[music] Heat. [music]. [music]. Heat. [music].
>> [music]. >> The following program is a collection of. students talking about happenings in the. sports world. It is meant to be comedic, informative. The opinions expressed on. this show do not necessarily reflect the. beliefs of their peers, their boss, or. ESPN. There may be some cuss words. because that's how humans in the real. world talk. If you are a young, please.
seek permission before watching any. further. >> Hey, >> let's go. >> This show stinks and the fact that you. listen, we are very, very thankful for. >> McAfee on the line with a gorgeous. assist. >> The alltime leading tackler for the. Green Bay Packers, you. Damn it. Tell [music] your friend. Tell. a friend something nice could change. their life.
>> Hello beautiful people [music] and. welcome to our humble the boat the draft. kings thunderdome on just a good sports. Wednesday June [music] 24th 2026. This. sports program begins now. sports. >> are the greatest. And uh last night the. NBA drafted what might be one of the. most impactful draft classes of all time. last night as Dansa goes number one.
overall to Washington and then Darren. Peterson out of Kansas goes to the Utah. Jazz and then Duke's Cameron Boozer goes. three. We'll chitchat about this. obviously throughout the entirety of the. first hour. We'll have Big Perk joining. us. He's been on every show chitchatting. about last night. He's obviously batting. a thousand this morning, but I am. excited to get former player and pundits. thoughts about why I feel so high about. this entire class. I mean, Darius Akoff. Jr. there at seven out of Arkansas, we. all as soon as we saw him play for the. first time, >> let's not act like it was during March.
Madison. Arkansas was on [laughter] a. little bit of a run. >> SEC play. >> We watched the entire We saw him the. entire year. We watch him and we. immediately go, "That's an NBA guy." And. then it feels like across the board it. was like that. And then the NBA uh front. office and general manager said, "This. draft is pretty deep. This feels like a. good draft. Felt like last night was a. good celebration of that. Ryan Smith, the owner of the Utah Jazz, will join us. in about 10 minutes or so. They make the. big decision to draft Aaron Peterson, who on the court averaged 20 points a. game this last season. Has it all. literally has obviously been a NBA guy,
probably deemed that since he was. probably uh ninth grade, maybe 10th. grade in this entirety. He goes number. two overall. Has to watch Donso number. one overall. And uh there was a video of. him watching from the FanFest uh at. Utah. I don't know if you guys saw the. clips from last night. >> Oh yeah, pretty sweet. >> Utah had a fan festival for the number. two overall pick. First time they've had. a top five pick in 100 years. >> Correct. Whatever it is. And Utah, Ryan. Smith, more specifically and Smith. Entertainment Group have brought a lot. of professional sports in here to Utah. And what we're realizing is if you build. it, they will come. Utah loves their.
sports teams, loves everything about. what they have going on and they'll show. up for each other, it appears. And uh. the FanFest was massive for the number. two overall pick for a draft. I mean, you think this is the biggest I've ever. seen a watch along for a draft pick. Oh, yeah. And Darren Peterson, who. potentially was maybe uh being talked. about as a guy that doesn't want to. maybe go to Utah, doesn't want to go to. small, you know, these types of things. do happen, >> especially whenever you're talking about. big time talent, a big time name, want. to go to a big city. Obviously, that is. normally the thought. This happened with. Ace Bailey with the Utah Jazz uh last.
year, I believe. And we'll see how he. has caught up with it all. And we'll ask. Ryan Smith what his thoughts are on. Darren Pearson, draft him number two. overall. That was a huge deal for them. and the Utah Jazz and I think their fans. included think like the hard times have. kind of maybe ended and now they're. going to go on a run. That's what the. draft indicates. So we have Perk, we. have Ryan Smith and obviously World Cup. Bonanza's happening right now. >> Yeah, it is. >> Mhm. >> Look around. >> There's a soccer game happening. Cool. >> Six of them happening today. >> Mhm. >> Hey, two at a time. We got these things. three different time slots. How you.
doing? Keep it moving. Canada, Switzerland kicking this entire thing. off. And then at some point today, you're going to see an ass beating. At. some point today, you're going to see a. devastating loss, and at some point. today, we think you're going to see a. tie. >> No doubt. Yep. >> Soccer's been swinging a hot bat. >> Yep. >> Okay. The stars have been scoring all. over the place, including Cristiano. Ronaldo, >> who put two in the back of the net. And. whenever he was asked about Messi and. him bop saying, he said, "I don't want. to talk about others. >> Talk about me right now.".
>> CR7, baby. >> Six World Cup. Oldest guy to ever score. in a World Cup. Thank you so much. How. we doing? Let's go ahead and continue. this thing. But nonetheless, the stars. have all been showing up for us at every. single game. Is that right? >> That's why the World Cup has been so. fantastic. Let's go to the toxic table. at Boston Connor and Ty Schmidt. The. stars have been kind of the wagon that. we have latched ourselves upon whenever. we're watching this World Cup, which is. why I think the World Cup is seeing. numbers that it maybe could have never. imagined or fathomemed because the names. that we know are all doing big time. things. And when we turn on a game, if.
we know at least one of the names, whether it's from playing FIFA where you. know they'll say, you know, you just. hear the name, you just kind of. understand what it is, you know what's. going on. All the stars are showing up. for us. Every single one of them thus. far has shown up for us in a big way. Except for that English guy. >> Yeah. >> And I'll tell you what, Harry Kane. [snorts]. >> Eric Kane. Eric, >> more like Eric Kate. Score a [ __ ]. goal.
>> I think you got more than that. I think. you got a couple in the chamber. >> Yeah, I do got a couple, but we'll wait. I'm going to, you know, unload those. over the next two hours or so. >> We were hanging on to every single step. that this guy took on that [ __ ]. yesterday. I'll tell you what, whenever. you're trusting the stars, >> it's hard not to just follow the stars. every single move. >> We nuked them, man. We all nuked him. >> We did maybe had him responsibly in. parlays with other guys who held up. their end of the bargain.
>> responsibly for us. >> Anyways, six. >> England in [screaming] Massachusetts. What were we thinking? >> So obvious the entire time. >> He grew up a Pats fan. He likes the. Patriots. It was at Gillette Pat. Stadium. >> I also don't know if you saw. there's allegedly a little witchcraft. going on. Yeah, I saw. >> And shout out to witch doctor. Witchcraft doctor. >> Not shout out. Not shout out. >> It works. >> No, not shout [screaming] out.
>> No, I'm thinking we should pay. attention. >> We should definitely shout him out. We. should be on his good side. >> Yeah, we we need to pay attention to. this. He'll curse you next. Bingo. So, this is a photo that's circulating, a. video circulating the internet. Uh, and. this is during the uncursing of Harry. Kane. I want to let you know he just. only cursed Harry Kane against Ghana to. not score. Didn't wish for injury. Didn't wish for anything like that. And. then he unccurs him and said he can. score the rest of the thing. So maybe we. do listen to the potential uh witchcraft. that's happening in this entire thing. And we uh we know he's going to score.
next time. But boy, we can't be putting. our emotional um stability on this guy. again. I don't think yesterday was the. most intense I've ever kind of felt in a. soccer match while watching this guy. kind of maybe put something together for. us. We had him bop. >> Had him bop. >> We had Haland. >> Had Haland. >> We had Messi. >> Had Messi. >> We had Ronaldo. >> Had Ronaldo. >> We didn't have Ronaldo. >> No. >> And then we had Ronaldo. >> Had Ronaldo. >> And then every game. >> And you're thinking, you know, Ghana is.
ranked like 64th in FIFA's, you know, world standings or whatever the hell. There's no way. And then he gets just, you know, for the first 85 minutes, he. basically just he just [ __ ] [snorts]. sat on the pitch. didn't really look. like he was, you know, even wanted to be. out there. I hear I'm thinking I hear. all this stuff about is coming home is. coming is coming after how they looked. against Croatia. And boy were they just. disinterested from jump yesterday. Ary. didn't look like he wanted to be on the. pitch. And then he gets an opportunity.
and what does he do? I mean. kicks [laughter] it out of the stadium. misses a sitter. It was a sitter. It was. easy. on the six. But remember, Messi missed. the penalty kick. Then he scored two. >> Yeah, he scored two more after that. >> Okay, but Eric Kway might be getting a. little bit too com he's got good tan. right now. He's got a good. >> go to baseball. Plain and simple. >> Take it easy. >> That guy. Let's relax. [laughter] All. right. >> He gets a lot of [ __ ] and say he had a. bad game. Saying he sucks crossing the. line a bit there.
>> He sucks. >> He does not. I think Eric Kane's a late. top class finisher, which. >> used to be. Well, I would like to let. everybody know what we watched yesterday. in that English game, which we have had. the World Cup fever. And I'll tell you, the English game almost turned some. people off. >> It almost better come home. >> They're saying AR's teeth grew about 2. in yesterday. >> Oh, no. He's not long in the tooth. He's. still. >> first game a week ago. >> That was going last week. >> Welcome to American Daily Sports uh. fanhood here. Okay, I love Eric Kane,
but yesterday was a tough day. This stat. is outrageous. Only once since 1966 has. a team reached both marks in a World Cup. match when Spain beat Costa Rica 7. nothing normally. 79% possession, 93%. pass completion. I mean just couldn't. finish. You know who couldn't do it? Eric Kane. Three passes though. >> Does Hambo have a stat on how many World. Cup winners have won all three group. games or no? >> No. I. >> only three times ever. >> Okay. Sweet. >> I would have been okay with a one-1.
draw. >> Two two. >> Yeah. Hell, it could have been [ __ ] 18 to. 18. I just needed Aar Kane to use that. right boot and put one in the back of. the net. [laughter]. That's why it's so frustrating because, you know, you don't really watch soccer. like I I I'm not watching week to week, but then the World Cup comes around and. these guys are delivering. So, you're. winning bet after bet after bet after. bet after bet after bet and it's like, my god, I'm invincible. I cannot lose. I.
cannot lose. Cristiano scores, too. And. I I'm thinking, of course, >> AR might score eight. >> Yeah, exactly. AR is gonna dice up these. Ghana folks. And it just it now and now. today like I'm I'm looking I'm looking. >> Oh, we got something. We got something. for you. >> But I'm going through the DraftKings app. and just my brain scrambled whereas you. were seeing it. Two days two days ago. wasn't even thinking about it. Like that. like that like that like that. And they. were all coming home. And then now I I.
don't know which way's up. I really. don't. I mean, this has sent me into. >> We've really fallen into our World Cup. fever into a hurricane. >> We're kind of spiraling. Yeah, if you. will. >> Yeah, we need to It's a hurricane by way. of ary. >> It certainly is. Yeah, I I would say uh. that is certainly the case. >> Hurricane, if you will. >> Uh but uh. [laughter]. today's the day we see it. >> Yep. >> Candace Switzerland tie it. >> Okay. A gentleman's draw if you will. >> Yep. That's what I think.
>> Now we got to root for a draw. >> No, it's gonna soccer. [laughter]. It's gonna do soccer. It's. [clears throat] going to do soccer. Yesterday, I think we started tasting. soccer a little bit with Harry Kane. You. know, I think we're starting to taste a. little bit poop. >> I think Canada, Switzerland, if you were. to look at this game, you'd say, what is. the best outcome possibly uh draw, you. know, Switzerland and Canada just kind. of move along and uh they do that. So, I. think there's a chance it's a draw. We. boosted it to plus 300. Come join us. Nice boots in there. >> The blurred out uh ones. Those are nice. boots. >> Oh, you're [laughter] talking about the.
blurred out 90 boots. >> Yeah. I mean, that's a 50/50 ball. You. see that's what's happening right there. We're kind of in a stalemate, me and. Gumpy. So, that was kind of. It's a draw. >> Yeah, he doesn't have a lot of uh. leverage there. I I think I am forcing. his leg probably up and back if I had to. guess at this point. But at this moment, we are currently in a draw and that is. uh that is clear as day right there. That's what we think is going to happen. Canon Switzerland obviously couldn't. pick that. all the other there are. favorites that we assume are going to. win because that is soccer but also. soccer. There's a chance that a zero. zero game happens and you watch it in.
its entirety and you don't understand. what just happened. >> Welcome to World Cup Bonanza. 24 games. in the next four days. Let's go to one. half of the hammer died. >> Cowboys AP tone. Have the sports books. been losing because all the stars have. been dominating in the World Cup. I. assume that they could have never. projected that all the stars and all the. big names would be playing this great. Yeah, I I would imagine they have lost. uh quite a bit based off of the goal. scorers and the teams that have winning. that are winning with those goal. scorers. There were a couple um draws. like yesterday with the England match.
and others where there was unexpected. draws. Belgium has been pretty good to. the sports books so far. Uh the. Netherlands opening up with with a draw. I believe was probably not or probably. was good for the sports books. But as a. whole, this the stars and the teams the. names that you know winning has been bad. for the sports books. I would say with. the um World Cup bonanza, that's six six. games today, six games tomorrow, six. games a day after that, and another six. games after that. When you're betting. these games, make sure you know u what.
these teams are playing for. Like Mexico. today, I'm not saying they're not going. to win, but Mexico has already won their. group and advance. Czech is still. playing to try to go through and. advance. So, just while you're while. you're betting all these today, um just. like you know with the Switzerland and. Canada, if they both draw, they're both. through. That's kind of like why we like. that bet a little bit. Um, just know the. outcomes and the re or sorry the the. what the teams are playing for today, tomorrow, the next day, and the day. after that before you betting them. >> Yeah. And I like the fact that the. reason why they're having two games at a. time is to try to at least hold on to a.
little bit of the allure of uh not. knowing what the other team's going to. do. But since we had a couple teams here. already qualify, we understand the. answers. And and I I am intrigued to see. how Team USA handles tomorrow uh night. against Turier. >> Yep. Turkey. Turkey. Hey, >> I do appreciate that we're using all. like the world's. >> things for everybody here. >> We're cultured. >> I feel like we are becom more culture. >> I don't know about respectful. >> We all agree what we're having for lunch. tomorrow. >> Yeah. Turkey sandwiches. >> Bingo.
