The Pat McAfee Show Live | Friday June 19th 2026
[music]. [ __ ]. Hey, who. [laughter]. Oh yeah.
[music]. We are [music]. For real? Oh no.
[screaming]. [groaning]. Let's go. [ __ ]. made us.
today. [music]. >> [music]. >> The running.
in Berkeley, California. >> You got it. [music]. >> [cheering]. >> This one's for free. AJ Hawk. $5,000.
HEY, [music] HEY, HEY. [music]. You make me want my hands up. My hands. up all the days now. [music].
>> [music]. [music]. >> USA.
USA. You. [music]. come on in. Oh my god. [cheering]. [music].
A. a up a. [music].
>> [music]. [cheering]. [music]. >> The following program is a collection of. students talking about happenings in the. sports world. It is meant to be comedic, informative. The opinions expressed on. this show do not necessarily reflect the.
beliefs of their peers, their boss, or. ESPN. There may be some cuss words. because that's how humans into the real. world talk. If you are a young, please. seek permission before watching any. further. >> Hey, what? >> Let's go. >> This show stinks. And the fact that you. listen, we are very, very thankful. >> McAfee on the line with a gorgeous. assist. >> The alltime [music] leading tackler for.
the Green Bay Packers. You. >> stop. Damn it. >> Your friend, tell a friend something. nice could change their life. Hello [music] beautiful people and. welcome to our humble the boat the draft. kings thunderdome on [music] this. feelgood football Friday June 10th this. sports program begins now. sports. >> are the absolute greatest and we're.
seeing the entire country come together. and rally around a soccer team that is. battling for the world's title of the. world cup champion Now, Team USA. obviously kicked it off in a big way. against Paraguay in LA. And now in. Seattle today, 3:00 Eastern, we will. take on the Soccer Roos from down under. as the boys who'll be dawning the. stripes and the stars will be trying to. prove that the game against Paraguay was. not an anomaly. That was not a one-off. What that was was an indicator of where.
soccer is in the United States of. America, which is at an elite level, which might win the whole damn thing. Now, Australia, there were some people. saying they were ass. >> Mhm. >> Michael Grella, friend of the program, friend of ours obviously for a very long. time, will be joining us here in about. 15 20 minutes. He has come out very. publicly and said Australia's shite. Basically, Australia has responded to. Grella, which has kind of lifted the uh. sense of tension for this particular. game. But the boys on the pitch. understand that their first games, Australia against Turkey and us against. Paraguay, were something that not a lot.
of people expected. And who knows what. can happen. What we're hoping happens, USA wins by 10. >> Easy. >> We hope this is 10 nothing. Is that. likely? We have no idea. Soccer's been. crazy. Canada scored six yesterday. >> Crazy. Canada scored six goals. yesterday. And then you go to the Mexico. Korea game and there's only one goal. scored and it was kind of because of a a. goalie mistake. You have no idea if the. score is going to go high. You have no. idea if there's going to be no score. You have no idea if it's going to be a. draw. But what you do know is that this. World Cup has been delivering. I'm. watching countries I didn't even know. exist.
>> Yeah, exactly. It's right there uh off the coast of uh. >> Sagal. >> Boom. Right off of Sagal down there. Beautiful. It looks like it appears to. be an absolutely beautiful place. Also, they got a soccer team that's competing. for the World Cup and all of a sudden. we're starting to see the world come. together a little bit. So today, as USA. takes on Australia and Seattle, we will. be celebrating the hell out of sports as. a whole, maybe making the world a much. better place. Now on that note since we. are a draft kings partner which we are. very thankful for and lucky to be a part. of uh there is a special today that we.
need you to understand about ladies and. gentlemen it's America game two. guarantee. Now this is not normal for. sportsbook uh platforms at this stage of. sports gambling. Okay this used to be. the move at the beginning of sports. gambling becoming legal in a bunch of. different states. These sports books. platforms would say hey listen every. five people that bet on this side will. add a point to the spread. The spread. gets up to plus a thousand. this is a. must a guarantee win basically just. trying to get people over there like hey. come experience our experience so now.
that they are basically saying hey. you're either going to win your bet. whenever you're riding with the United. States of America and if they draw or if. they lose you'll get your money back in. free bets okay that you can use bonus. bets whenever you're going forward now. you can't cash those out obviously but. you can win and then cash that out so. it's a guarantee that your money will be. able to be used again if you lose or. draw but if we win you're getting a ride. with the entire country come join us at. DraftKings if you're 21 plus and want to. do us responsibly and they have limits. obviously on how much you can bet but. this feels like a fun time for a team. ride. The talks with Ted was here at. Boston Connor and at Ty Schmidt. Both.
you lads wearing uh American flag stuff. Obviously it does feel like we really. have the fever and today it comes to a. pitch maybe. Ty Schmidt. >> Yeah, without a doubt. I never thought I. would say this. Never thought I'd care. this much. The first thing I did when I. woke up this morning, I said, "My god, it's football day." And I said it just. like that. And usually, you know, even. past World Cups, you know, you watch it. Sure. Hey, go USA. I I'll gladly get. behind the team and act like an [ __ ]. and act like we can win the whole thing. knowing full well that we just don't. have the quality on our side to go out.
and do it. It's different this year. It. really does. And and now I'm just. praying I'm praying that with all this. momentum, all this juice behind us, the. boys go out, the lads go out and they. beat the hell out of Australia because. we're at a fever pitch right now. If. they go out and they win big today, like. it is it's it's not coming home. It's. stay in M. And I I truly believe that. Uh this is the most excited I've ever. been for a soccer game in my life. Maybe. will be the most excited I will ever be.
for a soccer game. >> If it doesn't go great, there's a chance. that this is the last time you feel. this. And I just want to let you know, >> although DraftKings has given a. guarantee, hey, listen, you're 21 plus. and you want to opt in and apply the. token. You could certainly be a part of. the if America wins, you win. If they. draw or lose, you get your money back in. bonus bets. That's available right now. up until the game on DraftKings. You can. come join us responsibly, obviously. take care of yourself, don't be an. [ __ ] and be of age in this entire. thing. But if they win like we think. they should where Ponchettino we know is. a little bit of an accountability driven. coach, it's like I don't think the boys. are going to take the foot off gas. pedal. I think we're only getting.
started in this entire ride, Connor, which is almost the most exciting part. of it all. >> Yeah, it's not a guarantee, but I'm. going to go ahead and guarantee an. America win. I I don't think there's any. doubt that in my mind, you know, >> just like in 1776, people forget July. 4th. That was nowhere near the end of. that thing. >> No, we were forecasting ahead that we're. about to come out. Have we been perfect? Absolutely not. Which leads to a great. conversation about today. >> Yeah. >> One half of the hammer. >> Cowboys AP Tone and I. >> educators tone. Go ahead. >> He he grew up right up the street from.
me. Same school district. So we. obviously knew about this. >> We're all Mustangs here. >> Our entire lives. >> Yes, we are. >> Me and Tone knew this. But it is as of. the last couple years really where other. not us but other people are starting to. learn of the significance of June 19th. as a day in America's history. And we uh. we pointed out something special on St. Patrick's Day actually. So if we could. go and take a trip back in time to St. Patrick's Day, we'd like to illustrate.
how we led to today's celebration of a. great day in America's history. By the. way, obviously not everything has ever. been perfect, but Junth a holiday I. think that a lot of you, not me in town, cuz where we grew up, we learned about. this. >> Sure, >> as we were little kids. >> Mhm. >> Maybe that's not true. Maybe more people. need to learn about it. But let's go to. St. Patrick's Day, shall we? Nine-year. NFL vet. Happy St. Patty's Deb. [applause and cheering]. >> Hell yeah. >> Happy St. Patty's Day. >> Happy St. Patty's to you. >> Have you done a 23 and me just to see if. you have any? >> Uh, no, I didn't, but I did. I did buy.
[clears throat] INTO THE GAME. SO, I'M. IN GREEN. >> I'm in. I'm in black room. So, you know, June 19th, you boys better be in, too. So, uh, we're all. >> I'm wearing black. >> I think I think this bloodline's pretty. [laughter]. >> You got some Irish in. >> I think I can tell a little Irish in Dar. Butler joining us here today. Love. everything about it. Ladies and. gentlemen, non-ear NFL vet Darius J. Butler. [cheering]. >> Steve Bucks. Huge day. Everybody in here. was wearing black at the beginning. I I. think there was an attempt obviously.
made to celebrate the hell out of June. 19th and Junth here. Uh your thoughts on. the magical uh kind of unveiling of this. story kind of being introduced to the. United States of America over the last. few years. I think it has been a good. thing and also I think it's a beautiful. thing that we have a team USA game. riding on the same exact day as all of. this. >> Yeah. Uh unlike you and Tone, um I I I. wasn't really aware of Junth even as a. kid growing up. I obviously knew the. history in this country. We knew about. the Emancipation Proclamation which took.
place on the 1st in 1863, January 1st, Abraham Lincoln gave that, but it wasn't. until two years later until 1865 where. the last enslaved people in Texas, over. 250,000 people were actually freed once. the general rode up there and kind of, you know, let them know, hey, this is. what's going on here. So now we. celebrate and we know we're aware. And a. lot of people know, uh, July 4th, 1776. for black people, for descendants of. slaves, we weren't free. So this is our. independence day essentially. So Junth. is very very important. Um I'm glad that.
it's come more to the light as of late. It's now a federal holiday back in June. uh 2021 believe federal holiday. It's. awesome that you learn about it. Obviously we're not still in that place. We've come a long way. But it's. important to know the history the. history of the people around you. And. look we have like a locker room like a. family vibe here. So I wouldn't suggest. just all white people just going to hey. happy Junth. We thought maybe that should become the. whole. >> depending on your your relationships. with your your your your people around. you. Um you know just navigate that. wisely. But um that was the first thing.
said to me this morning upon arrival. popping the trunk going through my [ __ ]. make sure I got all my [ __ ] and hey. so uh yeah so I made sure I shot that. back but yeah it's a dope day obviously. to celebrate and uh going forward like. you said it is um you know the 250th um. celebration of the country and we got. the World Cup. So, you know what sports. it does? [ __ ] That's how me and you got. together. We've known each other for. over, you know, 12, 13 years at this. point. So, it's awesome day and I'm glad. that um people are more educated, you. know, thought about [ __ ] calling off.
today. Why the [ __ ] am I working? >> Listen, a lot of people ask me why. question that video. A lot of people are. saying, "Go get his bag." IT'S LIKE, "HOLD ON NOW." OKAY. I'm from. Pittsburgh. If we could uh at least have. that conversation, >> I say use a platform to to educate, inform, and obviously celebrate um. sports. But yeah, today today's a great. day and a great celebration for for. Americans, especially uh black Americans. and slaves. >> As somebody who and this is a hilarious. thing to say. Uh and uh anytime a [ __ ]. caucasoid says it, it is classic. But as.
somebody who has actually has black. friends, I would like to say uh I'm very. thankful for kind of sport bringing. everybody together, whatever brings. everybody together. And also I. appreciate the fact that we're getting. another day to celebrate a lot. I mean, black folks make up a huge part of uh. sports world and if we can celebrate the. actual day that uh somebody say, "Hey, listen, this [ __ ] ain't happening. anymore." Beautiful thing. I love. everything about learning about Junth. and I like what sports is doing here in. the United States of America. The World. Cup clips that just continue to come out. from fans experiencing things and these.
stadiums being packed with people from. so many different religions in so many. different uh countries obviously and. cultures and socioeconomic. It's just. sports are a wonderful thing. So, I'm. happy it's all being celebrated right. now in the middle of summer and there's. a chance the United States are going to. win it all. Another incredible sporting. event is taking place. The third major. of the golf season is taking uh at. Shinock uh Long Island Hampton's New. York. >> live boots on the ground. Incredibly. pumped to be talking to us every time he.
gets a chance to talk to us. He's the. best writer I think ESPN has. He covers. college sports, golf, and anything. that's got uh, you know, a bit of wealth. around it. Ladies and gentlemen, Mark. Schlaw. >> How you doing, Schlaba? >> Uh, Windham Clark has a five shot. Has. he down to four? >> Yes. And 300. >> Four. He's down to four. Four. Oh, yeah. >> Okay. So, tell me about Windham Clark. Everybody's pissed off that he didn't. have to play with the wind. like he was. the one that scheduled the wind and his.
tea time, but obviously there was others. that were playing at relatively same. time as him. He was taking advantage of. the situation. What is the conversation. around Windham Clark and then is he. going to have to face any of the super. stiff wind that maybe the earlier rounds. yesterday had to face? >> Uh the wind started to pick up, but he's. on hole 15 right now. I mean, this is a. guy that went from smashing lockers at. Oakmont to potentially smashing records. here at Shikok this week. the largest 36. hole lead in the US Open history. Pat is.
uh sixth by Tiger back in 2000 at Pebble. Beach and Rory did it at 2011 at. Congressional, but you know, he's a guy. that wanted US Open back at LA Country. Club a few years ago. He really. struggled for more than a year with a. with a with a double miss off the tea. Um but won the Byron Nelson a couple. weeks ago, CJ Cup at the Byron Nelson. Finished well at the Memorial. Dude's. got a ton of talent. Obviously, he's had. a temper problem over the years. I. talked to him about it. Did a couple big. stories about controlling his anger.
He's got a really good mental coach. that's helping him now. Dude's ultra. talented. He's got a couple of huge. breaks on 13. He drove it left into the. native area, knocked it on the green, made birdie. Next hole, hits it right. Gets a good lie. Uh he's catching a lot. of breaks early. >> Okay. So, I like that. Maybe Shinik is. picking him to maybe win this year wide. wire so he can move on past the Oakmont. situation last year. You obviously wrote. about it a couple times. Tone Diggs. here, Mark, I don't know if you know. this, he was actually a caddy for one.
summer at Oakmont and he felt obligated. uh the other day when Windham joined us. just a few days before a major. Thank. you to him for joining us. Tone goes, "Hey [ __ ] I cattied at Oakmont. I. don't like what you did to our locker. room." and Windham was like basically. saying that he hopes this year he's able. to play well enough that all that is. behind him. He's seemingly doing as. such. Is there a um Windam Clark is he a. little bit of a polarizing figure in. golf in general? Is that a good way to. talk about him? Because he was cool to. us and I think he acknowledged a little.
bit that he might not be loved by. everybody a couple different times in. the convo. >> I'm uh I'm happy to know there's some. serious journalism going on in the Pat. McAfee show. That's that's a hell of a. question. >> Thank you, Mark. Tell me about this one. right here. What's that? What What is. that? What letter is that? >> It's a J. >> [ __ ] right. >> J. [laughter]. >> That's a 6 foot one J right there. >> Big boy. Big boy journalism. >> Thank you. >> Uh, thank you. >> Look, he's he's a polarizing guy. Um, you know, he's always been good to me. I've had a couple one-on- ones with him.
Um, you know, backstory. Mom died. I. think she was kind of the filter between. him and his father. He was a little. hands-on when he was growing up in terms. of the golf. and he had to learn how to. to filter that anger and the and the. Julie I can't remember the last name is. swing coach mental coach has helped him. but with what happened at Oakmont and he. destroyed a sign I think in Charlotte. last year he's a polarizing guy but but. no question he's he's got a lot of. talent. >> it's amazing what winning a couple.
tournaments can do though for being. polarizing and being destructive as. opposed to being passionate and. obviously intense you know it's all in. how it ends up working out for you how. Nean getting a two-stroke penalty. allegedly here. You would know better. than us, but no cameras caught it. I. guess walking Neman of uh Liv live golf. fame. He was assessed a two-stroke. penalty for Potton. Is that what I. didn't know that happens cuz I've seen a. lot of golfers get pissed. That. seemingly is going to be a story or not. a story at all over there. >> No, it's a story. It happened. It.
actually happened Thursday night right. as he was trying to to finish a hole. number six on the on the on the in the. first round. He hit two drives out of. bounds. Had to go back to the tea and. then he he rips one to the left in the. native area. He wanted relief from fire. ants. I I did not know the fire ants. were so deadly up here in Long Island. But um he he asked for relief. He didn't. get it. Threw his club, kicked the. little white flag that the volunteer had. placed to to to locate his ball. It ends.
up making a nine. And then uh uh when he. teed off in the second round this. morning, USGAA announced that he'd been. penalized two strokes. >> For we'll call it conduct on becoming of. a professional golfer. >> U to his credit, he ended up making I. think he shot 78 in the first round. He. made a couple early birdies, but I think. he's about six over right now. I hadn't. looked in the last few minutes, but uh. that's it could end up costing him. The. live golfers end up getting hot later, you know, because they're used to. playing the the long weekend.
>> Hot dust. >> Rombo just dropped a massive uh f word. >> Yeah, he did. >> He dropped a massive f word off of. missing a putt. It was beautiful. >> Maybe Neon wasn't pot. Maybe he was. getting bit up by the fire ants. I. didn't know that part of it. >> Yeah, I didn't know he was potentially. being attacked by a local. >> Tough it out. >> Ants in his pants and his shoes. potentially. That's where it really gets. bad when it's down there in your toes. Those fire ants will really get you. You. lay down on something accidentally, maybe by a pool or something. What that? How am I supposed to putt with this. going on? Wian says little bastards.
>> Damn. >> Windom. Wind them hitting out of the. trample native area again. >> He's been there all day. >> He'll probably knock it to 3 ft. >> Yeah. Tell us what happens, Mark. We're. not able to watch right now. >> Play up onto the green about 15 yards 15. ft to the right. >> Okay, I like that. It's good. Hey, another long one. >> Maybe get into playbyplay. Mark, you're. a writer. You're obviously a pundit. You're an analysis guy. I I think you're. really starting to break it down. The. one thing you're not good at picks. Go. ahead, Con man. >> Yeah, Mark. A couple days ago you said,
you know what, this is Scotty's time and. my long shot's going to be Russ Henley. So, naturally, I sprinted to draft Kings. and said, you know what? If Schlawach is. telling me Scotty's going to win and. Henley might be the long shot, I'm going. to go ahead and ride with Schlawach. Turns out you completely screwed me. Scotty sucks right now. And Henley's. nowhere to be found, too. What the hell. happened? What is going on with those. two guys? Can we expect some sort of. move from Scotty or is the wind just. following him and it's going to pick up. this afternoon when he tees off? You son. of a [ __ ].
>> Yeah, I apologize. I'm in a seasonl long. pool with like 35 other guys in the. majors. One of them's Mike Mills from. name dropping the second greatest rock. and roll band of all time, but he's ab. I'm like in the next to last place right. now thanks to Russ Henley, >> right? >> And uh Tyrell Hatton. Tyrell Hatton. >> He's Tyr when he's playing well. is. Tyrell when he plays bad. He's Tyrell. this week. Um but uh no I watched Scotty. out on the range the video y'all were. showing yesterday struggling with the.
grip. I I said he's he's got to get the. the irons dialed in a little bit but um. he he hasn't done it. Um swing seems to. be a little steep according to the guys. who know more about swings than I do and. he got into it a little bit with Randy. Smith but uh a lot of golf left. He'll. still make a run. Uh, I went with Henley. for low dog of the week. >> Turns out it's going to be the. left-hander, Brian Harmon, uh, who won. the open a couple years ago. He's he's. in the best position. I didn't pick him. this week cuz I caught him last Monday. and he was on a fishing boat trying to. catch start poop. Didn't know where the.
mind was. >> Yeah, he was free. IF YOU'RE THAT FREE, IF YOU'RE THAT free before a major and. you're that young, I think your mind is. in a good spot. You know, it's the. person that's maybe gripping one real. tight up on the range that we don't want. to see. I don't like this about Scotty. >> or Schlawach that he's telling us that. something's going to happen that he just. completely screws us. >> Agreed on that because that's under. precedent setting all of a sudden. Now. we're gonna have to judge him off of. that. So whenever he comes on and goes. Scotty can't swing a damn golf club and. then everything else you do, we it's. going to be hard for us to take you guys. serious whenever you're just wrong about.
all this stuff. >> Damn it. >> I told you I told you like the third. time I was on here, I'm not great at. picking them. I mean, there's60. guys in the field. This isn't like. [laughter] trying to trying to pick West. Virginia or North Carolina in baseball. or Georgia and Oklahoma in baseball. I. mean, it's it's tough. >> By the way, it did not work out good for. us, either of us. >> No, dude. Oklahoma's winning everything. >> Hey, final four. I don't know. Oklahoma might look better. because the uh run differential, right? But West Virginia put up six in like the.
eighth or seventh or eighth or something. like that. It was like 12-1, I think, at. one point. But once again, West Virginia. never stops. But it's like the UNCC team. I don't know I don't know anything about. college baseball actually. That is. noted. All I know is what I saw this. year. That UNCC team, they look the. part, you know, like getting off the bus. like that. That was a team getting off. the bus. It's like, yeah, that that's a. professional baseball outfit right. there. West Virginia boys, we got studs. obviously all over the place. And I. can't wait to see what Steve Sabins does. with the team, but it's like I think.
