For real? Oh no. Let's go.
[ __ ]. TODAY.
RUNNING. >> You got it. >> In Berkeley, California. >> You got it. It is.
This one's for three. AJ Hawk. $5,000. HEY, HEY,
HEY. Put my hands up. Keep my hands up all. again now.
USA, USA, outside.
Come on in. Oh my god. a. up.
a.
The following program is a collection of. students talking about happenings in the. sports world. It is meant to be comedic, informative. The opinions expressed on. this show do not necessarily reflect the. beliefs of their peers, their boss, or. ESPN. There may be some cuss words. because that's how humans in the real. world talk. If you are a young, please. seek permission before watching any. further.
>> Hey, let's go. This show stinks and the fact that you. listen, we are very, very thankful. >> McAfee on the line with a gorgeous. assist. >> The alltime leading tackler for the. Green Bay Packers. You. stop. Damn it. >> Your friend, tell a friend something. nice could change their life. Hello beautiful people and welcome to.
our humble abode the draft kings. thundered up on this football kickoff. Thursday October 1st 2026 this program. begins now. >> football. Bruce is heading north of the stage you. did good back there obviously the man on. the ones and twos uh this week uh. because Evan Fox is celebrating the hell. out of life right now with his family is. Bruce Brown right next to him in the. back. Now would be a time to talk to.
yourself, Bruce. Y we we tried out a new. grip there and you know worse than ever. >> Did you try it before the show started? >> Yes, I did try before the show. >> You did a lot of reps in beforehand. Got. a lot on your plate. We appreciate the. hell out of you. You too, Mitt. The boys. in the back, Nick and Gumpy. Nick. Pittsburgh Steelers fan. He's obviously. excited for this evening as a brand new. era of Steelers football without a. Minecraft metropolis involved travels to. Cleveland to take on Todd Monkin,
Deshawn Watson in a winning Cleveland. Browns football team. Thursday night. football has been very good to the. Cleveland Browns, especially against the. Pittsburgh Steelers. Mike McCarthy. though, the head coach of the Pittsburgh. Steelers, he's 16 and six on Thursday. nights. That's a pretty good little stat. as well. Something has to give. Will Big. Mike and Aaron continue with what they. started this past weekend where they. were moving and cooking and executing. and had uh some plays that people are. saying, "Wait, Big Mike is a offensive.
football genius." And on the other side, Todd Monkin in his backwards hat has the. dog pound absolutely rolling, thinking. that they might be a great football team. with Deshaawn Watson winning for in 2026. for the first time since. >> is it 2009 maybe? 2008 maybe with how long ago he had been. playing great football and been able to. be healthy. So if the Cleveland Browns. and the Pittsburgh Steelers are the talk. of the town, especially in the AFC. North, which every team is above uh 500, I do believe. >> Yep. >> If Cleveland Browns football on Thursday.
night on prime smacks Mike McCarthy, Aaron Rodgers, and the Pittsburgh. Steelers in the face, you're going to. have a celebration on that lake like we. haven't seen in some time. maybe all the. way back to when Baker Mayfield came in. in his first appearance for the. Cleveland Browns and opened up the. cooler of Bud Light that was locked. until they had a win as he went crazy. This could be the launching of Todd. Monk, Deshawn Watson, the Cleveland. Browns being a brand new team as they. head into a brand new stadium here in.
the next few years. And then for the. Pittsburgh Steelers, they got olds. across the board. >> They got money invested everywhere. They. chose a head coach that could win right. now, not somebody that needs to rebuild. an entire new operation, a new. organization. And on that note, speaking. of new in the organization, there is no Porter a part of the. Pittsburgh Steelers at this moment. Wow. Last night, massive move was made. Joey. Porter Jr., son of Joey Porter Senior,
former Pittsburgh Steeler great and. Miami Dolphin great, was traded to the. Dallas Cowboys. Wow. Now, Joey Porter. Jr. joins George Pickkins, who got. traded from the Pittsburgh Steelers to. the Dallas Cowboys. And obviously, the. Dallas Cowboys now cooking. Joey Porter. Jr.'s agent, David Mulleetta, was uh. tasked with getting Joey Porter Jr. a. new deal this past off season. Those. negotiations did not bode any fruit, I. guess, is how you would describe it. Before the season started, the.
Pittsburgh Steelers came out and said, "As per, we have always operated. We. will not be negotiating any deals now. that season has started. Sorry about. it." Joey Porter Jr. then had to go out. on practice and do a little bit of. interviews and press conferences and he. came out and said, "I don't know if I'm. playing. That's for other people to. decide." Then he had a lingering injury, then he was out, then he was active, then he was full participant, then he. wasn't. Then he had a back injury. Boom. Now he's the Dallas Cowboy. Joey Porter. Jr. was never going to play for the. Pittsburgh Steelers this year. Pittsburgh Steelers, I think, probably.
realized that. Pittsburgh Steelers try. to figure out how the hell they can get. the best value for it. They get a sixth. and a second round pick from the Dallas. Cowboys. And now a defense that has. needed it. And a defense that maybe fits. Joey Porter Jr. a little bit more gets. him. And the Pittsburgh Steelers. continue to move on without the drama. that was happening potentially off the. field and in the locker room or on the. defensive side where we've heard other. defensive players come out in support of. Joey Porter Jr. getting his deal done. Let's go to one half of the hammer. Don. Cowboys AP Tone. Tone Pittsburgh Steeler.
fan. Joey Porter Jr. now a Dallas. Cowboy. Your thoughts on if this was. inevitable and how Yinszers feel. >> Yeah, it does feel it did feel. inevitable. Uh the longer it went on, especially after you talk about. everything you said was correct and. right, and you you talked about how they. don't negotiate during the season and. then this phantom back injury carries. on. I I mean, there's pros and cons for. both teams. like yes it trust me it. sucks to keep losing uh young players to. the Dallas Cowboys um and young good. players to the Dallas Cowboys with Joey. and George Pickkins in this situation.
Steelers fans uh in a general uh from. what I saw on Twitter very very mad at. Omar Khan for not being able to get this. done um you know there's a lot of talk. about not being able to pay young. players even though three players from. his draft class have already been paid. this off season you know so was it too. much money was he asking for too much. does he value himself too much Does his. agent value him too much? Did the. Steelers not value him enough? A lot of. questions in that part. But no, I mean, where I am personally as as a fan in. this situation, I was just happy for it. to have a res resolution no matter what.
that resolution was cuz I'm tired of. this [ __ ] and it's it's just the worst. Like we're in the middle of the season. Uh. >> trying to win a Super Bowl. >> We should be focused on football. I I'm. worried what it does to the locker room. because he was, you know, a a favorite. in that locker room, especially amongst. his peers in the secondary room. It. sucks losing a good player, but you. know, I think this kind of what the. situation was and it also sucks that the. second is until 2028, but I think we. have like the third, fourth, and fifth. round pick already from the Cowboys next. season, so they didn't want to give up. another one to us. But yeah, I mean, not.
great losing a good player, but you. know, it's I'm kind of happy that it's. over with. >> David Mullet is the agent. Jerry Jones. doing a lot of dealing with David. Mulleta here over the last couple years. Uh, and he actually had this to say. about whether or not he was going to be. continuing to build that roster that. they have this season. You're dangerous. >> than an old man with money. >> So that means he's paying Joey Porter. Jr. is that what that means? Let's go to. the toxic table at boss Connor and Ty. Schmidt. Ty, how do you think Jerry. Jones handles this entire operation? You. got George Pickkins on a franchise tag, so he doesn't have a long-term deal. You.
got Joey Porter Jr. coming in. He wanted. a new deal. Also has a back, >> right? >> Has a back. >> Is Jerry going to pay Joey Porter Jr. before Joey Porter Jr. plays for the. Dallas Cowboys? How does this kind of. unfold, do you think? >> Uh, I don't think so. So, I uh did. Sheffy's podcast with him this morning. and I asked the same thing. I said, "Cuz. optically that looks terrible if you. trade for Joey Porter Jr. when you had. all the stuff with George Pickkins and. then pay him before you pay Pickins. What does that mean?" He said he doesn't. think he's going to he's going to pay.
him right away. He said he thinks it's, you know, that they're operating on good. faith here and that, you know, we'll. see. Joey Porter might play Sunday for. the Cowboys against the Texans, which is. interesting because obviously he was not. going to play tonight for the Steelers. Uh, but it sounds like no, he's not. gonna pay him right away. >> Wow. >> Very interesting. >> That is very interesting because he felt. so disrespected, I would assume. Correct. You know, because Brooke Prior. put out a tweet about how uh if we could. put it up, the Brook Prior tweet, please. don't get it wrong what the quote was.
Uh, there it is. Two weeks ago, sources. strongly suggested the relationship. between Joey Porter Jr. and the Steelers. was beyond repair. Tonight, Porter is. headed to the Cowboys from the piece. with Jeremy Fowler. I don't know if he. ever puts on a Steelers uniform again. Okay, joining us now is a man who's been. in that building and has sources all. over the place. Yep. >> He is the Steelers correspondent for. this particular program. Ladies and. gentlemen, longtime esteemed beat writer. and reporter and journalist of the. Pittsburgh Steelers, Mark Kaboli. >> How are you doing, Kabul?
>> Good. How you guys been? >> Hey, not too shabby. You look fantastic. It is great to see I see your big head. behind your actual head there. So, I. appreciate that alongside uh Lambo. And. is that the Eiffel Tower? Been to. France? No big deal. Kaboli, let's talk. about JPJ ending up in uh Dallas Cowboys. uniform. Brook Prior said that, you. know, a couple weeks back it felt like. the relationship was, you know, really. not repairable. And if there is a. thought that he's not going to get paid. by Jerry Jones this year and he's going. to play potentially this weekend, the.
rest of the way, he got so disrespected. and pissed off at the Pittsburgh. Steelers during negotiation that he. said, "I'll go to another place that I. don't really know at all and play for. this instead." head, like how did we get. here in your eyes and what does the. building think about everything that. took place? >> Well, the building's definitely on Joey. Porter's side. Actually, inside the. locker room, uh he's he's been nothing. but uh a good teammate to them. So, there's no problem there. So, the beyond. repair, I think we got to that point.
right after the season started when you. knew he wasn't going to get a contract. Even a little bit before that, there was. talk maybe a month before the season. that that was not going to happen. They. were so far apart with the numbers that. there was never going to be a chance. that he was going to resign. And saying. he went to Dallas and not really have. anything intact, you know, with his um contractwise. um tells me that he was he was very very.
upset. He was disenchanted with the way. the things went on here. And he's. willing to take his chances somewhere. else, which is uh very strange. considering the Porter family in this. area, considering how much he meant how. much he meant to the organization. He. went to school right up the road. He. went to Penn State. He was in the locker. room when the Steelers won the Super. Bowl. So, it was just a bad bad. situation, but this was the only. resolution. >> I'll tell you what, you feel. disrespected by people. You know, you. can just say [ __ ] him forever. You can.
do that. And it feels like that is what. inevitably ended up happening, especially if he's going to play for the. same exact situation that he would be in. for the Pittsburgh Steelers with the. same back injury. Do we think he's going. to be healthy with the back? Whoa. >> You can't be laughing at. >> No, you can't. >> You're laughing at AI videos, too, I. bet. >> Yeah. Not every single one of them. >> Not every single one of them. Obviously, you can't be doing that. Especially some. of THE AI. OFF THAT'S out there. Uh, not we're.
sorry we dove into an AI conversation. You are the opposite of AI in this. entire thing. >> Are you okay, Mark? >> Not really. >> What's wrong? >> I don't know. I think I woke up on the. wrong side of the bed. My whole left. side is like. >> Jesus. >> Little puffy. >> Don't you have a little booze? >> Go to the boozed up. >> I got to drive to Cleveland here. It's 2. and a half hour drive, so I'm good. Hey, thanks for not uh just flying and. charging us for it, which I certainly. would have noticed. I want to let you.
know I certainly. >> it's a it's a it's a 140 miles. I mean, >> walk that. >> Yes, >> maybe. >> If my back didn't hurt. >> He's he's going to Cedar Point tomorrow. after the game. He's going to charge you. for that. >> All right. You're the best. Thank you so. much, Kabali. Safe travels. Goodbye. >> Oh, wait. Cabals. Kabas. Kabas. I'm so. sorry. Tone has a question for you. Oh. jeez, >> Mark. Uh. >> oh. >> 12 years of Minecraft. Did Did not you.
didn't know this? Did nobody know this? I mean, the Minecraft experts are saying. this is like 5 hours a day for 12 years, >> every day. >> You You know what the scary part about. that whole situation is? Is he seems. very proud of it. >> I don't know if I would be quite proud. of that, spending that amount of time in. Minecraft. To be honest with you, I. don't even know what Minecraft is. I. don't know what it entails. I don't know. why you want to build a city. Um but uh. I just know one thing. The Steelers. haven't won a playoff game since he.
started it. So. >> ladies and gentlemen, that's Mark. Bowling. >> I was thinking Thank you, Mark. I was. thinking um. like as I was watching it, I was like, man, the attention to detail. >> Oh my gosh. Unbelievable. >> So I thought it was just like a hobby. baby. It's got like interior design, architecture, and stuff like that. So. then we have a Minecraft expert in the. group. Text. >> Yep. >> Bill. >> Mhm. >> Who starts explaining what had to have.
happened for this to happen. We're. talking block by block. >> Yeah. >> Oh yeah. >> He had 14. 30story buildings. >> Oh yeah. >> Around a body of water that he wanted to. build his city around. We'll get his. suburbs, the MLS stadium and everything. else at a different time. He wanted to. start around this body of water. So he. one block at a time. >> They all got patios. Every single one. every single room at the hotel has a. >> great condominium.
>> Every single one of them had it. He went. to a penthouse. He had a. >> he had a shark's aquarium. It was. unbelievable. I thought I was watching. Ace Venture a Pet Detective with that. the fish tank aquarium that was in that. one person's house that I thought looked. so cool. Obviously Tomlin thought it. looked very cool too. Then I immediately. thought. if I was a quarterback or anybody on. that team and my happiness depended upon. us winning and all I'm learning now in. real time is that my coach was [ __ ]. building a city block by block by a.
beautiful city block by I think I would. have a little bit of a wh what's going. on and now Steelers fans obviously the. stats immediately come I haven't won a. playoff game since this started. We went. to two two Super Bowls before this and. then didn't win a playoff game once this. start once this whole thing started. We. didn't go to play. So there there's that. reaction. But from my understanding, >> phenomenal Minecraft City. I think he. has really done well. I think in the. gaming community or the Minecrafting.
world, I think they think he's. >> this guy might be a coach for them. >> Yeah, the chosen one. >> He might be able to do that. The. football world though, I think a lot of. people are going, man, that's a lot of. coaches have no time. Joining us now, our coach, ladies and gentlemen, 37. years uh in football coaching. experience, 19 in the NFL, 18 in. college. Uh I was very lucky to call him. head coach. Ladies and gentlemen, Chuck. Bagano. >> Coach, a lot of time being a head coach. um of an NFL team, only 32 jobs,
especially I mean winning every year, having a winning record every year is. insane ability to be able to. compartmentalize. I guess you're in. maybe has more hours in the day than the. rest of us. How when you learn about. Minecraft last night, I assume, or this. morning, I don't know when you learn. about this, and you start to think about. this, what are your immediate thoughts. about another head coach who has done. incredible things as a head coach also. having a hobby that seemingly takes up a. massive amount of time and energy and. focus. >> Yeah. I I don't know how one does it. You know, I had a hobby, right?
>> Smoking cigars. >> Well, I did that a little bit, but. basically the Pelaton, right? I had it. next to my desk. >> Oh, yes. Yes. >> So, like uh our buddy Schneider up in. Seattle multitasking, you can stick that. in your office. You can jump on it. You. can still watch tape. You can do a lot. of things while you're just pedaling a. pedaling a bike. But I can't fathom I. don't have a big a brain as uh as coach. Tomlin has. Uh granted, he did a lot of. great things, Super Bowl champ, all. those kind of things, but to try to find.
the time to create something this. extravagant, like do you have to have. like an architecture? No. Like is Andrew. lock doing this? Like I don't know. >> No, that's what I that's immediately. what I thought. Like I build my. grandsons love Legos. We put Legos. together and you got to follow, you. know, the pages one by one and what goes. together. They're really brilliant at. it. They do a great job. Does this take. the same amount of hours and time? >> I don't know. >> Like you say brick by brick, piece by. piece and the this I 12 years on this.
city. I mean it's gorgeous. >> It is gorgeous city. We all love to go. see it. We'd love to visit this place. >> Yeah. At some point, hopefully AI gets. to a point where 3D printing can just. make this city for Coach Tomlin, maybe. in a less amount of time than he. actually spent building it uh brick by. brick. Con man, I think you know a. little bit about this Minecraft world, not definitely more than any of us. >> Is this the greatest Minecraft city in. the world? And I've heard there are some. doubters amongst the mcrafter. Am I. accurate in that assessment?
>> Yeah, you are. He was on about a five. sensitivity. He was still running into. walls. People were kind of. >> explain what that means. >> Nitpicking that that means if your. sensitivity is high, you know, you're. looking around really fast. If it's low, that means, you know, you can't really. move around as fast. When you move the. analogs, it moves a little slower. So, because of that, and because he was. bumping into walls with a low. sensitivity, people were kind of like, eh, maybe Tomlin didn't do this. the. attention to detail. To your guys'. point, the speak easy he had, he knew. the exact name of the blocks he needed. to have in order for the light in the. speak easy to be just right and for the.
view outside the windows of the speak. easy to be right. I am shocked by this. I mean, if you just think about it, for. the amount of time he's put into this, there is a 100% chance that on a. Wednesday prep day in the NFL during a. game week, at some point when he's in. his office or when he's on the field, he's thinking about some sort of. building, some sort of change he needs. to make there. There's a there's a. nonzero opportunity here or a nonzero. thought that Tomlin had more thoughts.
per year per capita than he did about. his Minecraft city than he did about the. Pittsburgh Steelers. Like it is. shocking. It is a massive worry. If I'm. a Steelers fan, to me, Tomlin's dead to. me. As a non Steelers fan, Mike Tomlin's. the man. I can't believe this is what he. did. >> Winning record. >> Winning record. I mean, granted, sure, he didn't win. Everybody needs an escape. con. >> Exactly. I I agree. And. >> I don't think so. See, >> this is an addiction though. >> Yeah. That's why I What's that? >> This is an addiction. >> We're saying this took maybe 5 hours a.
day for 12 years. Are you [ __ ] me? >> That's That's crazy. How many hours? How. many hours is that? >> Wasn't that the Pagallettics? Something. like that. >> The Pisanolics. >> Yeah. Broke it down. He said it was. about 5.6 hours per day for over a. 12-year period. That's why we need to. hear from his wife because if his. summers were spent, you know, basically. three months at a time where he's locked. in a room building because that's. another thing that I think. >> it's not three months though. So, so the. reason why I.
would never do coaching, okay, even. though I think I probably could be an. okay coach at some things, I think I. probably could. But the reason why I. couldn't become an NFL coach, we all say it. They are psychos with how they have to. live their lives. They are in their. offices trying to turn over every single. stone trying to get an advantage, deal. with something. You have assistant. coaching staff. You got a fleet of. people you got to lead and manage and. then there's an entire building, let.
alone a whole program. It is a very, very time consuming job. That's why. whenever Bruce Arens head coach uh Bruce. Arens's Super Bowl champion multiple. time whenever he comes out and says like. I tell my guys like if you got like a. birthday party for your kid or something. you you should go to that but we'll find. time somewhere else. And everybody's. like wow I can't believe he does that. It's like yeah that's cuz all the other. coaches literally live in the office. I. mean that is just what the business is. So any player that gets into coaching.
understands that their life is going to. be fully in a building with no not a lot. of windows watching that. That is just. the process of it. There's only 32 of. those opportun jobs. There's only 32 of. those things and it's like the top of. the world. So the fact that he was able. to do all this while still winning. against other people that are doing that. is just absolutely insane to think. about. He had to be operating with a. different amount of hours in a day. He. literally had to be operating with a. different amount of hours in a day. If. we assume this to be true, he spent a.
little over 24,500. hours putting together that city OVER. THE THAT'S SO MUCH TIME. THAT'S SO MUCH. >> He has a family. HE'S THE HEAD FOOTBALL. COACH OF THE NFL. I mean, Chuck, I I. can't fathom. >> What What would 2,000 extra hours. dedicated to football meant for the. Steelers? They went three. horse. I mean, if he's doing this in his. only off time, I mean, >> point about Bruce, excuse me for. interrupting, like. >> kicking guys if family stuff, >> you know, cuz the hours like you.
mentioned are so like I used to go down. the hall, we'd go down the hall and say, "Hey, Friday, fast Friday. Hey, get out. of here. This going to be here. This. ain't going nowhere, right? Get out of. here. Go spend some time with your. family." Not once did Bruce or myself or. probably anybody say, "Hey, look, we've been working our ass off. You. should probably get home, work on your. Minecraft. >> Okay, we should start talking about. winning coach. >> Could you imagine Big Ben watching that. yesterday? Could you imagine? >> Oh, I need to know.
