Let's go. >> [ __ ] I think I. made a wage. today.
heard the running. >> in Berkeley, California. You got it.
It's. >> This one's for three. AJ Hawk. $5,000. Heat. Heat.
Hey, hey, hey. You make me want you. Put my hands up. My hands up all again now.
USA, USA, USA.
Come on in. Yeah,
I'm a.
The following program is a collection of. students talking about happenings in the. sports world. It is meant to be comedic, informative. The opinions expressed on. this show do not necessarily reflect the. beliefs of their peers, their boss, or. ESPN. There may be some cuss words. because that's how Cubans into the real.
world talk. If you are a young, please. seek permission before watching any. further. >> Hey, what? >> Let's go. This show sticks and the fact that you. listen, we are very, very thankful for. it. >> McAfee on the line with a gorgeous. assist. >> The alltime leading tackler for the. Green Bay Packers. You pick. >> stutter. Damn it. >> Be a friend. Tell a friend something. nice could change their life.
sport. >> Hello beautiful people and welcome to. our humble boat. The draft kings. thundered out on this what Wednesday. October 14th 2026. This sports program. begins now. >> Football is spectacular. And we are on. NFL week 6 eve Wednesday here October. 14th 2026. The days are flying by. The.
football is spectacular. And a whole new. round of storylines starts tomorrow. night. Saturday morning, we cannot wait. to get out to Provo for College Game. Day. It's first time in 17 years that. game day has gone to BYU. I'm pumped. >> for BYU to showcase how awesome their. student section is. I'm pumped to. experience that campus. Now, I have been. reading some rules of the campus. I. believe I will be staying off campus for. uh a lot of different reasons. And there. was a time at BYU where you couldn't. have caffeine,
>> okay, on campus. They have stopped that. since 2017. And we have a Celsius energy. stage. I'm actually pretty excited to. see the dynamic of the students and our. show in the interactions and I think the. amount of pride that that place has for. that place. I think everybody that. associated with them has offered up to. come back for however we need. Very. excited for who the guest picker is. We. will be announcing that tomorrow. I. think the entire BYU world is going to. show up. And then the Catholics are just.
coming in undefeated as 10 and a half. point favorites. They haven't played. anybody. They haven't played anybody. Well, I think they're going into a tough. atmosphere with a lot of eyes on him. playing a very difficult Khalani Satakei. squad who's going to start with the Haka. and end with CJ Carr cementing himself. as one of the guys or with Bear. Bachmeire and BYU having an upset that. maybe changes the course of this entire. 2026 college football season. Now, changing the course of things might. happen over the next few days. We'll.
have Pete Famo on in about an hour from. now. Feels like the 2014 playoff is. cooking. Feels like the 2014 playoff is. cooking for college football for a lot. of different reasons. Pat Ford is. reporting out of the SEC basketball. media days that Greg Seni signaled what. is widely expected the league to open a. 2014 playoff if the SEC scheduling. expectations are met nationally and that. a decision should come sooner rather. than later. Seni in the SEC and Petiti. and the Big 10 have a lot of power in. what happens going forward for the.
football aspect. Now, the Protect. College Sports, both Petiti and Seni. were the last ones to come on board and. say we're good with the Protect College. Sports Act. Without them, would have. never happened. Now, the Protect College. Sports Act has all the commissioners of. every conference, every AD, every. president, every everybody's there's. detractors to that. I'm sure they'll. battle it out to see what happens. But. for the football side of things, college. football playoff, there's people in. charge of that that can make actual. changes. If Seni and Petiti aren't on. board, they have no chance of getting it. passed. Uh, Petiti had been very open.
about wanting a 2014 playoff. Now, a lot. of people have talked about why would. you want that? Especially when Ohio. Michigan's one of the biggest games of. the year. Why would you want to maybe. get rid of the importance of one of your. regular season games for a 2014 playoff. whenever you can have one, two, three. losses, you know, and it just becomes a. much diluted product is how some people. think. Well, I I think what a lot of. people are realizing is the amount of. money that is being invested into these. teams by schools and by NIL. There's a. lot more parody in the uh college. football. We've been talking about that. for a while. But there's also has to be.
some hope. If you lose a game early or. you lose two games early in the first. two months of the season and you have a. $30 million uh roster and then you have. no hope to make the playoffs at the end. of that, that could really collapse a. lot of things that are happening and. obviously ruin what is uh seemingly a. very good thing happening in a lot of. different places as they're building. with the booster. So hope needs to be a. thing. Uh return on investment needs to. be a thing is what they're thinking. But. also, we think that uh this is the. people that won the 2014 playoff. We. think if you give people a little bit.
more reprieve in each week, they'll. schedule harder games. >> They'll have bigger matchups. They won't. be playing against a D2 school for three. weeks and then playing their conference. games and then playing absolutely nobody. because everybody's scared to get a. loss. So, they go ahead and pack that. with terrible games at the beginning. Cuz why would you want a hard game? If. you have a loss, you have another loss. in your conference play. all of a sudden. you're out of this thing and now you got. a kick for the next season. So there's a. lot of reasons why people have wanted. it. There's been a lot of reasons. traditionalists and college football. people that say 12 is too much. We have.
blowouts in the first round of 12. What. is 24 going to prove? It's just going to. make everything worse and the regular. season games aren't going to matter. So. Seni, I think was pretty open about not. wanting to go to 24. Believe it or not, I think the ESPN executives are pretty. open about not wanting it to go to 24, even though everybody thinks that ESPN's. the one driving this. There's a college. football playoff committee that's doing. that. ESPN does not sit on that. committee. Although they do invest a lot. of money into college football. They. don't have the say in it. So Seni coming. out and saying there's an openness to. going to 24 is a huge deal. This is a.
very big deal for the process of the 24. team playoff happening. He has been. somebody I think that is uh very much. about the SEC but also very much about. the sport, not just football. He's the. commissioner of all the sports and he'll. tell you all the national championships. and all the different sports that the. SEC has every single year. You see. gymnastics. How about baseball? Do you. see softball? Did you see this? I'm. like, well, you don't have hockey. He. was going to go get DU. He was going to. go get Denver University potentially. represent the SEC to see if they could.
win a national championship in hockey. Said that in Jess, but that is how he. actually believes. He has been hesitant. on this while the others have kind of. pushed. his members according to source. >> s close to the situation have been a. little bit more open to the concept here. recently they would just like to have a. conversation about what's happening with. the SEC championship what's happening. with the championship games the SEC. championship has become. a massive deal I I mean that has become. a a rating machine uh obviously down in. the south a big deal to have the SEC.
championship so what's going to happen. with that what's going to happen with. the scheduling and also are other. conferences going to be have as many. conference games as we have because the. SEC has nine conference games plus one. Other conferences have eight conference. games. So, you can obviously schedule. the different side. So, if there is an. agreement, I think for everybody to have. hard games, the same amount of big. games, same amount of hard games, and if. we can figure out what's going on with. the championship game weekend, which I. think is figure outable, it feels like. the 24 game uh team playoff is coming.
Feels like that is going to take place. There's going to be people pissed off. There's going to be people incredibly. pumped. There's going to be coaches. excited because they're going to get. people off their ass because their. team's going to make the playoff. whenever they probably shouldn't have. made the playoffs. But I think. inevitably we're going to see some. blowouts in their first round. >> But nonetheless, college football's get. bigger games, more meaningful games. Who. will have the rights to those games? That's the next conversation that's. going to take place as well. Business. always follows up with decisions that. are made for the field. We assume all. will go well because college football is. up and to the right in a huge way.
Hopefully this will only continue that. Pete Thomp will join us in about an hour. for that. We got JJ Watt joining us here. in a few minutes and joining us live in. the Thunderdome. He's a 12-year NFL. veteran, uh, Super Bowl champion, player. and coach, man. Goes in the trenches and. has a daughter right now has multiple. kids, but has a daughter right now who. might be on her way to leading the. United States of America women's. national. >> Come on. Hell yeah. >> A ship here. >> A Penn State would not be making a 20 48.
team play. right now. we've already punted it the. next year. >> But I do think Penn State's a big part. of the story because now it's coming out. like is Pat Craft athletic director. going to be able to continue to get the. money if they continue to not have the. success because that's a big part of. this. Everybody's talking about um you. know coaches want to have hope. It's. also the boosters and the alumni that. are giving the money for these things. that want to continue to have hope. because if they cut that off you're in. trouble. >> Oh big trouble. And like signetti comes. to Indiana the first year he was here I.
don't think he got anywhere near the. amount of money that a lot of other. schools at the top were nowhere near it. but he had success so then the alumni. and the boosters are like hey here's. something that we are okay with getting. zero return on our interest because this. isn't like an investment where you get. money back we are getting zero return on. our investment other than watching our. alumni our school that we love have. success so keeping that happening I. think there does have to be a little bit. of hope and expectation Penn State might. be the focal point of that conversation. actually with how it's going right now. >> Well, we saw with Texas Tech, right? I.
mean, they they were a team that was not. very good. All of a sudden, they dump a. bunch of money in and you can go from. kind of last to first overnight, right? I think that's that's where we're at. right now with college football. So, I. think they have to show that they're. going to continue to fight. You can't. just roll over and lose the next eight. games. You got to fight. You got to win. some games. You got to steal some games. And this is a perfect weekend, right? Go. into Michigan and beat a Michigan team. that I know isn't very good, but great. tradition. And if you can go in and at. least steal a win there, maybe it tells. the fan base, hey, let's go. Let's dump. some more money in.
>> But I I think firings of coaches have. happened because the people that are. giving a lot of money to build the. roster in the team who don't have actual. say, but certainly have power to remove. something very important are saying, "Hey, we're not supporting this anymore. if this is going to be what this is.". And that sucks that that's the world. that we're in that people that don't. might not know a lot about. I'm not. saying every booster alumni doesn't know. about ball because Cody Campbell down. there in Texas Tech, he's an NFL. offensive lineman. building the trenches. too, by the way. So, feels like they're. probably going to do well and you love. them. That's probably why you pointed. them out as opposed to everybody else.
But a lot of these money people can pick. and choose if they want to give you. millions of dollars or not. >> Absolutely. >> That that is a real that is a real. conundrum happening in right now. Everybody's talking about there's the. halves and have nots. The halves can. become the haveotss just if they decide. not to if the boosters and alums decide. not to do that. So, crazy time. 2014. playoff I think puts a lot more people. at ease but there's going to be a lot of. people pissed about the dilution of the. regular season games and then the. championship weekend talks here at. Boston Conor at Tai Schmidt Big 10.
championship game here in Indianapolis. we obviously go to it we love it we have. a good time Iowa's made it there a. couple times the future of that might be. in question but let's leave that out. >> how do you feel about the 2014 playoff. for college football and what do you. think most Big 10 people think because. Petiti was a big driver for this. allegedly Petiti wouldn't and sign on. for the protect college sports thing. unless there was an automatic that it. was going to 24 allegedly. Uh so he's. been a big driver behind it. It seems. like it's inevitable now. >> Yeah, I I don't mind it because like you.
said, I mean I think you're kind of. naive if you were holding out hope like. hey this is never going to happen. We. kind of have the perfect system like. right when I mean it's like with the NFL. and and adding another game like right. when we kind of bucked from the previous. trend and they went to the 12 team. playoff like it it was pretty evident. with how much money this whole thing. makes. they're going to kind of keep. going and add to this. I don't think. people in the Big 10 don't mind too much. because I think the biggest gripe with. what it is right now is we have these. Power Five teams that get in and. realistically like they have they they.
don't really have a shot of winning. I. think if you get a couple teams in the. Big 10 who maybe had like a nine and. three season like that could be in any. given Saturday type thing where it's. like you could see a power conference. Big 10 team who maybe had a couple slip. ups against good competition. they could. go beat anybody. And as like an Iowa. fan, a team that's kind of habitually on. the outside, like just on the precipice. of making the 12 team uh playoff, like I. kind of love it. Um and I think also. like you were talking about it, I think. it maybe does add a little bit of. stability because you kind of have to.
reframe what you view as successful now. you know, if teams are if if you know, yeah, you want to win a national. championship every year, but if you have. a coach who goes nine and three in. back-to-back years at like a a blueb. blood and you make the playoffs both. years, like are you still going to fire. that guy and pay out $70 million and. have a massive roster overhaul? Like, you would think maybe we will have a. little bit more stability around college. football because, you know, institutions. won't be as quick to fire coaches. So, I. don't mind it. We're going to have.
blowouts regardless. So, you know, what's the difference between 12 and 24? We're going to get the same four best. teams at the end, you would think. >> Let's head to Hammer. Dod. Tone, what is the other thought about. these regular season games not meaning. as much uh if you have 24 teams because. you can have a loss? You have three. losses maybe and still sneak into the. top 24 in the CFP's eyes. So, what's the. regular season if we if the G so nothing. matters anymore, Tone? Is that what's. being said? Basically,
>> listen. Yeah. Is it diluted for sure? Like cuz you know in the BCS era it's. two teams in national championship. You. lose one game you're potentially out of. that. Then if you go from there to the. you know the 12 the 14 playoff the 12. team playoff. Yes the regular season. gets diluted every single year but it's. not to a point where the regular season. doesn't matter at all. I mean all these. games are still going to matter. Yes. You you kind of you talked about Ohio. State Michigan like the last game of the. year that rivalry weekend. Maybe. something needs to be changed with. robbery weekend because yeah, you could.
have a an undefeated Ohio State team. But when I talked to AJ and he he still. says like I said like what matters now. for Ohio State fans at this point and he. said one beating Michigan and two. winning a national championship. Like. yes, you're still going to be in the. playoffs if you lose that game to. Michigan, but it's still means a ton to. the fan base. And a lot of these teams. that you know play rivalry games later. in the year, it's still going to mean a. ton to that fan fan base just for. bragging rights and stuff like that. Will it affect the playoffs as much? Maybe. You know, there's going to be. maybe more rounds on on campus and stuff.
like that, which is a huge deal for. these schools. So, yeah, it'll dilute. the regular season some, but I not to a. point where people are going to stop. watching college football. I can tell. you that. >> Yeah, the NFL has loses every weekend of. teams and people are still watching, you. know, and I know college football fans. aren't necessarily all NFL fans and they. say college football is different. I. agree. It certainly is. with everything. on the line every single weekend, the. pageantry, the anxiety, I still think. the quality of play and the quality of. uh entertainment will still draw even if. there is a two loss, three loss team.
going in the weekend to play to get into. the playoffs. I mean, then there's going. to be games at the end of the season. where it's to get into the playoffs as. well. Uh there's it's going to happen. We're just going to have to enjoy. But. the old the old college football heads. are not going to like it. And I hear. from them a lot, you know, because I get. a chance to uh be the youngest guy on. college game day. So, there is certainly. a little bit of a give and take with. that entire generation, I would say. Uh, but college football is excellent. It's. going to continue to be great and we're. pumped about that. 2014 playoff. I don't. know if I love it or hate it. I guess.
we'll have to experience it first. We'll. talk to Pete in the next hour. Away from. college football, let's pivot to the. NFL. Nine-year NFL vet. Darius J. Butler. is here. Shout out Yukon on the hat and. the helmet. Not Duke Kane, although you. would pull for them if they were playing. against. >> my boy Leebot. He's my OG when I came to. league. >> Okay. I like Leebot, not Duke Kane. He. made to the NFL. >> I like that. Just like John Simmons. John Simmons made it to the NFL as well. >> Shout out. Yep. Rest in peace. >> Rest in peace John Simmons. Yeah, he he. was all over the field. He he kick he. kick off if you need him to. >> Christian Coats in the league from Ste.
>> Shout out Christian. He's alive. John. still alive. Shout out to Dukane. NFL. though this weekend. Massive matchups. across the board. What are you looking. for, >> D? I mean, big games obviously starting. with tomorrow, Seattle and Denver. Uh, number one, looking at those jerseys, sick jersey combos. But then the big. question marks around the Denver. Broncos. They were almost the AFC. representatives in the Super Bowl. Got. it to the AFC Championship and it's just. been struggle so far with that offense. The defense is going to be fine, but. Shawn Payeyton taking over play calling.
I'm sure AQ could talk to him more, but. it did not look great. Bo Nicks doesn't. look like himself. And then the Seattle. uh Seahawks, your new squad. I mean, are. they Some people were saying maybe one. hit wonders, maybe Sam Darnold, maybe. looking for answers there. So, uh. looking for a great start to the NFL. week. And we got other matchups. So, we. got Bills Raiders, we got Cowboys, Packers. Great matchups this week. >> Yeah, huge ball across the board. Every. game matters except for a couple teams. that are 0 and5. Uh you talk about this. past weekend being fantastic and kicking. off in a great way. We actually have the.
incredible honor to be announcing the. players of the week. Oh wow. >> Ladies and gentlemen, coming out of week. five of the NFL season, here are your. AFC and MC players of the week. Corusman, punter. What a stud. Congratulations down there for the. Bucks. Byron Murf. Oh yeah, course. Way. to go, Byron. Getting that. Jamir Gibbs, Stallion. I'm assuming he has a lot of. these. Greg Russo, there's some stats. coming out about him. Not only is he. blocking kicks, I guess his pressures, his sacks. He is. >> very dominant. He gets player of the.
week. David Bailey, Texas uh Tech. we. were just talking about rookie uh gets a. dominating performance as the Jets have. the same amount of wins as the Los. Angeles Rams right now. >> Wow. Something to think about. And then. Jaylen Warren of the Pittsburgh. Steelers. Couple chains on, great tattoo. and incredibly explosive whenever he. gets the rock. Congratulations to these. lads, our winning players of the week in. the locker room. That'll be celebrated. Joining us now is a man who's on the. call for Jaylen Warren and his. performance to win the AFC offensive. player of the week. His brother was also.
experiencing a birthday on that. particular game day and he was playing. against his daunted rival, the. Indianapolis Colts. He somehow remained. averely biased until the Steelers. continue to kick the Colts ass. Joining. us now, a man who's in the bull ring of. honor for the Houston Texans and now. he's also in the Houston Sports Hall of. Fame. >> Wow. >> Ladies and gentlemen, JJ. >> Wallage, >> how you doing? >> Hey guys, >> great. How are you guys doing? >> Good, man. We just broke down the entire. 2014 playoff. Then we bounced into the. NFL about what's about to come. Then we.
did the players of the week. Feels like. we've accomplished a lot in 17 minutes, but you joining us really puts a pep in. her step. Isn't that right, AQ? >> Absolutely. Couldn't wait to get him on. the show. Let's go JJ. >> How's the juice now that JJ's face is. kind of popped up on the screen? >> I mean, it's a game changer. And you. mentioned his face, but he also has a. sweet Pat Tilman shirt on right now. I. mean, it is kind of the uh. >> Wow. >> Yeah, J. I'm doing great. How are you. doing, Houston Sports Hall of Famer? Congratulations. That was last night, I.
believe. Well earned, welldeserved. >> I I I don't know where this burst of. energy, excitement, and love and passion. is coming from, but I'm loving it. You I. I I wasn't necessarily there when I. popped on. Now I'm there. And I hope. everybody watching this at home or on. the elliptical or on a treadmill is now. there with us because we're about to. take you on a magical little ride on. this Wednesday afternoon. Get it going, America. >> Yeah. Yeah, not just back international. and uh I I think how could you not be. juiced up whenever you're talking? >> Didn't know that. Love that. Let's go.
world. Hop on board. >> Yeah, whole world. If you can do a. couple different languages that you. speak so they can understand in their. native uh. >> no astronauts, let's go. >> Yeah, especially down here in Houston. I. I mean. >> beam that [ __ ] up right to NASA. >> Yeah, let's do that, man. We're having a. good Wednesday. >> Hell yeah. Last night you went into the. Houston Sports Hall of Fame. Did you. give a full speech? You guys looked. amazing. You and uh the bride and the. entire family celebrating down there.
How long did you know this was going to. be happening for? And what was it like. to get honored by a city that you have. called home and have done a lot for? Brother, >> thank you. I appreciate it. My wife. looked incredible. I'm very grateful to. have her on my arm to make us look good. as a family. So, that was a very big. plus. Um but it's a it's a big honor. I. mean, I it was with Billy Wagner, obviously phenomenal pitcher for the. Astros, Hall of Famer himself, and Brian. Ching, uh, who is a Dynamo legend. He. scored four goals in the first ever game. for the Dynamo, which is incredible.
Also had a phenomenal lay. He's. Hawaiian, and his mother was there and. made him a custom lay. So, that was. great. But a good event. So many great. people in the city of Houston. So many. memories here. And just a whole lot of. love for this incredible city and. everything they've done for me and my. family and the bond that we've formed. They surprised me uh with a bunch of the. kids that I've been able to meet over. the years from Peter Barry and Aaron. Barry um the who lost their parents my. very first year in Houston and I got to.
meet with them and they came out on. stage and Justin a little boy who had a. heart issue and Will they had all these. kids. It was it was pretty special man. It was a pretty special night. >> You were crying. Yeah. >> Yeah. I when when they brought the kids. out because like I've known these kids. since they were little little kids. And. so I've seen them literally grow up. throughout the course of my career. And. so when they all came out on stage and I. just kind of they put up the videos of. when I first met them and then I see. them on stage as grown-ups today and and. who they are, it Yeah. Yeah. It got me.
>> You're a good guy, J. >> Oh, yeah. >> You're. >> thanks for representing ball well. Thanks for representing the league well. And last night, I'm happy you got to. experience all of those emotions as you. walked down a path with the Houston. Texans when they were good at football, you know. But are they easy now? Easy. Are they? We're going to find out. Hey, hey, we got a chance now. Jaguars are a. very good football team. Head over to. London. We'll see what this game looks. like, but you get on a little bit of a. roll here. You never know. Got Marvin.
Harrison in the mix now. You don't know. >> How do you feel about the trade for. Marvin Harrison Jr.? He and CJ Strad did. a lot of magic together in college, hoping to replicate that with the. Texans. It feels like there's always. injuries to the offensive weapons for. the Houston Texans, so adding another. one probably good news at the the record. you guys had to make this trade I I. think was interesting. I I don't think. anybody really saw it happening. Your. thoughts actually on the trade. happening, especially with where the. Houston Texans are right now? >> Yeah, I mean, they've had injuries at.
the receiver position. they've been. banged up there and they've tried to. find it. Now, obviously Marvin hasn't. started his career the way that he. wanted to in Arizona and the hope and. the goal would be that you find that. magic once again and it's just a change. of scenery back with CJ, whatever it may. be that gets him to the level uh if you. get him to, you know, 60 70% of what you. expect from the number four overall. pick, you're sitting in a really good. spot. So, I agree with you on the record. and where you sit right now, but I think.
there's an opportunity there to really. do something special. It's they just. have to go on a run very very very. quickly and I hope that he turns into. the player that we all saw from Ohio. State and and expect him to be. >> Yeah, it it didn't get going in Arizona. at all. I I mean there wasn't really any. it didn't a lot of the. >> tape we seen coming out of training camp. was him not doing good yet again with. the floor and then he started getting. hot caught a couple touchdowns started. moving a little bit then he move on from. him I don't think the floor was ever.
attached to Marvin Harrison Jr. He made. that pretty evident. Hopefully, he finds. a home in Houston. Now, Houston is in a. tough division. Jacksonville Jaguars, to. your point, might be the best team in. all of ball. And then the Indianapolis. Colts, we're looking to find it. We've. got two wins in the last 12. Uh, one of. those 12 was against the Pittsburgh. Steelers on Sunday. Can you tell me. about being on the call for that game. and then watching the Pittsburgh. Steelers play what, their best ball that. they've played in decades, maybe in. Pittsburgh against the Colts?
>> Yeah. No, it was, you know, I was on the. call for this exact game last year and. you go into this game and you try and. look at it ahead of time and think to. yourself, okay, how does each team go. about finding a way to win? And there's. no question with the Indianapolis Colts, it all starts with Jonathan Taylor. Last. year, he was limited to 45 yards in this. game. This year, he was limited to. exactly 45 yards again. So, the. Pittsburgh Steelers very clearly. understood that we need to bottle up. Jonathan Taylor. Now, how did they do. it? A lot of the outside zone plays, it's all about setting an edge and.
building a wall. And they set a great. edge so that he couldn't get outside. And they built a wall inside to really. bottle him up. And he wasn't able to get. going. And if Jonathan Taylor's not able. to get going, then you can't really open. up that play action game too much. And. they don't have the downfield threat. without Alec Pierce right now to take. the top off of a defense and to give. Daniel Jones some of those deep in. cutters or those go balls. So that is a. tough combination. Without that and. without Jonathan Taylor having the type. of day that he's used to having, it's. always going to be difficult, especially. when the Pittsburgh Steelers offense is.
finally starting to find a bit of its. rhythm. And Jaylen Warren is the bellcow. that needs to lead that offense. I said. it all game long, pregame, during the. game, postgame. Jaylen Warren needs 20. plus touches every single game minimum. Make him your bellcow. Use him in a. similar way that the Colts use Jonathan. Taylor. Hand him the rock. he gets. better over the course of a game with. more touches. That is the man that needs. to carry that offense where they want to. go. >> According to source.
inside the building uh in training camp. during running back linebacker 101's I. guess is when a certain new coach to the. Pittsburgh Steelers fell in love with. Jaylen Warren. They said he will put his. face directly into a fan. Does not care. Absolute dog. Then you heard Aaron. Rogers talk about him in the postgame. He's like, "Best teammate. This guy is. the best teammate." And it makes me. wonder how come he hasn't been utilized. like this in years past. Because it did.
feel like for the even since Naji Harris. was on the Pittsburgh Steelers, which is. what, four years ago? Hammer D. How long. ago was that whenever we started falling. in love with Jaylen Warren, Tone? >> That was so I looked at tweets. It was. like 2023. 2020. Yeah, about 2023 was. when we started being like, "Hey, Jaylen. Warner, he's got a lot more touches.". >> Every time he touched the ball, he was. like fire. And and we know the Steelers. offense for a long time was just. punt. It was just it was shite for a long.
time, but their defense was keeping in. it. They didn't make a play late, and. they still had winning seasons. But. every time he touched the ball, it. looked like he was on a different level. than everybody else. Happy they're. weaponizing him and happy that Aaron. Rogers looks very young. when you talked. to him pregame uh for the uh you know. leadup to the game, what did it feel. like? Cuz after the game, the interview. he gave feels like he is the happiest, most free and very pumped about what. this Steelers team can be. >> I I got like Aaron's moving pretty well. You watch him out there and like he is.
he is moving around pretty well. He's. getting out of the pocket. He's actually. scrambling for some yards. It's against. Cleveland. He had the five sacks, which. obviously wasn't a good night. But if. you look at the totality of his film and. some of the movements that he's been. able to make this year, you can tell. that he is feeling pretty good. We. talked to him before the Patriots game. earlier this year, and he told us how. week one, prior to week one last year, he tweaked his back squatting. Uh, which. is there's that's funny in its own. right. Why is a 42-year-old, you know, quarterback squatting? But I I respect.
the hell out of it. But that's why he. didn't feel that good moving around last. year. and he said he feels a whole lot. better this year. And I think you can. tell. Also, they got the ball out of his. hands incredibly quickly this game. I'm. talking unbelievably quickly. A lot of. short, quick, efficient passes, screens, and things. Uh he loves Jeremy Bernard. Jeremy Bernard's doing a great job for. them. Would imagine that's only going to. continue because Aaron has a lot of. trust and faith in him. >> Yeah, the Steelers look great. They look.
vastly different than just a few weeks. back. AQ has the last question on this. game for you as we move on quickly as. the Colts. lost to the Pittsburgh Steelers this. weekend. >> Yeah, JJ, as you were preparing for this. game, right, was it as simple as just. switching out two offensive linemen on. the right side and all of a sudden this. offense found what they were looking for. to move forward? >> I mean, it certainly looks looks good. Now, there's been their bumps. There's. no question on the right side has had a. couple bumps in the road here, but. overall, he's continued to fight and get.
