W Wednesday October 2nd 2024 this. program starts. now football has a lot of news happening. around it right now with one of our best. players who is a legend for one. particular organization who happens to. be one of the most historic franchises. in history his of all those Sports then.

he makes a big time move to another. organization you know gets a big time. bag a new home with a quarterback that. he knows very well and uh an offensive. coordinator and everybody that kind of. wants him over there and they pay him. big deal then the quarterback's gone. everything's gone brand new operation uh. he says I want to get the hell out of. here allegedly and then now the Las. Vegas Raiders have said uh yeah you can. come and get Devon Adams Even though. this conversation was happening all. offseason it was shut down as of. yesterday now.

Devonte Adams is currently on the trade. block whoa there's a lot of teams. excited about the potential of adding. some greatness to your wide receiver. core and there are some teams that are. just mathematically out of the equation. there is some money that's going to be. owed to Devonte Adams over the next. couple years uh now 2025 2026 non-g. guaranteed so what does that mean well. means that the Raiders still probably. going to get a cap hit out of this thing. but also it means a new contract is. going to have to come alongside of this. particular trade 13.5 million is what's. due right now like every game check it.

goes down throughout the weeks so if. they were to wait for the deadline which. is November 5th it would be 8.5 million. owed to Devonte Adams nonetheless the. next two years non- guaranteed so this. contract is basically done after these. $13.5 million you would assume with how. this type of situation normally goes. with the NFL a new contract would have. to be negotiated which is like 30. million you know is what the going rate. is for number one wide receiver now. Devonte already got a bag it want how it. went with the Raiders is he looking to.

break the bank yet again in his prime 31. years old still one of the top guys of. all time has the most amount of. touchdowns since he joined the Raiders. in the entire NFL at 22 or something. like that is he going to want to break. the bank again probably going to have to. get paid so who will have $30 million to. spend over the next couple years who. will be able to add another number one. wide receiver a lot of people saying New. York Jets can whoa and he'd want to play. with Aaron roggers wouldn't he him and. Aaron made magic Aaron on Aaron Rogers. Tuesdays for numerous years whenever he. was teammates would say uh yeah that.

touchdown to Devonte wasn't called and. uh we literally just looked at each. other and we understood what was. happening yeah eight years ago we saw. the same exact coverage didn't we and. what did we do then well instead of. running a low stop we ran a Sluggo and. it was a touchdown him and Aaron speak. the same football language they did for. a long time we watched it Aaron won. multiple MVPs Devonte Adams became the. number one wide receiver conversation in. everybody's conversation he's still that. guy is what everybody saying around.

Devonte and if he and Aaron are able to. cook that magic in New York City O in. New York City boy that would be a hell. of a story to tell but don't leave out. the New Orleans Saints coach Williams. who's wide receiver coach down there is. actually his mentor he has said and his. personal wide receiver coach and also. his college roommate Derek Carr is the. quarterback in a Resurgence year for a. Saints offense that is explosive now. those are the teams allegedly that. Devonte has expressed interest in those. are two teams that the Raiders have. allegedly uh not just them other teams.

as well are open to trading Devonte. Adams too we shall see how it unfolds. everybody assumes K C Chiefs won't be in. play because that's a division rival I. think that's probably a smart assumption. Tom Tesco he uh formerly of the Chargers. operation division like I don't think. that'll ever happen but Devonte. moving is electrifying huge for. everybody but Raiders fans and I think. behind the scenes allegedly this had. been brewing for a while because Devonte. wanted a new contract he's seen. everybody else's contracts going bananas. and he goes wait a minute uh who's in.

the the top three conversation every. single oh me okay everybody else is. getting paid how come I'm not getting. paid just like Jamar Chase was feeling. the exact same way he had two years left. on his contract in this particular setup. of a contract he was only one year left. Devonte woned money allegedly quietly. behind closed doors then it kind of. boiled into this season now it is what. it is with Antonio pierce the head coach. of Las Vegas Raiders not even saying his. name yesterday whenever he was dressing. medical reports of him and Max Crosby. goes this is exactly how it goes one of. the pl with Max and Devonte at practice.

this week and is Michael Mayor back in. the building uh with Max and 17 all. depends on where they had healthwise as. of right now status quo and Mike is. still de with person okay so didn't give. away anything didn't say his name though. is that a little bit of a heat we shall. see I'm excited to learn where he goes. how he goes and what teams are. inevitably interested uh there's a. 9-year NFL vet here host of everything. could shake a tree if he had to he is a. phenomenal athlete and everybody tries. to learn from him he still has it 31. years old still got it I said it. yesterday a couple times I think he's. still in the prime of his career the. thing about being in the prime of your. career at wide receiver hopefully you. have a quarterback that's in the prime. of their career as well and then a play. caller that can also dial it up just. need so many things to go right for you. as a wide receiver so I can understand. the frustration from his part obviously. something going on behind the scenes. there with him and AP you know not. saying his.

name yeah that was big that was big. obviously after uh you know liking the. Instagram post as well you know Aon came. on here a couple times and talked about. how they were watching receivers so. that's how he saw a bunch of Jaden. Daniels films they were watching some of. the top receivers neighbors Brian thas. Jr so him being available obviously the. the team in the organization was looking. for another big play wide receiver. Devonte hitting the market another team. that was up there too the commanders you. pair him up with scary Terry with a. Young quarterback Jake Daniels on a. rookie quarterback deal so you would. expect him to have some uh money you.

