Thunderdome on this W Wednesday December. 4th 2024 this program starts. now football is wonderful and uh. obviously the college football playoff. rankings came out last night and there. is is a lot to chat about we'll have.

Coach Dan Mullen joining us obviously. now he's an ESPN college football pundit. cannot wait to talk to him in about 20. minutes or so about his thoughts on. who's in Alabama who's out Miami but who. else is potentially pissed Old Miss. South Carolina and then what's going to. happen to SMU what if they lose to. Clemson they were ranked very low for a. long long part of this season even. though they were winning games are they. going to get bumped out what will this. look like next week after Championship. weekend we shall see now Ward Manuel the.

leader of the college football playoff. committee spoke to ree Davis last night. and he chit CCH about how any these. teams aren't playing we're going to have. no more data points so they're pretty. much congrats to Indiana hell yeah. congrats to Indiana they are ranked 10th. they are in the college football. playoffs cetti seemingly now granted. there could be a whole new discussion. whenever push comes to shove this is. going to be the actual first ever 12. team playoff maybe they'll be able to. change something or they will change. something but as it sits right now and. what Ward said last night to Rees Davis. it feels was like if you're in Indiana.

you're in a good spot Notre Dame great. spot obviously Tennessee congratulations. Ohio State not in the Big 10. Championship just lost to Michigan in. the Rival Michigan fires the offensive. coordinator after beating Ohio State. Ohio State I think very safe very. sounded home game in the college. football playoff hosting an SEC team at. the Horseshoe and then congrats to you. know Penn State getting in ladies and. gentlemen 12E NFL vet AQ Shipley is here.

pen State look at how lot I mean the. microphone's perfectly placed so we. don't have to see it yeah well that's at. Penn State. education we'll be able to figure it out. oh yeah congrats to Penn State in there. now if they beat Oregon I would assume. that them in Oregon Oregon would get. that five hole five hole is where you. want to be yeah and I think everybody. kind of knows that they're going to have. to change that for future years because. shouldn't have teams eyeing the five. hole right out of the conference. Championship whenever they were trying. to make the championships more relevant.

than they've ever been need the first. couple rounds to be at least home field. maybe all the way to semi-finals we are. and I know they'll show me well. corporate won't agree with that because. we got these buildings and sponsors. we'll pick them up and move them yeah I. mean what are we even talking about I. understand that you know the Sugar Bowl. and Fiesta Bowl are supposed to be in. places and they always have been it's. like well you're still in a place and. it's a semi-final so it is a still a big. deal even though you pick it up and move. it but there's going to be a lot of old. head in college ball I think they're.

going to hate that first two rounds need. to have HomeField Advantage because that. is going to be a show and this would be. a perfect first round lineup if you were. to ask us we got cold teams playing hot. teams hot teams playing cold teams teams. from the desert taking on teams from the. hills it is a beautiful setup and uh. there's people pissed which is always. going to be for good conversation the. talk tables here at boson Conor and at. tym con man whenever you think about. Miami mhm poor old Miami it's Dam shame. damn it is isn't it truly now granted.

they beat Syracuse or not it's not this. isn't even a conversation take care B. cuz Miami had been the highest ranked. ACC team the entire season yeah you know. that's cuz cam Ward obviously best. quarterback in the ACC so everybody. thought that team was going to go and do. it and it also felt like they had the. football Gods behind them in every game. for sure every game there was some. miraculous something happening there was. some there was some review taking place. in Charlotte that was coming back Which. Way Miami's way every single time so it. felt like Miami was going to be the team. Destiny but they were always the highest.

ranked ACC team even though SMU had been. leading the ACC whenever it came to you. know record and everything like that so. then when Miami gets moved out all of a. sudden and a three- loss Alabama team. gets put in boy those Miami fans which. we know oh yeah bummed out they're loud. they were very loud South Carolina fans. they're mad yeah should be Old Miss fans. Lane kein tweeting this morning at he's. going at people the Miami athletic. director gets out last night and puts. out a full TW what are we talking about.

he's not the only one that's active on. there this the Miami athletic director. on X saying what what are we talking. about what is this whole thing Lane kein. amen Lane kein this morning is like. every shut up talking to a human who is. talking about Alabama in instead of Old. Miss or South Carolina I mean it is like. right now we're in full campaign season. but last night almost was election night. it feels like we kind of know what it's. going to look like at this point which. is why I think everybody's pissed off. yeah without a doubt and it does feel. like they got it right every game on.

there it feels like is a banger I think. this is the college football playoff. maybe it move some teams around who. knows what happens with the you know the. championship games but SMU that's a. winning you're in because I don't think. SMU loses the ACC and they look at SMU. and say hey they could sneak in over. Bama B's going okay Alabama roll tide. they are going to the college football. well that's cuz you're all you're secb. absolutely which is funny just because. you know aside from Miami it would be. miss or South Carolina but Miami you. know if maybe cam was a little higher in.

that Heisman race you can make an. argument hey we need to see that guy in. the college football playoff it's done. I'm sorry the ACC sucks we've been. talking about this all year the ACC. stinks no one has any respect for him I. do what are you talking Georgia Texas. took Georgia to eight over and it was. awesome but rivalry games as we've noted. with Ohio State at 8 those are a little. different when it comes to you know. ranking the teams especially when you're. talking about the strength and schedule. which they brought up on the broadcast. like hey in previous years yeah strength. and schedule's a thing strength and. schedule's a thing and I think Reese or.

one of the guys said like this is the. first year strength of schedule really. does matter and that is why Alabama is. in and it would be a shame to not have. milro and the guys on that team be in. the college football playoffs Ryan. Williams dudes who can make unbelievable. plays now I do wonder where like Georgia. and Penn State end up if they both lose. just because do they play each other. then do they go to the eight and nine. and then Ohio State maybe moves up to a. to a different spot Tennessee maybe. slides into eight and gets a home game. like that is where I wonder what happens.

but these do feel like the teams uh. aside from SMU unless they lose and. everybody's mad about Alabama having. three losses being in there if Texas. beats Georgia Georgia's going to have. three losses they're going to be in two. yeah so there's there people are going. to be pissed next week one way or the. other let's go to South Flor man ladies. and gentlemen nine-year NFL vet host of. everything DB good dbad D Darius J. Butler sir Miami fans not happy not. happy not happy but I mean we said. coaches say it all the times to players. you know don't leave it in the ref's. hands you know handle business don't.

leave it up to a call or something and. for players for the teams you handle. business obviously you beat Georgia Tech. you beat Syracuse you're not sitting in. situation you've been sitting in that. by- week slot all year long so you. handle business you go to the ACC. Championship and you win it or lose it. you're in so we didn't handle business. down the stretch so and War Emanuel kind. of laid it out why Alabama went in over. Miami with the top 25 wins and losses so. um here it is right here Bingo joining. us now is the chair of the college. football playoff selection committee. Ward Manuel so board uh let's start with.

the last team in the cluster of SEC. teams in Miami what gave Alabama The. Edge over the rest of that. group R re it's good to be with you. again uh what it came down to is as we. evaluated uh both teams and and looked. at how they ranked obviously we think. highly of both teams one's at 11 one's. at 12 but what it really came down to is. Alabama uh is 3 and one against current. top 25 teams uh in in Miami is 0 And1 uh.

Alabama is 6-1 against teams above 500. uh and Miami's 4-2 uh both uh have had. some losses um that weren't uh what they. wanted out of those games uh but in the. last three games uh Miami has lost two. uh two uh twice and so for us in. evaluating their body of work uh we felt. that Alabama got the edge uh over Miami. well the body of work is complete for.

for Alabama for Miami for Old Miss for. South Carolina there one more rankings. to do what could change could it change. is it set good question great question. it could change uh it it all depends on. the outcome of these games the. Commissioners have asked us to rank the. top 25 through uh the conference. championships and uh that's what we. intend to do okay uh we have a high. regard as I've said before for those who. are playing in those conference. championships and we will close evaluate.

uh those games and the outcome of those. games uh to rank the top. 25 so then Reese he's about to interrupt. him to ask him a followup about. everything being said if you're not. playing in Championship which we will. certainly run in a matter of moments but. a lot of those stats there early you. know he goes uh six-1 against above 500. teams uh what was four top 25 three And1. against top 25 they were 0 and one or. something like that Miami was 0 and one. and then one and two whatever he was. giving out like real numbers about hey. this these were presented and this is.

why this happened which is why it's good. to play a hard schedule right so like. there is some being taken into account. about how you play against top 25 teams. obviously that's why Alabama is getting. a spot over Miami once again not Miami. spot uh fault for this being their. schedule and who they got to play who. and how the teams ended up being you. know what the top rankings were. inevitably at the end versus what they. were at the time like that's kind of. smu's big conversation is their losses. to BYU at the time BYU was top 14 team.

now BYU not even in Big 12 Championship. anymore not even a thought so like their. loss now looks worse as the season goes. on but some of your big wins for a lot. of these teams look worse as the season. goes on and then nobody thinks about. what about a team getting hot late like. Kansas for instance Kansas in Big 12 has. come in over the last like three four. weeks and been the team that we all. thought they were going to be all season. so is a win over them being projected. the proper way that it should be from. the beginning of the season when if you. think about Big 12 teams when if you. think about ACC teams and who's supposed. to be good there's so much that is kind.

of uh you know contradicts each other in. the conversation and one of them is if. you're in the tournament right now and. you're not in the conference. Championship can anything change and. that's where this clip goes to among. that cluster of teams though and I'm I'm. not talking about all of them or not. talking about UNLV or Clemson knocking. someone out among that cluster of teams. what could happen and why could anything. happen to change the order. well it just depends on those who are.