>> Tay sandwiches. >> Turkey. >> And that's what we've been trying to. say. >> Little proolone and M on there. >> Yeah, you're right. Maybe the turkey. Hey, >> nonetheless, we have nothing but respect. for the turkay. Hey, >> no, he already said it. >> I already said it, [laughter]. >> folks. But tomorrow night, I think we're. going to see a lot of our reserves play. I think we're going to get a lot of. minutes out of people that we still know. that maybe we saw in the qualifying and. that whatever the case and uh they'll. get a ch. We got really good players. It's not like back in the day where we.
only had four good players and then. literally just the field 11. We're. trying to figure out who can get on the. field and not kind of blow it basically. is what the idea was. Now it's like it. does feel like we may maybe have 14 15. guys that are pretty good. So, I think. we still have a obviously an incredible. chance to win this game. We're favored. uh on on the sports books, but also I. think we're going to see some new names. and there's a chance that somebody. ignites a little bit of a a sub, maybe. become a first one off the bench cuz. five subs going into the elimination. rounds, especially if things aren't. going great are a huge deal. This is one.
of those games like a fourth preseason. game where you can earn some time going. down the stretch. So, if somebody gets. splashy like Raina obviously already has. a splash moment, let's assume he's going. to do some magical things. But you talk. about wea, you talk about uh bur halter. >> Yes. Bur halter definitely with a set. piece potentially. It's like there there. are some names. >> Joe scally. >> Sure. >> Definitely big scally. But yeah, we have. like real I think we have real studs. still which I think is good news for the. state of US soccer. Okay, let's pivot. away from World Cup Bonanza which. obviously six games today, six games.
tomorrow and then the following two days. after that as well. So we got a lot of. soccer happening. Hopefully the games. will continue to be awesome. Speaking of. awesome, last night there was an awesome. event where the NBA drafted its next. round of rookies into its league. Now, this group of rookies has been heralded. as maybe one of the most impactful, maybe the most influential. I'll tell. you what, we knew people that are. getting drafted 10, 11, 12, 13, even 30. there to compete in this draft. The. number two overall pick was obviously. highly soughta because is it going to be. Dansa or will it be a man who had a lot.
of question marks but obviously a lot of. ability in Darren Peterson? Joining us. now, the owner of the Utah Jazz and the. chair of the Smith Entertainment Group, ladies and gentlemen, Ryan Smith. >> Sweet merch. The UJ is sick. And I. assume you have one for Big Jay as well. That is a great shirt right there. That's a [laughter] great shirt. Congratulations on last night, Ryan. Uh. it felt felt like a overwhelmingly. positive evening for the Utah Jazz and. the Utah people. The FanFest clip that.
we saw huge. uh watching Peterson watch. the FanFest clip. Awesome. Uh feels like. last night was a smashing success for. you. Is this how you guys expected it to. go? >> Yeah, I mean first like I think from the. moment that we received the second pick, we knew we were going to get a stud, right? And I think this this draft, if. you could look back or look forward, you. could easily see two or three guys as. being. um it's really deep and we were super.
fortunate. We were lucky to be in this. spot and uh we couldn't be more excited. I mean, look at the fans reaction there. with DP. Um you know, he's a 66 guard. who, you know, you got to step up and. guard him. He's going to go around you. and he he's he's a winner. He makes. everyone better. So, we're super. excited. He's excited. Um, so it's it's. it's a piece that you just don't get. every day. And, you know, we're excited. to add him with Keonte George in the.
back court. That's going to be a pretty. crazy duo. And then if you look at Lowry. Marketing, Jiren Jackson Jr., Ace. Bailey, Walker Kesler, and a bunch of. our other guys. Um, we're going. >> Yeah, it feels like you, Coach Hardy, obviously A's boy have all been in this. for the long haul and it's obviously. good whenever owner, manager, and coach. are all rowing in the same direction. Feel like you have gotten to this point. to add Darren Peterson to this group. Obviously spectacular for you, but this. wasn't like uh uh, no pun intended here,
a layup of a pick or was it because of. how talented he is? there seemingly. outside looking in just as uh we'll call. ourselves football uh idiots that cover. sports as a whole. So from a 30,000 ft. view, there was some questions about. Darren Peterson. Then I'm hearing. answers where he's thinking like, what. would Kobe do in this situation? Then. I'm seeing him watch the video of the. fans over there and he's like, I can't. wait to get out there. So did you have. to decipher through what was real, what. wasn't? How'd you guys go through that? And inevitably, what do you think you're. getting here with Peterson?
Yeah. So, I think first we're getting a. player with a chip on the shoulder. I. think he said that. I mean, he he he had. been the number one pick for for most of. the year coming in kind of unanimous. And then obviously, you know, we're. close to AJ there at BYU and, you know, you got these two talents and then, you. know, Boozer was equally as uh is kind. of sought after as you kind of look. through and see where people end up. And. so, um, you know, I think he he wants to.
come out and show everyone what he can. be. And and I think these, you know, you. know how the internet goes, right? I I. remember when we were doing that fan. poll to name uh name our hockey team, you literally said, >> you know, you know what the internet's. like out there? You really going to turn. this out there? So, these narratives go. these narratives go out there and they. kind of take a life of their own. But, you know, from our standpoint, like. what's real and what's not real. I mean, that's the job that we all have today,
not only as consumers of media, but also. as you're in these positions in sports. is to say, who who's the kid? Who's the. family? How is this? What's he going to. be? You're you're kind of leaving no. stone unturned. But, um, you know, from. from our interactions with Darren, look, he wants to be in Utah. He's a beautiful. kid. He's mature. Um, and and he's ready. for the moment and, you know, he's got. that that a little bit of that humble.
confidence that you see in the eye of a. lot of these killers who have come. before him. And so that's what we like. But he is 19, right? And as we've seen. with other 19year-olds we have that have. come in, like there's a learning curve. The NBA is real and our excitement is. just like what we can do together. and. he's a team player and you know we. couldn't be more excited. I think I. think Austin, Danny, uh Will, our whole. crew, Avery, like we've we've done a. pretty good job. I mean, obviously flew.
out there last weekend and um you know, came back super pumped on both sides, I. think. >> Okay, I'm excited. He averaged 20. points, more than 20 points a game still. with all the conversation that was about. him last year at Kansas. He averages 20. points a game. Last year, Ace Bailey or. was it two years ago? >> Yeah, last one was last year. Last year. the conversation was like Ace Bailey. doesn't want to go to Utah, doesn't want. to go to Utah. Then inevitably he ends. up in Utah. How is he doing now? And. what what have you realized about. everything that you've been pitching. about Utah to people which we've gotten. to experience? We go up there. We love.
it. We we all moved up there. But not. just us, like obviously uh you know you. picked up an entire hockey team from. Phoenix and moved them to Utah. So. you're selling Utah to obviously NBA. players having to sell Utah. What do you. think has has been happening with your. teams, your fans, and your players as. they've experienced the growth out. there? >> So, we have a unique opportunity where. it's really Utah and New Jersey, right? So, like you look out and how many we're. representing an entire state. We're. representing the fastest growing state. in the country. Um, you know, one of the.
states with the, you know, highest. possibility for economic prosperity. If. you move to Utah, your likelihood to to. exceed or jump a different socioeconomic. class is higher than anywhere else. We're the youngest state. So, as you can. see out there, I mean, we got a lot of. kids. Like, this is how it goes. And and. so, we got that there's a responsibility. to go provide a great experience for. everyone that's comes and kind of wear. that that stewardship to to do that in.
Utah. And that's what it's about for for. me and my wife. Um, as far as the. narratives out there that people don't. want to come, I I mean, I've got players. crying when we trade them, right? People. want to be here once they're here. They. see the people, they meet the people, they want to be a part of it. Everything. in life's about the people. And the. people are amazing. And, you know, I. think I think right now in sports or or. at least with internet, there's a lazy. narrative out there. I already know what. the narrative is always going to be. They're going to have to hit every.
market with something. I mean, >> which one? What's the narative? No, it's. it's just the narrative is going to be. small market. This is what's going on. Like, you know, >> Mormons everywhere. Mormons, there's no. alcohol. >> Can't order a double. >> Can you spit on the street? I don't even. know if you're allowed to sneak. Like, that's what people think about. That's. what they think. Like, that is. >> But but but you're you're seeing a. narrative in every market. You're seeing. it in Toronto with hockey, right? You're. seeing it all over. You're seeing it, you know, with NBA stars that they don't.
win after three years. It's like, oh, the everyone's like, you got to get them. out of there. And we're trying to create. a culture where people are like, I don't. ever want to leave. I mean, I've got. players right now who are coming to us. at the trade deadline this year going, I. know this is a business. Do not trade. me. I want to be here. Please, I want to. be here. Or, you know, unfortunately, it's part of the business where we've. had to trade players and they're like, I. I I'll come back in two seconds. And so, we're five years into this. You know, Rome wasn't built in a day. Um, but I I.
love every single thing about our. market. Danny's bullish on our market. Austin's bully on on our market. Our. coach is bullish. And you know, you get. someone like Ace who comes in and he's. thriving. I was I saw him yesterday. He's smiling. He's in the gym. He's. working. Kee, same thing. And so, um, but also we got to start winning. And. that'll that'll that'll change a lot in. hoops. And I think everyone kind of sees. in the NBA like, okay, you've got you.
got OKC, you've got San Antonio, you've. got Utah with a roster looks like that. with youth. Um, it's pretty exciting. So, I couldn't be more excited about. where we're going and I'm I'm proud to. represent the market and have a chance. to kind of expose it to the world. And, you know, I think we've got we've got a. lot to offer. You know, Rome wasn't. built in a day, but if you buy a mall, you can build a couple facilities and. like uh Yeah. [laughter]. >> Hey, by the way, that that party was at. the mall. >> See that? That's why you have a mall.
>> Yeah, you buy a mall. That's a good. idea. That just Oh, that's in that. parking lot of the mall. Smart. You got. a lot of space. >> Yeah, it's a big parking lot. >> Yeah, you buy a mall. You see, you also. pick up all the parking spots that are. alongside you could have a fanfest. Everybody. >> Go ahead. >> Did you see Dallas? Dallas is moving to. a mall. I think I saw that. I read about. that. Oh, you feel like you're maybe the. mall trailblazer here. >> Hey, I'm just saying it it. [clears throat] was it was right in. front of everybody. >> It's a lot of space. Lot of space. We. got Nordstrom's over here. That looks.
like that could be a basketball. facility, doesn't it? Three stories. We. take that [ __ ] out. We got. >> We can even work on throwing it over the. thing if we need to. And then guess. what? We got a cafeteria. So, we already. got food, right? Don't we need one of. those? >> Any other businesses? Anybody wants a. fake maker room? [laughter]. >> Pull one down here at the [ __ ]. Spencer's gift shop down here. Easy. >> It's a good idea. We love Utah, man. Legit. That's why whenever you said what. all the narratives are out there or the. internet's going to say, we knew them. because we we thought them and then we. go out there and experience it. It's. like, wow, this place is gorgeous.
Unreal. Okay. You talk about people. getting traded and obviously that's a. part of the business. Also, having. number two overall pick is a pretty. valuable thing. Go ahead, Con. Man, >> yeah Ryan, you mentioned all the great. players. You know, Cam Boozer also being. highly soughta. Uh we talked about. Darius Auff earlier. He went seventh and. it felt like he was a number one overall. pick talent, but how many calls did you. guys get for that number two pick? It. feels like that would be something you. could get a hall for um and still get a. good player later on in the draft. Were. there teams that are pretty aggressive.
trying to trade up or what was that. situation? >> Yeah, absolutely. I mean, people were. offering the farm to try to get in the. top three obviously. Um you know, and. we've been there. I mean, we we we. drafted fifth last year. We drafted. ninth and 10th and you know those calls. are interesting. People li listen and. kind of smirk and think what if but it's. really hard to to see that. It was. interesting almost from the jump there. was almost just no movement and there.
wasn't going to be any movement in the. top four. I think everyone kind of felt. like they would they would be kind of. where they are. And um but for us like. you know you've got a chance to get a. generational player um that fits in with. the team and you know we we've done the. hey we're trading everything for all the. picks for the last couple years and. we've had those picks but you know it's. time to go. So that's that's kind of how. we thought about it. But you know. whether it's Auff or wherever I mean it. was a it was a super deep draft. I mean,
if you were drafting seventh, eighth, and ninth, I mean, you were looking at a. lot of names and trying to figure out. like how's this going to go? I think. this is going to be one of those drafts. that would be super interesting to watch. play out. Um, because if you were to. say, hey, you know, there's four allNBA. guys in this draft. Like, who are they, right? It's it it's pretty easy to see. they're there somewhere. It could be. >> Well, good for you guys. >> It'll be interesting to watch. Hey, good. for you guys getting the number two. overall pick in that particular draft.
class, right? Because this draft class. has been talked about and obviously it's. the last year of the tanking, >> which you weren't doing. You were just. uh rebuilding, >> reloading. >> Yeah. Okay. >> Got fined for that. [laughter]. But nonetheless, moving forward, there. is a whole new plan. And if your. teammates assure. you're. so Okay, I like that you're back. He. said, "Don't even have me on this. I. don't [laughter] even I don't even want. to be on this. >> Not going to be ass.".
>> No. Hey. Hey. I think I think it's going. to be interesting next year just to see. where I mean there's going to be the. draft and where everyone picks. But I. think the lottery is going to be as. crazy as anything because no one knows. what's going to happen, who's going to. go where. We got like this mini bottom. three relegation. I mean, it's going to. be wild as I mean, the draft lottery is. going to be made for television to watch. because, you know, the impact like we. got the hockey draft on Friday, right? Of course. >> And the impacts the impact's insane, but.
you're also looking at, hey, I've got. this goalie that we're drafting. Maybe. we'll see him in 2030, right? Like it's. a little different on how how that works. where you're building out the farm club. you know, the impact of the NBA with. these players that these players can. come in and just make an impact right. away is is super super unique. >> I can't wait to watch Peterson Cook out. there in Utah. You're the man. Congrats. and uh keep going. >> All right, boys. >> Yeah. Good luck Friday. >> Toss up, dude. Toss up. Toss up, dude.
>> Appreciate you, boys. >> Ryan Smith, ladies and gentlemen. >> Yeah, Ryan. >> Toss up, dude. >> Drafting American. Keep it American. here. >> Toss up, dude. >> Toss up. Speaking of uh are you talking about. hockey? >> Yeah. >> Got it. Yeah. We like to keep him there. So we don't have to trade later like. ready to get. >> could could have told me that the NHL. draft was in two months. >> and I would have been like wow we got to. start preparing for that. >> But instead it's two days from now. >> already happened. >> What? Yeah cuz Mc uh Conor.
>> McKenna I would have said. >> Gavin. Yeah. Gavin. >> the next Conor McDavid. goes by Conor McKenna. >> From Penn State. >> Yes. who I like. >> Me too. Big time. By the way, will love. him whenever he's. >> in the NHL. >> Yeah. Once he gets out of Toronto, >> he's getting drafted in Toronto. They. got the number one overall pick. They. won the lottery. See, I don't like that. >> It's a huge problem. It should have been. the Bruins pick, but whatever. >> Well, it should have been a Pence for. sure. >> No, no, no. We actually had their pick, but they got to keep the pick because it.
was in the top five. >> Oh, so it was like one of those safe. picks that the Indiana Pacers didn't. have. >> Except we actually get their pick in two. years now. You guys don't get anything. >> Yeah, but you don't get McKenna. >> We don't want McKenna. >> I think we do though. We do. If we can. get him, we would like to get We got our. eyes on this. >> Get back to NBA and the draft that. happened last night because although we. didn't maybe pump its tires enough. leading up to it. Everybody in. basketball seemingly said that this is a. draft class that's going to be. remembered. This is a draft class that's. going to, you know, have impact. immediately. Joining us now, ladies and.
gentlemen, is a man who's all over the. coverage and obviously front of the. program, former NBA champ, living. legend. Ladies and gentlemen, slimmer. version. Oh yeah. >> Kendrick Perkins. >> Perk. >> Hey, what's up big Perk? >> What up fellas? >> Hey, what's up? >> I'm seeing you doing more standing. things on TV. I think you know why I. think that is? >> I think we're trying to showcase the. bottle a little bit more. Light on your. feet. >> I think we're starting to feel a little. bit. I think we're trying I think we are. starting to look in the mirror a little. bit and saying, you know what, I maybe I. do need to stand up a little bit. Maybe.
let these hogs kind of dance a little. bit. It feels like you've been moving. You look good, Perk. You look good. Well, well, you know, you know, sometimes like the side view of me. standing, I look extra skinny. When I. sit down a little bit, you kind of look. like bobbled up a little bit. You know. what I'm saying? So, I I want to stretch. out. You know what I mean? I want to. stretch out. I want to feel good. >> Yeah. But I think you should feel good. because you're starting to look in. shape. And now you're general manager at. uh Jacksonville State. >> Yeah. >> Is that happening? That's real. Are you. still doing TV? Can you tell me more.
about this? Because if we lost you from. television, I'm very bummed out, but. excited for them. Uh, and if you're. full-time doing this, I'm excited for. Hoops as a whole. We'll miss you on. television. >> Well, well, well. Number one, I'm not. going anywhere when it comes to doing. television. >> Okay. All right. Hell yeah. >> Hell yeah. Hell yeah. >> Let me get that clear. Okay. >> Right. But I am part of the Jackson. State family. Okay. And it's not me.
being on a paid salary. No, no, no, no, no. I'm volunteering my services to pour. back and give back to the younger. generation. This is what this is all. about. This is about me giving back. You. know, this is something that I'm doing. outside of what I love to do at ESPN. So, let's clear that up. But it is. something that I'm very proud of to add. to my resume. I think overall to my.
brand. I think it's it's great not only. for me, but I think it's great for. everybody that I'm associated with. Anytime you can give back and be a a you. know role model to the youth and to the. upand cominging generation. I don't know. anybody that can frown upon that. >> No, I don't think anybody can frown upon. it. I'm excited you're spending time of. your life giving back to the game. I. hope you do well. You know, because we. saw Wes do this. >> Yeah. >> Yep. But that was a different that was a. different that's a different role. I I'm.
not going anywhere. ESPN, I'm full time. here. You Pat, you know what I'm saying? Like I told like I told my bosses, our. bosses yesterday, the only way I'm. leaving ESPN is y'all going to have to. kick me out of here. >> Well, I'm happy to hear that. >> They might if Jackson State stinks. >> Yeah, cuz what if they suck? Uh, what you mean? >> Jackson State. What if they suck? >> Not that's that's not in the plan. That's not in the plan. >> No, I don't think it's in the plan. either. I said Jacksonville State. I.
apologize. Jackson State. I That's 100%. Jackson State. >> That's 100% on me. I I've been there. Okay. I've been there. Have a good time. Uh, celebrate the hell out of it. And I. would like you to have success as well. So, you're not going to do the Wooge. role, which is fulltime because W I. think W found out it's really hard. I. think it is. >> I think it is really tough. Look, it's. not me being like part of the recruiting. process. No, I want to go in. I want to. be able to speak not only just to the. basketball program, but I want to be. able to speak to all athletes, give them.
words of encouragement. I also I'm also. going to be part of being a a a voice in. the broadcast and journalist part of it. as well. Giving them insight, help. helping them, you know, pursue their. career as being in this media space, whether that's podcasting, television, whatever it may be. So, you know what I. mean? I just want to go spread the love. and drop some knowledge, man. I just. want to give back to the community. >> All right. We like that. >> Hell yeah, per.
