the running. >> You got in Berkeley, California. >> You got it. We did it.
This one's for three. AJ Hawk. $5,000. Oh my god.
Hey, hey, hey. You make me want you put my hands up. My. hands up all again now.
USA. USA. USA. You.
come on in. Come on.
A. Woo!
The following program is a collection of. students talking about happenings in the. sports world. It is meant to be comedic. informative. The opinions expressed on. this show do not necessarily reflect the. beliefs of their peers, their boss or. ESPN. There may be some cuss words. because that's how humans in the real. world talk. If you are a young, please.
seek permission before watching any. further. >> Hey, let's go. >> This show sticks and the fact that you. listen, we are very, very thankful. with a gorgeous assist. >> The alltime leading tackler for the. Green Bay Packers. You pick. it. >> Damn it. Tell your friend tell a friend. something nice could change their life.
>> Hello beautiful people and welcome to. our humble abode for this massive. overreaction Monday in Santa Clara, California. This program begins now. >> FOOTBALL IS THE greatest sport on earth. We have been celebrating it obviously. since it kicked off its miraculous. season this year. Now, there has been. some massive moves made this morning. 31.
teams in the NFL have a general manager. at this exact moment. The Indianapolis. Colts have relieved Chris Ballard of his. duty in his 10th season as the Colts GM. Chris Ballard was our GM, but he's also. another GM, a good man. >> Chris Ballard was a good man. He loved. his guys so much so that he rode them. all the way into a run here with the. Indianapolis Colts that didn't have a. lot of victorious celebrating moments. Uh 10 years, haven't won the AFC South. We did make it to the playoffs with Phil.
Rivers, but Phil Rivers being our. quarterback is kind of the story of the. Chris Ballard run. Andrew Luck retires. uh less than two weeks before the season. kicks off. And ever since that moment, Chris Ballard had been chasing the. quarterback position. He tried to build. up a team, try to build up an offensive. line, but he never really found his. franchise quarterback. Now, is that on. him? Definitely. He had a lot of time to. figure it out. Even a number four. overall pick to figure it out. Anthony. Richardson came in with not a lot of. reps. Didn't have a lot of experience. He's going to need that. He gets.
injured. He continues to do stuff that. makes you think it's not just his fault. That building has got to have some. problems within it. Chris Ballard, I. think, loved his guys so much that he. gave him a lot of leeway. I think Chris. Ballard was kind of a uh hey let's have. a kumbaya type building. That's a good. thing if you're winning, but if you. continue to lose and there's some re no. repercussions for things, people start. to wonder if your culture is a winning. culture. Now going into this season uh. after last season whenever we lose uh. seven straight games to end the season. We're two and 11 in the last 13 games. I.
mean it is bad bad bad for the. Indianapolis Colts. Carly Ers, Kaylin. Ersce, Casey Ers Gordon. They become uh. sorry, Kaya. Yeah. Ka. >> Carly Ers Gordon. >> Casey Ers Foy, Kayn Jackson Boyd. >> Well done. >> Yeah. >> Okay. Three sisters, daughters of Jim. I'm a huge fan of all three of them. They are now outright owners. After last. season, we thought there was going to be. sweeping change. Hey, there's no loyalty.
between us and you. This is a new. building. There hasn't been a lot of. success. I think a lot of people. expected it that were Colts fans. I. think it would have been very understood. if it was to happen after last season. Instead, kick the can down the road. This is now the year where everything. has to happen. Well, it hasn't. They pay. Alec Pierce, the biggest contract in the. history of wide receivers at the time. He gets hurt, was hurt, still is hurt, hasn't really played. Daniel Jones gets. a $100 million contract. He does not. play like he played for the first nine. weeks of the Indianapolis Colts season. last year where we were number one in.
the entire world. He's recovering from. an Achilles. Let's assume it's maybe a. slow back. But everything they thought. was going to happen this year has not. happened. And the defense can't stop us. And then yesterday they lose to the. shidiest team in the history of ball. The Tennessee Titans at home after. having a 13-point lead at halftime. So. everything has gone bad. I think Chris. Ballard understands the nature of the. business. I think Chris Ballard knew. that this was probably coming. He even. said before the season, I wouldn't take. a new contract. We got to win. So, I. don't know if he was saying they were.
trying to pay me and I was saying you. should not be doing that. Okay, I should. have to prove this a little bit. Or if. he was saying, I understand the. situation entirely going into this year. We got to get it. He spent money. He's. paid a lot of players. Guys have been. drafted here, got second contracts here, almost on their third contracts here. This culture is 100% theirs in this. Colts building, and they haven't been. able to win. And yesterday was the. shidest performance of all. And Adam. Vinitary went into the Ring of Honor at. halftime, >> man. >> And I will say Adam Vinitary looked.
fantastic. He shouted out the Colts. fans. He shouted out everything going. on. But he did say at the end of it, it's a bad day to be a Titan. >> Oh, >> he did. >> And in that second half, the Titans. said, "Actually, just like it has been. for a while now, it's a bad day to be a. Colt." Well, >> Chris Ballard, no longer a member of the. Colts organization. He was a good man. He was good for the city of. Indianapolis. I think he took care of. people in there too much. show maybe. that led to all of this. So, we move to. the next era. His assistant general. manager, which I don't know how that.
helps. >> Okay. I don't know how just the guy who. made all the decisions with the guy. >> is now in charge. And then what's he. going to do? Is is he going to be the. one that potentially reloads this team. for whoever the next GM is? >> Is he currently doing a uh interview to. be the next GM? if he was to if they. were to hire from within this general. manager, I don't think that would be a. good move. So, I appreciate Dods who. will be leading everybody for the rest. of the year doing this, but him and. Boward were like uh hawk and animal.
Yeah, peanut butter and jelly. These. guys uh Hulk and Macho when they were. getting along. I mean, these guys were. like tag team partners. So, Chris. Ballard gets fired, this guy comes in. I. don't know what the difference is and I. don't know how you're supposed to handle. that situation, but I do know we have. some pieces on our roster that if we are. to start a reload, which I don't want us. to do. I'm not saying that we have to do. that entirely. Jonathan Taylor, you. could probably get a one for. >> Sure, >> you could probably get a one, which we. don't have any because we traded for S. Gardner to Forest Buckner, unbelievable.
football player. Jonathan Taylor as. well. They don't need to be going down. with the ship. The Forest Buckner. actually came out and said, "I'm about. done with this thing." Okay. He is so. good at football. Quentyn Nelson, he's. on his last year of contract here. He's. been phenomenal for us. Incredible. football player. Does he deserve and do. we deserve to potentially try to get. something for Quentyn Nelson as we try. to go forward because somebody will. probably offer up something very very. nice for Quentyn Nelson or are those. three guys including Daniel Jones and. Alec Pierce who have been paid the. pillars for the next start? That's a. decision has to be made by who? Dods. >> Ed. So I I don't I don't know how I.
feel. I don't know I don't know what's. going to happen. But I do know as a. person who is a season ticket holder, paying season ticket holder for the. Indianapolis Colts, I would like to see. us be good cuz boy, those first eight. weeks last year were everything we had. dreamed of. Now, there's a lot more to. talk about the NFL. It had a fantastic. Sunday. Kind of a shite slate, some. boring games. We had some magical. storylines happen and something coming. out of Philadelphia with Jaylen Herz. It's obviously incredibly scary. We'll. be talking to Adam Sheper later this. hour as we get to the bottom of all. that. There's a lot to talk about. Let's.
go to the talks table at Boston Connor. and Ty Schmidt. Congrats to you guys. Your team standing great. >> Four and two. >> Thank you. 42. >> Not two and four. >> Okay. Two and four will get your general. manager fired. Four and two. Ty, we'll. start with you. What a win. No. Micah, no problem. The last couple weeks you. guys pound the Cowboys. >> Yeah. I mean, the Packers are just kind. of starting to get right. All feels. right in the world again. But I'll be. honest, the uh the defense, that's. really the the big takeaway here. Jordan. Love, he played well enough last night. a lot of drops which uh would love to.
see the Packers kind of clean that up. but and you know Debbut would know more. about this than I would but their. secondary is just hounding that Dak was. so confused last night obviously that's. a unfortunate situation CD falls down. but I tell you what yeah without Micah. it the whole thing was hey just kind of. kind of weather the storm and make sure. the boat doesn't fill up with too much. water but boy the way the Packers are. playing right now the way their defense. is playing uh particularly I'm not I'm. not so sure when Micah gets back you're. not looking at the best team IN THE NFC. WOW.
49ERS PLAYING TONIGHT. They're. undefeated and very, very dominant. A. lot of people talk about Brock Party. winning uh potential MVP this year. Good. for him. Cannot wait to talk about this. Monday Night Football game that we're. very lucky to be covering on ESPN 2 with. Field Pass. Outrageous that we're doing. that. Connor, congratulations. Drake May. is an ass. Seems like he is the guy. They're pointing to that moment where. Vel had his hands on both his shoulders. saying, "Listen up, kid. It's only going. to get better from here. You just keep. on working. Keep grinding." Now, another. year in the system, another year of. success, a lot of experience. You.
thought Drake May was going to hit the. ground running this season. Instead, it. takes him a couple weeks. He flips the. switch. He's unconscious. You guys are. really good at football again, huh? >> Yeah, we're unbelievable. And to your. point, I think Drake May has 11. touchdowns and one turnover since that. variable moment. I think he has like 800. passing yards over the last three games. There's nothing like playing the Jets on. a Sunday because you just know how it's. going to end up. I saw that squid over. there in that Jets hat and I immediately. laughed in his face as soon as I saw. good lad. Felt kind of bad for him but. really gave it to him. Cackled and.
everything. But yes, the Patriots all. the way back. AJ Brown, he had a few. drops. People are talking about it. yesterday, but he came back. He was. getting open all day. Romeo Dobs goes. down early. They're dealing with. injuries. And the next guy is stepping. up. I think that's the most encouraging. thing. Every team deals with injuries. How are you going to bounce back? We've. had a bunch of different, you know, linemen in and out. Didn't matter. Drake. May is dialed in. He's putting the ball. anywhere he wants. And you know, Mike. Vrabel's at the helm, baby. He He is. leading these boys like never before. >> Yeah. Offensive line injuries are.
normally a recipe for disaster. Remember, Mike Frabel was able to lead. the Tennessee Titans to the number one. seed in the AFC with like 119 different. players. >> He's an unbelievable coach. That's why. when he goes back to New England, we all. wonder how it's possible. And from this. moment forward, Drake May has been back. to being what we all thought Drake May. was going to be coming into the year. Let's go to one half of the hammer. Don. Cowboys AP Tone. The Steelers do. something that the Steelers never do. Yeah, >> Steelers don double digits late. Come. back, win it in overtime.
Congratulations, Tone Digs. The Steelers. might be. >> the brand new. Steelers. It's a cardiac situation still with him, but the offense can get you back. The. defense still plays. And Mike McCarthy. battling through injury. He got stepped. on. was in the blue 10 at halftime. >> Yeah. To to your point, it kind of is a. brand new Steelers. The Tomlin era was. awesome. Obviously had a Super Bowl, had. never had a losing season. But there was. always a game where you would go on the. road as a favorite and just come out. flat, look terrible, and lose the.
football game. And that's exactly how. yesterday started. Everything that could. go wrong did go wrong at the beginning. of the game. But then the fourth. quarter, the biggest fourth quarter. comeback they've had since Tommy Gun in. 2002. Fun fact, that's actually the game. when Renegade started. So that that's. how long it's been since something like. that happened. They didn't they scored. on every single drive in the fourth. quarter and overtime. They Jamal Dean. who was on the Bucks last season came. back. He had a huge interception. So. yeah, and it that was a game that in. past seasons they definitely would have. lost. They came back feeling really.
good. And I am a little worried about. Big Mike and his foot ankle on a long. flight over to France this week. I don't. know what happened to him. I don't want. to speculate what happened to him. I. believe he said he was stepped on, but. I'm worried about the big guy on that. long flight over to France this week a. little bit. >> Yeah. Heading over to Paris. We we. bonjour shava au. fantast. >> Actually, there's some local unrest. I. don't know what there's a bit of local. unrest that we need to. >> monitor. But isn't there local unrest. everywhere? >> There is a a bit of local unrest. everywhere, but uh there's a lot of.
molotov cocktails. >> Unrest. Unrest. Drinking. Yeah. Buildings buildings that have been up. since the 1700s are falling. Just a just. a situation to monitor this week. >> Yeah, we certainly will. in the NFL we. know can everybody put their swords down. >> especially big Mike. >> hope big Mike McCarthy going over there. >> he's going to make it what do you mean. >> Saints are scheduled to leave tonight. for Paris where they play the Steelers. next Sunday at Stad France despite. intense riots and social unrest there. the NFL says the game is on preparations.
continue scheduled for NFL events in the. game at Stad France next Sunday. wish I would have known the word for. Sunday right there the NFL said we. continue to work closely with local. authorities and partners on all. operational and security matters. We are. also providing the two clubs with. regular updates. There's been no. disruption or impact at least. >> Good news. >> Don't you worry about it. >> We got Roger Goodell. He's got a little. meet and greet situation setting up. There's been zero unrest. There's been a. lot of excitement. Actually, I'm seeing. what you're seeing on the internet. I. think.
>> that's the internet. Better be a good. game. They're going to be pissed. >> No. No. >> You don't want You don't want social. football. >> Big Michael. Hey, subtle D. >> It'll be a good football game. Hey, listen. They should try to play good. early though, not not make it wait to. the fourth. I don't know they got enough. patience to kind of learn about football. over at Stoddard the fronts. But we will. say remember growing the game is good. tone. It is the game. >> Growing the game is good. That's why we. have an opportunity to do what we're. doing tonight on ESPN 2 field pass. A. man who will be alongside me and Dan. Orowski on the field. Nine-year NFL vet. Darius J.
>> Ballers. Can't wait. >> Debbot, how you doing pal? Life is good. Can't wait for this commander game. Niners looking to continue to showcase. that they're the best team in ball. And. then the Commanders are trying to bounce. back after whatever the hell happened at. the end of last week's game against the. Giants in which they tied. >> Yeah, got to get that stench off of them. for sure. And the best way to do that is. to get a big win on prime time. So, I'm. sure that's what they want to see their. fan base. Jaylen Daniel, Jaden Daniels. getting back out there, get being. himself, being healthy. He ran the ball. well. We'll see. Um, and I feel like. going into this game, you see it's a.
seven and a half point spread. This is. one of those games you come in like, okay, guaranteed Niners going to beat. the crap out of these guys. But no, the. way this this season's been going, not. only in the NFL, college, just football, you got to play these games to see how. it's going to play out. So, I'm excited. about tonight, man. >> Yeah, I'm pumped. Uh Brock Pro just five. pass attempts away from having the. highest passer rating in the history of. the NFL. >> Crazy. >> I think you have to have like 2,000. passes to qualify or 1500 passes to. qualify uh pass attempts to qualify. Highest passer rating in the history of. the NFL. He will surpass Lamar Jackson.
who's currently sitting at the top. They. need him to get back healthy for. Baltimore. We'll be on the sideline. and. the boys will be up in a booth. somewhere. The stadium is beautiful. >> Oh yeah, >> it's new. It's modern. Was built in. 2014. 68,500 people, they say. And the. differentiator is it's right in the. middle of Silicon Valley. And you say, I've heard of Silicon Valley. What is. Silicon Valley? Well, Silicon Valley is. actually the place that uh has uh homed. the Apple, Google, Facebook, Nvidia, Intel, Huelet, Packard, YouTube, Netflix, Tesla, eBay, PayPal, Yahoo,
Cisco, LinkedIn, Adobe, WhatsApp, Instagram, Uber, and Open AI that. everybody loves. That is right around. how they power all that. >> Well, so. >> funny enough, >> that electro substation is right there. I I mean, we walked past it earlier. today, got a picture in front of it. We. You know, that's when we got in there. >> But we've continued to chitchat about. how they got to shut that thing down. >> They got to shut that thing down.
>> Yeah. >> Yeah. Okay. >> Yeah. >> You think they're going to turn off. power to the place that creates all the. [ __ ] that needs power to be create just. around? Let alone the amusement park. It's right over here. >> Yeah. Exactly. >> They got 102 foot drop 90° angle. How. you doing? Keep moving. I don't know if. a lot of people are getting on rides. I. would after what happened last week, I. will be excited to see the numbers on. amusement parks after what we've seen. down there in Georgia. Never at. Kennywood, but down there at Georgia. with what took place. This place has a. lot of very important to society [ __ ]. going on. I don't know if they're just. going to shut down the electro. substation because George KD's Achilles.
goes out or because somebody gets a. hamstring. We don't like that. But we. got to It was a reminder. We drove by. Microsoft's headquarters. >> There was a Google satellite thing. There was some NASA thing. >> that had some big tall build. Are they. building rocket ships or is there an. alien in there? >> You forget about the [ __ ] that's around. We were in San Francisco for the state. uh Super Bowl. Yep. >> This is a vastly different place and. this is. >> this is a lot of innovation and. trillions of dollars around here that. need power. I don't know if they're.
shutting this thing down for football. even though I'm bummed out about it. >> No. Yeah. Listen, everybody loves. football. We all love football. It's. very important to our day-to-day uh. lives. In the grand scheme of things, they do not give a [ __ ] about that. You. just mentioned that there's all this all. these things that kind of run the world. on a day-to-day basis. So, yeah, if Fred. Warner is going to, you know, tear a. hamstring or George KD is going to tear. his Achilles, that's kind of just the. tax you have to pay because guess what? Do you want to log on to Twitter? Do you. want to be able to search, you know, how. long Fred Warner is going to be out on.
Google. You can't do that if they get. rid of this substation. So, the. substation's going to stay and uh it's. just something that the 49ers are going. to have to deal with. >> Yeah. And we are just I I think we have. been very pro shut it down. Definitely. >> We've been very pro. Shut it down. >> I don't think it's ever gonna happen. >> It's not. >> My vision's been extremely blurry since. we got here, though. >> Really? >> Yeah. >> Are you okay? >> My back hurts like hell. >> My elbow, too. >> Now that you mention it, both in Miami. >> Yeah. Headache. >> How about you? Headache. >> Yeah. Just popped. >> Time to move the practice facility. I.
think we need to pivot to that. Substation stays. Time to move the. niners. >> We will say there's a youth soccer park. >> Yep. directly next to get the kids stadium. Good looking part, too. >> But just a heads up, one just a final. reminder. Uh. >> self-driving cars were invented here. Yeah. As well. >> Is that a good Is that a good thing? >> They're nowhere else but here. >> I'm just telling you, man. >> How about the fly ones? >> How about the silicone integrated? How. about the silicone integrated circuit? >> Okay. Fairchild, what's that name? Uh.