better throughout it. Hoffman's doing a. good job at the right guard spot. But. yeah, I mean it does look better. There's no, if you look at the totality. since they made that switch, it. absolutely does look better so far. And. you would imagine the young buck at. right tackle is only going to get. better. The more reps he gets, Mike. McCarthy talks about five linemen need. time to build that chemistry. You know. better than anybody, AQ. The more. chemistry and glue that they build. together, the m the better it'll be. >> Offensive coach too, Mike McCarthy is. making different decisions than they. would have made in the past. There was a.
field goal or go for it decision that. was made by Mike McCarthy that. completely changes that game as opposed. to what it could have been in the past. Not that Mike Tomlin wasn't a great. coach winning. All he did was win as a. head coach is a Super Bowl champion. I. do not want to discount but two very. different styles being implemented to. the Pittsburgh Steelers at this. >> on the Colts. I I love watching DeForest. Buckner play, man. I absolutely love. DeForest Buckner. He's the man. He was. great in our meetings this week. He told. us how he was literally talking to his. wife about retirement and he said to her.
one day, "I think I'm going to hang it. up." And then she talked to him about it. and he came out of it and uh just. decided to just attack rehab one day at. a time and see how it goes. And the guy. is playing fantastic football. >> Knock you buck, dude. >> Yeah. >> We are such a better football team when. he's playing. >> Get him out of there. >> when he's not playing. Like last year he. didn't play. He was hurt. >> Mhm. >> We're two and 10 in our last 12. >> Yeah. >> Okay. So you just you can know that is. the fact. I'm worried that Buckner is. just going to be on a team that's never.
going to win the AC South here in. Indianapolis. >> No, we're second place right now. >> You're right. Lot of season left. >> Lot of ball left. >> Where you guys up next? What you guys? >> We have the Titans, bro. Adam Benitary's. going into the Ring of Honor. Let's. Let's have a celebration this weekend. now. >> Can't. >> Yeah. >> Cannot. Under circumstances. >> Under no circumstances can you lose that. game. >> Kicker. Great. Great kicker. Had a big. day. Unbelievable. Spencer Shrader is so. good. We I've talked about him a couple. different times now this week because. it's a great story. Lil uh Blake Groupy.
came in for Spencer Shrader last year. when Spencer Shrader broke his entire. [ __ ] during the game. Spencer Trader was. perfect. We We found our guy. We found. our kicker. He's from Indiana. He grew. up a Colts fan. He's got a big leg. He's. a great kicker. And then he just breaks. his [ __ ] And I I I actually see him in. the locker room afterwards and it's like. he's got that full thing and it's like, man, this guy's never going to be able. to make it back. I'm worried that we're. going to get into a kicking carousel. We. bring in a little Blake Groupy out of. Notre Dame. This guy been around a. little bit, got injured. He was flawless. for us. Yeah, this guy was perfect for.
us. Spencer Shreder back in training. camp. Lil Blake Groupy back. They're. battling in training camp. Blake Groupy. making everything. Spencer Shreder still. trying to find his way, missing a. couple. Gets into games, makes his. kicks, and then I think the decision was. made like he got injured, can't lose. your spot because of injury. We have to. give him a go. He's continued to be. perfect. And now little Blake groupies. with the Rams. They got a great kicker. over there. So Shredder's been through. some [ __ ] here early too, JJ is what I'm. saying. It's not just really good. He's. had to battle. >> very It's very impressive. Very.
impressive. >> Now there was some game management. decisions uh around kicking that. happened this weekend. Uh and it wasn't. just kicking decisions, also what the. hell's going on decisions. Debbot has a. question for you. >> Change now been in the booth. You you. got to add obviously some context for. listeners in these situations. You got. two rookie head coaches, so you might. have some in this upcoming week. But. what's been your thoughts overall with. the league in these late game management. situation? We saw the Eagles, which is. more of a coverage thing in my opinion, but that Commanders, like what's your.
thoughts overall right now with the NFL. in these late game management. situations, >> I think that we're in like a bit of this. new world with analytics and everybody. being able to dissect everything on such. a deep level. Now, there's some game. management decisions that are obvious. no-brainers. We got one on the screen. right now that that's that just cannot. happen in any circumstance whatsoever. But there are some other ones where. people are loving to go on to the. internet the next morning or even the. night of and just pick apart things that.
yes, you can pick apart and you could. say that that might be the best. decision. But if it they did that and. went the other way, now all of a sudden. we're having a completely different. conversation. And the one I'll use as an. example is Monday night. You have Joe. Brady who decides to kick the field goal. there with two minutes left or whatever. it is and people on the internet are. saying, "Well, he should have ran the. clock down. Why wouldn't you run the. clock down in that situation?" Well, okay. So, let's say he goes to run the. clock down. James Cook's already fumbled. twice. You're not going to put it in his. hands. You're going to go with most. likely a quarterback sneak with Josh. Allen. Let's just say that somehow.
someway a ball gets kicked or something. happens and it fumbles and now the Rams. have the ball. All of a sudden, you're. the biggest idiot on the planet. But. everyone the next day if you don't do. that is going to say why wouldn't you. run off the extra clock like at some. point here it's damned if you do damned. if you don't. And yes there are certain. situations where there's no question the. numbers and everything else lines up but. there are just so many Monday morning. quarterbacks now that can literally make. an argument or find a decision for. everything as to why it was the wrong.
one. And it's just a weird place to be. in. Especially for somebody who's up in. the booth now trying to explain. everything every week to people. And I'm. sitting like I I put myself in my shoe. in those shoes for that game. If I'm in. the booth, do you want me to say he. should probably run some extra clock. down here or do you want me to be. excited this guy just won the game with. a field goal? Like it's a really weird. spot to be in as an announcer trying to. talk people through all the. possibilities without also bogging them. down with the minutia of it. >> Yeah. In the minutia, we have more. people that know it or think they know. it because there's more stats and.
analytics available to everybody. And. you know, there's obvious situations. that point out people that understand. the reality of football verse in theory. football on the internet. I I think we. all can see that, especially ballers can. see that. Now, they do have a large. community, especially whenever they come. together and make themselves feel as if. they're right. So, I don't think you. should ever try to, you know, fight. against that stuff, but we appreciate. you explaining the reality of Bull, JJ. Now, the reality, >> like this one was interesting. Like this. one to me was a more clear-cut one.
because I had just had that real game. The Ravens 7 seconds left, but they had. a timeout left. So when you kick it into. the end zone and they have a timeout. left, then it's completely different. Here you kick it in the end zone, 8. seconds is not enough time to do. anything with zero timeouts. So it's. that's that's a more cut clearcut one. It's just these ones where like do you. waste clock, do you not waste clock or. they did the I'm like, all right, some. of these like let's just let's just calm. down. Also, you don't realize like I. don't think anybody realizes what it's. like to be on the sideline like for the. coaches making those decisions in that. real time with the amount of people.
relaying information. It's. >> it's chaos down there. >> But they got. >> as you can see, >> got to get it right. >> Got to get it right. You got to get it. right. And if it works out for you, you're a genius. And if it doesn't, you. got a lot of people in theory on the. internet saying, "Well, theory is. reality, brother." And what you just did. is absolute [ __ ] That's why the. game's the best. >> And we got bigger audience than ever. And we got more different styles of. people coming in and uh those people. being combative about them knowing more. than people that played. Sick. I do. appreciate that. I like the energy. But.
if all these things work, it's a non. it's a non conversation. >> That's it. Yeah. If it works, you're a. genius. >> Which is which is sports as a whole. >> Yeah. It's fun. >> Did you see the frozen Gen Z frenzy last. night? Did you see that with hockey? >> No. Thought you were a hockey guy. I thought. you clapped. I saw you. >> Was that the Hall of Fame thing? You. just. I thought at least you'd have it out on. your phone while they were celebrating. you for the Hall of Fame down there in.
Houston. It was just the Frozen frenzy. turned into the frozen Gen Z frenzy. Yep. >> Goals by Gen Z, which is 14 to 29 year. olds. I don't think there's any 14, 15, 16, or 17 year olds in the NHL, but hey, maybe they did sneak one by the goalie, if you will. 71 of the 112 goals. yesterday. All 32 teams played 16. winners, 16 losers in storylines in. abundance, including it does feel like. it might be a little bit of a young. man's game. Don't get it twisted though. Sydney Crosby scores two goals. Brady. Kachchuck has three goals. Yeah. And an.
apple. Matthew Kachchuck has five. assists, three of them to his brother. I. mean, there was storylines and stars. out. Young league though, it feels like. So, good time to become massive fan of. hockey. Who's your team, Jage, in the. NHL? Uh, if they ever bring a team to. Houston, that'll be it. I I've I've said. this many times before. I grew up in. Wisconsin. I didn't know what a fair. weather fan was. I started with the. Chicago Blackhawks. I went to the Red. Wings. Um, was a Chris Chelios guy. So, um, big big fan, but I don't have a like.
team that I follow. Love the NHL, love. hockey, played it all growing up. One of. the best sports of all time. do think. that uh we can help ourselves a little. bit marketing wise that the guys would. uh give a little personality but that. also makes them who they are and that's. the beauty of it. So I think that. there's some real absolute stars. Obviously Crosby is one of the greatest. in the history of the game. >> Bingo. >> Love hockey. >> Okay. There is talk bigger. >> There is talks of Houston expansion I. believe cuz uh what are you fourth.
largest city fifth largest city in. America? What is Houston? >> Fourth fourth. >> fourth largest city in America. A lot of. sports fans. I mean, you just talked. about Houston Dynamo. I forgot they were. a team. One of the oldest MLS teams in. the in the entire league, which. obviously. >> Comets are coming back in the WNBA. We. got the Comets coming back. >> Hell yeah. >> Okay, nice. So, Houston, big city. I. would like an NHL team in Indianapolis. personally, but uh I think Indianapolis. would be able to what? >> What? >> I didn't say anything. >> Wayo got his start here.
>> This where Wayne Gretzky first played. professional hockey. >> and Moose. >> Yeah. And Mark Messier. You ever heard. of him? >> I mean, we had Gordy How down here at. the Aeros. >> What? He just did like the Harlem Gloss. tour down there. What? Wayne started. here. >> Okay. You ever heard of Wayne? >> He did not start there. He did not start. there. He started professionally there. He He started on a pond. He started in. the backyard. >> Okay. Yeah. Obviously at the Gretzky. household is where You don't want to go. back to the beginning? Thank you, Mrs.
Gretzky. That's where it started. Okay. That's where it start. And you want to. go way back to the beginning. Thank you. to Mr. Gretzky, I guess, for sending him. in there. Now, on that note, he got his. professional start right here in. Indianapolis. Uh, the NHL is looking to. start the expansion process in Texas. with Austin and Houston as potential. targets. Emily Kaplan told us uh on uh. Tuesday on a Tuesday. Let's get back to. the NFL chatter. Big one on Monday. night. I was lucky to be there. Go.
ahead, Ty. >> Yeah, Jay, incredible game. arguably. maybe the game of the season so far, especially with some of the duds we've. had on Mondays. Uh looking at that and a. big talking point postgame and you know. kind of early in this week like do you. think the Bills can sustain what Josh. Allen is doing? Like can they win a. Super Bowl kind of just putting. everything on his shoulders and saying. hey listen we need you to kind of go out. there and be Superman week in and week. out. Can't really make mistakes. defense. isn't the best, although they weren't. terrible, but like is this a sustainable.
way for a team to win a Super Bowl? >> I mean, when he plays at that level, absolutely. It's it's the it's able to. play at that level for a very long time. and take the beating, which obviously. he's done for the majority of his. career, so there's no reason not to. I. do think the defense needs to play. better. They know that. Jim Leonard. himself said it. He had one of my. favorite quotes this week where I. believe he said, "Uh, it's always great. to have Superman as your quarterback, but we don't want to wait until it's our. turn to save the day on defense." Um, they they do need to play a little bit. better on defense, obviously. But there.
was there was some crazy stat where like. the when the Bills give up over 35. points, they're like 8-0 and everybody. else in history is like and 132 or. something. And that's just what Josh. Allen does. like he we have all the. superlatives and everything and people. are like, "Oh, we" But he is he's. unbelievable. And when he puts it on his. back and has 121 rushing yards like he. only threw the ball 19 times. It was he. he literally was just running over. people and he doesn't slide. He just.
directly through defenders downfield. It's it's impressive to watch and I'm. looking forward to seeing this weekend. against the Raiders to see what they can. do. >> How many times you get to play against. Josh Allen? >> I don't know the number. I know we uh we. had we had a few good battles in the. playoff one in Houston where we were. able to come back uh got a nice sack to. to spark that one. That was fun. He's a. hell of a player, man. He's a hell of a. player. >> Sorry. All I really remember was when I. changed the entire game and we went to. the playoffs against him. Yeah. Great. guy. Great guy. Maybe he'll be maybe.
he'll be in the Houston Ring of Honor. someday. Maybe maybe that'll work out. for him. But we did think we we talked. mightily about having to face him. >> like he can shake your ass. He got Lamb. Man on. Not that Layman didn't get a. couple on his side. He's a phenomenal. football player. It's fun to watch. Layman and he's hitting his head off of. helmets before the game. He is. everything you want him to be as a. linebacker, but like Josh Allen can. shake the [ __ ] out of you. He's faster. than he can jump over you and then he. will choose to bull rush you as well. On. the defensive side, in a matter of. seconds, you have to make all those. decisions and then he's back up. We're.
running hurry up. He's coming right back. at you again. Joe Brady will run the. same [ __ ] 50 times straight if he thinks. that it's working. feels like a natural. uh relationship between Joe and Josh, but the system quarterback convo we were. having before we got on air. Uh, can it. win the Super Bowl? Can backyard. football players win the Super Bowl at. the quarterback position? Yesterday, we. got into it a little bit before the. show. We got into it. >> It's not that much backyard football. I. mean, they have James Cook. Like, yes, he's got fumbling issues right now, but.
James Cook is a dominant running back. Like, this this offense is not 100%. squarely on Josh. The fumbles are a. problem, but James Cook is phenomenal. >> Agreed. Completely. But he is a backyard. freestyle football player. So, we. wondered, can you win a Super Bowl like. that? Can you win a Super Bowl? So, we. started thinking about it. Well, I guess. Momes would be considered at times. backyard football player. He won a few. But whenever you think about system. quarterback, you think Tom Brady, he's. running the system. Payton, he's running. the system. Eli, he's running the.
system. It's Drew Brees, he's in the. system. You think about like when people. talk about Caleb Williams, they're like. the Chicago Bears will be good if Caleb. plays within Ben Johnson's system. Jaylen Herz in the system was playing. Although he could extend plays, he. wasn't like a freestyler. Like Josh. Allen is a I think there is a system. there. He's obviously a play call, but. he's a freestyle type quarterback. It's. very apparent and he could take over at. any given moment. Patrick Mahomes, I. think, is maybe the the most successful. considered that style Yeah. of.
quarterback. But but when you look at. it, I mean, he is playing for Andy Reid, who's going to go down probably one of. the best play callers ever. So, he does. play within the system, but it's just. it's certain times where he does improv. He'll extend the play. He'll get out. Um, so yeah, he would, but obviously he. would be the guy. He's the greatest of. his generation, but I wouldn't. necessarily I don't think people would. call him a system quarterback, but he's. played within that system, then that's. what you want. Ideally, you want a. quarterback that plays within a system, whatever system that is, and then it'll. be a handful of plays where they have to.
be special and they have to do something. outside of the box. But what people say. like you don't want him, you know, he. only threw the ball 19 times, but he. dropped back to throw it maybe around 30. and he just tucked it and ran it. And. that's that's a nightmare for a defense. to start with JJ Watts up front. They. got to have, you know, discipline rush. lane so they can't really pin their ears. back. And then for us, we could be. perfect coverage, perfect drop, and then. he just takes off against 25. So, it's. tough. You definitely want a a. quarterback that can do both. But I. think ideally systems with great players. win championships.
>> It blew my mind that entire night as we. watched that game that they never put a. spy on them. Like that that blew my mind. and I know it puts the DBs right at a at. a at a disadvantage. I get that. But. like and again like Landman was kind of. in position a couple times so I'm not. even sure that would have worked but at. least put somebody in there to kind of. spy. They just rushed four. And the. problem is, and JJ, you know this right, with with Aaron Donald, the way he. rushes, he just kind of can do his own. thing. He can take the inside rush and. you kind of have to read off of him. And. there was numerous times where he takes. the inside rush. The nose loops around. Josh goes left, right, between him and.
then out the gate. >> And he he can do and I think you have to. have a lot of trust. Sorry, last thing. on this entire combo before I let you, J, um, uh, give your explanation, which. I think is going to probably rewrite how. this conversation has gone into. Thunderdome. So, I appreciate that. But. I think everybody uh that has success in. this style has an incredibly high. football IQ. Like Patrick Mahomes, his. extension of plays, when he does, he. knows when and where and how to do it. Russell Wilson when he was with the. Seahawks, I I think you would consider. him as a potential freestyle because. what he was able to do with his legs.
whenever plays break down was. outrageous. They still had that system. though where he was dropping dots. Josh. Allen, he has to be making full game. decisions every single play on what he's. doing. And then he's taken like 30 hits. every single time as well, which I think. everybody's scared of. Go ahead, Jade. Sorry about that cutting you off. >> Yeah. No, no, you're good. So, I I think. this is all brilliant conversation. And. I think that part of the thing that you. have to do as a defensive guy, we we'll. get into this obviously in depth on. Sunday during the game when we have them. against the Raiders, but is how do you. try and stop this most efficiently? And.
obviously, not many people have had. success. And I think one of the most. obvious things for a fan to say is the. spy thing. And I think you're you're. absolutely right in that AQ and that why. wouldn't you just put somebody over the. ball spying Josh Allen and say, "Hey, you're responsible for him." Well, the. problem with that is is when you're. going to spy somebody, you have to stand. a couple yards behind the defensive. line, obviously so that you can see him, but then also if he goes left or right, you have to be able to go either way. Well, the problem with that is is once. Josh Allen decides he's going to. scramble and get going, he's got a head. of steam. He's coming directly at you.
and you're basically flatfoot at that. moment trying to make a decision on. which way he's going to go and he has. the whole field to use once he breaks. through that line. So, it's extremely. difficult to make an open field tackle. on Josh Allen while he knows where he's. going and you don't and he has all that. space. So, you're in my opinion almost. wasting a defender by putting a spy on. him because it's so hard to tackle him. So, what I think is the best way to do. it, which is extremely difficult, and. you have to have a very good defensive. line, is a four-man rush, kind of like. we talked about with the Rams, but that.
fourman rush has to fully and completely. understand that they are responsible for. Josh. And you do have to rush completely. differently when that is the case. because you need the guys in coverage. because he's too good of a quarterback. and he will pick you apart on the back. end if you don't. So, you drop your. seven, you have your four guys rush, and. you communicate. You four are. responsible for that one man. You can't. let him around the edges. You can't let. him up the B gaps. You either have to do. bull rushes. You have to run games. But. no matter what, we are disciplined. We.
are rushing to the level of the. quarterback and we are coming back down. Much much easier said than done. But. that's what you have to do and how. disciplined you have to be to beat a guy. like that. >> It's fun to watch. >> Yeah, it is so much fun. And we've said. this about Lamar with how electrifying. he is. If this was to be able to get to. the Super Bowl, like if Lamar was able. to get to the Super Bowl or Josh Allen. was able to get to the Super Bowl, there's somebody in some country. watching football for the first time. that it's just like, what is this thing. here? He could take over the game at any. time and nobody knows it. It's almost.
like the way they're talking about Be's. defense where Be doesn't even know what. coverage the secondary is going because. the secondary is deciding that in real. time. It's like Josh Allen's deciding in. real time what every single play is and. now he can spin it just as good as. anybody else. Fun. >> That's al That's also kind of difference. too once you get into the playoff part. because right now we're in this, you. know, it's week we get in there. Wednesday, you got a whole new game plan. for Once you get in the playoffs and you. get these great coaches, probably the. best coaches in the league, and they. have an actual like a plan. Okay, this.
is a Josh Allen or Lamar Jackson plan. and going into Buffalo with their lineup. who's healthy the wide receivers that's. probably the weakness of that offense. So look, Keon Coleman, DJ, like these. guys got to beat me. We got to figure. out how to stop, how are we going to. have eyes and it may be just situation, may just be third down, third and. medium, maybe red area, but these are. the particular plays we're going to take. 17 away and we got to make and that's. why I think over time you always see. like systems win and players within. those system because they have answers. for so many different things. I think. teams that are used to playing him, just.
like when Lamar was playing the NFC, teams that are used to playing him, I. think have a much better shot at him, like the Patriots just beat the Bills. two weeks ago. >> Yes. Give them prop like people that are. you Yeah. to Lamar. Exactly. If you're. used to playing them, I think you take. all your wounds in your lumps because on. film it can look one way and then in. real life. >> Yeah. Right. So, I I think division. games always going to be tough for. backyard style football players because. they're used to it. But once you get. into the playoffs and you got a lot of. teams that haven't played you before, there's a chance you can go. But there's.
also a chance that a Dcoordinator says. what JJ said, "Listen, >> yeah, >> you four, you're four number ones, okay? You guys need to make sure this guy, this freak doesn't beat us." And in in. the big games in the playoffs, much more. difficult competition, which is why the. conversation is, can you win with this. though? You know who thinks they can? AQ. Shipley. AQ's big takeaway is he's all. in on Allen J. That's a take away. Is. that because he makes the offensive. line's job a lot easier or why do you. why are you all in on Allen?
>> Well, I think part of it was what JJ. just talked about. Whenever you rush. four, you have to have rush lane. integrity. But the problem is and like. JJ said, "Okay, cool. We got a bull. rush." But there's a couple clips like. even this one right here where Josiah. Stewart, right? He's coming off the edge. bull rushing Deion Duck. Doesn't matter. He still is able to escape and run for. 10. There's numerous plays where Aaron. Donald swims inside. You get the nose. looping around. Oh, we think the nose is. going to come free. He shifts left, shifts right. Land man's going to make a. play. Nope. Can't happen. Right. So, I. think there's so many things. And then. also at the end of the game when he. decides to take a peek out to the left,
they call a run play that's going to get. handed off to the right. He sees a peak. out to the left that oh, they're in man. coverage. Nope. I'm just going to pull. this and boot around. He can take over. the game at any moment. And then, oh, by. the way, you don't need to tush push. If. you get in third and short or if you get. in goal line, he's always going to get. you the first down, whether it's over. the top or whether it's falling forward. But that play right there was. unbelievable. He takes a peak pre- snap, sees it. Aaron Don comes scot-f free up. the B gap and he's just too fast to. outrun him to the corner. >> Yeah, Josh Allen AQ Shaw in on Allen.
Can he stay healthy? He's always going. to be banged up. >> Bold take there. Bold take. >> Well, I think uh I think far too well. there was somebody this week that said, "Well, Josh Allen's got to do something. different.". >> Well, Swagoo thinks they're not going to. survive. Marty, that was like Swagoo's. opening line. I I did not expect it to. be the opening line, but as he was. talking, I'm like, man, we don't really. talk about that with Josh Allen ever. >> He's never been hurt, has he? >> Uh, >> yeah. Yeah, it was a couple seasons ago. where he kind of second half of the. season, >> broke a finger, but did he he didn't.
miss games? >> I mean, he always has like a couple of. those little things throughout the year, but never actually misses anything. >> He's banged up always. Like, what's he. got? Uh, >> he's got like five broken fingers. >> His whole his ankle hurts. >> And it's just kind of like expected. So, it's like whenever the games matter the. most and he's super banged up. I think. Swaggley's question was a good one. Like, can he win a sup can Josh Allen. win a Super Bowl? >> That's the only conversation for the. rest of his career. Him, Lamar, Joe. Burrow, like you know, we we expect him. to be MVP candidates,
>> Daniel Jones. >> Sure. >> Sure. I mean, he's on the uh watch list. right now. But those guys once the. conversation comes up about him, that's. all that matters. Can they win the Super. cuz Josh Allen has all the playoff wins. records and all the quarterback stats. without a Super Bowl and you never want. to be on that list. So that will be the. question and yeah I feel like for me. once I saw kind of Cam Newton's body. breakdown it's like okay no no. quarterback. >> Is that list just quarterbacks? I'm. sorry Jir is on there. You know it's.
quarterback award JJ. You know where. >> Ken Walker? >> Yeah not on there. Mahomes. >> where is Ken Walker? >> So Mahomes is plus 650. I I think what. they're saying is if the Chiefs remain. good, Patrick Mahomes is going to get. that. Running back's not going to get. that. And I I would like to say I'm a. Mahomes supporter. I would assume. Patrick Mahomes will come out very. loudly for Kenneth Walker down the. stretch on how much he has done for. their team this year. But you're right, he's changed them completely. J. >> Yeah. I mean, I get it like odds and and. how it's going to shake out by the end.
of the season, everything, but you want. to talk about like this is this is gets. into the whole debate of most valuable. player versus best player, etc. Yeah, you're entire gimmick. That's your. gimmick, actually. >> But but I mean, but what Ken Walker has. done this year and the way that he's. helped transform that offense is. spectacular. For him to not even be on. that list, if that's if that list truly. goes up to plus 5,000 and then you you. added your guy at the end there. >> No. So Kenneth Walker's plus 5,500. I. don't know how he didn't make this list. There's also numerous other people.
seemingly between plus 5,000 and Daniel. Jones there. >> I don't know how they got left off. >> Is Daniel Jones still at plus 15,000? Uh, it might be worse. Let's check it. Let's scroll down here. >> 500 plus 20,000. He's actually plus. 20,000. Get an update on that. But yeah, he's in there. He There are odds for. Kenneth Walker to win the MVP. I mean, we just want to let you know what Daniel. Jones is in case you want to go ahead. and sprinkle down. >> Oh, Jordan Love plus 1500. >> Jordan Love has his best football game. Brock Py was odds on favorite to win the.
MVP going into Monday night. Uh we wake. up on Tuesday, Josh Allen now the odds. on favorite to be the MVP. These are. very fluid odds as the season continues. A lot of football left. We talked about. Josh Allen, Lamar Jackson, Joe Burrow. All anybody wants Daniel Jones. All. anybody wants to know is can he win a. Super Bowl or not? Can you win a Super. Bowl or not? There's a quarterback that. none of us expect to win a Super Bowl. who is a Super Bowl champion who had a. phenomenal battle with the NFC West this. weekend. Go ahead, Connor. >> Yeah, J 49er Seahawks. kind of had the.
late game steal the show type of. situation with the 32-229 victory the. 49ers got in Seattle. Were you able to. see any of that game? Did you see the. ending? A lot of us kind of confused. We. thought the ball could go out of bounds. to where it lands. Instead, Cooper Cup. ball goes out right before the first. down line and then it ends up being out. of bounds. Kind of a weird situation. What did you think about this game, this. division seemingly being the best in all. the NFL? the reason the Rams are just. two and three with a super team. What. are kind of your thoughts with this?
>> Yes, I I thankfully was able to watch. this on the flight home from Pittsburgh. Uh shout out Starlink. That was. fantastic. Um. >> the ending was insane. I mean, all of. it, just everything that went on with. this game, especially the fourth. quarter. This the NFC West is such a. blast to watch because of the minds that. they have in that because of the players. that they have and the battles that they. go through. the this specific play. So, this is interesting because obviously. before the season, we have all these. conversations about what the ref can. have, what they don't have, what angles.
we have, what we don't. During the. season, I watch the officiating videos. every week, so I know exactly what's. going on at all times. Before the. season, they told us this thing, which. was interesting to me, that on punts, when the punt crosses out of bounds, the. officials actually have a thing on their. watch where they can tell exactly where. it went out of bounds based off of, I. don't know, the chipping in the ball, crossing the line. I I think it has to. be completely clear, no obstructions. with the players, etc. So, that's why it. works on a punt and I'm assuming not on. this situation. But I do feel just like.
I'm sure everybody else does that at. some point, even if we can't get in the. middle of the field with quarterback. sneaks. The sidelines, there has to be. some way, shape, or form that we can use. the Hawkeye technology from tennis. And. baseball's telling me exactly the spin. rate and what pitch a guy's throwing the. second it happens. There's got to be. some way that we can get where this ball. went crossed out of bounds when he was. diving because. >> Jade, you knew that. Jade, you knew. that? I felt so stupid. I I thought the. line extended forever like a touchdown.