playing in their conference. championships those team playing in the. conference championships you know you. see what I'm saying none of those teams. were talking about are playing oh I see. what you're saying yeah yes so those who. are not playing uh we we will not adjust. those teams because they they don't have. another data point obviously uh but in. in terms of those who are playing how. they'll move if they'll move at all if. you remember two years ago TCU lost in. their conference Championship game and. didn't move they stayed at three so we.

could do that or we could adjust. depending on the outcomes of the game so. if you're not in the conference. Championship and you're in the playoff. you did it you're safe congrats that's. what I just heard right yep you made it. there isn't any more data points how. could we change from one week to the. next I guess when push comes to shove. you could have a different conversation. about the games and if you want a. different matchup is what they could do. in that room let's go to hammer D. everything we just chatted about AP tone. what is your big takeaway and what are. we not talking about enough yeah I think. it was huge what he said there at the. end about TCU. uh losing their conference Championship.

and not moving down and staying I do. think if SMU loses um and it's not a. 40-point loss to Clemson I do think SMU. still will be in because I don't think. they want to set the precedent of. punishing teams that made their. conference Championship and then are out. of the um are out of the playoff like so. then what does that mean well then that. would mean Clemson would be in and I. think bam was out in that situation um. wow yeah because I mean listen like Old. Miss in South Carolina they can complain.

but you know Old Miss lost to Florida. and Kentucky those those losses are. worse than what Bama has in South. Carolina lost to Bama and Old Miss so I. don't know what what they're arguing. about Miami I mean they're Lo but like. smu's losses will be to a BYU A ranked. BYU team and obviously a ranked Clemson. team in a conference Championship game I. don't see them punishing SMU for they. they've never I don't think wanted to. punish a team for making it to the. conference Championship cuz obviously. right now there's a lot of people about. like well some you should just shouldn't.

play because if they lose they could. potentially be out of the of the bracket. out of the tournament um and then yeah I. think it was like the data point thing. like obviously Tennessee can't jump Ohio. State because those two teams are done. they don't play anymore Alabama can't. jump Notre Dame or Indiana or whatever. because those teams don't play anymore I. think that was big but I do think if SMU. if it's close I don't know how many I. don't know how how much they can afford. to lose by but I do think SMU is in no. matter and I guess Ward Manuel could say. like we're not adjusting anything SMU. was ranked above Alabama Clemson earned.

the first round buy with the ACC. Championship so now who gets bumped out. SMU is still ranked there because I. don't I don't love the interviews that. this Ward guy does with Rees every. single week and I appreciate Rees like. saying like hey we need something. because I mean billions of dollars spent. M yeah on this right well spent and. that's because like an amount of love. and passion and conversation about the. sport which is going to happen you guys. are dictating what the end of the season.

looks like you 13 people and you are. speaking for them so we need answers. okay and Ward's job I guess is to not. put his foot in his mouth down the road. or set any precedent any of these things. so I appreciate him coming out and. saying like hey Indiana you should feel. okay you know uh uh Ohio State you. should feel okay Tennessee you should. feel okay I appreciate him saying that. giving us some answer in this entire. thing I don't love that every time ree. asks him the first question he goes Rees. it's nice to be joining you it's kind of. like a dunk on reys yeah it's like reys.

would like to say hey thank you for. joining us every single time you know. like the the whole song yeah I get it I. I appreciate what he's doing there but. if SMU stays after if Clemson beats him. and Alabama gets dropped off people are. going to hold over his head well if we. didn't play why do we get knocked out. it's like well SMU is ranked above you. to begin with so I hope Ward manual. doesn't get scared to answer questions. going forward if somebody holds what he. said right there over his head but then. that's that's back to leaving it in the. committee's hand. you know you you did what you you went.

nine and three throughout your season so. now you're kind of at their Mercy you. know and and as far as the strength of. schedule the end of the season I think. the strength of schedule should matter. much more than obviously at the. beginning of the Season guys coming in. with preseason rankings you know top 10. top 15 top whatever you get halfway. through the season and you start to. really figure out who these teams are we. saw with South Carolina coming on we. start even with Florida kind of coming. on late uh with with lagway and how they. play for the boys down the stretch so. that's when you got a real gauge of who. these teams who these programs are yeah.

and uh good luck in there I'm happy I'm. not a member of that committee amen I'm. happy I'm not but I appreciate the. passion and I think we're going to get. phenomenal games uh speaking of. phenomenal. um Hard Knock AFC North wow last night. Hard Knocks got they got their fast ball. back yeah delivered they really did so I. think the we talked about it yesterday a. lot that Hard Knocks both in season and. training camp kind of just started.

mixing in with all the other content. that was coming out of teams and social. media accounts and we're getting a. glimpse behind scenes more than we ever. have in the past with social media and. teams are even letting their social. teams into like the war room and into. stuff so like when hard knocks and NFL. films were the only people that had. access to it it was something everybody. couldn't wait to watch oh my God what. would it be like to be in the NFL what. is this building like what is this coach. like what is a meeting like you were. that was kind of like an introduction to. people that didn't make the NFL on what. the NFL is so it was held in high regard.

this is awesome this is incredible then. it all just kind of started blending in. with social media content like. everything guys started having their own. podcast so you started learning more. personalities more stories through the. players So Hard Knocks didn't get a. chance to even tell their story it was. just I think we all agree hard KN was a. dying franchise in my eyes I think it. was going to lose relevance I think it. was going to continue to lose popularity. now granted they're always going to get. deals like with HBO and with mock. because of the relationship and the. partnership and the NFL does well for. people but I thought content wise they.

were losing their fast ball I thought. they was it wasn't going to be able to. find its way then the offseason Hard. Knocks with the Giants happen no social. media team's putting any of that out no. no chance ever and it's like Hardo did. and it's like thank you we appreciate. you getting something that nobody else. could get this year with this hard KNX. with the AFC North they're giving a. that nobody else can get more. specifically they got both teams. preparing for each other and it ended up. being a 3 and A2 minute segment on this. Hardo episode last night that I assume.

is going to win some awards but you're. talking about two NFL teams two coaches. two buildings two philosophies two. different trajectories happening against. each other and as somebody that was very. lucky to be a uh audience member in an. NFL team as the punter I think it. beautifully depicted like The Vibes. every single week he can have here's. three minutes of scorey from NFL. films Hard Knocks AFC North last. night anybody idea what the weather's. going to be Sunday at 1:00 cold okay 25.

or below okay you can't play you can't. play in this division in December. without it being cold weather it's not. right can't be above 30° so buckle up. get your mind right I mean we've been in. some close games and unfortunately we. haven't closed them out there's still a. lot of opportunity to get this season. turned around starting with the. Pittsburgh. Steelers the history of this series man. the runs deep in the. north these intimate divisional. relationships. we know us they know them that's how it.

goes down they play us a certain way. there's a rhythm to. [Music]. it we've had success because we're one. of the teams that refuses to play their. game we're just getting a two back under. Center and handing the ball off and. trying to play action we're going to. attack these guys in the air man I stood. in front of this group man and I talked. about the Lamar Jackson plan I think. it's important that we map out what our. Joe burrow playing is he is red.

hot that felt good that was that was the. one with Jo b a quarterback you know we. can't be four independent contractors we. got to work together right side is dead. we talk about the Integrity of the. pocket you got to not let him step up. and we can't let him get outside to his. right our left we certainly have to do a. great job of keeping Russell in the. pocket come on F put on the show Boy you. know what do when he extends. that's when he's at his best good.

Pro the momentum of the team really gets. driven by 14 because if he creates big. plays it kind of Sparks their. offense is everything because they. they're so afraid of the go balls and. and all that stuff when you run off the. ball like that you get you create all. that space for you you know I mean y'all. know who he's looking for first his. first read is always going to be 14 one. on one he going to take a shot just try. to keep space between you and 14 he's a. great contested catch guy third and one.

Mike Tom don't care he don't want the. first he want the flip the field he. wants the momentum Chase can't have a. good day man man this guy is different. man he's the best in the business right. now and so it's doubly important that we. minimize this damn guy think Fitzpatrick. aware player veteran player okay you. guys know him right receivers expected. that guys coming for you try and take. your head off um they're not a big fake. team uh but anybody gets desperate you. know we do crazy so no doubt how.

about this guy Brown that new featured. Runner we will not be distracted by Joe. burrow and Company to the point where. this guy is sneaking up on us man we got. to establish a relationship with this. guy he might not know your name today he. better know your name on Monday morning. I know one thing for sure right they've. got a coach that's been doing it a long. time that's standing in front of his. room right now preaching that they're. going to come into our stadium and be. the more physical team can't happen. there some dudes in Cincinnati sitting.

in their room to combat the talents of. some of you people there's a reason why. Orlando Brown is in. Cincinnati cuz in 2022 man Alex hasi. walked an absolute dog on this. dude perpect we got tolando brown this. week and so let's. work that's how business gets done in. divisional play man it ain't personal.

man it's about us engineering Victory. this game means something to everybody. it's an awesome opportunity to get back. on track with the home divisional win. versus the Pittsburgh Steelers to go out. and finish out and have a great December. that's all I got get a break now that. would not happen obviously the Steelers. would get a big time win in a very cold. game but herig against Orlando Brown. would end up being a massive play. there'd be a strip from hering and on. his sideline you see Tomlin hugging his. player early George pickings slips Falls. gets pass interference against him that. isn't called Taylor Brit has a pick six.

literally Mike Tomlin armound George. pickings go hey One play and can to stop. this thing I think if you're watching. this that is a great indicator on what a. week of preparation looks like in the. NFL incredible and it it it's not a lot. of things at this point being so far. removed from the game that make you. really really miss it as a player but. that like watching that watching that. that three and a half minutes I was like. damn like you missed that's that's what. you really miss man like the leaders the. coaches the different position groups. laying out exactly what the plan is nine.