Fairchild Semiconductor helped develop. the practical silicone chip in 1959. It's a major reason the region is. literally called Silicon Valley. >> Great. There you have it. >> So, they've been cooking stuff around. here. Pretty important to society. I. don't know if they're necessarily just. going to change all that up because. football players are practicing here, but we think they should. We would like. to stay firm on that. Okay. Every. Monday, we are incredibly lucky that we. get a chance to recap the NFL Sunday. slate that was before we catapult Monday. Night Football into the actual moon. Tonight's going to be an epic game, we.
do believe. But yesterday had storylines. in abundance. What are the top five? Top. five. Top five in our eyes driven by Ram. truck. Now, I don't know how many Ram. trucks are out here. Oh, >> not a lot. Not as many as we're. >> I couldn't even imagine dropping a Ram. truck right in the faces of some of. these people and just letting them know, hey, when I hit this gas pedal right. here, the only thing you're going to. hear is, I'm sure they love good power. >> I'm sure they love good luxury. I'm sure. they love the fact you can drive this. thing on the road or take it into the.
dirt. A Ram truck is built for you. And. this top five is one that is certainly a. little bit personal. Number five, Colts. fired the GM. >> this morning. >> Yeah. The Colts fired the general. manager. Carly Ers was sick of it. >> Yeah. >> She thought the players and the coaches. have been giving their all. She'd been. on the sideline. I think she knew a. tough decision was going to have to be. made at some point. Whenever she's stuck. with Chris Ballard and Shane Stikken, that was a tough decision. Now moving on. from Chris Ballard and Shane Stken, potentially Shane Stikken, that's a. tough decision. This is what it's like.
to be in the owner's seat. I think Carly. Ers has obviously very meticulously. looked over all the pros and cons of all. this. I'm sure she has somebody in mind. or at least a group of people in mind. that could potentially fill the role of. Chris Ballard. But whenever you're an. NFL franchise and your team stinks, the. fans demand change. There hasn't been. for a long time. Chris has been good for. the city as a human. Human good for the. city. Also, a lot happened. Mr. Ers. passes away. He was a very steady, very. comfortable, very likable, approachable.
person in the time of transition and. change for the franchise that, you know, is a pretty crazy undertaking for the. three daughters as they go. So, we will. certainly thank Chris the human, but as. a GM, I thought his teams were never. going to be able to win. I didn't think. they had the right culture. You write. this, you watch the Seattle Seahawks. hard knocks, they got a hard culture. You can tell they got a tough culture. They got a team that is uh accountable. to each other. When we started hearing. rumors a few years back about missing. meetings and missing treatment and just.
like it happening on a regular basis, you immediately thought to yourself, that's not a winning franchise. Now, is. that 100% on Ballard? I don't know. But. it's certainly a big piece of that is on. Ballard. So, he gets a chance now, I. guess, to go back into scouting or live. his life. And the Colts now have to make. an incredible difficult decision of what. the future looks like and who gets to. stay. Deb, but seemingly long time. coming. I don't know. But then very. quick here after week six, first firing. of the year. >> Yeah. Long time coming, I think, without.
uh winning the division, being been in a. place 10 years. You know, the it's a. results driven business. And then. yesterday having, you know, Vinnie in. there going to Ring of Honor, having all. those legends in those blue jackets in. the building. I'm sure there were, you. know, conversations with ownership. And. look, it's going to start all these. franchise starts ownership level, then. you go front office, you go head coach, you go quarterback. So that's where all. the question, that's where all the blame. is going to go. So, I think, you know, it's it's part of it. He, like you said, he is a good man. He put the roster. together. As general manager, you got to. find a quarterback. He tried to find a.
quarterback. We thought we had it with a. few different guys. We went and drafted. Anthony Rich for overall. That didn't. pan out. We went and got Dan Jones. He. kind of looked like a different guy last. year. This year, not so much going. backwards. So, it's tough. I don't think. this is going to be the last domino that. falls, but definitely uh the first. biggest one. And like I said, those. legends in the building, the Blue. Jackets. But I mean even more than that, even bigger than that, once I saw the. flow. >> Yeah. >> Once I saw the flow tweeted out, >> it's time to reset the horseshoe. >> This is not my. >> I knew I knew change was coming. I knew.
change was coming. >> This is not my. >> This is big, man. This is not my team. I. used to bleed. He said that. >> Hey, listen. They they gave him. >> the Indianapolis Colts organization. >> Mhm. gave Seth the flow a halftime. concert in front of 65,000 people. Yeah. >> They sent him to the Super Bowl. >> They gave him They. >> the Colts organization. WHAT'S SO FUNNY. FOXY? >> FY.
>> What's so funny? >> You guys aren't supposed to hear me back. here. >> Foxy problem. >> He's under a tent today. >> This is awesome. >> Set the flow. I I mean, he was given the. world by the Colts organization. So when. I see him say reset the shoe, I'm like. geez. Yeah, >> that was the last draw. >> Get him. The guy they gave a concert to. >> ownership saw that and said, "We got to. make a change.". >> Now, maybe that was the case. Whatever. it was, Connor, you're a taxpayer. >> That's right. >> A citizen of Indianapolis. >> That's got to suck for you. >> You've been owed. You are. >> No. [ __ ] this guy. It's his fault. Go to.
show. Oh, I'm guaranteeing a win. That. ain't my county. >> They were up by 13. My Colts minus 15. look great. And I'm not calling. Indianapolis Paris, but there's been. local unrest in that city for quite some. time. Okay? Sure, we're seeing it. yesterday and this morning about it, but. it is damn near close. And I don't know. what it is about Colts fans, but they. worked themselves into a shoot, brother. They thought they were going 13 and four. this year. >> I THOUGHT WE WERE GOING 13 AND I KNOW I.
GET THAT. I get the hope, but when you. see the product and everything, it just. none of it makes sense. I mean, the best. damn pass rusher in the draft going all. the way back to that and then they're. calling him latte latte. I mean, there's. so many different aspects of the team. that just suck. >> Let's wrap this up. >> I love Daniel Jones. >> We love Daniel Jones. He's coming back. from an Achilles. I guess we're playing. a little time. He He's He. >> We're not making excuses here. >> No, we're talking about everybody's. thinking right now. >> Alec Pierce was a weird walker.
>> Earl, >> he got hurt. >> He's a We gave him all THAT MONEY. HE. WAS HURT. THAT'S ANOTHER That's a final. decision. >> Two first rounds. >> Sauce sauce is going to get good. Sauce. going to get good. Might be able to get. some for sauce. You know, like that's. what I'm saying. Ed Do's going to have. to make some decisions here on the. future pretty quickly before this trade. deadline, which is in November. >> Well, maybe not. Then somebody's going. to have to start making these. Are we. building around these guys because. that's what we've been doing. Are we. going to try to get some picks for these. guys? Like there's some really good. players that are wasting away right now. Jonathan Taylor,
>> all time leader in touch. >> So good at football. >> Yes. so so good at football. It it is. outrageous how strong he is, how. powerful he is. He's going to get into. the end zone. He's going to get he's. going to do he is so good at football. We could definitely get something for. him. Now, do we want to build around. Jonathan Taylor? Definitely definitely. would like to build around a player like. Jonathan Taylor, but how long is that. going to be? Jonathan Taylor's gonna be. how old? And then, you know, Quint. Nelson, he's up after this year. Do we. build around Quinton Nelson? He's an. incredible football player. I would like. us to build around Quint Nelson. How.
long though? Do are we gonna build a. like there's a lot of very difficult. decisions. DeForest Buckner unbelievable. at football. How long are we gonna you. know there's just like a lot of. decisions with the Colts who have a lot. of good good are we going to just act. actually set the flow? >> Yeah. Reset. >> Are we going to actually reset? >> We don't have a lot of picks though. right now. I mean we've paid a lot of. people. I it's and I would just like to. go back and you can ask your honest. question. I like that you sometimes have. a lie ask questions. I like that there's. an honest question and a lie. No sarcasm.
coming in this. >> Okay, it sounds like there's going to be. quite a bit of sarcasm coming right down. the pipe cuz you just did the no offense. butt. Now, I would like to say a couple. years ago I said that I thought. >> this potential type of building. was broken. I think it it might have. been the word I used broken. This is not. a winning culture. And it was when. Anthony Richardson, our number four. overall pick, top five pick, adult by. the way, talking about him like he's a. high school kid. a lot of these people. He's a number four overall pick. Adult.
who is now a starting quarterback for a. franchise. He needed reps to get better, needed everything like that. >> But he was so comfortable somehow in. that building. He thought it was okay to. tap out of a game because he was t he's. a starting quarterback of an NFL season. of an NFL franchise, a good NFL. franchise. He taps out on third down in. the red zone against a division opponent. because he was tired. Then he came out. afterwards and said, "I was tired, man. I'm so sorry. I was just tired or. whatever." It's like how. Now, a lot of people said I was killing. him for that. Like, I kind of am. I I.
think he should naturally know that. that's not something he should have. But. also, he should not be in a building. where he thinks that that's okay. Like, he should, as he's being molded and. shaped in this young age that he was. with not a lot of reps and didn't know. football that well, clearly didn't know. football that well. He just knew that he. was more athletic, which he still is, than everybody. Him thinking it was. okay, I thought was a problem. So, you. start looking into it. It's like, well, guys are also missing this, they're. missing this, they're doing this, they're doing this. It's like, what? How. is that what the building is? I get. murdered by Colts fans online because. I'm being rude and mean to Anthony.
Richardson. It's like this guy's a. professional quarterback for our team. We are season ticket holders. We're very. invested. First of all, can't do that. But also, why does he think he can do. that? Like that's a whole another. animal. And I think that has been the. problem for the Colts for a long time. We've been trying to kick the stigma in. Indianapolis. Okay. The stigma is that. our football team's ass. And and that. that is. >> we need to kick that stigma the hell out. of there. That is what I'm hoping for. going forward. Hey, lot of football. left. We end up 13 and four.
>> So possible. >> What would you be saying? >> What would you be saying? >> Now you can ask your honest little. question. Tone Diggs living a high life. over there with Mike McCarthy and Jill. battling through an ankle sprain to go. ahead and lead a big time fourth quarter. comeback with Aaron Rogers on ball. >> Hey, remind like when I we said that. Dodd is probably not going to be making. the decisions. Wasn't Mr. Ers the GM for. like 10 years? youngest GM in NFL. history at the time. >> Carly's been on the sideline learning. and is there a chance that she is the GM. moving forward?
>> I don't know. We would have to ask her. What about Shane Stken? How much power. does Shane Stken want? >> Man, do we. >> How far behind is. >> Are we operating under the assumption. that unless they go 13 and four, Coach. Stiken's going to be gone as well? >> And Coach Dyken's probably heading out. there to the Los Angeles Chargers to be. with uh Justin Herbert next year. >> Maybe boy maybe. We'll see. Herbert's got a good life. He's got a good life. He might be done. with it. >> What I'm seeing, he might be done with. it. He. >> might.
>> All right, let's go to the number four. >> So, I think the actual airport is right. over here. We saw. >> as they've been practicing Southwest. flyovers all day for tonight. >> I like that big southwest flyover would. be Silicone Valleyish, >> you know. Actually, they would probably. do an unmanned That NASA thing was. weird. >> Big dome. That was a weird. >> hiding something in there. >> Definitely hiding something in there. Yeah, >> but it could have just been a rocket. >> I don't think so. >> Could have just been a rocket ship. >> You don't think it was a rocket? >> I think it's a 100 foot tall alien. >> Okay. What? >> Just standing there the whole time? Does.
he have. >> lay chained down to the table? >> Yeah. >> Oh, they got him. They got him. He's 100. foot and they have the huge operating. >> What do you think the sub station for? >> Boom. >> Yep. >> Got to keep that thing electrocuted. >> Oh, no. In the back was said, did you. hear it, Todd? >> No. What? ball. in the tent. >> Yeah. >> Nick said they might be cooking up the. next moon landing up there. Oh, okay. >> That would make more sense. >> Okay.
>> Not out here. >> Oh, yeah. We're not going to start that. too brute. >> We're not. Yeah, thank you. We're not. going to start that today. >> Number four headline on this. overreaction Monday. NFC East, more like. NFC league. >> MIGHT become the first division if the. Commanders were lose tonight to not win. a single game, any of their four teams. in a twoe period. Obviously have the tie. last week between two of them. Then you. have the loss, yesterday's losses. Now. we got tonight with the Commanders and. the Ners. The NFC East is obviously a. conference or division that's going to.
be on prime time a lot. A lot of big. markets. You know, you got Jerry Jones. cookie, you got New York cookie, you got. Philadelphia cookie, you got DC cookie, you got all this hype and all this kind. of uh forced attention. And if that team. and those teams are ass, it can really. make them all look bad. And this year, they've been the definition of it. Now, Philadelphia Eagle situation with Jaylen. Herz, crazy. That that's only just. beginning. Scary. That is only just. beginning uh from how it was handled, what was allowed. He was allegedly told. he couldn't sleep because this could. make it even worse. So, he running on 30. plus hours of no sleep going into an NFL.
game. How is that healthy for anybody. anytime? >> Yeah. >> And I didn't mean anybody. I meant. anybody. >> Yeah. Right. >> How is that the decision? Hey, going. into an NFL game, you'd be better off in. a fairy tale land because you haven't. slept for 30 plus hours going on the. field than sleeping with what you got. going on. Well, then why I fly over. here? Yeah. >> Cuz doesn't. >> air travel and altitude and pressure. >> Doesn't that kind of change it? >> Well, yeah, but we didn't really. And.
it's like, do I live in London now? Am I. able to fly? Yeah. Back to it. So many. questions. The handling of it is going. to be dissected. >> big time, >> especially because he's a Super Bowl MVP. franchise quarterback who was I I think. already kind of looking around, but he's. out for the season. We are obviously. pulling for him, praying for him. I. don't know if Tanner McKe is going to be. able to get them some wins. They ran. into a great Carolina Panthers team. Cowboys obviously take on a Packers team. that is seemingly absolutely on fire. And then the New York Giants down a lot. JJ McCarthy actually comes in, starts. spinning it on like 11 minutes of.
football. He throws a pick, too. Let's. not get twisted. JJ McCarthy comes in. the fourth quarter, throws a pick and. goes on to throw for 240ome. yards and goes crazy. Dyson likely gets. involved. Everybody neighbors gets invol. JJ look like a very good quarterback for. the New York Giants. Is that what they. do going forward? And then if the. commanders lose tonight, Debut, they're. talking about worst division in history, pal. That that that's what they're. saying with the record-breaking no wins. in two weeks. H a lot of special.
circumstances to get to two straight. weeks including divisional game in there. to have no wins in the division. >> Yeah, it's insane. Usually uh history. will tell you this division is like year. to year somebody else is going to win. it. So I my question is like what's the. most disappointing team in this. division? I think coming into this year. you thought the Eagles were going to be. good. Definitely thought the Cowboys. were going to be good. All the talk was. hey it's quiet. Jerry Jones is quiet. They're building the monster. You know. Christian Parker how he's going to fix. the defense. these un unbelievable. weapons on offense. Dak is gonna play at.
the MVP level. He came out the gates. playing hot, but I've been more. disappointed by Dallas. Most. disappointed by Dallas, I would say, because all the things going on with. Philly. Didn't expect much from the. Commanders, honestly. But what's going. on here, how they look last night on. prime time, I feel like Jonathan Ganon. ran circles around Shotti when it comes. to that offense. I don't think Dak knew. what was coming. They were unbelievable. And Jordan Love is playing his best. football. Made them look bad as well on. defense. I'm most disappointed with the. Cowboys because that's where I think. most the expectations were. But yeah, you look at this whole division is very.
it's kind of embarrassing at this point. in the season. >> Yeah, I uh I'm pumped for the Packers. though and for the Carolina Panthers. love what they got going on. And tonight. the Niners could prove that they're the. best team in ball or the Commanders. could say hold on. >> NFL is impossible to predict. All these. teams that are asked right now might. actually flip a switch and become a. problem down the stretch. >> Yeah. That's what's crazy is, you know, obviously it's going to be a tall order, but that if the Commanders win tonight, like they're right back in it. Like. there's a chance that they because I. think you can kind of unfortunately with.
the Eagles, you can kind of just write. them off. The chances of them making the. playoffs with no Jaylen Herz now. probably not great. We'll see what. happens with the Giants. I agree with. the Cowboys. It's just like they're just. incredibly disappointing. And you know, we we could go from last week where it's. basically like, hey, you know, Dan. Quinn's going to get fired at some. point. We don't know when it's going to. be, but how do you let that happen? If. they somehow beat the Niners tonight, like they might be right back in the. driver's seat to win this division. And. that that is also one of the things we. kind of talk about year in year out. It. is kind of joke that one of these teams. is going to win this division and get a.
home playoff game. And a team with, you. know, an 11-6 record might get left out. >> People are going to get mad about it. every single year about who makes the. playoffs, who doesn't make the playoffs, why they get a home playoff game. That's. just the way it is. And you're never. going to give up a uh a potential home. playoff game. I know owners are going to. vote on changing the tried to change it. >> Yes, they certainly did. Many did. Let's. go to number three headline coming out. of the weekend, shall we? The Chiefs is. still the Chiefs. And guess what? >> They might be even better. >> Yeah, >> the Chiefs might be even better than. they've ever been. Now, is that because. K9's there? Yeah. The last 17 games,
Kenneth Walker, the third has 1,934. yards from scrimmage. >> on 330 touches. And his last 17 games, the Seahawks and Chiefs, they're 16-1. >> Crazy. Kenneth Walker is a winner. Now, Charbanet not being healthy for the. Seattle Seahawks and them not having. their one running back, certainly a. spotlight on Kenneth Walker not being. their Super Bowl MVP. But every time you. turn the Chiefs on this year, it's the. Kenneth Walker show. And then everything. else cooks off of it. Travis Kelce is. having the best year he's had in some.
time. You know why? Cuz they can run the. damn ball. Patrick Mahomes comfortable. doing the magical [ __ ] that he's been. doing. Why? Because they can run the. damn ball. Offensive line all of a. sudden looks a lot better than he looked. in years past because they don't have to. just hang on for dear life. Why? because. they can run the damn ball. Andy Reid. knew it. Andy Reid knew it. He diagnosed. it and he. >> he prescribed himself the Super Bowl MVP. running back being available somehow. Schneider had to make a tough decision. Had to move on from Kenneth Walker in. his eyes. Now, once again, not having. your one guy there whenever your other.
guy is gone and becoming an MVP player. certainly makes you look much worse. But. Kenneth Walker ended up with the Chiefs. Whenever we saw it, we were surprised. And now that we're actually witnessing. it, feels like the perfect move for Andy. Reid at this stage. Yeah, we were. surprised getting a Super Bowl MVP in. that Kansas City Chiefs locker room, but. I definitely I don't think any of us. expected to be this good. And obviously. John Robinson, Jir Gibbs, James Cook, all these guys get, you know, more. talked about, but K9 has been. unbelievable year in and year out. I. mean, down in down out, he's breaking. tackles every game. It's unbelievable. In the run game, in the pass game, Eric.
Benemy being back in the building, I. think that plays a role as well, having. that mindset because one of the things. about Andy Reid over his, I guess, coaching career was like, hey, will he. ever stick to the run? especially when. you have still for my money the best. quarterback in the league with Patrick. Mahomes. Can you stick uh to the run. with that identity? But he's been. unbelievable. Wide receiver production. hasn't been there. They haven't needed. Like you said, Travis Kelce looks. younger. He looks faster. Mahomes I. think he'll only get healthier and get. better as this season goes on. So yeah, I think this is the team to beat right. now in the NFL and obviously in the AFC.
>> And even when you think about like the. Patriots dynasty with Tom Brady and. that's kind of what the Chiefs are being. compared to now. I believe Patrick. Mahomes tied Tom Brady for the quickest. to either 100 wins or something like. that. But those teams always evolved. like it feels like the Chiefs have now. made that evolution. You know, in the. last, you know, Super Bowl for Tom Brady. in New England, they won the game 13. to3. They ran the ball. Sony Michelle. was the bellcow that entire playoff run. and it feels like the Chiefs now have. evolved. Great defense. Their defense is.
suffocating. and then Kenneth Walker. It's like when you have those two things. and then Mahomes will have his, hey, I'm. going to throw for 380 yards today and. five touchdowns and win, but they're. banged up at wide receiver and they're. still finding ways to dominate teams. like Bucker came through. They're. they're awesome top to bottom. They're. that's a complete team. >> Bucker missed one yesterday, I think. Abnormal for him, but then he comes. through, makes kicks for them. Special. teams arisa, their punter, he's. unbelievable. So even if you're banged. up and you don't have as many guys for.
special teams, especially with the. amount of money they have at the top. with certain players, they're still able. to get the job done because Tob is a. Hall of Fame special teamer. This Chiefs. team dynasty is still very much wide. open with the addition of Kenneth. Walker. It's almost going to it might be. preK9 and postkine. Who knows how many. years he can do this, but if Patrick. Mahomes can have this running back for. the foreseeable future, they're going to. be a problem for anybody. >> That was the other thing. You talk about. how many years he can do it. He was a. part of a stable in Seattle. So, he came. over somewhat fresh getting in this new. iteration with this Chiefs offense.
>> What are they uh covering just so I know. if I blindly bet on them ever since? >> They're three and two against the. spread. >> That's best they've been in a long time. >> Yeah, it is still known as a Mahomes, especially earlier in the season when. you win but do not cover. But no, three-2 so far this season against the. spread. >> Okay, the Chiefs continue to dominate. Are they the best team in ball or is it. the San Francisco 49ers? We'll continue. to have that debate until one of them. lose. >> Yeah. Uh, let's go to the number two. headline. A man, is that Harry Houdini? >> Yeah. >> Is that Chris Angel? >> What.
