[music]. [music]. for real. Oh no. >> [music].
[screaming]. >> Let's go. that thing. Oh,
[music]. [music]. nice. >> [music]. >> You got it in Berkeley, California. >> YOU GOT IT.
WE DID IT. [music]. [music]. This one's for free. AJ Hawk. $5,000. HEAT.
[music]. HEAT. [music]. [music]. Put my hands [music] up. Keep my hands. up again.
[music]. Heat. [music]. [music]. Heat. [music].
>> [music]. [music]. >> Come on in. [music]. [music]. >> [music].
>> I feel. [music]. me. >> [music].
[cheering]. [music]. >> The following program is a collection of. students talking about happenings in the. sports world. It is meant to be comedic, informative. The opinions expressed on. this show do not necessarily reflect the. beliefs of their peers, their boss, or. ESPN. There may be some cuss words.
because that's how humans in the real. world talk. If you are a young, please. seek permission before watching any. further. >> Hey, let's go. This show stinks and the fact that you. listen, we are very, very thankful. >> On the line with a gorgeous assist, >> the alltime leading tackler for the. Green Bay Packers, you. stop.
Damn it. Your friend, tell a friend. something nice could change their life. [music]. sport. >> Hello, beautiful people [music]. and welcome to the SBS Lounge here in. beautiful [music] New York City on this. SBZ July 14th. This program starts now. [music]. Sports. >> are the absolute greatest thing. And. we're celebrating all of that here in. beautiful New York City. We're so. incredibly lucky and thankful to be.
here. They have shut down the lounge for. us to be here. Now, there's about 30. people that are being told what they. need to do in this lounge over the next. two days as all the stars from both the. sports world, pop culture, Hollywood, music come through here and uh we've. just kind of invaded it completely. We've taken over half this place. There's certainly people that are not. going to be happy about this. The guy. that runs the SBS hates our show, but we. are very, very thankful to be here and. we are very thankful for the. hospitality. This is beautiful. There's. a Hummer EV setup over here. I don't. know if somebody's going to walk in here.
and buy themselves an electric Hummer, but there's a chance, I guess, that that. could happen. As somebody who owns one, cuz I wanted to save the world with my. electric vehicles. I'd say you guys do a. really good job. The top though, >> the the four glass the window, the glass. tops. >> Really, really cool. Except for like. when there's no clouds in the sky. Sure. >> And also when it rains. >> Okay. Ah, >> but other than that, most convenient car. I've ever had in my life. And it looks. sweet. I've. >> had it for a while. >> Long time. I've had I've had one of you. guys for four years now.
>> You're saving the world. >> Well, the c the mines are one thing, but. yeah, sure. In a way. >> No, but I plug it in at night. Yep. Go. to work. I thank these people. >> I've never seen any of those mines. So, >> uh I've heard about those. I don't love. that. Jake Paul's right here. I had no. idea that was going to be the case. Shout out to W. You know, you want to. get a dub, you spray dub, you smell. better. Uh there's a bar right here that. will be touched because we were in an. Irish pub until about 4:00 a.m. this. morning. Uh because traveling over here. celebrating the home run derby last. night. How could you not go around the. corner? Especially when Bruce Brown's.
back in town. >> Bruce Bruce. WAY TO GO, BRUCE. >> NEW YORK. Coming home with Thomas to. >> Yeah, Bruce still boozed up. Bruce. really put on a show last night. I think. he let the entire city know he was back. Gumpy, do we have that video of him. exiting the bar last night? Foxy, do you. have that? >> I do. >> Let's check. This happened at about 3:45. this morning in New York City. Just so. you guys know what we're dealing with. here. Yeah. Okay. So, [laughter] that is.
how we got here. >> Welcome to my city. >> Yeah, that was that was about eight. hours ago. So, we are going to TRY. [laughter]. >> wood chips, good chips, friendships, whatever. >> Yeah. Red chips, blue chips, old chips, new chips, no chips. Like friendships, pal. >> Did you bust that last? >> No, he just tried to he just butchered. it right [laughter] there. He uh he did. a fantastic job. It's been amazing. Yesterday home run derby was obviously. spectacular. Jet passing's uh more like. jet pass hole for what he said about. what that derby was going to be. He said. he didn't think it was going to be good.
A lot of people thought the 20 swings. was going to take forever. We do not. know what the Netflix broadcast was. We. watched the Honold broadcast. We could. probably guess what it was like. We read. what it was like online. They're going. to obviously just getting into. something. They're going to learn their. They're going to learn their. thing. Being there live in person. Barry. Bond said it afterwards to Jordan. Jordan Walker will be joining us in. about 12 minutes or so out of the St. Louis Cardinals. What a fantastic story. His year salary 799,000. He wins a. million dollars last night and. immediately after hitting six straight.
home runs in Philadelphia to beat. Schwarbo. He actually goes like this and. then celebrates. It was very clear like. when I was uh high school kicking, learning how to kick a football. They. always tell you like put yourselves in. situations in your mind whenever you. kick. So, I would always put myself in a. money mindset like, "Hey, if I make this. kick, somebody's gonna give me a million. bucks. Hey, if I make this kick, I'm. gonna get a million bucks." Last night, he literally walked into that place and. said, "Hey, if I can hit more home runs. than everybody here, I can get a million. bucks right now, which means more to him. than anybody else that was in that.
field." Schwarbo's got like $400 million. in career earnings or something like. that. Uh, obviously Bryce Harper just. his marketing deal is obviously worth. more than that. 24 year old dude out of. Georgia steps up in a big moment in. Philadelphia and does what he does, especially to end that thing with the. magenta ball. We hadn't seen that all. night. Nobody had gotten hot with the. magenta balls. We had been watching. that. We've been hoping for that. Magenta balls, if you ask the pitchers. uh who got to feel those balls, >> these are juiced is what Niski's exact. points were. These are juice balls. We. never want to touch these. skins goes.
every once in a while just by happen. stance there will come a run of games. where this is what the ball feels like. and that's whenever everybody starts. saying the balls are juiced the balls. are juiced but MLB says the balls aren't. juiced this is just how they get made. the magenta balls were made to be they. were made to be juiced but I think for. some reason either guys couldn't see. them well or it wasn't coming out as. well so nobody got hot with the magenta. ball which I think was the goal of the. magenta ball until he had six straight. to win the entire thing in Schwarbo's. You're talking about just cinema. Last.
night was awesome. The weather was. perfect. The lads were per like we we. got a chance to talk to a lot of people. We got a chance to chitchat with a lot. of legends. It was we are very thankful. for MLB for the hospitality and their. contributions. But also the home run. derby is still an event that is awesome. You know, like we we've lost a lot of. things in this sports world that are. celebrating the greats and uh like. celebrating a sport. We all know the Pro. Bowl has become ass. We know. I don't. know how you fix it to be honest cuz I. would if I was playing uh a real.
position and if I was still playing and. they said hey you need to go out there. and like tackle each other after a. season's over I would tell everybody to. go eat too if I was a pro bowler. which is what we've gotten to at this. standpoint. So they're trying to figure. it out with flag football and obstacle. course and The NBA Allstar. obviously we know what they're doing. NHL figured it out with the uh four. nations but you got like five guys that. got hurt from that. So who knows how. long that's going to continue to go. I. think the hockey players will continue. to do it. The fact that the baseball. players love this event and still want. to show up for baseball, I think is a. big deal. And the fact that he's 24. years old and has already won means we.
got another 10 years of him in this home. run derby. And after seeing him in. person and getting a chance to fist bump. him, he is a Goliath. >> Yeah, this guy is a absolute monster. And he's also one of the fastest players. on the Cardinals. I guess he's become. the first 3030 guy that they've had in a. long time or going to become the first. 3030 guy in a long time. He said hello. to the world. We'll talk to him in 15. minutes. I think his contract's up, too. So he he really he he did it all. That. that's an amazing story from last night. Amazing event last night. And shout out. to the Philadelphia crowd. >> Yeah, >> they were booing kids.
>> They were booing batters. They were. cheering for everything. I mean, from. beginning until the end. And it wasn't. as nearly as long. >> No, it was a lot better. >> I think everybody was scared of in. person. We've gotten a chance now to go. to the last two. Once again, new to the. baseball world, new to baseball. coverage. Very thankful that we get to. do it. Last year felt long and boring. >> Yes. >> This year felt awesome. It did. >> And MLB, to their credit, last year felt. long and boring. They made adjustments. and the players, big- time players,
still wanted to be a part of it. They. showed up. Obviously, all that's Jason. Kendall. >> Wow. >> Kapage. That's Jason Kenn. >> You with the jersey on. Just awesome. They had no idea he was going to be. there. >> No idea. >> See on his knee. Feared out of nowhere. >> I did not know Jason Kennall was 510, 5'11. Okay, but that makes sense. He was. a catcher guy. He had to do his thing. He had do his thing. He wore no gloves. Okay. Ever. >> Yep. >> His hands. Yeah. His hands. >> are like, ladies and gentlemen, >> college football national champion,
Super Bowl champion, RDER Cup winner, and a man who just got a sack on the Miz. at the American Champions. Ladies and. gentlemen, guy who came in top 50 in. Tahoe, AJ Hall. >> Taco, how you doing, pal? We missed you. Uh, I genuinely thought coming out of. Tahoe you weren't going to be able to. make any of these shows. Thank you for. traveling out here to New York. Yesterday was spectacular. The All-Star. game is tonight. MLB still feels like. it's special. Like this still feels like. a special week. And every player we. talked to still feels as if it's an.
honor to get invited. We talked to Skino. a lot. >> Okay, we talked to Skino a lot. yesterday. It's his second all-star and. he still like a child. Third All-Star. He's like a child out there. You know, Miz, we talked to Miz last year. He. makes his first All-Star game. This is. second one. He's They're talking about. the conversation that happened in the. clubhouse before this home run derby. started as if they're listening to. Legends speak and they're like doing. this entire thing. Braxton Ashcraft out. of the Pirates. He's a stud football. player out of Waco, Texas, who's now uh.
incredible pitcher for the Pirates. He. normally from my understanding very uh. he's a football guy. He's a lot of. chatty chatty chatty. I guess there's. about three hours of silence out of that. band in the clubhouse as all the OGs. were kind of giving game to each other. So, I think MLB still treats this as a. special thing. We're lucky to be a part. of it. Wish you would have been there. Obviously, fresh out of Tahoe, but I do. appreciate the fact that their league. still takes it serious, the celebration. of their league. >> Absolutely. I I watched the Netflix. broadcast, so it was good. Pool host,
uh, Barry Bonds, like I I loved their. insight, everything they were doing. El. Duncan kind of directing everything. I. thought it was good. Like, I expected to. be 10 hours long. I really did. So the. fact that they were able to keep it. moving like they were. >> people are really talking on the. coverage. Now you remember. >> always will. >> It's cuz there's no Chris Burman saying. back. >> So now on that note though I remember. when people hated Burman cuz you you. know like it's an interesting. >> tell how it works. Everyone wants to go. back to this whole nostalgia thing which. I don't know. I mean I loved it. The. only thing I don't like is why do we. have to have Bryce Harper and Schwarbo.
in the same field? Why why did one of. them have to get eliminated in the first. round? >> Uh cuz cuz Harper weren't able to hit. enough. >> home. He didn't hit enough. put them in. like different flights or do something. so where they can meet up. >> The idea would be that both those guys. hit enough homers to his pants. >> Yeah, but he I mean Harper got put in a. tough spot. >> Nine NFL vet Darius Jay Butler was down. on the field there. But some of the guys. said that maybe you're at a different. altitude for a little bit of a You did. come down from the Raptors. I think we. did enjoy that. Over 75 home runs in the.
first round. We hit that. What a night. What a time. >> Harper got us over the top. Uh I enjoyed. myself yesterday. It was it was a great. uh welcome back for me for the program. from wire to wire from where we started. to where we ended last night with Bruce. leaving the bar whoever left after him. It was a great absolute great run. Obvious we streamed yesterday too, you. know. >> Okay. [laughter]. I told Pat this before. I was like, "Oh. man, he's going live." So Pat goes live. The first thing that pops up as soon as. you're I I click on it. You got Kanger.
Jr. standing right behind you guys in. the dugout. thought where the flyover. was. >> Then when you dap up Owen Wilson, he I. want to come to the football set. [laughter]. then Will Frell and then Luke Wilson. The whole Wilson family obviously they. can do no wrong in my eyes. He's looks. like he's 22 years old and then Will. Frell right here and you just go down. the line the first like five years Jimmy. Tetro as well. Jimmy I am so sorry. Jimmy. I was captivated by Will. You. have to understand what that was. A lot. of people in the comments saying that I. kind of left Jimmy hanging or whatever.
I would like to let Jimmy know. legend, trailblazer. I love everything about. him. I was just kind of caught up in the. eye black on Will Pharaoh and also. wanting to tell him about every movie. that really changed my life. I wanted to. tell him semi-pro watched three times in. a theater. Yep. >> Okay. I wanted to tell him that I was. the one. Anchor man also went to the. theater, did that entire thing. Yes. I I. mean, I wanted to just break down. everything that he did was great because. a lot of people were saying as of late, he hasn't maybe thrown a fastball. That's good. It's like, how much do you. want this guy to do? Go back to like his. first 50 movies and he was like, I'm 39.
He was my gener. It was incredible. Everybody was so nice to us. >> I know, right? >> Internet. >> Yeah. Okay. I hope so cuz Will Ferrell. deserves to have a, >> you know, a thing that still goes. because there was a couple miss. There's. been. >> anytime we're doing comedy. >> Yeah. >> Anytime you're doing it for that long. and the way Will Ferrell does it, he's. all in. >> Yeah. >> So, there's opportunity to suck and. there's certainly a couple movies that. he's been a part of that have been. completely ass and have missed the mark. But what Will Ferrell has contributed to. my life and I I think all of our lives.
I just wanted in the moment that I. didn't know he was going to be there and. I would like to let Jimmy know I got. lost in making sure I let Will Ferrell. know that he was appreciative. He wasn't. the only though. I mean Don Mattingley. was there. I got a chance to chat with. him. All the legends were out. Uh. >> Cranston Brian Cranston watch. pretty cool. >> That was insane. Who's the writer? >> Uh Kita or Anita Brunson or no? No. >> Abid Elementary. Yes. >> Quinta Brunson. There you go. Clinton. She was there. Um, so I mean so many Jimmy.
>> Rollins I just I'm just saying this for. the first time. >> Yeah. >> I didn't see. >> Yeah. And let's not even talk about I I. would like to say though, Ty, also if. Jason Kendall I told him to get in. there. Okay. Come on Jay. >> Come on Jay. I need you in here. Uh Ty, if you make that your profile photo, I. would like to say there's multiple. options. I don't know if you looked at. him yet. Zoomed out, zoomed in, portrait. mode. I I did. >> You did. You did. You You hooked it up. >> Yeah. Yeah. I Well, I try to get profile. photos. >> cuz I I do think that he's I like. >> he's beast. Uh yeah, he's an absolute. monster. Very cool. It when I told him I. needed three home runs from Bryce Harper.
uh to get to 75. He looked at me, he was. like, "He's going to hit three." Then he. didn't. >> Yeah, he did. He did take his sweet time. off. >> Then there was like six swings. He like. looked back at me and I'm like, "Yeah, shut up." [laughter] You know, it was uh. it was very apparent. And this happened. at that wedding that I was very lucky to. be through the last time I was here. And. at that thing, it's crazy like the. amount of people that we have so much. respect for that like know that we exist. now. We're very lucky, very thankful, and very appreciative for it all. ESP's. here is tomorrow. We're very thankful. for whoever we get a chance to stop by.
This lounge is where everybody checks. in. >> Dom. brought me some beers. Asked me if I. wanted some chicken cutlet. [laughter]. >> Some cutlets, some cheese steak. >> Literally asked me if I wanted some. cutlets while I was sitting down right. there. Do you have them with him? >> I'll go get him. He literally first. interaction was so so Italian. As it. tell, keep move. Hey, whatever you need, just. let me know. And then you know. [laughter] it was the most Italian. Yeah. He he walks up and I tell him I. go, "Hey." You know, cuz we're. streaming. Okay. I go, "Hey." He goes, "My man." Okay. He goes, "You're the.
best. Okay. Hope you're [laughter]. good." And uh then another guy shows up. and he points at the guy and he goes, "Ah, you guys are the best." And then. walks away. [laughter] And it was like. the most Italian interaction it could. possibly be. Dom, I think, is going to. be on the program uh soon. I was trying. to put a little pressure on him to come. on the show. I you know, Dom does what. he wants to do. He is obviously an icon. in Philly and I know outside of. Philadelphia the narrative about him is. whatever. We got a chance to experience. a little. There he is right there. Hey. guys, you're the best. You're the best. You just did the entire thing right. there. Uh I know whatever people say.
about him outside of Philly because I. don't think any other city has a human. like this guy. >> in Philly though. We were watching it. happen. He is exactly what. >> Yes. >> Everybody. >> He does want to know though who on the. program. >> talk about about me. >> And I said I don't know. >> RIGHT HERE. [laughter]. That's a toxic table at Boston Conor and. at Ty Schmidt down there. One half of. the hammer on Cowboys AP. Tone. Uh Tone, you hit last night. Okay. We obviously. did the first round over 74 and a half. Shout out to DraftKings for letting us. boost that. Also plus 120 for that. Felt.
great. >> That that felt like a really good boost. We appreciate them doing that. You also. immediately yesterday say, "Hey, with. the way the wind's blowing this park. with the people in here, 485 is the. overunder for longest." Contrarus, first. guy out the bat, had 480, 483, 487, 490. That was like, we knocked that out. immediately. Uh, for the All-Star game, what is there a to bet on? And how. should we kind of be viewing that? >> It's hard. It's really, really hard. Like, especially cuz, you know, there's. a lot of pitchers who just pitched this.
weekend, so they're not available to go. now. Like Schler. Schlitler couldn't. can't go for what's his name? Schlitler. Cam Schlitler. >> We saw him in the conversation. He just. called him Schler. Uh, >> better than the other one. Schlitler. almost walked right in the main. concourse. By the way, nobody's gonna. talk about that. Yeah. He almost save. >> He He was like, "Where are the buses?" I. was like, "Not this way. >> Don't follow us." [laughter]. >> We He was Everybody's so cool. Literally, everybody's so cool, >> but like it's so hard to to like know. who's going tonight. Like, Ski can't go. for the NL tonight, but Chris Sanchez is.
going, who's been an absolute dog. Uh. Dylan C is getting the start for the AL. Like, pitching wise, I lean a little bit. to the NL, but it's hard to bet on. tonight. Ladies and gentlemen, joining. us now is the superstar from last night. that we watched. An absolute. DOG [screaming]. [sighs]. from Georgia. I'm looking at him right. now. Got a great chain on. Got some nice. sunglasses. He's got a new deal coming. And he's also got seven figures cuz his. bat got real hot. Ladies and gentlemen, out of St. Louis Cardinals home run. derby champion, Jordan Walker.