Oklahoma team's the same, right? And. aren't they kind of. >> home runs in their last game? >> Red hot. redot fire. That's as close as. you guys have been. I mean, other than. your 21 rifle national championships, which I would expect nothing less from a. state that had Hadfield and McCoy. Um, >> well, that's another state as well if. you want to get Kentucky involved here. Okay. >> Okay. Sorry. >> Yeah. [laughter]. Right. Right. Right. Right across the. mountains. Excuse me. Um, >> thank you. Thank you. >> Uh, >> yeah. Close. >> That's as close as close as you guys.
have been probably since what? Pit pit. snoggle. >> Was he there before you? Because I I. covered that u pit. >> big 12 champs in basketball. >> Yeah, >> I was. In fact, I I tried to find it the. other day, the year you were there with. Pat White and Steve Sllayton and null. Devon and all those other dudes. I came. to the Yukon game next to the last game. of the year and and wrote, "Hand hand. West Virginia the trophy. It's over.". >> And then we know what happened the next. night of my life. Sean, thank you. had.
the worst first quarter of my life. I'll. never ever forget it. Never ever forget. it. But on that note, >> Mark, [ __ ] you. >> Yeah, he did. Holy [ __ ] The only game. he ever went to. >> Holy [ __ ]. >> Okay, it's all starting to come together. now. I'm happy. Okay, I will not listen. to anything. >> Was that Did y'all play Did y'all play. in the Y'all played in the Sugar Bowl. that year? Is that right? Or they moved. the Sugar Bowl to Atlanta? >> Yeah, we beat the hell out of beat the. hell out of Georgia. >> Yeah, beat the hell out of Georgia. >> I'd gone I went to the um Gator Bowl. that day and was going to fly back to. Atlanta and do two games in one day. Wow.
>> That was the the day Marcus Vic stomped. Elvis Dumberville's calf during the. Gator Bowl. >> Oh. >> Um, those are when I got back to Big. East. That was big, too. >> Yeah, absolutely. >> Yeah, we. >> But uh get back get back to Atlanta. airport, turn on the radio, and Larry. Mson says, "West Virginia's up 21. nothing." Appointed the truck back home. and said, "Nope." [laughter]. >> What was the final score of that game? Do you remember? >> A route. It was a route. >> Yeah. >> That was the year it got moved to. Atlanta because of Katrina. Correct. >> Yeah. And it was really nice that we.
took on Georgia. That's cool. >> Sweet. Move it over to Atlanta and we're. taking on Georgia. And we were all. freshman. That was our freshman year. basically. Pat was a freshman. Steve was. a freshman. I was a freshman. Owen. Schmidt was an older guy. Uh we had the. older crew. >> Pullback. Freshman. >> Yeah, we're freshman. >> Oh, he was a stud. That was a hell of a. team. No. Devon could fly. >> Yeah, dude. We No. No. Devon wasn't. there then. Georgia Sugar. >> Oh, ended up being close. Yeah, receiver. >> Yeah, we won by three. I remember that.
Yeah, there's a freshman on that team. Yeah, nobody ever [ __ ] brings that. up. >> Sorry to bring up bad memories back. >> Everybody brings up the other one. Nobody brings up that one. >> That was a good That was a good memory. >> It was, but then it just got stomped on. It's gone forever. Anyways, we beat the. [ __ ] out of Georgia that day. >> Go dogs. He's damn good dog. Got a lot of damn. good dogs down there. Uh none of the. golfers that you told us were going to. be good, but [laughter] uh none of the. golfers that we all thought were. potentially going to be good are up. there. Windham Clark is kind of out of. nowhere. Tone has a question for you, Mark. >> Yeah, Mark, I do. Obviously, Windham. seven under, four shot lead. Xander's.
four under the day though. Five under is. Colin Morawa. They're in second and. third right now, but the the leaderboard. is stacked. You go down Matt. Fitzpatrick, Justin Rose, Rory Mroy, Oberg, Harmon, as you mentioned. Um JT's. top 15, Fleetwood's top 15, Rom's top. 15. Like there's guys that can go low. Um, do we think like of those guys that. have won major championships and guys. that are obviously in the top 10 in the. PGA? Um, do we think any of them can go. get them? Is Windham a guy that that.
could let this shrink away come the. weekend? >> Yeah, I mean, he's been, like I said, he's been on a heater, but it's, you. know, we ain't got the halfway point, so. there's a lot of golf to be played. I. think I think the USGA's got to tighten. the screws here over the last 36 holes. Um they did what they had to do. yesterday in terms of probably the. easiest setup they could have out here. just because you know the wind forecast. they did not anticipate the uh fog in. the morning and that that made the. greens pretty soft but they went a.
little more aggressive today. The winds. picked up but it's not supposed to be. nearly as bad as it was yesterday guys. number 11, the par three that that uh. Levig over called the the shortest par. five in the history of golf. Uh is. playing 156 and I think there's been. four birdies on it. Watch DJT off and. his T-shot was like 25 yards short into. a bunker. So like I said, a lot left to. play. Um you guys left off William Mau. who's uh tied for 14th.
>> Yeah. Yeah. Sorry. >> At two under. He uh is the son of a. chicken farmer in Chino, California. Billy's Egg Farm. Uh he was up tied for. second, but uh finally cracked in his uh. second major championship. Well done. >> Cracked. Yeah, I like what we're doing. Got to see how I went there. >> Yeah, I [laughter] do appreciate the old. writer in you. You know, you have to do. it. Yeah, you got to do it. Got to keep. these eyes active. Got to keep the. readers, you know, guessing on where. we're headed. I appreciate the good uh. egg pun. The leaderboard looks like a.
little bit of nostalgia on what the PGA. could look like in the weekends, right? Because the big guys aren't up there, but all the others are and there's four. Liv guys in there obviously with the. middle of the pack or the the right. below second tier of the PGA with the. dogs from Liv. This is what everybody, you know, has been saying has been. missing from the last what four years of. this entire uh experiment with Liv. So, I think the the major the US Open this. weekend is going to deliver for us. A. lot of big names running. That's. whenever the leaderboard is good to. watch on the weekend, pal.
>> Yeah, I wish I wish DJ was right up. there and then he went I think he went. bogey double double bogey. Maybe he uh. >> you know, he hadn't shown up. He hadn't. shown up in the last couple years in in. the majors, but he's still got a ton of. talent. I like DJ because the weekend. before the Masters about 10 years ago, he'd show up at my club and play in a. tournament the weekend before the. Masters and just hang out with the. dudes. I mean, it was nuts. The guy's. super talented. >> Yeah, super talented. Also throughout. the entire live thing, never lied about. any of it. No, just kind of a super.
transparent. >> Yeah. Listen, man. I got. >> when uh when and when when and if Liv. folds, not when or if when, not if. Um. >> you know, I when they sit down and. decide who's coming back and who's not. DJ may be the guy where they say, you. know what, it's DJ. He can come back. tomorrow. Just because everybody loves. DJ. DJ never said anything bad. He. didn't sue anybody. Um, I just don't. know how much he still wants to play, but obviously he's still got something. in the tank. >> More money, less work.
>> Yep. >> Who in America? >> I'm that kind of house. >> American dream. >> He said, "I'm at peace, man. My family, I enjoy my family. Everything's good.". And everybody was like, "All right, good. for him." And then the next guy would go. like, "The money was good, but I want to. change golf. [ __ ] this guy.". >> Yep. [laughter]. >> Okay. Yeah. We don't exactly want to. grow the game. Want to change the game. Shut up. You need to shut your mouth. Okay. DJ's like, "I just took the money, bro. I don't know. We're a golfer to. golf at." I don't know. >> Less work, more money. What do you want. me to do? >> Okay. All right. Yeah. I'm golfing in. Middle East. I'm golfing in Australia. You got it. Sweet. How many times? Half.
the times. How much more money? 10 times. more money. >> Done deal. >> Fine. I'll do it. >> Bryson Bryson's uh Bryson's got a little. work to do, too. The cut's going to be. right around three or probably three and. four. >> On that note, on that note, Tai has a. question for you, Mark. >> Yeah. Speaking of Bryson, Mark, uh, what. I mean, you talk about guys, you know, potentially when Liv folds if they'll be. coming back. It seems like anytime. someone asks him about it, he kind of. has to put his foot in his mouth. He's, you know, maybe he just wants to go play.
on YouTube or do whatever he's going to. do. But coming into the tournament, he. was still top 10 in terms of the odds of. who could win this thing. And he, you. know, he started pretty solid yesterday. and then, you know, this morning you're. looking at it and he's he's four over. I. don't know what he is right now. Yeah. Five over now. Like what is this kind of. like a a big pivot point for Bryson's? I. mean, if he does miss this cut, you. know, like what what is next for Bryson? What what should we expect out of him? >> Be the first time in his career he's. missed the cut in three straight majors. After the round yesterday, he shot 70.
last night. Boogie the last hole to. shoot even par, but said he was going to. go home and drink some chocolate milk. Obviously good for the bones. Apparently. not good for the swings because he's had. a. >> he's had a he's had a rough day today. But uh no, you talked to to people. around the PGA Tour, you know, he's the. most polarizing probably in terms of. whether or not they're going to let him. come back. I think there's definitely. going to be a big penalty. Um there I. was told there are guys in the PJ tour. locker room that have memorized.
everything negative he's said about the. PGA Tour over the last four or five. years. So there's obviously a ton of. scar tissue when it comes to Bryson. He's a huge name, >> soft, >> he's massively popular among the kids. Um, but he may be making YouTube videos. for a while. >> before he can come back on the PJ tour. >> They got good ideas because he can hit. the ball so far, you see. So, like he's. a really good golfer. Great for YouTube. golfing. >> It's fun watching him go to just some. local MUN and just try to. >> score a 22.
>> Yeah, exactly. [laughter]. Fun to watch. >> Kind of fun watching him shoot 80, too. >> Yeah, in the majors. >> In the majors. Yeah. >> Yeah. Not bad. It's kind of fun to watch. him, you know, chip it over his house. >> Yeah. And it's kind of fun to watch him. just get so pissed off out there. Dshambo is Dshamro to kind of watch on. TV, I think. And. >> the PGA people hating him makes sense on. why he's so bad at the majors, maybe. because he doesn't like all the vibes. >> You feel comfortable? I mean, look, Patrick Reed wasn't the most popular guy. in the world, but he likes I think in. black.
>> Yeah, I think Dshambo doesn't love that. He's probably not like probably like you. have to understand where I was coming. from in my entire thing. And if they are. memorizing the negative things he said. he probably feels really uncomfortable. in that situation where Patrick Reed I. don't I don't know him personally feels. like Patrick Reed's okay thrives being a. [ __ ] I said that. >> I think that is kind of his different. thing. >> Bryson he's he's more I guess unliked or. disliked amongst the the pros and the. tour players and all that's the PGA guys. but amongst like fans or the casual like. he was the most liked like he completely. flipped the script a couple years ago.
once he went to live he kind of what's. that. >> he was Dustin Dustin Johnson just had a. quadruple back. >> Oh, no. >> So, he was minus four last night. He's. now plus four. Flirting with the cut. >> Wait, wait. He So, he's plus eight. today. >> Yeah. Or it was over at some I don't. know if he didn't did he finish minus. four yesterday. >> They should have let him go take a 2hour. nap. That's [ __ ] He had to wake up. that early and then just keep playing. >> Mark. >> JC just picked up another bogey, too. He's back to even par.
These boys are starting to get. shincocked right now, aren't they? They're getting shin uh cocked, dude. That's happening all weekend. I think. that's going to be the US Open. >> It's got to it's got it. The weekend's. going to be fun. I mean, they're they're. going to tighten the screws and it's. going to get difficult. They definitely. don't want a a guy a winner at minus 10. I can promise you that. >> Okay, your pick. >> A lot of pride around here. >> All right, with how it started, your. pick to win.
>> Windham Clark. >> God [laughter] damn it. I want him to. win. >> All right, we appreciate you. >> Who do you not Who do you not want to. win? Pat, I'll pick you up. >> I know. Yeah, anybody you said there was. about to get upset about. No questions. asked. >> I mean, Clark Yeah, Windham's going to. feel the pressure sleeping on a 36 lead. I mean, I Morava's back has been bad all. year, but he's one of the best iron. players in the world. I think that's one. thing we've seen. The guys that can hit. us straight and have good short games. rising to the top. Like you we said. earlier in the week, the big names. Xander, Morawa, Fitzpatrick. Fitzpatrick.
chunked one off the road earlier and had. a couple bogeies. But Rory hadn't ted. off yet. Uh Oberg Oberg's a talented. guy. He's got a finish. Got to finish. one. >> Um. >> Cory Connor is the pride of Canada. Hits. Hits the irons like labs and putts like. moly. If he can get [laughter] the if he. can get the putter going, we got a shot. >> I'll tell you what, you really maple. that one together, brother. You're the. absolute best. Look at that. >> What a moose you are in the game, ladies. and gentlemen. That's Mark Schlabok. >> There's Schlabok.
>> I love that man. >> That was the hottest bat he's ever had. and he's had some hot bats. >> Yeah, he he is he's batting a thousand. with us. >> Course is starting to eat the boys up a. bit. >> They're getting shinocked. >> Well, what's Windom at? >> Windom uh still seven, but he just put. one in the [ __ ] again. So, we'll see if. he can get out of it again. >> We knew that the [ __ ] was going to start. [ __ ]. >> Yeah, >> didn't we? We knew that that was going. to start happening. They've been talking. about it. It was inevitable. Especially. when you got that type of hammer that. they have. >> Yeah.
>> Hampton, baby. >> Water in those greens. I bet. >> because the wind is going to die down. It's like in the teens I think over the. weekend, which gusts probably high teens. or whatever, which is pretty normal. I. think standard stuff that happens in. places 25, 30, 35 mph gust were drying. up the greens too much. They had to keep. the greens wet because they had to hold. the ball. So as the winds go down, the. greens can get drier. The drier the. greens, the less the less sticky the greens.
>> It's like concrete. >> And they said that only 40% of the green. is ever available to put pins on because. all the rest of the greens are just. basically sloped down and away to uh. problem situations. >> So they're about to get shinock this. weekend. >> Scotty's got to go. Okay. Going to need. Scotty Sheffller to get up there at. least one under going into the weekend. >> So what was he doing? He was changing. his driver there and. >> he's fighting it. >> What's going on? >> He's fighting it big. >> He's got a newborn, right? >> Yeah. >> Kind of has a newborn going on.
>> And we thought, you know, cuz this has. happened for uh with numerous guys. Scotty has definitely exceeded all these. guys I'm about to mention, but remember. Jordan Spe was about to be the one. Brooks was going to be the one. Rory was. going to be the one. There's always. going to be Ricky Fowler even at one. point was potentially going to be the. one. There's always like a name that is. going to go go. Scotty became the one. and everybody's looking for him since. Tiger and then he's been able to run for. so long it's become so impressive and. then you start actually putting him in. the conversation just Jack and Tiger. it's like holy hell this is the guy.
that's been able to hold up are we. seeing the first ever are we seeing the. uh first time Scotty hasn't been able to. just figure it out naturally is that. what we're we're seeing right now and we. have no idea how long this is going to. be. >> what's he been like his last. >> year. >> 10 rounds. >> okay so yesterday I did it with Trico. seven of the 12 or seven of the 12. tournaments he's played in this year. were top five 10 were top 15. >> No, he lost it though. >> I know, but he's still. >> That's probably why it's so frustrating. >> Every tournament he's been top 25 this. year. It's just when you when he did. what he did and he won all those.
tournaments and you [laughter] compare. him to Tiger and Jack, then people have. those expectations and no one's Tiger. >> No, I just get scared. I get scared to. death we're going to lose him. >> It happened with I get scared to death. we're going to lose. >> Rory, it happened with um Spith. Uh it. happened with there's another one who. >> The reason why Tiger was awesome, Tiger. Red. Okay. Saturday moving day. Then we. put on the power red. We're finishing. up. It was mustwatch cuz he was. literally on the prowl. Scotty's the. same way. Scotty's never in the lead. Just if his name's in the weekend, it's. like he's going. They're saying he might.
have lost his touch. >> Nah, that's. >> I need him. >> Nah, he'll be back. >> I mean, it seems like on moving day. though, like on Saturday, if he makes. the cut, you you always look at it like, "Oh, shot Scotty shot a 63." And then he. ends up not winning, but he he's not. playing very well on Thursday or Friday, and that's what's killing him. >> Okay, we need to stop thinking about any. of this. I don't want to see any more. range Scotty Sheffler talking anybody. negative. Okay, I'm I'll go only. positive Scotty Sheffller [ __ ]. >> He hasn't missed a cut since 2022. So,
>> well, how can he win a freaking. tournament? >> Joining us, ladies and gentlemen, is a. man who might be able to tell us a. little bit about golf, especially over. there in New York. A man who can tell us. a lot about the soccer, the football. And what is today, Ty? >> It's football day, >> ladies and gentlemen. and a man who has. started some football controversy with. the land from down under. A man who went. on the CBS morning show today just. national news this morning and uh these. hosts who have all won awards for.
everything probably in the Hall of Fame. Oh, where's my ISO camera at? Right. here, please. Australia, your ass at. soccer. Okay, I don't know how to tell. you this. This man has been going to bat. for America very very loud over the last. couple weeks. And there is a continent. that is not happy with him. And I have. never seen a commentator need a win more. than I think what's happening right now. for this man. Ladies and gentlemen, international soccer star, CBS Sports.
Galazo host, friend of the program, Paison, Michael Gerella. [cheering]. >> How are you, buddy? >> What's going on, boys? How's everything? Okay, so you've been everywhere now with. the Australia conversation. That CBS. morning show hit today was outrageous. Awesome. You handled that so fantastic. and I'm so happy for you that you're. getting a chance to chitchat about the. sport that you are obsessed with. I I. think that is why you're so good at your. job. I think you're obsessed with it. You have been since you were a child and.
uh we appreciate everything you say. about the sport and how much you educate. us. Now, with that being said, Australia. hates your gut. Just getting a chance to. be in your mentions. Okay, just getting. a chance to be alongside of this whole. thing. Boy, they are not happy with you. It feels like they are rallying around. beating you and I don't know if the boys. of Team USA understand that you need. this win. I think you need this win. Do. you you feel that as well? Like you need. this win, I think, in a pretty big way. Do you do you feel that at all or are. you just expecting a big win and all. you're doing is talking about.
football? Is that is that all you're. doing here? >> I got to tell you something. I I don't. care if they win or not. I mean, I care. I want the America I want America to. win. But like at the end of the day, you. know, Pat, with all this criticism. that's coming my way and all this stuff. going on, you know, I had to take one. take, two takes, three takes. I've gone. back to do my preparation, my analysis. on the match so many times because I'm. like, wait, maybe I'm missing something. But there's this elephant in the room. It's the fact that Australia is not. known for football, right? It's like. saying, you know, it's like the.
Egyptians getting upset because we're. not saying they're good skiers, right? So I I keep going back to the math. I. keep going back to to what I know about. the game. And I mean, maybe I'm nuts, but that says plus 425 on your screen. right there. Plus 425. And so if you. want respect in football, you have to. earn that respect. You have to go for. it. You have to play the game. So, as I. said months ago, which went viral, layup. It couldn't be more accurate. One. word has driven the entire country of.
Australia crazy. And it's so accurate. This is a layup for the US men's. national team. the level of players, the. level of coaching, and they're on home. soil. This is a layup. Now, you don't. make every layup. We just watched the. Knicks, right? They missed a couple. layups and still went on to win it. So, you don't make every layup, but they've. got to pay attention to detail. It's a. massive game, but again, if Australia. wants respect in in football, they've. got to invest. They've got to push. forward. They've got to win things. And. I think they know themselves that that. football is not their first sport. Fun. fact, the United States of America, as a.
country that is now very confident in. our team, has never won back-to-back. World Cup games uh since 1930. >> 1930. A long time ago. I believe this is. after the Roaring 20s. >> Yes. >> Great time. Prohibition. >> There's a depression coming. Yes. Uh. around the corner. I don't know if they. know about that or if they're being told. about that. >> Or if it's already started. Okay. They're at the beginning. And then Bert. Patnod. This guy American. >> legend. One of the goats, >> first ever hat trick in the history of. the World Cup, said Bert. United States. of America.
>> Mhm. >> So Messi's doing this. Great. >> Bert said, "Let me show you how it. does.". >> Learned it all from Bert. >> That that was 1930. We're obviously in a. much different time now in 2026, but. this would be pretty historic for us. You talk about to the Australians like. you got to invest in soccer. You got to. do that. That was kind of what was said. about America for a long time. I think. while we were growing up, that was. certainly being said about how we need. to get to the point. We need to get to. the point. There was always one or two. guys from a generation that were able to. have success, but it was never the full. team. Now we got guys that are playing. all over the world. I think your.
confidence in team America is different. than it has been in the past. Right. I I. I think the Australians think that you. have just been gassing up the Americans. That is not the case. I I I don't think. the Australian folks know that. >> No. No. I believe in what I'm saying and. and they're coming off their best ever. performance. And Pat, you and I know. because we were in that system trying to. get to the national team and trying to. be those guys to push the needle. These. guys are really good now and they've. moved the needle and now I'm going to. say it. This is a double-edged sword. The coach Pchettino, who we spoke about. the other day, he's coming out and. saying we we can win it. Let's believe. we can win it. Because if we start to.
believe, we start to open up. There he. is with the with a dog. Like. >> don't. >> like that that comes with that comes. with responsibility. That comes with. saying, "Okay, we're going to beat. Australia. We're going to we're here. We're brave. We're going to put our. chests out. We're going to win this game. on home soil. We're going to start to. dominate. We're going to send messages. to the rest of the world." Now, you. can't say you want to win the thing and. be one of the best teams in the world. and then be like, "Oh, you know, a. little worried about Australia." You. know, it's a difficult game. >> I mean, you can't have it both ways. You. You can't be a champion and also be.
worried about Australia. I know France. is not worried about Australia. I know. Spain's not worried about Australia. So, if the US want to go to the high levels, they they got to start to act like. champions as well. So, this game on home. soil, I want to see them full throttle. >> Yeah, me too. I would like to see it as. well. And uh DraftKings has a phenomenal. promo happening right now. The America. game to guarantee. If you're 21 plus and. if you gamble responsibly uh and you're. not an [ __ ] we would love for you to. come join us uh on DraftKings as you.
have to opt in and then you have to. apply the token on a three-way USA. wager. If USA wins, obviously you win. the bet. If they draw or lose, you get. the money back in bonus bets. You cannot. cash out the bonus bet. Obviously, you. have to rebet the bonus bet. But if you. win there, you could cash that out. So. what are we doing here? We're team. riding on USA. Now on that note of team. riding USA, I think we would do that. naturally blindly. I know you have not. done that. But Debb has a question for. you. >> Yeah, GR. I know you know B. Look, we. got Look, we Australia. Yeah, but you.
got to play the game. We know that. But. what are our odds? What are our chances? Not the odds, not the DraftKings odd. according to you. What are our chances. to actually win this thing? I know you. know ball football, American football. give me like an NFL comparison of a team. going into this season if they this team. can win the Super Bowl. What's and. compare that to our chance to actually. win this whole thing because looking at. that HBO stat uh that doesn't make me. feel great, but you said it's our best. team ever. So tell me, let me know. >> Yes, I like. >> who was a who was a team that finished.
like in the semi-final of uh of football. this year. Semiinal. >> It was Ramsey Broncos and it was Yeah. pass Broncos. >> Texans. divisional round. >> maybe a little bit maybe a little bit. like the Texans like had some tools had. some excitement around it but never. really ever going to win it like I. >> with all due respect like I you know. it's it takes time to win this only. eight countries have ever won this uh. this competition it's not easy but. >> u yeah it's it's difficult so so can.
they make a semi-final that's going to. be progress. let's hit the brakes let's hit the. brakes here for a second there's There's. only been eight countries that have ever. won the World Cup. >> Yeah, >> that's a [ __ ] crazy stat. >> How many countries are there? I JUST. LEARNED ABOUT COPERN 16. >> There's 48. >> No, but there's more than. there's a bet on DraftKings. You can. pick a team that hasn't won it before. It's plus 190. So, you get USA, Netherlands. Like, there's a bunch of. good teams who haven't won it. >> The Dutch have never won it.
