The Pat McAfee Show Live | Friday May 15th 2026
This one's for three. A.J. HAWK, $5,000.
OH MY.
>> THE following program is a collection of. stooges talking about happenings in the. sports world. It is meant to be comedic. and informative. The opinions expressed. on this show do not necessarily reflect. the beliefs of their peers, their boss, or ESPN. There may be some cuss words. because that's how humans in the real. world talk. If you are a young, please.
seek permission before watching any. further. >> Hey. >> Wait. >> Let's. go. >> This show stinks, and the fact that you. listen, we are very, very thankful for. >> Mac could be. on the line with a gorgeous assist. >> The all-time leading tackler for the. Green Bay Packers. >> You think? >> SCORE! >> DAMN IT! >> YOU CAN TELL A FRIEND SOMETHING NICE. COULD change their life.
>> Hello, beautiful people. And welcome to our humble abode, the. Thunderdome, on this feel-good Friday, May 15th, 2026. This sports program. begins now. Sports! >> are the absolute greatest. Last night. hockey had a couple games that turned. into blowouts. A series ended, a series. continued, and tonight we got two. basketball games on Amazon that could. decide if we're going to see a game.
seven or not. Now, there's been some. blowouts, there's been some big wins, and every night could be electrifying, but the Stones need to go into Cleveland. and get a win to have their first NBA. conference final since 2008. >> Oh, yeah. >> Don't worry about it. Donovan Mitchell, nine years in the league, has never won. What are they saying about him? Will he. be able to do it in Cleveland? We shall. see. And then the Spurs, just two years. removed from them being 22 and 60. >> Jeez.
>> Bad team. >> They become the aliens team. Then all. the boys start balling. They have to. take on an Anthony Edwards alien-like. recovery. Remember, it was just what, like 3 weeks ago he hyperextended his. knee. Who cares about any of it? They've. been balling in the Timberwolves tonight. in the late one. Both on Prime. Cannot. wait to continue the NBA playoff. journey. We'll have Q-Rich joining us in. the second hour. I'm excited to hear who. he thinks is going to take the Is Cade. Cunningham going to continue to live. with a team around him that has been. uh in everybody's words, seemingly,
letting him die. >> Yeah. >> Is Cade Cunningham going to be able to. carry their squad into Cleveland? >> Mhm. >> Is Eminem going to be there again? >> He should be. >> Is he traveling to Cleveland? >> 50 should be there. >> MGK's got something to say about it. >> Well, is MGK going to I I would assume. MGK is going to be in there somewhere. >> "The Miz" going to be there? No. >> No, he's busy losing a wrestling match. Probably the Miz. >> No, the Miz might be there. We we don't. know. But the Miz might be throwing an. honorary tip ball jump ball at the. beginning of the. >> does. That'd be a guaranteed Pistons win. if Mike "The Miz" is at that game.
>> Good luck to you and all you Stones fans. up there in Detroit. The the ball. knowers up there in Detroit calling the. Stones the Stones since what year was. that that guy tweeted? >> Uh that was like. uh long time ago. >> Oh, it's got to be an okay. Knocking. them out. Toxic tables here at Boston. Connor and one half of the hammer Down. Cowboys AP tone. Hey tone, tell me about. the gambling on these types of games. Every NBA game could be a big blowout. We've seen teams literally win by like. 50 to 60 and then 30 and then we've seen. games obviously come down to the wire.
What should we expect this evening in. these critical games that could be. sending people home? >> far Cleveland in the playoffs has not. lost at home. So that's going to be. tough for the stones tonight. Cleveland. has been unbelievable at home. They've. been unbelievable at covering at home. have the calves. So that's going to be. tough for the stones tonight and we. talked about how cave like if the stones. go on these runs where they just they. don't score for minutes at a time and it. screwed them so far in this series. Then. the other series it's as far as gambling. it goes you're all it's always like oh. the the Spurs are they're huge favorites.
but it's that's okay because when the. Spurs have won they've dominated then. they've covered by big big spreads. It's. either the Spurs win by a bunch or the. wolves win. That's literally the only. two options that it's been so far this. series. >> Well I you know there's people saying. I'm not betting against the alien. Okay? And I I happen to fall into that. category as well. But as you look ahead. the Oklahoma City Thunder are obviously. waiting. The New York Knicks are. obviously waiting on the other side and. the NHL we don't have a game for a. while. Well I have we don't have. >> Come on.
>> We'll have hockey for a while. Last. night had some magical goals. >> Yeah we did. >> Had some magical Mr. Marner last night. they're saying might have had the goal. of the NHL playoffs. He goes whoopty. whoop into the hoopty hoop into the. goalie diving asking who That was nasty. what Mitch did last night. He wasn't. just that he also had a filthy assist. This is spectacular showcase of dongles. and skill but obviously they get a huge. win. Jackie A's and the boys with torts. who did not do a post game interview.
He's the head coach of the team that. just punched their ticket into Western. Conference finals. He did not do an. interview after the game. None of the. other players really talked except for. one guy who said he loves them and. everything like that. Interesting. viewpoint from the Vegas Golden Knights. Is this a us versus the world type. mentality that the Vegas Golden Knights. have created? That is literally the. Torts culture. Now, remember the Vegas. Golden Knights have a lot of talent. For. one reason or another, they had to move. on and get Torts as the coach and. everybody in there publicly had. responded in a very big way. They said,
"We like what he has brought to our. team." Seemingly having a little bit of. an edge and now they punched their. ticket with dangles all over the ice. I. love the Vegas Golden Knights. I like. what they did for our friend Ty Schmidt, who I would love to can't wait to see. soon. They. They treat him like a like like a. Make-A-Wish child. >> Yeah. >> Yeah, they did. >> Like something was wrong. >> They put him up on a Zamboni for. >> Something was Something was wrong there. >> He was riding the He was riding the. Zamboni during the intermission while. they were, you know, freshening the ice. There was There was another Zamboni that. was on at the same time. They had.
somebody on that Zamboni as well and. Ladies and gentlemen, meet the Zamboni. riders for tonight. First Zamboni, 16-year-old. from Red Rocks High School. She just. defeated cancer 3 weeks ago, Britney. Gail. AND ON the other Zamboni, a clearly intoxicated adult.
>> Life alert. >> 33. >> Life alert, Ty Schmidt. >> He fished. They have him on camera for what? A. minute and a half. >> He pushed her off the Zamboni. >> Yeah. >> So, we respect the Golden Knights. We. didn't think they had a chance though in. this entire thing. I don't think anybody. was really expecting the Golden Knights. to go on the run that they have. certainly gone on. They obviously are. going to have to figure out the. Avalanche at some point. Is anybody. going to be able to do that? And then in. the East, you got the Carolina. Hurricanes waiting on everybody. And. last night what Montreal did to Buffalo, woo. You have to wonder if they're ready for.
the Caniacs. Hockey's awesome, but we're. going to have to wait a few days for. some games and obviously hockey is. incredibly electrifying, so we will have. to scratch that itch in other fashions. Oh, I know how we'll be able to do it. We'll go through every NFL team's. schedule. >> Perfect. >> Huge night last night on ESPN primetime. at 8:00. An entire cast from both the. NFL Network, Kyle Brandt representing, and the ESPN NFL crew. You had Miss. Laura there, you had Schrager there, you. had Hawk there, you had Dan Orlovsky. there, Kyle Brandt, and they went. through everybody's schedule. They had.
guests that popped by. They were trying. to make it a big celebration. >> They were trying to make it a big. primetime event. >> I appreciated the fact that everything. is literally becoming everything, because the schedule release, which it. still is, is an internet thing. >> Oh, yeah. >> Okay, that is an internet operation. This is where internet, digital content. creators who are hired by NFL teams have. a chance to shine. So, now that they're. making it into a linear thing as well, I. think this is a good idea by the NFL, and I want to let them know there's so. much talk about. >> Mhm. >> The schedule makers, who I think try to. gather as much information as they. possibly can about all the teams and.
projections of teams, and I assume. they're using AI and everything like. that. They're trying to figure out who's. going to be good, who's going to be ass. They have to project for the entire. league these primetime games that have. billions. >> AND BILLIONS. >> OF DOLLARS AT STAKE. How do we make them. good with good teams with big. superstars, while also providing. incredible content for everybody? And. they got to project who they think Los. Angeles Rams. Hey, they got a handsome. coach who can talk good. >> Oh, yeah. >> What we call Peter Schrager last night, big boy.
>> Yeah, inside joke, I'm sure. >> Yeah, I bet you Schrager maybe was doing. something somewhere. big boy. >> big boy. >> got a good chuckle out of that one. >> Yeah, well, he loves Peter Schrager. And I was calling him big boy. They They. certainly ran with that. Matthew. Stafford though, at his age, what he's. doing, how electrifying he is as a. football player, the style of offense. that they have, the obviously dogs. across the defense, they can win any. possible game at any possible time. Let's go and put them on primetime seven. times. I appreciate the fact that they. did that. To the six-time crew over.
there, Green Bay Packers, Packers fans. are everywhere. Chiefs, Patrick Mahomes. still exists. Josh Allen exists. And. Super Bowl champions in Seattle, six. primetime games. Hell yeah, congrats to. them and also congrats to us. We're. going to watch them. >> Yep. >> We're going to be forced to watch the. Seattle Seahawks who are so far away, but so damn dominant when they got into. the playoffs. Congrats to the Seahawks. >> Go Seahawks. >> Six primetime games, that's a huge deal, especially for the team that's currently. up for sale. >> Yeah. >> You have to wonder like maybe are they. >> At some point. >> Huh? Doing a little bit of a.
We got you. >> We'll help you out. >> Well, yeah, we will help you out. Super. Bowl champions, six primetime games, team's still going to be good, good for. them. Still bringing in Dallas Cowboys, they get five primetime games. Philadelphia Eagles, is that going to be. a drama show or is that going to be a. freak show? I liked the video they did. online. >> Yeah. >> Jalen Hurts and with the boys having a. good time, couple good reactions. Is. A-Rod going to be playing in what? >> I don't know. I don't know. >> Great reaction, super cool with his. friends. And then he go through it all. and then you see down there at zero,
okay? Colts very close, obviously Saints. and Browns really, really close. The New. York Jets, zero primetime games. They. are a tri-state They are a New York, New. Jersey team. The amount of humans that. just naturally will come from a Jets. game being on television, okay, used to. carry a lot of weight. You would have to. see the Jets and the Giants. You're. going to have to see their asses. And if. LA has a team, guess what? You're going. to have to see them too cuz there's a. lot of humans that are automatically. going to be accounted for in the. audience because they're going to have. to watch cuz it's their team. So, if.
you're a New York football team and you. are getting zero primetime games, they somehow believe that a team in. Indianapolis, a team in Cincinnati, okay, a team out there in Kansas City, Green Bay obviously has historic huge. ratings because of who they are, but to. the point that the New York team is. getting zero primetime games, they got. to think that they are going to be the. assiest team in the history of ass. That. is a crazy thing from the schedule. makers to say. A New York team, we're.
not going to get a New York pop in any. of these weekends? That. That is in That is a thought, you know? How do we maintain audience whenever. there's a potential weekend where we. can't figure out a good match up and who. we think's going to be good. They have. to project injuries. They have to. project who's going to play good. They. have to project who's going to be hot, who's going to be not. Pittsburgh. Steelers? >> Good good luck. >> You're going to see them. >> Oh, yeah. >> You are going to see them. It's like. five straight uh weeks, right Tone? Isn't it? And that's That means the. schedule makers in the NFL, they're. betting billions of dollars on they.
think your team's going to be good in. about the middle of the season. That's. good news for Steelers fans, right? Aren't you pumped up about that? >> Yeah, yeah, potentially. Uh depends. depends on how the team is, but yes, from week 10, you go Sunday night. football, then you have the 4:25. national game, and then you've Black. Friday by yourself, Sunday night. football by yourself, and then Monday. night football by yourself. So, five. weeks in a row, the Steelers are going. to be on national all by themselves, and. you're going to get a good taste of. whoever's playing quarterback at that. time. >> Well, nobody really knows who's playing. quarterback. Cam Heyward said on his. podcast, like, everybody really It's. midsummer, dude. What do we want to do?
Think he knows the system? He Yeah, he. knows. >> Singing a different tune last year. >> Well, we Yeah, Cam Heyward was saying. last year he said he wanted to know, but. after a season with him, he's like, "Hey, listen, this guy might be hiking. him. That might be on Everest right now. We. We have no idea where this guy is. So, asking him to make a decision right now. where he's got some other things. happening, I think Cam Heyward probably. understands it a little bit, but. everybody feels like in the Pittsburgh. Steelers world. >> Yeah. >> thinks he Aaron's going to be the. quarterback. What are we even doing. here? But it seems like there's just. more and more questions as the days roll. on. But if he's not their quarterback,
maybe Will Hard, maybe Drew Allar, maybe. Mason Rudolph are leading the Pittsburgh. Steelers at that time with a Mike. McCarthy-led offense. So, there's a lot. of storylines coming out of last night. There's a lot of different fan bases. that are got really bummed out. I mean, the Cardinals. They got no primetime games. >> Nope. >> And everybody's saying that their social. media teams asked to, so. >> Yeah, that's right. And they're dogs in. all 17 games. I think six or seven of. them they're double digit dogs. >> So the Arizona Cardinals lost last. night. >> They did. >> That's unbelievable. They lost schedule.
at least. >> They didn't win. How is that I don't. know. Okay? >> Not just that for coach on the floor. >> Not just not just the video. Okay? Not just prime time. Favored everything every They don't have. a quarterback either. They got Gardner Minshew. Carson Beck. >> Carson Beck did look good. He's. >> got one leg tatted uh. >> Yeah. >> just kind of with stuff. >> It's cool. >> And it it is pretty cool. >> It's cool look. >> Yeah, and I didn't expect it. Did we. know that that was It's just kind of. like I I assume they all have very.
significant meanings. I'm not saying. they don't. But just like kind of. seemingly randomly placed objects on one. full leg. and then the other one just kind of. bare. Looks like he's always wearing a. sleeve. Pretty sick. I will say pretty. sick. Is he going to go with the other. leg too? And shin, think about how bad. that has to. >> Yeah, he's tough as hell. >> Yeah, he he he's got a pain stamina and. a threshold that I think he's pretty. impressive cuz I'm not thinking he's. taking the IV and getting knocked out. doing this. No. And maybe Carson Beck is. cuz NIL is getting paid a lot of money.
Maybe he's paying for that. But I think. he's probably sitting through a tattoo. on a shin. So I think Carson's pretty. tough. And he did look good over there. >> Oh yeah. >> moving pretty good. He can spin it. He's. won games. He's been in big moments. He's been able to be you know like a CEO. on the field. And obviously there's that. hysterical moment that he has talked. about during the Miami Hurricane playoff. run where for a fourth quarter drive. that they needed he was standing on the. sideline before the kickoff and Ray. Lewis walked over to him and said, "Mr. Beck, my name is Ray Lewis." Shook his.
hand. "Nice to meet you. Why don't you. go win this game for us." and then just. walked away. And Carson was like, "Can't fail then." Whatever that Feels. like he's a bit of a dog. They I think people respect the [ __ ] out. of his dogness if you will. The only. questions have obviously come from a lot. of things that have been said on the. internet. Sure. Okay? And there. certainly has been a lot of But. everybody grows up, everybody matures, everybody changes, everybody has to go. through some stuff to become the person. that they're supposed to be. Maybe. Carson Beck and LaFleur over there. >> Maybe. >> turn a team from us to class. >> Good. >> But their social media team got murdered.
for just kind of mailing it in. I would. like to recognize some of the social. media teams that did great last night. because the schedule release is a social. media showcase. >> Bingo. >> Congratulations to more than just a few. teams this year. Congratulations to. these particular five. >> There we go. >> First of all, the Chargers the Chargers. social team always. >> Yeah. >> Okay? They're in LA, Southern California. They. got a lot of super duper minds. And it. feels like a lot of understanding of. ball, too, which. is kind of on display with some of the.
teams with things that they post, how. they post, where they post, when they. post. Kind of like, hey, clearly admin. does not know ball, but has a job that. they're not supposed to have that is. pretty important in the NFL. And then. you see like schedule release stuff. where they're all kind of on display and. there's seemingly some teams that are. always at the top. And I would assume. that their branding and their imaging. and all that [ __ ] is good. Chargers. social team, unbelievable. >> Mhm. >> And I think that's why some people buy. into the Chargers hype every single year. is because every time on our phones we.
see chunk awesome from the Chargers. >> Yeah. >> And it's hard not to just be like, I. like them. I like hard ball, I like. Herbert, I like the way they brand their. team, I like that they got a brand new. practice facility. I think it all kind. of matters. And then they they put me as bum ass at. the end, I think. >> What? >> Yeah. I I think there was a little bit. of a nod to me being a bum ass at the. very end of the Chargers thing. I think. the Colts did an incredible job this. year. >> great work. >> Last year, abysmal. >> Yeah, that was bad. >> Bad. Last year, abysmal. You they did. something on uh social that you can't.
do, which is uh basically delete a. tweet. >> Yeah. >> Yeah, you it's. >> The biggest tweet of the year. >> Everything's screenshotted. It is a. digital kind of social showcase. And it. was just a lot of things that went wrong. for the Colts last year. Okay, they. stumbled out the gate. They obviously. they allude to it right there. immediately at the beginning. We went. out there and not even Tyreek There was. multiple things wrong with last year. Okay, I think there was like some some. other type of infringement rights that. happened. They kind of reshake up their. digital department over there. They. start focusing.
They go to The Simpsons and ask for. clearance for the Sims. Hit all the greatest scenes that Homer. is in. >> Yeah. >> Okay? Cuz I do believe I don't know how. the licensing would go. I don't think. everybody is licensable. You know, I. think there is like different deals that. are to be had. So, them reaching out to. The Simpsons, getting it done, getting. Homer, and announcing the schedule after. what happened last year, bravo to the. team over there. >> Bravo. Well done. >> Bravo to the team over there. That was a. big deal for the Colts. That was a big. deal for me to see. It's like, "Hey, last year I had to kind of just sit and.
you guys embarrassing all of us on the. internet as internet people. We were. very lucky to be streamed on television. We thank you all so much. But this is. internet thing, actually internet. thing." And now that Colts deliver. pumped for them. I saw some explosives. in Carolina. I saw the Jaguars Are they. working us? >> Uh I think so. >> The Jags are working us right now, I. think. >> I hope so for Trevor's sake. >> I think the Jags are working us. I like. the haircut idea. I like him committing. to the Jags this much. >> Mhm. >> Okay, this is a franchise quarterback. saying, "I'll do that for you guys.". That's a huge deal. Obviously him.
cutting what he is kind of known for, cutting his hair. For this to be end up. being a haircut, got to be a wig, okay? We know it has to be a wig. There's no. way in 2026. uh that this is what we got. Maybe it is. though. I'm not 100% sure. Trevor, you. do whatever you want to do with your. hair, but it feels like this we're in. the middle of a work right now. Feels. like we're in the middle of a work right. now, and uh I'm excited to see what. Trevor looks like week one for the. Jacksonville Jaguars. That's all I'm. saying. >> Yeah, and there's been some cool like. mock-ups of what he'd look like with a. cool fade. I I know that Trevor Lawrence.
didn't do this, okay? I'm not doing the. whole. >> this is AI. >> I'm not No, I don't think it's AI. I. think it's it's incredible. what's his name Khan and AEW work. I. think that they brought in some sort of. wrestling gimmicks, some sort of makeup, hair, the whole entire the whole kitten. caboodle and they AEW'd his ass. And I. ain't going to fall for it. I'm not. going to be a Jaguars mark in a good way. or in a way that I'm going to say oh. that's. >> You think they're potentially trying to. work you into saying that to haircut's. ugly? >> trying I think they're trying to get me.
to be like woah Trevor Lawrence do this. just for THE SCHEDULE. HE HAD SUCH COOL. HAIR. I CAN'T BELIEVE HE CUT HIS COOL. LONG HAIR. WHY DID HE DO THAT? I'M NOT. DOING IT. AND I know I zoomed in. I took. a screenshot while they're going around. his head and I zoomed in and I put an. arrow next to it and I said nope. I can. see the little glue. I can see the stuff. the Hollywood magic that they do. He. probably still has long hair and if he. doesn't have long hair anymore. then he's a fool and I don't BELIEVE IN.