>> Congrats, man. That was awesome to. watch. I uh. >> I let off with talking about this cuz we. were there. You were a monster of a man. I I mean the baseball players are so. big. I I think we forget about that. Like Schwarbo 510 or whatever. Everybody. else monster. That was our first time. getting to see you live. You put on a. show. Everybody loved you and what you. did at the end of that thing. Ice cold, bro. Congratulations on that. >> Appreciate it, man. Thank you. >> And you know, big conversation now has.
been your salary verse what you won. going into that. And I I told the story. about me. I was a kicker and in high. school and I would put myself in a. position of like, all right, if I make. this kick, somebody's gonna walk up and. give me a million bucks if I like trying. to put a little pressure on myself going. into last night knowing that a million. dollars on the line and that you. certainly have the ability to do that. And I saw you make it rain too. immediately afterwards. What was the. thought? And when you get there and you. have to hit like six home runs with only. like three swings left, what is the.
mindset? What's the mentality? Can you. just take us back to last night in your. special night? >> Yeah, man. I mean, it was crazy in all. honesty, man. Uh, >> the stadium's packed. Everybody's. booing, you know what I mean? Like, but. I never doubted myself to be honest with. you. And Schwarber put on an unreal. performance. Um, in all honesty, I think. I kind of blacked out there and. [laughter] for real and just uh just. took my swings and, you know, did my. best, but it was definitely Schwarber. made it tough. >> Barry said it was the best home run. derby he's ever seen. I I mean I I.
honestly they they had the Barry Bonds. Magcguire one from 1996 running back. when it was in Philadelphia and it was. like empty park. It was in the middle of. the day. What the home run derby has. become is an absolute spectacle with the. new rules. Nobody knew what it was going. to be. It's on Netflix. It's like you're. a huge piece of that being a massively. successful night. You should take a lot. of pride in that obviously, but there's. a couple home runs where you risked like. it looked like you didn't even hit them. clean. And and by the way, I'm going to. follow you for the rest of your career. 24. You need. >> Yeah. I cannot wait to watch you play.
baseball going forward. But was there a. couple that like you thought weren't. going to go out that got out? Is there. like a couple early where you're like, "Oo, if that one's going out, this could. be a good night." Like, is there is. there a little bit of that early in the. evening where you start feeling good. about the way the ball's jumping off the. bat, or is that every night for you? And. I just need to understand that. [laughter]. >> No, no, you're definitely right about. the first one. Um, there's a there's a. couple I hit low that I was like, I. don't know. But, um, when they snuck out. of there, I was like, okay, I got a. chance. You know what I'm saying? and. let's keep this thing going. >> Okay, so everybody talked about the. amount of money that you get paid and I.
think your contract's up at Hey, >> good timing. Yeah, >> hell of a season right now. I was going. to say derby. Yes, but had a pretty good. first half, too. >> Yeah. And then we looked into your and. we looked in a little bit and we started. asking people at the Cardinals. They're. like, "Yeah, he's also going to be our. first like 30 guy that we've had. He's. like the fastest guy we have." And I'm. like, "He's [laughter] like 642. He's. like 6'10. I don't know how tall this. guy is." Uh, so obviously the future. very, very bright. We talked to Schwarbo. yesterday. We talked to Bryce Harper. yesterday. We talked to Skino yesterday. We talked to Miz. The way you all hold.
All-Star Week and Home Run Derby, I. think is special. I think it's very. sweet. I think a lot of other sports. wish they still had that. For you being. a part of the home run derby now being a. home run derby champion, does it feel as. if you are carrying on a tradition of. baseball of America's pastime whenever. you're in it? Why do you think you. baseball players have so much respect. for the spectacle that is All-Star break. in the home run derby still? I mean, honestly, for me personally, I mean, I've grown up living and breathing. baseball. That's my favorite sport, you.
know, growing up. My parents talk about. how I slept in my bat and my glove. Um, and I watched the home run derby when I. was growing up, too. I mean, All-Star. game, everything like that. It's been my. dream to do it. So, being a part of it, man, it was just special to me, you. know? I mean, I don't know if you can. truly explain how much you love the. game. Um, so I'm doing my best right. now, but being a part of that was. unreal. and especially against the. greats and future Hall of Famers um like. Harper and Schwarber as well. So, it's. super cool for that. >> Yeah, it feels like you're on your way. to that too as well, brother. Now, a lot. of has to happen. A lot of has.
to happen. Obviously, baseball is such a. failing sport. Like, you have to fail so. much in baseball. So, to become. successful, which is crazy. Talked to. the boys about that last night. Just the. amount of mental toughness that I don't. have to play that sport. I strike out in. the first inning. I got to go back a. third inning. [laughter]. >> I am still pissed. I I am still pissed. from that entire thing. So, we can't. wait to watch you do your thing. AJ Hawk. has a question for you, Jordan. >> Yeah, Jordan, I'm wondering like the. your prep as far as what you did getting. ready for this. Who did you talk to? You. don't have a whole lot of time obviously. being in the middle of the season. And. also your.
>> I guess your swagger slash like. comfortability. You were so comfortable. in the box. They talked about on the. broadcast a bunch just how comfortable. and calm you were. Was that something. that you had a plan going into? And. obviously you executed it very well. >> Most abs. I mean, absolutely. I mean, I. think you have to be. I mean, Philly is. I mean, they're brutal when you're away. team, but um you know, they love their. teams and and you know, you can't hate. that for sure. Um so, I knew it was. going to be tough going into it, especially, you know, up against a guy. like Schwarber. So, if I wanted to win, I had to be calm and I had the best hype.
man possible um with my teammates on the. sidelines, too. So, it's been it was. unreal. >> How was afterwards? You guys have a. terrible time? [laughter]. >> No, it was it was a pretty good night. That's all I'm GOING TO SAY. [laughter]. AND Debo has a question for you, Jordan. >> Yeah, Jordan, watching you obviously. with those ledgers after talking about. you, you know, putting on the best. performance, Barry Bond saying that to. your face. Who were some of those. players that you watched growing up that. you wanted to model your game after? You. talked about you eat, breathe, and slept. baseball. So, who were some of those.
players you wanted to be like uh when. you grew up? >> So, coming out of Atlanta, I was a third. baseman coming up. So, I wanted to be. like Chipper um. >> for a while. And then uh when Hayward. debuted um when I was I remember I was. sitting out in left field uh it was it. was unreal with that too. So then I was. like you know what I want to be like. him. So those are the two guys I. remember just watching growing up when I. was a kid. >> So Chipper is too white. You didn't want. to stick. [laughter]. I had a feeling you're going to say. something.
>> Uh Diggs has a question for you. Jordan. >> Yeah Jordan. Like the Cardinal story. this year. I'm a Pirates fan, so I. follow the NL Central closely. Like the. Pirates I know, I KNOW. [laughter]. >> HEY, THAT ASS. >> But hey, I'm I'm a JJ Weatherhold. He's. a Pittsburgh guy, so I'm following it. closely. Like you guys in the young. core, how awesome has that been this. season and then going into the second. half to carry that along? >> Yeah. I mean, JJ is a dog, honestly. I. mean, just a dog. He does everything the. right way. Honestly, if you talk about. composure, it's him. Um, so he sets the.
tone and, you know, we all get going. from there. Yeah, it's a West Virginia. Mountaineer, Jordan. You know the deal. Uh, [laughter] okay. So, baseball at. this stand uh stage, I'm not going to. ask you about You're 24, so you. shouldn't say anything about the uh CBA. negotiations cuz no offense, you don't. know about at this stage. [laughter]. >> But you said, not me, man. >> Yeah. Yeah. But also, it's not like you. to talk about that. But we're at such an. interesting like it feels like pivot. point for baseball as a whole.
>> Seemingly more pop like. >> Yes. I don't know what last night's. numbers are going to be, but like. everybody wanted to be there. Building. the sold out. Everybody's tuned in to. baseball. But then the conversation. immediately goes to, yeah, the Dodgers. though, the Dodgers. The Dodgers. Who's. going to beat the Dodgers? Who's going. to beat the Dodgers? How do you guys do. that with how long of a season is? When. do you want to get hot? And like when. you every team thinks we have enough to. win a World Series, is it? Because like. Joe Thomas of the Cleveland Browns, >> he said whenever he went into the Hall. of Fame in one of his interviews, he. said every season coming out of training.
camp, I thought we were going to win a. Super Bowl. Like that is what we had. They went 0 and6 I think twice while he. was there. He thought they were going to. win a Super Bowl. And I'm not saying you. guys are Cleveland Browns, but I'm. saying like every sport you have to have. an unrelenting. optimism about what your team is. >> You guys obviously have enough to go and. that is every team feels that way. or in. baseball, is there some teams that. understand the deal or don't understand. the deal, if that makes sense. >> I mean, I would hope so. Um, because I. mean, everybody I've met has been. unbelievably competitive. So, I mean,
that was our thought coming out of. spring training and I'm sure that's. pretty much every other team's thought. coming out of spring training. Um, I. feel like they wouldn't put the team on. the field if they didn't try their best. So, >> yeah. Especially the Cardinals. organization. So, legendary, but it it. does feel like there's a lot of. disrespect to a lot of teams. >> Oh, yeah. >> It's like, well, the Dodgers are going. to go and it's like, well, who else? Like, >> doesn't matter. It's like, well, I just watched the. cars. >> Yeah. Amen. [laughter] Well, the Pirates. about to get that ass, but. >> I I just watched a 24y old guy slap a. home run and they're telling me he's. going to have 30 steals as well. It's.
like they're not. It's like, well, Dodgers though. It's like, okay. And I. would like to get like I'm thankful for. you sharing your opinion on us cuz that. is how everybody talks about MLB from. the outside. I'm happy to hear that. It's like, nah, we're going Pirates. through last year. >> Yeah, we're competitive. >> Yeah. Everybody it the game season's so. long. Absolutely. >> So, I don't know how you guys like for. you for the home run derby, >> you change your swing like are you. worried about the swing because that. always the conversation for people that. do the home run like are you changing. your swing there or do you think that. affects you going down the road? Like.
how do you kind of deal with that. afterwards? >> Yeah, honestly I didn't want to think. about it too much. Um I wouldn't say. changing my swing. I just say I'm trying. to catch the ball a little bit more out. front. Um you know during the season I'm. usually trying to go center field, you. know, the big part of the field, but. home run derby, you got to hit home. runs. So maybe just catch the ball a. little bit more out front and don't. change too much. >> 20 swings. What was the Was there a hey, let's just make sure we get a good pitch. or when I get in a groove I'm going to. go cuz obviously we saw you do this one. here. You must have felt good. How much. were you thinking about that? >> Yeah, I mean I want to get a good pitch.
That's the main thing. Um but honestly. just trying not to get tired. That's. when I get killed. I mean I I started. you know I think I hit three like. grounders or line drives in a row. I got. killed. I was tired man. So I had to. slow that down and that was really the. goal. I wish you would have called ABS. on your guy. >> Yeah. [laughter]. >> KT was money yesterday. KT was money. He. was our guy. Yeah. >> Yeah. Huge deal to be the pitcher that. wins. You have to perform. I mean, you. really have to perform. Go ahead, Ty. >> Yeah. Jordan, we were you obviously. stole the show last night. We were down. on the field and I didn't see the. broadcast, but I saw afterwards like.
your parents kind of stole the show on. the broadcast. They kept, you know, uh, panning to them after you'd hit a homer. and they were going nuts with everyone. How special was it? because I feel like. that that probably isn't that common. where someone gets to win the Derby and. their parents are there in the crowd. watching them uh be able to do that. Like how special was that to have your. family there uh for such a massive. night? >> I mean, really special. Um but you know, I'm used to them being there for me. They come out whenever they can. You. know, my mom's a high school teacher, so.
it's tough um for her to come out, but I. mean, and she does. She shows out. My. grandma shows out. My dad obviously. shows out. And I love having them, you. know, with me every step of the way. So, it was real special. I can share that. moment with them. >> Backwards hat. Ken Griffy walk over with. his [laughter] with his camera. >> Kind of, you know, right. >> Did he come over and say, "Hey, pretty. good. Better win this thing.". [laughter]. >> Yeah. Stand up high with him. Absolutely. >> You look cool, though. I mean, the. backwards hat. >> Do you have chains on too? Do we have. chains at all?
>> Chains. Gift gifts for my family, friends, everything like that. So, you. know, I had to wear it with me. >> Do you wear it during games, too? You. got chains on during the game or no? >> Oh, yeah. Yeah, it's kind of my way of. keeping them with me while I play. >> All right, we'll send you over some fake. jewelry. [laughter]. You got. >> I'll wear it. >> Con actually, you're millionaire now. just strictly off of one night. So, it's. going to have to be something nice. Go. ahead, Con man. >> Yeah, Jordan, I also do believe uh you. know, especially with how you hit those. home runs to left field, you'd look. great in a Boston Red Sox uniform. [laughter] So, let's keep that in mind.
>> Just keep that in mind. You have to. comment on it. Keep that in mind. Um, but aside from that, growing up, you. said you slept with a bat and glove, you. know, love baseball. Did you play any. other sports? Cuz I mean, the guys told. me when you walked out to, you know, in. in and out of the dugout, you know, staying hot, they're like, "This guy's. the biggest dude we've ever seen in our. life." Like, yeah. Did Did any NFL or. sorry, football or, you know, basketball. coaches tell you like Yeah. Soccer? Probably not soccer, but [laughter]. forget about I did I did play soccer.
when I was real little, but uh it was. mainly baseball, basketball. Um, my high. school coach, football coach, trying to. get me on the team for the longest time. I was a little caught up with with. baseball and basketball at the time. Um, but yeah, if I wasn't a baseball player, I I'd for sure try to be a hooper. >> You still got a shot or no? >> No, it's a little broke right now, but. we'll get that [laughter] laugh soon. We'll get in the lab soon. We'll get it. right. >> Actually, I I I don't think you need to. touch your basketball ever, brother. I. feel like you're [laughter] figuring it. out right now. Congratulations on last. night. >> MLB has got to be very thankful for your.
performance last night. Baseball. obviously in the same. And uh the only. person who hated what? Schwarbo. probably. >> Philadelphia. >> Hell yeah. >> No, but I I think even Philadelphia. respect that. You walked into their. house and do that. >> Some of the fans back this guy and I. would assume that some of the John's. just like us like. >> that's one of the coldest things I've. seen. Oh yeah. Like that that is. >> actually cuz that stadium is known to be. what? Ridiculous. They're Philadelphia. fans.
>> Schwarbo is who they all wanted to win, right? War bomb. We need swore boat. Last year he gets into hit off which. almost happened again. >> and he had a great round going into it. >> 11 of 15. >> Yeah, exactly. >> Yeah. So, it's like you stepping into. that batter box with all of that, locking in and being able to handle your. business. Special, brother. I think you. got it all right. >> I appreciate it, man. >> Thank you for joining us. Enjoy yourself. over there. >> Appreciate it. I will. You know I will. I'll see you. >> You're the man. Ladies and gentlemen, Jordan Walker. >> Jordan.
>> July 13th, 2025. Jordan Walker played. his final game of rehab assignment for. DA Springfield Cardinals. Had a.526. 46 to you get it. July 13th, 2026, Jordan Walker won home run derby to cap. first half with 22 home runs, 74 RBI's. and an 887. What is that? That's on. >> on base plus slugging. So yeah, he he. was a first round pick like a a. cornerstone of what the Cardinals want. to do and he wasn't great last year and. he is just this year he has been so I.
mean he made himself last night. obviously was a big part of it but his. whole first half of the season like he's. he's going to make himself a lot of. money with the way he's played this. year. >> Everybody was happy for him. >> Yes. >> Like every allstar, not just the. Cardinals people was like obviously. everybody appreciated Schwarbo putting. on a show for the people. Everybody. loves Schwarbo. I don't think there's. anybody that doesn't like Schwarbo. either. But it was like watching a 24y. old in that moment showing up and even. the first round. >> like holy. >> Yeah, it was easy off the bat early. No. doubters. >> Even the the host, I can't remember his. name, but he said that like after his.
first uh home run, Jordan Walker's first. home run in the first round, he was. like, "Oh, that's that was easy. That. looked really easy is what he kind of. said over the stadium.". >> Huge man. >> Yeah. Massive. >> So on the way out, fist bump that that I. mean it was like a table that iPad. It. was Yeah, it was it was. >> probably about 66 play quarterback. >> How was it? Maybe. >> uh we didn't get a chance to talk to. Moon Shot Taka Morami. I I don't think. he was necessarily as happy. We were on. the other side. >> We were on the NL side. Yeah, >> but I. >> He signed with Jordan. >> after our show. Yeah.