times out of 10 the goes that way. and then once you get in the game you. got to ride those es and flows and like. you know Mike Tomlin talking about. establishing a relationship with the. featured Runner like that was awesome. you see him getting off in the game then. him having that conversation with. Hayward kind of going in the halftime. the conversation with George pickings. you hear it all the time with a bunch of. former players or players that have. played for Tomlin or players just been. in NFL like hey I would love to play for. that guy I think they show a great. reasons why even George Pickins like he. was one of those receivers that like I. know when I play Brandon Marshall was a.

guy where like early in the game we got. to take him out because if 15 gets going. early the whole team is up he's up but. if you keep him out first quarter make a. big play kind of you know quarterback. not going to him you'll see him on the. sideline you'll point him out hey he's. over there cussing OC or the. quarterbacks coach out the quarterback. out so just all those different little. things I think films did an incredible. job just showing it and then obviously. seeing you know the the war plans. obviously you're not soldiers football. players but the plans and then actually. taking place on Sunday like it was. absolutely incredible yeah I I I. legitimately that's something that.

nobody else can get cuz social media. teams aren't going to put out both sides. of a game exact so them playing each. other and caring is like a sneak peek. into it obviously Zack Taylor doing his. thing over there in Cincinnati and. Harbaugh had a couple gems there's just. gems being dropped all over the place of. that show and then shout out to Kevin. stefansky having to motivate his team. with where they are jamus is on a. microphone but everybody's saying that. Mike tomman was the winner last night. and as somebody that never played for. the Steelers from Pittsburgh and he was. had Mike Tomlin say to me numerous times.

hey I'm GNA bring you back to Pittsburgh. when you're old and cheap is what he. told me you know just those types of a. moments so having some sort of like. connection to Tomlin but never really. understanding him as a coach last night. I got a good Glimpse at it you played. for the Steelers you're from Pittsburgh. what was your takea away from that and. then also Tomlin as a coach as a whole. yeah that whole thing got me fired up. when I watch that it like brings you. back right like it gets you back in the. mode it's everything that you want to. see that takes you back to those. division games and Bruce AR used to. always say he would always say Hey. listen like everybody's got to make.

plays right but when we'd get in those. division games he's like listen I know. the five stars are going to show up how. do you know you're a five star your. paycheck just take a peek at it I need. you one two and three stars to show up. because you're going to be the. difference in the game right and when we. would play Seattle out in Arizona or if. we were playing San Fran it was a big. division game it was like listen I know. Carson Palmer and Larry Fitzgerald are. going to show up I need AQ Shipley to. beat the out of jiren Reed this. game for us to get three three three and. get our first downs right and so that. that that was that was pretty cool watch. yeah watching the motivational Tech uh.

technique in in the way tomman talks he. also busted open some Fritos in the. middle of a film session you know they. call him a film junkie uh let's go to. hammer tone I just from following along. with your uh ex account you were. splooging all over yourself last night. uh watching that hard knock as a Die. Hard Steeler fan yeah I was smitten uh. CU yeah a lot of Steelers fans thought. we would never have this opportunity uh. and we did and I was it was awesome a. lot of people were like well too much. Ste Steelers well that was because it.

was division game against the Bengals. and they just happened to win that game. and Mike Tomlin is awesome and that. showed how much he cares you you talked. about him with herig and him with GP but. like some of like just the small stuff. like uh when keano Benton got up uh in. front of the team the night before the. game and said he had a bad week he had a. bad week physically he had a bad week. mentally like that's a second-year. player and that's nothing that's. something I never ever ever would imagin. him getting up in front of the team. forced to by the way he was forced to. and he representing the dline too I. don't if you saw immediately after his.

speech he goes back to where the dline. was and Cam's like that's right like. talking to the linebackers cuz I. assume there's been a corner that's. walked up there stumbled all over. himself and then just boo gets his ass. booed out of there but there is those. little things that I think like fans. don't know happen yeah even like uh the. Thanksgiving part when he's like hey a. lot of coaches do it but they like hey. H's open cuz a lot of people wait from. the families you can come you're welcome. some of the ogs obviously do that on the. team you saw the hey kind of enjoying. their Thanksgiving because I think Zack.

Taylor was like oh like you. reminded me like it's Thanksgiving. because it's just so important as. football players that's just kind of. your life Thanksgiving Christmas like. you're in the middle of it so big. division rivel Bengals are playing for. their season uh Steelers obviously have. bigger goals um in mine as well Ravens. like even the Browns you know seeing. like miles Garett and their their their. uh old line coach or assist was that. assistant old line coach we'll be. running that in the third hour have to. third good great yeah cuz it'll just be.

a muted TV on ESPN for what 2 minutes 2. minutes straight football bab probably. love it that's what it actually is like. inside of a building and I think you. know the people that are saying there's. a lot of Steelers Steelers are the only. ones that won yeah so like Bengals lost. obviously to the Steelers Ravens lose. and then the Browns lose on Monday Night. Football but them having a Monday Night. Football shot in it like reiterates the. fact NFL films is editing that all the. way up until like yesterday's drop CRA. like it is bananas how much effort and.

uh I think they are worthy of the. flowers after last night's episode I if. that is what this whole season's going. to be like hold the phone Hard Knocks. all the way back yeah you have to give. them a massive amount of credit because. like you mentioned it and everyone gets. excited when like the preseason Hard. Knocks but then you watch that first. episode and it's like okay I've SE I've. seen this a hundred times already I. don't need to see this anymore like they. realize like hey we kind of do need to. adapt and like CU we have been Jumping. the Shark because if you remember when.

the Colts were on the in season one. Keith krove who or kasro who works for. NFL films came on and told us like hey. the plan was we're going to ride with. them as far as they go and they ended up. losing to the Jags and got eliminated. early yeah I remember yeah but the idea. the idea and them having two potential. playoff teams here is like and I don't. know if they've said this yet but like. there is a chance we get to watch the. Steelers and the Ravens like through the. playoffs and on their way to the Super. Bowl and then you also have the other. stuff like we know how hard it is to win. divisional games so just like that type.

of stuff like you mentioned it you're. you're not see we get the same Social. Media stuff every single week like and. the look in the locker room after post. game like that's always sweet but then. it's the same thing it's it's kind of. like if we would have run the assistant. line coach video like they for whatever. reason they're muting all the like we're. getting the unadulterated unfiltered. that real life is what the NFL is. like real life you know make no bones. about it that's what it is so it's like. you see something like that and it's. like okay like this is awesome this this.

should be kind of the gold standard of. what Hard Knock is I think they should. do a division every single year because. then you don't have the oh we're doing. the Cardinals and they're 4- 10 right. now and like you you watch it and you. just don't care like you're you're. whether you're a Steelers fan or a. Ravens fan or whoever like you're. invested in watching these teams and. also um once again to the NFL films. doing four teams yeah so now you got. four crews right in the middle of a. season so much harder imagine how much. they got to so much harder chop even. more good they got to I like that. fre in kind of some of the too.

like the players do you know burrow and. Chase talking about him getting the. Batman suit in the Batmobile 2.9 Million. B and then the Ravens players just. talking about like the sequan like. hearing Lamar Jackson speak in all of. another players at practice with the. boys exactly like that's just that. happens throughout the week that um you. know you know you're not going to see. anywhere else but hard now he I don't. even think I see nothing in street ball. he was just talking it is cool like and. if you're George Pickins I think you. love hearing that this is how the other. team's talking about you you know like.

that's why whenever bill bich would do. his press conferences he would me. mention somebody's name the player would. take that as like a badge of honor. because it's like okay so I got Bill. thinking about me you know and I think. some of the superstars obviously. quarterbacks know that the other team is. talking about him obviously you're. you're the quarterback but the way. George pickings was talked about there. 14 is the guy here and then Hilton going. Russ is looking for GP no matter what. third and one he don't care he is trying. to do that and then you hear Tomlin. basically you know backing everything it. is question if you're a free agent.

you're watching that and it's. like Pittsburgh be a cool place prob be. a good guy cool guy to play for and then. the Baltimore Ravens it feels like it's. like I don't want to say like an. institution but it does feel like hey. this is the Raven Way yeah you walk in. it feels like that has been the way. obviously Harbaugh's been there a long. time we're getting a chance to listen to. Coach Harbaugh do the way he does his. things but it feels like you're walking. into like a college it's like it's kind. of what it felt you played there I. played for both those teams that's why. it was kind of cool to see cuz not a lot.

has changed I mean it's exactly the way. it is hardbar runs it like like you said. like it's an institution like it's a. classroom he puts on a Full Tilt. presentation I mean I've never I've. never been to a place more in my life. like Harbaugh say a quote in like a. meeting they'll be like oh yeah that was. good let's put that on a T-shirt and. that t-shirt shows up in your locker you. know what I mean it's like there's some. old school stuff going on and it's like. you you see the way that they operate. but then you see the way tomman operates. and the way tomman operates it's like. he's got one line he's got sweats on. he's got a sweatshirt on he's just. walking around position room to position.

room saying what are we thinking here. and then yesterday uh on the not that. footage that we saw but it was a earlier. conversation with the defensive staff. and he's like Joe's always like he's. holding sh he like slithers through the. pocket we need to stop him from. slithering through the pocket and then. literally they show a play Joe slithers. through and then throws a touchdown and. then he goes and talks to cam Hayward to. your point as they're walking off the. field and Cam's like man they're running.

he's like yeah we need to stop the run. and we need to push the middle of the. pocket pretty much and he said get your. guys right he said to cam and Cam's like. you got it and also for cam Hayward it. was cool to watch him be the leader and. the guy that he is yeah you know his. little brothers on the team him and his. little brother have a 10year age Gap I. didn't know that and his dad passed away. whenever he was 17 so he was just going. to college younger brother uh was. obviously seven when that happened so he. went through all of high school without. his dad who was Iron Head Hayward uh. professional football player his family. still lives in Pittsburgh I believe.