>> Made it to two finals. I believe. >> eight teams have only eight countries. have had a World Cup parade. Holy [ __ ]. We got to lock in. We have not earned. anything yet, boys. [laughter]. >> We are a long way away from Jeez. >> But I got I got to tell you something. like this game, I know it's become big. because of the comments or whatever, but. like at the end of the day, you know, if. the US want to be counted and stand up, they got to move the needle towards even. trying to win this thing like the. manager has been saying. So today is. just a one step along the way. Like if.
they can't beat teams like Australia, and again with all due respect, I love. Australia. I play with a bunch of. Australians, but like you know they have. a lot of championship players in their. team. That's second division England. The US have champions league players in. their team. There's a big distinction. There's a big gap between those two. leagues. So I'm not part of the US men's. national team. I can go out and say. whatever I like. I understand if I'm in. the camp, if I'm in the US camp, I'm. saying, "Hey, we got to respect them. Hey, it's a tough game for sure." But. I'm not in that camp. So I'm just. calling out the elephant in the room. And and I think a lot of sports people.
in sports today and people in sports. media, especially in soccer media, I. think they're scared to say it, man. Scared to damage relationships, >> scared to damage relationship and. they're scared. >> to for people not to like them. But. there's an elephant in the room and. that's that Australia is not very good. at football and the US is on [laughter]. on the rise. >> Okay, you brought that back to. Australia. I love you doing that for the. entirety of it all. And uh I do. appreciate America getting a win for you. today. Okay, we need it for you, GRA, for the rest of this World Cup trip. Let's get it done. But it did feel like. that cuz I saw The Athletic put out a. poll where their writers said if you had.
to rerank uh the teams after the first. game, not like how you think it'll end, but reranking after each team has played. once or after what you have seen. And. they had America at 17, which is I think. where we were ranked originally. I think. it was a lot of people that didn't want. to um feel as if they were disrespecting. the sport and they didn't want to lose. their friends respect in the soccer. world uh saying that they liked America. and appear as if they were uh didn't. know Ball, didn't know footy, you know, cuz like we as dumb Americans say the.
United States of America soccer team is. going to win at all. Obviously, if you. know footy, it's this is not like. reality. So, I think they just misread. the situation cuz I think people that. are actually in soccer now, yourself. included, are like, "Hey, actually, America looks like a good team." And I. think these people that took this vote. thought that maybe, you know, we still. maybe just overdoing it a little bit. You know, it it does feel as if a lot of. American soccer people, super soccer. people, are the ones that are pushing. back against us, saying we're winning. the World Cup the most because they.
don't want to be embarrassed as footy. fans. And I would just like to let. everybody know we're winning a [ __ ]. World Cup. >> Can't live in your fears. >> I [laughter] mean, what are we even What. are we even talking about? >> Ninth nation coming. >> What are we even talking about? England's only got it one time. They. chirp a lot. Spain. >> only one time in their history and it. was on home soil in 1966. It. >> it came home. >> And the only reason they were good is. because, you know, in 1944 all of our. guys were over there fighting a war. >> So in 1966, a one's on the board. Let's relax. Well.
said, Connor. >> Guess what they had to do right after. that? Beat it, man. >> Okay. I think they were on our side with. some of that. The the the Spain though, only having won crazy. I would have. thought a lot more than that. Yeah. >> This has been a pretty enlightening. conversation here. And all it took was, "Hey, listen boys, only eight countries. have ever won this thing." It's like, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa. We started. looking around. I know eight countries I. can hit a seven iron two in certain. parts of the world. So, it is a uh it's. a tough thing. Hey, it's world. It's. World Cup. It's World Cup. You got to go.
and get it. England only has one. >> about the time. >> Aren't they like kind of considered the. >> They're like you think soccer, you think. England, don't you kind of. >> greatest league in the world? Absolutely. You think EPF is fair if it. turns out all the guys in that league. aren't from England. >> Oh, >> that's true. They got a lot of. foreigners, but still one of the best. leagues in the world, great country, whatever. But if you want to get on this. list going back to the US, like you got. to be brave, man. I don't think Michael. Jordan went into games and scared the. opponent. I don't think he was like,
"Oh, I don't know about these guys." You. know, like he went in and was like, "I'm. going to dominate you today." And that. was [clears throat] it. And that that's. got to be the attitude if you want to be. elite. >> Ty has a question for you, GRA. >> Love everything you're saying, Gorilla. I mean, you are just speaking to me. right now. Um, in terms of the style of. play today, though, like how early on in. this game will you kind of know like, okay, we're in a good spot. Like, I. think they are going to dominate. Cuz. obviously right out of the shoot in the. previous game, it was like, oh, we're. going to beat the [ __ ] out of Paraguay, you know. But how early on will you. Thank you. Uh, how early on will you.
feel maybe like uh uh or get a good feel. of how the game is going to go when it. comes to this game today against. Australia? >> I'm I I think I'm pretty sure I already. know how the game's going to go. Australia is going to play in a 5-41. They're going to be pretty defensive. They're going to sit in. If they expose. themselves, they'll get killed with the. pace that we have in the team. So, they're going to sit in. We're going to. press press them just like we did to. Paraguard. We're going to win uh. pressure press the balls after loss. So, we're going to be all over them. Now, Australia will be deeper and more. compact. So it's going to there's going. to be an element of patience that that's.
required. So it's going to look very. similar to Paraguay, but it might take. time to get the first goal. If we score. first, bring it to the bank. Bring the. three points to the bank. If we score. first, if Australia score first, which. is what happened against Turkey, then it. becomes a much trickier game because. Australia will sit in and they'll make. it really difficult. I mean, like I said. the other day, Australia had 28%. possession of the ball uh and they only. took nine shots. So they were not very. good, but they found a way to win the. game. I think the US has to make sure. that they're careful on the on the. counter defensive transition, but like.
if they score first, it's going to be uh. it's going to be party time. >> Okay. Will America continue to attack if. we score first? Cuz it does feel as if. we have the strategy where we might give. one up. Like will that make Australia. kind of break their defensive formation. to kind of try to get a couple more. opportunities against us? It feels like. we're not as scared to maybe give up a. goal, but I've heard Australia locks it. down. So, like do you think we changed. the the pace in which we were playing? uh from last game or do you think we try. to do the same stuff against Australia. because I think Padaguay was also a.
super defensive team in before it faced. USA as well. Is it going to bode well. for us the same way there? >> Matt, you're on the money. Uh you're. 100% on the money. It's going to matter. the timing of the of the first goal. I. think it's going to be important. But I. think um the second thing is the US they. have conceded easy goals. So they're. going to go for it. They're going to. step on the gas. They're going to play. full throttle 90 minutes. That's what my. expectations are at least. Um the last. goal the US scored against Paraguay. actually Gorrena with the outside of the. foot the little travella that that was a.
26 pass sequence where they were the the. US were very smart they said no problem. we're winning you guys come to us expose. yourself so if the US are winning by two. or one and it's very late and they kind. of just invite Australia into the game. that's when Australia will be disjointed. and they'll be able to pick them apart. you know with hopefully a 20 pass. sequence or a 15 pass sequence and then. go and finish them off. So game. management's important. Um, but the. athleticism jumped off the page in the. first game. I expect to see it today. I'm excited for the game. I hope they.
win. I I'm They have the quality to win. But again, you got to go and make that. layup. You got to go and execute it. >> Back door overcover potentially. Okay. >> Whenever we're. >> live bet. Oh yeah. >> Yeah. Whenever we're pinging it around. cuz you get you get them sucked up. >> Mhm. >> Normally they're parked in. You get them. sucked up. Somebody gets a little. greedy. Thinks they're going to get it. That's right. >> And then. >> battle again. And then desk boom right. around him. Guys behind him. Now we got. another guy that comes. >> INTO THE MIXER. >> BEAUTIFUL. [screaming]. >> HELL YEAH. >> IN THE 91ST, you know, in the 89th.
>> Would love that. >> 91st, something like that. [snorts]. >> But I'll tell you what, the big large. lads from Australia can certainly park. the bus and just make this a very KY, boring affair. >> Overund is two and a half. >> Yeah, two and a half. >> Yeah, I believe two and a half. That's a. low number. Now, on that note, it feels. like soccer's different. Go ahead, Tone. >> Yeah, Ga. Um it feels like now correct. us if we're wrong like cuz we just come. in we're like oh there's going to be a. lot of lowscoring games cuz that's what. soccer is. There's only been one 000. draw sorry nil nil draw uh world cup and. that was obviously capo verde and Spain.
which was insane that it happened in. that game. There's a lot of games where. both teams are scoring. Is that abnormal. or are we wrong? And why do you think. there has been so much scoring it feels. like in this World Cup? >> First of all like I know you guys are. obviously big football guys. When you. guys score one touchdown, you count it. as six points. So if we did that, we'd. have highscoring games also. >> Shut up. SHUT UP. SHUT UP. STICK TO WHAT. YOU'RE TALKING ABOUT. >> IS IT GREAT? >> Shut up. Shut up, Gumpy. Just Just GET. TO THE POINT of your boring ass sport. Feels like it's not as boring right now.
>> Oh, the game was great. It was 214. It. was 3-2, guys. >> Okay, there was extra points in there, DREW. >> YOU'RE LOSING US. >> WE DON'T SEE nil nil either. >> Okay. Please, please don't do this. Toss. You did it to Australia. Don't do. it the football. Okay. Don't do it to. Don't do it that. But on it does feel. like it's a more u attacking style of a. sport now than maybe it was in the past. 5 10 years ago or we just kind of. misunderstanding. >> No, it is. It is. The modern game has. moved into like what people want to see.
and they're higher up the field. They. press higher up the field. It's almost. like when you watch the NCAA basketball. like how teams will do a full full press. so you know you win the ball higher up. so you have more chances. You're closer. to the opponent's goal. Um, it's also. been celebrated the Bayern Munich PSG. game where they scored, I don't know, nine goals in one game or whatever. Like, that's been like the way to push. it. Now, if I'm getting into a fight. with a 6'6. ex-professional boxer, right, I'm I'm. not going to fight him straight up, right? I might run, I might pick up a. weapon, I might I have to find a way to.
compete against this guy. And that's. basically what Australia is going to do. Australia's going to sit in. They can't. They can't play toe-to-toe because you. just can't uh because you don't have the. tools to do it. So, they're going to. make it difficult and they're going to. make it slow and they're going to want. to keep a draw. And so, we'll see how. the US deal with that because we know we. have all tools, but can we manage those. moments to understand what they're doing. and not expose ourselves like Turkey. did? Turkey didn't have enough respect. and then they, you know, they lost two. nil. So, they got surprised. >> They got a cover two shell here. >> Uhhuh. >> Okay. Quarterback can't get bored.
That's basically three yards in that's. what that's what this entire thing is. You just got to make sure whenever you. get your moment, >> you got to hit it. deploy the Pentagon. >> Well, we will, but that's for a. defensive effort. They will just They. have cover two shell right there. This. is what Australia is doing. They just. got cover two back there. So, we're just. going to have to wait. >> Luckily, we got a bunch of cover two. beaters out there. >> Yes, we do. And punches. >> dialing them all up while looking cooler. than everybody. Now, maybe our best. player has certainly got a question. Last question here for you. Go ahead.
>> Yeah, G. Hopefully, it doesn't matter. Suckeroo, soccer poo, if you will. But, Pisic kind of has a calf injury right. now. It doesn't look too good. He didn't. actually participate in training. practice and uh he was kind of off to. the side. What is kind of the plan? Are. we worried if we don't have Pissic or. because of the quality of our players, it doesn't matter as much without him. >> He's a big miss obviously, but we. shouldn't be worried. Every team that. wants to compete in the World Cup and do. anything. I mean, we just saw kind of. with the Knicks, right? Probably not the. best individuals, but the best team.
hands down, right? And and so I think. the US is a little bit like that. They're not relying on one guy. Pulysic. is obviously a really important piece, but he's not the only piece. So, I think. they'll be okay. And the tournament's. long. The format's a little longer. They. added an extra game. Uh, so you've got. to really manage guys and rotate guys. I. think that's going to be a key if you. want to go later into the into the later. rounds. >> What do you got today? What are you. doing today? >> All right. We are doing uh coverage on. the on the Golasso Network. We'll be. covering it from 1:30 on to 6. And I'm.
sure it's going to get rowdy and it's. going to be it's going to be exciting. So, we'll see. We'll have a bunch of. guests and see where the game takes us. But uh hope hopefully we get a good. result. I left I left my house this. morning, Pat. My kids were like, "Dad, dad, hopefully hopefully you as. [laughter]. they're so invested in it.". >> Hey, we're hoping too, buddy. We're. hoping too. >> Yeah, guys, don't worry about it. I. still got to pay my mortgage at the end. of the month. Don't worry about it. >> Well, that's what we're actually. >> That's what we're saying. >> That's what we're saying. Yeah, that. that's what we're all saying. I don't. know if we ever see you on camera again. if America doesn't win. >> No, they wouldn't sack him.
>> No, I know they wouldn't, but I don't. know. He might get killed by an. Australian. That's what I say. Some American. >> They're all big. >> Don't worry. I carry. Don't worry. [laughter]. >> Just a heads up. I might look like a. little Italian around there, but I got I. got weapons. I have 6'4 guy. I'll go. pick something up. You're the best. Ladies and gentlemen, from the Galaso. Network, Michael Gorilla, [applause]. >> United States, Australia takes off at. 3:00, 6:00, Scotland, Morocco, Brazil, Haiti, Turkey, Paraguay. And that clock.
right there is to kickoff. Well, schedule kickoff even though it'll. >> it'll be through 10ish. >> Be 15 minutes after that. Yeah. >> Can you see it, Ty? >> Are you [ __ ] kidding me? Of course I. can. What? How much time we got? >> 2 hours and 4 minutes. >> Okay. Thank you. >> You can see it. >> No, I mean I see there's something on. the screen. >> No chance. >> Yeah. What do you mean? You can't see it. either, right? >> I got great [ __ ]. >> And I got terrible eyes. So. >> 204 27 26 25 you know with. >> I'd see the red, white, and blue kind of. hodge podge thing.
>> Yeah. Deal. [laughter]. >> I think it's a good addition. >> Oh yeah. >> I assume on a you know 185 inch TV. that's probably it's probably pretty. big. >> You got a projector. >> But you see what we're trying to do. [laughter]. >> now. You got it. >> It doesn't help. I still can't. It. actually makes it worse. >> I'll get eyes on it at the break. >> [laughter]. >> I wish I could. You can't see it either.
No, I have I've had 10 glasses on. You. probably can't even see it. >> Nobody can. That's [laughter] That's a. sign for ants. Nobody can see it. >> I can see it. >> No, YOU CAN'T. >> I COULD. I was just doing it again. >> WELL, YEAH. I MEAN, I CAN SEE THERE'S A. THING ON THERE, but can't see the clock. >> You can't see that. >> I did the countdown. >> Somebody's in your ear. >> We're back on the other [laughter] side. Goodbye. I've pretty much seen almost every match.
that I've been not on the air for, not. traveling because I I love World Cup. soccer. So, Ty, I did two of them. I got. to host 2010 and 2014. 2010 was in South. Africa, 2014 was in Brazil. And I'd say. of my 25 years at ESPN, those two events. are two of the proudest events that I. had the chance to be a part of because I. really do think it helped set a bar and. introduce the World Cup to the American. soccer audience at a very different.
level. And some of the stuff that Fox is. doing right now, international. commentators was our group in 2010, 2014, Amy Rosenfeld, Jed Drake, those. are the production folks who were behind. a lot of what we did. Rob Lemley also we. we set a high bar uh for the coverage of. soccer and it had nothing to do with me. I was just on the air but that group it. was one of my greatest memories to be in. South Africa and see South Africa play. to see the US play in person and travel. around as being one of those sets inside.
the stadium. uh to be at a World Cup. final in person, to host the World Cup. final in 2014, to see the streets of. Brazil go completely empty. I mean. completely empty in Rio de Janeiro at. 4:00 in the afternoon when Brazil was. playing. when the national team played. like there was a Subway sandwich shop. downstairs from where we were doing our. host set on Copa Cabana Beach on the. edge of Copa Cabana Beach and they would. put up a sign if it was a four o'clock. local start that we close at three and.
that was on the sign of almost every. business in Rio in all of Brazil. The. country shuts down and that's what. happens around the world. I'm so glad I. got to experience that. My son played. travel soccer at a high level. I was. around it. I so I love the sport. I love. what the World Cup is about. And I think. what's really cool is now not only. parents, but a lot of the kids whose. first sport was soccer, three-year-olds. running around in a little pack around. the ball and traveling around like. that's the first sport for almost every.
American kid now. They play a little bit. longer. They know the game. They love. what the game is about. And now those. people are watching soccer. So I think. we've got a whole nation of soccer fans. who are coming around to this and like. you said the US team that was so fun. last Friday to watch that first half. that was great and what they'll do. tomorrow afternoon you know if they can. beat Australia get the three points. pretty much cinch up the group that that. would be so great for this World Cup in.
North America and in the US. So good for. team USA good for Pettino for playing a. style that's a front foot go get them. attack let your talented players go. Um, good for Pissic for being the guy who's. the face of and then coming out and. having such an impact on the first half. of that match. That was so fun to watch. on Friday and hopefully they can repeat. that again on Friday against Australia. >> The following program is a collection of. students talking about happenings in the. sports world. It is meant to be comedic,
informative. The opinions expressed on. this show do not necessarily reflect the. beliefs of their peers, their boss or. ESPN. There may be some cuss words. because that's how humans in the real. world talk. If you are a young, please. seek permission before watching any. further. >> Hey, let's go. >> This show sticks and the fact that you. listen, we are very very thankful for.
on the line with a gorgeous assist. >> The alltime leading tackler for the. Green Bay Packers. You pick. Damn it. >> Be a friend. Tell a friend something. nice could change their life. >> Hello beautiful people. and welcome back to our humble and bow. the draftings Thunderdome on this. feelgood football Friday [music] Junth.