I I did not know and I I I am very open. about me not knowing stuff and when I. learn stuff I adjust accordingly. I. think you have to do that in daily. sports talk. I think that is uh just a. lifestyle. You should do that. Once you. learn things you should change. I did. not know that it was where the ball goes. out of bounds over the line because when. you make a catch and your feet are in. bounds Yeah. and the ball's out of. bounds. It's I I don't I didn't know. that. >> This has been a big discussion all week. because they're like, "Well, what if.
you're running down the sideline and the. ball crosses over, but your feet are in. bounds?" That's fine. I I'm not going to. sit here and pretend like I know the. reasoning behind it all. But I do know. that when you're diving out of bounds, you do have to try and get it across. before I don't I don't fully understand. the differences between each of them, but yeah, it's it's pretty crazy. >> I didn't know that. Like as it was. happening, I was watching it and I'm. like, he clearly got his feet are in. Let's what are we even moving along? They're like. >> cuz there's other things where the the. first down line does extend all the way.
to the end. So like a uh intentional. grounding if a quarterback gets outside. the pocket and he throws it away. The my. understanding is that the line does. extend all the way. So as long as he. gets it past that first down marker, even if it's behind the bench, he's. fine. There are clearly times where the. line extends and the line doesn't. That's a Jean territory. That's why I. got a little button. All I got to do is, "Hey, Jean, what's the rule here?" And. then it's out of my head. >> I wish I could do that with Jean's. territory with my life. Just everything.
You know what I mean? >> Hey Jean, I got a question about this uh. landscaping I got going. Jean will have. an answer, you know? Hey, >> I do it with I do it with football games. all the time. Any game on a like a. Thursday night or a Monday night, I'll. just text Jean just like I'm in the. booth and be like, "Jeen, what was. that?" And he'll he's awesome. Text me. right back. I haven't tried other points. of life. I should. Are we allowed to. >> Should I go with the canoli or should I. go with the chocolate chip cookie? Which. one? >> Canoli. You know the answer there. You. know the answer. >> I'm not I'm not a big canoli guy. I'm.
sorry. >> Me neither. But you're asking Jean Ster. You're asking You're asking Jean Ster. for his response. >> Oh, he's going to say canoli. >> Definitely. Yeah. Hey, should I do. gobble ghoul or should I do baloney? You. know, he's going to say gobble ghoul. every time. Even if he would like. baloney because he feels obligated to do. it. >> He's a Pittsburgh guy. He said he wished. he was in town cuz he was going to make. me some family recipes. He wasn't there. this past weekend. I would I would love. to see what the Ster family's tossing on. the table. >> Jean Ster is a Western Pennsylvania pa. legend icon. I'm a huge fan of his. We.
love Jean Ster. We like that he loves. refing too. I believe his brother ref. comes from a family of refs. Coach. basketball, coach football or ref. basketball, ref, whatever you need him. to do. And I like how calm and confident. he always was when he had that one shot. He uh sounded like he knew what the hell. he was talking about as opposed to some. of those. it uh we think it's uh what number is. it? Take the one shot off me please. Please please please leave the. microphone on. Who is it on?
Who is it on? Can't have it. Just can't. have you bumbling fumbling around like. that. Did we notice any difference. between the way the coaches and players. are talking to the refs this weekend? >> No. No, not really. >> We shouldn't. didn't see any situations. at least no flags. >> because I was worried about we were all. worried very worried about we were all. very worried about that with the whole. rabble thing. >> then the whole. >> betray me. >> the Aaron Glenn thing was phenomenal. with the dude that was the best. >> hey you know you was wrong I got.
something for you. >> hey they same amount of wins as the Los. Angeles Rams New York Jets Jets fans. aren't going to see it like that they. still see themselves as under 500 and. you know we need to rebuild but what. Aaron Glenn is sticking to it over there. and he's still himself. It feels like. remember we've seen some coaches who had. great mocks that go in the New York Jets. facility and lose their souls. >> Yeah. >> Completely. Just this is not who this. person was whenever he got here. Aaron. Glenn's still, you know, >> he's still everything that Aaron Glenn. was when he was at Detroit. Will the. team continue to win? We shall see. Good.
for them. Hey, J. Who wins the Super. Bowl? Here it is. Watt, Wednesday, October 14th, 2026. JJ Watt thinks that. the. >> What are What are you doing to me here, Pat? What What do you want me to do. here? I'm I'm a comment here. Now, now. you're going to set me up for the rest. of the season. Everybody's going to say, "I just said Wednesday. >> Wednesday, October 14th, 2026. This will. change Wednesday, October. >> You got to beat. >> You got to beat the champs to beat the. champs. Go with the Seahawks.".
>> All right. I like that. Hey, I. appreciate it. >> Good value right now. >> Yeah, get in on that. >> It's not bad value. plus 1100. >> Follow my advice on anything besides. food. >> Okay. What should we have for dinner or. night? >> You should have a good quality homemade. cheeseburgers. >> Really? >> Homemade cheeseburg sounds like a really. nice knife for a cheeseburger. It needs. to be a soft bun. Um but you need to get. it on a little butter. Toss it on the. grill. Get a tiny bit of char on there. so it softens up a tiny crunch with it.
Have your own toppings. whatever you. like on top, but I need a nice 80/20. lean ground meat. Get that sucker nice. and tight. Get the grill hot. Toppings. >> Do you. >> I'm My dad's a smash burger guy. I'm. more of like a traditional burger guy. My dad makes the best smash burgers. ever. I love a good smash burger, but. they do leave you feeling a little. fatty, a little. >> oily. Um, I like a traditional.
>> You putting. >> a little more of like a kind of a Five. Guys type, I would say. >> Okay. We got cheese on both sides of the. burger. One burger. How many burgers? >> No, just uh I do one thicker burger, piece of cheese on top, and then you got. your toppings in your bun. And I'll do. at least two of those. >> Well, I do two all beef patty, special. sauce, sliced cheese. >> Sure. >> Okay. But some like a Hind 57 French. fried potatoes. Big kosher picker and a. cold damn beer. Now, good God almighty.
What do we have here? What do you put on. top of your burger? >> I put on top of my burger uh ketchup, mustard, onion, tomato, and then. no, I leave lettuce off. I don't mess. with lettuce cuz I don't like shredded. lettuce. I don't want shredded lettuce. I don't like shredded lettuce. And I. also don't want the one piece of lettuce. that when I bite it and then it flops. out on my I don't need that. >> The dragon don't need that. >> Yeah. See, I take the lettuce is gone. >> I take the tomato off because of what. you just said. I don't like the thing. coming all over me. I don't think it.
tastes good enough. I got the ketchup. here. Hines Hines ketchup on here to get. rid of that tomato. Chilled shredded. lettuce though. You're saying no to. Wow. >> Holy. >> I don't like to shred it. I don't like. to shred it because it does the same. thing. >> Oh, dude. You got. >> You got the ketchup on there. Okay. Then. you. >> Are you a mayonnaise guy? Are you a. fancy sauce guy? >> That's what was right here. Yeah. >> That's mayonnaise on top there. Then. guess what you do? We go add uh little. cube onion, diced onions on there, just.
like the quarter pounder with cheese at. McDonald's. Then as you have a little. bit of mayo and ketchup peeking up. through those little diced onions or. chopped onions, then you go ahead and. put that shredded lettuce cuz now it's. sticking to the stuff. Okay, now you got. it. Then you go ahead and put jalapeno. chips right on top of that thing. Then. you put your your bun on there. And then. you and then we're having a good time. We got a good texture in there with the. chip. We got a nice chill shredded. lettuce. Obviously the ketchup and. mayonnaise are defined. And then the. onion adds a little flavor. And then. that meat's going to hit your mouth like.
a freight train. >> You went with a grownup fifth grader. meal there. The chips, the jalapeno. chips is an elevated version of a middle. school meal with like the ham and cheese. where you toss the ruffles right on top. >> I asked you, listen, I will take a bag. of Fritos and I will put salsa and. cheese in there if we want to do middle. school meals, especially taco. >> Yeah, if we need to do that, I will do. middle school meals. And I had Cinnamon. Toast Crunch last night. >> Can we say this? Maybe this is a Maybe.
this is a hot take. Uh, don't like. Fritos. >> The Chili Twist Fritos. The chili twist. The hot chili twist. >> Phenomenal. >> Don't like a regular Frito. >> Are you a chip guy or not a chip guy? Cuz I really only like chips on. sandwiches and on burgers. Not really. reaching for chips in the dayto day. >> Um, no. I mean, I don't reach for them. in the day-to-day, but I am specific. about them. I'm a big shout out to. Canada. All dressed. Have you ever had.
an all-dressed chip? >> Where's it from? Canada. >> No. >> Um, they also have ketchup chips up. there, which I actually shockingly am a. fan of. It's weird. >> But I do love a traditional standard. ruffle dipped into a French onion dip. Deans, >> that's a traditional staple with hot ham. and rolls up in Wisconsin. Um, and then. obviously kettle cooked is when you get. that crunch. You get one of those that's. doubled. You get two two in one and it's. like like this and you.
>> Yeah. >> Yeah. I like that. >> Cape cod chips. All right. Well, I can't. wait to have that. >> Like a sea salt and vinegar. I like a. salt and vinegar. That's a new. >> vinegar. Yep. >> I'll have I will have a sea salt and. vinegar if I see it. Don't see it often. You know what I'm into right now. >> What's your flavor? What's your top. flavor? >> Uh jalapeno. I like jalapeno. >> Jalapeno is great. That's a tough find. Are you like a Miss Vicky's? I like a. Miss Vicky's jalapeno. >> Mango. That is the I think that's the. winner. And let's go over to like candy. as we have 40 seconds left here before. heart out. I am on a Snickers run right. now like you've never seen before. Oh.
yeah, I'm. >> still bringing it. >> If I see it, it's gone. I mean, some of. these planes we get on, they got six of. them. That's the task. That's the task. We got an hourong flight. I don't know. how I'm going to make them all. disappear. I do it. Yep. >> I used to be with Reese's. Now it's. Snickers. This is my first time ever. experiencing the Snickers run. I'm. hungry. I'm grabbing one. >> Why wait? >> I'm not hungry. >> Snickers is a a downhill duo run play. That is a call it and haul it standard. right up the alley. >> That's right. So are you, brother. Every.
time you show up, it's magic. We. appreciate you. It's JJ Watt. We're back. on the other side. Be a friend. Tell a. friend something nice. >> Oh, we muted. Neut. >> This has become something that's. spectacular. It started as proof that. kicking is not easy. This is a real. pressure moment every single week that I. have been waiting for all off season. And our first contestant is a man named. >> Bruce Mel. Bruce,
>> big. Bruce. >> Home Depot has said they will match. anything that I put on. >> for you for the rest of the season. >> All year. >> Yeah. Usually, usually companies don't. do. >> like blank checks. Home Depot said we. will match anything you say. So, on that. note, >> wow. >> 500,000 from me, 500,000 from Home. Depot, $1 million. to start the season. Bruce, >> shout out Home Depot. >> Shout out Bruce. Now, Bruce,
>> Bruce, look around at your people here. Bruce. >> Bruce, they would all love to see you. take home one million dollars this. morning. Hey, just uh just so we can up. the energy so it feels like Death Valley. a little bit. Can we get a uh. >> I thought we said we weren't going to. say that on TV there. Sandbag. >> 1 million.
>> Hold on. Hold on. >> We got to It's week one. >> Yeah, >> it's week one. Home Depot. >> It's week one. You got. >> All right, Bruce. >> We can't set precedent that like if you. stink it goes up. So, it's not going to. go up. But what I will say is $250,000.
from me, 250,000 from Home Depot. This. is your last effort. $500,000. Bruce, >> how do you make it go end over end? >> I don't think now's the time to learn. that. >> I don't know. Explode. Explode through. it. Explode through it. >> Hold on, Bruce. Hold on, Bruce. >> Uh, >> let's take a talk, Bruce. Let's take a. minute. Stanford. Steve, do you think. this guy has a chance to make this or. no? Steve, >> I do.
>> You find people that have been waiting. through a lightning storm. Do you think. Bruce is going to be able to make this. or No, >> they have more faith than I do. 1. million bucks back on the line. Bruce, 500,000 from me. 500,000 from Home. Depot. Good. Bruce, coast is clear for the. first week. Home Depot. I appreciate you. so much jumping on board. Bruce, great. effort, brother. I appreciate you.
signing up to do that. Reese, no money. to anybody. >> There you go. Good job. >> The following program is a collection of. students talking about happenings in the. sports world. It is meant to be comedic, informative. The opinions expressed on. this show do not necessarily reflect the. beliefs of their peers, their boss, or. ESPN. There may be some cuss words. because that's how humans in the real. world talk. If you are a young, please.
seek permission before watching any. further. >> Hey, let's go. >> This show sticks and the fact that you. listen, we are very, very thankful for. >> McAfee on the line with a gorgeous. assist. >> The alltime leading tackler for the. Green Bay Packers. You can. Damn it. Be a friend. Tell a friend. something nice could change their life.
>> Hello. beautiful people. Welcome back to our. humble event, the DraftKings Thunderdome. on this Watt Wednesday, October 14th, 2026. Hour two of the program begins. now. >> Football is magical. It felt like there. was a couple different start times, but. that's cuz we like to keep him guessing. Now, 12-year NFL veteran Super Bowl. champion AQ Shipley is here. Good to see. you, AQ. >> In the first hour, his AQ takeaway is.
that he's all in on Allen playing. however Josh Allen wants to play. The. big question is, can his body and his. style uh survive and play in a Super. Bowl to win it? That's what all. anybody's going to ask for the rest of. time until Josh does it. Just like they. do with Lamar, just like they're going. to do with Joey Burrow and the. Cincinnati Bengals with how they've. operated and just like how they're gonna. do with Daniel Jones and the. Indianapolis Colts. Now CJ Stout also. gonna get questioned like that until he. does it. If he does it, it's tough to. win a Super Bowl and if you're a. quarterback that doesn't, you're forever.
judged by it. You can still make the. Hall of Fame. Shout out Dan Marino. >> Yeah, Yins are legend. But it's held. over his head just like Philip Rivers. held over his head. Philip Rivers is a. starting quarterback in the NFL for a. hundred years. Has so many records. Has. so many good times. can't tell the story. of football without Phil Rivers. And. then you get somebody who just says, "Yeah, cool.". >> All right, dude. Always Bullseye win. It's all anybody cares about. >> Josh and Lamar, it's going to be the uh. topic of conversation for them until. they retire or.
>> until they win multiple. >> Josh Allen might go and win six Super. Bowls. >> Lamar Jackson might win 10 Super Bowls. We have no idea what's going to happen, especially this NFL season. Although it. does feel like there has been some great. that have separated themselves. Anything. can happen. I hope it doesn't. But all. you are is one injury away from your. team collapsing and one new strategy or. scheme away from winning it all. That's. why football is the greatest. 12-ear NFL. veteran Super Bowl champion AQ Shipley. Is this the best season of football that. you've ever seen before?
>> It's the best season yet. >> Michael Mcuade in Ireland said that was. going to be the case. Thank you to him. for doing that. He was just a year ahead. of time. He said that about last season. Turns out it's about this season. a. nine-year NFL vet, Yukon Husky legend, Darius Jay. Butler, you think McUade was. right about this best season yet that. we're having? >> When is McQuade not right? Of course he. was right. >> Well, he made up some lies, I think, about some stuff. >> Yeah. No, we checked them all out. They. were all fact checked and. >> Oh, yeah. They were McUadeisms. Yeah. Where he was just kind of, >> you know, cartooning things a little bit.
to make sure he could tell an accurate. depiction of what's happening in. Ireland, uh, Pro Football Ireland. and. we appreciate McUade, but it did feel. like from across the pond in that. beautiful aisle, he said that this was. going to be the best season yet. And I. don't know what he was seeing if he was. going to be able to tell that the parody. was going to be outrageous. It was going. to be unexpected every single week. And. did he know college football was going. to be as chaotic as it was? I don't. know. Maybe McUade knows it all. The. talks table certainly loves McUade at. Boston Conor, at Tai Schmidt. Con man, it feels like this football season. spectacular, but also sports as a whole.
WNBA moves into State Farm Arena down. there for uh their finals. That's great. news. MLB has teams that. >> I think before the season had no chance. because they don't spend enough money. They might win it all. And then hockey. had their frozen frenzy last night and. there were storylines galore, goals. galore and propelled their season and. kicked it off in a massive way. Sports. are on fire con man. >> Yeah. And it's really the stars like to. your point WNBA and Reese's balling out. She gets defensive player of the year. >> She goes to Atlanta by the way they make. the finals. Should be talked about.
>> Oh yeah. should be talked about with. Angel Ree getting traded to a team and. them immediately making the finals. Brand new expansion team. They drop into. the league. They make the finals. WNBA. cooking. NBA also off to a hot start. Hallebertton won for like 75 points last. night. I I mean he pulled up from the. logo multiple times. He's getting back. into the groove of things. He said that. first game in Iowa State, he didn't play. that much, but he was winded. He said he. was a bit gassed coming off a big. layoff. Playing shape's different than. training shape. And Tyrese Hallebertton.
and the Pacers are hot. But back to the. hockey con, man. Yeah. I mean, the. frozen frenzy yesterday was spectacular. I love this concept. Seen a lot of. people say they had no idea was. happening. I think we could have. potentially learned about it a little. bit earlier and talked about it, but I. think as people were watching uh NHL. unfold last night, maybe some people. found some new teams and there's young. guys dominating con man. >> Yeah, the young guys thing, the Jenz, I. didn't really understand that. Like you. mentioned Brady Kachchuck. I found out. Brady Kachchuck is 27 years old. >> So he's in it. >> So he's in that. Yeah. Jack Hughes, like. a lot of the superstars, which is. awesome because of how young they are,
but yeah, Conor McDavid, I mean, he had. a goal and three assists. The Oilers. scored four four goals. So, yeah, Conor. McDavid basically made all of those. happen. Brady Kachchuck, like you. mentioned before, it was just stars, you. know, that that's the biggest thing. Crosby has two. Conor Baddard, the young. star for the Chicago Blackhawks. He. comes out, he scores the, you know, not. game winner, but kind of game sealer. almost for the Chicago Blackhawks. Boston Bruins. Mlin Celabbrini, the. young star for San Jose, who they played. late, he scored a goal. Charlie Makavoy.
in his first game back from suspension, he scores a goal. Like anytime the. league as a whole, NFL, NBA, NHL, MLB, has their guys going. That's when it is. the best. That's why the only real thing. in the MLB right now is the conversation. with the Dodgers and Show Otani not. really showing up. >> Yeah. Tell me about Showi Otani a little. bit because I heard uh maybe uh Skipper. Dave came out and said we're just going. to support Show. That's what we're going. to do. You said yesterday he has to be. injured. I guess he's not hitting nearly. as well as everybody had expected he.
would, especially with how his season. went. And then uh if the Dodgers aren't. out, it's all small mid-market teams. that are going to make it. Tell me about. the state of baseball in the playoffs. right now. >> I mean, it's good baseball. You know, whether or not a bunch of people are. watching it, that's a completely. different conversation. But yeah, I. mean, show that's that's the big kind of. talking point right now. I personally. think that he is hurt. He's healthy. enough to play to DH, but he's, you. know, he's dealing with a a shoulder. He's dealing with a knee, and it's just. taken him a while to kind of get back. into the swing of things. The Dodgers.
had talked about benching him, but at. the end of the day, like, you're not. benching this guy. He's one of the best. baseball players of all time. He's won. three out of the last four MVPs. He's going to get it right eventually. So, he is going to be in the lineup. tonight. And I wouldn't be surprised. because he told Dave Roberts like, "Hey, mechanically I'm on to something. I've. been tweaking things a little bit." I. wouldn't be surprised if Showi has a. massive night tonight. >> Okay. So, they're on the brink. >> I think so. So, they're down 2. So, it's. like they they need to go now. I mean, you go you don't because it ends in.
Milwaukee. The the Brewers have. homefield advantage. They have three. games in a row at at Dodger Stadium now. So, yeah. I mean, they they lose. tonight. It's it's scary hours big time. >> Shout out to baseball. Good luck out. there. all the teams, small market teams. representing. What's that going to do. for the lockout? Because it kind of goes. against a lot of conversations that were. taking place. >> That was the only conversation kind of. is, hey, we want everyone to be. competitive and be able to win. And I. kind of said the same thing like, well, that's [ __ ] That's terrible. Uh, if. that's your only argument like the Rays.
have been really good the last five to. 10 years, so have the Brewers. So, it's. like and they don't spend any money. >> Yeah. I think they want a salary floor. though is right. It would make more. teams competitive. owners have to pay. money. >> Same thing. >> So if there's a salary floor, then there. would have to be a salary cap. But if. there's no salary floor, then it teams. like Pittsburgh never going to exist in. actual football. So I still think there. are actual baseball. So I still think. there is a counterargument, but it's. nowhere near what it was a month or two. ago when the Dodgers cuz they paid.
everybody fraudulently. >> Yeah. >> Like the actual money was potentially a. part of a uh a big shell game. >> Mhm. >> Ah, look at me now. Hey, it's going. here. It's going here. I'm buying this. team. I'm buying that team. I'm doing. this. Who's got the money? My insurance. company. Well, can you do that? Yeah. Yeah. Don't worry about it. It's coming. It's all in there. Is it? No. How are. you going to figure it out? I don't. know. Sell everything. I'm go to jail. So, the Dodgers, the way it was built, I. think, was fraudulent federally as. opposed to just fraudulent MLB wise. But.
that was the big argument. Them and the. Mets spending, Pittsburgh Pirates not. spending anything, never having a. chance. Fans want a chance. Players. would like a salary floor then. If you. want to have every team have to. participate, have a salary floor. The. MLB says, "Well, if there's a floor, then there has to be a cap." Maybe. there's just nothing. We just continue. to move on how we are, and maybe. baseball's back next spring. >> I mean, yeah. Again, you know, you're. we're going to put the last four teams, three of the bottom five teams in. spending are still alive. So, it's like, can you draft? Can you develop? Like,
that's a big part of sports as well. It's not just spending money. Like, young guys get drafted. you need to be. able to know which one of these guys are. good, which one isn't worth a [ __ ] Do. we have coaches who can develop these. guys? Do these guys perform when they. get in? So, yeah, obviously the the. Dodgers and the Mets and, you know, the. Yankees and teams of that ilk, like. that's a big part of it, but it's like, you know, there's you still got to go. out there and perform. So, I don't know. what they're going to do. You know, if. the Guardians or the Rays or the Brewers. were to win the World Series, like it, you know, it'll be very interesting. >> Yeah, this is a hilarious tweet. There's.
a lot of this uh that is out there right. now as we head into uh a potential work. stoppage for MLB. Let's not worry about. that now. >> Mhm. >> Let's enjoy baseball. >> That's right. >> Let's enjoy hockey. >> Yeah. >> Let's enjoy football. >> Mhm. >> Let's enjoy basketball. >> Let's enjoy the fact that we have former. president of Ohio, ladies and gentlemen. He's a college football national. champion, Super Bowl champion, Ryder Cup. winner. Ladies and gentlemen, in addict. in Ohio, AJ Haw. >> Uh as we wrap up baseball, the Reds and. the Pirates are never going to be in. this conversation. if everything stays.
status quo. But maybe that's how it's. supposed to be cuz the ownership is ass. >> I don't know. I think the uh there's a. possibility the Reds could find a way to. put this thing together in the next two. to three years and get a World Series. >> Okay. I hope your Reds can do that. Bucka is never going to do that. It's. never going to happen. Let's head over. to Hammer. Dad Tone, if everything was. to remain the same with this. negotiations, do the Pittsburgh Pirates. ever win anything? And is uh is that. something that could deter you from. being a baseball fan? Uh, you would. think so, but the way the playoffs are. playing out this year, and you look at. uh, you know, the teams that are in the.
playoffs still, the Pirates spend more. than two of those teams in there, so why. not? >> Yeah. I mean, I like that 96 million. there. Is that what they said for the. Rays? That's what, half a player for. some of these teams. >> Yeah. >> Mhm. >> We said earlier though, if the Dodgers. don't win, it's good for us. It's good. for not there's not going to be a. lockout. >> Yeah. But I I think they're still going. to have their argument in negotiation. because there's a salary cap expectation. because some of these teams have to pay. But maybe there's just no change. J was. just like, you know what? Baseball's. good. Let's keep it rolling. Let's move. the World Baseball Classic to the. All-Star break. >> Yeah. Get rid of it.
>> It was fun. It was fun while it lasted. >> The All-Star break. >> It's fun while it lasted. >> Yeah. Instead of the All-Star game, do. like four days. >> Let's send college guys. Send high. school and college guys like they used. to do the Olympics back. >> Love it. Let's do it. >> Just get embarrassed. >> Oh, this is how play banana ball. >> Yes. >> Actually, that's perfect. >> Let's do. >> We would win. >> Yeah. >> America would win banana ball. >> You know why? Because like Dominican. Republic, uh, other countries, they. don't do that Mickey Mouse [ __ ]. They got these guys starting at 12 years. old and the goal is, "Hey, we're gonna. get you out of here. You're gonna go.
play in the majors. You're not going to. be whipping your penis out. >> while you're playing baseball." Like, we. don't do that kind of stuff. >> Every time you say, they don't they. don't. >> I swear I've seen it somewhere. I don't. >> You got to check your cookies, brother. That ain't anyone banana baseball. It. sounds like you maybe dabbled into a. part of, you know, the. >> I don't think so. I I see these guys. taking clothes off all the time, dancing. No, no, it we're not talking. about. >> family friendly. I thought. >> Yeah, it is. You're you you got some. people's elbow banana coming up in. >> the guy who's on Dancing with the Stars. I think he's one of the main culprits.
>> No, your algo is showing you the wrong. stuff. AI is crazy right now. That it. is. >> That ain't what Jesse Cole's doing. Jesse Cole's got the Joe Bros. He's got. O. He's got. >> He's a genius. >> Yes. >> There's no two ways about that. >> He also has an incredible hat flip. >> He does. >> Who's on Dance with the Stars? The guy. the stilts pitcher. >> Joe Buck. >> Joe Buck. Joe Buck's on Dance with. Stars. >> Joe Buck was outstanding on Dancing with. the Stars last night. He was one of the. judges. He did so good. Fit right in. >> Is it live? >> It is live. Yes, it is. >> Oh, so he he has to actually know his.
[ __ ] the whole time. And he did. >> and I questioned it the whole time. But. from beginning to end, Joe fit in so. good. He was so good at it. It was. unbelievable. And then I'll note this, the uh the banana ball guy, he has not. whipped his penis out on Dancing with a. Star. >> Yeah, he never did that. >> Thought ABC of course. you know, you. know what kind of fines you're getting. slapped with, you do that. But they hit. a ball, you know, it's not on TV. What. are you going to do? >> It is on TV and there's kids there. They. ain't doing that. It's a great show and. it might be your only baseball next. year. So, let's not talk too negatively. about it. Shout out to Joe Buck.
performing well for all of football and. sports out there with Dancing with the. Stars. He's not supposed to be good on. there. Fact that he was, we appreciate. that, Joe. He also uh How many. touchdowns does Charlie Becker have on. the season thus far? Let's head over to. Hammer Don Tone. How many touchdowns. does Charlie Becker have? >> Eight. Damn. >> He's eight touchdowns. So, uh, Joe Buck. with his new deal, he agreed 10,000 per. touchdown. >> Nice. >> So, that's 80 grand donation thus far. Charlie Becker on pace for 19.
touchdowns. Shout out to Joe Buck doing. that. And Michelle Bisner, Buck, his. wife, she obviously had to sign off on. that as well. I don't think either of. them have, but if we say it publicly. enough, they will definitely have to buy. in. Let's go from dancing with the stars. in the NFL representatives and the. Savannah ball uh representatives to. college football. Lot of chatter today. because what Greg Seni said at SEC. basketball media days about an openness. to a 2014 playoff. There's currently a. college football playoff simulation. happening uh with select media members.
going down and learning how the process. goes for how they select who's who. whenever the CFP rankings are to come. out starting week 10, maybe week eight, I forget what it is. So this is uh the. CFP kind of cooking and then the 2014. playoff potentially happening around the. corner to tell us everything about. what's happening right now is the. authority on college football. one of. the faces of college game day and. voices. Ladies and gentlemen, Pete Daml,
>> what up Pete? >> Gentlemen, how are we doing today? >> Okay, so. >> a lot of ground there. >> Thank you. >> Savannah Bananas. Yeah, impressive. range. >> Well, they're selling out college. football stadium, so we thought people. would kind of piece that together for. the college football conversation with. the Savannah Bananas. They don't do what. Tai said they do. That that is AI what. Tai's watching. And we we don't know why. that's what Tai Zalgo is showing him. So. >> yeah, it's crazy. >> That's a whole another conversation in. of itself that maybe Pete could break. down someday. Maybe Pablo gets into that. someday. Uh Pete, let's talk about the.