because he was a member of the Steelers. so like watching cam Hayward who's had a. Hall of Fame care been around oh yeah a. long long time and watch him not be like. you know it feels like everybody liked. him the way him and Tomlin talked his. brother how he looks up to him I like. this personal I think he had a big. performance last night too good for cam. Hayward last night his massive. head huge that Gu Family of the family. for sure that head holy he had a. hat he had a hat on and that thing that. was a rear naked choke on his forehead I. mean I don't know if they make enough.

cloth for how big that head is. but it was uh it was a phenomenal hard I. mean I can't wait for next week uh tone. what were you gonna say you had a. question I was going to ask uh because. obviously you guys are in the meeting. rooms It Felt Like Mike Hilton was. running that DB meeting room does that. happen a lot or is that just like the. vet in the room speaks on on certain. things yeah especially a guy that's been. in that division he was a Pittsburgh he. was a great Pittsburgh so he's been in. that division he knows how the game's. going to go and even on the sideline he.

told uh cam Taylor Brit after the pick. hey after the pick hey they're coming. right they're coming right back to him. they're coming right back at him and. like when you've been in those in those. battle and you're so familiar with those. teams and those coaches you obviously. know what's going on but I always talk. about the importance of having like good. vets in the meeting rooms especially. when you're drafting young players. regardless of what those position that's. where you spend most of the time and a. lot of times those oldheads I'm sure. hayward's the same way in his his. meeting room Mike Hilton miles Garrett. like those guys kind of the tone and the. temperature in those meat rooms of how. you're going to prepare for practices.

and games tom Tomlin literally said hey. get your guys to the to cam Hayward. because that is how an NFL building is. operating and I know coaches are very. important and there's some trash coaches. around the NFL position groups and. everything like that you're not going to. be able to hit home runs everywhere but. if you have a good room you're going to. have a good team if you have all good. rooms you're going to have a great team. I think that is legitimately the case. offensive line players coaching in there. too whenever coach is not in there yeah. that was one of my favorite Clips I mean. I'm glad you guys brought that up cuz. it's like you know it could be a.

Thursday after practice it's like hey. boys let's meet in the room let's go. over the negative plays let's go over. the sacks let's go over whatever or Hey. listen they run this crazy front or all. the Exotics let's go over all the. Exotics so we're all on the same page. cuz Five Guys on the same page are huge. when it comes to Sunday and so those. things are big you they can give you the. game plan but you're the one out there. on the field I love when coaches say. that because it's like hey I can give. you all this but if this doesn't make. sense you're the ones out there on the. field you got to make make sense for. y'all yeah cuz the messaging coming from. player is going to be a little different. from a coach potentially unless is. Tomlin tomlin's got a.

great what is that diction I guess has. great diction the P the amount of words. and the words that he uses but the way. he talks is you can see why everybody. everybody talk isms yeah he's and he's. also talking there he is him just. popping open at Fredo's bag was one of. the coolest legs right up on the desk. what are we thinking here and we're. eating Fredo he's listening taking. advice this is my thoughts it's not my. thoughts it was he said uh he said it. could be a problem in the red zone or.

Thanksgiving together it's like he. really has been there forever and they. went all the way back when he was in. assistant with Philly they went through. that and him getting hired like that was. so cool but I I wasn't sure if you guys. did pick up on it and it didn't really. hit it all Harbaugh being cold outside a. thing yeah yeah Special Teams. coordinator said I I would give you my. jacket I would have let you know I'll. give my shirt off the back give my hat. whatever you need of course you I'm good. I'm layered up I'm lay up I'm layered up. right now yeah the the building over. there unbelievable that's it looks.

beautiful it is a it's a castle it is an. absolute Castle it looks like like a. country club yeah they got a little. putting green out front I mean under. arour names on it so they put all the. money into it it's crazy and that's just. been the facility that's just what it is. that is so cool so cool by far the. coolest aerial shot of any of the. facility and no no offense to Steelers I. think they're splitting that team. meeting room into two meeting rooms. right whenever looks like it when that's. not a team meeting so that's a that. that's a whole different team meeting. room when I was there it's even bigger. and better looking so I don't know I.

don't it looks awesome because the. Steelers facility is split with the pit. Panthers y now granted it's a big. facility and there are two clear. facilities but this still split facility. with the University of Pittsburg so I I. do wonder if we're going to get more. glimpses into all of it to Connor's. point though I don't know if you guys. saw it I don't think it was a part of. this it was a miked up maybe a couple. weeks ago but there was one the Steelers. played the Ravens Tomlin and Harbaugh. were like man we've been doing a lot of. these you know I remember when we first. talked we were talking about what our. kids were wearing for Halloween and now. they're going to college and like that's.

pretty cool they've been going against. each other for almost 20 years now yeah. and that's AFC North football there to. uh the 17 years was a senior athletic. trainer I believe yes I believe it was. uh I think if I do remember reading the. thing right all right let's get back to. college ball here we've made a man wait. way too long and we do apologize this. guy's electrifying the man this man was. a head coach uh for a long time in es at. Mississippi State then in Florida then. he goes on TV and becomes a college. football pun funed for ESPN and I'll. tell you what home run after home run.

especially last week can't wait to hear. his thoughts ladies and gentlemen coach. Dan. M coach all right y'all yall have me. sold on Hard Knock I didn't watch it. last night but now I'm sold on Watching. Hey listen coach I I don't know what. your team meetings were like I don't. know what your messaging was like I. don't know what your building was like. but for Hard Knocks for us to get a. chance to go inside of like tomlin's. building and like just catch the vibe. that it is and then John Harbaugh. obviously for how long he's been in. Baltimore and kind of see it I love it I. love that type of I really do enjoy.

I wish I could have got a glimpse into. your building coach oh they we did it. one time we did like a Hard Knock they. did like a pre like a for one of the. games but they in the SEC it was uh HBO. did it in that whole setup a couple. years ago they picked four college teams. we jumped on and did it for a game it. was a lot of fun but I'm telling you if. you guys haven't done it when you're. doing that like I'm like hey I got to go. like you know I mean they're following. you like they're at the house in the. morning getting in the car with you and. there's one time like hey like all right. where you going coach where I'm like I'm. going to the bathroom is can I just get.

like 30 seconds to the bathroom can I. turn the mic off for a second I mean. they get everything that you're doing on. film and um you know that mic game day. hot mic like when you're on the coach's. headsets yeah the stuff that gets said. on there my goodness I don't know that. you want everybody hearing all that yeah. and that's why NFL films that's why NFL. films I think is involved in everything. with the NFL stuff that the Vault of. that they have. of horrendous things being said about.

them people say Jay Edgar Hoover didn't. have that much information yeah I think. that Vault that NFL films Vault I assume. has so much stuff it's why a lot of. people don't get miked up it's like I'm. not no way because you talk on your. coach let's say your coach you know with. your teammates this guy's got to be the. biggest dumbest guy on in the. moment you know and then after the game. it's like oh no okay so now whose NFL. films whose side are they on you. know you know that happens all the time.

right I mean like but those are. confrontations that you guys know when. you play I mean there is some of this. that goes off you're playing oh yeah and. if the public looks and says boy I mean. that's what they must hate each other. there's a battle now it's just two. competitive guys going after each other. you know during the Heat of the Moment. yeah we have to do that every on Mondays. whenever there's a fight on the sideline. on the NFL it's like these guys settle. their differences they moved along but. the m stuff is crazy I hope you had a. strong stream every time they had you on.

you know cuz I don't want them to judge. you too much in the entirety of it all. but let's talk let's talk about last. night shall we coach hey Alabama in. Miami Old Miss South Carolina out if. Clemson beats SMU for the ACC. Championship which I think dbo is. expecting to do Does SMU stay in and. Alabama get bumped out what are your. thoughts after last night what's your. first big takeaway and how do you feel. well you know what the hardest one for. me in looking at of at all is you have. no idea if you're in college football.

what the criteria to make the playoffs. is it not only changes from year to year. it kind of changes almost from week to. week y now look looking into it I would. have go Miami above Alabama that that. would be me on the outside but when I. really dig into it then I'd be a. hypocrite because to me winning has. always been the most important thing. winning is not as important hey don't. tell me about your great loss tell me. about winning winning is what matters. anybody can go lose I mean right but.

it's hard to win and when you look at it. and you go really break it down Alabama. has better wins than Miami they also. have worse losses. so I in the big picture for me in my gut. I would have gone Miami over Alabama but. then I'd be a hypocrite talking about. how winning is the most important thing. because if you compare the wins Alabama. has what better wins if you compare the. losses Alabama has worse loss. so which one do you really go about and. where's the criteria now and then.

football judgment as well I'll go I'll. go ballistic if SFU drops out with a. loss playing right because now if you. want to talk strength of schedule doing. extra things you should never be. punished for playing a championship you. hey you get to go play a championship. team this other game team sits at home. well we're going to reward this team. sitting at home you know that's not. right at all and how about they've been. trying to put emphasis on conference. championships you know like that's been.

a big part of the discussion is like. that's why the first round buy happens. cuz we want championships to still. matter in college ball now this has that. happened with this current setup because. you don't get a home game and it appears. as if number five would be the spot that. everybody should be trying to eye. because you get a home game and you get. the lowest ranked Champion that still. exists and the lowest rank team that. gets into college ball to make it to the. semifinal so if SMU was to lose in a. four Conference Championship and they. get booted out that would directly.