>> Very cool. >> Big deal. >> Probably because of the I would assume. so. Yeah. >> Yeah, that was MJ's favorite. >> What a pool. I think he wrote it. >> MJ White Sox fan, right? >> Yeah. Play it for him. Play it for him. Yeah. >> So, >> probably. >> this is the most electric human we've. seen in a White Sox uniform. >> Let's go ahead and put some Jay's on his. feet. >> on his hand. He was dude, the baseball. people. And I think it's cuz they live. on the road. >> Yeah.
>> Yeah. >> And it's a very humbling sport, >> you know, cuz you're going to fail a. lot. >> They were all so cool. I mean, all of. them, you name it. Logan Webb came over, said, "What's up?" I mean, at one point. we had. >> what, the five best pitchers on earth. just sitting around us drinking. >> waters. >> Yeah. >> Yeah. Right. >> Pretty heavily. And then Dom, big Dom. comes over. You guys need chicken cutlet. or he keeps it moving. It was We were. treated way too nicely. But all the. baseball players also treated us far too. kind. Thank you so much to MLB for all.
of that, honestly. And Jordan Walker, everybody loved the show he put on last. night. And if you're in if you can get. to a home run derby, I would say you. should do it. like all the people that. were, you know, people are going to. complain about everything. I when we got out of there, I was. expecting to go to the phone and see. everybody say that was. >> this sucks or. >> Oh, really? No. >> Oh, other way around. >> I thought they were going to say this. was it. They fixed it. They figured out. what the home run derby is. Good for. them. The 20 swings, the guys, what an. electric night of sport. And then I get.
on there and it's like, yeah, don't show. the ball hitting the bat ever. you know, like there's a lot of like technical. things I think watching that people were. like, "What are you doing?" But. obviously Netflix first time doing all. these things. They'll only continue. We'll assume they'll only continue to. get better. But it did feel like. everybody enjoyed what it was. And I. think it's only going to get better. going forward as we go ahead here. >> I agree. And we we talked about it. leading up in, you know, the like before. it started on the show yesterday. Like. the field was great and it was the the. hope was that, hey, hopefully these guys.
just put on a great show tonight and. they did. But that that is also one of. those things where now after having been. there two years in a row like it is a. live event like I understand it a lot. more. I obviously watched it all the. time growing up but it's just it's much. different when you are there live. It's. it's impossible not to have a good time. >> Almost every guy put on a show like even. like Jack Hagle I think he hit like. eight but he put one almost out of the. stadium up on the third deck. Like. everyone put on a show. >> Were you on TV last night? >> I was on TV last night. What? Made TV. >> Wow.
>> Yeah. Good job. >> Right here I believe. right here. >> Right after this one, >> the second one he hits. Tone and boys. are up there in the uh Surfside. Uh. >> yeah, I was drinking Tall Boy Surf. Sides. >> I'll tell you yesterday there's Pause. right there, Foxy. So down in the lower. right corner, that's the other contrar. >> Yeah. Yes. >> Okay. They're from Venezuela. >> They're dogs. >> Okay. They World Baseball Classic. >> Mhm. >> eyeballed me. >> Okay. And immediately started tripping. me before World Baseball Classic even. starts. So then Ponche starts and it.
starts going how it's going. Contraus. brothers from dugout looking at me in. crowd talking So this is my first. time getting to see them in real life. They are an incredible I mean. >> the baseball culture. >> it's the best. >> The lads are awesome. Walk up to him. first time like seeing him and meeting. him in real life and he just immediately. starts going ponche in my face. Yeah. dude that is exactly it. Then his. brother hits another dong. This guy hit. absolute good play foxy hits absolute. monsters. This one hits a guy in the. face and Gumpy and Diggs are standing.
right behind the guy. >> and. >> pause. >> Pause. >> Right there. Gumpy with the white hat. >> White hat. Keep playing. Keep playing. it. >> Okay. >> I turned around. I said that just got. hit. >> Oh, I missed it. That guy's face said is. Ty Digs on the screen. [laughter]. >> And that was the home run that uh cashed. the over for 44 and a half. >> Yeah. 490. >> Is that what you're pointing at? Like. >> I said I said that ball guy just got hit. right in the head with that ball. >> And I do believe Gumpy got that on. camera. the guy get hit in the face. Didn't want to post it strictly cuz guy. did get hit directly in the face. I.
don't think the Geico gloves gave. anybody. No, they actually looked they. actually worked out there. >> Okay, that's good. I'm happy to hear. that. Geico's got to figure it out. Dude, >> is that mayhem? >> Uh, I believe so. >> Um, good question. >> The frog. >> Progressive. >> No, it's not progressive. That's flow. I. think it is. >> the gecko. Got it. Well, >> in the cave in the cave, man. Right. They were the caveman state. All is it. all State. >> All States mayhem. >> Hey insurance, we appreciate you guys. being.
>> That's right. Shout out. [laughter]. We got it. >> Joining us now, ladies and gentlemen, is. the uh the man who knows everybody in. this city. >> He'll just go there. Yeah. >> Okay. >> Uh you should mute that while you take. that off your head right now. >> Yeah. >> You got Okay. >> Yeah. [laughter] Okay. >> Yep. >> Smooth. >> That was great. I thought you did a. great job right there. >> You're pressuring the mute. Yeah. Okay. [laughter]. >> Is there a party going on behind us?
>> The lounge. That's what we're talking. about. Ladies and gentlemen, joining us. now is a man who always brings the. party. He's a Emmy award winner, an. absolute stallion, mayor of New York, and I believe I'm not breaking the news. There's big news coming out of this. guy's life soon. Ladies and gentlemen, Peter Shreger. [cheering]. >> Peter. at the ESB party. >> Nobles. Hey, Tom Brady gave him this. >> Wow. >> Ty, can you hit the uh. >> the white party? >> Thank you. Yeah. Yeah. >> Oh, was he? Probably. That's.
>> You got to get the wire out from. underneath the uh No, the microphone. >> Yeah, right here. This one right here. >> It's It needs to go underneath your. microphone. >> Yeah. So, here go like this. And no, let's let's go like this. >> Yep. >> There we go. There we go. >> That's a Winner right there. That's how. you adjust. >> Still muting. >> Ladies and gentlemen, PETER STRADER. TGO, HOW YOU DOING, PAL? >> I'M doing amazing. I am so happy to be. with you guys. Cool part of the summer. You guys brought it yesterday. Brought. it last night. Um I want all your.
stories from the wedding. I want all. your stories from the golf. [laughter] I. want I mean I just I am just a sponge. for all of it. I miss you guys. It's so. good to be here. >> Okay, we miss you too. We appreciate you. stopping by over here. Obviously to come. to New York City, got to hit you up. That's that's how everybody feels that. comes to this city. Uh we certainly feel. that way. Espie's here. Celebrating. sport is a special thing. Let's dive. into some football stuff. Sheeper said. it feels like Aaron Donald's probably. playing football this year. That is. awesome for all of us. That's certainly. awesome for the Rams. You obviously. flying coach into the Rams facility.
What is their conversation around it? Cuz whenever we talked to Sneeed, Sneeed. told me, he was like, "Hey, why don't. you start texting Aaron like, "Yeah, time to come back. Time to come back.". Feels like they are definitely in the. Aaron Donald business, but they don't. want to be too over. Like, how do you. think they're kind of handling it? >> Great way to put it. Um, I think it. starts with the player. And Pat, you. would know him better than I do, but. Aaron Donald is not gonna come back as. some 30 cent on the dollar version of. Aaron Donald. He wants to be ready. That's why that workout was going on. He. wants to be fully where he was when he.
retired two years ago. He wants to be. the best version of himself. When I tell. you they haven't even discussed money. yet. So that's the secondary part of. this. The first part is does Aaron. Donald want to come back? Is he prepared. to come back? Is he ready to come back? The Rams would welcome him with open. arms obviously if the numbers worked. out. But this is not going to be one of. those deals where it's like week two, week three, week four. No, no, no. He. wants to go the full season if he comes. back and he wants to be at his best. version of himself. So that's why these. workouts are happening. I think he's. figuring it out himself. Training camp.
starts in a week. I would imagine we. would have more information by then. >> Okay. So if he comes back, I mean, I saw. words floating and people in Pittsburgh. aren't going to love this, but like. steel curtsy. iconic defense potentially. Now, you. said the money hasn't been figured out, but Aaron Donald, I don't want to talk. for Aaron Donald or negotiate for Aaron. Donald, but like feels like that's. probably an easy thing to figure out at. this stage. Two years removed, this. would be considered bonus money, but. he's still Aaron Donald, so you have to. pay him. I think there is a number that.
they can both easily get to with. incentives based. Chef said yesterday, and I disagreed with him on this, but he. has more information than I do. He said, "This is a push shut up for Aaron. He. only has to play 10 to 15 snaps." Like, I don't think that's what Aaron Donald. would ever want to do. I don't think. that's what he would want to do. So, I. don't know if Sheffer is just thinking. like, hey, this is like an easier game. plan for Aaron Donno, but you just. mentioned it there. >> He wants to be back as Aaron Donno, >> especially if he gets a chance to play. alongside what they're able to do is. histo I think Aaron understands and.
Miles probably understands and everybody. in LA understands like, >> hey, Super Bowl's here. We have a chance. to do something that is like legendary. and historic. Now, obviously, they have. to go out on the field to prove it, but. that roster all of a sudden becomes the. Avengers if this actually happens. And. uh it's a mature group, too. It's like a. group that wants to win. So, it's an. interesting dynamic. >> mix of guys who have one and haven't. Remember, Dvonte Adams has been to five. NFC Championship games, has never played. in a Super Bowl. Like, do we get one for. Devonte this year? You know, you go. through these different veterans on the. lineup and okay, we now also have Trent.
McDuffy who's got Super Bowl rings and. that experience. We of course have. Matthew Stafford and we have all these. other guys who are from the original. team that won it four or five years ago, but I I wouldn't say the snap count. I. don't think Adam's that far off. I would. think more than that. I would think you. get him, you know, 20 to 25, whatever it. is. If he comes back, >> I bet he will decide that. I I I. >> maybe early on, maybe early in the. season, strength, don't you think? >> Yeah, I think he's doing I think he and. he's in the middle, too. Like that that. is on the outside. You can rotate guys. I think it's a lot easier to rotate guys. on the outside. He plays in the middle.
I I don't know if it's just. >> How many snaps uh per side normally? He's like 50. >> What do you Oh, 60. Yeah, between 55 and 70 maybe a. game. Yeah, I think he's got to be 35. plus you would to be in rhythm to play. like you want to. >> season you build towards that right like. he hasn't played I don't think so I. think completely off I think out of the. game 60 snaps let's. >> if he goes to camp yeah yeah I think. he's playing. >> if he's doing his workout now this is to. see if he's ready for camp I think.
>> and that's what it is it it's he wants. to make sure he's his best version he's. not he doesn't want to come back and I. don't want to name an athlete that came. back in a different jersey or whatever. that you're Michael Jordan, >> whatever. If you want to say Jordan as. the Wizards, who I think maybe we. revision his history, not so terrible. the first year with the Wizards Allar, whatever it is. Yeah. >> He'll average like 20. >> I think he dropped 50, right? Yeah. >> But he doesn't want to be a lesser. version of himself. He's too good of a. competitor. He's already won all the. awards and has the Super Bowl ring. So, he doesn't need to do this just to do. it. He wants to be the most dominant. defensive tackle in the league. And.
there's a chance he can be if he's in. shape. And all those workout videos are. different than playing shape, as you. know. >> Okay. So, five of the last nine. defensive player of the years would be. on that roster for Arizona. [laughter]. >> They have an issue though with the. money. I'll say this, you know, when. they brought in Miles Garrett and they. restructured his deal and they obviously. have all these other pieces, the Jaylen. Watsons, the Trent McDuffy's, there are. a couple young guys on that team and. whether it be Kobe Turner or whether it. be uh Puka Dua, these guys, they're like. they're waiting their turn for their.
payday. And I don't think. >> Aaron Donald is going to be the one to. say, you know what, >> I don't want to say I don't want I need. 40 million for the year. I don't think. it's going to be that budget for. everyone. It would be incentives based. and it would also be I'm not ruining it. for those young guys. They're next in. line. I get it, but I need something. >> And we would like to clearly say this is. not coming from Aaron Donald that we are. saying this. We are just assuming. >> and I and Aaron Donald's agents have. been some of the most um savvy. negotiators over the year. Remember. holdouts year after year and then. getting his money and then surpassing. expectations then getting more. So, I.
don't think it's necessarily going to be. one of these where it's, you know, 1. year, 3 million. I'm just happy to be. here. No, no, he's going to get paid. something and there's going to be. incentives, I'm sure. >> Shri, would you be shocked if Aaron. Donald doesn't play this year for the. Rams? >> Shatter kind of said that. >> Yeah, >> shocked is a big I would say the Rams, [laughter] right? >> Thank you for doing that. >> Thank you. I I would be surprised if we. don't see Aaron Donald as an LA Ram, but. that doesn't come from Donald's side.
That's because the Rams are so they're. like, "Yes, like of course the head. coach and everybody else. That's where. that's where it comes from. >> That's it." They love him and they love. him as a player and a person and they. would love this in the chapter with. that. So, I don't know. It'd be on his. decision. >> Debot has a question for you, Shre. I. want I know you've been to SP. >> Is this a Patrick question? >> No, this is Deb question. I'm staying my. This is softball. Boom. You've been to. SBS a ton of times. a great story. >> Wow. >> Never have been to the [screaming] what?
>> On purpose. Long time Fox employee, long. time NFL network employee. >> ESPN wouldn't even know me if back in. the day I walked into that red carpet. I. got invited. I'm going to go. I can't. wait. I'm excited. >> What are you looking forward to? Who are. you most? >> My favorite SP moment was the Nor. McDonald monologue from many years ago. where he actually blistered everybody in. the crowd and it was an absolute roast. And I It's been 20 years. Marcelo from. Saturday Night Live. Funny guy. I am. curious to see what kind of jokes we. get. I always like the monologue. I love.
Pat McAfei's monologue a couple years. ago. I thought that was good. I took. some shots. I like I like. >> There was one The boys know that there. was a f There was a closer that did that. got left in the chamber. >> Was there one? Was there a cutting room. floor? >> Who was it about? >> First time in uh sports as a whole. First time in my life. >> You didn't say something. >> I kept one in the chamber. Can I Can I. get the. >> It was 2021. When was it? It was 2020. >> It was during the writer strike. I don't. remember that. >> Okay. Can I get the subject? >> No. [laughter]. >> No, you cannot. It was good though.
I thought you danced the line yesterday. talking about that wedding. I didn't. sign an NDA. I wasn't invited. I can. sing like a canary. I have no details. You were great. You didn't say anything. >> I didn't sign an NDA either. So, but I. think I did agree to something. So, like. I had to go back and look. And to be. clear, >> you were great yesterday. You walked. that line. You didn't say a word. If. they give me [laughter] a cease and. desist, that would be so gangster. That. in from my understanding, from what I. learned, from what I learned at that. wedding,
>> that is a gangster group over there. And. they are so good. I watched that. documentary on Taylor. Okay. My wife had. me watch it. >> I've seen it. >> She is a workhorse. She is a genius. She. has like no attention left, no detail. left, unattended like by her. Like I. have massive respect for the way she. goes about doing what she does. Okay. She's obviously um got into some. political stuff because she's the. biggest star on earth and that's. certainly something I think she has felt. called to do. So people are going to. hate her for that. That was a part of. the documentary, the behind the scenes.
of her deciding to do a political thing. and she understood the ramifications of. it and people are going to hold that. against her, >> but she's a special talent, but the team. around her also is like. >> an apparatus. Can I can I ask a couple. questions and feel free to say nothing. Who won the dance floor? Who was like. the person you said Mahomes on the dance. floor? Or was there anyone? I don't. think this is spilling. You can also say. nothing. I'm just fascinating. I love a. wedding. I love a party. I would like to. know who surprised you. >> I would say the Kansas City Chiefs. football team was on the dance floor. It. felt like a decision was made.
>> by the Chiefs locker room that was like, "Hey, we're going to we're going to be. on the dance floor." And I don't know if. that was like Travis being like, "Hey, let's. >> I need you guys. >> Wait, let's let's let people know." Andy. Reed was not on the dance floor when I. saw him, but he was looking at the dance. floor. >> He Everybody had a [laughter] Now, here's a little inside detail that we. go. Let's open. >> Nobody Nobody will really uh believe. this. My tux. >> Yeah. >> AMAZON. >> NO, I believe [laughter].
six days got. >> Was there a trial? >> Amazon. Yeah, there was a uh Taylor. doing that. >> [laughter]. >> So, I got a new update. Okay. So, they. were rolling out updates on this. wedding. >> Okay. >> Okay. Like everybody on the internet was. saying it's going to be at Baz Square. Garden. >> Yeah. >> I I was not TOLD THAT THAT LIKE I I I. thought it was a big rude rude. [laughter] Don't say that. >> I I thought that was like because they. were sending emails and then.
