The Pat McAfee Show Live | Wednesday November 4th 2026
studio. We had a full system studio. crash just moments before we were due. live here on ESPN. That does not mean we. do not have an incredible show in store. for you. No, no, we have so many things. to chitchat about. We just have to do it. from a new location. Obviously, this is. uh this is where Danlovski was living. during the uh free agency frenzy. This. is where the hammer die sports gambling. podcast broadcast from every single day. And it's not just me hanging out here. No, no, no. It's also a 9-year NFL vet,
a man who is an absolute legend, a man. who has a big old football brain, who. has a lot to say here on this glorious. day about everything happening around. the world of ball. Darius J. Butler is. here. >> Yes, sir. Here we go. >> Dutch, >> here we go. >> There it is. Yeah, we just you debut. >> It's an honor to be in here. >> Uh D, can we talk a little bit about um. the mental toughness that has taken. place here in the Thunderdome over the. last six minutes? We had a full crash, okay, of our other studio literally. moments before we go live. Sprint over.
here. Foxy puts himself in the back of. the Hammered Don studio. Bruce Brown's. over here. Mitt, the man who normally. operates his studio, has to be put on a. spot of pressure of answering questions. more so than he has ever had in the. existence of his entire being. So, we. are uh trying to get things done here in. a big way. Shout out to the team getting. us live. It's not just me and it's not. just Debbut. It's also a man who's a. 12year NFL. >> Let me talk. >> Uh we're not live on ESPN. I guess. there's no way of them to get our. YouTube, I'm being told. I don't know. why they don't just stream it straight.
from our YouTube, but they're saying. they can't do that. >> Okay. So, that we are not live on ESPN. right now. Still live on YouTube. I. think they can scrap uh off a computer. Uh tell uh Mr. Weeksy to uh go ahead and. do it. He had this figured out for last. week, I do believe. >> Uh it it is he knows the answer to that. We should tell him that they can do. that. >> Yeah, I got you. >> Yeah. Yeah, we got you, Bill. Yeah. So, please tell them to uh. >> This is awesome. Yeah, this is a good. >> Hey, this is where we thrive. >> This is it. This is chaos. This is where. we're supposed to be. And uh yeah, I.
mean, the Thunderdome, >> I don't know what the hell happened. Uh. but it feels like we've been hit with a. little bit of of a technological attack. >> This is no different than an NFL. building, if you will, right? I mean, you're just every time you just got to. go with what happens. Something's going. to move the drill up 10 yards. Yeah. >> And keep it rolling. >> Yeah. That voice you heard there but. couldn't see, that's AQ Shipley. We have. a different switcher on the board here. So, we don't know which cameras are. being uh being able to be cut to what. That was AQ Shipley on a couch over here. looking at us. Not weird at all, D.
>> No, not at all. >> Not weird at all. >> Hey, guys. AQ's probably used to this. type of setup, you know. >> Relax. >> Well, that's what I was That's why we. >> He's loving it. Yeah. Obviously, I think. he probably Yeah, there he is. There he. is. There he is. >> Okay. Do we have the ability to pull up. graphics? Uh, Foxy, what's all possible. here? >> Uh, yeah, we do. >> Okay, great news. Last night the college. football playoff put up their first. ranking and um. >> that's what. >> whenever you Yep. Everybody. >> Oh yeah, >> I think we're going to be able to pull.
it up. >> Foxy, we're going to be able to pull. this up. Yeah. Yeah, we got it. completely. Last night's college. football playoff rankings was a big deal. because it was going to be telling us. what we could expect down the line. whenever the actual college football. playoff is kind of unraveled. There's a. lot of conversation about Alabama. Why. are they ranked as high as they are? a. lot of SEC. UCLA the lowest ranked uh. undefeated team. Whenever you look at. the other undefeateds, they're at the. top of the board. Why is UCLA ranked at. eighth? Well, I think Hunter Uric. actually said something whenever he was. chitchatting with Reese Davis uh last.
night that kind of gave me a little bit. of a um how do I say this? A positive. response throughout my soul. >> Okay. >> My entire soul had a positive response. Hunter Uichek said that the football. coaches in the room actually said uh you. know the Ohio State defense up front and. in the back end against USC that they. weren't actually impressed. So I think. the football people are going to be. looking at things that we deem pretty. important for ball the trenches. How do. you do on the O line and how you do on. the Dline? I think that answer just him. mentioning that in its uh little bit.
which we'll have a video of it here in a. little bit once it gets uploaded into. this particular switch. sound. Okay. And we're all the way back. here. Uh the that little aspect of him. saying that right now. Here it is. Boom. Please run this Foxy. >> Oh. Oh yeah. Oh yeah. There's no way we're going to be able to. do that. Anyways, Hunter Uric says that. the football guys in the room basically. say up front Ohio State's defense didn't.
look as good. That gives me hope that. the football judgment is going to be a. big part of the discussion, which is. what normally makes everybody mad at the. end of the day with how many wins, how. many losses you have. We all know just. after this Saturday, there's going to be. vast changes made in this entire thing. We understand that that's going to take. place, but football judgment being a. massive piece of the Conville, I think, is good news, Debo, as opposed to bad. news, even though they definitely. contradicted themselves a few times. >> That's great news. And I'm glad you had. a positive reaction to Hunter. >> Big studios back. Hey, listen. Everything we just did here, roll it in. there for worst show of all time. on the.
other on the other side. We will see you. in uh count to 30 and we will see you uh. from the big thunder adult. >> 29 28. >> 28. >> 27.
Hello beautiful people and welcome to. our humble abode the draft kings. thunderdome on a completely normal. absolutely normal watt Wednesday. November 4th 2026 we hope you had an. incredible Tuesday congratulations all.
winners out there. >> happy that's uh behind us now we're all. going to come together and continue to. enjoy the hell out of sports. Thank you, Tone. I appreciate that. Tone will be. live FROM THE HAMMER DAD SET THAT we. were just in. The talks of tables here. at Boston Connor and at Ty Schmidt. Hell. yeah, Foxy. Good work back there. 9-year. NFL vet Darius J. Butler is here and 12. year NFL veteran, Super Bowl champion, player coach. >> Jackie Moon. Thank you, Shipley. >> Let's go, boys. We're still not live on. ESPN, but boy, it does feel good to be.
able to hear ourselves, see ourselves, and know that the boys in the back just. had to put together something that was. magical in a moment of pressure. Way to. go. Hey, way to figure this out. >> All right, we did it. >> Way to go, lads. I'm proud of everybody. Uh, and it's great to be back. I'm also. proud of the fact that I genuinely. believe that when push comes to shove. with this college football playoff that. they're going to make the right. decision. We talked about a little bit. in hammer dime time. Football judgment. seemingly being used debut. That's all. we ever ask for at the end because how. many losses are held against you? How. many big wins did you have? You're in.
this conference. You played this. schedule. It always gets loud whenever. you're trying to determine who the best. teams are, who deserves an opportunity. to go win a national championship or at. least get into the dance. But it sounds. like they are going to use a little. football judgment, which we like, even. though they were certainly contradicting. themselves within the own. >> Yeah. Which is going to happen. You can. never get it right. You can look back on. past years, you know, the the initial. rankings and then how it all unfolded. So, they'll never make anybody happy, but yes, we are happy about that. I'm. happy that Hunter, what you heard from. him actually made you feel good because. it's usually 99% negative after he.
speaks every time. So, I'm glad they are. looking at the trenches, hopefully avoid. more of these blowouts in the first. round, but we shall see how it actually. all plays out. >> Yeah. So, here's actually the clip of. Hunter Urch talking about the football. people in the room, two athletic. directors. We'll showcase who all is in. the room where it happens when we're. trying to figure out the top 12 teams. that are trying to count down to one. And that's how you crown a CFP national. champion. Hunter Urchek said this to Ree. last night. Kind of perked my interest. >> Some of the coaches in a room shared. concern about um Ohio State up front in.
their defense and not necessarily the. quarterback, but they did start a. freshman quarterback installed some when. they got inside the 30 yardd line. >> Okay. So, they say up front there, the. football people in the room are saying. these things. Let's look at the people. that are in the room, shall we? I. believe we have a graphic of all the. folks that uh have a say or at least a. vote in how this top 12 is inevitably. going to shake out. You got some people. in there that are big-time trenches. folks. Wesley Walls, 14-year NFL. veteran, okay, he he went to Old Miss.
He moves bodies down there in the. trenches. Super Bowl champion. Then you. talk about Randall McDaniel. First thing. you think of is, "Oh, that's one of the. biggest, baddest mers of all time." Love. Randall McDaniel being in there. Then. you got Danton. Uh, I think he's a. defensive trenches guy from everything. we know about him. And then Gus Mzison, that guy always running the ruck. I. mean, every football person in there, I. think has like an old school football. mindset about the trenches and what it. should be. Whenever he said what he just. said there about the football people in. the room said upfront. That made me get.
pretty pumped up about what's going to. happen whenever these inevitably have to. be picked down the road. Did they have. too many SEC teams high? Yeah, but. they're all going to eat they're going. to beat each other. We assume a lot's. going to change from this first ranking, but if you look at the stats of this. ranking in the history of the CFP since. 2014, only one national champion has. come from outside the original top four. ranking. Uh the number two position, it. sixtime national champs whenever you. look at the opening CFP ranking. So that.
obviously carries the most. And if you. get rid of the 2014 season, which was. the first year of the CFP, and Ohio. State was 16th, and then they go on. their run and win it all, I mean, it's. just the top four from the original. rankings anyway. So, are we complaining. about things that don't inevitably. matter? Potentially, but at this stage. with this particular year, with the. amount of chaos and parody it's been, how the hell are they going to know. anything about these teams? And I guess. that's a difficult decision in the room. But I appreciated the football judgment. seemingly happening. And if we look at. the football judgment people in the. room, I think they like big bodies that.
can move other big bodies. >> Yeah. And something Nick Sabin said to. us last year when Miss kind of erupted. as a powerhouse in the SEC was, "Hey, Old Miss and a lot of these teams, they've always had the skill set, like. the skilled guys and the quarterbacks, they've always had that, but they've. always been a little bit behind when it. came to offensive and defensive line. That was kind of the big separator. between those elite top teams, Clemson, Bama, Ohio State, and then the other. teams that just weren't there yet.". We've obviously seen it with Miss. they've, you know, become that type of.
school that can run the rock and have a. Kuwan Lacy. So, that is clearly the. biggest separator, especially when you. get down to the Boise States of the. world. You know, like those schools. don't have the biggest guys up front on. offense and defense, but that is what. will get you over the hump and be a. national contender. >> AQ, I know you love to hear that. Now, did they make mistakes? And if they're. going off a football judgment, UCLA, if. you just watch their film, hey, does. everybody know? Because they haven't. really played anybody. No, you can say. that about a lot of people, especially. if you want to make that argument. And.
obviously this particular team that it's. at UCLA and Bob Chzn's first year had no. decision-making in what scheduling was. each year whenever they joined the Big. 10. And what it is, they run the rock. They got huge dudes on the offensive. line and the defensive line. in the tape. that you go and say, "All right, is it. gonna hold up though whenever you take. on premier talent?" You go watch what. they did against Oregon, their Dline. across the board, gigantic. And then, uh, Tone, what is the average height of. UCLA's offensive line? >> Believe it was 6'5, 315 somewhere around. there. >> So, if trench ball is being respected.
more than ever by this football. committee, which it sounds like is going. to happen down the stretch. UCLA, I. think, has a lot of room to go. They got. USC, I think, and I think they have to. go to Michigan. But other than that, if. they're judging off a big boy football. and they're judging how many wins and. how you go about doing it, tough games. remain, every game is a tough game. UCLA. might be on a supersonic trip to the top. of the CFP ranking. >> There's a lot of talent on Oregon and. anytime you want to look at the. trenches, you always want to see them. play against other good teams, right? Oregon obviously has spent a ton of. money investing in their D lines and O.
lines. And you went and watched that. game, UCLA played against Oregon. Their. left tackle looks like an NFL tackle. Their two guards are massive, moving. bodies. And then you flip to the other. side, nose guard, defensive tackle, defensive end. I mean, they got guys. everywhere. And that is how you win. football games. I've been trying to say. it for years. >> They have some transfers in there. They. got studs. We were watching that D line. We saw some ham. We saw some swiping. We. saw some bull. It's like they got guys. across the trenches on both sides, which. from our understanding here is going to. be a pretty important factor with how uh.
tightly clumped all these teams are, I. think. >> Yeah. And then the rankings are one. thing, but when they actually get on the. field, we see them. We've been boots on. the ground, lucky enough to actually. watch these guys. You can see it. sometimes pregame. Okay, this team is. clearly the more the bigger, more. physical team, but especially a year. like this where you look at the. quarterback situation. We were talking. about it maybe last week, like across. the board, it's pretty evenly matched. You know, SEC, ACC, Big 12, like. everybody has, you know, kind of similar. quarterbacks. Nobody's kind of really. separated themselves. So, I think the. trenches will uh be even more of a. factor this year when it comes to CFP.
>> Yeah. And I didn't see Can we put the. room back up? Uh the people that are in. there is Reese Davis in there making is. there any representative for I know. we're shills. Uh but is there anybody. from ESPN in there or am I mistaken. >> because I saw everybody was mad at the. SEC SPN which I will say more than. anybody else on TV on ESPN because uh. represent the North, okay, in a lot of. these conversations. But this is this is. the group that is creating the top 12. and the top 25 and picking it all. ESPN.
pays to be the ones uh who can unveil it. just like they do with the playoffs. And. I know a lot of people say, "Well, that. means they're in control and they're the. ones swaying." It's like, yeah, I mean, maybe they do have some sway in some. scheduling stuff and who goes where, but. a lot of these decisions are getting uh. pawned off on ESPN. They're happening by. people that aren't like I and ESPN. invests that money. That's a lot of. money that they're investing in and uh. care deeply about sport. And there's a. man that gets a chance to question these.
people. >> who I think is one I mean 25 years 30. years maybe at ESPN. >> Yeah. Probably 90s. >> one of the pillars of ESPN. Still got. his fast ball. >> Oh yeah. >> Oh my god. So did you hear the reverb on. his voice in the intro for game day. >> Wonderful. >> Had Halloween all through it. Did a Did. a whole thing. I mean an absolute. stallion. Ladies and gentlemen, host of. College Game Day, Reese Davis. >> Reese. >> Reese. ESPN gets blamed for SEC being. ranked so high in the college football. playoff thing. And I guess that's.
because maybe ESPN showcases the SEC uh. with the the games package that it has. and that's the only place that these. people that are in the college football. playoff committee can see games is just. whenever they turn on ESPN. They don't. have access to every single film of. every single game of every single team. and supposed to know about that. But on. that note, there was some teams from the. SEC that were ranked in an interesting. manner. And my takeaway from your. conversation with Euroichek was he did. contradict himself a couple times even. in the statement in which he was. And.
it's going to be tough to subjectively, objectively talk from a position. whenever your vote might not have been. what actually ended up happening. So now. you have to stand up for something you. don't necessarily believe in. You told. them that it was a great convo. But that. urich check convo about the football. people in the room talking about Ohio. State up front against USC and giving up. too much. I think that's a big indicator. of football judgment being used more so. this year than maybe I've remembered. How did you kind of take that? Do you. feel that? And when will we actually. know if that's true or not?
>> Uh I took it the same way, Pat. And I. think that probably historically from. what I've been able to gather from uh. selection committee members over the. years after they finished, they do rely. heavily on the coaches and the former. players that they've had in the room. And a lot of times if teams are close on. the paper or close and the evaluations. from the committee members watching. them, they rely pretty heavily on the. coaches who often say things like, you. know, this is a team I wouldn't want to. play, which I've always sort of laughed. about that. I realize it's just verbal.
shorthand, but I'm like, well, if you're. a competitor, you'll play all of them, but you know, I think that they're what. they're saying is these are the teams. that would be toughest for us to play. And because of the reasons you outlined, the people in the room and their. pedigree and their history in the sport, it has relied heavily on things up. front. And that also, um, you know, I. think as Connor just pointed out, that's. been predictive of success. Uh, Connor. and AQ I think said that and I think. that's right. So, I think it's it's not. a bad way to look at it, but I would I.
would hope that it's sort of. differentiating among teams that are. very similar as opposed to just being. said, okay, they got a better line. I'm. voting for them no matter what. >> Can you also tell me a little bit about. the grouping comparison because there's. head-to-head stuff that is completely. backwards in the ranking and there will. be every single week, especially as more. games are played. But can you tell me a. little bit about the grouping and uh uh. the judgment off of if they're near each. other they're or potting I guess is. they're in the same pod they will be.
judged against each other but if they're. not in the same pod they won't what is. that I don't think I get I know they say. it every single year but I don't think I. fully comprehend what that means. >> I I don't know. I've tried and tried and. I don't think I've done a great job. explaining it. So I'm going to try and. hopefully this time I'll I'll do it as. as best I can. >> Thank you. If all of us sitting here now. were on the committee and we were in the. room, the first thing they would do when. we would come in is they would say, "Okay, everybody, you don't have to list. them in order, although I presume they. would be in order, but list six teams.
List the six best teams." We would list. them. Somebody would compile the teams. we listed and whoever the six are that. got the most votes for being the six. best would then go up on the board and. we would evaluate those six teams. against each other. Then we would vote. rank them in order. >> We would rank them in order. However, it. comes out one through four. Those teams. get locked into place. The other two. teams get held over. We then do the same.
thing to to list more teams to get. another group of six, >> man. >> And then we do it over again until we. finish the rankings. Sounds. >> It's a different group of top six each. time. >> Each time it's a different group of six. teams. So, that was a question I asked. Hunter last night. For whatever reason, Alabama and Tennessee, Indiana, Ohio. State never wound up in the same group. Now, that is one that's the biggest. thing that I would have taken exception. to and like to think that if I were in.
the room, say, "Wait a minute, guys. We. look what look at this problem that we. have here." And they do have a protocol. for allowing a revote, but I think. that's something they said. How come? How could we possibly have had a group. of six in which Alabama and Tennessee or. Indiana and Ohio State were not ever. matched in the same pile of teams. That's uh that's something that in my. judgment should have been scrubbed and. should have been addressed as they. looked at it. But um you know that that.
helps at least explain not excuse just. explain I think part of how how it wound. up that way. >> Thank you for the clarification on how. we get to that point. And I don't do any. of the ranking stuff. I don't have any. awards votes. I I don't I don't I don't. like that stuff. Can you tell me how. common it is to just have uh like little. sub votes to create an overall vote? Because I just thought it was like for a. ranking of top 25 for instance, which. you do part of the AP uh college ranked. I thought you gave in your vote and then. there's points assigned to each ranking.
and then by the points then they. designate the top 25. Is it normal to do. sub rankings to create a s a big. ranking? Because then one person's. vendetta could potentially carry a. little bit. Well, is that normal? Is. this how is this how super sophisticated. rankings things work that I never knew. about? I did not know that. It. >> It's not how the AP poll works. It's not. how any awards that I know of I don't. know of it working that way. But it is I. think they've they've tweaked this once.
As I recall, one of the early times that. I went through the exercise with them, I. thought it was just the top three that. were held over. I think they held over. the top four now. But they've always. used this methodology. And that's why. you'll often get a lot of times, I. think, has been frustrating to people. over the years that when I would ask, you know, what about team A and team B? and say, well, you know, the standard. answer from numerous committee chairs. over the years have been, well, we never. directly compare, you know, just two. teams or we never directly look at the.
conference things. I think the. methodology was sort of devised so that. they could look at teams as a group and. not always just have to say it's A. versus B. >> But my sense of it is personally each. member in that room at some point has to. evaluate A versus B. You have to look at. two teams. And I would think that all of. these people um would go in there with. an idea, open to what others might have. to say, listening to see if they can be.
persuaded otherwise, but going in with. an idea of who they think 1 through 25. should be. >> And we appreciate these people. Way to. go. It's not I mean ranking college. football teams, picking against college. football teams, deciding which college. football teams fan base is allowed to. participate in college football playoffs. is certainly going to get loud, you. know, and I can see why Hunter Uric uh. or whoever is voicing for this would. have some um you know uh maybe. hesitencies to say a lot of things about.
what's happening in there because if you. piss off some of these fan bases, they. >> they say some wild stuff. >> and you think there's self, >> man. They might be telling the truth. right there, you know, and and you. really they there the passion for. college football is the best that we. have in this country. They're never. going to get it right, but I don't know. if you've seen the 24 team playoff, you. know, if you were to put it together off. of this, you know, CFP opening ranking. that we have next year, there's some. games in there that I think we could. enjoy. I think we could certainly enjoy.
them. And every single one of them, you. think, uh, I could see an upset there. I. could see that happening. Wake Forest. dancing against Houston. Good battle. football team. >> Good battle. Wake would be hosting a a. playoff game right now. Could you. imagine that place back in down in the. hills of North Carolina? Beautiful. campus, small campus, small stadium. Place would be upside down there. Then. BYU hosting Boise. I mean, great. >> I mean, you talk about geographically. how that would how that would look, how. that would go. Great game as well. And.
then you talk about SC, Tennessee, South. Carolina, Ohio State. Is Lenor Seller. still doing Lenor Seller stuff right now. because to that football committee's. point on defensive side up front, you. know, they gave up a wall against USC. I. mean, anybody could win any of these. Missouri taking on Texas Tech, that'd be. electric. Would love that. Oregon, Miss, Iowa, LSU, Arizona, Notre Dame. I I. mean, I know we all hate radical change, but I think after the first 12 teams are. kind of selected for the College. Football Playoff from a committee of.
humans, uh I think a lot of people say. maybe 24 not as terrible on this day. Now, will there be blowouts? Yes. Will. there be blowouts this year? Yes. But I. appreciate them putting football. judgment in. Football judgment is. something that uh can't happen with. computers. Ree, I don't know if you know. this. Let's head over to Hammer Don. Tone. Tone wants to. >> He wants AI to take their jobs. Ain't. that right, Tone? Isn't that what you're. That's the drum you're pounding over. there. >> Yeah, I do want AI to take these jobs. because, you know, I respect all these.
people on the committee and and whatnot. And you know, the the problem with BCS. era where that was just two teams, but. now we're at 12 teams going to 24s. I. don't mind a computer these days now. picking the situation because when you. look at last night, it felt to me like. they just went around the room and they. were like started with one committee. member. Okay, who do you want at one? All right, you guys want my you that you. just you one person wants Miami. You're. done for the night. Number two, who do. you want at number two? Okay, it felt. like there was no there was a lot. >> like a draft like a draft. >> like like the Wake and Notre Dame both.
seven and one. Wake's got a better. strength of schedule, better strength of. record. Uh the a better loss. Notre Dame. loses to BYU, Wake loses to Miami, but. Wake's down at whatever 17, 16, wherever. they are, and Notre Dame's up at 11. And. then other situations, UCLA and Utah, both 8 and0. UCLA better strength of. schedule, better strength to record. Maybe Utah's got better wins. So there. in that situation, it's flip-flopped. Utah's ahead of UCLA by five spots. You. know, there's the whole Bama and. Tennessee situation there that we were. looking at. Bama, if you look at Miss,
Miss is also 6-2. They both have two top. 25 wins and two top 25 losses. Why is it. miss where Alabama is? There was just a. lot of situations last night where I. didn't know where they were going off. strength, schedule, strength, and. record. I test top 25 wins, top 25. losses in that situation. There was just. felt very disjonged last night. At least. with a computer AI system, you know what. the metrics are. You know what you're. going for in that situation. So I just. there was a lot of human error I felt. last night. >> Yeah, a lot of and a lot of this will. change. But. >> big weekend,
>> but stats have told us if you look at it. of the college football playoff since. 2014 and Ohio State's the outlier. It's. like the opening ranking if you're in. the top four, it's the only thing that. matters is what it's been saying. I don't know if this year is necessarily. like that and I don't want to like hype. up the rest of the season for all of us. cuz we're living it in real time, but it. it doesn't feel like that's necessarily. going to be the case this year feels. different than any other year of the. past. That's just me, I think. >> No, I I agree with you. I think it does. feel different and I'm not sure that. those top four teams you Utah we all.
think's a really good team, but their. biggest tests are coming. They passed. one at home against Houston. They've got. a big one coming up Saturday. We'll find. out more about them. Indiana. I give. them all the credit in the world. They. believe they're going to win and that's. a strength and that should be respected. and valued. I wouldn't say they've. played like a team that looks like one. of the four best teams in the country. right now. So, I I don't know that it's. quite the same uh as it has been in. years past. So, I I agree with that. The.
committee does get, for lack of a better. term, a bit of a mulligan because I. think 10 of these top 14 teams play each. other. So, some of it's going to sort. itself out. They'll either be able to. say, "See, we told you so." Or, "Oh, the, you know, Tennessee beats. Kentucky." And then that gets them in. the pod with Alabama and they wind up. ahead of them regardless of what Alabama. does against LSU. So, a lot of this is. going to selfcorrect over over time. >> We hope at least. But I heard some. promising stuff out of Hunter Euro's.
mouth. >> when normally I just go, "Ah, I'm tired. of listening to this guy." that. position, not just under your chick, the. person speaking for the college football. playoff to Ree. Ree, I like you put a he. put his feet to the fire a little bit a. couple different times. Well, if that's. the case, then how does And then he I. think he responded, gave his answer, but. I would like to go on record uh as. saying I don't think somebody has a vote. in that room should be the voice of it. Um I think we've all said this kind of I. I don't I don't want to speak for. anybody, but I think it should be the. exe I think Clark should be the guy.
that's in the room while they're doing. it. Hell, he should sit at the head of. the table. he's the executive director. or chair or whatever it is and he should. listen to them and what they're doing. and then he should come speak and say. there was a hell of a debate about Notre. Dame, you know, like he could do that. cuz he's not trying to stand up for any. of his votes or trying to protect. himself from any future hypocrisies if. if it gets out how he votes. So that's. just how I think. But we appreciate all. the people in that room making it happen. and certainly you Reese getting to the. bottom of it every single day. We. appreciate you brother.