contradict what they were trying to put. an emphasis on but with that being said. do you bump Alabama out because they got. three losses well Georgia might have. three losses by the end of the weekend. as well Alabama beat Georgia so who is. the three loss SEC team that gets bumped. out and does Old Miss in South Carolina. get back there's just so much still. you know coach so much it it goes. It Go it goes crazy and then you're. looking at the Texas well I get back. well winning is important when you're.

judging Alabama okay well Texas and Penn. State I'm still kind of I mean I'll even. give Penn State Credit I think they have. a win over Illinois right I mean like. they at least they have a qual one top. 25 win where's Texas's good win in all. of this and you know so it kind of they. they keep changing their oh is it the. record oh is it the wins oh is it. head-to-head when does head-to-head. matter when does it don't you know I. don't know but college football has. always right I mean you go back to the.

the old days right I mean you had hey. everyone's just going to go to bowl. games and then a bunch of people vote. after the bowl games then they said we. want to go to like all right well we got. to have the two best teams play each. other the computers are figured out well. that's not the right way to do it the. computers can't figure it out let's get. a group of people to vote on it with. four teams ah they can't figure it out. we need to go to 12 well now like well. who's who's in who's out I don't know it. it's you know there there's I don't know. if there's a great way to do it unless. you just blow up the system and start. from scratch no 64 team need 64 team.

tournament just like it's March Madness. then then people would be pissed off. about the seating and who gets the. easiest Road I mean it's a it's a. NeverEnding conversation which is good. still but it's still the greatest thing. every Saturday right I mean it is still. the most passionate craziest I mean you. get to see it every week with game day. so lucky I I will say this I me and I've. got gotten you know to go to NFL games. now and NFL games are awesome and is the. highest level of football and the crowds. are great and the fan B but it's not.

like a college campus on a Saturday I. mean it's like life and death every. single Saturday on a college campus not. all of them which would go back to the. conversation about the SEC and other. conferences and everything like that. because it does feel as if there is more. of a uh this is our religion feel at. more schools at the SEC and that's been. explained numerous times because they. didn't have any professional sports so. literally their college teams were their. only one and only when in other places. there's NFL football that might drag a.

little bit of attention away and. everything like that so I concur with. the passion the environment I think we. talked about this uh gumps and I talked. about this I think college football. better show I think like when you're. watching it better show like I I think. the show is better obviously football in. the NFL is the All-Star games of all the. All-Star games of all the All-Star games. whenever you talk on the field but. college ball the passion and the reason. why there are so many people pissed off. is why college ball is so electrifying. and uh those home field advantages that.

first round I'm excited for people that. don't know college ball to get a nice OD. of college ball for the biggest game of. the season it's going to be awesome. especially with the way it's set up. right now South vers North North vers. South desert vers Hills I mean it is we. got real clashes taking place with that. being said let's go a hammer he ptone. has a question for you yeah coach you. talked about SMU and not punishing them. for a loss in the title game or yeah in. the title game and I and I I agree with. you there what about Penn State and.

Georgia like how far let's say Penn. State loses to Oregon and Georgia loses. to Texas do like does Penn State fall. behind Ohio State and Tennessee like how. how much can you can you punish uh let's. just say hypothetical Penn State in. Georgia if they lose well I think it is. it gets interesting because the argument. comes you're not going to kick Penn. State let's start with Penn State you're. not kicking Penn State out of the. playoffs with a loss they're still going. to be in so now it gets to the the. seaing and now you're dropping them to a. point where they're head-to-head now.

going against Ohio State and if you go. head-to-head against Ohio State now do. you rerank well they won head-to-head I. that's a really interesting one to me. you know the the Georgia dropping. down um again I don't think Georgia. should be punished and kicked out of the. playoffs with a loss but if all of a. sudden they drop down and start getting. close to Alabama then where does. head-to-head come back in because then. you start making the argument of well on.

the field here's Georgia and we have. them ranked right next to Alabama who. they lost to Old Miss who they lost to. why play the games you know then then. why are we playing the games and it it's. just becomes a never ending headache. maybe for the committee at that point. and I do I listen I I to say they don't. do it I to sit there if you're going to. put if if all of a sudden George is. going to drop with a loss. and they get hugged up against Alabama. and Old Miss.

somehow I think they're gonna have to. find a buffer team in between them to. say oh look they weren't right next to. him so George is in automatically. because if you put them right next to. Alabama no they don't think like that. they don't think remember hard not to. drop them below them remember they don't. they don't do that they don't move seeds. for anything this is our this is our. ranking this is our seeding you know. because like last week or two weeks ago. it had like two big 10 teams playing. each other two SEC teams playing each. other and we're like that can't happen. that that that cannot that cannot happen.

and you're like well they're not they. say they're not going to be changing. their seating to make sure we have. better games it's like do though yeah. make sure make sure you do that listen I. want an a I mean a playoff game you're. think of playoff games potentially at at. Penn State right in Happy Valley that. atmosphere is big no kick up there on. ESPN play I don't see it at noon I want. that one okay I I know would be like hey.

Penn State you guys are used to this. let's make sure we let's do the noon. kickoff give me that afternoon game in. South Ben Indiana I mean like just you. know what let's also if we can keep some. tradition let's like plug some people in. different times right I I mean if Penn. State has a home playoff game are they. Whiting it out at better unreal. oh didn't say it wow all right he knows.

they're not real okay let's get off the. college football playoff cuz we only. have uh a few minutes left and it's our. fault because the Hard Knock thing that. we got into and I am happy to hear that. you're going to watch it it'll be good. it'll be good but speaking of coaching. you know you're a damn good one uh debut. has a question for you you are a damn. good coach killing on TV as well but uh. from the outside look it in you got two. big job openings now UNCC down in the. ACC and then WVU in the Big 12 what uh. in your opinion is the better job.

opening and obviously if you're taking. that job you're thinking about the. pathway to the playoffs as well so. what's the better job opening your. opinion boy that's a tough call because. I think we you said the key thing which. is what's your path to the playoff of. both jobs and I think both of them had. the opportunity to be Premier jobs. within their conference uh I you would. think historically you know I I think on. the outside looking in you definitely. say hey North Car Carolina you know I. mean the Tar Heels the power the one.

thing that that's always interesting in. Carolina there's so many division one. schools in that state you're competing. for all that instate Talent now you are. you are the flagship of the state right. um and you have that basketball passion. you know you know West Virginia has won. a lot I mean I I've seen West Virginia. ranked number one in the country before. I've seen West Virginia have the. opportunity right to be up there they. have some Glory Days where they go and. compete for championships and have a. bunch of NFL fans I players I know they. got a passionate fan base so I mean and.

and there's no reason they can't go. compete for that big 12 title really. quick so I think they're both I think. when people look at jobs and when you. look and you want to compare them you. say where is our job in today's world. where are we in comparison to everyone. in our conference because if we win our. conference we get that automatic bid to. the playoffs and that's how you judge it. not compared to every other job in the. country where are we in our our. conference and I think both of them. should be te schools that compete for.

conference championships on a regular. basis okay Coach uh I really you looking. to get back into coaching by the way I. can make a call are you are you trying. to get me out of TV I love this TV like. look you see how relaxed we are on TV. we're talking having a good time having. fun you know when you're coach it's. signing day today I mean it is the most. stressful day right I mean Signing Day. is like you'd have I mean we'd have. champagne in the office popping like a. kid signs and you're like popping. champagne I mean flips and goes. somewhere else no one slept in college.

football I mean right I mean I I've been. on the phone at you know last night I. mean there whatever I mean Sonic day. keeps changing it states but there are I. I don't know if I can find a signing day. where I wasn't on the phone at 3 o'clock. in the morning the night before right I. mean you are on the phone the entire. night you're either trying to hold on. you're trying to flip guys you're. messing with it's why you're 17 years. old but literally my family's. life depends.

on I need that there's never been a. truer statement right college coaches. you're sitting there saying my life. depends on a 17y old what you said. though there about being able to win you. know your conference to get to the. college football playoff and I assume. there's going to be a bunch of bonuses. at both of those schools in the. contracts to be able to do as such. there's a lot and obviously I'm right in. the middle of it I'm lucky to be and I'm. thankful to be this West Virginia job. there is a a lot of people interested. and I I like I think it's because of. what you're saying like everybody I talk.

to is like big 12 has basically. automatic bid and you look at what. Arizona State's been able to do pretty. quickly and Kenny Dillingham and then. you look at where the conference ended. up with the amount of parody and where. it's at right now and it's like uh West. Virginia you're the only only team in. the state you know so it is like a sec. feel an SEC Vibe where this is our. professional team everybody travels to. Morgantown for those games hundreds of. thousands of people in a city that is. built for 10,000 30,000 people every. single weekend they fill that place up.

even when the team's mediocre you know. and uh I it feels like a lot of people. understand that from who I've been. talking to I've only talked to seven. coaching candidates that would like for. me to put my voice behind them but it is. like every time I I take it as an. opportunity to ask like why and what and. everything like that and then I call Ren. Baker immediately and I tell him uh I'm. happy I'm not you brother uh cuz I have. no idea I have no idea how you're going. to pick this but he has gotten it right. with everything that he has had to do.

thus far at West Virginia and you look. at all the sports around West Virginia. men's basketball good women's basketball. good men's soccer good women's soccer. good if this football team Rifle Team. best in the world basball baseball team. makes it makes it to Omaha I believe. whatever the is there it is Boom so. it's like if he get if he gets this. football one right it's like Ren Baker. 46 years old I think is an ad I got. faith than this guy but I'm happy I. don't have to make the decision he's. making right now big big you you would.