>> is that? David Blaine. >> is that David Copperfield. >> No, that's Josh Abraad. >> WHOA. >> THE MAGIC MAN. Did you see this. touchdown? Did you see this [ __ ]. >> Which one? >> This one. This one. The This one. Just. absolutely insane what Josh Allen has. been able to do. The conversation every. single week is can Josh Allen continue. to win like this. Is Josh Allen going to. be able Super Bowl like this? Well, you. ask the Las Vegas Raiders and they say, "I don't know how the hell are you.
supposed to stop THIS GUY'S ABOUT TO GET. CRUSHED?" Side steps. Whoops. Shot puts. touchdown. Keon Coleman. That can happen. at any time on any play in any moment. He has enough confidence at this stage. of his career to do these types of. things. Back in the day, that was. definitely going into uh four Las Vegas. Raiders and one Buffalo Bill. That was. going to be a turnover. He still has. some stupid plays. Okay, Josh Allen will. still give you some stupid, reckless. outlaw cowboys that just turn the ball. over and you think to yourself, Josh, you're an MVP. Why? Why would you ever. do that? It's because in his mind, every.
play's alive. Las Vegas Raiders make. this game. Kirk Cousin with that deep. shot. >> Yeah, great ball. >> Comes back, they try to do an onside. kick. I I mean, this is late. 33-23, 138. left. No timeouts for the Raiders. This. game's over, right? Nope. Kirk says, "Give me that. Let me drop one in a. bucket. Make this a game." They do a. drop kick onside with Matt Gay. not as. successful as it had been in the past. I. appreciate the no stone unturned. He. probably didn't hit that nearly as. perfectly as he would like, but Josh. Allen yet again puts the Buffalo Beals. on his back and wins a game. This guy's.
special. This guy can do it. I think Mr. Abracadabra. I think the magic man. >> Is this the year you. >> I think he has a chance to accomplish. it. He's going to be banged up. But. that's the thing about Abracadabra. Cuz when the game starts, you can't even. tell D. But. >> he he's he's available. So even when he. is banged up, he's going to play. He is. special and yeah, I think with a player. of his caliber, with his skill set, you're going to have that one or two. bonehead plays. He's just that special. You're going to have that backyard. football play. Sometimes it's beautiful. and it ends up in a touchdown. Sometimes.
it's a turnover, but he's great. And. what's around him, James Cook, the run. game, if Cook can take care of the. football, that'll be big. DJ Moore. getting healthy. But a guy who took a. lot of heat since he come to the league. with all the off field stuff and not the. lack of production on the field, Keon. Coleman. Kon Coleman has stepped up big. time for Josh Allen this year. I think. that'll be big. But they won't win it. all. They won't get it done unless the. defense can turn around and play better, but John uh Josh Allen is unbelievable. >> I have a stat for you there. Only one. team has made the playoffs allowing 28. points a game. I believe the Bills are.
currently allowing 28.1. Now, I assume. they're going to make the playoffs, but. only the 2000 Rams, I think, was the. last time a team allowing 28 points per. game has made the playoffs. >> And what they got a little they got. bunch of camels on defense. What? >> Camel. >> with the humps. >> No, >> cuz they're spitting. >> That's what the camels do. >> Ah, I was over there. >> They do do that. >> Yeah, I was over there. I rode camel. before. >> You can't do it. You can't. >> I've rode a camel before. Okay. In. Morocco, so I'm allowed to talk about. this. Really?
>> That's right. >> It's big, slow horse. Pretty boring. I'm. going to be honest. But yeah, I've been. there. Okay. I've had the thing on my. face. I've done all that. But you walk. around those things, you got to walk. They will they will get you. They they. will spit on you from the side. They'll. spit you right in your face. They they. will camels will spit on your ass. I. don't know if it's because of how I. looked or what I was doing or how I was. They will do it. We've had a couple. spitting things here over the last. couple years. Everybody always comes out. and says the same thing. Can't do it. Still continues to happen. I always. thought CJ GJ was talented with his.
words enough to get people going. Did. not know he was also somebody that would. spit on somebody. Clear as day in the. camera he did. Joe Brady just looks, what are we doing? And then you remember. this is they wanted CJ GJ experience in. there. Okay. I think he had been good. for their defense and for their team as. a whole with the juice. This type of. stuff can't happen. >> It can't happen. And he said after the. game his emotions got the best of him. Look, they brought him over here to be a. veteran to play in big time ball games. like this one. But you can't do that. I. don't care about the emotion. I don't. care about any of this. Any anybody in. any facet of life, even even outside of.
sports, you just don't spit on another. person. You don't spit on another man. So whatever, you know, penalty comes. from it, it's deserving. I hate to see. this on a football field. And then I saw. spin on Brock Bowers. Like what? What did Brock Bower say that can get. under uh 22 skin? But uh obviously he's. a very good player. Jim Leonard's going. to need him if they're going to turn his. defense around. But yeah, you hate. seeing this on the football field. >> Somebody needed a Brock Bowers touchdown. bad in the plane. >> Yeah, somebody. or Concaid. Really just any of these.
freaking tight ends, man. That would do. >> Kade got in, didn't he? K got in there. >> No, he got in. >> Oh, yeah. really just any tight end in. that game. Just getting in the paint. would have been cool, but. >> whatever, man. We're on a next week. >> Yes, you are. Hey, keep shooting. >> We're Wait, we're trading out here. We're trading all day. >> Yeah, I haven't been able to figure that. one out yet. I I I like that they are. trading. I don't think I fully. understand what's going on, but I like. that they're doing it. And if you are of. age in the United States of America, we. would love for you to come join us on. the best sports book on earth, Draft.
Book, uh, DraftKings. Now, what you do. need to do though is agree to be. responsible. Yeah. We don't need you to. be an [ __ ] For instance, tonight. ners commanders, we're on ESPN 2 with. Field Pass. Can't believe we get to do. that. Hopefully, we will be a uh. enhancement of a game. That's all we're. trying to be. Who knows what this game. becomes. Get bored. Come hang out with. us. Have us on your phone if you'd like. Whatever the case, we will be out here. doing it. If you like a little. something, just sprinkle a little action. on. Make the game a little bit better. Jaden Davis, he going to run? I don't. know. Especially with that elbow.
Potentially. potentially he runs a. little bit here against this Niners. defense because you know that's what. this Niners defense is. Maybe you like. that. Don't be putting a mortgage on it. Don't be an [ __ ] to ruin it for all. of us. Tonight 8:15 we're on. >> ESPN 2 now. Number one headline coming. out of the weekend and we all knew this. was going to be the case whenever we. talked to the guy. >> Monk Ken strikes again. >> Ladies and gentlemen, the Cleveland. Browns are 4 and2 AND ON TOP OF IT LOVE. IT. The Browns refuse to bronze.
Congratulations to the Browns. Have a. miskick, then have a make kick. Big. Schmidt hits a 37 y to complete a. comeback. They were down 100 in the. fourth quarter against the Baltimore. Ravens with Snoop Puntley and they get a. dub. This Cleveland Browns team refuses. to believe that they are the same old. Browns. This team refuses to believe. that they have to be ass. Deshun Watson. doesn't have the most prolific game in. the history of his particular football. career. He goes for 164 yards, adds. another 29 rush yards. Who cares?
They're winning games. Jerry Judy got. loose on a couple. Estimate had a. touchdown on rush. They are Monk Ken a. real team. They are a formidable NFL. football team in Cleveland. And I think. the Browns. Brownie and the Dog Pound got to be. elated with the Monkin hire. Not talked. about at all. First year head coach over. there. Old man, no fanfare. When he got. there, remember baggy jeans and a. jacket, styrofoam cup with coffee, walked in the building, people didn't.
even know who he was. Thought maybe he. was a maintenance guy or a janitor. He's. the new head coach. We're seeing all. these other head coaches come in. There's a parade. There's a celebration. There's a speech. Monkin walks in. Hey, good to be here. Great view. This will. be fun. We got to get started. Shador, I. wanted you in Baltimore. What'd you do. that for? That's not fun. Let's get to. work. Who's gonna be your quarterback? I. don't know. Is it Deshawn? Is it. Shadore? Is it Dylan? I don't know. We're gonna make that decision later. Then he makes a decision. This guy's an. [ __ ] He hates Shadore. Why is he. supporting Deshawn? And then he comes on. our show. He says, "Is that not what.
you're supposed to do as a coach? Are we. not supposed to motivate our guys, get. the best out of our guys? Are we not. supposed to wear a backwards hat and. tell Browns fans everything's going to. be all right and we're going to try to. win some games for them and we're going. to give them everything we got?" The Mon. experience has been great in Cleveland. They're ahead of the AFC North. That's. insane. The Browns have four wins this. season and Deshawn Watson has led a. game-winning drive in the fourth quarter. in all of them. >> Crazy. Watson's four gamewinning drives. in the fourth quarter are tied for the. most by a Browns quarterback in a season. in the last four decades. >> That's something you never ever see. associated with the Browns. You talked.
about the Jets earlier and the Jets fan. over. He said, "Hey, we're so good at. being bad." And that's what Browns fans. that's that's what you expect from this. team. So obviously when Todd Min made. the decision to go with Deshun Watson to. be the starting quarterback, he took a. lot of heat, took a lot of flack. Deshun, like you said, the numbers. aren't great. They aren't gaudy, but. he's finding ways to put his team in. position to win ball games, especially. division ball games. You know, these. account little extra towards the end. This this has been unbelievable. The. young guys they brought in over the last. couple years, they're producing. So, you. love when it's the young nucleus of your.
team that are making the big time plays. in these games to get wins, but the. Browns being in this position is it it's. unbelievable. Four and two sitting here. after week six is unbelievable. >> Okay, so Ryland hits six field goals. Yeah, >> congratulations to him to beat the Rams. Okay, we missed that. Uh Rams two and. four. >> Not good. >> What is happening? >> I thought they were going to be. unbeatable. >> People did. >> Shortest odds to win the Super Bowl. since the Chiefs. >> Who went from the Browns to the Rams? >> Stink verse. >> Oh, you're saying from the Browns to the.
Rams or from Rams to the Browns? No, >> it's from the Browns to the Rams. >> Oh, >> yeah. Hasn't played yet. >> You said Yeah, he's hurt. >> Yeah, he played actually in Australia. Was terrible. Then they said he was. hurt, which I wonder if the Rams knew. whenever they traded for him that he was. gonna miss some time and be banged up. So they, you know, >> they might just punt. >> What did McVey say? What did McVey say. afterwards, Ty? Whenever he was talking. about the team and the expectations and. where they're sitting at two and four. right now. >> Pretty much, hey, you we got to get it. right, man. Got to do it right now. Okay. Not a lot of time. Good division. Got to go, man. Uh I hate this, you.
know. And he didn't say this, but I'm. starting to think this is John Madden. This is John Madden 2.0. Why would they. why would they put that thing out there. with Amazon? You know, like listen, we're not going to do anything with the. booth unless Shawn McVey decides, you. know, he wants to retire and then we can. go ahead and exercise our right to put. him in there. He just looks pissed all. the time and there's a lot of uh there's. a lot of weight on his shoulders, a lot. of weight and pressure on the entire. team. He might be done after this year. >> Well, they they maybe he'd be great for.
on television. We assume just like coach. Tomlin has been, but he was asked, you. know, why are you doing what you're. doing? And he goes, "If we would have. our normal kick, well, if we had a. kicker, >> remember Lil Blake Groupy.". >> Come on, Lil Blade Group. >> Lil Blake Groupy's done this before. >> Yeah. Yes. >> Lil Blake Groupy says, "I'm on a. football field. I'm a football player.". Devin Duivere says, "I haven't seen. something THIS SMALL SINCE SEVENTH. GRADE.". >> BOOM. >> Broke his leg. >> Seventh grade. I think Devin Duivere saw. a little Blake Group coming out and. goes, "Yes." He literally does.
>> Think about being think about being. Duivere from the Ravens. Now he's with. the Cardinals. Cardinals might be a damn. good football team. I He ended up in a. leg brace. I We don't know what all. happened to him. We like little Blake. Rupy doing this. We like him going for. it. >> I think we need a little self-awareness. here. I I I think we need to not be. trying to go shoulder to shoulder. He. needs to be gnawing at ankles, okay? And. if they jump over you, charge it to the. game. Nonetheless, Devin Duivere, he was like a. >> a dog in a butcher shop whenever he saw.
Blake Groupy sizing him up. Think of. seventh grade probably. When was the. last time you saw somebody two and a. half pylons trying to tackle him? Honestly, so I appreciate little play. groupy going for it. Okay. And he was. That's my strategy. That's how I used to. try to tackle people. >> It's your fault. >> I'm just going full body send at this. guy. Okay. That's what I do. He is 5'4. >> I'm afraid to stick his nose in there. >> 140 lbs. >> That's selfish. >> by groupy. >> Yes. That's selfish. You're our kick. We. just brought you here because the fat.
one stumped and we brought the little st. the little skinny kid here and you come. here trying to throw you. You're not. boom stick brother. Come on push go low. We need a kicker man. That weren't the. only selfish thing this game. The fatsoe. from the Cardinals when he got the two. pitcher back to a fast. I don't like. selfish football. So I know Blake Gri. got hurt from the look. I hope you get. your money for the rest of the season. I. heard he was saying his goodbyes to the. team in the locker. As a football. player, you like when guys do put it on. the line, but bro, we just bought you.
here. We got an MVP at quarterback. At. some point, this defense will get fixed. We're going to need you to hit some. kicks at some point. And now you. throwing your ass here. >> He probably got a concussion, a core. injury, a leg injury. Who knows what. injury this kid got? >> Everything. >> Tease in peace, Blake. >> Little Blake Rupy is a beast. He will. fight back through this and become a. good kicker again. We know that he was. going to be the answer for LA. I thought. they were going to win. drill for the first one. >> So, just think about all the LA, >> you know, LA, Hollywood, we're all. they're all, you know,
>> this guy was going to be their hero. >> Talk of the T. I mean, that's what. happened. >> Think about these actors coming up at. Blake Group being like, Blake, what's. up? You know, and normally they come to. the football games, you know, they got. to be like that. Blake was going to be. on every billboard. Blake was going to. be in movies. >> Not even eye to eye. You went, you had. to go down. >> But Blake, he's tiny. He is a little. fella, man. >> And that's what happened. He kind of saw. he saw the stars. He drilled that 43. yardd field goal. Probably would have. been good from 70. And he walked out. there. He said, "I'm going to force a. fumble on this [ __ ] kickoff and I'm. going to scoop it myself and I'm going.
to score." These guys are going to love. me. >> Guys, don't cover. >> Let him let him let him through. >> I got this. >> I've never seen someone look like I. mean, it looked like he ran into a brick. wall. Like he like he started like he. had rollerblades on. >> Oh my god. >> Duet was so excited. You know, think. about him running, thinking about going. out of bounds, seeing seeing groupy come. and being like, "Yeah, right, dude. >> The hell is this?". >> Yes, >> that is a good spot. >> Shoulder to chew on. >> for With all due respect, I mean, Gruby.
comes into frame on that. >> All American safety 22 miles an hour. And if it wasn't, look, he's a bad out. of hell. If you have 11 Blake groupies. on your defense, guess what? You're. going undefeated because you're not. giving up. >> I don't THINK SO. HE DOESN'T BUDGE. >> BECAUSE THEY'LL JUST THROW IT HIGH. OKAY. If you got 11 play groupies, >> that game is gonna be played AT SIX. FEET. >> YEAH, I'M TALKING ABOUT IT HERE. I CAN'T. MEASURE. You can't measure what's in. here in here. >> Psy. Thank you for doing that, Blake.
>> Join us now. >> Miles of heart. might be a guy who has. an update on Miles Garrett and maybe. Blake Rupy when we're gonna see him. again as he was addressing his teammates. that he just met a few days ago as he. disappears into at least one surgery we. assume. Joining us, senior NFL insider. network, >> Adam Shftery, any updates on groupy? >> Uh groupy, he's now grouper. He's uh. being fed to the fake.
You can't do that. >> I'm not going to take this. This is. positionism. If this was any other. position, you would not do that type of. [ __ ] Okay, Shfter. I do not like that. Now, on that note, groupy, we love you. We appreciate what you did for the Colts. and we wish you luck. But boy, that. looked terrible. That looked terrible. It looked like it was painful. And uh. >> Foxy loves showing it. >> I was on a Monday night countdown group. text and Jason Kelsey immediately sends. in there, I'd like to us uh talk about. what happened like enough. Okay, enough.
The guy's going through. Okay, let's. talk about some other storylines that. are developing. Miles Garrett, okay, let's stay with the Los Angeles Rams. Uh, when should we be expecting that? And Shawn McVey, uh, Tai Schmidt alluded. to it. A lot of Shawn McVey might be. done after this season rumors because I. know everybody thinks Shawn McVey has so. much money available in broadcasting and. Madden only did it eight years. McVeyy's. already won a Super Bowl. His name's. already cemented as a guy who's a good. coach. Is there any chatter about what's. going on with the Rams and when should. we expect Miles Sheffy yet?
Well, the Rams were hoping to keep. winning games so that they could take. their time with Miles, but the more they. lose, the more I think they're going to. be a little bit impatient to get him. back there. They want to make sure he's. right before they bring him back. Uh, I. think we're on a week- toeek watch here. with Miles Garrett. Um, I haven't heard. that he's coming back this week, but I. think that they're going to get that. moving. Shawn McVey. Shawn McVey could. do whatever he wants whenever he wants. And he has talked recently about how.
he's found renewed joy in coaching. So. just because this season hasn't worked. out, I don't know that automatically. you're looking at becoming a broadcaster. right now. Whenever he wants, he could. go be in a booth and be a great. broadcaster and make a ton of money. doing it whenever he wants. But he, again, I go back to what he said. recently, like he had those thoughts a. few years back, three, four years ago. where he was debating whether he wanted. to keep coaching. He went back to. coaching and and he's talked about the. fact that he's very happy he did that.
So, I haven't heard anything change from. that. But when you lose games and you go. through a season like this, anything's. always possible. >> Yeah. Especially with how it started ass. in Australia and that it hasn't got. better. and us not seeing Miles Garrett. and Aaron Donald on a field together. Feels like we've been robbed of watching. the Avengers a ball. Maybe it happens. before the end of season. A lot of games. left. Speaking of a lot of games left, Chris Ballard won't see him in. Indianapolis. He's in his 10th season as. general manager when he found out this. morning that he's been let go. How do. you think we got to this decision? And.
what do you think the Colts do now? Because Sheffy trade deadlines in. November, >> right? There's a lot of guys on that. team that could potentially be, you. know, pretty valuable at the trade. deadline if we were looking to do a. complete reset. Dod's assistant general. manager is now actual GM. Is he the one. making those decisions now going. forward? Can you just kind of describe. the situation over there in. Indianapolis? >> Well, he'll be leading those decisions. Obviously, he'll lean on ownership. before he makes any of those decisions. If they decide to trade away players for.
picks that are without their first round. draft pick that the Jets have in return. for the Sauce Gardner trade, which today. would be a top 10 pick, and the Jets are. sitting in a good spot with that pick. and so the Colts can recoup picks with. some veterans if that's what they would. decide to do here. Um, when you say how. we got here, well, I think it culminates. in a loss to the previously winless. Titans. I think we go back to last year. when they took a big swing, a big swing. at Sauce Gardner when they were off to.
the great start with Daniel Jones. playing quarterback and then Daniel. Jones goes down and S Gardner and the. Colts can't win a game and everything. from that point on seemed to go south. And then if you want to go back and I. think you said it well earlier Pat, I. think we go back to Andrew Luck. Like. when Andrew Luck walks away from the. game, they never cover. There's the list. of quarterbacks there in 2018. Andrew. Luck is the starter on opening day and. that sets in motion a chain of events.
that includes them starting Jacobe. Brass, Philip Rvis, Carson Wentz, Matt. Ryan, Anthony Richardson, Daniel Jones, and still not exactly knowing. their quarterback of the future. Daniel. Jones, they're treating that way. Daniel. Jones has the ability to be that way, but this is an organization today that. essentially made a big change at GM, which now leads to other questions about. the future of the franchise. We'll see. where they go from here, but to me, there's a lot of spots that you could. look back on with Chris Ballard, who who.
