[Music]. The following program is a collection of. students talking about happenings in the. sports world. It is meant to be comedic. informative. The opinions expressed on. this show do not necessarily reflect the. beliefs of their peers, their boss or. ESPN. There may be some cuss words. because that's how humans in the real. world talk. If you are a young, please.
seek permission before watching any. further. Hey, let's go. This show stinks and the fact that you. listen, we are very, very thankful for. the line with a gorgeous assist. The. alltime leading tackler for the Green. Bay Packers. You can't. Damn it. Tell your friend. Tell a friend. something nice could change their life.
[Applause]. [Music]. Hello beautiful people and welcome to. our humble abode the Thunderdome on this. championship over reaction Monday June. 23rd 2025. This program begins now. four. had a championship moment last night as. the Oklahoma City Thunder win their. first ever NBA championship. [Applause]. SGA uh cracks in the history books even.
more uh being the point scorer king of. the NBA, the MVP, the Western Conference. Finals MVP and the Finals MVP, SGA, J Do. Chad Holgrren and Crew, not to mention. Paisano Caruso who started going bananas. on a few different occasions out of. nowhere. Coach Dags over there and I do. believe they say Nalt uh at the end of. his name. got a chance to listen to him. chitchat with SVP after the game last.
night. He is just I mean he's just right. here. Yep. He was just right here. You. just won a title for the first time in. your program's history. You're right. here. Right here. How about all the guys. you still have back? You don't really. have a lot of contract disputes. Seems. like this team's going to be fully back. next year. You kind of got a Florida. Panthers thing going right now at this. point. Even if you were to add some just. right here. How you doing? Keep it. moving. Their fan base spectacular all. the way in from beginning to end. And. whenever you start talking about the. history books, there's numerous things. that they were able to accomplish this. season that'll be talked about forever. And uh I can't help but tip my cap uh.
proverbial to the Oklahoma City uh fan. base, their team, their general manager, their front office, their coach, and. everybody. Uh that was an awesome. series. It was an awesome series to. watch. Now, the Indiana Pacers. very early in that game lost a man who. was shooting at a bucket that seemingly. was three sizes too big. A man who was already nine points d in. the first. Very rarely does Tyrese. Hallebertton come out and just start,
hey, we're taking it to the bucket. We're filling it up. He's a feelout type. guy early. Then whenever you need him. late, whenever he starts getting hot, he. goes three for three. Now we got nine. points. Life is good. We're going to win. the NBA title. Pascal Seakam's doing his. thing. Nemhard's going crazy. Nissan's. doing his stuff. TJ McConnell's going to. do his thing whenever he gets in here. No problems. OB Toppin hair looks sweet. Mhm. Hair look really sweet after a. game. He's going to go crazy. And coach. Tricky Ricky Carile has got a plan that. for one game the entire season means.
nothing. It's just about tonight. In one. game, the Pacers are going to be NBA. Then Tyrese tears his Achilles. We all. assume. Mhm. saw that thing. Oh man, it really so. bad. Heartbreaking. I was sick to my. stomach. It was tough. Felt so bad. Obviously, the immediate reaction. Tyrese knew what was going on. And. they've been saying it's an Achilles. injury. I think anybody with eyes saw. what happened there as the reverb goes. up the leg and it's just a heartbreaker.
for all of Indianapolis. Obviously, for. Tyrese, his family, but I think for. sports as a whole because game seven is. supposed to be best on best. we lose out. on Tyrese Hallebertton early with an. injury and I'll be excited to see what. all and by excited I mean eager to see. what all injuries were happening you. know because there was a lot of tweets. going out about fake injuries and stuff. like that unbelievable before the. Achilles him battling through for our. team for our city we're obviously. incredibly grateful for but then once. you see the Tyrese Halleberger situation.
move on it's like okay now you're. playing for Hie the boys start playing. we have the lead at halftime it's like. okay tricky Ricky's got to figure it out. and then that second half. Uh, Coach. Dags also figured it out and they ran. with it and they ended up dominating in. the second half and winning their first. ever title. And now we're going to watch. what a parade looks like in Oklahoma. City. I assume it is going to be vast. I. assume it is going to be massive. And. they have a lot to celebrate over there, especially what the future looks like. And for our future, I think we still got. a lot of dogs on this roster. uh Tyrese.
I mean if if it is torn the Achilles. which every once again we all assume we. have not been told any information that. nobody else has been told I'm not saying. that but I'm saying if it is torn I mean. they talk about the comeback for that a. long time so next year we're going to. have to have a full plan it was a. devastating end for the Pacer season but. still one to be celebrated because how. the boys played and how the boys showed. up and how they were overlooked. undervalued and even voted overrated in. the entire league the way they showed up.
backtoback. I'm incredibly proud of that basics. team. Go run, boys. Oh, yeah. That was a. good go run. Ain't Coach Jenny, great. run. Mhm. But now we stare down at time. where the NFL is how many days away? Uh. 73 days till in full football. Okay, that doesn't sound too bad. That's not. that bad. Okay, 73 is not bad. No, that's just like uh 12 hours in a. holding cell doesn't seem bad when. you're looking back at it like for me. for uh my public intoxication. But boy, when you're in there, long time, you.
know, feels like forever. When's. forever? Right now, brother. You know, you're sitting in there thinking how you. can Andy Defrain. We got 73 days to the. NFL. We're going to celebrate the hell. out of Oklahoma City today. Okay. I. think it's the right thing to do. Kendrick Perkins will be joining us in. 10 minutes. I assume he's going to take. a victory lap as he should. Cannot wait. to catch up with Big Perk. Cannot wait. to chitchat about his thoughts on. Oklahoma City winning a title. what it. means for that city, what it means for. that state, what it means for that. organization that seemingly is only on. the rise. Congrats to them. Good luck to.
everybody in the West. The Pacers will. be back. Let's go to the toxic table at. Boston Conor and at Ty Schmidt. Ty, what. is on your head? Well, you know, you. mentioned it. Everyone's kind of down in. the dumps today and rightfully so. I. mean, that was just heartbreaking last. night and I said, you know what? Uh, I'm. going to have to kind of turn my. attention to my other favorite team and. that would be the Yard Goats. Uh, Bubba. Watson's. What? I think it's fairway. goat. No, it's Billy goats. No, it's. yard. It's yard goats. You can actually. see the the goat on here. It's got the. golf clubs, the rough, you know, a bunch.
of kind of like little. range goats. Range goats. That they are. my favorite team. Uh it's Bubba Watson's. team and live. They're your favorite. team. You just call them the yard goats. Like they're yard bird chicken. That's. not You're just calling them the yard. goats. They're the range goats because. of the driving range. which I would. assume when they walk out there, baha, they're goating around. On the course, we don't know yet. But on the range, we. know these boys can really pin it. around. Sure, that certainly makes. sense, but real OGs, like real fans of.
the team, we call them the Argo, uh, because that's just what we've been. doing from the get-go. So, I thought, you know what, this hat's loud. It's in. your face. It's aggressive. I'm just. trying to, you know, bring people's. spirits up a little bit. Yeah, we need. it here in Indianapolis. This city had. come together around this time. nine-year NFL vet, Daryl Jay. Butler. debut, obviously down in South Florida. when the Heels had their run, you got a. chance to experience it here in. Indianapolis. What the Pacers did for. this city was something I think we've. needed since 2020. Yeah, I I I think. probably since because this is a hosting.
city, a hospitable city, a place where. the conventions that come here to town. are massive for our business, our local. business, our entire everything. The. Indy500's here every single year. That. is massive business for Indianapolis. We. love hosting events. We love people. coming into town. 2020 happens, no. events, no no nothing. So, our entire. city turns into a ghost town, let alone. riots happening and then homeless. I. don't know where they all I mean, I. don't know how it happened, but there. was more homeless people living. Our.
downtown became like a ghost city for a. few years. And a lot of people wondered. like, are we going to be able to build. this place back up into what it is? And. then obviously the people of downtown. Indianapolis and the people that worked. their asses off at Visit Indie and I. think there's a couple other boards like. they want to work as soon as the world. was opened back up and but it took a. little bit to build and build and build. especially with the town and it's like. this run this playoff run it felt like. Indianapolis was back like it it felt. entirely like Indianapolis was fully. back together. It was it was a wonderful.
electricity that was radiating through. time. A lot of electricity you mentioned. since 2020 obviously getting uh getting. Caitlyn Clark here the fever too. that. was that played a huge part. They'll be. hosting a WNBA All-Star game. But this. run, this playoff run, not only just the. finals, just this run in general, uh. especially all the plays that Tyrese. made, um all the comebacks, all the. buzzer beaters, and then taking this. dominant Thunder team to a game seven. Obviously, we didn't get it done. Uh we. meaning, you know, Indiana, the Pacer. fan. Yes, sir. Like it was, you know, that was fun. That was really fun.
Painbridge I think was full last night. with a watch party watching the game. It. it was tough. you mentioned the start. how that game started and even once. Tyrese went down the boys still far as a. one-point game at halftime uh struggled. there late but uh HJ and this dominant. OKC team man they've really been. dominant wire to wire so for them to get. it done you got it hats off to them and. the Pacers man hats off to Tricky Ricky. and the squad they gave it their all and. they brought this city you know back. together and I know Tyrese may be back. out next year if it is an Achilles which.
you know it kind of looks like um so it. probably be a tough year uh next year. you would assume But um a hell of a ride. this year and hopefully we can get back. to this point. Well, and that's what's. awesome about this year. Like last year, you go to the Eastern Conference Finals, you know, get swept by the Celtics and. then no one talks about the season. Deep. just mentioned the moments Tyrese has. from this postseason run on its own. I. feel like everybody you no matter who. who you're a fan going into next year, going into next year, going into just. Tyrese's recovery, people are going to.
miss Tyrese. People are going to look. forward to Tyrese being back. I mean, he. had the first buzzer beater in a finals. game since Michael Jordan. Like the. moments that he has had this postseason. run aren't just, you know, hey, let's. forget about it, run to the next thing. Like Tyrese, it feels like even though. for us, you know, we've known he's a. superstar for a long time. Like Tyrese. this postseason feels like has become a. household name. So it sucks he's got to. do the rehab and miss all next year. assuming that he did tear his Achilles. But overall, what a season for the.
Pacers. It was sweet to follow. a lot of. flowers getting sent to Hie after he. gets injured, which I thought was cool, you know, from a lot of people that know. Ball. Now, granted, there's a lot of. people that have been saying things. about to the contrary about him being a. guy and being a star, and then whenever. he gets hurt, everybody's reaction is, "Oh, no." Like, that's a superstar. Yep. Like, you know, I don't want to go into. the entire dynamics of the conversation. about, you know, what this series was, who Tyrese was, and how was being, you. know, portrayed sometimes by sports. media, which we we are lucky to be a.
part of. when you have to talk every. single day, get to get to Mhm. But there. are some things we have to talk. You. have to talk about the NBA Finals. because it's the biggest thing that's. going on. So, you have to chitchat about. your opinions and thoughts. There's. going to be some things that come out or. some angles you're going to take that. aren't right. But it felt like for. Tyrese since getting voted the most. overrated player in the NBA uh by his. peers I wonder I don't know who those. were but by his peers via the athletic. like it almost gave a green light I. think to some people that were like hey.
this is how people view Tyrese and it's. like what he was able to piece together. and accomplish and play and it wasn't. just him on that Pacers team they had a. lot of depth they made it to the finals. to make it to the finals you're going to. have to have a lot of depth you know I. think a lot of people are finding that. out you can't just have two good players. and everybody else stinks and not. everybody stinks they're in the They'll. kill us in LA fitness obviously, but you. got to have depth. You got to have a. good team. The Pacers certainly had a. great team. And Pascal Seakum is a guy. who was unbelievable. Worthy of the MVP. for the Eastern Conference Finals for. sure. A man Tyresese Hallebertton is.
about to pass. No look. to right there. And then Saka is about. to go on a couple people's heads real. quick. [Music]. Like the team was awesome. But Tyrese, you know, is our guy. Like he is the guy. here in Indianapolis. And uh seeing him. go down was obviously heartbreaking. Yeah. But I think the whole world got a. chance to really realize he's. entertaining. This dude's entertaining. Yeah. He doesn't give canned answers. He. will give actual answers. He's very. likable. Yeah. He's a great guy. He's. very very likable. I think even Ben.
Stiller in his tweet was like, "Hey, to. Tyrese Alaburn, we would like." And. Tyrese was in the middle of there square. to that third three. That third three. him talking [ __ ] to the It was either. someone on the floor. Yeah. Somebody. caught a [ __ ] ass. Yeah, somebody last. night caught one of those. And how about. in Cleveland, one of these? I think even. people in Cleveland be like, "Okay, this. guy talks his shit." Like, he does. But. then he's like super kind, super nice. Obviously, him and his lady are great. members of the community. It's like he's. a perfect star for us, which is why I. think it was so gut-wrenching last night.
watching it and I think why the entire. sports world kind of witnessed it. Let's. go to one half of the hammer. D Cowboys. AP tone 7 and 1/2 I believe it was. bouncing 7 and 1/2 to 7 to 6 and 1/2 to. 7 in the entirety they end up covering. and this Oklahoma City team we have some. stats here uh they can go down in. conversation as the most dominant team. in the history of basketball highest. scoring margin in a season all time this. includes a playoff run obviously you got. the 2016 2017 Warriors which everybody. talked about maybe the team that'd be.
the greatest of all time 1,184. then the Bulls 9596 Six Bulls ever heard. of them. Pretty good. 7071 bucks. Holy. [ __ ] And then the Thunder obviously. 1,247 plus. Most 10-point wins in a. season, including playoffs. Wow. Thunder. 64. That Warriors team that everybody. talks about, 60. Most 15 point wins in a. season. The Thunder 48 including. playoffs. Those Bucks teams back in. 7071. So good. Hey, they used to be able. to fill it up. I've seen some guy boom.
bow. Boom. Left hook like a reacher. one. of these. Oscar Robertson, man. Sky, boom. A young Lou. Oh my god. Come on. They were just And they would say, "We're the Bucks." Mhm. And they just. keep it moving. Bucks. That was like. their thing. That was the the motto. We're the Bucks. We're the Bucks. Yeah. That's what they would say. You didn't. see the duck? No, I didn't. I got And. then we're Bucks on three. One, two, three. We're. do it, too. People in 1970 were like, "Whoa, they got a [ __ ] They got a.
thing." They were saying more than that. Yeah. Well, [Applause]. not a lot of matter. Yeah, not a lot. Excuse me. 30-point wins in a season. Uh, Lakers. Oh, 86 87 Lakers. We go. time, baby. Mhm. I've seen a dock series. mocku series, right? About it. Yeah. What a run. Yeah, they had 11 30 point. wins in a season before. That was. incredible. Celtics. Wow. They were. really good. Remember how good they. were? Yeah. Most most 50point wins in a.
season. Well, we don't have that on here. because obviously this is a stat sheet. being skewed for Oklahoma City to be. better than everybody. Yeah, I was just, you know, Yeah, but absence of. information is a choice and some people. do it to say we're still telling the. truth, which is still the truth. This is. still the truth. Mhm. Thunder 12 of. them. Congratulations. [Applause]. Truly dominant. That is domination. throughout the regular season. Only 14. losses. Obviously, the plus uh scoring. margin would tell you they're not losing. a lot of games on your plus,247. in a sport that involves keeping score. Uh, go ahead, Tom. No, and they were.
very, very good to the Gamblers all. season long. They were favored in 78 out. of 82 games in the regular season, plus. every single uh, playoff game. And they. covered at 65%. 66 35 and 4 was their. record. So, when you have all those big. wins, you are going to cover some. really, really big spreads. 65% is is an. alltime like, hey, the Gamblers are. going to love you. But also, you know, we talked about the Pacers, too, and you. know, Tyrese being voted uh most. overrated or whatever. I believe that.
was kind of like the whole team's motto. because they were the they had 10. underdog wins this uh playoff series, which or playoffs, which was tied for. the most all time with the Miami Heat, which were an eight seed. Um so, they. were the whole team was disrespected all. season long and and the Pacers were also. really good for Gamblers cuz they. started off so slow for the season and. they went on that run after January. So, both these teams in the Gamblers eyes. very very we got winners. Yeah. Yeah. Cuz I I don't think anybody really knew. the Pacers post All-Star break cuz I. think there was and I put this in my.
post that I uh tweeted last night. Um. like nobody expected [ __ ] from this team. going into the season. Nobody. Nothing. There was really no expectations outside. of Indianapolis for this team. They just. made the Eastern Conference finals. Oh, it was all a fluke. Everybody that. played was hurt. That's literally what. people were thinking. Then they suck at. the beginning of the season. Not good. Not good at all. Allstar break comes. They figure something out during the. break. They come back hottest team in. basketball. And then people like, "Ah, that's not real though. Who cares how. you are in March or February or whatever. it is? We don't care this entire thing.". And then they just continue to play. exactly how they played in the playoff.
series is last year. And it was like I I. think if you were a believer in them, I. would assume the sports books doubted. them. Yes. For a lot of it. So you could. win off. It's all in the spreads. All. playoffs. And then Oklahoma City. covering just dominated because I assume. at one point the books are like, "Should. we make this or no?" And they don't have. to cuz the amount of people are betting. It's like what a run for the Gamblers. What a run for these two small markets. And what a run for a team that had a man. that is now one of the biggest voices in. all of basketball. Ladies and gentlemen, joining us now is an NBA champion for. the Boston Celtics, an ESPN NBA pundit,
and an Oklahoma City legend. Standing. ovation for this man, I don't remember. which playoff series, but it did happen. this year. Ladies and gentlemen, Kendrick Perk. What up, Big Perk? What up? Now, what. up, fellas? It's been a minute. Yeah, it. has been a minute. It's great to see. you. We've seen a lot of you. Okay. We've been watching a lot of you. Obviously, with these NBA playoffs, you. look good. You look good. By the way, I. appreciate the fact that uh when you. walked into Oklahoma City, they showed. you on the jumbotron. Place went crazy.
for you. That had to feel so incredible. for you. Legitimately had to feel very. cool. Now, let's talk about that. relationship with Oklahoma City. What. does the title mean to this city, to. this fan base, to this state? It feels. like they're very similar to us where. they're they were all in and it was fun. to watch that fan base go crazy. But. like for real, what does this mean for. the city in your eyes? Oh, it means. everything. But let me say this, major. major props to the Indiana Pacers, Rick. Carile, Tyrese Hallebert, and that. organization and that fan base. Game.
six. My god, that was that that was. crazy. That was crazy. And uh I I got to. give a lot of love. It's no loser in. this in this in this run. Like the. Indiana Pacers are not losers. They had. still one of the best runs in NBA. history. Although they didn't complete. the mission, for them to be the. underdogs in every series of this this. playoff run and what they did, knocking. off top dogs and doing it in great.
fashion by committee and doing it the. right way, not being in the luxury tax, not cheating the system, not trying to. go out there and and go big fish hunting. or big game hunting. No, doing it the. right way and creating players. Rick. Carlile maxed out guys. That's what. great coaches do. No one thought Aaron N. Smith would be the player that he is. I. had to give him much love right shined. on the big stage. So much credit to the.
to the uh Pacers. You know, they they. had me more nervous than a criminal in. church. I ain't going to lie. Okay. I. ain't going to lie. I ain't going to. lie. Yeah. God bless. So So let me say this about the Oklahoma. City Thunder, man. You know, I I spent four and a half. years here. Great fans, great people, first class. organization. They stayed down, Pat. They stayed down.
Meaning when when Kevin Durant left and. went to Golden State, right? And then. all of a sudden, Russell Westbrook took. over the team and Sam tried to put. pieces around Russ to help him try to go. and compete for a title. Whether that. was Victor Olivipo, you know, drafting. Sabonis or or you know, trading for Paul. George and all of a sudden Paul George. left, uh, he wanted to go to the. Clippers. So Sam was forced to trade. Russell Westbrook and rebuild. No. excuses. They didn't feel sorry for.
themselves, right? You look at coach. Dagno GLeague coach you know bred in the. system went through the trying times you. know uh accepted you know you know went. through the failures and just grinded. chipped away drafted well right end up. getting SGA in the trade back getting. Chad homegrit sie should get a lifetime. extension solely off of drafting Jaylen.