know Mobility when it comes to the. salary cap I would love to see that with. young J D what he's doing in DC Cliff. kingsb would love to see it as well one. half of the hammer done Cowboys AP tonis. here Pittsburgh Steelers we just. mentioned three teams okay and there's. been two teams that have come out. publicly that Devonte Adams is. interested in and are interested in him. in the Saints and the Jets Pittsburgh. Steelers though big- time conversation. with Brandon auk allegedly this. offseason even up to like a $30 million. offer so they already have that amount. of money potentially ready to on the.

wide receiver but then people are also. saying the Baltimore Ravens Aon is a. Pittsburgh Steeler fan could you imagine. be a best offer type of situation I'm. not saying the Patriots are offering the. best offer because there are other teams. out there that could easily offer more. if they you know really do believe they. can go get a Super Bowl which by all. accounts this year the Patriots can't. but you would assume that they at least. make a call at least say something hey. look we know we're averaging 120 pass. yards a game but why don't you come here. why don't you come here and get 0 of. those B I mentioned Devonte picking and. choosing I guess you're right especially. with how it's going they're not.

necessarily I mean that goes back to. like what New England would do guys yeah. guys would come in allegedly and you. know publicly display that they're not. happy and then I was that go to. Cleveland and I was uh you Cleveland. right now I don't it's kind of the same. as what it was when into they they had. good times though they had a couple they. had a year year Baker won the playoff. and Joey Flack remember what Joe Flack. he did and then they said hey you want. another deal look elsewhere [ __ ] but.

anyways coaches and teams have done that. before and I guess GMS and teams have. done that before where they go to like. worse spot for Devonte Adams AQ Shipley. you've been a coach you've been a player. how did the rest of the league view like. let's say um because there was a couple. weeks ago Antonio Pierce said there's. some people making business decisions. and he sit on the tape so maybe we'll. have to look into the plays but was he. talking business decision behind scenes. too if like Devonte didn't want to be a. Raider and he potentially I have a ham. like there's no way that's the case. that's happening but is there a chance.

that teams are definitely calling and. asking that question like hey how where. did this go wrong or are we in a modern. era right now where people think if we. get him in our building he'll be better. than we don't give a [ __ ] like it's not. going to happen in our building like it. happened in other people yeah you nailed. it with the second comment everybody. thinks that whenever they get them in. their building they'll be completely. different and most most of the time. that's the case especially if it's a. winning franchise right when you look at. this he comes out with a hamstring on. Thursday it's like we. stink I I'll wait a couple weeks there's. a chance Could Happen we're not saying.

they're calling the Raiders and then I I. think back in the day that mattered more. I think now it doesn't matter like it. not working here in Oakland and him. saying 17 and all this [ __ ] happening. this quickly into this season when. seemingly going into the Year this guy's. one of our pillars we're going to build. around this guy this is the Raiders. culture that we want this that was. basically the conversation that was. happening and now it's like we're going. opposite directions I think back in the. day teams would have cared more about. that thing the word distraction I think. back in the day meant a lot more around. the league now it's like can I got a.

U we've seen him get paid who he is with. money so it's not like at least for me. and everything that we've seen once. again when Aaron was on yesterday.

talking about uh Aaron Jones Devonte was. one of the guys that he mentioned Jordy. was one of the guys that he mentioned. and and I from outside looking at how. this guy plays you can tell almost you. know how his teammates react to him how. much he loves the game when they were. sucking last year when Jimmy G was. throwing him you know in the in the big. hits and he was pissed off he was still. coming out there showing up and giving. his best effort and then the other part. of it is you know you if you come to a. championship culture if you come to a. team that's built to contend or compete. this year you expect to get the best out. of Devonte so I don't think it' be any.

concerns at that point with him now if. this is a rookie or a guy maybe on you. know two three years in you may have. some question and concern but I think. Devonte is pretty much silent who he is. around the league I said earlier he. could shake a tree I think like a. redwood would actually go with him think. that he's going one way shaking the. phone boo his cuts are just so. deliberate and so I don't he's not like. Ty Carroll runs a 4-2 right so that is. uh that is a he's might be the fastest. guy in the world that is a weapon wide. receiver to get open right that is our.

way to get open this dude is not the. fastest human on earth very fast but not. the fastest human on earth and can get. open on anybody like that is and his his. his catch radius hand is stupid it's. like that is why I feel like he. understands he's the number one wide. receiver in the league and I think he. wants to get back to proving it every. week I think he wants to get back to a. team where he can and like need a. quarterback I need a quarterback got got. to get with a quar CU all the things you. mentioned his sudden. you know his ability to separate his.

ability to catch show late hands read. coverages and adjust the coverages you. know mid route that's the tough when. receivers are out there thinking a lot. of people say hey this young guy he was. a 4-3 guy he's 63 all these different. things but you got to be able to get. open consistently obviously you got to. be able to make contested catches you. got to be able to read coverages your. route will completely change if it's. single high and it rotates to split. safety post coverage and if a. quarterback can't trust you to know. exactly where you need to be they're not. going to throw you the ball so all those. things he still has at an elite level.

right now with Devonte Adams well and. that's why it's like outside looking in. sure you could view it as like oh this. guy's you know a problem may maybe he is. I had no idea no clue but maybe he is. you know being a distraction but also. like he he went to Vegas for a couple. reasons and it's been three years he's. played with five quarterbacks he's had. two head coaches like there has to be. some sort of idea that hey everywhere. this guy's gone everyone's praised him. for how for how hard of a worker he is. he's been called the pillar of the. franchises he's been a part of like.

absolutely distraction is one way to. look at this but also at a certain point. the guy is towards the end of his career. he hasn't been able to you know play in. a playoff game in a very long time yeah. compete for a Super Bowl it's like you. can understand someone who who what did. he say last year or maybe it was this. year you know he he's not going for. stats he's competing against greatness. or whatever the the sentiment was that. he had when the whole Derek Carr thing. was going down so like if I'm any team. that's. either I mean I guess any team in.