Hour two of the program begins now. >> Sports. >> Well, the greatest of all time and. obviously team USA takes on Australia at. 3:00 today. Live from Seattle. That. countdown right there. 15910. [laughter]. >> Did we make it smaller during the break? >> 8:07 is until kickoff as USA obviously. continues its road to the World Cup. championship as we have the best team in. the tournament. So, we have no idea if. that's true or not, but we certainly. would like to believe that. Our team is. young. Our team is fast. Our team is.
physical. Our team is good. Our team is. talented. And our team doesn't flop. around. Our team doesn't take any [ __ ]. Our team represents America. And they're. taking on a team that represents a. continent of dogs. Now, we have a lot of. respect for the people of Australia. I. had a chance to be down there in. Brisbane. >> Yeah. >> Everybody's big, in shape, fit, and they. all dress interestingly. It did feel. like every person I saw, now I was in a. city and people are going to work, so. they're obviously dressing for their. jobs and stuff like that, but it felt. like everybody was in some sort of. costume. Everybody was in shape. The.
food was spectacular. The people. obviously uh love sport. And the fact. that they're able to beat Turkey in. their first game, I think was a big. surprise to a lot of people. But if Team. USA just goes ahead and gets a massive. win in Seattle, it's going to be loud. >> By the way, it's going to be loud in. Seattle. Oh yeah, >> we know the Pacific Northwest soccer. fans are gigantic cuz the Portland. Timbers and the boys up there sounders. up there. They have big fan base and. obviously a lot of team USA fans are up. there and that stadium is built to be. loud. So let's assume that this is going.
to be an incredible atmosphere. The boys. are going to be ready for it. Will that. man be playing? Christian Pissic, we're. not 100% sure. There's been no. confirmation. Sky Sport out of Italy is. reporting that he is fully available and. obviously he played in Italy. So there. are some connections to that particular. media outlet. So maybe Christian Pissic. is playing today and maybe we see the. same starting 11 that we saw against. Paguay. And if that's the case, we get a. chance maybe to see another master. class, but also that starting 11 get a. chance to continue to play with each. other. Chris Richards, we had him on uh. this man right over there. 83 for 83 on.
his passes and a defensive back. He said. that was the first time these 11 guys. were on the field together playing. against somebody. Okay, that was really. the first time they were really getting. a chance to do that. So the more time. they have on the field together, especially as everybody is seemingly. interchangeable other than two back. guys, Ree and Chris Richards. Obviously, we're only going to get better and. better, we think. So maybe Paraguay was. just the start of something special. And. maybe today that continues or maybe. today is a KG affair against an. Australia team that's a little bit st in. the back. We are excited that soccer is. doing its thing. And once again, that. countdown in the corner is how far away.
we are from kickoff. Once kickoff. happens, you will not be able to join us. on the America game two guarantee only. on DraftKings. Please come join us if. you're 21 plus and make a promise to. gamble responsibly. We don't like. [ __ ]. >> You're not going to become a. multi-billionaire from gambling. Nobody. has a clue what's going to happen. But. what we do know is if you opt in to the. game two guarantee at DraftKings and. then you apply the token after you've. picked your three-way wager on Team USA, you will get your bonus bet uh your. money back that you wagered in a bonus. bet for the future if America draws or.
loses. So, >> this feels like a good time. >> Let's go. >> Great time. Let's ride. >> pumped. >> the toxic tables here at boss Conor and. Ty Schmidt. Ty Schmidt soccer fever is. for real. >> It is. It is. And again, I don't know. how many times I've said it and this is. not just, you know, me saying this just. to say it. Um, I don't like soccer. I. don't like watching it. Don't really. care about any of it. I have World Cup. fever. I feel like I would take a bullet. for all 11 boys who are going to be out. there on the pitch today. Would.
definitely take a bullet to the skull. for Pochettino. No questions asked. That's my and his dog. That's my gaffer. Um I just man I I've got these visions. in my head of what today is going to be. So I really really hope it goes that way. cuz I do not want to kind of come to the. realization of what it could potentially. be on the other side of that. >> Now Con man, uh you are not somebody. that will come out and say that you hate. soccer, but you've watched every single. minute it feels like of this World Cup. You certainly got the fever and Scotland.
is helping. There is now a business. agreement, the brother sister town. situation going on between the city of. Boston and Scotland. Yeah, just the. entire country of Scotland. I believe. that was announced. This is all because. of the World Cup. It's a beautiful. thing. Is that a part of why you've been. so invested in the in the tournament or. is that only helping the entire college? >> I think that's definitely a part of it. I think also just kind of staring down. the barrel of the summer. We don't run. into these opportunities as much. Obviously, beautiful. Uh Michelle Woo, the mayor, announced plans for the new. partnership. Should be fantastic. probably going to get some direct.
flights. I've seen some people. suggesting maybe we add a commuter rail. straight from Scotland over the. Atlantic. Not a bad location. >> Hey, they've been waiting. We've been. waiting for one of those, right? >> Yeah. >> Why not you guys? >> Yeah. Not a bad idea at all. >> Boston and Scotland pulling that one. off. >> I I think it'd be cool. I think if we. got the Scottish psychopath, uh Drew. McIntyre maybe building it, breaking. ground. He's not. >> Or be the conductor. >> Or be the conductor. I know he's not a. psychopath. I know he's quite. >> Oh my god. the um the uh. >> the claymore clamor kick.
>> Not one, not two, but three. >> Three claymore kick. >> That's the front of the train. >> Good idea. >> Came with his foot. That's like the. front of the train, you know, like the. entire Yeah. the big boot that he has. there for the that that's from Boston to. Scotland. But we have seen a lot of. coming together and uh I think that's. been a beautiful thing for the World. Cup. Obviously, we appreciate that. One. half of the hammer. >> Cowboys AP Tony is here looking sweet. Nine-year NFL vet Darius J. Butler is. here. Yes, sir. >> D Butler, there's some things happening. around the football world that have. certainly got us excited. The.
Indianapolis Colts made a massive play. to bring in Corner Sauce Gardner uh last. year from the Jets uh including two. first round picks. This year is. obviously next year's as well. It's. >> a lot. Whoa. More than Miles Garrett. >> Yep. >> Holy hell. >> Lock down corner. >> And also not just a lock down. Yeah, he. is. cuz all all those George Pickkins. highlights we show he's. >> George Pickins is a great player you're. going to have those every once in a. while when you live in a paint every. once a while you're going to get dunked. on. With that being said, we are happy.
that S Gardner is an Indianapolis Colt. and we're excited for everybody to be. healthy on the Colts. And if he's the. missing piece, >> which he might be, >> Colts might win a Super Bowl and. obviously that is a spectacular thing. Now on the flip side of that, it might. lose and then who knows what the future. looks like and then we don't have a. first round pick. There's always a. negative that could come from that. Very. big positive just came out though. He's. not as old as everybody thinks he is. >> What? He's got another year eligibility. basically. Go ahead, bud. What have we. ever seen this before? >> I'm pretty sure I I haven't done the.
research, but this has to be the first. time in NFL history where we've made the. trade. Obviously, a big splash trade for. an allp pro corner and then he got a. year younger um somehow. I think that's. what every GM would want. You know, as. players, especially skilled players, once you get near that 30, 30 year old. mark, that's when they try to cause you. old man. Hey, get your money before. that. Already got paid and now, no, I'm. not 25. I'm actually 24. Good gimmick. Good gimmick to start. Maybe this is a. trend that gets going. But I mean, lock. down corner. Look, yes, we paid a lot. A. lot of people are going to say we.
overpaid. Now, if sauce comes down, he's. the best corner again next year and then. the year after that and then the year. after that and win a couple Super Bowls. Did we really overpay? No. So, I like. the move. I love that we have a lock. down corner, a premier player at a. premier position. And I can't wait to. see Sauce go to work. >> So what happened here? Like he he said I. identify as a 24 year old or like did he. say my birthday's wrong? Like how does. it work? >> Did someone say happy 25th birthday? He's like no actually I'm 24. >> I thought when is his birthday? I. thought. >> 31st. I I would like his birthday to be.
a Super Bowl and that's going to be the. day that he's going to be birthed as. Indianapolis Colt legend forever as he. seals with a pick six. I cannot wait to. watch it. >> Bingo. That's sauce. That's what they're. going to say in that entire thing. And. then he's going to be able to do it for. another year inevitably at the end of. this entire thing. And that's special. And I would like all of our good players. to add another year to their life. Yeah. I I to their prime. I I would like Alec. Pierce to also do this. I would like. Daniel Jones to also do. >> Pierce Healthy. >> No. They're saying like midway through. training camp. I'm very worried about.
the Colts cuz we go to a lot of games. and we're staring down the barrel of a. sturdy five win season. >> Hold on. Was this a D like a Danny Al. Monte situation where he lied and then. he's like cool we don't have to lie. anymore now or. >> or just like a Juan stood situation. where you're like I'm 26 but everyone. knows you're like 32 but you're just. like no 26 trust me. >> So we think so there's a a variety of. different ways we could have got here. >> Yeah. >> Cuz that the lying about the thing could. have been like way long time ago.
>> Yeah. It used to be cool to lie about. >> Did he reclassify older? >> It did. >> Yeah. So he would say he was older. So. football they probably expedited him. through stuff, right? >> If he's a year older as they probably. put you get through something quicker. probably, right? >> Or or he was so good that they maybe. wanted him like playing up with older. kids. >> Like how did we get here? I would be. interested to see that. It it all. revolves I don't care. >> It all revolves around him being a very. good footballer. >> We got a 24y old 24 year old playing in. college right now. I love it.
>> That's true. >> How long has he been in the NFL? >> Since he's 16. >> I was going to say his rookie year. Yeah, he's 18. >> Yeah, THAT'S WHO WE GOT. YEAH. YES, THAT. IS WHO WE HAVE. We are excited about. that. >> Now, speaking of legendary game-wrecking. corners. >> Mhm. >> Joining us now might just be one of. those. Not only now where he is in high. school, um, but in college, wherever he. decides to go into the pros, this guy. 6'2,
let me get his exact dims. 6'2, 175 lb. corner. High school. >> High school. >> Damn. >> So, he's going to be 6'2 190 probably. >> Oh, yeah. >> 62 190. Maybe 192 195 there. Uh, we. watch his highlights. Thumper. Ladies. and gentlemen, the number one corner in. the country wants to tell us and the. world. >> where he's headed. >> Do we got a commitment? We do. [music].
Hey. hey. [music] a big day for some big name. >> Locking in the play in some big games. [music] A big day for some big games. Locking in the play some big games. >> Where you going next? [music] Recruiting. is like chess. Got a 4. If you want to. be the best, announce it on the show. Where you going to go? Oh, everybody. [music] waiting. They all want to know.
This is a big day for some big names. Locking in [music]. some big games. >> Locking in [music]. some big games. >> Who's going where next? Well, let's. travel to Fort Worth, Texas. The number. one corner in the country. Ladies and. gentlemen, John Meredith. >> How are you, boss? Hold on. It might be muted on our end. Hold on. It might be muted on our end. Can you hear us?
>> Yes, sir. Yes, sir. >> John, great to see you, man. Thanks for. letting us be a part of this. How are. you doing? >> I'm doing good. Doing good. Just. blessed. Blessed for this opportunity. >> Okay, let's show the full screen here. because obviously you have Texas A&M, you have Texas, you have Alabama. You're. the number one corner in the country. I. assume every single school in the world. has wanted your services on their. football team. Congratulations on that. Let's go back. You're 6'2 175 now. We. immediately see that and go, "Holy hell, the possibilities are endless here.".
When did you become this high-profile. recruit? And can you take me back to the. beginning of your recruitment and how it. all started? >> Oh, man. For real. It was just more like. a I didn't really have a goal. I just. wanted I did have a goal. I just wanted. to be the best one out there. So, like. as a young player, like all everything I. did was more natural. So like the good. plays I did was like it wasn't it was. skill but like it was I don't know how. to say it but like it was natural but. like when college seen it it just like.
they could progress what I'm already no. dang. >> Yep. You got it. You got it. They can. make you even better than what you. already have. Your natural temp. Yeah. Yeah. I understand. And watching your. film it's very much like that. You pass. guys off. You're picking routes. Your. football IQ seemingly has to be. something that's just natural in there. But can we talk a little bit about that? your love of the game, love of sport, and football IQ. You're from the state. of Texas, so obviously football is a way. of life down there. When did you fall in. love with the sport? It's very obvious. you do love it. >> Uh since I was like four, four or three.
Uh football wasn't a choice at first. He. just My dad didn't want me sitting home. sitting down at home, so he just threw. me in sports. >> What positions you always play? Corner? Were you a wide receiver, quarterback, and what other positions did you play? >> I had play quarterback, running back, and like safety. How about hoops? You. play hoops? >> Oh, yeah. I [clears throat] used to. hoop. I was a small forward and shooting. guard. >> You can't shoot anymore, though, huh? You lost that. >> I [laughter] can shoot. >> Oh, okay. Okay. All right. I didn't. know. I didn't know. All right, John. We.
appreciate you so much for letting us be. a part of your day here. If you'd like. to let the world know where you're going. to take your football talent to next, I. think we'd all enjoy that, brother. Uh. uh I want to thank uh before I get to. choose the decision. I want to thank N I. got to do it after you know that's. that's going to give it off. Uh. for years. I want to take my talents. to the University of Texas. Dang, I said.
it wrong. [laughter]. >> I know. You did good. You did good, man. Woo! Hey, very good, [applause and cheering] dude. Congratulations. I want to let you know. uh you did perfect. Don't worry about. any of the delivery. I think the uh. endgame was 100% accurate. I believe. you're with your family over there. I. want to give them a shout out. Congratulations. Uh to your mom, dad, family, uh sister Taylor, mom, Chassity, uh nephew Bryson's in there. To. everybody, the family, congratulations.
And to you, congrats. Why did you want. to go to Texas? And inevitably, what led. you here? Uh because the best day in. Texas, so I knew I was going to go to a. Texas school. Uh I'm real uh real real. close to Coach O. I want to thank Coach. Coach O, Coach Shark, Coach Brand, uh. Brandon. Uh the whole coaching staff, they've. been hunting with me from the get-go. Uh.
I think it was just time for me to do my. own thing. A lot of people uh assumed I. was going to go somewhere, but I think. I'm just different. So, uh I think I. wanted to go to University of Texas. That's what I I feel like I'll be best. fitted it. >> Everybody that's at the top of their. bucket or skill in life is different. So, keep doing that. Work your ass off. I can't wait to see you down there in. Austin, congratulations, man. >> Pleasure. Yes, sir. >> Congrats to ladies and gentlemen, John. Meredith. >> Yeah, [applause] John. Let's go.
>> Congratulations down there. Sarkc gets a. highly highly touted recruit out of. Texas. >> Yeah, Sarkc I mean Texas they're always. going to get the talent. I'm excited to. watch him play anytime you got a corner. with those type of dems. We just talk. about sauce Garner. One of his big. things his length, his size, you get. those hands on people and he has ball. skills. You talked about it too watching. his tape. You can tell especially in. high school when a guy is prepared, he. know what the hell is going on. Same in. college, same in pro. Everybody has the. athletic gifts, but if you know what's. going on, you can anticipate things that. helps you uh play a lot better and a lot.
faster. So hopefully we see him on the. field uh kind of soon as he gets there. He got one more year at high school, right? >> Yeah, but I don't know if he's playing. There's some transfer thing that's going. on with him. There is some story. So. >> probably a coach hating. >> Well, that's kind of hope they figure it. out. That is one of the quotes uh from. um John's agent side actually said that. that coach potentially hating a little. bit in his own. >> in his own [clears throat] way he's from. what we read. >> but it it appears as if let's say he.
doesn't get to play his senior year. >> then he's what just preparing to go to. Texas. >> in the state of Texas. >> maybe early enroll yeah he'd graduate. from high school early and maybe be. there several months earlier than he. would have been even if he was an early. >> enroll 6219 90 is big, >> which is what he's going to be. I mean, he's 6'2, 175, but he's going to be 6'2, 190. >> probably within the first overnight. >> And he hits. >> Yeah. >> Lot of hitting up. Yeah. >> Wait, almost too much hitting, I think. But at 6'2, like I I appreciate that he.
probably feels like he has to do that. What do you think he will do? What What. is a projected 6'2 190 thumper? Is that. corner? Just. >> that's outside corner. Like you said, in. the NFL, you don't want to be a corner, you know, known for your hitting, but. you got to be a willing tackler. You got. to be able to get guys down in space, but I mean the primary thing you got to. be able to cover and if you can create. turn turnovers for your defense, that's. the biggest asset you can be to a team. So, we saw he has ball skills. We know. he's not scared to hit when you are a. high school. Yeah. You want to see a lot. of physicality. You want to see. defeating blocks. You want to see.
blowing up guys in the back field. And. you saw all those things in Morness. tape. >> Congrats to John Meredith and the. Sarkcark. >> Hell yeah. >> Hell yeah. >> Arch down there. I He won't play with. John Meredith unless Arch stays another. year. >> There was possible. >> Yeah. >> Never know. >> All his uncles did. >> Who's going to win the national. championship in college football this. year? >> You think Ohio State's just going to. just kind of go quietly into the night. after last year? >> Nope. >> Got a chance or two. >> Chris Henry and Jeremiah.
>> Indiana's doing a full reload. They got. to do a full reload, but it's a high. end. They'll be great again. And. signetti is an unbelievable coach and. everybody I had down there is an. unbelievable coach. >> Be for literally everyone back. >> Miami reloaded. >> Notre Dame's got a lot of guys back. >> Hey, >> Malachi backought Georgia exists and. they brought everybody back and Kirby's. still Kirby. So that Kalin Dbor right I. mean Alabama still has what like four. first. >> this year. >> ranked recruits in their system right.
now&m. If you remember last year, last. year the whole thing coming in, we. talked about all these quarterbacks who. we had never seen before. Like Julian. Sain we never saw before. CJ Carr we. never saw before. Arch Manning we never. saw before. Um. >> Dante Moore was not never a well he was. a starter at UCLA but he wasn't a. starter for Oregon. So like there was so. many questions last year. Now all all. those single every single one of those. guys Trinidad's coming back. Everyone's. coming back this year to their school. So less questions probably a lot more. teams that have the high-end talented. >> Oh miss we didn't even mention LSU.
>> is sellers going to be what he was. supposed to be last year. Lag way. >> Yeah. Do we. >> Does he make that jump? >> Lenor lost tub. >> I think I believe in LSU. I believe in. LSU. >> defensive roster. >> [ __ ]. >> And I think Lane wins games, right? I. think that is just what we. >> And the money does usually work. >> Yeah, actually. >> Yeah, exactly. >> I mean, they killed it in the portal. They got so many good guys. >> Portal King, you know. >> Yeah, exactly. >> Portal King down there. Mhm. >> That game in Oxford. >> week three, baby.
>> Oh, the game day is not announced to be. going today. >> Sure. Definitely not. >> Why would they? >> I think uh cuz JMU takes on Ohio Bobcat. >> No, they might might be going to Sahawk. game. >> Hold on. No, let's not do that. What you. just did right there. >> JMU for me was single-handedly the best. game day experience I've ever actually. been at. And Signetti was. >> Yeah, but if if LSU at Miss is the. weekend, like we're let's do that. But. if it's not like that and there is a. once in a-lifetime game and once again I. do not have the vote. I'm new guy there.
Okay, that whole thing on where we're. going. Although it was nice to be heard. a couple times this past year. But it's. like uh if there's a once in a-lifetime. type college football atmosphere going. to be somewhere, it's like I think game. day should be good. >> Yes. It feels like there is still a very. clearcut like this is the place to be. this weekend. And you know, it doesn't. always end up going there, but I feel. like you can kind of circle one or two. games every single weekend where it's. like these stand head and shoulders. above the rest. >> There is a once in a lifetime atmosphere.
that weekend. It's LSU at. >> Yeah, exactly. But future weeks. >> Yeah. Yeah. >> Gary, we get to like week eight, nine, 10. >> Yes, that time. >> There's like some games where there's. like Well, is this one Oh, certainly two. good teams. Yes. But also. >> already been there sometimes. >> Can't do that. Although we love those. places, it is hard to uh recreate the. same awesome thing that it's a festival. that just happened. So then we're doing. another one. But some places obviously. earn it and deserve that whole thing. But yeah, I'm a big fan of the Montana. State.
>> Yes, agreed. >> JMU is the one. You know, Cow out there. obviously counts because of what was. happening out there at the time. >> Over like with all due respect to like. Georgia, Tennessee or something, but you. know, >> great game. >> Kansas TCU that year. >> Great game. depends on if they're both. undefeated too, but if one of them is. not and it's like that's a very. difficult thing. But I think also um if. you listen to the college football. people that want to bring everybody. under one umbrella, >> they would say like the scheduling each. week we could certainly all work. together. >> to make sure that every weekend has like.
a loaded schedule because that's good. for our sport as well. Oh yeah. If we. have because there are some weekends. where it feels like uh every conference. is like resting their teams and it's. kind of all in the same thing. I think. as we continue to get to a more. formalized business of college sports. and college football, which is right. around the corner, big vote yesterday, that feels like something that was big. this week. As we continue to get to. that, I think the miss weekends, not. that there is any miss weekends, the NFL. has some miss weekends. So, it's not. easy to predict uh predict, especially. with injuries potentially coming, but I.
think that is in the future of college. sports as well. College football. definitely where there's going to be. like we'll give this this weekend, we'll. do this this weekend, we'll do that. So, we know every single week we have. something gigantic. >> Yeah. and the willingness to pivot too. because I think that does happen a lot. as well where like in August or in late. July like we see the schedule and it's. like oh wow week seven like that is. going to be crazy and then you know I. mean there's still college kids injuries. happen or whatever happens and a team. who was preseason top 10 is four and. five or something like that and things.
and yeah exactly and things change so. being able to kind of adapt on the fly. and change things up is huge as well. We. were there for the last good time for. James Franklin. >> Yeah. >> The leadup to the Oregon game. >> Yeah. And that was a great game. >> Great game. They lost. >> and then they lost again UCLA. >> Dylan Tamman. >> And then they lost to Northwestern. >> Drew Aller broke his leg. >> And then James Franklin is fired after. week five. >> And he was guest on the show by the end. of it. >> Week six. >> And it sound like he was like, "Hey, I'm.
[ __ ] coaching somewhere. I don't. know.". >> That's another team. >> Virginia Tech. >> We have no idea what Virginia Tech's. going to do. class. >> We know that their environment is going. to be inc. See, that's what we're. talking about. If there's a Virginia. Tech game, >> week four, week five, week six where. they're starting out hot. It's like got. to get down there. Don't we have to get. Don't we have to get down there? >> Well, you don't want to make. them lose. >> You have to get down there.
>> Yeah, >> that's one of one, too. >> God, college football. >> 71 days. Really close. >> Is that what that countdown says right. up there? >> Close. >> Oh, top right. Which is. >> I have no clue. Only you know. You have. to tell us what that one says. But one. >> 13609 08 0706 I think. Is that accurate. what I'm saying? Yeah. So why don't you. guys just kind of get your [ __ ] fixed? >> Well, see, but that's the thing. I can't. tell if you're looking at that clock or. if you're just looking at that clock and. counting down to 3:00. >> So you think my math is that good that. quickly? 135 54 53 52 135 51 50. Yeah. I.
I mean I'm I'm in there, bro. This is. the bottom level of the uh the eye test. here and I'm in there. I got LASIC long. time ago. I happen to see it still. >> Who was your doctor? >> It was right here in Indianapolis. This. is one of the original ones. I'll tell. you that was a weird experience. They. tape your eyes open. Okay. Tape your eye. open. >> I I've always hadn't been able to see. [ __ ] like in like junior high. I. remember being like this literally all. the time. And somebody like you, hey, >> use [ __ ] glasses, dude. So get. glasses. Do the contacts. I left my. contacts in years at a time.