>> like I I would get I might have been the. last person to respond to be honest cuz. I thought I was getting scammed. So. random number text me. >> mark as known [laughter]. >> random number text me and says like hey. we are so pumped to tell you that we. have some details for the events you're. going to and then a link and I'm like. yeah right I just got done with a McAfee. deal. >> and they're like this is the easiest way. to scam so I delete the messages. [laughter]. I delete the message I don't even I. don't even. >> don't even respond. >> don't even think about it I just delete.
it like uh my number must have got into. another thing sweet Week later, another. text comes through. Same same situation. >> You're thinking Ponzi scheme scammer. I. think I'm getting fished. I think I'm. hitting that thing because there's no. reason what they were saying in that. text message I should be getting that. I. thought to myself, delete it again. [laughter]. >> Delete it again. I don't I think I even. told the boys. I'm like, they're trying. to get me with you right before the day. before the wedding. >> Yeah, I I thought I was getting it. So, >> I was asking him questions about where. it's at and he's like, you know what? I. should probably click this. >> Click on this link. The link is so.
horrifying. >> No, so that's later link, please. I was. already in it. The the first I think I. might have been the last person to. respond. Actually, Travis had to text me. and say like, "Hey, >> you coming? >> This is This is a real text." I'm like, >> "What an honor." That's what I SAID. [laughter] THANK YOU SO MUCH, DUDE. I. did not think that was going. >> So, then I clicked the thing and clearly. Yeah. >> Is it like a paperless post like. >> No. Yeah. It was awesome. And it had my. name across it all. So, if you like. screenshot, obviously. It was like very. Everything was. >> Oh, I'm sure it was. >> so well done. And remember, Taylor's.
like the queen of Easter eggs, you know, and like the entire thing. So once I got. in there, I was like really excited. I'm. like, "Okay, now I'm a part of like. Taylor's game here now. Now we're like. in this thing." But they weren't giving. away any information. >> I picturing you like True Detective with. like the board like [laughter] all the. different. >> So they g they gave the date. I never. told, right? I would like that to be on. the record. I never said a word about. the date even to the guys cuz I thought. maybe my phone was miked up. I I did not. know like after hitting that thing. did. not say anything, but I did not know. where it was until like day before they.
send a thing. They're like, "Hey, this. is it. This is the time. This is when. you do it." It was like, "Okay, so that. is what it is." And we even I even kept. it shut down. Like, >> how did you handle no phones? >> Um, >> was it liberating in a little bit of a. way like. >> Yeah, it was incredible for me. We did. Augusta this year, so that was And it. sounds so stupid for me to say, >> precursor. >> I was at the Masters. >> No, it doesn't. But that's the only. other place that I've ever heard like a. Chappelle a Chappelle concert. I almost. left the Masters. Foxy will tell you. Foxy push push came to shove the.
morning. They're like, "All right, put. your phone in your room and then you'll. get in a sprinter van and then I'll. drive you in there." And I put my phone. in my room at Augusta. And I walked out. and I turned back. I was like, "I got to. get one last check. Let me [laughter]. see what's going on here." And then I. walked out into like the living room. area we're staying in. And I'm like, >> "I'm not going. >> I'm not going. I'm going to I'm going to. send my phone instead. >> I'm going to stay here. [laughter] I'm. going to stay here. I'm saying right. here and it was like a real moment like, "Are you that connected to your phone?". Yeah. >> And I was like, "Yeah, I am." And then I.
put it down and then we got into a. Sprinter van that had blacked out. windows. >> Do you remember that, Foxy? >> Oh, yeah. 100%. >> I thought I was getting kidnapped. >> That was the most genuine anxiety I've. ever seen you have in the years I've. been with you. And I'm thinking, "This. is a dream come true for me. I'm going. to the Masters for the first time ever. I might only be there for 5 minutes. We're turning around and get Pat's. [laughter] phone." Exactly. >> But we had a great time. It was awesome. I am very much uh not very prepared for. a lot of things. I would just like to. enjoy the thing that we're at. Like. Carmon Derby last night, if you watched. our stream, we had no idea how to get.
there. We had no idea where we were. standing, but we're just going to enjoy. this thing. >> I like to go into things like that. I. know there's a lot of people that like. to have all the information. I like to. just kind of live. Like, let's. just enjoy this thing. Have to have my. phone though. >> This is my life. Like literally my job. I have to know what's going on and. everything. >> So, I think that with how much fun I had. at that. >> was like a good. >> Yeah. going into that. And then when you. walk in there, you're just like, >> Brett V is one of the first people to. talk to me. And he's like, I'm so happy.
you're [laughter] here. I'm like, me. too, dude. Good to see you. And then you. got, you know, just the. >> You mentioned yesterday, I'm not giving. anything. You mentioned a Brad Pitt. interaction that he bought you a drink. >> No, didn't buy drink. [laughter]. >> I'M REVEALING MYSELF A LITTLE bit from. Jersey. [laughter] This is it. >> But anyways, it was awesome. Just know. it was awesome. It was spectacular. >> Was there a Was there a person of that. caliber besides Brad Pit maybe that you. had like a really deep. >> Michael Block. >> impact impactful conversation? >> Yeah, Blocky stole the show after.
>> where afterwards. >> you said [laughter] you did the worm on. the dance while you left. Yeah, >> Blocky was hear. >> I did talk to Dean Blandino. >> I got to see Dean Bllandino. >> Dean went viral afterwards. >> So did Isaac. I was very happy that they. were there cuz I thought me and my wife. were certainly going to be the ones that. were like, "Why are these two here when. everybody else isn't?" But from my. understanding, from the conversations. that I had, I think they felt they were. like groups. and like if there was direct in groups, but they probably weren't going to. invite them. Like they just wanted to.
make like easy on the people that were. invite like, "Hey, we'll invite your. entire we invite. >> Burkheart, Brady, Aaron, Dean.". >> Yeah. Boom. And then like there's the. Monday night countdown crew there. Like. it felt like everybody had a group. >> Jason, Ryan, all those guys were like, "We're here." Everybody had a group. >> except for me and my wife. [laughter]. So that is So we got a chance to like. bounce around and like see. >> I have to think though knowing how like. Bradley Cooper gravitated towards you. and all like there had to be a cool.
moment for you to have these people. acknowledge you and that they are. watching the show and that they are. >> Yeah. I mean that's why I think I. thought it was the greatest night about. [laughter]. Yeah. Chris Rock knew my name. Sandman. goes, "Oh, McAfee, I watch it." It's. like Yeah. It was awesome. I I would. just like to go on the record yet again. and say it was. >> And did your wife have a blast? >> Yeah, we had an absolute blast. >> I thought you guys were waiting in lines. the whole time. >> That's what I read. Buffet food. >> This guy. >> What's that all about? >> Eating buffet food. It's nou. It was. nou. Yeah, we did. We did stand.
behind two people [laughter] and waiting. to get noo. >> Paul McCartney. Yeah. >> Raffle tickets or something. >> First time since 1960. >> I saw that. I didn't know that. >> I didn't know that in real [laughter]. time. I was singing it. I was singing. it. >> Good stat, right? >> Like Paul, hell yeah, dude. We're here. >> Hebo was on that one. First time since '. 64. Boom. >> I guess yesterday me saying that Avil. Lavine played uh Skater Boy was the. first time that it came out. >> Been revealed. >> Yeah. But she was awesome. And uh to be. clear, those musicians really cool. Like.
one would just call out the other. >> and then they would come up and then. they would just do their you know? And it was like some of them I didn't. know their songs. Like Ice Spice was. there. Obviously she's very tight with. Taylor. I didn't know her song. I didn't. know it, but I would like say she put on. good. She a lot of energy. A lot of. energy up there. >> From New York City this summer. Knicks. Taylor Swift wedding. How about the. Jay-Z concert over the weekend? >> Three of them, right? Three or four of. them. LeBron's there.
>> LeBron was there. >> You said it was a nightmare. >> Yeah. They said like [laughter] last. night at Yankee Stadium like people were. just like standing in there waiting. didn't go on until like late. >> Yeah. But I heard Jay-Z came out and. said he wanted everybody to be make sure. they were safe getting in. >> Then he brought out Rihanna and Beyonce. together. [clears throat] I think. >> her Jeez came. He canceled his show in. Vegas. Flew out. who you know. Hard to get a billionaire. on the stage before Eminem. >> Nas performed with Jay-Z, which was. major in New York. >> God, look at you doing it in New York, bro. New York's really doing it. And.
then for the SBS, obviously, we hope. that this is a good show uh show. celebrating sports and not what it. sometimes is. >> Sure. Sure. >> And we're right in the belly of the. beast here. And I hope they do hear me. Let's make sure we're celebrating sports. here. That's the purpose of the ESPs. >> as opposed to what? >> Just That was a Dan [laughter]. Patrick question, AJ. >> I am. I'm genuinely kind of curious. though. Like. >> you know what I'm talking about. So I. don't need you to ask for further. [laughter] details. You know what I'm. talking about. >> And then the World Cup finals Monday or. Sunday here. >> Yeah. >> Yeah. It's not going to be America. We. got a big game today. Shrekes. Are you.
going to watch game with Are you going. to work today or what are you doing? >> I'm going to be watching France. Spain. >> We're going to some dive bar that Bruce. got blacked out drunk with the owner. Yeah, guys named Shane Croton House. Great spot. [laughter]. >> Don't say that. >> Why is he saying. that's deep? >> Foxy, please show the video of him. walking out of that bar again, please. Just so everybody can understand what he. just said is not the truth. >> Is this an absolute sitter? >> Ladies and gentlemen, this man at 3:45.
cannot be trusted. >> SHLESS. [laughter]. At least that restaurant had an A grade. >> That Hey, to be clear, Orin, >> yeah, >> the Irish lady who's the bartender. That's either Morin or Norin. Still. don't know. Orin, she was awesome. >> She might have been the best bartender. I've ever seen dealing with somebody. like Bruce. >> Oh my god. Shirtless. >> Yeah, she got married over the break and. then comes back here shirtless. >> Hey, the 27-day wedding in Croatia, comes over here. Does it again. She. poured him a water and just like slid it.
to him. >> She knew. Yeah, she is. That place was. awesome. I I don't know the name of that. place, but I assume we will be there. again. It's way too close to where we. are staying, but. >> we've had a blast. Uh, anything We got. 30 seconds before the heart out here. Anything we need to know about the. football world that you know in your. brain that we've not asked you about? Any Dan Patrick questions we should have. asked? >> No. Uh, Seahawks new ownership I think. is pretty interesting. They sold that. team. So, you're going to have a. minority owner from the 49ers who takes. over the Seahawks who's. multi-billionaire. Obviously, that's a. story line. And then we get into this.
season and it's just anybody's game. after last year with the Patriots and. Seahawks. I cannot wait. >> You're the man. We hope you'll hang out. with us. We'll be back on the other. side. Be a friend. Tell a friend. something nice. It might change their. life. Take three. [music]. >> You know what? I think there's only one. thing left to do here. I've experienced. cafesito time. I've experienced the. wonderful culture. I've experienced the. beautiful people. AND I THINK WE GOT. SOME CANES OVER HERE. WE GOT SOME CANES OVER HERE. [laughter].
WE GOT SOME CANES OVER HERE. >> This day in Coral Gables IS GOING TO BE. ONE THAT I WILL REMEMBER FOR THE REST OF. MY LIFE. RAY LEWIS STARTED HIS DANCE. RIGHT HERE AT MIAMI. ED REED STARTED HIS. LEGENDARY RUN HERE AT MIAMI. THE LEGENDS OF FOOTBALL RUN DEEP. THE. MOMENTS ARE SPECIAL. THE NATIONAL.

F had to go fetch a Gingi. >> Jeez, Tony. >> Foss obviously uh working as a barback. as well as a man who has to set. everything up and book people as he hops. out of the way. Superstars filing in for. the SPS. Obviously the annual. celebration of the sports world. We hope. we hope that it'll continue to be that. celebrating sports. >> 34th year. >> Yeah. And I think there's probably. really good ones in there somewhere and. then it kind of took a turn for a while. and then hopefully we're back to being. awesome and uh we are certainly pumped.

Where is he? >> Right there on the left. >> Yeah, I appreciate him doing that. We. There's Fist. Uh, having a good combo. >> Is that Nick? >> He was rolling around there earlier. It. was all. >> Who runs New York though? Bruce for. shriggs. >> What's that? >> Who runs New York? You know, Bruce is.
like the king [laughter] of New York. Bruce is the prince to his prom. >> I don't think Bruce would agree with. that. I I think. >> Bruce Bruce might challenge that. >> Yeah, I think Bruce think the other way. But Bruce also has uh all of Croatia. now. So. >> that is true. >> Kind He was speaking Croatian last night. to the Irish uh bartender. She didn't. understand a word he was saying. And. once again, this was him exiting the bar. uh last night. Bruce Brown, welcome back. to New York. He's a married man now, ladies. He's a married man. >> And we know that his wife is certainly. pumped to see that right there. And. >> thank you, Tony.
>> We know last night was certainly. special. Bruce, thank you for uh coming. back to the city in such a big way. Yasamravat. >> You know the difference between Serbian. and Croatian is uh. >> Serbian uses the Russian alphabet. Croatia uses our alphabet. >> Same language, different alphabets. I. think that was him trying to sell me. towards the Croatians over the Serbs cuz. I think he's already inserted himself in. a potential thousand-y year war, whatever. >> But I appreciate that he did that. I. learn I've learned a lot about Croatia. It is a place that I will certainly want.
to get to. 17 hours to get there. Uh, so. we kind of all opted out of taking a. private plane to his wedding, but we are. at some point going to have to go over. with the king of Croatia, Bruce Brown, >> next year. >> We'll push that. >> Gorgeous. >> We'd like to let the people of Croatia. know that Bruce Brown has come back and. said terrible things about all you guys. >> Oh, come on. Never. [laughter]. >> Never. >> He loves that. He would move to Croatia. >> I mean, it looks amazing. >> Some of the stuff even that he just. posted from it was I mean, they're on a. pirate ship. They're on the Black Pearl. from Pirates of the Caribbean. You you.
could see why you'd want to be there for. 35 days without a doubt. >> Exactly. >> Yeah, >> we could definitely see that. Uh I see. your. >> ladies and gentlemen, one half of the. hammer. >> Cowboys say peace. >> Is AJ giving a toast to. >> I'm not giving a toast, but yeah. >> Doing like a Yeah. >> AJ. boys to the boom. [laughter]. >> Celebrating sports. >> There's old chips, there's new chips, there's red chips, there's blue chips, but there's no chips like friendships. I. don't know if you said that right, but.
>> said tone. >> I'm thinking. >> better than Bruce did. >> I think you I think you maybe they're. all in there. I just don't know if they. were in the proper order. >> Cheers to the breezes that blow us. through the trees. >> Nice. >> I don't know if we can do that. Cheers. [laughter] to the real invader here. Obviously, Shre's still here. >> He just found. Give yourself a Hummer. Did you guys. give him a Hummer? Thank you for doing. that. >> Whoa, you got. >> I can't wait to get a Hummer later. >> Yeah. >> Jeez Louise. [laughter] Where you going? >> Always a good day to get a Hummer. I'll.
tell you as a guy who has has got one. >> You guys, >> I will say no doubt. >> Hey, do you do you know much about the. vehicle? >> The crab walk. >> Yeah, the crab walk feature. >> Nobody uses it. >> Pat does every use it though. I guess. when if you were stuck on the beach, if. you're stuck in a hole, >> if you're driving if you're in a city, you would use it cuz you can get. >> like instead of parallel. >> Yeah. So you can move like out of. things, but obviously nobody's driving. >> Have you ever tried it though once? Can't you like scale up the side of a. mountain doing that? >> Yep. >> Yeah, but if it rains, it's going to. rain inside.
>> Turn it sideways. >> Is there a reason why it rains inside of. [laughter] my my Hummer? >> This guy don't know. >> Yeah, right. That guy's the giving away. [laughter] now. Those bags are giving. away. Looks like. >> I'll tell you, it's all glass roof. >> So, you can't like there's nothing to. There's no shade. >> You latch some sort of seal that. >> and my seals just don't work. So, >> you need a flex seal. So if it ran rest. in peace I had a lot of rest in place. >> Yeah the guy did. >> what. >> I think you're taking.
[laughter] Billy. clean. >> Yeah Billy Mays is he miss you Billy. >> This guy is kind of a knockoff Billy. Maze but. >> he's very good. >> He's not I saw guys too. >> I know. >> the bottom of the boat is a screen door. >> What I'm saying is the ceiling of these. things is a screen door. Okay. The sun. gets in, the water gets in. Yeah, I. would need Flex Seal like that guy. But. I would recommend that car. >> There's a Flex Seal stand actually back. here for everyone to just stop by,
sprayed it down his throat. [laughter]. >> Joining us now, ladies and gentlemen, he's in a different country, but boy, I. think he's still going to be bringing. it. The British Open's happening this. week. >> Yes. 154th Open Championship. >> and it is at the Royal. >> Royal Burkale. >> Okay. Obviously Wimbledon straight in. the Royal Burkale here. The only man. that could give us what is actually. happening, boots on the ground, is a. damn good dog. Ladies and gentlemen, the. most prolific writer that ESPN has stats. say that. Yeah. >> MARKBALL.