>> You bet. See you in South Ben man. >> Yes sir. That's Reese David. >> Doesn't it doesn't it make sense? >> Which part. >> that the person Oh, yeah. Sorry. There. was a lot in there that could. potentially make sense. Uh or not make. sense. I don't think the voter should be. the speaker. Like I I know he's the. chair of it. So, or whatever the case. is, but him he's naturally going to not. like some of the decisions that were. made in there because he's voting. probably against some of these things. And then he has to come speak for that. That's a tough position for him. And.
this is with zero contact with any of. these humans, Hunter Euro check. included. I I have never I might might. have met him one time on the sideline. somewhere, but I I it's not me like. speaking for him. But as I was like. thinking of his positioning last night, it's like he has to answer for some. stuff that he doesn't even believe up. there. And it's like why why we should. just get the head person that is the the. the main person for the CFP speaking. about what happens with the voters, especially if the voters's terms kind of. change. That would be a consistent in. there. And he could even say like this. committee is a little different than.
last year's committee. It feels like, you know, like those types of things. would be greatly insightful, I think. >> Well, and it's evident from him that he. may even though he doesn't outwardly say. it that like he doesn't believe in some. of that stuff cuz I think that's what a. lot of people have an issue with is that. he doesn't seem confident in what they. like what their decision was. If you. have someone who's not on the committee, then they can just explicitly say like, hey, again, like I'm I'm the voice of. this committee. I don't have a vote. I'm. not the one, you know, opining for. certain teams to be in there. this is. where they came in. Whereas those.
questions are always going to be there. when he is on the committee and speaking. for it, then it's like, okay, yeah, but. you don't really necessarily feel like. that and your body language and the way. in which you're kind of delivering the. message doesn't really it doesn't really. add up with what you're saying. So, yes, if you have someone who is just. basically the committee spokesperson, then they can just be like, hey, listen, this wasn't my decision. That's what. they came up with and that's what we're. going with right now. >> Yeah, we need a committee crier, a town. crier. you know, we need a person that's. going to come out and speak for it. And. we appreciate those people because.
making these decisions about college. football fan bases. from a tiny bit of experience. I don't. want to do rankings or anything like. that or or have any decision actual or. any pull in anything, but just picking. against a team in a slightly. disrespectful way will land you directly. in the crosshairs literally and. figuratively. And uh that is just what. college that's why college football is. great. They're never going to get it. right. Even the BCS would be people. would complain about how the BCS didn't. And oh yeah, well that computer doesn't.
have a feel for what that game was. You. know, Indiana should have beat Ohio. State. They were just three inches away. He kind of talked about that. So Indiana. four, we think they have a win over Ohio. State, too, which we, you know, kind of. respect. So it's just like it's a never. ending. >> You can't even pick a perfect Shite. division every week. >> It's hard to pick a shite division. >> It's just four shitty teams. >> Yeah, it's hard to get it right every. single time, especially when there's a. plethora of parody. But at the top, the. CFP rankings tell us is the only thing. that matters. And if Georgia, who's. ranked number two, uh, six times the. number two first ranking, has gone on to.
win national championship. Ge, we all. would say, "Yeah, >> favorites right now.". >> Uh, what's that? >> Georgia, are they betting favorite? >> Good call. Uh, Tone, who's odds on. favorites to win Natty. >> Checking muted. >> Georgia. Georgia is the favorite. Yes. >> Yeah. So, that would make sense. Uh, and. Miami, you know, just because what North. Carolina just did. >> Isn't that crazy? It's a good ball game. >> and Florida State. >> Yeah, true. But Florida, Miami State or. Florida State and Miami, I think people. view it as like a rivalry game. North. Carolina, >> what Billy Edwards just though.
>> 50 mil they're saying. >> Where's that coming from? >> Good question. And they just said. they're going to they're going to donate. a bunch of money to the next. >> Good news is they don't have to pay it. all until 2032, I believe. So, they can. do it a line item each year. >> Oh, they can do t-shirt sales. >> They can do some merch. They can kind of. do that entire thing. >> And if Oregon hires him as the OC, maybe. then the offset of salary and stuff like. that. Yeah, offset language is in there. and uh obviously that happened with. coach James Franklin with Penn State. where that the offset language. But. Florida State, man, >> they had that run, injured quarterback.
Ohio State got docked here pretty good. Now they're saying it's because the. defense, but. >> I think we all understand why they're. potentially docking Ohio State. The. history of the College Football Playoff. Committee, if you don't have your guys. at key positions, the football people in. there are going to say, "No, that ain't. the same team." This has happened in the. past. Happened at Florida State. Oh. yeah. >> Since then it's been like man cuz we. thought they were all the way back. We. were on the wrong end of it on college. game day. They they hated us. Definitely. hated Herby. Hated my guts as well. Just. you know for everything I think is how.
but you could feel their passion. Like. Florida State fans are still there. >> Oh yeah. >> Like Florida State football fans are. still very much there. They are still. yearning for success. They are still a. massive brand that could bring it. Firing their coach restarting have to go. 50 mil out the door. That is just a. that's what a lot of people uh Governor. Jeff Landry last year whenever they. moved on from uh their coach uh Kelly, he goes, "Have you seen these deals?" I. mean, going bankrupt. >> Yeah. >> What are we doing? >> And now his name's popping up for. Florida State. He's interested. >> Well, I saw some video. >> Oh, well, yeah, there's a lot of those.
going around. >> I don't know. He was dancing for rain, nation. Oh, yeah. >> I don't know if I I don't know. I don't. know if that's accurate. All right, let's get to the NFL. Now, every single. Wednesday, we have a big lad who joins. us and talks about the trenches. But. it's not just O line Dline play. No, no. It's also something that hasn't been. chatted about enough. AQ has his. takeaway. A couch, what's your takeaway. coming out of week eight of the NFL. season? There's a lot of things you. could talk about. There's a lot of. different angles and ways you could go. What is your number one takeaway from.
week eight of the NFL season? >> Steelers D. My sack. Banger. >> Banger. Hey, the reason the reason I. brought that up. >> Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. You get it. >> Who sings that? >> Benet. >> That's right. That's pretty close. Well. done. >> Yeah. >> The reason I brought that up is listen, we can talk about all the sacks. They. had eight and a half sacks this week. It. was an unbelievable effort by that. defense. Patrick Graham, all the boys.
showed up. But if you look at these. three clips that I show, every single. time it's a sack, it's the other guys. that are causing the sack for their. brother, right? So, if you look right. here, Cam Hayward, he's highlighted. He's going against Zion Johnson, left. guard of the Browns. He's going to give. him a long arm as he comes off the ball. Boom. Long arm right there. And then. look who that is outside. That's Herbig. He's an absolute monster. One of the. three-headed monster on the edge. But. Cam Hayward goes inside, causes it back. to Herbig, and you get the sack. On the. next clip, again, same thing. We got.
Benton up, we got Herbig, we got Watt, all to the same side. Benton's an. absolute animal playing the nose. But. anytime you get three to a side, watch. out for the twist game. You're going to. see him go pick the inside leg of. Barber. He's going to hit him in the. hip. And then Herbig's going to go. around. They're going to cause pressure. up the middle, push the pocket. Deshawn. can't go anywhere. So what what is that. monster coming around the edge right. there? You got TJ Watt going against. Titus Howard on the edge. Yep. He has to. fall back. Gets to 14 yds. You get the. easy sack for what? Now, this is my.
favorite play because listen, you got. Cam Hayward right there. He's. highlighted again going against Zion. Johnson. The previous play we saw him go. up and inside. This time he slow plays. it because he knows Herbig's running the. hump. He's going around the outside. But. you have to have rush lane integrity. He's eating up two. He's reading it out. And then he gets off and he gets the. sack. So you're saying the my sacrifice. >> is discipline, fundamental, sound. football on the D line so you don't give. up anything and maybe let your friends. eat as you eat up other guys.
>> Well, and a lot of times whenever you're. doing your job, you're you think your. boy Herbig's going to go get that sack. and he runs the hump. And then if you do. your job now, he escapes through that B. gap because that's the open spot. Deshawn thinks, "Oh, I got a I got an. open lane. He's going to go there." And. then all of a sudden Cam's like, "Oh no, you're just coming right into exactly. where I'm playing you into.". >> You're feeding daddy, says Cam Hayward. Cam could get a little nosy in the A. gap, right? And then open that up. entirely. Then Deshawn can extend, maybe. even run. >> Think about the clip of Bo Knicks going. a 100 yards right up the middle and. every single just splitting the Red Sea. against the Arizona Cardinals a couple.
weeks ago. That was because the rush. lane integrity got bad. Everybody goes. to one side. You get Josh Schw running. the hump and you get this huge thing. Well, Cam knows that. Hey, if he's going. to run the hump, I got to kind of play. two gaps right now. >> Joining us now is a man who might know a. little bit about this. His brother was. the one gobbling up there. Deshawn Walton. >> Yeah. Yeah. >> Hey, Steel Curtain might be back, Jack. >> Big time. >> Eight sacks. >> That's a lot. >> Especially against Cleveland Browns, who. have good offensive line, right? >> Very good offensive line, but they made. it personal. I think that's the biggest. thing we're not talking about. I think.
you heard all of the comments from Jared. Verse all week. And you heard every. single player that got interviewed. mention about that. Hey, they heard it. Not only was it on the defensive side, you look at the offensive side and they. were taking shots every chance they. could to. Okay, so Mike McCarthy may be. a pretty good football coach, maybe. knows how to uh push a few levers. Joining us now is a man who's in the. Houston Texans Bull Ring of Honor. He's. in the Houston Sports Hall of Fame. He'll be a first ballot hall of famer. for pro football, we think. Ladies and. gentlemen, JJ Wage. >> Jage, what up, dude?
>> How's it going, guys? >> Full chaos. Forgot you were at 110. Thought you were at 12:30 like. originally scheduled. That's on me. That's on me. I I heard there was a. little bit. Did you hear we weren't able. to get live at the beginning of the show. because our uh entire back room crashed. six minutes before going live and we're. just waiting on technology. >> How did that go? >> Well, we're just kind of you with all. the technology these days, you just kind. of have to just like sit and wait for it. to figure itself out. Yeah. >> You know, so you a lot of lot of. circling. >> Is it like just a unplug replug or. what's the. >> I mean, you can definitely do that. You. can take the game out,
>> plug it back in, but inevitably when you. plug it back in, it's going to have to. connect anyways, which it wasn't. connected. So, we're just waiting on. Bluetooth, you know, whatever happens. there for them to connect to each other. And if they. >> don't understand it at all. >> Me neither. I don't get. >> the the wires under the ocean blows my. mind. >> Okay. So, wires under the ocean, we. understand that, you know, with tubing. that we have nowadays, you can keep that. somehow. And drilling down there still. doesn't make sense. The Bluetooth. though, I I will never get it. This. shit's just floating around. I send.
photo just by looking at you right now. Bang. It lands in your I I don't. understand that. And then in his back. room, we have this massive rack back. here. Requires multiple fans to blow on. it from either side. And. >> don't talk about Connor like that. >> Come on. I knew something was coming. >> Jeez, this guy's been walking on the. treadmill. >> I was waiting for that. You prick. >> I got like a B, you know, maybe a B, maybe a light C in there. >> Yeah. Working my way out of the C cup. >> Okay. Have a little. >> You do look good. You do look very good. Credit where credit is due. You look.
good. >> Thanks, man. I'm eating like an absolute. mule right now. So, yeah, I I I've been. trying. >> What's on the menu? What's on the menu? >> Whatever Whatever is out there, it. doesn't matter. Halloween. Yeah, I. pooped for three straight days, brother. >> Yeah, I'm still in the middle of that as. well. >> You can imagine. >> Holiday season's tough for the. discipline. >> Yeah. >> Yeah. You look good, though. You do need. to know that jawline looks spectacular. >> We're trying. >> Shout out to your wife, too. I think. she's. >> Shout out to her. Yeah. Eating healthier. because of that big time. >> And then whenever she turns her head, you get married.
>> Yeah, exactly. Doors by Candy. >> Anyways, massive rack in the back. Wow. We have to keep fans on it. That thing's. got to connect to a switcher that Foxy. has. Switcher controls entire show. Turns out that went down. Couldn't. connect to the rack. We're standing in. between. I'm trying to get thin, you. know, so the the connection can maybe. happen around me and Foxy. But. inevitably, we started from hammer down. studio. Didn't know if that was. connected either. It wasn't, so I had to. connect that. But how'd that happen? Well, who knows? It just kind of does. it. So, shout out to Tech for figuring. itself out and crashing. >> Hell yeah, Tech.
Hell yeah, Tech. Appreciate Tech. Tech. might be a little bit hung over, you. know. Big day yesterday. >> Yeah, that's right. True. >> It could have been a big day for. >> that. Blue wave taking a lot of [ __ ]. out. >> Could have been a big day for Tech. Could have been a big day for Tech. Hey, uh, okay. Let's get to what we were just. talking about with the sacrifice of the. Pittsburgh Steelers. Tee had two. They. had eight and a half against Cleveland. Browns. AQ mentioned it getting personal. with Jared versus comments and making. its way into the locker room and. certainly utilized as motivation. But. can this Steelers defense do this every.
single game? Why why does this only. happen sometimes seemingly as opposed to. other times? Can you just tell a little. bit about when a Dline is working uh on. a string together? And is this what the. Steelers defense is going to be going. forward in your eyes, J? >> I mean, also you you know, you have to. take into consideration how a game is. going as well and when you're putting up. points, when you have a lead and the. team has to throw, of course. And they. they certainly seem to be figuring it. out and getting better and better. And. we saw earlier in the year Patrick. Graham go from up in the box to down the. field. Maybe that was something to do. with it. Who knows? Um but they clearly.
having a lot of fun out there. When you. get eight in one day, that's a blast, especially against a team within the. division that you have such a heated. rivalry with. So for me watching this up. in the booth getting ready for our game. last week, uh obviously because I always. had the Steelers game on for TJ, it was. uh it was nice to see him get a couple. >> Yeah. And huge win. They're six and two. right now heading into a by-week. The. old men on the team are certainly going. to enjoy, you know, the entirety of a. by-week, which they have full length. one, which.
>> those are nice. Those are nice. >> Yeah, full length by-weeks are different. than week and a half by weeks. There are. people that are learning of those right. now. I think on. >> I just learned about that yesterday. I. did not cuz I was like, "All right, let's see what all this fuss is about.". And then I looked at it and I was like, "Oh, that that does actually really. suck." especially in Australia first. week in a early early game. They had to. they had to start training camp earlier. than everybody. >> But hey, deal with it. You're a. professional football player. That's.
right. But for the Pittsburgh Steelers, >> great break time right now. Great rest. for the old dogs as they know exactly. what's in front of them. Mike McCarthy, by the way, continues to win games. You. know, maybe maybe not the problem. >> No, >> you know, maybe maybe not the problem in. some other places. and uh him going back. home has been beautiful to watch. I. watched a special on him on Sunday NFL. Countdown talking about his brother that. passed and how his interview was on the. anniversary of his brother passing and.
they are um they view Robins as like his. brother saying what's up. He say he. walked out of his parents house there's. 10 Robins out. He said, "I've never seen. so many felt like it was guaranteed what. was about to happen." And he started. crying and it's like him going back to. Pittsburgh, Steelers winning and having. this opportunity with his parent. I. think he's living in his parents house. It's been Aaron Rogers last year. Might. be team of destiny type conversation. happening in Pittsburgh even though the. iners uh would never believe that that. could be such a thing with how it's gone. over the last like 15 years. Now, let's. pivot away from the Pittsburgh Steelers.
are certainly in a conversation. Let's. go to a team that we saw on Monday night. that I think uh might be unbeatable at. this point. Debbut has a question for. you, Jay. >> Yeah, JJ. Talking about the Chicago. Bears. Obviously, they got the. quarterback, they got the coach, and now. with this addition of Jeffrey Simmons, who we've seen dominate the FC South for. so long, what kind of difference is he. going to make to this team and this. defense going forward? In your opinion? >> Yeah, I mean, you saw it on display. right out of the gate on Monday night. I. mean, the first play of the game like. this to to most people, this isn't going. to look like anything crazy or anything.
at all, but just watch him on this play. and the way that he locks out with. perfect technique, sets the edge from a. three technique. Yes, it's an inside. zone, but he sets that edge. The cut. back happens there and then he peels off. it and goes and helps make a tackle. Four, five yard gain. Yeah, doesn't look. like anything at all in the stat sheet, but for me, his very first play of the. game, that technique, that defensive. tackle just goes to show you. and then. three plays later he gets the sack right. out of the gate. Like he is just a. dominant player and like I've said, you.
know, I said it on our pregame show the. other day, like I think he's underrated. only to the casual fan who hasn't been. able to see a lot of Tennessee Titans. games the last few years. But to. football people, they realize how big of. a deal this is and what he brings to an. entire defense. And now that the. coordinator can also call less pressures. if he wants to keep more guys in. coverage. There's just so many things. that he does for your team. >> Yeah, absolute wrecker. A monster of the. midway now. And getting a chance to chat. with him before the game after watching. him in the AFC South for all these years.
just dismantle everybody. Even though. they lose, he would just be an obvious. wrecker in the middle of the entire. defense. And on special teams, too, I I. I've mentioned this a couple times, just. like you, if you're on the field, you're. you were going to give it 100%. So, whenever uh punt safe is on the field, I. I I don't think people know what that. exactly means. Let's say uh you're at. like the opponent's 41 yd line. It's. fourth and four or something like that. Getting the ball back. Punting goes out. there. Uh defense team will say punt. safe. This is just keeping the defense.
out there. Safety leaves. Returner comes. on field. This is a fair catch. Punter. knows it's a fair catch. Defense is only. on the field to get the punt off. That. is their only thing. Normally take it. off. >> Normally just kind of casually. Normally. just kind of chill. Then you get. [ __ ] like this guy. Okay. who's. trying to win the MVP at the Pro Bowl. and he sees a long snapper right in. front of him for the first time all game. and it's like I got a long snapper and a. um a third uh a third linebacker right. in front of me here and then the PP's on. the other side and I am 10 yards away.
from changing this entire game. And a. couple of those guys take advantage of. those situations. JJ was one of them on. a regular basis which I hated. And. Jeffrey Simmons, same exact thing. Jeffrey Simmons, if he has an. opportunity to wreck the game, he's. going to do it. There's no playoff. There's no like relaxing. He has a a. motor and an engine. And Tennessee. didn't want him to leave. He didn't want. to leave Tennessee either. I think I. loved that. I loved how much it was like. he did not want to leave. I assume his. name has come up a lot of times in the. past with how the Titans have undergone. like new management, but Chicago.
benefited mightily. Two ones in a four. >> The Tennessee couldn't turn that down. >> Two ones in a four. >> You can't turn that. And kudos to. Chicago. Obviously stays healthy. >> Chicago's hoping it's a 32 a 32 one. It. might be a lot. >> It might be. Yeah. Next year might be. too, you know. I mean, it looked like a. completely different team and the. Seattle Seahawks hadn't been beaten up. like that, let alone at home under Mike. McDonald ever. I I I I don't think that. is something that has happened. And then. Caleb on the offensive side. Yeah.
Right. They might be for real. The Bears. might be for real for the next 10, 15. years. Yeah. We might be entering the. Chicago Bears are all the way back era. Third largest city in America. So Bears. fans are everywhere. >> Is it true that they got a deal or close. to a deal to stay in Illinois? >> Yes, >> they did get a deal done. >> That's what's being reported is the. initial. >> happened for like three, four years, man. Nobody knows anything that's going. on up there. It was in Indiana. It's in.
Chicago. It's in Neapville. It's over at. the horse track in Arlington. Where is. the hell are they going to be playing. football? As of right now, it's. allegedly back to the the Arlington one, which I think is what they wanted to do. initially. And then that's all it took. was, hey, all right, you don't want to. pay for this. You you guys want to [ __ ]. and whine about this. We're just going. to move the team to Indiana then. And I. think they're like, okay, we could. actually potentially lose the Bears. here. >> So Indiana's part in this entire story, if the Bears do remain over there in. Illinois, is they presented an offer.
that the Bears could take to multiple. places and say, "These people are. telling us we don't got to pay them. anything." Mhm. So. >> Mhm. Yep. >> So So can we at least pay 50%? >> Who's going to be the bad guy? Do you. guys want us to leave the state? Cuz. we're going to blame you. >> They're just taking like a percentage of. our ticket sales for the next 30 years. or something. We don't have to put any. They're They're fronting the entire. thing. They're building the entire. [ __ ] thing. Stadium, nicest stadium. we've ever could imagine. Building it. Parking lot. Building it. Little plaza. thing for everybody to hang out. Building it. Hotel. They're building.