Williams at number 12 lottery pick. We. got to remember Jaylen Williams was a. guy that went that like had to go to the. draft combine and scrimmage just to. prove that he was a first round pick. Sam Prey picked him in the lottery. This. championship means everything for this. organization and this fan base. When you. talk about being loyal, you talk about. staying down, this is the true. definition of a loyal fan base, and they. deserve every bit of this. Yeah, it was.
fun to watch them show up in the fan. base's eyes. Now, let's talk about Sam. and Coach Dags. Um, they have everybody. on a contract, I believe, next year as. well. I I And they were under the luxury. tax as well. So, whenever you talk about. people building it the right way and. having to build from the ground up and. develop your own superstars, which. obviously they have been able to do, uh, I think it's locked in for a bit. And. Caruso obviously plays vital role. What. a trade. What a guy what to bring in. from Chicago, I believe, at the time. And then he goes to Oklahoma City and he. becomes OG. They're calling him Unk down.
there with his bald ass. I mean, it is. uh it's a beautiful culture that they. have and they seemingly have everybody. coming back. Whenever you're this young. of a team and you win this early, obviously the dynasty conversations are. getting mentioned now. The dynasty, dynasty, dynasty. How does that become a. thing? What happens in the NBA to teams. after they have some success or is there. normally a little bit of a run for teams. that are able to stick together? Well, well, it's going to it's going to be. hard and let me explain why. Right. You. have your core. you know that you have. SGA who just you know solidified himself.
as a bonafide superstar by completing. the mission last night. You have Jayd. Dub and Chad Homegr. You start with. those three. Now what end up happening. like you know with a young team like. this right they win and have success. early and now rightfully so a lot of. those guys like Aaron Wiggins like. Jaylen Williams that come in off the. bench m like a uh you know Kase Wallace.
those guys are going to want a bigger. role. So, I wouldn't be surprised if Sam. Prey start making moves, you know, here. in the near future. And it's not because. he don't want those guys. It's because. he wants to do right by those guys, right? Like, he wants to he he wants. those guys to go out and be able to earn. their money, right? And be able to have. a starting role on other teams. He don't. want to do it, but it's the right thing. to do because remember, this is a job.
and guys do need to get paid. you want. to get to the bag and so he has a. million draft picks. So we expect him to. draft well but those I I would look as I. I would think Sam would make moves and. not because those play he don't want. those players back. It's because he want. to do right by those players and send. them to the right situation where they. can have a bigger role to make sure they. set up and secure their bag for the. future. Yeah. for us in the NFL. Uh,
anytime somebody got cut by the. Patriots, they never cleared waiverss. because everybody was like, "If they're. good enough for the Patriots, they're. good enough for us." We will certainly. think that's the case. We assume that. begins for the Oklahoma City Thunder, which is what it sounds like you were. describing. Even the guys on the bench. uh are going to be uh have a big market. because people want championship caliber. in their program. Speaking of. championship caliber, this guy will. never be questioned on whether or not he. can win the big one. Uh Debb has a. question for you. Yes. day just getting. over the hump, jumping on a very, very.
short list, getting the score title, MVP, and winning the uh trophy. So, does. this put him in rare air? Does this make. him the face of the NBA now going. forward and the best player in the NBA? I know that's been Joker, that's been. Greek Freak, I know Edwards, we wanted. to make him the face. Uh, what's your. thoughts now with SGA being in that. position? He is the best player in the league. He. is the best player in the league. And. history tells us when we look down, you. know, the past 5 years, right? We look.
at when Giannis won it, you know, we. were we were waiting on that moment for. him to win the NBA championship and. finals MVP. We anointed him as the best. player in the league. When Joic won it. uh and completed the mission, we. anointed him as the best player in the. league. Coming into this series, I. already said that SGA was the best. perimeter player in basketball, but for. for the run that he had just this. season, the scoring title, the MVP, sitting at different tables, he joined.
Michael Jeffrey Jordan this past season. for having far as having three. consecutive seasons of averaging 30. while shooting over 50%. from the field. M he's 66. He don't rely. on his athleticism. He brought the. mid-range back to the NBA and proved. that you could win championships by not. just shooting up a bunch of three-point. shots. So when you talk about the face. of the league or you talk about the best.
player in the league, I mean, what else. do he has to do? He has taken over the. throne in my opinion. He never missed. any perk. It was like whenever we were. playing the Knicks and I was at the. games when Jaylen Brunson would have a. space, any space he was making. It just. felt like percent. I don't know where. his missed percentages are coming from. cuz every time I see this guy shoot the. ball, it's going in. That's just what it. felt like for SGA. It's that like every. single time he had the ball in his. hands. It was like this guy's going to. get a bucket. It is. It was outrageous. live in person. It's like SGA hasn't.
been that big of a factor. Then you look. up 18 points already and it's in the. second quarter. It's like this guy's. effortlessly doing all these things. Now, people get mad about his push off. I I I think that is something that NBA. fans are were certainly getting loud. about. And on defensive side, maybe. they're doing some hacking themselves. You know, there's always going to be. that angle, especially in basketball. But the judgment of SGA, do you think. it's warranted or not? Do you think he's. just pure bucket getter? Could get it in. any era if he had to. Well, I I think. he's just a pure bucket getter. the the.
fact that look, you have you have guys. that retired Pat that centers that don't. shoot over 50% from the field for their. career and they're right around the damn. basket. He's doing this on tough. contested tools and driving to the paint. finishing in traffic over over towers. Here's what I will say when it comes. down to to I mean, damn, look at that. Look at that. I mean, look at that. But.
but here's here's what I will say. I. I've been wanting to tell y'all real. quick to shift to move to shift over a. little bit. What the hell? What are they. doing? Are they doing down there in. Canada? What What are they doing down? No, no, no. It's a great thing because. they are they are breeding Can I Can I. drop a Fbomb real quick? Yeah. They are. breeding [ __ ] dogs down there. Damn. right. You look at you look at look at.
this series. SGA, Nimhart, Matan, and then Luke Doris. All four of. those guys. One thing we didn't question. was how hard they was going to compete. night in and night out. I'm thinking. about moving my damn family to Canada. cuz I want I want my boys to have some. of that damn intensity in their. bloodstream. You're talking about Kid. Canada Perkins up there. Kid Canada. You're right. I uh I'm gonna name drop.
I'm gonna name drop here. And uh this is. a weird name for me to name drop. I will. say at this moment uh Wayne Gretzky. texted me. Okay. Before game seven. Great one. And. yeah, I I want to make sure I get this. Yeah. Wayne Gretzky text me. It was. what? Talk about a yard goat. Just would. like it to be Yeah. Yeah. ice goat. Goat. Range goat. Uh, I know you're a. huge Pacer fan, so I'm hoping you all. the best of luck in the championship. game, game seven. I'm not that.
knowledgeable in basketball, but it's. been an incredible series, and I know. there's two Canadians on Indie, and. there's two Canadians on OKC. Wish you. the best of luck tomorrow night. So, then I replied, "Great one. Thank you for texting me.". Okay, let's not make it so. uncomfortable. And then I go, "Uh, it's. been all so great for our city. It has. brought us together. We've knew it for a. few years. It's been wonderful to. experience. Pascal Seakum. also traded from Toronto. Uhhuh. Okay.
So, if you want to count that as a. Canadian cont uh contribution, we have. three Canadians on India Indiana. They. have two. You're a Pacers fan. Plus, he. started his hockey career in. Indianapolis. Indiana's professional. career. So, I was hoping the great one. would be pulling for the Pacers. He no. responded that. So, so I I think he was. just happy Canadians were doing their. thing. You're not the only one noticing. that. Uh, Big Perk. Let's talk about a. guy out of Pittsburgh. Go ahead, Ty. Schmidt. Yeah, Big Perk. Uh, obviously. this might be a little bit of recency.
bias, but when you look at everything TJ. McConnell did in the playoffs, I mean, last night, if it's not for him in that. third quarter, the Pacers probably get. beat by 30. I think he was the only. person to score for like a 12minute. stretch, just bucket after bucket after. bucket. But when you look at everything. he did in this series, do you think that. was maybe the most impressive. performance by someone coming off the. bench in like the history of basketball? It damn sure it was close at 61. The way.
that he's able to get to his spots, finish over bigger guys, finish in. traffic, taking the contact. A damn dog. A damn dog. I had to I had to go find. him yesterday and tip my hat off to him. I I gave him a hug because and then I. after I gave him a hug, I went to the. back and I Googled and I had to look at. his contract because I needed to see. what the hell this man was getting paid. Him and Peyton Pritchard are probably to.
stay up there for his best contracts in. the NBA. Y I think he uh TJ McConnell is. getting paid $11 million a year. He. should be getting paid $20 million a. year. Amen. He gives not but Amen. So to. to all the to all the young hoopers out. there in the world that's worried about. if they're going to grow, if you need to. be 67, 68, 7 foot to be able to make it. to the league. Look at TJ McConnell. 61. hard worker and look where he's at right.
now. He look, if he was on the market, he will be probably one of the biggest. free agents available. Yeah, we we're. not going to let him go. We paid him. last off season. We uh we locked him. down the $11 million a year. I agree. As. soon as we saw him start playing with. this team, gel with this team, he's like. perfect for the team. He's a [ __ ]. talker, too, man, which we appreciate. I. love uh everything about it. TJ McClonno. winning the MVP last night was a thought. in that third quarter in in that third. quarter 11,000. It was like, wait, yeah,
it was uh Yeah, I think it was plus. 11,000. It was like, is TJ McConnell. going to do it about to score 30 in a in. a decided? We thought we were coming. back into that perk. I know you didn't. think that ever, but there was a time. that we were down 14. And I'm like, and then I kept him afloat. He kept him. afloat. He just keeps going, man. He. just keeps going. And I hate that for. Tyrese Hallebertton, too, man. I like I. was in that position. I was in that. position 2010. You know, I tore my ACL.
in game six. and and what's going. through your mind as a player is that. you don't know if you're ever going to. get back to the promised land again and. be back in that moment. And I get it. He. wanted to be on the floor. Now, I will. say this when he when the reports when. Shawn's first reported that he had a a. calf strain, I was the one that said and. not because, you know, I I was being a. homer towards OKC and wanted them to. win. I wanted to see high level.
basketball. I wanted to see Tyrese. Hallebertton on the floor. But I was one. of I was the one that came on national. television and said I wouldn't play. right. I wouldn't play on it because I. said the same thing in 2019 when Kevin. Durant was dealing with the same thing. And it's it's on record that you know I. if I'm Kevin Durant I wouldn't play on. it. And they both, you know, sad sad, you know, unfortunately both of them. tore, you know, do dealing K to his.
Achilles and now you looking at this. situation with Tyrese Hallebertton and. it's hard because you want to be out. there, but at the end of the day, you. also got to think about the long haul. and think about your future as well. Just a just a hard situation. Yeah. Sucks. The word Achilles is uh just like. an immediate for everybody for all. parties in sports. Devastated for. Tyrese. Uh if it is torn, we're all. assuming it's torn. Uh we do not know. 100% if it is. No, we have not been told. any information that the world has not.
been told. So we assume we're all we've. all seen it though. I mean uh you know. we're all thinking the same thing. We're. not doctors. Dr. Perk would be cool uh. to experience as a whole. Jay Will put. out a tweet about how many torn ACLs or. I'm sorry, torn Achilles there has been. uh in sport. Yeah, here's uh the ACL. Achilles. I don't think I guess this. isn't from Jay Will, but there's a tweet. that has a listed out of all these. injuries that have like taken place this. season alone. And it's like I don't know. what's normal, you know, like it's like.
when the NFL has injuries. It's like is. it happening to more notable players and. that's why we're knowing about it as. opposed to players that aren't like in. the superstar position or is it actually. changing because the game is moving at a. rapider speed because everything this. more high contact like there's so many. questions right now as every sport's. getting faster and faster and what can. the body take or is this normal? I it's. uh last night didn't feel normal. Here's. Jay Willispost. Eight torn Achilles this. season. Tyresese Hallebertton is the. latest. The NBA is playing at its.
fastest pace since the early 70s. 108.9. possessions per game. We're chasing. tempo highlights and algorithms, but at. what cost? The product is faster, but. the bodies are breaking and no one's. pumping the brakes. I mean, it's a great. I I mean, it's hard not to think that. way, especially whenever we see Tatum go. down and Megastar. I don't know who that. was, but tell him. Uh, and then we see. Tyrese Hallebertton. That's two. superstars. Mega stars in the biggest. moments. Yeah. and Dame forgot about. Dame time. I'm so sorry. These are. superstars in massive moments where it's. happening. Yeah. And Tyrese and Tatum.
both I mean they started their seasons. as you could argue with the Olympics. Yeah. So like with how far back they've. been playing over these last 12 months, like even that is a little bit of a. factor you could assume. All right, let's talk about the Pacers in the. offseason as Kendrick Perkins continues. conversations with people walking into. his room randomly. Go ahead, Tone. My. bad. That was housekeeping. Yeah, all. good. All good. No, we're good. No, no. pillow. No, I'm good. Leave towels. leaf. towels and some new water. New waters. Need new water. So, thank you so much. Thank you. So, go ahead, Joe. Yeah, perk. Uh, unfortunately, that happens to.
Tyrese last night and if we're assuming. it is the Achilles tear, that'll be, you. know, he's out all of next season. So, like if you're the Pacers front office, like do you what do you do this. offseason or what do you do next season? Like, do you just try to run it back. with Nehard and TJ at the point and just. see how next season goes and just kind. of wait till Tyrese gets back? Like, how. do you think the Pacers should approach. this off seasonason out in free agency? Well, well, one, let me say this. Guys, guys got a taste of how what it feels. like to make a run and be in the NBA.
finals. So, I expect guy a guy like, you. know, Aaron N Smith, Matan to go back. and get back into the lab and get. better, right? And that's what that's. how these Pacers got to this point, through hard work. And so, they're not a. team that's their first priority is. making sure that they sign Miles Turner. back, right? you want to bring him back. I know he didn't have the best finals, but what he did up into the finals being. one of the best shot blockers, you know, in this postseason, obviously his.
three-point shot wasn't falling, but no. one could say that he wasn't a huge. piece or one of the biggest keys for. them making it to this to this spot. So, you want to make sure you resign him. But, I will say this, if you're the. Pacers, you do want to get better, right? every single season you do want. to get better and re-evaluate your squad. and see areas that you could clean up, whether that's adding someone to the. bench or whatever the case may be. I I. think they wait and watched and see what.
happens in the draft because it's going. to be a lot of movement in the draft. I. I'm hearing a whole lot of things. Obviously, you know, Shams is way better. than that than than I am. you know, I. wait for him to report, but from what. I'm hearing is, you know, they have a. lot of teams that could be possibly, you. know, moving on from quote unquote some. of these franchise guys that are already. there. I heard yesterday was just the. start, right? We said we didn't already.
seen Desmond Bane get traded. Last. yesterday, we saw Kevin Durant get. moved. I'm hearing guys like LaMelo. Ball. I'm hearing that relationship with. the with the Hornets is not where it's. at. I'm hearing the Hornets, you know, are really taking a deep dive and and. and, you know, trying to see if they if. they want to move in the direction of. him being their franchise guy. It's. going to be a lot of things that's going. to be shaken up around the NBA. Sham. said it's going to be the most craziest. off season ever. Exact words, I believe.
Most craziest offse ever. And you. mentioned what happened yesterday. We. had been covering that every day for. like two weeks cuz there was a new. wrinkle that was seemingly breaking. because whenever somebody like Kevin. Durant is being talked about, the whole. world wants to know. Uh Connor has a. question for you. Yeah, per KD trade, he's going to Houston. Dylan Brooks, uh. Jaylen Green, the 10th overall pick and. 5 seconds are going back to the Suns. It. feels like almost an even trade. KD was.
actually on the stage at Fanatic's. Goofball Fest while he got traded and it. felt Sports Fest. Sports Ball Fest. It. felt as though KD kind of knew that that. was coming. Uh what did you think about. the trade? It feels like KD reuniting. with Maud DOA in Houston's great and. also the Suns getting a first round pick. with two starters feels great. Do you. feel like it was an even type trade? And. are the Houston Rockets now, you know, one of those top four, top five teams to. be competing for the title next year?
Hell yeah. The the Rockets are a title. contender with Kevin Durant. And the. Rockets won that trade. I I I listen, if. you're Phoenix, how do you like it's. nowhere in hell you that trade happens. and you don't at least get a Jabari. Smith or Cam Whitmore, right? That's. that's the that's the first thing. So, the Rockets won because the Rockets. really to be honest and this and I say. this with all respect to to Jaylen Green.
and Dylan Brooks. What those guys what. those two guys done for the Rockets last. year, helping them make a a playoff. runs, pushing Golden State to seven. games, being number being second in the. Western Conference, they were they were. a huge part of it. But let me say this, they they the Rockets didn't give up. much. They kept everything that they. need to go out there and compete. When. you think about when you think about. their centerpieces, Aman Thompson,
Shangon, who I call Baby Joic, Tar Een, who is one of the best perimeter. defenders in the league, him and Aean. Thompson. And then you sign Big Steven. Adams. Okay, Big Steve. I love Big Steve. from New Zealand. Y'all know Big Steve. go hog hunting in New Zealand with no. shoes on in a big big night. You know. what I mean? He's saying with dogs. Does he have dogs. or no dogs? Rambo knife. I I see he got. one of those dogs. Those what the what. what is it called? Some type of.
shepherd. One of those like a bang dog. Like a b like a bang, I think. But it. probably could climb trees and stuff. like that. I don't know. But here here's. the thing, right? And then you have a. coach that you just signed in extension. and Eudoku who I believe is one of the. best coaches in the NBA. you figure out. a way to they're going to figure out a. way to get this Fran Van Bleet deal. situated. Whatever they're doing with, you know, whatever they're doing with. him, they're going to bring him back. Who's I I I would say with all due.
respect to Oklahoma City, I mean, the. Rockets could be the team going into. next season as, you know, the front. runners for I mean, you know, the favor. as far as winning it all or at least. winning the Western Conference. Don't. come giving me this about KD is old. I. don't want to hear that. Kevin Durant is. still giving you 27 points a night on. 50% shooting, 40% from the three, and 90. from the free throw line. I don't give a.
damn what nobody got to say. He's the. greatest scorer to ever play the game. He is the greatest scorer in my eyes to. ever play the game. Uh, okay. I don't. want to get into the debate. I have not. done enough research and don't feel like. I'm the one to battle you. Who do people. say? Who Who do people say Steph? Michael Jeffrey Jordan. Michael Jordan. Uh LeBron has the record. And LeBron. points king. Yeah. Put the crown on. Kareem. Koozie did Larry Bird. The way. he used to [ __ ] take that thing from.
Dine Time. Yep. T-Mac. Yeah. T-Mac. Yep. Kobe Crown. Kobe. I mean, I'm not I'm. not I'm not Listen, it's all it's it's. all in your preference. Some people like. to drink Hennessy. Some people like to. drink Serat. Some people like to drink. tequila. At the end of the day, they all. get you drunk. So, it's not a debate. It's just your preference. Yeah, we're. all headed to the same destination. What. you're saying? All right. I I. understand. Last question here uh from. Debut. We appreciate your time here, Perk. You just talked about KD.
Obviously, he's already moved uh Giannis. Greek Freak out in Milwaukee. What do. you think the next best move for him? Is. it to stay with Doc and running back in. Milwaukee or do you see him moving on. maybe possibly joining forces in Houston. with KD or going elsewhere maybe Miami. with uh Spo? What you think uh best move. for Giannis going forward? I mean I. think I think any team that gets Giannis. instantly becomes a title contender to. me right now he's already a top five.
power forward to ever play the game of. basketball. I believe he's won. championship, one finals MVP from being. the second greatest power forward of all. time behind Tim Duncan. If I'm Giannis, if I'm Giannis, I'm definitely looking. at Miami. Uh, I'm definitely looking at. the Detroit Pistons. I would love to see. Giannis and Kade Cuttingham playing. alongside one another. Also, if you're. Giannis, why are you not looking at. Toronto, right? Why are you not looking.
at Toronto? You have Messiah Jury there. They have a a very special relationship. I mean, those are the three destinations. if I'm Giannis or maybe even the Spurs, but I heard Giannis don't want to go out. west. I heard he wants to stay in the. Eastern Conference, but I don't know why. Giannis would want to stay in Milwaukee. Not Hold on. And let me say this, Chase. Not well, not not because Milwaukee is a. bad city, but he's not going to win. another championship there right now.
Dame is going to be out probably. majority of the season. We see the. Eastern Conference teams are it's going. to be a lot of movement this off. seasonason. Teams are going to get. better. And and if Giannis wants out of. Milwaukee, no one should say a damn. thing. This guy has done every single. thing in the book to do right by this. organization and take this organization. to new heights, especially from an. economic standpoint. Think about what.
Giannis has boy. He's an economy mover, right? A game changer. You think about. it, they got a new arena. You look at. Milwaukee, they got new restaurants. So. if Giannis wanted to leave, the only. thing Milwaukee fan base should be. saying is, "Thank you, Giannis. We. appreciate and he will get a parade. wherever he heads to, you know, that. that's always the other side of the. entire It's just like Kevin Durant.". Used to Yep. Yep. Even a week ago, maybe. people were like, "No, we don't want. Kevin Durant on our team." Then he get. Kevin Durant on your team like we got. great scoring history. Yeah, absolutely.
Bun Bun B got the Trill Burgers ready. Paul Wall, Slim Thug, Don Kiki, they got. the slabs out with the candy coated. paint, the super poker rims. Hey, listen. They ready for Kevin Durant now. My phone was blowing up. They fired up. Hey, Houston chopped and screwed, right? That's where it all kind of started in. Houston. You do it. DJ Screw. Okay. All. right. All right. Here, man. Ladies and. gentlemen, NBA champion. Hell of a year. by you, Perk. Appreciate y'all, man. Thanks for having ladies and gentlemen, Kendrick Perkins.