2014 playoff. According to source. >> uh from the SEC, the members are open or. more open than they've ever been for a. 2014 playoff. I think they are looking. for a nine plus one which means nine. conference game plus another big game on. schedules for other conferences and. championship weekend uh is quite a. concern potentially as well. What do we. know about what's happening and when can. we all expect it? beat.
>> Pat, if ESPN is going to secure the. rights for the additional playoff. inventory for 2014 playoff, the. expectation is we'll know relatively. soon, likely this week, whether or not. that happens. Uh, I guess we'll step. back and you have to remember the. College Football Playoff is actually. just really a television contract. That. that's what it is right now. And right. now it's a television contract for uh a. 12 uh team playoff, which is which is 11. games. Uh ESPN and the CFP now for 34ish.
days have been in a in a negotiation. back and forth on potentially procuring. the expanded college football playoff. Uh why Greg Seni's comments to me are so. significant today is this is by far the. most open he's indicated being to to. expand the playoffs. Now, Greg is a very. calculating guy and he's always very. careful with his words and he was never. against it like overtly Pat, but he was. always he was always sort of guarded and.
neutral and he he's a big let's explore. the data. Let's run down what it would. look like for the non-conference. Let's. run down what it would look like for the. selection committee. Let's let's run out. all the traps before we declare. anything. So, this wasn't a stand on the. table, openthroated, we're allin, but. this was simply Greg Sanki indicating an. openness from the SEC, which uh I. interpreted as being as being fairly. significant and likely a signal flare. that uh we could be getting some uh we. could base some clarity soon on the CFP.
going to 24 teams. The expectation, Pat, remains the CFP will go to 24 teams. The. vehicle that carries it there is still. going to be the question. Uh ESPN has a. built-in advantage in these. negotiations, Pat, because we're going. to be eliminating conference. championship games. ESPN owns three of. those four major conference championship. games. So, it's almost like they they. get to enter the negotiation with a. rebate or a coupon, right? Like we had, you know, x00 million, 150 million, whatever it is, guar, you know, already.
allotted to put up for college football. inventory. So, that money essentially. gets reallocated towards bidding for the. CFP. So clarity uh clarity will come. soon on uh on on ESPN and the CFP's. talks. >> I assume because ESPN uh has 100%. exclusivity on the college football. playoff and are the landlords if they. would like to send out to CW or TNT. They probably get a first negotiation if. the CFP was to expand as well. So, not.
only is there already money in. championship weekends that is already. potentially presented for that case, I. think they also are, I would assume, the. first ones that CFP has to negotiate. with that because if ESPN doesn't want. it, somebody definitely will. And it. sounds like that is the case. ESPN. though, I think we should say has not. been the driver for a 2014 playoff. I I. I don't I don't think they have been the. main drivers behind this. I think the. people at the top of ESPN have come out. and said like we are not the one. This.
has been CFP saying we should open this. up to 24 and the CFP committee makes up. uh commissioners and ads and there's a. lot of people that want the 2014. Can. you re uh kind of explain why people do. want the 2014 playoffs in positions of. power in college football? >> So last August, Pat, um we broke the. story that the Big 10 had actually. started to socialize is a big word with. these things, right? they start to. socialize a 24 and 28 team CFP and.
that's what 14 months ago and the idea. was fairly roundly mocked in the media. and it was it was it was greeted fairly. chilly around the industry but in that. time in just 14 months that notion went. from being you know kind of there was an. outcry against it and and that notion. has has been generally embraced and I. think a lot of this starts with Pat and. and you can obviously identify this with. all all your ties to West Virginia is is. what teams are having to spend now. Um. so this will not be a windfall of money.
for the conferences this this version of. the expanded playoff. Um what it what it. is is it's an access play and and and. it's not surprising the Big 10 started. it. They have 18 teams, right? So it. behooves them that they want more access. just like the Big 10 was a big proponent. of the expanded NCA tournament. They. have 18 teams. They want the middle of. their pack to get in in and say a. basketball tournament. In football, going to 24 gives their middle class. more games with juice this time of year, right? Late in the season, November,
December, Iowa, you know, is having a. great season. UCLA is having a great. season. Wisconsin's having a great. season. Like those teams would have. really meaningful games. That had always. been Tony Patiti of the Big 10's. rationale behind this. Slowly the idea. codified. Um, you look, the the ACC and. the Big 12 are lagging behind. financially. So, they want all the. access points they can get for their uh. for for their top teams. And really, it's it's been the the rare thing in. college sports that's been a ground. swell. All the coaches want it, right,
Pat? Who what what coach doesn't want to. make the playoffs or more more access to. the playoffs? The ads feel the financial. pressure. They're saying, "Hey, if we're. spending in the Big 10 probably a median. of $30 million a year on our roster, we. want hope, right? Hope's a powerful. drug. We want hope that to say, "Hey, this is going to justify our expense. We. could play a home playoff game. We could. host a playoff game. We could be in the. we could be in the playoffs." So, over. these 14 months since it's been. introduced, that the ideas really caught.
on. Uh the the Big 12 came out in favor. of it, the ACC came out in favor of it, and within the SEC, the coaches all. obviously wanted it. the the athletic. directors and the presidents Pat really. felt like this this was a financial. justification for them and especially. going to nine games right we've he. comments this year about nine games in. the SEC and the injuries and just how. much more difficult it becomes u and I. think one last thing and I know I've. been rambling pretty good here that will.
come will come with this Pat is the Big. 10 will add a uh a guaranteed non-con. conference power game. So, it's a huge. scheduling play. I mean, look, the Big. 10's opening few weeks were pretty. pedestrian, right? Like the the big noon. kickoff games on Fox were uh North Texas. and Indiana, no offense to Indiana, and. obviously Kent State and Ohio State. Uh. if you have mandatory, you know, power. games, you get a lot more games that. look like, uh their week 2 game, uh.
Oklahoma, Michigan, right? Like those. are those are the games that get fans. excited, that get quite frankly us. excited, right, as people who cover the. sport. We want more of those games. Tony. Patiti has been very clear publicly that. they would they would be committed and. all the major commissioners in the room. would be committed to playing nine. conference games plus a power conference. game which would really juice up the. schedule and it would be good for I. think for everybody, right? Everybody. fans fans certainly all want those. games. Yeah, it good for the sport, good. for fans, certainly good for college.
football's growth, which there is still. a lot of room to go even though it's. this clearly the second biggest sport in. the United States of America. 9 plus one. is what the SEC currently is. Nine. conference games plus one big game. Okay, need that on your schedule. I. think the SEC from our understanding is. looking for uh Okay, you guys only need. eight conference games and then what? So. we we got 10 tough games. If we're going. to do this, we would like everybody to. be on the same playing field for the. good of ball. And then championship.
weekend, what happens there? That's just. going to get eliminated, Pete. You. think? >> Yeah. >> Bye. It's gone. Now, championship. weekend had gone stale with this 12 team. iteration, Pat. Uh it it just had. Now, look, you've been the SEC title game. We've been there for game day. Like, it. it's awesome, right? We were at the Big. 12 one year. It was great. like those. conference championship games, you know, the the juice with the 12 team playoff, the juice left them a little bit. Um, and if we go back to was it Georgia. three years ago now or two years ago, Carson Beck gets hurt in the conference.
championship game and you know they have. to they have to roll out uh Gunnar. Stockton who' never started a game. before in the in the playoff against uh. against Notre Dame. So the there the. fear obviously became like okay is. somebody going to rest their starters in. the conference championship game. Now I. don't think that would have ever. happened but the the games just didn't. have the resonance if everybody had. already kind of secured a playoff spot. that they had had in the past. >> You talked about rambling. It behooves. all of us for you to tell us about the. signal flares for every decision that.
happens going forward for college. football. We've been to every Big 10. championship here in Indianapolis that. there has been since we've been here. >> We have a great time. I love We have a. great time at those games and it's a big. celebration whenever you win your. conference championship. I guess the. season champion will now just be what. the champion is of each conference. I. think that's going to be tough for the. SEC to give up because of what they. built the SEC championship into. If they. can get to the bottom of that plus the 9. plus one from our understanding, deal.
should be good. Now, people are going to. be pissed. AJ, like Ohio State people, old school college football fans are. going to hate that this happens. Is that. accurate, AJ? >> I that's what I wanted to ask Pete like. who is against it and what is their. argument against expanding this? Like is. there anybody outside? Like we always. know coaches want to expand at 24, but. are we just worried about the fans and. all the backlash from the old school. like football people? >> So AJ, I I really feel like the the. biggest counter to 24 comes from the. regular season argument. uh college.
football and again I'm biased but has. the best regular season in all of. sports, right? The you know you think. about the juice of these early season. matchups because the stakes are so high. and look AJ like when you played for. example um and when Pat played you you. had to be perfect, right? Or you had to. be darn season over. >> Yes. One one loss was punitive and you. might like you you need 19 other things. to happen. But you you woke up every. Saturday in the old era of college. football knowing you could not Yes. you. could not you could not slip up and that.
helped make college football that you. know like Pat just mentioned the second. most popular sport in America every. weekend on every campus the games. mattered a whole lot. Um so the thought. is does the regular season get devalued. some because you know Alabama Georgia. for example was a unbelievable game last. week. Do we shrug our shoulders and say. ah they're both going to be in maybe. somebody hosts like now you're playing. for different things. are playing for. seating and home field advantage in in. in things that really are not intuitive. to the college football fan. Um and does.
you know some of the the juice and drama. that has really defined the sport in. September, October, uh November get you. know lessened because there is there is. a safety net now you you know. >> losing three games and making the. playoff. >> would become commonplace, right? Like. that would be that would be normal. I. believe Alabama made it last year with. three with three losses. Um if if memory. serves off the top of my head. So it's. still not an anomaly now, but it it.
would become just kind of par for the. course and that's just different. That's. like winning the AFC East, right? And. you you know the Patriots are going to. lose to the Dolphins on the road, whatever. Like it's just part of it. And. so it's a it's a uh I hope not either, but it's a uh it's a fun it's a. fundamental shift in sea change and in. you know the mentality of the sport and. how it's been operated. >> We the NFL is still doing very well even. though every game isn't an elimination. game. I do understand that was a. differentiator for college football. I. think with where we're at with college.
football now, I think the quality of the. game, the environments, the buyin from. everybody, the parody of the league, I. think it can stand on its own with a. loss or without a loss. And that game. this past weekend is because the nine. plus one, okay, that the Georgia Bama. game is because of nine plus one. happening down there in the SEC. If we. get that everywhere, we got massive. games. I think the fans are still going. to flock and even more are going to. come, especially with more at the end, but there's going to be people pissed. Now, final question here for you, Pete. from Tai. >> Yeah, Pete, obviously a lot to still get.
figured out here, but is there any uh. like when do they expect this all to. take effect? >> So, it it would be for 27, Tai. That's. that that's my that's. >> that's awesome. Next year. >> Yeah. >> I mean, there's there's some scheduling. things that need to be figured out. Army, Navy, because remember, we're. moving to week zero is week one next. year already. Um everything's getting. shifted everything's getting shifted up. a week. Does that make sense, Pat? Like, you know, there's usually eight games in. week zero and it's always like Hawaii.
and um you know, there's Ireland game, etc. Well, all that getting is going to. get shifted earlier to to accommodate uh. to accommodate all this. So, um yeah, the the the expectation is this is going. to this is going to roll and roll quick. >> All right, we appreciate you for joining. us and breaking it all down. We know. you'll stay on top of it. Why aren't you. down there at the CFP simulation thing? That feels like something you should be. snooping around. You should be on the. committee. The what? >> Feels like uh feel feels like they're. going to have to change that for next. year passing because the selection is.
for 24 is going to be very different. than 12. >> You're the best. Pete, thank you so much. for all the signal flares. That's Pete. >> We'll send them up for you. >> Thanks. People in Ohio State are going to be the. most pissed. You know, like the old. school college football fans are going. to be the most mad. I think that was the. worry about expanding the playoffs and. then when the conference championship. game became a big part of the entire. story and then it's a week after Ohio. State Michigan. These two just going to. play each other again next week. Like.
that was a conversation. I think the. game's so good. I think it'll be able to. survive by itself without just every. week being an elimination game. I. personally think that. >> I agree. The one thing that I hope they. try to do, and I I feel like they've. kind of tried to avoid it in 12, is I. don't hopefully it's not just a bunch of. like conference rematches in these early. rounds. Like, we want to see I want to. see the other teams play the other teams. and not just, oh, we're getting another. Big 10 matchup in the first round and. another. >> Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa. You want them to.
cook the rankings? >> Absolutely. Yeah. Do you think. eventually that Big 10 and SEC. completely goes away? Like like I'm. saying like as they are right now. Do. you think they just make it like the NFL. where there's 32 teams. >> and like have like four team divisions. >> It's been talked about and fantasized in. theory about, but I I think each of. these conferences get so much money for. different things. And those deals aren't. up until 2032 or 2034. So the planning. for that would have to start now. But it. would also have to be a lot of hold from.
people that are getting deals in 2030, I. think. So. >> I Yes. would be amazing if it if it came. to that, but I don't think you'll ever. see the Big 10 in the SEC disappear now. Pack 12 we thought was dead. It's alive. Wow. >> So, everybody's in everybody in here is. in on the 24 game. >> I'm not I I. >> have not. >> I'm not exactly, but I know it's going. to happen and I'm whatever. So, but. yeah, I understand why they're doing it, but no, I don't I don't like it. I think. some What are those first rounds What. are the first round games going to look.
like? What's the score going to be? >> Well, that's what the first round is. now. So, I think that's kind of what the. cover the more home college football. games though. Another round of home. >> college football playoff games on. campuses. >> I think we all like that. Yeah, >> I think we all like that. >> But we think you could also do that. still if you were to take it if you were. moving it up so you're not in the middle. of whatever the weather is some of these. places. >> I I don't know. I I think this is quite. an out for a lot of coaches. >> Definitely. >> I think I think this is quite an out.
which is why they're supporting it. I. think we are going to make. >> the playoffs 10 years in a row. >> Exactly. >> Like that's like that's it's like making. the playoffs in the NBA. Like who cares? It becomes a part like it was tough. Like that drama between Notre Dame and. Miami last year getting in both very. good teams. You know that that made it. like okay you got in now what? And then. you go on a run like that's special. But. just I feel like it's 24 then it'll be. however many then however it just keeps. going up. And I don't know, maybe it's. just fresh off watching that saving dock. where you're looking at you remembering.
like Bama LSU playing and then something. crazy had to happen late. I think. Oklahoma State had to lose so they got. the rematch in the national. championship. I don't I don't know. I I. and I'm, you know, I'm probably sound. like a old man yelling the cloud because. it is that's just what college football. now is at this point. But even the. conference champ like I like conference. champs. >> Me too. We we like going to the big I. like going down to the SEC one every. time we get a chance to do it. We went. out to the Big 12 one. It was It felt. like their fans really wanted it. It. felt like their fans really wanted. >> that could be the first round of the. playoffs and we'll be okay though. You.
know that. >> What's that? >> We can get rid of that and that be the. first round of the playoffs and. everything will be fine. >> Agreed. I I think that's where we're all. at. >> in the song. >> What's that? >> Oh yeah. 24 counting down to one. That's how we. crown a CFP national. >> champion. They can't they can't remake. that magic agent. >> I mean 12 and 24. I mean, if they set it. quickly enough, start on 24, counting. down to one, they can they'll do that. >> They can do it. >> They'll do that. >> Rotating bases do something.
>> More more teams get a shot to shine. >> Definitely more teams get a shot. Adlib that in there. >> Rotating. >> Let's not go from you being negative. >> Let's go to you in a suit. >> Okay. >> And Tai Schmidt saw something he was. dreaming of seeing this past weekend. It's time for Debuts Situational Report. Hey, tell us about this week's sit rep. as you look incredibly cool on that. graphic. And uh I think we're diving in. the Green Bay Packer success a little. bit. >> We are. We are. Another sit rep uh.
offense once again. I was this close. It. was this close to being a Vikings the. first defensive sit rep. We'll probably. get down uh down and dirty with those. boys at some point. But I mean Matt. Lafleur, we talked about giving him his. flowers a couple years ago. He came out. big rivalry game. He was very very. aggressive. Jordan Love had a big day. 25 for 31, 367 yards. And what I like. was the aggressiveness on first down. specifically around midfield. AJ knows. this is the shot territory. First and. 10, big bodies on the field. Jordan Love.
under center. Now, the Bears did a lot. I think they helped him out. And this is. part of being on first down. Both of. these corners right here, your cover. guys, right? These are guys you're. paying money to cover. Fast wide. receivers. Both these guys are going to. blitz. So, you're going to have Devin. Bush out here in the flat and cover two. And you got a safety down here. Believe. Xavier Woods in the deep half. He. doesn't get enough depth. You got. Christian Watson coming over in motion. which gives him free access. He gets. outside of the flat defender and just. runs up the rail and Jordan Love does a. great job putting it out there for an.
easy what I would call an easy touchdown. NFL. This is wide open. The number one. wide receiver on this team wide open in. the end zone. I think it started with. the play design but also with the Bears. helping them out probably calling a run. blitz first down sending both your. corners off the edge and now you asked. out in coverage. So, is this Jordan Love. taking advantage of the situations or is. this them being actually more. aggressive? >> I think the play call is definitely. aggressive. First and 10, you're taking. a shot. This is once once this the. alumni territory once anytime you're. watching film and you see that logo, first and 10, you better believe be.
ready for a shot. You're deep. So, once. again, this looks good on paper. You got. a linebacker out in the flat, not too. much stress. You got a safety who should. be uh fine. You got two receivers. You. got all the speed over here. You'll even. see if you run it back one more time, Fox, you'll just rewind it about 5. seconds. You'll see the backside safety. rookie. Once he doesn't have any deep. threat, he's basically telling the other. side, "Hey, push push. I kind of I kind. of got your help over here, but all the. speed, all the talents over here, he. just doesn't get enough depth." And uh. Jordan Love takes advantage of it. But. it starts with the play, the aggressive.
play call on both sides. Defensively, it's aggressive sending both of your. corners, but offensively taking. advantage of that. >> That's crazy going eightman protection, max protection, only a two-man route. with five people in coverage. Five. people in coverage, two twoman route, >> and they're both wide ass open. wide, >> Ty. This is something that Jordan Love. never he's a dink and dunker, right? And. the shots are normally Hail Marys into. double coverage. >> Well, when when they're playing well. like they they are aggressive and they. throw it downfield. But whether it's. been the protection and then they just. he doesn't have time to do it or I think. what a lot of people have been.
complaining about this year is we know. the line's an issue. A lot of early down. runs and then they're putting themselves. in third and eight, third and nine, third and 11 and forcing them to do. that. But when they're really rolling, he's aggressive and throwing it. downfield. >> They said that was the best Jordan Love. Do we have a couple more? >> 12 yards per attempt in this game. And. this is right here again. Now you have. Christian Watson up there as like a a. tight receiver. He's going to end up. becoming a slot. Once again, first and. 10. Once again, the Bears are going to. blitz their corners. You're going to. have split safeties, but in instead of.
running up the rail this time, now. Christian Watson free access once again. right down the middle. Middle has clear. right down the middle. Another shot on. first and 10, being aggressive with the. play call. Jordan Love making an. accurate throw. And I mean, once you're. you're blit I I mean, you can switch it. up, you know, blitz a boundary corner. here and there, maybe catch an offense. off guard, but with these weapons that. the Green Bay Packers have down the. field. I wouldn't do a ton of blitzing. my corners, but this is once again first. down, probably a run blitz. You got. Christian Watson ends up in the slot,
free access down the middle of the. defense. Another big play for number. nine. Did we expect this out of Jordan. Love and the Packers this week against. the Bears tie coming in? >> Uh, no, not really. I mean, I think this. is what everyone's kind of been waiting. for and they want to see that because. Christian Watson has been unbelievable. and Matthew Golden has really started to. get going, but they they've always been. kind of run or pass off the run. Like. they've really wanted to establish the. run game and then a lot of play action. off that, but they just haven't been. able to run the football. So, it's kind. of been like, hey, this is what you have. to do. You have to go out there and be. aggressive with Jordan Love and he kind.
of has to be Superman. >> We're up 20 to7 now. Green Bay Packers, they can take the foot off the gas. >> Nope. Nope. Not this game. You know, there's a lot of heat between the. coaches, some heat between the players. Another big time play. Now only got one. wide receiver on the field. Bo Melton, 13 personnel. Defense probably thinking. run, right? Nope. Corner, he bumps in. Now you got the tight end. Hard play. action. Another max protection. Rolling. to his left, Jordan Love. And now you're. thinking the route concepts. Everything's going that way. Tucker. Craft's probably going to run a corner. route. Nope. He runs a post. Jordan Love.
flips his hips, throws it down the. field. So everybody got in on the. action. That's great play design. Great. aggressiveness once again and then. getting other players involved as well. Tucker Craft obviously expect to have a. big time year. >> Jordan Love to his left flip hits. >> He was feeling himself. >> I I mean that is a absolute bomb. AJ. Hawk. >> look how look how smooth and under. control he is. But all this stuff to you. about that you're showing it's coming. from like tight condensed splits. everything. Like you said this is 13. personnel. Obviously, Laflur had. something on on film going into this.
game like planned up and they it seemed. to uh they called it at the right time. and they executed. >> and maybe just looking to protect Jordan. Love if the conversation has been he. hasn't been able to make any plays. They. have it against the Chicago Bears. We. have more. >> Oh yeah, we got more shots. We got more. guys too. This one is golden. And now. once again play design. You're going to. motion down 317. >> AJ mentioned tight condensed splits. Jordan Love under center. And now. obviously, especially at this point in. the game, number nine, you got a rookie. free safety. He's in the middle of the. field. You see this route concept week.
in and week out. Deep over with the deep. post on the backside. But now you got. two speed guys, Watson and Golden. The. safety, he's going to sit on one. Jordan. Love is just reading one guy here, middle of field safety. I'm reading the. rook. If he comes down on Watson, I'm. throwing it deep to Golden. And now that. backside corner who's freed up, he has. to beat Golden to the ball, which he. doesn't. Great throw to your big time. speedy wide receiver. Referee does a. great job rolling, being an athlete, getting the hell out the way. A great. throw, being aggressive, like you said, 317. You're still up in the fourth.
quarter. You still got your foot on the. gas. >> Ty feels like a little zipper burn. happening while we're watching these. highlights. >> Well, I think this is why I get so. frustrated and irritated at times. because I know this is in there, you. know, and sometime like sometimes it. just they come out and they do not look. prepared to play at all. And again, the. O line has been a big part of that early. this year, but like we've seen this from. Jordan Love time and time again. Like. Matt Laflur being in his bag, him. throwing it downfield, accurate balls, and the the not taking the foot off the. gas. That's the big thing. Like I think. that's what everyone wanted to see is,
hey, it doesn't matter that they're up. 317. Like go out there and beat the [ __ ]. out of these guys. Not just because of. all the the [ __ ] that Ben Johnson's. talked, but like that's how they lost. two of the Bears games last year was not. taking their foot off the gas and. letting them back into the game. Couple. fun facts and stats here. Jordan Love. had the most pass yards, 367 in an. interception free game in the history. >> Wow. >> Of the Bears Packers rivalry. And. Christian Watson, there's stats coming. out about him as well. He leads the NFL. in 30 yard catches. Six of them in 30. yard touchdowns. Three of them. Half of.
his explosives are going for Todd. Go. ahead. >> And this last one, the fourth, the first. four we shown was all first down. So. probably not expected like AJ said, probably had a tail on the defense. Now. Todd, can you give us a little context. on what happened kind of before this. third and 22? >> Yeah, so on uh on second down they throw. a a deep ball to to Watson. Should have. been PI. Was not called. Okay. So they. come back. Next play uh Love throws a. deep ball to Sturivant down the right. sideline. He catches it. Called for. offensive PI. So it gets pushed back to.
third and 22. And it's like, okay, you. know, should have been a touchdown or we. should have been in the red zone, you. know, on the goal line. And now we're. probably just going to run a draw and. punt and who knows. >> Yep. Alternate ball don't lie situation. But now third and 22. Like you said, screen draw. I'm thinking as a defense. rally and tackle. Nope. They're going to. take another shot with Christian Watson. in the slot now. And now you have three. deep defenders. You see five standing. back there. Those other two guys are. going to come become like double buzz. defenders. So it's going to become three. double buzz what we would call it. And. they were kind of hanging there looking.
for dig routes. You're going to get a. dig route here at the bottom. But. Christian Watson once again free access. within the defense. So they're just. sitting ab buzz. So it's that corner. Jaylen Johnson. You got to get depth. Be. deep as the defense. Free safety as. well. Watson throws his hand up. Makes a. great Now this is a throw you throwing. in traffic. You're just trusting your. 6'4 65 wide receiver to just go up there. and catch it. And on the TV copy, it. looks even better with the catch. And. like you said, this was a ball don't lie. situation. And if you have time, the. Packers social media, I think they put. out like a fivem minutee clip of.
Christian Watson being wired this game, being miked up this game. And it's it's. a it's a good watch, good listen for. sure. >> That's a 64 yard ball right there just. throwing from Jordan Love with ease. Christian Watson does it. What was the. Jordan Love quote about this particular. play? >> Didn't he say something about I was mad. about the first two, so he threw another. deep ball or something along those. lines? Jordan Love as he continued to. ball. I I I don't remember seeing that, but he Yes, probably because he was. really pissed after the OPI. >> Uh I appreciate that Jordan Love and. Laflur are finding it. I like that they. get a big time win over.
>> the uh Ben Johnson led Chicago Bears cuz. we started talking about Ben Johnson and. the Bears as if you know. >> Oh, they're they're on here. >> What do you mean they're on here? >> Some Ben Johnson bears. They don't I do. my Dannowski. >> Oh, they're on good D. you're saying. against that particular offense, but we. were talking about this Bears team being. unstoppable. They don't have Caleb. They. have Casease. They have Tyson Bagman. Bean in there. Ben Johnson's going to do. what he's going to do. He's the big bad. wolf going into Lambo. And the floor.
said, "Not so fast, my friend." Shout. out to Lee Corso. Shout out to situation. report. >> Baby. >> And uh ladies and gentlemen, it is time. to do something we get a chance to do. every single week where we celebrate the. big guys. It's time to go in the. trenches with the top five top five top. five performing offensive lines from. week five of the NFL season with AQ. Shipley at number five Monday Night. Football Zone Buffalo Bill. >> What did they do AQ? Well, they came. back and had a really good performance.
this week. They ran it pretty well and. Josh Allen and James Cook were obviously. two-headed monster and then the other. boys got involved. But look, you see a. little carrot over Aaron Donald. They. scheme this up this way, right? They put. the back two Aaron Donald. So you get. the double team on the back side right. there. You get Spencer Brown and Osiris. Torrren climbing up on one side. You get. the double team between the center and. the guard on the front side. Alec. Anderson, Conor McGovern right there. Hip to hip. Beautiful technique. You. keep Aaron Don away from the play. Hip. to hip. Now the center Conor McGovern. He's going to climb on the linebacker. Yep. What is that? That's a butt and a. butt. We find a big gaping hole.