I always felt handled himself very well. and did a great job, but they made the. decision today to move on. >> Yeah, he's a good man, and I think. that's why you guys all want to be kind. to him because he is a very good man. We. we agree he's a good man. We haven't won. an AFC South in forever. You never won. one with him as general manager. And. that Andrew Luck thing did set him back. behind the eight-ball for sure. I mean, that's tough. Generational player. I. mean, >> yeah, >> stud potential greatest of all time. Whatever he's done for him to walk away. when he did. Chris have been chasing. that. Had ample time to figure it out,
including a number four overall pick, which doesn't work out. What's the. future look like? We shall see. Okay, last question for me before the boys. have some Shifty. Scary stuff coming out. of Philadelphia with Jaylen Herz. Uh, yeah. news today that he was told he. shouldn't sleep because that could. potentially make it worse. Now we're. getting a full diagnosis. Can you just. kind of catch us up on everything Jaylen. Herz right now and what this means for. him the person. Forget about the rest of. the season. Is he all right? Like is he. going to be okay? >> Well, I think you start there and and. they talked in the release, his agents. released from Nicole about how he's now.
stable and his prognosis is good and. it's going to be okay. Um that's the. most important thing that his health is. okay. Once you get past that, which. obviously is the most important issue, then we could start to get into what. happened here, football questions, all. sorts of things like that. And so I. think it starts in Chicago when he gets. cleed in the calf and that is what you. call being provoked. That provoked the.
blood clot that came to light while they. were in London. and he spent Saturday. night, a good portion of the night in. the hospital undergoing tests. Now, again, this this is some of the. information I have. Obviously, there's. some areas that we don't know yet and. will come out, I'm sure, over time. He's. in the hospital that Saturday night. He. gets tests and they make the. determination that he's good enough to. play on Sunday.
and he gets through the game and they. make the determination he's okay enough. to fly home. And again, when they sent. him for test Wednesday night in. Philadelphia, that was supposed to be an. ultrasound that was relatively routine. And I think that they found at that. point the blood clot had moved. And once. it's moving, that's where there's major. danger and risk involved. I think that. surprised everybody at that point in. time that it was moving. And so he went. to continue to get more and more. treatment with more and more doctors,
more and more specialists to get as much. information as he could. And sometime. Saturday, they got word that the blood clots had. spread and that they obviously had gone. to his lungs. And I think Saturday, all along this thing continued to. get worse and worse. And again, when he. has the initial injury, okay, we're. going to treat that. Then they go to.
London, it's a little bit more. Then. they get back home, it's a, well, we're. going to send him to be tested. Then it. turns out to be a little bit more and. then a little bit more. Like it just. kept getting worse all along. And again, you hope he's okay. It winds up with. them putting him on IR on Saturday after. a lot of different medical. consultations. Now he's out for a minimum of 3 months, which today's October 19th. The soonest. he could be back would be January 19th.
and that's if everything went perfect. So, his season is essentially over and. you hope that he's going to be okay and. obviously. uh a wild situation. >> Couple things here. Don't want to do. silver lining. Um but silver lining, they figured this out. He's still alive. Okay, that's really good news because. what Kirk Herbstreet talked about about. it going through your heart. I think. lung's not good either. I think it can. damage your lungs permanently as well. from my understanding. Could be where a. lot of pain comes from in that. particular aspect. We hope Jaylen Herz.
gets better. Every decision that was. made for Jaylen Herz's health though is. going to be dissected going forward as. you know. I would assume you know uh. especially looking back depending on. what's Did they say he shouldn't sleep? Did I read that? Did we see that that. somebody told him. >> I had that's been reported by multiple. people? I I was unaware of that. I I had. not heard that but but that's out there. Yes. >> Wow. >> How is that? I mean I guess laying down. So. >> either that or I'd assume it's something. like Herby where you know he when he. fell asleep it went through his heart.
and they're just worried that if that. were to happen he'd like pass away in. his sleep or something. I don't know if. that. >> so he had to stand up probably the whole. time. >> or just upright in like a hospital bed. >> I don't understand how having no sleep. for 30 hours going into an NFL football. game at quarterback is safer than any. >> crazy they had to play after. >> Yeah. And then great first half for. >> Yeah. Played well. >> Yeah. And then going Yeah. I with. everything going on. Absurd scene. Okay, the boys have some questions, shall we? I know you're going to love this one. because Michigan mine. Go ahead, Tone. >> Yeah, Sheffy. Uh, obviously we watched.
the Saints and the Giants play yesterday. and then the, you know, the Giants make. a quarterback change and JJ McCarthy. actually looked pretty good in that one. Is are they going to stick with that. decision? How do we know what's going on. in there? And then speaking of the. Saints, they're traveling to France uh. with the Steelers. What's the latest on. that because of the uh local unrest? Well, the Saints and the Steelers, I. mean, I think that they've asked. questions, but the NFL has come out and. said the game is going to go on, and the. Saints executive, Greg Benel, released a. statement on behalf of the team. yesterday saying the game is going to go. on. And so, even though we see all the.
rioting and all the social unrest and. wonder how can you play a game, they're. going on that. That's their outlook and. that's their perspective. So that game. uh according to the NFL, the Saints, that's happening on Sunday. Now, you. asked about JJ McCarthy, they they. benched Jameus Winston yesterday. JJ. McCarthy comes in and in one quarter, one quarter throws for 243 yards. So.
that means if he had played a, you know, a full game, he'd throw for almost 1,000. yards, which would be the NFL record. >> So after the game, John Harbaugh would. not commit to either quarterback. Uh. they're going to take some time, they. say, to reach a decision. We'll see what. they decide. I know when we were doing. Get Up this morning, the the guys were. of the mind that they think JJ will wind. up being the starter. I think the. thinking is here. We we Jamus, I want Jamus on every one. of my teams. I love listening to the.
guy. I love being around the guy. They. kind of know what Jamus is. Jame is. >> he's a great backup and he's a great. fill-in starter, >> but we don't know what JJ is. You don't. know the upside there for a former 10th. overall pick. And so I think their. feeling was that we might see JJ get a. chance here this week. And we'll see. what John Horball ultimately decides. But JJ played great and and we'll see. what direction they go. Now. >> that was Adam Sheffer that said rioting. in Paris. We said unrest. >> Yep. Just so just so everybody that's.
keeping tabs at home, we see what it is. >> Local unrest. >> Chefty sees what it is. Our eyes see. what it is. But it's just unrest. Maybe. they get some rest in NFL football comes. around. Speaking of rest, the guy might. be coming back off of a long time, and I. know there's a team that'll be excited. about that. Go ahead, Ty. >> Yeah, Chef, any update on Micah Parsons? It seems like everyone's got a different. idea of when he's actually going to come. back. And then also, uh, Josh Jacobs is. off the commissioner's exempt list and. he should be available for, uh, next. week. Is there an additional suspension.
that he's going to have to serve or what. do you know about both those situations? >> Oh, Josh Jacobs, I expect to play on. Sunday against the Detroit Lions. The. league has left open the investigation. and the idea that it reserves the right. to suspend him if there is additional. information that surfaces. So, I think. the league views it now as the six games. that he missed is the time served with. the league having the right to go back.
to be able to suspend him uh if it is. warranted. But right now, Josh Jacobs is. going to be in uniform playing Sunday. against the Detroit Lions. Micah, uh. last week when Micah had said that he. was targeting the Cowboys, I was told he. wasn't close. Uh Micah has come out on. his podcast and talked about the fact. that it's very important for him to have. everything working the way that it. should so that he's not risking himself. physically before he's actually ready. They haven't even opened the practice.
window on him yet. Now, the Patriots did. that last week and AJ Brown played the. same week, so I guess that's always. possible with Micah Parsons here, but. I'm not anticipating that right now. Uh. for Sunday's game against the Lions, they play the Panthers, I believe, after. that. Uh is it the Panthers after that? I know a short week. There's a short. week, a Thursday night game. >> So, it's tough to get them back in a. short week. Uh then they play New. England. Uh. >> third game, and then then it's a. divisional game against the Vikings.
before a buy. And I'm doing this off the. top of my head. So, >> I was watching you dig for it deep there. in the right side of the category. >> I think their decision will be is he. ready? Is he ready in early November or. do they hold him out through the buy to. get him extra time? There it is. Yeah. So, so Wow. Right. Exactly. >> Exactly what I said. Carolina, New. England, Minnesota buy and then the Los. Angeles Chargers. That'd be pretty late. in the season. Week 12 he'd be coming. But oh, sorry. Los Angeles Rams. Sorry. That'd be week 12 he'd come back.
whenever we were being. >> Come on, man. You're not gonna play for. another month. >> Said you want him healthy. You said he's. healthy. I do want him healthy, but. >> hey, Vaness keeps. >> says he wants him. I do want him. healthy. >> Says he wants him healthy, BUT HE WANTS. HIM BACK. >> NOVEMBER 25TH, MAN. >> THANKS, KID. >> WE'RE STARTING TO HIT OUR STRIDE. ADD. MIKE into the mix. I want him healthy. I. do, but jeez. >> Week 12 would be a crazy difference from. what we were hearing with week.
>> along with him saying if it was a Super. Bowl, I'd be playing. >> Yeah, he did say that. You know, I was. promised he was going to play against. the Cowboys. >> NO, YOU PROMISED. IN SO MANY WORDS. >> CHINA. >> Look on on these injury things. You just. have to wait like he's going to. determine when that is. Whether that's. whether that's Carolina or New England, like when he's ready, he'll play it. I. don't think it's far off. >> Okay. Uh let's talk about another game. changer. Ravens lose to Browns, but. Snoop got a win in his relief. Go ahead,
Dud. >> Yeah, we thought it was an outside. chance of Lamar been able to play last. week. Uh, what's it looking like for him. next week to return against the Bengals. after missing two games? >> Here's what I would say. I I'm going to. put Lamar in the same category as Micah. Parsons in regards to this. I think. going into last week, going into two. weeks ago, there was somebody that said. to me they thought he was going to play. against um Atlanta and he never. practiced. And then going into last. week, I think there were people that.
were optimistic that he had a chance, a. real chance to get back. And then my. understanding is he went out, ran, his. ankle didn't feel exactly right, never. practiced. And so I think they felt all. along, if you look at the schedule, they. play Cincinnati this week at Buffalo. Jacksonville. So they're headed into the. teeth of their schedule and Tyler. Huntley's played well when he's been in. there, played well on Sunday night in. Atlanta. I think that they felt like. they can go into Cleveland, play well. with Tyler Huntley, give Lamar another. week, and then hopefully get Lamar back.
against the Bengals. But ultimately, again, it comes back to how Lamar feels. like he's feeling and whether he can go. Do I think he'll play this week? My My. guess would be yes. I think we'll see. Lamar. That's my guess. But he. ultimately is the one that's going to. determine how he feels in the practice. field. What are you doing there, Pat? >> Yeah, I'm trying to move this thing. We. got a lot of new equipment here. The. people have done a great job, but it's. everywhere. There's wires everywhere, but I do appreciate it. So, I'm trying. to move it. Lamar Jackson coming back. playing football would be fantastic.
He's not going to play till he's 100%. healthy. This is basically a contract. year for Lamar Jackson. Is that. accurate? >> Yeah, but I don't I don't think that. that's the reason that he hasn't played. >> No, no, no. I'm just saying he's not I. mean, if this is a contract year, he's. going to be 100% healthy whenever he. gets on the field. He's not going to I'm. not saying he's holding out for a. contract because he's the one that. decided to do that. I'm just saying we. have to make sure we keep everything in. context here. This is technically a. contract year for Lamar Jackson. The way. we should view this, >> you should view it that way. Yes. >> That's crazy that Lamar Jackson's.
potentially available after this. Yeah. South Florida. >> They won't let him out of there. >> No way. Okay, we got other We got one. minute before a heart out. We have to. hit at least a situation in LA and. tonight, so please be quick and put it. all together. Go ahead, Connor. >> Yeah, Jeff, real quick, the Chargers are. burning down. Are they going to blow it. up? Is Herbert going to Andrew Luck. retire early? Uh, and is John Harbaugh. and Mike McDaniel, are they safe or are. we going to get some changes whether. it's offense or head coach? >> Jim, >> uh, Jim, excuse me. I. >> I think John Jim Harbaugh addressed it. after the game. I think when you're. going into a by-week like this,
anything's possible. um especially with. the assistant coaching staff. So, I. think everybody's just watching that. situation to see what Jim Harbaugh. decides he wants to do tonight. You got. the 49ers and the Commanders. My guess. is we'll see Mike Evans back. They want. to see how he's going to feel pregame, but Sounders like they're optimistic. they'll get him back. Commander first. game since they went through what they. did last week. Um they practiced that. exact scenario in practice this week. >> We got six seconds. Okay, I like that. You're the best, Chef. We'll be back on. the other side with Dan Olowski.
Bye-bye. It feels like a special morning out here. in Provo. One that we will certainly. remember for a long time. Now, before we. get to Spider-Man here, we have to. introduce a couple BYU royalty members. A man who led the NFL in reception and. touchdowns at one point. Austin Collie. is here, ladies and gentlemen. >> Beast. Beast. >> The human Swiss Army knife here. a man. who was a quarterback at BYU but played.
every other position for the New Orleans. Saints. Taesm Hill is here as well. And. we have our kicker. What's your name, brother? >> My name is Carter Smith. >> Okay. Carter, what year are you? >> I'm a freshman. >> You're a freshman. Have you ever kicked. before? >> Not footballs. >> Okay. WELL, SPEAKING OF FOOTBALLS, WE. DON'T HAVE A FOOTBALL. >> WE NEED A FOOTBALL. LET'S LOOK UP IN THE. SKY. >> THERE IS. >> YES. a mascot that hopped OUT OF A PLANE. WHO IS CIRCLING ABOVE BEAUTIFUL BYU'S. CAMPUS. He said, "I took the ball.
earlier. I'll be able to deliver it in. from the sky. You're at 4600 ft. I'm. going to take off from 10,000 ft.". Carter, when you're a soccer player, did. you ever think it's about kicking a. football delivered by Cosmo FROM THE. SKY? >> YES, I DID. >> Cosmo hits the mark perfectly. >> Let's go, Cosmo. Cosmo, thank you for. bringing us the monster. I think a. million-dollar kick is proper for what's. happening here in Provo. But it's not. just a million from me. There is a.
billionaire here that thought he was. just going to poke in and uh not do. anything. Ryan Smith, the owner of the. Jazz and the Mammoth right there. >> Yeah. He will also be putting up a. million dollars on this kickarter. >> How does that feel? a million funding. >> Sweeny's in for. >> Okay. And Sweeney, who is Ryan Smith's. business partner, also owner of the Jazz. and the Mammoth, who's a diehard Notre. Dame fan, he'll be putting in a million.
dollar donation. >> So, this is a $3 million kick. 2 million. to you. $1 million donation from Notre. Dame. Sweeny, >> when did you start camping out for this? >> We came out Wednesday morning. >> Okay. It was for the kick. No, >> no. Just to have a good time. >> Yes, sir. >> And the kick thing was just if it. happens, it happens. >> Yeah. I didn't even know about it to be. honest with you. >> I love that. >> $3 million.
>> Jeez, Carter. >> What I think we need to do is give. Carter one more. >> Yeah. One more. >> One more, baby. >> For $3 million. Let's go.
>> Oh my god. >> Let's go. >> The following program is a collection of. stooges talking about happenings in the. sports world. It is meant to be comedic, informative. Hello beautiful people and welcome back. to. Santa Clara, California. The host of. tonight's Monday Night Football. founders and commanders. Our brother. begins now. >> FOOTBALL IS. >> THE GREATEST. AND WE WRAP up week six of. the NFL season this evening here in. Santa Clara, California as the perfect. San Francisco 49ers host the Washington. Commanders who has certainly displayed. some imperfections over the last few. weeks. Niners look to remain undefeated.
Commanders look to show to their fans. and to ownership probably that they're a. competent football team after what. happened at the end of last week's New. York Giants mishap where they end up. tying each other after Jaden Daniels for. some reason goes down with no timeouts, no sense of urgency, don't get a. game-winning kick and walk out of there. thinking to yourself, is that a. professional football team? Tonight they. can change the course of history for. this year's team getting a massive win. over the 49ers. Now it's not just the. NFL that had a massive weekend. College.
football was spectacular. It was an. honor to be out in Provo. Brother Pat. had some prophetic words whenever I. picked the BYU Cougs to beat the Notre. Dame Irish as 10 and a half point dogs. It felt special on that campus. It was. certainly an abnormal place for us to go. to. I don't think I could have ever. experienced something like that before. I don't think I could have described. what it was going to be like before. getting there. I don't think words were. ever put into. um really what it was. Shout out to my. dude here, Mr. Smith, getting a huge.
win. They rush and stormed the kicking. field. That's the first time we've had. that happen. They were lined up since. Tuesday trying to get in there to. celebrate College Game Day. They treated. all of us so incredibly kindly. We are. very grateful. And then for Ryan and. Sweeney and Austin and Taesm and all the. other Storm and Mormons to experience. that big- time dub at night, that's what. college football is all about. Magical. moments that universities and. communities get to have together in a. massive win. Notre Dame still has the. playoffs in front of them if they're.
able to win out. They got Miami in a few. weeks, but this BYU team is now ranked. number two in the country. And Bear. Bachmeire is the truth. Ran for two, caught one, threw for another. The ref. got out of the way in a big way, but. they get the dub over Notre Dame. Anything else happened on a monumental. Saturday in college football history. Let's go to one half of the hammer. Done. Cowboys AP tone. What took place. on the biggest Saturday maybe college. football has had in some time. >> Yeah, a ton ever a ton happened. Obviously, this one comes down to the. last second. You know what else came. down the last second? The number one.
team in the country lost to Auburn on a. last second kick there in that. situation. Miami, the Hurricanes went to. two overtimes against the Florida. Seminals. Um, Ohio State, that one. literally came down to the last play, a. foot out of bounds from Nick Marsh in. that situation. That one was huge. Tennessee and Bama, Tennessee is smoking. cigars. Fifth straight home win in that. rivalry. That one was insane. Florida. and Texas. Texas is now on the hot seat. with two losses. Florida gets back on. the right track after an upset down in. Texas. Kentucky goes down to Oklahoma.
They get another huge win. Utah wins by. three against Colorado. UCLA stays. undefeated against Wisconsin. Houston. won by three against Oklahoma State in a. crazy one. Northwestern came back. against Michigan State. Oregon came back. against Nebraska. WU in a absolute barn. burner against Cincinnati. It was. probably the most one of the most insane. Saturdays that I've ever witnessed. >> Hell yeah. College football. >> Great Saturday. >> Keep bringing it this upcoming weekend. Not a lot of marquee matchups, but it's. going to be electric. College football. has been spectacular. This one here,
Josh Hoover, if he throws that a little. bit more in bounds, if Marsh is able to. have a little self-awareness and field. awareness, keep his feet in. The Indiana. Hooers have 23 straight wins and Ohio. State suffers their second loss of the. season. Instead, two inches determine. Indiana and Ohio State. That is college. football in a nutshell. What a Saturday. We are so lucky to be a part of it. The. talks tables here at Boston Connor and. at Ty Schmidt. College football. electrifying. NFL had some shite games, but some certainly great storylines. I. like the way we're starting in London.
with electric finishes every single. morning on Sundays. >> Yeah, unbelievable. It feels like the. international football has been swinging. a hot hot bat. It was something that we. talked about before the show, but Travis. Hunter, I know Debb can probably speak. to it better, but Travis Hunter was all. over the place. I remember last year. actually when the Jags played the Rams, the Rams killed the Jags, but Travis. Hunter had like 130 uh and a touchdown. And then this this year, same exact. thing. He gets an interception, you. know, in the red zone and then boom, playing offense, lining up at running. back, gets a touchdown. I saw he's the.
first player since Brian Dawkins in. 2002, first one of four players to do. this since the NFL merger. They were. probably doing it all the time in the. 50s when everybody had to play two. positions. But yeah, miraculous way to. start the entire thing in Fairbear with. the uh game winner to seal the deal. Huge win for the Texans. >> Yeah, huge win for the Texans. Great win. for international ball as it continues. to be electrifying. Can't wait to see. how it is in. >> pari we. fantastic football bonjour savah. nineyear NFL vet there Jay Butler debut.
great weekend of ball what caught your. eye out there college or NFL. >> I mean you mentioned it with the Travis. Hunter that was special to watch uh. there were a lot of doubters obviously. with him coming into the league if he. could play both ways and most people. said no stick to one side of the ball. and then maybe sprinkle in a little bit. that's what they've been doing to. Jacksonville now been dominant on. defense now sprinkling get him some. plays on offense and he was great. Kayla. Williams also made his return to that. Bears offense and obviously they kind of. they got a got a couple wins, did some.
things, but having him back in that in. that lineup was tremendous. This was a. great game as well. He came out hot. I. think I saw a nextgen status that said. he was 24 for 24 when throwing from a. clean pocket. So Iceman was back. He. showed off in front of Tom Brady and the. crew. So I'm excited about where this. Bears offense and Khalib Williams, Caleb. Williams is going also. Yeah, I like the. way the NFL is cooking. You might see. Caleb and uh the Himmy's tonight. >> Oh, 300 yards only touchdown, but he was. out there cooking. Great to see him. back. Grade two.