Houston had a run. Oh yeah. Like a I. mean I assume people used to say, "What. do you mean had one?" Still doing it. We. are still doing We are still in the. middle of it. Travis Scott. Hey, there's. a uh there's a man who has an aura. around him whenever he shows up. He. shows up at WWE every once in a while. Yeah. And it's just like soon as he. walks in, it's like, "Holy [ __ ] Travis Scottish." and. everybody kind of reacts the same exact. way. He's huge. Huge. Huge. I I didn't.
know I I don't mean I'm not a the. biggest Travis Scott fan, but you look. at his shows and like the crowds and. like like when he was on his round I. know I feel like lately maybe not as. much doing you know shows and I don't. know if he's dropped the album lately. but yeah his his aura his following is. crazy on commentary whenever they give. you uh something to say about the person. it's like the stats about him 17. trillion it's like the number was just. like so like congrats Travis Scott love.
that you're here, brother. Yeah. Astro. World must have made at least half a. billion because it felt like when that. was going on and that was the only and. biggest, you know, concert that was. there's a dock on there, right? Yeah, there's a dock on it because the people. that passed away because so many people. were trying to get to it. Like tells a. different story there, don't it? I think. there's like an actual behind the uh. scene story there. There's all those. docks that come out are very. fascinating. The uh Bin Laden one was. crazy. Bin Laden one was insane. I. actually watched uh most of the Karen. Reed one. That one is I've not seen that.
one. And that that's Massachusetts, right? Massachusetts. Yeah. Very. Her. she's not guilty. She is not guilty. That started like a year and a half, two. years ago. Yeah. A little while twice, right? Yeah. The first one was a. mistrial. What a wild though. Crazy. And. now and it's not over like for Karen. Reed. It's It's over. But they're. investigations now. Let's figure out. what happened now. This is like damn. near a murder investigation for the. entire documentaries. Uh Ocean Gate. Yeah. Right. That was a good one. What's. that? Uh the Ocean Gate one. Oh, I. haven't seen it. Yeah. Just watch that. one. Good one. Yeah, pretty good. Um,
unfortunately that was going to happen. no matter what is what the doc said. Yeah, I think that I mean we were went. to the deepest part of the ocean in a. cardboard box pretty much. I we didn't. watch the doc so we don't know if it is. a cardboard box, but Oh, it is the way. we were talking about cuz we were live. when this was happening, right? Yeah. PlayStation controller. Yeah. Yes. I. mean, that makes sense. Let's not let's. not harp on that being I'm not going to. p the ocean with a PlayStation. controller. I should have died in the. middle of a 2K jump shot. I'm not going.
to buy the ocean. Come on. It was wired. I trust Sony, but. it was a wire controller. The head guy. was ignoring all safety protocols. He. was just so obsessed with getting to the. Titanic. So, didn't Jimmy Cameron go. down diner? He did. Yeah. So, did he go. see the Titanic or have people I know he. went to like the Mariana Trench I think. during the Titanic thing, but that's the. thing. Jim Cameron, you know, is is. taking a military submarine. Like he's. he understands that you can't just build.
something in your backyard. Well, this. is like uh rocket mad. Yeah. So, he was. trying to commercialize it. That was the. whole thing. He wanted like really uh. rich people to be able to do this on a. consistent basis. So, didn't work. Yeah. It did not work out. We're in the middle. of a prime documentary season. Yes, we. are. Truly. Mhm. Let's learn something. about something. Just there's some good. stuff coming out. And then let's find. out something complete opposite just a. little bit later. That's the world we're. in right now. It's tough. Yeah, they're. so good. It can make you believe.
anything. Anything. And then all of a. sudden, like uh four months later, I'll. read a thing. It's like that can't be. real because of blah blah blah. Like, well, it turns out actually two things. can be true at the same time. What would. I watch that doc for? I've been getting. in some of those shitty shows. Oh, okay. Like what? Uh reality ones, Destination. X, I believe, is the name of one that. looks like it's fun. Everybody's living. in a bus. Europe roads are very small. I. don't know how the dayto-day is for that. particular show. Good show. Like that. show. Saw a lot of commercials for Love. Island. I think somebody's doing.
something on here. I tried it. It's. popping off. I watched the uh first. Well, what about this one? You see this. one lady was in love. She found her. soulmate. He leaves less than 24 hours. She was with somebody else. He's in bed. with another guy. I saw that clip. Love. Islands, the newest season. I believe. it's season 7. I watched the first. episode. By far the worst thing these. eyes have ever seen. I've seen some I've. yet to commit to a full episode. I can't. do it. I I just see a little clip every. once in a while. I turn video game on. after the uh All right. Well, good. We. got We got to actually That's called.
filling time. Ladies and gentlemen, joining us now is guy who was on the. call for the College World Series and. every baseball moment that we have cared. about since we have existed. Ladies and. gentlemen, ESPN legend Call Rav. Yeah, Ravie. How you doing, Ravi? I'm doing great. How are you guys doing? Good. Thank you so much for joining us. And uh what a weekend. What a time out. there in Omaha. This LSU team. Unbelievable. But have to talk about the. controversy first. Uh umpire tosses the.
coach out. First innings. Scott hasn't. lost uh like 27 straight games. First. year coach down in Coast Carolina. It's. the first inning of an elimination game. in the College World Series. Uh best two. out of three. LSU wins the first game. Saturday night. That pitcher's a dog. We'll talk about that. But then they. pitch the coach or or they kick out the. coach in the first inning. How is this. even possible, Ravi? There's no way that. anybody agrees with this sentiment. Or. is this how college baseball is normally.
umped? No, it's definitely not normal. Uh it's it's never normal to throw an. umpire out in the first inning. Uh the. guy right there just tri he actually. tripped a little bit. Don Zimmerish, remember when Zim got thrown to the. ground by Pedro? There was a little. bouncing there. Um, in this case, that. umpire tripped over the foot of another. umpire. That's not why he got thrown. out. It's not why he would have gotten. the second game suspension. Look, I you. just said on your show that that there. are there was a possibility that both. sides are actually in this case wrong.
versus right. Uh that was a feisty game. from the beginning. Uh if you if you. happen to see it, but if not, we had them. third base coach because he. thought the third base coach was. stealing signs and signals. Dirty baseball. And then the a little. dirty baseball. At least he thought it. was dirty baseball. And then and then. after that, in the bottom of the first, the umpire gets into it with the first. base coach. So we had a third base coach.
for LSU and a first base coach for. Coastal, arguing the first base coach. was questioning balls and strikes, which. you cannot do. I mean, it's this is sort. of like one of the cardinal rules in. baseball. you and in case of college, you cannot argue balls and strikes and. then Kevin Schnull the the coaster comes. out and gives you one of these. You you. miss three calls like right away you. know you're done and a you can't come. out and b you're not going to put up. three to say you missed three. So he was.
done then. Uh I wish that the home. played on. had been a lot more demonstrative in his. telling. Dude, stop. Do not come out here. cuz if you were dead and that was the. end of it. Yeah. All right. Thank you, Rabbit. You. [Applause]. tough services. He's driving through. Omaha right now trying to get out of. there. We heard a lot of the tough. situation. I I think what he was trying. to say was if we were to piece that.
together, both sides in a wrong here. rule tensions were high. I can't be. doing that. And then when he goes three. like that, he's not just complaining. about one pitch, which you can't do. He's not complaining about two pitches, which you definitely can't do. He's. complaining about three pitches at one. time. So just a little bit tension's. high, a little bit testy, and inevitably. are you okay? That I needed that. That. was uh that was awesome. That was. hilarious. I appreciate Rabbi just. trying to battle through that. But boy, he had to know we couldn't hear [ __ ].
Couldn't hear anything. You know, he's hanging up his phone too. screaming. You know, there is some. FaceTimes as a FaceTime where the other. people can see you fully. Oh, yeah. And. you can't see a single thing cuz I've. been on a side where I could see the. other person. They're going, "Oh, I. bought bad service." And then they're. like walk around. I'm like, "Yo, I can. see you right now." And they don't think. cuz they got bad stable connection, unstable connection or whatever. I. wonder if he had complete connection and. we didn't have any or was he just. powering right through a gray screen. I.
think he was and he was just going [ __ ]. it. They can hear me. That's that's. sounds like something professional do. Yeah. I appreciate his passion. Yeah. Mhm. Golf was awesome this weekend. Yes, it was. Oh, yeah. Now, we have to go. back to the 15th hole to really tell the. story of golf. The travelers. championship and elevated. tournament. Three and a half million. goes to the winner. That's a big deal. 4. and a half million US Open. Okay, that's. one of the majors, US Open. 4 and a half. million to the winner. Obviously, the. prize pool much larger. This is one of. those elevated tournaments immediately. after a major because you see what they. had seen in the past is after a big.
tournament, tough one like Oakmont, right? Yeah. Just beat your dime. A lot. of the bigname golfers didn't want to. play in the next tournament the next. week. They go, I'm just I need a week. Can I take a week a breather from what. just happened? A lot of traveler, a lot. of pressure. Course beat my ass. We're. going to take it off. So the PGA with. the development of live was kind of. forced to put more money into the pot. So now after a major like US Open, they. have an elevated event which is a big. deal. Travelers big deal. A lot of money. on the line. All the big names are. golfing. It came down to three. Henley. kind of shot himself in a foot late.
Mhm. He had a great tournament though. Henley did good job. Had to chip in to. kind of keep himself in the story. But. it really came down to Tommy Fleetwood. who is man been a top 10 finisher 41. times. Yikes. For never won. still. living good. Certainly Fairway Jesus. He is now 42. time top 10 finisher in the PGA, but he. was in the lead by a pretty good amount. He was in the lead actually by three. strokes going into 15. It's a lot. He. was at 16 under Keegan Bradley, American.
captain for the Rder Cup. Hell yeah. USA. There's USA chance. He was at 13 under. This is the 15th hole on a Sunday. That's a threestroke spread, brother. That's going to be tough to make up. Yeah. Well, what happens? Well, they get. the hole 16. Fleetwood 16 under. Keegan. Bradley 14 under. Okay. Climb. Climb. Slowly climbing one at a. time. Let's go to the 17th hole. Tommy. Fleetwood bogey. He's at 15 under. Tommy.
Keegan Bradley Par. He's at 14 under. All of a sudden, we have a one stroke. match going into 18. Tommy Fleetwood would bogey. 18. Keegan Bradley would birdie 18. That's a. twostroke swing. America wins on the. 18th hole after our captain Keegan. Bradley puts it to six feet away from.
the pin in a must birdie have. That. would have been for Par. I'm sorry, that. was Keegan Bradley. Tommy Fleetwood. missed the same exact putt for Par. ends. up getting a bogey. Keegan Bradley does. the two-stroke swing on the 18th hole to. win the Travelers in 3.5 million to he. and his caddy. Congratulations to Keegan. Bradley. It was electrifying. It was. absolutely electrifying. Awesome. A lot. of names in there. A lot of names. potentially dancing. Scotty's going to.
get there maybe even on a Sunday. Instead, Keegan wins for America. We're. back on the other side. We'll see you. then. What a. [Music]. He's saying don't go off the top. It's. too shallow. All you're going to hear this stadium do. is they put the big paw up. They start. shaking it. They go, "Whoa. [Applause].
Yeah, he loves the defensive side of the. ball. He said yesterday to me that this. is a bluecollar team. They win it on. special teams. They have five block. kicks this season. The defensive side of. the ball, Lynch leads the Big 12 in. sacks. But also on the offensive side, Denzel Mims is an absolute animal. He is. a weapon. Charlie Brew is a quarterback. from Wake Travis. His dad was a. quarterback in Texas. His grandpa was a.
quarterback in Texas. And the people. here in Waco just so happen to get a. chance to see Charlie Brewer on a daily. basis. Hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey. Wake. Yeah, boomer is going to mean a little. bit different than what it means on the. internet currently. And hopefully here. in Baylor, they hope they are not. hearing a lot of boomer. Everybody wants to be a punter, including quarterbacks. If I was a. quarterback, I'd want to be a punter as. well. Zero yards on that punt.
embarrassing situation. The Dance that. gets on national television has led to a. lot of losses, but you got to respect. the hips being. am I going to make college game day. Well, I want to make something creative. I want to make something fun. No, to. hell with it. I don't like Oh, you. thick. That's years and years of patience. Right now, okay, let's do it. Good job. are out here on the Brazes River when. you can take a boat to the game. One of.
the only stadiums in the country that. you can do. It's beautiful out here. A. lot of people would say this is the last. time I'm going to be on game day. Last. time I allegedly did what I'm about to. do, I ended up in a jail cell. Let's go. [Applause].
[Applause]. Bad decision. Bad decision. The poop kickers. did a lot higher than I thought. You. guys, you look like Ric Flair. [Applause].
It was like 5 ft. I'm standing there. That's full commitment. By the way, the following program is a collection of. students talking about happenings in the. sports world. It is meant to be comedic, informative. The opinions expressed on. this show do not necessarily reflect the. beliefs of their peers, their boss or. ESPN. There may be some cuss words. because that's how humans in the real. world talk. If you are a young, please.
seek permission before watching any. further. Hey, let's go. This show sticks and the fact that you. listen, we are very very thankful for. That could be on the line with a. gorgeous assist. The alltime leading. tackler for the Green Bay Packers, you. stop. Damn it. Your friend, tell a friend. something nice could change their life. [Applause].
[Music]. Hello, beautiful people, and welcome. back to our humble abode, the. Thunderdome on this championship over. reaction Monday, June 23rd, 2025. Hour. two of the program starts now. Sports are happening all around us and. uh we're incredibly lucky that we get a. chance to chat about them every single. day. The Oklahoma City Thunder won their. first ever title last night. I'm happy. for them. Yeah, they look like a team. that I'd be a big fan of if they weren't.
competing against the Indiana Pacers. They built through the draft. They built. their own superstars. They traded in an. old Italian guy from Chicago and they. went to work and they were dominant from. the beginning of the season all the way. through last night. Now, the Pacers. obviously gave them hell. The Pacers. were obviously counted out through every. single series that they were in because. they didn't start out that great this. season. That was not the case for. Oklahoma City. Oklahoma City started out. great. All year long, Oklahoma City fans. were saying, "Hey, hey, hey, hey, hey,
hey, talk about us." Cleveland Cavaliers. fans on the east were like, "Hey, hey, hey, talk about us." Oklahoma City, Cleveland Cavaliers, most dominant teams. in the NBA. One representing the West, one representing the East on a collision. course to two Goliaths. Well, the Indiana Pacers knocked out the. Cleveland Cavaliers and then did the big. ball dance on their court. Y and then. the Indiana Pacers became the Monsters. of the East and they took on this. Oklahoma City team that was having. history written all over it all season. long. They the MVP. Obviously, they had.
this young coach who went to Yukon at. the same time as nine-year NFL vet, Dary. J. But Baller, did you give Dags all this information? I probably gave him buckets and inter. murals. We were there at the same time. Yo, Dags bought the wood. You had no. chance. I'm sure I gave him four. I got. it. No chance. Dags is filing you. Yeah. On the way to the after your first. points. Took a couple charges. I listen. to him talk. That guy's a genius. Sam. obviously the guy that put the team. together. He's a genius. ownership has a. city that's ready to go to battle for. them every single night. That Oklahoma.
City team is an absolute wagon and it. was fun to watch them do their thing. But the Indiana Pacers lose their. superstar in the first quarter and it. kind of pulled a little bit of doom and. gloom over the whole thing. We're bummed. out here in Indiana obviously because we. lost but also because Tyrese. Hallebertton you know his future from. all accounts and we assume Sham Shani. will be joining us here in a few moments. towards Achilles last night in the first. quarter. What he had been dealing with. before, we do not know. Calf tightness. or calf strain. There was an ankle. conversation and then last night we.
watched that thing reverb. We assume, we're not 100% sure. We're not doctors, but it's like that's a bummer. That's. our guy. What will the patients be next. year? We shall see. Will Oklahoma City. start a dynasty? We shall see. But at. least they won one title and that's the. one that we're we're currently chatting. about for the next 364 days. Congratulations to them. Let's go to the. talk table boss of Conor at Tai Schmidt. You need to take that Larry O off the. desk, brother. Celtics are no longer the. champs. It is the Oklahoma City Thunder. team that is the champion, not you, pal. You should probably remove that thing.
No. And the Florida Panthers are the NHL. champion. I don't know if they should. have the hockey bucket on top of Lario. either there, P. That's true. We can. take the hockey bucket off, of course. And granted, I don't want to rub salt in. the wound, but you might not know this. cuz the Pacers have never done it, but. you actually get to keep the trophies. you win. So, this one's not moving uh. from this desk. Actually look looking to. uh add another one here. hopefully soon. in the next few years. Tat and Tyresese. probably going to be together all. summer. So that will Good for each. other. Iron sharpens iron getting the.
Achilles better. You It's a isolating. experience whenever you're rehabbing an. injury. It's not fun. Mentally it's. tough. Physically it's very demanding. and difficult. It's going to require a. lot of time especially with Achilles. A. lot of time lot a lot of time. Vibes. have to be good because energy can go. down quick. So what's Tyrese who's. signing up for we assume is going to be. a long days. Tatum's going through the. same timeline. We shall see a little bit. ahead of schedule. Uh so hopefully. they'll be able to battle it together. and get back on the course sooner than. later. They're talk about a whole season. now. Yeah. I mean nine-year NFL veterary.
J Butler, one half of the hammer cowboys. AP tone. Uh joining us live from an. attic in Ohio is a college football. national champion, Super Bowl champion, Rder Cup winner. Ladies and gentlemen, AJ Hawk. Hawker, congrats to the Oklahoma City. Thunder. Uh obviously a dominating. performance in the second half last. night and throughout the entire season. Yeah, I mean it's tough obviously with. Tyrese going down and seeing it. It it. does kind of put a damper on on. everything I guess. Uh but yeah, I mean. this Oklahoma City team, they're it's. pretty impressive especially to get to.
game seven. They could have crumbled. They could have kind of uh you know. realized how big the moment was. They. could have let it all slip away. And. credit to them man. They're going to be. good for a long time though. That's the. thing. I'm not going to be the Pacers. fan. That says Tyrese was on his way to. 40. That was going to be a 40, 15, maybe. 9 to 11 game. Yes. For Tyrese with how. aggressive he was being at the. beginning. Legit. As I'm watching at. home, I'm like, "Oh." Oh, he's he's. thinking about Yeah. He's thinking about. it. Not Not just thinking about it. He's. having one here. He's having And then he.
was going down a court. He was pulling. up for a logo. Oh, he's going to have. another. And then one more time. He was. Yeah, I think he'll have another as. well. Yeah, that that is what it was. feeling like as I was watching. I was. like, "Wait, those are falling." Talking. [ __ ] deep, too. [ __ ] ass to the. sideline. So now there's a lot more I. don't want to say a lot more eyes on. Tyrese, but when Tyrese is being. aggressive like that, we talked about it. all serious. Now all of a sudden, Pascal. has a little bit more a little bit more. freedom. Knee Smith maybe sitting over. there in the corner able to operate. Nemard able to do his thing. Miles.
Turner maybe he just needs to operate in. the paint. No, not at three because he. hadn't been able to knock down a three. Did make one last night. That was a big. deal. That was big. Yeah, you're not clapping. for that. Yeah, I'm not clapping for it. No chance. I'll tell you what. I thought. at any moment his next one was going to. fall. I like that he was just shooting. though. Have to. I like that. Yeah. Still still doing it for sure. It It. really does suck cuz it is going to just. go down as like not for OKC. OKC. It's a. banner. Who cares? But as someone who. was pulling for the Pacers, it will go. down as one of those like what if cuz we.
there was a chance there was a chance he. goes on to have like a 40point legendary. game 70. Yeah, maybe 50. Why do we uh. hold it back at 40? He might had 60. points last night. Joining us now is a. guy who might have a little bit more. information. Senior NBA insider at ESPN. Friend of the program, ladies and. gentlemen. Sean Shiron. Oh, I like what we're doing. I like what. we're doing. Hotel room. I'm I'm I'm. Kendrick Perkins style right now. You. know, right right in the hotel room. I. don't have anyone from housekeeping. knocked on my door quite yet, though.