>> INTERNATIONAL. [laughter]. >> All right. Uh, International Schlaw, we. assume we'll still have the same heat, but who knows? Uh, >> hey, tell me a little bit about what we. need to know about the Open. And I'm. going to be honest, we were off for two. weeks. There's a lot of things we. missed. I had no idea Patty the Batty. was fighting in that uh International. Fight Week card before Connor. I had no. idea we had another major this close and. obviously. >> we were we're friends with John Daly. So. we understand the the significance of.
winning one of these for your career. We. understand how big this is and obviously. we appreciate this tournament. Vastly. different style of golf every single. year in this particular one. What should. we be thinking as we look ahead to this? And we certainly knew this was going to. happen. So you're telling everybody else. stuff that we don't need. We already. know. >> Yeah. I mean, it it it's hot as hell. over here. It's dry. It's fast. It's. firm. Uh, even the bunkers look thirsty. this week. Um, John Rom talked about. unprecedented conditions. >> It's supposed to be hot until the. weekend. No rain in the forecast. Rom.
said it today. You could hit a you could. hit a sixiron 280 yards. Pat, I'm not. sure I could hit a driver that far these. days. >> Why? Just cuz it's running or because. it's hot like. >> It's running. It's hot. It's It's just. firm. It's fast. It's brown. Um, you. know, and it it's going to get it's. going to get firmer and firmer. I mean, it's only Tuesday. I've never seen. >> an open course, a Lynx course this. brown. Scotty Sch said the ball is going. to roll forever. Um, you know, Rory. called it a a double-edged sword because. even the the rough, the lush rough and.
the and the heavy rough that's usually. penal might not be so penal cuz it's. it's dying as we speak. >> Okay. So, the rough is dying. It's. already brown. It's Tuesday, I believe. You told us earlier it's going to be. purple by this weekend. Wind also. normally a big conversation in these. Is. that still going to be a factor or is. the heat kind of killing the wind? >> No. No. The the wind's still blowing off. the uh the Irish coast. If you're a. gambling man and you want a first round. leader, maybe take a guy in the Thursday. morning wave.
>> before the winds whip up. Uh, I walked. the seventh hole with Harris English, damn good dog, this afternoon. And and. that's the most exposed par three on the. course and and it and it was blowing. hard. But, um, yeah, it's it's hot, Pat. And they don't have air conditioning. here. And I I finally figured out why. the Axis powers never invaded England. because there was no [laughter] AC. >> They had a 200 year they've had a 200. year head start. >> and they can't figure it out over there. still. >> They can't figure it out. Well, I mean,
the other thing, look, I look, I'm not. going to complain about coming across. the pond on ESPN's dime anytime, [laughter] but no AC and the food, you. know, it's it's a struggle. They might. have conquered the British might have. conquered the world for spices. They. just never brought them back. [laughter]. >> Wow. >> For international schlav, >> more like international schlaw. [laughter]. >> Okay. All right. All right. They still. Hey, they still they still have brown.
They had to import that, too. >> I understand. You're still boozing over. there. We respect and appreciate that. You're a damn good dog yourself. We. learned through the World Cup that the. air conditioning game is a huge advance. And I would like to tell Europeans the. fact that they're mentally tough enough. to battle without air conditioning on a. day-to-day basis might make them. tougher, but certainly is a part of the. smell thing that I think probably. happens over there. Beautiful country. Uh the sun never set on it. And I do. appreciate the fact that you said that. the people that found the good tasting. stuff just decided to never go back to.
England with it. But there is ranch. dressing coming that way. I believe this. >> I believe you got ranch on the way. because of the World Cup from my. understanding. Schlaboth. >> I wish they would have discovered. mustard in America as well cuz there's. not any of that over here. [laughter]. >> Um I haven't been able to find it. >> I actually Pat for the first time in my. life watching a World Cup game wire to. wire Saturday night. I figured winning. in Rome, do it. And it was exciting. And. I mean, look, an English golfer hasn't. won the uh the Open since Nick Fo won.
his third Clar Jug in 1992. There hasn't. been an English golfer win the Open on. English soil since Tony Jacquine. >> in 1969. If if if English if England can. beat Argentina tomorrow night and an. English golfer is in contention on. Sunday, this might be the greatest. sporting weekend in English's England's. history. >> Except for what? They do horse racing. over there, right? Like horse racing is. big over there. Yeah. >> Royal Ascot. >> Yeah, >> Royal Ascot. There it is. So, Schlaba,
let's make sure we're not leaving out. the ass. You're you're kind of putting. the ass in ascot right now by leaving. out the horse in this entire thing. Cricket. Cricket. Cricket's big, too. Now, the last I remember when Brian. Arman, another dog, won the uh Open at. at Royal Liverpool a couple years ago. I. got into a cab on Monday and the guy was. listening to a cricket match on the. radio. Two days later, Pat, I get back. in a different cab and then different. cababie is listening to the same cricket. match. It had gone on for three days. >> Yeah, they they they've done what, 14.
day games or whatever. Crazy. >> You got to remember back in a tie, too. >> [laughter]. >> Soccer's starting to do that again. But. we love the World Cup. We love the World. Cup. Top English golfers headline. international leaderboards. Matt. Fitzpatrick, Tommy Fleetwood, Justin. Rose, Tyrell Hatton. Obviously, Terrell. Hatton. Terrell. Tyr. >> Terrell. >> Depends on how. when he plays well, Tyrone when he's. playing bad. Uh, yeah. [laughter]. Fitzpatrick. Fitzpatrick, English guy. Uh, first and strokes gained around the. green, which could be important. Second.
in approach. eighth in driving accuracy, which may may or may not be as important. this week. As we talked about the rough. not being as flush, uh Tommy Fleet would. grew up here in Southport. >> Okay. >> Stuck onto the course as a kid. >> Okay. >> Uh you know, his 45th start in a major, no victories. He's easily the crowd. favorite. >> Uh Tyrell, we talked about Kamora is a. guy uh battled a back injury. He's a. former Open Championship winner. He. could be sneaky good here. his short. game in putting leave a little bit to.
desire. Victor Havlin's found things. again. Blood Goldberg needs to finish. and play well. And look, Windham Clark's. the best player in the world um at this. has played better than anybody else in. the world the last couple months. >> There he is. >> He's um. >> What's this? >> There he is. Yeah. I mean, hell, I I. need to I'm talking to him. I need to. ask him how to do it and and how to make. it work. But. >> he has two different hangers. He had the. wooden one yesterday and then he had a. little flimsy uh red one today. So he's. he's there's that one. Yeah. >> Okay.
>> He wants to flex. He really, you know, he pissed off all the Canadians by. showing up in the USA jersey, Canadian. hockey or US hockey jersey. >> He needs to wear an Argentinian soccer. [laughter] jersey tomorrow. >> No, maybe Lou Messi cuz he is American. William Clark, great American. We will. certainly pull for him, especially if. he's just using basic ass hangers at the. driving range of a major in England. where everything is so hoy toy. I. appreciate Windham Clark doing that. Let's talk about another American. Scotty Sheffller misses the cut for the.
first time in what, 10 years or. something. >> 78 starts. >> And obviously I I read all the posts. online about how many Tiger made in a. row, like 130 or something like that. straight. That thing's never going to be. touched is what people say. Scotty. missing the cut says what to the first. time you came on our show, your first. take was. >> Scotty's swing is right now, but he. doesn't want to talk about that. and. then he would go on to win and then come. in second and win and come in second and. you would say his swing is still not. good. He's somehow winning this. He. makes a cut. Is that like a breaking. point for Scotty uh maybe to kind of.
re-evaluate or do we think he bounces. back? How do you think Scotty views this. week after something he hasn't done in. forever? >> Well, I mean, he hadn't won since the. season opening event. He's got four. runner-ups. He's got 14 top 25s in 15. starts. you know, his iron play has been. a little bit off, but I mean, he's still. top 25 in the world. Um, he couldn't hit. fairways last week, but I've I've been. over to to North Barrack, Scotland, and. and if you're just a little bit off, the. wind's really tricky. Uh, he was asked.
about missing the cut. A British writer. said, "Sorry to start with such a an. awful question, but you know, what did. you do last week?" And he said, "I. worked out on Saturday. I drove over. here. I played 18 holes on Sunday. Played nine on Monday and nine on. Tuesday." And he's never played Royal. Brookdale. So, you know, maybe it's a. blessing in disguise and a mental reset. and a physical reset. Um, somebody asked. him about his legacy earlier today, Pat, and he said, "I don't really play for a. place in history. I'm not playing for. anything like that because this is going.
to sound a little morbid. [music]. At the end of the day, I'm going to live. my life and it's going to end. [laughter]. >> We're all going to die is what he said.". >> Yeah, he sounded he sounded more and. more like my guy. I mean, HE'S. [laughter]. >> HEY, Rory said the same thing. >> I mean, he slav Scotty said something. similar. Not similar last year, like. right right before he won the Open last. year. He like gave one an answer like. this, didn't he? Or am I wrong in that? >> Yeah. Like, why why am I doing this? You. know, what does it all mean?
>> I asked myself that every morning, but. you know, that's just me. >> Yeah. And then you say there's no air. conditioning. >> Spice man. HEY, POOR SPONSOR. >> ALL RIGHT, let's continue to talk to a. guy who is uh. >> abroad right now. Are you all by. yourself over there? The ESPN just lie. you over there by yourself or you like. >> I got a producer here. I I am a oneman. show doing everything. >> God, that's Hey, >> he's a damn good dog. >> Damn good dog.
>> COME ON. [screaming]. >> COME ON. [applause]. >> Go dogs. Hey, 62 degrees in this room. right now. Schwab, [laughter]. it feels really, really good. Okay, AJ. has a question for your international. schlab. >> Yeah, Schlaw, can you give us any maybe. international schlab? I'm sorry. Any uh. I don't know, underdogs under the radar. players you're looking at that could. possibly make a run and also what is the. final score you believe that wins this? >> Well, that's a good question. Uh Jordan. Spaith won it in 2017 at 12 under. I.
don't think we're going to get to St. Andrews 20 under because it it was a lot. shorter. These are a lot smaller grains. Average size about 5,000 square ft. I'm. thinking 14 to 16 maybe a um. >> are guys going to be hitting drivers out. there if you can hit a a five iron 300. like are they do you need to hit driver? >> Yeah. I mean on some I think that's the. Scotty talked about this earlier today. The strategic you know the strategy of. it. Do you do you just whail on it and.
try to avoid the fairway bunkers? you. know the deep pot buckers are that's. their biggest defense out here with. mounding. It's not the big undulating. fairways you see on other links courses. But just I mean knock the hell out of. the driver, knock it into the rough and. be 70 80 yards out and and and go from. there. So, you know, I think these. Arnold Palmer won here, Jack Nicholas, u. Johnny Miller, great champions. I mean, you got to have a you got to have a. complete game. So, I I think it's one of. the the top guys, but I I do think the.
English guys have a shot. Ryan Fox is a. sleeper from New Zealand. He likes tough. courses. Uh I gave him to you, I think, at the US Open and somebody bet on him. and I apologize. >> Yeah, that went well. >> You've never given us a winner, by the. way. That that question, as soon as AJ. asked, I was like, that sounds like a. Dan Patrick question cuz that's a hard. question. He's never going to get it. right. >> That's exactly right. >> Do you want an update from the SB's. lounge or no? >> Yeah. Did I win at SP? >> Yeah, you should probably. >> You're up for four. I mean, actually, we. don't know who wins what for what. anymore at the SBS, but we'll be excited.
to watch it and hopefully we're. celebrating sports this year like we. have done in the past sometimes. Talk. has made his way to the bar. Okay. Just. would like to let everybody know. >> That's why he walked here from the truck. to go get. >> Yeah. Talk has made his way to the bar. Talk. We're proud of you, buddy. Baby. >> talk is actually launching a podcast. soon with Ty. It's going to be. >> It's going to be called Talking Schmidt. >> Yep. >> Yeah. Tomorrow. >> That's right. And uh Hey, talk. Let's. not be. >> good cook. >> Talk spilled three drinks in 17 seconds.
last night. >> It was the It was the craziest thing. I've ever seen in my life. >> Yeah. Steph Curry walks over. maybe 90 seconds afterwards. Everybody. that works at this place was using wet. wipes to dry up the seats cuz they had. cleaned everything. Talk walks over with. two drinks. >> Boom. Spills them all over everything. So the all the workers are like, "We. just made last call. We're going home.". >> Come out with wet wipes. Start wiping it. down. He gets a beer. >> Okay. He says, "There's another one.". >> Yeah. >> Comes back over. >> Boom. >> Right over top of it. And he goes, "I.
guess I got to get out of here, guys.". Then Steph Curry comes over, dabs him. up, >> and then he walks away. Go. Steph Curry. is REALLY KIND. OH, NO WAY. [laughter]. Follow him all the way. Great. >> He needs someone to follow him. [laughter] with a camera. >> Who Who from the truck told him to do. that? Why does he have to go? Foxy car. >> Hey, talk. I'd like to point you towards. a guy actually if you're going to do. this. If that's piping hot, if we're. gonna spill that, let's make sure it's. on the right people. All right, let's uh.
>> what what is he doing? He just. [laughter] nowhere to go. >> International, let's get back to golf, please. Let's get back to golf. Uh. please. Uh Tone has a question for you. International. >> Schlaw. >> Yeah, I do. Um you know, it's been it. hasn't been the greatest run for John. Rom in majors, but this kind of feels. like a course that maybe he could excel. at. Is is Rom are they ever going to be. in contention again? Yeah, I mean we. talked about Haden. I think this course. does suit Rom. He's he's performed well. in the in the open in the past. He's won.
three times on Liv and he criticized all. of us for diminishing that fact um in. the past in the in the past year, but um. he's he's played well. You know, the big. the other big story line, can Bryson. Dshambo make a cut? >> Yeah, he's one of three guys who's. missed the cut in all three majors. He's. got an entire set now of 3D printed. irons that he'll play with [laughter]. this week. So that's going to that. that'll be fun to watch. >> You like that, huh? It sounds like. that's something you do love that. happens. He was just golfing with big.
trees. I I don't know where he was. He. was in uh he was golfing very Did you. see it on his Instagram? He was. >> maybe. >> Redwood Forest. Maybe. >> Ooh, >> that's what it looked like. >> That's what it looked like. >> Do they have a golf course in the. Redwood Force? >> Sick. >> I don't think so. >> You should. >> You're not going to win for not. having that answer there. Sh. You're not. getting. >> Hey, I I got a 3D printed uh putter that. Michael Collins gave me, the Caddy. I. lose about. Michael about six strokes around on the. greens. It's awesome.
>> Um. >> this the first round Bryson's playing. with these clubs, these 3D printed like. the full set. >> Uh if you're not counting the 472 rounds. he's played on YouTube. Yes. [laughter]. >> Do you watch those? >> Uh no. I look look I like I like Bryson. I I do I think I think Bryson is one of. the more fascinating guys out here and. he's he's been good to me until the last. few months. But he uh. >> Oh, what happened? [laughter]. >> Why little falling out? >> He he he doesn't want to talk. >> Well, that's Well, that's strictly.
because the way. >> he's in a tough spot. >> The way you talked about what what you. call it the barely living tour. He been. pretty loud over there. International. Schlob catching some heat over there. because Liv's super international, right? Uh, did you see the guy sued him for $600. million? >> Who? >> They stole They stole my idea that lost. $6 billion. You owe me $600,000 more. >> I didn't see this. When did this happen? >> Uh, I broke it a couple weeks ago. Maybe. last week. >> I was in the Bahamas when I broke it. >> You did? >> I would have never guessed you would. break some negative news in our.
international schlaw is a real problem. Mike might want a Peabody out there. Go. ahead, Ty. >> Yeah, international schlaw. Let's uh. stray away from golf for a second here. cuz we were actually talking last night. college football what you know where we. want to lean and uh just curious listen. them damn good dogs they got a lot of. returning starters. Uh can we get like a. a Georgia update? Should we be kind of. maybe leaning towards Georgia to to win. the SEC this year and potentially win. another national championship? >> You know, I get home from uh England.
Monday evening and uh I'll be on a plane. to Tampa on Tuesday for SEC media days. >> Oh yeah. the start of the the real. season. Um and uh now I saw a stat this. week said Georgia was the youngest. roster in all the FBS. or or maybe Power Five, but um yeah, it's it's it's interesting. Kirby's been. signing a lot of three stars. >> Why? Cuz you guys can't afford it. >> I'm not sure what's going on. Yeah, I. think they're broke. >> No, I'm being serious when I say that. cuz Kirby has been very much like uh.
what do you guys think is the right. answer? I I've heard him in like a. hundred different combos just be like, "What do you think is right answer? What. do you think is right answer?" I think. Kirby, >> he's one of my favorite people in. college football. Kirby's always been. very good to us. >> Dogs fans have not, but Kirby Smart has. been very good to us. >> I appreciate the levelmindedness of him. I think he doesn't love what. everything's happening right now. Not. just because like Georgia is potentially. nowhere near alumni wise where Penn. State, Michigan, Oregon, everything like.
that. I think a lot of SEC teams are. talking about that, but I think Kirby is. like a college football pillar. personally at this point. So, if he's. taking three stars, I think there's a. reason for that. I think he is looking. ahead. I I think he is ahead of game. Do. you view Kirby that way? Is that. everybody in Georgia? >> Yeah, I Yeah, I thought Kirby's strength. was always signing high school talent, recruiting high school talent, and. developing high school talent. And I. think they he does it better than. anybody else out there now that that. Sabin is retired. But I just don't think. he's going to pay a.
fourstar guard $1.5 million. You know, he's not going to pay him more than than. the guys that are already on his team. So, they've got a couple five stars. I'll be curious. You know, he's he's got. a bunch of guys leaving after this. season. I'll be curious to see if he if. he goes heavier in the transfer portal. But, you know, hopefully some of these. this legislation will get passed and. we'll get some guardrails in here. I. don't think anybody can afford it. >> But, Mark, >> at the pace it's at right now. >> Mark, we were having this con the other. day. Is Gunnar Stockton good enough to. win a national championship?