They're just taking some tax from the. area basically for the next hundred. years. But we don't have to do [ __ ]. We're just kind of showing up in a new. spot. That makes it a little You can see. how we're in a tough situation with what. you guys are offering us, which is. absolutely nothing. Then Arlington comes. back and goes, "You got it. 50%. Let's. go ahead and make this happen." There's. been numerous stories like this in the. past. Allegedly, Jim Ers flew in a. helicopter over Los Angeles. And it was. just reported by like TMZ or something. that Jim Ers was flying over Los Angeles. in a helicopter to scout sites for a.
potential new stadium over there. that. made its way here to Indianapolis to. Indiana and then all of a sudden there. was let's get a new stadium in here and. then the city's like we own the stadium. you only have to pay 200 deal let's go. ahead and do get that done so there's. always maneuver. >> I wish we could figure out some traffic. and parking for Soldier Field location. because I I'm a huge downtown stadium. lover I'm a big big fan of downtown. stadiums I understand the logistical. challenges but there's just nothing. better than driving into a stadium.
downtown in the heart of a city. especially a city like Chicago right. there on the lake. It's pretty badass. >> Yeah, I agree. But nowadays with what. Jerry World has become and up in Foxboro. with Pats World or Pats Land or. whatever, there is Patriot Place. >> I like Pats Land. >> I was in there. I was in I was in the. ballpark. But that that is the new. model. And why would it not be if you're. one of these owners, you know? But for. the good of the game, good of the. optics, good for the cities, it's like. those stadiums being a pillar of a. stadium is a beautiful thing.
>> Lucas Oil. >> Yeah. Like right here. I mean that. that's what Lucas Oil is in India. Yeah. >> Right here. Right here. It's right here. It's part of the skyline. You know, it's. a big deal. >> It is. It's a huge skyline. >> Easy. Easy. >> It's a huge sky. >> Easy, dude. >> It's a big city. >> It's always fun for. >> Hey, I've been watching film this week. for the Jets Chiefs. AD Mitchell just. went absolutely ham. >> Yeah. >> Yeah. Just a casual just casual piece in. a trade. >> Two ones and AD Mitchell. We'll take. sauce.
If we don't get a one out of this whole. thing of us just giving away all our. good players, they're going to talk. about this for a long time. >> You're not going to, unfortunately. You. There's just no way. I don't I don't see. it anymore. >> They might. >> Does Minnesota have a one? >> Mhm. >> I heard they went Jonathan Taylor pretty. good. >> I heard they might want Dan Jones as. well. >> Okay. Okay. So, we might get more. >> chains. >> Dan Jones and JT for two twos. Oh, no. way. Is it just two twos?
>> You never know. >> If we come out of this with none of our. players and no number one pick this. upcoming year, that's going to be tough. It's going to be tough pill to swallow. >> It's a dog way, baby. >> We got none. >> That's crazy graphic right there. That's. a crazy graphic. That's a wild graphic. >> Okay. >> Jeez Louise. >> All right, J. We get it. Okay. Big. skyline. Wild. >> trademark at a halt. >> That's what Raport kind of indicated. yesterday. I don't know if you heard. this, Jage. Rapaort came on and said. nobody's able to trade anything right. now because just the vastness of two.
ones and a four the force Buckner's. worth 20 41 seventh or something and. they have crazy and then Quinton Nelson. perennial allp pro he's only a third and. a fifth so nobody really knows what the. value is of anybody is it the colts and. dods value is it the league value is it. the bears value is it the boroni value. so that's kind of uh put the trademark. at a little bit of a standstill as. they're trying to figure out where the. market actually is right now that's what. Rapport said yesterday. >> mhm Mhm. >> And I like the dodge is saying, "Let me. shake this [ __ ] up a little bit.".
>> Boom. >> Can of corn. >> That's a tough look. >> Couple diet cokes. >> That's a tough look. >> There are last. >> You got some pieces there. You got just. >> Don't questions. >> Hall of Fame left guard. >> Third and a fifth. But hey, you don't get. >> I don't even have a team and I would. have done that deal. I'll give you a. third and a fifth of my pantry for. that's I just to have Quint Nelson walk. around my house cuz that's he's that. good. >> Him and Schneider are buddies. Okay. It.
was a friend helping a friend. >> Well, and then you got Rapaort and. Chefer coming out. You know, no interior. offensive lineman's ever been traded for. this much capital before. It's like, well, how how has a team ever been in. the biggest shite position that the. Colts are in right now? You know, that. does change things. You can't just be. comping what a team was and what a trade. was then. Whenever you're giving away. all your good players and you don't have. a one next year that seemingly could. change your positioning a little bit. Hey, you're gonna have to get us now. You're gonna have to get you. We're. taxing a little bit. Why? Cuz we're. screwed for the next 100 years. So like.
we need just a little bit of something. We're in a bad spot. Trade deadline. November 10th. Yep. >> We have until then to potentially find a. number one. Colts made a big move. though. Sign a guy. I don't know if you. I don't know who's doing the signing. Okay. We don't know. >> Well, we like the move. Hey, great to. have you around. Great to have you around. Another five. years. His name's hard to pronounce. >> He's unbelievable. Give it a shot. I do. it. >> This guy's unbelievable at football. >> You're in the A booth. JJ, you do it. >> Yeah, >> I know. I got it. I.
>> He ain't not doing too many Colts games. in the A. >> Go. >> Yeah. Well, I uh. >> give it a go, Ty. >> Uh our monitor actually doesn't work, so. I don't have his name on here. I've got. it up there. So, >> I had no idea. He doesn't have nothing. >> Yeah, we're kind of just flying blind. right now. May maybe add attitu. >> Okay. Tommy, >> we call him double A though. This guy's. got a high motor. He's a battery. He.
never ends. Okay. Double A is ready to. go. And he'll have uh single A power if. you need. >> double A. I like that. >> Yeah. Yeah. Double A. >> Never heard that one. Double A. >> Yeah. DT. Double A there. Yeah. And I. think we like it strictly because we. don't want to disrespect him and his. family by saying his name wrong. it's a. lot easier. These are things that we can. say, but what we can also say is this. guy's been a spark for us this year. >> This guy has been a spark for us this. year. He's been making plays when. literally everybody else has been. leaving. So, shout out to Double A uh. sticking around. What's that, Ty? >> Well, I was going to say he's got about. four or five days here to demand a.
trade. So, >> he just got. better be up on the side of that stadium. by Sunday. >> Yeah, >> we have thank yous up right now. >> Well, it's game day on Sunday. Get them. up there. They should just put up like. beer prices instead of players. >> That's not a bad They wiped that JW. Marriott clean downtown. >> Well, that's cuz somebody else was uh. bought this space. >> Pacer season. >> Yeah, Tyrese is back. Caitlin Clark's. gotten new shoes. Okay, >> that is a cool space. That is a great.
space. >> Thank you. And everybody's talking about. they took it down because the Colts. Colts only needed it for first few. weeks. They sell out these season. tickets. Okay, we got it. They took it. down. Somebody else will go up there. season's over. >> And by the new. >> King was like a half wrap like that. Like it's like a it's like a upper. quarter wrap. >> What do you want? You want the whole J. Dub? This is the beginning of the. season. >> Like the bracket like the NCAA bracket. where it takes up the whole thing. >> Well, obviously there's different. pricing for all these sorts of things. and different stories you want to tell. The coach said, "Hey, it's the beginning.
of the season. We're right here." And. then if it was going to go well, they're. going to work their way down the rest of. the JW Marriott. But instead, we got. shoes to move. Caitlyn Clark's new shoes. are awesome. Ali's new shoes. Incredible. You'll see them up there on. a JW Marriott. Everything must go in. Indianapolis and we need a one. Let's. not just talk about the Colts. We need. to move along. Team is shite right now. Got a big one against Cowboys. >> That's right. >> Ty has a question for you. Jage. >> Yeah, J. You just had Chiefs Broncos and. uh just curious what your thoughts on. that game are and if how the Broncos.
play essentially is sustainable. Bo. Nicks is kind of terrible the first. three quarters, but then you look at his. splits in the fourth quarter, he's. unreal. He's already got 15 game-winning. drives in his career in 13 fourth. quarter comebacks. We know their defense. is really good, but from what you saw, like can they win a Super Bowl play in. that way or do things kind of need to. change and they've they've been getting. fairly lucky here? I mean, I I I we're we're at the point. where I don't know if you can even say. that it's like luck or anything because.
of how often they do it. I mean, it's. pretty incredible to watch the fourth. quarter comebacks both last year, this. year, the way that they perform in the. second half. I asked Bo Knicks about it. when we were talking to him this last. week and I was like, "Your second half. numbers versus your first half numbers. are completely different." I was like, "What changes in the second half? What. is it about it?" And obviously he was. like, "Well, if I knew I would just do. it in the first half, so I don't have. the answer." But then he started talking. about like maybe it's when the game is, you know, on the line or you absolutely.
need it. That's when it's just the, you. know, the most free, I suppose. And so. that that does relatively make sense. Like you're getting the most loose and. free and confident version of him when. his back's against the wall and he has. to make plays for this team to win. games. So, the guy could just have the. absolute clutch cheat and he's also. still coming back from the ankle. He's. also still getting healthier. We saw in. the Arizona game him use those legs, used them a little bit more this game. He ripped a couple nice throws early in. this game, missed a couple also. But.
then the fourth quarter when it's time. to go win a game, they drive down the. field, they go to win it, and then. Patrick Mahomes, another guy who's one. of the best ever at doing this, drives. them all the way down to the oneyd line. and they can't get in from the one. Me. personally, I asked all week and had. thoughts of you got to use the. quarterback sneak at some point if. you're the Kansas City Chiefs. You have. Justin Fields on the sideline. If you. want to bring him out, have Kyus Tonga. behind him and push him, but you have to. get one yard to win the game. And I.
understand why you don't want to use. Pat, especially on that field and. everything, but you got to use a. quarterback sneak. >> Patrick Mahomes hurt his knee, I think, uh, doing a quarterback sneak one of. those years. I forget it was Carson. Wentz also as well in a similar. situation. And so I think Andy Reid is. against that. But if you look at what. the Pittsburgh Steelers do with Fri. taking the snaps, you can certainly have. somebody else do it. You didn't like. that they were in shotgun. You didn't. even like that there was a chance for a. false start by that right tackle, which. uh Dan Rolovski pointed out on all 22. His right knee. Right knee. Uh. >> it was absolutely a false start. Saw it.
immediately on the field. And now I. people like talk about the look back. That's that's exactly what you do when. you fall start and you want to play it. off like you weren't. But there's no. question that that was a false start. And especially when Cooper pointed it. out to the ref like that's called 100. times out of 100. >> Okay. They're that close to beating the. Broncos though. Okay. Instead, they. don't. Now we're high on Broncos, low on. Chiefs. Connor has a question for you. >> Yeah, JH. They did beat the Broncos week. one and that was kind of the K9 welcome. to Kansas City game. And we all remember.
he ran wild. But you have the Chiefs. again this week uh at home against the. Jets. People are seemingly kind of. concerned with the Chiefs, the teams. they've beaten. when you line them up, they don't look great and now it's. seemingly, hey, if you stop K9, Mahomes. doesn't have enough help on the outside. to really win these games. What is kind. of your thoughts and status with the. Chiefs? Do you think they have a team. that can, you know, make a run? It's Pat. Mahomes, Andy Reid, they'll be fine. forever, or are you a little bit worried.
about them, especially in the scenario. you just mentioned where they're kind of. play calling at the end of the game, got. them in trouble and let the Broncos back. into it? I think that there there's no question. that every team comes into these games. with the game plan of stop K9 and make. them do it through the air over the top. because right now everything through the. air has been short. I believe it was. this is three games in a row that. Patrick Mahomes air yards has been under. five yards per throw and that's he's. never done that before. Um and so.
everything is short right now. They just. don't have that. Taquon Thornton back in. the Las Vegas game was the last time. they were really throwing it down the. field. They had Cyrus Allen in this game. where Pat threw it deep to him, but he. kind of pulled up and and slowed up. before the throw got there. Travis Kelce. is going to be Travis Kelce. He's going. to make those catches. He's going to. catch the ball in open zones and run. after the play. EMTT Johnson played. unbelievable in this game, so I'm. looking forward to seeing him again this. week because he was incredible. Also. making special teams tackles. Rashi Rice.
being back some of those underneath. catch and throws. But they really do, in. my opinion, just need one more big. receiver to take the top off and to have. some downfield threat because right now. people are just packing in on Kenneth. Walker. >> A lot of stats coming out, you know, since Tyreek Hill, we won't put them up, but there's a lot of stats uh about. Patrick Mahomes not really being that. much of an explosive quarterback since. Tyreek Hill has left. Now granted, situations are situational, but it does. feel as if they get another weapon out.
there, maybe somebody that can get open. for him, maybe somebody could take the. top off. All of that is available still. as November 10th is the trade deadline. >> Part of it. >> for Andy Reed. >> He's got to play better though. >> Yeah. >> And he'll he'll probably be the first to. tell you that. And maybe he's not 100%. yet, but he's definitely not throwing. the ball like we're used to. 15 throwing. the ball. And a lot of it is that's just. kind of the nature of their offense. He. does throw a lot of balls at the line of. scrimmage or behind the line of. scrimmage and getting another player. down there that can stretch the field. will help. But 15's for sure has to play. better.
>> Yeah. And last year he's taken a lot of. hits, doing a lot of running, >> they got hurt. This year, you know, comes out healthier than ever or earlier. than we thought he was going to be. They. have the success. They lose to the. Broncos. Now everybody's wondering what. the hell's going on. >> Well, and also when you do have Kenneth. Walker, it's like you you should be. running the ball 20 25 times a game. and. Rasheed Rice has missed a lot of time. So, he might also be another guy that's. like, "Hey, got to get back into it.". >> We mentioned trade deadline. There's a. name that just got launched right into. the front of the line of that. AQ. Arizona Cardinals color commentator has.
a question for you, Jage. >> Yeah, J. Epic comeback obviously by the. Cardinals. Everything looked dead. through three quarters. They put Mchu. Mania in. He brings him back. They get. the big win. Coach Laflur has said that. Mchu is the guy moving forward. Jacobe. moves to the number three. If you're a. QB needy team like the Eagles, like the. Ravens, like the Vikings, would you. think about trading for Jacobe. Brassette? >> It's a good question, AQ. That's a good. question. >> Um, I think you really got to just. decide what what you're trying to be and.
what your ultimate goal is because I. think the question is like, are you are. you trying to be marginally better than. what you are right now? Are you trying. to go out there and win a Super Bowl? because I mean I think that obviously. when a guy gets put down like that on. the roster there's a reason for it and. that the play has created that. situation. So is he possibly better than. somebody you have on your roster and. could win you a little bit more? Yes. What are you willing to give up for that. versus do you think it can take you all.
the way? And and personally I I don't. believe that that would be a take you. all the way situation. >> I love Jacobe. >> Yep. >> I like Jacobe. The Minnesota Vikings. situation is interesting with Kyler with. the hamstring now. You know, the. hamstring Carson Wentz experience is. about to happen. I like that for Monday. Night Football. Carson Wentz verse Josh. Allen. Do the Minnesota Vikings fans. like that for the long term? And would. they like Jacobe more than they would. like Carson Wentz? >> I think he makes sense in Baltimore. where it's like, you know, >> yeah, Joey Joey Fano. >> YEAH.
>> But like he could get them to eight and. nine and eight where it's respectable. That's the kind of franchise that isn't. going to just like you basically say, "Hey, we're done with the season." But. yeah, like I mean the Vikings are. they're six and one. Like I don't think. trading for Jacobe Brassette is. signaling to the the fans like, "Hey, we're trying to go win a Super Bowl.". Also, >> I want to see another intra division. trade. Joe Flacko back to the Ravens. Full circle. The guys been traded. everywhere in that division. I don't.
know why it happened last time in the. same division. You should never help. your somebody out in your division, but. screw it. Make it happen again. and put. him back in the Ravens. He can retire. and then go straight into the Ring of. Honor. >> Won a Super Bowl there. >> Mhm. >> Got paid big time there. Answered the. elite question there. >> Big time. >> I mean, everything about Joey Flack. makes you think about him going back to. Baltimore and kind of finishing his. football story. Jesse Mentor's defense. >> Dump that ball to Zay Flowers. Hand it. off to Derrick Henry. Just let him do.
it. >> Okay. So, Jacobe in Minnesota, we don't. love. >> I'd love it. >> I think it'd be sweet. >> You're a Packers fan. >> Yeah. >> Okay. >> Let's do it. >> That's why you would love it. >> Let's do it. >> Okay. That is the only reason why you. would love that. >> Yeah. That's part of it. >> Haven't we said though, which is why the. revolving door at quarterback has. happened in Minnesota, that with their. defense, and Dan Rosski said this, JJ. McCarthy makes them maybe better than. with Sam Darnold. And all he has to do. is be above average as a quarterback.
You don't have to be great. You just. have to be above average to be a. quarterback for the Minnesota Vikings. And your defense and the system should. be able to win you games. Now, Kevin. Oonnell has not had a lot of success. with, you know, a lot of quarterbacks as. of late. So, people are starting to. question everything about him and his. system and his scheme. But, if you could. just play average, right, in that like. that's what our eyes are telling us. about the Viking. >> That's the idea with how much skill they. have on offense. >> If you could just play Okay. >> Yeah. But that that's that's really hard. to do in the National Football League.
week in week out to be an above average. quarterback. Above average quarterbacks. are making 3540 million a year because. it's only however many of them out. there. So to trade midseason and get and. I don't think I would be that don't feel. like a lateral 16. >> Yeah, exactly. >> Yeah. You got to be a top 16 quarterback. to be above average. >> below average quarterbacks are making 30. 40 million. >> BUT JACOB JUST SIGNED A DEAL FOR 20. million or whatever. >> That's right. So he. >> they got to call San Francisco and make. an offer on M. Jones that they cannot.
decline. >> So Matt Jones would know the offense. Is. that who would know the offense? Because. Jacob's been in every single offensive. system. So I assume Jacobe would be able. to understand a Minnesota offense. >> Shanahan McVey, right? Same tree. K. >> You would think I don't know. >> I would terminology is the same. The. terminology is the same. There's. different nuances obviously, but the. terminology is the same. So it's an easy. transition. >> Is Daniel Jones going? Dana Jon, he's 30. something million. He's 30 something. million. >> He's been there. He wasn't traded, so he. could go back to the Minnesota Vikings.
Or is it the Carson Wentz experience in. Minnesota? >> I think you let it eat with Carson. >> I think so, too. >> Yeah, he won week one, beat the Pack. attack. >> That's right. >> And the Bears. He said he loved Anthony. Rich. >> Manage it. Manage. You said it. Just. manage the game. Don't screw it up. Just. manage the game. >> He did after the game going, "I love. you." Kevin Okcon told Anthony. Richardson he loves him. Anthony. Richmond came in fourth quarter against. Jacksonville Jaguars. Guess what? >> Guess what? >> Looked good. First down. Didn't look. bad. >> No, he did not. Looked like he could get. out there. Why aren't we doing that. right now?
>> Maybe the Ravens should make a call for. him. >> Actually, pretty good in that system. >> Ravens got their guy. Fano is a stud. >> I saw him. He's got a brick around that. right ankle. >> Yeah, >> he's got an absolute. >> brick around that right ankle. And. listen, Fano's Connecticut tough. >> Bingo. >> He's Yukon tough. And he can spin the. pill, brother. >> Listen, I like Joey. >> I was so looking forward to seeing that. game, man. I was so looking forward to. that game. It's going to be such an. awesome game.
>> Yeah, we're still in on it, guys. We're. still We're still super pumped about all. of it. We're still going to be a. Thursday night. >> Well, Derek, >> waiting all week for Thursday night. >> I don't think that's how it goes. >> Trevor Lawrence, 44 touchdowns, 11. interceptions in his last 17. They just. demoralize the Indianapolis Colts. Bad. teams, they put them behind a shed and. shoot them in the head. >> Not getting enough credit. Jacksonville. Jaguars not getting enough credit. >> Line has moved. Jaguars now favored by.
10, not nine and a half for Thursday. night against Joey Fenano and the. Baltimore Ravens. That's in the bank. there. >> Yeah, that's at Baltimore. Is that the. largest dogs they've ever been at home? >> Has to be since in recent memory. Now, they have had backup quarterbacks. playing a lot. Snoop Huntley has made. the Pro Bowl because he's played so much. over the last few years actually with. Lamar Jackson being injured in the ways. that he has. Such an unlucky situation. there with the thumb first play. >> first play that sucks. >> That sucks. That that absolutely sucks.
Zay Flowers was asked about um Lamar. next year and he said that's not for me. to talk about. I don't know. And they're. like whoa what does he know? It's like I. think he's through he's on contract. through next year. >> So the Ravens would be able to make a. play if they wanted to to trade him. Uh. is that what happens with Lamar? Is he. going back to Miami? I know Gumpy's been. selling that pretty big. Lamar Jackson's. getting traded down to the Miami. Dolphins. He's going back home. Jeremiah. Smith's getting drafted down there. It's. going to be a South Florida party for. the Miami Dolphins. All these are pipe. dreams. >> They're getting Yeah, they're getting. Lamar and holding on to their first.
round pick. >> We got We got the third most amount of. cap space next season as well. >> Yeah, don't worry about it. >> The rookies they have, you hold on to. those picks. Every single guy they've. picked seems to be unbelievable. >> Yeah, that's what they're saying. you. get Lamar Jackson, a quarterback down. there with the amount of talent that. they have young, there's a chance, but. they would have to make a trade with. Baltimore who has another year of. contract for Lamar Jackson. Fun time to. be alive here in the trade deadline day. We appreciate the hell out of you. Have. you seen who the odds are uh favorites. are for the AP awards at the end of the.
year? Have you seen those yet? >> I have not. I have not. >> Well, here they are. MVP Josh Allen plus. 165. John Harbaugh over there in New. York plus 225. Many coaches could be on. there. Maybe Ben Johnson, you know, uh. he's actually doing he's definitely. doing a good job. Will Anderson Jr. down. there in Houston, potential defensive. player of the year. I know you love. seeing that, J. >> I do. >> Even though the Houston. >> defense has kind of been the. conversation. >> Yeah, they might kill his chances. >> Jir Gibbs, he's uh on pace for 464.
touches this year. And we have an update. from Jack Campbell. I do believe that. has happened over the last 20 minutes or. so. Jack Campbell uh has a quote that. has been released through social here. Adam Shfter's released it. Jack. Campbell's statement through the Detroit. Lions. I have full movement in my lower. body and I'm continuing to make progress. with movement in my upper body. I know. there's still work ahead, but I remain. very optimistic. I'm taking things one. day at a time, staying positive, and. focusing on getting better. Let's go,
Jack. >> Oh, yeah, Jack. >> That's great news. >> Let's go, Jack. >> That is going to be tough. That is going. to be hard. I assume there's a lot of. fear and anxiety in it all. Keep going, Jack. Hell yeah. That is positive news. right there. That is positive news. And. if he's continuing to hear that he's. going to continue to work back to get. movement in his upper body, that means. he's being told it's possible. We assume. Jack Campbell will attack that, execute. that, and we will be moving forward. That's great news, Jage. I love hearing. that. >> That's great news. Hoping for absolutely. nothing but the best as he continues to. recover.