general terrible you know bottom of the. league to one of these teams at the top. well I mean Colts is a not terrible team. not to the bot him but why not have. Devonte Adams come to the Indianapolis. Colts that'd be fun that'd be fun. Indianapolis dbut has seven teams he'd. like to see you on I just want to see I. want to see him on a good team I like. good players compete late in their. career I think Lions would be so awesome. cuz they don't have like a Devonte type. with the Lions and that would be that. team would be so fun to watch they just.

that accurate you know we've been in. football season you and Roman Reigns are. now uh tag team partners this weekend is. that right well you guys have been in. football season so I'm sure you saw what. what just went down with Alabama and. Georgia I'm sure what yeah did you see. that what what what a life yeah. fantastic you guys get to cover so I I. was at a live event and I went into the. ring when Georgia was getting destroyed. and I'm I'm a Georgia guy that's you. know Broad Streets the first place I. ever used my fake.

ID that's that's my my life is the dogs. I went to Georgia football camp as a kid. I took a picture with ugga all this. which one which ug was it uh it wasn't. auga five because UGA five was the. legend who took the bite at the Auburn. player yeah uh I'm not sure I didn't. know this is before you started they. started acknowledging the count oh yeah. Undisputed era failed us you uh you know. that there's always this will they. coexist thing when you when you get The. Odd Couple tag teams who's going to turn. on who whatever it may be this was a. good way of setting up that's not what. this match is about we've agreed to.

you're doing after the shows that's old. school you know that's like uh I've. heard stories about that type of thing. the champion and what the pressure of. being the champion is and representing. the company and the business there's. legendary Tales of Stone Cold Steve. Austin after the show goes off the air. he has beers in the middle of the ring. with a microphone and puts on a show to. the house that came in and helped us put. on a wonderful show to the worldwide. audience and it's only going to be. growing with the Netflix thing and. everything like that you have been that. guy for the WWE even before you got the. championship staying afterwards shaking.

everybody's hand signing absolutely. everything literally for hours and hours. and hours after the show and at the. beginning of. your it says there's more than one. wrestling royalty family Royal WR right. what is it wrestling is more than one. Royal yeah yeah yeah you get it the. whole thing you literally come for you. you feel like you're an old school dude. do you feel like that is the case I feel. uh I don't know it's really popular to. be old school anymore but I feel very. much it's just I have to be old school I. was raised in the business my dad never.

smartened me up to anything I just. watched it and half ass kind of figured. out what was going on and things like. you're you're talking about um Ria. Ripley does those things as well uh. Damen priest uh that they're they're. also people who like to engage cuz when. the lights go down and the cameras are. are off uh it's just as important what. we do then versus when we're on in the. moment and right now you're talking. about this record business that WWE is. doing well I've watched it cuz I grew up.

in it it goes up and it goes down and it. goes up and I'm of the thought that I'd. like to I know where I'd like to get. with WWE I know WWE is expanding I've. heard our marching orders so that stuff. we do at the end of the night is it. really should be mandatory and and for. me it just it feels like it's part of it. because it's a way to reach across. connect with people have that real. moment with them let them know I'm your. guy I'm your girl whatever and WWE has a. really good thing when it comes to the. Live Events live TV is about just making.

sure that everybody leaves extremely. happy prime example CM Punk uh really. really outdid me in the gifts Department. he bought pizza for the all of all state. Arena last night all of allate Arena I. can't imagine the pizza. bill that's good play Punk baby I mean. buying pizza for the entire Arena that's. that's a that's a baby face and it. should challenge everybody else myself. included I don't know how long why don't. you start doing that the gift giving in. Balance I don't know what Pizza Hut you.

get everybody Pizza Hut boy boy forever. you're you're locked in they're. definitely coming back no that was a. very nice gesture of uh of CM Punk to do. so he set the bar High yeah and you will. live up to it we know that that's what. you've been doing your entire time as. the champion with the WWE Connor has a. question so so how do you feel about. like the where it is going kind of like. the new school with the Netflix and. everything obviously raw just went back. or they are going back to two hours they. just did their last three-hour show. Monday but what do you think the Netflix.

is going to kind of change in the WWE. and how do the other superstars and. yourself feel about are you guys excited. or what is kind of the vibe going into. the whole Netflix thing I think locker. room is is through the roof morale wise. in terms of going to Netflix when we all. have it we all watch Netflix and love it. but the idea of the streaming era you. know truthfully WWE in the past was. actually always a little bit ahead of. the curb in terms of banking content and. at first it was 24/7 on demand then it. was the network and now peacock is. everything uh but Netflix is going to be.

huge for us when I say expanding and I. say where we're going and I think. certain individuals in the locker room. some of the some of the Champions some. of the uh the top guys and girls know. this as. well we uh we're going up in terms of. our public Spotlight I suppose college. football NFL those are the biggest. things on the planet they really really. are right we're moving up and trying to. get in that air and and if you you know. anything about what we're doing we're. not far off and Netflix I think is is.

definitely a big part of that this is a. huge deal for Netflix it's a huge deal. for WWE I'm just excited that we get to. kind of ride this new wave and raw being. two hours again the content being. perhaps uh tailored a little differently. what you saw with Roman and I and that. that package that might be a direction. that industry is going and being old. school you mentioned being old school. those things used to not not for me you. know many movies and things of that. nature years and years and years ago.