>> the thought. I need to know too. football. >> If you're Big Ben. episode, >> your entire career was spent with Mike. Tomlin. Basically, he he must have just. been tearing apart his basement. And. it's a beautiful basement. >> Beautiful. And even his basement of his. basement is a very nice basement. >> That's what I mean. Yeah. He had to be. thrown. >> Tore it up. Tore it up. Did he ever talk. to his teammates like in a team meeting? They had to drop it somewhere and then. they just kept it in. >> Now on that, we do have to remind. everybody, >> winning coach brought a lot of happiness. to the city of Pittsburgh.
>> Hall of Fame coach, >> the Hall of Famer, everything like that. Phenomenal on TV, >> probably will be a head coach again. >> But there are a couple groups of people. that were watching that beautiful. Minecraft tour that were thinking to. themselves, >> it goes on and on. There's more. Oh, we'll get to that on the next episode. another episode. >> Yeah, excuse me. >> You thought he's going to give away one? >> I believe that's what he tweeted out. >> Like, has he beat the campaign? I want. to know. >> Like, I texted I texted Nick like at the. beginning cuz you can see this different. depths of the lake in the middle. I'm.
like, is that him? Is he digging out a. shallow end and a deep end in this lake? Yeah. >> Need a sandbar. >> Oh, yeah. >> Joining us now, ladies and gentlemen, is. a man who's had to listen to the last 10. minutes of this, and I apologize for. that. I completely forgot he was on. He. just got uh announced a brand new deal. to continue kicking off every NFL. weekend for us on Thursday night with. Prime. He's obviously the face of. College Game Day and College Football. Prime Time on ESPN and ABC. He's a. former president of Ohio, ladies and.
gentlemen. Also former quarterback for. Ohio State, Centerville Elk home run. record, >> and also former starting quarterback for. the Elks as well. I assume there's some. junior team high school there. >> Pop Warner. >> You think you ever played hoops? No way. >> No. >> No way. Couldn't move. >> Yeah. >> Ladies and gentlemen, Kirk Herbstre. >> You didn't deserve that at the end. >> Couldn't move. What are you talking. about? >> Oh, yeah. I remember you pulling out. >> Yeah. The long scamper against.
Minnesota. >> I was a spot up. I was spot up three. guy. >> Oh, really? Three and D? Yeah. >> Three and D. Were you You were smacking. wood for sure. You were bopping wood. Oh. yeah, smacking it. Get down there. Get. ready to go. >> Were you Were you playing Minecraft at. all? What are your thoughts on all this? It's just an incredible usage of time. >> I I enjoyed the last 10 minutes of that. I I have no idea. I mean, I've heard. about it cuz my my kids, but I I can't. imagine, man. I mean, coach, you know a. lot more about your day and what it. takes to be a head coach and media.
responsibilities and I mean, you're a. CEO anymore as a head coach, but I guess. everybody needs, like coach said, you. need a release. You need something to. occupy your time where you can get away. And I guess that I I don't know a thing. about this stuff. I I I have no idea. But listening to Tai, that that's a lot. of hours building this uh this city. here. >> Yeah. Well, I'll tell you, if you ask. Coach Tomlin, he say it feel like it was. just yesterday's target. And I I think. to your point about having a release,
you know, and something to do and a. hobby, I assume he doesn't golf ever. A. lot of people like to golf. I assume. instead of, you know, 18 holes uh with. the lads. He's in there design. Did you. see that skull had flames? >> Couldn't just be a skull need flames. coming out of that thing. Guy's. unbelievable. >> Who Who's the expert in of the crew in. Minecraft? Your crew. Mhm. >> Bill Bailey. >> Billy Billy, what what what's his take. on this? Is this an impressive effort? >> Billy Boy's 30 seconds behind back in. his hole. He's going to have to uh.
somebody's going to have to. >> Well, maybe maybe Yeah, I I'm just. curious in that in that world. Is that. Is that as impressive as we all think it. is? It's impressive. Pretty elaborate. >> Yeah, it's impressive because of the. time commitment that it would take. Like, you can't just log on for a. weekend here and there and get to where. you can build those kind of intricacies. in your world. You have to actually. commit to okay let's research like how. do I actually make an aquarium how can I. you have to like put the water in the. glass you don't just get like hey here's. your water glass block.
>> so it's every single block is being laid. in this entire metropolis. >> and even removed like if he wants to. expand his water feature that he said he. based the world around like he can. remove blocks he can he can cultivate. the land. >> intricacies and cultivating happening in. Minecraft how how big is a city do you. guys go by like potential population. would be like how does he win the game? Do you win the game here? >> So, there's like two levels of the game. There's like what Connor was saying. earlier, there is like a campaign to. where it's like, hey, there's objectives. to beat this game or you can just do.
creative, which is what Tomlin was. doing. So, there's no threats or. anything. It is just let's expand this. as far as it can go. >> Oh, yeah. >> Threats? What do you mean? You you have. what's the campaign? >> Well, there's there's creepers, which is. a monster that tries to kill you as. you're trying to take down the Ender. Dragon, who is the uh the end of Jeez. Thanks, Phil. >> Wow. >> Yeah, Speed and Kai just did the whole. that entire thing on their screen. >> YEAH, EXACTLY. >> HE'S GOT MILES GARRETT ON THE BROWNS. THIS ENTIRE TIME. JEEZ.
>> Reminds me of a creeper. >> All right. Thank you, Bailey. >> Thank you, Bill. Bill, >> that was a big moment for Bill. Him. going for the word intricacies on. camera. >> That was quite an aggressive thing. Cultivate. He dropped in there. >> Learned about the creepers. >> Hey, well, >> he knows Minecraft. >> Yes, he does. >> He knows creepers. You know football, don't you, Herby? >> Yeah. Yeah. That's that's about where I. draw the line. That's about all I got. for you. >> Congrats on the new deal. >> Hell yeah. >> Well, thank you. >> Well, well deserved. Happy for you. Uh. going to continue kicking off NFL.
weekends for us on Thursday night. Let's. go to tonight's kickoff of NFL Week four. as we have an AFC North battle. Every. team in the AFC North is above 500. Congratulations to them being back in. the kitchen. A lot of new faces. obviously in the AFC North, especially. here, Mike McCarthy leading the Steelers. instead of, you know, Coach Tomlin who. was a great head coach for the Steelers. for a long time. Brought a lot of. happiness. People got to remember that. today in Pittsburgh, I think. And then. Todd Monkin in the Cleveland Browns era. starting beautifully, I think, if you're.
a Browns fan. What do you expect from. the night? What are you looking forward. to? But I I when we were here for their. preseason game, we had them in New. England uh week three of the preseason. games. And I remember talking with with. Todd Monkin and and some of the. Cleveland folks, and I was like, man, if. you guys could start the year, tough. tough tough tough way to start at. Jacksonville and at Tampa, if somehow. you split that, come back home and beat. Carolina by the time we see you guys, who knows? Let's be optimistic. You. could be two and one getting ready for. our Thursday night game against. Pittsburgh.
To their credit, they haven't played. perfect football, but to their credit, they've been down in the fourth quarter, both both of their wins. Uh Deshun. Watson was able to lead them to a. victory, so they've shown some. resiliency. Haven't played clean. football necessarily. I would say this, and I and you guys and coach can really. appreciate this. Five brand new. offensive linemen from last year to this. year. Two of them are rookies with with. Fono out on the the left tackle. Austin. Barber out out of uh Florida is playing.
right guard. Now their starting center. who they went to Green Bay to get. Jenkins, he's down tonight. So they're. putting in a a guy that hadn't played a. ton of football uh in and Luke Whipler. So you got three pretty inexperienced. starters tonight against that defensive. front with TJ Watt, Alex Highmith. So I. I think that'll be for an offense still. learning a new scheme. You got two. rookie wide receivers. You got a second. year running back, a second year tight. end. By the way, an abundance of young. and exciting.
skill Deshawn Watson, but you're also. learning a brand new system with Todd. Mon. So there a lot is going on for them. to be sitting here at two and one. All I. think of their best football is ahead of. them as they grow in chemistry and grow. in continuity. But tonight, I think the. message would be get the ball out fast. Make this Steeler defense tackle. underneath and in space. And they've yet. to get the rookie that I think all of us. Pat, I know you know Casey Conpsio and. what he did last year at&m. They've yet.
to get him going and get Exactly. get. him on jet sweeps, get him underneath, make him shake a defender and get up. field. This kid Boston out of. Washington, he's been on fire. Playing. the X, big target, 6'4, 215. He's off to. a great start, but what can they do to. get Conpsion, who's one of their dynamic. playmakers, going? And how will this. offensive line against new defensive. coordinator Patrick Graham, how will how. will they hold up uh in helping out. Deshun Watson against the speed of that.
that edge pressure from Pittsburgh? >> Before you get to the Pittsburgh. Steelers, great breakdown there of the. Cleveland Browns. We appreciate the hell. out of you doing that for us because. obviously you get a chance to chitchat. in the building multiple times, so you. know a lot more than us. But when you're. talking about that KC conception, Todd. Monk and his uh they say genius on the. offensive side. We assume that'll only. start to happen even more. I mean, on. Monday night, we saw Turpin with the. Dallas Cowboys. They had him do it. They. he hit one and then the Eagles had um. >> Luther Burden. >> Uh Chicago.
>> No, that's Chicago. >> Mai, the rookie out of. >> S. Yeah. So, we started seeing a lot of and. let alone a hook and ladder to deboss. taking place. It's like it does feel. like we are back in the old how do we. get the ball Tyreek Hill of the Chiefs. almost. How do we get our fast guys with. some space and hopefully they'll be able. to do that with KC cuz when he has the. ball in his hands he is electrifying. Now not a high overunder tonight. I it's. like 38 and a half or something like. that. Expecting an AFC North of old type. football game. Mike McCarthy and Aaron.
Rogers though there last week on that. offensive side looked wonderful. I mean. looked like it didn't look like a. Pittsburgh Steelers offense at all. that. looked very different than what most. people are seeing. Do we think that. continues? Do we think the Browns. defense kind of fizzles that out? And. what are your thoughts on where Aaron. and Big Mike are right now? >> So, the first two weeks it it looked. like an offense it was like a lot of. offenses, by the way, is an extension of. of preseason. Just trying to kind of. figure things out up front. Lack of. communication, a lot of free runners, a.
lot of third and longs. Uh they were. five of 25 in their first two weeks on. on third down. And I don't know if if. this had everything to do with it, but. they made a couple switches on on the. right side of the offensive line. They. put in Brock Hoffman, who played in. Dallas for for Mike McCarthy, so. familiar with the scheme, which I think. helped. They put a big rookie uh out at. right tackle, young guy that's out of. Arizona State who's a monster. They put. him in there, and I think Hoffman next. to him, I think, helped settle him down. and understand what they were doing. Um,
but talking to Aaron yesterday on our. call, he he made an interesting point. He said, "You know, we were struggling. offensively and Cincinnati's playing. great defensively and Dexter Lawrence. comes out there talking some [ __ ] early. in the first series." And he said it was. like the first play or two, we had a. different kind of energy. He said Brock. Hoffman shot back at at big decks and. said blah blah blah blah blah. Like he. wasn't taking any of it. And he said it. just really seemed to provide some juice. which had been missing these first.
couple weeks. And he said it was like we. were a different offense. So, I'm not. saying that everything to do with the. assertion of these two guys on the right. side, but it certainly helped solidify. their offensive line. Gave Aaron ample. amount of time. They finally gave him. time and he was able to hit some. explosives. They they beat man-to-man. coverage against Cincinnati. Uh Roman. Wilson on a bunch route, got away from. man. Uh Metaf uh had had a nice route. against against mesh in man coverage. So, it looked like more of what you'd.
expect. And I'm sure Tone saw Jaylen. Warren who I think's the key to their. entire offense, the the back that they. have. You know, for for a couple years. he backed up Naji Harris. He was kind of. that one B back. And now I think they're. super excited about profiling this guy. Just get another guy you want to get in. space. Stewart, low center of gravity, but thick, tough to bring down. They got. to get him on track tonight against this. Cleveland defense. This is going to be a. hell of an atmosphere. I mean, it's a. rivalry game. Both teams are two and.
one. The Cleveland fan base is starving, as we know, to have a winner. They're on. the verge. They're thinking if they can. win this game, get to three and one. They go to New York to play the Jets. They come back with Baltimore here and. then go to Tennessee uh to take on the. Titans. So, if you can get a win here, dare to dream, you know, if if you're a. Cleveland Browns fan. But it is uh it's. a great matchup in the in the trenches. with Jared Verse, Mason Graham, Isaiah. Magguire. You guys saw what Graham did. last week. that this kid is really in.
his second year out of Michigan starting. to show what he's capable of doing. But. I I think it'll be a great battle and. the big thing is can can they give Aaron. Rogers enough time to hit some of his. his his weapons on the perimeter against. man coverage which is what the Browns. like to play a lot of them. >> I like to hear the young fella chirping. back to Dexi there especially in his. first start with a lot of eyes on. everything happening there. I also like. that big Mike McCarthy had Darnell. Washington go up through the A gap and. put his shoulder through Dex's chest on. the first play saying, "Hey, we can chip.
in here too if we have to just make him. think about that the entirety." Felt. like there was a big brain operation. happening last week. Does that continue? I think yes. >> But were the Browns a team of destiny? That's certainly a combo. Uh there's a. quarterback that has some success here. for the first time long time. Coach has. a question for you, Kirk. Yeah, Herby. Watson uh is endearing himself to these. fans. He's he's starting to get some. support. Obviously, first home start, go. down and get that win. He hasn't been. effective until really the late in the.
game, the fourth quarters. How concerned. in talking to Pat Graham and these. defensive guys over in Pittsburgh, we. know they got Herbig and Watt and and. all those guys up front, right? Highmith, uh eight, nine sacks on the. season. How concerned are they contain? Cuz to me, watching the tape, it just. looks like the only way they're going to. be able to move the ball. They'd like to. get Juncans going, right? But is Watson. extending plays and then hitting Boston. down the field, hitting Fannon, hitting. Conception and and getting some chunk.
plays that way. How concerned are they. with containing him? >> Yeah, I mean, you're you're all over it. I think that's going to be the key is. can he continue to make plays with his. legs and create? I think is he's still. trying to find his flow and his rhythm. after being down for two years. One. thing I'm seeing on film is I I felt. like in his career at Clemson and early. in his NFL career when he was having a. lot of success with Billy O'Brien down. in Houston, he did a pretty good job of. working through progressions, but but.
not quite trusting this offensive line. Five new pieces, two rookies, still. trying to work the kinks out himself, getting in rhythm with with two rookie. receivers. I feel like he is looking at. primary and instead of working through. it and trusting Monkin system and these. and these these new pieces around him, he's taking off and and he's creating. and I think everybody's thinking with a. guy that had two surgeries on an. Achilles, ruptured Achilles, he's moving. around like he did when he was at. Houston. I mean, he looks fantastic. pulling it down. And I talked to TJ Watt.
yesterday about, you know, kind of that. controlled rush as opposed to just. getting off field. And they're they're. definitely in tune. and Patrick Graham. Definitely they're going to have a plan. for how they want to try to rush, especially on third down because right. now their best play is Deshun Watson. breaking down a defense, keeping his. eyes downfield and letting Denzel Boston. or Harold Fannon or somebody kind of. work with him to try to find some space. So, you take that away, make him play. from the pocket. If you're a Pittsburgh.
Steeler uh defender, make him prove that. he can trust his offensive lineman, trust his young receivers, and make him. play from the pocket. Do not let him get. out or it's it's a it's a good thing for. Cleveland and not such a good thing uh. for the Pittsburgh defense. >> I got a chance to watch Deshawn when he. was at Houston boots on the ground. multiple times and it was. >> he was outrageous. I I mean, he really. was. He was outrageous on the football. field. And that's why everything that. happened off the field and the.
conversation happened, he's still a. starting quarterback in the NFL because. you have to be obviously unbelievable. for all of that to be happening and. still going. If he is anywhere back to. close to what he used to be and feels as. if and has worked his way into doing. that. And Todd Monkin, the way he's. talking about him, he's like, "Are we. not supposed to motivate our guys? Is. that not what we're here for? Are you. not what you're not, but you are what. you are? And when you are what you're. not, is that not when you're good? So, there's just a lot of these things Todd.
Monkin said about supporting Deshawn and. like motivating him to be uh the best. football player he can possibly be. And. he's looked a little bit like the Magic. that we've seen in the past. It's. impossible to think that he would be as. good as he was back then just because he. was an MVP discussion. He was and the. way he throws the ball so unique. It is. like a javelin like the way he throws it. and it's he throws darts and the way he. can move if he's anywhere near what he. used to be just from us watching and.
experiencing in real life he's electric. on a football field Herby. >> No no no doubt no doubt pal and and I. think there's so much focus on him and. rightfully so. I mean, this is a town. that obviously let their feelings be. known and, you know, there was all that. that whole story and now, of course, he's winning games, coming bringing the. team from from, you know, defeat and and. pulling out a victory in fourth quarters. the last couple weeks. So, now they're, you know, they want to see him do well. With that being said, I think you got to. look at the pieces around him. While. it's easy to focus on the quarterback on.
any offense, the thing I'm most. concerned about right now, if I'm a. Cleveland fan, is Quinn Sean Junkkins. You know, this is a guy that fractured. his fibula and an ankle, had surgery. This was at week 16 last year. If you. really watch him run, I I haven't spoken. with him. I'm just going by watching him. on film. He doesn't quite look like the. same guy that used to run with a chip on. his shoulder, almost like he was just an. angry runner. I haven't seen that yet in. these first three weeks. Now, I'm not. saying there's been a lot of holes with.
this young line, but he he likes to, you. know, here's your option. Shake a guy. and go, or run right through him. He. wants to run right through you. And I. think he's kind of working his way back, gaining confidence because he's. averaging three yards a carry. It's. putting all almost everything on this. passing game and this offensive line to. put in obvious passing situations. And I. think thank goodness for Cleveland, Deshaawn's been able to create and make. some plays. But do you imagine if they. get Junkkins and this this uh this other. back Raheem Sanders if they could get.
something out of that running game right. now? They're 29th in the NFL in rushing. and it's putting everything, like I. said, on that on that O line and Deshun. Watson to have to create and make plays. >> So abnormal for the Browns, especially. in AFC North football, to not have a. good run game, at least appear to have a. good run game. You assume that only gets. better. And I I agree with you about. Judkins. He's awesome to watch whenever. he's awesome to watch. I hope that. happens. >> sooner than later, maybe even tonight. Now, the defense he's playing against. seemingly uh obviously no Joey Porter.
Jr. back and Cowboys. Uh Tone has a. question for you. >> Yeah, I do. Hurry. Obviously, you know, you said you you talked to the team a. little bit yesterday. Was there any uh. conversations about Joey Porter Jr. and. then him not being there? Jaylen Ramsay. has a broken wrist. Uh Sante Samuel Jr. got benched last week. They brought in. the rookie Dalen Ever from Georgia who I. think they really like. What are your. thoughts on the Steelers secondary. tonight with obviously Joey Porter Jr. gone and then Ramsay? I don't know if. he's going to play or not with the. wrist. I think Ramse's going to try to.
go, which is, you know, you tip your cap. to this dude and what he's doing in his. 11th year. Everybody, everybody you talk. to the last couple years at Pittsburgh. when it comes to Jaylen Ramsey, it's all. about, man, this guy's spreading his. wisdom. He's, you know, he's he's. helping the younger guys out. He's. trying to teach them, you know, everything that he understands and what. he's learned over the over the years as. a pro. And not to mention that, his. versatility. You know, he'll be up close. to the line of scrimmage. You know, he'll play up there as a as a guy that's. going to be in run support. They'll. blitz him. He'll play back in in the. deep half. Um he'll play last week I saw.
him playing the the the dime linebacker. manned up against a a running back. So. he's doing everything. And if he plays. through a broken wrist, again, kudos to. him. Tone, my opinion, and not talking. yet to to anybody over there, you know, when I get on the field pregame, I'll. ask these guys this. for them to be willing to let Joey. Porter go without knowing all the, you. know, behind the scenes negotiations. I. just think listening to Patrick Graham. when I had a one-on-one combo with him. earlier in the week, they just kept. going on and on about Don Ever. We all.
know him in college. Anybody who's. watched Georgia, we know what he's. capable of. Big dude, 61, 196 pounds. He's like, man, his eyes when we're. going I was going through his personnel. When I got to Dylan Ever, he just was. like, "Oh, so excited about him and. Robert Spears Jennings, the safety that. they got out of Oklahoma, out of. Oklahoma." They think they hit on both. of those rookies. But I think, maybe not. tonight, but I think as time goes on, you're going to see more more 23 and I'm.
speaking of Ever get an opportunity to. be into this defense and show what he. can do. And remember, eventually Deshawn. Elliot hopefully gets back. Um he's he's. right now on the IR that they're missing. his communication on the back end, but I. think they're pretty pretty happy with. the versatility of the group and the. fact they're moving on from Porter, I. think tells you about some of these. young guys and what they think they can. do with this defense. >> What was the stat I saw? 89% zone. >> Uh week one was 100%. Um and I know they. ran a bunch last week. They're trying to. keep the Bengals wide receivers in front.
of them, which they did. They gave up. some some like, you know, some stuff in. front, but nothing over the top really. Uh yeah, a lot of zone early for Patrick. Grim. >> So Joey Porter Jr. man DB, right? Is. that uh how he especially? Yes. >> Okay. So. >> get up on guys, get your hands on guys, disrupt at the line of scrimmage. >> So trying to force is that a circle in a. square hole right there for him in that. defense if he's own defense that he. think potentially wasn't a good fit for. him with that defense as well. And maybe. the Steelers thought that or you can. make it work with anybody. Oh, you just. don't let Herby will tell you don't let.