>> Isn't it Isn't it crazy the perspective. that kind of gets put into place. whenever we see something like that? like what you guys did and obviously. you're in the trenches. So is AQ. You. guys had contact every single play. Like. and then something like that happens and. it's a very quick reminder where it's. like holy hell. You you forget how. physical this game is. You forget how. fast everybody is. How just in the blink. of an eye literally everything can. change. That's actual with the sport. >> Oh, it's unbelievable. It's like those. types of situations. I remember, you. know, we had a teammate with cancer who. had to we had he had to miss and you go.
to the hospital and you visit him and. you're just like this this everything. that I'm worried about and I'm thinking. about on a dayto day is literally. meaningless compared to life and health. and so yes these are the moments and you. would imagine that that team is fully. rallying around him visiting him when. they can and doing everything because. this is the most and I once you have. kids changes it a billionfold even more. like I when it when I when I break my. leg or something during a game like it's. just you and you're it's like single.
doesn't matter just fix it up doc and. I'll go figure it out then you start to. have kids like oh this is like I got. some real stuff going on here in my life. I can't just be breaking legs and. everything's fine so yeah I'm I'm very. happy to hear that he's having positive. news that's great. >> yeah not only the responsibility you. have to other people so don't be. breaking your legs but also like what if. this was my kid you know that's my first. time that I've you know that is that's. been added to my. >> entire entire life where I'm just like. flying around like, "Hey, let's go in a. moment." Blah, blah, blah. And then. something like that happens.
>> I haven't even thought about that yet. I. haven't even thought about that. >> Yeah. Like Mackenzie, >> that's going to mess me up. >> I'll see something and I think to myself. like, man, what if Mackenzie like that? It'll I was at that Iowa Children's. Hospital out there. >> Yeah. >> And they're talking about the the the. NICU um floor that they just built. It's. brand new, state-of-the-art. And baby. Midas was in the NICU for uh about 24 36. hours after he was born. Uh uh I forget. how four weeks early. He was at 36 weeks. as opposed to 40. So he was in there.
And then you just start like immediately. think and then you run into like a four. or 5year-old girl, you know, who's just. a little bit older than my daughter and. what they're going through. And then you. think about what the parents are going. through. It's like, man, I had no idea I. had these emotions. And it's like you. literally start putting yourself in. those positions. And it's like. perspective can change that quickly for. all of us. Let's remember that, you. know, and let's remember we're very. lucky to be doing all this. We're very. thankful to be alive and we're very. pumped that you made the adjustment to. come on earlier as opposed to at this. exact time. You're the best, brother.
>> I was I was thrown for a triple loop. And I'm glad that we made it work. eventually. >> Yeah. Well, it was perfect lead after TJ. Watson. I sacrifice. >> That's right. Boom. That's right. >> That is right. Tell you what, >> be a friend. Tell a friend something. nice might change your life. >> Who'd you vote for? >> All right. That's That's JJ Watt. No. selling. No sold any of it. No sold any.
of it. Uh I don't know when exactly. we're off the air. Uh I don't think I. know. I don't know if it's uh what time. it is cuz it's 1:12 on this clock. Uh do. we have two minutes? >> Yeah, we have two more minutes. >> right now. >> Okay, >> clock's back. Thank you to JJ for that. Good news out of Jack Campbell. >> Great news. Huge. >> phenomenal news out of Jack Campbell. I. was surprised at those odds that at. least one of those positions. >> Will Anderson? >> No. Uh not him, but uh I'm surprised. Jackson Smith and Jigba isn't the odds.
on favorite for the offensive player. I. know Gibbs is having he's second. Is it. close? >> Second. Yeah, it's pretty close. >> Okay, cuz he's on pace to like break the. alltime receiving record. >> every record. Yeah, just constant. disrespect. >> Legit. >> I don't see protector of the year up. there. >> Any odds? Any odds on protector of the. year? >> No, you can't bet on it. >> Yeah, cuz so hard to predict with you. big guys who's going to be good, who's. not going to be good. >> Who would be right now? >> Yeah. Who would be your protector of the. year right now? A. >> Quinton Nelson's got to be in the. conversation.
>> We We [ __ ] traded away Quinton the. protector of the year. I think I think. Quinton Nelson, Darnell Wright, uh. Tristan Wors, I think those three. Frasier is unbelievable. He He's the. best in the league right now. Hands. down. >> Zack Frasier, >> not even a question. >> Mountaineer, let's go, cuz I like. >> Not even a question. I mean, his. technique, it I'm telling you what, the. offensive line coaches, Campy and Jar. Evans and Pittsburgh, I mean, have. changed that group so much. I mean, just. watching Zack Frasier's technique is. incredible. Cannot wait to see who the.
top five offensive lines coming out of. week eight of the NFL season are later. in the hour. Excited for the situation. report and everything DB good D. We got. a lot to do for the rest of this. particular program and AJ Hawk will be. joining us. College football playoff. conversation loud. Very loud. Trade. deadline. >> We're on eve here, boys. >> Oh yeah. >> Tomorrow, week nine of the NFL season. kicks off. Let's celebrate the hell out. of that. Let's enjoy this. And speaking. of celebrating, hope everybody uh hope. everybody's excited about h what. happened yesterday. Excited that we're.
past that time of life. >> Yep. >> Feels like I was getting I am not in. that world. On that note, happy we're past that time. of life. Let's enjoy this thing. Be a. friend. Tell friends might change your. life. Goodbye. >> Belle Sessions, who got here at 3:00. a.m. this morning, was the winner. Her. ticket was pulled. And you thought to. yourself immediately, what, Bel? >> I knew I couldn't do it and he was next. to me and he said that he could. So, we're splitting it. >> Okay. So, B Sessions made the decision.
to talk to my man Henry Silver who been. >> Henry got here yesterday at 6:00 p.m. He's been waiting for this moment. Now, Henry, you told her that you could make. it. Why do you think that's the case? Have you ever kicked a ball before? >> I've kicked a ball before. I've played. soccer my whole life. I think I can DO. IT. THIS KICK IS for 150,000. You said you. would split it in half, right? Yes, sir.
>> Okay. So, let's make it 200,000. If you. make it, you will both get 100,000. Where are you from, Henry? >> I'm from Fischers, Indiana. >> Who's your favorite NFL team? >> The Colts. >> Hell yeah, dude. Hell yeah. Come on, bro. Hell yeah. To hell with the. Falcons. Uh, that that was rude. They. didn't deserve that. I like that. HENRY, 33 YARDS, 100,000 FOR YOU, $100,000 FOR. HER, $200,000 TO HURRICANE RELIEF, $400,000 ON THE LINE. HENRY, ARE YOU. READY? >> OF COURSE. >> HAVE YOU EVER SAID ANYTHING BAD ABOUT.
KICKERS? >> Of course. >> Shut up. Let's go. Now, here in Athens, Georgia, it would be beautiful if. $400,000 would be up for grabs. Why. don't we double it because the Georgia. Bulldogs? >> So, eight $800,000. kick right here, Henry. But what I want. to let you KNOW IS YOU'RE NOT GETTING A. SECOND OPPORTUNITY. >> I DON'T CARE IF THIS ENTIRE PLACE STARTS. chanting for a second kick. One kick, 800,000 racks. 400,000 TO HURRICANE.
RELIEF. 400,000 TO you two split 200. GRAND EACH. HENRY SILVER FROM INDIANA. FOR BELL SESSIONS. >> Let's go, Henry. >> COME ON, HENRY. >> OH MY. BUDDY.
>> Let me see this. Let me see this. address. >> That was amazing. >> I mean, he walked in like Henry, >> congratulations, Henry. Congratulations, Bill. Congratulations, Georgia. What a.
morning. College game day is the. greatest. College football's amazing. Bill, YOU JUST WON $200,000. >> The following program is a collection of. stooges talking about happenings in the. sports world. It is meant to be comedic, informative. The opinions expressed on. this show do not necessarily reflect the. beliefs of their peers, their boss, or. ESPN. There may be some cuss words. because that's how humans in the real.
world talk. If you are a young, please. seek permission before watching any. further. >> Hey, let's go. >> This show sticks and the fact that you. listen, we are very, very thankful for. >> McAfee on the line with a gorgeous. assist. >> The alltime leading tackler for the. Green Bay Packers. You pink. stutter. Damn it. >> Your friend, tell a friend something. nice could change their life.
Hello beautiful people and welcome back. to our humble boat the draft kings. thunderdome on this walk Wednesday. November 4th 2026 hour two of this. program begins now. FOOTBALL. >> IT IS THE GREATEST WE'RE SO LUCKY THAT. WE GET a chance to chat about it we just. got an update out of Jack Campbell. through the Detroit Lions social media. he has mobility in his lower body. working to improve movement in his upper.
body. They are saying uh optimism is. high for everything happening over. there. Congrats to Jack Campbell. We. appreciate that. Godspeed, brother. >> Talks here at Boston Connor and at Ty. Schmidt, 9-year NFL vet, host of. situational report and everything DB. Good D, Yukon Husky. Ladies and. gentlemen, Darius J. Butler, >> quarterback, take. >> Joey Feno going to do his thing for the. Baltimore Ravens. 12-year NFL vet, Super. Bowl champion, player coach for the. Tampa Bay Buccaneers. former player.
>> Mhm. >> of the Arizona Cardinals, the Indianapolis Colts, the Baltimore. Ravens, the Philadelphia Eagles. >> What ahead. >> And the Pittsburgh Steelers. >> What a femin. >> and those Russian ears. >> Oh, and well, you won a Super Bowl at. the beginning. I said that. Yeah. So, uh, >> jackass. Just I just got to say that. name again. I like that name. That. Russian ears. >> It was, uh, it was it was a beautiful. way to describe what they did. Uh, Thunderdome Creation. I do believe that. they have turned back the hands of time.
there. And the fact that you don't have. to complete a pass at quarterback. position and he could still win takes a. lot of pressure off. You know, they're. wondering about a backup quarterback. Is. Baker going to be able to play? They had. the Tampa Bay Rays create a glove for. him so he's able to throw. They found. out quickly. His time's going to take a. while. Let's just not have Baker be a. part of the offense other than blocking. and putting us in the right situation. He's been able to do that. They win a. game like it's 1920 football. Maybe a. little bit of rugby football. Obviously, I loved it, right? But I I need to know. if you guys enjoyed watching a game like.
rugby. We're watching rugby, bro. We're. watching rugby. I I respect rugby. I. like rugby, but those guys don't. Pads. on. They're just going at it, you know, and it's a little bit uh sorry, >> more boring of a sport than American. football. I like rugby. I respect rugby. Your tough as hell sport is hard. But. whenever it comes to eyeballs, my. eyeballs, I like NFL football cuz I like. explosives. I like things happening. I. like magic. I like speckies, you know, I. like great catches. I like those types.
of things. But if it's a terrible. weather day and your quarterback can't. grip a football and you're able to win a. game strictly by running, I respect it. But I don't want to be seeing this every. single week. >> There is nothing better than imposing. your will against another man when they. know what you're about to do. >> and you can't do anything about it. >> This is real though. We are in the pound. the rock era right now. Buccaneers don't. complete a pass. They uh outrush the. Falcons by 220. It is a little bit like. the mosquito bull. Steelers outrush the. Browns by 166 yards. Lions outdo the.
Vikings on the ground by 149. Then the. C. That's just this week deep. It does. feel like the pound the rock era very. very real. Which is why we need a one. for Jonathan Taylor at least. But it. sounded like you as a DB uh didn't. really necessarily love the style in. which the Russian ears are. >> Oh no. I've been a part of a game like. that. Wasn't rain, it was snow. Uh play. Buffalo. I want to say maybe the day. after Christmas and Shady McCoy for. whatever reason is the best snow running. back of all time. So just knowing that.
you're in for 1111 inside run all game. long absolutely sucks as a DV. >> Yeah, I mean he had the ball all they. ever talked about was his ball in uh. ball security. There it is. >> Barely fumbled. >> in the snow. That's when it's most. slick. Cold hands, everything like that. He's got the ball out here and he's. somehow crossing people up in the snow. Never slipped. Seemingly never slipped. Pennsylvania guy from Philly goes to. University of Pittsburgh, ends up being. that guy just electrifying up against. the snow. Oh yeah, what a time. >> Shady days in the snow.
>> That was fun to watch. >> Unless you're on the other side of it, I. guess. >> Yep. >> Yeah, we certainly if that was on the. other you. >> Uh, no, it wasn't me. >> Okay, good. That's another snow game. >> No, that's that's that's the game. That. just wasn't me. It was good. We wore. white jerseys. >> Yeah, you guys kind of all blended in. Everybody blends in with the snow. Joining us now is a man who uh I think. respects what the Tampa Bay Rushineers. did. I don't think he necessarily loves. what is about to happen for defenses who. are back in the stick your nose in the.
fan days. Ladies and gentlemen, College. Football National Champion, Super Bowl. champion, Round Cup winner AJ Hawk. >> Hawker, we're pounding the rock. We're. all the way back to that era. The Tampa. Bay Rushers do something we haven't seen. uh since the 1800s maybe in American. football, not completing a pass. professionally. How do you feel about. that? And do we still believe that this. is going to be the way you're going to. win games? And on that note, Swift has. three touchdowns, only rushed for 64. yards, but still has three touchdowns. for the Bears. And Jeffrey Simmons, the. yardage in which when he was on the.
field, not on the field. Are you scared. to death that the Bears might be the. team that's best set up for this entire. operation? >> I mean, I think the Bears are set up. beautifully to to make a run. And I I. think they uh I think they will. continue. They are going to be a tough. foe. The NFC North, I think, is is. really good top to bottom. Yeah, I mean. obviously we're not going to have games. that often where the quarterback doesn't. complete a pass and you still find a way. to win. You run all over your opponent, but uh that's a game I think that I. would I wouldn't mind playing playing in. one of those games. It's like, hey, they're just going to try to pound the. ball all day long. It does suck when as. as AQ says, another man is imposing his.
will against your team when you know. it's coming. Like it's it's very. difficult to get to figure that out. But. I don't want to watch games like this. Like that's not you know, I like to see. some points. I like to see some boom. boom boom shots, explosives, all kill. Yeah, we like all those types of things. He he's the coordinator for the Green. Bay Packers now. So, he's got AJ who's. got his back. And I think it does seem. like you have a little fire in your gut. about that Packers team as well with the. way the NFC North is and linebackers in. this. They know they're running every. single down or do you have to respect a. potential play action over top of you.
every single play? AJ, >> uh, in a game like this with the the. elements and you know, Baker's dealing. with that thing at some point, you know, like, okay, there's there's a very very. good chance they're running this thing. you don't have to you don't have to. worry too much about the pass. But the. thing is like once they get rolling. sometimes when an O line when they get. rolling and you start to like I say all. the time and you think okay here oh I. got to peak I might have the A gap but. if I peak outside in the B gap for a. second because last time he popped out. there all of a sudden you peak bam he. cuts back into your gap. That's what. happens. It's almost like a snowball. effect I think when teams can run on.
you. >> You're talking about your sacrifice. I. don't know if you saw what the. Pittsburgh Steelers Dline had been. doing. Not peaking you know staying with. good lane integrity physical style of. football. They had eight and a half. sacks against Cleveland Browns. AJ, last. night, college football playoff rankings. come out. The first one, Ohio State, big. topic of conversation. Obviously, if. every team continues to win, you're. going to be able to move up and down. this entire ranking. But history tells. us top four probably where you need to. be off the opening ranking to win it. all. How do you feel about the state of. the Buckeyes? And what's the biggest.
takeaway from your state that you used. to be president of? Well, I mean, obviously I think Ohio State being like. the the first team out and all of that. stuff, they're not going to be pumped. about it. But I think they knew like we. know this this is where we are. We got. four tough games left, we have to win. them all. Like that's what you put. yourself behind the eightball by losing. two games. Obviously, your starting. quarterback goes down. Uh but yeah, I. don't think they're shocked at where. they are. I think I don't know is not. are Notre Dame people shocked because. this is this is it for them. Win or win. when or you're not making it against. this Miami game on this weekend. Like. were they expecting to be 11? Yeah, I I.
think pundits expecting them to have to. win Miami game. I I think we all in um. the football universe with microphones. know that Notre Dame has to win this. weekend. Like this is their only shot. I. think the rankings say that as well. because Notre Dame's stipulation with. the college football playoff is if. they're with it because they don't have. a conference championship game. Conference championship games indicate a. ticket punched into the playoffs. So. since they're not a part of conference, if they're ranked in the top 12 of the. college football playoffs, they have an.
automatic bid into the playoff. A lot of. people don't love that. That was a deal. that was negotiated to keep Notre Dame. involved in this, which is obviously a. massive brand, massive amount of fans, massive name, and a lot of money. whenever Notre Dame comes to town. So. the the scary scene right now is Notre. Dame somehow, let's say they lose to. Miami this weekend, but they do what. they did last year, which is dominate. people down the stretch and there's a. bunch of chaos that happens with. everybody else, >> then Notre Dame sitting at 12 in the. College Football Playoff potentially.
>> If they're top 12, they get in there. But remember, the 12th spot in the. College Football Playoff normally goes. to the group of six champion. So they. would actually bump out the 11th place. team. >> Notre Dame would go in and then the. group of six would then go to the 12 uh. 12 seed, which is kind of seemingly what. it has been over the last few years or. so. So there's chaos potential with. Notre Dame, but yeah, they have to win. this weekend, which is kind of the same. story as last year. I don't know, Gumpy,
how do you feel about your Miami. Hurricanes traveling up to South Bend. this weekend? It's a big one, bro. >> Yeah, I think we'll be able to pound the. rock. We just got to stick with the run. Like the worry is offenses have been. able to move the ball on us and we. haven't been making any adjustments. So. I think it is going to be a bit of a. highscoring affair here. >> Yeah. I love what college football is. doing AJ. I love what it's doing. But. once again, all the teams that are in. there can either find themselves out. >> Yeah. Yeah. Favorite. >> But who Miami is five and a half point. favorite? >> No. >> Oh, okay. Here we go.
>> What was that age? You were expecting my. >> I was surprised. No, they're number one. They're undefeated. I just assumed that. they would be the favorite. >> Yeah. Yeah, Notre Dame must win game. actually. So I I think that goes into. account home game. >> Two of the top three Heisman. >> Candace right now with Mensa and. Malachi. >> What do they know? What do they know. that the voters don't? >> It's going to be 37 degrees. >> Beautiful fall night. >> Perfect match. >> Perfect night. >> Perfect for who? >> All the big boys. >> Both teams. >> You think Miami Hurricanes are going to.
be able to travel in 37°? Yep. You. think? Absolutely. you you 37° that's. almost freezing. >> and it's the first one of the year. There really hasn't been a game that's. been close to 37 yet. >> Yeah, I think uh Miami style of play is. aokay for any type of weather, but you. do have to, I guess, take into. consideration the environment up there. in Notre Dame. One of the greatest in. the history of ball. Going to be an. honor to be a part of it. Saturday. morning is College Game Day travels to. Southbend 900 a.m. Eastern. We will be. live with a big one. I mean a huge one.
Miami. >> picker yet? Sorry. >> What's that? >> So, you named a guest picker yet? >> Well, so I don't name any guest pickers. Uh. >> I know you. I mean, you know the. everything. >> I don't think I don't know if they know. Yeah, I don't I'm not 100% sure. Heavenly Lo, >> come on. >> Unfortunately. >> What the hell? >> Heavenly Lo, that's what you're saying. >> Yeah, you don't remember. He died last. year. >> What are you Deep Bunch? I didn't know. I didn't know he could die. >> Me neither. And he hasn't. His spirit. will live on forever, which is what you.
were referring to. >> They're doing light up wristbands for. him at the game on Saturday. >> Is that real? Yeah. Okay. Happy to hear. that. So, Lou Holtz will be there. because his spirit will obviously be. omniresent up there, but I don't think. they've named the guest picker. A lot of. people for Notre Dame. >> Yeah. Ton lot of people from. >> Vince Vaughn. I. >> forgot about Vince Von. Did he do it a. couple years ago? >> Last time. He did it against Ohio State. >> But whenever you start talking about. football players, I mean, he got super. famous football players. And Jerome. Bettis is associated with uh Nerdame, right?
>> Yeah, he played there. I'm sorry, but. his kid is there, right? >> Okay, that that would be I assume he's. going to be in town. >> He had a touchdown last week, actually. >> Oh, the week. >> Rudy. >> Rudy could do it. >> That's a fake story. >> He's available. >> He's still bringing it. >> Rudy Rutiger was just with Lane Kein at. LSU. >> Rudy was with Lane Keifin at LSU. >> Yeah. >> And walk-ons. There's a better chance. they'd bring in Shawn Aston than the. real Rudy Rudy. >> Sure. >> The actor Gamji. >> Yeah.
>> Yeah. Maybe I But on that note, we have. not been told who the guest picker is. >> No. >> Notre Dame though feels like a layup. >> Mhm. >> It should be. >> Feels like it's a layup. It's hard to. get guest pickers in some some weekends. Like people. we feel. that we want to showcase school as much. as possible and school helps. Everybody. helps, but some schedules are just like. impossible, you know, like some some. getting some guy uh some folks to small.
college town, which isn't easy to get. to. Southbend, they they have an airport. up. >> and Chicago's close. >> Yeah. So, you can get them. Some of. these places though, it's like a. two-hour, hour and a half drive from. wherever, even the closest airport and. then there's shows and there's work and. it's Saturday morning. It's a it's a. quite a juggle by the people that are. making that decision. I have a couple. times been tapped in or tagged in and. say, "Hey, do you have anybody or can. you do anything?" It's like I do help, but it is a decision that's made by the. top of top of ESPN and I believe Disney. as well in this thing.
>> Don't you think for this one though, like this would have been a game that at. the start of the year you are circling. It's Catholics versus convicts. Like. there's a lot of history here. Like a. lot of people. like distinguished alumni would return. to Notre Dame for this game. Maybe not. some of the other ones, but I feel like. if you were a former player or like a. celebrity who is associated with Notre. Dame, like you're trying to find a way. to come back to Southbend for this one. >> Yeah, it feels like a big one. Feels. like a big one. And. >> not that game day isn't every week. whenever it's on a campus somewhere, but.
sometimes that decision gets made pretty. quickly. Like I think people knew, >> hey, if everything kind of goes the way. it should. Game day will be in South. Bend for this game. Notre Dame has been. epic for the game days that I've been. very lucky to be a part of up there. It. is a football place and you can feel it. in the buildings as you're walking. around. Can't wait to get back up there. But no, I do not believe a decision has. been made on Picker. We will keep. everybody updated though. You know, we. will. >> Isn't this where you and Isn't this. where you started the field goal kick?