>> Beautiful run by Cook. This is one of. the ones that he did not fumble and. lowers his shoulder and runs through at. the end. >> Well, he actually lowered the crown of. his helmet could have potentially been. targeted, but hey, offensive players. doing it. Him getting off of the duo. there, uh, getting up to the second. level is what the most impressive part. of this is by McGovern. >> Absolutely. Does a great job. A lot of. guys continue at the angle. But listen, every time you have an offset back to. the backside, they're never going to. cross the midline. So, he does a good. job pressing here and then getting.
vertical coming back and sealing there. >> Congrats to the Buffalo Bills. You. already should know. >> That's right. >> You already know. >> He played well. Deion Dawkins had a. great game. >> He did. I got a chance to talk to him. from across the field in warm-ups. And I. told him, I said, "Hey, we doing this. tonight." And he goes, >> he started talking about the refs. wanting to call a hold on him. He's so. athletic for how big he is. You forget. how monstrous of a man he is. We saw him. at the ESPs. He was walking behind us. Giant. >> So big. >> And then you see him on a football field. just warming up. It's like this guy is. monstrous. So athletic. A lot of.
athletic uh big men. Let's talk about. the number four performing offensive. line coming out of week five of the NFL. season, the Pittsburgh Steelers. Wow. AQ, you're from I mean, you can't see a. single offensive lineman in the back of. that, but there is uh a slew of them. across the top right there. I mean, there's certainly. >> lurking. They're in there lurking. >> They're lurking in the shadows. In the. shadows of being great is where they. lived at the beginning of the season. A. lot of people were worried about them. They make a switch and now they're.
dominant and the Pittsburgh Steelers. offense looked great because of it. >> That's exactly right. Jaylen Warren had. over 100 yards rushing again. And when. you talk about this group, they make a. switch on the right side. But let me. tell you, Mason McCormack, who I've been. kind of lukewarm on over the last couple. years, he comes in this year. He's at. left guard. This is a duo play, right? This is all the meat, all the meats to. the left side. Everybody knows on the. Colts defense. They know where it's. going. But Mason McCormack does an. incredible job. Him and Zack Frasier. have been fantastic this year. There's. the duo block right there. You get the. ace block, right? Look at him hit the.
hip. Watch the nose guard go across to. help Zack Frasier as he does that. Boom. He's going to go across and then you got. Troy Faton who climbing on the second. level. Does a nice job. Look, Jaylen. Warren goes left, sets up his block for. Darnell Washington. Make it look like. he's going to go right. Watch him bounce. again. But then we're going to go back. to Mason McCormack. We've seen this clip. where he takes a linebacker and he just. throws a guy has a grand old time out. there. >> Yeah, he certainly was. He was laughing. Uh-huh. Certainly fun if you're not a. fan of the Colts. I think the Steelers.
have found something. Let's go to the. number three performing offensive line. coming out of week five of the NFL. season. Might. >> they were on here. They were a mainstay. on here in years past. >> Yeah. And they they played fantastic. this week. They had some backups in the. game at left guard and left tackle, whole left side of the line. But let's. look at these two guards, right? This is. the key to this play. They got to get up. and get front side leverage on the. linebackers. Also, let's watch the. center. He's going to set on the nose. guard, show pass protection, then go. behind the line, show a little. deception. Look at the fullback, Bredesen. Right. Bredesen goes in short.
motion. He's going to go and replace the. tight end. Now the tight end's going to. go back and wham the nose guard. Wham! >> Boom! There it is. Had his eyes going. back with the center. You wham him and. then you get two for one right here with. Bredesen and Brian O'Neal on the front. side. Beautiful blocked at the second. level by the guards. And then you get. Aaron Jones who goes over 100 yards. again. He was fantastic. >> Congrats to Aaron Jones. I saw him. celebrating life as he should. Minnesota. Vikings are 5-0. The number two. performing offensive line out of week. five, the Detroit football Lions.
>> So maybe it is the brand new. Lions. >> Goth having an MVP season. Nobody. talking about it cuz their defense. hasn't been able to stop anybody. Offensive line good AQ. >> Yeah. And the only reason they weren't. number one is because of the slow start. as Foxy knows all year long. But look, you see that defensive end right there. Almond Ross Brown's going to come in. He's going to get the crack block. And. then you send Leaport to th on Buddha. Baker. Watch this double team between. the guard and the tackle and Rattlage. and Blake Miller right there. Can opener. get front side and then you get big. Brock Wright, the second tight end. He.
makes this whole thing go as he gets out. as the fullback. Yep, there it is. Get. him on the DB. What's that, boys? A big. gaping hole. >> And then you see the front side. leverage. And you do not want to give. Jir Gibbs that much time. >> Jir Gibbs goes on to be the NFC. offensive player of the week. King. Grassy offensive line and the number one. performing offensive line out of week. five the Tampa Bay Buccaneers quickly. quickly one and four at number one. >> Yeah, the Buccaneers over 200 yards rush. in the right side of this line and get. it and Malc right look at them. They're.
going to go inside. We get down block. down block and then we get the counter. coming back. Bredesen I just mentioned. his brother as the fullback for the. Vikings. He's starting at left guard for. the Buccaneers. Get the kick out. You. get Pay Durham coming around as the. second puller. He goes one, he climbs to. two right there. There it is. This is. winner winner chicken dinner. And they. end the game right there. >> And downfield blocked to by the wide. receivers. Congratulations to these five. performing offensive lines out of week. five. Thank you. AQ as we won in the. trenches. Big day with big shreds. Breaking down all the big plays is next.
We continue digitally. Be a friend. Tell. a friend something nice that might. change your life. We'll see you tomorrow. for football week six. >> Boom. Nailed it. >> Might have been late. Way to get it in. >> My heart rate's at like 170 right now. Nailed it. You got that was a shot clock. play clock type thing going on right. there. That was that was uh. >> at this number's at 11. This one's at. 22. We have 11 seconds to play with. here. How's AQ going to do it? You did. great. >> Thank you. >> You did really well breaking it down. Tampa Bay Buccaneers are number one. One. and four. That means you've been waiting.
to put him up there. >> Oh, listen. I trained their center. So. that's that's one of my shipyards. finding all I've been waiting for him to. have a day like he did. >> Be biased. >> All right, let's get to a break. >> Warf's best in the league. Just saying. Left tackle. He's unbelievable. They're. one. >> Iowa. highlighted uh couple tight ends who. also went to Iowa. >> Yeah, >> maybe Kirk Ference got figured out. >> Yeah, he might know what he's doing. You. know, >> I'll tell you what, 2014 playoff. Hawkeye's is going to be every every. single year. >> I know. It's awesome. >> I mean, they're going to be in there.
every. >> every year. Another Kurt Kurt dog we. saw, too. >> He was in the trenches post game. >> Oh, yeah. >> Oh, you're talking Jackson. You need you. need a couple guys like that. >> What was that? That that that was very. late. >> Yeah, >> he's an Iowa guy. >> Mhm. Did not know that. >> That was very late. He's been suspended. two games, I think, because uh they. looked at it and said, "Bro, this game's. been over, dude. >> A real punch.". >> Playing at a high level, too. >> Bradley Chub did something to get him.
going. >> Bang. Punch in the mouth. But Chub goes, "What was that? This game's over. We. already done with the prayer. You got. your [ __ ] clothes off already, dude. You've already given away your jersey to. somebody. What are we doing here?". That's some deepseated real heat. >> Hey, you're not getting out of this. [ __ ] stadium without me letting you. know. I don't like I don't like it one. bit. Allaric Jackson suspended two games. for that conduct. That was so late. I. think Josh Allen was in his third. interview. >> Yep. >> He was in his third interview. Already.
did one. So happy for the guys. Already. did another one. Then he was doing. Spanish. >> Yeah. >> He was Oh, yeah. He was doing it was his. third interview and all of a sudden. started what? What h did something. happen here after a postgame? Maybe it. was a bad prayer. >> Could have been. >> Well, we had one of those before. pregame. >> That was halftime, I think. >> No, it was pregame. Remember we ran and. missed pregame intros? >> I think it was halftime. >> Are you sure? >> Half sure. Yeah, cuz me and Vinnie were. out there. >> It was halftime. No, it was pregame. >> I think it was pre me and Vinnie were.
out there. We missed the team prayer and. I found out that I miss a lot of these. prayers, I guess. And uh the reason why. I found that out is cuz me and Vinnie. and Overton are the only ones out there. The whole team was still in there. Ref's. going, "Hey, >> got a coin toss, bro.". >> Like, talk to [ __ ] Vinnie. He's been here. longer than me. I don't know what you're. talking about. Vinnie's like, "Oh, we. don't know where they are." And you guys. came sprinting out. Blessed, though. They came out running. Blessed. >> Guys, when. >> uh who played Texans, I think.
>> Yeah, I was in Houston. It was a. Thursday night game. Maybe we win. I. don't know. >> I think we won. >> But the prayer was from my understander. saying I was not in there. >> A coach or a player? Would it play or. was a player? >> It was a player. And. >> it was one of those where you know. >> given his testimony. >> You obviously have respect for for the. Lord. Of course you look. >> arrive at the point. Please. >> That's what time kickoff is. >> Land the prayer plane here. Please. There's no place we'd rather be. We pray. not the wind. God willing we shall.
Stay healthy. Them healthy. Go Colts. Amen. Jesus name. We're out. there. We're doing it. >> I wasn't in there for it, but I did hear. a couple different recaps. >> He He had a couple different stanzas. I. I think he wanted to dabble into a. couple different words of God from. different people. I don't know if that's. the time, but. >> did he get demoted next game. >> from prayer guy? >> Yeah. Usually coaches will yank that guy. out of the locker room. Yeah. Starts to.
get back up. >> He's never speaking yet. That was his. last speaking in front of a crowd again. >> He probably knew it. Took it back then. >> Last shot at this thing. I'm going at. least let Jesus know. >> Interesting story with that guy for the. rest of his life. >> Yeah. Unfortunate. >> Period. >> He's a [ __ ] great special teamer. though. Great special teamer. He liked praying more than everybody. else. Almost missed the whole [ __ ]. game. If there is a bad prayer that led to a.
fight after the Bills Rams game on. Monday night, we need to hear that. >> Yeah. >> Could you imagine if somebody sneaks in. and they're like a Satanist? >> Yeah. >> I got the prayer. >> What happened? >> I don't I'm not saying that's what. happened. >> I'm not putting that on anybody, but I'm. saying what would the situation be. during a prayer that could lead to a. fist fight? I think that would be it. >> Dear heavenly father, that doesn't. [ __ ] exist. Holy [ __ ] Then all of a. sudden you got a full that I guess that. would be the only way that that would.
happen. >> I don't know. >> Or you overtake him. Or someone's like. already give they start their prayer and. someone on the other team's like no. And. he just starts talking louder and louder. and getting going over top of it. What's. going on here? >> Oh, like you're playing seven up. You're. reading in class. >> All right, I got it from here, pal. Jesus ain't listening to you. >> Maybe. >> that could be it. >> I don't know. And maybe that's why the. twoame suspension was such a big deal. And I wonder who started. Chub start the. prayer and then took over and then Chub.
said, "Hey, >> this is my prayer. >> That's my prayer." And said, "Jesus. didn't like your prayer.". >> We don't know. We generally don't know. We We have no information on what. happened. >> We don't. >> That was really late for a fight to be. happening, though. People already got. their shoulder pads in the locker room. off. >> Oh, yeah. >> I can't believe I see this guy still out. here. Let me go ahead and give him one. >> Saw a couple guys getting water sprayed. in their mouth. Saw a lot of guys grabbing a bottle. themselves. >> Yeah, you are seeing a lot of guys grab. a bottle.
>> We got to keep pounding that home. Nobody needs to be squ You don't need to. be doing that. You're a [ __ ]. professional athlete, okay? These are. adult humans. You don't need to be. telling Squarey, please. Like my. daughter, okay? You don't need juice. boxes out there. Grab the [ __ ]. bottle, squirt it in your mouth. And I. am. And people don't like this. These. [ __ ] camera people don't like it. Get. the [ __ ] out of the tunnel. Get out of. there. I'm done with it. I am done with.
it. Cool shot. It's super lit on social. I agree. You know what else is super. cool? Matthew Stafford working his whole. [ __ ] life to run out on a Monday. Night Football out of the goddamn tunnel. to his teammates. I got to do that. twice. You know how big of an honor that. is? He got some guy running next to him. in the thing. Get the [ __ ] out of there. I it I was so mad just because I I feel. like that is a sacred thing. Like. running out of the tunnel is a sacred. thing and now they just got any person. just doing it with him. Like it's a lit.
shot. You know what else is a lit. [ __ ] shot? Them running out of. [ __ ] tunnel in the middle of their. stadium all by themsel which is what. people not a guy. >> That's what it is though. For real. It's. more of a. >> I lost I [ __ ] lost the sacred. >> Oh yeah. >> You guys I get worried. I get worried. they're going to they're gonna their. legs are going to get tripped up. Like. for real. Like they're not that far. away. >> I get so mad about it. >> Guys are athletes, man. >> Okay. >> I'm old man Yan Cloud and I got a bunch. of [ __ ] these camera people say, "You'll never have this shot." It's.
like, "Yeah, we don't deserve to have. it. You don't deserve to shoot it." If. Matthew Stafford wants to run with a. [ __ ] GoPro, like those guys that. squirrel dive off of cliffs, have them. do that. I a sick entire We're sitting. there literally watching the intros for. Monday night. Lucky to be out there. Thankful to be out there. I'm watching. this intro. Matthew Stafford's last. emotional. Who knows how many Mario's. got. Just got done kissing his kids. Monday Night Football against Josh. Allen. MVP verse MVP. He comes running. out places 60 to 70% field. They still.
go crazy. He's running. Can't even see. him from where I'm at cuz there's a guy. running right next to him through the. entire I'm like get the [ __ ] out. Who. says you're allowed to do you deserve to. run out of that [ __ ] thing? Well, we. do. I go. >> a darn. It's a lit shot though. It is a. lit shot. >> It's pretty disrespectful to the entire. thing that is happening there, which is. pretty ceremonial for all of ball, but. hey, >> lit shot. >> Have you seen the shots? >> So, I saw the one with the one I was.
pissed off about uh Chris Sale coming. out. Was that the one I was mad about? >> Yeah. Mhm. >> Guy's two feet behind him as if it is. him walking out to the [ __ ] mound. It's like, dude, this guy's worked his. entire [ __ ] life for this moment. Yeah. You I guess you just get to. experience it though because you work. for a company that paid billions of. dollars to do it. I guess. Yeah. But the. shot was sick. I will say it was a sick. shot. It was nasty shot for afterwards. But in the moment I'm thinking to myself. and everybody in the stands is thinking.
Chris's come and guy that we've never. [ __ ] seen before who has weird shorts. on is holding this [ __ ] thing. >> It ruins the shot. It ruins all the. other shots though too. Like we don't. just get Matt Stafford running out. Like. we get all of the above. >> Yeah. How about the live shot? Oh, well. the social shot afterwards is going to. be sick. It's like, well, what about the. [ __ ] real the actual shot? >> It's never the live shot. That's the. problem. Also, get the sky cam footage. Can we get a sky cam following him out. of the tunnel? >> I'm not backing off this. No matter how. many people call me an Everybody's.
calling me an [ __ ] right now, especially in that world, but no matter. how many people show me incredible lit. content, I still don't think you deserve. to be out there. I don't [ __ ] deserve. to be out there. I mean, definitely. don't deserve to be out there. >> to Monday Night Football. Gumpy, do you. have the clip? >> Yeah, I sent it in. >> right now. >> Yeah. >> You should see me. I mean, it's in real. Just know that it's real. Just know that. this isn't a gimmick that I'm putting. up. This is not a this is this is a real. thing. I got introduced out of a tunnel.
two times and I I I considered it like. the biggest honor that it was happening. So, just to see random [ __ ] just get a. chance to do it because they have a. camera in an armband. I I just I'm never. going to be Oh, it's sideways. God damn. it. >> I don't know. Can we turn that thing? >> We have you running out of time. I want. to see if this dude just sprinting. behind you. >> There isn't. I didn't [ __ ] with any of. those people. They didn't like me. anyways, you know. I didn't do that. Can.
we turn that? How does that thing? All right. >> Bruce just said there's no way. Can you. put this up at least so we can see what. it is that you're trying to fix here? >> Yeah. Well, I'll just look. >> Yeah. So, this is. >> All right. >> This is the. >> easy. >> Cardono. Come and say what's up. Me and. Jac hanging out. We get kicked off. Look. at me pointing at the guy running right. next to him. Get the [ __ ] off the. tunnel. Lit. Literally, you see him up. there. Go back. Can you go back a little. bit? I love it. >> Can you go back a little bit there? Get. the [ __ ] out of that thing. Look at this.
guy running right next to him. Can we. zoom in on that? Jeez, he's right. Yeah, he's right in the side of him. >> I'm so mad about it. Now granted, this. shot is not a good shot to say we don't. like the other shots that are happening. because we are looking at it sideways. But in real time, in real moment, I say. this guy's ruining Matthew Stafford. running out of Monday Night Football in. front of his home crowd. For how many. times they get to do that for the rest. of who knows? >> Not many more. Could be the last one. >> Well, at least here he goes. Here it is. Here it is. We got to figure it out. Look at him. The guy was actually in the.
camera. Go, go, go, go back to the. beginning. Go back to the very beginning. here of the runout. Can you zoom in up. there or no? Look at Look at that guy. He is the. Boom. He's Oh, the camera shot is the. camera man. That shot for the live. audience as he's running out. Can you. see it up there on the top? But yeah, >> go back to the beginning. We're looking. up at the top up here. >> Red red shorts or shirt. >> That [ __ ] guy is the shot. As if he's. the starting [ __ ] quarterback for the. Rams. >> It's a good run. Good open. >> Look at that arm swing.
>> Yeah. in chill. >> I mean, he got the run over. I mean, what did He's a very good cameraman. I. appreciate what he does for sport. There's no way he deserves to be. introduced to the Los Angeles Rams as if. he's the [ __ ] starting quarterback in. an MVP of an NFL. I mean, it's just in. real time who's getting intro. Oh, the. cameraman is okay. Thought it was a. quarterback of the NFL. Was literally. broken every bone in his body to get to. that point. Like, just a little respect, please. Immediately in real time, I was.
so mad. I'm looking at that thing and. now I'm gonna get every cameraman. telling me you don't get it. It's like I. do [ __ ] get it. Actually, I. understand that it's an honor to run out. there in front of a packed stadium. >> Can't. that got to mix up his pace, his tempo. He's got to sprint, slow down, sprint, slow down, and really mess. >> Boom. Die. >> Guy falls. Yeah. Bald ankle, broken. ankle. >> Never. He's the [ __ ] best in the. business. All right. [ __ ] is trying to.
replace him with the [ __ ] wire. >> No, Spanks. You guys are [ __ ]. >> Spanx is the best in the business. >> We know Spanx is the best in the. business. That guy stink. >> He shows up in every place that he's. earned his right to definitely be in or. whatever. And he might have been the one. that has kind of started this entire. thing. >> with me. And I will say that Chris Sail. shot super lit. It was a super lit shot. in social, but in real life, get the guy. the [ __ ] off the field. That was smart. kids starting it with you, too. >> What's up with me talking about. >> with your rent and then cutting to the.
shot? >> Yeah. I mean, these are clever little. content Steelers, you know? They're. doing stuff that they're not supposed to. do. Arriving in places they're not. supposed to be. But hey, they kind of. get the game, you know, and I like that. they're doing that. I certainly do. Super talented people. Just get the [ __ ]. You're You have not earned that. You. have not earned the right to be running. out of the [ __ ] tunnel with the MVP. of the NFL right now. What What What. makes you think that you have earned? I. I don't I'm the [ __ ] These people. are [ __ ] running out like they're a. goddamn MVP of the NFL. I I don't know. how I'm the bad guy. Chris Sale, legendary coming out to close a [ __ ].
playoff game. This guy first time. Yeah, I [ __ ] should be right here. What? I'm the [ __ ] I don't I don't think. so. I I I don't think once again though. >> Super lit lit shot. >> It was a lit shot. Super lit shot. In. real time, we're like, "Wow, is Chris. coming to pitch that [ __ ] guy?" Like, who you know, are they going to tag off. maybe? And is Matthew Stafford the. starting quarterback or is it that. [ __ ] in the red? >> They might send that guy for special. teams. >> How quick he was moving truly. >> He should cut and he wasn't even looking. where he was.
>> Yeah, exactly. >> This guy. Thanks. Who's coming in to. pitch? >> Oh, this guy and this guy right behind. I mean, he's a foot and a half behind. him. It's like super lit shot. Get the. [ __ ] off the field. Okay, this is a. historic moment in baseball. >> But hey, that's me old man on the clouds. and I appreciate the content. all the. good content. Thank you for covering. sports. Thank you for caring about. sports. I have a little respect for the. situations in sports though, I think. But that's just me. I'm a nothing.
But I get pissed. >> I get pissed. I So, >> you could find a much less intrusive way. to do this. >> I think so. Yeah. Cuz there's zoom in on. cameras, too, these. >> Well, they they should never ever be on. the TV shot. >> Exactly. I'm with you. because I like. they they used to do that for Monday. night football all the time and I guess. I I haven't paid close enough attention. or Sunday night football where the. quarterback runs out of the tunnel and. there's the guy in front of him usually. on some apparatus and you know he's.
filming him the whole way but you never. see that guy ever you know at least not. on the TV copy. >> This was a lit shot though from the guy. that's running like he's Chris Sale into. a game, you know. >> I'll take the ball. Ball's good, Chris. All right. >> Hey, we want better better coverage of. everything, though. No stone on. >> Do you have to prove that you can run. like sideways and hold a camera? Like, do you think they have training for that.
>> combine? >> Yeah. Camera combine every. >> I mean, it's only a matter of time for. one of these. >> Oh, yeah. >> For sure. Oh, yeah. >> Starting quarterback out. >> Oh, guy breaks his wrist or something. >> For sure. >> Imagine that guy run. He was pretty. fast. That was pretty impressive. That. That was pretty impressive. He trips, falls. Camera goes in front of Stafford. Stafford trips, falls, eats face right. there. Stafford out. Stson Bennett in. for Monday Night Football against Josh. Allen. >> How come that's ever talked about? >> They'd execute the cameraman if that.
happened. He was pretty close to the. like the side tunnel, too. Like that's. like the starting defense. >> Well, that and let alone cheerleaders. I. could have. >> Yeah. Yeah. >> He almost bang the bang. Everybody would. have thought it was choreography that. all their faces went whenever, you know, as they're running by, but really it was. just bang guy, bang guy, bang. Like, wow, look at the LA Rams cheerleader. They got pretty good sync. What's that? Oh, they're all unconscious. >> That's why it was such a good run, I. guess. I guess we should talk about how. good of a run that was.
>> Yeah. >> And super lit. I haven't seen that shot, but. >> we'll probably never see it because they. lost the game. >> Oh, yeah. So, did they lose because of. that? Nobody's asking these questions. Let's. get to a break. We'll ask the hard. questions. #journalism. Heard people are. pumped up about that. >> Hell yeah. >> We'll have to look into what it is. Is. it a piece of paper on the on the wall? >> I think so. >> Yeah, >> I think that's what it is.
>> H. >> I think. >> What if you just do the work? No, but. everybody is supposed to be. um like an investigative journalist, I. think. Right. Isn't there other forms of. journalism? I I don't know. >> We didn't go to school. We don't have. the paper on wall. >> There certainly is. >> Really? >> Yeah. >> Do you have to pick a category. >> or is it just an overarching we do the. journalism?
>> It's a good question. >> I do some journaling, too. I I don't. know if that adds in to help the case or. not. >> count. >> Foss didn't say that. Foss didn't say, "Well, he journals.". >> No, he didn't. >> Which he could have added in there. He. just said, "I think he has the heart of. a journalist." Because when he talks. about something, >> why you talking like that? Why you using. that tone? >> That was good. >> Cuz that's kind of how he was talking. He He was pretty monotone the entire. time. >> You're kind of right. >> I think he was trying to be Matter of. fact, I watched one of the clips and I I. I can't do this because he's speaking. very kindly about me and I appreciate.
that cuz that does not happen. That's a. very abnormal thing that happens in. those spaces. Um, there wasn't a lot of. follow-up questions either from the uh. interviewer and it was impossible to. find a stream with these people that are. super smart with sports media business. So, there's a lot of things that kind of. work against it, but I do appreciate. Foss complimenting our operation and. complimenting what I got going on and. saying what he's saying. And him saying. that he he thinks that I have a heart of. a journalist is really really got these. journalists up in arms. >> Well, in the US there is no license or. degree requirement. Uh there is no.
single according to clock it's no single. definition most people point out to what. someone does rather than a credential. gathering information checking it and. sharing with the public in the public. interest that usually means reporting. rather than just commenting and. following the norms like accuracy. sourcing fairness and correcting. mistakes. >> Fairness is in there for journalists. >> Yeah. Mhm. >> Correcting mistakes. >> Accuracy sourcing. >> Fairness sourcees. >> We try our best to just get good. information. We've been wrong. These. journalists have never been wrong.
before. Aren't they all doctors in 2020? >> Yeah. >> Let's get to a break. Be a friend. Tell. a friend something nice might change. your life. We got all the headlines on. the other side. See you then. Goodbye. >> Yeah. If he throws you a curveball, you're in trouble. >> That breaking ball. Good luck. It's It's. pretty nasty. >> Think he's going to make contact? >> No. If I were you, I would just start. swinging as you listen. >> You think I make contact? >> I can barely make contact against.
>> fight a bingo 25 grand. Extra base hit. 15,000. If you walk me, $10,500. donation. Strike out 10,000. A hit is. just $10,000. Ball contact $5,000. donation. Hit by pitch that's an extra. 5,000. Strike is a thousand obviously. and then every ball will be a donation. by the pitcher as well. SK said that if.
he was pitching against me, he throw one. behind me. >> I've had a lot of votes to get you in. the ribs. A lot of. >> You can get in there and look at one if. you want. Get used to it. >> Is this the one you're going to put in. my ribs? >> Nope. You're not. Don't swing at this. one. Don't swing. >> All right. I won't. >> Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. >> I thought I was going to burn my feet. >> Rookie of the year. Get a little closer. Just got a cramp in my left chest. >> All right. No balls, no strikes.
>> Yeah. Okay. What the [ __ ] was that? What the [ __ ] was that? I like that you let it go though. >> Yeah, first one. >> Yeah, I like it.
>> Oh, foul tip. >> Foul tip. Oh, where'd you go, Pat? Where'd you go?
>> What was that? >> That was purple. That was a strike. >> That was right there. Hey, thank you for. your donation. >> Kershaw's challenge is forever grateful. >> So, what was that? Did you get too fast? >> Fast pass. >> Oh, where'd you go?
>> Hey, what else do you have? >> I have a slider. >> [ __ ]. >> This is guy number two. >> I have bad guy number two. >> Yeah, I got a different attitude. This. guy. >> Okay. I don't like what you're doing with the. strikes though. >> You're on it.
Oh, fell off.
Foul ball. You got me though there, right? >> Yeah. >> Contact. Okay. >> Yeah. I will put on my Twitter bio. Made contact. >> What's your drone? >> This will be his curve, right? That's all I got right there. >> Yeah, I saw it.
>> Hey, fast ball away. All right, >> over here. >> Maybe. I mean, you never know, but I'm. going to try. Fast ball away. I think I got it. I think I got it. I.
think I got it. I think I got it. That was good. >> Did that hurt? >> Yeah. >> Thank you, dude. >> We'll count that as a single. Infield. single.
>> Hey, I got a ghost runner there. He's. fast. Overthrow first. He's on second. >> Okay. I got it.