[applause]. >> All right. Will you drop some knowledge. on us, please, about this draft last. night? I saw you had a lot of takes this. morning, had a lot of passion. I like. that you're looking forward to the next. generation. They're talking about this. class as like maybe a historical class. with the amount of people that could. play as it sits right now. Obviously, Dabansa number one, Peterson, Boozer, all the way through Mel Brown Jr. at six. out there. Now, Tone has a question for. you. If we were to go back in time and. maybe you become GM of NBA team before. last year. >> Yeah, big perk. Speaking of you being. the GM, obviously there was a lot of.
good players in this draft. They were. talking about this draft for a long. time, but Debonsa and Peterson were kind. of the two that were above everyone else. for the majority of it. Do you think it. it went in the right direction? Would. you have have you would you have gone. one two with those guys in that. direction? >> I would have. And and look, I believe. that Darren Peterson is going to have. the best career out of all those guys. I. believe that his ceiling is is Kobe. Bryant to be honest with you. AJ Deansa,
he's going to have a hall of fame. career. I think for the Wizards, they. had to go with AJ Debansa. He's his. confidence and his fit. The Washington. Wizards are going to make the playoffs. next season with Trey Young, AJ Deansa, and Anthony Davis leading the way. They're going to make the playoffs. They're going to have an Atlanta Hawks, Toronto Raptors type season where when. we look up at the end of of the next.
season, they're going to be a top six. seed. That's number one in the Eastern. Conference. Okay, that's number one. >> Congrats to them, by the way, cuz. they've been asked, right, long time. [applause]. >> Yeah, they they have been at the bottom. They have been the Sacramento Kings of. the Eastern Conference, but things are. about to change. Okay, the things about. to change. Now, on the flip side of it, we got to give a lot of we got to give a. lot of props to Memphis. Memphis got. them one in Camboozer. I'm here to tell. you they got them one in Cam in.
Camboozer. Camboozer in any other draft. would have probably been the number one. pick. Matter of fact, he said last night. basically he I had him on the call and I. interviewed him. He said he basically. kind of felt disrespected in the way. that he wasn't considered the number one. pick. But this is a perfect match, right? This is a perfect match. This is. what the organization of the Memphis. Grizzlies, this is what they need. A.
great character guy that could. [ __ ] hoop. Let me just put it out. there. That could just that that get. straight to it. Yeah. like has the IQ, the professionalism. Obviously, it runs through his blood. because Carlos Boozer was one of those. guys, true professional, but also a. baller. Cam Boozer is going to have a. major impact, not only just on on. between the lines, but his leadership,
and that's what the Memphis Grizzlies. has been missing over the last three or. four years. a true franchise player. that's gonna be a leader as well and. embrace that franchise and that city and. take him to the heights that they're. trying to go. >> Not everybody's supposed to be in that. role, you know, not everybody was born. to be placed into that role. Maybe. that'll be the thing that kind of. uplifts the entire Grizzly squad down. there in Memphis. I remember it was. Power Raid commercial, wasn't it? >> Yeah. Uh-huh. >> That was the last time it was really the.
Memphis Grizzly story. >> Yeah. Had shoes on the way. >> Yeah. His shoes were right around the. corner and the Memphis Grizzlies were. the next team. >> and it was like, "Wow, I love this guy.". He takes off from the foul line and he. dunks on people and then everything just. kind of went sideways and everybody. started burying the city of Memphis and. it's like, "Wait a second. What Perk's. saying sounds like maybe Memphis is. back. Maybe Memphis has a chance at. becoming another storyline in the NBA. that they were just few years back. I. mean, it was literally they were the. next ones potentially." Is Jaws still. down? Is everything still there?
But he won't be there. It's time for. them to go ahead and depart ways with. that relationship as well. You start. fresh. Damn it. Cam Boozer is the new. face of that franchise. You start fresh. You start in your rebuild mode. You re. you build around him. It's no more Dylan. Brooks. It's no more Jiren Jackson Jr. is is is uh Desmond Bane is in Orlando. It's time for J to go. The problem is is.
that they can't find a place for J. Like. teams are not on uh you know picking up. the phones and and saying hey man we. ready to make a deal. Memphis has been. trying to trade John Morant since the. last trade deadline. They've been. trying. They just hadn't been. successful. >> I don't know how much of this is. breaking news. So uh please allow me to. take this as a John Moran as a pacer. would be sick. I don't know how much. they're paying him, but him as a pacer. would be awesome. That' be spectacular.
I don't know if it fits in there, but. I'm I'm intrigued to see where John. Morant goes cuz if he becomes like third. option, fourth option for a team he is. >> It's unbelievable. >> You You know what? If you if you're M if. you're the Miami Heat, you just got. Giannis. >> How about you roll the ball and take a. gamble? >> John in Miami would be awesome. >> I don't know. >> That would be awesome. Especially today, let's go buy in. Look, they they call. they call Pat Riley the GOAT for a. reason. You know what I mean? Pat. Raleigh not just in the in the office of.
the Miami Heat. Pat Raleigh keeps his. ears to the streets in Miami as well. Ain't no nothing goes on around Miami. that Pat Riley don't know about. And. when you talk about that heat culture, that heat culture is different. The. accountability level is different. UD. Udonis Hlam the cap. He's down there. born and raised from that area. Is. nothing that you could do outside of the.
heat organization. Whether you trying to. wiggle your toes in the sand, whether. you trying to go take a walk on the. beach and you ankle high in the water. Hey, listen. Nothing goes on. Whether. it's the the club or whatever, they're. going to know about it. John needs a. change of scenery. John Mar needs. structure. That structure could be the. Miami Heat with Bam out of the bio and. and Giannis out to Koopo. I don't think. he's going to be scoring 83 again, but I. do respect the fact that Giannis and Bam.
as two massive giants in the middle and. then add Jaw in there who will also. come. I mean, that's a potential triple. tower in the middle, >> you know, with take Jaw under his wing. if. >> Yeah, UD would be great. Uh Miami would. be a lot, but they've had success in the. past and they don't there's no chocolate. chip cookies on those flights. >> So we we know how locked in that is. We. know how locked in that entire situation. is. Okay, let's talk about situations in. the East, not just the Miami Heat. I'll. be I don't know how much of that was.
breaking news or if everybody already. knows that in the basketball world. I. like everything you just said though. I. like if John Morant's on the move. I. like if that's happening. I I love John. Morance basketball. I like remember he. even did. >> entertaining. remember he couldn't do the shooting for. a three anymore even though that is a. shot. Okay. Couldn't do anymore. So he. actually did a grenade just as an. answer. >> Blew up. People. >> love it. >> Mhm. >> No, no, didn't. It was It was. >> not actual. But they they reacted like. >> part of it.
>> Yeah. But yeah, >> it's just time. It's just time. And I. And I'm a John Mar fan. I just think. it's time for a change of scenery. I. don't think I know it's a time for a. change of scenery. Okay, let's talk. about some changes of scenery. potentially being forced uh in the. moment, especially coming off of that. Yiannis trade. Let's go to Boston, Connor in Boston. >> Oh, yeah. Perk. Quite the situation with. the Miami Heat in Boston kind of coming. down to the wire and then the Bucks get. it done with Miami, not Boston. Now, the. fallout of Jaylen Brown in Boston. It.
feels like Brad Stevens came out, he had. a press conference and he basically said. like, "Hey, we had very candid. conversations with Jaylen Brown. This. wasn't like out of nowhere in May after. the season they sat down and kind of. went back and forth about what was going. to transpire. Now Jaylen Brown's been in. China uh for the past 10 11 days. So who. knows where he's at? But how do you see. this going? Do you think they have to. send Jaylen Brown out? Do you think it's. strictly like Jaylen Brown's okay with.
this because of the conversations he had. with Brad Stevens behind closed doors. and everybody's reacting like there's. going to be some sort of massive. fallout? What do you think kind of the. next two weeks look for for Boston? Do. you think he's on the move for sure? Do. you think even like a Memphis for John. Morant and some other things would be. possible? What do you see happening. here? >> Well, Connor, I want to ask you, what do. you see happening? >> Huh? What do you see happening? Yeah. What you. >> This morning, Pat asked me the same. thing. I think it's 6040. I think 60% he.
stays. I don't think there's going to be. a offer on the table that helps Boston. as much. I see your reaction to the. left, so I don't know what's your. thinking. Clearly the opposite. But I. feel good about Jaylen Brown being in. Boston. If he feels good about it, but. if he doesn't want to be there, then. yeah, I think it's inevitable that he. gets moved. >> Conor, I got real love for you. You're. my friend. But let me ask you something. >> You too. >> Why should he want to be in Boston? >> Best chance. >> Why should he want to be in Boston?
>> I'm asking. >> Best chance to win a tour. >> No, no, no, no, no. They they've tried. to trade Jaylen Brown twice over the. last three years. >> and they won and they won a title after. the first time they tried to trade him. So, it's not like it completely ruined. him. >> No, no, no, no. But this time to me is. no coming back from this. >> Okay. >> Like Jaylen Brown just had the best. season of his career in the regular. season. He finished top five in the MVP. conversation and all of a sudden his.
name is throwed in another trade rumor. And if I'm Jaylen Brown, I feel. disrespected. See, Brad Stevens, let me. see say this. Brad Stevens dropped the. ball because number one, if you're going. to pursue Giannis Takoupo and you're. going to throw jump off the porch and. make Jaylen Brown available, there's no. way in hell you should lose that deal to. the Miami Heat. You got to get that deal. done because now you're to this point.
Number two, if you if you don't get if. you don't if you do lose the deal and. don't get Giannis, what is your backup. plan? >> Your backup plan couldn't say, "We're. going to sit up here and have a. uncomfortable conversation." No, it's. past that. The trust is broken. >> This is This giving me Usher vibes. >> You got to send the papers. >> Oh, man. >> I need you to sign the divorce papers, too. It's time for It's time for this. relationship to end because guess what?
It's not going to be the same come. training camp. Jaylen Brown is nowhere. in hell human nature is not going to. allow you to have the same energy. Right? And and and if you're Jason. Tatum, do you want to deal with the same. energy? If you any of th those guys in. the locker room, do you want to walk. into training camp dealing with any type. of friction or animosity knowing that. they tried to trade them not knowing.
what version or what type of attitude. you're going to get from Jaylen Brown? And rightfully so. Jaylen Brown should. want out. Brad Stevens has to find uh. something to get him to a destination. for him. I will call the Clippers. I. know the Clippers are under. investigation right now, but damn it, when it's when it's all said and done. I. will try to see how to get a Kawhi. Leonard. You have to do something. something. You got to trade them at this.
point. Everything that Connor was saying. to you, uh, he kind of had prepared and. ready because I was asking the same. questions just like it had happened. before where it was publicly known that. Jaylen Brown was trade bait or it was. offered up for a trade and they had. success then. Since then though, he's. won a title, he's become an MVP, he's. uh, obviously a much different guy. And. I said whenever we brought it to LeBron. James saying that if they were standing. on the baseline alongside the other. grades, he's picking himself and. everybody's else is picking him too. And.
then we had Carmelo Anthony on. Carmemelllo Anthony said, "I'm picking. myself, too. What are we talking about? We're not even doing any of that type of. stuff." So, I think Jaylen Brown now is. at a point where he views himself as. like Richard Jefferson said yesterday, which was awesome. I appreciate what. Richard Jefferson said. Richard. Jefferson said like, "Hey, this is. Giannis." Okay. Like Jaylen kind of has. to understand there's only like one. Giannis out here. It's a different. position. And you know, hopefully Jaylen. understands that it's a business and. inevitably something like this is going. to happen. This was to Giannis who was. saying that. But it's like we understand. that in theory that makes sense. But.
like Jaylen Brown, I don't know how he. necessarily, you know, like, hey, this. is for Giannis. He's like, yeah, I'm. [ __ ] We won more. >> I'm Yeah. Like he like that'd be very. rightful for him to feel that way, especially with how basketball players. like kind of have to feel. But if he was. to just buy in and be cool with the. Celtics again, that'd be a phenomenal. style of leadership if they were able to. Missoula was able to pull that off, which I think, right, we all. >> which Yeah. I mean, they had no business. being as good as they did last year, which is in part to Jaylen Brown, but. again, when you lose in the first round, but that is the other thing like having.
Joe Missoula and acting like Brad. Stevens and Jaylen Brown don't have a. relationship of both coach and player. cuz he drafted him, right? Perk, he was. the head coach when Jaylen Brown got. drafted there was part of his. development. So, like none of us know. what that conversation was behind closed. doors, but you would assume since it. happened once, maybe the second time. he's also okay with it. But I again I. >> well I mean Danny Danny A actually the. one that drafted Jaylen Brown. Danny A. is not there anymore. My thing is my.
thing is and I you know Richard. Jefferson is my brother. We we have a. podcast together. You know he gets on my. nerves, I get on his nerves, but we got. real love for each other. And he's. absolutely right. It is Giannis. But in. Jaylen Brown mind he's saying I'm Jaylen. Brown. We we've heard Jaylen Brown say. he feels like he's the best player in. the world and he should have that type. of confidence. So the same way we.
feeling like, hey, this is Giannis, one. of the most dominant players to ever. play the game of basketball, a top five. greatest power forward of all time. Jaylen Brown is saying, "I feel like I'm. the best player in the league right. now." He feels that way and rightfully. so. He had a career year. I believe that. he's one of the better two-way players. in the game. Again, I had him I voted. him top five in my MVP votes, but I just. don't see again time and time again.
because it's a it's a combination of a. lot of things, right? It's one that they. Yeah, Brad Stevens tried to trade him, but it's another that, you know, Jaylen. Brown has been very vocal on his live. streams. you know, uh, within 24 hours I. had it with that. >> of, you know, him blowing a 3-1 lead as. the leader, >> you know, he goes on his his live stream. and he says, "Hey, this was the best. year of my career. My favorite my.
favorite season of my career. Why Jason. Tatum sideline with the Achilles. injury?" You know what I mean? And I. still haven't seen Jason Tatum on the. live stream, Pat. That's like me and you. trying to fake it. That's like me and. you trying to fake it. Y'all want to. have a real conversation? Let's have a. real conversation. That's like me and. you trying to fake it. Okay. You I can't. sit up here and say, "Oh, yeah, man. Pat. McAfee, that's my boy." And you can't. sit up here and say, "Perk, Perk is my.
guy, and you never see me on your show.". >> Fascinating. Especially if you're in the. same locker room, same team, obviously. been around each other for a long time. Obviously, you would think what the. other would want the other to have. success to in their stream nonetheless. But maybe Tatum is just like the most I. don't want to do anything guy and maybe. Brown goes the opposite direction. But. yes, at some point you would think they. would do something together. And uh the. the comments about it being his favorite. year piss Connor off. I mean Conor. >> piss everybody off. >> Piss everybody off.