>> Yeah, >> you got the right people around him. I. mean, Stson Bennett was good enough to. win it. >> Yeah, but but Stson Stson could spin it, bro. Like that. That's why Stson in the. NFL why he was able to just leave for a. year, kind of do his own thing and come. back cuz he can spin it. I I think Stson. the mailman, right? Isn't that what they. were calling? >> He could spin it. I don't know. I don't. know. I don't know if Gunner at this at. from what I've seen great athlete damn. good dog like all those things a tough. obviously the first time we saw him he. gets. >> John Elway and then he gets back up.
>> does he have is he have enough talent. with this to be able to win an ATI. that's a real question I think I I think. that's a real question. >> yeah he's tough as hell he the throw he. made against Tennessee in the fourth. quarter I was at that game. >> oh down in the right side in the end. shoulder throw he can spin it can spin. it they got to get back to throwing it. to the tight ends they got 19 five-star. tight ends on the roster. He's got they. got to roll him out more, get the ball. across the middle. That was a big. problem last year. They got a consistent. running game. They had a ton of injuries. on the offensive line, but I think this.
team, it's not as good as the 21 or 22. defense, but I think it's as close to. that. They're never going to have Jaylen. Carter running second string. >> That was unheard of. >> Can you tell me about expectations for. Lane and LSU? Because obviously LSU with. the amount of money they paid him, without the amount of hype, with the. amount of drama to get him down there. and drama around everything that Lane. does, I think it's just kind of the way. it is. But I think everybody at LSU is. expected to win. >> Most expensive roster in college. football, I believe. >> they're expecting to win right now. >> He's got he's kind of he's he's kind of. trying to temper it temper it down a. little bit. I'm headed down to Baton.
Rouge in a few weeks to to see him, but. he uh I mean, look, they went out and. they they they spent a ton of money. They got the quarterback from Arizona. State who's a good player. He's coming. off an injury. I think running back's a. little bit of concern with him, but they. spent as much money with Brian Kelly. last year and ended up fired. So, you. got to get the locker room right, but. he's got a couple good defensive players. from Old Miss. I mean, I'm I dudes, I'm. counting the days down when his ass goes. back to to Oxford. >> Week three. Can't wait for that. >> It's going to be so much fun. >> Game day is not definitely going there.
Remember, only the first two weeks have. been scheduled. >> We're going to be at LSU Clemson. You. know, Dabau, good guy. He's done a lot. for college football. Since I've been on. college game day, Clemson has not been. good at football. They have not been. good at They've been good at football, but they have not been in national. conversation. The combo about Dabo was. always like, he won't evolve. He won't. evolve. Now he is evolving and he's a. damn good football coach. We all know. that about Dabo, but Clemson has been. out of the story forever. First week. we're at Clemson LSU down there. I think. it's because we're at Lane Kein or. whatever. Obviously, we're doing that.
But it's like if they just. >> steamroll Clemson, which is possible, right? Oh yeah. >> And Clemson has got Georgia, right? Didn't Georgia do that to Clemson? What. was that? >> 31. >> That's happened a couple times in these. like opening weekend, you know, like. showcase games. >> I think LSU favorites. I think the hype. that'll come out of an ass beating if. that is what happens down there in Baton. Rouge. And then week two is what? Ohio. State, Texas, and Austin with game days. there. And then week three is in Oxford, LSU at Old Miss. And they they wouldn't. announce that game days there because I.
guess things could go completely off the. rails for both. LSU could lose to. Clemson. They could just absolutely do. it and not do it. >> Old Miss opens up in Nashville against. somebody good. >> Yeah, they got Winad back, right? >> Oh, yeah. >> And Lacy. >> Winnad. >> We We saw Winad at the College Football. National Championship uh concert with. Flow Rider. >> Mhm. >> Is that what it was? >> Yes. >> The National Championship. Was that the. national championship? >> We saw Winnad there. He was in the. middle of still figuring out if he was.
going to be able to come back or not. After watching him play in the Fiesta. Bowl, I think um I forget what city he. was. Fiesta Bowl, >> Phoenix. >> He He's an NFL guy. I think I I think. Trinidad's an NFL guy. The way he spins, how tough he is. I'm not saying he's a. starter, but I think he will get on a. roster. He'll get an opportunity at some. point and do that. So, I was trying to. explain to him that if he doesn't get. back into college, he's going to be. a-okay. Then, obviously, appeals happen. He gets in there, it ends up taking. place, he's back. He is a weapon. He he. is an unbelievable football player. I.
don't think anybody's talking about Miss. either. No, >> nobody's talking about Miss. Who's. everybody talking about in the SEC? Is. it Kirby this year? >> Texas is the favorite. >> Texas. Texas together. >> Arch, Georgia, Miss LSU. >> All right. Uh, International Texas. Texas went out and got two really good. running backs. Offensive line still. >> and the best wide receiver in the portal. as well. >> Cam Coleman. Disgusting. He had me. playing quarterback. He had me playing. quarterback at Auburn and he caught. honor balls. >> Why do they always suck him?
>> I don't know. That's the last time I. needed a That's the last time I needed a. police escort off campus. That's all I'm. going to say. [laughter]. >> They hate you down here. >> They don't like me too much. >> They might like international schlub. >> They don't like SEC schlub. All right, last question here from con man. Yeah, Mark, speaking of Arch in Texas, there's. a big story from the Manning Passing. Academy, you know, about CJ Carr, Notre. Dame, him kind of stealing the show. And. we talked about Notre Dame in Oregon. So, kind of a Dan Patrick question, but.
can uh, you know, Notre Dame and Oregon, can they win the big one? Like, is it. every year going to be, hey, this is the. year, Dan Landing, that they get it. done, but do you actually believe they. can do it? And do you see either one of. those teams in the national. championship? Yeah, I was out in Oregon a couple. months ago, met with Dante Moore and Dan. Landing and and a couple I talked to a. couple of his assistants. I mean, they're loaded again and I love Dante. Moore. He's great kid, great. quarterback. That was I was at that. Peach Bowl when they lost to Indiana. That was a really weird game. Will.
Stein, their OC, was going to Kentucky. and Tosh Laoy, their DC, was going to. Cal and they were both recruiting and. they both looked like zombies. Not. taking anything away from Indiana cuz. they jumped on him from the start. That. kid pounds kicked up had the pick six on. the first pass of the game and then it. just steamrolled. But uh Oregon's. Oregon's got a ton of talent. Dan's a. damn good football coach. >> Notre Dame, that's where I grew up. I. grew up a Notre Dame fan and then I grew. up um and uh it uh.
>> come on Freeman's good. Freeman's good. I I I love everything about Notre Dame. I grew up an hour from campus. I love. everything about Notre Dame. >> Where'd you grow up at? You're from. Indiana? >> Culver, Indiana. Lake Max and Cookie. >> I didn't know you were. >> military academy. >> No. >> Yeah, cuz I thought you got that at. Georgia. >> Yeah, I thought you were a damn good. dog. I didn't know you were a Hooser. Congrats on winning that you last year. >> Wow. >> I wasn't. I'm not a I loved Bobby Knight. growing up. >> Not football and Bobby Knight. >> Yeah, I think we kind of get that. Hear. that. Yeah, we hear that the way you.
talk. Yeah, we hear [laughter] that the. way you talk. And uh enjoy yourself over. there, brother. Uh maybe take in some of. the European rays, you know, enjoy the. heat, the sauna, also known as the. bedroom. Just kind of live your life. over there and let us know what all. happens. Brother, >> almost killed a lady in a roundabout. last night. It wasn't good. >> Driving on the left side of the road's. hard. >> Yeah, cuz you got to look the opposite. direction. >> Opposite way. I keep I keep thinking. somebody's going to t-bone me. >> We hope that doesn't happen, >> Mark. >> Yeah, cuz that has to happen in Auburn,
we've learned. Yeah, but not in England, ladies and gentlemen. INTERNATIONAL. SCHLUBBLE. >> YEAH. MORE. >> You're the best, buddy. Um, ladies and. gentlemen, the stars are out. >> Yeah. Yeah. >> Hi. How are you guys doing? >> A crowd has joined. I believe that his. husband, I've seen him shirtless on the. internet. He is absolutely jacked as. well. Ladies and gentlemen, joining us. right now is somebody who just won a. record title. She is nominated for the best athlete in.
women's sports. >> I like that. That's a title. Yeah. >> Ladies and gentlemen, won slalom gold at. the Olympics. >> The what's the point pod? >> Boom. >> Our favorite pod. >> Yep. >> Ladies and gentlemen, American icon and. hero Michaela Shiver. >> Great to see you. Great to see you. Great to see you. >> AJ, stand up. Stand up. >> I'm trying to give her this here. Here. you go. Shiver. >> You know how to do it. >> Husband guy. Cut a piece of shirtless. I.
think. >> I see him on the internet. Jack. Yeah, take off your shirt. >> Yeah, >> I know what's happening. He's Oh, he'll. do it, too. >> He's Hey, you are [laughter] you are. ridiculously jacked, bro. Obviously, you. are as well, Michaela. You're the. greatest sker in the history. [laughter]. So, uh, thank you so much for joining. us. >> Thank you. >> This feels like a great event to. celebrate people who are incredible what. they do. I'm happy that you get. celebrated here on a very regular basis. and obviously the Olympics, we get a. chance to celebrate the hell out of you. How have you been since last time we. talked to you? I think you've broke more. records. How is life right now? And.
welcome back to America. >> Thank you. Yeah, it's good to be home. I. I have been traveling a little bit. I. was in Norway. Um, which the vibe over. there is incredible. Oh my gosh. And. then coming back here has been really. funny cuz everybody that we meet is. they're like, "Oh, you're from to Alex.". Like, "You're from Norway." Oh my god. Holland. >> Yes. [laughter]. >> And we're actually Man City fans. Yeah, we're Man City fans. Holland. >> USA next World Cup. Actually, >> he's going by Earl, right? >> It's tough to imagine that. >> No, he's an American. Messi is playing.
for America, too. Lou [laughter]. >> So, good news. We're winning the next. one. So, whoever's doing this one, good. luck. We got Ed Holland. >> and Lou Messi. [laughter]. >> Uh Michaela, tell me a little bit about. the SPS, honestly. And if you were to. win uh best athlete in women's sports. Have you won the uh I assume you've won. one of these before. >> I've won one before. Um. >> congrats. >> Thank you. [cheering]. >> Oh, no. >> We were there on the way. Second one on.
the way. >> Your people are there. They got the clap. for you there. >> Oh, yeah. Well, we'll we'll see. I mean, it's it's just it's an honor to be. nominated. I know that sounds like. diplomatic, but everybody [laughter]. who's been nominated in the category is. incredible. Like Hillary Knight, I like. I root for her. I cheer for her. It's. incredible. So, um. >> I don't know. It's really good to be. here. It's good to meet other athletes. It's good to be able to celebrate sports. and the great performances that have. happened this season. It'd be amazing to. win again, for sure. But I feel like.
it's like the cherry on the cake, you. know, the nomination is just it's great. to get that recognition anyway. So. >> yeah, acknowledgement is good. And we. acknowledge, by the way, you do. >> Yeah, we acknowledge you. Yeah, we. acknowledge Michaela. Um, [laughter]. >> thank you guys. >> I have a daughter. AJ's got a couple. He's got a daughter. He's got a couple. >> Three. Yeah. >> Daughters. >> Uh Connor in the future will probably. have a daughter. [laughter]. >> I have I have an orchid right now. She's. doing well. >> Still alive. Orchids are I can't keep orchids alive.
>> There you come. You got [laughter] a. great thumb. >> He also has no kids or any other real. profession. Now, he will be getting. married soon, so life will change for. him. But. >> Well, congratulations. >> Thank you. >> Can we talk about women's sports? Cuz my. daughter is definitely going to play. sports. I will force her to be playing. team sports. I have people that tell me. I can't force her into that. I was like, well, I view it as school. I view it as. a life lesson. Like, she's definitely. going to do sports. How do you feel? And. you're one of the drivers of this.
Women's sports feels like hotter than. ever now. >> Yeah. >> So much drama happening in the WNBA, but. a lot of attention and money going to. the WNBA. So I think is it good? Is it. not good? That's for somebody else to. decide. >> No press is bad press. >> Agreed. But it does feel like women's. sports is right. Don't you think? >> I don't actually know if that's true, but yeah. Yes. I think women's sports. right now. Well, >> it's sports in general, right? Like it's. the entertainment of it. And I think. people are starting to give credit that. women provide that entertainment in.
sports. And you we're starting to see. how exciting it really is. And um. getting the recognition, getting these. sports on television, getting to watch, getting the viewership. Uh it's all it's. all part of that puzzle. And it's really. cool to see that it is, like you said, it's like starting to really. >> It's getting really hot. >> Yeah, it is getting hot. Yeah. I mean, WNBA is getting real hot. I mean Dan. Patrick needs to ask his hard questions. Kathy Angleberg ASAP. That needs that. needs to happen ASAP for the good of all.
sports. But as somebody who now my. daughter's three in two months now at. this point, becoming full human now. We. got ideas, we got opinions, we got. attitudes, we're dribbling basketball, we're kicking soccer ball. It's like fun. to watch. And then I I watch the women's. sports continuing to grow and it's like, man, it does feel like how many years. you been doing this now? Have you been. >> 16? >> Okay. Okay. So, at the beginning. >> professionally. >> Okay. And I don't know skiing because I. assume it's always women skiing has. always been. >> it's actually it ironic well not. ironically but it's skiing is one of the.
few sports where women have had equal. prize money to the men really. There are. a couple races like the men race kits. fuel and then the prize money is insane. But otherwise like I've had several. seasons where I've out earned the men in. prize money just it's really based on. your performance and um there's a lot of. opportunities. Let's go. >> Unreal. Unbelievable. >> Dogs. win tonight. Yeah, we love that. Let's. get her an award tomorrow. Isn't.
>> ordered? [laughter]. That's okay. It's tomorrow. Tomorrow night. Yeah, we're all living. the same day. Time is a flat circle. But. being European though, right? I mean, that's all. >> More more European based for sure. Yeah. >> No air conditioning. >> They don't [laughter]. actually This is totally different. topic. They don't have AC in Europe. really. So, it's it's been tough this. summer, but um yeah, it's a lot bigger. in Europe. Um Bodie Miller, I think he. used to have a shirt that said something. like, "I'm big in Europe." It's like. getting more energy into the US because.
now we have more US races and this. season we'll have a race in Fever Creek. We have a race in Killington. >> Oh, Kington's. backyard. Smells a bit icy up there. >> It is. Yeah. I think there's some power. up. just bought it. Veil just bought it. >> Veil bought Vermont. >> Veil bought Killing T. They also bought. Seven Springs, too. So, >> is Bernie okay, isn't he? That is his.
date, isn't it? Veil bought Vermont. All. right, let's move along. We'll keep it. on sports. [laughter]. >> I didn't know we sold a state, though. That's like Louisiana back. >> There's a mountain. >> Oh, they bought the mountain. >> Yeah. Yeah. Noah Khan sings. >> They bought the mountain. He had a hole. in one. He did say that. >> I also saw someone DM a guy and said. like, "Hey, FYI, I was there. Not real.". >> Don't say that about No, DUDE. JUST SOLD. OUT. DON'T DO THAT. >> WE SOLD OUT FOUR TIMES. I love the guy. I know all the songs. >> I will ask on Saturday.
>> I'm going to go to the concert. >> Yeah, you're so famous. We love that. >> I just know person who's friends with. him. [laughter]. >> Okay, I like that. Take your SP there. Uh AJ has a question for you. >> Yeah, Pat was talking about sports. I. guess growing up, did you play team. sports? I mean, obviously skiing is kind. of there's. >> it's you out there. There's you have a. team around you behind the scenes, but I. guess what is that like when it's all on. you, win or lose, hey, there's nowhere. no point, no fingers to point anyone. else really. >> Absolutely. I mean, it is a different. vibe and you do have an incredible team.
and the support system, but to perform. on your sort of field of play alone is. uh I guess there's good and bad to it. in the one sense you you do have to take. that responsibility entirely, you know, on yourself in that moment. And I like. that. I like feeling like I'm in control. of the outcome. Um, >> but I also feel like there there's. points in times where I look at team. sports and I think how incredible would. it be to carry the weight of something. so big together. I definitely felt that.
at the Olympics. I was like, oh my gosh, I just feel so isolated. And it took a. lot to get through that. And I would. look at teams and be like, I imagine you. don't feel as isolated. You know, you. have each other to kind of carry the. weight of this. But. >> what do you do? Just punch a wall. That's what I used to do as an isolated. position. Kinder punter. [laughter]. Nobody cares about what I do. If I. >> should have punched a wall. >> Yeah. Bad idea. Can we talk about what's. on your wrist here? What? Uh, >> this. >> Yeah. >> Do you like it?