61 200 lb 44 corners walk out the door. But. but if you've got this Ever Cat that. just stepped in and just listening to. Herby 61, 198bs, he ran 439 at the. combine. Okay. Yeah. And they're winning. and they're playing good defense. They're seventh in the league. They're. really good against the pass. See you. later. >> Yeah, that is the final decision. And. obviously there's still people that. don't think that that should have been.
the move, but you start piecing things. together, you can see how they landed on. that decision. Jaylen Ramsay has been. fun to watch since the beginning. Very. physical. And then speaking of fun to. watch before we move to college. football, >> are you excited for the halftime. performance tonight? Rock and Roll Hall. of Fame in D. >> Well, I've got six minutes to get back. there and and try to eat a sandwich and. get back. So, I I'm I'm excited to hurry. and sprint back to be able to to be able. to check out this performance for sure. >> I want. you to.
>> Oh, that'd be awesome. >> I need. you to me. >> That's them, I guess. >> Okay. It's cube trick, >> I believe. >> Okay. >> I'm not 100% sure. I was thinking. >> No, it is Cheap Trick. Yes, I That song. is Cheap Trick, right? >> Yes, it is. >> Okay, sick. That is what you're Hurry. your ass up, Herby. >> Yeah, >> cuz you're going to want.
to watch them. Yeah, I think they should. do pretty magical things, man. Oasis. would have been crazy. >> That would have been wild. >> Oasis would have been crazy. >> I mean, that would have been insane. We. we had a whole brainstorm yesterday of. what that could be whenever they. announced a surprise halftime concert. from a Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. inductee. It is Cheap Trick and I think. they got at least a couple bangers. >> They do. >> that all people love. That song for. instance reaches every demographic. Okay, let's go to college ball, shall. we? Herby as college football has been.
cooking here early. Go ahead, Con man. >> Yeah, Herby, looks like you got that. sweet Florida blue on. So, I'm going to. ask you about um Florida all the way up. to number eight in the nation after. beating down on Miss. Is this the team. kind of everyone's been pontificating. about who's the next IU? Who's going to. come back with a, you know, coach to. completely change the culture? Is that. Summerall? Should we expect Florida to. now be in the conversation going forward. with John Summerall being there? And. should we also be talking about them. winning the SEC and maybe the national.
championship now? >> It it feels like we're heading in that. direction. And I think it'll be a good. test honestly this weekend going to. Missouri after a big win and everybody. they moved up 13 spots in the polls. Everybody now has been is talking about. them. You know game day we've I think. we've talked about them every week. We. we've kind of been looking at this team. especially offensively and it's like. okay the these guys got something going. Summerall is is an incredible leader as. he demonstrated in his last two stops as. a head coach. And I think what we're.
seeing to me right now is a team that. has been beaten down. They've had four. of their last five years have been. losing seasons. And again, I think there. is a crowd of fan bases I've ever come. across in college football. For them to. go through that, for these players to go. through that, pretty challenging. And. Summerall has infused, I think, a belief. more than anything. And I think the. offensive scheme that they're running, it is so much fun to watch what what. Buster Faulner's doing with this scheme. It's very difficult to prepare for, but.
at this point, we know what they could. do. They're going to score 50. I mean, they're going to score 45, 50 points a. game. But now that they've got to deal. with being the hunted, how will they. deal with games like at Missouri, no. problem, throw your jersey out there, you're. going to win. This is a This is a mental. This is where we honestly I think we'll. learn more about Florida this weekend in. a game like this against Missouri. Then. we learned about them last week against. Old Miss. They caught Miss at a good.
time. Their offense is unstoppable. They. got a quarterback right now, Aaron Pho. The ball guy could be the best player, one of the best players in the country. So, there's a lot going for them right. now. And uh yeah, I I think uh I I. happen to believe in them. I you know I. I think that they're worthy of this, but. this will be a good test for him this. week mentally to get over the hump and. and showing that they can deal with. prosperity and a lot of pats on the. back. >> Everything I've heard from coach Summer. is he is a hard ass coach, right? It. feels like that is his style. So these.
types of games that you're referring to. Missouri this weekend, uh bring your own. juice type stuff. I think they're kind. of built for it. I think that is I think. he's probably excited to see what their. culture is too cuz I think that is kind. of his mindset that he wants in them is. like hey it doesn't matter. We need to. go beat the hell out of these people. You talk about Jaden Ba, he'll be. joining us in about 20 minutes or so. Can't wait to catch up with him. Yeah, he had 1100 yards last year. Okay. Did. you know that? No, he already has 600. yards this year. I mean, he is on pace. to do some fantastic record-breaking.
type stuff. And to your point, he might. be the best player in all the ball. This. guy cannot wait to talk to him. Yeah, he. he is he is he he's one of those backs. that of course brings as you see the. physicality. He's got tremendous. balance. He's got incredible instincts. and vision, patience, then he's got. burst to go along with it. And so I'd. love I'd love, you know, ask him about. Buster Faulner's system. What what is. what makes it so unique? Because like. you said, over a thousand yards a year. ago, but he's on a whole different level. right now. He's finding a lot more space.
to run. this system uh does a lot to to. affect the eyes of a defense and he's. the beneficiary. But I'd love to hear. what he thinks about this system and and. what makes it so difficult on opposing. defenses trying to get ready for him. >> All right, Herby's question right here. Buster Falner system. I want to know. what it is. You got 600 yards already as. opposed to pass going to be a 2,000 yard. rusher. You know, that's uh that is an. insane thing to think about for anybody. Congrats to him and congrats to.
Summerall seemingly flipping Florida. quickly. Now, let's not talk about 50. points a game. Okay, let's not talk. about flipping a program because that. didn't have to happen. But let's talk. about going back somewhere for the first. time in a couple decades. Ty has a. question for you, Herby. >> Yeah, Herby, uh, a how excited are you. to get back to Iowa City this weekend? Seeing all those clips of you 20 years. ago, man, it's crazy how young you look. You really don't look that much older. now, but 20 years is a long time. And. also, I've seen it in my mind's eye. I.
can visualize it. I think there is a. path to it happening. But is there any. realistic chance that Iowa can beat Ohio. State this weekend? >> You know, I it's funny. I'm so trained. When something good happens for Iowa, I. I immediately think of what is your. reaction? You know, what what was your. reaction to that last second play? I. wish we we had a camera on you because. that was, you know, you say typical. Iowa, but it's like that play to me was.
like, oh my god. You know, they're going. to get they're going to get a playoff. Here we go in Ant Arbor again at the Big. House with a last second play, but just. to see that execution. Hank Brown puts. it on that back shoulder and they and. they come away with a victory. Kind of. vintage Iowa to be able to win in that. environment and and um kind of that. again 1914. only Iowa can get it to 19. to 14 to have a chance to find a way to. win. Uh to answer your first question, we are absolutely thrilled. I remember. when you guys had me go over to Buffalo. to help unveil their new stadium and.
represent the Pat McAfee show. I. remember talking to you guys that day. and we were kind of speculating about. where's game day going this week and. that week and I said, "Man, week five, guys. Maybe we're in Iowa City. You. know, may maybe who knows if Clemson if. North Carolina loses to Clemson and that. eliminates Notre Dame and North Carolina. and who knows, maybe we end up at Iowa. if they beat Michigan and here it is, man. So, we are the stars are aligned. We've missed being there. It's an. awesome college town, Kennock Stadium,
into the first quarter, waving to the. children's hospital. I mean, it's a it's. one of our favorite places. It's sad. that we haven't been there in whatever. it's been 20 years or whatever it is, but we are grateful. We cannot wait. I. know Pat's thrilled. Uh I know you guys. are doing your whole show, the whole. crew is coming out Friday, so we are uh. looking forward to an awesome weekend in. Iowa City. >> Cannot wait to get out there. Uh, I. mean, the fact that Tai is going to get. a chance to experience campus again, I. love that for him, obviously. But also,
I don't know if you've seen this, and. you're not the only one that. automatically thinks of Tai whenever. something Iowa happens. I think a lot of. people do that. Pat Anger, former. teammate of mine, former player for. Coach McGonna, led the NFL in tackles. with a broken foot uh, one season. I. mean, an absolute dog through and. through. Now, the Keller commentator, I. believe, for the Iowa. >> uh, broadcast team or whatever. He was. asked who the celebrity guest picker. should be and he said Tai Schmidt should. do it. Tai Schmidt should be the guy. that does it. He's the one that puts he.
puts on for Iowa more than anybody else. on a daily basis. And then others have. now chimed in and said the same thing. I. got to Stanford Steve sent me a text. He. goes, "Should we not think about Tai is. the So I just want to let you know every. time you shout out Tai about it, it's a. big deal. We're not doing that. I don't. think uh we don't.". >> Yeah. the the amount of the amount of. >> Maybe he could Can he help with the. kick? >> We could have him block the kick. Why. don't we have him block the kick this. week? Cuz we're blocking it this week. No matter who gets the ticket. We're.
blocking the freaking kick. I've had. enough. >> I thought about pitching that to Payton, but then. >> Thank you. Hurry. >> Payton would be doing that to a. Tennessee kid. Ty would be doing that to. an Iowa kid. It's not. >> I feel like the donation might go to the. children's hospital, too, if there is. that aspect of it. I don't feel great. about that. Yeah, it would have to be me. or you blocking that thing going, "Yeah, right, kids. THEY WAVE TO YOU ENOUGH.". BOOM. GO AHEAD AND BLOCK THAT THING, you. know. I I don't I don't know if we need. to do that, but yeah, good idea having.
Ty be a part of that. Absolutely. Yeah, I agree. >> Got to have Tai out there. And um yeah, that just to go back to last week, it's. like the these guys, man, >> the liars. >> Oh, well, what what the heck's a. football? I never heard of a football. Do you kick it? Do you kick the ball? That's Here's what Come on. What? What? What are we doing here? Three of four. >> have been makes. >> I wonder if they have like a group text. Immediately upon a guy being picked, he's like told by somebody, "Hey, you. need to text these people to do see what. happens." And there's a group text.
Welcome. Congratulations. Here's the. deal. Lie right now. You've never kicked. the ball cuz if you lie, he's going to. keep the money high. Then he had Payton. coming in and say, "This guy wouldn't. lie to you, Pat." Yeah. >> This guy would not here on Rocky Top. This guy would never lie to you. He. would never do that. >> Get Billy Hold out there. Yeah, he. certainly did. I was thankful for him. though. You still got to make the kick. though. Now, on that note, >> I do think we have to make it a little. bit more legit. >> Yeah. >> You know, I think there is something we. got to do to kind of make it a little. bit more realistic. You know, they have.
the money pressure, they have the crowd. pressure, but I think we need a little bit more. realist. >> Yeah. Maybe Herby's coming off the edge. >> Maybe if they lie to you. Yes. >> Put like a sensor in the ball. If they. kick it, if they kick it too hard, if. they're too good, the the ball explodes. and they're. >> Are they allowed to pass the thing now? They win the raffle and then I've never. kicked and I let Cuz I know in the past, can they do that? >> I think the rules say you're not allowed. to do that anymore. The rules in the. past had not said that specifically. So. they. >> cuz otherwise if you knew somebody,
you'd be like, "Okay, here." And I'll. give you x amount of dollars. Go kick. this thing. >> Yeah. I'm not sure to be honest. When. the first person did it, I was like. pretty pumped up because id read the. rules that they were giving to everybody. and I'm like, "Oh, if this was me and I. wasn't a kicker as soon as I'm picked, >> you could kick. >> Yeah, >> we're doing 50% is a lot better than 0%, you know, like if we're able to do this. entire thing." So, when they did that, I. liked the hustle. I think this time it's. just all guys who are pretty good kick. >> kick. >> And we get a lot of people that are. like, "How come, not a lot of people,
but I get some people that send me. messages saying, "How come you never let. women kick you sexist?" Okay, that's. obviously what is said to me. It's a. trolling. It's a ticket. >> They don't know that. Don't let that get. into a way. It's the first 300 people. that get there uh and say yes, we'd like. to be uh potential participants. They. get a ticket. They get a raffle. Then. that is called then that person. obviously selected goes through the. entire process gets a chance to kick it. So we Herby and I are not just like, you. know what, >> woman please. >> I don't. >> I don't think so. But there have been I.
mean Bell Sessions down in Georgia, she. had Henry Silver kick for her. >> Alabama. >> Alabama. She had zero chance of making. that and said, "I just want to do it. I. just want to do it cuz I just want to do. it for a life experience." And I was. like so pumped to hear that. I'm like, "Hell yeah, let's go." And then Herby. steps up for her. We also had a kicker. in uh. >> a female kicker somewhere else. We've. had three or four. >> women picked. But these lads are getting. out. These soccer players are getting. out there early and they understand. >> They're doing it barefoot. They're. kicking barefoot.
>> Crazy. Put me in charge of that. You'll. never give another penny away. And also. there are no Italians involved in the. raffle. >> We've had raffles in our family for a. million years and it always went the way. we wanted it to go. >> Daddy, he is not a part of it. We are. not how that works. >> We are running a legit raffle. Okay. I. grew up in an Italian community. I. understand what you're saying. That is. not happening for the kick. First 300. get it and it's pulled publicly and then. obviously a full celebration. Uh we.
might add some things this weekend to. keep it fresh. We can't wait to watch. you tonight. Congrats on your new deal. You earned it. You're the man. Cheers, buddy. >> See you, buddy. >> Hey, where's Peter? Is Peter in there? What? >> Yeah, he's right here. >> Thought he took the week off. >> No reaction. >> All right, it's got AirPods in hour two. On the. other side, we have Jaden Ba joining us. and AJ Hawk. And what the Chuck? We'll. see you then. Goodbye.
We have an opportunity to give away. $75,000. to a kid named Daniel Via Seor. >> Absolutely. >> You're a sophomore, correct? >> Yeah. >> What is your major? >> Civil engineering. >> Okay. So, what's that mean? What is. civil engineering? >> Uh, I don't really know. >> Have you ever kicked a ball before? >> I have. I have. >> When were you a soccer player? >> Soccer player. Yeah.
>> Okay. How were you at kicking soccer. balls? Pretty good. >> I was okay. I was good. >> Have you ever said anything negative. about football kickers? >> Maybe once or twice. >> DANIEL. DAMN. DANIEL, WE DON'T NEED. THAT. YOU MAKE A FIELD GOAL HERE from 33. yards uphill. You're the civil engineer. You'd have to tell me. I think it's. about a 40 yard kick. If you're able to. do that, we will give you $75,000. >> All right. >> He's got no laces. >> Yeah. What do we got going here? Can we. get Can we get a shot of shoes? >> What time of the shoes? Daniel showed up. in his vans with no races. What time did.
you get here for this? >> About 11:40 last night. >> Need a lot of power. >> Good luck, Daniel. >> I'm not feeling it. Not feeling it. WAIT. a second. >> Just like EVERYTHING THIS MORNING. THAT. was a surprise. >> We did not expect that.
>> We got to do one more. >> One more kick. for $100,000. >> You got this, DUDE. >> LET'S GO. >> How about this, Daniel? How about this, Daniel? Not only is this one for. $100,000, if you make it, we'll add. another $100,000 to the $500,000. donation we're about to make from. college game day to the hurricane. relief. It could be $600,000 if you make. this with a hund,000 going into your.
pocket. Daniel, this is bigger than you. LET'S MAKE A KICK. >> WAY TO OVERCOME the shoes here. That was. a heck of an effort. >> Come on. You got this. >> in Berkeley, CALIFORNIA. >> YOU GOT IT. GOT YOU, BUDDY. >> Hell yeah. >> Great job. >> Damn, Daniel.
Damn, Daniel. >> Are you kidding me? 114. >> The following program is a collection of.

the draft kings thunderdome on this. football kickoff Thursday October 1st. 2026 hour two starts now. >> FOOTBALL MAYBE YOUR BEST ONE YET Bruce. Brown that's an incredible start to hour. two as we kick off week four of the NFL. season tonight in Cleveland Ohio as Todd. Monkin and the Browns with Deshawn. Watson at quarterback will host the. Pittsburgh Steelers Aaron Rogers and. Mike McCarthy I'm So incredibly lucky. that I get a chance to talk sports every. single day with a great group of dudes. The talks the tables here at Boston. Connor at Tai Schmidt over under 38 and.
a half. Con man. >> Yeah, a little low. Feels like a sneaky. over, maybe an obvious over. Uh but then. again, if it goes 1310, we're all going. to say like this AFC Northball ball. What are we doing? But both offenses. flying high. I can't believe the. Pittsburgh Steelers scored 30 points in. a game last week. >> Hell yeah. >> You're not the only one that can't. believe that. Let's go to one half of. the hammer. D Cowboys AP tone. Pittsburgh Steelers not going to be able. to perform against the Browns on. Thursday night like history has told us. is the case. >> Yeah, that is what history would tell. you. Okay, let me just look at the. history a bit here. Uh. >> please do.
>> Steelers uh 0 and4 against the Browns ON. THURSDAY NIGHT. BROWNS. >> BROWNS ARE. >> BROWNS ARE 10 AND TWO at home on. Thursday NIGHT FOOTBALL. >> OH NO. >> UH BROWNS nine straight at home since. 2009 ON THURSDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL. >> OH NO. OH. >> UH, STEELERS ON A 1 and6 run against. Cleveland Browns on any day of the week. uh since 2019. And the last quarterback. not named Ben Rothberg a two win in. Cleveland. TOMMY GUN TOMMY MADDOX.
>> OH NO. >> BUT THAT WAS HISTORY, BROTHER. >> OH, >> that was history. >> Oh, okay. >> History was playing Minecraft all the. time. Okay, that's true. Big Mike Big. Mike McCarthy comes in. He's on a. sevengame win streak on THURSDAY NIGHT. FOOTBALL. OH YEAH. UH AARON Rogers 13 and six on Thursday. Night Football as well. So you can pull. stats out of whatever, but yeah, maybe. it's a new dawn of a new day tonight. >> Okay, I like that. And uh obviously the.
new day would begin tomorrow uh if it. was to start this evening. But Thursday. night football kicking off week four of. the NFL season. We are so pumped that we. have our coach 37 years in football in. the coaching profession, 19 in the NFL, 18 in college. Our coach Chuck Lagono is. here. >> Coach, Thursday Night Football. Let's. talk a little bit about Thursday Night. Football. What like Mike McCarthy. successful on Thursday night football? Some coaches not successful on Thursday. Night Football? We talk about the plan, talk about the strategy. Are you trying. to hamper it down a little bit so.
everything's easier or how are Thursday. nights treated for coaches? Mostly, >> I think from a game plan standpoint, you. try to carry over the things that you. used the week prior, things that you. didn't use. we have these menus, these. playlists on offense and defense, and. you're not going to get a chance to call. all those things. So, what we always. tried to do was carry over things from. the previous week so that we weren't. installing a brand new, you know, game. plan totally. Um, there's going to be. some things obviously specific to uh to.
the Browns and the Steelers that you. that you got to have up, you know, like. Herby talked about the pass rush of of. the Steelers and and keeping Watson. contained that really the only way that. maybe they can make some big plays down. the field. So do that. Get your team. healthy. Get them rested. You don't. practice. You don't put pads on. You do. mostly walkthroughs. You may run them. later in the week like on Wednesday. Do. some full speed stuff. And then then. it's just it's you against that dude. Mind over matter. Who's going to man up? Who's going to will up? Who's going to,
you know, bring it that night? >> And who's going to have the mini buy. afterwards uh happy? And who's going to. be miserable for an extra set of days. while watching everybody else play? Joining us now live from an attic in. Ohio is a man who is a former president. of Ohio. Pumped about prime time in. Ohio. >> I think he's going to go shake some. hands actually. >> Oh, >> maybe run for governor. >> Really? >> College football national champion, Super Bowl champion, Ryder Cup winner. Ladies and gentlemen, future politician. AJ Hall. >> Thank you for your service. >> Seems like something I would be really.
good at. I think I might do that. >> Okay. >> Can I talk about Mike Tom? Hey, Mike. Tomlin in Minecraft. Stop shaming the. dude. We want to hear what these coaches. are like, what the personalities are. like, what they like to do. All of a. sudden, the guy tells you his 12-ear. plan where he's building a magnificent. city, and everyone's shaming him and. saying that's why he lost games. >> NO, WE SAID HE WAS A WINNING COACH. WE. WE WERE SAYING Hall of Famer. Like, that's what we were saying about him. >> Yeah. And then Tone and all his buddies. go together and put the stats from when. he started playing to when, you know, and their record by myself. I have no.
buddies. >> Yeah. Okay. So, Tone doesn't have a team. working for him, but I do understand. what you were saying. There was some. pessimism amongst the Yinszers who were. probably, you know, most recently done. with the Tomlin era with the Pittsburgh. Steelers because of the lack of success. in the playoffs and lack of Super Bowls. and lack of things that take you over. the top, you know, just right over the. top. So, I thinkers are looking for more. reasons potentially and especially when. they're presented with something that. could have taken 24,800.