THE JAGS THIS YEAR. >> YOU DON'T THINK IF THERE WAS MULTIPLE. layers that they glued on? >> If he cut his hair to do that for the. schedule, Jags might win four games. I I. I'M READY TO GUARANTEE THE I'M READY TO. GUARANTEE THE Patriots winning in. Jacksonville week three if he actually. cut his hair for that schedule release, but I don't think he did. I think he. knows what he's doing. I think Liam. Cohen knows what he's doing and that was. just a great gimmick for their release. video. >> Okay. I don't I don't I'm not doing all that. I I thought maybe a new haircut was to. be revealed. I thought they were trying.
to get you and others that are. reactionary to maybe bury the haircut. that he ended up going with. So then. they can do a bigger reveal about you. idiot. >> Idiot. Look at this we cut up all the. people reacting to Trevor Lawrence's. haircut. Shut up. No you didn't. >> You don't think they're going to take. you? You're getting a little bit worked. up right. >> But I BUT I. I'M I'M I'm I'm turning this work into a. shoot brother. I'm working their work. though. It's a little different. I'm. working their work into a work. >> They're going to get. >> Turning this work into do brother.
>> Yeah you certainly are, brother. I'm not getting into it. >> They're they're pissed right now. They're like, damn it, he he got us. >> All right, joining us now, ladies and. gentlemen, away from the schedule. release. Congrats to all the social. teams. We just want to highlight a few. And to be clear, I thought I like the. Vikings one. Um I like the um. >> The Rams you guys did it. >> The Rams one with the the hand the hands. thing. There was a lot of them. >> Vikings. >> A lot of them were really long. >> I like the Nando one. I like Nando and. Kirk Cousins. >> Yep. >> I I like that.
>> The Billy Gardell did crush it. >> Titans walking up to people like, OH MY. GOSH, WOODY JOHNSON. >> YEAH, WE LIKE THAT one as well. I'm from. England, UK, mate. Jerry Jones, unbelievable stuff out of them. So, it. we couldn't also, a lot of them were. long this year. >> Yeah. >> A lot of like cinematic movie type. things. Same like 6 and 1/2 minutes. The. Steelers one I think was 4 minutes. >> Yeah. >> So, like it was it was hard to catch. every single one, but we respect and. appreciate all the hard work that went. in over it. >> Yeah. >> Congratulations. All right, let's move. on, ladies and gentlemen, to a Cy Young. winner. A man who's in the middle of a. season they're going to say is historic.
He could potentially be. first man ever to throw a baseball in. his first three seasons as an ace and. have under a 2.0 ERA. That is literally. how they track who's good and who's not. This guy might be the greatest of all. time when it's all said and done. Former Indianapolis Indian. Former LSU Tiger. >> Yep. >> Former Air Force Academy. >> Maybe flyer? I don't know. >> Jet? >> Falcon? >> Falcons.
>> Ladies and gentlemen, Paul Skenes. >> Yeah, Skenes. >> What's up, guys? >> Sick hair, see? Trevor couldn't have. done that with his hair. >> He don't he didn't do anything. >> What's that? Did you see what just. happened there with the whole Trevor. Lawrence thing? Do you have any. thoughts? Do you think Connor's getting. worked right now by Trevor? Do you think. he is actually a little bit worked up? Seems like he's a little emotional right. now. >> He seems a little emotional, yeah. >> Yeah, he's reading you now. >> That's because he's got good hair, look. If if if there's a video of Skenes. changing his hair to something poopy, like they did the Jacksonville Jaguars. did. I get worked up about that. Look at. his hair. It looks so.
>> False hair flowing out of his head. It's. phenomenal. >> When he's got the hat on it looks good. >> Anyway, and he wears that uh he wears. that like band that thick band band. thing so it sits over top like old. school when we used to wear the visors. >> I'm a hair official and I don't I don't. want people to ruin their good hair. >> Yeah, well, sue me. >> He didn't ruin it. Maybe he thinks that. looks good. >> There's no. >> No way he would think that looks good. All right. All right. Let's move on. >> I'm going to stay out of this one. >> Yeah, smart Paul. Smart. That's a good. idea. You just worry about pitching cuz. that's what you do. Uh let's talk about. you pitching. Brother, we appreciate you. joining us. You're in the middle of. absolutely dialing it up. Uh you're.
obviously raising money this year as. well and we're riding alongside. I don't. know if you've been keeping track of. your strikeouts, but we looked into it. You're currently at I think 56. Is that. accurate? >> Yeah, it sounds about right. >> Okay, so with my $500 donation, your. $500 donation, that's $56,000 already to. the Gary Sinise Foundation. Great way to go. And we're very early in. the season. I think we got 150 some. games left. You guys play that long ass. season. Can you tell me about this. successful start though with the.
strikeouts, with the pitching? Was it. fresh out of the World Baseball Classic? You just felt like mid midseason form? Why do you think you've started so well. and how do you feel whenever you're up. there every night? >> Yeah, I mean feels good. Um got, you. know, everybody bought in on on the same. thing right now. So it's been a fun ride. so far and. you know, we're only in May. So really, really excited to see where we're where. we're going to go this year. >> Okay, do you get better as a pitcher as. the year goes on? Uh is that one of. those things where you get like. midseason form? Have you got to.
midseason form already or do you just. have to play at the same level all. season including into the post season? >> Yeah, I think we're getting to midseason. form. I think May is kind of when it, you know, all starts to click for me a. little bit uh in the past couple years. So. I think everybody's a little bit. different. Um I mean you you get feel of. pitches, you lose feel of pitches as as. the season goes on. So, you know, stuff. that's working right now probably. in all likelihood isn't going to be. working in. you know, in a month or two. Um.
but, you know, we'll figure it out and. and go from there. So, we'll see. >> What is it? Your body just decides that. a new pitch is going to be your favorite. pitch at the time? And I will only say. this as a person that was a punter, so I. had to have a drop and then a a kick. every time I was out there. I'd be like. changing my [ __ ] day of game cuz it just. felt better and then I would have. success and it's like, all right, [ __ ]. I'm just going to do that. You know, it's just like that's what I'm going to. go with. Is it day to day with what. feels good coming out? And what is it? Grip? Thing How do you kind of know. which one is the When's the right time.
for which pitch? How do you know? >> Yeah, I thought I think it's all that. Um there there are times where I'll be, you know, throwing a pitch and it feels. terrible in. in, you know, bullpen and catch play um. for the whole week leading into my start. and then the day of my start it's just. coming out of my hand nice and. feels good. So, I think everybody's like. that a little bit. You know, stuff. changes day to day, week to week, month. to month. So, who knows? Who knows where it's going to. be in, you know, in a month. >> How good does that feel? After you do.
that base or that backpack thing and you. do the the all the others things Yeah, and then you get up on that mound for. Skeen's bump day and all of a sudden the. pitch that just has not been acting. properly the last couple days comes out. and it's like, "Ooh, nice to see you here tonight." Okay, so, does that mean that your Ponche pitch, you know what that means obviously. You. know what Ponche pitch means? >> Yep, Ponche pitch. Yep. >> You understand what that I I know. baseball. >> Bad mems. >> Yeah, you you know ball. You know ball, we know that. >> Thank you. Ponche obviously one of the.
greatest things I've ever experienced in. a baseball game other than catching a. uh foul ball with a fishing net at PNC. Park back in the. >> Well done. >> But your Ponche pitch, do the batters. know what it's going to be? Or how how. much research do they have on you? And. do you know what your Ponche pitch is. going to be each game you're going into? >> Yeah, to be honest a lot of the time I. don't know what it's going to be. Uh, which you know, that's what makes it. fun. Um, you know, if you're. A lot of guys go out there and they have. the same, you know, two punchy pitches.
and. >> Nice. Nice. We're starting it. We're. starting it. Yes. Yes. We're starting. it. We're keeping it going. Yeah. >> Okay, thank you. Cone. Yeah. All right, go ahead. >> Yeah, I think with with me a lot of the. time I don't know what it's going to be. So, I just, you know, start. just throwing pitches until it feels. good and then, you know, go from there. >> Who's calling the pitches? Catcher? >> Yeah, catcher. I'm uh. I don't shake a ton. I'm I'm, you know, I'm too stupid to call my own pitches. So, I just let him I I let him do it. He's got my career in his hands every. every fifth day.
>> Good luck out there, big dog. >> Yeah, don't screw it up. >> Good luck out there, Hank. So, he's the. one calling it or are they calling in to. him? Like who is the one deciding what. pitch is coming when? >> Yeah, it's all him. The some some teams. are doing the, you know, from the dugout. stuff and. um, but we we do it where where Henry. calls the game and Joey and and Andy and. our other catchers, they'll call the. game for themselves. >> Do they all have different strategies? Like do you appreciate the way he. approaches the game with how he calls. it? Does he ask for your influence uh, day to day like when you're pitching? Like, "Hey, what do you like today? What.
do you not like?" Like how is that. conversation going? >> Yeah, I think a lot of the time it's, you know, not even a conversation just. cuz we see how it's going in the. bullpen. We see how it is between. innings. uh, during the game. You know, sometimes. a pitch just sucks. So, we just stop. calling it. Um, nothing really needs to be said then. So, uh, but there there's a lot of. communication that goes into it. >> We like the change up this year, huh? >> Yeah, I I think it's I think it's pretty. good. >> Devastating. >> Did you work on it this What was the I. think you said you were working on a. pitch. I don't remember if it was the. change-up or not. Is this what you were.
working on this off season? >> Yeah, I've I've pretty much gone uh, with the same repertoire as last year. So, the change-up, I mean, we're, you. know, constantly working on all the. pitches. Um, I might have made some some changes to. the changeup or my sinker or something. else. I think a lot of the time it's. like kind of subconscious for me uh. where I make changes to the pitch and. then either it gets better or worse and. then, you know, we either have to fix it. or keep riding with it, but uh I think. the changeup I've been I've been riding. with for,
you know, probably 5 or 6 years now. >> I should have known that, obviously. And that's what that that is uh I should. have known that, obviously. That is a it. looks like fastball coming right down. and then it just hits a brakes basically. on me or what happens? >> Yeah, ideally it looks like ideally. everything looks like the fastball and. then it, you know, moves different or. hits the brakes or something like that. The changeup's just, you know, slower. and it moves a little bit more. down and arm side, so. um.
yeah, sometimes it gets swing and miss, sometimes it doesn't. >> Are we nibbling on the edges all the. time, right? That's the changeup right. there? >> That's the changeup, yeah. >> Jesus. I would have [ __ ] take that. yard. I mean, no no doubt about it. I've. been playing Thunder Ball in here, Paul. Okay, I've been looking at whiffle balls. coming at me. Okay, uh. >> Whiffle Whiffle balls are tough. Whiffle. Whiffle balls move more than baseballs. >> Yeah, right. I've seen you this year. I've seen some Shohei [ __ ] Have you. been seeing him pitch this year? Do you. watch other pitchers? How do you kind of. feel about the state of pitching in.
baseball right now? >> Uh I would say I mean, pitching is. probably as good as it's ever been and. it'll probably. only continue to get better. Um I think pitching evolves very. quickly. Yeah, Shohei's. um he makes me really glad I'm not a. hitter anymore. I don't want to face. guys like him. >> He's kind of struggling with it, I. guess, they're saying. I'm not saying. this. They are saying that they now that. he is full-time pitcher, the hitting is. not as what he was like MVP hitter or. whatever prolific prolific hitter as it.
was last year. They're saying it was a. balance. You, former catcher, obviously. hit and also pitcher, the the thought of. him being able to accomplish like Travis. Hunter when Travis Hunter came into the. NFL, we were all pulling for him. Like. we were all like hoping that he would be. able to accomplish something that. nobody's ever been able to do. But. whenever you would ask guys that were. potentially in those positions, they'd. be like, it's going to be really hard. That that is that is going to be a very. very hard thing at the professional. level on his body, on his mind, on. everything. For you with pitching, the. the breaks in between, it's an all.
encompassing we're working on becoming. better pitcher at all times. And at one. point your life did you want to hit and. pitch? >> I want I wanted to hit and pitch for. most of my life and then when I was at. LSU, I was I was hitting and pitching. and had a pretty good fall and then they. just stopped putting me in in BP groups. Um. I I found out after the fact that our. pitching coach told all our pitchers. that they couldn't throw inside on me, so I guess that's why. That's probably one of the reasons I had. a good fall. Um but yeah, they just stopped putting.
me in BP groups and. there was no conversation. They just. said it was just, you know, hey, you're. not pitching anymore, but but no words. were said. I think it was just an. understanding that that we came to, so. My body feels a lot better when I'm just. pitching. >> And uh during your days break your. five-day break, I think I saw you do an. interview with uh Scobel where it's like. day one recovery with Jet Passan I think. his sources. >> Yeah. >> Super sources or something like that. >> sources with. >> Super sources with Jet Passan. Let it up. to Jet of sources. >> Sources tell Jet Passan. >> So yeah, so you.
I think that is the actual name. >> actually what it is. It's Jet Passan. >> Okay. But you're on there talking about. the recovery days like first day. recovery, second day we start doing. this, third day we start doing that. That feels like a very regimented thing. Is have you always been like this? You. developing this? Is this now that you're. an old man you have one of these? Like. how how how do you think that kind of. has evolved or where it's going to now? >> Yeah, it's evolved. Uh I think every. I've always been very, you know, routine. oriented, so right or wrong I was doing.
the same thing going into every start, every game. Um and so I think just as as I've gone. on in baseball, I've learned more about. my body, so I know what works, what. doesn't work. Uh. but it's the same thing every every 5. days, every 6 days. It's It's. incredibly boring. Um. but you got to do what you got to do to. show up and be ready to to pitch. >> Yeah, be the face of a franchise. Yeah, I appreciate the fact that you're very. boring. We asked you one time, what do. you do for a hobby? You say, I nap.
>> Yeah. >> And then I wake up and. >> a little bit. >> Okay. >> Yeah, I do baseball. >> With Jared, who we back soon. >> We we just we nap and just just do. baseball. >> You're the man for that. And we are. lucky you are in Pittsburgh. On that. note, Pirates seemingly a little bit. different this year than I don't know, the last 30 years. Go ahead, Tone. >> Yeah, Paul, you just got your sixth win. of the season on May 12th. Last season. it didn't come until July 27th. And that. was not your fault. You've had a 1.96.
basically for your entire career. >> Thank you. >> That's because. it's awesome. You're getting run. support. So how how fun is it now to to. get that run support? It feels like. everyone's hitting. Everyone they. brought in is hitting. Liover Peguero, O'Neil Cruz is having an unbelievable. season. Connor Griffin, since he's. turned 20, he's been insane. How cool is. it now to to have the run support also. with your starts? >> Yeah, it's been great. Um. it's a it's a really fun group to be. around. Um you know, the last couple. starts uh I got I got a lot of run.
support my first few starts and we won a. couple of of them and the last couple. starts we scored I think the first. inning and two starts ago we won 1-0 and. >> Yeah. >> uh the last start was 3-0. So we're. scoring early, which which makes it easy. to pitch. Um. which is nice. And then, you know, all. you got to do is win by one. So we're. we're we're doing a good job, you know, scoring more runs than the other team. That's you know, kind of what. what the whole game's about, so. um. >> Yeah, I guess so.
>> Yeah, it's it's just fun. >> I appreciate that you say uh in your. mindset is, "We only need one more run. That's all we need. Just one run." And. uh expect yourself to be perfect, which. I appreciate. You got some young studs. on that team. Tell me about the. 19-year-old Connor Griffin. I I know you. guys had a birthday party. >> 20 now. He's 20. Yeah, he's he's a. changed man. He's all grown up now. >> They got him a bounce house. >> Yeah, oh yeah, I remember that. I. thought he turned 19. No, he turned 20. actually, which sounds a little bit more. like understandable. 19 in the bigs felt.
outrageous. Just it did feel a little. bit outrageous to me as a non-super. baseball person. Just like, "Wow, I. didn't know you could do that at such a. young age." He seems like a 90-year-old. man though, the way he talks and. everything. Can you describe him. and why he's seemingly the right one to. be a 19-year-old Major League Baseball. player? >> Well, I mean, you said it. He sounds. like a 90-year-old man. Um I wouldn't I. wouldn't. I wouldn't go that far, but he's. definitely mature. Um. he's been mature ever since he was 19,
too, so. um yeah, I think, you know, he he. like everybody, you go through some. growing pains when you get into the big. leagues, whatever that looks like, and. um so, I think he's learned a lot. He. you know, it's it feels like. he's I mean, he's been he was up for. uh he came up after our sixth game, I. think. So, he's been up pretty much all. year, but. um feels like he's been around the. league for, you know, much longer than. that. And uh. obviously, he's doing well.
playing well. Um. great guy to have behind you. defensively. Great guy to have in the. in the in the lineup, in the clubhouse. He He's He's one of the guys. >> Can't wait to see what you guys do for. his 21st birthday. This is for his 20th. birthday. Yeah, it should be a good. time, middle of the season, obviously. Get a chance to. >> Is that still in the clubhouse or. >> Yeah, where do we keep that at? With all. the cones that we steal? >> No. Yeah, I think uh I think we blew it. up. It was our It was our groundskeeper. who did it. So, I think they blew it up. in his office. Um. so, he might he might still have a.
bounce house just, you know, in his. office somewhere. >> Good for the lads. Is that a hoop right. above it, too? >> Oh, yeah. We We got a a little mini hoop. in there. Um that thing gets used pretty. frequently in rain delays, which we have. a lot of. Uh. >> Who's the best shot? >> Pittsburgh. >> Man, uh Carmen Mlodzinski's pretty good. Mitch Keller. Uh it's mostly. as far as I know, it's mostly the. pitchers. that are that are taking shots. I think. the hitters, uh cuz when we're in rain. delays, the pitchers don't have anything.
else to do. The hitters will go into the. into the cage. Uh Carmen's a he's good. at everything. And Mitch is good at. everything. I can make a, you know, a. a 3-ft bank shot with the best of them, but other than that, it's pretty tough. >> Yeah, small hoop, though. Bank shot's. difficult. That That is a That is a. tough shot. >> for saying that. Thank you for. >> Cuz I can I can hit I've been a part of. some mini hoops as well in my day in. equipment rooms and in locker rooms. I. can hit from further. It's tough for me. from close. With the little ball, for some reason, I.