>> Okay. >> Where'd you get that from? >> On his hamstring. >> Where'd you get that from? Cuz he's he's. not putting out there and he's tired of. fake news reports getting out there. >> I think if you were to do the math on. how long he was out, what happened, it's. not it was probably grade four. He just. >> It's not deserved to be out there. >> Next question. >> I like I like the way he's handling. himself. Uh, joining us now is a guy. who's going to break it all down. He. does every single week. Does he know. what he's talking about? He thinks so. And that's why we love him. Ladies and. gentlemen, former backup NFL quarterback. looking like he's fresh out of selling.
something. DAN OR. NOTEBOOK. >> This guy's notebook. This is week one, week two, week three, week four, week. five, and week six. I took more notes. than that, but one triple binder is. good. This headset right here will be. yours, Dano. >> What's up? >> What's up, Dano? >> See you Dano. how we doing. >> It's good to see you in person. God. damn. >> Great to see you in person. Love that. hat. >> Thank you, >> Dan. Before we talk about the storylines. uh of Man, >> I don't like how far away I seem like. I'm from you guys. You.
>> I hear you cuz I'm getting the same. treatment. >> Yeah, I kind of feel you have one of. those things. Yeah, the partition is. awesome for the Kleenexes and such, but. it does make me feel as if I am very far. away from you. Dana, good to see you. >> It's great to be here. >> You a little chilly? >> Uh, no, just wired. Just jacked up. Did. you see him warming up over there? >> I did not. Did you see our faces? >> Yeah. As I was trying to talk this way, all anybody was doing was cuz you were. doing something over here. I don't know. if you were talking yourself or what you. were doing, but I appreciate you getting.
yourself jacked up. It's a huge day. Uh. can't wait to do field pass with you. tonight, Dan. >> I'm fired up for tonight. >> Yeah. Thank you for agreeing to do that. with us. We appreciate you. Should be a. great game. What are you expecting here. tonight between Commanders and Niners? Niners looking to prove they're the best. team in the ball. They have been. literally since they were down under in. Australia all the way through. Brock. Perie playing the best football he's. played. Do you expect that to continue? Do you expect the Commanders to come out. with a little revenge on their mind. after the debacle that ended last game? >> Yeah, I think for the Commanders to hang. tonight, Louvu and Sunny Styles have to.
have the game of the season just because. everything you know that San Francisco. offensively throws at you. So, you know, Washington's offense has had moment or. excuse me, defense has had moments this. year where they've played good football. Cha-Son's been a good addition. Um, Robersonson's been unbelievable as a. corner and then they have moments where. they just get into these lulls. defensively. They'll have to have the. best defensive per performance of the. season with everything. Uh, San. Francisco no use check, no Debo. So, you. know, Mike Evans having to carry the the.
the burden even more. Bird Pury, I've. said a lot of people have no one playing. better. Uh, and then I think for. Washington offensively, you know, Jaden and the way last week. ends, I think one of the big things you. walk out of that game is they've got to. get so much better offensively of. dealing with the blitz. Uh, the Giants. just sent allout pressure at play after. play after play. San Francisco doesn't. do that a ton. They will do it. They. will do it more. I would because you. didn't prove to me that you know how to.
handle it. So, um, if Washington can. handle that offensively and those guys. on defense play the game of the season, I think they can hang. >> Okay. So, you think they can hang? We'll. be on the sideline for it on ESPN 2, we. can't wait to do that. Very lucky and. thankful to do that. Should be pumped. Uh, yeah, definitely will be pumped to. wrap up week six in such a fashion. Now, let's talk about what happened yesterday. a little bit. Dan O. Uh, Caleb Williams, we just chatted about it. He's all the. way back. Ben Johnson's still cooking. Was there something you seen that makes. you say Caleb not as great as he was? Uh.
because that's normally the way you do. it with Caleb Williams and Ben Johnson. >> No, it's not. Um I would actually tell. you I think yesterday was one of the. best games I've seen Caleb play since. Ben came when it come to came comes to. um just being in the pocket, getting. through the progression, having some. poise in the midst of a moving parts and. chaos. The connection that he has with. Luther Burton, I think he was like eight. for eight to Luther Burden for almost. 100 yards. And so, um, when it came to. like the non-splash plays, I thought it.
was as good as we've seen, Caleb, in. this offense. And, uh, that that's. really nice to see. I was, did you learn. from watching Case Keenum? Did you learn. from just playing in rhythm and on time. because we know you can make this. special? And it was that really good. combination yesterday. If that's the. version we're going to get, yeah, this. team's no question going to be an NFC. Championship contender, at least. offensively. Caleb uh Caleb Williams in. his first quarterback 10 for 10 with a. touchdown led two touchdown drives plus. 122 pass yards. to Ben Johnson cooking.
with Caleb early. We did mention. multiple times somehow if Caleb can play. like Case Keenum, this offense might be. better than ever, which is what you said. you've seen. >> It's yesterday. I I honestly believe it. was the best I have seen Caleb under Ben. Johnson when it comes to just being. patient in the pocket. And if that's the. going to be the consistent version you. get, he's going to make special plays. That's outstanding growth. >> Okay, let's talk about special plays. Josh Abracadabra Allen. Definitely.
Again, >> this guy's a magic man. >> Harry Houdini used to put himself. underwater and get out of stuff. >> David Blaine does crazy stuff. He was up. in the sky with the whole. >> Chris Angel came down from the center of. Legion Stadium in football pads. Got. himself out of a straight jacket. >> Abracadabra Allen, he makes [ __ ] happen. all the time. This backhanded shuttle. pass, little shot put under pressure to. score a touchdown. Absurd. Everything he. does seemingly magic. Shout out to the. Raiders. I think that continues to get. talked about. Yeah, Raiders almost beat.
the Chiefs. Shout out to the Raiders. Raiders almost beat the Bills. Shout out. to the Raiders. At some point, they're. gonna have to get over the hump. I think. they're all expecting that sooner than. later. But this Buffalo Bills team, unbelievable Josh Allen football. Is. that the way to talk about it? >> Yeah, no question. I I think one of the. things that stands out for Buffalo's. offense outside of Josh. Josh is. remarkable. Um Keon Coleman's growth. this year has been exceptional for their. offense. No DJ yesterday. I think they. yesterday got to a lot of their things. that they love. Concade and Coleman, the. checkdowns, the keepers, the screen, the. toss. I think the thing that is so.
interesting for me with Buffalo is like. when I watch Buffalo play, I truly watch. their defensive tape and go, they do. some good stuff. They do, but then. there's four or five snaps where I'm. going, geez, it's another blown coverage. by the same guys. And so, part of me. wrestles with this defense going, man, if they could get rid of those four or. five blown coverages, I think this. defense is going to be good enough to. match this offense. But until they get. rid of those four or five blown. coverages, it's going to be a concern. >> Yeah, the Bills are allowing 28 and a.
half points per game this season. It's. 28th in the NFL. Teams to make the. playoffs averaging that one 2000 ramps. They're a pretty good football team. Most points per game allowed by a team. to make the Super Bowl, 26.6. That's. Cardinals. Remember Kurt Warner going. crazy. They lose to the Pittsburgh. Steelers. Most points per game allowed. by a team to win the Super Bowl, 25, which is 2011 Giants. And I believe. Coughlin almost got fired that year. Was. that that year or was that year 2008 or. seven or something? >> Probably both. Whatever the case, you. don't have a championship defense, it'll. show up. >> Is you don't even need a championship. defense for Josh.
>> That's what it feels like, though. That's literally what it feels like cuz. he's just he's dueling your offense. It. is Josh versus your offense. So, if his. defense can just get a couple stops in. key situations, it's not about getting. stops in the first quarter, second. quarter. It's about getting a key stop. in the fourth quarter and giving Josh an. opportunity. And we just assume Josh, just like we assume with Mahomes, is. going to go out there and get the job. done. Isn't that right, D? >> Yeah. But even even with Mahomes, like. you talk about getting those stops, those defenses, Tom Brady throughout his. career, there were times through the. defenses, they showed up. Jaylen Herz, that defense, they played their best. ball. So you're talking about blowing,
you know, a handful of coverages. This. is Jim Leonard's first year, you're kind. of seeing some of the same thing, same. things with Dallas Cowboys defense with. Christian Park in his first year. So we. say midseason for him for a reason. I. think around the middle of the season, around that November, that's when you. start seeing who the defense actually. going to be. But you're going to have to. make plays. You not have to be a top. three or five defense when you have Josh. Yeah. scoring these points and the way. they run the ball, but you got to be. better kind of with what's going on with. uh CJ Stout. So CJ Stra's been playing. lights out all year long. Then Miko Ryan.
now has taken over defensive play. calling Billy. What have you what are. you seeing from CJ Stout this year, big. year for him, big contract year. He's. playing lights out. And I want to know. what do you think about the addition of. Marvin Harrison and how he'll continue. to develop in his offense? Yeah, it's. the most control I've seen CJ Stout have. at the quarterback position in his NFL. career. I think yes, this past weekend. was the best he's ever been versus the. Blitz. That has always been my complaint. for CJ is like have a plan versus. pressure and you saw it early. Just. having an understanding like, okay, if. that's the Blitzer, I've got to get the. ball into my hands. He's seeing the.
field so clean right now. So clean. I. know it's early and hyperbolic and. whatnot like that play. Perfect example. He didn't do that last year. He didn't. do it two years ago. um he's going to. play himself if it continues into the. MVP conversation which is wild. considering they started 0 and4 he's. playing that well Marv showed up a. little bit he did I don't want to. exaggerate it was more like having a. plan versus pressure and some of the. other pieces Marv had a couple nice. plays Nico being there but I can't I.
cannot say enough of how impressed I am. with CJ Stout coming off of what he did. at the end of last year seeing the 0. and4 start he's just dra drag this team. and I know they're only two and four, but drag them into two and four. They. should win their next two games and get. back to four and four and then this. conversation about him and MVP and money. is going to get really, really, really. interesting. >> Yeah. I don't know about MVP if you're. not in the playoff conversation, how. that'll actually go, but I hear what. you're saying. MVP type. >> It's the context of Yes.
>> Yes. I understand what you're saying. The type of play in which he's doing. because nobody expected the defense to. be ass, you know, and that was kind of. letting him down early, put them in this. whole if he can build them out. Certainly Warren's conversation from him. walking in to training camp looking the. way he looks to the Texans having a bad. start. You wouldn't know that he's had a. great season. Now he's getting a chance. to showcase it a little bit. Kaim. Fairburn hits home a long field goal for. them to get a win. Now we're allowed to. showcase it. Congrats to CJ Strad. The. mental toughness had to be absurd all. offseason. Now the AFC stack, we just. talk about Josh. CJ Strad's playing his. best ball. There's one team that's been.
on top of the mountain for some time. Although the Patriots cracked back in. there this past season. The Kansas City. Chiefs look better than ever. Go ahead, Con. Yeah, it's a good point about the. Patriots, too. They're the only team to. kind of take down Josh Allen. But, uh, yes, Kansas City, Dan, it feels like. this year. Yes. >> This year, yes, and last year they won. that division. But, uh, KC, it feels. like Momes and Kansas City is almost. evolving their offense. Obviously, it. goes through Kenneth Walker the third. Now, he's also MVP candidate so far. through the season. What have you seen. from them on offense? and what are they.
doing that makes you think like okay. Mahomes is getting better while they're. also changing what they're doing kind of. schematically in it. >> Yeah, the word you used evolving spot on. there there's just an evolution of their. offense and they I would have told you. over the past couple years I couldn't. say they just throw a lot at you. They. throw a lot at you right now. They can. get into a bunch of different. formations. They get into a bunch of. different play actions. They can run the. football from multiple different ways, mult multiple different looks. Um, I. think the, you know, the other part with.
their offensive line, just being able to. fire off the football and not living in. the shotgun drop back world has been a. huge part. And so, we've been waiting. for like these perimeter players to. truly make the impact. But what's. happened is Kenneth Walker and their. willingness to run in different ways has. made the receivers jobs easier because. they're not having to just line up and. beat two guys. It's like, "Oh, well, we. could run it. There's only one corner. There's free access. Great. I can get. the ball out and Patrick's playing.
unbelievable. You know what's crazy is. Patrick's coming off of the the ACL. They put him multiple times yesterday. from underneath the center and just went. straight sevenstep drop back with a dude. coming off a torn ACL. It's ridiculous. They've got some guys stepping up at the. receiver position played at a high. level. So I think Boston Connor, your. word of evolution is just a really big. deal. They they have totally taken this. old school stuff that they like to do. and completely morphed it into this new. 2026 version that they like to do scheme. wise and they make you prepare for a.
lot. >> Yeah. And Kenneth Walker, >> it begins and ends there. Anytime. linebackers are getting sucked up off. the running back, that's where. everything else can kind of open up. Is. it not right, Dan? You know all about. those linebackers getting sucked up. You. used to have a great play action. Suck. them up. That's all you were trying to. do is suck suck suck suck suck suck suck. them up. That's what they're trying to. do. That is a key to good offensive. football, especially in the NFL. Need a. good running back. Kenneth Walker has. done that for them. >> Absolutely. Kenneth Walker's done it. The commitment to give them the football. has done it. I think everyone blocking.
on their offense. You know what's an. interesting thing for me as well with. their run. Maybe you can answer this. He. always reverse pivots out on his. handoffs. I don't know why. >> Yeah, I would. >> He's the only quarterback in the NFL. that does it. He never He never opens up. left and hands it off left. It's always. open up right to hand it off left or. open up left to hand it off right. He's. the only guy that does it. I don't know. the necess maybe it's like I'm opening. left so you pause for a second but from. underneath the center when they do it. I'm like he's always opening reverse and.
I would love for somebody in Kansas City. to tell me why. >> Well, you just gave away the entire. thing. I mean he's trying to get these. DBs baited. You know, he's switching the. hips, flipping the shoulders. He they. have no idea. And then guess what he. does whenever he flips those hips the. opposite way and they think they're. getting Kenneth Walker. Boom. Boom. Boom. >> I didn't know he was so fast. >> Kenneth Walker explosive. And Debbot. brought this up uh early. He was in a, you know, a two-headed uh stallion last. year with Charbanet and um himself. So,
he had a split carries. They're feeding. him. To your point about the commitment. there. The first game, it was just like, hey, this is who we are this year. Let's. get this as much as we possibly can. He's worth it. Uh he has changed the. game. And him just taking coaching. Yes, sir. No, sir. Sounds like he's the. perfect teammate over there. Schneider. has to be a little bit worried about. letting him out of the building that's. going on. >> He's I mean he's the MVP of the NFL. right now. >> I like that. >> Hard to argue. You going to vote for a. running back? >> You going to vote too?
>> I almost said a couple years ago I want. to say with like Saquon and then. Jonathan Taylor had some years I would. if I if like MVP voting was happening. today I would vote for Kenneth Walker. >> Okay. I like that you would vote for. Kenneth Walker. you have a vote that can. be swayed and changed and you will go to. bat for your vote publicly. We have. heard that last year and we will hear. that every year. We appreciate your. transparency. There's another. quarterback that might be worthy of the. conversation. Go ahead, Ty. >> Yeah, Dana, on Friday you said you. thought that the Packers kind of needed. to change their identity and do what. they did against the Bears and it's. like, hey, Jordan Love needs to throw it.
50 times a game in part because of the. embarrassment of Riches they have at. wide receiver. But. >> do you think like is that sustainable? and they're going to get Josh Jacobs. back. So, I assume things are going to. change a little bit, but they look like. they seem to have kind of gotten things. right. Like, do you think that over the. course of the whole season is. sustainable for them to kind of go on. like a deep playoff push? >> I I I'm starting to buy the answer is. yes. Um he is just in such control right. now uh with what he's looking at, what's.
going on, how he's throwing the. football. I don't even think they played. well last night and they dominated. I. don't I didn't like the way that Laflur. called the game either. I thought they. ran the ball too much. I would have just. continued to chuck it. At some point I'm. watching the game on the second half and. the plane and I'm like stop running the. ball on first down. Um the offensive. line's playing better. I love the. receivers. I love Tucker. I still walk. away saying I really think this defense. is on the verge of being awesome in. Green Bay. >> I felt that week way for weeks. I think.
the secondary is getting better. I'm a. big Ganon guy. I do believe all the the. the the constant picture change that. they're presenting. If they had Cooper. and I knew Micah was coming, I'd be. pounding the table. I thought think that. could be a top five defense in the NFL. for the remainder of the season. Not. having Cooper hurts. So, but I really. think with the way the defense is. playing and how good Jordan Love is. Yeah. I think it's like let's run our. offense like Cincinnati does through our. receivers. >> Let's Golden drops couple touchdowns.
Christian Watson, if you look at his. run, he has a touchdown. There was a. couple missed opportunities there. I I. mean they they could have ran this thing. up on. >> they could have should have scored. >> and uh that's on uh Packers offense. versus the Cowboys defense. You just. mentioned the Packers defense. They had. a hell of a night, but maybe the other. conversation should be had. Go ahead, Debbie. >> Yeah, they had Dak looking off balance. in the week before he was looking kind. of rough too. I know you mentioned kind. of going into that game against the. Bucks last week. Would they have any. answers for those pressures for the zero. blitzes? And you look bad last night. What's what's kind of wrong with Shotti. and Dak right now in this Cowboys. offense? It's embarrassing how they're.
trying to handle blitz. It's. unacceptable for a coach as good as. Shotty and for a quarterback that has. played as long and as well as Dak. Prescott to handle pressure the way. they're handling or not handle it. I. mean, if you go to the first third down. of the game last night, it's like third. and three or third and four. They take. CD and George and like get them into a. stack. They run like quadruple slant and. they just throw a swing out to the. running back. Green Bay's right there. He doesn't see the backside safety on. the picks. This one by Cece is not. necessarily on him, but you know, all.
Jonathan Ganon kept doing last night was. putting seven guys at the line of. scrimmage and being like, you don't have. a plan for it. Sometimes five would. come, sometimes six would come, sometimes four would come, they would. drop out. And um I want to give credit. to Green Bay. It was awesome. But the. fact that they didn't have a better plan. and it was almost trying to be perfect. It would be I would be saying the same. thing if they were doing this against. Minnesota and Flo, you'd be like, why. are you doing that to Flores? know. you're not supposed to do that and they. continued to do it last night. So the I.
I put it squarely on Brian Shanheimer. and Dak Prescott just not having a good. clear plan for how they wanted to handle. the different picture presentation from. Green Bay. >> Yesterday was the first game in which. Dak Prescott threw multiple. interceptions targeting CD Lamb. CD. turns into a DB pretty good. >> CD can turn into DB pretty quick and. break that thing up if need be. He also. wins those 50/50 balls more often than. not. did not work out for the Cowboys. Everybody might be scared. Speaking of. being scared, I thought that's what it.
was supposed to look like with the. Chargers. >> I thought, Dan, I thought that's what it. was supposed to look like. >> One of his guarantees, Justin Herbert. would be in the MVP conversation midway. through November. >> That's the one I have wrong right now. What's the date? >> There's a couple. >> I think that's the one. Uh, they got. fired. >> October 19th. The charges got a month. They got a month. They got Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa. We don't for. let the man speak. >> Okay. All right.