know this uh you would know this better. than everybody like I in the coaching. World coaches all you know they talk. like we have your special fraternity. I've never heard a coach that said they. didn't enjoy living in in Morgantown. West Virginia you know they enjoyed like. I like people blow their mind every. coach I've coached loved living in. Starkville Mississippi I mean my family. my kids were born there everyone it's. like Starkville Mississippi I'm like. great family place we love to live in. there everyone loved living there and. Hills but you can there's golf course. there's nice golf courses nice for like. four season nice how much are you know. college coaches have time to golf. anyways exactly we need we need somebody. that understands though West Virginia. people want a tough team they want a. tough team you can't be soft and. represent the state of West Virginia and. I think that is a very real thing I. think Ren understands that I got full. faith in him but hey if you want to. stress your life out again love to have.

is playing phenomenal football just. because it didn't work out in one spot. doesn't mean it's not working out in. another Shawn Payton clearly had his. eyes on a different quarterback he goes. out in the draft and he gets bow Knicks. and B starts out maybe a little shaky. but now is playing some really good. football and that's an example of just. developing and knowing what you want. giving the guy an opportunity. surrounding him with good pieces and. he's having a chance of success that's. what we talk about in the NFL with all. these things the Bryce young situation. in the Carolina you put him in right.

away you want him to be an All-Star you. want him to be a pro bowler his rookie. year he not you bench him you sit him. down people are asking is he ever going. to play for the Panthers again should. they trade him comes back out now he's. playing great football the NFL is all. about the right situation it's about. developing players we continue to forget. that you're supposed to develop players. I'm I'm much more loose with things and. just trying I look at nutrition over the. course of a week as opposed to a course. of the day so as long as I'm on track. for my entire week I'm okay if I have a. cheat meal here if I lose it a little. bit there I just get back on track over. the course of the week okay so uh one.

cheat meal a week two cheat meals a. week generally yeah like legit ones yeah. like. dinner I love breakfast food breakfast. is my favorite food by far so if if I. can I prefer breakfast last night what'. you do you were about to say and I. caught you last night we were at we we. went to right before Wicked we went to. Friday night down in College Station. real nice place I walked in there with. two styrofoam cups that I got from the. previous store and uh like as soon as we. get there they were very kind very. quickly they knew who we where we headed. and who we were and everything soon as I. walk in with this cup had a little. little sweet thing some vitamins in. there you know so uh I walk in and the. guy goes I will take your cup and I said. no you won't and then uh we just like.

continued to walk right in I knew that. the P I felt so bad because it was such. a nice place as we were walking I didn't. know what we were walking into then as. soon as we take like four steps into the. restaurant it's like oh this is like. white. tablecloth this is one of the nicest. places I've ever had or been into in my. entire life and obviously we go up to to. a play so I Chuck it as quickly as. possible like I'm so you know try not to. make an assho of myself too much more. here but then I looked at the menu and. it was just like a much nicer much more.

expensive wagu having Texas Roadhouse I. mean you're talking about what was with. some butter options uh country fried. steak ordered that had that in there. obviously there was some prime rib they. had some uh they had some this wagu. thing that was just like but it felt. like I was like oh this is Texas Road. I'm out of Texas Road that is just oh. we're in Texas oh I'm at a Texas. Steakhouse I think what Texas Roadhouse. has done with Texas Steakhouse. phenomenal job I've been going through. it my whole life will never stop I'm. happy to hear that you do the same damn.

thing I love it they used to be Reckless. with the peanuts loved it loved it what. do you mean reck th on the ground shells. on the ground have anym Co it was. Reckless I peanut I mean it for sure was. peanut allergies but there was nothing. better than taking two handfuls of. peanuts eating one of them and be like. you know what I'm going to throw the. rest of these on the ground and smash. them it was awesome the bucket that's. why you. so they don't do that anymore no because. I I I didn't even think about the peanut. allergies that are. potentially but the servers walko that. too maybe trying to get a guy peanuts on.

wood you know the that's like a banana. PE actually in this new America we're. bringing back the peanuts on the ground. if you got a peanut allergy don't go. okay okay well boom door Dash I think I. have to wear cleats in there I think you. think it become a I think that's what. started happening I believe my family. was actually at a Texas Roadhouse. birthday like near the end of the peanut. situation and saw somebody yeah I think. it was like an eight Drinker too like. out of a movie like turn the corner pile.

of peanuts wasn't ours could have been. certainly could have been wasn't ours. thank God he was encouraged yeah I but. not the I think that's they didn't think. about of course but it's like you. weren't a bad guy I wasn't a bad guy. eating two peanuts and being like you. know what it I got 10 minutes until. my food's going to get here I'm going to. the rest of these peanuts on the ground. and I'm going to smash them all this. created a tripping Hazard for some. guests okay which I think is uh. potentially what they're talking about. causing Texas Roadhouse to receive. multiple lawsuits oh yeah I didn't think. about the customer slipping turning the.

corner oh. my spine spot uh but also there's uh. peanuts are also dangerous for those. with allergies you know and although the. chain often Place warning signs outside. of its restaurant some people just. didn't get the hint that they were. walking into a peanut Zoo yeah there's. going to be crushed peanuts there's. going to be fresh peanuts there's going. to be old peanuts there's going to be. new peanuts everywhere Texas Road House. was like we don't care I was on an. airplane one time and he said nobody was.

allowed to open any. snacks don't open any snacks we just. found out somebody has a peanut allergy. on here it's very devastating and I was. like God damn the whole plane I can't. even could you imagine having that that. would suck so bad to the bathro G to say. what was that's what basically what they. were in gets in the air for some people. kids deal with yeah believe me kids yeah. they different tables school snack. my son School sent a message saying you. can't your kids shouldn't eat peanut. butter before coming to school because. they had a kid that was that like I was.

like wait a second he can't eat it. himself it was nuts yeah it was that's. scary that plane thing was uh that that. was alarming cuz boy I had a great great. Trail bck I picked it out from the store. yeah right as I'm getting on the plane I. felt so smart forward thinking thinking. about future me I'm going to stop by. over here grab this beautiful bagat. trail mix I mean it had enough Sweetness. in there what you need and then enough. salty stuff in there and then there were. certainly some peanut M&M's in there and.

peanuts themselves how long ago was this. I mean commercial flight this is like 15. years ago Pat Mac H amen hopefully never. again but anyways I was bummed out and. then I was scared to death that a baby a. child of mine might have you didn't put. him in your bag and eat them out of your. bag or anything no I actually put it. away I was like I'll be a eater on here. okay they didn't let me sit on the exit. row but. I will be a leader on this flight and I. put him away I did but I had a lot of. questions obviously and the flight. attendant had all of a sudden become an. expert on this matter and they did they. told me yeah sometimes it gets in the.

air and since you know an airplane. circulated air it's all the same air it. could hait anybody at any time so we're. just asking people not to because you. never know when you guys sit on the jet. who who is what role is is somebody get. up too often does somebody eat too much. does somebody sleep loud what do we got. Foxy's a booze bag every time he gets on. he uh makes himself like four drinks. same with Tai Tai has to do it to get. through the flight yep I think that is. really the only big takeaways uh Gumpy. Gumpy was uh pulled from speaker control.

uh but then he was placed back on. speaker control so I think yeah. everybody's kind of we kind of just all. kind of get in where we fit in am I. still only one to ever take a on. the flight no remember. talk first flight talks first ride B. piece nice bathroom back here I didn't. know there was G to be so much privacy. all right uh what about you Jade you. struggle you struggle with the flight. sty uh no not not so much anymore cuz. we've done it so often but I just like. there were a couple times there when.

like early on when we were flying to. like New York especially every single. weekend and be like we're taking off and. it's just like you know the the pilots. would be like hey we got real bad. weather in New York so just kind of. brace for that strap in and it just the. turbulence and it delivered and it. always delivered always they were like. Jo dardo with their predictions yeah. legit so but anymore not so once we got. the bigger planes like you don't have to. be worry about that as much legitimately. how about that that one plane was we'll. never get back on it to Ireland uh the.

one up in oh dber Connecticut oh my God. never get back on that plane ever again. that was insane night we had to find. another plane in a in like a very quick. we got off plane said we are never. getting back on that play Tony actually. kissed the floor when we landed yeah he. did the Pope the pope thing kissed the. ground whenever we got there just what. happened we don't know who was in charge. of said plane yeah I mean we could see. who it was but we don't know how that. person was in it corpse it was very. Breezy it was very very windy windy. windy windy Northeast is always very.

Indy anytime you fly near the coast too. always going to catch you know something. going in so there's always going to be. up there but as we're taking off. almost driving off runway as taking off. so that automatically starts a little. anxiety you know like we can't even get. down a Runway the runway is very very. large so we're almost going an off. runway then we get up in the sky and. then we're battling I mean it is uh and. we're taking we're. doing to get up to an altitude but we're. coming down quickly too because we're.

only going up to Connecticut but we. couldn't drive because the situation it. it was a whole nightmare of situation. the whole flight was a nightmare. like the whole thing was just bum bum. bum bum bum and then we come in for. landing and obviously this guy wants to. beat the hell out of the ground you know. so bang we're going sh way we're going. through the ground yeah and his hands. like he looks nervous up there you know. like Mike McDaniel with that thing that. got blown but saying he looks like he. was shivering his hisy so we we. literally that's the first time ever we. looked I looked at the pilots and go. never again thank you and got off the. plane and we never steep foot back on.

that we I would have stayed in. Connecticut for a week instead of. getting back on that particular plane. but I don't do well with planes either I. don't and I'm on them a lot and every. single time it's like a. hey let's do it every single. time and then Gump is always haha lad we. get some music it's uh it's good vibes I. also don't appreciate like we'll get the. pilots every once in a while who like. all of a sudden we we'll change like. 6,000 ft in elevation it feels like. you're literally just nose down like oh.

you felt that one a little bit back. there huh okay well now we're good now. it's like that was an issue a lot of. these Pilots they thought we were zany. they thought we were zany you know so. they're trying to impress us we're. pulling 10 G's on takeoff to get. up to 40,000 ft it's like hey we don't. need the show all good. this is not play time this is you just. this is a Cadillac just roll this sucker. nice and easy yeah and I I don't know. how this is happening either this plane. is way too big why are we flying at. 40,000 fet at this speed I have no idea.

but let's just make sure we don't get. any and then every pilot breaks down to. me like well turbulence is actually a. good thing because that means that the. wind is actually catching your plane and. uh so whenever you feel turbulence you. should be more comfortable than. uncomfortable it's like well I want to. let you know when I'm popping out of my. seat yeah I've never been more. uncomfortable in my life I've recorded. so many videos for my wife and daughter. and family and everybody just because of. like some turbulence all right this. might be it I uh I love you guys and. then it Smooths out it's turn that off.