>> Just years. just [ __ ] years at a. time. Just didn't even think about it. Then we played against I think the St. Louis Rams and uh right one fell out. like third quarter. There's no backup. contacts because I don't have backup. contacts because I've had these in since. two years ago. So I don't I don't even. know what these are. So I had to go. through a game watching in stereo. basically. >> I can't see anything. >> and I'm holding for like Yeah. Yeah. Well, it was uh it was a bad thing. So I. I was like I got to get this straight. out. But since I wore contacts for so.
long, obviously my eyes were so swollen. >> So like I had to do I had to do like a. sixmonth stint with glasses on. So I had. a six-mon stint with glasses where I was. just showing up everywhere with these. brand new glasses. Nobody had a clue. what to do. And then it's finally LASIC. day. And you go in there and it's for. the end of the day. I got I think I got. it like 3:30, 4:00. And uh the way you. do it is uh you walk in, they tape your. [ __ ] open. Okay. Tape your right eye. open. And you're just like sitting. there. And then they have this big laser. thing like you're at a dentist and that.
thing comes down on your eye and then. all of a sudden it just starts and. they're like um let us know when you see. the orange blinking light or whatever. and then you start smelling your eye and. then you lose your vision completely in. your right eye. Lose your lose your. vision completely and let us know when. you see the orange blinking light. They. ask that two times. >> once they get to the third time asking. that fourth time ask you think you're. blind forever. You think you think. you're never seeing anything at all. And. then all of a sudden that orange light. comes back. You're like, "Yes, okay. I'm. not blind." And then, "Oh yeah, we got.
to do the next eye." Okay. Then uh then. you take two ambient. Then you put. sunglasses on and you wake up the next. morning and you can read that thing. It. is I had like 20 10 vision. It was a. whole new world. I saw this. I saw the. roof of the Colts indoor complex for the. first time cuz all the lights on the. roof were just like a big blur. >> Blur. >> So it was my first time seeing the. ceiling that I It was like driving, first time seeing cars at night cuz. instead it was just like big blurs. Like. this is Foxy's life. So, anytime you're. riding with Foxy, I know what it used to. be like. That is what Foxy. >> keeping Lasic Foxy. >> Yeah, that's what I'm saying.
>> It's on the list. I'll get to it. eventually. I just keep seem to keep. pushing it back and pushing it back and. pushing it back. >> Foxy's okay. He put those meta glasses. on. All of a sudden, the Meta person's. telling him everything. Shout out to. Dana and the Meta people for sending us. 45 of these things uh legit. Thank you. >> They are unbelievable. >> Great camera. Golf with him. Me and uh. Dirty Play yesterday should have some. great content for. >> We have some breaking news from the. world of footy. >> He's in. >> BLISS IS OUT. >> [ __ ]. >> Today with a calf injury against.
Australia and Ricardo Pepe will get to. start. Okay, Pepe is in there. >> Pepe Lew. >> We didn't think it was going to be him. We thought maybe Raina. We thought maybe. Wea. We thought maybe Burr Halter. Instead, it is Pepe. I believe his odds. of score were better than all those. Ponchettino tells Fox Sports Jenny Taff. Jane Te doing a lot of work right now. Obviously, college football legend, but. crushing it in the World Cup coverage. Okay, so that's a big piece of. information and we we don't love that, but we know we got depth on this team. and we know we're going to need Pisic. for the long haul. It's a long turny. Okay, I thought this was uh probably the.
outcome that was coming, but then Sky. Sport Italy says that he's full go, so. maybe that was a little bit of a. throwoff. Nonetheless, we need Pisic. next against Turkey. We need him in the. next round. We need him healthy and we. got depth. >> Yeah, and Gorilla is right. Australia. sucks. Okay, Michael Jordan didn't go. into games thinking like, "Oh man, I. really hope that this guy doesn't lock. me down." If we want to win, we need to. be able to beat the [ __ ] out of the. soccer booze without our best player. >> All right, you're saying they're soccer. doodoo. Uh, okay. Let's go to some. things that aren't ass. If that's what.
you're saying is ass is Australia. Uh, let's go to five things that aren't. asked as voted upon by the Thunderdome. this week. This is a recap of the week. that was five things that we think need. to be spotlighted a little bit more. Is. that right, boys? >> Correct. Hey, first ladies and. gentlemen, let's go to the diamond, shall we? Let's go to baseball. How. about Jacob Wilson, son of Jumping Jack. Flash Wilson. Pittsburgh Pirates legend. says, "How about this dad to your. buckos? I'm going to be Keano Reeves in. the Matrix." A little bit of a Neo as. the young LAD GETS A HOME SAFE. He was.
unbelievable. That's a Gumby like. reaction. And I'll tell you, I think. we're seeing more of this nowadays with. the more athleticism maybe coming into. baseball time. >> I think you might be right. And there is. nothing better than a hook slide. I. mean, that's not a hook slide in the. traditional sense, but anytime. I mean, if for my money, these are some of the. best highlight plays on a baseball. diamond. I mean, just beautiful. Absolutely. >> They lost that game. A's lost that game. >> Okay. Yeah, the Pirates end up winning. that game. Obviously, go Buckos. And. that's going to certainly make jumping. Jack Flash Wilson, Pittsburgh Pirates.
legend, excited. That's Jacob's father, who certainly looked down and said, "Good job, boy.". >> He did. >> But he was upset. It was against the. book. >> Yes. You know, sports are a magical. thing. They can bring people together. We're seeing soccer do that. We. obviously have seen the fans in America. celebrate what life is as a soccer fan. over here. Have you seen the Norway. storing which is their supreme. legislature? >> Have not. >> Audio please.
[screaming]. >> Hey, [applause]. that was impressive. Do you see what. these people over here uh I assume in. this legislature, if it's anything like. any other legislature in the history of. legislating, there's a lot of. disagreements in. >> a lot of disagreements in there. You. know what they love? Holland. >> They absolutely love Erling Holland or. whatever the hell his name is coming out. there going crazy. They love the role of. the lads here in America up the. escalator. And they said, "Why don't we. go ahead and do something that bonds us,
brings us together? Let's find common. ground." and they said, "Let's row the. [ __ ] out of this Viking boat." I love. it, Con. >> Yeah. Unbelievable. Also, there's a. little cut up of a team from Norway in. the '9s, and they are the fathers of. three players, Holland included, on the. current team. So, you got to imagine. that the people in that room who might. be a little earlier, older rather, grew. up watching these guys, poppies, and now. they're watching their sons compete and. dominate for Norway. This is like what. the World Cup and the beautiful game is.
all about. I do wonder up there in. Boston, you guys are kind of like forced. to learn about boats and stuff, right? >> Oh, I mean a huge part of it, you know, the Boston Hoba. >> Okay. So, I I would assume over here you. kind of learn how to row. >> If we could uh kind of move they shoot. to the left one time, I don't think. they'd be pumped with some of the effort. of some of these. >> I agree. Yeah. Some people are just all arms. right here. Right here. These two. These. two right here. Listen, I I don't want. to I don't want to call too many people. out, but I think these two right here. aren't putting a lot of effort into it. Go ahead.
See, they're not putting her back into. THOSE. LOOK AT EVERYBODY ELSE over here. >> Right behind them, too. >> Everybody else is leaning. Lean with it. Rock with it. LOOK AT EVERYBODY MOVING. Everybody's moving. >> I need to use the legs big time. >> Boom. Let's go ahead and rock the boat a. little bit over there. >> THIS GUY'S NOT EVEN DOING IT. >> THIS GUY RIGHT THERE. >> OH MY GOD. >> OKAY, the other two, I give them a pass. They at least had the arms. >> This the jackass right here. >> HEY, WHAT'S THIS? HE'S I'M HERE TO VOTE. PLACE. I'm here to vote. >> THIS IS MADNESS. WHAT ARE WE DOING?
>> I AM A NORWAY STINGING MEMBER. I AIN'T. [ __ ] ROWING A [ __ ]. >> He looks like he had about 15 pints. watching the game the night before. So, we [laughter]. >> computers or. >> uh I'm not 100% sure, but it does look. like an old school computer. Uh I did. enjoy those things. Okay, congratul uh. congratulations to uh the storeing of. Norway coming up. >> Yeah. [applause] Let's go to a man who. was titled uh world champion for the. first time really in his life even.
though he's been interim chop a few. different times. Uh let's go to Sunday. night in the front lawn of the White. House. Justin Gatei, American hero. pounds Ilia Taporia. So much so that he. throws in the towel after his face gets. beat down by maybe the strongest. striker. Gatei said, "The reason why my. punches are so strong, I'm an A to be. here, baby. All the energy is going from. me through somebody's face, you know, and a lot of people see me get hit maybe. and they wonder why my face isn't messed. up. You said they think I got weird.
skin. This is his whereas I'm mine. It's. actually because I'm just deflecting the. energy. I'm setting people up. It's kind. of my art. It's my thing. It's my. science. I'm delivering 100% energy. through people's faces. Yeah, he is. And. he is our champ. And he's not just. champion in uh in the White House when. he's doing back flips and then almost. landing on his neck as he proclaims. himself the best faller in history. He. said, "Boys, I was just falling. That. ain't nothing. You It looks like I broke. my neck. I do it every day. Don't worry. about that." Well, you know what else he. might be doing every single day? Feels. like this guy's maybe got the mightest.
touch right now. >> Goes to the golf course. Justin Gatey, who is obsessed with golf. He told us at. Radio row. >> and fresh out of a championship. >> Those hands, >> that's the best. Those hands right there. made a guy quit in front of the White. House and then just a couple days later. they got that touch to a golf club. Gate's living his best life. That's. certainly not a nasty. >> No better feeling getting a nice little. chip. I don't know if it was for bird. I. don't know if save par. What is it right. here? A bird dog. [ __ ] Could be an eagle. But.
great job. I mean this guy's winning. right now. Just on top of the world. >> He's on top of the world. There's. another man that won an award this past. season. He actually has two trophies now. because of a misspelling. the offensive. player of the year from the NFL last. year. Jackson Smith and Jigba. Turns out. if he wanted to, he'd go run the NBA. >> Mhm. >> He was working out with Chris Brickley. over there in New York, which is a. legendary gym, a legendary trainer. And. Jackson Smith and Jigba has uh. >> game. This dude's getting buckets all. over the place, and he's working so he. can show up at your celebrity game and. embarrass you. Debb, your thoughts on uh.
kind of utilizing the same tactics you. have used as a football player who. surprises the [ __ ] out of basketball. players at some of these games? >> No surprise here. He is an absolute. freak athlete. You could watch him on. the football field and probably assume. he'd be dominant on any sport that he. played. But this is very, very smooth. right here. Usually DBs, uh, quarterbacks, those are probably the. best hoopers that I've seen year in and. year out football player-wise, but as a. wide receiver, >> yeah, I got little windmill off the. bounce, too. I love this. Love.
everything about this. >> Yeah, true hooper. You know, they talk. about this, especially at the wide out. position. The hoopers are able to cross. people up. You know, it's used to be. something where I think uh NFL teams. hate it whenever guys played basketball. because obviously if you get injured, it's a big problem. But now it's like an. expectation at some positions if they. play basketball, they're probably going. to be able to get a little bit more. open. Wide receivers certainly one of. those positions. Jackson Smith and. Jigma's the most explosive guy we saw in. the. >> I want to reiterate though, Puka, he's. an exception. JSN exception. In my. experience, wide receivers typically.
stink on the basketball court. Very good. ath. Ty Hilton, another good basketball. player. But outside of that, I mean, >> Kevin Fes, >> who just joined you? Who who just joined. your. Who just joined it? >> Trust me, I've seen these guys. I've. done the research. All right. So, yeah, Devonte Parker, he's another one. Bunches. Another one. These are some, but there are many, many more who stink. The majority. The majority. Boom. There. we go. >> What do they not have? They don't have. anything. >> I don't know what it is. Like, they are.
obviously freak athletes. Devonte Adams. is another one. Some of these wide. receivers that come to mind and they. stand out, but for the most part, and I. don't want to call names, Balden would. be another guy great on the basketball. >> That's just like one example. >> That's not because it sounds like we're. rattling off a bunch of really good wide. receivers. >> You know, no, let us. [laughter]. Pittsburgh guy by the way. But I don't. think he claims to be a hooper. But you.
just rattled off a lot of wide receivers. are good hoopers. Like a lot. >> I would assume Justin Jefferson pretty. good hooper. >> Jamar Chase. We think he's a good. hooper. >> We know T. Higgins. >> I wouldn't assume Chase is a good. hooper. >> We've seen DK Metaf dunk. Does that mean. he's a good hooper? I wouldn't think. DK's a good hooper. >> Plays like Rodman a little bit. >> I can see Michael Pitman Jr. >> Yes. >> being terrible. >> Oh, >> I could see. >> Alec Pierce I think is a hooper. I think. I know that. Um, Julian Edelman can get. to the rack. Really? I believe. >> AJ Brown.
>> Yeah, I play with Edin. Ed can play. >> See, >> that's surpris. Okay. I thought you were just fibing. >> No, he can play. >> Okay, so maybe wide receivers aren't ass. or you just a. >> I've done the research. >> All right, I trust you. Hey, I will say. >> done the research. DBs on the other hand. >> plays more basketball than anyone I. know. >> So I believe Yeah, I believe him. I'm. just saying. >> as an adult, this guy's playing a lot of. hoops. Randy Moss, another great. >> Well, yeah, >> man. I feel like all these guys aren't. going to hear all these names that. you're saying now. I think the original. part of you saying wide receivers are.
ass at basketball, >> but I named it a lot of good ones. So, there we go. >> Hey, listen. You might have to go play. hoops against them. Now, I know that. there has been uh potential games you've. been offered up to play in against very. good basketball players in the past. I. know you wouldn't be scared, and I. appreciate it. Yeah, absolutely not. Let's continue in the things that aren't. ass. Uh, ladies and gentlemen, uh, basketball is still going. The Knicks. had their parade. It was spectacular. >> But don't forget about the W.
>> That's right, baby. >> You know, the Indiana Fever. >> Mhm. >> The team that is the hottest in the WNBA. right now. >> A team that has four people that are. scoring over 20 points a game, maybe 30. points a game. >> What? >> The team that's carrying the ratings of. the entire industry. >> Yeah. I don't know if everything I just. said is the truth. >> I think they lost last night. >> They did, but they had one they had won. eight in a row. >> It ain't about that. It's about your. record. >> Kayla just dropped some new fire. [snorts]. >> fire shoes. Not only fire shoes, great.
fits. And also, how about a behind the. back edition to FSU's Michaela Timson? [screaming]. >> Wow. >> JASON WILLIAMS. >> CHOCOLATE. >> That was clean. That's what. >> now you see me. Now you don't. >> Magic Johnson. >> Wow. >> Yeah. I'd say Kaitlin Clark's back on. her [ __ ]. >> Yeah. >> Sophie Cunningham.
>> She's All I see is her doing these uh. three-point dances. She's all over the. place. How far into the season are we. right now, Gumpy? What should we be. expecting for the rest of the WNBA uh. season? What are some teams that are. currently riding high right now over. there in the W on the hardwood? Gumps. That was a tough loss for the Fever last. night. Atlanta came in here and got a. big dub in our city. So, that was a. tough loss. But, uh, Minnesota's been. really good and Dallas is actually very. good. Uh, those are the kind of the two. top teams that are surprising people.
Aces are always going to be good. We. know that. But Dallas and Minnesota with. their rookies are playing really good. right now. >> Who's the respect? >> Olivia Miles. >> Unbelievable. >> What a sweet look. Frocks and the way. she plays. >> dog. It's fil she is awesome. >> She's a killer. She is unbelievable. You. look at her and it's kind of like a. Kyrie Irving type. You talk about. players who like play at their own pace. The vision a lot of people felt like. which I agree. She was the best player. in the draft. Dallas didn't take it. I. took a instead because you have Paige.
Buckets who's also one of the best point. guards in the league. But she has been. unbelievable. >> Sick looks the highlights. Every time. the highlights pop up, she just looks. like so smooth. It's like, wait, does. WNBA have their uh Kyrie right? Is that. is that kind of what we got going on? It. feels like there's a wizard with the. Rock. Good luck to the WNBA and good. luck to every other team other than the. Fever. >> They're nine and six fighting for a. playoff spot. >> Who? >> The Fever. >> What the [ __ ] man? I thought we were in. first. >> I thought we were undefeated other than.
last night. >> Lynx 12 and three. >> There's no way they won eight in a row. Who told [laughter] me that? >> They didn't. I mean, I know, but. >> they did not win eight in a row. >> Liberty 11 and four. >> Saw that somewhere. [laughter] Dream 10. and four. What place are we in? >> You're lying to me. >> Beaver. Beaver actually six and four in. their last 10. So. >> that's not bad. >> It's not eight in a row. >> No, it's not. Uh you guys need to stop. doing that. Whoever put that out there. [laughter]. cuz I bought that some [ __ ] hook line. and sinker.
>> Kind of a part of our problem. >> Yeah, I'll say. I said, "Yep, that. tracks." [laughter]. >> Especially when Mercedes Exactly. >> That's the only reason we put that on. >> Yeah. I thought we were H's pistol. >> [ __ ]. >> Apparently not. And more. You know, [laughter]. >> hit it. >> Yeah. >> And that was. >> great timing. >> Served up pretty fast. >> Do something sweet.
[laughter]. >> We got World Cup fever, man. >> That's all I can think about. >> We are so sorry. And I'm just seeing. Sophie Cunningham just make another. shot. She's made another shot. >> They won that game. >> And now I don't believe that either. >> No, she was lights out again on her last. few games. >> She's still cooking. >> She played unreal last night again. >> How many she have? How many points she. have? >> I do not know, but she she's she's. hitting three at an all time. >> She was two [laughter] two of three from. three. 12 points. >> They had a rough game last night.
They're six and four last time. >> Sophie's lighting it up. The Indiana. Fever going to win it all. >> Marksman. >> How many games do we have? How many. games do we have? >> 40 total, I think. 42 in the regular. season. >> and then they're making it 50, right? >> I think it might be 36. >> Wait, did you say what did you say the. record was? >> 9 and six. >> Fighting for a playoff. There's [ __ ]. 40 games left. We're fine. >> I know. I think over a quarter in. defense. I thought they played 20 games. in a season. >> Listen, you guys need to stop cuz you're. telling me all this different stuff and. you're loading me with, you know, for my. fever. And then I I don't know which. way's up.
>> We got to make the playoffs. We gonna. miss the playoffs. >> Caleb was hurt for. >> We've won eight IN A ROW. NO, WE. HAVEN'T. >> YOU SAID THAT. >> YEAH, YOU [laughter] TOLD US THAT. >> I know. I don't know who told me that. I'm going to I'm going to remember that. >> Hey, [laughter]. >> I don't know who it was. >> No, >> but I'm going to. >> I will find you. >> Hey, remember this is what we've been. caught up on. >> Exactly. >> This is what it's all about right here. >> Yeah. >> Hour 17, 27, 26, 25. You see that? >> All I know is they're in seven. No, but. I believe you. Eight teams make the.
playoffs. They're fighting for a. playoff. >> Yeah. 44 games. Yeah. >> And it's going to 50, right? going to 50. next season. >> Next season. I think that's a big deal. >> New team every year. >> Expansion teams going to 50. And I'll. tell you, >> the ball left. >> What's the uh guard name from Minnesota? >> Uh Olivia Olivia Miles. >> If she's going to continue to just and. one cook people, I mean, what she is. doing, that'll be fun. >> Yeah, she's she's fun has been heating. up, too. She's been shooting the lights. out as well. So, good for her. >> All right, that's awesome. Let's go. around the room here and uh find some.
things that were our fave uh from the. weekend. Um we're not going to do the oh. no train until after. I believe there is. a chance that we are going to be joined. by somebody. Mitt is sitting in Bruce's. seat. >> Oh boy. >> The whole time. >> Ladies and gentlemen, joining us now. >> uh is a man who is going to kind of. summarize everything that happened this. week from the NFL. We used to do this. segment back in the day and then this. guy made us look like idiots and then. now we're all the way back.