>> 500. >> 500 hours. That's a lot of time doing. something that isn't your job. Uh, which. I think a lot of yingers are pointing. out. Now, Todd Haley, who worked in the. building alongside Coach Tomlin, he's. come out and responded, I think probably. after hearing many people talk just like. AJ. This Minecraft that was made by. coach Tomlin makes him even more. impressive. I worked for the great head. coach for six years, and there wasn't a. day that I wasn't astounded at how. prepared he was to prepare the Steelers. I don't know if he ever slept. Now, I.
don't know if he's expecting a retweet. from Minecraft, the Steelers, Coach. Tomlin, or Jay Bailey, but just know. that we gave it to you, Coach Todd. Haley, because we obviously love the way. he called football games and everything. that he has done in the football. universe. So, he's saying it didn't hold. him back from being a coach. Obviously, it didn't. They were able to win, but I. think a lot of people were saying maybe. we nap though, like something, you know, maybe hang hang family, but a lot of. coaches say they golf. >> Mhm. >> So, instead of golfing, he's out there. on the five smoothness. Yeah, on the.
five sensitivity with his family, with. his sons also. That was kind of the. other angle like, hey, you want to hang. out with your family? Sure. Like Bill. Bich and his sons, they coach for him. with him. Mike Mike Tomlin, he's playing. Minecraft with him. I I don't know. I am. kind of torn with it, but. >> that's A LOT OF TIME ON A LOT OF TIME. >> YOU GUYS unbelievable at it. Let's go. back to Nick Moraldo, Pittsburgh. Steelers fan. He's normally very. reasonable about this type of thing. I. just wanted to point out to AJ that uh. you should be very thankful that Mike. Tomlin discovered Minecraft because you.
may not have a Super Bowl ring on that. big fat mangled finger of yours if Mike. wasn't playing that game. Okay. >> Well, I checked I checked the stats, Nick. I think he didn't start till after. like 2012 and I believe we won the Super. Bowl against them before that did. >> So, you actually. >> So, we beat him back in his prime when. he wasn't PLAYING YET. >> THAT'S YOU saying that? >> That was the That's you. >> So, is that more impressive? Is that. even more impressive? He hadn't found. Minecraft yet. >> You tell us. What are you saying, >> AJ? What's the game? >> No, I don't think it is. I think it's. less impressive because once he found. Minecraft, it opened his brain up to.
other ways of thinking. He's shutting. off his football brain. That in turn. makes him a better coach. >> I mean, no wonder they didn't change the. cause on defense for so long. He he. couldn't come up with any different. ones. The only thing. >> we don't think he could come up with any. different ones. He had different shades. in his speak easy. >> That's that's where all of his brain. creativity was going. It sounds like. where where's the new aquarium going? So, uh, the Mace Tomlin, um, family of. Mike Tomlin has responded a couple to a. couple different things. >> Uh, here's his first one of people.
attacking his sensitivity on negative 5. And this is after 12 years. Imagine how. painstaking this was to watch at the. beginning. Hilarious. He's putting bricks down, right? >> Taking forever. still. So maybe not 24,000 hours because. that's just taking into account like if. you're able to operate a system, which. I'm not able to do. I assume he wasn't. able to at the beginning. So maybe we're. pushing maybe 30 40,000 hours in this. entire thing. Mace Tomlin also followed. up saying I'm seeing a lot of people. saying they want to live in Mike.
Tomlin's Minecraft city. What I'm not. seeing is anyone asking what happened to. the villagers that used to live there. >> What is that? What is that? >> THEY HAD A COMMUNITY. I didn't We'll. have to learn more maybe in the next. episode. >> He's coaching too much. He wasn't taking. care of the city. So, all the villagers. left. >> I got my family. I got Steelers family. I don't have time for this family. >> Do people live in these cities? Is that. what happens? >> I don't know cuz Bill kind of laid it. out about how there's a creative uh. >> like Roller Coaster Tycoon. >> Yeah. I'm not sure because Sims Yeah, a. Sims situation. But.
>> theme park back in the day used to do. that. You'd build like you ever do that. on old school computer and then like. people would come and you have to build. bathrooms or backup all that. >> Roller Coaster Tycoon. >> Yeah, I had a park recently. >> Is that what this is like? >> We don't we don't know. >> You're talking to the wrong people. But. Bill came on and said something about. fighting a semi Gordon and all kind of. stuff like what was that part of. >> Minecrafter mostly? Elder Dragon. >> Yeah. Then that's the that's the. campaign of the game that people play. Minecraft is just for the record like. probably the most successful or one of. the most successful selling video games. of all time. They're making movies about. it now.
>> I mean it's not bigger than DoD. >> I think it is. >> Didn't the Colts have a schedule reveal. that had to get pulled down because of. Minecraft or was that something else? >> Yeah. Well, they weren't allowed to use. it. It turns out some other team. licensed it, you know. So, >> yeah, I think Minecraft's got pretty. good little business going. They got. they got head coaches in the NFL locked. in for 12 years. >> That's good game. That's a good game. >> Any freebies come through that door yet? >> As much as you're talking about. Minecraft. >> right now, you're talking about. >> I'm expecting AWS to show up any second.
Some delivery dudes. >> bringing in. >> Well done. >> Right. >> Well done, old man. >> You know what that stands for? Done it, old man. >> Amazon. >> Amazon web services. Yeah, very nice. >> Yeah, we do know. >> How good do you feel about yourself. dropping that little Here are the. creepers that could get you in this. Minecraft that could be. >> Oh, [ __ ] Oh, sure. A lot of varieties. >> Mhm. >> Think about how many of these to just. [ __ ] absolutely murder. Just slice. off the head. >> Do they just tear down what you built? Is that what they do? >> Yeah. Yeah. They destroy your home, your. village, try to attack you,
>> your life. They all look like dongs, but. I'm happy that they do kind of get at. least be. >> World Cup trophies. >> as the blocks in them. Yeah, I agree. A. >> lot of stuff. The characters look like. dogs. >> Block by block. He's gotta I might get. into Minecraft now that I know Mike. Tolman was able to do it. Wow. Uh. >> it's definitely up your alley. >> He was head coach of the NFL. Uh let's. talk about some of the storylines from. this past weekend in a fashion that. we've been doing for the last few weeks. that we have really enjoyed. Now, there's been a couple of these things. that we've seen before, but they haven't. been broken down through the eyes of a.
man who's been there, done that with. everything in football. Ladies and. gentlemen, IT IS TIME FOR WHAT THE CHUCK. WITH CHUCK PAGANO. HEY, what happened. this past week in ball that made you go, "What the Chuck's going on out here?". And is this Chuck in football or what. are we doing around here? >> You know, Pat and the boys. >> situational football we talk about a. lot, right? >> A lot. >> Yes. >> And first down, second down, your run. game, your first second down pass game, all this stuff. There's a bunch of.
sparring going on in these games, but. what's the most important part about. these games? There's going to be five or. six plays, right? Are gonna determine. the outcome. We don't know when those. gonna those are going to occur, right? >> And the play don't care who makes it. >> Mhm. >> Definitely not. Just play hard. All. right. And the ball will find you. Okay. Play don't care who makes it. So, let's. go to the Cowboys. We've had We've. talked about this. Had no Shotty fans, right? >> We love Shotty. >> Hired Shotti. >> Love back in the day. Shotti coached our. quarterback. Shotti's one hell of a.
coach. He's a football lifer. His dad. Marty legendary, right? >> Guy knows ball. But the thing that I. that I question is we all have these. game managers. >> Okay. And analytics people that we got. up in the box. Yeah. And they're helping. you all right with this stuff and. they're guiding you through with. timeouts, when to go for it on fourth. down. There's all kind of books. So, I. know everybody talked about calling a. timeout after the scramble on second. down. All right, get it down to 7.
seconds. So, that third down play, you've got the field goal basically in. the bag, right? Get it down to third the. third down play. This one right here was. 7 seconds to go in the game. Shotty took. accountability for all this stuff, which. we all love, right? Owning owning it, right? Jerry was asking, I don't know. what the Chuck. >> is thinking, >> what the Chuck you're doing. Mhm. >> All right. But why why didn't we give. him a front choice? The guy was wide. open right there. >> Yeah. >> So he said, "Hey, I over coach Dak.".
Dak's been playing for how long? >> Long time. >> Long time. >> So Dak I don't know what Chuck what Dak. was talking about right here. >> Just throw it to his front. Look at how. high Nate is. He's thinking back. shoulder cuz they just tried the back. shoulder, right? So he's playing back. pylon. This front pylon's right there. So freaking Pickkins thinking what the. Chuck just throw me the ball. Why? Just. throw me the ball right there. We got a. walk-off, right? >> This is what we're trying to do here. >> What we're trying to do. Then we go to. the kickoff. >> Makes no sense.
>> And stop it right there. >> Pat, you're a special team so right? You. know special teams as good as anybody. >> Concur. >> Let's just say we're going to kick the. ball to the returner. >> Mhm. >> We've got overtime in the bag, right? >> Yeah. So, the last thing you we're going. to tell the returner is, "Hey, you do. everything within your power to try to. go score.". >> Are we telling him that? >> No. >> Protect what? >> Yeah. Protect the ball. >> So, kick the ball to this returner. He's. not kick it down the middle of the field.
cuz you bring all 10 cover guys into. play. Hold your leverage, right? That. guy's going to be securing the ball. He's not trying to hit a home run. And. and if nothing's there, he's going to go. down and then we're going to overtime. and you're going to bleed every second. But now we kick it here and we give them. the ball at the 35 yard line. >> No seconds run off the clock. >> Yeah. >> Zero seconds run off the clock. Because. we're thinking, okay, because every head. coach would be saying to the defensive. coach like, you mean to tell me we do. not have a defensive call that can keep.
these guys from going 30 yards down the. field and getting the field goal range? >> Yeah. >> You mean you mean to tell me we don't. have a chucking defensive call that. would stop this play right here? What is the call? I say what is the. call? They're in robber. So what happens. here? Stop it right there. They're in. robber. The safety that just jumped Mark. Andrews at the minus 45 yd line. >> What are we doing? Why is he jumping. that dude? It's not a normal robber. where you cut this guy. It's third and.
seven and you go take a guy away at the. stick. The stick is 30 yards down the. field where the goal line where the. field goal uh line to make is. It's way. back there. Then we're disguising. Run. it back, please. I don't know what Chuck. Eleven's doing. He's gonna disguise in. this in this situation. And he's running. to this. He's running to Chuck in center. field. Like, where's he going? He should. be He should be at 40 yards sitting. there flatfooted just reading the. quarterback and breaking downhill on the. chuck and throw.
And why are we rushing four guys? Like, if you're going to rush, outnumber them. Bring six. Get everybody back at this at. that 35 yard line. All right. Where that. line to make is that 40 yardd line and. force the ball out of this guy's hands. right now and break up. Make the tackle. Game over. They don't have a timeout. Right. But we're we're going to play r. You don't. >> Does he have to get the ball out of his. hands if they want any chance on this? >> Yeah, >> he does. So, do you need to rush. anybody? There was a play back in the day where.
the Houston Texans were going to beat. the New Orleans Saints and they had. seven seconds left and all they needed. was like 12 yards and one guy, everybody. was pressed, all right, and one guy was. off. Guess where they threw the ball to. the guy that was off? He caught the. ball, he fell down, he called timeout. and they kicked a gamewinner. So the. next year, what did we put in? We put in. a call called call Saints and we didn't. rush anybody. cuz they had to get the ball out of. their hand. But we doubled every single. receiver and dropped defensive linemen. and the and the ball had to come out so.
that they didn't have an opportunity to. do this. I know uh Jaymack uh you know. talked about double robber rush three. sit two guys back there on that line to. make for the field goal rush rush three. play outside leverage so you protect the. sideline and they can't stop the clock. and then those guys are just sitting. there flat foot and breaking on the ball. >> and this entire SITUATION MADE YOU SAY. WHAT THE SHOT. >> Tyler Loop hits the kick that's all she. wrote we'll get back to that we have a. guest joining us right now who is on. pace to potentially win Heisman as a.
nonquarterback back. Ladies and. gentlemen, joining us now is a man who. already has 600 yards rushing on the. season. Had 1100 uh last year. Now he is. the face of an entirely rebuilt, re-imagined Florida Gator team that is. going to come to your town and run your. ass over. Ladies and gentlemen, running. back Jaden Ball. >> Jaden, >> how you doing, bro? >> I'm doing good. Thanks for having me. >> Thank you so much for joining us. Congratulations on the incredible start. for you and your team. Uh, I had Kirk.
Herbstreet on earlier because he's. calling tonight's Thursday night. football game and uh, he had a question. for you. Do you mind if I get that out. of the way here? >> Oh, yeah. Yeah, go ahead. >> Really cool look by the way, wherever. you are right now. It looks awesome. >> Yeah, no problem. No problem. Herby. wants to know, "What is it about Buster. Falner's system that has really made you. thrive in the offense obviously get off. to such a hot start versus maybe what. you were running before? Is this system. feel like home or does this system feel. like home for you? And why do you think. the boys have rallied so much here?
Well, honestly, I just feel like it goes. from the person who's coaching. Coach. Buster is a guy who's going to demand so. much out of you. He wants the best for. you. And if you can't fit in the. offense, it's more of on you. And the. reason I say that is because it's so. friendly. You see, he's trying to get. the ball to anybody on the field who's. open. And with him doing that, it makes. it a lot easier for me. You know, um my.
old line, they block their butts off. each and every week and they do that by. practicing hard and that's what uh Coach. Buster demands so much for us. But yes, I could say that this offense is. definitely like comfortable for me. >> Not just you, it sounds like it sounds. like everybody. You were brought to. Florida by Napier. Plenty of your stars. are and obviously it's his first year of. summer role coming in as your head. coach. Can you tell me a little bit. about him verse maybe what you were. expecting as a head coach in college. football because he's dunking on. Danloski on the internet. Uh he's given.
speeches burying folks. He's talking. about we need to go kick their ass in. 2026. He feels like a great head coach. Can you tell me your expectations and. what it has been like thus far? >> Oh yeah. Uh I didn't too much expect it. the way his energy is. Um, coach Summer. came in on our first meeting and the. first meeting he just came in with a. bunch of energy and you know from a guy. who's coaching two teams at the time, you wouldn't think he would come in with. that much energy and that much.
excitement to just coach us. And uh, with him doing that, he came in and he. set a standard for just, you know, not. just the football program, the whole. program in general. And I feel like it. didn't change so much because I feel. that we're closer with the basketball. team. We're close with the baseball. We're close with everybody. And it just. trickled down and his his somewhat. outlook on what Florida should be like. is been being proved and we have a long.
way to go to know just set the standard. for like the world to understand that. we're going to be back and we're back. >> What was the messaging going into Old. Miss game? Because obviously the. conversation outside was miss had a huge. win over LSU. Trindad Chamblas is. unguardable, unstoppable no matter who. he's playing. Does coach Summerall. utilize all that while motivating you. guys or like what is his messaging? And. then my last question before the boys. have one, I guess you can kind of add. this in. Playing Missouri this weekend, going to be a vastly different hype.
machine going in there. What is his. messaging to you for that this. particular game as well? >> Uh it's the same message that we had in. going to Old Miss. It's all about us. It's never about them. Uh honestly, it's. just focusing on what we need to do to. go out there and get the dub. Uh. that's all honestly what I can say, you. know, uh I try to write it in my book. each and every day. Focus on us and. whatever we need to do to win the game. >> Self accountability is a crazy thing. Go. ahead, AJ. It really works. It seems. like every successful human on earth has.
accountability to oneself. It I love. that that is uh still being proven as a. success story in college football. Go. ahead, AJ. Yeah, Jaden, going to that, like handling success, we we talk about. a lot of times it's tough handling. success because there's so, you know, so. much more comes your way and there is. distractions and all that stuff. I guess. how do you guys do that? I we understand. that you came in with high expectations. maybe not outside from the outside. looking in. They didn't expect you guys. to be this good, but I guess is that. something you guys think about or talk. about? And is practice actually harder. now probably than it was week one. because you guys have been winning?
>> Oh, yeah. It's always harder. Coach Dim. always on our head regardless of how the. game looked. Um it's one thing like. after every game my mindset just. switched to bloody Tuesday and that's. one of the hardest practice we you know. we're going to have. I don't too much. think about the next you know the next. game. I be more focused on how are we. going to practice and prepare for that. Tuesday because that's where we're going. to get the best improvement out of. Um, yeah, our bodies are going to be tired,
but are we able to push through things. and push through, you know, our bodies. being that tired or, you know, uh, are. we preparing the right way to, you know, practice at a high pace? And if I feel I. feel that if we could do that each week, we're going to be able to, you know, play with anybody in the country. >> Tell me about Bloody Tuesdays. Kirby. Smart does this down in Georgia. I. assume there's multiple coaches that do. this. They I think Kirby credited for. being the reason why the culture is the. culture. It sounds like you as soon as.
the game's over, I'm looking to Bloody. Tuesday is what I'm thinking about. So. this is full offense versus defense ones. ones. We're full go right now. Is that. what happens? And who's been winning on. bloody Tuesdays, the O D? >> I mean, okay. So bloody Tuesday is just. more very very fast-paced. Yeah. You're. going to have your your periods where. we're going against the ones defense and. the it's one's defense, one's offense, and we're just all out. But it's not. where we're just trying to kill each. other, but it's it's going to be very.
physical and it's going to be a high. pace. Um, I personally love it because. it just shows that we can fight through. anything and be able to set ourselves up. for something better and it shows more. improvement for us. You bleed ever on Bloody Tuesday? You're. good. You No. No. >> Oh, no. I'm good. I'm good. >> Smart. I would like to see, you know, the list of who is actually bleeding. Who's it? You know, this entire thing. I. like that the culture though was already.
bought in on this just a few weeks into. the entire regime. Now, you're not the. only one obviously being able to tote. the rock very well. Go ahead, Tone. >> Yeah, Jane. Uh, your uh your teammate. Duke Clark also went over 100 versus. Miss on the ground. How is that. relationship and how are you two in in. distribution of carries and how does. that all all work uh within the. offensive room and stuff like that? >> Well, that's funny you bring it up. Uh. yesterday me and him was actually. watching film together at our crib. Um. me and Duke is like that's like my.
little brother honestly. Uh I teach him. a lot of things and I also learn a lot. of things from him as well just because. we care about the game so much and it's. not just him in our room. I feel that. each back in our room could go do. something great. Like if you look at me, you look at Duke, then you got to go to. that go down to look at Evan Prior, you. got to look at Wendy Montgomery, you got. to look at uh Byron Lewis. It's like. each and every person in our room could. go do some remarkable things. And I. honestly was so proud and every time he.
ran the ball, I had my hands up because. I thought he was going to score every. every chance he got. But uh. I feel like our whole room in general is. just you know very very. loving, caring, and we you know it's. never like no hatred in in our room. We. want to see everybody win. >> Well, it sounds like that's what Summer. wants all of Florida to be like. You. know, I want everybody to win out there. I I like that his messaging is that. we're all Gators. We all Gators, right? >> They were all.
>> all Trumping out here. I like that. And. then they also, hey, we're going to. >> we need to kick the [ __ ] out of this. That is his messaging, right? Like he. wants you guys to clearly be the tougher. football team than the other team on the. field. Right. >> Right. Always. >> Yeah. I love that. That it feels like. that team always ends up doing very. well. the team that wants to be tougher. than the other team, tries to be. tougher, trains to be tougher than the. other team, inevitably wins cuz in the. fourth quarter when it's late, you know, in the back of your mind, we're tougher.
than this team, which matters in. football, especially in a physical. I. like to hear that out of you and out of. summer. Let's talk about the the swamp, though. I haven't had a chance to go. down there and experience it yet. Hoping. sometime. Go ahead, Ty. >> Yeah, Jaden. you know, growing up and. like when some of us were in college, the the swamp was such a clear-cut. homefield advantage for Florida. And. obviously the last couple years, you. know, it hasn't been quite the same when. you guys have kind of been trying to get. back there. But this year, it feels like. it, you know, it's right back to where. it was when T-Bo was playing there or. Chris Leak or, you know, you name it.
How big of an advantage is that? And. does it feel like, you know, when you. guys are playing at home, like it it's. much different this year than it has. been in years past? Well, yeah. Honestly, I can say the. swamp has always been the swamp. It was. uh if you look at it, if you was ever to. come in there, if we were down, if we. were up, they were all going to be in. there. Each fan was going to be in there. still cheering us on regardless of the. outcome of the game. Um, I could. definitely say that if you were ever to. come in the swamp, it's going to be a.
movie. And a lot of people don't really. understand that just because, you know, they're looking at it on TV. But being. able to come in the swamp, like just. that, even the gator walk, it's just. different. You just feel different. Like. you feel like a like I don't I can't. it's not it's like a cloud over your. head that you just know like oh man it's. going to be it's going to be trouble. here if you were on the opposing side. >> Congratulations to you being a massive. piece of Florida being all the way back. Not that you were ever gone but you get. what I'm saying. We can't wait to watch. you the rest of the way. Good luck and. thank you for taking time.