>> Yeah, I like it, too. >> Oh, you got the rotating bezel. >> Nice. You were giving a great answer. >> Would you like to see it? >> Yeah. >> Here, look at this. I I can't Yeah. I. mean, wow. Pretty gold. >> Thank you. >> It's a It's a longine. I just got it. >> Very nice. >> I just got it like this spring. >> Oh, let me break it real quick cuz I'm. [laughter] trying to wrist. God, I feel. >> I'm just going to take a couple links. off. >> I feel so good on you. Thank you so. much. Yeah, I feel. >> this is not quite fit. >> Did I win this? Did I win this on a a.
mountain or did I buy this? >> Uh, well, it is one of my partners. So, I I didn't buy it per se, >> but I bought it with effort. >> Oh, so that's why [laughter] that's why. you wouldn't put that watch on right. there. >> Yeah. No, I'm sorry. It's very nice, but. >> can't I can't. >> Hey, listen. You handle your business. Michaela. Ty has a question for you. >> Uh, I'm just curious like do you have an. off season? Cuz there's obviously fresh. pow everywhere, [laughter] you know, like if you want to get on a mountain, you can. kind.
I think we really this period of time. we're in right now like May, June, July, it is pretty strength and conditioning. heavy. So, we kind of have training. camp, but like I've been traveling to. Norway to Austria. Oh, thank you. >> Yeah, no problem. I almost broke it. Yeah. >> Um, [laughter] and just spending a lot. of time in the gym and doing a lot of. workouts. >> All right. What are the workouts? Legs. >> Lot of legs. squats. Bulgarian split. squats. The bane of my existence. But.
those are those [laughter]. to show exactly what he was like one. foot up. One foot. [laughter]. I don't have any cartilage left. Careful. Careful. >> Yeah. There you go. Is that Is that good. form though? >> That's pretty. You got that good. You. have to get a little bit like you got to. tuck your tight. Tuck your tail. I have. tight hips. [laughter]. >> You still got the juice. Tuck your tail. Squeeze your cheeks. >> Squeeze your cheeks. >> Get down. [laughter]. It's hot here. Can you tell me about. >> So you work out with husband though, right? >> Yeah.
>> He also a skier, I think. >> When we get to be together kind of. during this period of time, then we do a. lot of our workouts together. And he's a. skier as well. He is recovering from a. really bad crash um several years ago. and he. >> cut his leg almost off and his shoulder. was hanging on by basically skin. >> and then he got an infection in the. shoulder. So, it's been like a. multipleyear return to racing and he's. now feeling like he's back in good. shape. So, it's really exciting going. into this season. >> Yeah. Yeah. >> Yeah.
>> Superhero. >> He's like, "What do you what do you. >> show us your legal?". >> No, you don't need to clap. We're. clapping for you. >> It almost cut his leg off. >> and then his shoulder. >> Jeez. It was gnarly. If you you guys can look. You should look it up later. Now, he's. from Norway, but he skis for America. >> Yeah. No, he skis for Norway. >> Okay. >> I take back my. >> Conor [laughter] has a question for you, Michaela. >> Yeah. Michaela, uh Pat mentioned the. what's the point Pod and I was listening. to the episode of you and your mother.
talking about like overcommitment to. your sport. >> Thank you for listening. >> Of course, you guys were drinking wine. It was pretty awesome. >> We listen, Michaela. [laughter] We we. try to support video on Spotify. Very. clutch, too, cuz you can listen and. watch. But uh you mentioned. overcommitment and how did you learn to. deal with that? Like I'm assuming early. on in your career it's tough to do like. stuff like this and like actually enjoy. the off season. How did you learn to do. that? Was there a certain point where. it's like hey this is just too much like. mentally like I have to take a break. How did that kind of whole thing come.
about? >> I feel like I've sort of naturally grown. into more of the media marketing side of. things. In the beginning of my career, I. had success early on, but it's like you. just you sort of naturally grow into it. So, the first few seasons in my career. was like I was just home and working out. for 8 weeks in the summer and it, you. know, I didn't have to do that much. travel. And then as I got more. sponsorships and sort of sponsorships. grew, partnerships became a little bit.
bigger and maybe more time commitment. Um, I feel like that was a pretty. natural progression. But I've been lucky. because my family was always very. protective of my time and energy and. mental space. And the team that I have, my agent, um, my publicist, they've. always been really, really good about. knowing what the sport demands and, um, allowing me the space to be able to. really give 100% to that. But it's a. tough balance cuz ski racing is like. once you're in it, you you are fully in. it. There's no time once August hits. I.
have no time to do any real promotional. work or anything like that. It's just. you're going non-stop. And I I mean it's. probably the same in every other sport, too. But it's hard when you're doing it. That's how football work. >> If you want to be great, yeah, you have. to I was talking to um. >> Ashton. [laughter] Braxton. >> Braxton. Ashcraft. >> Ashcraft. >> That sounds a lot like Ash. And. >> it's close. >> And I am going to tell you, I don't like. that cuz how much I like the guy. Uh. he's first time all-star pitcher. Last.
time. >> played in the NFL. >> I was talking to him and you know I told. him like now what's gonna happen is next. season you're gonna try to be better. >> and then next season you're going to try. to be better and it becomes this psycho. obsession that the greats have. Yeah. >> That's what separates the greats from. the good. >> You don't you don't sit complacently. You're like always looking for the next. thing. >> Yeah. And it completely takes you over. And I think that's what you were talking. about that in the overcommitment stage. And I think, but you have to, don't you? Isn't that kind of like the part of. being elite in this entire thing? It's.
kind of like. >> to feeling like what's around the corner. and if I've done something incredible. It's not really solely about the. results. It's more like if I just if I. just work a little bit harder or maybe a. little bit smarter, I find there's. always something you can tweak like. nutrition, the mental work, definitely. the physical work. And there's always. new and diff like different ways of. training that come out there. and you. maybe work with a different strength. coach and all of these things that you. can tweak and then you see these. improvements or maybe you see like an a. decline and then you think, "Oh, that.
wasn't the right direction." But there's. so much you can it's like a constantly. changing puzzle and you're always. peeking around the corner and then as. you see like success improve or you're. like the best feeling I have is starting. the racing season and feeling strong. Like if you don't feel strong when you. make a ski turn, you I have nightmares. about it. trying to make a skimping. out when you just can't handle the flip. side.
make a run and feel like oh I've got. like my legs are I'm good like the power. >> yeah but nobody's watching you do the. Bulgarian split squats and you don't. know if you've done enough until what. that first. >> until that moment when you're like am I. strong enough or not and then you get. there you're like oh yes everything paid. off but yeah I mean you have to look 3. months down the line or even three years. down the line and think what am I doing. what I need to do now in order to feel. that way when it's time to perform. >> Dan Patrick question here. Uh so I do.
apologize for that. Tough. It's a hard. question. >> That's what Dan Patrick was going to do. to Kathy Engleberg. >> Damn right. >> And she's a commissioner of the league. >> So tough question. Every question is. tough question. >> Yeah. >> They need to talk. >> now. They do. >> Maybe do a golf round. >> No, I watched her out of the sand. I. don't I think she should. Okay. >> I think she was not bad though. The. second, everybody saw the first. >> skull. >> And that was just practice. I should not. do the motion that I just did. Okay. I. know that. But that is what the ball.
did. The ball did go that way. >> It did. >> The second one. >> Beautiful. Very nice. Nobody's talking about that. Everybody's talking about the score. >> And it won't. >> Yeah. Nobody's going to talk about. >> Well, she's a great commission. >> Yeah, she But. >> makes adjustments. >> Yeah. Well, so that's what everybody's. wondering. But. >> that's where the questions come in. But. I do hope that Dan and her get a chance. to chat. Booking sucks. Thank you for. joining our show. Dan Patrick, question. coming. Um, if I was to show a clip of you talking. on my show to my daughter about her.
mentality or mindset and how you treat. competition and like uh dayto-day being. an athlete, you know, everybody talks. about the mama mentality. I had a very. lucky opportunity to be around Pton. Manning. So hard work obviously is the. basis of everybody that's ever been. great. But your mentality, what is it? Are you trying to get better every day? Are you trying to get better every. moment? Are you like a long-term. thinker? Like what is your mentality? You think that has separated you to. become who you are, which is a. >> sixth World Cup skiing [laughter] title.
for the. >> Olympic legend. Uh SB winner already. Probably another one coming if they do. the right thing. >> [laughter]. >> What is like uh if you had to describe. the way your mentality is or mindset is, what separates you from maybe others in. between the ears, what would you say it. was that I could tell my daughter? >> Yeah. Dan Patrick question. You need to. think about that. >> Yeah. >> We got time. >> We got time. How much time? That was a. good. >> Yeah, it was. >> I think Dan would be happy about that. >> That was well done. >> Good for you, man. This one's for you.
>> This one's for you. [applause]. >> Yes. So well well put. Um, >> jeez, keep clapping, Michaela. Good job. >> That's true. That's true. Really cool. Really cool shoes, by the way. While. you're thinking, >> super European. >> Thanks, guys. Um, mentality. >> I think it's a little bit of improvement. every day. But actually lately, I've. been thinking a lot about this this. motivation piece. Like there's kind of a. misconception that the greatest are just.
motivated all the time and everybody. else out there is trying to wonder what. the what's the key to being more. motivated more consistently. And I. actually find myself not that motivated. probably 80% of the time. Like it's very. rare that I'll get up out of bed in the. morning and be like I'm so excited to go. do Bulgarian split squats or whatever or. like it's very fun to go skiing but. usually it's pretty grueling. So it's. I'm not like motivated all the time. So. I think part of my mentality is just.
working on the like the relentless. consistency when there's a lack of. motivation. It's more like the. discipline side of things. And if you. don't feel like you're improving every. single day or every single minute, you. just know that you're kind of. consistently putting in work and pieces. of the puzzle that are going to lead to. more long-term improvement. So I do. think it's maybe a bit of a long-term. vision. Um, but it's really lately it's. just been about like relentless. consistency. >> and if you build it. >> Yeah. and you're you're building some. you're building something great and.
great things take time and also. meaningful things are going to come with. setbacks as well. So, it's like looking. at the full picture and what a beautiful. opportunity it all is. And we often. focus on the wins and the trophies and. the victories and you see this little. glimpse of the spotlight, but like just. there's so much more beyond that. And. and actually the journey is in this is. so like yeah, this is so cliche. >> Why question for a potential cliche? It. is a hard hard question. So. >> yeah,
>> cliches are normally good answers to. >> Well, it's like what you learn in your. life is on the route to get to where. you're going. Like the gold medal got me. nothing. >> Oh my gosh. But everything I did on the. way was like, "Oh I learned so. much about communication with my team. and like and building a business and. understanding what feels important and. trying to take on the risk of failure. and criticism that would come with that. and actually say like I'm going to hold. this in my hands and I'm going to just. be one with it because I can't avoid the.
criticism if I f this up." But like it's. just so worth it to try and like those. are the things that I get from it. >> Turns out the fulfillment. >> is in the journey. >> It was in the journey all along. >> Cheers to that. Cheers to you. Cheers to. that. >> Thank you for being an inspir if I don't. know if you drink Jack and D at this. time. >> This is not my water but um fresh drink. Here's a fresh one. This is Jack and one. of those. There you go. >> You want weed? >> Okay. [laughter]. >> Cheers to you. Cheers to you.
Cheers. >> Thank you so much for joining us. Good. luck tomorrow night on winning another. SP. Good luck on everything. Thank you. for inspiring so many uh including my. daughter. >> and all the other lads daughters down. there. And uh keep going. We very much. respect and appreciate the hell out of. it. >> Oh, thank you guys so much. Very fun. Very fun. >> Michaela, what's the point? >> Well, the point it's an elusive thing. Um [laughter]. >> it is usual. >> It is an elusive thing. On that note, >> bottoms up. Bottoms up is the point.
>> Okay. [laughter]. >> You said it. >> Oh. Oh. Oh, yeah. >> Very good. I said it. >> WE'RE BACK TOMORROW. HAVE A GOOD ONE. GOODBYE. That's how the show ended. >> Yeah. >> Thanks for doing that, Michaela. What's. the point? I don't know. end the. show terribly. It sounds like uh. Michaela, you're the best. Thanks. >> We're still on the internet. You're. People will still hear you talk right. now if you were to say anything. So, I. don't know if you want to just. >> say just say something or just leave. >> You could just leave or anything like. that. >> You could just leave. You could talk. about how it would be much cooler if.
your husband would just go ahead and. call himself Dan and become an American. skier for us the next Olympics. >> You're just recruiting everybody to be. >> Yeah. Yeah, we are. >> Team USA. >> Thank you. Work on it. Yeah. Okay. You're the best. >> Bye, guys. >> You're awesome. Thank you so much. See. you. >> Take care, team. >> Good luck out there. for the man. >> I hope you guys win another one.
>> If you don't win, >> Pat, you got to come on. What's the. point? >> Yeah. >> Oh, absolutely. >> Yeah. [music]. >> Okay. >> Sounds good to me. There's a lot of me. I don't know if you need that, but. >> boom. Puck it. No deal. >> All right. Put it in there. >> We'll talk about the app race ski. probably. >> Yeah. >> Yeah. There you go. >> I've never really done this skiing. I. I've heard it's amazing. >> It's a great time. >> So much fun. >> Veil. >> We had a friend. >> Tell you right. >> Yeah. We had a friend, rest in peace, living legend, Vonte Davis, who.
>> I I mean, I don't think I would have. said, "You know what? This guy's going. to become an avid skier." He really did. He He became super. Took you out there a. couple times, right? I feel like people. do love skiing whenever they get out. there to do it. >> Scares the out of me. >> I mean, it's a great time. Obviously, skiing is fun. It's is dangerous. It's. speed. It's fast. just all the different. things that we like from uh you know. from other sports. But I think more than. the actual skiing is like, you know, just getting away, getting away with. your people, going up in a cabin, seeing. mountains, the weather, the views are.
crazy. Like, you know, I love going. places with water with, you know, seeing. the ocean, an ocean front room. That's. typically my go-to. But it's nothing. like, you know, having those windows and. seeing like those mountains out there, snow cap, you know, it's it's it's un. maybe a hot tub out there, but it's it's. cabin. It's all amazing, man. It's. incredible. >> Wow. >> Ski is the best. Like especially cuz. sometimes you can like get lost on the. mountain. That part can sometimes stink. because you get on different lifts. It's. a huge entire thing. But when you go up.
and you don't do like the hard double. black diamonds, black diamonds that you. just do, you know, you just do the green. circles or the or the blue squares. You. can go on like sweet 20 minute like. cruises almost like I would almost. compare it to like riding a motorcycle. like like that type of. >> So we got music and ears. >> Music and ears. you you got you know. beers that you can drink on the lift up. when you're taking a smoking obviously. of course I feel like that's part of the. culture innately but then yeah to what. you said the appric ski cuz a lot of. these places it's winter you know it.
gets dark out at 4 5 there's night. skiing at 8 so they close the mountain. anyways to regroom it and everything but. skiing is incredible dangerous at night. >> you ever ski. >> for about 25 minutes never got uh to the. lift. >> no I've never done either my yeah my We. we tried to go one time. My youngest. Yeah. He. >> explosive diarrhea. >> No, he we got we put him in the um you. know like the kids club thing to try to. He was really young. He was really young. and we were on the the bunny hill trying. to do little lessons and then 30 minutes.
later the thing closed and they said, "All right.". >> And we had to leave. >> Take all of our stuff. So I've never. skied. >> Sounds like good time. >> So I never got off the uh just the main. little bunny hill. So I never even saw. the lift at. >> the mountain kicked the Hawks off. >> What time did you go? Like [laughter]. >> noon. At noon. And Aiden, like they. said, Axel, he was super young and. obviously he was a bit of a tyrant at. the age he was. And so when he came out. of the kids club, they said, "Hey, we. sorry we closed it at 2." Our dude was. still giving us a little family lesson. on the bunny hill. And I said, "Man, it'll be cool to see wherever the lift. it would even be.".
>> And we [laughter] never saw any of this. That was my one skiing experience. I. actually did the show from the cabin. when I was there. Uh I don't know what. I'm 20. >> 2022. Uh it was one of those states out. west, you know, Idaho, Colorado, Montana, one of those. They They're not. all the same, AJ. >> No, they're not. But I always get it. mixed up. Like there's Idaho, there's. >> It sounds like it was a pretty shitty. trip. >> It was The trip was amazing. >> The problem was skiing is a ton of work. Just walking with those boots on, you. know, very, very difficult, but I would. like to go. My brother skis. I I still.
do want to go. I wouldn't say I'm. extremely motivated. >> How' Ryan Hawk do at the American. Century Championship? >> Oh, he he did great. He did awesome, man. >> How was the MS Caddy? >> Ms. Caddyy. They were very talkative. I'm going to say I hate that guy. >> Okay. >> Yeah. [laughter] Word on the street is. >> best friend. My best friend. >> I called the Miz and said, "You need to. get the caddy the hell out of there. The. guy was filming. The M hits the best. shot other than the chip in that he's. ever hit in his life from the. hospitality area." Mhm. >> And I got this guy who's lucky as hell.
to be there. Okay. And he goes, "Oh, I. guess now I'm a videographer and a cat.". Shut the up. Okay. M shouldn't have. you there anyways. The guy had eight. double bogeies in a row. you are the. problem. But on that note, he did chip. in. He did. I guess that gets the caddy. another trip to this thing. He's the. Catty's a big part of the problem, I. think, for me. >> You think? Yes. >> Well, maybe just because he um. >> What do you want to say? He instigates. him or he makes him think, hey, we. should talk about this putt for 40. minutes even though we know we're not.
getting two practice. >> THIS GUY'S HAVING A BLAST. >> I mean, I guess Miz did win. He got. this. Look at him. Look at that. Hold. on. Wait till he screams at the golf at. the camera. Here he screams at the. camera. Dude, I'm good at golf. [laughter]. >> I'm good. >> I'm good at golf. I am good at golf. And. then he would go on to have seven. doubles after that. Double bogeies. My. double great though. >> If that doesn't go in, that's that's. going about 40 yards past the green. Doesn't matter. Of course not. Of course. not. But. >> just say what I said about the Caddy, though. You could say the Caddy is the.
problem. >> You said the Caddy. Yeah, I would say. the Caddy is definitely not helping him. >> Thank you. Cuz more people need to have. made the truth. >> That was a two hopper. >> He had a bunch of back spit on it. I I. was. >> Take it back. Walk back. >> That was a two hopper. It was gonna It. was going to stop right there. >> TV just turned off in front of the uh. desk here. I think that's our cube. >> Show the desk here. Show the desk here, Foxy. >> Went to a loading screen. >> Oh, yeah. There it is. >> And show's over. All right. [laughter].