>> Ladies and gentlemen, it's time for the. weekly wrap-up with Rap Sheet and. Friends. Us being the friends, he being. rap sheet. Ladies and gentlemen, Ian. Rapaort. >> We're back. >> How'd Mitt do there? That was one of. Mit's first times ever having to. interact with other humans outside of. the Thunderdome, but also having to put. you through here to have the. conversation with us as he'll be sitting. in that position as Bruce gets ready to. take the next stage of his life. Uh, so you might not know this. Um, Mitt. and I are buddies. Uh, we go way back. We have hung plenty of times. We've had.
beverages together. >> Surprise me. Trex. >> Um, so that's offensive. >> I don't remember. >> I thought he did great. I actually have. forgotten who Bruce was before you WOULD. JUST MENTION IT. >> BUT WE'RE GOOD. >> HOLY [ __ ] BRUCE. >> Mitty Piff, that's tough. Mini Piff, >> listen. [laughter] I mean, what are you. going to do? You know, the best ability. is availability. He's not here. Mitt. steps in and I thought it was great. >> So, Bruce actually is here. So, it's. kind of like a cuck situation where.
you're complimenting him right in front. of him, but he will not be here next. week. >> I don't know what you mean. >> Yeah. >> Resurgent. >> There's a chair. Okay. >> The chair in the hotel room. It's in the. corner. It's for watching. >> I'll tell you what, your reaction that. you had there, I didn't have any. questions, but now I kind of do. Don't. know. Don't we? >> Yeah. Adds a layer to the inside. >> Let's move along. This guy was cooking. meat today. That's right. >> This guy was cooking some meat today. We. like that a lot. We appreciate you. sending those uh photos over so we can. see you kind of operating in a fashion. of uh you know, masculinity cuz that is.
something that you kind of do. You know, you smoked a cigarette and smoked your. meat outside. And. >> the bigger the meat the better, right, Ty? >> Yeah. That looks like [ __ ] though. I. mean, did you I mean, did you burn it? Did you Is that thing burnt? >> Slow roast or what are we doing here? So, uh, that's two 7B pork shoulders, basically. So, it's like a. >> Oh, there we go. >> You know, it's like a 10-hour process. So, this is just the start of it. So, I. put some some rub on it, a little. mustard to bind it. I'm going to wrap it.
at probably 160 and then probably. tomorrow at some point, just pull the. whole thing apart and make little. sandwiches. Be nice. >> They're saying that it's actually a. bunch of this. >> poop. That's what they're saying. [laughter]. >> How did you do that? They're saying. They're saying because of you doing it, it's a bunch of pull pull pull pull pull. pull pull pull pull pull pull pull pull. pull pull pull pull. >> on what platform are you doing this? >> What's that, buddy? >> I would like to be able to do this. >> Yeah, I'm sure you would, pal. But the. thing is right there. We know you have. no idea what you're doing. That's no way. that's nowhere near the center of the.
meat. That's obviously offcentered. So, if you're cutting it or checking it for. its temperature, we appreciate you. though getting in there, get your hands. on that meat, sucking the meat down, and. making something that isn't poopy meat. because poopy meat's the worst type of. meat. Now, let's not talk about your. meat on your grill or your meat in your. house. Let's start talking a little bit. about the NFL in the meat of the off. season here. Tell me a little bit about. what we should think about this week in. the NFL. What was the big story in your. eyes and maybe what's something we. should look forward to? So, you know, usually this is the time where players.
go away, they get on vacation, mini. camps ended, and so, you know, I'd say. mostly you have any contract. negotiations have sort of hit a pause. unless you get to the point where you're. like, let's just keep talking cuz we're. going to get this done. So, you'll. probably see, you know, a couple. contract uh negotiations, some. high-profile guys like, you know, Bejian. and Jir Gibbs and kind of those type of. guys. Baker, you know, if they're going. to get done around the start of camp, I. think a lot of times is a pretty good uh.
landing spot for that. Otherwise, you. know, the guys are going to go away and. you hope to not have any NFL news. The. reason why this is maybe a little. different is because of the Brendan. Sorsby situation. And I know covered. this a lot, but like you have a. legitimate high-profile NFL issue in the. middle of June in a place where there. never is anything like this. >> Your thoughts on Roger Goodell being the. one having to decide whether or not. there's a supplemental draft and how.
quickly will that come after the. application window closes on Monday for. the supplemental draft? >> Uh yeah, I would expect uh news probably. pretty quickly. So, you know, you hope. early next week, Tuesday maybe, um, something like that just to have some. finality and say like, is there going to. be a supplemental draft or not? If there. is, you know, then Sorsby is going to be. the most high-profile. supplemental draft prospect since, god, I don't even know, three decades,
something like that. Um, I mean, Josh. Gordon was probably the most notable, but this is even more high-profile than. that. Um, and so I mean it's Gadell. deciding, it's the NFL's management. council deciding. Um, and there's, you. know, there's a lot that goes into it. because he's incredibly talented. I. talked to seven general managers to gain. an understanding of where the talent is. They believe universally first round. talent, may not get a first round pick, but first round talent. and you're. probably looking at second or maybe even.
third round supplemental pick if he is. eligible to even be in it like if. they're even going to have one and we'll. find that out next week. >> Okay. So, you said early next week for. the supplemental draft decision out of. Commissioner Goodell. We hope that is. the case and congrats to Sorsby getting. this opportunity and we think from. everybody around him uh that has talked. to him, he's going to make the most of. this entire situation and hopefully. become a face of something of the next. era of his life. Go ahead, Tone. Ian, if. there isn't like if Roger says, "Hey, we're not doing a supplemental draft.". Then what happens to him? I he doesn't.
go into the next draft, right? Does he. become a free agent or how's that work? >> He No, I don't believe he would become a. free agent. I think he would sort of be. in in limbo. Okay. >> You know, of of a place where like not. going to be in the NF, you know, if. you're if you're not drafted into Oh, that's cool. >> Hey, I like that. Let's go. Was that mid. also? >> Uh, no. That was back row there. That. was Bill and Zitto are currently in for. Nick, you know. So, we got a lot of. people on this field Friday kind of.
working together plus Foxy obviously in. the Foxy position. So, the the behind. the glass certainly looks a lot. different than it does regularly, but we. got depth on the roster. We got boys. ready to step up in the next man up. We. appreciate that, boys. That's good. culture. It's just what you're seeing. here is a depiction of the culture we. have in a Thunderdome is certainly going. to be tested over the next couple. months. I have a strong faith in the. resilience of the lads. Although, it. won't go smoothly at the beginning. It. will get sorted, I do believe. Classic. us. On that note, uh Sorsb is going to.
get a first round uh bid from somebody. is what it sounds like cuz you're saying. everybody's saying maybe not a first. round. So if somebody actually wants. them, they're going to put a first. rounder in because they think nobody. else would. And over the past Go ahead. >> No, I was saying and you guys know how. this works, right? It's actually like a. >> there's almost nothing else like it. Basically, you put in like a blind bid. and you'll say like I think he's worth a. two and if someone thinks he's worth a. one, that person gets him. But like you. don't really know who actually is going. to do anything. You sort of just say.
like here's what I think he is worth. Um. like there's just almost nothing else. like it in sports. It's really. fascinating. >> Yeah. And there's second rounders being. used. First rounders being used on guys. Now obviously Chris Carter I think was a. fourthrounder which was kind of a. fascinating thing to us to look back on. now. But first rounders and second. rounders being used in a supplemental. draft very real, you know, because if. Roger Goodell opens up another draft in. the middle of the off season for. everybody, it it means the player is a. [ __ ] good player. So that's the only. reason why this happened. This is not. happening for an ass player. Okay, this.
is only being opened up. Everybody's. coming out of their vacations. >> for somebody that's worth a damn. So. probably going to be a high draft pick. >> first round bid. I think somebody. inevitably will if if just the way. they're talking about this is not me. acting like I know just what we heard. Shy talk about it we heard him talk. about it we he talk about it we've heard. everybody talk about it where. everybody's like you know he's got first. round grade but. >> nobody's really thinking about it it's. like well that means one person at least. one person will definitely think about I. think because if it was starting at like.
second third maybe it would be on second. but it does sound like it's starting. with one two is where everybody's. talking. >> top 10 pick they were saying I think so. like if you're the let's say you're the. Jets and the Browns and you're looking. at your season honestly and you're like, "Well, we probably have a top 10 pick. next year. We're probably not going to. use a first round." But if you're a team. that you think is going to be picking in. the 20s to late 20s, then maybe you use. your first round pick because you're not. going to be able to get guys like Arch. and Dante Moore and and those CJ. >> This is the argument. >> Who what team what team could you put in. that category?
>> That's why he's saying Tampa is a. potential spot is what he just said. because of this Baker Mayfield stuff. that's happening. Detroit Lions, Pittsburgh Steelers are certainly a team. that could potentially look at even. though they spent Drew, you know, so I. don't know. And Will Howard's there and. everybody's saying Will Howard's good, but you look at those types of teams. that are maybe looking for the future. >> Cowboys, like how old is Dak? Like. >> 32. Seattle, Sam Darnold, he's in the. second year of a three years. >> Seattle's another interesting one. >> Yeah. And everybody. >> I mean it seems crazy, but like it's. quarterback. So like if he's if he's. good, you just figure it out. Just figure it.
out. >> And also you're going to have to play. your backup. >> Yeah. >> Yeah. you're going to have in the NFL, especially with us going to an 18 game. season here soon, backup quarterbacks. are playing a lot of football. And I'm. not saying like you need to have. >> a top 10 pick as your backup. quarterback, but that wouldn't be a bad. thing to potentially have at some of. these places, especially as the future. goes. >> I'd be surprised. >> if he's one. >> first round. Yeah. >> What do you think? Second. >> I think second for. >> which is still a lot. >> If I could if it was a line and I could. bet I would bet second. I feel pretty. >> but like that's like for those load.
teams. Can you. >> I mean I'm sure you can somewhere but. >> there's a predicted market I assume. there's a predict available DraftKings. is available in all 50 states. Uh. >> and this is with no you know no info. I. know like you said rap sheet chef like. they're calling around they're talking. to GMs but you know I just know these. teams are set and they have how much. they value these first round picks and. um you know we we shall see. Speaking of. first round picks, the Colts, we traded. a couple first round picks to bring in S. Garden. And you talk about going way. back when you admit me and you go way. back 2009 inside that Patriots locker.
room. You haven't aged today. Sauce is. aging backwards. How did he turn 24? Uh. what intel on that? >> Man, I am trying to figure this out. Um. it is it's crazy. kind of reminds me of. when like we know that uh everyone is. and we know that a player is name is. pronounced this and then they go through. the whole career and they'll be like. yeah actually everyone's pronouncing my. name wrong and Travis ETN is the latest. example and you're like how could nobody. tell us like Sauce is very communicative.
he's a great dude he's a good golfer um. he's a great football player how does he. not tell us that he's young it creates. he has more value now to the Colts than. I previously thought because they get. more years out of them. >> Yeah, >> we would like everybody to do this uh on. the Colts. We'd like them just to add. another year, but we would like to get. to the bottom of when this started, how. this started, and uh why now is the time. to let everybody know, but we would. certainly like to let Sauce know we. appreciate him and uh happy uh birthday,
right? >> Yeah. >> Like when he when he when the team. wished him like a happy 25th birthday, wasn't he like, "Hold on, you're close, but not right." like, "No, >> they didn't do capital letters probably. on the on the post, so he probably. didn't even read it cuz he probably. thought to himself like, I won't see. that.". >> I don't think he's had a birthday on the. Colts yet. So, the Jets just probably. [ __ ] it up. >> Yeah, but I assume this guy's back. Cincinnati. >> Well, they they couldn't because he was. 15. He was illegally playing for.
>> Cincinnati had no idea when his birthday. was. >> They were covered. >> Oh my gosh. >> Yeah. I do wonder how this how deep it. goes. >> I got a lot of questions. Legit, we. actually do have like some questions in. it all because if this was something. that happened as this uh little child, it's like Sauce has been playing above. his age his entire life, which is why. he's the perfect guy to be the lockdown. corner for the Indianapolis Colts. >> Yes, >> come on Sauce. We're excited about that. We have one minute left here before the. hard out uh on ESPN. We'll continue. digitally, but big story line this week. is a man who showed up at OTAAS. Go.
ahead, Tone. >> Yeah, Rap. Um I wanted to ask because I. couldn't remember. So, George Pickkins. has done everything right. He he signed. the franchise tender. He's he's. reported. He said he's going to play. No. hold on anything like that. I remember. Did the Cowboys say they were never. going to give him a long-term contract. or just this season? It is there a. chance that if he plays well again this. season that he will be with the Cowboys. again, not just on a second franchise. >> I'll go fast cuz I know we got the heart. out. Uh I do not expect a long-term deal. this year. If he plays well and does.
everything he did last year, I think. next off season he'll be able to cash in. and be one of the highest paid receivers. in the NFL. I don't believe they're. going to trade him. I think they just. wanted to see more in one more year. >> That's awesome. We are happy that GP. found his home and how excited he is. We'll watch America beat Australia. We. hope you'll join us over on DraftKings. If you're 20 plus and responsible, we'll. see you on Monday. Have an incredible. weekend. Uh missed the US Open, but USA. >> No, we hit it. We get it. focus right. now. >> We hit enough of it, did we not?
>> We We hit enough of it. Happy Father's. Day. >> Happy Father's Day. >> Thanks. >> Welcome. >> Happy Father's Day to you. >> Father's Day. >> It's about time for the K. Uh. >> Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah. >> Hey, listen. The uh the camp bags. So, you got to pack the campbags and send. them early. They went off today. The. kids, not the kids, just the bags. >> Oh, >> kids are still here. >> Oh, so not kids in bags. I I didn't. know. >> Do they take weapons? >> What's in the bag? >> They make them when they get there. Golf. clubs, >> doobies, and booze. >> Yeah, lot of lot of low.
>> How old are they? How old are you? >> How old is the oldest? >> Uh, Max turns 13 in July. >> Oh, jeez. 13. >> Our kids jerking like there's no. tomorrow. >> All right. [laughter] We don't know. We. don't know what these 13 year olds are. doing at this camp. I certainly didn't. get a chance to go, but that does feel. like a year where there's going to be a. lot of experimenting going on. He He's. going to be out in the woods here. >> Uh, it's woods. Yeah. in cabins like. five or six kids to a cabin. Yeah. >> And they're there for how long?
>> Seven weeks. We see them on visiting. day. >> Sapping trees. >> Seven weeks. Two months. Die in the. woods, kid. Good luck out there. See. you. And they learn about life out. there, right? We're cutting down trees. >> Fishing. >> We're learning about people we don't uh. No, we're having a good time. Probably. first. Is there Is this a girl as well? Girl and boy. >> No. No. No. No. No. All boys. >> No. There's definitely like an all girls. camp. Very close. They're sneaking over. on boats. Yeah, exactly. We all see that. dance. >> Yeah. Okay. So, first girlfriend.
>> Dances. Oh, yeah. >> First girlfriend happening at this thing. for sure. >> Wow. >> Uh, he has not told me. I don't think. so. But he wouldn't keep secrets from. me. So, >> no. You're his dad. He would definitely. not keep a secret from you. >> Is Tony Perkins there? >> If he was going to tell anyone, it would. be me. >> He's in a It's not a fat camp, I don't. think. Right. It's not. >> These kids are skinny. >> Super skinny. >> Good hair. >> Good hair. >> Tony, great hair. >> Tony Perus, heavyweights. The runner of. the fat of the fat, >> the blob, the go-karts. >> Come on. >> Not aware. Sorry. >> Camp MVP Goldberg.
>> Holy [ __ ]. >> Tony Robbins for a second. >> All right. >> Speaking of basically, >> I mean, kind of. >> I'll send you. >> one in the same. >> I have it on VHS. >> Tony Robbins. He He's the one, right? >> Yeah. >> Yeah. >> Every once in a while, I'll catch a clip. of his in my algo. >> He's a giant. And his hats on his head. or what it is. And the way he speaks, the things he says, I read the captions, you know, because it's just I don't ever. have sound on. It's like, wow, this. guy's always got [ __ ] answers. >> Master motivator. Yeah, >> you need you need to hear his voice. >> He's got a Netflix like Doc.
>> That guy's got it figured out. >> I saw one of his motivation. It was in. um Better Call Salt. Nope. Uh Shallow. >> Shallow Howal. Thank you. >> Shallow Howal I like that movie is where. uh old buddy. >> Jackpot. >> Yeah. He has like whiskey glasses on, right? >> Great movie. >> And it is a great movie. You love. Shallow. >> I know that. Great movie. >> Okay. I like it is a good movie. Tells a. good story, doesn't it? >> Mhm. >> Great story. >> It does tell a good story about, you. know, what's going on inside and what. what's real, what isn't, isn't it? >> What matters. >> It is what about what matters.
>> He's never seen it. >> Anything else matter in the NFL right. now, Ian? >> Uh, no. I mean, maybe one or two things. trickle in before we get uh. >> Yeah. Rap sheet. Uh, Stefon Digs, now. that that case is kind of out, it was. one of those things where no one knew it. was going to happen. Now he's been. proven innocent. What's the situation? When is he signing? Who is he signing. with? Who's interested? >> Yeah. I mean, this is there's a couple. of these like high-profile veterans that. you're really watching. Cam Jordan.
signing with the Saints, which was just. like I know that was a couple days ago, but like such a cool thing for New. Orleans. He had kind of the amazing like. appreciation day. Um, you know, that. these are the kind of vet veterans we're. watching. Now, Diggs is another one. the. fact that you know usually you'll say. like oh like the legal situation is. handled like he was innocent so this is. like NFL's not gonna he's not gonna be. punished for anything like innocent. fully eligible to sign with someone has. been talking to teams my guess is that.
it'll probably be something right before. training camp or maybe like a little. into training camp because really what. you do if you're a if you're like a. bigname veteran who doesn't need the. money and doesn't really need training. camp is you kind of just wait because. you have your value, right? Like. whatever teams believe you are, you are. >> You said value, like the medicine. >> Sure. Calm down. >> Jesus, everybody has volume. I didn't. >> That would be a lot. >> And you basically wait, you could also. wait till an injury and maybe some like. a contender says, you know, we'll pay I.
have no idea $15 million for you in a. point where we didn't have you that. because we have to get you. So, if. you're a veteran like that, he might. just want to wait. >> All right. We appreciate the hell out of. you, Rap. Have an incredible weekend. Are you uh are you riding with us on. DraftKings for the America Game 2. guarantee? Are you riding with us on. DraftKings? >> Um I have not gambled in 15 years. Um. because I've never been allowed to. Now. I am. >> Listen, we don't want you to jinx.
anything we got going on anyways. Even. though this one is. >> Don't you think I'd be good? Guju. >> and for this one. It doesn't matter. really to be honest. We You get your. wager back in bonus bets if America. draws or loses. You win if you win. >> Whether I do or don't, I am rooting for. the people. Let's go. Thank you. >> For America, you know, because some. journalists, I think, are finding it. difficult to root for Americanist 17. >> because they don't want to, you know, disrespect soccer. It's like, come on, we're good. >> Come on. >> Come on. >> We're good. >> We are good. >> We are good. >> Yes, we are good. We are. We're great.
Actually, we're great. >> All right. Rap. >> And the whole damn thing. >> We hope you have a great weekend. Who's. winning the uh US Open? Uh, who is winning the US Open? >> Rory. >> That's not bad. >> Okay, good. Good. >> Like going out on a limb there, huh? >> I mean, the problem is it's like I mean. I and you know I this is the best, but. like the course is going to beat them up. so bad that whoever is in the lead now,
like we're not going to see this guy by. like Saturday afternoon. >> Yeah, cuz he's going to get shinika. cocked. >> That place is awesome. You ever played? >> Eat good meat over there at Shikok. >> Yeah, >> good meat over there. >> Mhm. >> Don't they? >> Good seafood. >> Big golf course. >> I've never been to the Hamptons before, although I do hear it is a spectacular. place. I appreciate the fact that New. York is on top of the world with the. parade and then Shinock and obviously. the Rapaort nearby. Maybe you stop by. the New York New Jersey stadium and see. one of these World Cup games. You're the.
best. We appreciate you ladies and. gentlemen. That's Rapshitty and Rapid. >> All right, let's take a break. On the. other side, we got the oh no train in. favorite things from the week as we. catapult into team USA taking on the. soccer that'll be taking place. Oo, this. one's tough. 56, I think. 56, 34, 33, 32. >> Yep. >> See, boys, it's there. >> It's impressive. >> No doubt. >> Yeah, it's there. All right.
I mean, it just looks like a whole bunch. of mumbo jumbo to me. >> It's not mumbo jumbo. It's a countdown. to a great time for all of us. Okay. >> Uh yeah, I mean I'm ready to go. I just. That might as well mean nothing. >> What do you mean it might as well mean. nothing? It means a lot. It means the. whole world right there. >> If you say so. >> I say so. I you It just looks like a. [ __ ] just blob of [ __ ] up there.
Well, I mean, I see like the little red, white, and blue, but doesn't No, I mean, it doesn't look. >> like Cody Rhodess tattoo. >> That's exactly what it. >> It does kind of look like Cody Oats's. tattoo. [singing]. boo.
>> [ __ ] sucks. >> Does kind of look like it up here, doesn't it? >> Yeah, that's probably the size he wanted. it as. >> Well, that's the thing about Cody. You. think it's gonna be like this and then. he's, you know, you think he's, you. know, what that's six inches they. >> right. That's right. >> That right there is six inches, boys. >> You look at that. Okay. You think Cody's.
showing up like this. Okay. Instead, what you realize quickly? [screaming]. >> Yeah, that's exactly what it is. That's. what the sound is for. >> Yeah. Cody Rose is a lot bigger than you. think he is. >> That's right. >> And I'll tell you what, that [ __ ]. might be the one. We found out, didn't. we? >> Yeah. Yeah. I was pretty wrong about. that, I think. >> How's that going? Is he still the one? >> No, nobody knows. >> Let's get to a break. Isn't your. >> Isn't this their off season? They don't. start like that. >> Lock back in. >> They haven't had any shows since maybe.
business. Why. >> the [ __ ] going on? >> Well, they haven't had any shows. >> Saw Roman do something. >> I believe this is happening. >> Beat the [ __ ] out of Eric. Somebody did. >> Oh, Fatu. >> Jacob Fatu, dude. >> So, Fatu is back with the bloodline. >> Holy [ __ ] Breaking news live from. Seattle. The soccer fans have made their. way in. Gorilla as a clown. [laughter]. >> Yes, we like that. Okay, let's get to a. break. On the other side, we got the Oh, no. Train. Ga has. >> beat the [ __ ] out of this. >> Infiltrated Australia a little bit. >> That's right. Mhm.
>> And we like that. He's not a clown. >> I didn't know they were so soft. >> He's a soccer expert. >> That's right. >> And he said this was a layup. Will he be. right or will he be wrong? >> We win by 10. >> Yeah. >> Hell yeah. >> Let's finish the show on the other side. Be a friend. Tell friends might change. your life. Take five. >> Five. [music and singing].
[music]. >> Good old days. >> AJ always like [music] to say the good. old days. We're living up this. breathless stress. God bless. We killing. them. Perspectives a necessity these. days especially. [music]. So if you wait, you should take some. time to live a pleasantry. >> 12 teams countdown to one. We're trying. to find a national champion and it. starts right here in Norman with the. boomer.