>> And when you were talking about the live. stream right there, I don't know if you. heard Connor in the middle of uh you. speaking goes, I'm about sick of that. And then you go, everybody would like to. see those stop. That's real. That that. that is how Celtics fans feel. It just. it just gets so loud like and that is. the other thing where it's like he is so. good too but that's the other part of. Giannis that was so appealing like you. don't see anything from Giannis outside. of Yeah. Outside of. >> just him and Sham's battling. >> just him and Sham's battling and that's. why like perk you just said all of it. like he might be a top five greatest. power forward of all time. Like are you.
putting Jaylen Brown in the top 10 of. two-way players all time right now? Like. that's why it feels like, hey, if you. have any sort of brain, you would. understand. And that's why maybe that. Brad Stevens conversation that none of. us are privy to was along those lines. >> All right. Well, good luck. >> And I hope I'm wrong, but I'm just. saying human nature and the prideful. individual that Jaylen Brown is. At some. point, enough is enough.
>> Yeah. Enough is enough. >> Send him to the Kings. We'll take a cuff. and some bonus. >> Okay, you want a cuff immediately. Give. us the number seven overall pick. You go. ahead and send that our way. >> You get you get this guy who's top five. player in the league. >> You You heard it. Perk voted for him. He. has a vote. People get pissed off. whenever he publicly talks about his. votes, but hey, that's part of having. votes. I think Tone understands that. from the NFL standpoint. Speaking of, you know, having a vote, there's a man. that uh had a lot of power in Michigan, won a national championship, and all of. a sudden, out of nowhere, seemingly.
boom, he's gone. He's the Mavericks head. coach. He had quite a night last night. Go ahead, Ty. >> Yeah. Perk, that was pretty startling to. all of a sudden see Dusty May sitting. there with the Mavericks contingent. while still, you know, getting really. jacked up when all of his players from. Michigan were drafted. Were you. surprised by that whole situation? And. ultimately, how do you think that's. going to work out? Because obviously. over the last several years, uh, the. colleges or coaches jumping from college. to the NBA haven't, you know, fared very. well. Obviously, Billy Donovan's been. okay, but it's not like he, you know, I.
I he you don't still consider him one of. the, you know, upper echelon coaches in. the NBA. So, how do you think Dusty May. going to the Mavericks is ultimately. going to work out? >> I actually love it. I actually love it. I you you know, I I'm I'm one of those. guys that especially when it comes to. the NBA, I get tired of seeing guys. rotate organizations rotate suits. It's. time to get new bloods in those in the.
in the locker rooms in the that's. leading the charge. I'm actually excited. about Coach May going to the Dallas. Mavericks. He's going to bring new life. I when you win a Listen, when you win a. college championship, you got to have. some type of relationship with these new. these new players of this generation. You got to be able to have a certain. type of personality along with knowing. the game and the X's and O's in order to. bring out the best in players because.
this is a new generation. So, think. about it. Mike Brown, we've been seeing. his personality all throughout these. interviews. And I understand he's 55, 56. years old, but he has like a. seem like a 35y old heart. >> Young spirit. Young spirit. Yeah, he has. a young spirit. I actually like that, Pat. And then when you look at Miss. Johnson, 39 years old, you know how hard. it is to get young guys to buy into.
being stars in their role for the better. for the for the uh uh uh best for the. best of the team. That's hard. Mark. Dagnoff for the Oklahoma City Thunder, I. believe he's 40 41. My point is saying. is get new energy in these seats. guys. have to be able to relate to this new. generation of players. I actually love. the hire. I love the draft picks that. the Mavs made. I I like all across the.
board. So, again, I'm excited to see. what he's going to do. I'm excited to. see his relationship with a Cooper flag. next year. I think they're going to be. great. I think they're going to be. athletic. I think they're going to make. some noise in the Western Conference. Again, the next person I'm looking to. get opportunity is my boy Rajan Rondo. He almost came up and got the Pelicans. job, but I feel like he needs an. opportunity as well. Look how great JJ. Reic is doing over there with the Los.
Angeles Lakers. >> and Rondo's kid. Look how great Rondo's. kid. >> Yeah, I think he's a pretty good coach. He's got an eighth grader playing. varsity and he's triple double or. whatever. Hopefully Rondo will get the. gig. I like the new blood in there. Kyrie Irving, is he not on the Mavericks. next year? Is he on the Mavericks? >> He is. He is. But I don't expect him to. be on the Mavericks come trade deadline. >> I expect somebody to go out there and. pursue Kyrie. I expect the Minnesota.
>> or Detroit Pistons to get aggressive. >> Minnesota Minnesota has no choice. Like. I look, they're going to rock with Jay. McDaniels and Nas Reed, and I'm a fan of. both of those guys, >> but if you're trying to move the needle, if you want to make up for having. arguably the worst trade in NBA history. by trading away call Anthony Towns, if. you want to stop the bleeding, meaning.
former number one picks leaving your. organization and going winning. championships elsewhere, Towns, Kevin. Garnett, Andrew Wiggins, top a lottery. picking Kevin Love. If you want to make. sure you keep Anthony Edwards, you gonna. have to bring some more firepower into. that organization in order to compete. with the Spurs and the Oklahoma City. Thunder. >> I think Connor saying Jaylen Brown. >> Yeah. Isn't that one of the teams they. think Jaylen Brown, maybe even Derek.
White would be moved to? Would be. Minnesota for some of those guys you. just mentioned. >> But here's the thing. I I I strongly. believe. Minnesota has so much belief that I. think Jaden McDaniels is untouchable at. this point. Real talk, that's that's how. much belief the organization has in Jay. McDaniels. And in order to get Jaylen. Brown, they would have to give up Jay. McDaniels. And Anthony Ed was I don't.
that's. >> that's not going to happen. >> Yeah. Well, unless the Pacers want to. get involved and get Anthony Edwards. No, they already screwed up. So, they. can't make any more. >> Yeah, but the pick, we'll do the pick. We'll do it all. We appreciate the fact. that the NBA is still cooking and I. don't know how much news you broke there. or just informed me of. There's a lot of. [ __ ] happening in the NBA. Sounds like. it's cooking. Anytime we're cooking, we're in the kitchen with who? >> Perkins. We appreciate you. >> We definitely go whipped it up. [applause and cheering]. Seems like you [laughter] did there. We'll see you. All right. Next hour, we. got Gorilla. We got Bryce Terang star.
Can't wait for it. Be a friend. Tell a. friend something nice. might change your. life. >> You know what? I think there's only one. thing left to do here. I've experienced. [music] cafesito time. I've experienced. the wonderful culture. I've experienced. the beautiful people. And I think we got. some canes over here. We got some canes over here. [laughter]. We got some canes over here.
This day in Coral Gables is going to be. one that I will remember for the rest of. my life. Ray Lewis started his dance. right here at Miami. Ed Reed started his. legendary run here at Miami. The legends of football run deep. The. moments are special. The national. championships are in abundance. Just. last year, a lovely University of Miami.
woman diver from Italy won a national. championship. This thing's been staring. at me all damn day. [laughter]. >> You're out of your mind, brother. You. crazy, Kirk. I'm a little winded. [laughter]. >> That's what I was going to say. You the. whole time you're running. I'll give you. a chance to catch your breath, son, [ __ ] You're crazy. I hope somebody got. a lifesaver over there. >> My man's out of breath. [laughter].
>> It is a long way. >> To the top. Jump in. Somebody. >> are you going to jump in there? >> Oh my god. >> Yeah. So, >> I'm tired for you. >> Oh my. >> Oh, he's going to take the jacket off. Okay. >> Okay. >> Oh. Oh, he's taking the shirt off now. All right. All right. All right. >> Looking ripped. Looking ripped. Oh, he's. taking the drawers off. >> Ladies and gents, the pants. >> Ladies and gentlemen, >> not the drawers.
>> Ladies and gentlemen, if you come to. this beautiful campus, you will notice. quickly that the students here love this. university. They love [cheering]. this atmosphere. And I'm with everybody. I think the U is. back. Give me [cheering]. >> [laughter]. >> He's got the speed on. Oh my god. >> Give me the. [screaming].
[laughter]. baby. [cheering]. >> Here he goes. >> Oh god. [laughter]. >> Here he goes. Feet together. Feet. together. I think that was for the pencil. and he's got the youth. out.
Miami and Florida tonight. >> The following program is a collection of. students talking about happenings in the. sports world. It is meant to be comedic. informative. The opinions expressed on. this show do not necessarily reflect the. beliefs of their peers, their boss, or. ESPN. There may be some cuss words. because that's how humans into the real. world talk. If you are a young, please. seek permission before watching any.
further. Hey, >> let's go. >> This show stinks and the fact that you. listen, we are very, very thankful for. >> McAfee on the line with a gorgeous. assist. >> The alltime leading tackler for the. Green Bay Packers. >> You. stutter. Damn it. >> Your friend, tell a friend something. nice could change their life.
Hello, [music] beautiful people. >> What happened? >> Welcome back to our hum. Wednesday, June 24th. 26. Hour two. starts now. >> Sports. >> are fantastic. [music] And obviously, we're in the middle of World Cup. bonanza. Six soccer games will happen. today. Six soccer games will happen. tomorrow. Six soccer games will happen. the day after tomorrow. And then the day. after that, six more soccer games. These.
are all the third games of all the. rounds happening, two at a time, six in. total each day. And we'll be seeing. magic all over the pitch all over North. America. Now, these eyes have obviously. seen every team play two times. I've. watched every minute of every game. >> Yep. >> These eyes, >> these eyes have seen a team from the. United States that are certainly. excitable. These eyes have seen a team. from the United States that are. certainly powerful. These eyes have seen. a team from the United States that might. just be the most talented bunch in the.
entire tournament. There's a chance. United States of America wins the World. Cup right here in United States of. America. And I tell you what, >> the future of world sport is going to be. a lot different if we're in charge. >> World calling it soccer. >> everywhere. >> First law. >> Mhm. >> As World Cup champs, >> it's soccer. Aren't you guys coming. around on football a little bit though? I'm not calling it football, but like. football. Yeah. >> Yeah. Because we have kind of started. falling into the footy.
>> kind of chatter. >> cuz it is kind of cheeky what to do with. it. >> Exactly. >> But all of a sudden we're now going to. make that our own. >> and just like what we did with hockey. >> Sure. >> You know, we kind of take that and make. that our own. Uh I think we did it with. I guess basketball too from what my. understanding took that from from Canada. as well. I think that's horseshit. But. that but sure. >> they said Nay Smith's a Canadian. And. I'll tell you what that was crazy. That's good news for today though. because speaking of soccer. >> that's where he invented the game of.
basketball. I thought. >> he was breathing American air whenever. he did it. >> He may be a Canadian lad but. >> on American soil. He had his toes 10. toes deep in American soil. >> Yeah. But they would say that the blood. that was running through the man that. did that was Canadian. Is that what. they're saying? >> No. He had a transfusion I believe that. year. >> Yeah. Icorus. >> Oh. He took it all out. >> Put it all back in as American. Yeah. >> Kind of baptize the blood. >> Exactly. >> Talk table boss Connor had Tai Schmidt. one half of the hammer. >> Cowboys AP tone on top of it for all of. you. We're thankful that we get to be. the ones that do this for everybody that.
watches us to trust us to talk about. sport. Uh just know this, the World. Cup's been delivering. Soccer's been. fantastic and the stars have been. showing up and showing out. Just. yesterday, Cristiano Ronaldo gets on the. board. He puts two in the back of the. net in a five nothing win for Porto. If. you do recall, Cristiano Ronaldo was the. only star in the first batch of games. not to get on the board. Actually, everybody's calling him old in the. tooth, which he certainly is. He's the. oldest player in the World Cup. And. yesterday, he notched two goals and. obviously showed us showcase Ronaldo. Now,
>> Andreas Cantor, >> who's commentator for Telmundo, who is. of Argentinian descent, but is a voice. of soccer for a lot of people. He said, uh, Cristiano Ronaldo, hell of a player. Portugal, good team. Uh, but how do you. judge quarterbacks that have never won a. Super Bowl? So, you just tell me. basically is what he said. Is the. pressure on Cristiano Ronaldo to win a. World Cup with Portugal at this stage of. his career? Is Cristiano Ronaldo going. to put the team on his back as he stands. here like this and look super cool and. take Portugal all the way to a World Cup.
gold medal cup thing? >> Yeah. >> Yeah. >> Robin, the answer is yes. >> I hope not cuz that means America would. lose and I take America every time. That's a good point. >> I'll tell you what. You know what else. I've experienced? Everybody in America, messy people. >> See, we talked about this a little bit. ago, too. Like in when I was in high. school, I was I was a diehard CR7 guy. >> So much. >> And I don't know what happened at some. maybe, you know, by osmosis, some of it.
has to do with Lou Messi as an American. now. He plays in the MLS. He's in our. backyard. that could. But I I don't know. when that change happened. I really. don't. But it has happened. >> He sells out our stadiums all the time. I think that is why America has been. like, "You know what? Actually, that. little guy, I like this little guy. >> One chose Miami, one chose Saudi.". That's kind of how it happened. >> Yeah. Cristiano has kind of done it to. himself. Like one of the things I feel. like I've learned during the World Cup. is you don't bet on a guy who's got a. witch curse on him. And.
>> that's smart. >> Cristiano Ronaldo kind of selfish. That's just how it feels from the. outside looking in. Yeah. the whole. >> he's a pure striker. That's how they. are. >> Messi is just different gravy. He does. everything the right way, you know? He. scores. He goes, I'm good. Walks it off. Like there's just no [ __ ] He just. does his thing. >> He's all ball all the time. >> There's no He's gra different gravy. You. said. >> different gravy. Yeah. Yeah. Top drawer, top bins. >> Cristiano sharing his gravy. A. >> lot of people are saying it's No, I'm. not going to do that. >> Joining us now. Thank God. Good for you,
dude. Look at us. >> We did not need to have that. conversation. >> Thank God. I'm very happy about that. Joining us now, soccer expert, uh, four-time inter mural soccer champ at. the Ohio State University. Wow. >> Where he was a college football national. champion, a Super Bowl champion, and a. Ryder Cup winner. Ladies and gentlemen, AJ Hawk is here. >> And a baby. >> Congratulations on the inter mural uh, gold medals. We appreciate the fact you. played goalie and striker at the same. time. You're all over the pitch. We. appreciate that. Soccer fever is. certainly taking over. And Ary Kane.
broke our hearts yesterday. A JHawk. >> Yeah, he did. I know. Con man is really. still uh still battling back from that, but I need to get back. So, Canada, Switzerland, we are rooting for a draw. That is what we're doing. >> Yeah, >> we want to draw. Oi, >> oi oi. >> We want to draw. >> Oi, oi, oi, >> that's what we're looking for. If you're. 21 plus and uh are. willing to pledge that you will gamble. responsibly. and not like an [ __ ]. >> Mhm.