>> I was there when you had an old buddy. drive the goalpost. I remember we did a. show there live Friday and you said the. guy built the goalpost and he was. driving him there that day. >> The guy that built the marquee. Yeah, right. Yeah, >> that is right. >> Yeah, >> farmer. You're like, "Oh, yeah. We have a kid. come kick field goal." I'm like, "Oh, okay." And then look look at you now. >> And he was sitting on a bench. You. remember he was sitting on a bench. He. had driven he worked and built the. uprights cuz these are fullsize. uprights. Built the entire uprights. until like 2 a.m. or whatever. Drove.
them to Southbend. And then as we walked. over, he was sitting on the bench. Did. you see the up like out of a movie? And. it's like, "Yeah, I do. Those are. incredible. Thank you so much. No. problem. Told you we'd get it done and. then he just kind of I think he like. smoked a cigarette and disappeared. >> I drove away I think I think is what he. did. So we we thank that man. I forget. his name. >> He was such a He built this marquee too. Came in once again. I think he had a. sig. >> Oh yeah. >> Looked at the wall. >> I could do that. Four days. Pops up with.
this entire metal marquee with the. lights on the top of it. Drops it. Puts. it up on the wall. says, "Hey, that's. good." And then walks away, just goes. back to wherever the [ __ ] farm he's. from. He is remarkable, that lad. We'd. like to say thank you to him. Yeah, I. guess it was where it all started. >> That's crazy. >> It's the opportunity to end it, too. Full circle moment, having to break it. down, smoke a sig, and that just. >> saw off the uprights. >> Take a moment, guys. >> It' be a full circle moment.
>> for Steve down there. Just. >> that would be a good way for it all to. kind of wrap up. Something to think about. We see. Stanford attempt one. Something to think. about, Fox. >> That's a good call. But that is a good. call because that would be a good. football life. >> Yeah. >> Great football life. >> Touchdown G's right given. >> Exactly. 30 for 30 on that one day. >> You can donate it to the university. >> The uprights. >> Yeah. >> We're going probably keep that around. though if I had. >> Yeah. Put it up somewhere. >> Oh yeah. Actually, no. Yeah. Put that. up. >> Yeah. Yeah. >> With that wood from the lagoon.
>> Holy hell. Sege Geek. >> tickets are 970 buck average to get in. >> to this weekend. 91% of buyers coming. from outside of Indiana, which obviously. Notre Dame has a lot of fans from. outside. Miami is obviously outside. More tickets are being purchased by. Florida residents than Indiana. residents. A lot of Not Notre Dame. people down in Florida as well. So I'm. not necessarily saying that. Uh showing. just how far fans are willing to travel. for this matchup. They're willing to get. to South Bend one. >> Big brother, Big Mitch will be there. >> The game is Oh yeah.
>> Okay. So he's one of these people, like. Ty said, had this circle. >> The game is turning into a destination. event with fans traveling across the. country and driving prices through the. roof, says CGeek. Right now, you use Pat. McAfee, Pat McAfee. You can get $30 off. Some restrictions apply. Obviously 30 is. not going to do much of a dent there, too. See, >> buy a couple beers at the game. >> Yes, it certainly will. Probably one and. a half. >> One, actually, if you get a souvenir. cup. >> Wait, I saw with prices for some stuff. Yeah.
>> Today there was a big. >> Yeah. >> Right. >> Bit of a change. Yeah. >> What happened? >> Was that age? >> We know you don't want to talk. >> You know what happened. >> We know you don't want to talk about it. >> Phone of do not disturb. >> I saw I saw some people I I didn't know. if it was on every ballot or not. Did. you hear they were voting to vote me off. of game day yesterday? >> I did see what the show was talking. about. >> Yeah, that's a pretty big one. I think. that particular show.
>> Oh yeah. >> Oh yeah. >> I popped out of So I' I've been staying. off of X. Okay. Just it's been pretty. mean on there, you know, and everybody's. calling me a snowflake and everything. It's like, okay. Yeah. [ __ ] All right. Yeah. I guess this is me being soft. A. lot of exports media people chiming in. I appreciate that. I'm sure you're very. similar to the situation I'm in. It is. uh it is very fun. I've been kind of. utilized in the political world. I did. not know that that was going to happen. in my life. I've uh you know I guess. initiatives never a candidate and uh I.
think because of that I don't really. have a lot of people like getting my. back in that world either. So I've just. kind of pissed off all parties in in. that particular realm and boy I learned. my lesson. I'm going to let you know. that that is going to be a world that I. am going to be dabbling away from in. every particular world. But yeah old old. cup of coffee yesterday that was a crazy. that was a crazy thing to wake up to. And then I got a bunch of messages last. night telling me, "Do you see [ __ ]. You've been voted off college game day.".
It's like, I didn't know that was on the. ballot. I had no idea. But I am sorry. I. am sorry that that is the case. And we. will go forward. Jeez Louise. >> But I would like to say congrats. Everybody won. >> That's right. >> Hell yeah. >> Way to go. >> Thanks. Mark Tara won. He's in. >> Congrat. I DON'T KNOW. I'M NOT SAYING. IT. I I DON'T KNOW WHAT THE [ __ ] he's. been. I'm saying as a he's been on the. show as a sportsman and whatever he's. running for he he got it. >> Nope. I'm not doing anything. You you do. any of that. That means I am alongside. everything that happens in the history.
I am out on all of it. I just want to. >> huge for the baseball game though. >> Huge. >> Especially with the CBA looming. >> That's a game changer. >> I mean there's but. >> he's going to hit eight home runs in. that baseball game. >> Yeah. >> Might pitch a perfect game. >> Let him play. >> What? >> Nah. He's a perennial all-star Yankee. legend. No way they're going to let him. play. >> He's hitting for three cycles in that. game. >> Mitch McConnell on the bump. >> Got to let him. >> I can't believe they do full pitching.
They do do full pitching the DH. >> Mitch McConnell's out there pitching. >> Yeah, he's on the bump versus Sherah. >> I thought he was the closer. I thought. he was the closer. I. >> think he does both. I think you can. leave and then come back in. >> I didn't know that. That's where uh. that's the only time we should be. dabbling in any of those conversations. going forward is whenever they do the uh. baseball. >> the baseball game all. >> the we should do an Nope. No, we should. not do an all cast. >> That would be awesome. >> Just know message received. Okay. Message received. And I don't I don't.
think I've ever looked into what. political party I'm affiliated with, but. boy, I know which one hates me more. I'. I've been I've been experiencing that in. real time. But don't get it twisted. There's some on that other side that. [ __ ] hate my guts, too. So, it has. been a uh it has been a fun run and. congrats to everybody who won and. everybody went out there and voted. A. lot of things have happened in our. history to be able to vote. I'm happy. we've exercised that and we are still. democracy moving forward. Life is good. Let's continue to live that way. Uh. let's talk a little bit about uh. football in a different light. Let's.
dive in. Let's learn more. Let's be an. asset to society and to the sports. society. Ladies and gentlemen, it's time. for Debut's situational report. Debbot with a sit rep here in a suit. What do we need to learn a little bit. more about or look into a little bit. deeper? >> Now, it was pretty early on in the sit. rep uh life, but we got our first backto. back sit rep and that's Joe Burrow. Had. an unbelievable day. Now, he did throw. three interceptions to the same guy, Monty Hooker. I wish he could have been. on everything DB, but Titans didn't pull. off the victory, so he cannot. But he.
had he went 38 for 48, five touchdowns. in the air, one rushing touchdown, 462. yards. Let's get right to it. This is. him. Second quarter, third and 18. It's. a problem whenever you have that. two-headed monster out there, T. Higgins. and Jamar Chase. When you're that deep. safety or you're calling coverages, you. got to figure out which way am I going. to lean. Now, I don't know what the hell. the Titans were doing here. It was tough. to decipher this actual coverage. It. looks like early on they're going to. cloud Jamar Chase, but no, you got a. corner and press and that safety that's.
over top, he's actually going to rotate. down and I believe the corner was. supposed to be the deep third guy here, but he gets ran by. But watch Joe. Burrow's pocket awareness and you saw. this last week. He steps up in the. pockets. It's about 10 yards from the. line of scrimmage at this point. He's. going to make this throw from the 30. yardd line. Stepping up, staying. composed, remaining a passer, and on a. dot to number one in the middle of the. end zone. Just a phenomenal uh pass and. great pocket awareness by Joe Burl. Moving on to the next play. Uh third. quarter, first and 10. This is uh looks.
like quarters coverage. Now quarterback, safeties, we talk about leverage all the. time. You can just look at the bodies on. the inside of this corner right here. He. got T. Higgins at the bottom of the. screen. All of your help is inside. So. you have to maintain this outside. leverage. Much easier said than done. Rarely do you see a guy as big as T. Higgins run routes like these. Like. that. That's an unbelievable right route. for a big man. And once again, great. throw. >> What a throw. The anticipation, that. thing's like handed to him on a platter. >> Absolutely. These are the toughest. throws for quarterbacks to make. This is.
the one of the throws that you look at. when you say, "Hey, the quarterback can. make all the throws." That deep. outbreaker because if you're late on. that, that gets picked off and goes 99. the other way. Just phenomenal throw. once again. And now this is fourth. quarter. First and 10. Oh, that's the. same play. Here we go. Fourth quarter. First and 10. Now you got coverage once. again. Where is this coverage going to. go? Where's the deep coverage? Now, this. is going to be an invert half. So, those. two guys highlighted, those will be the. deep half safeties. And now you're going. to use Jamar Chase. Boom. Now, he's. going to be kind of a decoy. Okay. So, now number one, obviously, he's going to.
take eyes. You got pressure. Boom. You're looking at number one. Now, you. have two guys on number one. You kind of. have those split safeties who's a corner. at the bottom of the field and a safety. up top. So, two guys, eyes go to Jamar. Chase. And now you have Mike Gaseki who. seems to find the end zone every week in. this offense. Once again, you got to. worry about number one. You got to worry. about number five. You lose 88. sometimes, but nine is going to find him. anytime he's running open down the. field. >> Do you think they don't respect aki. because of the gritty? >> Uh, it's not. You know what? Going into. the game, going into the game as a DB, as a defense, the Dcoordinator is.
probably going to say, "Hey, Mike's got. to beat us. Chase Brown's got to beat. us. All these other guys have to beat. us. We can't let number one or number. five beat us. Chase and Higgins will be. the game records week in and week out. And number 88, Gaseki, has been finding. the end zone week in and week out. Yeah, he's making. >> five straight games with a touchdown, I. believe. For. >> that's who eats. That's like whenever. you bring in Jeffrey Simmons, everybody. else next to him meets. Whenever you. bring in uh a wide receiver or you have. two ones, usually you would say like one. A or one B meets, let alone three. The.
third guy, fourth guy, they're getting. one-on- ones every time, maybe one on. nuns as they go out there. >> And now, once again, this is a uh three. under, three deep pressure right here. So when you're that deep post defender, you always have to make a decision when. these guys are on opposite sides. Where. am I going to go? Nine times out of 10, most deep safeties are going to try to. get over Jamar Chase and that's going to. leave one-on-one opportunities that Joe. Burrow is going to find. So as soon as. that safety in the middle of the field. open those hips and those numbers go the. other way, Nine knows exactly where he's. going with this ball, he's still got to.
be on time and on target, which Nine. almost always is. And then you see him. do it with his arms. Rarely do you see. him do it with his legs. So, right now, uh, this one, first and goal, overtime. is pretty much the game winner. You're. going to have man-to-man coverage across. the board. Once again, pocket awareness, awareness of the pressure. Sees it. breaks down. Once he's at the top of the. route and escapes the pressure, you look. around the field, everyone's kind of. covered. T. Higgins will break free. late, but everyone's covered. And as a. defense, we're never putting a spy on. Joe Burrow. We're never worried about. the run. As soon as you don't worry.
about it, he's athletic enough to get. out of the pocket and scamper into the. end zone. Jose complete control. just an. absolute field general on the field. And. rarely do you see a guy have a type of. day like this throwing three. interceptions. I believe he still had. like a 115 passer rating, but you got 38. for 48, five touchdowns, 462 yards. So, this is backto-back weeks now. I think. nine touchdowns over the last two weeks. with Joe Burrow. He's hitting stride. >> Absolutely absurd. AJ, you said you're. tired of people saying they can't win. this way. I think Debb just broke down. Yes, they can. Especially if this is how.
they are constructed with the amount of. weapons and who they invested in. I do. worry that you have to have a run game. at some point. I do worry that. But AJ, you want to bat for this particular. style maybe being able to win at all. >> Yeah, I think that we've heard people. say we've heard Dano even say like, "Hey, you got to have a run game." But. even guys like that are abandoning and. say, "No, they're so good and so. explosive in their pass game that you. don't have to truly like get feed the. running back, especially if it's not. working." But yeah, just I also. brilliant play design. Multiple times. here from from Zack Taylor and their.
offensive staff. Like this is awesome. how they're moving Chase around. And. you're right, Debo. What a route right. there by T Higgins. Big tall lanky guys. like him cannot run that route ever. >> Yeah. And Joe Burrow can make every. single throw. You know, Dan Olowski. alluded to it after saying like uh cuz I. was very loud about you got to be able. to run the ball especially we're in the. pound of rock era. So maybe they are the. outlier as opposed to the norm in this. particular season. So teams having to. get ready for them in the playoffs might. be difficult. Like hey we we got we've. been pounding pounding pounding then all. of a sudden out of nowhere we got this. widespread offense coming right down our.
throats. Maybe they'll be able to catch. people in the playoffs. I don't know. I. I I'm not I love Joey Burrow. I think. they're the most talented. Jamar Chase, T. Higgins. I just think in those. playoff games, >> this is how Burrow wanted to build a. team, though. >> I know. I guess look at that throw. >> Yeah. I mean, if he if he can continue. to play at this, you can protect him. And obviously the turnovers are. something you can't have. Hooker made. some great plays, but you can't have. those turnovers. But yeah, this would be. the team. This would be the outlier, especially if they're going to play. better on defense. Now, playoff time,
let's say they have home field, I would. assume you're going to deal with some. type of element. So, that's where the. run game usually post Thanksgiving comes. more into play, but we've been talking. about the pound the rock era kind of all. season long. So, you have to be I think. have some type of manageable uh run. game, but I mean, if they get lucky with. weather throughout the playoff run, yeah, it'll be tough to stop number nine. and those guys on the outside. >> The time of possession conversation's. real too and it all. I mean, you bring. in Dexi. Dexi changes the tenor of the. entire D line. So, if they can stop the. run, I guess you don't have to be able.
to run in the playoffs. AQ, you're in. the trenches. Your thoughts on this. style being able to win in the Lord year. 2026? >> Yeah, he's incredible. There's no. question about it. What Joe Burrow has. done is incredible. And and what's crazy. to me is how good that offensive line is. at pass protection and how bad they are. at run blocking. It's kind of crazy to. me to see the the difference between the. two amongst that offensive line, but I. just do not think it's sustainable. I. think there's going to be a day, yes, he. was over overcome it against a shitty. Titans team, but you throw three picks. against a good team, you can't you can't.
you can't win like that. >> Okay, picks are another thing, but how. about just being such a passoriented uh. team? Now, we just saw it on Monday. night with Jeffrey Simmons that a pass. game can get wrecked by one guy having. the biggest game of his life. But Joe. Burrow has won playoff games in the past. after taking 11 sacks. Did that against. the Tennessee Titans. They were still. able to win. Bates was still on the. defensive side. They're much better than. they had been, but it's going to be. tough, man. If they pull it off, >> complete 73% of his passes.
>> If and then you'll see a bunch of teams. try to copy what the Bengals are doing. Then we'll be caught in the middle of. teams going back to the old era while. saying, "Well, wait a minute. The Super. Bowl champions just did this." It could. be a really, really confusing time for. teams that are trying to build right now. in real time for the future. And maybe. this is just people saying this and it's. not actually how the the Bengals feel, but you would think with all the the. conversation about like, hey, the. Bengals are eyeing like someone like. Jonathan Taylor. Like that would. indicate maybe that they kind of.
understand too that this isn't. sustainable. Like we need to have some. sort of run game because at some point. in the in the playoffs like you're going. to need to go on long sustained drives. like and you're going to need to control. the clock a little bit. can't just. assume that you're going to score 50. points a game and beat teams that way. >> Yeah, I I'm pulling for him though. It's. electric. >> It's fun to watch. So fun to watch. >> It is electric. But it does kind of just. go against everything. Now, winning. regular season games definitely. We got. no The reason why it's always compared. against playoffs and Super Bowl is.
because when push comes to shove, you're. going to be playing the best teams and. the best teams potentially have the best. Dline. They have the best uh secondary. They have the best That's what the. playoff That's why it's always the. comparison. It's like, can you win in. the playoffs? Can you win a Super Bowl. game playing like this? TBD, why not? >> Who would be those teams this year? >> Like the defenses that I guess you were. worried about in the top. Buffalo, you. would assume that they'll be there. >> New England, Pittsburgh. >> I would. Jacksonville. >> I mean, everybody basically outside of. >> That's why I like the Titans. But look.
at those teams. I mean, all of them have. good defenses really except for the. Buffalo Bills. But even the Bills, like. they're the one team who like they would. be able to go possession for possession. score with the Bengals. And they have a. dominant running game as well. >> That would be 100 to 98. The Bills. versus the Bengals. That'd be a lot of. fun. But Sexy Dexi says, "Hold on now. We do have a defense. We just might not. have a run game." So I I'm I'm very. intrigued by the playoff setup, but I.
think you're going to have to be able to. run the rule. But. >> AQ, I got a quick question for AQ. Is it. possible, AQ, that they say they have. one or two games where they kind of put. it together and they have a guy that. rushes for 120 or 150. Is it possible. they could be like unlocked and all of a. sudden they could figure it out a little. bit? >> Yeah, but they continue to try AJ and. they they can't. They I mean they even. tried in the first half against the. Titans. >> Why don't we go 60 linemen? >> Yeah. I mean, again, same thing. They. just for whatever reason those guys are. bu I mean, they're massive humans. I. mean, they're two left tackles, you. know, it's Orlando Brown on the one side. and then and then Mims on the other. They are massive humans. They're they.
stand up tall. They are built to pass. protect. For whatever reason, the. interior guys cannot get the run game. going. And listen, I think the way to. beat them is to is to light it up and. heat them up on defense. And now you get. the ball out of their hands quick. They. can't push the ball down the field when. you go eight up and seven up and do all. the stuff that Flores does. >> Okay. So, we'll see if the Cincinnati. Bengals can defy all trends this year. and football basically since the. beginning in late playoff and Super Bowl. football. We're pulling for him. Sher. just reported some breaking news. Uh Sam.
Darnold out vers Arizona due to a quad. injury. Okay. Arizona Cardinals. That's. good football team. >> Might be better off for them. >> So we got Mchu Mania vers Drew Lock. coming right down the pipe. Your. thoughts? Have you done any preparation. for this game as you are the color. commentator for the Arizona Cardinal? >> Yeah, I I actually have and this. actually like makes my preparation a. little bit easier because we had Drew. Lock in the first game. So uh if you. don't remember, he hit a double mood to. Jackson Smith and Jigba on the first. pass of the game for like 80 yards. So, um I'm not sure this is a good thing. because again they've uh they've had a.
better they they protect the ball. better. There's less interceptions when. Drew Lock's been in the game. They lean. on the run game. They got all their. running backs back and they got a pretty. good offensive line. So, uh not sure. this is what Cardinals fans are were. hoping for. >> Well, Mike McDonald also, we haven't. really seen them come off an. embarrassing loss on prime time. Like, we haven't seen this team have to. respond after getting embarrassed. Eman. Wor and that defense, how are they gonna. we assume they're gonna have their best. game that they've had after what. happened on Monday night. motivation and. uh kind of embarrassment can certainly. motivate a team. Now Drew Lock's a.
quarterback. I think your first reaction. was better or somebody over here said. better. >> Um I mean usually you know my take on. most backup quarterbacks at some point. they're going to show why they are a. backup quarterback but Drew Lock played. great when he was in there. He was I. think that was the first sit rep we had. with JSN and Drew Lock was at. quarterback on all those big third downs. and those uh red area touchdowns. So, I. think the team is going to be confident. running out of the tunnel with Drew. Lockach at the helm. And like you said, that defense getting beat up, especially. after the week they had against Kansas. City to show up and and not only it. wasn't like Caleb just had a phenomenal.
night. He had a very the best night a. quarterback has had against the Seattle. defense, but they beat him up when they. got in the red area. Whenever they. wanted or wanted or needed to run the. ball, they did. And that's kind of where. the Seahawks hang their hat. The one. thing that I think will be very. interesting in this game is they got. torched in the first game whenever. Seattle it was it was a close game up. till half and then Smith and Jay I think. had three touchdowns and the Seattle. just ran away with it. First half of the. season the Cardinals were only blitzing. at like 25%. Since that moment since. like week four they're blitzing at like. 42% and the defense has been so much.
better. >> AJ, that's a trend of the league as. well. Running the rocking and blitzing. Feels like blitzing is the new fad. >> Yeah. Try to get the ball out of the. quarterback's hands, you know, like. don't let him take those shots. downfield. We all know that. And it. yeah, I don't know. It's all a thing. Like we we know it's whatever your. philosophy is. A lot of guys I've heard. I mean you heard Payton talk about it. He would love he loved to get blitz. because boom he knows where his answers. are all the time. He didn't like when. they would rush or rush three drop eight. because you're sitting back and there's. no real windows opening. So like. whatever your philosophy is but if you. are going to blitz like you got to get. home. Like there's plenty of teams and.
places out there like where they do. blitz but if you don't get home like. you're screwed. >> Mchu mania you know. >> Yeah. >> he's not bad. Mchu will definitely know. what's happening on the other side of. the field. Now, will it be enough? We. shall see. Especially against the. Seahawks team. Remember Drew Lock week. two against the Cardinals? He went 19 to. 26 for 235 yards and three touchdowns. Shout out to Field Yates for pulling. that up as quickly as they did. And Drew. Lock and Shake, too. >> Mhm. >> Called it my bodyguard. >> Yeah, that's my bodyguard. >> Drew Lock Moxy through the roof. They.
were never going to trade him for. reasons like this, which is a part of. the quarterback conversation as well. around the league. Kirk Cousins getting. traded. Everybody thinks it would be. great. It's like, do you think they want. to do that right now with how the. Raiders are playing with Fernando? You. don't think they want Kirk still be a. backup? Well, what if you're able to get. something from him? Jacobe Brassette. starts for the Arizona Cardinal. Signs a. deal to be the Cardinals new. quarterback. Uh he he gets pulled. Mchu. goes crazy. He gets benched immediately. They're like, he's getting traded out of. town. It's like, well, you don't think. they want another good quarterback. behind him. Well, they got Carson Beck. It's like, do they know if Carson Beck's.
a guy? A lot of decisions to be made at. that quarterback position, especially. when injuries pop up out of nowhere. Well, I think the difference uh with the. Jacobe thing is the fact that they made. him the third. I think that's the. biggest difference, right? Like whenever. you look at Fernando, if they were to. say, "Okay, we're going to go to. Fernando Mendoza and make Kirk Cousins. the three," then yeah, then he's trade. Then then he's tradable, right? But I I. just think whenever you make that move. and all of a sudden now, okay, we've. we've went to Mchu and you make Beck the. two, and now Jacob's the three, I do. think that is on the table now. >> Okay, other news coming out of. quarterback departments. Browns. quarterback Deshawn Watson, uh, he's.
been placed in a concussion protocol. This happens on a Wednesday. He did get. checked during the game. Uh came back. out. They said he was good Monday, Tuesday. It happening Wednesday. Bit. scary. I've had teammates that have. reported concussion from a Sunday game. on like a Thursday or Friday. And that. means that things have been lingering. and things have continued to happen when. they don't normally happen. So. obviously, God speed to the brain there. for Deshun Watson. Shador Sanders, who. got in the game this past weekend, now. going to be the starter for the. Cleveland Browns as they take on the New. Orleans Saints. Saints favored by three.
down in New Orleans. uh with Shadore at. the helm here. So I mean the Browns just. lose to the Pittsburgh Steelers. Now you. got backup quarterback coming in when. everybody was talking about how Deshawn. had been doing. Will this slow down the. Monk Ken train that has been uh kind of. taking over the convo in the AFC North? We shall see. Other news around uh CJ GJ. has been released from the Buffalo Bills. after he got suspended for spitting. He. got brought into the Buffalo Bills to. bring an attitude to the defense. He. certainly did that. They've now released. him. Does that scare you? What does that.
tell you about the Buffalo Bills, debut? >> Uh, no, that wouldn't scare me. If. you're releasing a good football player, that means you feel confident about the. other guys that can get on the field. Gino Stone, he made some plays uh last. week against the Ravens. Um, so yeah, that that wouldn't scare me. >> A Buffalo last night in some action. We're down 3116 in the fourth quarter. 9. minutes left. Let's go ahead and eat. Jason Morrow. Touchdown. A chance. Morrow. There's a chance. Those boys. know each other pretty well. That gets. it to 3124.