Way the Patriot Way the Patriot Way I've. never used that term in my entire life I. think when people say it I'm always like. what's the Patriot way it sounds like. the title of a book I think what we. tried to do was we tried to do things. the right way I think we tried to.

practice the right way and prepare the. right way what happened on Game day was. ultimately a reflection of what we. practiced and I thought we had great. leadership from our coaches and it. filtered down to the guys who really. drove the culture we had so many guys. that I played with over the course of a. lot of years that really understood that. okay I'm going to care about my. teammates and I'm going to care about. helping the team win there's a guy on. our show who is Die Hard Patriot fan. Boston Connor has a question for you. yeah Tommy I have to's up Boston I have. to start and just say thank you you know. uh my whole life has been incredible. because of the fact that you have won.

the Carolina Panthers who he was traded. from the Pittsburgh Steelers to the. Panthers now he's at the Ravens the. Ravens are suspending him for one game. conduct detrimental of the team Now that. statement right there conduct detriment. on the team can be utilized in a lot of. different Fashions uh you can you can. use against somebody for a tweet that. they put out for instance you can get. fin conduct detrimental to the team for. a tweet that you put out that nothing to. do with anything but it was certainly. detrimental to the team if you were look. at it as a detriment to the team so this.

Johnson suspension stemm from the wide. receiver refusing to enter Sunday's game. against the Eagles now I think Harbaugh. was asked about it and he like gave like. a nondescript answer now they're. suspending him for a game I wonder if. they're just going to release him or how.

this ends up remember he came in middle. of the season for them AJ haven't seen. this in a while the the suspend a player. because we don't like what you're doing. uh this public situation especially on. this good of a team you know the. Baltimore Ravens yeah I mean it's uh. coaches want to set the tone I think and. let people know like not let things slip. through and not let guys get away with. stuff that may uh you know on other. lesser teams or teams with less wins may. not happen so I don't know exactly what. happened but why would he why did he. refuse to go back in or why are they. saying he did that I don't know dbut. have you ever heard of a player doing.

I've never oh yeah I've heard of people. doing it like you know trying to get if. somebody feels disrespect like you're. putting him in in garbage time it wasn't. a garbage time situation in this game. this was a game where obviously Lamar. had to pass so you would think it would. be opportunities for him to catch the. ball he hasn't really had any production. since coming over to Baltimore so maybe. he's just FR frustrated with his role. all together but definitely not a good. look for him especially if you're. expecting him to go into you know free. agency or something next season yeah and. a team that wanted him like traded for. him like this was their move at the. deadline or before the deadline to add.

to their wide receiver room like why. what was it 22 different Personnel. groups a few weeks back and then we all. assumed because they had him go in. motion remember he wed like a little. first week he won a little iand motion. down there in the red zone and then. nothing really came of it you coached. obviously uh I believe you were there. when a player refused to go I was there. when a player decided to just exit the. stadium respectfully little different. respectfully same same thing driver. waiting for him yeah Danny Boy Hustle. uhhuh got award season coming up for ab. you're what midc quarter and you haven't. seen the field yet and then then maybe. now I'm like stewing I'm walking back. and forth and got it got it maybe blows. up I think probably would be more. realistic you think the he was maybe. supposed to go in on a couple things. they hold him out instead yeah and then. as it continues to boil over you get you. know yeah no I'm not doing it that's. potentially what took place that's what. I would assume because like typically. like you know your first 15 people don't. realize it's like you scripped your. first 15 but that can go you can go off. course Very quickly like your first two.

plays go minus one and nothing now. you're third and 10 that third play is. not getting called and you're completely. off script and when there was a plan for. something plan changes immediately. immediately hey we hope you figure it. out yeah cuz they went up n nothing the. ra. that jumped out early it was working. yeah so maybe it was but same thing it. could like you know you might think. you're going to go to a run on play. three but you hit two big chunks off one. and two right now we're just now we're. rolling now we just start hold on we. figured out cuz normally the first 15 is.

trying to figure out what they're going. to do to you right yeah typically and a. lot of what a lot of people do is that's. where you get all your different. Personnel groups you try and put as many. personnel group empty get the empty. check all that stuff try and see what. the defense and how they're going to. match you and do all that stuff what's. their plan for whenever we do this let's. find it out as quick as possible but if. you're having success on a couple things. like oh wait we can we just go this is. we found it we don't need to figure out. anything else but because they didn't. maybe that's why Philadelphia was able. to get back in you know which I think is. going to be a part of this conversation. ladies and gentlemen we've been doing. this every week and it's been amazing.

it's been fun to dive into this guy's. mind truly now he's got rocks for brains. for most things but whenever it comes to. football is certainly worthy of being. listened to let's do our top three. takeaways from week 13 from AQ Shipley's. point of view AQ your first one you say. young B Nick. NOS young B Nick NOS the old take on B. no shout out what do you believe in. young Bo knan yeah I think he's become. one of the better quarterbacks in the. league and he has entered the Rookie of.

the Year conversation in my opinion take. a look here we get Jordan Hicks walked. up over the center this is a big time. play he trusts the protection Fades away. and puts it in a spot to courland Sutton. now if he puts out on his front shoulder. obviously it could be a little bit. better yeah but he's fad away trusted. the protection moves away moves in the. pocket and trusts it that's what I like. to see you're a big fan of him huh I'm a. huge fan you're going to see couple more. throws that he does that is unbelievable. let's take a look at this one backed up. in his own own End Zone rolls out to the. right trust the protection again watch.

this one over top of Jordan Hicks. courand Sutton again 30 yard gain that. was on a rope laser that was on an. absolute rope risky I mean this could. have been picked I mean plus rolling out. your own End Zone maybe not the smartest. of ideas you can get a holding call a. lot of things they trust everything. they're doing everything scheming fit is. everything with this guy 62 220 lot of. football yeah has played a lot of. football and it feels like he's only. getting more and more comfortable in. best quarterback in the draft this was. their guy he was exactly what he was. looking for whenever R took the Broncos. job and he had Russell Wilson There He. was like maybe Russell was B Knicks you. know like he's looking for what 62 220. what is he able to move able to run yep. cheap young accurate an can sling loves. ball accurate loves ball like yep I. think that was what he envisioned so. whenever I think Russell Wilson he had. no chance no I think going in Shawn pton. told the Walton family which I just saw. one of the uh Walmart families they got.

a $300 million yacht popped up on my. Instagram but that thing's nice oh my. God good for them think about that just. because somebody in your family thought. you know what we need to be charging for. space in the store not what's actually. in the store that's right and then we're. just going to have all of them they have. all the money in the world everything. they're the richest owners in sport so. Shawn pton can have whatever amount of. money he needs for a coaching staff. which is obviously worked out with Vance. on the defensive side and everything. that they have cooking in there but also. for them to say yeah we'll just eat. however much money we firmly believe in.

whatever you want to do and they kind of. just handed the reain seemingly to Shawn. Payton and last year obviously what a. nightmare situation this wow this is. embarrassing the game's passed him by. and then he gets like the guy he wants. and then this year it's just gotten. better and better and better and better. every week gu's gonna win the Rookie of. the Year he uses the screen game more. than anybody else in the league and that. has only made this guy more comfortable. Jaden Daniels obviously early front. runner for offensive Rookie of the Year. especially with how the commanders have. done wild and awesome change how does. the end of this season go we shall see.

how it all goes there's still a lot of. football left Brock bers is leading the. NFL as a tight end in a lot of things. he's certainly phenomenal B Knicks. though his name has come into the. offensive Rookie of the Year. conversation as of like what the last. five weeks let's go to a man who has an. a P vote who will be deciding offensive. rookie of the year one of I think 51. people let's go a. hammer tone is he obviously in the. offensive Rookie of the Year. conversation and how long's he been. there yeah it's those three and it's. been both Bose's jumped up in there for. over the last few weeks cuz Ian it was.