Yeah, of course. Cuz you fluff your own. pillows. We don't want anybody touching. them. Uh, I like the portrait mode that. we're currently on. You look fantastic. Let's get some updates from last night. Was Tyrese Hallebertton going to score. 60 points last night. And do we know. anything about Tyrese Hallebertton's. injury at this moment? Pat, it was it. was actually crazy being at that game. because I thought I thought we were. going to be in line for one of the best. game sevens potentially ever. I mean, the way that that the Pacers fought and.
they they got off to such a great start. Hallebertton got off to such a great. start, but then he has that fall. And. sources tell me that he has been. diagnosed with a torn right Achilles. Um, of course, any Achilles injury that. leads to a long period of of absence, usually 10 to 12 months. So, Tyresese. Hallebertton torn right Achilles tendon. And this effort that he had uh playing. through a calf injury, played through an. ankle issue. Clearly, there was. something going on in that calf, ankle,
achilles area throughout the NBA finals. that he's been playing through. He's. been managing. He's been dealing with. it. He really wanted to win a. championship. He wanted to put his body. on the line. And clearly, he was willing. to sacrifice his body to try to get a. championship. And he did in in the terms. of of, you know, he's going to be. dealing with a very lengthy period of. rehab. And I'm told he is evaluating. surgery and and which surgeon to have. the procedure with at this point. And. that's the next step for Tyres Hallebert. is is finding surgery sooner rather than.
later. We've seen Jason Tatum do it, Kevin Durant do it really within within. a day or two from the point of injury. that could lead to, you know, quicker. return or or more healthy return when he. is back on on the floor, I should say. So that's the most recent update on. Tyresese Hallebertton. And over the. course of his career, he's been. discounted at every stop. He was. discounted in the draft, traded away by. the Sacramento Kings, lands in Indiana, and the run he's been on as a Pacer. This is to me is one of the most. thrilling uh runs we've seen from a.
player, a team uh in in a while, maybe. in in playoff throughout the entire. playoffs. And what do you what do you go. four or four on clutch shots? Yeah. Yeah. So, he he had a he had a really. tremendous postseason. Okay. You said a. lot there. You did not confirm whether. or not he would had 60 last night. There's a chance still out there on. that. You confirmed, I believe, what our. suspicions were after the video of the. reverb. I mean, we saw with Aaron Rogers. on the court. We've seen it time before.
whenever it comes to sports. The. Achilles such a nightmare for athletes. and I assume others as well, but for. athletes, it's a devastating blow. Feels. like the ACL they've been able to figure. out a little bit better maybe what the. recovery of the rehab is. The Achilles. still 10 to 12 months. I I think if we. were to ask Aaron, he thought he was. going to be able to return a little bit. earlier. He probably thinks he didn't. feel right until a long time down the. road. You're saying he's contemplating. surgery right now. Uh he would probably. No, no, he he he Tyres Halburn will. undergo surgery. Uh deciding now what.
best surgeon there is. Um we've seen. Jason Tatum and Kevin Durant go to Dr. Ali in New York City uh for their. procedures. Kevin Durant went about 36. 48 hours after his Achilles tear in 2019. at the finals when he had it I think it. was in game five. Um and then obviously. as we know Jason Tatum injured it. against the Knicks and he ended up. really like 12 to 16 hours post injury. he ended up having surgery. So his was.
quick obviously it helped he was in New. York City. So Tyrus Halleurn's going. through the similar process now to. figure out exactly who's going to. perform this surgery. But I mean, it's. it's gut-wrenching for the Pacers. because they had put everything on on. the season in the next few years. They. were going to be a taxpaying team. Bring. back Miles Turner for and they're still. planning to bring back Miles Turner, but. the goal now for the Pacers, we'll see. just just how they could shift uh if if. at all or do you give this team another. runway to see how competitive they are. in the Eastern Conference. Hey, we love.
you, Tyrese. Good luck, buddy. We. appreciate you, Tyrese. Thank you for. everything. and to the Pacers team. Thank you for the incredible run. Uh. that has been Godspeed on recovery. Uh. Tyrese, he knows that that is a long. process. He's a professional athlete. He. understands what could come with it. But. if you know Tyrese, I would recommend. sending some messages throughout this. process. You know, any good little memes. you see, send them on over news, WWE. info, send them over to them. You know, keep the spirits high cuz that's a big. part of it, brother. Especially with how. isolated you could feel cuz you're away.
from your team. Hopefully he's able to. find uh you know everything in the. doctor that he's looking for for his. surgery and hopefully he's back sooner. than ever. Okay, let's move to some. other subjects around the NBA. Kevin. Durant ends up in the Houston Rockets. organization. You obviously said that I. think on June 11th on our show whenever. the conversation started. You said it. feels like Houston is very interested in. this entire thing. There was a couple. other teams. Uh I believe Minnesota was. in the convo. San Antonio was in the. convo because Kevin Durant wanted to go.
there. Miami Heat. We're in the. conversation. A lot of Heles fans were. obviously pushing hard for him to go to. Miami. Inevitably, he ends up with. Houston, which you thought was the most. serious candidate, I think, at the. beginning. Was it them the entirety? How. did this uh deal kind of come together? Shams, it it really came down to the. heat and the rockets over the last 24. hours before the trade. So really. between Friday, Saturday, and then. Sunday when the deal was was complete, it was really just the heat and the. rockets really bidding, going back and.
forth, negotiating. Both really wanted. to get Kevin Durant in the fold. But at. the end of the day, for from Miami's. end, they would have had to give up. either Khil Wear or a combination of. several different players. Jame Hakez. Jr., Nicole Yoic, Haywood Heismith, the. number 20th overall pick, and a. potential pick swap. All of those things. needed to be in the deal for Miami. unless they were going to give up Khar, which they weren't going to do. He's. their young prize prospect after a great. rookie year. They did not want to trade.
him. Essentially, he was left off the. table. Any conversation that was a. non-starter for them. So, from Phoenix. aside, it's okay. What else could they. give? The Heat decided that they were. not going to go uh to that length with. all those pieces to get a deal done. Maybe they'll do a couple of them. you. know, at different points. Jame Hakez. was discussed, Nicola Yovic was. discussed, the number 20th pick was. discussed, the pick swap was discussed, Haywood Highmith was discussed, but not. all of them in entirety. It's really. maybe two or four of those pieces or.
three of five. Like, so it was never. really concrete there. And from. Houston's perspective, Jaylen Green. averaged 20 points a game. Dylan Brooks. known as a a tough, gritty 3 and D type. player. uh to get two starters off of a. number two seed, which the Rockets were. last year. I think that's where Phoenix. looked at it and they felt like this is. better for them for now and moving. forward. And and honestly, the jewel of. all this was the number 10 overall pick. in the draft. And you talk about like. why now? Why did this trade happen now? The trade happened now because the NBA.
draft is two days away. Uh the the Suns. have to get moving on getting draft. prospects, getting intel, getting them. into their facility. So, that's really. the next step uh for for the Suns. So, I. think that the totality of the deal for. from the Rockets perspective just. outweighed anything that anyone else. could offer. And listen, Pat, at the end. of the day, Kevin Durant had a lot of. voice in this. And he made it clear. where he wanted to go. He made it clear. where he didn't want to go. And teams. heard it, the Suns heard it, and he had.
leverage because he had one year and $54. million left on his deal. And in the. NBA, when you're at that caliber of. player and you're on an expiring. contract, you have some level of sway in. a conversation. Uh, and if a team wanted. to make a swing at him without his. assurance or a commitment, they could. have, but no one did. Okay. So, is. Houston going to give him an extension. or is he play this out? How's that work? I I I that will be a conversation. I I. do expect Kevin Durant, his business uh. manager, Rich Kimman, and the Rockets to.
have those formal discussions on an. extension. Um I don't know if it'll be. this week, but I expect at some point in. July and August. Uh that's a. conversation that will happen. And. listen, Kevin Durant is eligible for I. think it's a 2-year $121 million. extension. Like will it be all of that? Will it be a part of that? Like it would. not surprise me to see how you know. Kevin Durant is approaching this. This. is a partnership. I think this is. there's a goal in mind here to end his. career in Houston on both sides on both.
fronts. And how can both sides be best. suited to do that in a way Pat in the. NBA now like we're throwing words like. second apron, first apron. I mean what. the NBA is dealing with right now, what. teams are dealing with is is essentially. some version of a hard cap. And so uh. how can he make it easy on Houston? How. can Houston do right by him? I think. that will be a conversation at some. point this offseason. Congrats to KD. He's being He's 37, right? Everybody. talking about his age. Talking about his. age. He He's 37 years old in basketball.
and uh he's still got 120 million bucks. waiting on him. Two years for two years. if he wants. Way to go. K. You earned. it, buddy. You did it. K. Game K's been. aging aging with grace. Yeah, absolutely. And he goes to a team where. he doesn't he's just. opposed to killies, too. Something to. remember. Oh, yeah. Because he was able. to bounce back. Here we go. Let's. chitchat about that whenever we're. talking about this particular team. Uh. Shams, uh Big Perk mentioned something. that was fascinating. Go ahead, Tone. Yeah, Shams, I something I haven't heard. anywhere else yet. Uh but Big Perk.
brought up LaMelo Ball's name when he. was on in in the first hour. Do you have. anything else on that or you does Big. Perk have different sources you on that. one? You know, I I haven't talked to Big. Perk about that. I I I I literally I. that that part I didn't see. So, I think. the only part I saw from Big Perk, the. only thing I listened to is when he. talked about housekeeping barging into. his rooms. Other than housekeeping. bothering him, I didn't I don't know. Didn't bother. Housekeeper was coming to. help. You want some water? He said. LaMelo Ball might be available for.
trade. Yeah, that's what he said. He. said he's hearing that the potential. LaMelo Ball future with Charlotte is a. conversation or something along those. lines. I I think if you're Charlotte, uh, you coming off backto-back seasons. where not much winning there. I'm sure. they're open to a lot. I haven't heard. anything definitive on LaMelo Ball or. any team or or or those conversations as. of yet, but this is that period of time. This week, Pat, next week, this is guys. when when when things are going to start. to circulate. We're going to see a lot. of rumors. We're going to see a lot of.
conversations. Um and and listen, if a. team calls the Hornets and makes a. massive offer or makes a real push for. for LaMelo Ball, uh I mean, if you're. the Hornets, you have to be all ears at. that point, right? Like you're at the. position that they are in their. franchise. What we've seen Jeff. Peterson, their general manager, do. there is accumulate a ton of assets. Since he's taken over, he's gotten. dozens of draft picks. He's been able to. add players on flexible contracts. So, you know, when you're in the initial. stages of a rebuild, that's typically. what you do. That's typically what you. prioritize. All right. You talk about um.
timelines, deadlines. Obviously, the. draft is right around the corner. Giannis, um KD was that big domino to. move your most craziest off season ever. Uh has anything changed on a Giannis uh. standpoint? Uh, no. I mean, what what I said last. time, I think when I spoke about Giannis. on this show was that his future is not. going to be tied to the draft. His. future is not going to be tied to free. agency. This is a player who is at the. peak of his powers. He is in the prime. of his career. He's going to be able to.
dictate when and where if there is. movement in his career, when he wants. that to be. So, my understanding is. giving the Bucks every opportunity in. this off season. We have this this draft. period here. We have free agency period. coming up next week. We have trade. period coming up during all of that. We. have summer league coming up. What can. the Bucks do to elevate this team and. surround Giannis to Dmpo with the. players? He's been there for 12 years. I. think he owes him that. They owe him. that. So I expect that's all that will.
be the focus for the next several weeks. And then after that, after let's say. two, three weeks into July, Giannis. Edmpo will then have to figure out what. is it. Do I feel like this team I'm on. right now? Is this a championship. contender? Because that's what I want. out of my future. That's what I've been. on record of wanting or is it just too. comfortable for him? And and. potentially, you know, loyalty is the. factor and the key that the Bucks are. obviously playing on. But you know, one.
thing I will say about Jiannis and. Dukmpo, Pat, he signed two extensions in. Milwaukee both times. No one knew about. it. I didn't report on it on it until it. was actually signed. So, this is someone. that always keeps things close to the. vest. This is someone that always does. things in quiet. So, I'm sure there are. conversations going on right now that we. don't even know about around Yas Atin. Koopo and his camp. And I guess when. there's going to be something to talk. about or maybe not something to talk. about, we'll be we'll have something. more definitive to talk about. But until. then, uh I think the focus right now is.
what can Milwaukee do to make this team. better. I like the fact you got a. message from somebody saying, "Hey, listen. You don't know anything's going. on. What. one thing I do know what's going on is. Jon Dumpo is open-minded and he has been. since I reported that during draft. combine week. So he is openminded about. exploring uh what's the best fit for. him. Is it in Milwaukee? Is it outside? Come to the Pacers. Can't wait to see. what it is. Process also includes seeing.
what that team does. What does Milwaukee. do? He owes it to them. They owe it to. him. And so. yeah, they have one first round pick. they can play with. They have a few. second round picks they can play with. Let's see what business can get done. Two of these. Go ahead, AJ. Go ahead, AJ. Yeah. Shs. Can we expect uh. fireworks when it comes when the NBA. draft is actually happening? Are we. going to see some crazy movement, especially early in that first round? So, AJ, I was actually just doing some. some research like I think the last time. a massive trade happened on draft night.
itself was when Jimmy Butler got traded. from the Bulls to the Timberwolves. That. happened I believe during the first. round of the draft. Um what was that. 2017 2016? Somewhere somewhere in that. window. So, not it it doesn't happen. typically uh on the day of the draft, but again, the fact that now it's two. days, uh I do think that could change. things. Last year, day two was really. dominated by where Bronnie James was. going to go. Uh this year, we'll see.
what could come up. We we don't know. yet, obviously, but um usually trades of. that magnitude though happen either. before, after, around free agency. But. listen, it's a it's a two two-day draft. We'll see what fireworks could happen. I. wouldn't. We know when that draft is, too. We can't wait to watch it. First. round coming to you live on I'll be on. it. I'll be on it. ESPN debut of uh of. of MUA. When you When's that When's the. debut? That's That's coming up. June. 25th. Uh so on Wednesday night,
Wednesday. for weeks. Brooke will be there with me. Brooke will be there with me. Okay. So, Wednesday night, we got where where uh. Malikica Andrews, Andrea Carter, you. know. Oh, ESPN. Can't wait to watch auditorium. Uh we'll be at Barclays. We'll be at. Barclays. Okay. Yeah. Night two is my favorite. Yeah. Remember day two of the draft when. Yogish got drafted? No, I'm talking. about whenever they had the uh when they.
had the New York Seapport. Do you. remember? Oh, yeah. They were studio. Yeah. They were they they had See, I. don't know what they're doing this year. I don't know what they're doing that. putting them in cargo containers for us. That was all they had like nice table. It was nice table. They were nice. There's only three people with table and. they were allowed. Yeah, that was. awesome. They were in a break room. It's. hard for me to take the NBA draft. serious where it's hard for anybody to. take. There's a cur sitting right behind. players. Well, listen. Your your boy is. going to be on it. So, okay. It's a.
Sean's production. Right. All right. We're going to watch because you said. that the thing that swung the KD uh. trade was a 10th overall pick. I had no. idea 10th overall picks meant anything. They would trade a thousand of those. away if they could. Some teams I'll. trade you 14,000 ones. Okay. For next. year, what number? Who cares? And you. give me two players back. Like that. sounds like the 10th pick is the 10th. pick though. I mean, even even in the. NFL draft, no, the NBA draft, we care.
about these things. You guys don't look. at five second round. All right, we'll. give you 2031, 2037, 2038, 2039, 2045, 2052, and 2061's first round picks. Done. That is an NBA trade right there. Would you you have tweeted that out. right there that I just [ __ ] put out. You guys seemingly don't care about. draft at all. And then you say, well, the number 10 overall pick, that's the one. That's kind of swung the. entire thing. They would drink that.
alongside the 45. Team has their phase. I think teams have their phase. I think. sometimes you're big on the draft. Sometimes you might not be. Sometimes. you're big on getting the bigname. players. And you know what we're seeing, you know, I I will say what Oklahoma. City teams like Orlando, Houston, what. they Indiana, what they've done so well. is they've drafted the right way. They've been able to keep their assets. They've been able to keep flexibility. and that's hard. That's hard in this. league because teams are so well. accustomed to going and running their.
operations in a phase. Let's go into. this phase of big name hunting. Let's go. into this phase of let's just accumulate. all these assets. It's like where's the. where's the in between? Where's the. middle ground? And we've we during these. NBA finals, we did see that though. Okay. Well, pay attention to the draft. then because you're on it and also. because it sounds like it matters to. some teams. Sure. And then to other. teams it does not matter. 12th overall. pick. Somebody said Jaylen. Yeah, Jaylen. Williams. Jaylen Williams 14, I think. Okay. What pick was Tyrese? Tyrese was. an eight, maybe six, eight, somewhere.
Yeah, I thought I thought he was 10, I. believe. And Tyrese kind of fell in the. draft. Tyrese kind of fell in the draft. There were I mean, the Knicks had a. chance to get him. There was se several. teams had a chance to go get Tyrese. Albert. 12th overall pick, Tyrese. Hallebert. Okay, we got it right. Fourth. number. There's only 12 options. available. Well, we're Finanic. We watch. a lot of drafts. Yeah, you're right. They all kind of play together. This is. the fifth one of the year for drafting. as a whole with the W and the MLS. Yeah,
I did watch the MLS draft. That was a. big deal. Lou Messi got drafted yet. again in Miami. I'm sick of it. When's. it going to come to the Columbus crew of. the Pittsburgh Riverhounds? Ladies and. gentlemen, Sean Shawn. Thanks, Sean. He's going to be on the draft Wednesday. night. Yep. Huge. Can't wait. What's that? June 25th. June 25th. Stuff. will happen. hyping that up all week. All last week. It's hard. We're in the. finals, bro. We're in a championship. It's hard to think about tomorrow when. today's taking place and today is our. team winning a title. Okay, now the. future of the league is on Wednesday. I.
remember we talked about it last week. cuz I said, "Geez, trying to steal the. momentum so quick." Okay, got it. It's. not a bad idea actually if you think. about it from a concept wise. People. were chitchatting about the negative. conversation around the Pacers Oklahoma. City Final Series uh on sports media. A. lot of people were talking about how uh. the games weren't being sold well or. being talked about in a proper way. Do. you see a lot of that? I saw. It's. interesting. I wonder if that's. everybody or if it's just the internet. What's that? Was just the internet was.
negative. No, cuz it does feel like. everybody is considered negative these. days. You know, everybody like I think. that is there's a lot of negative. conversation. Those just get tend to get. louder like you know everything whether. it's you know the logo on the court or. even the hats after the finals like oh. these hats are Mickey Mouse like it's. always something really yeah literally I. thought that was the best hat I thought. that was the best hat they've had how. bad the hats are. That's crazy. Well, there's people saying things are bad. that we know. The internet's very. negative. Aren't that bad point pregame.
show? What are you thinking? Um me. personally, yeah, the first thing that. comes to mind is how sweet the [ __ ] the. the yard goats hats are. Yeah, they're. range goats. I understand. But the hats. are filthy. I thought the hats look. good. They actually Yeah. Boom. Those. are nice hat. Little rope hat. A. different style hat than the normal hat. The rope. Yeah, rope hat. They didn't. see the rope. You don't like the rope? I. don't mind the rope, but it's I'd rather. no rope. I just like the the cursive. writing in the small logo. I feel like a.
lot of times I think you could eliminate. the rope. Yeah. for the rope. For sure. We get rid of rope. No doubt. Cuz the. the logo real bad is a style of hat. though. You guys are trying to get rid. of the rope. That is a style of I. appreciate the rope. If I have to choose. no rope. Yeah, but if you're wearing a. golf, people wear the rope at golfing. You put that out there cuz that thing. sits up sideways. You really cuz the. nicest golf hat that I've ever seen is. sitting right next to me and there's no. rope. No rope. I mean, you can't compare. as range goats. M. Well, you can't also. rope in a yard goat. That's a fitted.
No, that is not a fitted. No, not a. fitted. No, it's not. Oh, so it it fits. really good then. It doesn't fit like a. fitted. No, I mean it's perfect. You. know, I will say sometimes uh these ones. with the uh like mesh sides really dig. into your ears big time and it kind of. hurts a little bit, but once again, Bubba had it has it figured out. The. yard goat hat is the most comfortable. I. believe Liv is happening this weekend. They have a scramble happening in. Dallas. Yes, they do. Dallas, Texas. And. I'll tell you what, the yard goats are.
uh they're not doing too good. They're. at the bottom of the leader board. Shut. up. All right, let's talk about other. things that are happening around the. sports world, not just the yard goats. Uh we would like the yard goats to get. good big time. I saw a commercial for. the Indianapolis uh live event. yesterday. August coming up. August. sometime. Yeah, it's going to be so hot. We'll go enjoy golfer. Bingo. Live. Hell yeah. I will go that. package yet? owes us a package. No, he. has not. Oh, you're talking about the. golf balls. Yeah, he said he was going. to send about a thousand balls. Well, Utah also said, remember Utah said uh.
like three days ago they're going to. send them. We'll see who gets here. first. Will it be the goats or the. mammoth? And we we shall see. People are. trying to supply us balls over here, AJ. Everybody's heard that I quit golf and. they're like, "Well, what's the. problem?" It's like, you have a a thing. right in the back to hit. Yeah, but we. don't have enough balls. We'll send you. balls. We'll send you balls. Okay. Those. mammoth balls need those. I'm getting. that lab putter, too. Yeah. Did you get. you got your putter yet? You drained. every single putt. So, in my mind, yes, I'm getting Wait, are you gonna put like. Bryson though? Are you gonna do the. straight arm thing? So, I don't know if.
I'm gonna do completely locked up. I. don't know if I'm gonna do, but I am. gonna I am going to do with a weird claw. grip. You got to do a weird claw grip or. something. I'm going to do this one. The. sort of long one. Not the all the way up. one. The butter sort of long one. And. I'm going to wedge that thing up against. this arm here. Isn't that what Ke does? And then I'm going to turn that thing. open. I'm open. And I'm I'm clap bombing. that thing. Okay. I like that. I like. that. Yeah, I am. And the lab allegedly. will keep that thing straight. What are. you What are you laughing about? That's. I just love it. I' I've heard other.
people tell me like, "Hey, you can't. miss a putt with this thing. It's so. pure. It rolls so nice." I was like, "It. doesn't like you still have to putt the. thing in the right direction." No, somebody's going to need to tell me. where to go. And don't worry about the. speed. The speed will figure itself out. You got to wedge that thing up against. here cuz it doesn't move. That looks so. uncomfortable. Uncomfortable. You're an. athlete. Do you care about being. comfortable, man? You're an athlete. You're an. athlete. Use your hands. You need them. Nick just reminded me. Thank you, Nick. I'm going to have my meta face on, too. And I'm going to be able to read the.
boom. Calculate. left to right. Three cups. No problem. I'mma wedge that son of a [ __ ] right. off my forearm. Just like this. And. I'mma line that thing up like this. And. I'm going straight back cuz the lab. putter doesn't let me do anything else. No, it doesn't. No torque. Straight. back. And then [ __ ] right in. It's a. long putt, man. What are you putting. from the fairway? 64 ft. JJ Spawn. What. do you think this is? I'm winning the US. Open. Seriously, I'm sick of it. I can't. take it anymore. Had one of those. yesterday. Tommy Fleetwood maybe needs. to think about doing one of these. Doing.
one of these. So that on those. sevenfooter, is that what he had? He had. a sevenfooter, I think. Did it hit a. ball mark? Did it hit a spike mark? What. do you think? It did roll. It did bump. right a little bit. Boom. Right there. That thing maybe rims in. Instead, Tommy. Fleetwood is not blessed by the golf. gods. And that thing rolls aside. And. also the guy that's trying to beat you. right now just got a perfect read off of. your putt because he is literally a foot. inside of you. So worst case scenario on. all fronts. Yeah, he came right inside. of him now. Yeah, I saw a foot inside of. him. So it was kind of a Ke and Bradley.