can't. But, you give me back a little. bit, I can get you. You know, I'm not. never going to bank. That fucker's. coming way out if it if I can. Flatter. ball, maybe I'm in a better spot. So, I. think the touch you're showcasing is. good, but it sounds like these other. guys certainly embarrass you on a. regular basis. >> Uh yeah, I mean, I'm the type of guy in. the clubhouse that's like if I, you. know, I'm the guy that's like. you know, at recess and you know, you're you're whooping my butt in. basketball, I'm taking my ball and going. home or something like that. That That's.
kind of how I do it. So, usually when they're going, I'll let. the big boys play, but when it's me and. whoever else, I'll I'll I'll give them. the business a little bit, but usually I. don't I stay out of it. >> That's smart. You want to be court. >> Yeah. >> Yeah, there's no reason to walk over to. the A court. Yeah, that's why I don't. play video games. My brother was so. good, he beat my ass. I said, "I'm not. doing this." I'm not Yeah, same? Same. exact thing? >> Yeah. Yeah, I I I suck. It's It's not. enjoyable for me. It's not enjoyable for. anybody else, so. >> I watch you guys. I watch you guys do. it. Like I I when the Twitch thing.
started and everybody was watching video. game players, it made sense cuz I used. to have to watch my brother kind of have. to cuz the weather was terrible, but I. would watch and it was enjoyable. But it. when I was play I was ass. I was just. the worst video game player of all time. and they killed me. Why do I want to. feel like that every day? I don't want. to feel like that. I'm not doing this. >> Yeah. >> Yeah, I understand. >> Yeah, you're supposed to be having fun. Why do something you hate when you're. supposed to be having fun? It's the same. way with golf for me. >> You stink at golf? >> Yeah, golf sucks. >> I'm I'm terrible. >> I bet if they figured that out with you. You need to watch Kawashala. >> He's young. He's young. >> You need to watch Kawashala to get your.
hips tight. It feels like you should be. good at that. Most baseball players can. figure it out, can't they? I think. you'll be able to figure that out when. you. >> Most Most can, yeah. I haven't done it. yet. >> That's cuz you're. >> locked in. >> We're throwing that changeup six years. >> Yeah. >> You know what I mean? We We got to throw. that every single day so it continues to. get harder and harder. Let's talk about. some more high jinks that baseball has. Last question for you. Go ahead, Con. Man. >> Yes, you know, did Bubba Chandler. possibly beat your ass in that. basketball game cuz I saw there were. some sort of pranks going on. There was. some bubble gum on top of his head. I.
believe this was yesterday in one of. your victories. You guys a big prank. clubhouse? Is this something that, you. know, is is basically going on every. single day and this just feels like. immaculate vibes. It's incredible that. he didn't even realize it. >> Yeah, I had nothing to do with that. >> Sure. >> Other than Other than, you know, not. spoiling it, but nobody Everybody did a. great job. Nobody said anything to him. He was dancing there. The camera was. right on him. He just thought it was on. him just cuz he's a good dancer, which. obviously he's not, so.
Um yeah, that that I think that thing. was on there for like an hour. >> That's unbelievable. I and I appreciate. the fact that you all. are watching him look at cameras. thinking it's for him. I like that you. guys afterwards, you [ __ ] What did. you think you were just the star? You're. not in the game. You think that's Are we. still doing this? Feels like you guys. got a really tight team. If you do an. hour-long bubble gum on hat talking [ __ ]. the guy, you guys are still you get Is. Pittsburgh still all out of cones? >> we're still coning it. >> Are you guys still coning? Are we still.
welding masking? Are we doing it all? >> We're doing it all, yeah. We are not the. ones actually stealing the cones. I. think I think the fans are the culprits. there. Which, you know, love it. That's that's super funny. So, um not you know, not obviously not. condoning uh. >> No, of course not. But, we appreciate. buying in on the thing as a city coming. together and keeping everybody safe, too. They will only take cones that. they're allowed to take. As you know, Yankees. wouldn't do that, you know? That's type. of thing they would not do. They would. certainly get the right cone. But, we.
got any more or are we sticking with the. welders mask and the cone? >> No, that's it. We're riding with it for. the whole season. Maybe I'm sure there. will be more hygiene. I think Bubba will. be have you know, head on a swivel. checking taking his hat off and checking. it. You guys do you know, probably every. every inning now. So, we'll get him again at some point. >> that fire that was happening? One time. we had. >> Oh yeah, yeah. The. the hot match on the back of. >> hot feet hot. >> Oh yeah, yeah. We haven't done that yet. I don't know I don't know if we will.
That's that's a that's a little old. school. That was before my time and. probably everybody else in here. But, hey who knows? Who knows? It's a long. season. >> Bring it back. >> I love it these are just known things. Hey, when you're on the road a lot, >> Yeah. >> we got a lot. We got a lot of we got to. kill time here. Okay? So, we're putting. [ __ ] on people's cleats and lighting it. on fire, I do believe. >> Mhm. >> And then it just burns up and he smells. fire. It's he's on fire in the. clubhouse. You baseball people are. awesome. Paul, good luck the rest of the. way. We appreciate the hell out of you. Let's keep ponchaying people, huh?
>> I like that idea. Let's do it. >> Tell. Tell Harry Davis we need a good ponchay. and good good Poncey celebration as. we're going out there, brother. You got. it? >> Yes, sir. >> And I didn't get any help out of you. I. found my slot right here. Do I need to. be Do I need to be point whiffle ball? This is for with a whiffle ball. I don't. think I'm supposed to throw here. I. think I'm supposed to go right here. When am I letting go of that ball, Paul? When it When am I letting go of that. ball? When do I? >> Uh maybe like even with your head. I.
mean, just keep throwing it. You'll. figure it out. That's. That's it. >> Exactly. >> You just got to practice. >> You're the man. Okay. I don't have the. time, so maybe one day we'll be able to. figure it out. I need an instant fix. I. need a silver bullet. I I I need magic. bullet and a silver bullet. I'll take. whatever afterwards. But whatever the. case, I appreciate you. You're the man. Good luck the rest of the way. Ladies. and gentlemen, Paul Skenes. >> Yeah, beautiful. >> Listen, Skenes is the man. >> He's having a good He's having a good. time out there. He's smiling a lot.
>> Yeah, he's having a great time with the. boys. It. feels like, okay, and um. I don't want to say it's an exact. comparison, but kind of. I I mean, I. guess we can. When Wemby gets to the San. Antonio Spurs, he's young phenom. first overall pick guy. >> Mhm. >> Team already established basketball. players. Okay? This is still rook coming. into league. He's rookie on team, kind. of adjusting to them as opposed to team. adjusting to him.
Feels like Skenes, the way he was. talking this past off season, and the. way he was being treated at World. Baseball Classic by everybody saying, "Hey, that's our ace. That's our ace.". Feels like the Pittsburgh Pirates. organization is Paul Skenes'. organization, if that makes sense. It. feels like they are Hey, this is They. know. Everybody kind of knows. We bring. in the young buck. Welcome to Skenes'. team. Like, "Hey, there's probably other. guys that are a little bit more vocal. than Skenes cuz he's not talking." But. it feels like that team is maybe being. crafted for Skenes. And boy, they love. each other. >> Oh, yeah.
>> It looks. >> Looks have a great time on the road. >> Like when Paul came in and started uh. his rookie year, he was obviously the. youngest, but um like cuz it was a it. was an older room for the pitchers, and. now Paul's obviously still very, very. young, but as far as pitching goes, Mitch Keller's the only one who's old. They all everyone else kind of came up. together with Paul. So, they've been. together for like 3 years now. So, the. that's kind of why that that pitching. room that pitching staff is so tight now. and probably why he's so happy. >> Yeah, so happy. I'm so happy that the. young.
arms of baseball, him, Miz. I guess we. can count Shohei in this thing cuz he's. probably just getting started in this. thing. >> Cal Quantrill of the Yankees, he's. killing it. >> Yeah, and we got big bats, too, still. happening. It sounds like an old guard. of bats taking on like a young batch of. pitchers. It's a fun time for baseball, and we appreciate Paul's time. Let's. pivot away from baseball. Let's go to. the NHL. >> Hell yeah. >> Ladies and gentlemen, the man who's been. promoting hockey on ESPN for as long as. I can remember. I believe he's been at. ESPN since 1993.
>> Damn. >> I was 6 years old. >> Oh, yeah. >> Ladies and gentlemen, Steve Levy. >> Yeah, Steve. >> The last time I was on you guys, we were. still trying to find Winnipeg on the. map, okay? >> And we found it. >> No geography today. >> I think it's over here. I think it's. over here. I think it's over here. >> Are you looking at the map over. >> In my head. In my head. I think it's over here. And the map is. here.
Atlantic Ocean here, Pacific Ocean here. Maine's here. >> Yeah. >> Or is it here? I think Winnipeg is over. here. >> Yeah, I I thought that was Edmonton. I. thought Winnipeg was more like north. >> Edmonton, Winnipeg. >> SON OF A [ __ ]. >> THIS is unbelievable. This is. hysterical. >> It is above North Dakota. >> Seriously? >> Yeah, it's right in the middle. >> Yeah, but North Dakota is west. Edmonton's way up there. That's what. you're thinking. here, >> dude. [ __ ]. >> That's But But you see you had. everything. >> But I had it over here.
>> Yeah, but you were thinking Kyle you. were thinking Calgary. >> Sorry. >> You know where Denver is, right? We're. good on Denver. WE'RE WE'RE. >> OH, LOWER THAN you think though. It's. lower. >> East. >> The latitudes are lower than you think. whenever you you you talk about Denver. though. That is something that kind of. comes up. >> Yeah, whenever you you do the open map. Sorry, Canada. I know where Manitoba is. That's where. >> Sure. >> old buddy's boys are from. >> Yeah, Saskatoon. >> Yeah, Saskatoon. And obviously Victoria, beautiful. >> Nova Scotia. >> Toronto. And also we know where Montreal.
is. >> Yeah, we do. >> Hey, that barn obviously spectacular. That team getting incredibly hot. How. should we view kind of what's going on. over there in the East? Huge one in. Buffalo for Montreal last night. What. with the Canes waiting, how do you kind. of view the Eastern Conference right. now, Steve? >> So, this is the best series, boys. I I. think of the playoffs so far. Montreal. Tampa went seven in the first round, but. this Montreal Buffalo series has been on. fire. For me, it's the two best. atmospheres in the league going right.
now. I think just cuz the success they've. had, the runs they've been on, and the. and the lack of recent success really. both franchises have had. So, Montreal looks good. They they've bought. themselves some time here by by getting. their first line, their top guys going, even scoring at even strength. And. Dobish last night, who gives up three. goals on the first four shots, is. seconds from being pulled, doesn't give. up another goal the rest of the way, and.
now they get to go home. So, you know, Buffalo's been really good on the road. They've been awful at home in the. playoffs for some reason. They haven't. figured that piece out. But Montreal looks dangerous right now, guys. >> Tell me about the Canes over there in. the East. What have you seen from them? Obviously still undefeated. Sweep sweep. Rest or rust? The Caniacs ready to go? How do you feel about their chances not. only for the East, but obviously for the. Cup as a whole with what's lurking in. the West? >> Juggernaut. And uh listen, it speaks to. the value of the regular season, right?
Like Colorado and Carolina were the two. best teams in their respective. conferences and and so that's that's. holding true here in the playoffs as. well. And we've never seen a team sweep. uh two seven games best of seven series. in the first two rounds. That's never. happened. And um look, they're going to. have 10 days off, guys. So, everybody's. going to be healthy. And uh coming out. of the first sweep, we had the same. conversation. Hey, too much rest. Well, they went out and they they shut out. Philadelphia in game one of the second. series. So, Rod Brind'Amour is an.
unbelievable head coach. He'll have them. ready to go. But, the biggest thing for. me in Carolina is while all these other. teams are flip-flopping goalies, Frederik Andersen is the man. And when. he's healthy, he's been on and he looks. razor-sharp right now. Carolina looks. like a beast in the East. >> If you have a goalie that'll stand on. its head, you can win a Cup anytime. >> Yep. >> But then, if your goalie forgets how to. see a puck, you can lose anytime. I. mean, that is really how easy it is in. the playoffs. As a Pittsburgh Penguins.
fan, I've got a chance to ride the back. of a hot goalie and then I've watched a. goalie forget how to play goalie in the. playoffs and we're out quickly when we. weren't supposed to be. Most important. position, I think, by far. Carolina has. been obviously. seeing everything. What, two goals or. something like that? I forget what the. run was. >> It was something absurd. >> They didn't give up more than two goals. maybe in like the first seven or eight. games out of the playoffs. It's like, "Yeah, right." Cuz that's even empty. nets at the end like kind of sneaking I. mean, it is a uh it's been a wild run. for them, but. >> Pat wait wait Pat, I want you to finish.
that sentence. You said goalie's the. most important position in hockey or all. of sports? Because you could make the. argument that a hot goalie could be the. difference. Like the starting pitcher in. baseball, but he only goes once every. five days. You could make in the. playoffs the argument that the most. important player in all of sports is the. hot goalie in the in Stanley Cup. >> I'll tell you what, Steve Levy, I don't. mind the take coming in. >> Except for. except for one position. >> Yeah, quarterback in the NFL.
>> Quarterback comes off the field though. I mean, I do kind of like what Steve's. saying. Like you're you got a guy that. is on the ice for 60 minutes. You can. literally not affect the game more than. any other position. >> And on that note, we and I hate to say. this cuz you're incredibly handsome and. I love Italian people. >> Uh-huh. >> We saw Jimmy Garoppolo, what he do? Six. pass attempts in the championship game. >> Sure. Sure. Sure. Sure. >> So, I guess if quarterback did forget. how to take center quarterback exchange, but didn't win the Super Bowl though. >> I mean, we saw we just saw it in the.
Super Bowl. The Super Bowl MVP was. running back. The their quarterback, they didn't actually throw for any. touchdowns. Like. >> Well, is the goalie the most. >> just won a game seven with six shots. Well, actually that maybe that makes. Steve's point actually. >> Yeah, exactly. Dobesh kind of won them. the game. >> Yep. You can you can make up for a lot. of problems. >> How about won us the gold medal for. sure. >> you can go back to the old Avalanche, Patrick Roy. I mean, he damn near won. them the cup. >> not his name. That's that what you just. said is not how. >> I mean,
some people Patrick Roy say it. >> Some people say it. >> Some dialects say it. >> Roy? >> Yeah, Roy. >> You can be you can you can be out shot. by 30 and still win the game. Like you. could be totally dominated and if you. got your goalie's hot that night, you. can win. And it's so that speaks to the. position. >> And to your point about Jimmy G, you can. have a quarterback who throws for 55. yards, but you can still win. >> Let's let the let the internet figure it. out. Let the internet figure that one out. Steve, I like where you're at. I don't. know how long you've thought about that, if that just came to your mind now, but.
I appreciate it. Yeah, it's going to. change it's going to change the way I. view everything. Okay, so let's go to. the west talking about hot goalies. Let's talk about teams. This Avalanche. team, they were going to seemingly be a. a that swept through the west as. Carolina swept through the East and we. got a kind of a collision course of. these two Goliaths in the Stanley Cup. This Avalanche team, there's a stat that. we got from Hembo yesterday, score. differential per period. First period. minus two, second period plus two, third. period plus 12. Obviously, that's. insanely clutch. There's some empty. netters in there obviously cuz other.
teams are desperate against them, so you. can obviously count that. But it feels. like they're in better shape than you, they have more talent than you. I. understand the Minnesota Wild got a win. over them and Quinn Hughes is certainly. something special, but this Colorado. team feels like a juggernaut. How should. I be talking about them in a historical. sense? And then what does it look like. with the Canes if they end up getting. there? >> All right, so let's let's stay with the. hot goalie. Colorado doesn't have that. They go back and forth seemingly every. other game, Wedgewood and Blackwood. And. you know, the 10-year-old in me loves. when the ball arena crowd starts.
chanting Wedgie, Wedgie. I feel like an. infant and everything, but uh they they. might have to go back to him. So that. they're they're waffling back and forth. One guy gets hot, then he gets cold, then the next guy comes in. So they've. got some decisions to make there. But that shot right there, bud, that. that MacKinnon, that Nate Dogg shot, that's one of the sickest shots in. hockey all time. And if the Avs go on to. win the Cup, I think we remember that. Uh Colorado, you want a stat? I'll give. you the stat on Colorado. They had 16. different goal scorers in this series,
guys, in a series that went five games. That's never happened. That that is your. depth scoring, okay? >> And that might be why the third. >> 16 guys. >> And that might be why the third period. is what it is. If you got more dudes, obviously you can maybe last longer and. they've certainly showcased that. Need a. hot goalie though, which goes back to. your point. This might be the best team. 16 guys are able to score, but if their. goalie can't get it done, they will. lose. Let's go to the other team that. punched their ticket to take on the Avs. Go ahead, Con man.
>> Yeah, Steve, I don't know if they have. 16 guys scoring, but I mean what Mitch. Marner's doing in Vegas has been. unbelievable, but I wanted to ask you, I. mean first of all yeah, we're talking. about goals of the playoffs. This is. right up there. Yeah. >> You guys are so good. That's the one I. was going to talk about. That's the. sickest goal of the postseason. >> Right. And and let's keep in mind let's. not forget what Kirby Doc did, but yeah, this was a ridiculous. goal and I think there's been a couple. others. I think Dorofeyev is leading the. way actually in the playoffs now with. nine goals, but I wanted to ask you.
about after the game. Tortorella there. was a report Tortorella didn't go to. talk to the media. I think they sent one. guy out there. Everybody else they kept. the doors closed, kind of kept the. change room to themselves. Is that. something that kind of just shows you. hey this team is extremely tight. They. are bunker mentality. Screw what. everybody's talking about. I know with. Marner his big thing when he was in. Toronto is that he didn't show up in the. playoffs. Now he's showing up damn near. more than anybody. What does that tell you when the head. coach after a victory after going to the.