>> Thank you. >> So we got two sunroofs in that thing. We. got uh. >> Yeah. Yeah, you've earned it all, brother. Good luck, Jaden B. >> That is a part of it, though. That is a. huge piece of these modern-day college. athletes is like they've had to be. they've been forced to deal with adult. money at a very young age, like adult. money, super adult money, which comes. with a lot of adult pressures, taking.
care of your people, what are you doing. with your money, how do you spend your. money? Looks like the LRAP's doing a. great job. Phenomenal work back there, lad. Straight out the Ram trucks, you. have been doing great. Don't get down on. yourself. We're on to the next play. Adversity. time. Hey. Hey. 60 minutes. All you got. Don't judge. Ain't that right? >> Next play. Absolutely. >> Next play, dude. Don't judge. We'll. judge at the end. You'll get mocked and. ridiculed for that certainly at some. point uh after the show, but right now,
next play. Way to bounce back with the. Ram. But that is something I think. they've been forced to deal with since. they're like teenagers. And not that it. hasn't been happening for some people. allegedly behind closed doors and under. the table and everything like that, but. these dudes are being pro ang. I mean, there's a million dollar softball. pitcher down there. These younger. generation of athlete are now like, hey, you come from next to nothing. Uh, here's a million dollars. Good luck. You. know, and it's like, uh, I have a whole. community. I have a family. Uh, my.
family's never seen this type of money. before. Oh, here comes somebody who. really has my best interest in mind. A. financial person. Hey, you should see. where I could do that. Do the drawing. board that old buddy did on Hard Knocks. 11%. You give me this, you give me this. And then all it's like there's so many. decisions that have to be made that are. so like long-term repercussion. decisions, let alone agents. What. percentage are they taking? What deals. are real? It's like these guys having to. go through this [ __ ] as teenage guys and. girls having to go through this as. teenagers and these families having to. go through it. There has to be a. maturity process that comes alongside of.
that that will benefit them in the long. run. But I think in the meantime, that's. a lot of pressure on these young cats. >> Well, and being able to handle it, that's something that the pros are. looking at. Like Schneider, I feel like. came on and talked about how like, hey, you know, a lot more about some of these. college kids because of the fact that. they've had a bunch of money. So, being. responsible and knowing exactly what. you're doing doesn't just benefit, you. know, right away because of course that. does. you keep your circle tight and. everything, but in the long run it's. going to because some of these NFL. teams, if you have a bunch of people and. you know, you're kind of very frugal. with your money. There's two ways to.
look at it. Like one, yes, he's taking. care of people, but two, he's not really. thinking about it and there's too many. people that are out there taking. advantage of him. Whereas, if you do, you know, know what you're doing and. look after the the right things, then. those NFL teams are going to know that. and see that. Well, and I think in. college too, like just like the car. situation for example, like in the NFL, you know, if guys do whatever, you get. [ __ ] online for fantasy, you know, I I. lost my bet. But the large majority of. like fans like they would never say [ __ ]. to an NFL player to their face, you.
know? Like that's never happening. Like. you pull up on campus driving like some. a nice car and you had a shitty game on. Saturday, like [ __ ] college kids will. egg your car, do what? You know what I. mean? Like you're dealing with a lot. more of that. You still have to go to. class. I mean, who knows? A lot of these. kids are probably online, but like. you're you're eating that a lot more day. in and day out than than people in the. NFL probably are. >> How many horror stories did we see with. adults? >> Yes. >> I mean, I got 30, 31, 32 year old grown. men coming into my office, closing the. door, and break down in tears and tell.
me that somebody just took them for. everything they had. I got stories of of. guys coming and saying like, "How come. you need 30 tickets and like 15 hotel. rooms for the road?" Because I've got. people like coming to me and saying, "Hey, this guy's got like what what is. this guy's got? >> I got family. I got f." And we used to. sit them down and say, "Hey, listen. Like, you're making a ton of money. You. have to ask yourself this question. Are. these people going to be around when you. don't have any?" Like, if you give this.
all away and you have zero, all your all. your guys, all you guys at home you grew. up with, like, are they going to be. around? And I'm telling you the answer. is no. They're gonna go to the they're. gonna go to the next dude. So the. >> it's hard to it's much harder to do than. say you know like. >> no grow up with these people community. I mean everything though it's just like. >> you know there's. >> I mean I could talk about myself as. somebody who felt obligated to like help.
and give back to like everybody. And. it's like I didn't get the pressure from. people to like hey I need this but I got. pitched ideas. I get, hey, this is a. this needs a cause. This needs a cause. This is happening. This is happening. And it's like I'm just like a a tiny. part of that, let alone what happens. other places. It's like a lot easier to, you know, say, "Hey, in theory, you. should cut these people out than to. actually cut them out." Because there's. like some real legitimate fears, I. think, of some people turning their back. on their community and how they're I. mean, it's. >> And we know people that actually took.
their family out of certain places. They. had to get them out cuz they couldn't go. back anymore. >> Exactly. cuz they weren't giving enough. >> They're not giving it. And they're like, really? Oh, you're going to become that. dude, huh? >> Yeah. Sell out. You've changed. Then we used to tell them, you got to. set boundaries, but get a financial guy, get somebody to be the bad guy. So when. they call an ass, say, "Okay, hey, give. my guy a call." He'll let you know of. what we can give and how we can do it. Yes. And then and then he'll get him on. the phone and say, "Hey, look, all our. money's tied up," or whatever it is. And.
let him be the bad guy, so you don't. have to be that person. >> Yeah. It's a It's a tough thing to deal. with. We obviously, you tell that story. Me and AJ been in the locker room. We've. seen guys. I mean, I came back from my. second year. I think I had like 2500. bucks in the bank account cuz I had a. hell of an off season. If I did not make. the team that year, I would uh obviously. be trying to figure out what plan B was. at that time. So, that was that's me. My. first time getting money. I'm 22 years. old. We just go to the Super Bowl. It's. like I can go to where? Everywhere.
Yeah. Wherever you want. I watch Wild on with Brooke Burke. There's a couple places I would like to. go see. You know, go ahead. I would like. to go see these things. And then, you. know, you talk to yourself like, well, you shouldn't spend the money, though. You shouldn't this money, you know? It's. like, but what do I make the money for. then? You know, and. >> I've always wanted to do this, never had. the opportunity. Now I do. Who would I. be to say no to this situ? And then that. just starts rolling and then all of a. sudden it's like this is the biggest. training camp of my life here. Holy.
hell. I am uh I need to figure this one. out. But that's me personally, my story. That's why every time I see these. 18-year-olds, 17 year olds, hey, this. kid has been given 6 million bucks. It's. like. >> who who's around him? Oh, this is the. first time anybody around has had any. It's like that's a lot of pressure to be. putting on these teenagers to decide. where it goes, how it goes, who gets. what, when it gets what. And it's like. it seemingly has gone much better than I. think we are maybe painting the worst. case scenario picture. But I do think it.
is helping them long term deal with. everything. Hopefully that 80% or 70%. absolutely bankrupt professional athlete. thing doesn't continue because that was. alarming there for a while. Very. alarming. Which is why I'm happy for any. ex player that has a profession or job. that uh they're able to take care of. themselves. It's why I'm happy for them, you know. >> Yeah. >> Happy for them to not go bankrupt. >> Some people are just always miserable. >> It does feel like that. I've run into. all of them, I think. Yeah,
>> they're kind of making me miserable, which is what they misery loves company. >> Bingo. That's what they say. That is. what they say. >> But I don't know if they just love. company or that's just the only way they. are. And then because of how they are, other people get miserable. >> Misery needs misery. >> Both. >> I think it breeds. >> breeds. Loves company. Loves company. Right. >> They always say it loves. We just We. were just talking about. >> clean out your ears like that. Hey, watch your mouth. >> Watch your mouth. >> That's the only thing you can really do. is watch mouths. I can't hear him right. now. >> He said chuck off.
>> He did say chuck off. >> What's that? >> Misery loves company, right guys? >> That's what they say. I've heard that a. time or two. >> I'll tell you what. >> Here to go. >> AJ disrespect in this building. >> I don't get it, Chuck. I don't get. positivity breeds positivity, though. I. think that attracts positive people. attract other positive people. >> Osmosis. I do believe positive vibes uh. osmosis to others. And I don't think. misery loves anything. So, like that's. why I think that particular one might. not be right. I think they just kind of. infect, you know. I think misery like.
infects others with misery, but we can't. let it get us down. >> No. No, we can't. >> No, we can't. >> Never have, never will. >> I kind of been having though. It's been. It's been a lot. He's been bringing me. But hey, we got ball, we got life. We. don't just only have those two things. We also have massive time for MLB. Yeah. Massive time for NHL. Let's start with. MLB wild card because I've been seeing a. lot of celebrations in locker rooms and. I love them every single time. Ty, felt. like a pretty massive day and night last.
uh yesterday for MLB. >> Yeah, we had games at the uh same time, same teams played at the same times. early. Uh so in the the first game, Philly's Braves, another just absolutely. incredible game. uh late Bryce Harper. who moved to outfield in this game. He. he botches a fly ball and it allows the. Braves to take a lead and you're you're. kind of thinking, "Oh boy, did the the. Phillies just kind of trick this one. off. They need to win today. He redeems. himself later." Kyle Schwarber goes. yard. He goes yard right after that. And.
then Alec Bow later in extra innings, uh. he gets a base hit and the Phillies beat. the Braves. So they that is the only. game three. All of the other wildcard. games ended last night. You talk about. the celebrations in the uh the locker. room. Once again, Munitaka Murakami is. just he's he's that dude. Um if you can. get a microphone in front of this guy, it doesn't matter if you can understand. what he says. He doesn't care. I don't. know if we have the audio on this. >> Go back to the beginning of this one. Run the audio. >> Yeah. Just listen to this.
>> Congratulations. >> THANK YOU SO MUCH. I WISH WE WOULD ALSO HAVE THE part where. he goes hung over. Yeah. >> And she goes, "Tomorrow." He goes, "Yesterday? Today?". >> No, tomorrow. >> I DON'T SPEAK ENGLISH. >> AND THEN HE points at his translator. He's drunk. >> Just unbelievable. >> Just the joy that sports bring. And. think about that guy can't even speak. the same language as a lot of the people. in the locker room or us as sports fans.
And we are all in on him and the entire. team is rallying around. That's why. sports are the greatest thing on earth. >> I have a question for you because. baseball does it right. When they clinch. the playoffs, when they clinch division, there's a party in the locker room. When. they win a playoff series, there's a. party in the locker room. You guys, you. guys didn't tarp off the locker room and. and squirt beer everywhere after every. single playoff win in the football in. NFL, do you? >> No. And is this every single playoff. win? >> Oh, yeah. Every single series. >> Yeah. Yeah. So, not every single playoff.
win. Every single series win. Uh I was. never a part of a big spraying locker. room, I don't think. Were you in. >> No, it was a Hey, you enjoy this 24-hour. rule. Go home and enjoy this. But we. haven't done [ __ ] yet. >> Yeah, that is baseball every single. playoff season. >> AJ, do you guys do spraying? I know the. XFL, remember the XFL had big spray. Let's do the thing. >> I don't Maybe I've seen a Super Bowl. celebration where they're spraying. I've. never been a part of a spray in the. locker room celebration. >> I have not even. Yeah, even post Super. Bowl there was not like a It wasn't.
tarped off. There wasn't like champagne. spray situation. I mean, guys are. exhausted obviously, but in your eye, like I don't want that [ __ ] all over me, I think, is our view. But for baseball, it's perfect. I hope they continue to do. that. And I love this Chicago White Sox. team getting a dub. Uh because Dro came. on the other day and he said, "I kind of. like I got some cheese on actually the. White Socks to steal one against. Houston. That ends up being right." He. was wrong about a couple other things, but a baseball has been delivering in a. massive way and the celebrations are. spectacular.
>> Yeah. And the White Socks have stunk for. a really long time. they hadn't won a. playoff game in over a thousand days. And for Murakami especially, but you go. back to before the season started, you. know, he was getting a lot of. comparisons like, "Hey, this guy's the. next great Japanese player." And then. right after he got posted, teams were. kind of like, "Actually, this guy kind. of stinks. He's not going to be able to. hit uh major league pitching." And. that's why he wound up with the White. Socks. I think a lot of people assumed, hey, Dodgers, Yankees, you know, like. the the usual suspects would sign him. They didn't think he would be very good. The White Socks were kind of the only. team who gave him him an opportunity.
He's obviously an all-star. He's one of. the faces of the playoffs. And no one. would have thought that the White Socks. would have been the team from Chicago to. to make it to the playoffs. The Cubs. again last night after an unbelievable. season. Pico Armstrong's probably going. to win the MVP. But this Padres's team, we talked about it a little bit with Dro. yesterday. They have a serious homefield. advantage in San Diego. Uh you can hear. it in in one of the videos. They have a. pinch hitter Gavin Sheets come up in the. fourth inning. The entire crowd is. chanting, "Holy sheets, holy sheets,
holy sheets." He hits a home run after. they do that. Just unbelievable scenes. >> Holy sheets. Holy sheets. >> And then, yeah, he hits a massive bomb. pinch hit. It was his only atbat of the. game. And then that's the other thing. with the Padres's we talked about with. Dro. If they can get a league, uh they. have Mason Miller. They have one of the. best bullpens in baseball. And then. lastly, the Yankees uh embarrassed the. the Red Sox again. Um beat the [ __ ] out. of them again. And uh so now it's it's. all business with the Yankees. They're. moving on to the race. >> Okay. I heard there was another pitching.
thing with the Red Sox. So, we're using. data analytics. I saw Tuli for four. innings. Your ace only went five innings. and then it had all completely unravel. after that. Wh how come there's so much. chatter about pulling the ace so early. and why are we doing that? >> Yeah, I don't know. Basically, the same. exact thing happened immediately after. the game. They asked the players about. it. Some guys refused to respond. The. pitcher said like, "Yeah, I would have. liked to see the lineup one more time.". So, who knows? Ty said uh Chad Tracy the. interim manager now um full-time manager. because of how good a job that he did.
I'm basically a little in over his skis. I believe is how it was referred to. Huge bummer. Um it was a great season. It was really fun. This is the only. reason you kind of show up though is for. the playoffs and I mean they lost a. combined I think 17-2 so it wasn't. really that fun when it comes to the. baseball season. Uh but hey look, we. figured it out. Miranda, next year we're. gonna have our starters pitch a little. more. And I mean, Ty also mentioned it. >> Are you? I don't think you are. I I. think you are a team that's not going to. have your pick.
>> Maybe. Well, we're gonna have to find. out. Uh, and I'm waited with baited. breath until, you know, opening day in. April. >> Okay. It wasn't just MLB wild card. yesterday with the massive implications. I don't know if you know this. 84 games. for hockey this year. AJ Hawk. >> Yep. Added two. >> I don't know if you saw this. Pittsburgh. Penguins won by a touchdown and extra. point. >> Oh boy. I didn't know that much. >> 7 nothing Pittsburgh Penguins beat the. Philadelphia Flyers in Philadelphia. Sydney Crosby. I needed him to have an. apple. Oh, first goal. Gets an apple. No.
problem. How you doing? Keep it moving. In year 22. My god. >> Now the Pittsburgh Penguins obviously a. little bit older squad. There's Tanger. with a passive deflection and another. goal. It's up one nothing about to. become two then three then four then. five then six then seven nothing. It's. hard to do in hockey, obviously, even on. opening night, but the Pens absolutely. slaughter the Flyers. Congratulations to. us being awesome. Now, can the OLADs. survive two more games being added to. the regular season in 84 games? We shall.
see. I appreciate that for us. Nick, there was a couple other games that took. place last night as well as TNT, I. believe, started their NHL slate. Any. other notables? McKinnon, I see, went. absolutely crazy, Nick. Yeah, Nate. McKinnon put on a show you had two goals. in. Uh, got into a scrap. He's not known. for his fighting ability, but he threw. down and stuck up for his teammates and. it was a pretty good tilt. >> McKinnon obviously one of the best. players in all of hockey, Nathan. He is. a Canadian. He's best friends with. Sydney Crosby and HE PUT THE. >> WOW, THIS IS MY FIRST TIME seeing the. fight. He had two goals. I knew he had a.
big one. >> He kind of just absolutely killed that. >> Watch the helmet toss. It's makes it so. much cooler. >> 64 third period here. Get the hell out. of here. McKinnon. Uh, not known as. scrapper big though. The the Avalanche. team's Holy [ __ ] With a slash. Okay. Hey, I don't like that. Oh, is this what. you want to do right now? Yeah. Get the. hell out of here. All right. Let's do. >> out of here. >> How about this, lad? I'm better at. hockey than you. And you're about to. find out very quickly. I'm better. FIGHTER THAN YOU, TOO. BANG. BOOM. BOOM. BOOM. BOOM. BOOM. HE GOES FOR THE THE.
shirt or the uh the sweater. Bang. Guy I. think guy quits there. Says I'm going. down to the ice end this thing. And. McKinnon says I that's all you're what. if he gets into 84 fights this season. >> He's on pace for 84 fights this season. and on pace for uh. >> 68 goals. >> McKinnon might break all the records. this year. Look out how Gordy. >> everything that you did McKinnon might. be doing all season long. Any other. games last night? Any other notable. outcomes? >> Yeah, Toronto uh got a win. They lost.
opening night and then they played back. toback. So, they played again last night. at home against the New York Islanders. and they got a two to1 win. >> Flyers have another game tonight. I. believe they're traveling up to like New. Jersey or something as it was 7 nothing. I heard the commentators go Flyers are. back on it tomorrow. It's like good. luck. What a terrible start to an 84. game run. And then, well, tonight we. have hockey across the board. It's. easier to watch because ESPN and YouTube. TV have a deal going. Go ahead, comment. >> Yeah, being able to link them together. So, all the hockey games we know are.
typically on ESPN. I think there is one. on Amazon tonight, Calgary verse the. Kraken. Um, but because of that, just. the multiv- view, it's so much better of. an experience. You can watch them all. Like that's the reason I was able to. watch Gavin McKenna opening night. because you can watch them through the. YouTube TV if you connect them with. ESPN. >> God, four bucks. >> Game changer. >> The best. >> The best. >> How come some of my um devices, phone, iPad, TV, I do it all. Mhm.
>> I I don't do the laptop. Can't four. bucks, I think, on the laptop. >> No, you can't. >> Uh, which drives me insane. >> Well, I don't know what we're doing. here. You know, why can I do it on my. iPad with a keyboard, but you can't do. it on the laptop thing? How come some of. them take so long to change the audio. when I go to the other one? >> That's a good question. >> Do you guys have that when it's in one. box and you go over? >> Yeah, sometimes it's very quick. On some. devices, it's very quick. Other devices. there's like a almost 20 second delay, I. think. >> You think something's wrong? Yeah, I. always think something's wrong, but is.
it just our connection or what is it? >> I don't know. I genuinely don't know cuz. it doesn't happen all the time. Like. I'll do it on my phone. I have Ford box. If I'm traveling and there's something. happening like phone always good for me, I flip over. It's immediate. I mean, go. there. iPad I believe immediate TVs. Whenever I'm on there, I go over. somebody's doing an interview. Oh, postgame. Boom. Would like to hear that. >> Done. Yeah. >> I can't hear a damn thing. They're on. the last TV. I get so upset about that. I I Why don't we do it? I thought we had. the best thing ever and it's four bucks. Now I can't hear things. And then once.
it's passed, you go back. Guess what? Now dog chase tail here. This thing has. no idea where to go. And now I'm a. minute without sound. Yeah. And I'm uh. I've missed everything. I I've kind of. blown it all with that. That's my only. complaint about the four box. Other than. that, it was made for sports. That is. literally what it was made for, and we. are grateful for that. >> Good thing with the fourbox is you can. click into it and rewind. So, like let's. say you have four games on for an entire. game. You can go into any of them and. rewind it if you do miss something like. that just for future reference. It does.
kind of what's the word for it? Not. record it, but it has that past that. you've watched in that quad box. >> Tonight, Flyers, Devils, Blackhawks, Mammoth. >> Oh, Tus. >> Tus. >> AJ won't do it even though we. >> How are they going to be this year? No, my jackets have a big game tonight. >> Oh, your jackets have a big one here. Nobody's going to see. Hopefully people. watch it. There is a big game tonight. that we're probably going to be. watching. And also, we have uh I believe. a bit of a super boost on this evening.