Yeah, easier was going claw grip there. So don't do the claw grip. Apparently. Kee had a 64footer. Yep. Early on in. that round. He's probably using a lab. just like I'm using. I like the new. stance though. The. open. Yeah, I'm ready for the open. stance. Yeah. Yeah. Cuz I want to be. able to see it. I think that's part of. the problem. I get down here and I do. have good periph. I don't want to act. like I do not, but it's hard to really. get a good eye on it. So, this way I can. I can just kind of Yeah, that's.
guaranteed make everything. Some people. put while looking at the hole. Oh, inside 5T. That's Jordan. Jordan. Yeah. Yeah. He stinks now. So, don't don't. steal that. Yeah. But I think inside 5T. you still got it. Pretty good. Yeah. I. like that too though cuz then you can. walk right after it if you know it's. going in. You can walk you can walk it. in. Boom. And it's going to be tough for. me to be able to relate to you guys when. you're struggling because that's what I. have on my face. Okay. Okay. What What. What is it? It's sunglasses. These are. just sunglasses. Now granted, are they a.
little bit smarter in your sunglasses? Maybe. Boom. Read the green, please. These are my sunglasses. Remember, this. is not AI. This is non-fun. These are. just sunglasses. My eyes are very. sensitive to light. I've told you guys. that in the past. My This is how I think. actually. This is how I would normally. see the green anyways. So, it's not. cheating. I'll just drop the ball here. I say it's going to be a long round. Real slow. What? It's going to be a very. long round. Okay. That's what I'm doing. All right. You got it. Then I'm lining.
that thing up like this. And then I'm. I'm a little bit worried that if you. move your head though, you get a new. line. Oh, yeah. Yeah. That's true. You. still got to hit that. You still got to. hit the ball though. It doesn't hit it. for you. You going to look like what are. you talking about? You hit perfect. You. should It's going to take two and a half. hours for each each green you get to. Oh, I'm one putt in every [ __ ] green. and you think that's going to take two. and a half. You're just worried about. your three putts over there. Okay. And. if you want my sunglasses, you can't. have them. How about that? If you shoot. 63, it might be worth taking an hour and. a half on every hole to make sure. No,
but if you want putts, he's cutting out. half the time. That's a good point. Yeah, exactly what I'm saying. Yeah, I. might I might be 15 under. Yeah, there's. a real chance. How many options do you. have on this with these sunglasses? Never ending, brother. It's my. sunglasses. It's the future. Uh I do. worry that the way this ends is not. going to be how I think it is. He's got. you got to sink the putt. Oh my god. There we go. Of course. Let's have a. couple more options pop up on the. screen. Well, you never know. You got to. make the putt. You got to make the putt. And remember, these are just sunglasses.
All right. No, he's just showing all the options. Yeah. Welcome to the game. Be nice if. you can order a hot dog here though, too. I think you can. Top left card. And. then you still leave a 15footer 6 ft. short. Yeah, that'd be fun. Oh, that's. sick. It tells you how far back to go. Okay, here we go. Yeah, this is cool. I. didn't know it had this. This is where. I'm This would just build a robot to. make every putt for us. Well, I just. touched the ball, too. I need not do. that. That's one. All right, this is. going in. No problem. Oh, his putter's a.
little He also for the good of. everybody, pal. I need you to make this. Who is this guy? Please smoke it. Scotty. Chef 8 ft down. We need this to go in. We want this. He's got a little weird. claw grip. Claw grip to Why is everybody. not want to He's already outside of it. Wait a minute. Wait. Did you Did you guys think he made it? That was a great putt. What are you. talking about? It's a great roll. That's. a good two putt, though. A good two. putt. Anyways, and if you keep talking.
like that on the green when I'm out. there with my sunglasses, wait until you. see what I do with that 2in putt. I'm. gonna get all the measurements. I'm. gonna get all the measurements for that. two-inch putt. I can't wait. I I'm gonna. beat the game. I'm gonna be all the way. back. Uh let's talk about some other. sports that are taking place. There was. a sports fest that happened with. Fanatics over there in New York City. Every human on earth was there. That's. what I saw from outside looking in. And. uh there were some events that certainly. captivated folks. The WWE entrances were. a big hit. It appeared. WWE entrances. were a big Megan Morant, Sam Roberts, Kathy Kelly judging people's entrances.
I think they were stern but fair is what. everybody said about their judging. And. uh saw a lot of people do a lot of. things out there. Then uh you know it. came to the sports. There's basketball. Mhm. Saw Tom Brady put up some shots. Saw DJ Kard put up some shots. Good. shot. Saw Cody Rhodess, John Cena put up. some wet jumper. Oh yeah. Killed it into. the washer and dryer. Old school. classic. Love that. Little couple snap. shots there. And then it came time to. throw baseball. And this has really. become the great equalizer for the. athletes of the world. Uh let me see if.
you can catch and throw a ball. And then. we'll do the whole athlete conversation. That's what ball sport people say. That. is what ball sport people say. Anytime. somebody says this, best athlete on. earth is the best athlete on earth. We. agree great athlete. Can you can you. throw and catch or is that not possible? So then normally opening pitches become. like a little bit of a okay. It's an. athlete. Never played a sport before in. her life. We might have something that has. debunked all that. Yeah. And I am a. little bit worried that we can no longer. just judge people outright off of their. opening pitches. What? Joe Burrow was.
throwing a baseball. It looks like this. guy's never thrown anything in his life. before. That MLB sign on the left needs. a look out now. First of all, the camera. person needs to back up. Let me throw a. little bit. Hi, I think hits the wall. Okay. He's throwing it like a football. He, you know, he got a much bigger wind. up in baseball. Oh, that's two. Okay, that's two. He's throwing real He had to. pitch. He had to pitch growing up. I. said the same thing. So, we looked it. up. I don't think he played high school. baseball. Now, that one looks a little. bit closer. He's just dialing it in. Obviously, he's aiming for the thing. right there and straight in front of. him. He's to the left every time. Joe,
aim right, Joe. Just one time, Joe. Aim. right. He keeps going left. Same miss. Same miss. Same miss. Somebody needs to. tell him, "Hey, Joe." Boom. Aim a little. bit more right, pal. Because his. football throwing motion is obviously. carrying the baseball to the left. Now, we seen Paul Skins throw a football at. big night up. Mhm. And it was the same. thing. He was throwing it like it was a. baseball and that thing was turning to. the left. I think it's a grip release. thing between baseballs and footballs. And obviously the size is vastly. different. Paul skins would have broke.
that thing. Okay. He was throwing gas. I. think uh Joey Burrow obviously would. inevitably end up hitting the target, but he's too good. Nobody like he. couldn't find himself just playing the. the pool. You know, some people think. they'll be able to figure it out. Like, no, I'll be able to throw it straight. I'll be able to throw it straight. What. he needed to do here is you were [ __ ]. aiming for a fairway on the right. Yeah. You were aiming right and you were. throwing that thing right back in real. time. Uh, but a lot of people are very. flustered by the fact that Joey B pulled. some there. I I I still don't understand.
it like how like regards professional. quarterback, I don't care what sport you. play or didn't play. I don't understand. how you continue. Okay, back up. Back. up. Obviously, he's got that nice tight. football release though. That's his. problem. Why doesn't he change it. though? That's like the athlete thing. Yeah. Yeah, of course. After the first. one. All right, let's let's get I. thought it might be messing with some. people though, honestly. So, I don't. think so because he's taking it pretty. serious if he's telling people like, "Hey, back up. back up. I'm trying to. throw this baseball. I think he didn't I. think he didn't want to hurt his hand. Keep going a little bit more if we can.
His hand. Yeah. So, at the top it's like. at the very top as it's exiting it's. like clearly like uh you know like a. football ank wrist flip like he's even. doing one of those. I think that's why. it's all coming down to the left. personally. Yeah. If he did that like. twice, hey, that's going to happen. You. can't be doing it six straight times and. and maybe I don't want to change my. release, you know, blah blah blah. We. look like an idiot. And you're also No, he doesn't. Respectfully, respectfully, bad look for just the NFL as a whole.
because of this. I'm sure. And it's not. just him. You know, Taylor Lean also. just threw a terrible first pitch. Like. all of a sudden, I'm thinking of NFL. players love throwing baseballs. Jordan. Love all Hold on. Why can't NFL guys. throw baseball? Too strong. Too The. ball's too small. I still think there is. a chance that uh Ruben gimmicked all. those baseballs cuz he everyone saw how. he threw and he was like I can't have. these guys coming in and just put, you. know, paint in the center. I'm going to. screw a hole in one of these balls or. something like that and I'm going to,
you know, make these guys have for a. pitch like I had. I appreciate the fact. that that could be happening and I. appreciate the fact that Joe Burrow goes. out there in front of everybody and does. that. Okay. I do appreciate that. I also. like the fact that he said, "Give me. back to football." Yeah. Okay. Give me. back to a football. We have a season to. be had. I was worried about asking Paul. to throw that football for a big night. out. Sure. I was like, "Hey, I don't. know what your procedure is, your. routine is. It's heavier. It's bigger. I. don't want to be the one that hurts. anything." He was like, "I'll throw it. I don't care." I'm like, "Yeah, but I. don't want to." Goes, "I I got it." And.
he f that second one. Yeah. He's firing. that thing. Firing that thing. I mean, it was so And then he goes, "Yep. All. right. See you later." Then inevitably. Sydney Crosby would make it. Ben. Rothosberger made it. So, uh, gave $2. million away at the end of the night. instead of $3 million away at the end of. the night. Paul SK's absolute gentleman. sends me a text and says, "Hey, I. realized that I saved you a million. dollars, so I will sleep well at night. because I missed." And I said, "Hey, very kind of you to think that way." If. it would have went in, though, would. have went to a great family wearing. Philadelphia Eagles jerseys in. Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. That's right. Paul SK, great pitcher. You know who.
else might be? Who? A pitcher on the. rise. Who's that? Shi Otani. Oh, this. weekend. Let's talk about Shi getting. back on the mound. Ty Schmidt. Yeah. I. mean, he looked good. you know, he's. still in the, we talked about this with. Jet, he doesn't have the luxury of going. down to the minors and doing like a. couple uh like spot starts down there to. kind of get ready. So, they just got to. throw him into game action. Uh but his. first start little rough, you know, as. to be expected, kind of battling control. a little bit. And then it's him and Clip.
Stain, brother. Exactly. Yesterday. against the Nationals, he gets in there, he's touching 100 miles an hour. He. strikes out two guys and then not only. does he strike out two guys and his day. is done. So you'll just see I mean. that's a filthy filthy little split. finger there. That's Joe Burrow right. there. Um that's what Joe was throwing. Yeah, exactly. Show he's trying that. So. that's the that's the difference. Uh so. show looks great on the bump. There you. go. I'll have another sit down, please. Two strikeouts. Yeah, two strikeouts. How many total outs in his uh time.
playing? Uh he he pitched one inning, so. he got three outs. So twothirds of the. outs recorded were strikeouts. Okay. And. then and then at the dish, uh, you know, this is just show being show. He's going. to I mean, just so effortless. Just so. effortless. Just poke it out. Oppo. Um, and I don't I think this was the one. that maybe it was the triple. Yeah. Fin. interference. So, yeah, this was the. home run. Uh, and then he also had a. triple, a bases clearing triple. Uh, later in this game, he had five RBI's. So, you know, he he's not going to get.
the win or anything like that. But if. you're a Dodgers fan and you see what. Show is doing on the bump, you're like, "Okay, here we go." Like, you know, when. you think this team couldn't get any. better, if they get a Show Otani who's. close to 100% pitching as well, boy, it. might be tough to beat the Dodgers in a. seven game series. Now, I hear uh that. there is potential baseball people that. are like, "Why are we wasting any time. on this bump? Why are we wasting any. time? Two strikeouts, three outs in. total. What do we Is he going to become. a dominant pitcher for the Dodgers or I.
mean he is when he's like you know. healthy he is a a very dominant pitcher. and I don't know I mean you hear Jet say. like show wants to do this so like it's. going to happen no matter what that kind. of ends the conversation but just for me. the Dodgers have 15 guys like 15. pitchers on the disabled list right now. so like they they can't afford to to to. lose show they just And it's just you. look at what he does at the plate like. he is a monster. So it's it's kind of.
one of those things where it's like is. it even worth him potentially getting. hurt? Not even talking Tommy John, but. like if he does something and you know. does something to his finger and he has. to miss two weeks or whatever. It's just. I don't know if you want to throw off. his the the the routine and like how. much of a zone he's in right now at the. plate. Okay. So at the plate he's a. monster. Is he like big dumper or no? Nobody. Tell me about big this guy. Who. is big dumper? Yeah, Cal Cal Raleigh. Uh.
catcher for the Mariners. Switch hitter. I mean, and you just, you know, the. looks like Yeah. Let's go. He's a dog. He's an absolute dog. But yeah, I mean, fastest to 30 homers in a season since. Barry Bonds. Um obviously, and and that. was the year Barry Bonds, you know, set. the home run record. I mean, it it's one. of those things where he he has. unbelievable power, but he's got a big. dumper. He's got a big dumper. One of. his teammates started calling him big. dumper in 2020. I saw his mom isn't a. huge fan of the nickname, but she does.
love that the fans support him. But. yeah, uh big big dumper. Like this is. just day in day out now, you know, like. it's you you look at a boxer. He's a big. thumper with a big dumper. He probably. takes some big dumpers. I would assume. he does. Yes, he does. We watch it. He. he goes uh left-handed and right-handed, right? Switch hitter. Yep. And he just. he just clobbers the baseball. And. catchers aren't normally the best. hitters on the team. Okay. So, he's in. the middle of an at bat. Yeah. Okay. He's batting righty.
Pitcher gets pulled middle of at bat. Does that happen? Uh sometimes. Okay. So, he's batting righty. New pitcher. comes in. What What would uh the. pitching team want to go against a. righty? They'd want a lefty against a. righty or a righty against a righty? Uh. it it kind of just depends, but yeah, typically you want opposite on whatever. uh like the person's going if you're the. pitcher. Yeah. Like so if if you have a. lefty at the plate, a lot of times they. will throw righties, but like me. personally, I always thought like it it. was weird facing a left-handed pitcher. cuz everything feels like it's like. inside it. It all kind of I mean.
matchups matter, but it kind of just. comes down like can he switch sides of. the the plate in the middle of an atbat? Yeah. So if let's say he's he's batting. left I need two strikes on the right. side. I'm not doing it anymore. Don't. over the other side. Yeah. If they if. they pulled Yeah. Yeah. Exactly. There. is a clip of of that guy some guy in. Japan who like every pitch is going from. the right side to the left side to the. right side. Yeah. How come Big Thumper's. not doing that? He's kind of sorry mom. Big Thumper not doing that. He's getting. locked in on one side of the plate then.
hitting bombs. Is the best matchup or is. it just how he's feeling? Is he trying. to keep it equal on either side? Like I. have so many questions. Why doesn't. everybody do this? It's very difficult. Yeah, very very difficult. Especially. when you get to the like I I I think. there are a lot of guys who at like a. younger age um like maybe even in in. college like they'll their whoever you. know their dad or coach or whatever like. guys will switch hit but then you get to. the like it's very very evident. Um, like sometimes like guys like, okay, they'll say he's a switch hitter, but. then it's like this guy's hitting 165.
from the left side of the plate and he's. hitting 320 from the right side of the. plate. Well, look, if you look at him in. all of these, like if it's a lefty, he. is batting from the right hand side. If. it's a righty, he's batting on the left. hand side because he's I assume he's. like I want like you don't when the. breaking stuff is breaking away from. you, it's it's kind of a pain in the. ass. So, I assume he hates that. So he. goes opposite of what the throw. Oh, he. wants the break to come towards him. Yes. Yeah. Is this normal? Like back in. the day or not even back in the day. If.
this was 2005, the assumption is, you. know, cow rally big thumpers on. steroids. Like has he always been this. good and this is just his best year. ever? Yeah, I think he's got like. ridiculous power and now he's just kind. of starting to put it together and this. will be the kind of I mean like we from. both sides. Ty usually one side. Which. one is he more dominant? like power-wise. that I don't know cuz again the Mariners. are way up there. They play a lot of. late games. So like I'll see mostly I. haven't looked at like his splits from. both sides of the plate. But I mean you. already it's we're not even in July yet.
and he's already got what 32 homers like. so he's he's doing pretty good from both. sides of the plate. I think there is a. strategy he should be using uh Japanese. high schooler uh every single pitch. Yes. That stamps it's going to be tough. to get a strike. Yep. That's okay. In. Japan, if you do that in the USA, uh a. uh the pitcher is throwing that directly. at your head. He's on base. Yeah, he is. on base. You're right. You're right. I. mean, that's Oh, he's going to think. about bunting on the left side. Oh, wait. a minute. You know what? I think I got a. better look at him on his side. Now he's.
standing. No, he's back down. Now he's. up. He's skipping. Passing. Oh, what are. you going to call? Wait, wait, two in. the back. He about to do all this and get struck. out. No, he's not. He's hitting a bomb. for sure. Fake bunt. Oh, that's No way. He's got a strike. Two two. Two. He. needs a foul one off at least. He needs. to work this a little bit. Swing. Oh, he. got hit by. some s. Congratulations to this guy. Big.
Thumper needs to think about it. Say, "Why didn't I do that in my game? How. come that he said this is. the worst thing I've ever seen on a. baseball field?" Worst. What are you. talking about? He got on base. He got he got lucky. He got lucky. Dancing in the battle. Are you allowed. to dance in there? Yeah. I mean, you can. do but again, you know, if you strike. out, then you look like the biggest. jackass on the face of the earth. So So. you're allowed to sit in there and do a. form. You can do whatever [ __ ] you. want in there. Yeah. Yeah.
Going to the other side. Big Thumper. needs to think about it. He's good. He's. very good. Shout out to baseball. Uh. shout out to soccer. It happened this. weekend. Mhm. We did it. Yeah, we finally did it. USA. We won. We. won it all. We won the big tournament. We won it. We did it. We got guys. scoring goals. USA. USA. USA. Soccer. USA winning games. Okay. We played. Haiti. Big time win. We got a couple. guys on the team scoring a lot of goals.
A lot of that guy bang. I think he uh. getting his first real action for Team. USA heading into the World Cup. Getting. an opportunity maybe because other guys. aren't on the roster. Maybe coach Ponch. is looking to find some more guys. You. know, I think uh I think a lot of people. think that there isn't a lot of uh good. soccer players in America, okay? Because. every time we get a team, we go out. there seemingly underperform, underwhelm. I think there's just a lot. of guys and we don't get the right guys. I think there's a a question on whether. or not we're getting the right guys. So, I think Ponch, he's trying to get his.
right group of guys and we're winning. games. Now, granted, we can only play. against who we can play against. Okay? Trinidad, Tobago, Saudi Arabia, Haiti. You can only play against who you can. play. That's right. Okay, that is it. But it feels like team USA might be. finding something. Gumpy and we still. have some time before the World Cup to. get polistic and the boys in there and. really are they Oh yeah, we're Are we. winning the World Cup? Gumpy. Is there a. chance? They are playing well right now. Malik Tilman plays for PSV. Buyer levers. in one of the biggest teams in Germany. just put in a bid for him cuz he's.
playing so well at this tournament. They. play Costa Rica Sunday in Minnesota, the. quarterfinals of the Gold. This is who. you were talking about here. What's his. name? Malik Tilman. He scored three in. this tournament. He's played. unbelievable. And we got another guy. Five goals, nine games. Who is it? Uh. Patrick Aza. He plays for Charlotte, I. believe. He That's the most goals in. first nine games since Josie Altador. Yeah, player. We got some real players. Charlotte. Uh what league are they in? Owns the team. Remember they fired five. coaches in the first three years. Oh, MLS. Charlotte. Yeah, Lou Messi plays in.
MLS, too. Charlotte Friends. Okay. Yeah. All right. Know the boys are rolling. You know what? You know what? Team USA. isn't playing well. I I don't want to. talk about that. I would like to take us. back in time whenever flag football was. becoming a topic of conversation in the. actual football world, real uh tackle. football world. And flag football is. having a great great great push as a. father of a 2-year-old daughter named. McKenzie, who I think is going to be. great at being elusive with the flags.