Western Conference finals doesn't want. to talk to the media? Are you thinking. the Golden Knights are kind of a sleeper. team here? Granted they're one of the. last four teams, but do you see them. giving Colorado a run for their money? >> I do. They've got experience and listen. Tortorella is going to do what he wants. to do. Now he was very media friendly. and media savvy when he was sitting next. to me back in December by the way. It. wasn't that long ago he's on ESPN. And. so he shuts the room. It was actually. pretty funny. Mitch Marner comes in the.
postgame presser. He's one of the two. players they made available and he said. look guys we got 10 minutes cuz. Tortorella is going to leave with us. without us on the bus. One of the excuses out there and I'm not. going to I'm not going to say this is. true. There is a noise ordinance flying. out of John Wayne in Anaheim. You guys. know that airport out there that they. got to get out of there in a hurry or. else they shut down that airport to get. back home to Vegas. If you're buying. that, probably not. Tortorella is not going to care. I'll.
tell you what the the organization if. they get fined by the league and all. that stuff for not meeting, you know, media responsibilities, uh they'll deal with the fine. They'll. take that and go home and and get ready. for the next round. But, they have the. hot goalie. They've got Carter Hart. It's an amazing. story. But, this team wins the division. and they were very close to missing out. on the playoffs the last week. Tortz. comes in with eight games left. Who. changes a head coach with eight games. left in the regular season? Carter Hart.
comes in, saves the day as well in goal. for them. Uh Marner's doing what he's. doing. I got caught up in the crosshairs. in the Toronto media last week and, you. know, it's Toronto's very sensitive. about how Marner played up there in big. games and what he's doing now for Vegas. Uh their own Jack Eichel is a classy, elegant scorer. And I can't stop. watching this goal, man. He's doing that. in the crease with his back to the net, that Marner goal. So, >> Yeah, and it's not just his filthy goal, which is absolutely disgusting. Look,
the goalie thinks he's going the other. way, dives his ass that way. He's still. looking that way. He has no idea where. where that thing goes and he's within a. foot of it and he's an NHL goalie. It's. in the deep in the playoffs or whatever. the case is. His assist is nasty, too. Sets it up for a shot. Goalie thinks. it's a shot, ices him. Goalie's dead, see you. Wide open net. I mean, that was. just one a night for Mitch Marner. >> No Mark Stone. They're without their. captain. No Mark Stone the last couple. games. We don't know about him. Brayden. McNabb, one of their top two defensemen, suspended for last night's game. They. still win. Like, there's some magic.
going on with this Vegas squad. And if. Colorado doesn't take them seriously. based on their President's Trophy and. great regular season, look out. So, this. screams seven-game series. I'm really. glad we got the Western Conference Final. this year. >> Yeah, hey man, can't wait to see how it. all wraps up. We appreciate your uh. commitment to sport as a whole, but. definitely hockey. It's been fun riding. alongside you, Moose, and PK, and all. the boys out there. >> Appreciate you. Thanks for being great. for the sport, too, Pat. >> Hey, we're trying, man. We love it. You. obviously been pushing it for a long,
long time over there, and I'm happy to. see your numbers up into the right, Steve. >> Yep, ratings good, and the goalie, most. important position in all of sports, Pat. >> You're the man, ladies. >> Take that with you. >> What's that? >> I I believe he was just inducted into. one of the Hall of Fames, as well. Steve. was, yeah. >> What? >> I was just over at the New York Rangers. >> Which Hall of Fame? >> Which one? >> It's New York State Hockey Hall of Fame. It's a small group, but small but. important. Yeah, small but important. >> YEAH, OF COURSE. CONGRATULATIONS, HALL. OF FAMER.
THANKS, GENTLEMEN, HALL OF FAMER, Steve. Levy. >> Congratulations. That's awesome. >> Yeah. >> Good for him. Steve's always been just. like such a cool, funny guy. >> Oh, yeah. >> All forever. >> We ran into him one night, and I think. he was just trying to get to bed. Do you remember that? I was like, "Steve, what's up, man?" Just head down. What's up? Just head down. Straight into the thing. I'm like, "Steve, good to see you, dude. You look. awesome." "Thank you.". >> You, too. >> Airpods like baby Airpods and. sunglasses. I'll just walk down. I'm. like, "Damn, we just missed out on a. Steve Levy convo. He's the man." We.
appreciate the hell out of him. Hockey's. great sports. They're incredible. We'll. continue on the other side.
>> Who's the skinny guy?
>> Come back here, you little raven. >> barbecue. >> I went bust after the cows started. giving sour milk. Something must have spooked them good. >> Yes, YOU'LL BE CUT.
>> WHAT? WE HAVE TO EXCHANGE INSURANCE. >> It sure was nice of Mr. Burns to invite. us for a midnight dinner at his country. house in. Pennsylvania.
>> THE BULL IS CRYING. It works AT SO MANY LEVELS. >> NIGHTY NIGHT. >> PROMISE NOT TO LAUGH? I always wanted to own the Dallas.
Cowboys. >> Come on, lads. LET'S DRIVE THEM BACK TO. THE OCEAN. >> SON, I REPRESENT A group of oil tycoons. who make foolish purchases. >> New York is a hellhole, and you know how. I feel about hellholes? Yep, bye-bye belt.
>> The following program is a collection of. students talking about happenings in the. sports world. It is meant to be comedic. and informative. The opinions expressed. on this show do not necessarily reflect. the beliefs of their peers, their boss, or ESPN. There may be some cuss words. because that's how humans in the real. world talk. If you are a young, please. seek permission before watching any.
further. >> Hey. >> Why? >> Let's. go. >> This show stinks, and the fact that you. listen, we are very, very thankful for. >> Mack could be. on the line with a gorgeous assist. >> The all-time leading tackler for the. Green Bay Packers. >> YOU PAY. >> DAMN IT. >> YOUR FRIEND TELL A FRIEND SOMETHING NICE. could change their life.
>> Hello, beautiful people, and welcome to. our humble abode. >> The Thunderdome. >> On this feel-good Friday, May 15th, 2026, our tour of the sports program. begins now. >> Sport. >> Our fantastic, we're so incredibly lucky. that we're wrapping up another work. week. Work week. of talking about sports and enjoying the. sports world. We're so incredibly lucky. that we get to do it. This weekend's. about to be the best weekend of all time.
cuz this is the next weekend that we all. have, and we'll be back on Monday ready. to overreact to it all. The toxic table. is here at Boston Connor, and one half. of the hammer, Todd Cowboys AP Tone. Boys, good to see you. Con man, how's it. been with Tone next to you here as Ty. celebrates new life? >> It's been very, very nice. I I'll be. honest, Tony has has done incredibly. well to bring toxicity, you know, and. it's funny he just shook my hand cuz I. still remember last Monday him going to. shake my hand and my first thought was. Tony would sit down and to add to.
toxicity. pull punches and immediately kind of get. me. >> Oh, you thought he was setting you up. >> Exactly. I actually went and sha- I I. stopped to not shake his hand and then. he actually said like, "Shake my hand.". >> I've always been under the. um assumption that this table was a. partnership and you have to be toxic. together. >> Yeah, you guys have You guys have done a. great job. Thank you. >> That's part of it and it's It feels too. much sometimes. >> good. Like you sit down and it's like. you're wearing the Green Goblin mask and. you just have to start saying things. >> Yeah, but you're not though cuz we can. see you cuz you did an entire take on.
these international games that I think. obviously Ty would have been proud of. but I don't think you're giving if. you're up on your high horse over here. at the toxic table. Right here, you. really felt the urge to kind of say, "What are we doing? Shrink the game. I'm. done with this." The Steelers in Paris. really kind of broke you. I think you. sent you full into character mode over. there. >> Yeah, you're 1,000% right and that was. actually pissed me off earlier today. when uh the primetime game uh schedule. graphic was up there cuz it was gimmick. games at the bottom and the. international games weren't on there and.
those are the most gimmick games you. could possibly have. >> Jeez, there's seemingly a lot louder. crowd of people against the. international games than I could have. fathomed. I like that we're taking the. game worldwide. I appreciate that our. sport's about to take over for being the. sport of the world but here in this. process of introducing it to other. countries, a lot of these fans, not just. Steelers fans, we've been we've been. learning on the internet, maybe they're. bots. >> Yeah. >> Maybe they're anti-international game. bots. >> Tony bots. >> You could certainly Tony bots right. here. >> love to buy some Tony bots and just.
>> I think they're getting rid of bots all. over the place currently but. as one bot dies. more. >> Good luck with that. >> more respond at all times on the. internet, but there's a lot of. anti-international games happening right. now, and you really felt the urge to. seemingly become the voice of that. Let's obviously now introduce a man. who's an international superstar. >> Yeah, he is. >> He college football national champion, Super Bowl champion, Ryder Cup winner, the pride of Germany, ladies and. gentlemen, A.J. Hawk. What's going on, brother? >> I'm from the USA, no question, Pat.
>> Well, I know, yeah. I was just saying. you you know international talking. >> Yeah, way back in the day. >> Yeah, that A.J., the Hawk family is of. German descent, obviously Ohio through. and through, which is the heart of. America, right, A.J.? Let's not get it. twisted. The international game response. obviously something that I don't think I. expected cuz I thought we were trying to. grow the game. I thought this was good. for the sport. I thought we were trying. to introduce a new sport to people that. like soccer and tell them like, "Hey, things are allowed to happen in a. physical way. Soccer's good. This is. great. Oh, remember what you did with.
basketball, how much you love. basketball? Let's do this again with. football." And then some teams just. aren't happy about it, okay? I think. that's going to continue to be a thing, and the NFL is going to continue to push. these things and go to more countries, and it's only a matter of time before. there's one every single weekend and. every single team has to do it. Now, other than that, what did you learn from. the schedule release last night, A.J., that maybe caught your eye? Packers in. some prime time moments for us. throughout this next NFL season. >> Yeah, Packers in some prime time. moments, I think that is a win. The one. thing that jumped out at me was the.
Raiders having zero prime time games. with number one overall pick, Fernando. going there, Tom Brady on the ownership. part of the team. Like, I was surprised. they didn't get at least one prime time. game. Now, I'm sure they're pretty. pissed. >> Yeah, projecting what team's going to be. good, what team's going to be ass is. what these schedule makers are trying to. do, so you can almost kind of get a. sense of how the NFL thinks you're going. to do whenever you see these schedules. get released. As an Indianapolis Colts. fan who's been on the zero list a couple. times, and our season has not ended up. with success or playoff runs, it is. almost like an indicator, but there's.
been a lot of teams that they've had to. flex into prime time as the season goes. on cuz they get hot. Hopefully the. Raiders are that team so we can see. Fernando do his thing late or Kirk. Cousins, whatever the deal, the step. brothers. Maybe the Dolphins. How about. the Titans? We think Saleh and Daboll. are just ass down there? Is that what. we're thinking down there? We don't. think they could potentially get hot. Cardinals lost the schedule release. completely. Everybody say they lost it. completely, but they could have a lot to. build on. And then the New York Jets. having no prime time game, being in the. New York area with how many people are. just naturally going to watch that game.
because they're from there, that's a. crazy decision. That's a big statement I. think from the NFL. Now, from the. current NFL to future NFL players. To dreams. coming true. To lives being changed. Every once in a while we're asked to be. a part of a monumental day for a young. freak football stud. Ladies and. gentlemen, it's time for us to be a part. of another commitment. Hey. Hey. Hey. Hey.
>> Hey. >> Say it AJ. It's a big day for some big. names.
We are honored that we get to be a part. of this and as the highlights continue. to grow on that particular video, we. welcome, ladies and gentlemen, the next. superstar. at potentially your university. Ladies. and gentlemen, 6'5", 230-lb.
tight end. >> Jeez. >> Out of Libertyville, Illinois. 2027 tight end, Brock Williams. >> Yeah, Brock. >> What's up, dude? Hold on, you're muted. Might be on our. side, might be on your side. Let's go. ahead and figure that out cuz you look. great, family looks wonderful. If you. guys We have no audio coming from you to. us. A A Wow, you look unbelievable. though. >> Jeez, yeah. >> Jeez, you look unbelievable right now. >> up. >> Brother, can you hear us? >> Frozen.
>> Thank you. >> There we go. There we go. There we go. We got sound. We got sound. Can you hear. us? >> Yeah, yeah. I hear you. I can hear you. >> Okay, good. I don't know if you heard. everything I said during the intro, but. the fact that you're 6'5", 230, and I've. heard you got multiple brothers, too. I. assume they're all gigantic human. beings. I cannot wait. >> Yeah, they're huge. >> MOM, SHOUT OUT MOM. HEY, GREAT JOB, MOM. DAD, GREAT JOB over there. Okay, legends, I I uh I appreciate it all. Okay, so so tell me a little bit about. the recruiting process for you.
Obviously, the tight end position for. what it has become, if you're big and. athletic in this style of football, you're going to be great. At what age. did you start getting college looks, and. how have you kind of developed over the. years, Brock? >> Yeah, so the recruiting process for me. has been crazy. Uh Um it really picked. up my sophomore year. Um and I was. playing receiver my freshman year. Um. and then sophomore year is really when I. started playing tight end. Like being. physical, so yeah, but the recruiting. process over the past few months has. been insane.
>> Yeah, we have uh some clips, not only of. you catching the rock, and they got you. split out as a tight end. And obviously, YOU DIDN'T BREAK A TACKLE 6'5", 230 in. this particular one, but also road. grading, folks. I mean, just absolutely. demolishing people at the line of. scrimmage. And uh is this a punt return? Is this a. Is this a kick return? You have been. Brock, YOU HAVE BEEN TERRORIZING. ILLINOIS. HOLY. >> YES, SIR. YES, SIR. >> Hell yeah. Okay. All right. All right. Let's get to it. Brock, I I I apologize. that we didn't all watch your entire.
highlight film. We only saw the four. first five plays. I thought we. understood who it was. Clearly, we have. to watch more. Brock, if you would like. to let the world know. where you will be playing football next. and where you'll continue your football. career. We'd be honored for you to do. that. And to the entire family, thank. you for letting us be a part of this. The floor is yours, Brock. >> Yes, sir. I want to thank everyone for. being here. I thank all the coaches. for putting me in this position. I want. to thank my family. I want to thank all the coaches that. believed in me and gave me the. opportunity, especially coach Key.
Um. >> Oh, no. Oh, no. >> Yeah, with that being said, really too. >> HOOK 'EM. HOOK 'EM. HELL YEAH. CONGRATULATIONS. Brock Williams commits to Texas. Sarkisian gets an absolute stallion of a. man out of Libertyville, Illinois.
Enjoyment has to be taking place over. there IN THE HEY, CONGRATULATIONS, BROCK. >> YEAH, BROCK. >> CONGRATULATIONS, BROCK. A. Hell yeah, let's go. Hook 'em, brother. What was it about Sarkisian and Austin. that made you want to go down there and. play with the Texas Longhorns next? Oh, no. >> We got We got cut off. That's Yeah, sorry, we got cut off. But. yeah, coach Sark's been showing me a. crazy amount of love.
Uh. almost every week. Um. >> All right, that's awesome. Like, you're. the best. Ladies and gentlemen, Brock. Williams. Have a good one. We don't need Hey, we don't need tech. problems ruining today. That was. incredible. He's a Texas. That whole I. believe I believe the whole gym was. packed. I wish we would have been able. to get to that. I'm so happy for him. How about Texas? >> I know. >> Yeah. >> I mean they're. >> I mean you better be ready to go to. class. No basket weaving out there, but. >> Yeah, absolutely. You have to go to. school. You lose 50% of your credits if. you were to transfer in there. Good.
thing he's starting there, okay? And. Sark will be able to take care of him. We apologize Brock for that type of. connection. Hopefully we'll be able to. get you back on maybe at a different. time on a FaceTime or whatever. Look at. this He's a monster of I mean he just. drove that guy 10 yards down down. directly down the line of scrimmage. Just caving in an entire end for the run. game. Then he have him flanked out wide. He breaks tackles. This guy seems like. an absolute superstar heading down to. Austin. And everybody kind of forgets. about Texas, you know? Everybody kind of. forgets about Texas because of how last. year went. Everybody kind of forgets. about what Arch Manning is kind of being.
projected to be. Uh. I think they're saying he cleared up a. little bit. Hey Brock, you there, pal? >> Yes, sir. Yes, sir, I'm here. >> Dude, I'm so happy that that place went. crazy and we lost a little connection. That's a good thing, not a bad thing. Okay, I love that the electricity was. crazy. Can you tell me a little bit. about Texas and how long have you been. thinking about going to Texas cuz we. were just chatting about it. Whenever. the recruiting gets talked about it's. always like who has the most, who has. the most. Texas obviously with Arch. going in the next year, a lot of high.
expectations. Locking you down is a. crazy signing by Sark. We're incredibly. pumped for him. What do you see in the. future? What's Sark telling you about. the future down there? And uh. when do you kind of get this whole thing. started, you think? >> Yeah, um so I've kind of had in my mind. where I wanted to go uh for the past few. weeks, I'd say, but yeah, you can't go. wrong with Coach Sark. Especially his. offense that he's putting you in and. then. going to have top-of-the-line. quarterbacks, the best quarterbacks in. the country, so that's huge for me as. well. >> Let's go to uh dad uh.
Tyler. Okay, I should have just went. with it. I thought it was Tyler. That's. 100% on me, dad. I am so sorry. I was a. little gun-shy there. I knew it started. with a T. Didn't know if it Ty, Tyler. Just trying to guess with. Illinois. Tyler, can you tell me a. little bit about watching the boy go. through the recruiting process and now. inevitably traveling down to be a Texas. Longhorn. How has that kind of been, I. don't want to say emotionally for you, but what has this voyage been like for. you as a dad? >> Yeah, no, I I appreciate First and. foremost, thank you for having us on. this stage. Truly appreciate this.
Um it's been a a wild journey. Um I I've. I've focused on the football side. My. wife Kelly here, she's focused on. education. So we divide and conquer. Um but I've been on we've been on 27. trips. And so we just wanted to make. sure we made the right decision at the. right place for the right reasons. And. there's full transparency at Texas. They. have an incredible staff. We have a. clear vision of their offense and how he. would be utilized with his skill set. Um they have a great player coming their. way athletically, but a great person on. top of that. He's a great teammate and.
we're excited for the for the next. chapter. >> Hell yeah, Brock. I'd like to hear that. Maybe a couple beers with the boys or. water depending upon what life you want. to go with. I'm not telling him to do. anything. Miss Kelly, uh don't listen to. any of that, obviously. >> Well, that'll never happen. >> Okay, okay, okay. Yeah, yeah. But I mean. that's team. That's football. That's. team. And it's Texas. I think it's going. to have to happen. Miss Kelly, uh about. the education. Sark just came out. literally, I think yesterday or 2 days. ago and said like at Texas you can't be. doing basket weaving. Uh dad Tyler just. said you're a big part of the education.
process. How has that kind of What have. you learned about maybe what's possible. at Texas and maybe what have you learned. about college education as a whole as. you've kind of gone through 27 visits on. this? >> Well, I'm a teacher to begin with. So I. have been paying really close attention. to all the schools that we've gone to. And this was my job kind of by default. cuz we didn't want to deal with the. education part. Um I think he's a hard worker. He'll be. fine wherever he goes educationally. >> Okay, well, congrats to the whole.
family. Brock, thank you for joining us. back on into the to the lads there. How. old are the brothers? >> This is his TWIN BROTHER. >> WOAH, GOOD nice to meet you, brother. >> Yeah, twin brother. >> Okay, oh jeez. I could imagine that how. That's electric. Yeah, okay, awesome. I. can't wait to see what your whole family. turns into as you guys grow older. You. got a teacher and a super football. Can't wait to follow along. Thanks for. letting us be a part of your journey. Ladies and gentlemen, it's Brock. >> Yeah, Brock.
>> Uh so, I'm the teacher. I'll deal with. the education stuff. That's sweet. >> Divide and conquer. >> Let's see what type of field turf we got. out here. Let's go ahead and get after. it. >> first point? >> We don't talk about it a lot. We talk. about a lot in the NFL, but not a lot in. college. Like for these recruits, like. if you're an offensive guy, you don't. have to worry about the OC being plugged. cuz Sark is the OC. Like that's huge for. them probably recruiting offensively. >> You do it in the NFL, right? We We talk. about that in the NFL a lot, never. really in college. And Sark's offense. has always been efficient. Is Arch.