Hey, good work, dude. That was awesome. >> I knew the curve was coming right there. >> You did? Yeah. >> How'd you know? >> Uh, just because I thought cuz I made. contact. >> Oh, yeah. You read my mind. >> All right, let's [ __ ] make a one. Yeah, >> you got it. >> You told me fast ball away. >> Yeah, it cut in a little. You got Jiren, but contact. >> like I was aiming away through a two.
seamer and it's supposed to kind of run, but it kind of ran the other way. >> I didn't think about the punch out. pitch. Like, I was sitting there. I'm. like, he's he's up 02. You're definitely. going to hit me with something. >> Oh, where'd you go? >> Good. Catcher. Got you there. >> I think I got on base. >> That's an infield single. You know it. You had You had enough though. >> Did you see his face? He said, I don't. know. >> You don't know about. >> That's real. He said. >> Mookie's good short stop from what I.
remember. I'll give you one hit. Give. you one hit, one foul ball. And then uh. I did catch. Does that count? Does that. call your foul ball? catch definitely. counts as a twofer there. >> Okay. There's a few swing and misses. >> A lot of swinging misses. >> So yeah, you just you just let me know. >> We appreciate you being a great. American. Good luck. >> Thank you. >> Hey, no, there's no way I'm going to be. able to throw enough strikes. >> All right. >> Thank you, dude. >> You're the best. >> That was great, man.
All right. All right. Great to be back. down in Louisiana hot as hell. Left a. hotel, head to the production meeting. Ran into a kid named Hadley. Hadley's. first semester on campus. He's uh having. a good time. There's me and old Foso at. the production meeting. Matt Garrett. telling that good stuff. Setting it all. up. Call from the governor. Yep. Okay.
How you doing, governor? I'm going to go. golf. I don't have a show this afternoon. at production meeting. Let's do a little. whale. Nice little draw around the. fairway and then let's bury a putt here. to break some hearts at the very end. There's the governor Jeff Landry. bringing me cigars he wanted to bring me. which he called me from before. Uh those. go down there. Yeah. Go get a hunt down. there. Okay. And go down cuz he even. approves of these ones. Shout out to. Louisiana for being so damn hospitable. Obviously, Coach Sabin who's a coach. down there won a national championship. Here's a little production dinner with. the squad. Great to have everybody back.
All right, let's go to bed. Let's wake. up. Uh, hey Pety, good boy. Pety's a. good boy. Good to see him. Obviously, as. we prepare for the morning, you know, chitchat with my daughter. Hey, pretty. girl. Dad's about to go on TV and start. yelling in front of people. I hope you. enjoy it. Coach Sabin had no idea Dumpy. was filming him here. I think he would. have said something hello if you saw. him. Maybe next time. What a crowd. These folks showed up early and loud. Bruce for a million. No thank you. No. thank you. Shout out to Home Depot and. shout out to Bruce signing up for that.
There's a sweat stain. Uh Wu Tang Clan. ain't nothing to [ __ ] with. That's what. they say. It was hot. It was thick. Laney Wilson. She can't sit still. She was great. Great to see her and. everybody else at LSU got a chance to go. on the field. Obviously got pregame. Thank you for your service. Thank you. for your service. Thank you for your. service. Death Valley was filling up. And then right before kickoff, it was. packed. It was a movie. Actually, Dez, Joey, Reese, and I on the kickoff show. having a blast. music was a jaman. There's Joe running behind me taking. care of me. I appreciate that, Lane. I.
mean, what else do you really have to. say? The center of every story line, including on that particular field that. evening where they went absolutely. crazy against Clemson. I thought they. were going to win by 50, ended up being. 41. And they were even dunking on folks. Lane Keifin era starts good. Davo is not. great. How will the rest of college ball. turn out? We start tomorrow in Texas. Hey, let's go. >> This show sticks and the fact that you.
listen, we are very, very thankful for. on the line with a gorgeous assist. >> The alltime leading tackler for the. Green Bay Packers. You pick. >> stutter. Damn it. >> Your friend, tell a friend something. nice could change their life. Hello beautiful people. 2002 something like that and it sits on. top. Welcome back to our humble about.
DraftKings Thunderdome. Hour three of. this program begins right now. >> Football is the absolute greatest. And. what you heard me there doing that's AJ. Hawk, college football national. champion, Super Bowl champion, Ryder Cup. winner, Ohio State Hall of Famer. He has. a tree on campus. It's right next to. somebody else's tree. Uh. >> yeah. Uh, Mr. >> Dmer, >> no, I don't think he's Chris. >> Dmer didn't get one. No, he was not no. American. >> Uh, that's talks the table at Boston. Connor and at Tai Schmidt, nine-year NFL. vet at Darius J. Butler is here. 12-year.
NFL veteran AQ Shipley, who is Penn. Stater. Uh, AJ Hawk, Ohio stater. Right. before we went live, AQ looked at me and. he said, "What's the best environment in. the South that you've seen for college. football?" And it was hard. It was. really hard. LSU whenever we were down. there uh for Lane Keifin with Clemson. coming to town that was like a four like. a hour and a half two hour delay but. during the day it was like four hour. torrential downpour in Baton Rouge and. that place filled up at 9:00 at night or. whatever it was 10 o'clock Eastern and.
it was spectac I mean it was everything. that they made it up to be the light. controls I think any place that has the. ability to turn the lights off. completely and then turn them back on. and then do [ __ ] I think they have a. good environment. Miss was able to do. the exact same. It was smaller though. You could tell it wasn't over 100,000. people. It looked smaller than Tennessee. was in the afternoon. So, I think it was. good for as good as it could possibly. be. Alabama though there for that. Georgia game that we were just at. I. mean, their fans were cheering for like.
everything. Like ball gets caught cheer. like gain of two. Let's Let's do a. little uh screen. Let's do a screen. Huh? Ball snaps successfully. They're. cheering. Ball gets dropped off to. somebody for two yards. They're. cheering. He gets tackled for like a one. yard gain. Kind of just kind of quiet. Then next step happens, guy catches the. ball three yards, they cheer. He picks. up another two yards. Cheer. Like. they're cheering for like everything and. they have 102,000. and it's not a bowl. It's that [ __ ] sits.
up a little bit. So I know because we. were there with Coach Sabin and we're. tight with the Sabins, people naturally. think I'm biased, but this one felt the. biggest. Gumpy, do you agree with that. with how it was set up? It's on top of. you. I I don't think I've ever seen a. hundred some thousand that are like. straight up. It's usually more of a bowl. type atmosphere, right, Gums? >> Yeah. It was so loud and even for the. kickoff, you could tell like it was. bananas right off the hop and it. continued the whole time. When they. scored before halftime on the last play. of the half, that place went mental.
>> Yeah, it's I would say right now that. that was the best environment, but that. was for the number one overall ranking. >> That was Georgia coming to town. and it. was the biggest game, but I just think. the sustained ah was different than what. I've seen and it's built for noise. A. AJ, how you guys only play at noon it. feels like all your big games so we. don't even get a chance to really see. Ohio State at night. That place loud. consistently loud. Little different. build though, right? Little different. build as it goes out and up. >> Yeah, it's not as it's not really out.
It's I mean it was built like early. 1900s I believe but like it goes up. pretty far but it's a horseshoe so the. the one end was open for years and it's. still not completely closed in. They. still keep it like uh you know it's. permanent stands now but you know it. gets it gets very loud the old concrete. you know stadium goes straight up. Penn. State is complet like an erector set. straight up just a billion people right. on top of you. >> Yeah. Ohio State loud even for the day. games that we go to over there. Michigan. not as loud as you think but. >> that one goes out. That one goes out. It's dug down into the into the earth.
and it goes out much more. >> And I don't think that's the Michigan. fans fault. Like I think they are loud. I I think if they were built more in a. stadium that like kept the noise in, it. would be louder. But that thing's almost. built to let noise out and it's still. huge. Penn State, we were there for that. white out against Oregon last year and I. think if Penn State would have given. them more to cheer, that place was loud, too. >> Super loud. Oh, northern stadiums seem. to be built a little bit, you know, little. >> Well, and that's what makes Seattle so. loud in the NFL, right? Because it's.
straight up and down. There's two walls. that just kind of enclose it. So, everything comes down, right? But like. Iowa's got a sneaky loud stadium. I. don't know if you've done it. >> And how many is it like 60,000 or so? >> No, it's like 75 80 probably now at this. point. >> But the fans, >> it's big. It looks great. >> It's they The fans are right on top of. the sidelines. Like right on top. >> Got it. Yeah. Yeah, the 100,000 plus. things. >> was pretty sick. Super windy that day. But that that they're all on the same. page, too. >> Yeah, >> that thing is all locked in.
>> A lot of good. It's hard to just say. what is best. >> cuz what are you looking for? >> Like LSU had it if you're looking for it. and they dominated so the place was. pretty celebratory. But third, fourth. quarter because it was already midnight. didn't seem to have as much juice. because it was delayed. So I didn't get. to experience that. Sure. Old Miss was. crazy. Miss was. >> Tennessee looked wild. Tennessee, they. got in there at 9:00 am. They were. moving in there early. It's over. 105,000, I think, is is the number. >> That used to be the I mean, I think AJ, right? Like whenever we played, I think. Tennessee was. >> considered. >> the the the largest stadium. Yeah, I.
think so. Neland Stadium, I think it's. called. >> Yeah. Eighth largest in the world is the. size uh is the actual stat I think now. for Ne down there. >> A lot of great environments. College, that's what college football is. >> Northwestern now, their new stadium. >> How many have they got? I think it's. only like 45,000, but the way it's. built, it it makes it look massive. >> So, it's like an MLS stadium. >> They compared it to like Mercedes-Benz. where there's no bad seats in the entire.
stadium, like every single seat looks. great, but it's not like built for. capacity. >> I wonder how many people are in there. Cuz if you're building a stadium for. what your fans will actually fill up, I. like that. I think that's a common sense. decision, which I appreciate. Um, >> Mercedes-Benz is big. I think it's what. 60 70. >> Mercedes Benz. >> I think 60. >> that was loud we called that peach bowl. >> 71 in Mercedes that was loud. >> that was loud. >> that was probably the loudest we had. been. >> yeah that was and for that to be like a. neutral like not a home not a Bama or.
like the home that was very very loud. >> first place uh first play pick six for. the fans that had 98% attendance in that. building that was loud all these places. get Mercedes. >> you ever play in the old Minnesota dome. back in the day. >> oh yeah place you got to walk up 50. flights of stairs to get to the field. and it was super loud in there. >> Yeah. And they were pretty good. I mean. like I remember when we were in school. they had that really good center Greg. Esland drone if you remember that name. at all. But um. >> you know they were they were they were a. good football team so it's not like you. walked in there and it was dead like.
when you were playing Northwestern it. was I mean there was nobody there. They. weren't very good. Now Northwestern's. pretty electric. >> Brand new Northwestern. Who's the head. coach of that team? >> Chip. David Braun. Chip's grinding the. show. >> No he's not. That that is every time we. talk about it on game day gets brought. up. what Chip and Northwestern are doing. is awesome. I'm like, he's not the head. coach right now. And then I immediately. go, who is the head coach? And it's. like, nobody knows. Actually, I'm not. the only one asking that question. >> Wait, is not Chip Kelly? >> No, he's I would have bet a million. dollar.
No, >> for sure. >> No, he's just the OC man. That's why he. gets a chance to go back to the Model T. offenses that he's been diving into. >> Jeez. >> Brand new stadium, 850 million into that. stadium. Electrifying atmosphere. I. think they have money going into the. team and they got Chip Kelly as the. offensive coordinator. That is the that. is the re-imagining of Northwestern I do. believe. But they had him with his hard. hat on with his little vest. >> That's what I remember. >> Mhm. The head coach of the Northwestern. football team is. >> Is it David Braun? Is that is David his.
first name? >> Uh David Braun. >> Yeah. Okay. See, >> spot on. >> The position is the Dan and Susan Jones. family head football coach. >> I knew that. >> Like Chris Pickle. And all of. Northwestern is thanking Dan and Susan. Jones and their family for that brand. new stadium and a football team. That is. kind of back. Northwestern making a. college football playoff would be. hysterical with 24 teams. It's certainly. possible. >> It's possible this year if they if they. run the table like they could be one of. those other teams in the Big 10 that.
gets in. >> And I would assume that I mean I'd never. been to the old Northwestern stadium, but like you said, no one shows up. It's. just likeough, >> you know, they they might play you a. little closer, but you're always winning. by probably 21. Like I. >> I I think teams going into there this. year like are kind of a little bit. gobmacked at how different it is. >> Northwestern has Michigan State, Ruckers, Oregon, Iowa, Ohio State, Minnesota, and Illinois. >> That's a tough stretch, but you know, I. mean, if they if they lose to Ohio State.
and beat everybody else, >> they beat they're good. >> They can they can beat Oregon. >> Good afternoon, >> for sure. anybody. >> That's a whole another conversation, too. >> The hell's going on up there? >> You know, what what is going on with. Oregon? Is it just two coordinators. trying to find their way? Is it players. getting comfortable? Because they had a. lot of guys coming back. It's like, is. that a good thing now or a bad thing. now? Are you too content? Are you not. great? Are you hard to focus on the big. games? Because you've had so many in the. past. It's like Oregon is a story that's.
going to be talked about in this modern. NIO world. For the amount of money. invested, for how good we think the. coach is at recruiting, for how good we. think the coach is at coaching, for how. good we thought the quarterback was. going to be coming into the year, for. how bad they have played to the start of. this season is going to be a combo that. lingers into the offseason for sure. >> Oh yeah, absolutely. I mean, you think. about the quarterback. been starting for the New York Jets. right now. He came back. >> for this. I mean, you got to figure it. out. But on that highlight, you UCLA.
like what they're doing too. We talking. about Northwest and these other teams in. the Big 10 like what they're doing. And. I saw a little clip of their coach I. guess pregame in the tunnel. Little. pregame speech like basically burn the. boats type of speech. You know, we're. not big pregame speech guys, but it was. it was a good. >> Kirby got me pretty good. I was watching. the hand that was holding Kirby uh after. you get through the prayer obviously. Uh. Kirby will get me going. Oh yeah. I if I. hear one every couple years I think it. could get me riled up. Yeah, his was. pretty good. >> Peter burns. >> Yeah, >> I don't want to um give too much away.
about speeches. >> Peter Berg gives one in mosquito bull. >> as his. >> part of it was in the trailer. >> A huge part of it in the newest trailer. >> Yeah. I I don't know what his title will. be. I don't know if he's a first. sergeant or a sergeant or whatever he. will be in the Marines, but he gives a. speech in a movie that I I was not there. whenever it was filmed. I watch it later. and I'm like, it's [ __ ] Winston. Church. I mean, it was I think that. movie is going to be very good. very. very lucky and thankful to be a part of. that. Gonna see it for the first time. next week. >> Oh, nice.
>> Yeah. >> When's it drop? >> October. >> 20. >> something. Yep. >> Late October. >> Yeah. Yeah, I think so. Uh October 30th. >> It's in theaters. October 30th. All. right. >> Phenomenal story about college football, America, our history, what it was really. like. And then Peter Berg kind of. putting his brain onto all of it as a uh. wrote the movie off of the mo uh the. book of the mosquito bowl. Buzz. Bizinger, who also wrote Friday Night.
Lights, who Peter Berg worked with. But. Peter Berg writes, you know, script, directs it, he's in it. and the lads. that he uh had in this movie from. Nicholson to Scar Guard to Goutine to. Tom Francis. I mean these dudes top of. the line all in too. All in. Before I. was heading over there to film it, I was. following I think it was Tom Francis. Phenomenal talent. Wildly handsome. I. think he posted on his Instagram story. I like found him. I didn't hadn't met. him yet. And it was like first day.
filming a Peter Berg movie and it's just. he had bruises all over his entire body. I mean, he had cuts on the other side. It's like Peter tries to show as much. respect to what it was actually like in. every one of his movies from Lone. Survivor to all the other things that he. has done. And uh I think I think from my. understanding, from what I'm hearing, they really this movie is uh is a great. one. Honored to be a part of it. Should. not have been my first big- time acting. trying to depict a drill instructor of. the Marine Corps, which is obviously the. baddest human of all time from the.
greatest generation of all time here. with World War II. That's a tall task. I. tried my absolute best. went down to. Paris Island, tried to learn, try to buy. in, try to represent, and uh yeah, it. was it was an honor to be a part of. I. can't wait for people to see it. Feels. like so long ago. That's the difference. between this world and then our world. It's like trying to recall and remember. the things that are happening while also. still being excited about it for the. last year and a half. It's all come to a. head what, next week? Two weeks. >> Yeah, two weeks.
>> I can't wait to see it. >> Yeah, I'm very excited to see this. Yeah, they're showing it, I believe, to. um 300 Marines today, I think. And then. there's uh a bunch of showings happening. all the way up until next Thursday is. the premiere in LA. And then I think. there's more from there. So, they really. like it. And Netflix wanted this to go. to film or to theaters because they. thought it would be a great experience. And Ted Sarandis, who was attacked uh at. the Oscars last year, I think, for. ruining the movie theater, he's like,
"That's a Whoa, whoa. They're just. trying to So he's going to the theater. I don't know if you're going to see more. of that, but they love the movie. So. that should be fun. Tulsa King. >> Yeah, it starts very soon here, too. >> Coming out in a few. Hex coming out in a. few. >> Mhm. >> You know, a lot of people getting really. >> voiceover stuff. How How's voiceover. stuff? That's got to be sweet. >> The Hexed Rat came together very. quickly. I mean, that was within the. last few weeks. Yeah. >> Like, hey, we need somebody for this. character. Anybody got anybody? Uh, maybe Mfield do it. Uh, I think the rat. had a different name and they're like, Rat Mack, that'd be great. And then they. uh asked me to do it. I did it right.
here. Lit literally did it right here. They were on a Zoom call on the wall. Uh. director, Disney head, there was a bunch. of people on this Zoom call. And it's. funny because I don't know anything. about the movie. I didn't know the movie. was coming out. I know at the time I. didn't know anything about the movie. There's Rat McAfee. And I'll tell you, I. don't want to give too much away. I. think he does jump off of a building. >> Okay. >> Okay. Now, how high was the building? Well, they said that's on you. you know, they're like, uh, however long you. decide or whatever. So, the first one I.
go. as long as I can and then I hit the. ground and then I walk ahead and they're. like, all right, shorter building. Like, sorry, sorry. You know, I didn't. know what we wanted or whatever. But all. these things are just little quick bits. getting a chance to learn about their. business. I'm honored to do it all. But. the voiceover for Hex was cool. Very. blind, though. I I didn't know anything. in listening them describe the scene. So, I I don't know if this is how it. normally is for voice-over acting or.
whatever. Listening to them describe. like, uh, okay, you got 10 other animals. around you. You're popping out of a a. tube or out of a pipe or whatever and. you got 10 other animals and you're. basically telling them everybody needs. the coast is clear and everything's okay. and then somebody's coming in. It's like. listening to them try to talk to me and. describe to me what's happening and then. me non- thespian try to be like, "All. right, well, how would I if I was a. [ __ ] rat act right here?" So, I have. some follow-up questions cuz I think. that is important. I go, "What type of. animals, you know, are these?" Because. I'm a rat. What type of animals are.
these? How are they? Are they in a good. mood or in a bad mood? Are they pretty. defiant? Like, am I a leader? Like, what. is the situation? And they they. literally have answers for all of it. because I think that is a pretty. important part. >> of the entire voiceover thing. So, it. was an honor to be a part of that. My. daughter watches a lot of animated. movies at this stage. She's three uh in. like five months or whatever, three. years old. So, she's in it. She loves. Disney. So this opportunity was more. than anybody can imagine. Whenever she. watches, she's kind of found out, you. know, because it's been talked about. So. she kind of knows what to expect, but.
she doesn't. But I think as she's. watching Hex, which is about witches and. wizards, I do believe, and some magic, and it's a Disney animation movie, so. it's going to be. >> awesome. >> Great. It's going to be absolutely. great. >> The moment where she hears my voice is. going to be a cool that's going to be a. pretty cool moment here. And I. >> I love that girl so much. And then Tulsa. King, not a lot. There's not I'm not in. there a lot. Like a lot of people I got. some messages from people that hate me. say thanks for ruining [ __ ] toss case my. favorite you know and I'm like I'm not. I'm not in there a lot that I am not in.
there a lot. I think that was another. one where they needed somebody. Hey yeah. sure we'll give it a go and see what it. is like. And I think they would have. kicked me out if it was not great. That. is a proper set down there. Slice alone. proper star. That is a highly finely. tuned machine. that Tulsa King, they are. a family. They've been together for a. long time. The sets are immaculate. The. everything from it was so professional. It it was like I've had a chance to. experience the acting world, which I.
never had plans to do as such. I think I. did say at one point I wanted to be an. actor when I was in college, but now. with this world that we're in, it's like. I I don't I don't know if I'm the right. person to be doing that. Ari Emanuel, head of TKO, also head of WWE when I was. in WWE. I think he was the one who had. an idea. Hey, I I think you know we got. an avenue for you. He's the one who. presented the idea to me. Peter Berg. movie being the first thing is just an. absurd thing. I try to kill it all. I. don't think you're going to get used to. seeing me in acting stuff though. Out of.
respect for the acting because it's a. lot of time. It's a lot of time on set. It's a lot of time remembering. It's a. lot of time analyzing what you should be. like. And for somebody that has a daily. show and then also has a chance to be a. part of college game day and Monday. Night Countdown, which is an honor of a. lifetime, and it is a lot of football a. lot of the time, but it also calls for. like me to know what the [ __ ] going. on. So for that, I got to really dive. in. So for all the other stuff, I did. feel like I was kind of disrespectful to.
what was happening while having a. full-time job and the other actors, which I never wanted to be. But. everybody was so welcoming, everybody. was so kind, and uh no flubs. Send it. >> Okay. No flips. >> Hell yeah. >> That mosquito bowl was [ __ ] crazy. Go. down to Paris Island, try to learn as. much as possible. Tom Cruz breaks down. what acting is. Do you remember that? >> Oh, yeah. Yep. >> That was like a month before filming, Tom Cruz comes on the show to promote. Mission Impossible, I think. >> Yep. >> And after we go off air,
>> I go, "Hey, a f, let's say a friend of. mine is going to be in a [ __ ]. Peterberg Netflix World War II movie. Okay, it's going to be pretty big." What. would you tell that person if it was. their first time acting? And he goes, "Is this his friend you?" And I go, "Yes." And he goes, "Doesn't blink.". What was it like seven minutes at least? >> You need to go train with the dis eyes. You need to go down to Paris Island. You. need to learn what it is. And whenever. you get in there, pick up the. mannerisms, pick up the thing, do and. then when you get on set, you'll just. be. Okay? So all the all the work is in. the preparation. Then whenever you're on.
set, you just be. I'm like, "Thank you. so much, Tom." And he said, "Good luck.". And then gets up and leaves. It was like. out of a movie or whatever. So I go down. to Paris Island literally the next. weekend. I try to learn as much as. possible. First Sergeant Gartland, who I. went to high school, who was a DI for. eight years, call him immediately. Hey, I I need everything you got. He's. actually in the movie now. >> His voice was in the newest trailer. Yeah, >> he's in the movie. Uh, which is awesome. I'm so happy for him, especially because. how big of a badass he is, how kind he. was to me, but also he was the plug to a. lot of things for me to learn what the. hell a DI is supposed to be, cuz he was.
eight-year DI at Paris Island, which is. I don't know how you do it. I I He's a. mad man. But that is who you're trying. to be as a DI is like this person. >> So first scene in Australia. This is. what two weeks before football season. starts. >> Yeah. >> Like hey, need you to go to Australia. for 11 days. It's like, >> yeah, right. I can't [ __ ] do that. This is football season. I like we'll. get you back before football season. The. travel takes a certain amount of days. and then we we're going to have to. you're in multiple things now. We're. going to have to do this. And I go, it's.
an honor. Thank you. I'll do it. I go. down there. I was not thrilled that I. was doing it. I thought I was not going. to do good. I thought I was going to. disrespect the Marine Corps and also I'm. [ __ ] up my day job not knowing. football for 10 days going into football. season and Australia's the other side of. the world. First scene I'm in. is I mean it's [ __ ] me. It is. Hey, you got like a seven minute monologue. here where you got to go and talk to six. different there's 90 guys that are. recruits that are showing up at Paris. Island and I'm the head DI in front of.
them. So, these [ __ ] are pulling in. on trucks that that uh truck that you. saw in the trailer. There's three of. them. They come rolling. They they got a. an entire train station in Australia. that they've shut down and turned into. Paris Island. They got I don't know how. many millions of dollars worth of. cameras on either side. Peter Berg's. over here. An entire set, an entire. crew. And I'm just standing at the end. of this tunnel. Basically, this massive. thing with all these different cameras. Three trucks are rolling in filled with. actors, people that have been working.
their ass off in Australia for three. months to make this movie. All the. camera people, badasses, moving. everywhere. So much money invested into. the scene. And I'm standing at the end. of it just [ __ ] waiting for these. three trucks of people come around. Cameras start sliding and moving. Lights. start going in. And I'm standing there. like, man, Tom Cruz said just be, you. know, and I'm like, what I think I'm. about to be is a man with a little bit. of [ __ ] in my pants. These guys, from my. understanding, were making a great. movie. Like when I got there, the vibes. were very high about the movie they were.
piecing together. And this entire. [ __ ] thing is I mean this is. literally on me. First time I got a. chance to really feel like the like. right before going out the punt or right. before like hey have to perform here. like this is what it is. So it felt. really good to get to do that. And uh I. don't think I wasted any time or money. or anybody's uh energy through that. thing. But that was a big deal for me is. I can't [ __ ] up. I can't be the reason. why they're sending three trucks back, resetting 10 cameras. Especially we got.
uh Shakespearean trained thespians. I. think all these actors were like. Scarsgard, >> Nicholson's kid. >> Yeah. >> Tom Francis Goutsy. These guys are all. like super duper actors. Not just like, "Hey, I act for a living." They're like. the superest of actors. From my. understanding, there was a little bit of. a disagreement on me being casted as the. guy uh who's never acted before by some. of their agents potentially. Some of. their agents are like, "So, let me get. this straight.
Sports guy from America is the DI who's. yelling at our guys for. three hours on set as we take a break. from everything else to shoot this." And. Peter Berg had my back the entire time. He's right for it. He's right for it. And Peter coached my ass up. He is um. he's a gem. He's an angel. I'm very. thankful for the opportunity and I hope. I don't suck in this movie because I've. heard the movie is incredible. Now, I've. gotten texts from people that said uh. they didn't even know it was me, which I. think is what's supposed to happen in. this, >> but I see the trailer and I see my.
[ __ ] big dumb head and I go, I know. it's me, bro. I know it's me. And uh the. acting world is crazy. It's been cool to. do. Whole different part of your brain, AJ. Like, you guys had to memorize plays. and [ __ ]. >> so I guess that is a part of your guys'. life. >> No, people think it's easy. I think. people think acting is easy. I think it. seems daunting to try that. >> It was daunting. That is a good That is. the good way for how I felt probably. standing at the end of that thing as. they're setting up all this [ __ ] just. for me basically. And it's like.