And it looks like she's going to be able. to throw good. flag football will be a. great sport for her to play. I'm happy. there is a development, but there's a. conversation at like uh the highest of. levels on who should represent United. States. Is it the flag footballers that. do flag football all day every day or is. it the greatest in the world at. football? That's a conversation. Flag. football, different sport than tackle. football, although they're playing. football at the end of the day. Here's. uh quarterback of the US flag football. team, Mr. do set just uh like a year and.
a half ago. I believe at the end of the. day, I feel like I'm better than Patrick. Mahomes because of my IQ of the game. I. know he's right now the best in the. league. I know he's more accurate. I. know he has all these intangibles, but. when it comes to flag football, I feel. like I know more than him. Okay. And I. can respect that cuz there are different. rules. With that being said, we can't be. losing to Canada. Okay. Canada doesn't even play football. It's. a strong squad. It is not the Canada one.
is. It is not. That is the problem that. I'm having here. Now, I learned this uh. from Football Canada's official senior. men's uh senior masculine. Obviously, guys speak French in there because it is. can 2521. They go on to play Japan, I. think, in the next couple days. Super. duper international bowl. Uh this is. flag football here. It's embarrassing. Can't happen. Joke. Who? Who's play? Who. Who was on the team? Who's responsible? Yeah. Who was on our team? We haven't. been able to get all the details. I just. saw a disc posted. Uh I don't I don't.
know if Ducet was playing in that on the. roster. He is on the website whenever we. checked it who was playing. He is on the. roster and maybe Canada just has a team. Well, maybe also we should think about. Lamar Jackson playing on this team. There you go. Uh Kyler Murray playing on. Sure. You know, uh even even let our. college guys play on this team. Like if. you want to make it all college kids. Yes. Okay, there we go. Anything. We. can't be losing in flag football at the. Olympics in the United States of. America. That cannot happen. Just like.
I'm not just like what? I'm getting. worried. Do it. I'm not getting I'd. actually take it a step further and I'd. say we we should we should win every. game by at least a hundred. Yep. Did you. see DO? Yeah. Send a message. He's playing. right. He needs to just do a little. enderoundsky. Yep. One of those things. Exactly. They have a two quarterback. option thing in flag football. I watched. these high school girls do it Pro Bowl. weekend. Unstoppable seemingly great. play design. And you get Tyreek out.
there in motion. I don't think we're. losing to Canada ever again. No. Okay. Might lose to him in hockey. Yeah. Right. Have you seen our roster, Gump? Have you seen our roster? Stack. I have. The US or the Canadians? The US. Yeah. It'll be pretty much the same teams as. foreign nations. And with a little more. sauce. Yeah, a little more sauce for the. Canadians as well. It'll be I mean both. teams will be better for the Olympics. That's how it should be. Tom Wilson. playing for Canada. Yeah, he'll be out. there. How many do you guys even have. enough to field a flag football team? I. I mean, how it looks like it. I mean, I. wasn't sure, but here we are. They got a.
lot of lacrosse. That's probably good. flag football, right? Lacrosse guys. Kid. Canada is probably on Kid Canada is. definitely the quarterback. And we got guys thinking they're the. best things to ever play football. That's a joke. I'm not saying I should. be on the team. Why not? Good. A kicker and punter, right? What's on the Heisman house? Can. we just put all the Heisman house people. in it? Bingo. Just one. Dez, Reggie, T-Bo, Bo, Bob, Cam, head ball coach. All.
of them. Put them all. Coach Sabin. Have. him coach. Sure. Johnny. I don't like. this loser in Canada. Arch. Okay. Eddie. George. Put Arch. He's in good shape. Everybody out there. Sure. That's what. we should have done at Super Duper. International Bowl. How you start is not. how you finish at the International. Bowl. The United States of America is. ready to get back just like soccer in. the Gold Cup or whatever cup we're in. Um Canelo and Terence Crawford uh got. into a little bit of a shoving match. Had a starown over the weekend in Saudi.
Arabia getting ready for their massive. fight September 13th on Netflix. Fight. of a de century fight uh fight of a. generation greatest fight of all time. You name all these all these things can. be titled for this. Dana White obviously. his first venture into the boxing space. since being a boxing trainer before he. ended up taking over the UFC. Obviously. TKO alongside Turkey and the Crowned. Prince putting this all together. Knockout bonuses on the line. I think. this is going to be a spectacle. Uh and.
I can't wait to watch in Allegiance. Stadium. I believe more stuff on Netflix. is just so clutch. I I don't have to. worry about when this is happening cuz I. know I won't have to try and find it. It's just going to be right there on. Netflix. Thank god. And before we get. out of here, um, an American legend has. passed away. CEO and founder of FedEx, Fred Smith, father of Arthur Smith, current offensive coordinator for the. Pittsburgh Steelers, has passed away. If. you don't know this man's American dream. story, from Marine to obviously Fortune.
100 company CEO. At one point, he. actually went to Vegas, played. blackjack, made enough money to save. FedEx and launch it into the place that. it is today. So, rest in peace, Fred. You done good, pal. Thank you. You done. good. American Dream Story as we. continue digitally on YouTube, ESPN. Plus, Disney Plus, and Tik Tok Live. We. can't thank you enough for allowing us. to do this for a living. Congrats to. Oklahoma City, right, AJ? Absolutely. Congrats. That was welld deserved win. We can't wait to watch your parade. I. assume it's going to be insane. Uh we'll.
be back tomorrow. Be a friend. Tell a. friend something nice. It might change. their life. We'll see you tomorrow. All. right. I feel like I really nailed it. Had to get Fred Smith on it. Yeah, of. course. Truly, they did it uh on the. Traveler Championship cuz FedEx, they. did like a whole little uh like tribute. talk about Fred Smith. Well, in the fact. I think he was uh I think he was in the. background maybe FedEx. Uh that was. brother. Yeah. What was his name? What. was his name? Oh, anyways, whole family. American Dream stuff like legit. And.
former Marine. Hell yeah. Love that. Dick Smith. Look. how big think this dude started it. Yeah. And at one point had to go to. Vegas and like Yeah. because I think. there was a shipment or something. Couldn't afford couldn't get done. If it. didn't the flights Yeah. I think it was. planes. Company goes bankrupt if not. able to get this done. Add a place where. we have this amount of money. Need this. amount of money. If we don't get this, it's all gone. Let's go to Vegas. To the. table. Hit that thing. Bang. We got a.
company now. That's like a That's what I. mean. That takes so much courage. America. That is America, man. Let's. going for it. And uh rest in peace to. him. And obviously well wishes to his. entire family. We've got to meet a. couple. dogs. Dogs. Dogs across the board. All. right, let's get to a break. On the. other side, we'll wrap up everything. else that happened in the sports world. And we also congratulate the Oklahoma. City Thunder again. Sure. Big Park was. on today. That was good. Carl. Yeah, Ravi was good today. Great.
Ravi was great. I loved having watching. Ravi. And uh we also have some breaking. news. AJ. tomorrow on the program it'll be a. Tuesday and Aaron Rogers. Wow. First time Aaron joins us at the. Pittsburgh Steeler tomorrow. Wow. Can't. wait to catch up. Lot has happened since. the last time we talked to Aaron. Yeah. And now he calls the city of Steelers.
home. Mhm. Oh, mama. be on my line from the long arm of the. law. Boom. What are we going to talk. about tomorrow with him? AJ, I don't. know. I hope he wears his new jersey. like this though for the, you know, when. he comes on the show. Me, too. I don't. like the You know what? You guys have. been a little loose with your questions. in the past. Let's keep it football. related. All right. Okay. Keep talking. Get to a break. Friend, tell a friend. something nice that might change their.
life. Take fire. [Music]. They can run it. Make it spinning. They. can kick it. This guy's team is playing. football on a level nobody else in the. country is playing right now. [Applause].
[Music]. That's so stupid. That's crazy. That also take us off the bucket. We do. not deserve this. They all commit and. love what's going on in that weight. room. They all commit and love what Jim. Harbaugh is preaching. And everybody in. the building's happy. Everybody's like. excited to be there. First row pressure. the first row. Second row is like here.
It is infectious that they got going on. And how many owners are spending 300. million on a new facility just for. practice facility. This is the birdies. Wow. Oh [ __ ]. in the bunker. But then for them to do it upright for. the last couple, it's like, look out for. the Chargers, dude. Look out for the. Chargers. Coach,
I got a gift for you. Where you at? Okay. So, miss your birthday. We Oh, look at that. Your perspective on high. fives is one of the greatest things. you've ever seen. All time great. invention. I love the high five. Yeah. Give each other a high five. Boom. Oh my god. Wow. Boom. [ __ ] We. wanted to make basically something that.
you could have my dad made. Oh wow. Feeling boom. Boom. Boom. Wow. And that's the thing. I. think we can get a pretty good pause for. me. Yeah. That is incredible. Obviously, national. champion Michigan man. Greatest high. five. Yeah. Because of what you brought. before the high five win. [Applause]. [Music].
Oh yeah. He tried to give a handshake to that. particular high five trophy. Did break. the hand off. We had to put it back on. Yeah. There you go. Handshake. Oh no. Oh. no. There we go. We have so much respect. You guys just. rolled deep. This is This would be. entourage level. We're not to be honest. We didn't know we were going to be able.
to get 11 people in here and then you. have 11. That's why she. always starts. I mean, wow. It looks like a lot of. highlights against one particular team. They played more than one game, right? For one game. Imposing our will. This. sucks. Party in the back field. No one. No one out. This might be close. I love.
that Chargers Dean even more now. If you were to touch this grass, it. would feel as if the history of football. was kind of one with your soul, one with. your body. And then you look at the. views, the sand, Gabriel Gabriel. mountains with the cotton candy clouds, the way the sun will rise and then the. sun will set and as the sun is setting. at night, there's going to be a football. game taking place. You're talking about. movie stuff. What do you think it is. about your team in that locker room? And. why do you think you guys have been able. to show up every week? You know, I think. the buyin uh on our team is. unbelievable. We talk about a player.
team. I think a lot of people say that, but so rarely do you actually see it. Two Goliath Big 10 teams. What a magical. matchup here in the Rose Bowl. And. watching Ohio State do what they did to. Tennessee. It felt good for a North. It. did. It felt good for the gold. My god, look at those mountains. Look at those. mountains. San Gabriel Mountains. There's the field. The San Gabriel. San. Gabriel. I believe that means the. Gabriel. all parties and all agree that it's in. the best interest of everybody in public.
safety uh that we postpone the game uh. for 24 hours. [Music]. working for the. [Music]. Hello beautiful people and welcome to. beautiful Pasadena, California, the. granddaddy of them all, the 111th. Rose. which will be taking place on the most. beautiful field in the history of. football, the Oregon Ducks, who are the.
Big 10 champs, will take on the Ohio. State Buckeyes. The College Football Playoff is. obviously in the middle of a transition. era, but we go back in time into a movie. like setting to battle in the Big 10 to. see who gets to move on and who goes. home. Our UFOs just flew over top. These. two smoke. and in the national anthem and on a day.
in the United States of America where a. heinous act has happened. It's a nice. reminder that we'll get your ass. You. might take a shot but you're never going. to win a 10 for Howard. Set that play. action. Drops it off to Jeremiah Smith. with space. He is a monster. fire. First touch is a touchdown. time shot. Oh, touchdown. See the split safety is right here. So.
Will Howard knows his room. Looks all. steps up in the pocket. Great throw. Takes a shot and what happens? Jerem. comes up with the ball. Hand off to the. left. Jordan. Howard tied. Oh no. Jeremiah Smith's. wide ass open. Ohio State is kicking the living shite. out of the Oregon Ducks. If Jeremiah. Smith is on your team, I think you can.
win every game. Tion Henderson. He's at the 30, the 20, the 10. Touchd. They can run it. They can spin it. They. can kick it. This Buckeye's team is. playing football at a level nobody else. in the country is playing right now. Yeah, there's a little snap left the. right Jerem. So that's another first down. Thus far, this game has been absolutely.
shining. Oh my god. Oh wow. Wow. Wow. Oh, that is so beautiful. You got Matt Hardy. on the left there. Hey, Chance. I see the 47. Unfortunately, my youngest son uh puked. all over himself, went to the hospital, so my whole family's not here anymore to. hear that. But I'm getting some updates.
every once in a while. He seems to be. doing not much better. He puked over the whole section. Jeez. Instant urgent care. Instant hospital. Oh no. What type of shite was he eating? Is someone making salmon down here? We. came down here and smelled like fish. Look at this. For those that have never. been here, I would recommend coming and. checking it out. Although this. particular game was absolute. shoo.
Why is football the greatest sport on. earth? And do you think football is the. greatest sport on earth? And why do you. like football? That's a really deep question there, Pat. I know. I think I'd get a good. answer out of you, though. Like, I I. think you'd be able to talk about it in. a way that I think a lot of people. haven't because you've been at the. pinnacle of it for so damn long and. inside of it, and your brain is a pretty. fantastic one. We've learned here over. the last few weeks, obviously, last few. weeks, that's it. That's all the time.
we've learned that. I think it's the greatest sport in the. world for one main reason. It is a true. team sport where it is damn near. impossible for one person to dominate an. entire game. If you look at other team. sports, uh, basketball with five guys on. the court, I think you've seen multiple. players over the years. Maybe one player. or maybe one or two players on a squad. be able to dominate and win. championships. Baseball, you can have a. dominant pitcher uh and win.
championships. Soccer, you can have a. dominant forward and or goalie. that. seems to be a little bit more of a team. sport, but you don't have 11 players. engaged at the same time on every play. It is truly uh. a sport relying on. every player on the field to do their. job in order to be successful. And I. think that's why at times, you know, certain star players can get uh maybe. too much credit and and maybe too much. blame on the flip side because it does.
take so many players at the same time in. three phases to win football games. Uh, and I think that's the beauty and the. draw of our sport is that something new. happens all the time because you are. literally dealing with 11 humans on the. field at one time who all have lives. outside of football and there's. distractions. There's a reliance on on. coaching, there's a reliance on. preparation, there's a reliance on diet. and performance. Um, I just think. there's so many facets to it that you.
see something new every single week. And. I think that's the beauty in our game. uh when it comes to the love that I have. for it, it's rooted and I think like any. uh any player who's played for a long. time, the the love is not just about our. sport, it's about competition. And I think there's nothing in the world. for me that fills that need and that. hole I have like competition. I think. we, you know, if players played for a.
long time at a high level, you have that. uh need to be satiated. uh competitively and and it's a love of. going out there and going against guys. and being an environment where you know. that uh nothing is guaranteed. And. that's why at times I've taken uh. umbrage to people saying it's easy. because it's not easy. It's never easy. And I think that's the beauty in our. game is that you see things new every.
single week. It's never easy. And your. only thing you're guaranteed is is the. ability to compete. Uh. I love that aspect of I love competing. I love going out there and harnessing. the fear of failure where I think so. many people who maybe don't love. football as much. The root of that is is. a deep fear of failure that you might go. out there and your best might not be. good enough and that's not okay with. you. [Music].
[Applause]. [Music]. Thank. [Applause]. you. Thanks. Thank. [Applause]. [Music].
you. time. [Applause]. [Music]. Thank you. Thank you. [Music].
[Music]. Thank. you. Thank you. Thank. [Music]. Hey, what? Let's go.
show stinks and the fact that you listen. we are very very thankful. McAfee off. the line with a gorgeous assist. The. alltime leading tackler for the Green. Bay Packers you. damn it. Your friend tell a friend. something nice could change their life. [Applause]. [Music]. sport. Hello beautiful people and welcome back. to our humble the boat the thunderdome. on this championship of reaction Monday. June 23rd 2025 hour three of the program.
starts right now. sports are the greatest that's AJ Hall. [Applause]. talks here at Boston Corner at Tai. Schmidt Ty that hat is the most. startling but certainly one you're most. proud of it feels like. Hell yeah. Shout. out to the yard goats my boys. We're. we're about to put one together here and. and they're going to you're going to see. them climbing the Liv leaderboard. Yeah. Sources uh close to the yard goats have. said Bubba's thinking about having one. here. Really? Yeah. This weekend.
Starting this weekend in Dallas or. wherever the hell it's at. Texas. Dallas. It's in Dallas. Dallas. Yeah. Yep. I do. I do. Confident. Yeah. Exactly. Be a confident goat. Well, I. I've been watching so much yard goats. lately. I feel like I've been traveling. with the boys and they're everywhere. So, it's Yeah. Sometimes you don't know. what city you're in. Exactly. Yeah. One. half of the hammer. Cowboys AP. Tone is. here. Tone, how' the Gumblers do last. night? The Gamblers, you know, if you're. an OKC fan, you did well with on OKC the. entire I'd say. What? Well, is there was.
there a percentage of who was on what? Do we know who was uh heavily bet last. night? It was about 50/50 to be honest. with you. Really? Yeah. Throughout the. entirety of the series? Uh early in the. series, it was on OKC. And then like. once once you're the Pacers and you. start winning games as dogs, it came. more that way. Last time I looked at it. was on Saturday and it was like 54% on. OKC. So I mean it's basically 5050. I. think the Fanatics uh sports books. refunded anybody that had Tyrese. Hallebertton in the parlay or any of. their prop bets. I think DraftKings did. as well did it too. Uh Foxy said he saw.
FanDuel did it as well. You as Gumbler, there has been some refunds that people. that actually gamble uh despise. Now. granted, getting money back from a. sports book not a bad thing for anybody. were pulling free to always get money. from a sports book, but there were some. decisions that were made that were like. counter to actually gambling. Like a uh. a once in a-lifetime anomaly of a play. happens, whether it's the annexation of. Puerto Rico and somebody throws it out. of the back of the end zone on a kickoff. and now it's a safety, it's two points, it swings one thing or the other. They. were they were giving like uh refunds.
Some people were giving refunds to that. And a lot of gamblers were like, "Ah, like that's like cuz there's people that. won because of that, too." Like that's. part of the game. The injury one though. doesn't feel like you're as against. I. was always someone who once you put that. money in on the bet uh if it doesn't. hit, you know, you know the risk you're. taking when you put the money down. Um. last night I was okay with them. refunding uh for that injury and I think. I said it earlier was the first time I I. watched an athlete get injury and I. injured and I actually cared about that. athlete and actually like it affected me.
uh emotionally. So first time ever. Yeah. What an [ __ ] So bad. Wow. I. remember Neil O'Donnell had something. Yeah, he did that. He had a Cordell had. to have something throughout your life. That song Cydney Crosby had that uh. concussion they called it or whatever, but it was a spinal concussion. Like the. NHL was wording it as a a concussion. I. believe it was a spinal concussion. Devastating for the city. Jason Kendall.
had a gristly ankle injury. Yeah. And. his pop time slowed down. He never was. able to bounce back from that. I didn't. know any of those guys. I I we not to. mention Cody Rhodess. We've known we've. met Tyresin when he had that torn pack. Sorry for caring about Tyrese. Sorry. No, I appreciate that. It's just that. we've learned that you care about nobody. else, but we do care about Tyrese. I was. bummed out too, man. Yeah. Like very. bummed out. Like I I I tweeted that I'm. sick. It was like I think that is kind. of how I felt. I've never felt that way.
before either. Yeah. But to your to your. point, I've never actually experienced. that. There was a West Virginia run. where I think Deshawn Butler got hurt. Yeah. I think Deshawn had like an. Achilles or an ACL or something and. Huggin goes out on the court and it was. like that West Virginia team had a. chance. Certainly felt it there, experienced it there. It was like that. one with the way he reacted too. It was. like he knew. I was so bummed out for. him. Saying no like I imagine his whole. life game seven NBA finals three or four. from three to start. It's about to we're.
about to drop 60 maybe tonight here and. instead there's other plants and your. killies are gone. So I was bummed out. for him as well. It was the first time. like yeah like I had a like a sick. feeling in my stomach. Well also the the. worst part of it was at least for me. personally. Games one to five it felt. like that was a reality. Hey, this might. happen. This might happen. This might. happen. Game six they play so well he's. rested in the fourth quarter. Like going. into game seven last night, it was the. first game where I wasn't thinking. about, hey, he might tear his Achilles.
just because it feels as though all the. other games. That was kind of the. thought. Yeah. Like he was going to be. able to finish the game. Yeah. Yeah. It. was because there was a lot of uh. confidence from the reporters about like. game time, decision convo, and then he's. going to play. And in our eyes, it was. like he looked pretty hurt coming off of. some of those things. Like whenever he. got uh he shot a three, I forget who it. was against. It might have been the. finals against Oklahoma. I guess shoots a three from the corner. He goes gets the rebound. He gets. knocked. Awkward awkward landing and.
then he's down. Then he's limping pretty. good after that. It was like that looks. like a real that looks like a real. injury there cuz a lot of these. basketball guys roll their ankles and. just keep rolling. Like I don't know how. I roll my ankle and I'm [ __ ] the. thing blows up to the size of a balloon. It's weak. I'm in pain. These guys. [ __ ] roll their ankles and then they. go to the back. I assume they get some. tordo or something. I don't know what. else they get. And then they're jogging. back. I'm like, I just saw your [ __ ]. sideways. I have no idea how you do it. So, it's not a knock against that. I.
don't think it's a toughness thing. But. the way he was like limping, it was like. that doesn't look good at all. And then. he said it was a calf strain and it was. an ankle. It was like, well, there's one. thing in between those two. Like I want, you know, there's a lot of it was just I. I didn't think he was healthy. So, whenever he does come out and have 14. and rest entire thing, it's like, okay, he's good to go. Yeah. And then game. seven, it's You're right. There was not. even a single thought. It was like, we're going to get best on best here. tonight. Yeah. Bingo. And then it. started that way. Making shots on both.
sides. Bang. Bang. Bang. We're about to. have a shootout in the NBA finals. Game. seven almost. And then that's it. He. heard it the same way he heard it the. other night. Like it was the same exact. fall as the game five. Yeah. Drive to. the I thought too like I mean that you. have to give the Pacers a lot of credit. for the way they responded right after. that to be leading at halftime cuz like. something like that happened. Circle. around. Exactly. Yeah, cuz all those. guys knew like you could you could see. that it was just like oh [ __ ] you know, like like we still have to play, you. know, and it's this isn't a game in the. middle of the regular season. Like this.
is game seven of the finals. We have to. try to figure out. So like props to them. for I mean they look great in that first. half. Are we ever going to get an. Achilles figure outer? Oh, you know like. Elatro has the Achilles factory out. there in LA. the New York guy here. It. sounds like Ali uh is the NBA's version. of the Achilles, but the Achilles is a. real I'm not going to say uh death. sentence, but it's like you're doing. real time after the Achilles ACL. Obviously, you're still doing real time, but I feel like they've figured it out a. little bit more. Like medical.
advancements have been happening in the. orthopedic world. Feels like on a. regular bas shoulders, elbows, knees, I. think hips are even getting to a spot. where they're a lot better than they. once were. It's like the Achilles is. still like Achilles. Everybody still has. the same reaction. Hope hopefully we we. figure it out and it's just you know. just the worst part of sports. You know. it's the part we all kind of sign up. for. It's all in the fine print and you. know whatever doesn't matter what game. what moment you know you have that risk. But if he had to do it you know 100. times again and playing in game seven.
like he's going to suit up and go out. there and play. Like there's no way he's. pulling himself out of that game of. situation. When you get hurt it's not. it's not just the pain of the injury. like you're laying down there, you're. you kind of I'm sure the off seasonason. comes to mind like damn next season. comes to mind, you know, all these. different things. And you have no. offseason. Yeah. Cuz it and like so you. go from the highs of the high to like. the lowest of the low. So it man, it's. tough. And to your point, like you do. have to kind of you deal with those. emotions as a teammate, as an opponent. We've been in games, I'm sure, where, you know, somebody gets a bad injury,
you know, the stretcher comes out, it's. everybody's on a knee praying, then it's. like, "All right, whistle blows. You got. to get back to it. [ __ ] kill that.". Yeah. Exactly. So, it's crazy, but they. still gave us a great game on both. sides. On that note, Jaylen Williams was. on First Take this morning and was asked. about how they reacted whenever Tyrese. gets hurt. He gave a great answer. We. know, we can only imagine actually just. seeing and witnessing when Hallebertton. went down what it was like for the. Indiana Pacers. What was it like for you. guys to see him go down like that.
earlier in the game? I know that's the. competitive, that's the competition, you. trying to beat him and what have you, but what was that like for y'all. collectively as a team? Can you take us. to that moment? Yeah. First, just shout out him in. general. Uh just playing with the risk. that he was like knowing that and still. going out there is mad respect for that. And then just as a competitor, I think. the human side of that is like you don't. ever want to see anybody get hurt, especially in a big game. I always try. and put myself in somebody else's shoes.