Manning this year going to be Nobody. talks about Texas. >> the number one pick. Um he is the projected. uh he's either one or two for the. Heisman favorite. Uh Texas is supposed. to be one or two. So, it's very similar. to going into last year as far as the. projections are concerned, but it does. feel like it's quieter around Arch in. Texas this year even though the. projections at this time of the year are. the exact same. >> Yeah, I What towards the end Arch. started figuring it out, right? >> Yes, he did. >> Mhm. >> He started kind of Early it didn't look. great. >> No. >> Like I I think we all. >> like Ohio State really really got in his.
head. >> Like you think he was seeing ghosts for. most of the year cuz he. >> And you know how Ohio State would go on. to be historically How many in the. draft? How many Six in the first two. rounds? >> in the game? >> include Cade McNamara, you can even say. six in what? The top 35. picks. >> And that's Arch's first start. >> Yeah. >> Yeah. >> Yeah. >> With Matt Patricia running that thing? >> Three in the top 10. >> I just got a whole Oh, is this what this. going to be like all year? I think And. then outside doubt, you know, where the. people are like, "Who'd he play. against?" Oh, that's Arch Manning. is.
>> favorite. >> Yeah, you start really feeling it. And. then what, Florida game? Right? Was that. when they were in Florida? >> When That was not a good game. >> Oh, they lose there. Never mind. That. day. It was close. >> There was a Mississippi State game where. he, I believe, went off. And then, yeah, the later in the season. >> Everybody was like, "Hey, Arch has found. it. He's figured it out." Now he's a. full off-season of figuring it out. Should the hype be as big as it was last. year? Should it be bigger? I don't think. anybody really knows. >> No, you don't. Cuz, I mean, their O. line's Here's a Arch faced a lot of. pressure last year. So, and their O line.
is supposed to be uh incredible. They. have a top 10 tackle. uh coming back. So, uh. Things are going. >> Texas. >> Yeah, that's what I'm saying. >> I love Texas this year. >> They got great odds. And the the books. think they're going to be good. >> Uh-huh. >> But it isn't really much conversation, not much national chatter. And then. Brock Williams, 6'5, 230. >> And they beat A&M? >> He'll be 250 in a year and a half. >> He also uh got the number one transfer. wide receiver in the portal, uh Keam. Coleman out of uh Auburn, who's not.
Jeremiah Smith, but body-wise, very. close. >> He's huge. >> Ladies and gentlemen, let's go to some. NBA playoff conversation. Two huge games. tonight. The Stones try to extend the. series in Cleveland against the. Cavaliers. Cavaliers favored by 4 and. 1/2 on DraftKings. Spurs at. Timberwolves. Spurs favored by 5 and 1/2. at 9:30 p.m. on Prime. Pistons-Cavaliers, 7:00 p.m. on Prime. Joining us now, ladies and gentlemen, is. ESPN NBA pundit, co-host of the. Knuckleheads podcast, 13-year NBA vet, ladies and gentlemen, Qri. >> HEY, QRI.
>> WOAH. >> WOAH. >> WHAT'S GOOD, FELLAS? WHAT'S GOOD? What's. good? What's good? >> What is good, Qri? >> We got We got palm trees, living nice, man. Might be calling you the next ice. man. You look like you're living a pretty. good little life. You've earned it. Congratulations. The backdrop is. spectacular. We are looking for that. type of weather soon. Had rain this. morning. >> And tomorrow. >> And the next day. >> This is This is This is why I I I I.
reside in city beautiful, aka Orlando. I. I came down here when I got traded here. when I signed here, and I checked it. out. I was like, I kind of like it. around here. I don't want to be in the. Midwest cold anymore. >> Easy. >> It's good to see. >> Easy. >> I would say there's a lot of days where. I wake up and I look outside and I think. to myself, that's a good decision by. you. >> Yeah. >> But, hey, when that sun comes out for. the first time in 5 months, think about. that feeling you'll never be able to. feel again cuz you're down there where. all the sun is. Think about that one. time where we get to be like, Woo! >> Wow. >> We come out of hibernation now. We can.
go do life. >> Orlando is beautiful. >> I'll be excited for you all. I'll I'll. be very excited for y'all when that day. comes. >> has already happened a couple times. >> Yeah, it has been sunny before here. >> All right, let's get to the NBA playoffs. a little bit. Tonight, obviously, Cade. Cunningham is trying to extend a series. in Cleveland. He's played great. Everybody around him has seemingly not. played great. It'd be the first time. Detroit would advance since 2008, I do. believe, if they were able to pull this. off. And then, Spida, obviously, has. never done it in his 9-year career, gone. on to win it all. So, he's getting. judged upon everything. James Harden.
hasn't been for a while. James Harden. has not been this far for a while. I. think 8 years or 9 years or something. since he's made it this far. >> Used. >> in the playoffs. Can you just tell me. about that first game, Stones-Cavs, and. kind of what your expectation is on who. shows up for who? >> Uh me, selfishly, man, as a fan, I would. love to see this series go seven games, but I I feel like I feel like this this. is This is Cleveland's series now. You. know, they were the first team to get a. a road victory, and I feel like. obviously, they they they've been. dominant at home and playing really well.
at home. So, they should be looking to. close this thing out. I feel like, obviously, you come out with Donovan. Mitchell going to lead the way and throw. the first punch. But, like you said, you. need James Harden. You need those big. guys in Mobley and and um and um Allen. to come play big to close it out cuz. everybody knows the hardest game to win. is the closeout game. So, I know, and we. saw what Detroit has done with their. backs against the wall this playoff. So, I mean, this is not going to be a easy. game by any means, but I I I I think. Cleveland could get it tonight. >> They came back down 3-1 against Orlando,
obviously, in the first round. We all. thought the Stones were just a bunch of. fugazis, number one seed in the East, can't even get past Orlando. And then, all of a sudden, a magical comeback and. they make that two times this particular. playoff run. That would be crazy, almost. a gift from the football or basketball. gods. AJ has a question for you, Q Rich. >> Yeah, Q Rich. I guess who do you think. matches up best against the Knicks in. the next round, whoever would win this. the Stones-Cavs matchup here? >> Stones. >> Uh I mean, by the by the when you look. at the regular season, I would say. Detroit. I mean, Detroit kind of owned.
them in the regular season, beat them by. 31, 38, and 15. So, it wasn't like. regular season. I mean, I will say New. York is playing a lot different now. They're playing kind of at that top, at. that high post, and he's being kind of a. facilitator, taking the ball out of. Brunson's hand a little bit, and and. showing his versatility off the ball. So, I do feel like they're playing. different, and they're playing a lot. better than they were in those those. times in the season. But, in the season, Detroit beat them handily all three. times. So, I mean, I would I would say. that that based on that, I would say.
Detroit. But, by the way they're playing. now, I would probably say Cleveland, because Cleveland is showing, you know, more versatility in their roster beside. outside of Donovan. You you getting good. games from James Harden, Jared Allen, Evan Mobley. Max Strus is balling out. So, I think they got more players. playing well right now, and I think. that's why they're up in this series. against Detroit. >> The Knicks making back-to-back. conference finals for the first time. since? >> 90. >> 1979. >> 2000. >> Ooh. >> 26 years. Not as long as I potentially.
thought there. >> Yeah, I was thinking much further. >> Yeah, me, too. I got some fun stats here. about some of these teams. The Knicks. became the first team in NBA history to. win three straight playoff games by. 25-plus points. Obviously, they've been. dominant. They lead the NBA playoffs in. field goal percentage and three-point. percentage. That feels like a pretty big. deal, Q Rich. >> No, that is. I mean, that those things. are huge. I mean, all things lined up. Like I say, I was a I'm a former Knick. I would love to see them get to the. finals and have a chance at the. championship. I know the city would be. on fire, but even even more for me to.
the the fans and then those guys in the. organization that's been there forever, man. They got guys that's been there a. long time since before I got there, while I was there. So, they've endured. all those different ups and downs and. it'll be You know, it'll be great to see. them get a chance to be on the high side. of it. >> Man, it New York would be scenes, I. believe, is how that would be described. It's already packed out and it feels. like there is a majority of the humans. are Knicks fans in the biggest city in. America, Bruce. >> Yeah, they're going to have to call in. the National Guard if we got a finals.
game seven on on 7th Avenue. It's going. to be absolutely ridiculous. Um. it's crazy with the layoff. Like it's. just so different compared to last year. where, you know, we're in a dogfight. with the Pacers, the Pistons, um to now just be kind of watching the. Cavaliers and Pistons go at it. Um so, yeah, hopefully, you know, everybody. stays healthy and and this thing keeps. rolling and the city's on fire. >> Oh, Bruce is saying it's a wide-open. road, seemingly, for us over there in. the East. Well, let's go to the West, shall we? There's some things over there. that we haven't seen before. Go ahead,
Connor. >> Yeah, Q-Rich, we're talking about Wemby, okay? This guy is a freak of nature. We. have game six tonight. They're up 3-2. I wanted to ask you specifically about. that old-school eat my elbow from game. four. It felt as though Wemby was just. kind of sick of the BS, you know? He. feeds Naz Reid the back of his arm, boom. And we were talking, too, like. with with the size and the amount of. force from his 7'4" 7'5" frame wingspan,
that is basically like taking a rubber. bullet to the throat. He wasn't. suspended. He wasn't fined. Did you like this, you know, Pat asked a. couple of people kind of about like the. old-school group text? Like, what was. your group text kind of going off like, wow, here we go. 90s basketball. basketball we kind of grew up with might. be back. They don't find him. They don't. suspend him." He basically just gets. reamed out by Greg Popovich getting off. the plane when they arrive back from. Minnesota and that was the extent of it. But then he goes bananas in game five.
and now it feels like they're kind of. primed to win this thing in six. What. did you think about this and how do you. feel about tonight with the Spurs going. back to Minnesota trying to close it. out? >> Well, first you know, obviously I don't. want to see anybody get hurt or anything. and like obviously that could have been. that could have been an injury right. there. But I'm glad it wasn't. But with. that being said, I loved every second of. it. I loved everything about it. I loved. that he that he took that he took the. initiative and I and I did think that it. was intentional. I didn't think he, you. know, meant to hit him in the head or. like really injure him. But I think when.
you're a body when you're a guy with a. body like Wimby and I think every every. big man that's coming to the league. that's supposed to be a quote unquote. star and when they are young they they. going to get tested. I I. I watched Dwight go through it. I'm sure. Shaq and and Pat and some of those guys. go through it. And until you do this a. couple times and you lay a couple people. out, you gain that respect. Like I. guarantee you. the guys are going to double going to. going to think twice before they go. buzzing around him like a nat at the. barbecue and he get get those rebounds. After they look at him laying eyes right.
down like that and he may need to do it. another time or or two before before. people really just leave him alone and. stop swinging at the ball and swiping at. the ball. But like a lot of big men and. and historically coming into the league, they had to take these these hits and. take these fines and suspensions and. different things to get that point. across to where you leave them alone. when they get those rebounds and you. stay away from them and you know that. those elbows need to be registered. weapons. >> Definitely registered weapons, especially on his. They're swinging at a. different altitude than everybody else. is seemingly in the history of the game.
other than what Yao Ming maybe? Is Yao Ming. Both of those that both both the highest. elbows that have been swung around. And. I think Emon said like the big guys. always used to bully people. And then it. was kind of like then it was kind of. stop messing with them. I appreciate. that he knew that he had to do something. to stop. Like I have to prove that I'm. not just going to get bullied down here. Like like I have to do that. >> During that play, you look at that play, he was being held the whole Like I'm not. saying that the elbow was was was was.
right and he did But look at this. He's. being held by the jersey around the. court. Then they call the foul. And. watch this. McDaniels go to put him in. the choke hold after that. Like the play. over, bro. What we doing? So it's like, yeah, you got to you got. to do something to stop people. And if. I'm McDaniels, I'm not, you know, he's. doing whatever he got to do to frustrate. this dude. Like you don't know how to. figure him out. So you do anything. But. like from Wemby's standpoint, enough is. enough. I'm tired of it. >> People know he'll do it now. >> Oh, yeah. >> Yeah, that is that is one of the things. that people know he'll do it now. And. hopefully there will be a a respect.
level. We cannot wait to watch him. uh the rest of the way. If you were to. pick this particular the game, um. who do you like? How do you like it? >> Oh, man. I I I. Like I said, as a fan I want to see. seven. So I would I think I think. Ant-Man has a huge response. I think he. comes out I love I love everything about. his mentality and everything I've seen. from him lets me know he's going to come. out here and he's going to go he's going. to go all out. But I mean, at the same. time, if Wemby decides to come out the. way he did last game and he gets any.
support from those guards and wings, it. it's it's over to me. >> You're right. >> I'd say San Antonio win if if Wemby does. that type of game again. >> Five and a half points in Minnesota. Remember Minnesota's record before the. last time San Antonio came out there in. Minnesota. Very good. Like that. He. buzzsawed over the place. If they were. able to steal or win the series up. there, that'd obviously be notable as. the Oklahoma City Thunder await them in. the Western Conference. All right, Q. Rich, we appreciate the hell out of you. Have an incredible week. I don't know. how you couldn't, but hey, have a good. weekend down there, man.
>> All right, fellas. Y'all be cool. >> Okay, so how let's Can you. Is there there's a pool back there? Do. we got the fence around because the. gators or the uh crocodile How many uh. >> No no no no gators here. No gators here, brother. I'm in the I'm good. The pool. right there. And you know, I got the screen in here. on the patio. That's what you seeing. right here, the screen. So you know, the. mosquitoes and everything, I can just. chill out in the backyard. >> off that balcony into the pool? >> Yeah, how far that balcony I see? >> How far of a gap is it from up there to.
to the pool? >> Or the roof, maybe? >> a younger me might have might have tried. that. Not not not not the grown-up me. I'm cool. I'm chilling. >> Okay, I thought that was certainly just. a Caucasian idea cuz as soon as me and. AJ saw that, that was our both of our. first thoughts, I think, AJ, right? Was. that not to see if we could have made. that? Yeah, especially the roof, too. The overhang up there gets you a little. bit closer and it's a little higher. I. think that's probably where I'm headed. How deep's that pool there, Key Rich? >> It's like 8 ft on the deep end. >> Oh, we can definitely do that. >> Do it. GO UP THERE RIGHT NOW. >> CAN YOU SHOW US.
CAN YOU SHOW US WHAT THAT ROOF looks. like up there a little bit just to see. how far of A. >> OH, YEAH. >> OH, YEAH. AND. CAN YOU SHOW us how big the gap is there. between the window wall right there? >> Basically a diving platform. >> Yeah, we can do that. Deep end's down on. that side or is that shallow end? >> It don't matter. >> No, that's the that's the deep end down. there. That's the deep end down. >> Straight off of that thing. Do not. cannot hit that. Do not hit that, okay? We'll watch you. guys do it. We appreciate you, man. You're the best. Have a great weekend. >> Yes, sir. Fellas, y'all too. >> All right, see you later, ladies and.
gentlemen, Key Rich. >> Yeah, Key Rich. >> I hope he doesn't jump off that without. us. >> Yeah, or. or maybe send someone else off it. >> Film at least film it, maybe, if he's. going to do it. >> Yeah, have somebody with a GoPro up. there so we can see. >> check it out, guys. I'm off the roof. He. does like a gainer and bam, lands it. perfectly. >> have someone we don't care about go off. the roof, like just in case. >> We care about our viewers. >> Who would that be? >> That's not true. There's plenty of bad. people out there. >> don't want I don't want Key Rich get. hurt. >> Yeah, of course you don't want to think. about. >> know what I don't I don't live in my. feelings. >> What are those streamers that builder.
Gum watches? >> Oh, you're right. That's like a thing. for them. >> Yeah. >> I the the one the builder one, I don't. know, man. I don't think I like that. >> no, not Bob. Bob Bob helps people. >> That seems pretty This is. I think gimmicks are starting to fly a. little bit too close to the. Icarus Icarus, is that what it was? >> that's the one. >> Ladies and gentlemen, there's big news. in the zoo world. >> Oh. >> The trade of the century potentially. just took place between the Pittsburgh. Zoo and the Boston Zoo. Ladies and. gentlemen, Frankie. has been sent out of the Pittsburgh What.
are you What are you upset about? >> I mean, those are That's not even the. full details of the trade. Can we get. Shifty or Rab. to include the full details, please? It. wasn't just a. a swap, okay? >> All right, there was an unnamed ape as. well in this entire thing. Okay, there. it is. >> Boom. >> Okay, Frankie and unnamed ape from the. Pittsburgh Zoo have been traded to the. Boston Zoo in RETURN FOR SILVERBACK. 33-year-old. stud, LITTLE JOE, who once.
escaped the zoo. >> Yes, yeah. >> Okay, now there's a lot of people saying. the zoo that got Little Joe, the. silverback gorilla, probably the one. that won. >> Yeah, I agreed. >> And then there's other people from. Boston saying, "Yeah, right. We got. 7-year-old Frankie coming to town. This. guy's a part of a little bachelor group. that's going to be roaming around in. Boston. And the only reason why Little. Joe was sent down in the Pittsburgh Zoo,
they need his sperm bad.". >> Bingo. >> And his sperm's been all around the. Boston Zoo. So, it seems like a good. trade for both parties, but Con Man, you've been saying that the Boston Zoo. clear winner of this particular ape. trade that took place. >> Yeah, it's not even close. It's all. about scheming fit, you know, we're. talking about how Little Joe, who again, by the way, let me just say, thank you. for your service, Little Joe. We will. never forget you. >> Thank you for doing that. >> And the boss do. It's not just one of. those things like, "Hey, get out of. town. We don't want you anymore." Little.
Joe, we love you. And your 33 years in. Boston were great. Now, he escaped and. mauled a 2-year-old, but let's not get. into what Little Joe is about. >> Little Joe right now on his way out. >> him. This is just history, and this is. what happened. Now, let's get into. scheming fit, okay? Frankie? Yeah, you. mentioned it. There's two apes up there. that have been waiting for an alpha, for. a third to make themselves a thruple. Kind of the [ __ ] of THE WALK. WALK. WALK AROUND THE ZOO A LITTLE BIT. Do. some of this, you know? >> Oh, yeah. Do some of that.
>> Yeah, and they might they might be. partying. They might have a little. spillage, but that's that's what's going. to happen when you're a 7-year-old ape, you know? 33 years old, Little Joe. again. Not. Not that he's not past his prime. He's. But he had his time, okay? Frankie's. coming up, 7 years old, ready to rock. >> you like to talk about how Little Joe is. >> WE HAVEN'T EVEN GOTTEN INTO THE UNNAMED. APE. >> You're you're filling up the air right. now. You were filling up the air right. now. You were filling up the air right. now. >> This is what he does. He just yells loud. and. Oh, I won cuz I yelled loud. Let's talk about the facts. Little Joe.
six-time Super Bowl champ, one of the. goats to ever do it. Oh, what does. Boston do? Someone who's given them so many years. of greatness and gratitude, they ship. him down to another place. One time it was to Tampa Bay. This time. it's to Pittsburgh, okay? And what. happened when. Little Tom went down to Tampa Bay? Oh, all of his friends came and they joined, and they won a Super Bowl. And that's. what Little Joe's going to do in. Pittsburgh because Little Joe, he's got. two females waiting for him, waiting to. just. accept Little Joe.