people can remember this my dad had. produced something for WCW called White. Castle of fear as helicopters and sting. went to the mountains to meet Vader and. there was like little people and turkey. legs and it was just this crazy scene. heavily panned by the audience to the. point where I just thought maybe that's. not ever going to be our world we're. never we're never going to have that. that throw it out that Cinema and then I. saw this and I thought wow especially. with what Mr hayon did with it and Adam. Panucci I thought wow like this might be.

a little bit more of what the direction. because we didn't play it silly it. wasn't spooky or anything of that nature. this was straight up two guys who really. sincerely feel this way about each other. having a conversation let's capture it. anything to tell the story I think is. good news especially in the modern era. especially with how many different. places you can get content like some. things are meant for social media you. know some video ideas which WWE is ahead. of everywhere y they they are very. focused on social and on digital then on. the linear television show okay what are.

some stuff that's stor for that and then. your [ __ ] with Roman works everywhere. because you're Cody rhods and Roman. Reigns but it's like the storytelling. ability that the WWE has is second to. none that's why I'm so incredibly lucky. that I get to work over there cannot. wait to get back to your world cannot. wait to get back there now when I was um. stopping in WWE and college football and. college game day was starting every. house was filled that's still happening. everywhere now we're doing more stadium. shows SummerSlam is going to be two. nights Royal Rumble is happening here in.

years ago I oh I like that I was here. for the NFL owners meeting there was no. reason that I should have been here for. this NFL owners meeting I was tagging. along with somebody else at the time and. I was there but all I did was there was. a steakhouse here in Indianapolis I. believe it's called Prime 47 oh yeah you. guys know about prime okay oh yeah and. that shrimp cocktail was worth the trip. okay so that's where I spent the. majority of the NFL owners meeting that. I should have never been near in any. capacity but so Prime 47 great hosting. restaurant here in Indianapolis uh Pacer.

Haw AJ what do you know about Devonte is. he going to the Jets is Aaron Rogers. already negotiating this deal what have. you heard since the announcement was. made just yesterday over a series of. tweets at Devonte Adams has asked for. his uh trade the Raiders have reached. out to some teams for a trade then we. find out it's going to take a two in. something else then we find out he likes. the Saints in the Jets what do you know. AJ Hawk a Maya probably has his ear to. the ground of the situation and by ear.

to the ground I mean his fingers to the. text and a group text that probably. taking place right now in his pocket. yeah well I mean I'm sure you would be. uh you're not surprised to know that I. don't have any really any extra. information this whole situation for you. I I absolutely do not but I do wonder. how long it has been going like this. like how long has Devonte won it out do. you think yeah I you tell I mean that is. literally the question that I I'm. wondering like did all a sudden hit him. like there's no this doesn't just pop up. out of nowhere I feel like well so if. you listen to Michael Lombardi uh of the. lombo line on Vin live I believe he he.

Raiders last year yes yeah he basically. said my reports accurate everything I've. been saying he's been looking for a new. deal quietly Devonte Adams was trying to. go about this in a very professional. manner he showed up he did his thing he. played looking for a new deal they are. who they are Gardner MCH just threw for. 120 yards it's not goingon to get better. it's gonna get wor yada ya Y which is. why it came to ahead you would think.

that there has to be a little bit of. History before we get to this point of. asking for a trade just a few weeks. after being you know kind of told that. he's a pillar of the Las Vegas Raiders. organization him and Max Crosby or who. they're looking to build around because. this trade chatter I mean that's I mean. shook waggle slow down late hands. fingertip catch just in that one let. alone all the other plays that take. place there he's so good there had to. been something that had this Brewing but. there's a lot of teams at want him right.

now A a lot of fan bases that are like. we'll take Devonte Adams we'll take. Devonte Adams non- guarantees there for. 2025 and 2026 on a contract which tells. us you're going to have to renegotiate a. new contract for Devonte Adams if you. trade for him maybe that'll scare some. people out of this conversation but. other than that a number two pick for. Devonte Adams I think I'm going I think. I'm going AJ Hawk if I'm the. Indianapolis Colts for sure yeah is that. I know you guys have been talking about. a little bit like the second round pick. situation is that pretty much confirm.

that that's what they're looking for. multiple people have reported it so we. just assume that that means multiple. people have been told that uh from. either the same person within Las Vegas. Raiders organization or different people. within Las Vegas Raiders organization. nonetheless we believe that to be true. now is that their opening offer though. could you get them for a three and maybe. a five you know if you do like a couple. different picks are you able to make a. play or a player if you're able to move. one Jets especially like reic you wonder. if especially with Crosby being a little.

banged up already if the Jets can work. something like hey why don't you take. this problem so if the Raiders had. Hassan reic to that dline uh obviously. that would be insane but they would have. to be able to get a deal done with him. got to pay him so that would mean it. would have to be like a third and hon. reic so the Jets would lose nothing. basically third round pick okay go run. the numbers and history of the draft go. run the num third rounders out there bro. there certainly is and we love telling. those stories you know why we tell them.

because third rounder made it I mean. that is if you go overall what third. rounders are overall what first rounders. are o this draft as a whole overall on. how many hit it's like I think the. fantasy land is that they all do and the. reality is they do not there's a lot. more bust than there is make and that's. why I get so confused about these. veteran prices for draft picks I feel. like all of us up here do all of us that. have played have been locker room even. watch it and for some reason whatever. their whatever the analytics is or.

whatever their book is it say hey a. second rounder third rounder fourth. rounder for this 30 year old 31 year old. wide receiver running back whatever it. is it it calculates different their math. is a little bit different in our math. and what we see is a proven vet a proven. guy who's going to come in the locker. room and I think you know change the. culture I know any young wide receiver I. have I would love for them to be around. Devonte Adams and a Young quarterback I. would love for them to be around a guy. like Devonte Adam so our calculations as. players for whatever reason the front. office I feel like they're operating in.