Jaden was running away with it for a. while and then he kind of cooled off. um well yeah but I mean I mean that's. part of cool enough um he still played. yeah he still played but bo bo over the. last month or so I think he won uh. rookie of the month last month but then. Brock I believe puka won it last year. and Brock is breaking all of Puka. records so it's going to be very. interesting coming down the stretch yeah. well and these Denver Broncos are in it. they're obviously holding a seven seed. right now they're in the AFC West that's.

a tough division going to be a tough. division for however long Patrick. Mahomes wants it to be an incredibly. tough division let alone Herbert and. Harbaugh over there but they're. currently in the Wild Card position with. a rookie quarterback and a $43 million. detriment or whatever to seller cap good. for them all right what's second talking. point AQ. Shipley jayen Carter the game record got. some stats on Jaylen Carter I 72 or 73. snaps this past weekend I think he's. played 84% of the snaps this season. which is fourth among D linan I think.

that also counts defensive ends he's out. there a lot he's wrecking games what. you're saying yeah he's been. unbelievable he's actually been in my. opinion the best player on the field. almost every single game he stepped into. and he is doing it in a multitude of. ways it's not always sad backs it's not. always pressures but in this first play. you're going to see this he reads the. screen both Center and guard both get. out Linder bomb All Pro toss him force. it back inside and that's how you make a. play and let your boys come and make a. play that's like dtac was supposed to do. eat up blocks it up Force things to go.

different directions due to Dirty Work. yeah but the the way that he just throws. Linder bomb and he'll do it again here. in a couple plays is insane Linder bomb. is one of the best players in football. one of the best centers in football and. check this one out here he is over F. lelay on the right boom rips inside. causes a pressure backed up in their own. End Zone yeah okay it's a 5 yard game. but it makes Lamar uncomfortable in the. pocket gets a hit on the quarterback. it's a pressure it's the face who on. whoever's trying to block Jaylen Carter. look at this guy oh R face mask do.

that's down there in their own ends not. going to call ripping his face mask off. AB that's a safety 72 of 73 72 of 73. stamps they got about sick of this guy. that's right this guy need to take a. break some point well on this next play. Lamar Jackson one of the most. electrifying players in football right. should be able to run away from. everybody not this 320 lb D tackle. reading him boom get his legs that's a. sack tries to get away knee was down. that's a sack sack and Lamar not easy at. all there's a couple different times. he's chased him down isn't it oh yeah.

and there was another one yeah we I. showed it to you off a but he's rolling. out to the right and again he is running. step for step with Lamar Jackson it's. insane what a beast got a great feel for. the game and this last one just watch. what he does to Linder bomb here watch. this swim oh boom head head shot and. then his other and then his buddy gets. the sack so just full chaos in the. middle of the pocket he is just wrecking. games from the interior of the pocket. every single game Mar almost stayed up. on that on that toss by by Nolan Smith. that's crazy now speaking of third.

takeaway from week 13 from AQ Shipley. says Lamar's mom knows ball what do you. mean by that AQ sh well we all saw the. press conference after and Lamar said he. got a text from his mom said hey we need. to run the ball more so let's take a. look at why I pulled three Clips these. are moments in the past where Lamar. pulls this thing down pause it right. there you see that lane you see anybody. that is where he takes off and gets you. at least 10 that is going to be at least. a first down but he's trying to let.

things progress almost throws the. interception run use your strengths you. are electrifying do what you do he said. he's trying to let plays develop though. like most quarterbacks do and if they're. protecting him well I think he feels. obligated to do as such but he say he's. going to get back to his mm he's. going to get back to his is what he. said and I'm excited to see that. because when he is running listen if the. first option maybe second option is. there throw it it's great if it's not. I'll take my chances he got say you can. outr run people how is he supposed to. get 60 yard plays if you don't let the.

play Dev going have to run that far yeah. you know have we seen that have we seen. Lamar run 60 60 yards remember the play. against Cleveland four or five years ago. listen I I want to see Lamar spin spin. spin see a 50 yards tou I want to see. Lamar run more too I think it is like a. very spectacular thing whenever he has. the ball in his hands yeah but I do. completely understand where he's like. well I'm supposed to be waiting for this. play and I'm being protected because. they don't want to rush me because of. who I am so I think he has his eyes. downfield instead of just back in the. day where he was looking to make the.

play so that's a tough thing to balance. I think for I think it's going to be a. tough thing for him to kind of figure. out what we would like to reiterate to. him is like when you're running with the. ball the more it's better than any yeah. the end anything else that's going to. happen anywhere you with the ball in. your is going to be better than whatever. the end of the game before the likely. last touchdown uh when it was to make it. 2419 he ran for like 60 or 50 yards and. it was unbelievable just to watch him do. that yeah and the other thing is. too they're normally protecting the hell. out of them they normally are this game.

they were not I mean listen these guys. right here wrecked I mean they were. getting after it I mean all game long. and they did a great job of trying to. see how they're trying to keep him in. the pocket and then never go past them. right they're trying to always keep him. there but in that instance I'm still. taking my chance with Lamar running. right down the middle of the field yeah. and he also what he got thinner right. this is the most so can't be taking too. many shots though here here's another. one here you're going to pull the guard. here pull the guard pull Mari right boom.

step back inside now you got back turned. you got man coverage air you got man. coverage air you tell me boys is he. getting something there yeah 53 and a. third probably yeah this is what this is. what Lamar's mom was talking about. that's exactly it just three clips she. AG she's a good Agent too know B she's a. good Agent all right we can't wait to. watch you on the other side of the buy. those are three good takeaways from make. Shipley AJ what are your thoughts on his. three takeaways pal I think Lamar is and. naturally as the season goes in the. games mean more and more he's going to. run when he needs to like he's going to. run more but it is you're right it's a.

weird balance like oh you can't stand. and throw from the pocket yes he proven. he can do everything we know that but I. think when the games are on the line. like when it's win or go home in the. playoffs those times like Lamar knows. when to pull it down I think Lamar also. wants to be like a point guard too you. know like yeah I would like to even said. like I want to set up my guy you know. like I want to trying to set up my guys. downfield so like I I get what he's. doing for sure but also see also Lam. more the reason why you're getting paid. more than everybody else on that team is. because you are a one1 bub is z yep.

can't wait to watch nobody nobody can. move like him and throw like nobody on. the planet whole Run Stop thing it's. like funny to think about but like he's. setting that up for like 20 yards as. he's eyeballing somebody and then doing. that's a professional athlete he's. routinely made professional athletes the. best athletes on earth look stupid at a. higher rate than anybody else him and. Tyreek I think are the two guys that. have just been the most dynamic with the. ball in their hands and I guess you can. put Turpin in there as of like the last. sure year or so but even like this the.

tpin of course but like the scale and. the amount of times Tyreek and Lamar. have like consistently every single game. when they get the ball it's like unmatch. we need put Lamar back here for the. kickoff return though I think not a bad. idea could you imagine him throw backs. too yeah every single time there's this. guy can throw the thing 70 mhm what a. stud okay speaking of studs who were the. top five performing offensive allines. out of week 13 of the NFL season let's. go in the trenches with AQ.

shiple who's the number five performing. offensive line from this past weekend. we're going to start with the Detroit. line wow go they moved back a little bit. this week they obviously had some issues. but they did have two running backs that. both ran for over 85 yards so uh pretty. damn good if you ask me let's take a. look at this we're going to run a simple. Zone to the left as we let this thing. roll Frank rag now gets this thing. started reach reach reach everybody. stretches everybody on the front side. then on the back side look at Su. make the hole it's called stretch and. then cut stretch and cut now in the old.

days it was cut because everybody cut. he's so damn good he just gets. underneath it and turns them and then. that's where the hole is you always get. the stretch get the running back's going. to take five steps and then make the cut. back and when he makes that cut back. he's got 10 yard of hole every single. week you turn this clip on AJ where's. the E flu's discipline on his defense. pal we not to ging at all we're all just. getting flushed let's all just get. flushed the down you can hear you. can literally hear the the coach and and.

then of course yeah we need one guy to. make a play and then they got no shot. why why did the line back there a guy. you got a man on man you got look at. that look at that picture right there. it's. unbelievable it too every week they have. something something like it yeah it's. every week Ben Johnson hey C how' you. feel about the pen reverse pass there I. loved it I loved I would have loved to. just seen him throw it regardless who. cares just throw it yeah but I then. instead we got. the on we got the stiff arm Five Guys I. obviously deep third down in the bottom. deep third in the middle and then deep. third up top with still it's a two by. two set you got a cut receiver at the. bottom and a uh tight end obviously. those two guys just stay in for prote so. you really only have a Twan route up top. the Deep free safety does a good job. leaning to that side where the two. receivers are and then just watch still. his vision is obviously running with. number one and seeing the number two. receiver almost through that number one. receiver baiting Kurt Cousins I think. into this throw as soon as he kind of. breaks that egg uh commits to that throw.

supposed to continue to run with that. deep post what a play all right let's go. back to great great play and now this is. a play kind of you pause it here not. just on uh tarhe still but on the. defense so fourth and five a lot of. times offens is going to expect manto. man coverage in this situation so Jesse. mentor's defense shows manto man almost. like a cover zero and then on the snap. they're going to drop out to a cover two. this cornerback at the bottom of the. screen he's going to go to the Deep half. the safety up top he's going to go to. his deep half and then tar Heep still is.

going to get to that flat opens up once. again reads the intention of the. quarterback playing the sticks you see. now they gave up a ton of yards. especially to Judy but late in the game. they made huge huge play early and late. in the game um once again another pick. six from jquan McMillan in the slot one. of my favorite slot Defenders uh. anticipating this route and once again. out routes you got to be on time you got. to be on target you got to throw it to a. place where my receiver's going to catch. it or it's going to hit an assistant. coach on the sideline great job by m. Millan catching it falling flat on his. back and then a lot of young players. he's he's played some years in his. League now but a lot of young rookie. players will probably not even know or.

like option on almost every play you got. one two three wide receivers and really. only two Defenders kind of within the. area you obviously have the Deep safety. there but nine times out of 10 this is a. third and two you have a run play called. and these receivers know at any point I. can just flick this ball out to that. number three receiver and number one and. number two you block as that Defender. out here is a cornerback you got to hold. the edge at minimum and if you do shoot. it and try to go inside you got to get. vertical immediately and still try to. keep that edge and make this tackle if.

you ever go inside like this you just. give up that clean Edge to the receiver. and you turn this into a touchdown the. bet you can probably Salvage this a. little bit make it a three four maybe. five yard gain but once you take that. chance to go inside and lose that. leverage you make it a touchdown but. this is what you see a lot especially. with veteran players because it's a run. play but at the same time I got numbers. out there just get it to one of my guys. in space this is better than a run play. uh on the inter all these guys think. it's a run right all it's a run now AQ. could tell you better how they call this.