>> Pledge. pledge that you will gamble. responsibly. >> I pledge. >> Thank you for doing that. >> To the crown. >> Wow. >> Of the draft kings of America. >> and to the bets for which they stand. >> One sports book. >> under responsibly. >> under responsibly under God. >> with responsibility and liberty for all. and justice. >> Amen. >> Amen. >> Well done. >> Okay. >> Join us Canada Switzerland draw. >> Mhm. >> Every other game seems to have a pretty. heavy favorite. every every other game.
has seemingly a pretty heavy favorite. and uh you know yesterday star studded. day before that star studded you know. this one maybe not as many big names. that are potentially playing but Canada. Switzerland feels like could be a draw. >> so that soccer has to soccer at some. point and we assume that's going to. happen Harry Kane introduced us to. soccer again a little bit yesterday. heartbreaking uh situations where he. misses goals joining us now is a man. who's been walking us through this. entire World Cup which we appreciate him. for and we got information yesterday. from the men's national team camp that.
they did hear this man stirring up some. [ __ ] with an entire continent. Ladies. and gentlemen, from CBS Sports Galazo. coverage of soccer, >> international soccer star, >> Michael Guerella. >> What's up, boys? >> Happy to be here. Good to see you, boys. What's going on? >> Hey, soccer still doing it. Everybody's. delivering. Even Ronaldo yesterday, Harry Kane though can't notch one on the. board. What do we need to think about. this English team? What do we need to. think about the teams at the top? And is.
it realistic at this stage for me to. actually believe that America is one of. the better performing teams of this. entire tournament after I feel like I've. watched everybody now a couple different. times? >> Where's Gumpy? Where's Gumpino? >> Gump. >> What's up, Griller? >> What kind of [ __ ] was that from. England yesterday? By the way, >> we [laughter] always we always tie the. second game of a major tournament. Everybody knows that. Griller. >> No, we don't. >> We [screaming] didn't know that. Neither. >> Nobody knew that. >> Multiple times yesterday. >> All of you. We were sitting there. Nobody listen. nobody listens maybe in the 87th minute.
>> Nobody listens. It's fine. >> Yeah. This is not what happened. We were. sold a bill of goods which was Harry. Kane. will get the job done. You know what I'm. seeing out of Harry Kane? Nice tan. >> Yeah. >> This the best tan this guy's ever had. I'm seeing him sitting in sweets at a. baseball game. >> He's out there taking a piss, not. worrying about what's going on on the. pitch. >> Exactly. >> Is that Ella Langley? >> Yeah. a fella. >> Who isn't? But yes, >> true. We all are. >> They kicked him out actually. >> I think he's maybe getting a little bit.
too comfortable over here in the United. States of America. >> Go home, Harry. >> But he could have been or come play in. the MLS. >> He could have been potentially cursed. Yeah, stay here, Arie. Life pretty good. here. Come play uh for the Columbus. Crew. But other than Harry getting. cursed, it feels like all the stars are. playing well. Is this uh is this. standard operating procedure? Is this. how we should view this? Should we. understand that the big names are going. to perform well every time they're. seemingly on the field? Yeah, you know, I said yesterday on our coverage, Troy. Deany, who played in the Premier League, I work with him here at CBS Sports. Colosso. He came over the other day in.
the backyard and looked amazing against. my kids. >> I think he scored a I think he scored. three or four goals. Looked great. Was. looked like he was going to make a. comeback. And that's sort of what the. first rounds are is like. >> they're playing against with all due. respect, Iraq, Usbekiststan. >> I get it. I love the story lines. It's. awesome. >> Oh, no. Don't be you started war with. Australia. I don't know if we need to be. back. >> I don't know. We need. >> at the moment. If I say the sky is blue, I'm getting in I'm getting heat for it. So So listen, it doesn't matter. But but.
uh I I'll say this too is like the. goalkeeper, this is a story line. The. goalkeeper of Cabo Verde, he had I don't. know a few thousand followers, like. 20,000 or something, and then uh he kept. a clean sheet against Spain, and now. he's got millions of followers, like. something like 14 million followers. So. I'm like, "Oh, that's pretty cool." Like. great story. Like warms the heart. I. watched him play the other day. Couldn't. catch the football. Ball's going through. his hands and [laughter] he's knocking. it into the post. I So, so it's like I. get it. But now it's like the.
appetizer's over. I'm ready for the the. knockout stage. I want to see the big. boys. I want to see some real matchups. I I'm Ronaldo scored against Usbekistan. yesterday. There's a point in the game. I got a little heat for Ronaldo take. yesterday, too. So, I might as well stay. there while I'm there. Ronaldo Pat, you. know this cuz you played the game at a. high level. Ronaldo and the second goal, right? Mendes scores the second goal. from a free kick, which is a great free. kick. The goalkeeper doesn't get it. It's against Isbekistan. Fine. Ronaldo. goes to the crowd and goes to his. teammates and starts going like this and.
starts going, "You thought I was going. to shoot it.". >> It was his idea. >> and I tricked you and I and I'm a big. part of why he was able to score the. second goal against us. >> Yeah. >> So, it's like I get it. He wants to. score goals. He wants to be part of it. He wants to win. He's a serial winner. for sure, but he is he doesn't have the. the that sort of style factor that Messi. has uh and some of these other guys. So, we'll see. He's 41 years old. Got to. take it with a grain of salt. We'll. we'll see as the tournament progresses.
I think I think uh Portugal has a better. team than Argentina, but I think the. fact that Argentina has Messi makes them. a higher up in the books, a higher up. favorite in the tournament. So, we'll. see as the tournament goes on. Still. waiting for these big matchups, though. Okay, so game threes are happening right. now. Match day three. >> Yeah, match day three. There's six games. today and then obviously 24 over the. next four days. So, you can do the math. on how many per day the same obviously. Um, but you're saying that a lot of. these teams are ass. Well, then how come. Italy didn't get in? I thought it was.
hard to get into the World Cup. How do. we got How do we got shite teams? >> Mega ass. >> Mega ass. He's saying you scored against. [laughter] us. How do they get into the. World Cup then? Italy didn't even get in. the World Cup. How How do these Is this. like the college football playoff where. James Madison gets No offense, James. Madison. >> How's this happening? How do we qualify? >> I thought we had the best teams in this. tournament as a whole. >> Every qualifying uh continent is. different, right? So, the European one. is obviously is going to be the most. difficult one because uh it's where.
football is played at the highest level. And so, they got drawn to a group, Italy. got drawn to a group with Norway. Obviously, Big Holland who plays for. Manchester City. uh their goal. difference was like plus 32. They beat. Italy in an aggregate like seven to one. or something like that. So they smoked. them. Italy then had to go through the. playoffs. They beat Northern Ireland. Then they had to go and play Bosnia away. in Bosnia. Difficult game. They lost in. penalties. So it's very possible in the. European one that you don't get through. Brazil to give you like perspective, you. know, one of the greatest teams in the. history of the World Cup. They have the.
only team in the world with five World. Cups. They had five losses in the. qualifying campaign and still were able. to make it through. you know, in the. European qualifying campaign, you could. have one loss and that might be enough. to end your your hopes at a World Cup. So, listen, Italy's got their own. problems. They definitely got to figure. it out. Um, but but yeah, it it's very. possible that you don't make it. I mean, the US not long ago few years back. didn't qualify either, right? The law is. printed today. >> Those days are long long ago. >> It's hard to get in. It's hard to get. in. That's all I'm saying.
>> It sounds like it for some people it is, but for other people they just kind of. get in there. Some people are saying. it's FIFUR. making. >> Yeah, that's what I'm saying. And these. other teams that are are being at the. end of punchlines from Grea for starting. wars with entire countries. You scored. against us. >> That's what he said basically. >> And it's like, well, Italy sitting at. home and Beck stands in a dance. I'd. like to see them maybe put up a little. bit of a fight. I can't wait to see the. knockout rounds and the uh uh loss and. go home stages mostly because America. has a real chance to win it. Go ahead, AJ. Yeah, Grover, are you trying to say.
that some of these teams may be uh. falling into like a false sense of. security? They may think they are better. than they are because the opponents they. are beating these first couple rounds. like a team like Usuzbekistan, do they. have professional soccer players on. their squad? I'm sorry for the ignorant. question. Are these guys playing like. where are they playing around the world? >> No, it's a it's a great question to be. honest and and uh some of these teams. most of the teams do have professional. footballers but not mo not most that are. like household names or that you would. know. Um, and some of them are probably. semi-pro as well for some of these.
teams, right? Like Jordan or or whoever. So, it's a it's a difficult one. They've. got good teams like the coach of. Usbekistan is Kavado who's uh who's won. the World Cup back in 2006, the Italian. and won the gold ball that year as well. So, it it it's just um you know, France. played Iraq a couple days ago. I swear. to you, they didn't get out. They didn't. sweat. They didn't get out of first. gear. They just literally cruised. through the match. So, I don't know if. people like the new format or don't like. the new format, but there is a lot of.
teams. There's probably like. >> 15 teams that don't really belong there. They've gone there for like purely a. participation award and the story lines. and everything else. So, >> we're we're starting to move now towards. the the bigger rounds and the more. exciting rounds and and I saw you guys. had Tyler Adams on the other day um by. the way. So, he was an ex- roommate of. mine, ex- teammate of mine, and I got a. he's a great kid. But why can't, like I. said yesterday, why can't the US, >> that's what I'm talking about, >> do something like everyone's like, "Yeah, but it's not possible." No, but I. think it is possible because their.
bracket is is actually really favorable, >> their route to the semi-final and then. you've got two games that you've got to. win. And they're actually better without. the ball than they are with the ball. So, if they're playing a better team. that's going to have a lot of possession. and they go hunt that thing, they have. to do with a little more balance, obviously. But, if they go hunt that. thing, win the ball high up the field. and then go one, two passes and try to. create something. You never know. So, we'll see. But Tyler Adams, I love him. >> He's a great guy. I mean, when I first. met him, Pat, he was. >> he was 15 years old. Jesse Marsh, who's.
the coach of Canada now, brought him in. I'm 12 or 13 years older than him. And I. looked at him, I just thought like, who's this guy? Like, like, where's he. going? He was 15, scrawny, and Jesse. goes, "Oh, he's going to train with us. this week. He's a he's a he's a good. kid, you know, whatever." So, uh, we had. a, you know, a couple bullies in the. locker room, couple leadership guys, and. one of them in particular, I won't name. him, he's like always on his ass, always. on Tyler's ass, always bullying him. Hey, your haircut's this, you're this, you're that. So, one day after a video.
meeting, Tyler kicked his ass. He's like. 15, 16 years old, and he kicked his ass. and put him in a troll cold. And then I. was like, whoa. I was like, "This kid's. got some like this kid's got something. about him." I'm like, stand up to like. one of the main guys on the team and. then actually physically kick his ass. I. was like, "Wow." I was like, "This kid's. going to be legit." And obviously, he is. very legit. I'm a big fan of Tyler. And. uh I hope he can lead this team to do. something special. I really think I. really think they can. >> I love that he beat somebody's ass as a. 15-year-old. >> Tony Mola. >> It was not Tony Miola. It was not Jeff.
>> Tony's across the hall. Tony's across. the hall, by the way. And he is an. absolute bear. You're not beating Tony. Mu up. No one is. >> No one is. Father time tried but they. they tried to get him tried to get him. early and Tony Mola said I don't think. so pal Miola legend. >> he's alive and well man he's one of the. best guys in the world he's well he's. alive and well he's across the hallway. right now. >> actually but you go back to the 94 World. Cup or whatever the case is like Tony. Miola became one of the stars of United. States of America and global power you. know like that is what soccer does.
everybody's more interested around the. globe and America becoming great at it. is great news for us now there's. obviously a powerhouse playing today go. ahead con man your wiping tears off. >> I'm [laughter] sorry. Just the just the. entire vision of it. But uh yeah, Grella. Scotland, the Totten Army, they're. taking on Brazil. Do they have a chance? Thank you for the very out on a limb. minus 500 parlay you gave us. But. [laughter]. we're a little ridiculous. >> Brazil advances with a winner. >> But does Scotland Yeah. Does Scotland.
have a chance today or is Brazil going. balls to the wall because they need to. win? >> Brazil don't look good. Uh I thought. they would look good. Their coach is. Carlo Angelotti. He's the most winning. coach in the Champions League football. Some would say he's the greatest coach. of all time. Obviously Italian. Used to. coach AC Milan, Real Madrid. That's. where you would have seen him. He's. awesome. Smokes cigars, hangs out with. the boys. He's one of the best. But he. hasn't made them look that good. I. haven't been impressed with Brazil at. all. They're very individual still. They. can't defend well. On the flip side, I. thought with Scotland, they've got a. good spine down their team. They got uh.
Robertson. They got McTominay who also. plays in Italy. He was MVP last season. Mick Tomminy. We love that guy. >> He's a He's a beast. And And then. they've got McIn up there, too. But I'm. also not impressed with them. But like. this game's closer than the odds say. Like the draw actually looks like really. good odds on that graphic right now. So. we'll see. But the Scottish fans have. been the talk of the tournament, man. They've been uh out drinking. They've. been drinking bars dry. Um they drank. more three times more than St. Patty's. Day up in Boston, uh one of the bars.
said. So they're on fire, man. The vibes. are alltime highs for the tartan army. >> Yeah, Scotland's on fire. Chance are happening. >> They had to bring a Miller Light uh. barge to the beach in Miami because they. were worried about running out of booze. >> Well, we appreciate us uh kind of. getting the job done for these Scots who. want to kind of get hammered everywhere. they go and celebrate what we got going. on. I' I've loved that with the World.
Cup coming to America. a lot of these. people coming to America for the first. time, experiencing it. Obviously, the. Scotland uh Boston relationship is only. going to grow. I think they're obviously. going to have some sort of partnership. Uh Craft is now saying he wants to take. the Patriots over to Scotland. It's all. from this World Cup. You guys in the. soccer world talking about it? What is. kind of your chatter? This has been an. incredible World Cup for the state of. soccer. Is that how you guys view it? Like how have the super soccer marks. kind of viewed what's been happening. here in the World Cup in the United. States? >> I got to tell you something. And there. was a lot of people, I think, almost.
hopeful that this thing would be a. disaster, that the stadiums wouldn't be. ready, that the grass was not going to. be great, that the ticket prices, all. these different things. It's been pretty. good. I mean, and it's it's delivered in. a big way so far. Uh, I think the story. lines, like I said earlier, they're. really good. I think the competition is. getting there. We'll see it as as the. round of 32 kicks off. We'll see it a. little bit better. I mean, you go onto. your feed, you see, you know, Mexicans. kissing Koreans at outside the stadium. It's just the like bringing just. bringing those sort of combinations. together you just wouldn't see I think.
in on a regular day. So, >> um there's something magical about it, you know. I get home and the kids are. just watching. It's on all day. There's. action. We got uh got degenerates in the. building here as well gambling on it all. day. I fake money cuz it's against. company policy. But, uh it's there's. action. There's there's action in the. air. There's magic in the air. And uh. it's it's just a it's just one of the. best tournaments that the that the world. gets to see every four years. >> Certainly. And we're lucky to be. covering it. We're thankful that you've.
been stopping by making us feel smarter. and look smarter in it all. How do you. feel about Canada, Switzerland today? Big time draw. Big time draw. >> I I play for Jesse. I play for uh the. Canadian coach. And a lot of Americans. not happy with him because. >> he's a dick. >> He thought he was going to get the US. job. He goes to Canada instead. Like a. little bit of like a a move on purpose. And then he sings the Canadian national. anthem like it's like like his great. great great-grandfather was the Canadian. president at at one point. So I think a. lot rubs a lot of people the wrong way.