>> Take a look at that [ __ ] bell button. That's full. >> Who's that? [music] Who's out? That's. George Straight. >> Don't you [ __ ] forget it. >> Boomer. Boomer. Oper was the last team standing. >> I hear you wild [ __ ] [music] maniacs. going crazy. You deserve what you earn in this life. You'll get burned. The world [music].
turns. You'll be fine. Don't concern. what [singing] feel divine yet another. pure [music] enshrine. The universe is in first. It's on time. You live yours. I live mine. No sign. >> $1.5 million. [music]. >> Yeah. Malachi Tony is an [music]. explosive play waiting to happen. >> Malachi Tony outside. Touchdown Miami.
shotgun looking to his left. Sweet. [cheering]. with his second pick of the game. [music]. >> He said as soon as he saw me wear the. hat, he went shove it up my [ __ ] ass. [music]. >> So many [music] people paralyzed by fake. problems. See all the negativities.
impairing [music] all their prophecies. Never fail, always win. Got to be. philosophy. This life is [music] one and. done. It's an actual and unbelief. That's why tonight it's Darius Bungle. vers AJ Hawk in a cotton ball. >> He has been able to do whatever he. wanted all year. >> Keem [music]. snap should have been a North Award. winner. Big six, baby. Big time. >> Stop it. >> Big time play. Deonte Scott wants the.
stadium. >> All right, Foxy, you better tell me if. you're feeling it. >> I do not get consent. >> Yeah, buddy. Nothing. >> Got a mismatch over there with Jeremiah. Smith. >> That's where he looks. Jeremiah [music]. Smith. >> catches. Touchdown. This is Texas. >> Touchdown. I caught it.
>> Oh, you did. >> No, the head. >> Shamar Brown. Oh, the good. No call by. Ohio State. Touchdown. Hurricanes. This [music] game is over. The Miami. Hurricane have won the pot. Good for you. Good for you. I need an. Ohio State jersey. It's time to play. >> Oh no. >> Cheers all [ __ ] Appreciate. you. >> Cheers. [music]. Have a good day. It's been a hell of a year.
>> Happy New Year. >> Happy New Year. >> Happy New Year, boys. >> Hey, it's been a It's been a hell of a. year. >> That's why [music] I always like to say. the good old days. We're living on this. breathless stress. God [music] bless. We. killing perspectives of necessity these. days [music] especially. So if you wait, you should take some time to live a. blessing. [music] I don't identify life.
I guess that's why. >> a couple times last night I could have. got you with a double leg. >> You're going to get nice and beat up. [music] when I see you. [laughter]. >> Hers are winning. What do you do? What do you. >> when they get in the paint? >> Oh, what a grab. >> What a grab. >> Unbelievable. What a start for IU. Indiana is going to be up by 10 points. against Alabama. Breaks a tackle. Breaks. two. ball touch. >> Hey,
>> let's go. >> This show [cheering] stinks and the fact. that you listen we are very very. thankful for. >> McAfee on the line with a gorgeous. assist. >> The alltime leading tackler for the. Green Bay Packers. >> You pick. stutter. Damn it. Be a friend. Tell a. friend something nice could change their. life. >> Hello beautiful people and welcome back.
to our humble boat. The draft kings. thunderdome on this feelgood football. Friday Junth. Hour three of the program. begins. [music] And now. sports. >> are happening today is an exciting day. Team USA takes on Australia 3:00. That's. in roughly 40. >> Yeah. See, see, you've been 58. >> No, it's tough cuz it's a surfboard. >> You've been looking at this clock and. you know exactly how much math there is.
>> No, that's not true. >> That's not true at all, fellas. I'm. looking at the top thing. I can see it. Okay. Just the surfboard is kind of. giving it a little bit of a tough. background. And yes, maybe it wasn't. large enough for you all to be able to. see, but these Lasic eyes can obviously. see it and my soul can feel it because. I've been counting down to this kickoff. since the time the last game ended. against Padaguay. I cannot wait to see. what our team USA looks like. Was last. game a splash in a patent?
>> No. >> I sure hope not. >> Was it just a little sizzle that could. potentially never lead to an actual. stake that we all hoping for? or is that. actually what our team's going to be? If. that's what our team's going to be going. forward forever, if that's going to what. it's going to be, soccer is going to be. a gigantic thing in the United States of. America because it's a fun style of. soccer. It's a dominating style of. soccer. They're not flopping around. There isn't that seeming like weakness. It's attack, attack, attack. Let's score. some goals. Let's beat the hell out of.
people. If that becomes the United. States of America style of soccer, we're. talking about a whole new future here. That's what I think rides on today. in. exactly 46 minutes and 40 39 seconds. >> With that background, you got no [ __ ]. chance. >> Yeah. So, that background is tough, but. I think I did nail it. But I think it's. a huge day today for soccer. I think. it's a big day for USA. The toxic. table's here at Boston Connor at Tai. Schmidt. One half of the hammer Cowboys. AP Tone is here. Nine-year NFL vet. Darius J. Butler is here. Happy Father's.
Day, lads. Happy Father's Day as we head. into the weekend, but also happy end of. an incredible sports week. And uh I. think my favorite thing uh from this. past week was the fact that we did so. many kickabotes. Okay, over here. But. the program's favorite things of the. week. Let me start. I like the fact that. the boys have all to a man got into. footy. The things that have been. happening after the show out here in the. Thunderdome on the basketball court has. been nothing short of unifying just like.
what sports have done. Has been nothing. short of uplifting. has been nothing. short of a joyful time and people coming. together rallying around footy and we've. been doing some kickabouts and we added. a new game which was hey you got to put. it into the garbage can at the end. Okay, we had to get at least 10 passes. then we had to get it between 10 passes. and 16 passes into the garbage can and. I'll tell you what the boys started. competing the boys started working and. uh yeah so this is I didn't know this is. one we're obviously easiest way to do a.
layup there. >> Oh yeah. Okay, that would be a layup. But I like that we've been doing. kickabouts. I like what soccer has done. to us. That's my favorite thing the. program has done this particular week. Even Debbuts. >> Hell yeah. >> Bruce and Bone have set their swords. aside a little bit. Mitt has been able. to showcase because obviously his family. is filled with some soccer talent. His. little sister plays for the Louisville. professional team. >> Oh, does that happen? >> It's a hell of a touch. >> Yeah, Tone is uh obviously very special. But soccer's been great for us. It's. been my favorite thing this [applause]. week. Okay, that's my favorite Let's go.
around the room. >> Let's go to one half of the hammer. >> Cowboys AP tone. Your favorite thing. from this week that has happened. >> My favorite thing from this week that. happened. Do you guys ever seen some. F-18s and some F-16s form a 12jet Super. Delta formation? Okay. Have you? >> No. Me either until Sunday night when I. saw it fly over the White House at UFC. 250 between the Blue Angels and the. Thunderbirds. That was my favorite thing. that I saw this week. As everyone knows, I love a good flyover. gives me a.
freedom boner every single time. Um, so. seeing that happen on Sunday night, that. was my favorite thing of the week. >> I I I don't know how you And then D, it. was Dana's too. Yeah. I mean, it was. Dana, too. Dana would go on to tell us. that uh they were 2 minutes away from a. decision having to be made for those. planes that were having to turn around. cuz obviously uh there wasn't enough. light in where they were going to have. to fly over the White House. There was. some sort of clearance that was not. going to be able to happen if they. waited two more minutes. Storm opened up. around the White House, uh, is how Dana. tells the story. And the night goes off. without a hitch. Perfect evening for.
Freedom 250. A bunch of knockouts and in. the end the American underdog made the. foreign fighter quit for a championship. And I think Freedom 250 was certainly a. success. I think there was a lot of. greatness. The G7 uh which is the global. seven countries whatever coming together. to meet obviously very important time in. uh our world's uh kind of history that's. taking place right now. They were. talking about the fighting common. ground. Beautiful thing. There was a lot. of hate going into it. >> Oh yeah. I think coming out of. everybody's actually pretty sweet. And. uh the knockouts.
>> filthy. >> That's what we're here for. Fly over. >> Awesome. >> The Marine Band, the president's own uh. band. The uh singer. The singer is a. Yinszer. Yep. >> Mountaineer. Yes. >> Staff Sergeant Hannah Davis. >> She was the singer. She's from. Pittsburgh. Went to West Virginia. Now. she's Staff Sergeant Hannah Davis. She. was the one singing the songs. She did. an incredible job. It was beautiful. I. like that was your favorite thing. I I. think it was a lot of people's favorite. thing. Ty, what was your favorite thing. from the week? >> Yeah, we've been talking a lot about uh.
the people from other countries coming. to the United States for the World Cup. and just like, you know, going to. Walmart and walking through the grocery. portion of the store and just being. flabbergasted saying you can't find any. of this kind of stuff in the uh in our. country, whether that's, you know, Scotland, England, etc., etc. But then, you know, I mean, we obviously when. you're from a different country and you. come over here, like you'll go to New. York, you'll go to LA, you'll go to. Vegas. you've taught like the big. tourist ones. There's one guy in. particular. Let me make sure. Okay. I. And I can't see that. Uh Tommo uh LUFC.
1992 V2. Uh this British lad, him and. his wife took a camper. I don't know. where they uh came, you know, they're. going to Chicago, I believe, or they. were coming from Chicago. He drove. through Iowa and uh boy, he he he he. found out what Casey's breakfast pizza. is all about. Casey's I've I've long. been a staunch supporter of Casey's. A. lot of people who aren't from Iowa just. think, well, gas station pizza. It's a. [ __ ] general store first foremost. It's more than just a typical gas. station. But you can see this guy says.
it right here. Oh my days. I mean, he. can't believe it. Photo doesn't do it. justice. Obviously kind of looks like. shite. It's not. >> It's gas station pizza. It's going to. look like that, right? >> It's general store pizza. It's not gas. station pizza. >> Sorry. General store that also sells. gas. >> Yes, obviously. Uh, and you leave that. to like Quick Trip. That's a gas station. who do pizza. You know, I saw a lot of. people trying to compare the two. There. is no comparison. Casey's is Doug Oat, but he says it right there. Egg on pizza. shouldn't work, but somehow it's. incredible. He didn't even get to have a. slice of of pepperoni, you know, come. lunch time. Maybe he did because this is.
so good. But it's not just that. Then I. saw him and his wife went to the Field. of Dreams after that, which is in like. Dyerville. It's just like if you were. from a different country, you'd never go. to Iowa unless you had family there. You. would never go. And he was just like, "We didn't plan on coming through here, but we did and like we'll remember this. forever." Like that's [ __ ] awesome. and Scotland obviously with Boston. There's actually now an agreement being. made, an arrangement being made. It has. been a spectacular thing watching them. learn about our country. And I think a. lot of people are relearning about the. awesome things of our country that maybe.
we didn't know other people didn't have. I mean, there's videos of people walking. into Walmart. >> They have everything here. >> Holy [ __ ]. >> We could choose whatever drink we want. It's here. It's available. And then. obviously the serving sizes and the. extras. This it's like I think a lot of. Americans just assume the rest of the. world is like that. And then the rest of. the world comes to a lot of Americans. like, "Hey, this car, >> yeah, >> I got air blowing on my ass. >> I love the roads here. >> I'm in a Jeep Grand Wagon here. >> Look at this thing.". >> Driving pickup trucks for the first.
time. And it's like for us, this is. obviously just like normal, but I think. there is a natural hesitance or a. natural tendency to kind of get. desensitized to things, especially if we. see it so much. So, it's been nice kind. of looking at our country through their. eyes, you know, and uh I think it's been. good. I think this World Cup has been. spectacular for us. Now, Con man, your. favorite thing this week. >> Yeah, you mentioned Scotland right there. and you know, of course, we are now twin. cities. We are one in the same Scot. It's a country though. >> Yeah, but they are kind of just. considering all of their cities to be. Boston's twin city. It feels as though.
it is more of a country of Scotland with. the country of Massachusetts, Boston. more in particular. I believe they also. just created a hey, guess what? Open. container law. We're doing it. You don't. have one anymore. You can just walk. around with a beer. Honestly, one of the. my favorite parts about Indiana is that. there's no open container law. They're. bringing that back. >> The Scots going down to city council and. going, "Come on, >> we're trying." Yeah, >> we're trying our best. >> Trying to have a walkaboot. >> and them just going, "All right, >> fine. >> Fine." I guess if you're going to have a. good time, we like we would like to.
promote a good time. It feels like the. Scots have certainly done that to. Boston, but a lot of places. >> without a doubt. They've actually sold. out damn near every single bar. They've. drank them dry. I I I heard from. multiple people that uh basically bars. around Faniel Hall, bars around Femway. Park, they just couldn't serve anymore. because the Scots uh lo and behold, the. Scotland had a little bit of a break. They said, "You know what? We. experienced Boston. Let's go check out. some other cities." This is from an. interview that they did while they were. in New York. >> Few hours in New York City. How's it. been? What have you noticed first?
>> I've noticed that it's not as good as. Boston. [laughter]. >> They love you guys there. I think. they're very sad that you're leaving. Yeah, they don't want us to leave. It's. very busy in New York. Very, very busy. >> Oh, the people are good. >> Very good. Very friendly. Very. welcoming. >> You got to catch the next parade. tomorrow. >> Boston. [laughter]. >> We got to get We got to get back to. Boston. Sorry about it. It is like. they're in love. It is a little bit of a. infatuation because you know the games. are in different cities. So obviously. Scotland fell in love with Boston, but I. was intrigued to see whenever Scotland.
has to go somewhere else what they're. going to do. Turns out they're going to. go to other places and judge it against. Boston the way they had the time of. their life. >> Yeah. And I feel like that is the. sentiment of most people after they go. to Boston like damn this is the best. city in the world just because of the. size of it, the amount of things you can. do, the waters right there. All that the. history of it. Exactly. Massachusetts. invented America, all those things. But. yeah, it is just truly been one of the. most perfect country to city matchups. And it does kind of remind you like, oh. yeah, Boston is the greatest [ __ ]. city in the world. I like that you.
masssholes uh not just America is. awesome from everybody. Remember Boston. actually the best part of the entire. thing. Good for you guys seemingly. always getting a chance to have another. parade. This one with a tartan army and. uh bag pipes. >> and the Norwegians now. >> Yeah. And they're coming into town. They're going to love it. The English. Nigel's coming up there. >> They better watch their mouth. Tell you. that much cuz wash their mouth or wash. their mouth. >> They should definitely wash cuz from. what I've seen those English love to. chew on them rocks. But also, they need. to watch their mouth cuz if you're.
talking about people from Massachusetts. now teaming up with Scotland, England. should be on their best behavior. We'll. just say that. And don't be [laughter]. drinking tea. >> Uh Paul River coming in. Speaking of. traveling, she's American Airlines, folks. >> Yeah, that was awesome. >> Hey, this is sick. >> Everyone jerseys and a welcome. Every. single every single seat on the flight. to Seattle had uh American jerseys. >> That's fire. >> That's that very rarely happens. Now, unless Team USA bought a deal with. American Airlines or something, or if. American Airlines I don't know how this.
came about, but I want to let you know. >> they're one of the sponsors of Team USA. And I wonder if they just assumed, hey, people on this flight are probably going. to the game. >> Yeah. And I love that they did it, you. know, cuz like stadiums whenever they. put out shirts, you think like, "Hey, stadiums or arenas do shirts. That's. cool." It's like 30,000 20 like the. amount of money that is spent on that. type of [ __ ] let alone the sizing and. what do you do and how do you get it. right? How do you get it wrong? >> Official ball on the package. them doing. this for the entire flight that's head. up there. Absolutely awesome. We know. the ticket pricing is crazy, but at. least there is a little gift package. that's seemingly coming alongside one of. the partners. I like that everybody's.
kind of all in here. >> Yeah, without a doubt. I mean, I feel. like we've been talking about it and. maybe, you know, I mean, we do a sports. show every single day, so it's a little. bit different, but it really does feel. like the World Cup has taken over. everything like whether you like sports. or not. And I don't really think it was. like that with the last World Cup. Maybe. it was because it was in Qar and now. it's in the US and it's just, you know, easier for people to get here. But like. it's what everyone is talking about and. it's and it's it's the main attraction. every night. >> Okay. So, it was my favorite thing of. the week. It was your favorite thing. It. was your favorite thing. It was your. favorite thing. We just brought up.
another thing that wasn't even a. favorite thing to talk about how it. could have been a favorite thing. Let's. go to nine-year NFL vet Darius J. Butler. We didn't have you the first. three week uh days of the week. We did. miss you. Thank you for uh joining us. here to wrap up the week. What was your. favorite thing of the week that. happened? I mean, I'll tell you what. I. didn't see the American Airlines thing, but uh number one, American Airlines, make sure you invite me back to concier. key status next year. [laughter] This. was awesome. I know we're celebrating. 250 America. American Airlines also. celebrating 100 years. So, hey, listen. and listen closely. Lock me in. But.
anyway, uh back to the World's Game, the. beautiful game. Just like Utah hated. soccer. Would never sit and watch. soccer. became kind of a casual fan more. so this year watching Arsenal in the. Premier League. But we all got World Cup. fever. We all been kicking about. watching the legends do it. Zlatan and T. honor all those guys. That's been. awesome. But when you talk about growing. the game and and. >> Lawless of course he's wouldn't go that. far, but the goat did show up. Maybe. some young goats too. The stars showing.
up. the stars this week. When we talk. about sports and growing the game, the. stars have to show up and be a big part. of that. Obviously, Balagun for us. We. got Erin Holland, we got dictator Mbappe. doing his thing, [laughter] and then the. goat who you guys had on a slip and got. help you get the crown went off with the. hattick. Obviously, Miami American. himself, Messi showing up as well. So, I. love that the stars showed up. I hope. they continue to show up. We'll see if. Ronaldo can join that train. Maybe some. other guys, but that has been my.
favorite thing of the week so far. >> Eric Kane knocks in a couple forgot. about him. Sorry about him. >> Yeah, just literally all the stars. except for Cristiano Ronaldo, so we. assume he'll come exploding on the scene. at some point. In his sixth World Cup, Messi hats a hat-tick. It's unbelievable. stuff. We were talking about this off. air because it's kind of it was kind of. my take about Messi about how much he's. done for soccer in the United States of. America. It's like just in general when. you talk about athletes, the hype always living up to what it is.
with him is outrageous. First game he. was playing for Inner Miami. They just. gave him a percentage of the league. I. think they gave him a percentage of the. Apple subscriptions to watch the MLS. It's like a historic deal. He turned. down a billion from Saudi to come do. this. This is going to be a massive. investment from MLS. Team inner Miami. team was ass. They were out of the. playoffs completely. Maybe worst team in. the entire league. His first game. playing there, we all watched. Everybody's like, "Hey, the greatest. player on earth is coming to play.". First time he touched the ball was like. a free kick. He scored. It was It was. like immediately everybody is there to.
watch him. He is expected to do. something every time he has the ball. And he does seemingly like every time he. is supposed to do something, he does. And it's uh. >> it's outrageous. I mean, you're talking. about one of the most consistently great. athletes just of all time. I I don't. know how he does it. Honestly, Gumpy, I. do not fully comprehend it. you know. soccer and have followed soccer a lot. closer than obviously us has a big- time. fan. I know Messi and Ronaldo have been. around forever and Ronaldo obviously. historically great soccer player. I'm. not saying that but Messi just every. time lives up to the the expect it's.
outrageous. Why why is he like this? Is. he just a robot? Like what how do we how. do we get to this point where he's still. this great all the time? >> He's always been like this from like a. young age but they always held it over. his head that he never won the World Cup. with Argentina. Like that was the one. thing and you saw him he retired from. Argentina multiple times. He missed a. massive penalty shot in a Copa America. game. But since he's won the World Cup, you can watch how free he's playing and. he's really enjoying everything. And. every game he just steps up like he did.
the other night and it's just expected. and we're never going to see anything. like this again. And I don't think. there's a discussion anymore of who's. the greatest of all time because he. proves it on every every stage every. time he takes the pitch. >> It really is. He never disappoints. like. he'll do something in every game that. makes you go like even a pass. He like. he'll ping a pass. It just like makes no. sense and nobody else is doing it on the. field. And once again he he'll just walk. casually. >> That's the it's still it looks. effortless still. Like it's not like oh. this guy's 38. It's like kind of like.
LeBron where you just marvel like how. the [ __ ] is this guy still doing it and. making it look this easy at his age. Like he he looks like he can just he can. do whatever he wants out there and he. always finishes. It's it's crazy. >> He's got power. He's got finesse. Mhm. >> He's got skill. He's got speed. >> That's why he's the goat. >> And like we talked about it, Inner Miami. just signed a young center back who's. really talented. Chicago signed. Leandowski. They sound Geretska who's. from Bayern Munich. Like since the World. Cup has started in America, there's been. three massive signings for the MLS. >> Well, I see even though the English.