a whole different system our math is a. little different uh their math ain't. math to us in the entirety of it all but. if somebody gets Devonte Adams on their. team right now the conversation goes. from We're sputtering offense which a. lot of offenses are this year didn't. even think about like what if the. Vikings try to I mean that I wouldn't be. fair that's what I Jefferson and Devonte. can't be on the same and Addison yeah. not allowed. yeah Addison's a one on most teams can. they pay him do they have the money to. pay. him quarterback quarterback only get.

what 13 or something like that what kind. of deal what kind of deal does he want. that'd be a a pricey wide receiver yeah. because you just paid Justin Jefferson. but you have rookie quarterback JJ. McCarthy and Sam darnold who might be. his team that that might be why they. don't because they might have to pay Sam. darnold after this year unless they do. like a we'll be able to pay you this. year this amount of money but then. you're a free agent afterwards but. you're coming to A Team someone could do. that right someone could do that that's. trying to win trying to win this year. hey maybe we're not going to Extended.

but we want to we're going all out for. this year business can be done I mean. that that is certainly taking place uh. but there's a lot of fan bases doing. exactly what we're we can get him for. one year hold on pay 30 million that's. some money yeah I'll pitch in there were. so many times when I played where I'm. like wait you mean to tell me we. couldn't afford a fifth round pick for a. ke TB in his prime like what are we. doing like I get so confused by it as. well I mean we traded for Chandler Jones. for a second round picking a player and. he ended up having sacks over the next. three years y I think we talked about. Randy Moss earlier for a fourth I think.

I got fined for a tweet about that I. think I got time for a tweet about it I. was like Randy Moss were the fourth. rounder these days how is that even. possible and like are you questioning. the decision made I'm like all right. yeah and then to your guys's Point like. what what was the Washington trade to. move up to get RG3 three first yeah uh. yeah three first right that year and. then the next two years first round pick. and then I think something else the. Ricky Williams. whenever he came out it was like they. gave up like they gave everything they.

and that's strictly because of potential. but what the potential is you hope that. they become Devonte yeah that's what but. I guess they think the potential is like. a 10 years though they're thinking hey. Devonte we don't have 10 years in him. like that's I think I guess how they. would value that but that's tough to do. uh I saw the Pony Express in Pittsburgh. say uh uh we're GNA give up 30 million. plus he's 33 years old yeah so he's 31. years old which I think is a little bit. different especially whenever you get. into every year matters 31's not that. big of a deal there wide receiver. especially not like a guy like Devonte.

where you talked about like Tyreek Hill. who is still you know the fastest. receiver in the league but it's not like. Devon's the way he gets open is based. off just pure speed or explosiveness. he's kind of like in the vein of like a. like a Reggie Wayne like they're like. Savvy and into their 30s they're still. going to be great Larry Fitzgerald like. he wasn't a Blazer but he knew how to. use his body he knew how to read. coverages had a great catch radius was. smart so all these different things you. can play deep into you know you're 30 so. 31 I still think he's at the height of. his career right now and if we're. talking about like one year rentals like.

the one team that's not on there that. has the most cap right now is the 49ers. so like if if if the 49ers really wanted. to go all out not there was rumors now. there was they're not allowed to do that. there was rumors this Summer that they. were trying to do a three-way uh with. Steelers Raiders and Niners iuk Devonte. all that obviously it never came to. fruition but there was a report that. that was out there they were they were. interested but they did just sign IU and. we talk about quarterbacks on rookie. deals and with the fact that mcaffrey. doesn't look yeah let's let's talk about. mcaffrey a little bit which is very. interesting yeah auk hasn't hit his. stride yet after the deal gets done over. there if Devonte goes to the ners that's. a Madden team not allowed yeah can't do. it piols on IR makes sense you usually. get another guy in there everybody's. like the Chiefs going to well in the. division not going to happen and then we. just said the Vikings can't do it that. should not be allowed the Niners are the. most not allowed team to get Devonte. Adams I think I've ever heard of I think.

they not allowed yeah and that's a team. that Devonte maybe does do like one year. he's from that area right I mean that he. would still be because that was one of. the reasons he went to Vegas because. he's like closer family much closer to. the family the ners would fit that bill. still oh no Brock party too he'd be able. to figure it. out might help iuk a little bit the. JJ I mean I think you have to look at. the these situations as can he make us a. Super Bowl Contender right now does this.

make our team better immediately the. Texans I I think their receiving core is. strong and set I don't think they're. good the Steelers is an interesting one. I do think he can obviously help that. receiving core the Niners I mean you. guys have already said it that would be. pretty wild Chiefs could certainly use. him with some of the injuries that they. have but again that's one of those where. he goes there and you're like son of a. [ __ ] that's like Kevin Durant to the. Warriors um so it's tough man I mean I I. actually do think the Steelers make a. lot of sense I don't know what they what. they want to do there how they're. planning obviously the Jets makes a lot.

of sense um but when you're taking on. that type of that type of guy in that. type of situation you have to decide is. this going to make me better right now. can this take us to a Super Bowl right. now and I think there's some teams that. that doesn't necessarily fit for there's. so many different reports happening all. at the same time about who's interested. in what and the Raiders are reaching out. to these people and you know teams are. obviously interested in Devonte Adams. and I think what is the interest level. is the interest level actually checking. in saying what is it going to take to. get this thing done is the contract a.