>> But he's a good guy. He's a charismatic. guy. He's a good manager and he plays. rock and roll football. He steps on the. gas, man. He doesn't care about tactics. He'll go and press the thing. He'll go. and. >> he'll go that's why he thought he should. probably have the US job because we have. an athletic team. So but uh he'll go and. press the football today. He's going to. go and and run all over Switzerland. And. I think Switzerland have also a lot of. quality. So I think highscoring game and. I think draw. I like the draw in that. game. >> Okay. >> Okay. >> High scoring draw. Five. >> Say rock and roll football. Scared me a. little. >> Yeah, me too. That sound like Canada was.
going to ride especially with. >> like two two like two high scoring. >> Okay. We like that. We'll ride with. every single one. Boosted to plus 300. If you're 21 plus and want to pledge. that you'll gamble responsibly. >> Yeah. >> Ride with us today. All right girl. We. appreciate the hell out of you, man. Have an incredible run. This has been. great. I think you've been doing a great. job covering soccer. I think Soccer. World's been showing up in a big way. I. like I like Zlatan and Tierry and Alexi. Lawless's relationship kind of growing. >> Wish they'd get off Alexis's back a. little bit for Christ's sake. [laughter].
>> Everybody. >> there there is a little bully job going. on there. So, uh we'll see. I I've. gotten the chance to work with all three. of them. They're all great. >> I'll tell you though, like Alexi Lawless. has been a constant for soccer. >> long time. >> Whole life. >> Whole life. >> Legit. I think every time people do, oh, Lexi is still doing it. And then it. moved like to a different network and. it's like, >> well, Lexi still, >> it's like almost like he has been like. soccer for a lot of people. So, Loton.
and Tierry Enri show up and these guys. are top 10 soccer players in the history. of Earth. You know, >> this guy doesn't know [ __ ] Don't listen. to him. >> It's like, well, we've been listening to. him. >> Yeah. What do you mean? >> 30 years, bro. This is our guy. Can we. [ __ ] maybe have a little respect for. Alexi Laws up there? And then you start. looking around. Nobody. Nobody. >> Yeah. I'm okay with Tierry and and. Zlottton [ __ ] on him. I mean, that's. that's a different thing when you got. everybody else saying, "This guy don't. know [ __ ] [ __ ] Alexi." The thing I'll. say is that's where I draw the line. >> The thing I'll say is this and and it's. probably why I even have a job right now. is like perspective is important, right?
So, like, you know, I've played at some. of the highest level games. I was. playing some of the lowest level games. So, I think I can get pretty good. perspective. So, look at it this way. When you're watching Fox, you you know, you're seeing Terry Enri was one of the. greatest players of all time and and. Zlatan Bhimovic. You're seeing their. perspective which is like the creme de. la creme like the best that it gets. And. then you're seeing Loises. That's like. uh he was at Milan. >> What are you trying to say? [laughter]. >> I think a half a day. I think he was at. Milan for like a couple hours once. >> You calling him Australia? [laughter]. >> I don't like I I I want no beef. I need.
a week off from the beef to be honest. But I think they're all great. >> You're the I think they're all great. Everything has been great. Soccer has. been awesome. You're the best. Ladies. [clears throat] and gentlemen, from CBS. Sports, Galazo, Michael Carell. Do you. boys think. >> love it? >> Usbekistsan, Iraq. >> He wasn't wrong. >> He has no respect for any of those. teams. >> I'm sorry. You're celebrating somebody. else's goal like it was your goal. against [ __ ] Usbekistan. That's what. that's what Gerilla just said. That's. what Gerilla just said. Pat, you know.
how he set that up. Pat, you played. this. You understand what this is? This. guy was taking credit for somebody. else's goal against you, Usuzbekistan. >> Think about that. Wow. >> He did do that. >> He did do that. >> Well, that's like probably did to. himself, >> but I think he was letting people know. like, "Hey, I'm I'm back." Yeah, I he. said it twice. >> What's Llatin said? Like, I I was. unaware. He went somewhere, >> so I don't know how he can be back, but. okay, I guess he's back. >> They don't get along. >> That's a pretty good point. Pretty. >> slaton and Cristiano Ronaldo did not get. along. >> I feel like they get along very well.
>> I'll tell you what, I've enjoyed. learning about a lot of history of a lot. of people quickly. I mean, watching the. high school highlights of of Messi, it. was startling. Sick. And then Bop, I'm. learning a lot about him. Hey, a guy can. score goals. >> Yeah, >> I guess he he. >> Bappy's a dog. >> He is a dog. >> He's a bit of a dog. >> High drama. Real Madrid all season long. >> That's what Gumpy's been trying to force. us into believing because obviously uh. he is very pro Messi at all times. But. he's saying them bops got drama.
>> That's what goal scorers do. >> What kind of drama? What do you mean? What's he mean? >> There was a there was a rift in the. team. There's a like split in the squad. Basically, two coaches got fired. It was. uh he went on a vacation when he said he. was hurt. Uh they call him the dictator. actually. >> All right. So, this is a Messi fan. obviously having a microphone trying to. continue a a narrative potentially about. him bop that we don't know about. But. what I do know is he had a left boot. that was an absolutely cracker. >> Unbelievable. >> Exactly. >> Great player. No doubt. Top player. Top. top bins.
>> Absolutely. Just like America has. tomorrow as we take on Turkey. Yay. >> Turkey. >> Yep. Turkai. >> That works well. >> Oh, Turkay, >> right? >> Turk Turk. Yeah, I've heard it. pronounced both ways. >> Hey, we're showing a lot of respect to. everybody, I think, with the name. plates. >> Rumor has it they actually might make. them change it back because they weren't. hammered dog [ __ ] when they were just. Turkey and then how all a sudden they're. Turkey and they stink. >> and they fired a coach already. >> Yeah. Mhm. And a lot of people were. picking them to win the group before, you know, started. >> tournament.
>> Yeah. And they just just not a quality. side. So maybe Turkay not the right. move. >> No, >> maybe let's go back to Turkey. >> Yeah, >> that that's what I would say, but I'm. not Turkey. >> Okay, let's talk a little football. American football, shall we? Uh, congrats Kyle Pittz. Three years. >> Wow. Give it a call. >> $54 million contract includes 36 million. guaranteed. Three years, 36 million. guaranteed. Do the math. 12 million a. year guaranteed to him. Now, what's the. signing bonus? We shall learn over time. How much is it a hit against the salary.
cap? We shall find out. But congrats to. Kyle Pittz. You know, obviously at the. beginning with Art as the head coach and. offense coordinator, we didn't 100% know. what it was going to be like for this. guy who was projected to be maybe the. next one at the tight end position. We. knew he was a Sunday player whenever he. was playing on Saturdays. It was very. obvious from the body type and. everything that he was able to. accomplish. Goes to Atlanta. A little. bit of turmoil, a little bit of. turnover. Goes into this guy who's now. getting paid the most ever. from a tight end.
>> Ah, kidd. third most ever. >> Yeah. Mhm. >> That's crazy. Resetting the market of. the tight end position. >> Yeah. >> Okay. So, 12 million a year guaranteed. for a guy. 36 total over three years. >> at the tight end position. Tight end. university. Every year they they they. gather. >> They do. >> They all all these tight ends. They. gather. >> They have a great time. It looks like. >> a great time. >> Looks awesome. >> We should Did we know Dana Shay were. going to be performing as well? >> Did not. >> Did we know Dana Shay were also going to. be performing? I think Luke Holmes was. there as well. >> What? He was at tight ends and friends.
>> Yes. Taylor Swift, obviously. >> Yep. >> Laney and Duck were there. I know that. >> M. Jones is put on a show, >> man. >> Yes, he was. >> Gillis. >> Yes, he was. Shane is there. >> Yeah. >> Shane looks trim. >> Bill and Taylor. >> Shane looks unbelievable. And I assume. he absolutely killed it. Will and Taylor. obviously. I mean, it was. >> it maybe we should have been going to. that. >> I don't think we were invited. >> We were invited. I believe I believe we. were invited. Everybody was invited. We.
got the fever right now. Maybe. >> you might have invited invited other. bigle boys. >> No, I think they invited the program. They did. They've been very open with. all of that because I think they do want. to showcase what they're doing for a. position. On that note, the business. side of the position is something that. they originally were trying to talk. about at tight end university six years. ago when everyone was coming together. because they're a wide receiver and. they're a left tackle. Those two have. such a higher cap on both of them. How. do you kind of judge what it is? He gets. paid massively and I'm happy that he's. getting a chance to uh kind of continue. to prove that he is exactly what we.
thought he was going to be in college. AJ, >> yeah, I think of Kyle Pittz like he is a. matchup nightmare no matter like he's. when you think of going into a game with. him. All right, who do we match up with. him if he's split out in the slot or do. you trust the linebacker on him? Do you. want a safety on him? It doesn't matter. Like he's so physically gifted. Yeah, I. think with uh you're right, he has had. some like he hasn't had any like. stability really at quarterback, has he? In his time there. I feel like it's. always been up in the air. stability at. quarterback, at coach, at uh. >> I wonder if they've changed even the. parking spots every single year.
Probably I assume they have to really. confuse everybody. Yeah, >> they have to reassign all of that. >> He's only 25, too. Like. >> geez. >> And everything we've seen with tight. ends, they are. >> they did a uh a really cool social media. video, which a lot of those are. happening coming out of Tight End. University. So many cool social media. videos. >> It was all the tight ends getting off a. bus. They all look the exact same. >> Yeah. >> They all had the exact same build, the. exact same head, the exact same body, and it's just big, very athletic, and.
very tough. That is That is. >> So 25, >> that's like 35. Like the the body types. and the humans that become NFL tight. ends, I think, are super species of. ours. I I I think they're some of our. super species. I I I genuinely believe. that. He's been talked about as that. since college. I assume in high school, he was also getting talked about like. that. We didn't we weren't a part of. that at that time. So just the thought. of Atlanta saying, "Hey, even though. you're with previous regime, previous. not great outcome, we'd like to keep you.
here because anytime there's new people. in charge, there's a lack of loyalty to. the people that were there before." This. seemingly not the case with him. Congrats, Kyle Pittz. Now, let's talk. about loyalty. Is San Francisco going to. move a practice facility? >> Why would they do that, Pat? >> Well, from my understanding, from what I. read, they are looking to expand and to. have more space in there. isn't as much. space here. >> That's why. >> they had an independent uh scientist. science company come in and investigate. the electro substation. >> theory that a lot of people have had uh.
buzzing words about. >> as injuries seemingly were taking place. be in the electric magnetic substation. is sitting right there next to it. Is. that a part of the injuries? What. happened to all the trees around the. electric substation? Is there something. that could potentially be uh all right? The 49ers are just looking for other. options for their practice facility. They have more space. The independent. science from my reading said that there. is no there is no correlation between. the electric and the.
>> they're lying. >> That's I'm just telling you that's what. the third party independent science. people did coming out of San Francisco. because John Lynch said former player. we'll look into it. We will definitely. look into it. He hired I believe third. party science company to look into it. They came out and said that there is. nothing to it. They are just looking for. more space. AJ, that's what they're. saying now. >> Okay. >> If there's more space on top of another. electric sub thing, will they do it? >> That's the question. >> I think no, cuz I think they told the. Niners the truth. Like, hey, this is.
killing your players. But we can't let. that out into public because then. there'll be so many lawsuits around. everyone living around all these. substations. So, we're going to say that. it's no no issue at all, but you guys. should definitely move your practice. >> Allegedly, possibly. >> allegedly, possibly a thing. a thing. that maybe happened in a movie that you. were living in in. >> big time movie. >> Yeah, it's certainly a movie possibility. that you were talking about there, but. that that is not what they said. The. independent party did the research said. no correlation. >> Yeah. >> So why move it? >> Jurassic Park. >> because they want more space.
>> Oh, they're sick of answering questions. about it. That's part of it. I I would. guess too the players, coaches, GM, everybody doesn't want to continue to. ask question or answer questions. And if. it's no stone left unturned, if there. was an abnormality with your building. versus everybody else's building, I. think you would want to fix that, but. you would certainly want more room and. space too if you didn't really have. that. Shout out to Grella joining us. talking about World Cup fever. Let's. stay in football. Buffalo Bills new. stadium. Incredible. >> Yeah, very well done. Poula and the Buffalo Bills ownership uh.
cut the ribbon on the new stadium. And. as they zoomed out in the drone, you. really wondered, are they going to be. able to get it right? Are they going to. be able to get it right? Yes. Standard. UFO design of the modern uh stadiums, but as you see, there is an opening in. the middle. A lot of coverage for fans. if there was to be a massive snowstorm, but we're not going to get rid of the. vibe and environment of a snow game in. Buffalo. Need to have that throughout. the history of ball. Just right across. the street from the Ralph sits the new.
High Mark Stadium. And uh with what they. did with the Bison out front, the way. this looks, the way they've unveiled it, the way it's rolled out. I love what. they did up there. I can't wait to see. if the Buffalo Bills can win them a. Super Bowl for this new stadium. I can't. wait to see if Josh Allen's able to get. the job done. And you see one of them. bison out front actually wearing a brand. new ring around it today. That would be. obviously the goal. That would be the. dream. Those fans showed up in a big way. for this team for a long time. And uh I. love that they're getting rewarded for. it, AJ. And that place looks. spectacular.
>> Yeah, it does look it looks amazing. Like you It's funny you say like. standard spaceship type building. It's. true. Like you think of what Arizona. that's standard spaceship. Even the new. newest Soldier Field has a bit of a. spaceship type. Are they trying to tell. us something? Is this some weird kind of. [snorts] thing going on with everything. else surrounding, you know, what's going. on in the world? >> Allegiance Stadium is certainly a UFO. I. mean there is a lot of those futuristic. type I think soi you could say was. design from the future. It's like modern. technology modern engineering modern.
structure maybe modern science tells us. that this is the best way to build one. where you can maximize whatever the hell. you're trying to maximize in there. Sound nowadays Wi-Fi. >> Yes. >> Need comfort in there. Need hospitality. Need to be able to serve food to people. Need to be able to get in and out of. there. but obviously also needed to be. loud. I enjoyed hearing uh Tyler Adams, member of the US Ben's national team, say that the Seattle Seahawk Stadium was. the loudest he's ever been a part of. It's like, well, they built that place. >> Yes, they did.
>> To be loud. I assume Buffalo did the. same with the I think these these hanger. overage things are going to be really, really loud. And that's by design. >> Yeah, I know they did that for design. for noise as well as when it does snow. that it'll keep a lot of the fans. protected from snow. Then also the wind. And I know they designed it to like when. what was that a few years ago when it. was 80 mph winds. It was them and the. Patriots and they couldn't there was. just no way anyone could score at all. I. think it was three nothing maybe. Patriots won. Um but yeah I know it was.
designed for the noise the snow to cover. the fans and then the the wind to. protect the wind so that they can. actually play actual football without. doing a indoor stadium. >> and the bison intimidating everybody. >> They're gonna have lights on that with. smoke coming out the nose. >> Be cool. >> And they need. >> spooky. I don't They don't need to win. one obviously. >> Yeah, they do. They do. >> They absolutely do. T Andreas Canour. yesterday absolutely need to get one. >> Yeah. >> You tell me. Quarterback never win Super Bowl. He's. the greatest.