And for him to have the season that he. had, the playoff run he had, for him to. end it like that sucks. Um, and we never. wish that on anybody, but at the same. time, it was kind of like one of those. things where we have to recalibrate and. not let up off the gas cuz he's not. playing. You know, they're a really good. team and we still had to close the door. on him. Yeah. And they did in the second. half. Obviously, they end up pulling. away. TJ McConn goes crazy. Nemhard does. his thing. Nemhard's smooth. He's very. smooth player. Pascal obviously going to. be knee Smith got a lot of uh fouls.
early there. Didn't love that. Great. defensive side of the ball. Math was. fighting. Math I love Matan. Love what. he was doing. He's a good ball player. He is. He is. He can get hot at any. point in time. And if he was going to. get hot, I mean that would have been a. great time for it to happen. He kind of. did. He like rolled his ankle too and. was just jogging down the court, limping. down, limping back, limping down, limping back, and then just full speed. again. I'm like, how are these how do. these guys do I I I don't know how cuz. the ankle I saw also some people bring. up the shoes on the internet cuz like.
guys are wearing low tops now. Everybody. used to wear you know some sort of high. top or mid to kind of help keep. everything kind of in place. That was in. theory. I wonder if new science says. like hey if you tape your ankles it's. just as good as having high top re. Yeah. A lot of them wear a lot of them. wear those pretty bulky ankle braces as. well. Like look at Steph Curry. He has. those bulky like tie type ankle braces. They're all I feel like most players. have some kind of ankle support. Even if. they're wearing low tops, they have. taped ankles or the or the deal. Dude, they run so much. Yeah. Mhm. Start, stop, start, stop. Especially when.
you're that tall. Like that just so. tough on your body. Yeah. You cuz you. got to Everything has to move, you know, and everything is just kind of like for. their body. Like literally everything is. just bigger. Yeah. Elongated. Just like. Tyrese built. You can't really prehab. like a an Achilles, can you? I mean, you. can obviously strengthen your ankle and. do all that kind of band work and all. the different things to strengthen up. around your foot, but like your. Achilles, if it's going to go, it's. going to go. I feel Do calf strains lead. to Achilles or is this uh maybe. something else that they were just Maybe. a really low calf strain that's like,
you know, where it attaches maybe. I. don't know. I I'm thinking calf strain. like right in the ball of your calf, like right in the meat of it. Yeah, you're talking about right up here in. the in the plate. Yeah. KD didn't KD and. Dan both have calf strains before that? Yes, they both did. Are these being mis? Could be. I'm not saying misdiagnosed. Yeah, maybe they were never calf strains. and it was always Achilles, but I would. say there's definitely a correlation. I've had a Yeah, it sounds like there's. a calf strain to Achilles correlation. I. mean, obviously we should get somebody. smarter than us. We should call Dr. uh. David David uh Chow Chiao. We should.
call Dr. David Chow. He's been all over. it. Uh he he called out an Achilles uh. he called two nights before. I believe. it was uh he called it Achilles. tendonitis. Yes, he He said this is more. like Achilles tendonitis from the way. we're looking three he said it. Oh yeah. Yeah. That was a few days ago. Yeah, that was before. That's what he was. saying. Now, is he right? We still don't. know. It's still being talked about as a. calf strain, but it's like I've had like. a sore Achilles before. I think it was. at like training camp. I uh I thought it. maybe it was my cleats were a little bit.
too tight at that moment. So, I got. loose for cleats. I was like, "No, it's. actually the Achilles is a little bit. sore." And I don't do a lot of running. at all in my position. And every time I. took a step, I'm like, "Oh, this thing's. going to snap. Scary. This thing's going. to snap." It is. Yeah, I had like a. 4-day period where I was like, "My. Achilles is about to snap." And then. people like, "No, it's just something. some sort of strain on something. It. wasn't Achilles. It was close there.". That fear, which I assume Tyrese had to. have. I think that's kind of what he was. going like the game that he kind of had. a dud. I think he just wasn't. And then.
he finally got to the point where he's. like, "Fuck it. I can't play like that. Like, I have to just I have to blinders. I have to go blinders on here." Yeah. And then mentally that would be a lot. too. That's what that's what Perk said. He was playing scared at halftime and. and I I said it on the show I think the. next day like it wasn't necessarily like. he was playing scared of the opponent. but just cuz like whenever you're an. athlete like you want to just be out. there reacting and playing like whenever. you Yeah. You don't want to be thinking. about okay if I plant going left or. plant going right like you just got to. react. It's reactionary sport. So yeah.
it's going to be some type of of fear. and that some type of hesitation but you. got to think in game seven I'm sure like. to comment point like all right you know. it's time to roll. He knows his body. He's going through different things and. you can't, like AJ said, it's hard to. prehab that [ __ ] If you have like a. hammy or a quad or something, you can. get some acupuncture, you can get some. this and that, you know, kind of help, but that that Achilles is like, man, it's a mystery still. Well, and that's. why to your question of like, have they. figured out the Achilles or will they. ever? I don't know if there's anything. they'll ever figure out, but it does. feel as though recovery has been better.
Like ACL, you mentioned that's kind of. developed. Back in the day, if you got. an ACL injury, you were done. Now it's, you know, kind of a standard rehab and. then you can get back to where we are. I. mean, we're seeing it with Stefon Diggs. now. And then when it comes to Achilles, like Kevin Durant, he's about to sign a. 2-year $121 million extension at the age. of 37 and he had an Achilles what, four. years ago when he was in his 30s. So. like for Tyrese and Tatum and, you know, Lillard, who knows cuz he is a little. older, but for Tyrus and Tatum, they're.
both in their 20s. I don't think there's. any future is bright. Yeah. Yeah, but it. might be delayed. Mhm. A little bit. No. doubt. And the rehab and recovery. Like. I I just the Achilles is just thinking. you're missing the next season. Like. that's that's what's brutal. Like you. think, okay, I I rehab all offseason, you know, once we get back with the boys. in camp, it'll be good. But to think no, like I'm I'm going to be just early into. my rehab when the next season even. starts. That's what's tough. Yeah, that. is very difficult. Mentally, the vibes. are a big deal. The vibes are a big.
deal. who you're recovering with, who. you're rehabilitating with. Maybe him. and Tatum will be around at the same. time, which is good news. Anytime greats. are around each other, it's obviously. good. But sure, that's a tough thing. We. got to call in to Dr. David Chow. Uh, if. he gets back to us, we will certainly. get some more information. Uh, okay. We're sending him a Zoom right now. So, we're about to get some answers on that. That's good news. Before we get What's. that? Start at five. It's going to be. crazy. Yeah. Yeah. But, uh, Netflix. Yeah. Cuz I assume they'll continue with. him through the surgery. Ha,
Hallebertton. I mean Tatum too. I know. Jaylen Brown and Jaylen Brown had the. knee injury. He got surgery two days. after the season ended. Man, I see the. rehab process. They haven't. It's great. for us as fans. KD, but KD's on it. KD's. on it. Yeah, it's KD, Jaylen Brown, SGA, Hallebert. All the trade talks are. definitely going to be on there. I mean, all that bingo. You would think. Yeah, cuz it was still they'll cover the. finals and they'll, you know, KD. figuring out on stage that he's getting. traded. Yeah. At Fanatics Fest. What a. moment. Yeah. Felt like everybody was.
there. Wasn't there everybody there? Did. you know that? A lot of like a lot of. zany behavior at FanFest from what I've. seen. Fest Sports Gone, dude. Everybody's having Sports Gone. That's. kind of how you're supposed to look at. it. I listened to Ruben talk about uh. why he did it, how he did it. He's. losing a lot of money on that. Fanatics. is not making money off of that thing. He he talked about Yeah, this is just a. more of a a celebration of sports. Uh, and hopefully people associate fanatics. with the celebration of sports cuz.
everybody was there. He's losing money a. lot. Moving merch. I mean, got to pay. those players to all those athletes to. show up. I I think they're losing a lot. of he I don't a lot of talent there. Everybody. It's like that is certainly. an exper I mean [ __ ] everybody was. there. I was looking at the I was just. opening my phone. Algo feeding me. Fanatics Fest and I was like, what? And. then what? They got everybody. Last year. you said he lost 15 million to it that. So I assume even more or. maybe a little bit even if he cuts that. in 33%. I mean $10 million loss. There.
was 50 more,000 people that showed up. this year is what they said. Congrats. It looked like everybody was there. Yeah. Congrats on a fun time. But yeah, KD finds out that he's getting traded. whenever he's on stage chitchatting. about that. That's a good moment. I. wonder if KD knew beforehand. Definitely. because you heard Shams today say KD had. a little bit more say than Yeah. You. know because who he is. Okay. I'm not. going there. Yeah, you know. No, no, no. We're going to trade you there. We don't. We're just trying to get the best offer. Sweet. Can I talk to their GM? Yeah. I'm.
not playing if I come there. Oh, okay. All right. Sounds good. How's that offer. from that team? Not good anymore. I. wonder why. All right. Like, I'm not. saying he did that, but technically he. could do that. Way he operates with the. free agent house way back before Golden. State. Like, you could assume he's doing. that. Okay. I we don't Hey, we do not. know if he's telling people I'm not. coming there. But we do know that in. basketball, especially if you're Kevin. Durant, like you can certainly say. that's a bad move for you guys. I don't. want to do that. Complete control of the. NBA. Yeah. Heat fans aren't happy. Super.
what? No, they're not happy really. I. mean, he was you look at KD what we what. we would have there, you know, with. Tyler here. But they wouldn't offer up. as much as they would Jamie Hawz. Himeme. Hawz. They wouldn't trade him. I'm. probably in the minority here, but I'm. I'm still a big Rouse guy. I trust. Rousey. Okay. Says no. I trust him. I. believe in Rouse and uh we will believe. this man uh whenever he speaks about. the Tyresese Hallebertton injury news. that we've received today via Sham. Shirani making it official. He has torn.
his Achilles. This man was an NFL head. team doctor for 17 years. He does live. injury analysis with Sports Injury. Central which is siccore.com. They're also all over every social media. platform. official injury expert on. SiriusXM and for Fox Sports Radio. What. you will see from this dude and his. crew, I guess, of doctors and trainers. and medical field people, they will. watch film, slow it down, give their. diagnosis from film. These are doctors. doing this. So, it's like, if we're. doing this, we're [ __ ] Doctors.
doing this, allowed to do that, and then. almost immediately gives out a timetable. on what could possibly happen. It is a. weapon to follow along with, ladies and. gentlemen, Dr. David Chow. Hey, Doc. How you doing? Oh, yeah. I'm doing. great and thanks so much. And yeah, you're right about the team of people. I'm actually in Atlanta at a perfect. game baseball tournament national 12U. World Series with my son and my our. staff sent me the video last night of. the NBA and unfortunately it was a very. clear Achilles tendon rupture uh on the.
same side that he's been having issues. with and so that's that's too bad. Okay, so let's talk about that. And I believe. it was like three nights ago or two. nights before the Achilles tear. We saw. from your account Pro Football Doc uh. that you thought it was Achilles. tendonitis from what you were seeing on. the film. We have not had that. confirmed. I don't think that's ever. been stated by Tyrese or the team. But. why do you say that whenever you watch. it? And is that different than a calf. strain or is that a continuation of a. calf strain? H how does this all kind of. work together? They are all related. And.
and thank you for pointing out that I. have not examined Hallebertton. This is. off of video and off of what we call. insider knowledge about injuries, not. insider information. So after game two, you remember he limped quite a bit. coming off the podium. And before game. three, he was seen with kinesisio tape. and different tape on his right leg. That's when we opine that it was likely. achilles tendonitis, which is. microscopic injury tearing to the. Achilles tendon. He played through and.
played well and then obviously had the. calf strain which is somewhat related. all on the same side. We all remember. Kevin Durant, right? 2019 Golden State. Warriors calf/ and we were saying. Achilles tenonitis at the time and he. suffered the similar rupture in the NBA. finals. So it is related. But you know I. I don't like how people look. Hallebertton the Pacers knew what was. going on. This is not a surprise to. them. If we at Sports Injury Central can. know this from afar after game two that.
there is some risk of Achilles tendon. rupture and injury, but this is the NBA. finals. This is the Super Bowl. This was. game seven. He'd been playing well. leading up to this. If there's a. single-digit chance of rupture, most. athletes like yourself, AJ Hawback are. going to take the chance at. Hallebertton. He should be applauded for. trying to play through. It's just very. disappointing that it happened. Agreed. Okay, final question for me as we uh are. taking you away from a tournament. So, uh Achilles tendonitis does lead to uh.
Achilles tears. Like for instance, Christian McCaffrey, we heard about. Achilles tendonitis like 4 days before. the season started post everybody's. fantasy draft and they said he has. Achilles tendonitis. We had never heard. of that before. I don't think I did at. least. I don't know about everybody. else. Uh tenonitis obviously on the. knees. I think there's tenonitis in. other places. Achilles tendonitis, what. exactly does that mean? And is it. automatically if you don't get it. figured out an Achilles tear? You said. singledigit percentage there. What are.
what is the science in stats saying. behind Achilles tendonitis and Achilles. tears happening? There is a when you. have Achilles tendonitis that is some. inflammation and injury to the tendon. itself which makes it potentially more. vulnerable to tearing. If your normal. chance is 0.01%, you might be 1% or 2% with Achilles. tenonitis, right? And you know, people. gave McCaffrey and the 49ers grief for. resting and not playing him. I mean, those were regular season games and you. didn't want it to get worse and you.
didn't want it to progress and you. didn't want it to tear. Whereas, this is. NBA Finals and and let's ride with it. The unfortunate thing is now that he's. ruptured it and he's actually the third. player. Yeah. In the NBA playoffs this. year to rupture it. By the way, all. number zeros, which incredible odds of. that, right? But this means next year, really bad news. The bad news for the. Pacers is not losing the NBA finals. It's they're going to miss Hallebertton. basically next year as well. Yeah.
Heartbreaker. All right. We appreciate. you, Doc. Thank you for the information. and being on top of it. Ladies and. gentlemen, at Pro Football Doc, worth a. follow. Dr. David Child. All right. So, uh, AJ, do you hear. anything there? Um, Achilles tendonitis. is bruising and inflammation of the. Achilles. That sounds like a nightmare. just mentally if that is what he's going. through. Once again, we don't know. Well, especially now, thinking now in. the future if you are an athlete and you. have a little twinge in your Achilles or. whatever and say it might be a little. tendonitis in there if you get it. scanned or whatever, like what? Okay.
What can I do? How long do I need to. rest this? Like there's so many. questions. I would imagine athletes. everywhere. This is something that you. have to find a way to stay on top of. Yeah, cuz Christian McAffrey is back. full speed this year for the San. Francisco 49ers. So there has to be a. way to calm it down, I guess. Yeah, but. there's no time to like that was the. entire thing last season where it was. like, hey, he might be out for a couple. weeks and then they cuz all you can do. is wait. So then they wait a couple. weeks and then remember when he started. to ramp back up then he got it in both. of his Achilles Christian McCaffrey and.
then they had to shut him back down and. then he went to Germany. So it doesn't. feel like there's like a specific thing. or timet you can do. You're just kind of. you're just kind of screwed. Isn't the. human body insane? Mhm. Yeah. Yeah. You. don't have full-blown kneecaps till. you're like 10 or 12. Yeah. I mean the. kneecaps is the patella is certainly one. conversation but how about this? You. know, the Greek story is the Achilles, right? You get dipped into invincibility. or whatever, basically, and then the. only thing exposed is Achilles, which. becomes your Achilles heel. This man's.
Achilles heel. Great movie. Achilles. Yeah. Troy. So good. Got another banger. coming out. Who? Brad. Oh. Oh, yeah. Are. you watching it? Yeah. Opening night. You're going opening night. Duh. Brad. Hope can make it exciting. You think. Brad can make F1 exciting? Uh, I think Brad's actually making the. reality show, right? Isn't Brad making. the reality show? He's doing a movie on. the reality show. No, no, no. He He's. He's a racer. He's in the movie. The.
reality show F1 Driving to Survive was. good. It was great. Much better than the. racing. The Brad Pitt movie probably. just going to be Brad Pit reality TV. I. don't think so. No. No. Cuz they're. since it's, you know, the movie world. and everything, they're they're amping. it up a little and he will be passing. people on the uh track actually. So. yeah, that is kind of the movie magic. they're doing that's separate than F1. Um, but is he on green screen? Pass. another car. No, no, he is there. That's. real in the track. He they put him in a. two cockpit. Oh yeah. No, I think I. think he was driving an F1 car. Yeah,
solo cockpit. They're going a little, you know, BP was like, "Fuck these. guys." And just right away going like. 250. You think he ate anything in there? Probably. He's a good shrimp cocktail. I'm sure. Yeah. the the story of Brad. Pitt in like his character in the movie. from what I see is awesome cuz I think. he's like a NASCAR legend and then he's. switching over to F1 so he's got that. moxy like I'm [ __ ] I just one TGA. [ __ ] I'm I'm I can race a [ __ ] Is it.
got four wheels in a wheel? Yeah, I can. race it then. Well, Tom Cruz and he were. posing on the red carpet out there at we. cuz Tom Tom helped out with this movie, right? Uh same director as Tom Gun. Yeah, but like Yeah, the way they like. filmed it I think is very similar to how. they filmed Top Gun. Yeah, Brock Himer. and um people are going to get jacked up. about F1. Joseph Kazinski. Oh, for sure. This will give F1 another bump. And they. said till they watch the real deal. It's. going to give it more hat. Hey, we're in. the middle of a great [ __ ] season. right now. All right, boys. Are you all.
grand? It's a party. It's a party. It's a. party. Street F1 party. the F1 body. Uh. McLaren's dominating this year, but Max. is obviously in the mix. George Russell. is coming off a win Mercedes. So, it's. not just one guy winning every race. Didn't Vanderto's lead engineer go over. to McLaren or he went to Aston Martin? Uh new asart stinks. Yes, but he's he's. just getting even with Louis. He's just.
getting there. Um stuff to figure out. The F1 website is excited about the. movie. Obviously, that's the lead photo. right there. Tom Cruz, Brad Pitt, everybody's excited about F1. Obviously, limited highlights because are those Did. F1 finance this whole movie? You think? Uh, it's Apple. Apple. I mean, but who's. the money behind it? I would imagine the. people it makes sense for F1 to push. this. F1 has such. a wide array of people with so much.
money invested in F1. Yeah, I think. that's the most brilliant part of it. all. And I'm not, you know, uh, changing. the world with this take. I think a lot. of people say this. It's not just about. the race. Well, of course not, because. the race is horrendous usually. Everything else is a full spectacle of. the bazillionaires of the world. Feels. like that is what F1's kind of gimmick. is. Yeah. Like, hey, we have a fanatics. fest everywhere. Like, it's not it's not. a goofball fest. The engineering I never. said it was a goof. The racing is a part.
of it, but it's also the engineering the. car. What's your game plan? How do you. execute the strategy? How do you work. for the team? How do you prepare for the. track? That's why it's the [ __ ]. pinnacle. And Liberty Media, the people. who bought uh F1 right before the. documentary came out, right before the. show came out, they just bought Moto GP, I believe. So, Media Motorcycle. Liberty. Media. Yeah. So, I wouldn't be surprised. if Moto GP gets a little I want to try. that one time because it looks like the. worst thing that can happen is you're. just spinning around on a leather suit,
you know, 150 mph and then bang, then. you hit the wall. Yep. Yeah. It's. insane. Knee down on the side. We're. we're leaning that thing. I've seen one. of those races live and I'm like, these. dudes are these dudes are [ __ ]. psychos. Little rockets. Yes. Wide open. Like it's that shit's crazy. Yeah. I I respect the uh ability to. race. Here's a 2025 race results thus. far for F1. Lando Oscar Oscar Oscar. Oscar Lando Oscar Mhm. Okay. Lando Oscar.