>> it's my first time [ __ ] doing this. Here we go. And I think it was seven and. a half minutes as I just walked through. And then we had we did that 30 times and. they were from the top. And then as I'm. doing it, Peter Berg has like a little. microphone and he goes, "Try fif faux f". on the next guy. So like as I'm doing it. on this one, Scarsgard was tall. So what. I was going to go over to him is talk. about how big he was because he's a. football guy. As I'm doing it to one. guy, Peter Berg's talking about me to. for the next line to do this one. So I.
go over and as I get to him, Fifi, and. it's like, okay, I think I'm proving my. chops here a little bit. But I was. scrambled the whole [ __ ] time. And. Peter, fun fun fact, I'm supposed to go. talk to these guys. And the way I memorized it was like this. one, this line will lead me to this. line. This line will lead me to this. line. This line will lead me to this. line. And I studied my ass off. Four. weeks, probably three, four weeks, which. is the amount of time I had to not [ __ ]. it up. When it gets there, let's start. with the third guy. Let's go to the.
second guy, wrap it up with the first. guy. >> Then we'll go to the seventh guy. And I. go, oh no. Oh, no. But you have to act. as if literally you're acting in there. It was like, Peter, that's a lot of the. brain found it. Thank God. And he walked. me through it as did all the actors. I. think that movie is going to be a good. depiction of America and Americans at. their absolute best. And signing up for. something much bigger than them whenever. they didn't have to in our history of. what we've done to help this world. I. think Mosquito Bowl is going to remind a. lot of people that America maybe not the.
worst place on earth. You know, a lot of. things have had to happen for us to get. here. And there's a lot of incredible. humans who have sacrificed a lot for our. country. And I think the mosquito bowl. will showcase that. And I'm honored to. be a part of it. >> Oh yeah. >> And uh if I suck, just don't tell me. >> I don't think they probably cut you out. I. >> was going to say your role would have. been cut down big time if you would have. sucked. >> Wouldn't be in the trailer. >> So the Tulsa King people uh when I was. down there, they're so cool. That that. is a cool group of people. That is a. cool group of people. Sly obviously.
leads that entire thing. Watching him. work is crazy. But I thanked them a. couple times for allowing me the. opportunity to do this and every one of. them were like, "Hey bud, don't worry. You [ __ ] this up. We will not just. This is not like a make a wish.". >> Yeah. Right. Exactly. >> I'm like, "All right, all right. All. right, all right, all right. You got it. You got it. You got it." Like, uh, so me. getting dropped in the deep end with the. incredibly talented people that I did. and how kind they were, um, I'm very. grateful for, but I don't think this is. going to become a new norm. I don't I. don't think this is going to become a. new norm. They were talking about um me. potentially trying to get a new role. because Ari talked about it whenever.
Roll the Calls promotion and everything. like that. It's like that movie uh. decision was made. Yeah, right. I should. not be having four full-time jobs and. then getting into something that. incredible. But at one point that was. talked about. So I I think it is real, but like yeah, right. I should not be. doing that until I have time. Until I. have time to focus on it. I loved the. process. I love doing it. But it all. takes a lot of time and a lot of mental. energy and capacity. And uh I can't wait. to see how it all comes out. I can't.
wait. Hex was crazy though. That was a. wild thing. Hey, you got 20 minutes. tomorrow? >> Yeah. All right. You want to be a rat in. a Disney animation movie? >> Sure, >> I guess. Where am I? Do I have to fly. anywhere? Nah, let's just do a. Thunderdome. Do it via Zoom call. Sick. >> Perfect. >> All right. Do I get the lines? Ah, they're working on those right now. So, I got I got lines like 20 minutes before. I went live on that thing. Wasn't a lot. of lines. So, it's not that big of a. deal, but it is I'm happy the old brain. still works with the memory thing. because it felt like I was back in.
school. And every game day it feels like. that too where I need to get Sacramento. Tone. Let's go to Hammer. >> Tone as we go through what I need for uh. reviews for college game day each week. Need a Sacramento State update. Okay. I. can't have these group of six people. coming after me. I I uh and to be clear, I was the last one in on the Superdogs. pick. So, a lot of picks were already. taken. >> Figured. >> So, like the only one I really saw was. [ __ ] Sacramento State will do it for. me. I needed it. >> And I shouldn't have said what I said.
about not knowing anything about them. >> I should have said these guys are. probably going to get smacked. Seems. like they get smacked every [ __ ]. week, but hopefully they don't do it. this week. Uh but instead, I said I. don't know anything about these guys. Then that was me telling gamblers who. potentially follow me, hey, >> this is not like a calculated pick here. This is, but I need to start learning. more. As somebody who is a massive lucky. enough to be a massive piece of college. football, I do need to learn more about. them. So, let's maybe start adding that. into the conversations throughout the. week and such. >> Okay. Yeah. Yeah. If I I mean, SAK State.
first uh year um in the FBS uh they are. part of Maction uh up in Sacramento. And. to be a part of Maction, they actually. had to pay for all the away teams to. come play at their stadium this year. So, there's a fun fact. >> Okay, that's a good piece of. information. >> Now, we know more. Let's continue to do. that throughout the year. Let's do group. of six fun facts. >> Okay, >> let's do that. Okay. >> Yeah, I could do that for you. >> What about Bowling Green? Can you tell. me bowling Green? Cuz they smacked. Sacramento State.
>> Eddie George, head coach Eddie George. >> Yeah, >> there's a cool picture of uh of them. floating around the internet, I believe, uh with Eddie George. Uh, Bully Green, you know, a traditional MAC powerhouse. uh, in Ohio. So, that's all I got for. you. Bowling Green. Really? >> Sounds like you don't know anything. about it either. I. >> Urban Meyer coached there. >> Yeah. >> Yeah, he did. >> Oh, yeah, he did. >> Long time ago. >> Quarterback that um, Drews. >> Yep. And ran was not a quarterback in. the NFL. Was a returner in the NFL. >> I remember matching on Wednesday nights. So, I I think.
>> we'll we'll get there. You got to wait. for the uh the weather. Right now, we. have a fun belt uh and party in the QA. uh right now and then once the weather. turns we'll get max. >> I was committed to Kent State. >> Okay. So I was gonna be a Golden Flash. >> You were? >> Yeah. >> You and you and Edelman. Yeah. >> Would have been the same recruiting. class. >> Yeah. >> Would have been the same recruiting. class. Then I went made a 65 yard down. in Florida, missed a 70 yard wide ride, flew back, got offered a scholarship to. West Virginia next day. >> And then I had talked to the coaches at. Ken State. They were the only ones that. made an offer for me and tell them I'm.
sorry about it. I just. >> a much better opportunity. business. >> They were not happy. You get it? >> They were not happy. They were very nice. to me. Very cool to me. Kent State. people were great. I went and had a good. time on their campus. We had a great. time. Couple visits. >> Yeah. >> Got introduced to some stuff. >> Official visits are great. >> Jungle Juice. I didn't know we had. Jungle Juice going on this thing. Where. am I headed? >> Go up to the bathtub up there. >> Oh, that doesn't sound weird at all, boys. Let's go up there. What is this? This is what you need. >> Not that Kent State football players are. doing that. These are people I just knew.
at Ken State, not the football team that. were offering that up to me. But I had a. blast on my official visits to Kent. State. Uh, and then I went to West. Virginia on an official visit. I had a. pretty good time there, too. >> I'm sure you did. >> I went on a couple unofficial visits to. West Virginia before that official visit. because a lot of kids from Plum were. going down there. >> I think I knew the school pretty good. when I was signing up for I think I was. made for it. >> It's a quick little drive. People don't. realize how close it is to Pittsburgh, >> especially to Moon. >> Oh, yeah. Right there. >> Why didn't you go? >> I don't know. They had a They had a. pretty good recruiting class. I I loved. the coaches there. Trick was tough. It.
was tough to I mean he just yelled at. everybody for an hour and a half. straight during the spring practice I. went to. Tony Gibson, all the boys, they. were all down there. >> Love Tony Gibson, head coach of. Marshall. Now Rich Rodriguez back at. West Virginia. I picked them to win the. Big 12. Tone, is that going to h do we. have a. >> The defense sucks, dude. >> Sorry, that came off very midish, which. I do not like to do. >> Uh but it's real. Whitey, uh, big Whitey. Justin, he put a tweet out in the middle. of the game this past weekend said,
"What's the opposite of complimentary. football?" And I think the right answer. would be rude. Like I think West. Virginia plays like rude football. The. offense good, we can move all of a. sudden. Zack Ally, former defense. coordinator for Oklahoma, just hasn't. been able to piece together on defensive. side at all. I mean, we're not getting. stops. There's games not getting a. single stop. Well, you got I mean the. Big 12 has some really good offenses. I. mean it started with memaker. You got. memaker which you know everyone's. getting messed up. He's awesome.
>> Arizona's with Noah Fafita. That's a. really good quarterback. Iowa State. That's a tough one. >> That's a tough one. >> That's a lot of [ __ ] losses. I didn't. know we had this many losses as you guys. are rattling these things off. I'm happy. you guys all know what's going on there. so well. Okay. Is there still an avenue. for us to win the Big 12? >> No. Damn. It's a good run. >> No chance at all. if you went out maybe, but you know, you got Utah and Houston. and Texas Tech sitting there. Well, and. Cincinnati and TC and Kansas are going. to be tough for you guys. >> It was all good just three weeks ago.
>> You know, >> I could say the same thing. >> Yeah, but on that note, you guys can't. be as shitty as you guys are with what. you got. >> Three and nine is going to be tough. >> Who? >> Four. >> You think Penn State? >> No, he means these guys. They'll beat. Cincy on. >> Got to get Cincinnati. >> They'll win this weekend. >> We'll always have Virginia. >> Cincinnati is who we're hoping we beat. >> Yeah. >> Everything goes right. >> West Virginia. Cincinnati is is a long.
That's on TNT there. Yep. All right. Uh. TCU at TCU. We should get that one. right, Tone. We should get TCU. >> Maybe not. >> On a good day. On a good day. >> Texas Tech. We already know what Cody. Campbell's been saying. Okay. Hey, so. WestJ boys could be all pissed off at. Oilman down there for everything he's. done. >> Kansas, you got Kansas at home. You. should You'll be favored, I think. >> Nah, they got a good offensive. coordinator down there. >> Andy Cotel Nikki. >> Codle Nikki. He was terrible at Penn. State, but I guess he's good against. >> is stealing plays from him. Sig said.
they stole a fourth down play from Cotel. Nikki. >> Wow. >> Guy just couldn't do it for Penn State. there, but he certainly got it. That's. why he got the job over at Penn State. Houston's got them swangers on it. I. don't like that we got to play them. And. then Utah to wrap it up. That's where we. shock the world. Woo. >> We still got a road and I believe a Rich. Rod and the lads got to get a stop at. some point on the defensive side though. Just just one time get off the field. >> Actually, not not necessary really. because you can just take the over and. it's awesome because every week you know. like hey WVU is going to score 30 points.
at least because Rich Rod's got it going. and their defense is me. So the over is. the best part of my Saturday actually. >> AJ um. this is Richrod's second year now. >> Mhm. Leave just lost three straight. It's getting real loud over there. >> You got a top 25 win. >> Yeah. >> What's that mean? We're not Yukon. >> No one expected it this quick, right? No. one expected the turnaround. >> Three and three right now, right? >> Yukon couldn't be a top 25. >> Kevin Brown is full eligibility still a. thing. >> So, the issue is what AQ just brought up.
about Trickett and about Rich Rod. It's. like if he's got the right people in. there, they'll want to build that and. stay and stay in the fire. But I think we're going to find out if. he has that or not is it's not just the. West Virginia, it's a lot of teams like. as your team starts to not go playoff. bound and you got NIL deals and you got. guys making decisions on what next year. looks like right now and you got agents. telling, "Hey, don't get hurt right now. on this team. They're going nowhere. We.
can potentially go to somewhere else and. do that." Now, Grant, are they lying to. those players? Are those players. definitely not getting the look that. they think they are? Probably. But. there's a lot more business decisions. happening now because it is a big-time. business. You guys got to worry about. that at Penn State. >> Big time. I'm very worried for Oregon. That could be like a mass exodus. >> A lot of money up there. >> And all those guys, you know, it's you. have your pick of the litter. You leave. there, you can go any SEC school you. want, any Big 10 school you want. >> A lot of those guys from the Southeast, too. >> Yes.
>> So, >> by the way, the Mountaineers. Mountaineers are six and0 to the over. So, to Connor's point, Yeah. you could. just do that. So fun. >> 63 and a half right now. >> I mean, if you're a freshman, if you're. a freshman on any bad team, including. the MAC, every coach is going to take. that person in a transfer portal over. any high school recruit because they got. experience at this point. So, that's. that's what you're battling against at. this point. >> Yeah. You guys need to watch your ass up. there at Penn State. >> Yeah, I'm we're right in that mix. >> How many wins you guys got this year? >> Three. >> How many losses?
>> Three. >> Three. Two. Three and three. >> You guys can still save it. Three lost. teams have made the playoffs every year. >> Huge game this week. >> at Michigan. >> Oh, >> at Michigan. >> Don't do it. >> We aren't. >> I knew you were going to do it. >> Don't do it. >> What? >> The we aren't or we are Iowa State. >> No, the we aren't. >> That's what you've been saying. You've. been saying this. >> is not what I've been saying. >> You said this is not what Penn State's. supposed to be. So that would make. >> That's fair. But.
>> we don't change the song. >> Penn State. Oh. We aren't pen. How was the white out. game? >> They got beat. >> Great atmosphere. They just lost uh USC. my 114,000 most ever at Beaver Stadium. >> Still showing. >> to watch that. >> So I think I think I read a stat. The. top five highest attended Penn State. games, you guys have lost all of them. Correct. >> No. >> Yes, that is a stat going around. >> Is that Is that a fair statement?
>> Really? >> Yeah. It's on Twitter. It's going around. right now. I think I saw it. >> So, every big game, >> we aren't pants. >> If it makes you feel better, >> I got television just lost to Cal with a. backup quarterback. >> I saw I saw that and he got um he got. beat by Pit the week before, right? With. with another backup. >> What do you want? Do you want So, you I. thought we were appreciative of what. James Franklin did. >> very much. But I just saw that that. happened. I saw it. So, it was very. controversial the kick. What did you.
think? You think it was in? Ah, >> there's only one person that can really. tell that and that's that ref. If he. happened to blink or have a cockey eye, which we don't know. I hope they don't. have lazy eye guys underneath the. uprights, but maybe they do. Crossey, lazy eye guys. >> I mean, I saw angles from that showed. both, right? If you're over to the right. of that field goal post, >> that view shows, oh yeah, he missed it. The other 58 showed he made it. >> Here is the use technology here. Can we. put lasers on the top of the things? Something. >> I mean, yes. I mean, I think I don't.
want to call for everything being. reviewable, but Pad Nooi got interviewed. six seconds after this. So, there wasn't. even a thought. It was no good. Game. over. See you later. Noo saying, "Hey, Reese Davis, why don't you [ __ ] put. us in a top 25?". >> That that was that was literally what. happened. So, I think everybody was just. kind of. >> gobbmacked by how quickly they just. moved on without even getting a second. look at it. But, I don't think you're. even allowed a second look at it. I. don't. >> That ref. Yes, the ref's decision. That. one ref right there. It's his decision.
or her decision. >> And the one under the other field goal. post is just looking at that guy. >> What do you say, dude? >> I look like could have been over here. >> He's like, no good. He's like, yeah, all. right. >> And then there's probably some refs on. that crew that were like, >> uh, are you sure? >> No. Let's get the [ __ ] out of here. These guys are going to kill me. >> He had no idea what he done. And then he. saw the clock go down to zero. He goes, oh, [ __ ] me. Let's get the [ __ ] out of. here. Nardooi. Big high five. >> Yeah, >> good call. >> I love Nardooi. He was fantastic on game.
day. >> Mhm. >> How about him buckling over whenever he. finds out that Reese Davis didn't rank. him. >> holding the ball? Hey, you win this game. or you hit this crossbar, Reese Davis. will put you at number one in his poll. next week. What do you have us in last. week's poll on ranked? >> Ree, wake up. Ree, wake the hell up. Then he loses to North Carolina. >> Yeah, >> Bill Bich was gonna have something for. him. >> I picked North Carolina, not just.
because West Virginia pits stuff, but. because. >> backup quarterback. >> Bill. >> And Bill. I I think Bill is not a stupid. football person. I I think he. >> Yeah, >> I think he's going to make life. miserable for some people. They're going. to get blown out. I assume they're going. to get outclassed by people. But I think. if you're a middle- of the road team, Bill Bich has certainly ample. opportunity to beat you. And that's just. us maybe being a little biased towards. that because he's the greatest NFL coach. of all time. So we assume he's going to. be a good college football coach. It.
didn't look like that last year. They. didn't even have a recruiting class last. year. I think if you listen to them talk. about it all while under fire a lot. They were under siege a lot with a lot. of distractions. And then did you see. after the game. >> players said, "Hey, you take a lot of. [ __ ] for us. We appreciate you." First. ranked win. They gave him a ball and. then they celebrated with him and Bill. was smiling. It felt like he actually. has a little bit of a culture set in. there somehow. I don't know how he's. been able to do it, but I think North. Carolina would be a problem for teams. They can get smacked. I think could get. smacked by teams that have five stars. across the board, but I think if you.
don't have that, I think. >> Well, he's in the perfect conference. because that conference doesn't have a. whole ton of teams with five stars. across the board. >> Yeah, Miami is really the only one, right? Miami, I would say down in the. ACC, the only team that is packed to the. gills with five star talent. Not that. that's what you need to win at all, but. it seems like when the big games come, they do end up winning. >> Florida State seems to pay a lot of. players, but they don't seem to do the. winning part of it, but they are paying. a lot of people. >> Congrats to Bill, though. He had to be. so happy in there. >> Yeah, it's cool. >> I mean, he's he's not a first ballot.
hall of famer for the Pro Football Hall. of Fame now, but he's been to the mountaintop a few. times. And we talked to M. Brown about. this at the end of his run at Texas. where he said, "If you win, it's a. relief, and if you lose, it's. devastating." I think Bill got like that. in the NFL. I I think there wasn't a. >> For sure. >> That's why we're on to Cincinnati. We. don't give a [ __ ] We're not celebrating. any of this in college. Maybe he has a. little bit more of uh hey, this is hard. Let's enjoy this. And maybe he enjoys. the young bucks that he's trying to mold. into adults more than he did necessarily. the NFL style. AJ,
>> I think it's definitely possible where. that like young energy can keep you. young. And he was in the NFL for so. long. when you get back there and you. feel those uh yeah, many different. aspects of life obviously, but uh as far. as coaching these youngsters, I think it. can like he thought about jumping around. and dancing a little bit when they were. celebrating and gave him that ball. You. could tell like it crossed his mind. Maybe I will like break out one of my. old moves. >> Yeah. I think some of his former players. probably looking at him in there smiling. and giddy after beating Pit on a. Saturday in the early season and going, "What the [ __ ] Who the [ __ ] is this. guy?" And it's like, well, this North.
Carolina Bill and it feels like North. Carolina Bill has a team and has an. appreciation for what they're able to. accomplish, especially with how it's. gone thus far. All right, let's chitchat. about something we all need to learn. more about. You definitely. go. Hell yeah, >> Connor. You definitely need to learn a. little bit more about. >> Yeah, I know. >> And Ty, the lack of respect you have for. this entire genre of stuff that we're. about to do, I don't like it. >> Not true. I think uh I think I'm going. to be pretty invested in today's. version, actually.
>> Oh, you are? >> I think so. >> Oh, interesting. AJ, I know you know a. lot about defenses, but I don't think. there's enough conversation about that. Good D. Ladies and gentlemen, it's time. for everything DB. Good D with DB. >> Let's sling some good D for these. people. >> Yeah, it's been a lot of Packers tape. today and we got some more. Xavier. McKenna, one of the uh players that are. tied for the lead in interceptions. The. Packers actually leading the NFL. interceptions with seven. He got three. of them and two from this week. You can.
see from this rep kind of showing maybe. quarters, maybe single high. They're. going to rotate and be covered too. I. want you to watch. You saw the shell. You saw the corners. You saw the. safeties. Watch this hook curl defender. Javon Bullard. We always talk I always. talk about playing high to low when. you're that underneath defender. Getting. your depth, getting to your spot, reading the quarterback. He does a great. job here feeling that route, not even. having to look back and see it. just. feeling that route, kind of bend in and. then getting that tip. We always talk. about tips and overthrows. He got a tip. Xavier McKenna, one of the best in the.
business, even from his days in the as a. New York Giant getting that ball, man. Great job by out 29, but it started with. seven getting this underneath drop doing. his 111. >> John Ganon had boys with a fire in their. gut, it felt like, Todd. >> Yeah, he's been he's been very good, especially with all the injuries that. they've had, but I think all Packers I. mean, I'm I'm ecstatic. He's done an. unbelievable job through five weeks. >> Does Hafley finally get you guys a good. defense? >> Yes. that he's gone. >> Yeah. Gutted to see him go. >> Yeah. Javon Bullard, we talking about. that Peach Bowl game. Uh he was the. player that knocked Marvin Harrison out.
of that game. Marvin Harrison was doing. damage, was killing, and he smacked him. in the back of the zone. >> Another one here. >> Another one from the. >> Bay Packers. This is the one that got uh. the bagman benched out there. I guess. Ben Johnson has saw enough. If you saw. it there with the pre- snap disguise. going to a single high and now he just. kind of becomes that backside hook curl. defender. I don't think the bagman ever. sees him sneaking back peeking back and. boop talked about tip. That was an. overthrow and this is the one where Ben.
Johnson just said I got enough. Case. came in he didn't do much better. Zire. Franklin here showing mugged up. He's. going to drop back and you see he's. trying to beat 44. Get it over. We talk. about layered throws. Never sees 29. coming from the backside. Zier said he. heard about them talking about him. Is. that what he said? He came out. Yeah. He's seemingly a vocal leader for you. guys immediately. We miss his tackles. here in Indianapolis. >> Yeah, he's very vocal leader. Very. And. from what I can tell, very well. respected and liked by his teammates, >> man. He's he's played good football. Yeah. A lot.
>> And they need him now more than ever. because, you know, Edric Cooper was kind. of the guy there and then he tears his. Achilles. So, it's like, all right, Zire, we really need you to step up. here. >> Yeah. If this secondary can keep playing. at a level and once Micah gets back out. there and he's anything close to what we. know Micah to be, which we expect, that. could be an ugly ugly defense down the. stretch. And here we are, 49ers, Renardo. Green. He I believe he was on the first. week when they played the Rams. He was. the first interception on everything to. be. It's a fiveman pressure. Not their. typical, you know, uh, zone, high school.
zone defense. It's more of a three. under, three deep, but for corners, that's pretty much man-to-man. And right. now he's on the island with the best. wide receiver in the league, Jackson. Smith and Jigba. He's all over this. route. Third and 10. Sits at the sticks. Very patient. And then finishes the. play. We talk about catch the ones they. throw to you. Did the hard job. Eyes. back break. Made the catch. Got his. elbow down. It's a catch. It's an. interception. >> He had two, right? >> He had two. >> And then there was also two fumble. recoveries for the San Francisco. defense. Four turnovers by the San Fran. defense. I think uh there was seven in.
total. There was one on a kickoff. though, I believe. And then uh I forget. what nonetheless they scored 21 points I. think off of these four turnovers. San. Francisco 49ers complimentary football. times. >> Yeah. The other one was from a dtackle. penetrated and it was damn near I think. a fumble in the end zone. Then Fred. Warner had one that was near uh the. 49ers end zone as well with a punch out. And then Ronaldo Green had another one. of them crossing route where he undercut. the Sam Darnold throw and made. >> who's their DC over there? >> Rahee Morris. >> Raheem Morris. Yeah. >> Golly.
>> These go through head coaches at DC's. >> Yeah. Smart. >> Yeah, it's it's a smart decision. Salah, is he supposed to be a DC or a head. coach? >> Probably DC. >> Unbelievable defense coordinator. Anytime you're a defense coordinator to. get a head coaching job, you have to be. unbelievable. You have to be. gamechanging. He's gotten two head. coaching jobs. Yep. >> Now, would anybody be able to win in. Tennessee, >> boy? Bad quarterback. >> Sounds like no. >> They got the Colts this weekend. Jesus, >> they better. >> They're going to. We pray to the. football gods that during Adam.
Venitary's Ring of Honor ceremony. >> It is a joyful occasion against a team. that has been in the. >> division for a long time. We love. Nashville. >> Love the city. >> Some say we try to cut our teeth down. there. >> We love the uniforms. >> Love the history. >> I want to punt, pass, and kick there as. a 15-y old national championship. love. Nashville. Their team has not been a good football.
team for a long time. And should we put. more on Salah and Dable in their first. year? Should we let them kind of maybe. recreate their own culture? I mean, that. that's kind of the entire question of it. all. Ty, >> Bob Sal's career win percentage is. 32.8%. >> It was the Jets and it's the Titans. >> He's 20 and 41, I think, at a certain. point. 61 games, that's a pretty decent. sample size. Bob Sal is an unbelievable. defensive coordinator. I don't know if. he's a great head coach. I think I think. he picks places based on defenses and. defensive players and never worries.
about the quarterback. >> And you can also argue like. >> no Cam Ward. >> number one ever pick. >> Brian D. >> Have you watched. >> that was a great. >> Yes, I have. But I'm saying when he. takes the job he thinks. >> Yeah, but you have to watch the tape. There was no like you can't just be. number one number one pick. Yeah, he's. going to be great. >> It's a 50% bust rate in the first round. over time. Let's be very clear about. that. number one pick. >> No, he's generational. Uh, Paisano um.
>> Borans the man. >> And that's also another thing that the. Titans have restructured like their like. leadership like executive roles. They. they do that like every six months. Like. these guys [ __ ] suck. Get them out. We're going to get three new people. They've done that so many times over the. last like year and a half. >> Can't beat the Colts this weekend. >> Can't. >> They won't. >> And if you get that job, you got to have. these coaches got egos just like players. got. I can fix I can fix I can make some. hires. You hire Brian Dball. I'm sure he. has some type of relationship with Brian. Dball's had success in college and the. pros. Hire him. He'll fix. We can fix.
the offense. I'll handle the defense. We. fix the offense. Sometimes it doesn't. work. >> This is just like guys whenever they're. 60 70% they can play but they choose not. to put bad film out there. Dball goes to. the Jets and the Titans and he's getting. his stats thrown at him about win loss. record. You know, he should just say. stay out of the conversation. Maybe wait. until a good one goes. But will there. ever be a good one and will he ever turn. around the Titans? Maybe. >> Uh, I don't think so. But also not a bad. idea cuz he knows he can just go be a. DC. Hey, I'll get a nice little bump. I'll go over there. We'll [ __ ] suck. for two years. I'll get [ __ ] can and. then I'll go do the, you know, hang out.
with my buddy Matt Laflur in Green Bay. for a little bit. Take a year off. Boom. Go be a DC somewhere. Be great again. Niners. Go back to the Niners and we'll. re That is his cycle and that's okay. >> And he gets to live in Nashville which. is awesome to see. >> Exactly. I think he built like a sweet. compound down there because he's got a. massive family. Bunch of kids. >> Yeah. He's got like eight kids. >> Yeah. He always gives credit to his wife. My. wife is the best. But he feels like he. does have. >> six equipment managers to come alongside. at training camp. You think that maybe. help everything, but they haven't been.
able to win. They can't win this weekend. >> other than the Colts. >> They better not. >> They won't. I guarantee a Colts win. >> Okay. >> Right now. >> I like that. >> Guarantee. >> I like that. >> That's how confident I am. That's my. best bet of the week. Colts minus 50 on. the board. >> EJ, you haven't talked in 20 minutes. >> I'm making pick with the Colts, so I'm. feeling it. I got to trust my instincts. here. >> I don't I don't like any of that.