>> Did it go? I don't know. >> I don't know. You You You guys do it. >> You know better than me. I don't know. >> What an answer. I don't know. Hey, Messi's got one if you're wondering. >> That was basically what he said. Josh. Allen is going to be judge about that. forever. >> Oh yeah. >> Oh no. >> Oh, you're in a Patrick Mahomes era. That's cool. How many did he win? Oh, sweet. What' you you. >> Oh, you guys got to. >> or at least I mean you have you have to. win one, but they at least got to get to. one. >> And Bean knows that, too. >> Yeah. I mean, now they moved on from. McDermott. Obviously got a new head. coach and Joe Brady. He's obviously. offensive coordinator, offensive guru,
offensive whiz kid, potentially a head. coach in the NFL when he was like 32. That was years ago. Now he's getting. opportunity to be the head coach. Feels. like Bean and him are on the same page. They got a brand new stadium. Hold the. phone. Is it the Buffalo Bills time or. are they still in the New England. Patriots division and all of a sudden. the big bad wolf up there in Foxboro has. a squad again? >> They are now. You know, they had their. window. They had their chance. They had. their home AFC title games that they. blew and lost and they had their away. AFC title games that they blew and lost. Both of which New England Patriots have. gotten done. But you just said it there.
like you just need to win one. Look at. the guys during the Brady era. Flaco, Big Ben, Breeze, Payton, like they all. at least got one. And think about how. differently you view them than like. Philip Rivers. >> that never got one and was basically. chasing that the entire time. Seriously, >> that's a heartbreaker cuz we love Phil. Rivers. But that's real though. That. that is a very real thing. And Josh. knows that he's got another 20 years. left, too. Big farmer bodies taking care. of himself. Obviously, you would hope. that at some point he'd be able to get.
it, but you never know. >> No, Burrow is in the same exact. conversation. >> Even Breeze getting one during that time. frame was huge for him. Like you you got. to get one. >> Good luck everybody. Joe, Lamar, Josh, Daniel Jones. >> Well, Lamar's got. >> Drake. >> Lamar's never won one. >> All right, >> Tony. >> Tony, >> he's been to been to one, right? Speaking of guys who blew home AFC title. chances. >> What's everybody's problem right now? What do we positive thing? >> Hey, come on. It's June 24th. I just.
want to watch more soccer. >> Yeah. [laughter]. World Cup Bonanza also happening June. 24th. The magic of the summer is. obviously baseball. MLB is happening and. we're right around the corner from uh. MLB All-Star break. Now, what is the. All-Star break? Well, it's a home run. derby on Monday. >> and it's a red carpet on Tuesday. >> It's a Allstar game on Tuesday night. >> and then the Esp is the next day. >> Why? >> So, you're talking about like a hell of. a week, hell of a spectacle. And ladies. and gentlemen, a man that should be a. part of all of it. Second baseman from.
the Milwaukee Brewers. a man who was on. team USA. We appreciate the hell out of. him. He once won a platinum glove. You. know what that means, AJ? Do you know. what that means? >> What is it? Tell me. Can you tell me. about it? >> So, I guess there's a gold glove like. Keem. Like every position has a gold. glover. Like, hey, this guy. unbelievable. Second baseman, third. baseman, shortstop, first baseman. Everybody gets gold glove that you are. the one playing defense. That's the best. And then out of all the. positions, >> one person gets platinum.
This [ __ ] did it. Ladies and. gentlemen, Bryce Terra. >> Hey, what's up, guys? >> Is that an accurate description? >> Is that an accurate descriptor of the. platinum glove? I just wanted to make. sure everybody understood the importance. and the levels to this [ __ ]. >> Yeah. Um, they pick a winner from the. gold gloves to win the platinum. >> Yes. Correct. >> Are we going to do that again? Are we. getting another platinum? Obviously, you. have one in the office at the moment.
How do we feel about this year's uh. defense? How do we feel about the. Brewers? And how do we feel heading into. the All-Star break here uh just a couple. weeks away? >> Oh, we feel great. Um you know, with. some of our starting pitchers um. striking out the world, it's kind of. it's kind of hard to get some some good. defensive numbers, not getting very much. opportunities, but um man, we feel good. It's been it's been a great time. This. season's been fun. We got a lot of young. guys who are competing and wanting to.
win and uh yeah, we just got to keep it. going. >> Tony, tell me about coming out of the. World Baseball Classic. Obviously, you're on Team USA. The boys got a. chance to watch you guys take uh Fungo. >> Fungo infield and they said it was the. greatest thing they've ever seen. Now, I. obviously was not able to see it because. I was inside speaking about the. potentials of a lockout and how this. whole thing is going to go with uh upper. management of MLB, which I was grateful. for the information. Kind of scared me a. little bit, but I heard I missed a. [ __ ] show. I heard I I missed an.
absolute show at the World Baseball. Classic. How much are you guys sharing. info? How much are you chitchatting. about? How much are you learning? And. how do you think that kind of uh either. propelled you into the season or maybe. had an interesting start to the season. for you? a lot. I mean, for me it was just. learning guys routines and how they go. about their business. You know, what. makes these guys so great. Um, I mean, having conversation with some of the. best players in the world. Um, and just. figuring out what makes them go, what.
makes them do their stuff. Um, and. majority of it was preparing for the. game. I mean, I can sit there and watch. watch these guys prepare for the game. and learn. Um, there's always something. new to learn all the time. And the I. mean those guys were so great to me. Any. question I had, they they answered it. And um but yeah, I mean for sure the I. think for me the most was the. preparation for the game that these guys. took and um what it takes to be the best. in the world. Um was cool to see.
>> Okay, quick question. When I before the. boys have their questions for you, Bryce, we appreciate you taking your. time. You know, when I'm when I'm. feeling a little bit here, >> I you know, I watch a video where I need. to maybe let that thing hit off of this. palm and then it hits off of this palm. and then I'm back here real quick. I. believe it's like a little show bang a. bum bang and I'm I'm I'm timing that. thing, you know? I'm getting out there. What do I need to think if I want to be. a Platinum Glove member one time? We. don't know yet. >> Okay. I got I'm on a lot of science. I. don't know how the testing is. I've. heard about your testing in the past,
>> but I don't know what your testing is. right now. But let's say I wanted or I. was a little child, maybe a high. schooler. What's the number one thing I. need to think about? Is it my feet? Is. it my hands? Is it my k? What what do. you think is the number one thing to. playing defense in baseball and becoming. a potential platinum glover? >> Yeah, 100% your feet. Uh your your. footwork is is what makes you look good. It's what makes you look smooth and gets. you in the right position to to feel the. ball. And then you you worry about that. stuff later. And then um making the. throw. I mean, the accuracy is a big.
part of it. We always say you can make a. a million-dollar play in a 10-cent. throw. So, um, no matter how nice a play. you make, you got to throw you got to. put a good throw on it or else he's. going to be safe. So, it doesn't count. anyways. Um, but definitely your. footwork and then, um, you know, that. that stuff gets you in the right. position to make a good good play. >> Golly, so many games. I'm thinking about. my boy, my baby boy Midas. You know, he. might have some good feet. He might have. good hands. And I'm just thinking about.
spending all summer out there. >> I mean, I'm getting tomatoed. Think. about how red I'm going to get out. there. I'm going have to roll up the. sleeves, do the entire thing, and I'm. going have to tell him, "Hey, you got to. get your [ __ ] feet." Loose and brass. terrain platinum glove holder said, "You. got to [ __ ] do this thing." And then, "Hey, million dollar play, 10 set throw. Get your [ __ ] ass into the bullpen. there, Paul." Yeah, I'm uh I love your. guys' sport. I do. But the athleticism. in the infield, especially trying to. turn a play, is spectacular to watch. And uh massive respect for the web gems. happening all over the place. AJ has a. question for you. Bryce.
>> Yeah. Bryce, you talked about the the. prep from like all the the greatest. players that you were around at the. World Baseball Classic. Is there. anything that you have like implemented. into your pregame routine or during the. game that you learned from some of these. greats at the World Baseball Classic? >> Yeah. I mean, just the the reps that. they take. I mean, every single one is. like there's they're not just out there. just doing it. It's every single rep is. to get better and uh every swing they. take is for a reason and um every drill. they do is for a reason. And for me I I.
mean I I was a guy who worked out after. the games and then I went to the WBC and. I was talking to some of the guys and. they're like um do a little bit every. day before the game kind of put it part. of your activation. And so I started. doing that. So I started picking up on. that and then just seeing how each each. individual rep matters. So much more. than taking so many. >> You hear that glove pop there a little. bit, huh, Bryce? >> Mhm. >> Yeah, I do. [laughter].
>> That's a million dollar throw. [clears throat] right there. >> Yeah, that's right. >> I can't taint the net. Throw into the. net. Throw in the middle of the net. >> What are you talking about? I found my I. found my. >> You got it. >> I found my You found your arm. Arm slot. >> Found my arm slot. >> Erisly. Yeah, >> there you go. >> Bryce, I was trying to do this one here, you know, and I was trying to do this. one here. I couldn't throw a strike. And. then I realized I take that thing a. little bit down to like 3:00. about 3:00 guy. >> right there. Yeah. >> Yeah. I I saw I saw the at bats that you. uh you had against Kershaw.
>> and. >> Hey. Yeah. I I see it. I see it. It's. there. [laughter]. >> Boom. >> Okay. I'm happy to hear that cuz I think. I hit it so poorly to the left that. >> second base shorts up stumble. >> infield single for sure. >> and I make it on base. I'm stealing. obviously cuz Clayton's doing the full. [ __ ]. >> Yeah. >> And I already he already got that one. figured out. You know, he did hit me. with a curve and that was certainly. something. It was a uh. >> it was certainly a fascinating thing to.
learn about baseball and what it looks. like coming through cuz Kershaw. obviously at end he retired. He. literally was retired. >> And just seeing the amount of movement. on that ball, it's like, holy hell, you. don't really feel it until you're in. there and understand it. So much respect. for what you guys do. Actually, >> how long the season is is crazy to me. I. don't know why we're doing that, but I. respect it. I like that we're doing all. that. And it feels like there's a player. on your team that is doing something. that's defying all odds due to how long. a season is in the position that he is.
Go ahead, Tom. Yeah, Bryce, you you. talked about earlier about your guys, your pitchers striking guys out, so not. uh not a lot of plays to be made behind. them. Uh specifically, Miz uh Miz Rasky, who came on the scene, we talked to him. last year at the All-Star game. Some. people were pissed he was at the. All-Star game cuz he only had like five. starts. Uh those people were wrong. Uh. cuz now he's got a full season under his. belt and he's throwing 105 every single. pitch and striking everyone out. How. crazy is it what he's doing uh on the. mound? And seriously, like how hard is. it to I don't want to stay focused, but.
say not get Yeah. engaged behind him cuz. you know it's rare that someone's going. to be putting one in play. >> Dude, it's it's honestly impressive to. watch. I mean, you you see I mean I I've. seen it from behind second base um for a. while now. I've even faced him one time. >> Um yeah, it's impressive. I mean, that. fast ball gets on you quick. um not much. time to really react there. But um yeah, just stay locked into those games. Um.
when he's pitching, you got to really. tell yourself like, hey, at any given. time a ball can be hit. So just [snorts]. staying Yeah. trying your best to stay. locked in. I mean, it's dude, it's fun. watching him pitch, especially from. behind him. Seeing seeing that fast ball. is it's electric for sure. And kids. throwing gas. >> Yeah. So let's talk about the gas that. he's throwing and where you're standing. And obviously you can get caught. understanding that they're never going. to be able to hit this guy, but that's. coming to you faster than ever, right? If the ball is getting pitched faster.
than ever, then in theory, right, that. ball is potentially coming to you guys. faster than ever. Is that an accurate. depiction of that? And in your position, what is the fear face? Like what is the. for you guys? You're standing very close. to to very hard balls traveling very. fast. And if a guy's pitching 105 miles. an hour, I assume it's coming off the. bat. Not that it is often, but it's. coming off fast. If they do, >> is that worry for infield? Like, how do. you is that something that we need to. watch more? How often is that something. you're thinking about?
>> There's definitely certain guys that. step up to the plate that you're like, "This guy could hit a bowl at me at 120. miles an hour." And at that point, you're just reacting. You're just trying. to put a glove on it. Um, you know, but. I would I would say for me, not. necessarily cuz I'm a little bit deeper, but like when a first baseman's holding. a runner on and they got a left-handed. hitter who can hit the ball hard and. they're kind of stand they're. just hoping that they don't get a ball. hit down their throat. So, [laughter].
um, that's. >> Yeah, I can see that. >> That's a that's a reaction that's. definitely a reaction thing for those. guys. I got a little more time, you. know, I'm a little further back, but um. some of those first basemans or third. basemans who are playing in and you got. uh you got guys like O'Neal Cruz hitting. and you're like this this ball might get. hit really hard. So, it's definitely a. thought and yeah, you do you definitely. worry about your teeth. You you still. want your teeth, but. >> yeah, hockey guys, they're cool with the.
teeth disappearing. You got Do you have. no feeling in your hands? Because like. my uh my fingies, you know, whenever we. whenever my fingies inside the little I. don't know if there's enough padding in. mine or where my hand was, >> but it felt like my thingies really hurt. there. For you, just numb hands. Like, do you guys just have numb hands? >> Uh, no. To answer your question, no. [laughter] Um, I've definitely have. gotten hit and I've caught in a ball and. you you'll get a bruise in your bruise.
in the palm of your hand for a couple. weeks if you get it in a good spot. >> Yeah. Well, the good news is you don't. need that ever, right? In baseball, you. don't need your palm or your hand out at. all. That doesn't sound Do you have a Do. you have a tad on the outside of your. hand there? >> Yeah, I got a this tattoo and I got I. got the other side, too. >> Okay. Are you a switch hitter? I don't. know. Do you hit from both sides? Do you. need to see some ink on your hand before. you go into a batter's box? Like what. when did we do the hand?
>> Uh I did the hand tattoos when I was oh. man maybe 22. Um. I did my arms and then I kind of started. creeping down into my hands. Did like. one hand tattoo and then I was like, you. know what? I'm just going to go for it. Um I enjoy I like them. So um but I wear. batting gloves when I hit so I don't see. them anyways. >> I wish you could see through the top. there. Yeah. >> Yeah. For the compass and the moon. Is. that what it is? We're looking at. directions. We're looking up at the sky. What are we doing? >> Yeah, exactly.
>> Now, I got my mom's eye on my left hand. I got the the moon. There's a there's a. song called So Will I. And that's kind. of the theme of my right arm. uh tattoos. So, uh I enjoy my tattoos. I. like them. People are like, "You're. going to regret them." I'm like, "Ah, it's right.". >> No, they look sick. Yeah. You You look. so You always look cool. Yeah, you. always look cool. You need to know that. So why is that song about just being. like the best glove in the world? Like. so why again? >> Oh, no. No. >> Okay, I know. >> It's a It's a It's a Christian song that.