Uh uh Jason Moore, sorry, that gets it. to 3124 after two-point conversion. happens. And then boom, Jason Moore runs. it in for two yards. 3131. Buffalo. kicker Oliver Hton. >> Wow. >> Oh no. Jason Wright's quarterback's. name. Got it wrong on sheet. That's on. us. Chance Morrow, not his brother. It's. actually a different last name. Jason. Wright is the quarterback. We apologize. to. >> Would have been a cool story though. >> Yeah, it's incredible. We apologize. there. And nonetheless, Buffalo mental.
toughness in some action. And you want. to talk about mental toughness, uh, Winnipeg Jets, they were down 40. 40. What? >> Yes. In the third to Montreal. Montreal. scored the fourth. In the third, Winnipeg would go on and go crazy. All. within a 2 and 1/2 minute period in. overtime. Dylan Samberg would score the. game winner. So sports brought it last. night. Shout out to Jason Wright. >> This guy's unbelievable for Buffalo. >> Not the former president of the. Commanders. No. Well, shout out to him, too. He's probably in the middle of. something very important right now, so.
we're pulling for him. Shout out to. sports being so spectacular every single. day. We're incredibly lucky that we get. a chance to chat about him. Be a friend. Tell a friend some nice might change. their life. Big day with big shrikes. Break it down a big play. He's uh he. says, "Yep, nailed it. Got it in there.". >> Mhm. >> [ __ ] said it. >> Yeah. Big day, didn't I? >> With big shrimp. >> No, I don't think Yeah, you got it. >> I got it in there, right? >> Sure. >> I heard it. >> I definitely promoted the show. They put. their leather jackets on yesterday. They. did. >> Oh, they did once the fans came on. >> Yeah, he okayed it, I think. And then.
wrap said, "Give me that thing." Put it. back on it. I looked at their graphics. >> and I know this is probably information. you all know. It's big day with Peter. Shreger. >> Yeah. Yeah. >> No, it's not. >> Did you? >> I haven't seen that. I've only I saw Big. Day with Big Shrekes and big three is. all capitalized, too. This is me. actually thinking that was the name. This is one of those things. >> It's never been with big shrikes, but we. kind of just said it'd be better if it.
was. >> So, the song is. >> Big Day with Big Shreds. >> breaking down all of the big plays. >> That's good. >> No. Yeah, for sure. And I would guess if. you did a straw pull of 100 people, 80. people would tell you it's big big play. with big shrikes. >> No, big huh. >> YouTube also says it's the Shreger hour. So, do we really know what. >> this is podcast? >> That's a different show. >> The Shreger Hour. >> It's big day. >> with Big Shakes. Should they I mean, I.
saw the graphic, you know, cuz Peter. Shger sent a message. Uh, very kind of. him. We appreciate Tres. We actually. kind of miss Shakes on the show now that. he has a show immediately following us. Can't really stop by as much. I saw a. graphic though and I did a whole Wow. I. was with McKenzie. for a. >> I showed it to her. It's not big. She can't read yet. >> It's not big day with big shrikes. It's. big day with Peter Shreger. >> It should be though. That just. continually is a miss day in day out.
>> And it's not too late. It's not too late. to change the name of that. >> No one would even know if they did. change it. >> No, but it's clearly not. >> I mean, this is what I saw yesterday. >> They would know. >> It's right there at the bottom with. Peter Shreger. I was mind blown. Shrekes is [ __ ] 69. >> People forget that. >> He's huge. >> And it is a big day. >> It's a big day with big. >> and he breaks down. >> all the big plays. >> Mhm.
>> We'll get that right next time. >> FaceTime him right now and see if you. can get him before the. >> Oh, try him. >> He's a [ __ ]. >> Isn't he a former like a. >> He's a profession. He's got that thing. under lock and key during the show. Airplane mode. He's about to do an open. right now in 30 seconds. >> Oh, that'd be awesome. We should start. with you're on FaceTime. >> Yeah, right. Big Day with Big Strikes. has a mapped out opening that doesn't. need to be adjusted 30 seconds on.
>> Yeah, they might be doing the intros. >> And also, we shouldn't be talking about. openings. Our openings was black screen. to ESPN today. >> Well, we got [ __ ] EMP dropped on us. before the show. >> AJ tried to take us down. >> That's impressive. You guys made it. happen, >> Bruce. It was We didn't really make it. I I mean, it was it was pretty terrible. television and uh we didn't end up in. there and we sprinted over and we. couldn't hear each other or see. anything, but we did certainly exist in. that moment, you know, and that's.
>> it was on it was on YouTube like right. off the bat. >> Yeah. And they were running commercials. at the start, so it wasn't as u mumbled. >> Yeah. So, it just looks like man, these. advertisers wanted really in at the top. of the hour. >> Exactly. >> That's what it was. JJ Walt wasn't happy that I forgot that. we moved him to 110. Did you hear about. this whole thing? >> I was I was a little surprised because I. thought he was slated for 110 as well, but I said what? Why not? >> I forgot completely as we were getting. into my sacrifice. I was like, "All.
right, it's getting to 20 minutes in. We. told Jage we'd be there. I forgot we. moved in 110." Hit to Bruce. Hey, hit up. Jade. Let's get him right after this. And Bruce looks at me with a face and he. goes, "Okay." And then he calls him and. then we're just doing our thing. Sacrifice. We're singing. Bang. Perfect. And Bruce goes, "Dave isn't necessarily. thrilled about this whole double dip, switch back to 12:30 thing." I think he. caught him off guard a little bit. And. I'm like, "What's that?" And then. immediately. forgot we moved him to 110. Can you tell. him that I completely forgot in the. middle of the chaos that we moved him to. 110 or whatever? Bruce like, "You got.
it." And then Bruce didn't tell him I. forgot about it. So I felt obligated to. tell him immediately upon jumping on. there. >> Bruce, >> he's saying Bruce got a job to do, too. It's not just necessarily easy for him. just to be texting back there while he's. punching back between computers. >> Yeah, I was yelling at him to pull a. graphic up while that was all going on. >> Foxy, he was in the gym. He was quite. the intimidating. >> Yeah, he was working out. That's why he. was saying. >> I need to go now. You said one thing. I. need 75 minutes to [ __ ] get this. workout in, let alone 32 minutes for a. warm-up. Yeah, we apologize, J. Chaos.
>> Yeah. What are you going to do? >> He was locked in. >> It's right there on that screen. Big day. with Peter Shreger. I'm watching Heather. Dennis there. Jax there. I mean, it's all over that. thing. Oh, Gafo just came out from back. behind a wall. >> He looks cool. >> Yeah, big intros. >> What do you mean like a magic trick or. just they introed him and he came out as. a [ __ ]. >> He did kind of feel like, oh, lookie. here and he popped out from behind the. wall and said, "Hey, how you doing?". Went right into a break. Oh, and Kyle. Branch just got introduced out of the. sidewall, too. >> Sick jacket. >> Yeah, they do that every day. >> Golly, I NEVER GET TO SEE any.
>> I know. I see it cuz I have my monitors. here, so it's on there. >> I never get to see any of this. That was. uh. >> clean. >> Thank you. >> It's interesting though having you do. playbyplay when I can't see it. It is. like makes me want to watch the show. >> Well, it's a big day with Peter Shriker. Take a break on the other side. >> That's the same ring. >> We got top five offensive lines coming. out of week eight of the NFL season. We. also have. >> good D from around the league. Dut. How. has defense been? >> Uh pretty good. Pretty good. I I do hate.
when somebody has a great performance. once again like Ammani Hooker and they. don't get the win. So I can't highlight. him, but it's been some good defense. around the league. >> Yeah, take an L, you can't really take a. parade. >> I mean, a hat-tick is a natural hat. He. is. >> impressive. >> Pretty filthy. >> Yeah, especially off Joe Burrow, too. >> But hey, it happens. >> No Jeffrey Simmons either, so. >> N. >> It's crazy how that team looked first, how the Colts looked. >> Yeah. I mean, >> yeah. Cam War best day as a pro. >> That's different. Bob Salah is a leader.
of men. Oh yeah, >> Stiken can draw up a touchdown. He. didn't. He drew up one. And I and I'm a stick. with Stiken guy. >> But it's tough when that happens and the. guy comes out after the game like we got. freaking out, coach. They ran circles. around us. >> I mean, that's him doing a little. countability, which we like him doing, but. >> true. >> It was very evident that nobody really. cared that they were Indianapolis Colts, you know. >> No, still don't. >> Yeah. Which is.
>> That's not true. >> So many games. We'll see him later. Sunday is going to be madness. >> Someone that care. >> How many people show up on Sunday? >> We'll see it on on on. defense. >> Oh, nice. Okay. >> They don't give a [ __ ] man. They don't. give a damn. >> Indianapolis does that place. >> I think Quinton actually liked being a. Colt. Like Quinton allegedly tough. decision, tough conversation telling him. he's getting traded to Forest Buckner.
Unbelievable. We were very grateful for. him. Happy we're letting him go have. success somewhere. He said he thanked. God. >> He couldn't wait to get here. >> Dropped to his knees. >> right away. >> Dropped to his knees and thank the. heavens. >> Then he got the rest of the guys still. playing out there. It's like we don't. give a [ __ ] about this team. What are we. talking about? >> And quite frankly, right now, how could. you? >> Cuz you're a professional and this place. has been very good to you and has paid a. lot of people on that [ __ ] roster who. haven't won a lot of things. booking. their trips to Cabo already, right?
>> Double A is going to get the boys going. >> I love Double A. I'm happy we paid. I'm. like thankful we paid him and kept him. around. So, at least the next whatever. iteration of the Colts are, at least we. have somebody who seemingly cares a. little bit. >> But golly, that was tough to watch, bro. Nobody gave a [ __ ] Then you start. thinking about like the community. Like, is the community going to take a big hit. once all these guys are It's like I. don't know. I don't know. I know Pton Manning has a children's. hospital here.
I mean. >> Dan Jones played in that softball game. >> Yeah, which we love. That was the first. time that has happened in. >> years. >> Years. So Daniel Jones I like. >> a bunch of Colts did actually. >> Yeah, they were there and we lost that. game but. >> we have lost community guys. >> Ashen Duel and Kent Ketchup. Moore, Zary Franklin like all these guys. are bringing the community. Kenny Moore, he decided just not to play anymore. >> Where's he at now? >> Philly.
>> Said, "I don't want to play, dude. If. this is going to be it, I don't want to. do it.". >> Like, are you going to sign with another. team? I don't know. I got to really. [ __ ] assess some things. I think he. goes and play. It's like he's one of our. He was our He was our Walter Payeyton. >> Yeah. >> Everybody but double A go. >> And Kaden Curry, good player. I like. her. He's from city though. He'll he'll. present for the city at least. >> Show a little bit of care. Like. >> Joe Milton starting for the Eagle.
Sunday. >> I just came through the wire. >> Really? >> Wow. >> Yeah. >> That's exciting. >> It's kind of sweet. Bazooka Joe. >> play. >> Legit. >> Mike Chapel. We'll definitely talk about. Joe Milton uh be named starter. Cannot. wait to watch him. He's an incredible. talent. Mike Chapel has been covering. the Indianapolis Colts forever. I think. he's okay. Happy anniversary. Uh times. two the Colts cornerback sauce Gardner. November 4th he was traded from Jets to. Colts and composed to his girlfriend on. flight to Indie. She said.
>> those are good times. Those are good. days. >> Nice. >> Happy anniversary guys. What a [ __ ]. [ __ ] Mike. >> What are you celebrating? What do you. mean? >> Sgard is a great player. Hopefully we. keep him around and hopefully he's. healthy and able to play. But I don't. know if he wants to play for the Colts. either. I don't know anybody that really. Grover Stewart. People are talking about. get rid of Grove. Grove might be the. only guy that cares about the goddamn. team. >> He's really good. >> I want to play for the Colts.
>> What's today? Oh, he missed it. >> There you have it. >> Who's going to want to coach for the. Tuesday? >> I want to do that, too. >> Riley Leonard loves the Colts. >> Okay. What position do you want him to. play? Quarterback. >> Hback. >> Okay, I'll do that. I'm I'm down with. that. Anthony Richardson got in there in. fourth quarter. at least look like he. could. >> even if he doesn't have a clue what the. plays are, which I don't I genuinely. don't know. I don't know at this point. what is and what isn't, he can at least. get in there and run for his life and we. can maybe watch them. They got [ __ ].
killed by the Jag. I I mean just. >> boat race. >> What are the Cowboys going to do this. weekend in Lucas Oil? >> They stink too. >> Think about the intros. People are. getting introed out at the beginning of. that. >> Guys going to be running out there like. get me out of here. Maybe. What if they. what if they protest getting announced. as starters for the team? Right back. We. >> got nine games left. There's a lot of football left. >> Going to be a rockus environment. You. think? >> Josh down. >> Uh yeah, dude. ASAP. >> I'm getting a lot of questions from a. lot of people ask me if I'm going to.
that thing. It's like if we're not. going, we definitely need to fill that. thing. It looks bad where that's just. empty, you know? I don't I don't. >> I'll be there. I want to see CD and. pickings and D. >> All right, >> Caleb Dan. >> Let's get to a break, please. >> He's out. He got bounced off the turf like a like. like a. >> He popped up. >> He got up. >> He popped up. He's a tough son of a. [ __ ] He's on concussion protocol. He's. out. >> No, he's not. >> Yes, he is. >> That was a rough game. >> He's not going to be playing. It sounds.
like. >> I want to watch Joey Porter Jr. >> I get it. >> Joey Porter Jr. Great player. >> Yeah, really good. They got a hooker. down there, too. >> The league hooker. Yeah, our first one. >> There you go. >> He was a Colt, >> you'd know. >> Let's get to a break. When your friends. tell a friend something nice, it might. change their life. >> Take five.
>> Jack, do you have anything to say to the. team here? >> Oh man, you guys keep crushing and. firing everybody up. It's bigger than. you guys and you guys are the freaking. best. >> Boom. >> Thank you. >> That's amazing. >> YES. >> GOD DAMN IT. I NEED THAT ONE. bad shape of my life. Best shape of my. life. I felt like I just throw people. through walls. Oh [ __ ] What's. happening?
>> What the [ __ ] is this? >> We interrupt your regular programming. with breaking news. >> We have reports of a UAP approaching. Indianapolis. They have messaged to. officials they are coming to take over. the world. Government agencies have been. alerted that they plan to land and. activate Earth's Armageddon switch. >> This is literally the scariest situation. imaginable. A true doomsday scenario. Please stay calm, seek shelter. immediately, and pray to whatever god or. higher power you believe in.
>> Was that what you landed here? >> I think Indianapolis. What? So that. can't be. >> We got to go find these [ __ ]. >> Yeah, >> that's what we need to do. I think that. sounds like something you should know. with Jack Carr yet. >> I don't know. We need to. >> Let's go. Come on. Let's go. >> I don't know. Let's go. Yeah.
>> [ __ ] these pieces of [ __ ]. Oh, there it is. That [ __ ] It's. here. It's here. It's the button. >> Yeah, it is. >> Oh, hey, >> do you have a rifle? No. I got something better. I got. something better. >> Jack, I've been saving this.
>> What? >> Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. >> What is this thing? This As for a rifle. What is this? >> Yeah. It uh it kills aliens. Yeah, I. bought it online. Deep web. >> That's certainly convenient for us. All. right, here we go. >> Hey, will you be my spotter? >> Oh my god. It'd be my honor. Let's go. kill these [ __ ]. >> Let's do this. >> Where are they? >> I don't know. I think they're coming. Looks like they might be coming from. right over here. >> Yeah. Yeah. Looks like I see their. [ __ ] ship. Let's go. They're not. going to get to that button, Jack. >> Nope. They will not get to that button.
Is that one of them? >> Yeah. Black helmet, car heart, khaki. He's walking right at you. GO AHEAD AND. PEPP. YEP. YEP. YEP. THAT'S IT, JACK. CARR. THAT'S IT, JACK CAR. YOU KILLED. THAT SON OF A [ __ ]. >> OH, THERE'S ANOTHER ONE. He looks exact. same taller. A little bit more awkward. >> Little more awkward. Yeah. Yeah, he's in.
the same spot though. Go ahead and get. him. Go ahead, GET HIM. YEAH, THERE HE. IS. GOOD HIT, JACK. >> TWO DOWN. TWO DOWN. >> TWO DOWN ALIENS. NOT ON OUR WATCH. >> OH, he came down backwards. This one. showing you his back. No respect. >> No respect. Kind of disrespectful alien. here as he drags his carcass around. LOOKS DIFFERENT. OH, ALL THREE OF THEM.
STACKED UP. >> JACK HORSE SLAYING ALIENS. >> OH, THERE'S ONE MORE. >> IT'S A BIG ONE. >> OH, HE LOOKS LIKE AN EATER. >> HE IS AN EATER. >> OH, MAN. >> THIS MUST BE THEIR supreme commander. Look at the size. HE'S LOOKING AT YOU, JACK. HE'S COMING AT YOU, JACK. HE'S. COMING AT US, JACK. GET HIS BIG ASS. BACK. BOOM. BOOM. THIS GUY'S TRYING TO.
TAKE DOWN OUR PLANET. GO THE [ __ ] OUT. That's it, Jack. GO BACK TO WHERE YOU CAME FROM, YOU SACK. OF [ __ ].
HEY, good work, dude. Amazing. >> That was awesome day. I mean, they were. going to [ __ ] come in here. I mean, they just popped up and they just shot. him right in the [ __ ] head. >> I don't know. Good thing we saw that. newscast when we did. >> Well, that's the that's why they do the. live alert. >> I don't know. Did we know that? But. that's still. >> I feel like that should have been. disclosed when we bought this place. >> The legit. >> Let's go and talk to the boys. >> Amazing. Let's do it. >> What a life you live, >> man. I'm just glad you had this rifle. and I had those binos. What are the odds. of that? >> I mean, I could see them.
>> Good thing I carry those with me. everywhere I go. >> The big one at the end really ate some. [ __ ] pain. >> Yeah. I feel like he stopped somewhere. on the way in. >> Yes, he did. Yes, he did. >> Are we Are we good? >> What do you think, boys? [ __ ] Jack. Cars here.
If that's not enough reason to buy his. new book, I don't know what is. [ __ ]. just saved the earth. And nobody would. have known about it if it didn't just so. happen to happen right here with all. these cameras. >> Thank you, Jack Carr. >> Thank you, Jack Carr. >> Thank you, Jack. >> Thank you, Jack. >> Thanks, guys. Right. >> Thank you guys. >> Three-time world saver Jack Carr has. done it again. We're all mind blown that.
a global attack always seemingly happens. when Jack Carr comes to the Thunderdome, but boy, we're thankful he's always. there to save us all. On that note, Jack. Carr's new book, Cry Havoc, is available. now. It's a Vietnam era thriller in the. eighth installment of the multiple time. New York Times bestselling series, Terminal List. Hell yeah, Jack Carr. Hell yeah. >> Belle Sessions, who got here at 3:00.
a.m. this morning, was the winner. Her. ticket was pulled and you thought to. yourself immediately, "What?" Belle, >> I knew I couldn't do it. And he was next. to me and he said that he could. So, we're splitting it. >> Okay. And so Bill Sessions made the. decision to talk to my man Henry Silver. who been. Henry got here yesterday at 6:00 p.m. He's been waiting for this moment. Now. Henry, you told her that you can.
Heat. Heat. Hey, >> why?
>> Let's go. This show sticks and the fact that you. listen, we are very, very thankful for. you. >> McAfee on the line with a gorgeous. assist. >> The alltime leading tackler for the. Green Bay Packers. You pick. >> Damn it. >> Your friend, tell a friend something. nice could change their life. >> Hello, beautiful people, and welcome. back to our humble boat, The Draft Kings.
Thunderdome. on this long Wednesday, November 4th, 2026. Hour three of the program begins. now. >> FOOTBALL. >> HE'S THE GREATEST. THAT'S AJ HAWK. THE. talks and tables here at Boston Conor. and at Tai Schmidt. 9-year NFL vet. Darius J. Butler is here. And 12-year. player coach, Super Bowl champion AQ. Shipley is here. >> AJ, I don't want to I don't want to tell. you, but we're in a hot debate right now. during a break. >> What happened? Well, was that the best. photo we've ever seen of AQ Shipley.
right there where he was uh throwing. that donk face there? Uh but also what. should AQ do today, you know, with the. football with the tosses? Not a lot of. success. I mean like embarrassing. program, family, himself, the Super Bowl. even because he has won a Super Bowl. when we say that with him throwing a. football. So I said, "Maybe shoot a. basketball," you know, because he's a. Western Pennsylvania Interscolastic. Athletic League Hall of Fame basketball. player from high school. Maybe we do a. free throw. And he says, "No, I will get.
back to football. I want to make one.". And I appreciate that, but I like people. winning last week for the first time. Long time between you and Chuck. Are you. certain that you're going to be able to. make a throw? >> Yeah, I've changed my mindset. Aim. small, miss small. We're going to We're. going to make it today. >> All right. 20 people, $500 if you're. able to make it. Yeah. >> Go. Don't Don't think about it. for $500. >> Pick it up and chuck it. >> Aim small. Miss small. >> The archer. >> Oh my god. >> Aim small. Miss small. >> What are you doing? >> Okay, I see it. I get it. >> Hold on. Hold on.
>> That was it. >> That was it. It was JUST A LITTLE HIGH. READY? >> Go on. >> Wait. Wait till this one. >> What are you thinking? >> Real quick. How many people should win? You think after what you just did? >> 25. >> You might have been hustling us a little. bit. All right. 30 people, $500. All you. can do is make that throw right now. >> Thank you, Shipley. Out of moving time. Uhhuh. Yeah. Okay, that was it. Just a. little left in short. >> Sit back down. No, no, no. We'll go to. the end. We'll go to the end. You got. those out of the way. You've already. embarrassed yourself.