>> Little Joe's Little Joe. >> Accept Little Joe's Little Joe. >> It ain't little. >> Because the two females in Pittsburgh. are both, you know, approaching 30 years. old. They need the alpha, okay? Frankie's not an alpha. We've seen that. He's been here for 7 years, hasn't got. one of them pregnant, okay? Not one. time. >> He's 7 years old, Tony. That is. disgusting. >> They don't start till their kids until. looking through You're looking through a. keyhole, Tony. >> Little Joe is coming down and he's going. to impregnate all the gorillas in. Pittsburgh, and we're going to have so. many more Little Joes, and the. Pittsburgh Zoo, which I Googled, um is a.
much far superior zoo than the Franklin. Zoo in Boston, okay? So, they realized, "Hey, Little Joe needs to spread his. wings and fly to a better zoo.". >> Oh, so he kind of went from minor league. to major league. Hold on, though. I will say Connor, with. what your objection was coming. >> Yeah, big one. >> Darius J. Butler, former New England. Patriot, Pittsburgh got hosed. Little Joe. >> Oh, I'm sure I'm sure Darius researched. the subject, or did he just fire off a. tweet and even think about it?
>> OH, I I will say I Googled, okay? I. Googled amongst other folks who maybe. have a little possible interest in this. particular trade, what the life. expectancy is for a silverback. immediately upon hearing that we're. getting it We're giving away a. 7-year-old. This is the future of the. franchise. >> Oh, yeah. >> And Frankie, obviously, he's liked. He's. a trade Other teams want him. So, obviously, he's got some great moxie, I. assume. >> Frankie Frankie was fine. >> He's 33. The first Google search told me these. things 35 to 40 dead.
>> That's in the wild. That's in the wild. That's in the wild. In captivity, it's. 45 to 50. I'm looking at the answer. right now. >> Okay, so we got at least 10 years. We'll. take it. 10 good years out of Little Joe. in Pittsburgh up there. What, Frankie's. just going to mix in with the crowd? Little Joe's about to come peacocking. >> WELL, GET LITTLE JOE. >> LITTLE JOE. >> LOOK AT HIM. >> LOOK, his peacocking years are over. Clearly, you guys haven't looked into. the peacocking years of silverback. gorillas. And I appreciate what you said. about him being a six-time Super Bowl. champion, but again, this is just the. Pittsburgh in you. You're looking. through a keyhole, Tony. You see, he.
also has two NBA championships. >> He also has. >> He also has a. >> Keep building up Little Joe's resume. >> Okay, so yeah, no. And he was It was a. real long time ago. Frankie's coming. over. He's 7 years old. [ __ ] let me. think about this. I don't know. Looks as. though he's probably going to be the one. to resurrect the. >> this sounds a lot like when he was. talking about Mac Jones. This is This is. Tom Brady and Mac Jones right now. That's what's happening right now. >> Funny enough, oh, that's funny cuz I. believe little Joe made the Mac Jones. pick. So, it. looks like you're getting the guy.
>> No, hold on there. At least Frankie has. won like a playoff game or a playoff. series, right? >> Has he? Well, no, that's why Frankie was. stirring up so much [ __ ] Uh Frankie, I. guess what we're not talking about is. the. >> backstory here. He He He wanted to leave. Pittsburgh because all the alpha. gorillas that you guys had were kind of. used to stay. >> Yeah, bullying him. I expect both of you. to go check in on both of these zoos. >> I ain't checking on little Joe. He ain't. part of my family no more. >> I will check on little Joe. >> All right. Okay, you'll check on little. Joe. >> I'll go back to the Pittsburgh Zoo, a. far superior zoo, and check on little. Joe. >> Not true. >> Will you go talk to Frankie?
>> I We'll see We'll see how he shows up. We'll see if he shows up ready. >> has 4,000 species. >> He ain't He ain't just Yeah, and half. and half of the species are fruit flies. >> 212. >> What's you just say? Say that thing. again. >> Somebody Google it. >> Half of those species are fruit flies. So, I don't even want to get into the. quality. >> They deserve. >> Oh, so now Noah's Ark doesn't matter. >> Oh, it does matter, big time. And let's. not get into the dinosaurs on there, too. But, if Frankie shows up ready to. work, then yeah, I'll go check in on. him. But, if it's Pittsburgh habits, he. shows up with. >> You don't think he's going to work if he.
shows up with the. >> the past I don't know if. >> I'm done. I'm done. I'm done with it. Congratulations to both zoos seemingly. getting what they needed at this. particular time. >> Agreed. >> I rule it a win-win. >> Sure. But, we know. >> One one more. Especially if you get two. >> Well, it's weird because if it was a. straight-up like good trade, you. wouldn't have to throw in an unnamed ape. at a later time. >> Uh unless that unnamed ape is kind of. the the quiet one that everybody kind of. wants peace of, but nobody knows about. it yet. And that's kind of the word that. I'm getting. >> Well, little Joe has won that one and. another one. So, I I think there's quite.
a conversation to be had about the main. attraction coming down at the Pittsburgh. Zoo. >> That's the resume. That's the resume. sale, baby. All right. >> Uh appreciate both of the zoos getting. active, okay? Giving us something to. chat about. >> Yeah. >> It's big news last night. >> positions, obviously those two. Okay, they're playing two different positions. or at different parts of their careers. But if you can get 10 good years out of. Little Joe stomping the yard. >> Agreed. >> and a couple Little Joe's Little Joe's. running around, I think that's a. success. Frankie, if he's able to meet. up with his bachelor crew and kind of.
run. roughshod for a while, say. Boston zoo-goers can say, "That's fun. over there.". >> Yeah. >> That'd be good, I think. 10 years a long. time to be a successful zoo animal. >> I guess for I guess for Frankie is from. my sources is actually really melting. well with with the with the boys so far. I I. I'm dead I I'm dead serious. She's got a. photo. Looks as though Frankie and the bachelor. are yeah are alive and well, yeah. Well, I can't. >> Can you send it? >> It locked out, yeah. Yeah, I'll try and. send it. I mean, we should You're right,
there's a lot of other stuff to get to, but. >> Oh, okay. Didn't happen. Not so. All. right, let's put this one That is not. ass at all. >> No. >> And on this particular Friday, we've. decided we would like to recap all the. things that are great and all the things. that are bad. First, let's go with the. things that we thought were great that. need a little bit more of a spotlight. Ladies and gentlemen, it's time for five. things that aren't ass. We had them on. in the first hour. Paul Skenes right now. MLB not ass at all. >> Nope. >> He's pitching everything nice. Under 2.0. ERA for potentially the third straight.
season to start his MLB career. Historic. Love what he's doing, Tone. Love the vibes in Pittsburgh around the. Pirates. >> gone 16 straight innings without. allowing a run. Uh he's taken. back-to-back games into the seventh. without allowing a hit. Skenes is. absolutely on fire. He's what we call uh. we like to call a stopper. When it gets. to him, any losing stops. He's going to. get you a win. >> That's right, and that's why we're not. running into seven, eight, nine game. lose streaks like the Cincinnati Reds. are because we got Paul every five days. The aces certainly aren't ass. It's not. just Skenes all. No, it's also How about.
Shohei, the world's biggest star from. baseball throwing a baseball better than. maybe anybody ever, AJ. They're putting. him up against the the best of all time. with what he's doing, how he's doing, the lack of hits, the lack of runs, and. also the composure, the moxie, and the. movement on these pitches is must-watch. He's not ass at all, AJ. >> No, he's not. And watching in this this. slow-mo cam in 4K or whatever, it's. awesome to see from behind like how much. these pitches can move. And obviously, we know he has the heater to to drive it.
by anybody when he needs it. But look at. that one right there. It's just just. wild to think of. >> Okay, so we got America's ace and. Japan's ace both dealing. That's great. for the sport, especially fresh out of. the World Baseball Classic with all the. other stars that are absolutely balling. Shout out to baseball. Let's stay in. baseball. You know what else is an ass. and didn't get enough love? Riley Green. sang his ass all the way up to the. batter's box and then got a hit. You. don't believe me? Let's go to some. banana ball, shall we, with the big, handsome, former college quarterback.
Hey, they're good choreography. There was this girl, wasn't there? There was, but I ain't come over.
Come on, bananas. Come on now. Come on. For bananas. Okay, so he does that, obviously rocks the house, place goes. crazy. He's Riley Green, holy hell, how's this guy so him? Puts the hat on, cap on, gets the bat, puts the gloves. on, steps in the batter's box. Okay, coolest entrance maybe of all time. We've seen a lot of people step up to. bat in these banana games and embarrass. themselves. Riley, absolutely not. >> What? >> SHOT UP THE MIDDLE. SHAGS IT OUT, LEGS.
IT OUT. SINGLE. RILEY GREEN batting a. thousand in banana ball while singing. himself up to bat. What a beautiful. moment. That's not ass at all, A.J. Hawk. >> No, it's not. We have seen it. It is not. as easy as it looks to get a hit in. these banana games. No question. He's. going right back at the pitcher like. they teach you. >> Yeah, and he's got Look at the. camouflage bat there. He He just got. that from duck blind. He actually. >> Yeah. >> He actually that. >> Wood. >> wood there that wood that made that bat. that was camouflaged. An otter actually. saw that thing down to make a dam out.
there where he was duck hunting. He. grabbed that because he had such a good. duck hunting day. Maybe 30 30 different. ducks came through with his. with the the way he's been calling them. He said, "I want to I want to remember. today forever." Made a camouflage bat. out of the otter dam's wood and he hits. a single with it in banana ball. Now. he's batting a thousand. This guy can do. [ __ ] anything. >> Yeah, he might be the only one they. talked about him being the only one ever. to kind of sing himself up. He might be. the only guy at least I've seen to go up. there and perform well. >> That's That's certainly not ass. >> No, it's not ass at all. >> Yeah, and we saw the Yankee legend.
>> Yeah, Tino Martinez. >> Yeah. >> We saw Russell. >> Russell Wilson, Drew Brees. He didn't do. anything. >> It's hard. >> It's hard. >> It's hard to hit a ball. >> And they're dunking on you, too. I mean, they're doing the trick [ __ ] in your. face. Hey, welcome to banana ball. Poop. poop. Show your kids this. Out. See you. >> Pull a hamstring, too, Riley stride. >> Yeah, stride. >> Running. Legging it out. >> And we've seen him. He's got those. >> Wait. >> big skate. >> College athlete. >> skate skinny legs. >> College quarterback. >> Good for him. He doesn't have that tall. of legs. That wasn't ass. How about an.
ass that sits about 13 ft high? Stilts. gets a hit in banana ball as well, A.J. DID YOU SEE THIS? STILTS IS ON THE MOVE. >> I MEAN, HOW DOES HE GET HOW DOES he get. in and out of the stilts? Do we know? >> What do you mean What do you mean in and. out? >> He's got a 30-ft ladder? He's got a. 30-ft ladder he climbs up. >> No, he lives They're attached to his. hips. >> What do you mean in and out? >> It is kind of be attached to his feet. >> No. >> No, this is the surgery. He had surgery. to attach him to his. >> What do you know? He's wearing pants. You can't see anything. >> That's amazing.
>> Boom. Safe. >> I don't like that they always try to. throw him out at first from the. outfield. I see him all the time. I. don't that if he gets it to the ball in. the outfield, you shouldn't be allowed. to throw stilts out of the. >> No, yeah, right. These guys might be in. the MLB next week. >> Stilts? >> Yeah, you you think they want any any of. them? The outfielder doesn't done done. stilts. You think they're ever going to. get to play for the Padres? Yeah, right, dude. These These dudes are trying to. hit that pipeline up to the big show. That's what they're trying to do cuz. they're good. >> I think that's why Banana Ball has done. well. >> A lot of good baseball players, even if. you can get up on stilts and get it.
Now, the person that does the stiltsy, um I I heard a fun fact. >> Okay. >> Stilts man? >> You mean like. that person? >> What's the fun fact? >> You mean Albert? >> What'd you hear? >> I heard a fun hair is awesome. >> Okay. >> I've heard the hair is awesome. Jawline. phenomenal. >> Yeah. >> Also, Bruce, would you like to share? >> Uh he's quite short, a lot shorter than. than you might expect. >> Okay. >> Okay. >> What do you mean like. >> He's 8 ft. >> Like like short for a guy with stilts or. just short? >> Uh looks pretty tall to me. >> Yeah, looks like about 15 ft if I had to. guess. What If that was like 15 ft 4 in,
how how tall would the stilts be? >> Uh they would probably be 10 ft tall. >> Okay, that's what I learned. That's. crazy. Yeah, so stilts is up there just doing. it crazy. >> I don't like what Bruce is. >> I don't believe you. >> Bruce is trying to spread that. >> Very nice guy though. I saw him. Holy. [ __ ] it's stilts. >> Okay. >> Hey, we did get to see the Savannah. Banana Boys. >> Shut up. >> How would he. >> How would he know how tall. he always has the stilts on? >> Yeah, does he travel with these stilts. on? Like how's he get on the airplane? >> I don't think there's enough room around. the couches for the stilts. >> I thought it was like a. >> I think they just got to carry him.
around. >> I thought it was like a what's the. >> I saw Ziggy, the bat guy. He's from. Pittsburgh. >> Sure. >> I met him. I met one of the other. I love what they're doing. They're in. here in Indianapolis this weekend. without the bananas and they're probably. going to sell out if the weather holds. up. >> Clowns in a Ford Explorer. >> All right, let's go to the next things. that aren't ass. How about the future of. American soccer? Remember Kevin Sullivan. out of Philadelphia. We met him when he. was 14 years old, signed a professional. deal to go overseas, a part of the. Philadelphia Union. He now still playing. for Philly as a 16-year-old. Beautiful lefty cross. How about it. TAKING IT BACK?
FIRST MLS GOAL FOR CAVAN SULLIVAN, the. young phenom out of Philly who could. potentially be the future of United. States soccer. How come I haven't seen. this guy on the field, Gump? He scores. goals. That was a nasty pass across, and. then he get it back to go to the right. spot to bury it whenever they're losing, obviously a great play by him. Don't we. need to Why is this guy on Team USA? This is the future What are we doing. here, Gump? Yeah, when do I How do I. Where do I watch him? >> He has started to play a little bit. more, but yeah, it would have been nice, you know, last year. He needs some more. minutes, you know. If he's going to be.
around, he's going to be with the this. team, 16 years old, he's got to play. Yamal's 18 years old, he was playing for. Barcelona at 17, one of the best players. in the world. Like, let's get this guy. on the pitch. >> Yeah, let's get him on the pitch. Let's. get him playing a little bit. That's the. only way he's going to get better, and. it seems like he's pretty comfortable. Hasn't been comfortable since he's 14, crazy story. That's not ass at all. How. about Messi, huh? Messi thought he had a. a hat-trick, turns out just two goals. Just two goals, thought it was a. hat-trick, just two goals. Messi becomes. uh the first person to do something. every game he does something. That is.
That is kind of how it goes. Every. stadium he goes into it's sold out. The. Messi experience in the MLS has. certainly been a fantastic one. The MLS. as league is obviously growing, but the. tickets are moving, and everybody. watches every clip of everything Messi. does. Is he on a little bit of a heater. right now scoring, Gump? It feels like. that. And where are we in the MLS season. right now? >> Uh we're about a quarter of the way. through. He's picked it up the last few. games. Inter Miami struggles. defensively, though, so like you see. here, they were down 3-2 with about 15. minutes left. So, they scored five goals.
to win, and then uh this night of MLS. actually set the record, 58 goals scored. was the most ever scored on an MLS match. day on Wednesday night. >> Unbelievable that MLS is kind of. bringing it. >> A little bit. >> Kind of bringing it. We would like them. to put their pink slips up over there at. Champions League. You guys get your best. team over there. We'll put up our best. team from the MLS. We'll put up the. cups, the pink slips for it all. And if. we win, you got to take us into the. Premier League as well. >> Yes. >> Okay, that's what I'm already into the.
Champions League. >> They grow up. >> We would like our top three teams in the. Champions League. >> No. >> Well, Miami hasn't even made the. playoffs in the MLS. So, that's going to. >> Whoa. They won it last year. I thought it was last year they were. champions. Get with. >> I thought it was last year didn't Messi. not even make the post season? >> They beat the Whitecaps in the final. last year. >> are you? >> Follow along. It's Messi soccer. >> Damn it, man. >> Oh, look at me. I don't like soccer. >> I like soccer a lot, actually. I played. in first grade. >> You don't know it. >> Okay. Green Hornets.
Okay. >> Big green I still remember the whole. season. My coach gave us hot chocolate. after every game. >> The big green? >> Yeah. Green Hornets. I'm pretty sure we. were undefeated. >> That's a move. >> Did you guys eat oranges at half time? >> Yeah. It was first grade cuz they. wouldn't let me play football till. second. So, yeah, we had a great year. >> You're the best. So, how come How come. you guys in Pennsylvania, Pittsburgh, they got them in first grade playing. football? >> Same with me. >> That's a little bit of a difference. That's a little bit of a difference. You. can kind of sense it. Okay, let's move. along. The last thing that we would like to. showcase that we think is not ass at all.
comes from the lacrosse world. >> Yes. >> Ladies and gentlemen, look at the clock. 12:12, under 20 seconds. STONY BROOK. PRESSING. TURNOVER. Johns Hopkins has it. with 13 seconds left in their own end. Number zero, MK, LET'S GO. DOWN, down the field. Quick passing. Give me that. THREE, TWO, ONE. GOAL! JOHNS HOPKINS WINS in literally THE.
FINAL SECOND AFTER A FULL FIELD PRESS. CON, MAN, can you tell me a little bit. more about how likely this is? Where did. they're going somewhere? This is a Oh, yeah. >> Can we get the sound on this from the. beginning? We don't have sound. >> Call was fantastic. >> Unbelievable. >> It really builds up the entire time. 13. seconds from their own end all the way. down to the other end. Goal scored and. moving on to the finals weekend or. something like that. >> Yeah, this is to go to the final four. Taylor Haas, I believe it was the one. that scored. Actually, what it doesn't. show too 12 to 12, they were down 12-10.
They kind of made a massive comeback. Now, kind of a a fast break like that, if you will, was uh basically to a T. That is how you draw it up and they. executed it perfectly. This is to go to. the final four, which is next week on. Friday. They will take on Northwestern, who's the number one team in the. country. And then Maryland and UNC are. the other game. Uh but this is. wonderful. When you are basically. breaking this down, I'm sure with 5. minutes left, the Johns Hopkins coach. probably said like, "Hey, we're going to.
get a chance to win and whether it's. with 15, 20 seconds, a minute left, we're going to have to get it done." And. the fact that they kind of tic-tac-toe, you could you could kind of see it right. there. Basically drawn up. It looked. like a three-man weave damn near. Uh it. was perfection and that is kind of the. magical lacrosse. You could you can win. what and score basically on any. possession. And and sometimes it's that. fast. That's why it's so much fun to. watch. >> Unbelievable ending. Incredible. execution. And Taylor Haas say hi. Hot. hands. Little potato in there.
>> That's a stop. ball. >> How long was that pass from Les co. there? Like it's like a 35-40 yard uh. dime right there. >> Oh, yeah. Probably end to end is I don't. know. Typically like 110, 112 yards is. basically the back of the end zone. >> right here. This one right here. They're. looking for an outlet, right? >> Yeah, that's probably a 50-60 yard pass. Yeah. >> Oh, that's Les co. I'm sorry. Right. there. I I missed the name. I apologize. for that 100%. Whoever did the long pass. from the beginning, I should get that. name. We should get that name at some. point. We apologize for not having that. Unbelievable. >> Dart.