I don't know when it goes live. I think. I probably should know that at this. stage of life, right? >> 5:00 it'll go live. >> 5 p.m. before the game. >> 5 p.m. Okay, Chuck knows. Okay, I like. that. What the Chuck? I like that you're. the authority on this. Uh 5:00 PM it'll. go live. What is our super boost tonight. for this Thursday Night Football matchup. before Chuck dives in and tells us who. he likes? >> Yeah, we have a tasty little treat. tonight and it involves both. quarterbacks uh tonight. Both veteran. quarterbacks tonight. Each of them uh to. throw for 160 plus yards, boosted to.
plus 100. This has happened in five of. the six games uh that these two have. played in uh this year. So, it's pretty. good odds there. But, you know, as. always, bet responsibly. >> Yeah, please bet responsibly. It was. boosted to plus 100 which we like which. uh means that it was uh you know minus. row 140. >> minus 130 which means in theory. >> odds on to happen. Now if it doesn't we. don't want to hear about it. >> No n. >> you should definitely tell us you're. disappointed. We're disappointed too. But don't please don't be sending us. messages telling us your kid's going to.
die now because they can't eat because. of the bad that you did. Be responsible. to yourself. >> No. No. >> What? >> Don't keep Don't do it. Don't have that. happen. Don't put yourself in a. situation. Agreed. >> We need you to gamble responsibly. For. instance, yesterday I told you boys, >> Sydney Crosby assist tonight, opening. night in Philadelphia. >> Yeah. >> Max unit responsibly. >> Responsibly. >> feels like a Penguins in Phil. Max. responsibly. Max unit that thing. >> But your max unit has to be a.
responsible number and you have to be. working down from there. >> That's right. >> Let's make sure we're not [ __ ] AJ, because you'll ruin it for everybody. >> Yeah. We don't want that. We need to. police everybody else. >> AJ hates that we have to say this for. other adults, but we we. >> 18 plus. It's 18 plus, right? >> Yeah. I believe I believe 21 some. >> I agree. It is good to remind people, but it is not our responsibility to hold. them accountable for being an idiot. >> Yeah. But we would like to advocate for. >> Yeah. Like I'm advocating for them to be. responsible as well. I don't want any. little kids going starving because old.
dad, you know, was betting on the the. Steelers and has no money left and, you. know, owes a bunch of money to all kind. of different random bookies, too, on top. of this. >> Well said. >> That's what I'm talking about. We we do. not want that. Now, >> we have heard of these stories though. happening and we certainly feel terrible. for the people that fall into it. But. you are not going to win in this in the. end. You are going to end up losing a. lot more than you win. There's only been. like one person that's ever really won. this is uh going to a gas station and. saying yeah a little scratch off here.
Yeah, maybe but a little bit more. research because you know how many of. those winners are in that particular gas. station potentially. So be responsible. Don't be an [ __ ] DraftKings is. available nationwide. We'd love for you. to come join us if you agree to do it. responsibly because I don't want to see. another sit down interview with somebody. telling the story of how gambling ruined. their life. >> Right? >> Don't do Don't be that guy or girl. >> Don't do it. I'll tell you what, my. wife's been dabbling a little bit. >> Oh, nice. >> She She was seeing it there one weekend. and then not at all the next and then.
she's kind of a hit or miss type. gambler, but I do believe that is this. is all just to make the watching. experience a little bit better. So, responsibly. >> Responsibly. >> No. >> Nothing like having a little stake in. the game. >> Oh, jeez. >> Just a a responsible amount of cheese. >> Just a responsible. >> Yeah, exactly. I don't need I don't need. you guys. Well, go to. >> AJ hates that we have to remind people. to be responsible every every single. time. >> You got to do it. >> Well, he's he's kind of right. I mean, is on that. >> I treat people like adults. I give him.
the benefit of the doubt. >> Well, from our understanding, uh, legally, we're not allowed to do that. And also, >> I'm not either. I'm not doing that. I'm. advocating for responsible gambling. You. know that. >> Not only legally, but I feel I do feel. an obligation because I think a lot of. our people that watch our show are the. community that is probably doing this. So I would like our community to. represent this first generation of this, right? You know, because this is going. to h sports gambling is going to be. legal. >> for the rest of time. >> I agree with that 100%. >> So there's a lot of things happening.
right now with this generation of sports. gamblers where it's like we kind of get. the chance to set the tone on what this. is, you know, and what people expect. So. let's be responsible about it. Let's not. be [ __ ] because it's better for all. of us whenever this is going. On that. note, >> we need a guy to get good quick. >> I mean, who. >> who's that? What the chuck? >> COACH PAGAN IS ONE AND TWO. >> EXCUSE ME. Oh my god. >> Excuse me. >> OH MY. SO, let's be super responsible. with what you're about to hear now,
Chuck. There is a long, long season. left. >> That number can change with the. quickness to 13-2. >> You can obviously go on a run. You can. find a heater. We hope that is tonight. How do you see tonight's game going? And. what are some numbers we should maybe be. paying attention to? Well, >> and would you like some sage? >> Yeah. >> Yeah. >> Yeah. I need. >> Absolutely. >> This is smudging. I think if we burn a. little bit of this sage right here. >> Yeah. >> Do it around his head.
>> The bad demons and the bad picks that. I've been having. >> Yeah. >> Get that thing going. >> Yeah. So, sage. >> Put it on my notes. >> Yep. >> Uhhuh. >> There you go. >> Yeah. >> My middle. daughter Taylor's a naturopath. >> What? And we moved into a new home. We. smudged. Get rid of the demons. >> So that's smudging right now. >> This is called smudging. >> cuz you're smudging the bad North. American indigenous uh type of deal. >> Okay. >> Okay. And your middle daughter is a.
what? >> Naturopath doctor. >> A doctor in sage. >> She's a doctor in a lot of things. Healing. >> Okay. >> Healing. >> Natural healing. >> She got a website called Love Heal. Evolve. And she can get you right. I. didn't know this was a commercial. I. should have known. No, the last time. Sage, by the way, I would I would. definitely love for you to go love, heal, and ununite.com. >> Well, you've had stuff like this is we. do this a lot. This is probably. >> also happy birthday to your sister. >> and happy birthday to you. Happy.
birthday to. >> Constance. Yeah, happy birthday, >> Connie. >> Constance was the 26th. >> and we missed it this year. >> Happy birthday to her. She knows that we. still love her. She was the uh first. ever American suma wrestler. That's. right. Over in Japan. >> In Japan. And And she was unbelievable. We don't have time to talk about. Constance. Thank you. We love her. Happy. birthday to her. We missed it. >> Rivalry game. >> for. Okay. Let's just make sure we understand. this. That Sage he was smoking. >> Yeah. >> I would like to make sure that we.
understand that Sage right there. >> Mhm. >> It's been sage. >> I know his middle daughter's a doctor in. sage. >> Yep. >> I think I know it pretty good, too. >> Yeah. >> I think I I'm maybe uh bachelor. Well, she's the one who told me to bring this. over here several years ago and say, "Hey, give this to Pat. Let's get the. demons out of the Thunderdome if there. are any.". >> So, that's that's on us. >> Kind of. >> No, you've been doing this for Look at. the success. >> Do we have to chant or anything? >> Yeah. >> You can't look at I mean, look at the. success.
>> It's probably because of the smudging. >> Maybe a little. >> We be smudging. You know what I mean? >> Smudging to the right. Hey, >> smudging to the left. I smudge into the. woman that I love best. We be smudging. >> Hopefully this [ __ ] works for you cuz. you can't see the [ __ ] board. No. kidding. >> So hopefully you get one right here, baby.
>> We got two minutes. Chuck, if you want. to get to that or just kind of keep. >> rivalry game. We got two good defenses. All right. We've had a couple offenses. Pittsburgh got going last week. Cleveland's really struggled. Um we. heard all the numbers about, you know, Cleveland hadn't lost in nine nine. games. Mike McCarthy's got a great. record, this that and the other. Um you. know, throw throw these stats out in. this game. I was part of this rivalry. the first four years of my coaching. career in the National Football League. at the Browns. This was pregame. William.
Green, our number one draft pick out of. Boston College running back. him and. Joey Porter senior. >> Who knows if he's still a Steeler or. not. Junior's out of there. I mean, he. always probably they got into an alter. altercation. Some said there might have. been some spat either way, but they fist. fought. Both got ejected before kickoff. And uh yeah, this is like there's no. love lost in this one. This is going to. be a Donnie Brook. This is going to be. good oldfashioned Donnie Brook right. here. Smash them. Too good defense. I.
don't see a lot of points being scored. You said the overunder is at 38. I'm. thinking this thing flies under. You. guys say sneaky over. I don't see that. happening. Rudy, this Rutenberg, the. defensive coordinator for the Browns, he's done a heck of a job with this. defense. They got they got dogs. The. biggest question, here's the biggest. matchup deal is that vaunted pass rush. of Steelers versus this O line that's. bang. Last time I took a shitty O line, >> all right, at home. >> opening, you know, home opener, Green. Bay, this that and the other, they got.
throttled. >> They couldn't block nothing. So, 20. seconds. >> Yeah. So, I'm thinking uh I'm thinking. Steelers tonight. >> Wow. >> I love Hey, and don't get me wrong, 20. seconds. I love Monk. I love what he's. doing there. It's a rebuild. They're. young. They got two new starters at the. right side, the center. First time. starting at center. I don't I don't see. it happening tonight for them. >> Steelers minus 2 and a half in Cleveland. to kick off week four of the NFL season. tonight on Prime. Now, big day with Big. Shrekes breaking down all the big plays. is next. >> Oh, hell yeah.
>> Absolutely. Oh, hell yeah. Now, who do. you like? >> Who do you like? So, I can take the same. thing after that out. >> Wow. That we That's the one they send. in. So, they're doing it. You know what. I mean? That's the one they say they're. doing it. AJ, were you surprised with. the Steelers minus two and a half there? We kind of put it on him to make a quick. decision with the sage blowing in his. face as well. Shout out to the natural. path doctor, his daughter, uh, for kind. of figuring that all out. Steelers minus. 2 and a half. Felt like that was going. to be the pick of the Thunderdome. Okay.
just because of what we saw from the. Pittsburgh Steelers last week saying, "Oh, their defense is going to be great. We know that offense doesn't look inept. Cleveland Browns fun. story. This is very fun. We're very. happy for the Browns. But it does feel. like the Steelers real football team.". Then you start listening to the stats, start looking at the stats, and it's. going to be at home. Cheap Tricks going. to be performing at halftime. >> Okay. They're only going to get better, you would assume. AJ, how did you think. Chuck was going to go? And after. listening to him, have you waffled even.
more? Because there's been some waffling. in the Thunderdome, I will have you. know. >> Oh, yeah. >> Yeah, there has been some waffling and I. I believe uh there's been some waffling. with success to where, you know, I some. I used to I usually trust my instincts. when it comes to this kind of stuff. Obviously, my instincts from the jump. were the Pittsburgh Steelers here. I. didn't even know how much of a favorite. they were. Two and a half. I'm good with. that number. I the Browns scare me a. little bit, especially at home on. Thursday night, but I was uh I was on. Steelers early and hearing Chuck go. through his whole situation. I am going.
to stick with the Steelers minus two and. a half on the road. >> Okay, toxic table at Boston Conor at Ty. Schmidt. Con man has been waffling. >> all morning. This guy's been dancing on. either side here. I think he likes the. thought that cheap tricks potentially. going to be performing. I want. you to want me. I need you to name me.
>> I love you. >> Can't wait for that. I mean, Kirk. Herbstre said he's going to take a quick. dump, get back up there and make sure he. could see it tonight in his six minutes. Con man, what have you been? Has Cheap. Trick kind of put you over the top there. or where do you kind of land at this. exact moment? It definitely has put me. over the top just cuz I was hoping for. the Gallagher boys and the Oasis to kind. of go out there and put on a show. Um, but it is one of those things we talk. about it with stats. It's like unless. it's 100% I don't want to hear it. And. then Tony lists off all these stats.
It's damn near 100% for the Browns on. Thursday night. So, it's like I I feel. like I should be taking Cleveland plus. two and a half, but I I just don't think. I can get there because of the offensive. line versus Cam Hayward, you know, and. TJ and uh. >> big. >> Beckton is I'm I'm missing the uh new. DTackle from Oregon who you guys got. last year as a rookie. >> Oh, who called who who called Ball Game? >> Yeah, Benton. Unbelievable. He was one. of those stars against the Patriots two. weeks ago. But yeah, I just ah [ __ ] I'll.
take the Browns plus two and a half. ACTUALLY, >> I WANT BUCKET. I WANT BUCKET TO BE GOOD. SO BAD. >> SO BAD. >> SO BAD. >> FIVE career games, Aaron Rogers versus. the Browns, 11 touchdowns, one. interception. >> Oh, you say what? >> I mean, that's a I mean, it's hard for. me to. >> What? You say what? >> It's just hard for me. Like, I. understand that like logos playing. against logos. produce certain types of things, >> but teams are so different.
>> Yeah. I I don't know how it always ends. up being the case. It's true. Like when. these two teams play, it's like these. two teams, Mike McCarthy's the head. coach. He's like an offensive guru. That. is not how these teams have been ever. Bill Coward, defensive guy, special. teams guy. I mean, you go through. Tomliner, defensive guy, special teams. guy. It's like such a different team, it. feels like, than what it was in the. past. But I guess logos always do kind. of end up playing the same type of game. every single time. I I still don't. understand why that is, but I love it. Yeah, just like to your point in that.
conversation with the Browns, like the. Monin I I forget what the exact uh. number was, but I believe the overunder. is 17 and a half team total points for. the Browns and Monin's gone under like. only 15% of his career games as a head. coach in a play call. So, it's one of. those things too like, well, yeah, the. Browns are ground and pound, have a good. running back and everything, but Monin, he isn't really like that. He'll spin. the ball around the yard. So, it's. >> so different. It's just like such a. different team that is playing against. each other. Different mindset, different.
cultures, different everything. And it's. going to look like a Steelers Browns. game. We all think, right? >> Yes. >> It's crazy. Why is that, AJ? >> Football goes. >> I don't know how that does work. It is. weird, but I think uh it would be a. little easier to pick the Browns if the. Steelers didn't kind of have that. offensive, you know, output that they. had last week and kind of shown that. they can be an explosive offense and. push the ball down the field. >> Explosion, you'd say the offensive. explosion, as you would call it. I think. anybody would call it. Ty, who do you. like? How do you like Have you been. waffling, pancaking, French toasting? >> No, I haven't. I've seen firsthand what.
can happen when you have multiple O line. starters down. Uh usually that team. plays like hammered dog [ __ ] At least. in the Packers case, that is how it. goes. Uh and the the Falcons didn't. exactly have, you know, TJ Watt and and. some and Cam Hayward on the other side. The Steelers do. So, uh yeah, I'm I'm. going to go with the the Steelers minus. two and a half and I'm fairly confident. that uh they'll get the job done. Ton. man is taking it strictly because he was. told things are going to happen. >> I also love Todd Mon. I do and I I want. them to win so bad. But I just.
>> Yeah. Well, that's Todd Mon. >> That's Todd Man. >> Todd Man, coach. >> I worked with a guy for the last year. Okay. Not one time was never called that. in the building. >> You just picked Mon. >> You called him the wrong name for a. whole. >> He's gonna do a He's perfect for. Cleveland. >> Perfect. >> because he don't give a Chuck. >> That's right. >> They're finally cheering for Watson. He don't give a chuck, but he's got a. very young team. He's down a couple. offensive linemen. He's got what what. did we call that guy? Whipler. >> Yeah, Whipler.
>> Yeah, Whipler. >> Started six games in his in his pro. career. Never at center. >> So that that's a that's a tall order. He'll go out there and fight. Barber, the right tackle out of Florida, he's a. rookie. He's going to go out there and. fight. >> What about. >> Watson? Watson is the one caveat. He's. the one like fourth quarter cuz it's. going to be a one-sore game and it's. going to come down the fourth quarter. like last week verse the Panthers where. he gets out of harm's way. He ducks a. sack. He slides to the left and he finds.
Fannon for the gamewinner and the. defense comes up. They're really good on. defense. Like would I be shocked? Would. I be shocked. >> if the Browns. >> if Yeah. In Cleveland? >> I don't know. Would you? in front of. cheap. >> to just not only cover but win this damn. thing outright. And look at the dogs. like they were barking their ass off. last week. >> Home dogs. Yeah, they're crazy. Yeah, you picked against your friend Monen. Uh. Tai picked against Monen. >> Dan Monk, please. Let's have some.
respect for a guy that's two in one. He. said he wouldn't win a game. >> Big talk. >> Dan Orski knows more than you and he. calls it. >> who? >> Dan Orlovski. He knows Monken a lot. better than you ever could. So. >> he said that yesterday, was that. >> it might have been? No, >> it was yesterday's yesterday. >> It was two yesterdays ago. >> It was two yesterdays. Yesterday. >> Yeah. Yeah, >> that's what it was. >> I can't roll them. >> Actually, it was two yesterday's. yesterday. >> Whenever he's. >> You can't roll them enough. >> Your eyes. >> Yeah.
>> Yeah, those things went really up there. >> You're pretty good. One more maybe. >> Yeah. Take. >> Let's see. >> Can you go look that way so we can see. it? >> Yeah. >> Say Dan did it. What again? Dan Olowski. knows more about Go. Stay on him. Stay. on him. Stay on him. Dan Orlovski knows. more about football. Dan Olowski knows. more about Todd Mon. Dan Olowski knows. more about defensive football. And. Danovski is. >> Christ. >> That was a big. >> Christ sake. >> I can't roll him enough. >> Where's Scorsesei? >> Crossey. >> Do you wish you had bigger orbital bones.
so you could roll your eyes harder? I. like that. I like that. Chuck, I didn't. know you were a big eye roller. My boy, my grandsons, they love when that and. get this. I don't want to change the. subject. No. >> Can I talk about Ram Truck real quick? >> Absolutely. Great LR wrap earlier from. the boys in the back. >> I saw it up there. So quickly. >> I took Okay. I took my grand nos. I took Bear to play nine holes of golf. the other day.
>> How old on Monday? Right. >> How old is he? >> He's five and a half. Well, he's going. to be six in October. So, that does come. in almost. >> just an absolute stud. And little Bod's. my grand second grandson. He's three. So, I take him golf. It's just me and. him, right? Have a great time. Go back. home. Couple lollipops. He wants to get. one for himself, one for Bodie. Take to. the house. I got to drive him home. Tori's at home. So, we're in the car. having a conversation. I mean, this. guy's intelligent. I mean, we're having. a nice conversation. We're getting ready.
to make a turn and there's traffic. coming from the left. So he's in the. back in his car seat. and he says, "Look at that Ram truck.". >> And I'm like, "Get the what?" And so I. look and the big Ram on the front, right? That's a Ram truck. I said, "How. do you spell Ram?" And he goes, "R A M.". Okay. And then I we're riding up the. street about three minutes later, I hear. this.
I swear. I swear. I said, >> "What?". >> Yeah. >> What did you like when you turn that. thing over? The beauty of that Ram. truck. What's that thing sound like? And. he goes, >> "Ah, that's awesome.". >> He's like, "Pop, I love you on there.". Who's your second Pat? I love Pat. AJ, who's that other guy up on the big. screen? AJ, do you know the toxic table? I don't know them yet. Pot, but. >> No, that's awesome. That's crazy to. think about that that's happening with a. six-year-old and being able to recall. that. Obviously, my daughter's three and.
four months, 5 months now. She's. remembering everything. She's starting. to really talk. It's so much fun to do. that. I thought that I thought that Ram. Truck was coming at their car. >> Yeah, me too. >> Yeah, I was scared TO DEATH. >> I THOUGHT RAM TRUCK. I THOUGHT he. >> How long ago was it? And then he goes, "And how about poopy ball when you put. those poopies up there?" I'm thinking. this kid. So that's the only TV he gets. to watch is today, right? >> Oh, we got to start teaching him to. work. >> That's good. >> Hey, so then he goes, "What were those. things you put up? Remember when when uh. when the Raiders were playing the.
Dolphins and that guy had that that foul. and they had that penalty on him? What. were those things that you guys put up? Remember the heads exploding? >> Oh yes. What' you tell? >> That's how detailed this was. >> What did you tell him? >> Um. >> it was mindblowering. >> Mind Yeah, mind. >> Mind-blowing. >> You love being a grandpa, huh? >> Oh, >> you should get your bear into Minecraft. >> Yeah, >> you guys. >> Well, he's in the Legos. I told you that. earlier, right? >> That's easy. No, but he putting them. together. >> Yeah, he's. >> Are you anti- Minecraft? Because.
>> sounds like No, no, no, no, >> no. It sounds like you're a little bit. anti. >> No, sir. Not not anti Mike Tomlin. Nothing but great respect. We all know. that. Hall of Fame coach. >> Guys need a hobby. >> Yeah. >> If that's what you want to do with your. spare time, >> but just think you and Bear could spend. maybe 24 25,000 hours. >> Yeah. >> But we're not we're not gonna do the. iPad thing. We're not gonna like. >> No. Buy them a game. >> That's what you guys probably do to your. kids. Hey, here here's your babysitter. >> He said this. >> Really easy coming from grandpa who gets. to give them back, [ __ ].