I uh that I really like. >> Come on. I enjoy the hell out of that. Thank you for the knowledge and thank. you for looking sweet out there. We do. need see-through gloves though, you. know, so we can see the entire story. >> It's kind of Mickey Mouse. >> There you go. >> Bare hands. Jason Kendall. >> Jason Kendall did it. Choke up. >> something. Think about. Yeah, choke up. Bare hands. We get guys are pitching 105. right now. >> Ty has a question for you, Bryce. >> Yeah, Bryce, I don't know if you've seen. it, but just uh you know, I know you won.
the platinum glove. A lot of guys right. now are actually playing second base. with lollipops in, so maybe that might. be something you uh you know, kind of. run with for the rest of the season. Might maybe help, you know, protect. those teeth as well. But when you look. at your team as a whole, like um do you. do you feel like this is kind of the. year? You guys are obviously very under. the radar when it comes to the NL, all. anyone talks about is either the Dodgers. or the Mets, you know, the Phillies, I. guess. But then after what you did last. year, um like I'm hoping, you know, and. I know you don't have anything to do. with this, but like I'm hoping you guys.
are going to go get Scooble at the trade. deadline, even if you know you don't. resign him this year, but like a onetwo. punch of him and Miz, like with how well. you've been playing and how well you. guys played last year, like is the. belief there in the clubhouse that like, hey, nobody else really believes in us. being in Milwaukee, but like we know. come October we are going to be one of. the toughest outs in baseball. Uh, I mean, we got a really good group. of guys who have totally bought into the.
type of player they are and bought into. the type of team that we are and um, scoring in every aspect of the game or. um, you know, pitching well, playing. good defense, base running. So, we had a. lot of guys who bought into that and I. mean it's great, dude. We got we're very. confident in in our team and what we got. and we're we're confident in um each. other and trusting each other. So that. goes a far away. Um. yeah, dude. I mean it's it's been fun. It's been a really good really good time.
and we just got to go out there and. compete and keep playing. Well, >> are you guys popping mits over there on. daily? Like when when do we pop mits. during the season? When when do we just. kind of like in the clubhouse? You guys. just picking up a mitt and just say, "Hey, how you doing?" Just kind of. spinning it. Just kind of doing one of. those. You guys just popping mids and. just kind of Whoa. See that mid pop. right up there. Just big stretch. Obviously got both fingers outside. I. heard this what we're doing it for pros. Okay. You heard that's why we're doing. it for pros. That's not what we're. doing. >> Two fingers.
>> Two. Two fingers. >> No, certainly not. >> Who told you that? >> I'm tired of my pointer finger getting. all bruised up. [laughter]. >> Okay. I'm tired of it and getting. bruised up in here. I'm done with it. I'm putting out there. Two fingies out. Yeah. Hey, just. >> go ahead. You could just move your finger over. So, put it out and then just move it. over a little bit and it'll help you. out. >> Or you don't put your hand as deep into. the glove as you got it in there. >> Oh, so you're saying we need to have a. little casual, a little looser. Okay. But what if I lose the thing? >> Yeah, we're little looser. [laughter].
>> Okay. All right. We'll see. Uh, voting. for Allstar ends tomorrow at noon. This. man obviously deserves to be over in. Philadelphia representing not only the. Brewers, but all of baseball. We. appreciate the hell out of you, Bryce. Thank you for joining us, brother. >> Hey, thank you. No, it's good uh good to. have a conversation. I remember you, my. brother-in-law punts for the commanders, and I remember you way before doing. video clips and we'd send him in our. family group chat and we'd all just be. dying, laughing, great time. >> Tres Tres is a legend, by the way. An.
absolute legend in this entire thing. And uh. >> yeah, he's always been so cool and kind. to me when he he potentially is going to. go down as a goat whenever it's all said. and done with how long he's been in. there. So, massive respect for your. family and thank you, Bryce, for joining. us. You're a legend, brother. >> Yeah. Heck yeah. Thanks for having me. >> Watch this. >> This fun. Good time. >> Watch this. >> Check this [ __ ] out. >> Turning two. Turn two. >> Yeah. Here you go. >> Yeah. Here you go. >> Two at a time. >> No.
>> Not bad. >> There it is. >> Okay. All right. One more. >> Hey, that was the that was the 10 cent. throw we were talking about. [laughter]. Yeah. >> Jeez. We'll see. Actually, we just got. that wall and. >> you just pulled the first base. [laughter] off the bag just might be. more than 10 cents. Need first baseman. to make a play. >> He did. >> Irish thing. >> Uhhuh. >> Oh my god. [laughter].
>> That thing [ __ ] shattered into a. thous. >> That was awesome. >> Son of a gun. >> Do one more. Do one more. >> [laughter]. >> I don't know. Did you guys get a good. shot of that? Cuz that thing exploded. [laughter]. >> Oh my god. >> You can zoom out. You can zoom out of. that. I believe I believe that is. [laughter] hilarious letter. >> Son of a gun. >> Oh no. >> Oh yeah, that's the letter. >> All right. Yeah, it is. All right. Vote. for Bryce. [laughter].
>> All right, Bryce. I need to take a. little bit better coaching next time. Here we go, ladies. Right. >> I I got to I got to I think I know what. my miss is. >> Yep. >> Yeah. It It has always been. >> right there to the right. >> Tail armside. Hi. >> Haven't heard glass break like that. since AT&T Stadium. >> Stone cold. >> All right. >> That was [ __ ] awesome. Dead. >> Did I turn? I don't know if I turned. too. >> No, that was he that went into the. dugout. >> Maybe hit the batter right in the face.
>> Sports Center's next. It'll be so much. better than this. Goodbye. >> All right, that was good sound off. One. of our best. >> That thing exploded. >> Dead center. Yeah. >> I mean, it was this far away. >> You hear that come through the. >> Oh, yeah. I heard it loud and clear. >> Feel great about the draw now. >> I mean, feel great about the draw now. >> Are we? >> Yeah. I feel great about. >> That was the thank you letter that AJ. wrote us. >> Yeah, that's exactly what that was. Very. kind of him to do that. We appreciate. that. Okay, let's see if the soccer.
thing can do a little different. Uh. obviously we are on uh Canada. Switzerland draw team ride. >> Yep. >> When these games start 3:00. >> 3:00 2 at 3, two at 6, two at 10, >> nine, excuse me. >> There's a psychic that says the baby an. alien or UFO shows up today, AJ. So. maybe your dream comes true. >> If you're 21 plus and want to team ride. with us, we're doing draw can. Switzerland. And Grella thinks maybe 22. 33 3 4. >> Yeah, exactly. >> Could be exciting. You know, an. exciting, riveting draw is really. something that soccer has and nobody.
else has. Anything they attack? >> Absolutely. I mean, he said it. Rock and. roll football coming right down your. throat. >> Eric Kane. >> [ __ ] Eric Kane. >> Is he going home? They put him on a. ship. >> We know a lot about ships, don't we? I'll tell you what, up to something. seasons in an interesting place right. now. Jams. >> They saw Jams. Jams. >> Love Jams. Absolutely love Jams. AJ, what do you what is what are you okay? >> Yeah. Why? What happened? >> Well, your face just to us celebrating.
Jams as if you you don't fully. understand that. >> Jams is the greatest peanut butter and. jelly that you can possibly find. Available nationwide, Target and. Walmart. >> Boom. >> And also Gou Puff is that Y. >> normally you can you can find it on. there as well. age and it sound like. maybe with your reaction you don't fully. understand how pumped we are about being. a part of a PB and J that can uh. >> maybe change the entire world AJ I don't. know if he gets it over there. >> AJ and the J should stand for jams but. it sounds like he's not jam.
>> yeah A should stand for always you know. so he's always jams potentially. >> jam. >> you're not jaming is this is this like. uh are we building into some big thing. you're about to do is that what's. happening. >> yeah something big's coming I would. I mean like right now this moment like. big presentation. Are you going to turn. two again or something? >> No, I was going to wait until that. soccer ball kind of just ran itself over. here, but it appears if it is not going. to do that. [laughter]. >> So that that was just a little bit of a. fill. But we do.
>> we do have a replay on turning two with. uh Bryce Tang a platinum glove. >> Uh yep. Go ahead. Remember Irish? What's. this? The whole thing. Oh, it's. >> okay. Let's go back. Let's go back. [laughter] Let's go back. It does appear. as if everybody heard the sound. >> It's very loud. >> Loud and clear. Go back. >> That was real glass. That was real. glass. >> Gordinho's got you on the ball. >> Go ahead and turn one. Turn two. Come. here. Get. >> [ __ ] Square right in the center.
>> Yeah. I mean, what was I aiming for? You'll never know. >> Yeah. You were aiming for that whole. time. >> That is my miss. >> That letter from a Daly Lama or. something. What was it? >> Yeah, it was an important letter. It was. funny letter. >> Yeah, the Daly Lama. >> We'll just reframe it. It was right over. the water fountain. You know, we wanted. to see it. >> every day. >> Actually, water fountain gets used a lot. more than people could imagine. You. know, back in high school, you used to. be a big time water fountain. >> Lover water fountain. >> You know, you get those little small. water fountains. You hate it. Come on. Come on. You're like licking out of the. hole. >> Yeah, it's fine. You still did it. though. >> Yeah, you definitely did it. But, you.
know, everybody else had to do it, too. So, everybody was doing that. It was. kind of. >> We're kind of a puppet to those water. fountains. But, we definitely did it as. well. when you found a good. >> Oh, none better. >> The whole team whole team's waiting. behind you though, so you got to you got. to be a good teammate and not stay there. too long cuz you only have 30 second. break. >> Those are so good. So much fun. >> Get down there. Nice and cool. We have one of those. We. have like a medium one. Not a super. duper one that's going to become, you. know, super distracting and uh a little.
slippy all over the place. Just pretty. good solid. And then also the bottle. fill one. >> It does. It has a taste to it. >> It does a little bit. >> This water here. >> like metal or what? >> Um God, I would say it's metallicy. >> I love drinking out of a hose growing. up. >> Yeah, exactly. >> Oh, still growing up. >> Yeah. I mean, I'm not around the hose. Just kind of running as much as I was. maybe maybe in the younger days. But. I'll tell you, if I find one, it's a hot. day and there's a hose with water. running through it, I'll drink it.
>> Yeah, I'll take a swig. >> I'll drink it. >> It's always cold. Probably should keep. an eye on that though because there is a. good chance that Tago eats like a. handful of glass because he's always. >> and he wouldn't even think twice about. >> That's what I'm saying. Like his mouth. will be bleeding. He. >> might actually help his brain. >> Yeah. >> Come on. >> He would he would just keep chewing and. drinking it and just have no idea that. was happening. >> The crunchy glass is pretty good. >> Yeah. He'll he'll he'll make a. comparison to maybe like Newport. You. remember Newport was allegedly putting. glass inside of it stuff, cut it open so. it could get into your veins. >> Yeah. >> He's gonna say he did that with his. water. He put a little shards of glass.
so it could get into his bloodstream. Taco will have it figured out. I think. >> might be his Joker arc perhaps. >> You don't get enough credit for. employing the people that you do. >> Thank you. Thank you. I think about that. a lot. >> Me too. >> Things happen and I go. Where else? [laughter] Just for a. living. >> That's true. >> For a living. What What would What would. it be? I don't know. >> That's for all of us and we're lucky for. it, aren't we? [laughter]. >> Oh, yeah. >> Come on. This, ladies and gentlemen. >> Yeah. [laughter].
>> This. is for $50,000. >> Boom. >> To who? Potentially you. Tell them. AJ. >> Yep. If you join this 50K to you, one of. the lucky people out there. >> Not one. A charity. >> Hog. Walk it back. Hog. Walk it back. >> Probably like a hundred winners of $500. because tax purposes obviously under. 500. >> You got to let them know where you could. be paid at, too. >> Yeah. We need that in. You need to you. need to repost. >> this video.
>> This video. And then you also need to do. that with uh saying something nice to. somebody. >> Yeah. >> Mhm. >> Anybody. >> Yep. Summer should be easy. >> Yeah. A lot of good vibes. >> Yeah. >> Then put the easiest way to pay you. >> Mhm. >> And then you could be randomly selected. potentially to win. >> $500. >> 500 bones. >> of a total 50,000. >> Thank you for doing that, AJ. >> Good work. Is it uh is it easier to say something. nice to somebody in the summer than the. winter? >> Am I missing something. >> overall? Yeah. Verse better. Steelers.
aren't ruining my life. >> Well, the Steelers certainly can bring. it down. Your team can certainly ruin. your life in the fall. But um seasonal. depression, I think, is like a. scientifically proven thing. >> Yeah. >> Yeah. Sun is the sun is good. I agree. >> But obviously what you're saying is. >> we can't let that beat us. >> Yeah. Oh, boohoo. >> Oh, you're saying be mean all the time. AJ's saying, "Be nice all the time.". >> Be nice during the winter. >> Yeah. >> Yeah. Why not? Why not enjoy it? >> All your pretty little bees, see what. happens to them in the winter. >> The hawk,
>> they go underground. >> They're building up, right? Hey, they're. preparing right now, Tone. You know. that. >> How are How is the hawk hive doing right. now? >> It's doing great. Just letting them. I'm, you know, trying to stay as hands. off as I can. >> You don't do anything for these [ __ ]. things. You say that every single time. >> They're doing great. I'm just pretty. hands off letting them do what they got. to do. That's what you say every single. time. >> I can't bring the nectar for them. I. can't go out and collect pollen and. nectar for them. They are already doing. that on their own. >> It sounds like this whole rig of morale.
stinks. You should just take that. beehive and go throw it in the river or. something. >> No, he's going to get honey. They'll. live through that. >> Okay. So, what have you had to do other. than just kind of collect them? Have you. found the queen? Have we marked the. queen? >> I have not, but I've a lot of like So, I'm going to get in there probably. tomorrow, actually. No, like I've I've. talked to many people the pattern and. everything going on. It's even like they. say don't worry like this is great. pattern what they're doing. They're very. calm as well. I go out there without my. suit on and kind of re replenish their. sugar water and everything and just just. peek at them. Everything's going great.
But I'm going to be inspecting again. probably tomorrow or the next day where. I'm going to at least put the top of the. suit on the headpiece and and get in. there and maybe even find that queen and. mark her. >> Okay. So, you are potentially snooping. around for the queen, but we're not. investing real time for the queen at. this point. If you happen to see her, that'd be great news. You'd like to mark. her, but if you don't, it's not a big. deal. How long can you go without. knowing who the queen is? Cuz I thought. the beehive needs the queen bee. I. thought. >> pretty important. >> Oh, yeah. Well, there's all kind of. different situations that could be. happening. Like there's there's queens. that uh have not made their mating.
flight yet that there's virgin laying. queens. You just got to make sure they. got eggs in there. The queen is laying. eggs in there, taking care of those. eggs. That's what we're trying to do. Good luck finding your queen. >> When do you get honey? >> Oh, not. >> I mean on eventually, but that's the. thing like there there's already capp. honey in there that they have produced. But that's for them. That's that's for. them over the winter time. They need to, you know, >> store it all. >> When do we get our honey? >> Yeah. When's human honey? When's not the. war chest honey? Do we have to wait for. that? >> Yeah, for sure. I think after the winter.
and after they come through it stronger. and better than ever, then I'll think. about harvesting some honey. Have you. seen the Jerry Seinfeld Bee movie? >> I actually did see it recently. I did. It's a great movie. Really good. >> Very good movie. I think so, too. I. learned a lot about the beast. I respect. what they got going on in there. Yeah, >> it's cool. >> Pollen is a problem, man. >> They should make a second one. >> They probably will. >> Sure they will. >> I hope Jerry does. I hope he has Tracy. Morgan in there, too. Can we get Tracy. Morgan and everything, by the way? >> Yeah. >> Is Has anybody heard from him since the. Knicks have won? >> No. He's pretty jacked up, though. >> It's all about the parade.
>> Did you? >> Yeah, he was there. >> How's Statue of Liberty? Pregnant? Yeah, someone was [ __ ]. >> Yes. Well, actually that night. >> Yeah, they lost that night. >> No, but I'm saying since. >> But yeah, since then. Yes. >> AJ, tell them. >> Oh, yeah. Uh, multiple people, maybe. like $500 a person. If you make this. this kick, this drop kick into the hoop. $50,000 will be going to people. But you. got to post this clip, say something. nice to about somebody, which is much.
easier in the summertime, I am learning, than the winter. Uh allah, you know, the. sun will help with that. And then tell. us uh how we can pay you. >> Well said. >> My god. >> Nailed it. >> And you can't take cash. This guy knows. >> Put in cash. Yeah, that's pretty good. Yeah, pretty good.