>> That that that's a long That's a huck. >> That's like the biggest. >> the glasses? So they the women wear. glasses? >> They don't let them wear pads. They My. daughter plays lacrosse. They need to. let them wear pads like the boys and. kill each other. They don't let them hit. because they're wearing eye protection. and no glasses, no gloves, no helmets, no gloves. They should play like the. boys. >> Okay, so that's Ohio getting into. lacrosse. What you just heard right. there, which is. >> in general. The girls all want to hit. They watch the boys games like, "Man, this would be awesome." And then they. don't let them do it. >> Okay, so you have a daughter in lacrosse. and I think you are one that would like. to grow the game. I think we've all kind.
of fallen in love with the game a little. bit more here as we've gotten into this. world because we get a chance to meet. people The Kavanaugh family's obviously. Thank you for having us. The Powells. obviously we know from the history. The. indoor lacrosse awesome. Obviously PLL is awesome. The Olympics. is coming and also it's a sport where. the you know, my particular build, which. my kids will have, could potentially. play pretty well. So I would like to see. lacrosse continue to go. And I love that. this is happening. Exhilarating at the. end of any game is awesome and that is. certainly not ass at all.
Okay, let's run through some of the bad. now, shall we, ladies and gentlemen? Sorry to all the people that are. watching with dogs at home, probably. going crazy. Hey, we'll just pile on. We'll continue. to pile on. We apologize. It's time to. HOP ON THE. >> OH, NO. >> LET'S GO TO THE PGA CHAMPIONSHIP, THE. MAJOR THAT IS happening currently over. there in Oklahoma. Bryson DeChambeau, day one, YouTube.
golfer, rolls it about 50 ft, maybe 60. yd past the hole. The greens in the. course have been kicking the golfers'. ass thus far. A lot of people thought. they were going to score well. A lot of. people thought the golfers were going to. beat this place. The green said, "I. don't think so." And they turned him. into Bryson DeChambeau. >> OH, NO. >> LET'S GO TO BASEBALL, always doing. something sweet for us. This is twin. shortstop Brooks Lee. Okay, he hits a.
pop up here. Now, this is something. that, you know, is straight out of the. movie. To the sky he hits this thing. All. right, I got it. I got it. You got it. We got it. NOBODY GOT IT. >> OH. NO. >> THEY'RE ADULTS, A.J. HOW'S THAT HAPPEN, PAL? >> YEAH, COMMUNICATION, we know and. everything always helps. And obviously. these guys did not communicate very. well. >> Hey, you want to talk about. communication? I'll tell you what, fan. and team is certainly a part of the. problem here. How about let's go to the.
Washington Nationals. Is that a home run? >> Nice. >> a home run? Down two, man on base bottom. of the 10th. Hit the lights. SOMEBODY. HIT THE LIGHTS. WE JUST TIED IT UP IN. THE 10TH with a home run. Place is going. to go crazy. Actually, the rules say. you're not allowed to do that, pal. You're not allowed to reach over and. snag a ball. >> What was going on anyway? >> Oh, was it? Was it?
>> Hard to know. >> We'll never know. And if it hits the. yellow, it's not a home run. But if it. hits the yellow and bounces over, it is. a home run. But if a fan is trying to. help his team and wants to maybe take a. ball home in the bottom of THE 10TH. OH. NO. >> THAT IS TOUGH. THAT IS TOUGH STUFF. OKAY, let's go to a soccer game over in. Prague, I do believe. What what country. is this here? >> Czech Czech Republic. >> Okay, 3-2, 96:27, 10 minutes of stoppage time. Crowd so.
excited. This number one team in the. league, we just won another game over a. rival. They go sprinting onto the pitch, going crazy. We got flares, we got. drums, we got madness. We still got game. to play, is what the ref said. We got we got a lot of game. Nobody blew. this game over. The match would go on to. become suspended. They would not get a. win. They would lose the points. And now. their lead for the league has dwindled. and it's going to be a tight race. strictly because the fans said, "You.
know what? We'll lose this one for you. and we'll have the WHOLE WORLD SAYING, >> OH, NO. >> ALL RIGHT, LET'S go to MLS soccer. Let's. go to team USA in the World Cup. Ladies. and gentlemen, one of our goalies who. has done great things for team USA, Matt. Turner. He plays for the New England. Revolution. >> Oh, jeez. >> He got a ball passed back to him and he. loses to the ground and the Nashville. >> That's unbelievable. >> Did he mean to do that? >> How's that? You see him you see the ball just just.
embarrassingly hop off it. We know this. guy. We've seen this guy in his team. USA. You're going to make mistakes. obviously. Sometimes you got to hey, you. got to pass it off, BUT. >> GET RID OF. >> OH, NO. >> AND THEN LET'S STAY IN SOCCER. THIS IS. IN SYRIA. We don't know this guy's name, but we do know THE PAIN. PAIN. PAIN. >> THAT HURTS. >> PAIN. >> PAIN. >> WE ARE SO SORRY THAT HAPPENED TO YOU,
PAL. AND I appreciate you putting your. life on the line for your team. But as. soon as we see that ball bust your nose. and potentially concuss you, you can't. HELP BUT SAY, >> OH, NO. >> ALL RIGHT, WE'RE out of here. Hope you. all have an incredible weekend. We can't. thank you all enough for allowing us to. do this for a living. We've enjoyed the. hell out of this week. We hope you will. uh. We hope you allow us to do it again next. week. Have the best weekend of all time. Be a. friend, tell a friend something nice. It. might change your life or anything. together. Team on me. Team on three. 1 2.
3 TEAM. SEE, NOBODY on TV ever gets to. do that. >> Yeah, true. >> Sports Center is next. Goodbye. You think anybody TV wise did that? >> Definitely. Everyone. >> Oh, yeah. >> You think so? >> 1,000%. >> I wonder where they were like in an. airport. >> Could have been. >> Yeah. >> A bar, it's Friday. Probably. a lot of booze in going on there. >> Beer up, watching the PGA. >> PGA Championship. >> Oh, yeah. So, I forgot. >> Let's do a little. uh let's let's do one more oh no. Okay. Let's do one more oh no. It's outside. the sports world, so we didn't want to. keep it.
in the oh no sports. >> Sure. >> But, it certainly needs to be in the way. more. no category. What's the name of the Obama. uh President Obama family produced. movie? >> Leave the world behind. >> Okay, if you remember in Leave the World. Behind, the thing that really got them. at the end was these Teslas got out of. control when they were basically. high-speed missiles and they were kind. of just taking over everything, shutting. down roads, nobody could get anywhere. They kind of just blew it all up there. They're controlled by computer. It was a. bad deal. It's a bad deal.
You see what's going on down there in. Georgia? Run the clip, Foxy. >> Video here captured several of the. self-driving cars just clogging up a. neighborhood cul-de-sac. The people. living in the Northwest Atlanta. neighborhood say dozens end up circling. their community. Channel 2's Steve. Gelbach is on one street where they want. the Waymos to stop. >> To stop. >> It's almost every little cul-de-sac. around our area. So, I think it's a real. problem. >> Waymo after Waymo after Waymo into this. dead-end street usually early in the.
morning. >> I think yesterday morning we had 50 cars. that came through between 6:00 and 7:00. >> Neighbors on Battleview Drive started. seeing the autonomous driverless cars 2. months ago, but the groupings and large. number of Waymos just started circling. in and out in the last couple weeks. They even shared video with us when. neighbors used this little guy to put. him right out here in the street to. block the Waymos from getting into the. cul-de-sac and you can imagine what. happened next. >> we had at one point eight Waymos that. were stuck trying to figure out how to. turn around. >> The Waymos are empty and not picking.
anyone up. Parents are worried, not only. calling it excessive, but dangerous. >> We're families, we have small kids, we. have animals and pets. We've got kids. getting on the bus in in mornings and it. just doesn't feel safe to have that. traffic. >> Neighbors reached out to Waymo and have. not got a response. They've also. contacted their council member, representatives, and GDOT, and don't. know what to do. >> We would just like to see them stay on. main traffic roads. I don't think. there's any reason to be on small. residential cul-de-sacs if they're not. picking up. >> Oh, these things are losing their mind.
Make you SAY WAYMO. >> ESPECIALLY TO YOU, AJ. You've been a. big-time supporter of these Waymos, and. we've seen obviously the benefits of it, and the ability to get home without. having to necessarily have a driver if. you're drunk. Obviously getting in these. is good. If you're a sloppy drunk, you. can puke all over it, and there's no. driver there to be mad at you. >> Yeah. >> But this seems like quite a flaw, maybe. a glitch of some sort. They should be. able to change the map. This is at 2x. speed, by the way. This is not how fast. they're actually driving. Just so. everybody has that understood. But that.
the amount of cars that they had stuck. there whenever they put the the blocking. in, and they had to turn around, that's. insanity. This is what This is what you. think of, you know, when you think of. worst-case scenario. And uh I I don't. know how they stop Hopefully they stop. it, AJ. Hopefully this word gets out. >> Yeah, do we know is this like a glitch, or is somebody like hacking into the. system and messing with them? >> I don't know. >> No one knows, huh? >> Is there humans at Waymo? Like or is. Waymo just one big AI thing? >> Yeah, is there a CEO, or is it just a. motherboard that sends all these cars. out? >> Yeah, do we have to send different.
prompts to it to talk to it? Do we have. to learn its language? >> AJ, you going to rethink using them in. the future? >> Yeah, AJ, you know. >> No, I would use it. If they had them in. Ohio, I would use them. Trust me, these. guys are way safer than humans behind. the wheel. We all know that. >> Oh, really? >> These guys These guys. >> No one knows what's going on, AJ. >> These things. >> Google owns Waymo. Okay, so Google owns. Waymo. So that means it's attached to. Google Maps, obviously. >> Yeah. >> And Google sends So I assume they would. just have to redraw where they're. supposed to be going. But on that note, we'll never know cuz these things. operate by themselves. >> Get these clunkers off the road.
>> Yeah. >> If that was my neighborhood, I'd be. laying spike strips and IEDs to blow. these things to hell. >> Do they have a home where. Or. do they just find a bunch of cul-de-sacs. to keep going in circles until they get. their next call? >> Now, these things like to talk to each. other. Like they mingle at the end of. day. >> So, they have a home? >> I'm sure there's some sort of loading. station where they all go and suck each. other up. >> I, Robot? >> I have not seen I, Robot, but Leave the. World Behind, same thing. And they do probably suck each other up, but what if they're playing Pokémon Go?
What if it's a game to get to all the. ends? >> Maybe they just check boxes. >> I'm wondering what the hell's in that. neighborhood now. I want someone to go. through and clear some basements. >> They said it's a lot of different. cul-de-sacs in there. >> What if a couple guys got together and. they just keep summoning like summoning. them around? Like they Hey, we we got 20. of them today and you got a group of 10. dudes that think it's funny to do this. >> Those guys are [ __ ] hilarious. That. That's the funniest [ __ ] I've ever seen. >> If this is a human thing happening, we. will certainly have to take that into.
account. But if this is just these. robotic things kind of deciding that. they want to kind of do whatever they. want in our world, maybe it's time we. start taking a little bit more control. Maybe we Maybe we unplug these things. and let them know. >> Google's not answering. >> Slash a tire, maybe. >> Let them know. >> Let them what? >> What if it just boom, fix it? >> Oh, yeah. That doesn't. >> it just beeps to you. Beep beep. What if. it What if it just talks to you? >> Nice try, buddy. >> You need to watch I, Robot this weekend. It'll. put this in perspective. >> I don't think I'm going to do that. >> It's Will Smith. You love Will Smith.
>> I do love Will Smith. >> I did not kill him. >> That's That's so That's Will Smith. >> says that. >> From the movie, the robot. >> I did not kill him. >> a lot like. the concussion doctor with that if that. was Will Smith. >> Oh, okay. Sure. No, the the guy who says that actually. refused to be listed as an actor cuz. they wanted to be like, "No, it's a real. freaking robot.". >> Oh, I like that. >> Yeah. >> Man, he's got so many wild wild West. >> Wait a while. >> We know that's your favorite. >> Planet Earth. Also known as just uh Earth, I think.
What's the movie called again? >> You mean like with his kid and they land. on Earth? >> his kid and they land on Earth. >> Is he a karate kid? >> No, no, that's his kid. But no, there's. a Oh, Independence Day, yeah, we. referenced that the other day. There's a. movie where they go to Earth. >> Will Smith only has bangers. >> They're making a two of the one in New. York when all the zombies are there, but. he's not in. >> Am Legend 2. >> He's not in it. >> Hancock. I I mean, that's. >> Hitch. >> Oh, Hitch is one of the best of all. time. Hancock is my favorite. He had me. there for a bit. >> What worries a. >> The Legend of Bagger Vance.
>> So good. >> man one's really good. >> I'm happy we're doing this right now. Let Will know. He's We all know what was. potentially going on behind the scenes. there, right now. We all know a lot. more. >> Yeah, now he was dealing with a lot. >> Yeah, he was dealing with a lot. >> Come on, Will. Unless Will did something terrible we. don't know about. We'd like to be on the. record. Come on, Will. Thank you. Fresh. Prince let alone. >> Fresh Yeah, yeah. Come on now. >> So that was real when he slapped Chris. Rock, though? That was not a bit? >> fake. >> That was real? >> No, that was real. Chris Rock has now. talked about it enough where I think we. know it was real.
>> Yeah, I agree. >> Just so weird. What a weird situation. >> Yeah, I don't. I don't know how you get to that, but I. mean, maybe he was just fed up Maybe he. was just fed up and Kristen deserved. that. >> Aren't those two fighting at the Apex. soon? >> No, that's uh Manziel and Manti. >> Oh. >> No, it's tomorrow. >> Oh, is that at the Apex? >> Yeah. >> Yeah. >> It's not tomorrow, is it? >> Maybe that it I assume they're going to. sell tickets and have a lot of people in. the Apex pack it out to have what they. could. But if that was COVID Apex and we. got to just hear the little slaps, you. know, off of each other.
>> [ __ ] DUDE. >> THAT'D BE SICK. THEY SHOULD DO THAT. >> YEAH, YEAH. >> They should do that. >> What's the plastic policy ON THESE GUYS? >> I can't be, right? >> I can't be. >> Probably in the contract details. >> So one of them is an elite athlete. >> Yes. >> Okay, no matter what you think of him. >> And the other was a Heisman Trophy. winner, yeah. And the other won the Heisman. Think. about that. >> All right, I think that one's pretty. obvious what's going to happen there. We've all seen how that works. >> I'll watch it. Hey, I'll watch it. though. When is it happening? >> Uh.
>> I believe it's next Saturday and I think. they're doing fan-controlled fighting. So, they both stand there and then. people vote on like, "Hey, throw a jab.". >> Punch low, blow. >> Yeah, exactly. >> It's like Rock'em Sock'em Robots full of. humans. >> Exactly. >> actually They actually do attach him to. something. >> Uh-huh. >> And he'll just feel like a button hit. >> Yeah, boom. And then it's like, "Duck.". So, sometimes they duck into a punch. >> Oh, yeah. That's why I want to watch it. >> [ __ ] dog walk. >> they he feels another one and it's like. sensor sensor and he's like, >> Yeah. >> And that's how we do this thing. >> two, yeah.
>> It's You got to stand like this attached. to something. >> That's not a bad idea. >> Yeah. >> And the other person has to pull, drop, move. >> Unless they say, "Hey, lean forward.". And then all of a sudden they're just. feeding you a cut. Yeah. >> I don't know if that's going to be the. case. I think Are they boxing or. fighting? What is it? >> Boxing. Boxing, I think. >> Boxing, okay. If it was fighting, that's. an immediate Johnny Manziel tackle. Just. >> Sure. >> ragdoll somebody that has never had to. really utilize leverage before in real. life, you know. So, that's how that.
would change. >> I don't know though. Johnny's been. opening for Drake for a long time now. Like, is he going to be prepared? >> Iceman coming out the same week. >> Yeah. >> near the same time he's fighting, I. think it's good for Johnny Manziel. I I. I think this bodes well for Johnny. Manziel. A lot of people will be. watching. I mean, uh. >> Where is it? Where is it broadcast? >> ABC. >> ABC, yeah. >> 9:00. >> Okay. Is it Turico? >> I don't think it's on ABC. I don't know. where it is. >> I felt bad that I didn't know who it. was. It was Buck Aikman. >> But, I will be watching Johnny Manziel. And it could be Buck and Aikman, we.
don't know. Johnny, represent football, baby. >> Hell yeah. >> Come on, Johnny. >> Go get it done. >> Come on, Johnny. Need you out there. Uh. AJ, you know what's fun about football. as a whole? >> All of it. >> Yeah, well, people just so obsessed with. it that uh things can happen months and. months and months ahead of time. For. instance, every Friday of the football. season, we normally pick the entire. slate against the spread. Do you recall. this, AJ? >> I do, yes. >> Now that the schedule is officially out, let's go ahead and pick the entire week. one slate. The. Patriots will kick off the season in.
Seattle. Seattle three and a half point. favorites. AJ, who do you like? How do. you like it? >> Oh, Seattle's going to be riding off. that uh Super Bowl and the coach is. going to have them dialed in. Head down, they're going to be working. Give me. Seattle. >> I'll take Seattle as well. San. Francisco, LA in Australia, Thursday, 8:35. LA favored by two and a half. >> Now, Shanahan's bitching, right, about. traveling there? So, is that an. advantage for the Rams? They're like, this is just a business trip. >> No, and McVay last night on the schedule. uh primetime thing said they haven't.
figured out what they're doing yet, but. they do know that coming back is what. everybody says is the problem and they. have an extra day on the back end cuz. they're playing on Monday, I guess, afterwards. >> So, they are very thankful for that. Uh. uh um I think is how Sean McVay is. saying it, but they haven't figured out. exactly what they're doing yet. And I. will say, as somebody that's been down. under, >> Mhm. >> it is the way back that really gets you. I mean, it's going over there, you can. you can time it up. Coming back, you're. just [ __ ] It's just so [ __ ] for at. least four days. >> they retrofitted their plane with. Stafford's um.
red bed? They all laid in the red bed on. the way to and fro. >> Good idea. Good idea. Get me a mortal. lock. >> is. A mortal. >> Okay, so the Rams two and a half point. favorites in Australia. AJ, who wins the. down under bowl? >> Yeah, with all that being said, give me. the LA Rams here. >> I'll take the Rams as well. Saints-Lions. Lions favored by seven. Shaq coming into his second year. Kelly. Moa in his second year. A lot of people. like what the Saints have been doing. Kamara is seemingly very pumped and. excited to be there. >> also in that back field now. Jordan.
Tyson. Jordan Tyson with Olave, Jamaal I. I'm Don't sleep on the Saints now. I'm. not I'm not saying they're going to win, but seven points is a lot early on. >> Saints were kind of our darlings towards. the end of last year because they were. trying very hard. Lions favored by. seven. Wow, Foxy, how do you feel? >> Yeah, I don't know if you guys saw the. Lions schedule release last night, but. they didn't do any goofball [ __ ] It was. a 30-second video. MCDC printed out the. schedule, put it on the wall, straight. business. Lions win 49-14. Can't wait. >> Okay, I'll take the Saints plus seven.