>> That was the warm-up. >> Should have got a basketball. I think. you need to snap it to yourself. >> It's a good move actually. >> Yeah, that's what you need to do. You. need to snap ball through legs, grab. with other hand, then pick it up. Yeah, >> you have the dexterity and the. flexibility to be able to do that. I saw. you just kind of wipe with both sides. there with both hands. What would it. look like? It' be a left-handed snap. >> Left hand snap. Come through. Grab. Yeah. Yeah. They turn around. Is that. what you're doing? >> I can't see. Can you get up and do it? >> What would it look like? Would you be. Have you ever done this to yourself?
Have you ever snapped yourself before? >> You got to do a cadence TO YOURSELF. >> OH, YEAH. YEAH. >> YEAH. YEAH. OH, YOU SHOULD HAVE DONE NO, it's waited too long. >> Got it. >> All right. Hey, we're back into better. momentum towards maybe a positive. >> That's right. >> Uh at the end of the show, I like you. got those three out of the way. If you. would like to go to basketball, we'd all. be okay with it because it is NBA season. and you're a pretty good shooter. Okay. You're a pretty good shot. >> We already told Shoms. We don't care. It's football season. >> We did tell Shams that. Shams didn't.
necessarily love that. I think Adam. Silver also, we told him that as well as. we were talking about the Christmas. game. >> Lot of games tonight though. >> But hey, a lot of good basketball. >> Had yesterday off. >> Yep. Everybody go vote. obviously can't. be playing if you uh if you need to get. out and vote, which they certainly did. And uh now NBA is back. >> I will say the Fat Boys played better. than they had played in a long time. whenever it comes to 33 last week. I was. pretty proud of you guys. >> Yeah, we we put together some pretty. good defense. We're getting way better. on defensive glass. I mean, we started. to make some shots. I think I made three. in a row. Debbone, nice little ham and.
egg game. Yeah, we're doing. >> He made four in a row at one point and. then had the fifth. >> For those that don't know, 33 is a game. of the Thunderdome, also of the previous. office. uh teams of two taking on uh two. others. The Fat Boys have been together, AQ Shipley and Debbone for a long time. It used to be Debbone or Bone and Butt. >> Yeah, Bone. >> Yeah, that was uh Uball and we. dominated. >> You guys were good together. >> Yeah, that was that was Debbone and. Darius Butler. They were called Bone and. Butt there for a while. >> DB. >> Oh, DBlock was the next name after there. was some controversy over Bone and Butts.
team. >> Bone and Butts. >> Bone and Bone and Butts. >> But a lot of games around here. 33 has. remained. 33 has survived multiple. offices, multiple layoffs in multiple. different eras. And I I think we have. our best skill right now. I think the. league is has its most parody at this. exact moment. So when the show goes. down, usually you'll see uh four people. shooting uh two people outside, two. people underneath. If you make a three. consecutive, both players from the same. team are shooting threes, it's worth two. points. If you get a tip in, it's worth.
one underneath. If one person from your. team hits it from all five spots, you. get a bonus spot. And if you one of you. make it from that spot, you get another. bonus spot. Then if you make it another. bonus spot and you're trying to get to. 33. It's a easy game, fun game. Oh yeah. Little bit of mobility, but not too much. to hurt yourself. And uh we got good. parody in this league right now. >> Oh yeah. >> Connor and Darius are an incredible. team. >> Yeah. Run. You got Hey, you and Foxy. shot. >> You guys are the champs right now. >> Yeah, we might be back. >> You were nine for 10 last time we. played. >> Yeah, me and me and Foxy might be back.
AJ, it is Ever since I took that trip to. Alabama. Oh, by a basketball uh facility. where they had the little lasers on the. wall and it was, you know, hey, here's. the proper arc that you're supposed to. have. They'll give you that left right. depth and everything. I feel like I I. was learning by watching those things. Last night I actually put together a 13. leg parlay. >> 13. What was the odds on that? Plus. 10,000 had to be. >> No, minus 122 actually. >> Yeah. >> Shoot. Sorry. What was that? >> Yeah. 13 leager. Thought I had it. One.
team. South Dakota State broke my heart. They beat Kansas State. All the other. super duper odds on favorites. I was. taking minus 6000s, minus 2400s. I put. 13 of them together and I thought. college hoops. You got big school that's. good that has invested a lot of money in. the roster taking on somebody that I've. never heard of who are at least double. digit underdogs. South Dakota State, I. think 11 and a half point dogs last. night. They break my heart and and the. 13 leg parlay that hit 12 of them and. the good for the Jack Rabbits. Go big, go blue, go Jacks. They kind of ruined. uh what I had going on, but not a bad.
idea. It does take a lot of legs. >> I think I think that is a bad idea. I. didn't think that was possible. 13 legs. minus 122. >> You're talking about banking on 13. different groups of young men coming. together and being able to do something. that they say they are. This is no. spread. >> Game one. >> Just strictly money line. >> You're 12 13. >> 12 13. Yes. I mean, so maybe I was. right. You know, maybe. >> a high clip. >> over 90% accuracy right now. >> I was watching that thing come together. and I'm like, this is it. This is what. we do every college basketball night. We. just take the super duper favorites and.
we monline that thing and we just got to. keep adding. The one team we had to take. that was a little bit closer, a little. shorter odds. I think it was still minus. 500 maybe was Dukane Dukes Duke. >> and they got the job done for us. Okay. >> Tone was being super negative. Tone Tone. was being super negative. Don't do that. Don't do that. I don't want the Dukes to. be a part of this. If I'm a part of. this, they're losing it. How about that? And I'm like, no, we got faith in the. Dukes. They get a big win. They might. make the dance this year. Tone, I think. you should be excited about what. happened last night. You know, I. struggle with that type of pressure on. me. Um, >> you weren't playing.
>> That doesn't matter. That literally. doesn't matter. If it was 12 out of 13. the Dukes would have lost, you don't. think I would have heard about this. morning? >> Oh, yeah. I did. >> It's one of his five pillars. You know. that? >> Yeah. His gambling record. >> God, faith, family, gambling record. And. don't put me in bad situations. >> in football. >> Uhoh. >> God, faith, family, your gambling. record, and football. Yeah, you missed. football there. Correct. That was part. of the gambling record.
>> Faith also part of the God part, right? >> Yeah. >> Well, it depends. Depends on the day to. be honest with you. >> Tony. >> No, I think faith in God kind of. >> Well, it depends on what you believe in. And I change day by day. >> Okay. >> That's our favorite chameleon, ladies. and gentlemen. That's Tone Dinks. >> All right. >> All right. Let's get better. Let's get. smarter. Let's go ahead and judge and. rank some folks. The big boys need to. get celebrated every single week. And we. try to do as such. Ladies and gentlemen, it's time to go in the trenches with AQ. Shipley for our top five. Top five, top. five performing offensive lines coming.
out of week eight. Wow. Number five, they pounded the Colts seemingly. offensive line great. The Jacksonville. Jaguars sitting at 5-2 with top five. line. Why so AQ? >> Yeah, I love this group. I really do. love this group. I talked about it I. think last week about Emanuel Pregnon, the rookie out of Oregon. He is so. powerful. Hany on the inside. Love him. Shipyard, of course. And then you got. the right side. And we're going to get. two combo blocks. But let's look at the. tight end. Watch him go out. This is an. RPO. We're also going to get a front. side insert on the wide receiver right. here. Watch what it does to the safety.
cuz you get the blitz. Now that safety. goes out. You get the other guy over. here. He goes out, opens up the middle. You get combo block, combo block. We're. not looking at big gaping holes. We're. looking at a little little teeny weeny. gaping hole right up the middle. And. Chris Rodriguez Jr. finds it and finds. his way and hits his head on the goal. post. >> Hey, that's shipyard football. Just. teeny weeny. That is that should. >> they do is that left tackle always have. a split like that that wide. >> tell. >> Well, so they have the they have the. insert with the receiver. So yeah, that. is a little bit of a tell. Yeah, but. again they don't know that. They don't.
know that they're just not going to run. the ball right there, right? So you you. have no idea that that receiver is going. to insert on there. But I love this. play. If you go back to the beginning. one more time, Foxy, watch the tight end. on the right. That's the key. Watch him. go out on this RPO and it takes that DB. out of there. I love that cuz now if. that defensive end crashes, guess where. Trevor's throwing the ball? >> To that guy. So, this is Liam Cohen. drawing this up or is there a run game. coordinator that's doing that? How do we. feel about Liam Cohen at this point? Because it feels like he's an incredible. leader. Those locker rooms are always. lit. They're a dominant football team. Trevor Lawrence is playing the best.
football that we've seen from Trevor. Lawrence. Is he scheming and drawing? What What do What should we think about. Liam Cohen? >> Absolutely love Liam Cohen. I think he. is the mastermind behind it all. And. again, listen, it comes from McVey, comes from that world. And you know, listen, anytime you come from McVeyy's. world, it's it's funny how much those. guys lean into everything that LA does. They watch all of the different things. that McVey does. He literally comes in. on Monday and watches the Rams game. before he watches his own game. That's. literally what he does. See what they're. doing. Hey, is it working? Yeah. Okay, cool. We're going to put some of that. stuff in. >> Yeah, copycat league. That is uh since.
the beginning of time. I don't love how. great the Jags are in the AFC South, but. they certainly are. And I don't think. they've been home much either. I I think. Yeah, they're just now getting a chance. >> They played home in this one. And then. outside of that, uh, it'll be six of. seven that have been on the road because. two of those home games were in London. >> Yeah. So, it's not easy to operate like. that. Everybody talks about I want to. maintain a schedule. I want to maintain. a schedule. Jags have had to go to. Europe a couple times. They got to go on. the road, figure it out, play ball. They. have Liam Cohen doing a great job. >> I'll give one more little prop to your.
West Virginia Mountaineer Wyatt Milm. right there at right guard. He filled in. for Ezra Cleveland. But again, the. Mountaineers are producing some linemen. in the league. >> Yeah, that's right. We got big bodies. who want to go and do bad things to. people. Hate that they're not on the. Colts. Love that the Jags have it. figured out. That fan base has been. starving for some time. Feels real, especially if you're in the top five O. lines one week. Let's go to the number. four team. How about the Buffalo Bills? >> Buffalo Bills. >> Congratulations to the Beals getting on. here. >> Yeah, I love this group. They were. without Spencer Brown this week, but. again, they're good every single week.
And when you watch them, they play so. well as a unit. This was one of my. favorite plays of the week. If you watch. us, we're going to send the motion right. there. So, we got everything going left. Now, watch. We're going to highlight. every single guy. Both tight ends to the. right, then their entire offensive line. from right to left. Everything is going. left, right? All your eyes, all the. deceptions going left, but we're going. to get this cut back by James Cook. And. now watch this. I paused it right here. for a reason. Highlight on James Cook. You got two unblock guys. Nope. Get. north and south and get a 15 yd gain.
Unbelievable cut by the back. >> AJ, make the play. >> Look at I mean, two unblocked guys. That's the thing that makes a D. coordinator crazy. But good. I mean, this cut is You got to come if you're. that first defender off the edge, you. got to come tight off the guy's head. But man, like that is that's a next. level cut right there. >> James Cook special. >> Yeah. >> Special. >> Special. Special. Josh Allen. Special. Special. Tight ends can catch the ball. Special. Special. It's only going to be. about their defense, right? Ain't that. the big question? Can the defense keep. up with everything this offense does? Love hearing that they're the number. four line again.
>> Yeah, their offensive line's really. good. And again, like I said, James Cook. is so good. He knows that when he has. two guys front side, you got the. three-tech and the five tech. This is. cutting back immediately. So he knows. he's setting that up for a cut back. immediately and then he sees the two. His ability to put that right foot in. the ground and get north and south again. off the two tight ends block was. unbelievable how to put this play. >> Monday Night Football, Buffalo Bills. traveling to Minnesota. We'll have a. field pass on ESPN 2. Cannot wait to be. there for this one and watch this team. do their thing. Number three had some. good news come out from their social.
media. Detroit Lions offensive line. Congrats to them. >> Yeah, really like this group. Obviously, it always starts with Penn Soul, but. what they did in this game against the. Minnesota Vikings with both tight ends. They utilized it in the pass game, they. also utilized it in the run game. But as. we see, you see one, two, you always. leave two when you run the counter. So, whenever you pull the guard or or the. both tight ends, whenever you're going. to pull both tight ends right now, that's who they're pulling for. You get. the kick out on the first guy and you. get the wrapper for the second guy. Penn. Soul is going to go out right there.
Now, you open it up for the first. puller. Boom. There's the kick out by. Brock Wright. And then Leaporta comes. behind it. There it is. And then look. what Gibbs does in the open space. Get. him out in space. Boom. Put the brakes. on. Yep. Find a way to get in the off. >> Jeez Louise. >> Downfield blocking. >> So you're saying that was set up for it. to be very tight up the gut and then cut. that thing back left once you clear. first line. >> Yeah. You're going to see another. counter coming up here uh by another. team coming up. But again, whenever you. have that, you always leave two guys end. man on the line of scrimmage and then. the first stack backer. AJ's seen this. come a million times, right? whether.
it's the guard and the tight end or both. tight ends. And they're utilizing both. because they they married it up with the. pass game this week. And again, I know. it was talked about a lot. Hey, how did. they handle Flores? It was because they. kept putting the two tight ends in the. back field for the pass game. So, how do. you marry it up with the run game? Do. the same stuff and have this come off. the run game. >> It's the inside toss, too. We talked. about with the Niners before where. they're throwing the toss like you said, and it gets everyone thinking he's going. way outside. Yeah. >> Jared Goff. Yeah. Can Jir Gibbs survive?
>> So far so good. >> 464 touches. He's on pace for the. record. 495 or something like that. He. would be the second most all the time. 495 came from a guy in like 1920 or. something. Sam Wilder maybe. >> 1983. >> There it is. Was his name Sam Wilder? >> Something like that. That sounds right. Kansas City Chiefs legend. >> He had 415 rushes I think. >> I believe. So he had he had uh maybe not. I I remember he had like 80ome. receptions as well which was kind of. surprising for me.
>> but 464 he's on pace for last week it. was up to 470 now it's at 464. If he was. to do that he'd surpass Larry Johnson. who I think Larry Johnson in 2006 maybe. had like 430 times. It would be an. absurd number with how much. >> to your point Pat they finally got the. backup running back getting some reps. and he actually had a great game. So. maybe we'll see more of that just to get. Gibbs healthy for the rest of the. season. We'll see. But I think that's. why the offensive player of the year. stuff is for him because it's like he is. you know it's not that Jackson Smith and. Jigba is not I mean Jackson Smith and.
Jigba what was the number 36% before. yeah Monday night he was 36. >> that entire offense. >> he was. >> if you're not the one that off it. stinks. >> Sam Darnold had 94 pass yards in the. first half. 92 of them were Jackson. Smith and Jigba. It's like uh what an. absolute beast. A lot of great players. including Jir Gibbs. Congrats to the. Detroit Lions offensive line making top. five. And also congrats to here we go. number two offensive line in the NFL. I. love it. You said Zack Frasier is the. best center in the league. The rest of. the boys not too shabby either. >> He's the best center in the league and.
this has been the best offensive line in. the league since they made the switch on. the right side in week three. But again, I got three clips here. And the reason. why I got three clips is because they. ran it over and over and over against. the Cleveland Browns. But listen, when. you come in on Wednesday, they're going. to say, "Okay, is this a penetrating. front or is this a reading front?". Cleveland Browns known penetrating. front. How do you attack a penetrating. front? You trap the [ __ ] out of them, right? So, we're going to show Mason. McCormack here. And then we're going to. show the right side, right? Brock. Hoffman and Big Max. Watch them fake a. deuce on the right side. So, they're.
going to fake the deuce and then they're. going to handle the two linebacker. spots. You get the trap. Quick trap. There comes Mason McCormack and you get. the quick hitter up the middle. Back. block by Frasier. Rides him up the field. and there goes Warren. Right. >> So, you use their aggressiveness. against. That's exactly right. It's just. like how do you handle a pass rush? Oh, we're going to draw and screen him to. death. How do you handle penetrators in. the run game? You trap the [ __ ] out of. them. Mike McCarthy knew this. Obviously, the offensive line knew this. So, guess what? We're going to do it. again. Let's show the right side again. We're going to fake the deuce and. they're going to handle the two. linebackers off the ball. We're going to. pull the backside guard. We're going to. block the center back. We're going to.
hand it off and boom. Those two guys. that bluff the deuce. They go get the. two linebacker spots. Get good position. at the second level. There goes Warren. again. Just take advantage of it. >> It seems easy. Is this not what. everybody does or not everybody's. capable of doing it? What they're doing. not easy obviously. >> No, it's not easy. But again, whenever. and and it's funny as this game went on, they're still Hey, your job is to. penetrate. But again, to go forward, then put the brakes on and then handle. that quick trip hitter up the middle. They can't do it. Here we go again. Now. we got to go in the other way. So we got.
the left side faking the deuce. We got. Faton and we got Mason McCormack. They're going to do the fake deuce. They're going to climb. They're going to. handle two spots at the second level. Here comes Brock Hoffman. You get the. kick out block right there and you get. the quick hitter up the middle. Now look. at the second level. Obviously, this is. what we keep talking about. They have to. do such a good job at the second level. of getting inside. So that allows them. to hit it up the middle. >> Wow. >> First quarter runs too kind of sets. everything up for the rest of the game. or No. >> So the I think the second play was in. the third quarter, but yeah, it happened. all game long. But again, when they when. they run it in the first quarter, it.
does set it up. But again, now this. defense can make adjustments, but AJ, you can kind of hit on this. You played. in the 3- four scheme where those guys. are readers. Under defense 34, those. guys are read. Tough to trap those. teams. Very tough to trap those teams. But when especially when you hit the. play on third down, now those guys are. jetted up. It's third and 13 jetted up. Three techniques, two three techniques, super wide, the middle's wide open. The. odds of you completing a third and 13 is. slim to none. Why not just call a quick. trap and and you still pick up the first. down? >> AJ Mike McCarthy says, "Let me use what. you do against you, pal, and executes. perfectly in a dominating fashion.".
>> Yeah, that's what uh that's what a great. play caller is doing. If you see like. Mason Graham right there, like if you're. aggressive and you're getting up the. field and all of a sudden you you got to. real you got to read trap almost at the. snap or pre- snap. He's got to dive down. and long arm that they call like a wrong. arm and I should say where he dives. down, he spills that polar. So So the. running back can't like just go straight. downhill. You got to make him reset his. feet and pop so your other rest of your. defense has time I guess to get in their. gap because once you get him trapped. like that kind it's a missile right down. the middle of the defense. >> It's crazy how fast all that happens.
Yeah. >> Ly Graham. Oh, I'm getting uh deuce. Nope. I'm actually getting chip. Nope. I'm getting there's And it's over and. they're already out the gate. Incredible. work by the Pittsburgh Steelers. Tone, how do you feel about this sign. fundamental ass beaten football? >> It's unbelievable. It's so awesome to. watch and that third and 13. Um you hear. you see the play call come in and Aaron. kind of like shakes his head cuz he's. pissed that it's you could tell a draw. is coming and then it goes for 50 and. it's kind of like you don't expect those. things to work like that and they are. right now because the O line's playing.
so well. Jaylen Warren leads the league. uh seven yards per touch. Uh he's been. unbelievable. And then on the other side. of the ball, they're stopping the run, too. It's a great line. >> Yeah, we just showed a highlight there. of that third and 13 you were talking. about. Look how many dudes are in the. frame 50 yards down the field. >> And it's the entire offensive line. That's the biggest thing that I was. noticing. All five offensive linemen are. in the frame at the end of this clip. right now. >> Chase the ball. There was a long run uh. in the game where Oh, was it Warren or. D? I think it was D. out of fumbled and. Fatanu recovered the fumble like 20. yards down the field. So yeah, them.
getting down the field too was huge. >> Hey, Mike McCarthy wins games. >> Yeah, he's just not some big dumb fat. [ __ ] like everyone thought he was. >> What's that all about AJ? Why do people. think that? >> Is that what everyone thought? I wasn't. unaware. >> And for a while there I believe everyone. did think that. >> Dude, when he got hired to the Steelers, there was not a lot of public sentiment. that was good. We were. going. >> to be fired in Dallas forever. Dallas 12. and four every year. >> Dallas, they couldn't wait to move on. Remember defense couldn't get a stop. >> Still a thing. >> Kelly Mo. >> Still still a thing. Kelly Mo wants run. up scoreboard. I get it. We got a more.
time of possession because our defense. can't do our thing. But. >> it felt like Mike always wins. And he. did get run out of Dallas. And then when. he got hired in Pittsburgh, it was like. what? A lot of public sentiment was. super negative about it. Oh great. And. then his first press conference went. over some Yinszers, but it didn't win. over like the media. There were still. media people that like stupid, stale. Why would you do this? You're going to. get more of the same. It's like it feels. like Mike McCarthy might be an okay. coach. gets talked about all the time. He has an almost identical record to. Shawn Peyton. They've both won one Super. Bowl and the you know, Shawn Payeyton's. one of the greatest coaches of a.
generation and. >> you know, McCarthy has talked about the. way he's talked about. So, >> big fat sloppy guy. >> I don't like that. We don't like that. >> It's not fair. >> Age, too. Feels like especially when it. comes to, you know, people in the media. at least looking like local people in. Pittsburgh who report on the Steelers. If you hire an older guy, it's not as, you know, common now. Like typically. >> Steelers never did either. Ste. >> Yeah, Steelers, you know, Cer was young. and Tom is young. So just recent memory,
Big Mike being in his, you know, late. 50s, 60s, it's one of those things where. people are just like, what are they. doing here? This is a bandaid anyways. But if you get a guy for eight years. who's really good as a head coach, that's unbelievable. We will reiterate. the fact that Mike McCarthy working with. us was completely different than how I. thought it was going to be. Just vastly. different. I've literally met 200 Mike. McCarthy's I thought in my life in. Pittsburgh. Same exact situation. Love. ball. The way they talk, way they look. I thought I knew exactly what was.
coming. Yeah. Right. He was vastly. different than I could have ever. expected. The amount of preparation, the. amount of want, the amount of. accountabil, everything, attention to. detail that he had for us every single. week, it was very evident. uh uh and. very easy to see why he has had success. and we were maybe asked about that by a. couple people and it's like I was mind. blown that this is what coach McCarthy. is verse what I expected from outside. looking in wins games and the boys I. think love him. I think all the things. that the media says about him that is. like not great. I think the boys all.
view it as like endearing almost like. look at [ __ ] big Mike over here. He's. going to come in here. He's going to. speak the way he speaks. He's going to. have this mindset. He is he's going to. smash a water. Think about if he smashed. that watermelon now that we know him. just what all one of his had to get the. boys going, you know, I'd [ __ ] get. him rolling. I uh I appreciate Mike. McCarthy a lot. We are very lucky to get. to work with him and I like that he's. winning for the Steelers. Can't win a. Super Bowl though. >> Going to find out. >> Can win a Super Bowl. Can run the. football and they can stop the run. So.