Oscar Lando Lando No, that's not real. Oscar Lando Max Vander stopping. Lando. Oscar George Peterson. George Russell. Oh, who's George Peterson? What about L. Clerk? I think I know who George Peterson He's. a ghost. I don't know if you know George. Peterson. A a watcher in the night, if. you will. Is he Is he dead? No. No. George is.
alive and well. Still bringing it. Is. he? Well, the Fisher Freight had a game. winner. Fischers Freight located here in. town, Indianapolis. Suburb of. Indianapolis is Fisers. Fisers is one of. the greatest cities I think that I've. ever seen. Oh yeah. I mean, right now. with Fisers, they have a Top Golf. They. have every store you can imagine. A. plaza, malls, um, hotels, apartments, great. I mean, Fischers, Indiana is a. place that is awesome. Very lucky to.
live near Fischers, Indiana. I will say. personally, everybody talks about. Caramel, Indiana. Also awesome. Let's. not get crazy, but Fischers has really. been doing it. Fisers has built up huge. And the Fischers Freight are playing. right in Bruce's uh parking lot up. there. And I'll tell you what, they're. electrifying. Bruce, did you go to this. game? Have you gone to a game? I know. you're a season ticket holder. I I did. not go to this game, but this is what. it's all about, boys. There were three. lead changes in the final 27 seconds of. this game. Fischers Freight's uh Vincent.
Espinosa. He was um in a different arena. league that actually folded and joined. uh Fischer Freight either this week or. last week. So, he's a he's a new face in. our our QB room. uh with the Hail Mary. there to Gourney Sloan I believe. the wide receivers's name. This snaps a. nineame losing streak. So nine game you. need to get out to a game. they're two and they're nine. They were. two and I thought this team was good. Yep. We we had an injury to our our. backup quarterback Shoemaker and our.
starting quarterback left for the uh. Mexican Football League. Okay, quick. question. Mexican football league needs. to stop poaching our [ __ ] players. How many games in a season? How many. games in a season? Uh, we got to be. coming up on it now, right? We're free. We need I think we got one or one or two. more chances to get out. Packed up. without you. These are your freigherss. We go back to the Look at this place. That's a lot of points. Four more games.
Four more. That's not enough games, Ton. No, everybody. Look at that. Look at the. pop paws. Look at the place. Look at the. place. passed out. They're going crazy. July. July 19th, uh they got two more home. games July 19th against San Diego Strike. Force and then obviously they end the. game or they end the season July 24th. with the Barntormers. Yeah, sure. Does. everyone in the league make the. playoffs? I hope so cuz the Fishers. Freight are getting right at the right. time. Don't let them get hot. I believe. so. I believe everyone gets gets into. the Mickey Mouse. Uh defin if it's if.
it's an event seek. why don't you go sit down on the glass. That was a sellout crowd. I'm not sure. if you saw a sellout crowd. You can just. show up. Should do the coin toss. Bruce. should do the coin toss at some point. They should ask him. Bruce hasn't been. in the game for a while. It seems like. Yeah. I I mean I went to one of the. three wins so that's nice. You're good. luck. After two losses. All right. If. this goes in Oh [ __ ] Fisher freighter. never loses again. Love it. This is the most important one we've.
ever had. Come on. Oh [ __ ] Oh no. They. might lose another game, but when it. matters, they'll win. They'll win the. title. What's the Super Bowl called? Bang. Super Bowl. Super Bowl. What's. their Super Bowl? It's called a mega. spoon. They just win. That's a big. spoon. It's not a bowl yet. Cup. Could. have went with too. Ah, cuz soup is a. bowl or a cup. NBA cup. Yeah, I think. it's the uh football football super. duper cup. Yeah. Championship. The I cuz.
this is the indoor football league of. course, right? Yep. Out in beautiful. Tucson, Arizona. Yeah. Great. This was. the indoor football league. Dude, you. know how hard that Fisher freight parade. would slap downtown? Fisers. Oh my god. No. No. They're going downtown India. No, they got to be Fers. Right down 116. They all the way down the highway. That. place is awesome. You guys live up. there. I know. So, you were experiencing. it. That place's growth over the last. like 5 10 years. Fisers is awesome. They. take the parade on the highway from. Fisers all the way down to the monument.
for the uh speeches. If I know Fischers. people the way I know them, that parade. is good enough right there in Fisher. Bingo. Doesn't need to be going. anywhere. Ain't [ __ ] going downtown. [ __ ] highway. Yeah, that it's a long. way down there, pal. This is for the. Super Duper Cup. I don't think anybody's. paying attention enough to what is on. the line here. Coming home. This Fischer. freight team, if they were to win their. inaugural season, holy [ __ ] The NFL. Super Duper Cup, could you imagine what. that would do for Fisers Indiana? Maybe.
two to three more brunch places. They'd. be the [ __ ] golden knights of the. league. They would. Good luck, Bruce. This one's. for you and all the Fisher freighers. Mhm. Thank you. Come on. Let's go. freight, baby. Let's go freight. Let's. go freight. Let's go freight. Let's go. freight. Is that what they say? Yeah, probably. The freight train. for the freight. Let's win the [ __ ]. title.
The NFL super duper. Bonus ball. Bonus. ball. Bonus ball. Meant to be written in. the stars. Come on. Come on. Come on. Come on now. Yep. No. Damn. It's all right. There's always next. year. Took bad out. Yep. The freight will be okay. They won't. Unfortunately. Come on, Frank. Frank going to be all right.
God, it's getting worse. Thought you had. that one. There it is. Go Frank. Oh, are you kidding me? I worry about. the freight's future next year. That'll. be next year. They're going to have to. have a big off season. We need to go. down that Mexican League and start. getting our players back. Yeah. Uh, eight teams. Four. What's the. Mexican Football League? They're taking. our players. The MFL. You've never heard. of the NFL? They're taking our goddamn. quarterbacks. What's that, Tony? The.
population of the Mexican Football. League. And you looked at Bruce said it. like top four players. The top four teams from each conference. make the playoffs. There's seven teams. in each conference. [ __ ] There's 14. teams. So, we weren't even going to make. it. So, that's why the ball wouldn't go. But some of them are like the A the. Auckland soccer team. We're like, did. you see the Quad City steam house? Steam. house. They're actually the best team in. the league. Quad City Steamhouse. Steam. How are the Barntormers doing? Uh 1 and. 10. Jesus. What is going on? Bayard.
team. Oh, what's the Florida team? What? What is that? Green Bay Wizard. They're. good. They That's who the Indie just. beat was the Blizzard in that game. Yeah, but the Arizona Rattlers been. around a long time. They've been really. slithering their way at the bottom of. this league. They're looking to have. quite a come up. The Nighthawks. We. [ __ ] get it. We know what the. Nighthawks are about. How the Pirates. doing? They still in first? I think they. took it home last year. Nah. Too small. of a state. They said, uh, the Sharks. though, they're down there swimming with. the Meadows, aren't they? They sure are. Yeah. What city? The Sugar Skulls. The.
Sharks. Top R. Uh, the Sharks are in um. Jacksonville. Bruce is saying. Jacksonville. Yeah. San Antonio. Who? And then the Sugar Skulls. Good call. there, AJ. Who are the Sugar Skulls? Uh, Tucson. Yeah. To play for the sugar. schools, you got to do a very specific. kind of sugar, I think. All right, we're. going to get out of here. We don't know. if that's true. We just learned the team. today that we that could very much not. be true. Boogie sh but looking. highlights. Let's uh playing like a.
bunch of man possessed out there. Let's. get back uh San Antonio Gunslingers. Not. bad. That's a great name. Good name. San. Antonio Gunslingers. San Diego Strike. Force. I like the helmets. The helmets. are good. The football is good. That's. the easiest part. Better than the Tulsa. Oilers. Good call. Yeah, take the Oilers. from the NFL. Like that. That was good. negotiation by the Yeah, big time. You. said we want the Oilers cuz you guys. aren't using it. They You'll take a.
percentage. Scroll up, please. Quad City. Steam Rollers, not Steam Houses. They. should change that to the Steam house. Go down a little bit, didn't you? The. Quad City Steam Wheelers. Steam. Wheelers. Yeah. See, it just doesn't hit. the same as the theme house. Maybe. that's the stadium. Massachusetts Power. still out of Marboro. Uh, yeah, they are down there in Marble. Actually, we got everybody's phone. numbers out there. All right, let's get. out of here. Get out of here. That's their website. and all ours. If we want to call, we can. buy some tickets. Yep. Go support your.
local YFL team. Yeah. Yeah. Go Pirates. More football is better football, of. course. That's right. Uh, the Fisher. Freight electrifying finish is great. news. Yeah, it is. That's what we're. looking for this entire time. Amen. They've only won three games in their. inaugural season. Next year, it's all. right. First season league was. definitely still exist. You see how many. tickets Fishers Freight sold? All packed. house. I didn't Is anybody else doing. that? Iowa bartor Stormers. Uh if. they're one and 10, you know, yikes. But. yeah, I mean, people would go to those. games for sure. Fishers freight folks, I.
think, just going to have a day like. it's Pittsburgh Pirates. If they win, good. If not, we had a day out here. cheering on. Thank you, kids. Absolutely. Have a good time. Yeah, [ __ ]. it. Yeah. Maybe a little Chase Rice. concert out in the field. Yeah. Yeah. Which happened in Fischers. Yep. Mhm. Did you hear that? Chase Rice was doing. a brunch concert basically for Fisers. This Fiser City is the real deal. They're they like really I figured I. hear great things about Fisers, honestly. It actually is great place. Fishers Frank need to pick it up. They. do. They're representing a great time.
All board. Hey, why' that uh Sorry. Why'. that why' that soccer team uh there's a. soccer team playing in Cincinnati? I. don't know what they weren't from here. And the guys on the bench had to go. watch the game from the locker room cuz. it was a little too hot. 87° they said. Yeah. 30 and 12° C. Let's not overheat. here, boys. We're not used to seeing the. sun. What about the guys on the field? Well, they got to they're doing it for. the team for the country. Also, it's. also false reporting from Joe Pump. It. was only the first half. Joe P.
You disrespect. So, so where he was. wrong was just not saying first half of. the match when he says Dortmund's bench. watched today's first half of the match. from the locker room because of the. heat. That would have been spot on. Not. the full match. Don't you think just. because of the heat is the problem that. everybody's having, not that it was just. a half a game soft. I think everyone. else reported as the first half cuz. that's what it said on the Dortmund X. account, but Joe Pop decide not to do. We like the Dortmund team. We had a. chance to meet the Dortmund team and the. Dortmund people, but this does feel like.
it's a little ridiculous. It's It's. tough to take serious. So, but I will. say, I mean, we were all outside on. Saturday. It was so [ __ ] hot. If I. was given the option to sit inside? Yeah. What have I'm not not playing. right now? Yeah, I'll go [ __ ] sit in. the air conditioning. Sure. Do we have a. TV in there? Do you need me out here for. anything? No. No. Okay. So, I can just. go sit inside. Yeah. J always played well. It was a good. match. I think it was a good idea. Uh, it does look soft though, very, you. know, just because anytime you're doing.
something that is making your life. easier and nobody else is doing it, people are going to automatically bury. you for being soft. I assume Dortmund. just thinks they're smart and everybody. Did they win the game? Yeah. 4-3. It was. quite a quite a winner, too, right? Weren't you there? Yeah, it was an. unbelievable game. The Sundowns from. South Africa came out hot, scored early, and then Dortmund kind of took over the. game. I thought it was a Sund Downers. from Niagara Falls. It wasn't. It was. not. You I even said that on your. Instagram and you said yes. That's who. it was. I said real problem. Yeah. Yeah.
Sun downers. A lot of people grew up in. that club up there in Niger Falls. It. was tough to get into as a teenager. Tough to get into. They they were really. strict on the ideas when you're 15 16. years old getting into that place. But. inevitably you crack the code. You get. in there and you learn a lot about life. up there at Niagara Falls. Couple. loonies and Tony's you can have a good. blast. But this isn't the Sundowners. which I was confused about. This the. Sundowns. Sundowns from South Africa. And all these teams are from their own. leagues, these countries leagues. Yep. So Sundowns plays in the South African.
Soccer League, which we have certainly. heard about before. I definitely haven't. heard much of that league, but uh they. put forth a good effort for sure. And. then there was a uh Korean Soccer League. team that was playing out here as well. against the South African soccer league. as well. Yeah, the Red Diamonds were. going wild. Their fans were pretty. electric. How do these teams get in. here? This Auckland team is treating it. like a TST team. How do these teams get. into the super duper $100 million cup? I. tell you what, it is interesting cuz. Chelsea's in it and they won the. Champions League like four years ago. So, I don't know how they're in it. Well, and Lou Messi's in it. Yeah. Like.
Inter Miami technically didn't qualify. cuz they didn't win anything to get. into, but there's a guy who's uh uh. driving Uber and then playing goalie for. the Auckland team playing in the Super. Duper Cup. Yeah, it's a classic FIFA. operation it feels like. So, is this. just a trial for the World Cup? You. think they're masking it as a super. tournament, but really it's just $100. million we're going to give away to try. to see if we can host a World Cup here. I believe so. And they want to run it. back in America in 2029 as well. And. give a real tournament here. Yeah. Same. same deal. When we get this figured out.
by 2029, we'll run this thing back. Yeah. Let's go. Cuz I saw like what. 60,000 people one of the games and I saw. 6D people at one of the games. Yeah. There was no one at that Dorman game I. was at, but that Cincinnati Stadium is. beautiful. We kind of told you nobody's. going to be here, right? Yeah. I mean, you get to see Jude Bellingham's younger. brother. It was the first game he. started for Dortmund. Joe Bellingham. Joe Bellingham. He's one of the close. He's unbelievable young player. Joe's. He took a shot. You close my. tongue the whole time. Scored a goal and.
got man of the match. Job. Job. Job. Oh, Job. Strong name. That is a good name. Good luck, Job. All right. If this goes. in, Job. Job's gonna win a Super Duper. Cup. Okay. Yep. When's a Super Duper Cup. end? Like when does this job isn't a. name? July 14th. Is it in the Bible? Yeah. Knockout. rounds start this weekend. Knockout. runes. Yeah. Who's in it? Is Lou in it? Inter Miami plays tonight. They'll.
probably need a point to get to the next. round. We'll see what happens with the. other teams play. They better give it to. them. They'll win. Why put that free. kick? Because the only one people were. trying to watch. What are you talking. about? All right. If this goes in, Lou. Messi's team's gonna get a get a point. tonight. Okay, they're going. Yeah, they're going for Lou. Money. Oh, this. is for Lou. For Lou. [ __ ] Well, seems like that uh Messi led. inner Miami team's kind of buming. everybody out there. Got to meet Blue.
Messi. Did you um get a chance to see. Panthers parade? I saw the boys having a. good time down there. It was hot down. there, too. I'm glad we weren't soft. We. still showed up. Did you go? Yeah, I. stopped through on my way to airport. Oh, really? You saluted the boys. I had. a flight to catch, so saluted. Oh, that's you told me, didn't Here's the. view of the parade from the US Coast. Guard flying overhead down there in. South Beach. Obviously, everybody's. going to question the fanhood until they. see that. Wow. Fort Lauderdale Beach. Looks like it's spring break down there.
with just Panthers fans. Lordo bouncing. around group to group and the US Coast. Guard flying overhead saying, "Have. yourself a day, lads. Have yourself a. day down there." Um, shout out to the. Florida Panthers fans showing up. Yeah, the boys have been on quite the run on. on social media obviously down there, you know, 11 Fort Lauderdale Elbow Room. Happy for the boys, man. Hope we can. keep the squad together as much as. possible. Uh, that looks amazing. Yeah, that looks like a great time. Hot day. There's a chance we were asked if we.
wanted to go to that after seeing the uh. drone cameras here. Feels like we missed. out on quite having one of it won't be. the last one. Congrats to the Florida. Panthers. Oh, there's the That's where. Buty watching from this W balcony. Yep. Wow. Spot. Good for Florida. Congratulations, Hockey Beach. All right, let's get the. hell out of here. We appreciate you all. for allowing us to do this for a living. Hope you had a great weekend. Excited. for that hat to be uh every day. Are you. wearing it every day? Uh we'll see. I.
mean, this is kind of the thing. It is a. special occasions hat. You You just You. don't just bust out the yard goats hat. every single day. But um this is a boost. though if they win. Yeah. Exactly. Exact. Yes. If they win Dallas. Yeah. Then Yeah. If I I will have this. stitched into my hair. The hat. Yes. And. so I'll never be able to take it off. That's how much I [ __ ] love the. Ghost. Bubba's on that team. Bubba's on. that team. [ __ ] Matt Wolf is on that.
team. Um, Kevka's brother, Peter. Yeah, Peter is on that team. Um, I'm having a. tough time remember cuz you know, listen, we've had a couple guys fighting. with relegation. Oh, come and go. Yeah, exactly. So, I'm I'm hearing Bubba's. talking with Scotty Sheffer right now. What? He's recruiting him. You're here. Oh, Peter Uline. Okay. Ben Campbell. You mean you talk about Ben Campbell? Mhm. Ben Campbell's an absolute That's. the whole team. Oh, so we had three.
quarters of the team. Yeah. Yeah, exactly. I mean, I told you I got nailed. it. You know, can a team get relegated? Uh, yes. I do believe there's So, we're. up against it. So, need the yards start. making contact. I don't think the teams can be relevant. Yeah. So, that's kind of what helps some. of the captains and the bigger names not. be relegated. So, like, you know, uh, Brooks has his own team. Bryson, Rahm, Bubba, uh, Phil, you know, they all have. their own team. So even when they're. Sergio Garcia,
Sergio has his own team. Lee West. Who's. that? Fireballs. Fireballs. Cam Smith. has his own team. Who's the guy from uh. that has this Pter? Does he have a team? Dan Palter. D I thought he had a team. He should. Palter. I'd watch Palther's. team. He might be on the yards, too, though. We don't know. He's a huge name. He probably has all I think he has a. team. He was early to How many [ __ ]. teams are Neman? I thought there were. like 12 teams. Can we look up the. standings of the teams currently in uh.
in Liv? I would like to see kind of. where the yard goats are amongst the. rest of the goats in the yard. Don't do. this. The Crushers uh golf club which is. led by Dsham Bro is obviously up there. in first place. Uh then you got the Four. Aces with DJ's team in second. Smash GC. which sounds very similar to Crushers. This is Brooks Keep's team. They're in. third. Torque Golf Club. They got a lot. of torque. A lot of torque. They're also. turquoise, which is nice. That's. walking. We Yep. Range goats. All right.
Don't look now, baby. Fifth place. Boom. And then Legion. Legion 13. I didn't. know. I didn't know. Louis, I think. Oh, this last Virginia. Yeah. Yeah. Fifth place. We're not bad at all. Goats are in ninth in the season. standing out of out of uh 13. Oh, yeah. I mean, so not bad. the the goats are. ascending right now and we just we just. need a little bit better play from you. know some some of the guys out there. we'll be all right. All right. I'll tell.
you what this goes in. Okay. Range goats. Goats going to win the. titles beating us team. This is going. in. It's for the goats. Okay. Goats. No. If I make this, you got to wear that. hat. How many days straight? Two weeks. These next two weeks done. Make it. Oh here we go. So bad. That was. close. Okay. So, we're going to bump. down to a week now. No. No. Be careful. You You wear a hat for too long, you. have to wear it the whole rest of your. career. So,
good point. That's cowboy time. That's. right. That hat looks good on you, though. Thank you. Appreciate it. I I do. prefer the straw over the felt. It's. hard to travel with all those though. Yeah. Here's for the yard. Actually, this is Crushers GC. Smashers. Do we. have Crushers or Smashers? This is for. the Crushers. Okay. Crush Sham bro. That's D Shambo team. The Crushers going. to win it all if this goes in. It's a. good name. Oh yeah. Oh.
well. Looks like the Argot ain't got it. Dshambo's team is going to take it all. this year for the super duper live. title. Congratulations to them. Happy. the universe and Golf God spoke to us. that way. All right. Better fight Bubba. We're back here tomorrow. Uh Monday. Night Raw is on tonight. I will not be. commentating. Um, continuing to just like kind of catch up. on life as a whole, you know, post Money. in the Bank pre uh, Night of Champions. feels like a good time. I was getting. pretty exhausted there. So, shout out to.
everybody uh, to WWE looking out for me, too. Very, very thankful. But tonight, Raw on Netflix in Columbus, Ohio. Oh, wow. Should be a big one. All right. We. appreciate the hell out of all you. Be a. friend, tell a friend something nice. I. might change your life. We're in this. thing together. Team on me. Team on. three. 1 2 3. Bye-bye.