part of this entire thing will there be. a hold out situation will this get ugly. so I think there's a lot of people. poking around as there should be. inevitably I think this is going to. happen relatively quick I think there's. a chance age that some it's early in the. season and it's not like this is an 0. and4 situation you know like sometimes. you get those where it's 0 and4 you got. a star player and you're like he he's at. a point in his career where he wants to. go win you understand those ones this. one's not not necessarily that like it's. not like they're completely out of. anything here so this one is is. definitely a little more interesting but.

watching the press conferences and. seeing the way people talk I agree with. you this one seems like it's going to. move very fast well congrats to all. parties now let's talk about another. situation that is happening we talked. about San Francisco 49ers there so we. didn't know a killes was involved at all. in any of the Christian mcaffry. offseason stuff we thought it was calf. and then all of a sudden shf on like. Monday of opening week maybe is like uh. uh he's got a calf Achilles and we go. whoa whoa whoa whoa we didn't hear the. Achilles it's like well it's actually. Achilles arthritis or tontis or what.

yeah tontis or whatever it is so he's. just waiting for the inflammation to go. down he travels over to Germany gets. some treatment that isn't legal here in. the United States but isn't uh cheating. either it's kind of a similar treatment. but they just do it differently over. there it's supposed to happen he comes. back they're getting on the field this. week we'll see how it goes nobody has an. answer and then it comes out like. yesterday what actually on both legs. he's actually had this on both and the. way Shanahan kind of gave the answer it. was like uh it was like no during the.

time he's had it in both I think it. started in one then you overcompensated. in one to the other but mainly one of. them has just been bothering him but. he's had it in both so I think potential. other tendon uh uh achilles tendonitis. in past like maybe a year ago two years. ago maybe throughout the entirety of. this thing it exists cuz tendon kns can. flare up whenever now it's also in the. other one which is probably why they're. bit alarmed or perturbed in this whole. thing how do you read this what do you. think happens here and uh how bummed out.

are you just like me that we haven't. seen Christian mcaffrey and I did not. expect this at all this season I thought. Christian mcaffrey was going to go and. if you listen to shefer who we think is. pretty in in the information game and. all this he drafted Christian mcaffry in. the first round of his fantasy football. this year so he thought I think shefer. thought Christian mcaffry was going I. think a lot of people did then this just. kind of comes out of nowhere quite a. bummer in my eyes but how do you see it. working out JJ how how first how's. shefer allowed to play Fantasy Football. I feel like that should be that should. be against they all have that one show.

remember field uh vanderfield Yates he. disl broke his shoulder down at the. fantasy football draft uh tackle. celebration on S everybody called him. soft he sold out it's a good tackle yeah. I I kind of have. anyway um yeah I think I think it is. certainly snowballed downhill here. quickly I mean we I remember that first. week of the season whereever was like is. he going to play is he not is a game. time decision and now to be sitting here. you know four weeks later in zero.

timetable for return he's gone to. Germany which is generally never a good. sign when you're over there midseason um. I. think no you don't want to speculate. obviously about what what happened over. there but there's been many guys that. have gone over to Germany in the past. and they they do have you successful. things over there no I've done some. similar treatments to what they do over. there I've never actually gone over. there I mean I know Kobe's been over. there um we talked about that before. um so it does there are there are. definitely things that help with. tendonitis that's for sure so I'm hoping.

that that he got that and it helps. extremely quickly because the world. wants to see him but this is always a. fascinating part for me with sports as. well is we put these timelines on things. and we have these expectations for these. guys because we're not attached to them. whatsoever we just want to see them on. the field we don't really we're like. just get back out there four weeks five. weeks but the person like he's going. through just Agony like he wants to know. what's wrong he wants know how to make. it better every single day he wants to. make progress towards getting back on. the field yet all he does is turn on the.

TV and see everybody talking about. when's it going to get back what is it. what it it adds this stress this anxiety. on top of you that as a player is really. tough and we do forget because we make. all the big money because there's so. much gambling on the line because. there's billions of dollars on the line. everybody wants the information I. understand but at the same time I do. think that we sometimes forget that. these guys are human and he literally. has something extremely painful going on. in his Achilles and if he could be out. there in any capacity he would be godp. speak Christian CMC M get back soon get.

Insight on it and I I agree Aaron. Aaron's Cadence is very difficult to. play against I think the Cadence is one. of the most underutilized things in the. National Football league and when. somebody uses it properly it is a very. legitimate weapon um so I don't think.

that he should ever back it down because. it truly can get you extra first downs. extra yards extra opportunities I mean. everybody knows he's the best at getting. guys to jump off sides and then taking a. deep shot down the field and why not. it's a deep ball you have a chance to. connect on it but the thing that Aaron. does so well and it is difficult AQ. obviously can speak to this everybody. has to be on the same page there's so. much information that they have but if. you do it right Aaron is like chaos it. is he goes up to the line and it always. sounds the same but he could do it on.

three he could do it on four like most. guys have it's on one or it's on two and. that's about all they can handle. mentally and all the offensive line can. handle mentally let's be honest here. we're not dealing with you know rocket. Sciences we got to keep it got keep. pretty simple but aens he'll he'll go on. four and it sound they all sound the. same as one and most guys like if. they're going on two you can tell like. it's like a hard one and then the second. one or they're always his always the. same and generally their offensive line.

knows that he likes this enough that. they aren't tipping each other off like. AQ was speaking about earlier offensive. line always has that little you know. hold your water or Jeter Jeter because. it's on two or something like that. Aaron's guys generally in the past at. least when I've played him haven't. really given it away so it completely. negates your ability to get a good jump. on a pass rush and it can give you a few. extra plays a game free plays yeah it's. one of the things that separates him I. think like that is literally a part of. his game his accuracy his ability to. read the defense and then also his. Cadence is what people like attribute to.