>> Three o' Hold on. Hold on. Three. o'clock. >> Yeah, let's go. >> Three o'clock. There's a soccer game. happening. Uh, France and Spain. A big. Oh, WHO CARES? BUT. >> WHOA. >> WHAT ARE YOU talking about? >> What? >> The game. [laughter]. >> THE TOP TWO RANKED TEAM OF THE WORLD ON. BALLOON. >> WHAT WAS [screaming] THAT? >> IT'S THE NUMBER ONE AND NUMBER TWO. WHAT. ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT, MAN? >> You guys are the easiest people.
>> Gumpy. >> THIS IS THE CHAMPIONSHIP. YOU. [screaming]. >> THIS IS NOT THE CHAMPION. BASICALLY, THE. winner of this wins THE WORLD CUP. >> HE'S BLUE playing in this. >> No, >> Gumpy. Will you at least find a space to. speak whenever you know what I mean? If. you're coming from a different place, Gumpy, you are our soccer expert, so. let's make sure we're not stepping on. you when you're singing a song that you. had Bruce singing all night last night. as he got drunk and got put into. >> Started the show with it vortex. >> Yeah. Um, no, you're good. We're over.
Show's over. Yeah. Thank you, dude. Great work though. I appreciate you. getting on that. Uh, Gumpy, tell me why. this game doesn't matter. [laughter]. >> These are the two top teams in the. world. Them, Argentina, England, top. four teams in the world, both semis. I. think Spain keeps the ball here. It's. going to be interesting cuz France has a. lot of the ball in all their games. All. right. Uh, >> you guys are saying the GAME [laughter]. IS NOT CONVINCING ME. >> I GUPPY is not CONVINCING ME. AJ,
>> WE'VE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS. >> I DIDN'T DO THE SNORING. >> JUST TUNE IN just to watch. for 10 plus 750. >> Can you guys let Gumpy talk please? This. is. these two. >> You guys are screaming over. you, Ty. >> I'm not saying anything. I know Gumpy. Yeah, this is going to be a great game. Yeah, France, Spain. I personally I. think Yamin Lamal, whatever the is, I think he absolutely stinks. I'm done. with this guy. [laughter] Not as. advertised. What I am what I am.
interested in. >> turn 19. >> is the game tomorrow. >> I hate him. I hate watching this guy. play soccer. Now on the flip side, >> he walks around. Okay. >> Does he aok and I LOVE WATCHING ME RIGHT. NOW? >> YEAH. >> A GUY [screaming]. LOU MESSI. I'm okay with it. You can. walk around however you want. You know. why? >> This I'm all [laughter] kid. Okay. I. understand. He's a weapon. Everybody. loves him. He's on. >> the best PLAYER IN THE WORLD. NO, HE'S. NOT. >> NO, HE LIED. LEON [screaming].
MESSI EXISTS. >> I DON'T KNOW IF I DON'T KNOW IF HE'D. start for [laughter]. >> us. I don't know if he would. >> All right. Why should I like Yamoon? [laughter]. He's not fully fit right now. He got. hurt at the end of the season from. Barcelona. He's kind of ramping back up. I think he he will score today. I like. the Spain squad show. >> I bet on him every game to score. a goal. This guy doesn't DO A BAD. THING. >> [laughter]. >> That's all I hear though. That's not. He's the best player in the world. He's. the best player in the world. He's the.
best player in the world. You know what. I see? I see a guy with a goofy. haircut [laughter]. >> who cannot put the ball in the back of. the net. >> I tell you what he has done. He hasn't. tapped out of a game. I'll tell you. that. Mike, >> who did that? >> The guy you're rooting for. >> You guys might. going there. >> How many goals did Holland. score? Seven. I mean, yeah, that that. that guy. >> where are they now? I MEAN, NORWAY, THEY'RE STEALING. >> YOU'RE SAYING HOLLAND has a supporting. CAST THAT HAS? ARE you kidding me? He's.
playing with a bunch of guys who are. ship painters and YOU KNOW, >> THEY'RE GREAT PLAYERS. >> I will say Odigar is he's fit and and. he's he's quality. But [laughter] all. right, there's. awesome. >> Okay. 19 years old. I need him to run my breaking record. >> Holland is my go. Holland is my goat. He's younger than Messi when he scored. his first goal at the World Cup. We're.
going to talk about. >> and he thinks he's Messi already. He's. not. Run. I am sick of watching you walk. around. I hate you score a goal if. you're going to walk around the entire. time. >> This is unbelievable. >> This guy needs to run. >> I agree. >> I need to watch. I haven't seen he does. that. He walks around with me. >> He'll be up there on top. He'll be up. there on top. He's nowhere near Messi. Messi's a wizard. This kid. >> first time he touches the ball, you'll. be like, "Oh, okay. >> Oh, that's why they see why they fast or. something.". >> A ticky taco game. >> I I almost thought it's much different.
>> But friends, that's give the ball to Lou. and move around. They're They're bing it. back and forth. >> I now I would like I would like the. international people that are going to. definitely watch what we just did. >> and say that Americans don't know Bull. Yep. I would like to let everybody know. they are right. And it turns out. >> what my eyes see with that Spain team, I. want to puke. I hate the way they play. soccer. >> They call the ball too much. >> I can't wait to watch it. Honestly, you. you've inspired me to watch. >> Hate it. I hate the way the Spaniards.
play soccer. That That is what I have. decided. I I think it's disgusting. I. don't like it. I I I absolutely hate it. On that note, Imbop. >> the way they play, >> I like the way I like watching the game. play. They play a different game. >> Yeah, they play they Yeah, it's like. respectable. >> They're all front for those. >> It's unbelievable. >> Yeah, they're attacked. They all have it. on a string. >> Don't worry about it. >> So, England, I I like watching England, too, cuz they got a couple guy. They got. Jude and obviously.
>> soccer, >> but their entire team obviously knows. And then Argentina, it's like it's. messy. >> It's just Lou. >> Yeah. So, it's his last time playing for. Argentina. He'll be on America in four. years from now. That that happens. tomorrow at 3:00. obviously take care. It's very quiet in here. We were just. screaming. >> It's all right. >> I got a little beatated up over you all. there. >> Yeah, >> he stinks though. >> Not as like a player, but like I. that guy. >> I'm going to do. Did you happen to see the bags that. Shregs walked out of here with? [laughter].
>> That's going to be me in about 10. minutes. >> Yep. >> All right. I'm happy you got the Shreger. routine down. So some stuff, you know, >> in this particular position that I have, which is a very uh a cool one and. honored to have it, you know, kind of. guiding where we head on a daily basis. through conversations. We don't have a a. block bot. We just have a list of. headlines, okay, of things that have. happened. There's this thing could lead. the show if I have we happen to see it a. minute before we go. This is not like a. block blog through this entire thing. We.
we kind of just go wherever you guys see. this. We're an ADHD show. I mean, it's. how it is. Some things though are for. the good of sport. We're going to talk. about these things for the good of. stories, for the good of um just us. having the platform that we have and I. think responsibility to people. And. there are some things that are just 100%. for me. >> Okay. [snorts]. >> What we just did there was 100% for me. That was the easiest toss just right. over to this group right here and just. have a full meltdown. Tai last night at. about 2:15 a.m. had that yumalt take and.
it was a little louder and a little bit. more color, but I'm happy you still got. it here in this state of mind, too. I. because. >> And I'm glad I got it out cuz guess. what? I don't remember saying. that. [laughter]. [laughter]. >> I. knew I knew it was in there. So, I would. like to let the spers know I don't. necessarily feel the way that I just. said I felt. I was trying to get one. person to get going there. And I'll tell. you what, it worked. >> And I'll let everyone in on a little.
secret. I don't necessarily care or feel. that way either, [laughter] but I just, you know what, that's that's Hey, it's. World Cup fever. >> Yeah, we're in there. It is emotion. >> Yeah, it's Yeah, exactly. [laughter]. >> It has been unbeliev I'm telling you. that England game I went to in Miami was. one of the coolest things I've ever been. a part of in my life, man. >> Yeah, I I'm happy you got a chance to. experience that. Uh Gumpy was down in. Miami, second home of his. Y. >> obviously has a lot of connection down. there at one particular club more so. than other places. So he certainly loves.
that. >> We happen to pay for maybe a celebration. for Olympic team and now Gumpy is. obviously reaping the benefits of. [laughter] that. And and by the way, as. he should. >> go online, >> someone's got to do it. >> Yeah, cuz I can't. >> There we go. Go online. >> You should do that, guys. >> I mean, okay, that is a badge of honor. >> Yeah. Thank you for representing for all. of us down there and uh shout out to. Gino and all the boys down there. But um. >> Gumpy did a yacht down there. I mean.
>> Oh, he was showing me some pictures. >> Yeah, Gumpy Gumpy was living down there. He was supposed to leave on Friday. Okay. He was supposed to get out there. on Friday. Yeah. >> And then. >> I don't know if he was the one that. found out whenever he got down there or. if some one of us told him, but England. was playing in Miami like two days later. or whatever from when he was supposed to. leave. And we all told him like, "Hey, how often are you going to get to see. your team go?" We didn't even think. about England losing at and thank god. they didn't that first goal. Very good. game. >> Yeah, it was a great game and Gumpy was. right in the middle of all the English.
people and Gumpy, it's true that as soon. as a goal is scored, all the English. just. >> toss their beers, right? >> Beer everywhere. I was just covered in. beers. 108°. I mean, it was absolute. chaos. >> How much are those beers? >> They're about 26 bucks, I think, at the. the Miami stadium there. >> I'm telling you, that's the most crazy. thing I've seen cuz when England scores, you do see it in the crowd. It's like. beers flying everywhere and it's like. that's got to be a gimmick or something. because those beers are way too. expensive. It's like nope. >> Just a guy just go a line. HOW IS IT? [screaming].
>> SEE, I ALWAYS JUST assumed it was their. piss cuz they didn't want to go to the. bathroom. They would drink their beer. and then piss in the cups and then they. would just throw the piss. >> Well, they used their piss for mouthwash. though. So, I don't know if they would. throw. >> in the air. for. >> Let's get out of here. Shout out to the. SPC. [laughter]. >> We might be back here tomorrow. >> Maybe. >> Hopefully. It is a really nice room. >> It's a really nice room. >> Check. I mean, that thing is sick. >> Shout out to Hummer. Love what you guys. We'll be over there in a second.
>> Yeah. Thank you for giving us. >> Can [clears throat] I get a better roof? >> It rains in my car. >> Just like that roof. >> This guy says he's never heard of that. >> It's an electric car. There's no way. >> I don't know if this guy's actually seen. a Hummer before. just hit with the actually face. >> He said user air. >> User air. I didn't touch it, bro. I just. bought the thing. >> So, you would be the user. >> But on that note, it is a wonderful. convenience just to be able to plug that. thing in and just get back and forth.
>> Tell that to the kids. >> Shout out to you guys. >> Tell the freaking kids, man. [laughter]. >> My daughter loves. How about that? >> I ain't talking about I ain't talking. about your daughter. Well, you need to. maybe start thinking about her a little. bit more than those other kids that. you're talking about from a meme on. Instagram. Be a friend. Tell a friend. Something nice. >> It might change their life. AJ, great to. see you, buddy. It's been a while. >> Da da, great performance last night. >> Hey, it's been great being back. Love. it. Good today. >> Debb. went looking for Tai last night.
>> All of us saw Tai get up and leave out. of nowhere. >> and uh at the game. >> No, at the bar last night that we kind. of commandeered. Yep. And uh about. 1:45ish, 2 o'clockish, Ty just got up and left. [clears throat]. >> And he was in no state to probably be. just by himself roaming. >> Yeah. >> And we all took like 5 to 10 minutes. just being like, "Well, we thought he. went to the bathroom." And then. everybody's like, "No, he just he just. he just left." And then Debo's I'll go. Debb gets up, goes out there, and Debb.
disappears. I'm like, "Well, we just. lost Debbot as well." So we thought. everybody was gone. Debb comes back and. goes, "Ty found the Cheesecake Factory. of Bodega. [laughter] Oh, >> I did. And I did. I came back with four. bags. And he came back four. He said he. spent $140. [laughter]. Yeah. >> Left to go home to eat the cheesecase. >> Borrow. [laughter]. >> He had a bag of cheeseburger. >> Yeah. >> I was concerned because he had left a. freshly ordered drink. >> Oh. >> So that was like, okay. >> But he did take his phone though. But he. did take his phone.
>> The phone. But the drink the drink being. left concerned me. >> Do you come in with five bags back from. that bodega at 2:15 a.m.? is hungry. >> and we're going to do it again after. this. >> You got to do what you got to do. You. got to do what you got to do. >> Okay. Who's our pick for France? Spain. We don't have a bet. Our bet are. >> France. France. >> France. >> France. >> Yeah, we hate France. >> France. Yeah. I ain't I ain't. doing it again with that. >> France. >> Dumpy. Who do you like? >> Spain to qualify. >> He's scared of France. >> Yeah, he is. >> Yeah. England. shaking in their boots.
>> You need to worry about Lou. >> I don't think so. Well, yeah. Actually, FIFA will just kind of find a way to. push them through. So, >> yep. I heard it's a good rep for them. We'll talk about that tomorrow. Be a. friend. Tell a friend something nice. about might change your life. Let's. enjoy the hell out of this life. Kinley, good work, bub. >> Baby, thank you. Thank you. Y. >> Doug, you want to come here? >> Yeah. Yeah. >> You're already on the show. You're. already on camera. You want to come. here? >> Doug, >> there it is. >> Doug, >> Kaitlin, you got anything to say, team? >> Bless Jesus.
>> Hell yes. >> Okay. Thank you, Kaitlin. I'm going to. steal that. >> Amen. >> Yeah. Amen. >> We need that. Actually, we do need that. team on me. We'll be back tomorrow. Shout out to the SPs. Thank you for the. space. We I don't know how many people. we pissed off in here, but we walked in. here with people pissed off at us. Anyway, >> who cares? >> The guy that runs this thing. Interesting guy. I hope he does a good. show. >> He won't [snorts]. >> team on. I like that. Hey, you. Look at that. kid not doing it. Yeah. All right. Thank.
you. Yeah. What's up, dude? Super handsome. He looks really cool. Thank you. >> He's in too. Oh, he's not. >> Team on me. Team on three. Oh, Hummer's. not in. Wow. It's cuz they got a leaky. roof. ONE, TWO, THREE. GOODBYE. >> Still up. Hey, >> DUMPY'S VISA JUST GOT APPROVED.
>> NICE. USA. USA. USA. USA. >> WAY TO GO, GUMPY. >> NOW, Gumpy is just a mere 5 years away. from trying to pass a test. >> Let's go. Five. >> And become an American citizen. On that. note, Dumpy has not had to learn. something and then apply it since he was. 17 years old. Start studying now. >> His confidence is way too high to pass.
that test. Gumpy, you have five years to. try to learn about the Declaration of. Independence in the United States of. America. We should start studying now. But on that note, you are the epitome of. the American dream, Gumpy. And you. should be incredibly proud of yourself. And shout out to the politicking that we. actually had to do to do all this. And. shout out to you getting approved, Gumpy. And to. uh uh. >> West Virginia Senator. >> Yeah. >> Tommy Duke. >> Capito. Oh, what's her name? What's her. name? Gumpy.
>> trying to find it right now. >> Oh no. >> Yikes. >> Gumped. >> Uh yeah, Capido. >> Senator [snorts] Capedo. >> Senator Capedo. >> West Virginia. >> Matt Gumpy at the College World Series. >> And uh I go, "Hey, what's the deal with. not being able to get this? Like this is. way too hard. This guy is one of one. He's the only person that can have this. job. He didn't graduate college.". >> Okay. >> Okay. He could have.
>> He could have. >> He could have. He's He's. >> He went to school of hard knocks, guys. He's a Santainer. clown college. >> Was that the official. >> graduated with honors? >> Wait, you went to PCC? >> Yeah, that's [laughter] that's a tough. thing to sell to the American government. on why he should take a space in. America. From what we found out, >> Miss Capito went crazy for We appreciate. her a lot. We also appreciate uh Senator. from Indiana. Uh God,
>> Todd Young. Todd Young helped us in this. entire thing. We [snorts] appreciate. that. And uh Gumpy, I'm proud of you, buddy. It's uh. >> this is a big day for us, actually. We've been very worried about that. We. thought Gumpy was about to get another. 10ear ban. >> Like that was really thrill. >> We could have hit him. >> Yeah. How would you hide him? >> How little he is. >> Shave his beard. Give him a toupe. Whole. different guy. >> Yeah. Especially with his little shoes, too. We could have just sm. everything, [laughter] brother. Okay. All right. Be for something nice. Uh.