>> No, I agree. I like it. They got. families. >> Someone's I I fans fans have families, too. >> You're right. There's a lot more fans in. one coach. >> Did you see the first offensive snap of. the game for the Chargers? >> Disgusting. >> Did you see the first snap? >> They've given up a [ __ ]. >> dude. They ran like some shotgun weird. motion fake reverse jet sweep throw. swing pass to an unblocked corner and. I'm like. >> McDaniel for you loves to get cute. doesn't he? Look at this cool play I. got. It's not going to work. >> Hey genuinely genuinely do you think do.
you think it's because Justin Herbert. doesn't have the pizzazz of 2 on a. football field that that's why the. offense isn't working? Do you think. McDaniel has given up on his style of. offense and he's not even trying to. implement it for Justin Herbert? Why do. you think we're not seeing the success. out of Justin Herbert and McDaniel that. we thought we were going to see yet. another week? I mean, this is one of the. most disappointing things we have seen. in the history of ball. This guy was. supposed to be on the rise to get MVP. conversation is what you're saying. You. weren't the only one saying it. A lot of. people were saying that. We had McDaniel. on the day you was signed as offensive. coordinator for the Chargers. We can't.
wait to see you cook. We can't wait to. see what you and Herbert do. There was. videos at a training camp saying, "Oh my. god, I've never had a quarterback that. could do that." You know what he's never. had a QUARTERBACK DO? LOSE THIS MUCH. I. MEAN, they stink out there in the. charge. Why? >> Their offensive tape is awful to watch. and it is week by week. I don't know the. why. I I honestly don't know. I'd love. to sit here and tell you. I mean, >> I just think it it. >> Oh, Dan, I Before you go, >> this notebook just says I don't know. >> Let me read. I do. I see that. I don't. know. Three words. That's why you have. six weeks worth of notes in there.
because whenever you look at the. Chargers, you say, "I don't know." NFL. researcher put out 2026 Chargers are the. first team to start 0 and6, average 15. or fewer points per game, and have 15. plus giveaways. Jesus. 2009 Titans. Anytime you're with the Titans, not. good. Colts lost to the Titans, general. manager gets fired. You get you get in. in a conversation with 2009 Titans, somebody's probably going to get fired. QB to start season six with 10 plus. giveaways in 15 plus sacks taking over. the last uh 30 years first. Justin. Herbert, Eli Manning, 2013. Uh so what. Dan just I don't need to hear Allan.
though. >> What. >> I need to hear what the hell happened. >> Yeah. Well, I think it is the spot-on. example of scheme and player do not. match. We thought they would. We thought. there could be remember talking in the. summertime with you guys of saying, "Okay, we'll see. Herbert's a throw it. hard guy, not an anticipation guy. McDaniel's a super creative guy.". >> And it just is not matching. There is a. reality of injury. This offensive line. has absolutely been decimated. But. that's not the only reason cuz they were.
struggling when everyone was healthy as. well. And so I think the quarterback is. fed up. I think he's sick and tired of. what's going on with him. He looks. deflated on the football field. >> I've watched this guy play awesome. football for multiple This is the first. snap of the game. What? I don't even. know what the point of the play is. >> How would you coach? >> What system are you running with Justin. Herbert? >> Uh the system I would run with Justin. Herbert would be very similar to the one. that Ben Johnson runs with Caleb. It. would be hard underneath center. Um. multiple options. We're trying to create.
chunk explosive plays in the pass game. Um I I it would not be a um point guard. offense and I think that's kind of what. Mike McDaniel's offense is. It would be. a javelin off offense almost like what. uh. >> Bruce Arens with Ben. >> or Drake May does in in in many ways. Yes. Bruce Arens with Big Ben 100%. Something like that. >> And you would just go in there and be. able to pick it right up if they were to. fire McDaniel. You'd be able to drop in. there. >> I'm not saying that. >> Saying they have the toughest remaining. schedule in the entire NFL and they're. sitting at 0 and six already. I mean it. it is.
>> go home. The Chargers have the most. difficult remaining schedule in the NFL. >> It looks like it though. Like watching. him, he looks he looks like like just. completely. >> The last time we seen him happy was when. he was. >> Yeah. smooching. >> Yeah. I practice. >> You know this Thano when he was rubbing. hair. >> in that music video, too. Smooching hair. too. >> And then he was doing commercials with. glasses on. He looks super cool. >> Good commercial. >> Great commercial. >> Everything was leading to Justin Herbert. becoming the next superstar. He's got a. super famous girlfriend. He's in love.
with fiance married. He's in a. commercial looking super cool. So, so. funny. >> But you guys know the league. They're 0. and6. Their defense has actually been. okay for the last month. >> They're 0 and6. Their offense is. historically bad. Something has to. change. >> And the organization like we we know how. it goes. It okay, coach, quarterback, offensive coordinator. Like one of those. three people, it's going to impact one. of the three people. I'm not advocating. for it. It's just the reality. And so if. you're the organization, are you are you.
moving on from the coordinator? Are you. moving on from the coach? Are you moving. on from the quarterback? Like that's. just how this league works. >> Yeah. And it feels like it's inevitable. at this point. I would think the. offensive coordinator in this particular. situation would be who eyes would go to. first and then McDaniel would get a job. somewhere else, do something. ridiculously awesome, and everybody. would wonder what the hell happened. Now. you that might have been one of the. teams you were uh cryptically referring. to. Go ahead, Tone. Yeah, Dan, you. tweeted, "We have some Super Bowl. contending teams in quotations. Uh, weigh some outstanding defensive.
performances today." Who are you. referring to? >> Man, I got to go back to that one. Um, one of them was. >> the Rams. >> Yes, the Rams and the second team. There. was two teams. Um, >> uh, >> Oh, you just cryptically threw. >> uh Ravens. Rams and Ravens. I thought. THE MAN, WELL DONE. >> DOGS, baby's. mind, man. Gigs. >> I thought the Ravens defense That's my. note. Just wait wasted a great defensive. performance. Um, you know, special teams.
let Baltimore down again. It's you can. point to special teams for the second. time this year being a re reason why the. Ravens lost. They lost them to New. Orleans game because the kick return in. the I think a blocked field goal. yesterday. I think there was a blocked. field goal or missed uh kick. Um, and. then I think the Rams. um. >> say the same thing. Second time special. teams has killed them. Yeah, but I can't. put yesterday on just the special teams. I. >> If you have a healthy kicker, that may. change. >> But you're squeaking by the Cardinals. Like you're the you're the most.
undisiplined contender in the NFL right. now. I don't think Matthew's seeing the. field great. I don't think he's seeing. it bad, but he's not seeing it great. >> They have no play action pass game in. comparison to last year. Um they're way. too passy. Uh, and it's it's an it's a. football team that you're sitting there. going, I don't know if they right now. make winning plays when it matters the. most. I know they make losing plays, but. they're not making winning plays. And. that's shocking for a team that has won. so much.
>> Do you think it's because they lost. their kicker, >> but Pat, if they if he's there. yesterday, they're going to win by like. three or six and not play well. Like, >> you don't know what group he does to. him. >> Yeah. >> You don't know what group he does. >> He might throw a touchdown. >> You don't know what group he put him at. safety. >> Dude, there's a play yesterday where. Jaylen Watson. >> Jeez, >> is he he jumps like a wide receiver. screen. >> Mhm. >> He gets on the other side of the line of. scrimmage looking at the ball and it. gets thrown one yard upfield for like an. eight- yard completion of Mike Wilson.
I'm like, you knew the play. You jumped. the play and they get eight yards as an. offense. I It's like that's the example. of. >> why Sean's frustrated. >> Sean is now 0 and six including the. playoffs. He has never beat the Lafllor. brothers. They uh he's never beat him. >> They're an undisiplined team, man. They. are right now. And that I hate saying. that. >> And he talked about it. He didn't like. it at all. He actually talked about. their discipline and lack of discipline. He even compared him to some other. figures in the world. What' he say, Ty? What did this guy say? >> I don't know. Well, he just Yeah. I. mean, we we [ __ ] suck, man.
Undisiplined. Got to get it right. Got. to get it right now. Um you know, but. I'm too pissed to do anything. And you. know, we suck. >> Okay. >> Blake group is tough as [ __ ] though. I. will say that. He didn't he wouldn't. even say his name. He said if we had our. normal if we had a kicker didn't even. know. I think he kind of got confused. He's groupy. Got body on the line for. the team. >> Dude. >> Yeah. He ended up with a leg brace. >> He end up with a leg brace on this one. So you tell me. I don't know. He could. have been on the planet. We love groupy. >> It's my favorite clip in the history of. the NFL.
>> It's up there. >> Duet just clearly seeing him and saying. yes. Like that is what's going through. Duiver's head there. Still gets out of. bounds. Cardinals get a big win. Groupy. will be on the men. We hope he comes. back. You know who's not coming back? >> Who? >> Chris Ballard. >> Oh, >> I like Ballard. >> as the man. >> Yeah, I think he's cool. But dude, you. swing and miss and he's swung and m. missed four or five big big takes, dude. >> 6 8 n 10 11 12. I'm doing this with my. daughter right now.
>> Yesterday was unbelievable to watch. >> Yeah, we were there. >> Gosh, >> we were there. I'm a paying season. ticket holder. >> Were you there, too? >> No. You should have You should have. heard the place when they blocked that. punt. >> Oh my god. >> Comedy. >> They were so pissed. >> I could imagine. >> Oh man. >> Was it 13 nothing? >> Yeah. >> That was We had a couple blown. opportunities there. We settled for. field goals. Spencer Shredder. Thank god. the guy never misses. >> Never. >> Okay. He our kicker never misses. Rico. has been a phenomenal punter for us for. a long time. He got hit twice yesterday. That's not good. Finitary goes into a.
ring of honor. That's not good. We don't. have a celebration. And the Titans are. the shutiest team in football and they. get a massive win over this Indianapolis. Colts team who has money all over the. roster. Daniel Jones has not looked like. he looked for the first nine weeks last. year which we hope we're going to run it. back. The Colts whenever we were on top. of the world last year. Unbelievably. unlucky that that guy's able to keep his. feet in bounds after the deflection. Great pick. That should have been a. touchdown. That was driving into the red. zone there. We are moving at will at. that point which turned over multiple of. those times. But Daniel Jones does not.
look like the quarterback that we had in. the red zone yet again. another. touchdown probably getting taken away at. least more points off the board. So that. those are tough mistakes. Daniel Jones. has not played anywhere near good since. we give him a $100 million contract. He. has been a part of the problem, not the. solution. He was supposed to be our guy. I still like the thought of Daniel Jones. playing good football. Doesn't look like. it's happening this year. And then Chris. Ballard, he just gets fired. His. assistant, who's been with him for every. single decision for the last 10 years, is now in charge. We got a lot of. decisions to make here before trade. deadline on what the team is going to.
look like next year. Dano, why is Daniel. Jones look so bad this year verse maybe. last year? And what would you do if you. were the Colts general manager today? Well, not yesterday. Today, >> I think part of it is you're down your. number one and number two pass catcher. No, Pierce, no uh Warren. So, that. that's part of that. Yesterday, yesterday. >> we paid Pierce the highest wide. receivers and he wasn't healthy. So, >> the Wench trade that fell obviously. drafting Anthony that fell. You pay. Daniel that fell. Pierce, you pay that.
fell. Sauce, trade and pay, that fell. So, like those are, >> as much as I love the guy, now he hit. Quinton. Um, did did he draft Darius. Leonard? >> Yes. >> Okay. So, traded for Bucks. So, like. there's also been some hits, but those. five misses, I I think if you're the. Colts right now, if if I were. leadership, I'm not in the job. >> I would be taking the two or three best. players I have and trying to get as much. as I can from them because you're in. complet rebuild mode. You just are. That's we we can be honest about where.
this team is moving forward. Even though. I'm a huge stiken guy. So, um and I'm. not you're not trading Warren, but like. Jonathan Taylor, >> you could think about it. >> So, I I routed off this Quentyn Nelson. last year in his contract. You might be. able to steal like a third rounder for. him. Absolutely. Got a year left. Jonathan Taylor, unbelievable football. player. He We might be able to get a one. for Jonathan Taylor for how dangerous. >> I wouldn't be surprised if you got a one. for Taylor. >> Exactly. To for We don't have any. because the trade for S. Gardner Deorest. Buckner. Unbelievable. >> You could I you I I think there's teams.
that are playoff contending football. teams that would give up two ones for. DeForest Buckner. >> Didn't JJ just come on last week though. and say he contemplated uh retiring this. offseason though. >> Yeah. But but he's come out and said I. don't like this. I'm not happy. He's. still very motivated. >> Like like if you were. >> We have great football players across. the board that we could move on to. We've all we've paid them all which is. why it sucks that we suck. We're two and. 13 in the last 13 games. We paid so many. guys. >> Could you imagine if San Francisco got. Buckner back? Yeah, everyone. Yeah, everyone's thought. about.
>> Buffalo and you put Buffalo Buckner and. Walker on the field together. >> Bino better keep his ass off the phone. >> We don't need any of that. But that that. decision now is getting made by a guy. who's Chris Ballard's right-hand man. >> Yeah. >> I don't know how that happens. I I. genuinely don't know what the right. answer is. >> Who else would you put in that role? >> I don't know what the right answer is. >> Maybe Shane Styen takes over. What. happened whenever they move on from Quy? Does Kevin Oonnell then start taking. over? >> Hell no. You don't put more on Shane's. plate. >> That's what I'm saying. Who does what. then? >> Got to get Daniel Jones black pen back.
to playing good football. >> You don't need one. You just auction. I. think you don't even have a GM do it. You just say like. >> make them. >> Yeah. Bingo. >> Carly. >> Quinn Nelson walks out and all the GMs. are there and they start bidding on. them. >> You'd be okay kind of fire sailing the. team. >> My. >> not disrespecting the players. I get up. But like. >> my first thoughts soon as we move on. from Ballard is wow. This is a lot of season left. There's a. lot of decisions that have to be made. right now for the future of the Colts. >> Like we got to be able to get something.
for Quentyn Nelson because we might just. lose them anyways after this season. >> And it's got to be about like 2028, not. 2027. >> Yeah. Whatever the case, we don't have. picks in either of them. So we we got to. we got to there's a lot of huge swinging. decisions that have to be made here in. the next couple weeks about very. important guys. Are we going to keep. them as our pillar guys, which I think. they're great football players that you. would want to keep as your pillar guys, but it eats up a lot of roster, eats up. a lot of salary. The next general. manager, is he going to want to do it? BS has played great football for us. >> I would not trade him. >> No. Me? No. None of these guys, if you.
were in a fairy tale land, would you. would you trade would you want to move? Jonathan Taylor, you need a good running. back to be good in modern football. You. need a great running back to be good in. modern football. But he is a hot. commodity, I would assume, because you. need such a good running back. We're not. going to win the Super Bowl this year. was fighting a GM after week six. Can we. get a one and something for Jonathan? >> Trade maybe one of these guys. I would. only only one. >> Who would you trade? >> It's too hard. I won't say a name but. only one cuz it's too hard to find good. like draft pick draft picks look great.
when you got Oh, I got two ones. I got. two two. I got But I mean, what's the. hit rate on draft pick? >> If Minnesota called Indie and said, "We'll give you a two for Jonathan. Taylor.". >> No. >> Now we need a one for Jonathan. >> Yeah. Need a one. >> We're going to need a one for Jonath. >> A one and a three. I think you get a two. for Quinton. >> How old is JT? Like 28. >> I think Quinton on his last year is. going to be tough. That's probably a. three if I had to guess because it's a. one-year option. >> Yeah, the Jurgens thing. That's the only. reason it makes me think you could get a. two cuz Jurgens just went for a two. >> Got a two, right? >> A two and a five and they had to send.
like a six back. And Quinton Nelson is. sure he's been paid already and he's a. little old, but he still has another. full contract. >> 27. Jonathan Taylor's 27. >> Once again, would love. >> 27. >> Yeah. No, I'm not. >> Yeah, he's so good. So good at football. He he. >> he's been good for like a decade. >> I would have said 32. >> Yeah. >> Yeah. Buckner. Buckner there. You. talking about Buckner and him getting or. being worth a lot to our team. He is all. these guys are like. >> Yeah. him being 27 would give me pause. then. >> I thought he was like 30 31. Jonathan. Taylor. >> Yeah. >> Buckner's 32.
>> We don't have ones Dan trading them for. Sauce Gardner. So like the next general. manager that's coming in. Congratulations. >> What's the dead cap pit for uh where. does the cap situation for Indian 2027? It's got to be high. >> Doesn't even matter. Forget it. It does. not matter. They need picks. Damn. >> We need stuff. And it's not about us. drafting people. It's about us using. those to get people if we have to. It's. like. >> you've already given yourself kind of. the leeway to do that by firing Ballard. It's like, hey, pull the rip cord now. Like, what are you waiting around for? You think, well, maybe we can make the. playoffs this year. It's like, no, they.
fired the GM. They know. >> nobody's going to trade for Daniel. Jones. So, DJ's our guy. Okay. DJ's our. guy. Anthony Richardson. I mean, maybe. there's enough hope that. >> I wonder if you would entertain playing. him sooner rather than later. >> Yeah. I mean, maybe with the way Daniel. Jones is playing as well or. >> Yeah. If you're just saying DJ's your. guy, then it doesn't matter what else. >> Unless he starts to play good football. the game because if you don't have a. quarterback playing good football, you. don't have a chance. All the other two. year, right, for Daniel Jones, too. >> Thought it was three for like 100,
right? Three year 100, but probably two. year whatever it is. But yeah, it's over. a hundred. He's a $100 million. quarterback for us. Yeah, we just signed. him. >> Yeah. >> Yeah. >> Alec Pierce, we just signed him. The. highest deal. >> Didn't you pay Sauce, too? >> Yeah. Two. >> He came. We took his contract. He was. already making. >> I thought there was an extension dump. >> I think he was already making 30 year. He had just got a new deal from the. Jets. >> Gotcha. >> Two ones. >> Two ones. >> We can't tackle a soul on def. >> Pay Ward 20 years.
>> Got a pick. >> Pay Bayham 20 a year. >> Who buying him is is playing well. Oh, >> I don't need to see you making your. dance. We're two and 11. >> I don't need to see it. I love Cam. Bonham. >> I would like us to keep Cam Bonham. I. love his energy. I don't give a [ __ ]. about how you came up with your dance. >> Two and 11. >> They got to know not to put that out. >> They put out after the game. >> After who? The social media group. >> Yeah. >> No, it was some other group. Let's go. behind the scenes. Cam Bonham who's.
telling us the actual breakdown of a. real NFL celebration. It was a great dance. Cam Bottom has. great energy. Let me tell you the behind. the scenes of it. Don't do it. We're two. and 11 in our last 13. General manager. just got fired. >> It's not. >> Jones eating up 13.64% of the salary. cap. >> I bet. >> Alec Pierce eating up 10.26%. >> Yikes. >> All right. >> But there's not I looked it up. There's. not a lot of dead cap for next year. So,
>> all right. Good news. >> I think 29th in the league is what I. saw. >> Good news. There's only 32 jobs. Somebody's going to want it. >> Well, yeah. >> Somebody's going to want to be a GM. >> 1,000%. >> This is so. >> You know what we haven't talked about? >> No one with options, but like. >> how good is Jeremy Bernard? >> I know. 11 catches yesterday. >> Good player. >> Germ. >> coming back in time. >> He flipped the game for them. I feel. >> Pittsburgh. Pittsburgh was awful through. three quarters. >> That's why four quarter football, Dan. >> That's what I said, Dan. And They would. have been awful for four quarters and.
lost. >> And then they threw them the the bubble. and all a sudden like the bubble changed. everything. >> OT win for the Pittsburgh Steelers. That's fun. New England Patriots are all. the way back. That's fun. Green Bay. Packers all the way back. That's fun. >> We'll be on the sideline tonight. Fuel. Pass. ESPN 2. >> Awesome. >> Yes. >> Be a friend. Tell a friend something. nice and might change your life. Also. join us. We'll have a good time down. there and I think we're going to be good. at it. We We had a rehearsal. Shout out. to Hans and Anie at the NFL. Feel like. we're pretty comfortable. And uh big big. day with big shreds. Breaking down all.
the big plays is next. Goodbye. Well, you guys got to get into the Colts like. that at the end. I don't want to be. miserable standing at the big day with. big shreds. They're a ball of fun. >> They got their leather [ __ ] jackets. on and you guys want me to be super. negative heading in there as we talk. about this cold. >> It just seemed like your dober was down. on them, dude. You keep going. We're two. and 11. We're two and 11. We're two and. 11. I can't. >> That needs to be talked about. We're two. and four right now. >> I can't paint a good picture for you. guys. Last 13 games. Me season ticket.
>> What was the record before the like. eight and two or even? >> We're the best team in ball. That's why. we bring it back. We need Daniel Jones. back. Did you see how good this is? The. best we've ever been. >> They might not need a first, though. At. this rate, you might be able to get Arch. Manning in like the six round. >> You're a piece of trash, dude. >> Hey, it's true though. >> What do you want? I mean, it's not me. >> I don't know if he's He's got another. year. >> Yeah, >> he should go back. >> He's staying. >> He's going to be a hawk. >> He might be a mirror. I was trying to. sell his whole family at one time down. >> I don't know. The quarterback you got. might be better. >> Hawkins is going to be gone.
>> He's leaving again. >> I hope not. Guy's unbelievable. 27. touchdowns, two turnovers. >> Lot of points. >> No, Rich Rod has made him not made him. what he is, but I mean they those two. together. >> 541. >> That's one game, five tuddies, 25 of 33. >> He was the young man at Oklahoma. >> Yes. >> That was the young man at Oklahoma. Now. he's a little bit older than young man. at West Virginia. And our defense can't. get a stop. We get a huge window this. weekend. Hawkins would be in Heisman. conversation if the Mountaineers just. had some sort of defense.