him and I think other quarterbacks ask. him about the Cadence I feel like it's. one of his things so whenever it was. kind of presented in that press. conference like hey what you're like. maybe the greatest all time at we're. have to slow that thing down a little. and then he's like it's like telling a. pitcher like your fast Ball's too fast. man just catcher can't catch up knock it. down yeah like no well get a new [ __ ]. catcher man I don't know exactly that is. got what his answer was but I like for. AQ an interesting conversation I'd love. to have with him is like he was talking. about the offensive line Ace blocks you.

come up to the line and they have to. kind of remind each other of everything. for me as a vet the further you go the. more you can pick up on those and use. them early in your career you just got. to focus on your job I just need to. worry about what I have to do but as you. go later those guys start talking I know. the play before it starts if I hear CC I. know that's a a c block they're going to. come down so I I know exactly what Run. play is coming if I hear Jeter Jeter I. know that's on to or some guys say soo. soo for second color that means if he. says green 18 green that's the second.

color so they're snapping Conor stallion. in in the middle of these games sounds. like oh yeah they do they decoding and. we're we're the same way like La New. York is like a big thing with like Blitz. calls right so like I'm picking that up. and I'm like yo if we got a scoop here. let's slow this down turn it into an ace. on the run it's like it's little things. like that but it's it's so true what he. said like as you get older you have to. like I know when I played next to Justin. ask me why don't they change the calls. like don't they know that and I'm like. yes but the the nature of the NFL is. guys are changing teams so often. practice squad guys are coming up guys. are getting hurt you have to have. similar calls for these guys to be able. to plug and play every week so basically. every team in the NFL generally has one. set maybe two sets of calls that cover. the whole league you could plug in play. in any offense pretty much I get you I. got you on a field goal probably one. time I think I think I probably got you. if I had probably the field goals are. tough cuz those guys are watching the.

hand you know the hand or like the. center's head Bob things like that those. those ones are tough um another big one. is the play clock the play clock is a. big one you see that play clock winding. down you know they can't go on two as. soon as that thing hits zero they have. to snap it so boom you're off the ball I. against the Colts in a playoff game. learn the hard way that's right that the. refs won't throw a delay of game flag. until the clock is past zero yeah cuz. remember they say clock Dan clock Dan.

then throw or something like that there. I was always like somebody might as well. take advantage cuz we all relax well. that's like fake spike play you you know. I think pton was trying to do that a. bunch of times those deception plays are. awesome in theory and when they work out. that's beautiful yeah um hands too right.

sometimes for certain fake puns right. certain fake punts don't. work. classic yes hey some quarterback's hands. though too right Ain there like some. tells that come like some quarterback's. hands will like before the ball is about. to actually get snapped they like just. move their fingers just a little bit and. dtack I don't think people understand. the level of scrutiny that we to. opposing team's film like you said. whether it's the hands sometimes the. guys heal if one heals a little bit more. off the ground than the other that's a.

pass play if it's flat it's a run play. or if one foot's a little bit more in. front of the other that means he's going. to open to the left versus open to the. right uh there's so many different. things offensive lineman stances I mean. everybody knows the old school one where. if they have weight down their fingers. and their Knuckles are white versus if. they're back but it's a two-point stance. versus is that twoo in his InStep or is. it to the heel like we literally dissect. you say Conor STS and that's why it was. so funny to me with the whole thing is. I'm like every single team in the. country if you're a reputable.

organization whatsoever is trying to. find every single advantage that one's. its own but like we are trying to find. every minute little detail we're. listening to every TV call for the. Cadence for the inflection of the voice. for the offensive line calls anything. we're trying to find any advantage we. can which is why having a great Cadence. is a massive weapon and why Aaron goes. uh if we're going to be trying to win. the Super Bowl here the Cadence has to. stay I don't know about everybody else. but Cadence's going to have to stay. quite a weapon you show coverages too.

are you go on that two or three you got. a blitz something like you know if AJ. got a blitz or I got a blitz maybe we if. I my Blitz he catches me all right AJ. here you take it you switch it but you. get that safety rotation and. quarterbacks you know at a you know you. 10 15 years in the game all right it's. going to be this coverage you get a guy. on film who you know can't really hold. his water maybe it's a new guy in the. lineup you it's always tell so it's a. lot of things that go into that Cadence. on every the D linan the linebackers in. the DBS and if you have the D lineman on. their heels just a little bit like he. said if they go on two or whatever that.

opens up everything for instance a run. game let's go to the Baltimore Ravens. cuz in the first quarter of the Run game. was going and that hasn't been good in. the history of that particular running. back yeah you're very familiar with this. guy Derrik Henry still doing it at a. high high level uh I feel like most of. his big runs have come with Patrick. Ricard in the game as well what's your. thoughts on this Baltimore uh Run game. as a whole yeah I mean I think I sit. there and I look you know Derrick Henry. obviously switching teams and people. have The Narrative of running backs. being you know short shelf life or you. know he's turned 30 and now all of a.

sudden he's old which is is ridiculous. to even say out loud um but I think we. have to give him his flowers he's gotten. a lot of them but I think he deserves. even more because the guy just continues. to perform at an unbelievably high level. especially for a guy his size you would. look at a guy his size and think massive. guy all these yards all these carries. over the years he's going to break down. over time he just continues to do it at. the highest level and now in one of the. most potent rushing offenses following a. guy like Patrick aard so uh I tip my hat. to him because I know how difficult that.