Premier League is allegedly the best. league on earth, it only one World Cup. So. >> yeah, there's non-English guys. >> So if the USA wins, we can compare. leagues, right? MLS and Premier League. You don't have a choice really. >> Yeah. Head to head, whatever. >> Spain, too. I'm sure. >> I mean, their best players on England. don't play in England. Harry Kane plays. in Germany and J Bellingham plays in. Spain. >> Where do our guys all play? >> Not the MLS. England. They play. overseas, but that mean that's not what. that's not what we're saying here. >> No, once they win the World Cup, they're.
going to earn their way into the MLS. >> Mhm. >> Like Messi did. >> Yeah. I want to go play for the. Sounders. >> The Timbers. >> Yeah. I want to go play for the White. Caps. >> The Crew. >> Exactly. play for the Atlanta United. >> Messi earned his way to the MLS, which. >> Yeah, he won the World Cup. >> Yeah. >> Got it. >> For a long time, they didn't want him. until he won the World Cup. >> Was he in the world? Was he in MLS. before he won a World Cup? >> No, he had to qualify. >> So, so facto. That's what the MLS is. waiting for. If you win a World Cup, you.
can maybe come play in the MLS. >> Good luck, Harry Kane. >> Much luck. If he wins one for England, holy [ __ ] that'd be unbelievable. That. was the best game he's ever played for. England. He was [ __ ] playing defense. Blocked a shot with his balls at the end. of the game. He's dropping back. He's. all over the pitch. Him him and Jude. Bellingham are legitimately world class. players. It's It's at the back they're. going to struggle a little bit. That's. the problem. >> Harry Kane, great tan, too. He's uh. enjoying the United States of America. sun that we are seeing some European uh.
caucasoids uh see for the first time. both on the pitch and off the pitch. Harry Kane also just going by can't see. a Royals game. Yeah. Mhm. >> Stopping by Rolls game. >> How old is Ary? I feel like I've been. hearing his name for 20 years. I know. >> 32. >> 32 years old. Yeah. >> When did he go pro? >> Playing for Tottenham when he was 16. >> Damn. >> Yeah. We still don't know if he's 30 32. or 31. Maybe he might have a sauce. garden. >> Yeah. True. >> But yeah, he went to a Royals game. They. put him up in his suite. >> Tommy Tal. >> Tommy Tulle. Fire strike.
>> Strike. >> All these all these players now also. getting to experience America. Like in. between the games. What are you going to. do? I guess I'll go watch MLB game. They'll put me up in a suite. They'll. give me all the food. There's air. conditioning here. They'll wheel in an. IV if you want it. >> Did you see Alland? He was just pumped. to be walking through New York and no. one recognized him. >> I was about to say that's probably the. biggest part of coming here. Even you'll. see some videos of Messi down to like. South Florida like in a Publix or just. somewhere and people just not by them. No way they can do that. >> Don't say that because I see a lot of. people in the Instagram comment section. for the most famous athlete on earth and. they're saying some very disrespectful.
stuff the United States of America as if. we don't count into the population of uh. Earth. You know what I mean? >> Whenever Messi and Ronaldo weren't. number one and number two on the program. feud, >> that was kind of stupid. >> But. >> Messi should have been one, >> but Messi was above Tom Brady. So, we. can't just completely, you know, cuz all. all the comments were, "These must be. stupid Americans that were pulled." It. was like, "Well, stupid Americans would. have Tom Brady, I think, higher than. Messi." So, I don't know who all was. pulled. We weren't told exact. >> Average Americans. >> It was just sports fans. No, sports. fans. >> Average sports fans.
>> Messi, most famous. Messi, most famous. guy on Earth. Yes. No. >> Him or Ronaldo? >> Yeah. >> Cristiano Ronaldo. >> How do you go by fame that you know of. or recognize? How would how do we go by. >> both? >> Following uh Michael. >> I mean, we're talking about the world. >> Yeah. Messi, every soccer country, right? Every country that has soccer as. their main country, which is a lot of. countries. >> Messi can't, right? Messi as soon as he. walks. >> mobbed.
>> Boom. Yeah. >> That's the one. We're talking like all. of Europe, Asia. >> Yep. South America. >> South America. Africa as well, right? A. lot of soccer. Uh Australia. >> probably. >> maybe. I don't know because saying. they're not a soccer country. We'll find. out today. Soccer ruse. >> So he is mobbed immediately in all those. places, right? Is that what we're. expecting? >> Yes. >> Cristiano Ronaldo as well. >> Yes. the young kid Lamin Yamal like that. kid would be I mean he's not where those. guys are now but he would be I would put. him over most like NBA guys if you.
talking about like world. >> how about Michael Jordan Michael Jordan. any country you put him in he's getting. recognized. >> I think so dream team and then also his. like. >> he's 66 that's the big thing I think. like with LeBron being it's like they. Messi's tiny so he can kind of just like. you see LeBron it's like what the [ __ ]. is this thing. >> yeah I think you could throw Shaq in. there too because he has so much. physical quality there. >> Yeah, cuz anywhere he goes, you're going. to see him. >> Yes. Exactly. >> And I guess that goes back to Weby being. on there. It's like how many 75 people.
are you seeing? You're just not. >> anytime he is anywhere, he is the person. that everybody is looking for. >> You you just immediately stare at him. >> So does that become is that count as the. most famous athlete? Like what does the. most famous athlete mean? You know, is. it in person? Is it online? Is it Oh, >> I think I I would say let's say in. person like even let's say airports. around the world. But yeah, Wimby like. but like if you're talking about like. normal let's just talk about normalsized. humans because obviously you talk about. you know Jordan and Shaq and Wimi those.
guys you even if you don't know who they. are you're like what what is what's. going okay what the who is this guy but. like normal like a Tiger Woods would be. like a normalsized human like he would. be up in that category I think he should. be up there. >> I wouldn't put him in that category. >> so many commercials I I do wonder if. that's an international appeal. >> yes I I I bet you he could walk anywhere. internationally and probably not get. >> Yeah, I agree. I I think over there I. think I would say they they think most. white people look very similar, especially he had a helmet on for so.
long. It's just like he just looked like. this just a white guy. He's big, you. know? >> Tom Brady was married to Jazelle, right? >> An international superstar, so that. bumped his fame up. >> Also played in the Super Bowl 10 times. >> Super Bowl International. >> So like Travis Kelce, you know, I guess. because of Swift in like five 10 years. probably. Yeah. >> Will be potentially known as. >> Oh, yeah. >> It's interesting. That program feud was. so much fun. >> Mhm. >> Oh, yeah. >> Awesome. >> That was so much fun. >> I hope we get a chance to do that again.
>> Mhm. Same. >> The guys do it again. Need to [ __ ] a. rematch. >> I uh Is that how the game is going to. go? You guys are just going to get. rematched? Cuz I thought everybody was. saying to you guys, uh. >> oh. no, they weren't saying that. >> They were saying the Thunderdogs. more. like Thunder. [groaning]. NO. >> YEAH. WE WILL NFL Live out against some. other team. Let's see how entertaining. it is cuz they brought nothing to the. table except for poopy answers that only. other people knew. >> They That's in only thing that matters.
in the game. >> Well, okay. What you just said. entertainment entertainment has nothing. to do with the game. >> I I DID. >> We gave better answers. Let's see. >> I was very surprised that. >> the program feud gods did not punish. them for their lack of supportive good. answer, good answer to each other. You. know, I thought that was a massive piece. of it, but they were so cerebral. I. think that is why they ended up winning. And the Thunderdogs just had to sit. there. You actually sitting down pot and. saying, "Oh no, just lost the first ever. program.". >> I saw a lot of people saying the reason. they won is cuz they got 10 seconds to.
answer every question every [laughter]. time they went. >> No, they said if we're going to make. excuses, people continue to say to the. Thunderdogs, "Oh no, boys, you lost at. home. We don't have it." But I would. like to see because you guys I think. because it was being hosted here, you. guys would be the you started as champs, >> right? >> So I think to become the champs, you do. have to be the champs twice. >> Well, that was an exhibition, too. We. never we didn't Pink slips are not on. the line, belts were not on the line, you know. We didn't know that. >> Well, it was it was not a exhibition. It. was maybe the first certified one.
because there was actually mark. >> It's kind of like week zero. >> Kind of like week zero. Well said. >> Yep. >> Preseason. >> Never happened actually. >> Okay, so we're just moving on. We know. we got it set. We got the mics. We. >> set the entrances audio buttons. >> Yeah, we got it all figured out. >> Everything's good now. >> Also, a great match. I mean, it came. down to the last answer. I can't believe. they picked Brett Favre there. >> Yeah. I can't believe Brett Favre was. the final answer to have somebody else. beat you guys in our building. But. stupid. >> Yeah. I mean, that's how it goes. That's.
how it goes sometimes. Okay. So, the. next one will be for the title, though. >> Yeah. Okay. >> If we're able to have one. Now I will. take back my oh no to you guys. Okay, cuz you have a chance to write your. wrongs as does everybody. But boys, I. think THERE WAS SOME GOOD OH NO. [screaming]. this week, was it not tone? >> Yeah, we are going to start with the. shinikok oh nos. And we're going to. start with Patrick Reed. That's a P, not. an F. He is in the native area where a.
lot of people have been all week. AND HE. GOES. >> FROM THE NATIVE area to the native area. Probably grabbed the huzzle a bit there. AND THAT'S A BIG FAT. >> OH [screaming] NO. Let's go to the seventh hole after that. par three. JJ Spawn looked fantastic in. the all-white. He hits a beautiful shot. Arcing up in the air. You can see he's. still kind of in it at plus three. Lands. it right in front of the bunker.
Wonderful. Rolling. Rolling. Rolling. Rolling. >> Okay, we're good. >> Ball stopped. Finally. He's okay. Finish. out the TE's. Let's pick that thing up. Let's walk to our ball on the green. See. where we are. Give me that putter maybe. Oh, no. Wait. >> He He got shinock. >> He got Shinikok. Ball starts to roll. He's headed towards the bunker. Unfortunately for JJ Spawn. And I do. believe it was picked up on a hot mic. when he walked up to the green. HE JUST.
SAID, "OH, [groaning and screaming]. NO.". >> And then we're going to stay at. Shinikok, uh, because a lot of bad. things have happened. Uh, Billy Horchel, he's going to chip one up onto the. green. He's thinking, "Hey, I'm just. going to put this one right in the. center." Wait a minute. That's pretty. firm. That thing's moving pretty. quickly. Uh, please slow down. Slow. Okay. No, it's going to catch the slope. >> and it's going to roll about 45 yards. past the pin. No big deal, though. You. just got to take your medicine at. Shinnik. Play for par. So, what's he. going to do? He's going to chip it up. and.
>> Oh no. Oh. >> no. >> Wait. Just sit. Just sit. Just sit. Just. sit. Just sit. [screaming]. >> OH NO. >> GOD DAMN IT. THIS IS rolling right back. to my feet. But again, you know, that's. not a big deal. Okay. Hey, I'll I'll you. know what? I'll I'll I'll just take. bogey here. Double bogey. Uh and then. he's going to Oh no. He went right after. it. He ends up getting an eight. Billy. Horchel. MORE LIKE BILLY. OH, NO. [screaming]. All right, let's uh let's leave.
Shinnikok. Let's go international. Let's. go to what looks to be an English watch. party. The lad here who is in possession. of a few pints is wearing an English kit. uh at the English watch party, I. believe, against Croatia. And we've got. ANOTHER LAD HERE. OH, >> SLIDE TACKLE. >> SLIDE TACKLE. WE WENT STUDS UP slide. tackle. The pints are all over the. place. The man is embarrassed. His. friends are laughing in his face. JUST. AN ULTIMATE. OH, >> WAIT. IS THAT A WOR WHAT HAPPENED HERE? HOLD ON. HOLD ON. YEAH. And why did the.
guy with the two beers not immediately. get up and try to fight this guy? Guys, guy goes cleats up after he just brought. the beers down two pintines right to the. ground. And I don't know how this guy. doesn't get concussed face off the. ground. Was this a work? What? What? Is. this normal Gumpy? Is this soccer. normaly? People slide tackling each. other in public. >> Yeah, that's classic England. Boys are. on the piss just raising hell. You see. it when they score a goal in the pub. They just throw all their beers in the. air. They're just booze everywhere. It's. what it's all about for these England. lads. >> So maybe we shouldn't say.
>> oh no. >> Maybe it's uh oh. >> it's coming home. >> Not today. Not today. >> Coming home. >> Staying here. Yeah. Absolutely. Geez. Louise. That's an interesting thing. though. You think that would be a fight? >> Yeah. You think I mean but like I mean. we've all done that to our boys. tackle because it was clean. >> I mean there was a time where you were. doing the bottle bump. >> The bottle bump thing was certainly a. nightmare. >> The World Cup bottle bump.
>> you know that that trip the trip the. back leg the little back leg kick. People were doing that flat tire. >> wearing a couple holding a couple beers. and just pancing them penis out and all. >> Exactly. So then they got to do that. >> So I guess that's just the English way. do full commit cleats up high tackle to. a guy celebrating. >> Spill it both. I mean, certainly. So, I. guess it's NOT REALLY. >> OH, [screaming]. NO. WE STAY ON THE TRAIN THOUGH, DO WE. NOT? >> YEAH. Let's go to the Knicks parade. Uh, of course, great vibes. There's a lot of. different things we could have pulled. Guy twerking on the thing. The other guy.
passed out trying to make out with the. girl and then she basically says like, "Hey, I'm just trying to resuscitate. you. Stop." Let's go to Tyler Kohlick. He's having a great time. Obviously. celebrating with the fans. Didn't get. much burn. Uh, and that's why THIS COP. SAYS, "WHOA, SLOW DOWN, MY GUY. YOU. BETTER GET THE HELL OUT OF HERE. YOU ARE. NOT ON THE TEAM." YOU GOT A COUPLE. security guys coming over saying, "Whoa, Tyler Kick, he's a legend from. Marquette. He had the barbecue chicken. thing. He is a player on the Knicks. Please do not, you know, get him out of. here. Don't kick him out. He actually.
does play." But I believe these cops. didn't think it was Tyler Kolic. I. believe they thought it was Tyler. I'm a racist by the cops, but I would. say if you were to do uh if the cops all. were to run. >> and you were trying to stop the one that. wasn't a cop, I think the cop that. stopped Tyler would be the one that we. would say that doesn't look like a cop. and that's what cops look like. We. didn't know that's what they look like. So, I think there could be a couple of. little uh misunderstandings here. But, I. do appreciate the fact that a guy who.
does appear to be somebody that could be. in the crowd is now a world champion. with the New York Knicks. And I seen him. with a microphone on top of a parade. I. I think Tyler was living his best life. Congrats to all the Knicks. And to that. cop, people are gonna say, "You don't. know ball.". >> And to that we say, "OH. NO, >> LET'S STAY in New York on the diamond.". Jazz Chisum for the Yankees. Uh, you. know, we got a two- two count here. Tie. game in the bottom of the fourth. [groaning]. >> Oh boy. Oh, >> he's Yeah. Oh, no is right. He's a uh.
he's going to clip the top of that. baseball. And you can see it bounces. right off home plate. Hits him directly. in the penis. I mean, we're not we're. not talking like little bit of one nut, little bit of the other nut. That hits. him and. >> clearly the twig and berries. >> Yeah, exactly. Both. And and you can see. Jazz is just dying. He's dying right. away. Um, rumor has it he did he he left. the game immediately. He did not finish. the at bat. His you can see all the boys. are laughing cuz it's funny. Uh, they. weren't laughing in the clubhouse when.
Jazz's penis swelled up to the size of. one of those torpedo bats because Yeah, it was a direct hit. I mean, once again, just boom, >> he [laughter] left the game. >> Yeah, he left the game immediately. Immediately. He had I mean, that what. what are you going to do? >> JAZZ. >> We are so sorry to hear that. That is no. fun. He had the puking feeling. I mean, he had everything. That was a tough. tough outing for Jazz. I hope he's okay. because if I know any if I think I know.
anything about Jazz, he is the def he's. not wearing a cup. He's one of those. guys who he's not wearing a cup. >> No way. >> Yeah. Absolutely not. Which for for an. infielder, you know, you typically are. going to do that because you might take. a bad hop and a ground ball might hit. you right in the twig and giggle. You're. not thinking you're going to hit one off. the the front of the bat and it's going. to hit you directly in the penis and. that thing's going to swell up to the. size of your baseball bat. But that's. what happened. I hope he's not out too. long. >> We hope he's okay. Yeah, I do. >> Kings and PS everything affected. >> Yes, >> but I can't help but GO [groaning].
>> BASEBALL. More of it. >> Yeah. Let's stay in the baseball world. Let's go to second base. Uh where the. runner is coming in, SLIDING IN THERE, AND OH, he's [screaming]. >> Oh, >> wait a second. Wait a second. She run. that back. >> That's actual on purpose. >> Yeah, that was intentional. >> That was intentional. The more I watch. this, that was intentional the entire. time. This kid probably was chirping off. earlier in the game. Decided to give one. right to the face. >> Actual punch a debut. Actual punch out.
right here. Now, we broke this down a. little bit earlier in the week. It I do. think the ump was so focused on the call. >> on punching him in the face. >> and where it was. Guy was also safe. So, so we think he got the call wrong and. punched Guy out. >> Uh so for all parties here, we can't. HELP BUT SAY, "OH. NO.". >> ALL RIGHT. WE appreciate you all. Uh. there's one more here and this one this. one is devastating. >> Yeah. >> Uh this one is an oh no that'll lead us. into the greatest weekend of all time. >> Yeah. There's a chance you can uh.
probably put this one up there for the. Hall of Fame. Let's go to Germany bike. race. [laughter]. Uh unfortunately some guy maybe was. blind, maybe didn't see that there was a. bike race going on. He takes his scooter. [laughter]. right into the lane and basically causes. a 50 car pileup. The equivalent to I. think you know to Jazz Chisum. I think. this guy's dealing with the same exact. thing. I believe we had a couple nuts. [laughter] right to the bike. It was. very very tough for this live. >> Couple of pints obviously in the hands. of the spectators here. Obviously get. out there and watch these bicycles fly.
around. Is this in the tour? >> Is this the tour to France? >> This is not the tour to France. >> We don't the obviously the biking racing. world is gigantic in Europe throughout. the mountains and everything like that. Uh Tim McAfee was actually a uh. triathlete so uh we were doing a lot of. biking. I was watching him do some. biking growing up. We went to one of. these uh races and uh everybody came. through except for uh Tim Mackey. Where. the hell is this guy? Uh we have no. idea. So we start walking back, you.
know, and we see him carrying his bike. over his shoulder and his helmet. [laughter] in like a thousand pieces and. he's just click clacking down. He ended. up obviously missing a turn going into. the woods hitting a tree. The [ __ ]. the bike explodes. Okay. His helmet. explodes and he has to walk down. So, obviously my mom uh Sally McAfee made. him take like a 2-year hiatus from the. entire thing cuz he almost died while we. were there. But those bike crashes, holy. [ __ ] they are devastating. We'll see. them, too. Yeah, they're flying and. they're on the wheels are this wide. The.
wheels are this wide. So, it's like. >> the pile up it causes. >> Yes. And the there's a slide. There's. impact and then there's also slide. So, it's concussion and broken bone. possibilities. I mean, even death and. obviously the absolute worst case. scenario, but then you're sliding on. concrete as well. So it's like the old. burn that it's rash absolute worst and. it feels like we see a lot of them come. out of these uh races. >> People will walk across and just get. absolutely sideswiped. In this case the. brakes I think the brakes probably. didn't. >> it didn't do much.
>> It flipped them. >> No, but I'm saying on the cart. I mean. >> on the the chair I think on the. wheelchair. >> What are you doing? >> I think the brakes didn't saw I think. there was Oh no. And then we're out. there already. >> trying to watch it. He couldn't see. >> No serious injuries were reported. We. have to report that obviously, BUT. CERTAINLY ONE MASSIVE OH, [screaming]. NO. >> ALL RIGHT, LET'S GO. GET READY for this. TEAM USA GAME. >> [ __ ] CALL, BOYS. >> HEY, BOYS. Great work on uh the Oh, no. There you go. Great work on the no. >> Put one in here. It's good.
>> Remember, this is not a universe ball. >> Nope. Nope. >> Good line. Good ball. Good touch. Okay, we will continue to attempt that at the. end of every show that we are live for. until the end of the World Cup. A. $50,000 giveaway could have happened if. that World Cup ball would have went into. that hoop. But what we do know can. happen right now still and we have 11. minutes and 56 seconds left until the. USA is scheduled to kick off against.
Australia. You can come join us on. DraftKings for America's Game Two. guarantee. You have to opt in at the. top. You then will apply your token. after you make your three-way gamble on. the United States of America. If USA. wins, you will win. Obviously, if USA. draws or loses, you will get your wager. back in bonus bets. We can't thank. DraftKings enough for doing this. >> This is a true patriotic feel. It is. >> This is a true team ride. This is a. true, hey, let's go. If you're 21 plus. uh plus and promise not to have a. gambling problem and not think that.
you're going to be able to become a. millionaire from sports gambling, we. hope you will join us on DraftKings and. kind of have a little bit of action on. Team USA as we watch the boys continue. to try to get to the top of the world. >> Hell yeah. >> What a time to be alive major this. weekend at Shinnok. Obviously baseball. is happening as well. We'll be back on. Monday recapping it all. We can't thank. you enough for allowing us to do this. for a living. Great great work this. week. Back room. [applause] Great work, boys. >> Good week, boys. >> Touch of class, boys.
>> It's I mean, it's come over me. It just. I don't know what I don't know what else. to say. >> Talk to the table. Congratulations. Great work this week. >> You too, man. Good for. >> one half of the hammer. >> Cowboys AP Tone. The other half of the. Hammer Don. Cowboys Bubba Gumpino. Great. work this uh week, boys. >> You too, boys. Great work, boys. >> Nine. Your NFL vet Darius Jay B. We. appreciate the hell out of great work. this week. >> Work. Happy Father's Day this weekend. All you boys, >> you too. >> Happy Father's Day. Don't forget. >> graphic design boys. Great workplace.
>> Taco. >> Hey, baby. >> Ho. >> Be a friend. Tell a friend something. nice might change their life. We can't. thank all of you. >> enough for allowing us to do this for a. living. And we think that all of you. >> see the world the same way that we do. We just think that sports are literally. the greatest thing to ever be created. because it doesn't matter where you're. from, what you believe in, how you go.
about your life. Me and uh you can find. common ground on something special. happening. When athletes give their. entire lives to something and a mission. is trying to be accomplished. This. weekend we celebrate sports, we. celebrate life, and we celebrate the. United States of America winning the. [ __ ] World Cup. Yeah, >> we'll see it. >> We'll see you on Monday. Be a friend. Tell a friend something nice might. change your life. We're in this thing. together. We love you. >> Team on me. Team on three. 1 2 3.
Goodbye.