>> IT'S A BREEZY DAY HERE on Red Bulls. >> Maybe he'd go play with Texas. >> Yeah, seriously. >> That'd be unbelievable. >> Where's Where's Arch gonna play next. year? >> What' you say? >> Where's Arch going to play? >> He's not He hasn't got any better at. Texas. >> I think that's the big question that. Texas has to ask. How come he hasn't. developed? >> Quinn didn't really get any better there. either. How come he hasn't developed? Like, how come he hasn't developed to. the way that he should? >> I don't know. Because then you got. people that say, "Well, isn't that on. him?" And it's like, "Well, no. Don't.
you go to college to get better?" And. then you start thinking to yourself, "Well, why hasn't he? He's a Manning.". Well, then you start looking at his. technique. It's like, "Well, why does he. throw like that then if he's been at. Manning Pass Academy since he was a. kid?". >> I have no problem with the way he. throws. >> Really? I don't think I don't think I. don't think it's conducive. The one. interception was egregious. There was no. one around him and he just decided to. throw it in double coverage to a deep. safety downfield. I don't know if you. saw that one. It was just. >> Yeah. the down the deep post on the. middle of the field thing. Yeah. I think. he's interesting because like there are. >> 33% of the game where you're like he.
this guy's awesome. >> Yeah. >> And then there's 33% of the game you're. like, "All right, that's good." And then. you're there's there's 33% of the game. you're like, "What the [ __ ] are you. doing?". >> Seriously, >> I love the Manning family. >> I love Arch. I love all of it. But you. would think they'd be able to piece. together a winning strategy with him at. quarterback for how athletic he is, how. big he is, and everything. It just seems. >> But they don't allow the athleticism. like. >> That's what I'm saying though. Like they. haven't really. >> and that part really isn't on him, >> you know? It's like what do you want? Like that isn't that like an offensive I. mean like that's on Sark. Yeah.
>> Like this super athletic use that a. little bit. >> Florida might be a really good football. team even though they had a couple bad. weeks. Yep. We definitely got to talk. about that. How about Summerall getting. gifted a cowboy hat? >> That was awesome. >> That was awesome. He's I like him. >> Yeah, I like him a lot. I hope they. continue to be good or can continue to. consistently be good, whatever it's. going to be for him. I like him a lot. down there in story line. Have you. watched a lot of college ball this year. or not? >> Oh, yeah. I love watching college ball. It's like kind of nice to I've got a lot. like going on with my kiddo stuff, but. like in the afternoon, um, watching.
college ball has been awesome. This past. Saturday was nuts. >> Nuts. I was disappointed I didn't get to. watch you guys that much on Saturday. morning cuz I truly truly I'm not saying. this love watching game day specifically. in like certain moments. Um but watching. the Florida State Miami ending the Notre. Dame be dude I was blown away by how. good BYU was. >> Yeah, >> like how fast they look and how. developed so much. >> big time. He's he was awesome. He was. awesome. I thought Notre Dame played. okay, but the big takeaway was just how.
impressive BYU was from like a a. violence, a physical, a speed, a size, and Bayer playing like quarterback. getting through progressions, dealing. against coverages was so impressive. >> Yeah. And BYU as a whole, it's not. stopping. They got a lot of contributors. to that NIL. >> Yeah. >> I mean, they are going to continue to. get great players. Bear Bachmeire. Catholic, he's their quarterback. So. they're open, you know. >> Oh, he's Catholic. >> Yeah. >> That surprised the hell out.
>> You don't just have to be a Mormon to go. there. They are very interested in. bringing people in there that are their. type of guys. Now, they're not going to. bring in like Jim McMahon, I don't. think, is going back right now. Right. now, I don't think that is something. that's happening. I don't know if they'd. be recruiting me out of Pittsburgh. So, they do try to find guys that will. certainly fit in with what they have. going on over there. >> Do you know where a lot of them are. from? Like recruit lot uh. >> Nevada. >> Uh Nevada. I think there's some uh some. us in there, but yeah, they they do. They're everywhere, though. They got. Florida guys in there. So, just like the.
Catholic school kids want to go to Notre. Dame. >> Yeah, >> all of the LDS kids around America like. want to go to BYU and some of them are. incredible athletes, so they're. naturally going to go to BYU regardless. But with the NIL thing with Ryan Smith. and many others, it's like they're able. to play like, "Hey, we think you'd be. great with us. Focus on ball. You're. going to love our camp." I mean, it is. >> the cleanest. >> the mountains. It's like a postcard. everywhere. You know, the buildings are. getting way in the way of the postcards. You know, like that's kind of we're. driving. >> Remember two team in the country now.
Now, obviously you knew them a lot more. than I do. And I I should have saw it. coming with the brother Pat and the Book. of Mormon. I You still caught me off. guard when you picked them to Did you. waffle? What What was it going into. that? You knew going into it? >> I woke up and I was like, "Yeah.". >> Yeah. That's how it happens for you. Like. >> Yeah. I wake up. Yeah. I want to see how. it is. just if you can kind of feel if. magic is there, you know, you can kind. of feel. >> You said that Old Miss uh. >> Yeah. And they went you I'm pretty I'm. actually You're on a heater. Pretty hot. bat right now. Whenever it comes to you. only picked the home team, it's like. nope. Went right into Iowa, picked Ohio.
State, went right in Alabama, picked. Georgia. I It just You could feel it. It. >> you can feel it. You know, if you could. feel it felt special like it felt like. it was going to be a pretty monumental. day. Even at the very beginning, I was. like, it feels like it's going to be a. biblical day. We've entered a ethereal. realm. I think tonight could be special. It felt like that. Just those kids were. out there since [ __ ] Wednesday. >> Peter Parker. >> the the uh the field goal kicker. >> How great was it when you were like. >> you lined up for the kick. He's like. didn't even know it was a thing.
>> Yeah. >> Yeah. >> I did not know. Actually, I was here. Tuesday just to watch the show. Had no. idea about the field goal. Ryan Smith. was really pumped. >> That put him in the picture. >> The photo. Yeah. >> I told him the night before. >> I told him the night before. >> You gave him a heads up. >> I said if you come and you're around. that kick, >> it's happening. you're getting called. in. And he goes, I want to come support, you know, I want to come see. I'm like, do do not go near the kick. Do not, if I. see you, my natural reaction is just. going to be to do that. Him and Sweeney, his business partner, Notre Dame guy, we're going to give money, uh, million. dollar donation, two million to the kid,
which we assume. >> Do you think Sweeney had any idea cuz he. threw Sweeney in it. >> Yeah, he No. No. Well, Sweenie was there. the night before, too, where I clearly. told him, "Hey, you show this is on you. You show your face around this kick." I. get excited. I start feel Cosmos coming. in from the clouds. That That was fire. >> Landed on the dot. Skydive in with the. ball for the kick. >> Is that the same Cosmo for all the stuff. they do? >> Yeah, it's it's a cougar. >> I saw I was thinking the same thing. >> Oh, no. I didn't see anything. I'm just. wondering like. >> it's a cougar. >> Cosmo is does everything.
>> Yeah. >> I just I'm wondering if it's if it's the. same Cosmo for. >> Donny. These Mormons are freak athletes. Especially they're a cougar. >> Cosmo's Mormon, too. >> Yeah, he's a Mormon. I didn't know I. didn't know Cougars uh had religious. designations. That's high moral code. >> That's brother Cosmo. >> Oh, it's brother. >> Okay. Okay. Right there. >> That's brother Cougar Cosmo coming in. >> Um Elder Young. >> Yep. >> 10 and0 on picks. >> Wild. Oh, Steve. Yeah. Yeah. >> Do you know that Steve went 10 for 10? >> I I saw it over the weekend. Yeah. When.
he was like 10 and he had cleats on. >> Unbeliev Yeah. He's ready to play. If If. I didn't know I was going with BYU. before him telling me, "Hey, I'm going. to play for the BYU Cougs today." I'm. like, I would have definitely hammered. it. He goes 10 for 10. Thank god I. didn't have a bad day. >> Yeah. >> Oh my god. Cuz when we come to ESPN, Steve exits ESPN. >> Sure. Oh yes. >> So a lot of the articles were, "Hey, they're getting rid of a legend for. these [ __ ] that are coming." Me and. the boys mostly. So thank God I didn't.
have a bad picking day. That would have. been everywhere. That would And on that. note, Steve Young will be joining this. program tomorrow. >> Oh yeah. Hell yeah. >> Cannot wait to talk to Steve. Such a. legend of football. So good at media. Obviously great at football still and. picking games. >> What's he running now? >> I know. >> HGGC. I think that's fun to some sort. And then he's got some other tech stuff. >> Greenwich, Connecticut guy. >> Is it? >> Y. >> Yeah. >> Yeah. Not anymore. He's a Silicon Valley. guy. He is. >> Didn't his like great great grandfather. start the school or something? >> Bring him. Yeah.
>> Yeah. Do you listen to anything that he. said out there? That was really the. first thing I said to him. I'd like to. see. >> I told you I didn't get to see all of. it, unfortunately. Yeah. >> Oh, yeah. You're being a dad. >> I love watching it. But. >> but yeah, I told him I said since you. are the great great great grandson of. Brigham Young, I would like to thank you. and your family for creating all of this. and they gave a. learned that day of as well. >> Yeah. >> Book of Mormon hit me in the leg. >> I don't know if you saw this. I read. from the Book of Mormon.
>> I saw you read from the Book of Mormon. because people were mad about it. Yeah. >> Well, people are also happy about it. So. it all picks. >> it all look at whatever my algorithm. comes. >> Yeah. Everything I do, you know, >> some people pumped and some [ __ ]. You know, it's kind of the way life is. But yeah, that book, we're standing out. in the middle of them. Four minutes or. so. >> And uh they're pretty there's a wild. bunch. I mean, I don't know how they. have that much energy. >> What did Coloni say? Sober energy. Sober. >> Yeah. Sober. >> loud. Sober. Sober sober noise. >> Sober noise. Sober chaos or whatever.
>> What's that? >> What are you listening to? >> Not real, right? What's that? >> He thinks the cougar. Your feet's real. >> Okay. >> This guy's a jackass, man. >> In Dan's defense, it looks very real. It's not moving much, but. >> but there you have you have stuff, right? Like, dude. Yeah. >> I think it was. >> Yeah. >> I think it was at one point. >> That's a. >> I tell you what, Pat and Kirk might be. standing there. Dez wouldn't be standing. there if that was real. I take a point.
>> So, you're no ball better than that. >> Okay. So, so we're standing out there. playing out there and uh we got four. minutes there out on that circle. So, we. go up there, we throw it to a film room. where Sabin and Reese pre-record. something about the Utah offense. We're. standing up there amongst them. It's. crazy. I mean, it is absolutely crazy. They're banging on it. They got people. throwing Pop-Tarts up there. I mean, it. was pretty chaotic. I get hit right in. the right calf. Boom. Something pretty. significant. I look down. It's the Book.
of Mormon. It's a little Book of Mormon. like a little baby one. I pick it up. PLACE GOES CRAZY. YEAH. Soon as I pick. it up and I go to uh Herby and Dez, I. go, "Wait for this." So, this is during. the break. Wait. During the break, I. crack that thing open. THEY GO, "YEAH.". GO CRAZY. RIGHT. SO, THE GUY HAS a bunch. of highlighted like verses or stanzas or. whatever they So, I I'm like scrolling. We got like 30 seconds before we're. back. I'm scrolling through to find one. that I could read that like would. somehow be able to lead into some sort. of transition. So, Dez is there. He's.
like, "What are you doing?" I'm like, I'm going to read from the Book of. Mormon. And Dez goes, yes. Dez go, I. I'll help. I'll help. I'm like, okay, thank you. If you watch it back when I'm. reading that, Dez is in the dark. >> Is he your hype man? >> Yeah, he was gassing it up. And then. Herby obviously going, "Let's get into. this thing." I'm like, I guess we It was. just such a moment that is obviously not. planned or prepared, but just kind of. happens. And uh we try our best to. embrace every university. I try my. absolute best to embrace all these. unique experiences because that's what.
separates college football and college. sports from everything else. And out. there, I mean, they are the they are the. school of the Latter- Day Saints. So, when you get hit with a Book of Mormon, it's just staring at you. It's hard not. to just. >> got to do it. >> Ye, especially I found one with a bunch. of Ye's in it. I was very excited for. that. I was. >> You know what the You know what the good. thing about going. >> Nephi? Did he write that whole thing? Did Nephi write that whole thing? >> I don't know. I have to double check. Um, the good thing about going to Utah. potentially this week is. >> he finds G bars. He was. >> That's John Smith, isn't it? Or.
something. >> No, he had Smith. Okay, he found a. place. Then they go down to Illinois. They kind of build this entire thing. And then there was a little bit of a war. against the Mormons. Uh, Joseph Smith. gets killed. Brigham Young rallies crew. Goes to Utah. Okay. >> Settles in Salt Lake. That's how it all. kind of starts. Got. >> the pilgrimage is a big part of the. story though from Illinois to Utah. I. believe it's a big part of the Mormon. story. But no, his name is Joseph Smith. John Smith was a Pocahontas. >> Yeah. >> Okay. >> People who brought it also a very big. pilgrimage.
>> Yeah. And why we have Thanksgiving. >> Remember. >> uh Utah's going to want to one up BYU. >> I think. So the mighty Utah student. section. >> Yeah. They're going to want to. >> us. >> Who are they playing Saturday? >> Well Houston. >> swangers are coming to town. >> Houston win this past weekend. >> Yes. >> And Utah's coach is the guy who used to. be the DC. >> Yep. >> Yeah. >> Loves it. He's been there since 200 long. six. 16. >> Long time. >> Something like that. He's been here. Can't wait to get back out to Utah. It. is a nice uh I went out there with a.
little bit of congestion. >> Chris Bear. >> Yeah, Mountaineer will do it to you. >> 4,600 feet up there. Just beautiful. >> They got a bunch of snow recently, didn't they? >> Uh the mountain tops always have snow. >> Night cold, morning cold, afternoon. >> Beautiful. >> Kind of hot. >> All right, let's get the hell out of. here, boys. Uh, we got to get um our. overreaction tweets in. >> on the other side of the break. So, we'll let Dan Olowski hit the road. Dan, we'll see you tonight on the sideline. >> Excited for it, boys. >> Hey, thank you. >> Hey, remember Dan,
>> you don't need to use two and a half. minutes if you only need 15 seconds. Okay, just a little mindset as you go. into tonight. Okay. >> Do you remember that first field pass? The first hit with Dan Olowski? >> Oh, yeah. >> Dana, what do we expect? That wasn't the. first field pass. The first one we did. was Clemson uh LSU national title. >> with Adam and Mean. >> Yeah. >> Yeah. I remember that way back in the. day. We were walking around the Super. Dome, brother. >> He was with Drew Brees this weekend. They did great. They did good.
>> Adam Mean always did. >> you good booth, >> Dan? We will have eyes on the stopwatch. though whenever you you start breaking. this thing down. >> You have too much information. >> Save it. We got four quarters of. football here. >> You know what I mean, Dan? Fourth. quarter is ball. >> Yeah. And when we get to the fourth. quarter, that's when we need the best. stuff because we're building that first. quarter, second quarter, third quarter. to what? Fourth quarter football. That's. when we want to be at our best. >> But I always want to get things in early. so they pay off later rather than. waiting for them to happen. I like being.
right rather than being repetitive. >> You you like being nosteris. >> Yeah. >> Just shut up and listen. >> Well, just make sure you you remember. back whenever you remember when Twitter. had 140 characters and that was it. >> Yeah. So, you'd still be able to get. your message out. You would just have to. get rid of like the I'm and make it him. You know, you'd have to kind of That's. what we need you to do there. That's. what we need you to do there. >> I'll do it. >> And those pants, are those the same ones. from the booth whenever you look like. you would hot dogs or legs situation? >> Oh, yeah. >> Oh, dang. >> Do you remember that?
>> Throw those ones away. >> I need those. >> No, I still have them. >> You still have Are those those? >> No. >> Those are a good pair of khakis right. there. You remember this day, Dan? This. where everybody was talking about? >> Yeah. Yeah, that was uh London. I think. that was Jacksonville, Denver. Was that. the game you farted? >> No, that's Buffalo, Tennessee. >> Oh, >> are you going to do that tonight? >> Never know with me, man. >> Yeah. FIND OUT. >> GUESSING. >> Keep them guessing. All right. Be a. friend. Tell a friend something nice. It. might change their life. We're just. batting it around. >> Hell yeah.
>> Everyone just shaking their heads. >> Absolute goober. >> Say Dan. >> Thought you guys were done. >> All right, Dan. >> [ __ ] you, dude. Love you, Dan. >> You're literally saying goodbye. >> We'll be back on the other side with our. overreaction tweets as Danovski exits. stage left. >> He better do better than that tonight. >> He will. He will. >> Anything's better than that. >> No doubt. Hey, not a bad little Monday.
we're about to. Not at all. >> Weather's spectacular here. >> Spectacular. >> All right, let's wrap it up with some. overreaction tweets. I'm sure. everybody's really calm. >> Mhm. >> Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. I'll tell you what, it. was it was a little tougher finding them. today because it was just inundated with. Colts once. >> All right, how many of those did you. pull? >> Just one. >> Okay, good news. I thank you for doing. that. All right, go to the bathroom. We'll see you on the other side with. some of the most ridiculous tweets in. the history of ex overreaction tweets on. the other side. We'll see you then. Goodbye.

sport. >> Hello beautiful people and welcome back. to Santa Clara, California right in the. heart of Silicon Valley. Here the host. of tonight's Monday Night Football game. Week six wraps up. Power three starts. now. >> Football is the greatest. will be. celebrating it tonight as the Washington. Commanders come in with Jaden Daniels to. take on the San Francisco 49ers who are. currently undefeated and trying to. continue. on their voyage of maybe becoming the.
second team in NFL history to become. undefeated Super Bowl champions like the. 1972 Dolphins that is still in front of. the San Francisco 49ers if they can get. a big time Monday Night Football win. with us on the sideline on ESPN 2. We. cannot wait to hopefully amplify the. experience and call a game that'll be an. instant classic or. a demolition. >> by the San Francisco 49ers. Either is on. the table, but we think it's going to be. epic because that is what football has. been all year long. It's not just me.
here. As we look at the tail of the. tape, the rush offenses are similar. The. pass offenses are near each other. The. points scored, one team's much better. than the other. Rush defense is about. the same. pass defense is vastly. different. >> and Brock Bird's been playing his. absolute best ball. Mike Evans, if you. listen to Adam Sheper in the first hour, said he should be playing and then. points allowed. Commanders give up a lot. of points. The Niners don't. So. everything kind of sways heavily in the. Niners favor, especially it being a home. game, but the NFL and football is what.
it is. Unpredictable. Anything could. happen tonight. We'll be on ESPN 2. The. toxic tables here at Boston Connor and. at Ty Schmidt. One half of the hammer. Cowboys AP10. What's the percentage of. what on tonight's bets tone? What do we. need to think about what the public is. doing? So, maybe we think about fading. >> You could fade the public. Uh the public. is heavily on the 49ers tonight, which. is not a surprise. Um but if you look at. it as far as prime time games, um the. Packers closed as a favorite last night, but they opened as a dog when the Lions. came out. So, if you go by that, the.
Dogs have won 10 straight in a row on. prime time. I'm not saying that's going. to happen tonight, but when you talk. about the NFL and how unpredictable it's. it's been, Prime Time has been one of. those situations where the dog has won. obviously, like I said, 10 straight in. that situation um as far as opening line. is concerned. So, it's not like it's a. guarantee tonight that the Niners are. going to blow him out, but that's what. people think. >> Situations are situational, deep, we. know that. And in the home, >> uh in the prime time dog situation, it. feels like they've been barking. >> Danger bark tonight, you think, with.
this San Francisco 49ers. loaded roster. >> I think it's definitely a chance. Like I. said, as soon as we all think we got it. all figured out and we know how a game. is going to go, it surprises us and goes. the opposite way. Now, will that happen. tonight? We shall see. But, um, I love. that we're going to be boosts on the. ground seeing these, just looking at. these graphics, some prime time players. out there. Obviously, two very good. quarterbacks and great players on. defensive side of the ball as well. So, I'm excited about tonight. I mean, that's the best part about the NFL. You. have no clue what's going to actually. happen once they take that field. Yeah,
football is seemingly unpredictable, which is why sports gambling is not an. investment. >> No, it's not. >> No, >> don't be [ __ ]. >> Fun. >> Close to an investment. >> Don't ruin it for us. Tone hasn't found. a winner in some time. Yesterday, >> I was. >> I saw Tone pretty bummed out yesterday. >> Bad week. Tough weekend. >> Tone was sitting at a a little bit of a. smaller table. >> We were all up here at a bar. >> lined across. I deserve to be there. >> Tone came in late. Was sitting down.
there. I go, "Tone, how you doing?" He. goes, "Not good. Can't find a winner. right now." I'm like, "In what?" He. goes, "Anything." And I go, "Anything?". He goes, "Anything today?" That changes. tone. >> You're right. >> How do you see tonight going, Tone? >> I. >> Uh-huh. >> I like the Niners. >> Okay. >> I don't know if that's good or bad. We. >> I like both quarterbacks to score. >> I like that, too. >> Hardy Jaden Daniels touchdown. >> You think Brock Hardy's gonna. >> Oh, yeah. >> He might Yeah, he might hit his dance. Yeah. His dance, >> the pretty douge. >> Just the dance party.