AJ, who do you like? >> Saints plus seven all day. >> Okay, me and AJ seeing the same thing. This is all subject to change for how we. feel closer to the game. So, we're all. >> no, no. We need to lock these. right now. We are not picking it for. now. >> Okay, hey, hey, locked in for now. >> We've never picked them twice. This is. it. YOU GUYS BETTER ACT LIKE IT'S. SEPTEMBER TIME. >> BE TWICE. I DO want it to be twice, and. I don't want you guys to be told this. one. I wanted to see how much it. changes. >> Okay, you got it. For the vibe strictly, Ravens coming to Indianapolis. How you.
doing? 1:00 to kick this thing off. >> Danny Dimes is questionable. Wow. >> But. >> Just. >> potentially likely, too. >> Yeah. >> You know, we don't really know. I know. we do have a national game early in the. season. I guess we're all banking on. Danny Dimes being back, because if he's. not, it's obviously a different coach's. team. Ravens favored by three and a. half. Disgusting coming into the loud. house. Nobody even knows what these. teams will look like. AJ, who do you. like? How do you like it? >> Um I got to go with my instincts here. I. like the Colts at home plus three and a.
half. >> Me, too. You knew that, but Lamar. Jackson with Minshew going to. >> Who's the primetime game against? >> Chiefs. >> So, maybe it's more so like hey, let's remind everybody who's watching. worldwide like the Chiefs still got it. They beat the [ __ ] out of the Colts cuz. they don't know Danny Dimes is here. And. maybe it's more so like a get-back. primetime game. >> We're not we're not. >> You think they have a chance? >> jobbers for the [ __ ] Chiefs. >> Just something to think about. There's a. huge chance you are. >> We're not [ __ ] doing a job for the. Chiefs. >> Huge chance.
>> You getting mushed or what's it. >> The Indianapolis jobbers? >> Squashed. You're getting squashed. >> It's a squash match happening. >> It's a squash match. >> I'm sick of that. >> There's a chance that just hit me. >> Oh, I'm so proud of you. I'm happy it did. It that better not be. the case. >> That there's a huge chance that is. >> And maybe that's why whenever I was in. the NFL offices and I was like, "Can I. get a game?" They're like, "Well, let's. give them the money.". >> Yeah. Yeah, you can get one, sure. >> That's not the case though. They ain't. dumb as me, okay? Uh, Bears favored by. two and a half going in Carolina. That's. a good football team. >> That's a good football team. >> AJ, who do you like? How do you like it?
>> I'm going to take that good football. team plus two and a half at home. >> I'll take the Panthers as well. Give me the uh. >> I'm taking it on the fact that the Bears. are going to, you know, we know coach. likes to to work him in training camp. I. think it might take him a few weeks to. get those camp legs out, you know, to. get some fresh legs coming from camp. >> And the Panthers sent us a really cool. shirts. >> The Bears lost a lot of people, too. So, it might take a second to mesh. >> But, we all know Ben Johnson's an. incredible coach. But, the season's. long. >> Rome did Rome did really good at uh the.
little happy drawing thing. >> He did do a good job, Rome Odunze, for. their schedule reveal. >> Okay. >> DJ Moore, though, out. Their center, Drew Dalman, out. Like. >> I'll take the Panthers plus two and a. half as well, strictly because they sent. us a t-shirt and it's May 15th. Bills. favored by a point and a half against. Houston. Houston sent you some bloody. shoulder pads and guess what? That was. Cushing's blood that was on those pads. >> Had absolutely nothing to do with me, but I still loved it. Uh this is kind of. one of those weird lines as well, just. because Houston's returned basically. everybody they.
>> beat the [ __ ] out of the Bills in. Houston last year. >> Josh's like record in Houston is one of. those things everyone. look points at, like that that's a very. odd. >> It's a friend of the program uh game. here. AJ, who do you like? How do you. like it? >> I'm taking the Buffalo Bills strictly. off of how Tone reacted when Connor was. talking about. >> Can we do anything with Cushing's blood? >> I I wish you could try. >> Can we clone like a team? >> Wipe it off and drink it. >> That's what I mean, like would it. >> But, if we drink it, then we waste it. Can we multiply? >> That's what I mean.
>> It There was that his blood? I think his. blood would. >> I saw the video, it's his blood. >> It smells like his blood. >> Cush. Why did they send it to him? >> I heard they tried to get JJ for this, but he wouldn't do it. Too much money.
>> Yeah, he's bleeding from Burnley. already. >> Oh! >> That was pretty good. >> THAT WAS PRETTY GOOD. THAT was pretty solid. >> I will say I appreciate the fact that. Cushing did this. I appreciate that they. committed to the bit. I appreciate that. it continued to go on and on and on and. he got more bruised and more banged up. and more bloody. This is Cushing. football through and through and I. assume he did this method acting. >> Yeah. >> I I believe that was probably And at the. very end he's obviously all over. shoulder pads and then he. I don't know if it was AI or not, but. people are not happy about the usage of.
AI. I hate to break it to them, but. what's coming. >> Yeah, over the next couple of. >> I think it's Those are the shoulder. pads. Where are Did you have them? >> Yeah, they're somewhere. I'll get I I. see them. They're right there. >> No, we'll get We'll get them next week. >> Okay. I mean. why the [ __ ] did they send that to me? >> You know why? >> Why? >> Cuz what is doing your head right now. >> We're not playing. I realized that during the video. I was like, we don't even [ __ ] play.
this team. Why the [ __ ] are these shoulder pads? >> Maybe they thought you would like it cuz. you like old school football, but they. didn't know that you wanted Wembley. suspended for [ __ ] 2 weeks or. something. >> Don't you dare put that on me. >> You kind of were with it. >> Don't you [ __ ] dare. >> Just a fine. >> Don't you [ __ ] dare. >> That was. >> Oh, you're right. Right, you were. completely against it. >> Okay. Okay. I thought you were making my. chain. Yeah, I was going to say. >> This guy and the Canadian guy. >> I didn't say suspension. I just said a fine. You know I said a. fine. That was it. >> And Gumpy IS.
>> AND THE CANADIAN. >> YEAH, WELL, THE FINE. Fine was fair. Everybody gets fine. No suspension. >> Okay, so you like the Bills, AJ? >> Mhm. >> Yeah. >> Okay, I'll take. um. I'll take the Bills as well. Tampa Bay. Bengals, Bengals favored by three and a. half at home. But Kreischer was in. Baywatch with Baker Mayfield down there. for Tampa Bay. I respect and appreciate. Jason Light came on the program. They're. obviously giddy about Tampa Bay and. starting up there. Three and a half. points is too many for Tampa Bay and.
Bengals. What do you think, AJ? >> I tell you what, you guys remember we. got Sexy Dexy in Cincinnati. This will. be his first home game as a Bengal. It's. going to be awesome. Give me the Bengal. >> Okay, I'll take Tampa Bay and I love it. I just think close game. I think I think. three and a half is too many points. there. Uh Browns Jags, Jags with Trevor. Lawrence with a new do. >> No, don't do that. Don't do that. >> like that haircut would look good on. A.J. >> A.J., is that the haircut you would. choose? I guess you didn't now, but is. that one that if it was available?
>> Cuz they had similar hair and facial. features. >> think this is the one. No, Trevor has amazing hair and this is not. what they did to him. >> Looks like your son. >> So their their their entire thing is a. troll for people to think that they did. this to him. Is that the thing, right? That's the thing. I think it worked. >> It's got to be. >> Oh, it definitely worked. I guarantee. you he's got family members texting him. like, "Hey, love the new do.". >> Right there, scared to touch the hair. I. don't. >> Yeah, of course. I mean, come on now. That's not his real hair. That's a wig. that chopped it. >> I like that they worked us, though. They.
worked Connor for real. >> Come on. >> Connor, you got real emotional early. about it. >> I got I got worked in the sense that I. was pissed that people would get worked. by this work. >> Jags favored by seven at home against. the Cleveland Brownies. 10 quarterbacks. in, who's going to be the one? >> I'm going to go, you know, I'm going to. go out on a limb here and take the. Cleveland Browns plus seven. >> Okay, I'll take the Jacksonville Jaguars. favored by seven. >> Deshaun Watson has the starting. quarterback, right? This game. >> Yeah, I don't know. You tell me. >> You're taking him? >> I'm If I had to guess, I'm taking.
Deshaun this game. >> Okay. Uh it sounds like you've been on the. Deshaun Watson starting quarterback for. the Cleveland. >> saying the guy's been on the squad. He's. been saying he wants to play. He's been. saying he's rehabbing. He's still. getting paid. They're going to give him. an opportunity to be the start. >> Okay. So, maybe he comes out balling. Maybe the Jags will continue to evolve. I'll take the Jags favorite down there. in Duval. Pittsburgh Steelers hosting the Atlanta. Falcons. Good schedule releases for both. of these teams. We are lucky and honored. to be a part of the Pittsburgh Steelers.
one. Doug Gardell absolutely crushed it. And who was he with there? >> Uh that was Bill Crawford. Uh used to be. on uh WDVE, which is the local rock and. comedy station. Uh he did great. And. then Christian Kuntz was the long. snapper. He was teaching everybody uh. Pittsburghese, which he did as well. >> Yeah, I thought it was fantastic. I. thought it was really well done. Trying. to get every Pittsburghese word into a. bit has obviously been tried a lot of. different times. I think they did it in. a good way. I think I appreciated them. buying into all of it and everything. about Pittsburgh. And if you can get. Billy Gardell talking about Pittsburgh.
with his Yinzer accent, the coach. speaking Pittsburghese with Mike. McCarthy doing the same thing, I think. they did a great job. I appreciate how. much effort they put in. Now, some. people from Pittsburgh. say, "Yeah, yeah, over this is Why would. you do this? Why?" It's like, "Come on. People are just learning about [ __ ]. Yinzers literally within the last like. 10." I'm not saying that Pittsburgh. hasn't been respected, but the culture. and the community of Pittsburgh I think. has been on display a lot more over the. last 10 years. People are still falling. in love with everything about it. Yinzers, I know you Yinzers probably. tired of it or whatever, but like the.
world's still falling in love with. everything about it. I like what they. did. I appreciate us being involved. So, we're a little bit biased, but I also. like that they at least try to create. something. >> No, it was great. I mean, Big Mike. coming back and AJ knows how much he. talks and breathes Pittsburgh. Um and. then to do all the Yinzers, like that. was perfect. And the fries on everything. was I mean, it was great. >> We recorded 2 and 1/2 minutes. For that TV. >> right at the end you guys said there's. no way they use any of that. They're. they're going to drop that whole entire. thing. >> Whole and they certainly did. And they.
chopped the entire thing. And then as I. was watching it I was like, man I wish. we would have got more information on. what they needed us to do. You know, I I wish they would have cuz. it would have been you know a little bit. different but it was an honor to be a. part of it. We appreciate it. Just like. the Titans, we appreciate you with that. guy, handsome guy you said look like me. That's right. That guy had a lot of. pizzazz. I appreciate how much no comment that. guy said on whether I no comment but. Jesus. Shot of you. Okay, I I I appreciate. >> Compton guy was funny too.
>> Yeah, fantastic. Just the Jerry Jones UK. guy. Great way to end it. >> Fantastic. >> I'm from the UK though, I'm [ __ ]. All right, so that there's me, no. comment. Chase. >> Miles Garrett. >> Oh yeah, I mean I think. >> more That looks more like Miles Garrett. than your guy looks like Pat McAfee. >> Woah, I think that guy looks like me a. little bit. Joe Burrow. Love it. I I like the pizzazz. >> I like the pizzazz of and then putting. yeah, obviously. Yeah, I think it was.
>> They're great. >> And it was quick. >> Yeah. >> As opposed to everybody else's that was. like a movie. >> that they used Broadworth. They've used. it almost every year now. >> As they should. Steelers favored by. three. Who's going to be a quarterback? We don't know. >> We don't know. >> Who's going to be the quarterback for. the Falcons? Is it going to be Tua. or Michael Penix? >> Might be Matt Ryan. You saw him give. Kadin's last night. >> good. >> Yeah, that was awesome. That was good. bit. That was good bit for them. I'll. take the Steelers favored by three at. home. I think they are going to cover in. AccuSure to start off the the season. Go. ahead, AJ. >> Yeah, give me the Steelers at home for. sure. >> Jets at Titans, two teams that we think.
are much less ass than everybody else. seems to think. I think they're both. going to do well. Give me the Jets plus. three down in Tennessee. Uh I think it's going to be a one score. game. I'll take the Titans. AJ, who do. you like? How how like it? >> I I told you I I I think you should have. rode with it. I'm taking the Jets. I. think they figured something out this. year maybe. >> It's a revenge game for Big Dom Saleh. >> Yeah, true. >> Cam Ward, too. >> Yeah. >> Daboll, we think he's good, right?
>> Definitely, especially with young. quarterbacks, Cornell Tate, Wan'Dale. Robinson. >> We love the city of Nashville. >> Well, we we we mentioned you can't. >> Give me the Titans. Sorry, give me the. Titans. That's on me. >> Yeah, it's okay. Thank you. Yeah, I but. the reason why we're both thinking Jets. there is cuz they've been doing such. non-Jets stuff. You know, like they've been doing such. non-Jets stuff. >> better. >> That it kind of has shocked our systems. in here. We're going to have to see it. Like this is what every person on TV. always ends up saying about somebody. that we think is good that it maybe. hasn't won a championship yet. The. classic thing to be on TV to get you out.
of an argument is I I ain't see with my. eyes. I ain't see with my eyes. I've. gotten to the point as an old man on. television now, I guess, and on the. internet, where I'm going to have to see. it with the Jets before I I can believe. it. I used to naively buy in to hype. videos and signings. Aaron, certainly, when I was part of it. And Jets fans. told me I need to shut the [ __ ] up and. just know that it ain't going to happen. I would like to see it first. Titans, same thing. Jets have been like this. much longer. >> Titans and Raiders are both teams that. have no prime-time games but have spent. the most in free agency, and there has. been an actual correlation that the.
teams who spend the most in free agency. have increased their win total by like. four. So, it is hard to envision them. not getting better. >> Titans is minus three for both of us. Okay, let's go Commanders at. Philadelphia Eagles, 4:25 on Fox, NFC. East. Big Dom and Sirianni hosting. Dan. Quinn, Jaden Daniels. Jaden Daniels is. part of the new season of Quarterback. >> Yeah. >> Should be a good time. Can't wait to. catch up on that on Netflix. Uh Eagles favored by five and a half. hosting the PJ Championship right now.
Big Dom did a fantastic job. Uh Big Dom. actually sent a text saying "Grazie, boys.". >> Okay. Nice. >> Yeah, sent a text saying "Grazie." We. appreciate him doing that. AJ, who do. you like how do you like it as. Washington travels to Philly? >> Uh I think Philly, you know, home. opener, here we go. The place place is. going to be going crazy. Give me Philly. uh minus five and a half. >> I will take that as well, especially. with how much drama there's been. No AJ. Brown there, allegedly, was everybody. saying post-June 1 trade to the New. England Patriots. Potentially Packers, Vikings there 4:25 on CBS. Shout out to.
two massive NFC North rivals battling on. opening weekend. Jordan Love favored by. a point and a half over Kyler or JJ's. Minnesota Vikings. AJ, you're on the. Packers? >> Yeah, yeah. Give me the Packers here. >> Okay, sick. I'll take the Vikings. >> Ooh. No way. >> Who's that? I'll take. >> I don't know. I'll take the Packers. I. just saw Mike is back, right? >> Yeah. >> Mhm. >> Uh okay. >> should be. Yeah, questionable. >> I'll take the Green Bay Packers. Arizona. Cardinals, I'll take the Chargers. >> That's wild. 11 and a half. points.
I'll take the Chargers. >> All right. Dolphins, Raiders. Raiders. favored by three at home. >> Raiders. >> Me, too. Cowboys, Giants Sunday night. football. Cowboys favored by two and a. half in New York. The Giants will start. a multiple-week primetime kickoff to. John Harbaugh's career as the New York. Giants head coach. Bruce Brown, how do. you feel as we sit here on May 15th? >> Jackson Dart and Cam Skotabou light up. that Swiss cheese uh Cowboys defense, but eventually we lose a heartbreaker.
Uh some good news on the week two end of. the primetime back-to-back. The Rams got. to go from Australia to then take us on. on Monday night football. Um we have. three instances in our schedule of. playing a team after they play. internationally that is a nice reprieve. from last year's toughest schedule based. on previous season. >> Success. >> Yeah, got it. Yeah, we He's a Giants. guy. Okay, I like the spin. Last year we. had impossible schedule. >> Think about that. >> Impossible schedule. >> Nobody has won a playoff game with the. toughest schedule since 2016.
>> Well said. >> Well said. >> That's facts. >> What is the toughest schedule to the. year after success rate? Do you have. that number? >> I do not have it, but the Bears have. this year's toughest schedule. >> Oh. >> Uh-oh. >> Uh-oh. >> Uh-oh. >> Uh-oh. >> Uh-oh. >> Ben Johnson, Caleb Williams, is it. right? Is it Are they going to work out. actually? That's what's possible on May. 15th, 2026 when you start looking at. trends that don't actually have the. games being played. >> Iceman. >> And in Monday Night Football, we're. awaiting it. Broncos, Chiefs.
In the home. of. the. Chiefs. Favored by two and a half over. Bo Nix and Sean Payton. Patrick Mahomes. return, we think, we hope. Obviously, Monday Night Football is hoping for it. He is currently questionable, but we're. hoping. Hopefully. >> is what we're and hopeful is what we're. hoping for. AJ, who do you like on. Monday night? >> Patty Mahomes will be back. He will play. great. Give me the Chiefs.
>> All right. And I will take Travis Kelce. and the Chiefs as well. >> Mhm. >> What a week one we just had. >> Good luck all the teams. >> We'll remember these picks for sure. >> Wrote them all down. >> I know I will. >> All right. Let's get the hell out of here. >> Hell yeah. >> Boys in the back, great work. >> Good work, boys. >> Good work, boys. >> Good work, boys. >> Good work, boys. >> Behind the glass really did it this. week. >> boys. >> Oh, yeah. >> Little bit of chaos earlier in the week. >> Yeah. >> Sure. We dodged, ducked, dipped, dived, and. dodged our way through that.
>> Mhm. >> Shout out to the NFL allowing us to do a. show in here this week. >> Shout out, NFL. >> Shout out to New York City. >> Shout out to New York City. >> Big Apple. >> What a time. Shout out to Maria and Emilios. >> Yep. >> Appreciate them doing that. Good odds. Good odds. >> Shraegs. >> Shraegs, King of New York. New York. Burke, great job. Jimmy, Josh, fantastic. stuff. Miss Rita, up front show, really. good. To the Dancing with the Stars crew. Hell yeah. >> Hell yeah. >> Hell yeah. >> All glowing. Just having the time of. their life. Just young people seemingly.
having the time of their lives. Good for. them. Robert Irwin, actual magnet. >> Actual magnet when he shows up. It's. incredible. American Horror Story, great. job. John Leguizamo, [ __ ] yeah. >> Yeah. The man. >> [ __ ]. Yeah. And I'm a fossil getting a big. time. >> Fossil boss. >> That's what they say, right? Fossil. boss. >> He was honestly Foss did a good job in. that commercial. >> He did. >> So have a great He's a good actor. >> Yeah. Yeah. >> And also Howson.
>> Oh, I mean, we know. >> Goat. >> He is. elite. >> Fossil boss, that's what they say. And a promotion gets announced, it's. like almost like Howson knew. >> It's like he un-cursed him. >> Certainly did. Congrats, Foss.