>> Yeah. Really nice lollipop. You He gave. the speech whenever I was playing. >> They're sugar-free. >> When. >> I'm talking, >> they don't get sugar. They're clean. eaters. They don't get dairy. They don't. get sugar. That's why I asked you guys. if you have gluten-free donuts around. cuz I got to get them gluten-free. >> Don't send those kids to college cuz. when they get to college, boy, are they. going to go off the rails. >> Remember, that's on you to do that. You. don't have to get them gluten-free. >> Yes, I do. Cuz he would they wouldn't. touch it. I got them a golf shirt. brand. new golf shirt. We went golfing because. he had one and he and he looks at me and. goes, "Is that polyester?" Six years.
old. >> That's what I'm saying. You got to stop. that, >> boy. That kid's gonna. >> that kid's going to have good for your. skin because they're so. >> I know. That's what I'm saying. He's. maybe. >> Johnny O. >> Yeah, you got to do what you got to do. I. >> bing you. >> Yeah, I understand. Binga. Bing. Bing. >> That kid's going to have a taste of a. Mick Ultra and lose his mind in high. school. >> No. >> Why would you even go there? Yeah. Come. on. [ __ ] is wrong with you? >> Well, you're not letting THEM LIVE. >> YEAH, YOU GOT YOU GOT IN.
glutenfree donut. >> The gluten-free donuts. >> Have a cup of milk. >> It's going to have a butt heavy and be. like, "Holy [ __ ] where's this been my. whole life?". >> Don't listen to this, Bear. If you're. watching, you stay you. >> You stay strong. You don't give into. pure pressure. >> That's right. You're disciplined. >> You know what I mean? >> It's different. Your name is Bear. Now, on that note, you should try to sneak. yourself a real fat ass doughnut. Yeah, >> you should try to get one of those. >> [ __ ] chocolate chip cookie. >> Yeah, maybe a blueberry one. >> Pepsi. Like a fountain cherry Pepsi.
>> We know that won't happen. >> Oh, the cherry Pepsi fountain. >> So good. >> No, they get these lollipop you get to. drink, >> which are very good. >> They're they're delicious, >> but it ain't Coca-Cola. So, as soon as. he has a Coke. >> Now, I would like to follow up that I am. certainly trying to guide my daughter. towards uh healthy food as opposed to. the uh super duper fat food. Uh but on. that note, >> she gets these little ice cream. drumsticks. >> Oh, yeah.
>> Oh my god. >> Trader Joe's every Trader Joe's. >> Oh, >> I know what you're talking about. >> Those are money. >> They are. >> When we were when I was playing for. Chuck, I don't know how many years ago. this was. He was all fired up about some. giving some speech. guy's taking the. easy way out about sort of [ __ ] you. know. And he goes, "This probably. carries a home, too. Don't give your. kids the iPad. Don't give your kids the [ __ ] iPad.". I don't know if you said [ __ ] but. basically, and your face was just like. so disappointed. Didn't know who was. doing it in there, but you knew somebody.
in there was doing it. That's the easy. way out. Just take the easy way out. Toss the iPad. They'll just get locked. in. You won't have to talk to them for. an hour and a half, two hours. You don't. have to do anything. Just do that. That's what some of you are in here. doing. I don't need that. That was like. I didn't have kids at the time and I was. thinking to myself, "Oh my god, I didn't. even think about people just handing. kids the iPad." Then I thought about it. what my parents would have done with how. much energy I had if they had access to. an iPad to kind of just give to me. But. you can learn on there though, Chuck. It's not just taking the easy way out. That's right.
>> So maybe heightening some different. skill set. >> Go up and down an airplane. All right. >> Go up and down an airplane. An airplane. See all the kids three to five, three to. six, headphones on, right? >> And I guarantee you there is no math. There is no math on there. >> What are you nuts? >> We're trying to get them not to cry on. an airplane. >> Wake up, Charlie. >> What the Chuck? >> No. >> What if they're doing dual lingo? >> What do you want them to do? Just sit. there and and raw that trip? Just. staring at the seat.
>> You know this the sublim lial stuff. that's coming out of them? They don't. even know heard. >> You wonder why her kids are all jacked. up. >> My kids are not jacked up. Now, on that. note, >> she does know a lot of the lyrics to. that K-pop demon hunter song. And I'll. tell you what, she can get you Elsa from. the front to the back of that thing. On. that note, she will remain active. outside. Can't be glued to the iPad, which I assume a lot of people do. But I. traveling out in public, >> that's the only time you use it.
>> That's what you need. Hey, let's get. through these terrible times that my. parents talked about with me in the. past, you know? Oh, we got an hour and a. half drive. Great to have this [ __ ]. kid in the back seat. This is great. news. I I bet you my mom and dad look at. like the modern state of parenting and. just think must be nice the entire time. Must be nice to have that cuz I'm. bouncing off the wall in the back of. that thing. You're saying live in that. moment still to this day. That's what. you're saying. Let these kids bounce off. the walls. >> Sounds like you grade one show. >> I like that. Chuck, >> what I'm going to do? >> No. Hey, what.
>> Chuck? Do you get in trouble if you give. them try to give them sweets? >> What's that? >> Do you get in trouble? That's kind of. like the grandparents thing to do. Hey, you get when you come to me, you get. stuff that you don't get with your. parents. So, like, do you try to slide. them stuff like that? >> No. No. I'd be done. We'd never see them. again. >> Okay. They would never get. >> I like it. I like that. >> Get cut off. I like how committed the. whole family. >> You You want to see these kids? These. kids? >> You better act, right? Don't you? No. Have you sleeping with.
>> We're talking about dishe. >> So you're on the Steelers minus two and. a half even though you're friends with. Men. Yep. >> Oh. >> Oh no. French toast. >> Maple syrup. >> What do you. >> I don't know what happens. You're. waffle. >> I'm not 100% sure yet. I was going to. listen to hear what Tone was doing. I. legitimately am not 100% sure. Tone's. taken the Steelers, but he's going to. rattle off a bunch of reasons why they. could lose because that's kind of what. he does. Normally the most confident. I've been in a long time and it scares. me but Steelers mine's two and a half. pound.
>> Tony does. >> I feel better. I may not feel awful. >> I know. Me too. I actually Tony. >> You're welcome. >> Con man though is sitting over there. feeling like he could be sitting in a. prime position tomorrow as we all jump. on one particular side. And is it just. because what we saw three days ago, Steelers finally played offensive. football. They look like Iowa of old. >> Sure. >> For a long time. Those two those two. programs have looked a lot like each. other last five years. >> And like the home dogs thing was last. week. It feels like this week home dogs.
won't have the same success. >> What are you doing? You're trying to. reverse. >> last week. No euthanizing home. >> But I will say to what Tai said like if. when there's a lineman out you're. worried. It's just I think Monin I mean. I I think Laflur can't hold Monin's. jock. I I feel like Monin has a plan for. the two floor this week. I think Someone. someone's [ __ ]. >> I couldn't beat the Steelers last year. with uh Lamar Jackson and Derrick Henry. So. >> Cleveland offense total 30th.
rush 29th pass 28th third down 30th red. zone 28th. turnover margin minus one Steelers just. they got they got six turnovers already. Did you hear the numbers I just gave. you? >> You did say throw the stats out. You. already said that so I'm not I I. shouldn't listen. Hm. >> What are you going to put a cape on. number four? >> You just said throw the stitch out. >> I mean, that's the one. No, that's what.
he's going to have to be. He's going to. be have to be Hooper Man. >> Hooper Man. >> Whooperman. >> Whoop. >> They finally cheered for him. I think he. was crying for days about it. And now. he's like, I got to go out there and. [ __ ] do this for them. I do. appreciate you doing what you did though. to us where we have all the stats up on. the screen. >> and then you show a fight from 1964 or. whatever it was. >> and then you say throw the stats out. This is a rivalry game and then right. here afterwards you go. >> now. You see this [ __ ]. >> I want everybody to have all the. information before they make just some.
like flyer. >> responsible decision. >> Responsible decision. Responsible. gambling like you got to have it. >> I'll take the Steelers. I was going to. say it kind of sounds like you're saying. Todd Mcken's offense sucks ass. >> No, >> based on those stats. >> saying he's three games into his tenure. >> That's all that we can go off of. >> I love Monten. I'm a man guy. >> He didn't know his offensive line was. going to be in shambles. >> Is it Monk or Monen?
>> It's Monkin, right? >> I mean, show some respect to the guy. I. mean, the guy's a lifer. Football lifer. Family. We love him. >> Yeah. >> Dan Orlosski though. >> Yeah. >> The Dan Orlovski. >> Yeah. >> Do you know him? You love him. >> Who? Dan. >> Dan. >> I do. I do. But he's not pronouncing his. name correct. >> Oh, Dan. >> Yesterday. >> Oh jeez. Jeez. Dan's thinking some right. now. >> Just yesterday. I was. >> Let's see what Danosk is up to. Let him. know that this is all happening. I.
wonder. >> I love listening to Dano. >> Do you? What about. >> He's got a big brain. He's He's He's. good at football. >> He is good at football. He is good at. football. He was. >> not that. >> He's still doing the football. >> We're playing. Huh? >> I wonder if he'll. >> What are you saying? >> Hey, we're live. We're live. We're live. We're live. We're live. >> What's up? >> Hey, why did you pronounce Coach Monin's. name the way you did the other day? >> Coach Mon. >> Hold on one more time. >> Coach Monkin.
>> Huh? >> That's not what you said. >> When you were on a stage with the lights. on, you decided to sauce it up and you. said Monen. Do you don't remember that? I don't remember that. No, >> I never said that. >> The boys literally only call him Monen. now because that's how you pronounced. it. >> All right. I like that. Monen like No, Dan. Run with it, Dan. Dan, you can. stick with yesterday. You can stay. yesterday, but it's Mon. >> Okay, >> leave it at that. >> What's up, man? >> How you doing, brother? >> I'm good. How are you? >> He's saying what's up. Is you. pronouncing a guy's name wrong? He's.
friends with so have some respect is. what he's saying. >> It's Mon Ken. >> No. God, don't go don't go overboard on. the last. Just. >> Monking. >> Monk. >> Who do you like tonight, Dan? >> Yeah. Who do you like tonight? We're. going to watch NFL live if you're on it, obviously, but who do you like tonight? >> Yeah, I'm It's a dangerous game. Um, I. don't think Deshawn Watson played as. well as people believe he's played last. week. He could have thrown three. interceptions. Carolina just did not. catch them. So, I made some plays with. his legs. So, I think there's an.
opportunity for Pittsburgh to get a. couple bingos. Um, Cleveland's defense. is really good. Really good. Really. good. Um, >> I'm tempted to pick Cleveland tonight. >> All right, I'm taking Pittsburgh. >> Cleveland plus 2 and a half. Dan Olowski. says he's tempted. Over under 38 and a. half. I will have you know Conman was on. Cleveland until 5 seconds ago. Something. happened. Uh, over under 38 and a half. How do you feel about that? >> Under. Both really good defenses. Like I. said, Cleveland's defense is awesome.
Mason Graham's ball in verse really. good. Schwesinger Schwinger awesome. Uh. Pittsburgh's defense very good as well. So I would take the under. >> All right. We appreciate you Dano. >> Later pal. >> monkey. >> Min. >> nailed it. >> He still he wants to say man. >> The thing is two yesterdays. Yesterday. you said man and he changed the entire. thunderdome. >> Yeah. I mean you guys should know by now. that sometimes I just say things that. you know maybe aren't correct. NO DOUBT.
>> YOU GOT say I All right. You're the. best. You're the best. Goodbye. >> We all do. >> Yeah. >> The boost is live. >> That's the beauty. >> Are you legitimately on Steelers now? >> I Oh, yeah. Steelers minus two and a. half. >> Team ride. >> Team ride. I like that. Team ride on. Let's spin it. Super boost as well live. on DraftKings. Aaron Rogers. to have 160. passing yards, which I don't know if I. love after what Dano just said. Deshun. Watson 160 passing yards, which I don't.
know. >> Aaron will do this. >> That's he we got no weather issues. Like. beautiful, beautiful night. Like they're. going to they're going to air it out a. little. >> Let's be responsible on this one. >> They got this for sure. >> I like that, Bruce. >> Well said. >> Well said, Bruce. >> Thank you, Bruce. >> All right, >> you'll get a 100 off broken plays, extended plays. >> Oh, >> and we got to remember Deshun Watson, fourth quarter is where it's been. coming. So this is alive until the end. until it's not. >> Yeah, they're they're being outscored by. a minimum of probably 15 to I think 21.
points first three quarters and they. they've outscored their opponents in the. fourth quarter 25 to 13. >> There's no quitting Mons boys. >> That's cuz you Mon canan. >> Well said. >> Yeah. The issue is sometimes you m. can't. And that ain't going to be the be. for tonight's Monkin boys. >> That's right. Am I on the Browns plus. two and a half? >> Who are you on? >> Yeah, you haven't. >> No, you just. >> I said Steelers there, but I don't know. if I like all of us being on the. Steelers. >> Don't forget about Peace Times at. halftime.
>> We were all on the Bills. >> What's another cheap trick song? Do we. do we. >> uh the theme song of that 70s show? Shut. up, hanging out. >> Down the street. >> I thought it was up the street. Down the. street. >> Mhm. Same old things we did last week. Not a thing to do, >> but talk to you. >> WE'RE ALL ALL RIGHT. >> YEAH, I REMEMBER THAT. Tricks got some.
heat. >> Oh, yeah. Big time. >> What? Two songs at halftime, right? >> There's a uh Yeah, I would I would. assume so. I would assume so. >> Maybe three. I don't know. What do you. think? >> Ideally, seven or eight. >> Well, that's for like the holiday games. I I don't know about like Thursday Night. Football. >> You're right. >> Jack White Eminem. >> Yeah. Nailed it. That was spectacular. last year. >> What's name was really good with the. igloo before that? >> Jack Harlo had a big one. Yeah, >> these were all like Thanksgiving though, weren't they? These are normal halftimes. like 12 minutes. >> Yeah, but this right normal halftime. Dolly Parton Dallas. >> Yep.
>> Yeah. Rest in peace. >> But this is the Hall of Fame. Cleveland Browns Hall of Fame game. So, >> what if they were chosen to sing all the. other inductee songs as well? >> Now we're talking. >> That'd be cool. like a mashup. >> That'd be sick. >> We don't know. >> No, there's a chance. >> Are they on the field or are they up in. I know they built with some little stage. in the stands. >> Guys doesn't care. >> Yeah. >> Oh, >> COME ON. [ __ ] TEAM. >> IT'S A ROCK AND Roll Hall of Fame. We.
thought maybe Wuang would drop out. there. Maybe. Still. >> We lived there. We went. >> play the mistake on the lake. >> Yes, we did. I had a terrible game. >> How about that game? We came back and. won. >> We were down. >> bad. >> So bad. >> It was ugly. windy. It was [ __ ] 30 40. mph winds an area. >> You know why middle of the afternoon? >> You know why we won that. >> receiver of theirs, right? >> Oh. >> Did not get off the field. Got injured. late in that game and didn't get off the. field. >> Really? >> And charged them a timeout. Stopped the. clock and charged them a timeout. And we.
had just enough clock at the end. >> Boom her. I think we handed. >> Boom Haron a ball on a fourth down. >> We should have been handing. >> because they were beating the crap out. of us. >> Oh yeah. >> Whole game. >> Oh yeah. I bet Rabbit was a returner. >> Uh, his nickname was Rabbit. >> Was it Joshordon? >> Travis Benjamin. >> Travis Benjamin. Yeah. >> Was it Josh Gordon? >> No, it was Travis, I believe. >> No, this was No, this the kid that got. hurt on the side their side. All. >> talking about two different things.
>> I'm talking about the returner that. hell. You're talking about the wide. receiver that got hurt and caused. timeout. >> Would you have rolled him off the field, Chuck, if he was on your team? >> 100%. Grab him by the ankle, drag him. What if it was a hurt ankle though? >> I saw the play. Nothing happened. >> If he got a uoh or something, somebody. speared him. Yeah, we're going to All. good. >> A what? He got a what? >> What? >> Use of helmet. >> Oh, you of course. Of course.
>> There is a fanowered light show tonight. Uh, power the show with your phone. Be. in your seats by 7:45. So, you're going. to back on the. >> That's a damn clown show. >> What? Lights, music, this that God. Lay. the ball down. Let's have a We didn't. used to do that back in the day. >> and people were bored. WE [ __ ] [ __ ]. >> CHANGE OVER the head coach. >> Head coach isn't setting up the light. show. >> Mang might be. have lasers. >> Hopefully. >> lightsabers. Maybe that'd be serious. They did uh Old Miss actually had one of.
the best in-game experiences I've ever. seen. They had a full drone show. I. mean, full drone show. >> Doesn't LSU have a sick one, too? 200. 300 drone shows. >> They know what they're doing down there, man. The South, they they do it right. >> Old Miss had the wristbands. >> Yeah, those looked great. >> The wristbands that were rolling there. A lot of lights off, lights on. You. know, like Florida State couldn't get. the power to get the lights or whatever. >> A lot of these places obviously updated. stuff. The lights are popping off like. it's here at your house. They're able to. do that to the entire stadium. LSU did.
have a phenomenal. >> any place that goes pitch black. >> normally is going to have a presentation. and technology available that is going. to be a [ __ ] great. >> Bama. >> Bama has pitch black go right into. everything. Yeah, there they're. >> is this Old Miss here Gumps? Is that. what this video is? >> Yeah, there's a better one coming in. that shows the actual uh Old Miss when. they lit up the sky with it. It was. insane, >> dude. They had a drone show that would. look like it was like Olympics. like the. the amount of [ __ ] they didn't have.
as many people. It wasn't as big. >> That stadium doesn't look that big. >> It wasn't as big like LSU the week. before. LSU. >> Yeah, >> that thing was. >> up. Tennessee is a sweet one at night, too. Obviously, you guys weren't there. at night, but. >> 102,000 people in there, too. That if. they to get on the same page, it's. obviously beautiful. But yeah, the drone. show is [ __ ] insane. >> I mean, Ohio. >> Remember how cold it was? Some of the. drones froze out and crashed. >> Crash. It was like that was sweet. Yeah. >> Yeah. Two of them dropped out, but it. was a phenomenal show. Yeah. I don't. know if they do this every home game or.
if it's just like because of the LSU. game. It was a magical environment down. there. LSU fantastic. Texas a lot of. chance. >> Like there there's a lot of everybody is. involved in the leadup to like 15. minutes worth. Gumpy, didn't it feel. like it was like 15 minutes of them. having everybody on the same page? >> Yeah, it was unbelievable. Old Miss was. unreal. And then LSU, like you said, was. all the South just does it right. Like. AJ said, every place we go to, especially at night, even Tennessee. during the day, it's so loud in there,
it's unbelievable. >> Place was packed at what, a hour, hour. and a half before the game. See what. they're doing. >> They were told to do that. What's that? >> They're continuing that for the rest of. the year. The happy hour half price. concessions uh 3 hours before the game. for the rest of the entire year cuz it. was so successful. >> It was packed out and obviously that. builds the environment for your team, but also the away team. Mhm. It's like. you have to come out to the eighth. largest stadium packed for your warm. early warm-up. That's uh that feels like. that's a bit of a daunting thing. Uh I. appreciate that these colleges are all.
still all in on ball. >> Mhm. >> And I cannot wait to see Iowa. >> Yeah, it's going to be awesome. >> I cannot wait to see Iowa. >> Seven explosives last week for. Pittsburgh. >> And I got one more I got one more number. for you guys. I got one more number. One. more number. >> I want to hear it. >> 6851104. >> Got it. The year you're born. >> 685 11104. You know what that st goes. for?
>> 685 1104. >> Shawn Watson is completing. >> 68% of his passes. He's got five. touchdowns to one interception and a 104. rating. >> Okay. >> So, Cleveland, is that what that was? >> Who'd you go with? >> Steelers. Just just throwing it out there. 60. >> Who are you? He's got another prop back there. He's. got a prop, I bet. >> I don't know. Are you about to pull out. a. >> You got like a man mask or something.
>> Dog back there. >> CHANGING [ __ ]. >> OH, HE DOES HAVE A PROP. >> WOW. All right. All right. I respect it. I'll make it. >> Sorry, Monk. Schwitzer OC Travis. Sorry, babe. Did. >> you take my terrible time? >> You guys are kicking ass over there. >> Great bet. Um, also one sack for Cam. Hayward is plus 354 right now. >> And guess what? >> Just one sack. >> Backup center back. >> So the middle. >> the three in the middle would be Cam.
Hayward, Keano Benton, and then Derek. Harman who. >> responsibly. Responsibly. >> against Whipler and Barber. >> Yeah. Plus 354 just seems insane. And he. doesn't have a sack on the year yet. So. I I agree. Responsibly. But. >> responsibly. Responsibly. >> plus 354 super responsibly. >> Remember, not getting rich off of these. Just having a little extra to make. ourselves feel smart and a little bit of. happiness whenever something happens. >> Little chase. >> Just a little ch little chish. A little.
ch. >> That guy was awesome. >> Yeah, Dro is awesome. >> What is he talking about? His lasagna. and the meatballs, the gravy. >> Yeah, I mean, he had them all. I felt. like in a 10-minute period. I can't wait. for you two to meet each other. I think. we do need to do a big program, friends. of program, like kind of house golf. thing. >> That'd be sweet. >> I think we need to do that. I think we. need to get everybody under the same. roof. >> Yeah, >> I'm sure that won't cause any ridiculous. things. >> Oh, that would be sweet. >> That would be fun. >> That would be sweet, though. >> That would be [ __ ] sweet. >> Set up the tables again. >> Poke the tables. Definitely. So many.
characters. Yeah, so many characters. Would have to go to a place where poker. is obviously um completely legal and. okay and and all that. We will head to a. place where there is legal sage and. marijuana so that if anybody wants to. participate in a legal state that we are. not in currently, >> we will certainly head there as well. >> Booze will be available. >> Bellagio. >> Shut up. Buffalo trees. >> Go to Vegas. >> Blio Bob. >> Yeah. >> I don't think we need to be staying at a. casino. What I'm saying is we need to. get away from that. We need. >> mind seeing Bellagio Bob.