is and we've seen running backs fall off. before and he clearly doesn't look like. he's falling off at all so I think it's. a massive statement about his training. regimen about the way he takes care of. his body and doesn't look like he's. slowing down anytime soon at all doesn't. he do those rubber he does like 315. earthquake bark yeah with the earthquake. bar like his workouts legendary in the. off season and then pairing him with. Patrick rard. and then them starting the game with an. 87 yard r i mean that's like that's. dream start for that's demoralizing for.

a defense I can tell you that you're. standing out there and on play one like. all week long you talk about your goals. for the week and it's like all right. under 105 yards rushing guys if we keep. under 105 we're going to win the game. play one 87 all right guys we got about. 20 yards to play with here rest yeah. it's going to be tough Derrick Henry. third fourth quarter normally is where. the story comes from the fact that they. had that rolling in the first quarter. insane they're potentially one of the. teams that fans are thinking maybe Dante. Adams goes and joins this squad and with.

the way Lamar Jackson's playing and with. the way Derrick Henry's playing and the. way that defense is always going to be. it's like hold the phone those all black. uniforms are nice I just that's a goodl. looking always a goodlooking uniform and. their fans we talked about this with. Kyle vanoi their fans don't get enough. credit for being like uh a tenacious. Squad out there you know they talk [ __ ]. they're loud they get it a great place. to play yeah phenomenal fan base smart. football fans you know they know when. they know how they know what is going to. get under some people's skins I mean it.

riding with him for a couple years and. seeing what happens we know he's not. going to be a long-term solution because. he can't be but he can clearly still. play ball at this level and he's better. than some of the 32 starters in this. league I would assume um so you got a. guy like that you got a guy like d you. give him a shot especially if you're one. of these teams with a Young quarterback. you want to give a chance to sit um I. think that's kind of what happened here. with the Colts is he was obviously. insurance for Anthony Richardson and. it's working out well for him right now. but how come somebody's not giving him. that week one job and saying hey we're. not exactly in the spot where we have.

our quarterback of the future but we. want to win let's put Flo there we're. happy that it happened here in. Indianapolis and it came out Cleveland. Browns didn't even offer them uh to come. back after leading them to the playoffs. after coming in middle of the season and. then just spinning it all over the yard. and obviously that's happening because. the amount of money they pay to Sea we. don't need these Browns fans and the elf. you know that elf run wild over there to. be clamoring for Joe flacko if Deshawn. doesn't work out early which is kind of. happening right now is it Deshawn is at. the offensive line is at everything.

whatever the case flacko would be. getting his name chanted over there so. instead he ends up with the Colts and. it's with Shane stien and he knows the. offense we have some weapons and when he. steps in there Ben wesburger even said. on football and he was like they got a. running back in Jonathan Taylor so like. AR being able to run is certainly an. advantage but Joe flacko has Jonathan. Taylor who's running very well and he. knows the Steelers defense he knows this. offense he's incredibly accurate and. he's just he's very calm at all time I. don't see have we ever seen him really.

FL there's never been a flustered Flo. nope ever been a flustered Flo he's been. through everything just like when we had. uh luck he now he wasn't he wasn't as um. It you can send out the free kick which. is what the puke Pirates smart how many. times did you do it. zero well we were ready for it we were. we were prepared we were [ __ ]. prepared and I learned about it somebody.

[ __ ] War letterman jacket somebody. called somebody they assistant principal. shows up at the place there was parties. happening other I mean it was full scene. wait wait wait wait hang on I'm they. just went to breakfast breakfast skip. school it was like skip school pretty.

much soccer team we lose like four or. five guys football team we lose like 10. 11 guys I was morning morning of you. suspended players from missing one dude. it became a big day it became a big. [ __ ] ordeal dude there was a lot of. high horse and going around with those. uh teachers and then we would learn more. about said teachers that were involved. in said conversation he like oh can't go. to breakfast huh who we going to. breakfast with these athletes think they. can get away with everything is pretty. much what they said yeah some of those.

teachers you two good old boys said no. no no no we want to learn what I'm learn. the when I say I'm living the dumbest. and luckiest life of all time I mean it. like that morning I just so happened to. have to do it like literally was going. like definitely can't wait there was. even a little get together after the. breakfast that was they walked in people. hiding under daes jeez I mean it's a. nightmare they like a full sting. operation on people eating pancakes get. over yourself well the pancakes at that. place were phenomenal but it was mostly.

the smiley Kies and then uh Justin King. ran for like 400 yards cuz he was the. fastest human on the earth at the time a. do yeah didn't matter anyways no no no. no no no no it's quite a scene quite a. scene in our high school though big. drama and all the teachers you know. weren't the biggest fans of old Pat. Daniels is the quarterback just that. little bit of hesitation make sure that. he doesn't run back down from the.

backside you get both guards pulling you. get a hell of a deuce block on the front. or Trey block on the front side between. tackle and tight end watch them move him. 10 yards downfield into the linebacker. and then he goes untouched 29 yards for. a touchdown for the most part debuts I. got to ask you um since there was the. other guy outside of Buddha outside. contain he shouldn't have hesitated at. all looks like Buddha got to go and. Chase that down from from the looks of. you got another pressure another rusher. from the outside that out most outside. rushia has the edge in the quarterback. typically can't take instincts away from.

you're going to get the Right Guard. pulling behind the center the left guard. pulling behind Center and left tackle. now go through to the linebackers and so. there's a lot of eye candy for the. linebackers like oh [ __ ] I see puller I. got to hesitate which allows Center left. tackle to climb on the linebackers cuz. it hesitates them now you get the Wham. on 42 right there from Ricard boom Rosen. Gard does a nice job kicking out now. check out the block that Springs this is. Mark Andrews getting a beautiful angle. outside in and this hits between 4270.