>> Colts minus 15. JT two TDs under team. total Tennessee. They [ __ ] suck, man. >> With no hope. >> It's a week to week. >> Some teams suck with hope. >> Let's talk about another defensive. coordinator with good D that could be a. head coach. There's a lot coming out. about that entire process as we speak, but there's a lot of compliments being. showered this way as well. >> Absolutely. Could be a head coach. Won't. be a head coach until the lawsuit with. the NFL is settled. But if he had eight. kids, he'll probably blitz all of the. [ __ ] or at least line them up.
like he will right here. We got 1 2 3 4. 5 6 seven eight guys line of impression. The thing about watching this Vikings. tape regardless of who they're playing, they're going to keep seven in to. protect. So you know that as a defensive. guy, that is great. you're keeping a a. running back in, you're keeping a a. tight end in for protection. And the. quarterbacks, these pressures start to. be like ghost pressure because you line. up eight, you only send six. They the O. line, the the offense in general is the. max protection. They did a great job. picking it up, but if you watch Shuck, he throws this like he's under pressure.
off his back foot. He actually damn near. sprints out to the right side into. pressure and throws it up to Byron. Murphy for his second interception. So. Murphy had Brian Murphy Jr. has three. interceptions. Tied with the lead as. well. So, watch this AQ. Watch how they. pick this up. But watch Chuck like he's. going to you would think he was under. pressure based off this throw. >> Tyler like that. The pocket doesn't get. much better than that on any level of. football and he throws it into a bailing. corner double move. Chris Olive maybe. just trusting his guy to go up and make.
a play. But I mean this is this is a. lollipop. >> AQ, can you tell me a little bit about. Blo bringing it 90% of the time? And. Kevin O'Connell said it's just mental. warfare because he's got to go against. him in training camp and he's got to go. against him in practice. For the. offensive line, you're trying to figure. that out. Quarterback's trying to figure. that out. And how do you figure that. out? >> Yeah. I mean, most of the time it's it's. the offensive line, the center's job to. figure this whole thing out, and then. the quarterback can change some things. right there. He just signaled something. Who knows what that is? Probably told. the tight end to stay in, make this max. protect, and then you get the back. coasting across. The problem is what.
makes them so good on third down is. winning first and second down because. they can't do this if you're sitting in. third and three. Yeah, >> they cannot do this. Like there's too. many possibilities. So if the only time. what's what's the down and distance on. this? >> Third and 12. >> There you go. So that like third and six. plus, third and seven plus, that's what. allows them to win and get to this. >> And if Fox, if you go back to the wide. the original copy, like you'll see at. the bottom of the screen, these two guys. are wide ass open. Like he runs a deep. hook route down here. M1 wide receiver. 14. He's kind of running the seam. So.
the the the coverage part of it isn't. really on point. The only guy that's in. great positions is guy he's throws it. to. But like at the top of the drop, you'll see this guy at the bottom. He's. going to come wide ass open. But the. droppers here, they're getting out there. expecting crossers. They're looking up. Nothing comes inside. This guy down here. wide ass open. You have the time to go. through the read, but he was just stuck. on a for some reason. Didn't throw. But. if you look at just watch this guy at. the bottom of the screen, like that's. that's a pitch and catch in the NFL. >> Fourth quarter, less than three minutes. left. He's been through it for 57 years. with this defense. He's seeing ghosts.
potentially out there. Here's a stat. from Hembo about this Vikings defense as. we sling some good D around. The Vikings. defense is 14 to 63 on third down the. season. Their opponents are 0 for 23 on. third and nine or more. The best third. down defense ever is the 2019 Patriots. at 24%. So they're obviously outpacing. them. AJ Brian Flores is dictating the. game, right? Ain't that kind of how we. des uh can describe this? Yeah, that's. what I love because a lot of defenses do. not dictate the game. They let the. offense dictate to them with their their. personnel groupings and their motions.
and shifts and everything. I think Blo. just, hey, we can adjust to anything. He. gives his players a lot of freedom, I. think, to adjust on the fly and they all. seem to always be on the same page. That's the biggest thing I see. >> Another Hembo stat, the Vikings have. allowed just 12.8 points per game this. season, which is first in the NFL and. the fewest by a 5-0 team since 2019. Now, they wouldn't be 5 and0 if they. weren't doing this. Obviously, the. offense has tried to figure it out. The. Vikings have pressured opposing. quarterbacks on 50% of their drop backs. this season. The highest pressure rate. in the last 20 seasons is 40% by the.
2024 Browns where Miles Garrett had uh. 10,000 sacks and everybody else went. crazy. So, >> and even when you're not getting. pressure, the the pressure himself. almost like you got a clean pocket, go. through your progression. Nope. I can't. throw it up. I know somebody's coming. >> Yeah, >> that's good D, baby. >> Good. >> Hell yeah. AJ, anything we didn't cover that you. think we should have talked about? I. >> I want to ask AQ how difficult it really. is for those when they're showing double. A gap pressure. Like what is that truly. as hard as as people make it out to be? Because I know talking to O line and.
they always despised it and they did not. like when we did it. >> Yeah. So this one's just a single mug, right? But what you're talking about. with the double double A, you got two. linebackers in there, right? Here's why. it's so hard. >> The center has to set back square to. start because you don't know who's going. to pick. You got to punt block. you got. to set straight back and kind of put. your arms out. >> And so then what happens is is now you. can get a pick from both linebackers or. now you're setting back so you can't. help your guard if that linebacker now. goes to pick him and they're running a. linebacker with the tackle around and.
they can do that on either side. So. there's multiple situations there and. then oh by the way if they do run the. pick stunt now you're passing the stunt. off with a with a running back and. they're not the best at coming up and. handling that situation. So yeah and. then they can bail out of it and still. bring four weaker or four strong. So you. have no idea where it's coming from. >> AJ, you did a lot of badass double mugs, didn't you? >> Not a whole lot, but it is fun. Like you. can you can when you especially when you. and another guy played a lot together, when you're reading the the center like, "Hey, if he turns to me, the other guy's. going to ear hole him. I'm going to wrap. around like you do a lot of reading the.
center too. When you do that, that's why. when he does when the center does go. straight back and he punt blocks, it's. the toughest thing for you because one. of you has to fire and go try to ear. hole.". >> You can dummy point, too, AJ. That's. what centers do a lot. Like especially. veteran centers, they'll dummy point. So. if Pat, if you're up in this left a gap. and I'm going to you, I'm going to point. to Connor. Hey, I'm going Connor. Connor, Connor, Connor. And then I'm. setting to you because they're reading. which way I turn based on the pick. >> You're saying clown, clown, clown. The. next thing I say, doesn't matter. anything. It's a fake hill. I'm going. this way. I'm going this way. And dumb.
AJ's like, >> "Oh, free shot.". >> And then they just freeze cuz they. think, "Oh, we're picking here, but I'm. setting right to the pick." So it's. like, "Oh [ __ ] what do we do?". >> How many times you get a ear hold by AJ? You ever get earhold by AJ? >> No, I don't know. We didn't do a whole. lot of. >> He did almost I think I almost broke my. forearm against him in the in one of one. of the games that I was playing fullback. and I came and. >> fullback. I I need to cut you if you're. playing fullback. >> I think that's what you did and I went. down. I think your helmet got my. forearm. >> All right. >> A lot of people there's a lot of people. cutting AQ and he was his fullback days.
There's a lot of cutting of AQ. He was. the king of the wedge. He was the front. of the wedge for kickoff return and he. was also fullback. They're putting him. in motion. They were having him I mean. he was Yep. There it is. Three-point. stance. Let's utilize the athleticism of. our swing interior lineman that we have. here on roster. He's athletic enough to. figure it out. What happened was just. massive collision after massive. collision after massive collision for a. season. >> Yeah, that's why my neck doesn't work. anymore. That's what ended my career. But uh yeah, it's that's uh it worked. out well there for a little bit. I got a. nice little paycheck on it. >> Worse is when the big fullback cuts you.
like you never a buck 90s blitzing. through and yap. Come on, [ __ ] I'll. tell you what, that was the first time I. ever realized and saw Denil Hunter, though. I remember we were playing the. Vikings on Thursday night and I was. playing fullback, but I was lined up as. the the right wing and we ran a counter. to the left. >> and so they sent me in motion as the. first puller. So, they snapped it right. when I was like behind the backside. guard and now I'm going down the hill. and I got to cut or I got to kick out. Denil Hunter and he flew up the field. I. ended up getting just enough a piece.
that ended up being like an eight yard. run or something, but I remember being. like, who the [ __ ] and what the [ __ ] is. that? so fast. >> and so big. Like he was 6'8. His his. biceps were I mean he built like a Greek. god. I'm like what is that? >> AQ comes running over. >> Yeah. Oh. >> yeah. >> Yeah. >> The best AQ before you get out of here. >> We need you to do something athletic. >> Come on. >> I also think this football was seen in a. trailer. I think. >> Oh yeah.
Feels. like some of you have come here thinking. this is a [ __ ] game. It was hard not to sound like the Saw. character whenever I was saying that. >> Yeah, I think this is a [ __ ] game. >> You would like to play a game. I would. like you to become killers. Um, that's a. thin one. >> Yeah, I like it. I think I got a better. >> There we go. >> I got a better chance. I think if it. banks because it's soft. I thought we. talked about this last week. >> Just throw it. >> Just throw it.
Oh, see. now if that would have counted if that. would have counted for anything. >> So, good warm up. We were we were trying. to do that throw for Herby at Coleman. Coliseum for that video. >> before we go live. Herby's throwing 50. of them. I'm like, "Yo, >> stop [ __ ] throwing." Cuz he made like. two of them. I'm like, "You f what are. you doing? Like, at least let us have a. camera on this thing if you're going to. shoot it." He goes, "I just want to feel. it." That's why he was dripping sweat by. the time I got in there because he had. thrown 50 balls. I'm like, "Can we.
[ __ ] film it at least if you make it? Who knows if you're gonna make it?" He. goes, "Well, that's what I do. I want to. make it." Then before we start filming, after I'm yelling at him, [ __ ] banks. one in. I'm like, "Hey, >> wow, >> Dick, can we can we please stop for a. second?". >> Wait, who? >> He says, "You got it." Yeah, he he did. It was He made more than just this one, but this was the first two that were on. camera. He made probably six of them off. camera and threw probably 40 30 of them. We weren't filming. Nobody was ready. He's just [ __ ] hucking them up there. Hey.
>> Herby, he's like I'm having fun. I don't. know what's Herby football. >> He really was. And he made it whenever. we needed it, which I appreciate, but. boy, there was a couple moments just. like right there. Like, hey, >> we're just going to waste one there. Let's not waste one. Nobody thinks. you're making it on your first try. anyway. So, let's make sure at least if. you do make it, we have a little odds on. this thing. Ty, how many winners should. there be? Uh, let's do I mean let's do 25. No one. actually no one has made one yet. >> No. So yeah. >> So 25 winners. Yeah. >> $500. Connor has something to say to you. before you throw this. >> Just like you just did. I mean you hit.
the back room and it barely was a little. too far. Don't think about it. Just step. into it and throw it. >> Now we're trying to make you think about. it though because this is $125,000. that's going out of the out of the door. to a bunch of people that certainly. deserve it because they support the. program. >> and they're very kind and I I appreciate. them for doing that. AJ actually has. something to say to you before you. attempt the impossible, which is put. that football into that hoop right over. there. >> Do it for Do it for your your old guy, Joe Paw. AQ. Let's do this. >> There you go. >> We'll see it. >> 25 people, $500.
>> Put the statue up. >> They had it up. >> Is it down? >> Yeah, they they knocked that thing down. >> You know the [ __ ] answer. >> Okay. Hey, listen. Well, >> there's a lot to that. >> There is. >> Yeah. >> Very complicated situation. >> All right, we ready. >> I don't know. Let's go to Hammer Don. Todd. Tom, anything you say to AQ here. as he attempts the impossible of putting. that football into that basketball hoop. for 25 people to win $500?
>> Yeah, AQ, it's a it's a great day to. live free or die hard. >> Okay, think about it. >> New Hampshire. >> All right. >> Live free or die. >> Bingo. 25 people, $500. AQ Shipley. The. way people will potentially be selected. for this random winning that's about to. happen is you have to repost this post. You have to say something nice to. somebody, >> which. >> I think people should do more often. And. then you have to put the easiest way to. digitally pay you in response. All AQ.
has to do now, you know, baseball. hitters say whenever it's a high pitch, all you got to do is just get the wood. on it. Now that we have all the rules. and how you could potentially win, all. AQ has to do is just put that ball into. that hoop right over there. >> 25 people could win $500. >> heading into week six of the NFL season. >> Wow. >> You could even maybe take that $500. This is what I would do. I go right over. to the best sports book on earth. >> Yep. >> And I'm potentially because I'm. listening to you guys. >> Mhm. >> I'm responsibly turning that maybe into. a lot more. >> Yeah. Taking the Colts.
>> That's just. >> Mhm. >> And the West Virginia football over. >> Bingo. That's going to happen. All you got to. do, AQ, to make this dream come true for. all these people, 25 of them, is put. that ball in that hoop right there. You. miss it though, we're booning out of the. building. >> Okay. >> Okay. >> Don't think about it. >> I'm seems like you've been thinking. about it here. >> I'm not. >> So, let me fly. >> Yep. >> A little bit longer. And I think that. may have been good. Maybe not, though.
>> More more like a boom. Shipley, it's. >> almost Halloween time. Speaking of Boo. >> Oh yeah. Let's keep an eye on our. skeletons out front. >> That's right. That's right. >> Last year we had skeleton theft of the. year. >> Yep. >> We had cameras on these guys. We had a. return of the skeletons. We had push-ups. in the streets. >> That's right. >> As punishment. >> Let's take a sniper position this year. Yeah. Heads will roll this year. >> or explode. >> Yeah. >> We need to put someone on the roof. >> You.
>> for sure. >> Stay up there. Get those little crocs or. canes up there. Those. >> just gave your spot away. Now I got to. find a bush. >> Yeah, booby trap. That's. >> right. >> Get a ghillie suit and lay right next to. it. >> Dig a hole. >> Air tags already on them just in case. you ever wonder. >> Smart skeleton. >> Yeah, that's what I'm saying. Maybe you. are a skeleton. >> and you just don't move for the entirety. of the evening and then somebody comes. and tries to steal you and you say, "Gotcha, bitch." And then that's when. you pull out. >> That would be so scary. Terrible. >> You got to lock in though. You gota.
really lock in because if you move at. all, they're going to know. >> like those Vegas guys that are like. statues, you know, they're painted. >> metallic. >> Yeah, >> I got a I got a uh a knife as a gift. yesterday. >> Oh, nice. >> That was very sweet. >> I was very kind of the person that sent. that. Very, very cool. >> Surprising that that's what was sent. I. did not expect it. I don't think any of. us did. It's a good one. You want it? >> Sure. >> It's a very sharp knife. Way too sharp. of a knife for me just to be receiving. on. >> You can't give that knife away. >> Slit throats. I'm not going to give it. away, but you could use it.
>> He actually said it should be used for. situations in which you had happen to. you last year. So, actually built for. the moment. >> Let's go. >> Let's not kill anybody that's coming to. steal skeletons. Well, let's certainly. scare [ __ ] out of them. >> Yeah. >> Yeah. >> Great work today. AQ. You didn't win. anybody anything but. good day, boys. >> Debbot, way to go today, Debbie. >> Great work. >> How's XO's going? matchup. >> Great. Going great. >> That's in Philadelphia at NFL Films. >> Uh well, I fly into Philadelphia, but it. shot out of Mount Laura, which is about.
30 miles away. >> NFL Films is right there. >> Films. More. >> They got a Cordell Stewart documentary. coming up. >> Okay. >> NFL Films does slash obviously big for. the city of Pittsburgh. Cannot wait to. learn more about him. Uh NFL Films. always in the middle of about a thousand. different things. Literally a thousand. different things. We are very lucky that. we have a chance to do what we've been. doing for college. Now on Monday, Field. Pass with Pat McAfee Show on ESPN 2, Monday Night Live from San Francisco. >> Here we go. >> As the Washington Commanders and Jaden.
Daniels try to get over the flub of the. century last week, and that's coming. from somebody that was part of the worst. fake punt in the history of the NFL. Nobody had a clue what was going on the. offensive side. Will they be able to. rally around that? Will they be able to. come together? Will Jaden Daniels be. able to be true to form like we've seen. him in the past? They could have won. that game or the Giants. >> They have a tie, but that could have. that could have easily been a dub. >> He had over 100 rushing. >> Should have been a dub. Taking on the. San Francisco 49ers. We'll be live on. ESPN 2. Cannot wait to see how that.
goes. And then obviously All Roads lead. to us getting a chance to call the Super. Bowl and then whenever college football. playoffs happen, we're somehow going to. be able to do that as well. We're very. grateful and thankful. We hope you'll. hang out with us on ESPN 2. And we are. uh pumped to get out there. All right. Safe travels, Debbut. >> Thank you, brother. >> Safe travels. AQ Shipley. >> Thank you, sir. to the boys in the back. Great work. Good show, boys. >> Good job, boys. >> What's going on? Soccer. Come be. >> uh PSG's up, too. Nothing on Man City. right now.
>> Member of Man City was the team. >> Cheaters. Yeah. >> But will this count as a win for their. PSG if they beat Man City or. >> uh Champions League? So, they're still. involved. This all counts for this. season because those are Premier League. charges they cheated in. >> But if you cheat in a Premier League, that's how you have to get to the. Champions League, right? If I know it. So will it would inevitably all come. crashing down? >> The plot thickens there. Yes. >> Put in a bit of. >> Is playing tonight? >> He does play tonight. Messi will get a. snipe tonight for sure. Legend. >> Oh, [ __ ] yeah. >> Against.
>> I mean, it's probably minus 750. >> No, he's minus 165. >> Oh, okay. >> Yeah. >> Who scored for PSG? Dembele. >> Yeah, Dembele got one. >> Bobby Barl scored a hattick for. Liverpool as well. Bobby Barco, >> I like how much you're into soccer. because of how uh great your daughter uh. is and her team is. I can't wait to. continue to follow along with her team, which is the. >> SC Deloul. >> SC Deloul out there in Arizona. They got. a squad. >> Oh, yeah. Rufus's squad. >> Baralona. Rufus Deloul. Bartholona has. an academy out there in Phoenix.
>> They have an academy out there. Bartholona does in Arizona. >> Okay. >> Yeah. It's like 40 miles south of me. >> Don't love that. As a grande, Arizona, stealing all our players, stealing all. our players, but also I think showing. how it works. Hey, >> come to Barcelona school here academy. These kids are not going to have any. social life. >> All right, this is what if we want to be. good, this is what it is. You wake up, you run, >> then you kick the ball, then you eat. breakfast, then you do 20 minutes of. school. Need to know how to read.
>> Okay, I need you to do this. Then you. run again, then you take a little. napski. And guess what we're doing in. the afternoon? >> More soccer. >> We're running again. And then we're. going to do some soccer. And then. congratulations, we got study hall 20. minutes. And then we're have night. conditioning. And then you're going to. bed. Do that again tomorrow. And that's. how you can potentially become the next. Le. Did you see what this guy did. yesterday? Hey, fake day. Hey. >> Yeah. Who's the Who's the behind the leg. kick? Who's uh credited with that? Rabon.
>> Rabono. So he does a fake raono, which. is a behind the leg kick. Lets it roll. through as if he's dancing. I'm going to. cross this. The guy thinks, "Oh, he's. going to cross it." Nope. I'm going to. cut it back and then I'm going to do you. uh dice you up and then I'm going to. pass it and then this guy's going to. score because that's what I do. World. Cup champion there. >> We're never [ __ ] with it. Never ever. close. You kidding me? >> Kevin Svin could do that. >> No, he can't. >> He could. I don't know if he could do it. in that game against those people. He. could definitely accomplish that. And I. have faith in him. >> They do in the M.
>> You know, he's from Pennsylvania, too. >> Yeah. >> The main No, the Cav Sullivan. >> Yeah. Philadelphia guy. >> Yeah, exactly. >> Yeah. Yeah. I know. Hell yeah. >> Yeah. Pennsylvania. >> We got We got We got. >> Pific. >> Bingo. >> Now we got Kevin Sullivan. >> Yeah. >> Is Pific going to be on the roster going. forward? >> No. >> Oh. Yeah. They say he's done. >> None of the young guns right now. >> Letting the young lads play. A lot of. time here. >> Said he's coming on. >> Yeah. >> No. Him and Mo Punch got in a fist fight. and Mo Pon said that's it. Didn't. actually get into a fist fight, but Mo. Punch is a big like, "Hey, you're lucky.
to be here.". >> Yeah. So, >> Captain America, my [ __ ] ass. >> Actually, new captain is Tyler. >> Tyler Adams. Yeah, sir. >> Friend of the program. >> He's got it back because he had it for. the last one. >> And he found out I think at a press. conference when Punch uh was not him and. Pon are just doing a press conference. and then Punch goes this guy the captain. of our team. And I think Tyler at the. real time, [ __ ] I'm captain of America. all of a sudden. Yep. This guy. exemplifies everything. Dog. I think. what Ponch wants, we have. I don't know. if we're ever going to have Luminium all.
doing that. Yeah. No, >> in La Liga. Who are they playing there? >> Is Ponch [ __ ] 68? >> Yeah, dude. >> 400 lb. >> Yeah, he's the size of David Baker. >> Or is Tyler Adams [ __ ] 4 and seven? >> Tyler Adams casual. The guy's been. running for his whole [ __ ] life. >> Is huge, dude. >> Tyler Adams is 6'2. Think about that. >> Tyler Adams is sitting down relaxing cuz. all he's been doing is cardio his whole. [ __ ] life. The guy just wants to get. a breather. He has no idea he's about to. be announced as captain. He sits. straight up whenever he. >> That's fine. He's still sitting directly.
next to Ponch and Ponch looks like he's. a left tackle for the [ __ ]. Los Angeles Rams. >> Could have been. >> Ponch going with the young guns right. now trying to find our team and our. culture. Team USA is winning the next. World Cup. >> No, we're not. >> Yep. Oh, yeah. >> Thank you. for letting us do all this. Uh it's the. dumbest life of all time. We're very. grateful for it. If it wasn't for all. the you. >> we wouldn't get a chance to enjoy.
ball and I love it. >> Yeah. I'm actually happy we're not going. to win the World Cup because that means. our best athletes keep going to football. and basketball and baseball. >> and those matter a lot more. >> Yes. >> Yeah. No, exactly. >> Soccer sucks. >> We'll let the world have soccer. >> Imagine if AQ went to soccer instead of. football. We'd have been [ __ ]. >> Exactly. Or rugby. How' Kelsey do? Did we get I saw him. tackle a guy? >> I didn't see many highlights other than. a couple. >> Yeah, there was just him jogging around.
in that one video. There was no real. highlights. >> I saw the tackle. It was a good form. tackle. He stood a guy up. >> and and buried him. >> Yeah. >> He said he was in terrible pain. He. said, "My body hurts really bad.". >> Catch right after this. >> He [ __ ] he dropped a guy. >> NFL Network has the Are they filming all. this? >> It's him and Ball. >> Is he in the back there? Yep. Let me get. the ball and eat [ __ ] buddy. Yeah, I'm. Jason Kelsey. Yeah, >> nice. All right, >> that's number eight right there. That's. a true number eight right there. Yeah.
>> Putting his shoulder into the sternum. and burying him through the ground. I. appreciate him doing that. >> AJ, where do you see you out there on a. rugby pitch? >> I don't know. Rugy's gaining popularity, though. I know kids that play around. here. >> Oh, so. >> I don't know any rules about I don't. know how it works, but I know I know. there's kids that are playing. I know. it's a tough ass sport, but I do know. that if you meet a rugby person, they. can drink very well and they will fight. you. Like they're okay with the. fighting. I just learned about lacrosse. I didn't know you guys just put your. helmets on and box each other whenever. you guys are doing that. >> Oh yeah. >> Do you know that, D? >> I did not know that.
>> They put their little helmets cuz I got. these gimmick gloves. >> Point Park School of Arts in Pittsburgh. >> Sick mitts. >> They got some silky. >> They sent me these mitts here and uh my. fingers are a bit fat for them. I I. don't know if this is the right size for. me, so I can't get all the way in there. >> But you put these bad boys on and then I. guess you put a lacrosse helmet on and. then the kids are just boxing each. other. I guess it's like an everyday. thing. We're just [ __ ] fighting in. here. >> before and after practice. >> Did you know that, AQ? >> I did not know that. >> I did not know lacrosse was go ahead and.
bapping each other. No body shots. though, right? We're only head shot. >> I mean, if you do a body shot, then it's. like, okay, we're actually fighting. When you're just doing head shots, it's. just fun like banter. Let's [ __ ] around. >> What was I doing yesterday? I was doing, you know, it's like catapult here when. you're throwing. And then let me catch. you. Hands up here. Hands up here. >> There you go. >> Hands up. >> Working on the game. >> Cradle. Got it. >> And then there was a little uh what's. that person called? They I think it's. called drill in uh a band where they. throw the little batonyi. >> Um the major [ __ ]. >> You throw the baton. >> Drum major.
>> Drum major. Yep. >> That's our thing. Bruce did one of those. with his stick yesterday. We were. playing catch yesterday, throwing it. around. We had a nice little rhythm. going. Yeah. You want to put it right. here, AJ. This is the bucket. It's where. you want to put it at. I was I was. humming a marter right in his face. I. guess that's the worst place you can put. it, but it was hard not to just throw it. right at him. And then I'd miss and I'd. scream goal, but it was embarrassing. I. missed by 10 yards or whatever it was. It's not easy to control, but you put it. right in the bucket, it feels good. We. had a couple really rolling and then. Bruce got one and he did a little. [ __ ] twisty woohoo with the thing and. did a little twisty and then he caught.
it and then [ __ ] threw it to me. I'm. like, I did not know we had that. And. then I asked Connor if he's ever did it. He goes, I don't [ __ ] do that. Pal. brothers. They came to um like our local. high school when I was in middle school. and just did a bunch of stick tricks. Did back flips and then shot behind. their back. Uh so I picked it up there. Um and I do have a couple stick tricks. in the arsenal as well as a a uh long. and um proud locker boxing resume. >> Okay. So thank you for being that guy, Bruce, for your teams knowing that you. were preparing for what was going to. happen on the field in that locker room.
against your teammates faces. Uh the. stick trick response from you I didn't. necessarily love. felt like you uh he. thought that was a little Savannah. banani. >> No, that's what Conor said. >> I I play defense. I didn't do the cool. fancy stuff. I didn't care about scoring. goals. I just wanted to [ __ ] chop. wood and hit some people. >> So then I also learned if you run into a. [ __ ] at a game and he's running. forward and he's twirling it forward, that's a power thing. That fucker's. really good. >> That's some [ __ ] If he's skipping too,
I'm going to hit you guy. >> You better [ __ ] just get ready to get. in the blender. From my understanding, >> it's like growing up when you would go. to the basketball courts, right? Like. you're in like fifth, sixth grade and. you see one guy dribbling up the court. like through his legs and people aren't. Yeah. the whole time like all the way up. you're like, "Okay, this guy this guy. has some [ __ ] handles." That's kind. of like what the power cradle was in the. >> So in soccer, and I'm not saying this. just because of who I was, but it did. kind of ring true. If you saw long. blonde hair on a kid, but, >> white shoes, normally going to be.
problematic in the soccer thing. This is. the tell in the lacrosse thing. If. you're running forward and they're. [ __ ] sawing you at this thing, I. guess you're in deep [ __ ] because. there's no way that's as fast as they. can run because they're working. completely against the running stride. and they're also kind of showing you. what's coming and then they're going to. kill you. Learned a lot about lax. yesterday. A lot about lax. Not a bad. little sport. The stick tricks seem. cute. I I don't know how it works in. there, but then as you're running, you're just spinning. >> It's really sweet.
>> I know. You look cool with the gloves. and the stick on right now, too. >> Do I I'm losing finger and uh feelings. >> They look tiny for sure. >> Yeah. A little tight in here. >> Little small. >> Thank god for football. Thank god. >> Imagine if Jamar Chase was running. around crossed it. >> If we win Olympic gold, >> we're still going to win Olympic gold, right? >> Yes. >> I hope so. Relax. Team Canada is going. to be pretty good. What about the native. team? >> And if they let that happen, yeah, the. reservation team will be very, very. good. >> We're not going to let that happen. >> We will definitely win women's lacrosse,
like without a shadow of a doubt. And. then maybe like Canada's kind of good. men's lacrosse, but we're going to win. both. >> We'll definitely win women's. >> You don't know that. >> Oh, we we know. You know how many. countries play women's lacrosse? >> Yeah, >> probably like three. >> How many fingers you got? >> Yeah. Fingo, >> you got three fingers. >> No, no. I would say there there probably. only like three countries that play. women's lacrosse, which kind of not that. I don't think it should be, but why the. [ __ ] are we playing in the Olympics? Only like three countries can.
participate. >> Who is in the men's? >> Oo, I know Japan. Okay. >> Canada, uh the States, >> Uruguay, >> Mexico, I assume, >> Australia, >> England, Australia, >> Uruguay has a. >> Yeah, Uruguay. Pretty good. Saudi. Arabia. >> I think Kavanaaugh might play for Uluay. Uh Saudi Arabia, I don't know. Chile. Uh, >> Chile.