>> Yeah, I wouldn't hate seeing Bob. >> We'll invite Bellagio Bob to the trip. >> You know where he's from. He's from. Cleveland. He's He's so jacked right. now. >> Is he in stadium? >> Is he going to be there at the game? >> No. >> Dang. Okay. >> He's working for. >> What are you on? >> I'm I'm going to do Pittsburgh. Let's. team ride this thing. >> All right. I think we'll find out a lot. right now is Chuck Bagan will attempt to. win 25 people $500. All he'll have to do. is put this NFL flag football ball, which is perfect for a throwound. >> Yes. >> And a kick around.
>> And a hangout session for you at home. We have no idea where you buy him, but. you certainly can somewhere. If Chuck. Beon was able to put this ball into. which hoop. >> Yep. >> Jesus Christ. I don't know. >> That hoop. He made two over there. earlier. >> Which hoop? >> Go there. >> Okay. All right. Wow. >> How many tries do I get? Cuz it takes a. minute to feel the weight. >> You only need one. >> weight of the ball. >> You just want to kind of get loose a. little bit. >> You should have taken your loose. Get. loose a little bit. >> You want to spin it a little bit. Yeah.
just, you know, take that thing over top. there. You know what I mean? Snap that. off. >> That's a really cool hoodie, by the way. Check. >> Yeah, it is super cool. >> Sweet. >> They might be in CB. You know what I. mean? >> Do the sleeves zip off. >> Hey, you you got to spin that a little. bit. You need to loosen up, bro. You're. kind of throwing this off. What are you. throwing us off? >> Not going to be able to make it. Is that. polyester bad for your skin? >> Can't hear you. >> What should we be wearing? What kind of. >> cotton? Misery loves company, guys. >> Gosh, have you heard that? Hey, misery loves company.
>> That's right. >> Amen. >> Those those disgruntled players, they. used to go down the locker room and just. look for some, >> you know, I'm getting this, I'm getting. that. I'm not getting any playing time. And. >> there's somebody in there that'll. gravitate over. Yeah, you right. >> Mhm. >> You got every right in the world to be. miserable right now. >> Mhm. >> Keep your head down. >> Yeah. >> Yeah. >> Yeah. >> That's cuz they like to see their ass. off the team so they can get off. >> 100%. >> Yeah. They think they're on the same. side. No. No. They're They're trying to. >> get out. >> I know that though. Miserable people.
can't even see that cuz they're so. blinded by the misery. They think that. they got others that are miserable. It's. like, "Yeah, right. This person. >> trying to get you on your way out of. here so you take advantage of your. miserable ass.". >> That's right. These winning programs I. get that's uh is it summer? >> Mhm. >> Yeah. >> What a I guarantee you what he told his. staff and his like if somebody comes. because they're going to try to find a. weak link these players. >> Sure. >> Another coach, whatever. And a lot of. people they just want to be friends with. these guys, right? >> Yeah. Yeah, good little pop. Fun pop. >> He said, "You get a guy come over to you. and he starts bitching and moaning,
pointing fingers and, you know, whining. about this, whining about that, and hey, my coach don't like me. He ain't Hey, ho, ho, ho, ho. I understand maybe where you come from, but this ain't a conversation. No, me. You go see your coach.". >> Wrong chucking guy. >> Exactly. >> I'm on that guy's side, actually. The. coach that is kind of doing what they're. doing to you right now. >> I agree with him. I don't know why, but. just know I'm on his team. That's what. you're saying.
>> Misery loves company. >> That's right. >> Well said. >> We don't know if they love it though or. if they're looking for it and others. But that is a bar. Put on a t-shirt, man. >> Yeah. >> All right, Chuck, if you put that, >> were you a vocal guy. >> locker room? Would you would you. >> like if somebody wasn't towing his line. towing the line, would you sit him down. and say, "Hey, >> what the [ __ ] do you think?". >> I wouldn't step in too much. which I'm. not a big guy on unsolicited advice, but. yeah, if they came to me or I was more. of a set of the example type of guy. >> I would like, >> but if you saw something that was.
tearing away at the fabric or what were. you trying to get done? Okay. >> I was very lucky in Green Bay that they. they thought about that a lot. The great. the the late great Ted Thompson, he. brought in people that were team guys. >> I like that. >> Steelers corner Jaylen Ramsey. questionable with a wrist is expected to. play tonight for Cleveland. Sources says. Jeremy Fowler broken wrist on three days. rest and Ramsay still plans to play. What a dog. >> Right. >> Yanzers are saying that's Pittsburgh. Steeler. >> Yeah. See you Joey. That's a volunteer. not a hostage.
>> That's Minecraft expert Mike Tomlin's. quote which obviously we'll continue to. carry on. What's that? >> Just a wrist. He won't have he'll have. his digits out. >> Just a wrist. Okay. It'd be like me have my vocal cords. for whenever. >> No, I mean it's a it's a big deal. But. what I'm saying is he's going to have a. brace on his wrist. His hand's not going. to be in one of those clubs. I thought I. heard somebody say club. >> Well, you. >> I thought maybe we I thought he might be. in a club depending on where it is. But. yeah, if you can have your little.
fingies out, that's much better. >> Going to have all five digits out. >> AJ has a pick with no fingers right on. Big Bang. >> Uh my my fingies were out. But the tough. thing when you wear a cast, you know, when it goes over like this part of your. hand. I I at one game I bent my fingers. all the way back because it was like it. all the way against the cast and my hand. blew up like a It reminded me of like. the Super Mario Brothers the white glove. that's in my fing hand. >> like instantly too. It was brutal. It. felt terrible. >> A lot of pressure. Do you have to drain. that? What happens there? >> Nah, you know stick it in a in a bucket.
of ice once. >> Sure. Put that thing down. Go through. >> So Harold Fannon Jr. over, baby. Maybe. What. >> you think Jaylen Ramseay's coming back. to play bad? >> No, I just It just sounds like he It. might be hard for him to get his hands. on guys. >> Might be tough. >> It might hurt a little bit. >> I appreciate him playing. That's good. Pittsburgh Steeler football. That's AC. North football. >> It is. >> All right. Chuck Pagano. 25 people. >> Hannon's a good player. >> Great football player. >> Great football player.
>> Todd Monkin's a good coach, too. And you. say you didn't got a chance. >> Yeah. >> There you go. You're back to. >> one of the best out of Bowling Green. ever. Monk's perfect for that place. >> Just not. >> Yeah. >> Not tonight. >> He was a damn. >> And the scariest thing about it. >> is I know they're both for, you know, first year playing with house money and. all that stuff. They got nothing to. lose. >> Who? >> Neither. >> They got nothing to lose. They. >> football. >> They weren't supposed to win one game. and they're already at two and one tied. for first in the AFC North. I don't.
play, >> huh? >> Paying the banner. Exactly. >> They're going to hate Deshawn again if. he doesn't [ __ ] win tonight. What do. you. >> Now they got expectations though. Now. they got some high expectations. >> No. Yeah. And the the thing about the. people in Cleveland. >> Mhm. >> If they if they won, >> they would be so pissed. What was that. saying? >> Cuz they love being miserable and they. love going. >> No, they don't. >> They love going smoke their camels and. drink their beers. >> If they got a playoff series starting in.
Bayball, they they want to be winners. right now. >> True. >> Who? The Guardians. >> Yeah. >> Yeah. They're really good. >> What happened to the Indians? >> Well, they changed their name to the. Guardian. >> Yeah, they changed to the Guards. >> Chief Wahoo was offensive. >> Yeah, >> we didn't we didn't think so. >> They are. All right, let's go. Are you. Are you going to throw the football? >> You are everything. >> Yes, you are. We all are. Thank you. Jeez Louise.
>> They had a good casino there, too. Great. Jack. >> They got rid of Jack. >> No. >> No, they didn't. >> Downtown Cleveland. >> Yeah. >> Gone. >> Jack Casino's gone from downtown. I. >> think so. >> I think so. You better. >> You better know that one, brother. >> Google it, boys. >> It's still there. Yeah. >> Yeah, it's still there. Yeah. It's. three, four floors. >> You don't know [ __ ] old man. >> It's a great casino, actually. Growing. up in Pittsburgh, I will say when you. talk about throwing the stats out and. everything like that, growing up in. Pittsburgh, I was led to believe that. Cleveland was a third world country. It.
>> and it was the absolute worst. Tone grew. up the street. Nick grew up on the other. side. That is literally what we were. taught to believe as kids. And the. people in Cleveland were taught the same. thing about Pittsburgh. That is good. football rivalry. I mean, that is just. what it's supposed to be. >> When we played over there and we showed. up at Cleveland, that was my first time. there. We're driving buses through the. city. I was going to Venitary. This is a. nice city. >> Yeah. Yeah. >> Vinnie's like, >> "Nice stadium.". >> Yeah, it is. Yeah, it's pretty nice. What do you I'm like, >> "This is not what I expected at all.".
And he goes, "What do you mean?" I was. like, "I thought this place was a. complete [ __ ] hole. This is a nice city. It's pretty nice city." Then years. later, whenever we go back and visit, we. go to Jack's Casino. We all win. >> Mhm. >> Walking through I think the oldest hotel. or oldest mall in America in in America. is there. It's like this is a nice. gorgeous. I was so flustered. I I was. literally mind blown every time I've. gone there. The stadium on the lake, beautiful view, terrible for wind, but. [ __ ] beautiful view. I was mind blown. by all that. But that's how much like.
the Pittsburgh Cleveland thing is real, which is why tonight is so special. No. matter who's the head coach. >> That's right. >> No matter who's the quarterback. That's. right. >> These are two football towns very. similar to each other. >> Very, very similar to each other. Similar people as each other. And. they're going to battle tonight. >> Yeah. >> And our entire [ __ ] show. thinks that. the Pittsburgh Steelers are gonna walk. into Cleveland and cover at least two. and a half. Love that we're doing that. Feels like that might not be the best. option, but hey, maybe we all wake up. tomorrow big time winners in IOWA CITY.
>> HELL YEAH. >> CANNOT WAIT TO BE in Iowa. All right, before we do that, Chuck, why don't you. go ahead and try to throw a football and. see what we can do for uh 25 winners of. 500 bucks. >> Don't think about it. >> Motivational speech coming from Ty. >> Yeah, Chuck, you have not been remotely. close to making this yet. like I mean. like really bad missing the backboard. throwing shitty throws like so let's. just I I'd say make it obviously try to. do that but let's maybe just let's just. try to hit the backboard today. >> okay so uh aim big um miss small miss.
big. >> and miss is certainly the quote but he's. telling you just aim for that area where. the hoop would be what we're saying is. put that thing in AJ actually has. something to say to you before you. attempt this. >> yeah Chuck I think maybe you know take a. little drop back and stop the one shot. First off, going back to earlier in the. program, Mark Kaboli on the one shot is. an absolute emmy just waiting to happen. So, please, next time he comes on, put. him on the the one shot. He does a great. job solo cam. But Chuck, you know you. got this. You don't need an extra ball, Chuck. First ball's going in. You're. going to bank it or you going to go.
straight in. Tell me. >> Probably bank it. >> Oh, probably. >> Waffling on the throw. >> Yeah, >> this is unbelievable. Con man, uh, your. birthday is tomorrow, right? >> 66 tomorrow. >> Wow. Thank you. Happy birthday, Chuck. >> Happy birthday, Chuck. On that note, Connor has this to say to you. >> Happy birthday, man. That's really cool. I can't 66 years. What What a journey, right? Unbelievable. Unbelievable. >> If you don't make it, it's going to be. the worst birthday you've ever had. So, don't even think about it. Don't even. think about it. Remember what happened.
earlier? You made two in a row back to. back. No backboard, just switch. And all. you did was you took the football, you. didn't [ __ ] aim it like you have. been, and completely missing everything. like Tai mentioned. Just throw it. Don't. Don't aim it. Just throw it. What are. the odds here on Chuck making this on uh. if there were DraftKings market. >> even money? >> Come on, Charlie. >> No one's taking that back. >> Even money. boost of some sort. Can I opt into. something across the top? I I would like. to be able to get. >> you could boost to plus 250. >> Okay, I'm going to need that boosted.
too, I think, a little bit. >> 2500. >> I'm going to boost no to 2500. >> Chuck, live for your die hard, brother. >> Holy [ __ ]. >> Yeah. >> Whoa. >> Weedy. A lot of pressure right here. Yeah, there's no pressure. Just like. LeBron said, you're right. >> He was back on the golf course. >> It's been 41 minutes of build up. >> 25 people, $500. All you got to do. >> is put that NFL flag football into that. hoop right over there like you did two. times before the show started. A lot of. motivational speeches. Hey, hey, hey,
hey. >> Catch and throw, Charles. >> That one hit him in the chest. It wasn't. It wasn't that good of a catch. Chuck. Pagan for 25 people for $500. Oh. Oh, that was that was the one. >> That was the line. That was the line. He. went for it. >> That was a good throw. >> You think one more? >> Birthday. >> Here you go, Charlie. >> Birthday ball. Here you go. >> Birthday ball. >> Yeah. >> Had a breakfast ball. This one's a. birthday ball. Bad throw. Going to try. to get you out of it. Different shape of. a ball here this time. A little bit. thinner ball. Chuck Pagano will try to. win 25 people $500. Obviously, the whole.
world watches as Chuck Pagano tries to. complete the impossible. >> Oh, Charlie. all over that thing. >> That was nice. >> Just moments ago, he pronounced Jack's. casino dead. And uh maybe that is Jack. kind of coming from above. Maybe one. last attempt here. >> All you got to do, Chuck, is put that. football into that hoop right over. there. I think it will all make us feel. much more confident about your pick of. the Steelers. Minus two and a half. tonight. AND ALSO 25 PEOPLE.
>> HEY, you're getting better. You're all. over. All over. Your best day. >> Thank you, Chuck. Good work. >> Appreciate you guys. >> Behind the glass. Good work, boys. You're doing fantastic. >> Real panic uh situation potentially. tomorrow as we take the show on the. road. >> Oh, yeah. >> For sure. >> For the lads in the back. >> No, it's probably easier, right? Easier. for you guys. >> there. Um I don't know. I've never done. it um on the switcher and it will be. quite intimidating with the live crowd.
and everything, but our our friend. barcode will be present and that's a. that's a calming uh calming thought. So, we have that. >> I think Barcode hears that a lot. >> Yeah. Calming presence. >> Yeah, he has a calming presence. >> He's an internet superstar. That guy. >> Yes, he is. I think he should get more. views for what he does. Uh, but I. appreciate his incredible persistence. and great work for the program, especially tomorrow as we're live from. the Pentacrist on the University of. Iowa's campus. >> That is correct. >> University of Iowa or Iowa University? >> No, University of Iowa.
>> Every once in a while, I'll say that at. some school and people get real mad. Real mad. This guy don't know [ __ ] about. this place. It's like, whoa. I'm sorry. >> University of Iowa. University of Iowa. tomorrow. The Pentacest. I saw a little. layout of it where we're going to be. It. should look magical. We hope folks will. come hang out with us. 11:00 a.m. local, 12:00 p.m. Eastern live in Iowa City. And then I believe following us will be. another show and another I think we got. packed. I think they're showing.
>> I believe so. I believe we are loading. the day up a little bit there. uh live. from the Pentecost. So hopefully. everybody and I will come say what's up. and hang out. And if not, we'll see you. Saturday morning 9:00 a.m. >> Yep. >> Big 10 game. >> Right. W. beautiful day it's supposed to be. >> All right. Final thoughts here on what. we uh Okay. Give a projection on what. you think it looks like tomorrow and. Saturday and then also the game as well. Tai. >> what do you mean projection in terms of.
tomorrow? >> Just what it will look like, what it. will feel like. how we'll come out of. the show saying what tomorrow you think. and then Saturday morning game day and. then also the same day. >> I think this is the most excited people. have been for an Iowa game in in quite. some time. I mean yes. a few not not that long ago they were. undefeated very late into the season. went to the Rose Bowl got absolutely. killed by Stanford who had Christian. McCaffrey at the time we were at the Big. 10 championship when Iowa played. Michigan the year Michigan won the. national championship. Same deal. The.
offense was terrible. It was all the. defense and the special teams. Um, so I. the atmosphere is going to be crazy. It's like not only that, there's like a, you know, Caitlyn Clark I think is. releasing her first shoe today. So they. have like right on the other side of the. street of where we're going to be. They. Nike has like this big like activation. for like her shoes and [ __ ] like that. It's going to be a mad house in Iowa. City this weekend. So I think the the. overall vibe is going to be like, yeah, I was going to shock the world. Uh, Saturday, same deal, 3:30 game. So,
people will be tailgating at like. starting at like 4:00 a.m. They'll get. out there kegs and eggs, you know, the. the whole nine yards. Um, there's two. ways. Either Iowa's going to get killed. and they're not going to cover and. Jeremiah Smith is just going to go. crazy. He's going to have a massive day. I think if Iowa is to win this game, and. I think they can. Ohio State gave up 199. rush yards to Illinois last week. So, Iowa's going to have to control the. clock, pound the rock, which I think. they can do. and their red zone defense. has been phenomenal this year. So I.
think if they can eliminate like the. explosives uh explosives for touchdowns. I should say. So no, you know 60 70 yard. touchdowns for Jeremiah Smith. I think. if they can bend but don't break and and. hold Ohio State to field goals in the. red zone. I think there is an avenue for. them to win very similar to how they did. against Michigan last week. Like late, you know, they they're going to have to. dominate the kicking game as well. Braden Jackson. Um he ran a kickback for. a touchdown last week. So like they they. I believe they do have the edge in.
special teams. Um so we'll see. Like. statistically I think Ohio State is. going to dominate this game. But I you. know hey right where we want to be 14. and a half point underdogs outside of. people in Iowa City and Ians I don't. think anyone thinks they have a chance. to win. Le let's go [ __ ] shock the. world. >> AJ, what are the Buckeyes fans saying. over there in Ohio? >> I think it's just uh you know quiet. confidence. they feel really good about. But I think people in Ohio have a ton of. respect for Iowa and coach Ference and. what they do. So yeah, that's why it's.
it's not like this crazy heated like. they you hate each other back and forth. I don't know how they feel about Ohio. State, but I know Ohio State people. don't hate Iowa. They respect them, but. they they feel very confident going into. this one. >> Now we will have an incredible. opportunity tomorrow to catch up with. Coach Ference. Yep. He'll be joining us. live from the Pentichrist in the second. hour. Coach McCullum of the basketball. team will be joining us in the first. hour live from the Pentichrist. And then. we shall enjoy the hell out of Iowa. City. I got a lot of friends. >> Yeah. >> That have Iowa connections.
>> Oh yeah. >> I mean, I' I've had the chance to be. around so many Ians. So many Ians. Just. a ridiculous amount of Ians. I mean, you. talk about obviously Dallas Clark, then. George KD, Mitch King, AJ Eids, Bob. Sanders. I mean, you go down the list. Pat Anger. Yep. Just mention. >> a lot of a lot of Iowa guys have played. for the Colts and had good careers for. the Colts. >> Yeah. And I I've had a chance to be. around all of them and they are all good. dudes who love ball. You know, that's a. cool thing about the anybody coming out. of there is they love ball. You're going. to have to.
>> cuz there's going to be a lot of this. happening with the Iowa Hawk guys. >> That's right. >> Forever and ever. >> Amen. >> Amen. All right, let's get the hell out. of here. Chuck at work this week. Terrible throw. Better than. >> hard to make a throw, boys. Oh boy. It's. really hard. I bet you do it like. yesterday. Boom. Here you go. >> Oh, yeah. >> Oh, >> good news. Yeah, >> I didn't say anything about. cuz he already.
>> little pat and go. >> It was just a little I got to get down. field, boys. >> Deshawn throws. >> He does the javelin. >> He does. >> So crazy cuz that ball's like. >> Oh, yeah. There. >> I used to make all those back ones. >> Huh? >> That was the ball. I made all of them. >> The black balls. >> Sounds like an excuse. >> Yeah. Big one. >> Do you want to throw one right now for. all the. >> If I did like what you just did? >> Yeah. >> Okay. >> See what you got. Hug. >> 25 people. 500 bucks. No problem. How.
you doing? Keep it moving. >> Oh man. >> Almost. >> You're allowed to do that by the way, Chuck. You're allowed to do that. >> I don't know what the Chuck you've been. doing this whole time, but you're. allowed to do whatever you need to do. We can't thank all of you. >> enough for allowing us to do this for a. living. It is because all of you. >> that watch our dumbass [ __ ] that we're. allowed to do this. So, thank you so. much. We'll continue to do it for as. long as you'll have us. Be a friend. Tell a friend something nice that might. change your life. We're going to stand. together. Team on me, team on three.
Good work, Chuck. Safe travels. Anything. for the group. >> Take no days for granted. Tomorrow's not. promised. >> Hell yeah. And on that note, hopefully. we'll see you tomorrow in Iowa City. >> Tomorrow team 31 23. Goodbye.