>> defense stop the battle. >> A sacks. They can keep doing that. >> against Cleveland Browns offense which. we thought was good. Boswell will make. kicks, right? >> Oh yeah. Yeah. Right, Ton. >> Yes. >> Like he's had one bad half. Maybe he. missed a couple kicks. So everybody. starts thinking his balls. Yeah, right. Balls will make the kicks. Okay, maybe. the Steelers back in the conversation, especially if they're top five. Now, let's celebrate the hell out of the top. offensive line coming out of week eight. of the NFL season. Zero completions for. this team. We're winning if you win.
Congrats to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. >> offensive line. >> I mean, how can I not put them on? This. is literally the definition of putting. the game on your offensive line's back. And AJ just talked about how do you. defeat the puller. Here's a great. complement to a trap play. This is the. counter. We're going to pull the. backside guard. Look, we got two tight. ends to the right. Kate on. Check out. Pay Dorm on the right. He's going to. sell like they're running right. He's. going to cut the far defensive end. Then. we're getting the pulling guard. He's. going to go across the line of.
scrimmage. He's going to trap out. But. Tristan Warfs, he gets it all started. Great seal block. And then they do get. the wrong arm, AJ. But Autton goes. around and gets the big block as the. second puller. And then you get Bucky. Irving in space. How good is that? >> Terrible weather, terrible field to be. able to orchestrate all of that in real. time. Unbelievable work. And is this uh. do they run this off of the the like is. there a variety of runs or do the. Falcons know exactly what they're. getting every single time? >> They ran counter probably 17 to 20 times. in this game. This exact play where they.
pull the backside guard and you have a. second puller. Multiple ways to dress it. up with the formation, but again, this. play just kept coming. You get Tristan. Warfs on a down block or the right. tackle on a down block, guard pulls, second puller comes around, you're. rapping for two and beating the [ __ ] out. of people for AN ENTIRE GAME. >> YEAH, OLD SCHOOL FOOTBALL, the Tampa Bay. Rushing. Number one offensive line coming out of. week eight of the NFL season. Congrats. to the Steelers, Lions, Bills, and the. Jacksonville Jaguars. You know what they. say, run game travels. >> That's right. >> All these teams have a chance. Buffalo.
Bills even have a Go ahead. >> Yeah. Can I say one more thing about the. Buccaneers? Back-to-back weeks. They. they play the Cowboys. The Cowboys are. forced to hire Mike Pton. They play the. Carolina Panthers. They fire their. defensive coordinator. Like backto-back. weeks, the way they're running the. football. And then obviously what they. just did to the Falcons. Maybe the. Falcons are looking at as an anomaly. But we could probably bet there's. somebody getting cut or getting fired. based on that performance as well. >> Buccaneers come to town on defensive. side. You better. >> Falcons left the country after it. Head. on a swivel. Jeez, they did. Madrid.
>> Ola. All right. Thank you. >> Throwing a damn ball. >> I mean, you think after like the second. or third one. >> four. >> They're all in the first half, too, I. think. Right. They're all. >> He played in Washington. Why does he. look like he's never thrown a wet. football? >> He's from Tampa, too. >> What the [ __ ] going on? >> Did you see that rain, though? I mean, that I did, but. it's not the first time that's happened. in an NFL game. guys usually I mean some. of those balls. >> they usually do a good job subbing in. dry balls too every play. >> it looked like it was a bit of a.
drencher out there. >> oh it was running sideways I mean it was. crazy. >> but Analone picks up a couple picks he. knows where everything's at and uh. Pennix is just going to bury the ball. here I think you just move along you. bury the ball and uh. >> you just go ahead yeah that's tough. stuff you have four picks there. >> there was one too where Pitts was just. wide open running down the sideline he. threw it like 40 yards hurts over his. head out of bounds. It was awesome. >> On that note, ladies and gentlemen, it's. time to announce the week eight NFL. players of the week on the NFC side.
defense. Congrats, Anelone. >> They shut out the Falcons. Analone has. two picks, four in total. Uh what a win. for the Tampa Bay Rushingers. Tyler. Alier for Arizona going crazy. Saw him. in the end zone a bunch. Good for him. Good for the Cardinals. Jack Fox, punter. for Detroit. Huge part of the win over. the Vikings as they suffer their first. loss. Dylan L, the returner for uh the. Las Vegas Raiders. He uh took a kickoff. 95 yards to the house and looked like he. was faster than everybody in Las Vegas.
I've seen some photos of this guy off. the field. Feels like this is a little. bit of a legend here, this fella. I hope. he continues. I. >> mean, look at his neck. Are we serious? That's amazing. >> Yeah, we love this guy. And if you get. full speed on kickoff returns, you're. okay with everything. And he certainly. has capability of doing that. >> Uh Lane there, safety for Jacksonville. They dominated the Indianapolis Colts. Congrats to him. And then T. Higgins for. the Cincinnati Bengals as Cincinnati. goes for 500 yards to the sky and. multiple touchdowns and a huge win. Joey. Burrow, absolutely stunning. Go ahead uh. DB.
>> No, I said Lane. We'll probably see him. pretty soon here. >> Oh, that's great news. In everything DB, good D. We'll certainly talk about that. The Arizona Cardinals are finalizing a. trade to send Jacobe Brassette to the. Baltimore Ravens per wrap sheet and. sher. Deal is expected to be completed. this weekend. In the Ravens lost, quarterback Lamar Jackson and Snoop. Huntley is getting surgery on his turf. toe. Joe Fenano with a busted up ankle. was looking to start for the Baltimore. Ravens. Now Jacobe Brassette is coming. to town. He is a guy who can operate any.
offense. He's an incredible leader. Jesse Mentors in his first year, I. mentioned this on Monday Night. Countdown, like Harbaugh in his first. year. Jameus Winston being a veteran. quarterback in that room kind of driving. and motivating and everything. I I think. that's a huge deal as you're trying to. put your culture in. first year head. coach. Jacobe Brassette leader, definitely a leader, vocal leader, will. do everything that he could possibly do. to make the team better. And Jesse Mter, a first year head coach over there, now. has another, you know, um, professional. in the building, especially at the. position in which he would need it most.
I like the move. AQ, you celebrated a. little bit. Jacobe Brassette gets deemed. third quarterback for the Arizona. Cardinals as Mchu Mania runs wild. Carson Beck at backup. You've seen more. Jacobe over the years than any of us. Your thoughts on him heading to. Baltimore? Yeah, I think this is a great. move and I think Jacobe when he has a. when he has a good offensive line in. front of him, he can deliver the ball on. time, he can run an efficient offense, he can do all the things. I think that. the move in Arizona makes sense. They're. down to their fourth right guard. They. lost their starting left tackle for the. year. He's just not very mobile. And so. whenever you get the pressure that.
you've been getting in Arizona, it makes. sense to make the move to Mchu. But. Jacob's a good smart football player and. he can run this offense and probably. step in pretty quickly. >> Great leader. >> I I can't stress that enough. when he. was in Indianapolis behind Andrew Luck, I believe the word is like, "Hey, Jacob's the one that's kind of doing all. the talking from that particular room.". Not that Andrew Luck wasn't a leader, but Jacob's very tough. He's a parcel's. guy. Y. >> comes up through Kabarcels. Obviously, Bellich as well. He's been a part of. every offensive system when he was. playing for the Colts.
>> I was pushing for him to win MVP, then. he got hurt. He's been around a long. time. Congrats to Jacobe getting an. opportunity now with Baltimore. >> Yakobe, great. Great for him. Now all. eyes are on Carson Wentz experience in. Minnesota. It appears. >> Murray has a hamstring. So Carson Wentz. going to give it a go out there. Uh. Kevin Okonnell needs it. The defense can. win a Super Bowl. Everybody knows that. Vikings experienced their first loss. this past weekend. Will that be two in a. row prime time with the Buffalo Bills. come to town? We shall see. I don't that AFC North is tough.
>> Very. >> That AFC North is really good at. football. >> Big games this weekend, too. Packers are. coming in New England. That'll be a big. one. >> And then the Lamar Jackson story. I. mean, people expecting him to leave. Baltimore. It's like I think they got. the his contract. I don't. >> A lot of money. >> Lot of money. It's like a 70 number, I. think, or something. Whenever you talk. about dead cap and everything like that, it is a uh. >> and a first year head coach. >> Yeah. >> Lamar Jackson. I don't know. >> We do this every other year with Lamar.
It feels like remember with Harbaugh a. couple years ago, too. It was like. Harbor had to come out and say, "Hey, Lamar Jackson is 200% the quarterback of. the Baltimore Ravens." It feels like. this stuff happens and then inevitably. Lamar, who doesn't have an agent, kind. of does it himself. Maybe this is part. of that kind of negotiation factor that. he's mastered. But yeah, it'd be crazy. if he was on the move. >> Man, the Ravens look so good week one. against Schultz. They look so good. And. then that huge win down in Brazil. Thought there was a chance. We'll see. what Jacobe Brassette's able to do for.
the Baltimore Ravens. First quarterback. traded here before the trade deadline of. November 10th. What's going to happen. with Josh Dons? >> Jonathan Taylor. >> Bye-bye. >> Yeah. >> Yeah. Well, you don't want to keep these. guys. Six round pick. >> Sucks. Trade everybody. >> Seventh round pick. Out of here. >> Good luck out there everybody. >> Mhm. >> You know what? Let's look at through the. eyes of the buyers. Let's look it.
through the eyes of the fans that are. getting Josh Downs on their team and. Jonathan Taylor on their team. And. Jeffrey Simmons just came to town and we. became a Super Bowl contender. immediately. Let's talk about the good, not just the bad here in Indianapolis. Good clapping. Good rhythm, boys. >> I liked how fast you went there. It's. good quaking out there. >> Good slapping around. >> Mhm. >> Good rhythm. >> That's right. >> What you guys were doing, I appreciate. that. Uh Miami star Malachi Tony. dealing with an ankle. Status for. Saturday's game against Notre Dame is.
uncertain. Sources tell Pete Damon and. Max Olsson. >> Malachi Tony, one of the odds on. favorites to win the Heisman is expected. to press and attempt to play given the. magnitude. of the game. Did we know Malik Tony was. banged up? Dumpy. Did we know that Malak. Tony had an ankle? >> He did a little bit on Saturday against. UNCC. You could see it happen during the. game, but he did stay out there. So, I. imagine I think he'll be out there. knowing him. >> Pete Haml though dropping a little crumb. out there. Hey, just a little nugget. that me and old Max Olsson got here. Malachi Tony status uncertain. It's like. whoa, that'd be a huge Why is that.
coming out? That would They wouldn't. have volunteered that, would they? >> Exactly. And status uncertain is a huge. deal for one verse four. >> half early with college. They kind of. brings close to the vest, but uh maybe. that's what they knew with that five and. a half line. >> with the line. Yeah, they knew before. everyone. >> Yeah, you're right. Notre Dame favored. by five and a half at home. Must-win. game for Notre Dame. Uh playing Miami. without Malachi Tony would certainly be. what we call a dream situation for. anybody in college football. We'll keep. our eyes monitored to the authorities.
Twitter account, sorry, X account for. more updates across the board. Football. is the greatest. Provides so much. Oh. yeah. >> And uh you know the offense is obviously. uh fantasy football and uh you know. parlay bets. >> Sure. >> But you know who wins championships? >> What's that? >> Defense. Ladies and gentlemen, it's time. for everything DB. Good D with Darius J. Butler. >> Talk about a team that can win a. championship. We we know the offense. We. know the run game. Trevor Lawrence has. been playing phenomenal this year, but. his defense second in the league right.
now with points per game at around 16. and number one in the National Football. League with turnover differential. They. are plus seven right now through eight. weeks. And this is a big pick right. here. We saw this AFC defensive player. of the week. It always starts with. safety rotation. They kind of get into. like a three buzz type of look here. But. watch the linebacker matching up with. Tyler Warren Luakan underneath coverage. Great coverage. You talk about tips and. overthrows. I don't know if it went off. Warren's hand or his hands, but you got. to take advantage of those tips. Not.
only catch it, but take it to the crib. This is how you win AFC defensive player. of the week. I want you to pause right. here. Jonathan Taylor, you talk about. trading him. You're talking about. getting out of here. Okay, you expect. right here. You know what? I'll probably. give up defense, right? Nope. Guy gives. full effort, which I respect. You talk. about a guy who's obviously on the. block. only only had 12 touches, had a. fumble, but I like him hauling ass all. the way into the end zone, chasing this. uh this guy down the field. That showed. me a lot. Uh I appreciate that. 28. probably going to get everybody else.
that hell out of here. Unless you can. get a first round pick, 28 I think will. be here. But a big big time play by. Raywan Lane the third. >> Uh Jonathan Taylor also gave some good. quotes after the game about uh you know, we all got to look into it's not going. to get easier, it's only going to get. harder. If we don't get a one, I I don't. think he can move on from top three. running back in the league. And I do. appreciate him chasing this down. I do. appreciate the hell out of him doing. that. Maybe we'll uh maybe we'll get a. chance to chase down some more pick. sixes this weekend against Dallas. >> I hope not. I hope not. Moving on.
>> Maybe they get a chance. >> Detroit Lions, their defense obviously. needs to start playing better. I think. as they get healthier, they will. continue to play better. Obviously. missing Jack Campbell, that'll be huge. Justin Jefferson right here. Obviously, he's going to demand a ton of attention. He's going to run a crossing route, but. I want you to watch up top. DJ Reed made. a big time play. You got a cut split, so. you have to keep that outside leverage. We saw that earlier with the uh T. Higgins uh touchdown. And right now, the. free safety, he's coming out of the. post. Keep that outside leverage. He. does a great job. We call this a speed.
turn as a DB, putting that foot in the. ground, getting back downhill, and then. making a phenomenal interception, catching this ball. And he got touched, so he's down by contact. So, that return. didn't count. But a great great catch. right here by a DB. >> A little bit of pull shoot there off the. Yeah, a little bit. Keep that thing. tight. Go and propel myself through. here. You look at how much running just. happened. >> I mean, safety just showed that he was. coming to Justin Jefferson so he gets. off of it. And then to be able to. undercut that at 20 mph. Absolutely. absurd athleticism. What a play from the. Lions defense. And I'll tell you, at the.
beginning of the season, there wasn't a. lot of Lions defense on good deed. >> No. Especially even not from him. He he. had a rough start to the season. I'm. sure Foxy could speak on that. But as. they get healthier, Branch got banged up. again, but as they get healthier on that. back end, I think this defense will. start to show up and make plays. But you. mentioned a lot of running. When you're. playing a receiver, obviously Justin. Jefferson is great. Jordan Addison's a. good receiver as well. So getting that. speed turn and putting that foot in the. ground, getting back downhill to where. he can undercut. And yeah, there is a. slight tug, but unless you kind of. really restrict that wide receiver or. turn him, that back judge isn't going to.
throw that flag. That's a big time play. by Savvy Vet. >> That's great, Dean, from the Lions. Good. for you, Foxy. You thought we'd never. see the Lions on this particular. segment? >> No, never in a million years after that. start, but the last three games, this. defense is playing pretty good. And do I. think they're going to give up a lot of. yards and a lot of points? Yes. But. those turnovers and catching those and. capitalizing on those. That's everything. that'll keep this team in the game. >> Can't stress enough. Love the update we. got from Jack Campbell for the Detroit. Lions. Hopefully that continues to go. that way. Good for the Detroit Lions. being a brand new Lions yet again. And.
oh, we got some more good D happening. from a team with a good offensive line. Yep. We had the Jags, we had the Lions, now we have the Buffalo Bills. I think. these are three teams that were also on. in the trenches. So, you talk about. complimentary football. Another defense. that needs to start playing better. football. Just released CJ GJ and I said. that shows some confidence in the guys. that they have playing right now. So, right here kind of showing a split. safety look, but all four of these guys. will be gonna be in man coverage. My. favorite coverage right here looks like. a one robber. You got man-to-man match.
on the outside. And then this guy right. here, Gino Stone, who's played a ton of. football, he's going to be the robber, and he's reading one guy, the. quarterback. So, you're filling out. routes, and you're reading a guy, uh, the quarterback. And this is Joey. >> Pheno. Read the rookies to him. >> Boom. Tipped it. You talk about tips and. overthrow. This is Igbonosen, Ohio State. National Champ, gets a pick. It all. starts with the defense, though. It all. starts with reading that quarterback, getting the ball in the air, and taking. advantage of, getting your hands on the. ball. I know he wants to catch that.
interception. He catches a lot of them, but that's a big time play. >> Feniano will be playing for the Ravens. uh uh because the Jacobe Burke trade. will not be finalized in time for. Thursday Night Football. Probably making. his start Monday Night Football against. the Chargers next week. So, this is. probably. >> Jeez, give me a break. >> It's Monday Night Football. >> That game [ __ ] sucks. I feel bad for. you that you have to go there and sit. out there and act like that thing means.
anything. >> It does. Jacob versus doesn't mean it. doesn't. >> Yeah. Yeah, it does. It. >> doesn't. Is that in LA? >> No. >> Okay. At least you got to fly to. Baltimore. Jeez Louise. >> I don't like that. Just, you know, sometimes you got to call spade a spade. Yeah. You can't flex it. It's not week. 12. Yeah. That game [ __ ] sucks. >> Yeah. And it is Monday Night Football, so [ __ ] put something out there that. people want to see. >> Okay. Hey, Jacobe Brassette getting a.
start for the Ravens. Jesse Mentor and. the boys might go on a run for the rest. of the season in a very tough AFC North. And the Chargers, is there any signs of. life? Well, good news. They're being. showcased right here. >> Oh, yeah. No, not not so bad. Obviously, they're winning this, but uh he's. leading the league. Justin Herbert with. 10 interceptions right now. And this is. a another one. >> How many games have they played. >> as a quarterback? You got to know you. see split safety coverage. still a game. It's a eight-point game in the third. quarter. First down. You see split. safety coverage, you automatically know, hey, it's a potential that the corners.
can come up and play these flats. And. that's what Trent McDuffy does. I. believe they're fourth in pass defense, five in total defense. Lad McCunky, he's. going to be the guy in the flat, but. he's not even getting past the line of. scrimmage. So, McDuffy is just reading. the quarterback. You see Herbert, he. wants to throw this ball right on his. back foot. Not there. He never even sees. McDuffy. Throws it right here. Great job. reading him. And I think this is a. perfect example of just the offense and. the quarterback just just not fitting. together. We saw, if you run it back to.
the wide copy, we saw Tua do this when. he was playing good football a million. times. Get to that back foot, do a play. action, and then hit a guy between the. numbers and the hash marks. And that's. where you want to be. That's kind of how. this offense is built. I just don't. think that's the type of quarterback. Justin Herbert is. You see him try to. execute this here. You also see Trent. McDuffy do a great job just baiting him. up and taking full advantage of the. quarterback. >> Miles Garrett coming back, right? Aaron. Donald back. McDuffy still on this team. Do the Rams defense have a chance to be. the showcase D that we thought they were. coming into the season still?
>> Yes, I think the Rams def I think they. have good coaching. I think they have. great football players. So yeah, at this. point in the season, as long as they can. stay healthy, I think they can continue. to get better. And then we all expect, you know, Matthew Stafford and that. offense to continue to be able to put up. points. >> I'm about sick of seeing Justin Herbert. on Good D every week. Seems like he's. becoming a mainstay. >> Yeah. Too damn much. Justin herbs and. cheese. >> Jeez. On a. >> Italian toasted. >> shredded lettuce. >> That's right. >> Little mayo on there.
>> If you're the Vikings, why wouldn't you. offer three first round picks for him. right now? Four first round pick. >> You want to say he'll be good in Kevin. Okonnell's offense? >> Well, Kevin Oonnell, for what we think, isn't a dork dip [ __ ] like Mike McDaniel. is. So, I get it, you know, but I mean, everybody says, "Hey, Okonnell can win. with anybody, >> but that hasn't been. >> I know, but. >> I think there's a lot of timing, >> but Justin hurt like this is crazy. He. has he has not been with Exact. He.
hasn't been this guy ever until you. bring in. >> until what? Until you bring in Four Eyes. and then he is. >> That's not what people were blaming on. him. >> Smooching too much. >> He's in love. >> Yeah. Yeah. You think you think Beersy's. moving to Minnesota? Not a [ __ ]. chance. She'll stay there. He'll go back. in the off season. >> Then he'll be bummed be in Italy again. Alan Sabber will be down. >> We are bummed about Herbert. >> I agree. >> We were excited to watch Herbert. continue to grow into a. >> um maybe top five quarterback in NFL.
like a guy that's going to lead the. entire league. Doesn't look like that. right now. I don't know if it's strictly. because the offense coordinator or. because he's in love. What other case. it's not working. What we do know is. working is everything DB good. back. >> Appreciate you, Debbut. Good work this. week, man. >> You too, brother. >> Sorry about the travel wos. That's. >> it happened. >> Glad I made it. >> Better than the alternative. Better uh. with you here than not with you here, though. You just need to know that. Hey. Q, we appreciate you, buddy. >> Great work, boys. >> Hey Q, now before we get out of here and.
you've already kind of embarrassed. yourself a few different times and you. said, you know what, let me keep doing. it. You want to stick with the football? >> Yep. >> Do the snap thing. >> He could drain a free throw. We should. give him two free throws if he makes. one. Don't disrespect Hall of Famer like. this, AJ. >> Thank you, AJ. Because that was a. conversation going into the final hour. with AQ off air that he was like, I'm. football. It's football. We're getting. back to football. I'm not throwing. donkeys anymore or whatever. It's like, no, just go shoot a B. We can get some. winners. We like winners. We would like. people to celebrate and enjoy life. That.
was a good ball handle right there. Just. dribbled that thing. I think that's good. news. AQ, if you're able to put that. football into that hoop right over. there, 30 people win $500. Before you do. it though, let's go ahead and get you. thinking about a little bit. Ty Schmidt. has a motivational message for you. >> Better see you get down there and. [ __ ] snap it to yourself. Okay, let's. not dick around. We know you almost made. that. Listen, it can't be worse than. your last couple throws. It It literally. can't be. So, anything better than that. and we'll chalk that up as a win. >> I don't know if that was a motivational. message or an inspiring one. Whatever.
the case, could it be the reason why you. knocked down a shot and 30 people win. 500? What's it on, please? >> First sound. >> First sound. >> Oh, that was boring. I was hoping for a. full CADENCE DOWN THERE. 180 AQ for. third. Oh no. >> Online though. >> Good line. >> Good line. >> I like the optimism here. >> That ball never got above the hoop. >> A lot needs to go right too if you're. throwing an absolute laser like that. >> Yeah, cuz it's going to go off the. backboard. >> AQ shiply 30.
>> Take your ship 30. >> TRY DUDE. Try to make it. AQ 30 PEOPLE. >> Remember the Chuck speech, man. 50. PEOPLE. >> that was it. >> I think it did that one go in. I think. that went in. >> All right. >> I think it did. It was. >> Thank you for allowing us to do this for. a living. We hope everybody is happy. with where they are in their lives. We. hope everybody enjoys the hell out of. it. We try to celebrate every moment. that we get to do this. Actually,
>> we get to watch somebody embarrass. themselves. Uh kind of showcase whether. or not they're athletic in this. particular feat and fail miserably. But. let's not forget this is Super Bowl. champion. Thank you. >> Hell yeah. >> All right. Be a friend. Tell a friend. something nice might change your life. We're in this thing together. We'll see. you tomorrow. Thank you all so much. Team on me. Team on three. 1 2 3. Goodbye.