>> John Wall kind of passed that off to. him, I guess. >> Yep. >> Yeah. Teach Party how to Douggee. He. learned that early in his life and he. said, "Let me tell you a little talent. that I have and he is good at it.". Speaking of being good, the internet is. great at overreacting to things or. underreacting to things on certain. overreaction Mondays. We have 12 of them. from around the internet which Tai went. and found. This morning I put out a. tweet saying, "Hey, listen. Welcome to. another magical overreaction Monday. I. cannot wait to hear your thoughts. The. best ones in Tai Schmidt's eyes will. make the program. All you got to put is. hashtag I don't want to overreact.
>> Here we go. Let's start inhouse here. Boston Connor says, # I don't want to. overreact. But the Cleveland Browns. being 4 and2 and the LA Rams being two. and four is mindboggling after the. months of conversation about the Rams. before the season. I love it. Todd. Monkins boys are taking the league by. storm. And I will be a Cleveland Brown. supporter. Is that forever? That's. another AFC team, Todd. Oh, no. That's. not forever. That is a coach Monahan. I. feel like a LeBron fan when it comes to. coach Monahan. I'm going to follow him.
into the depths of football hell if. that's where he wants to go. I love what. they're doing over there. We. legitimately spent three months talking. about the Rams about how who's going to. beat this super team when Aaron Donald. comes back, which he eventually did. They're going to walk to the Super Bowl. No, no. Monk Hen's boys is what we. should have been talking about. They. might walk to the Super Bowl. I am so. far in Ken's watch. >> No, they'll be dog. between the lines. Yeah, but I'm all in.
I love what they're doing. I love This. is why the NFL is the best because. there's a team that you don't really. care about that's irrelevant for the. entire off season and then boom, we're. midway through October, almost to. Halloween, and Monk Hen's boys just. continue to win. >> I bet MIZ IS INSUFFERABLE. >> THINK ABOUT THAT. >> Oh my god. No, I'm sure if you ask some. cynical Browns fans, they'll say, "Yeah, this is all uh for inevitable." Monten's. there to change this. This ain't the. same old Browns. >> They said the Browns ain't the Browns.
anymore. [ __ ] up. Now they've been. winning. Let's go to another. overreaction here. This from Bruce. Brown. # I don't want to overreact, but. >> JJ McCarthy 243 yards in 11 minutes. We've seen enough. This guy is going to. run away with the NFC East. More like. the NFC least. Bruce Brown. JJ McCarthy. is the savior over there. >> Yeah, I I couldn't believe my eyes to be. honest with you. I was firmly in the. Jameus Winston is the guy camp until. halftime of that game, but JJ came in. and just lit it up. And you know, it it.
is a shite division and we looked like. hammer dog shite on Sunday. But we're. still two losses clear in the loss. column in the driver's seat of this. division and we're going to the. playoffs, boys. >> Break one. You're you sound like you're in a. walkie-talkie, Bruce, but I do like the. words that you're saying. Da, do you. think JJ McCarthy maybe with John. Horball leads the New York Football. Giants to a title? Because Scataboo. didn't even get a run yesterday and they.
got some big time yards. >> This is an absolute uh overreaction. Absolutely. Backup quarterback gets in. there, plays numb. This is the best they. will play. I think uh you know what? I'll be optimistic. I think I think. Bruce Brown's right. You know, >> I'll be optimistic. >> Good job, Bruce. And a baby, Bruce. Bruce. >> Bruce also said on Thursday that Jameus. Winston is the best backup in the. league. >> He said he was better than Drew Lock and. many others. That was right before the. game kicked off. We were in uh uh Coach. Sunday, too. >> Jameus Winston was in the lead and Bruce.
Brown says, "I think we got it right. with the backup quarterbacks. Everybody. was celebrating Drew Lock and everybody. Jameus Winston's right answer. Me and. Gumpy go better than Drew Lock. Drew. Lock's undefeated. So is Jameus. And. then boom, they poop all over themselves. and he turned the corner quickly to JJ. McCarthy. Ty Schmidt. >> Yeah. Can we please stop with the. Everybody would love to have Jamus on on. their team. Listen, I know he's he's got. a cool personality. There's probably. about 25 teams who don't want that. [ __ ] guy in their locker room. And I. like Jamus, but like let's not stop. acting like everybody would [ __ ] kill.
Jamus on their team. >> I would love to have J. >> I would love. Let's go to the next one. from our bag. # I don't WANT TO. OVERREACT, BUT IT'S a glorious day for. Colts fans. >> Wow. Osama bin Ballard has been shed. >> Had to get it in. >> Canned. >> Yep. >> Rip bozo. You won't be missed. The. season is saved. Colts aren't losing. another game. Super Bowl here we come.
That's what happens when you make a. little bit of change. I don't like the. way you talked about him calling him. Osama bin Ballard. He's been great for. our city. Uh you won't be missed. I'm. sure there's a lot of aspects where he. will be missed. Airbag though here. really t taking some uh some liberties. and speaking his truth. Debbie, how do. you feel about Tai picking this one to. be the one? And how do you feel about. airbag saying we're going to the Super. Bowl now that the GM's gone? >> I don't know about going to the Super. Bowl. And look, everybody has said it. We've heard it over time and time again. Chris Balor is a good good man. And.
obviously Osama is a very very bad man. I don't like I don't like I don't like. that comparison. But uh I just got. thrown I just got thrown off a little. bit. >> Yeah. >> You didn't expect that? >> I didn't I just got you. >> All right. >> What happened? >> You didn't think he was going to get Bin. Laden he gets fired? >> I expected that. I didn't expect. my uh. >> other series to transpire. Yeah. >> Oh, what's that?
Tell you later. >> Yeah, we'll tell you later. >> Kids kids met if you. >> Oh, man. I missed it. But. >> I was trying to tip you off. >> That was wild. It was It's wild. But any. when you lose to a to a winless team, things going to happen. So. >> you said Kingsman. >> Kizmet. Okay, let's go to the next one. >> This is Brody Brewer. # I don't want to. overreact. >> Brian Shenheimer needs to be fired along.
with Cardier CP. Defense is trash. Offense has demons outside but throws. checkdowns to the flat and meatball subs. to the defense. Burn it to the ground. and restart. We not them boys anymore. Oh no, >> they're out on Shenheimimer. I You said. these was a bad group of tweets. I. disagree. We got some fast ball coming, especially down in Dallas. >> The first couple were were very good. Uh. the we not them boys anymore. That that. Yeah, exactly. I gave pause. I was like,
"Oh boy, this guy's really going through. it." Listen, give Shotti a break. Wow. >> A break. >> Shiny. >> Give Shidy a break. That's what I said. >> We love Shiny. I mean, yeah, exactly. Great guy. But I I can understand as a. fan how it, you know, when you lose week. after week after week, it gets really. really tiring here. And like, listen, we. got to be better. We got to be better. You know, kind of what what Shite. Stinking has been doing with the Colts. as well. People don't want to hear that. after you lose. >> It's a it's a freaking hard freaking. league, man. >> All right, let's go to the next one.
It's from Mike Dunn07. #I don't want to. overreact but the Browns traded Miles. Garrett to the Rams and the Rams became. the Browns. McVey is 0 and6 versus the. Laflur brothers. Rams should start. buying their tickets to Cancun because. holy moly they are sh. >> We fit that one pretty good. The Miles. Garrett trade is not working out how. anybody thought it was. Congrats to Mon. though and Jared Vers. >> Jared Vers got sent out just like golf. get sent out. >> Yeah. Now granted, the Rams win a Super.
Bowl with Stafford, right? >> But golf gets sent out, finds a new home. in Detroit. They have a success. Verse. gets shipped out of LA back to Ohio to. the Cleveland Browns. Basically saying, "See you later, buddy." Instead, they're. turning around the entire culture. Good. for them. I would like to see Miles. Garrett play football good again. Me, too. I would like to see that. Let's go. to the next one, shall we? This is from. Clint to Haven. # I don't want to. overreact, but it's over. Done. Finn, the end. Panic's project has fully. penetrated me and left me for dead. Time.
to partner with LAC, the Chargers, to. get Herbert and Beer in Hotlanta to try. and win a Super Bowl in the next two to. three years. I love Penn, but I love. winning more. >> Oh, no. >> Wow. >> Giving up on Penn. I saw him go to the. blue tent. >> Yeah. >> Early. >> Yeah. >> Tool warming up. >> Is he I don't know. I love him the way. when he's playing, but it's like. >> they just signed Andy. >> Is he Andy Dalton says I'm not going. back to the Eagles. Get me the [ __ ] out. of here. >> I like that. >> Yeah, it must be. >> Let me go somewhere else.
>> Must be terrible. >> It's tough. But PennX, I guess the. injuries are just going to be the thing. I guess that's just going to be the. thing with Penn. I I don't like it. >> Feels like it so far. >> So good. Has a chance to be so great. down there. Especially Bjon. Let's go to. the next one. This one's from Biz. Marquee. >> That's cool. >> She said SHE. >> OH, BABY, YOU. YOU GOT WHAT I NEED. But you say he just a friend.
>> And you say HE JUST OH, BABY. You. >> You got what I need. >> Shout out Bismar. >> Shut up. >> He was a great beatboxer, too. >> Oh, yeah. >> Oh, he could do it all. # I don't want. to overreact, but the pack is back. I. hope the league enjoyed the three weeks. we sucked. Watson and Golden, best wide. receiver duo in the league. Love is out. there bombing teams like a [ __ ] B2. pilot. Packers to the bull, bro. At Ty.
Schmidt, it because he added you, you. liked it or is this guy saying uh same. praise as you liked? >> Uh no, I think we're on pretty similar. pages here. I like the uh Jordan Love. bombing people like a uh beat. Yeah, beat love the bruh. Um no, I mean they. just, you know, they did they sucked. those first couple weeks and I think uh. Packers fans were very very worried. about it. And um I don't know, they're. just kind of turning it on at the right. time. It it does still worry me. I mean, they just can't run the ball. I hope. Josh Jacobs changes that a little bit. But as of right now, I mean, the the. defense is just unbelievable. And you.
know, when we get Micah back in mid. December, I'll be I'll be ecstatic. >> Week 12. >> Well, it's you know, yeah, Chefy and. he'll be back in a couple weeks and then. it's mid November and then it's maybe. even later and then no, it'll be soon. So, I just I just want to have some sort. of idea when he's coming back. >> Zero clarity. Let's go to the next one. This from Glorioso Sean # I don't want. to overreact but it's the same old. Ravens losing games the teams they. should beat another double digit lead. blown starting to wonder if it was Harbs.
or if the Ravens franchise is just. cursed backup quarterback division game. certainly possible but the Ravens fans. are done with a debuff. >> absolutely I know one of my uh friends. Tony they were pretty pissed off losing. to the Browns so like you said backup. quarterback though things going to. happen but uh actually no Sheffy didn't. know a when Lamar was going to be back. either. So, who knows? They do this. Turn around. >> What's that? >> Losing like when they're up double. digits in the fourth quarter. They've. done it more than anyone in the history. of the NFL. >> There was a tweet about all the games. that they've lost. Stack, stack, stack,
stack, stack, stack, stack, stack, stack. There's like eight of them, nine. of them that are seemingly must wins, guarantee wins that they've tricked off. somehow. It's seemingly the story of the. Ravens until they snap that they'll. always ask. When Lamar gets back, the. Ravens bonafideed, we all think, but he. obviously isn't. And who knows when. he'll be back. We hope soon. Let's go to. the pirate kane. # I don't want to. overreact, but the [ __ ]. Carolina Reaper will get a billion. dollar contract and lead the Panthers to. the promised land. # keep pounding #.
Bryce up, son. >> Bryce up. >> of that. >> Bryce up. How about him with a hard. count to win that game? >> Yeah. >> Okay. And then hit a little bit out. Hey, how you doing? Yeah, he is. >> He was fun to watch his reaction after. he gets a hard count. I don't think he's. allowed to do that with his head. They'll probably call that next time. Who cares? He wins the game. And give me. that. Got you. >> That's how you win. >> Carolina Panthers last year were a good. football team. They're starting to prove. they might be a great football team this. year. A lot to prove, a lot of season. left, but they look a lot better than. they've ever looked. And Bryce Young. looks like a damn guy. Debo.
>> Yeah, he looks great. Looks like an MVP. candidate legit. Uh coming in this game, he was averaging like 317 a game coming. off a by-week. As long as those weapons. on the outside can stay healthy, especially T-Mac, this team is going to. be especially his offense going to be an. offense to be reckoned with. All right, last one here from Fraen 2. # I don't. want to overreact, >> but. >> love her. Love her stopping by. Uh, look. out AFC. This is not the same old. Steelers. Instead of losing a game to a. terrible team, Big Mike on one leg leads.
us to a win. Aaron looks younger than. ever. Our defense is figuring it out. Warren is an absolute dog. Stairway to. seven. Here we go. Oh mama. of the law. >> Boom. Boom. >> Tone, you feel like that? >> Yeah, I it's crazy that the the whole. entire fan base feels the exact same way. because yesterday was a pitcher perfect. game that they would have lost uh in. years past and they did not. Um, and you.
just saying Renegade because the last. time they came back from a lead that or. from a deficit that big in the fourth. quarter was when Renegade were created. And Aaron moving up in the pocket, stepping out, looking great in the. fourth quarter. >> Yeah. 2002 or something. 2006. >> 2002 in the Browns. >> Yeah. They they played it and they came. back and won and they say, "You know. what? Maybe we stick this thing uh. >> into the vault every single week.". >> Are you concerned at all that you're. down a couple scores or. No, that happens. That happens. you know. that you were in the league. You know,
you show up uh you know, a little lack. of dasical on a on a road game after a. big win uh the week before, but you. know, they came back this that was. Aaron's moving. He's moving a bit out. there. So, yeah, I feel pretty good. about it. I am worried um about Big Mike. uh and his health moving forward, but. >> he is not going to make it to Paris. I. guarantee that they're going to be. flying from Pittsburgh somewhere over. New York. His ankle is going to swell. up. HE'S AH, THIS THING [ __ ] HURTS. TURN the plane around. Turn I'm done. I'm not going. Someone else could coach. this week. >> You think Mike McCarthy's turn to play?
>> I think THERE'S A CHANCE. AH, [ __ ] GOD. DAMN. >> I think there's a good chance that. happens. >> There's no way. There's no way Mike. McCarthy would let his boys fly without. him being. >> I get on a [ __ ] boat and go red. I. ain't [ __ ] flying. It's like swelling. up like a goddamn balloon. One of them. [ __ ] balloon animals. Get me off this. thing. >> Should we just code FaceTime him? Just. getting treatment. >> Getting treatment for sure. >> Let's Let's let them know we're live.
>> Gang ready thing. >> Might be A CHANCE. >> THAT [ __ ] HURTS. >> MIGHT BE doing that right here. >> Stop poking. It [ __ ] hurts. >> Oh, it's haunting her. I don't like in a. blue tent. Haunting her. >> Them taking him to the blue tent. This. is so hilarious. >> He was probably so offended when I I. don't go to blue tent. Let me get to the. locker room. Blocker room's too far, coach. >> Oh [ __ ]. >> Hope he's doing a lot of rice this week. rest ice compression elevation. >> Yeah. Bingo. >> Are they flying over here now?
>> Uh, no. They're going Thursday or. Friday. A. >> lot of unrest. >> Saints are Saints are doing the seven. days there or whatever. >> Come on. >> Especially when they get over there and. they got to do all the stuff like they. got to go up the Eiffel Tower. I ain't. [ __ ] walking all those stairs up. there. I ain't doing it. No way. >> I can't wait to see Aaron Haka Molotov. like 60 yards. >> I'm going to say I'm going to say it. these. >> Aaron, speaking about going to France, we are all eagerly awaiting. We assume. that'll be on Steelers.com at some point. in the next couple days as they do old.
school media. You're going to have to. come to our website. You want to hear. what this guy's got to say about going. to France. These planes are really low. >> They're flying high traffic. Flying low. >> Two Southwest, one Delta. I think an. American just came. That might have been. 300 feet above the sky. You, you know, the touch and go that we all saw on the. internet. I think that's happening all. day, every day here in Levi Stadium. Is. that because we're at altitude or is. that because these planes want to get a. good look at this beautiful stadium? We'll have the best look in this in the. house. >> Oh yeah. >> Tonight as we're on the sideline in the.
back of the end zone in a 3ft by three. foot area. >> Don't even think about stepping out of. this box. >> We will have three NFL security guards. tackle you immediately. There's little. sensors around this little zone you're. standing in. You're lucky you're [ __ ]. getting to do It's a pretty state. >> Well, we're very thankful that we get to. do it. We will try our best to amplify. this game. Enjoy the hell out of this. game as maybe the best team on the. planet host the Washington Commanders. We'll be live on ESPN 2. Uh Monday Night. Countdown starts at 6 on ESPN. Cannot.
wait to get out there. Cannot wait to. wrap up week six of the NFL season. College football continues to be great. NFL continues to be fantastic. Sports. are the absolute best. What's going on. in baseball? Anything? >> Uh the Rays took two from the guards. this weekend. and they are up 3-2 with a. game six coming up. So, we might be. looking at a Rays Brewers World Series. here shortly. >> Love that. I can't wait to watch good. baseball for it all tonight. Great. football. >> hopefully for it all.
>> To wrap it all together. Yeah. >> All right, boys. Great work out here to. the crew that set this entire thing up. Thank you so much. >> Incredible work. >> Thank you. >> Incredible work. A lot. It's a lot. It's. a lot. >> It's great. >> It's a lot. This is a huge setup. This. is very. >> so much gear. >> So much. >> so much. So we are very very grateful. for everybody's efforts. I mean they. built a [ __ ] shade thing because they. thought sun was going to be on us for. the last 20 minutes of the show. >> Like just last. >> would have been kind of nice that sun. did start start bringing it. >> The sun would have been it is a little.
chilly in the shade. Sun would have been. great. But like we are very grateful for. these folks piecing this together. Thank. you all so much. We are very thankful. for the opportunity tonight to the boys. in the tank. Good work Foxy. >> Good work. >> Good work lad. Great show. >> You too Foxy. I didn't like the pop that. uh that you were kind of sending out. there about Blake Groupy amongst other. conversations. >> I'll tell you what, that Blake Groupy. hit might be one of the funniest NFL. plays in the last five, maybe 10 years, let alone Big Mike limping on the field. and missing halftime. What a great.
weekend of ball. >> Yeah, great weekend of ball. >> He did get his halftime adjustments. right there, right? >> I can't [ __ ] get over there. >> Like, do you think the boys the boys are. giving him hell today, right, at. practice? Yeah. You know why you didn't. answer us? It's because everything he's. been hearing from everybody is exactly. what he is expecting. >> Oh, no. Not this. >> I thought you were calling to lift the. front up. Yeah. Last time I called him. and asked him for stuff. I guess that's. going to be our set right down there. Okay. That's sweet. Oh, yeah. Kind of. watching that come together.
>> And then. >> this stadium is awesome inside here. It's. >> cool shape. Yeah. >> It's very new. Can you go up to the. scoreboard, too? Because they got the. scoreboard lit up here. >> Scoreboard's gigantic. >> Yeah. It's like 15 of the Colts. >> Yeah. Somebody lied to us earlier. >> Maybe. >> Yeah. Big time. >> What's that? >> Said this place is a dump. He didn't say. that. Say that. >> He didn't say it was a dump, but he said. one worst stadium. >> Worst stadium in the NFL. >> Just a big concrete silo. >> That's what he said. All right, I got to. go to hoops.
>> He did show up this morning and those. little slippers slippers. That guy's the. best on for two days. >> He's the greatest. He's the actual. greatest. Went three and0 on his picks. at game day, too. work, Steve. >> All right, we'll see you tonight. 6. o'clock Monday night countdown on ESPN. 8:15 ESPN 2 Field Pass.
