If you.
are a young, please seek permission. before watching any further. Hey, let's go. >> This [cheering] show sticks and the fact. that you listen, we are very, very. thankful for on the line with a gorgeous. assist. >> The alltime leading tackler for the. sport. Hello beautiful people and welcome to. our humble the boat the draft kings. thunderdome [music]. on this feelgood Friday July 31st 2026. this program begins now. football. >> he is the absolute greatest [music] and. we got huge contracts being announced. around camps we got huge problems being. spotlighted around camps and we got. highlights in abundance for today's.
Friday special not ass segment life is. fantastic Fantic. We hope you are. enjoying this feelgood Friday. The toxic. table is here at AP Tone and at Ty. Schmidt. Con man, [applause]. >> love you, Connor. Obviously, Connor got. married one week ago today. He has been. celebrating his life uh for the last. week or so. Excited for him to get back. on Monday where we will be live from. >> Latroe, >> Pittsburgh Steelers Training Day. >> That's right. >> That's going to be on Monday. Now, uh.
I'll be excited to see how that goes. We. just learned today that uh obviously. they'll be practicing during our show. So that'll be happening behind us. But. obviously talking to people associated. with team during practice is a difficult. thing. I believe maybe last half hour or. so of show we'll be able to chitchat. with some of the guys. We'll be fun to. catch up. Mike McCarthy's winning people. over. A lot of people saying he's not. tackling and they're it's going to be. soft. He's like make no mistake. It's. going to be physical. All right. >> It's going to be a physical. >> We got an older roster. We're just.
trying to get the these guys know how to. tackle. But if they don't know how to. tackle, how about this? >> I'll fire myself. >> If these professional football players. at this stage, a lot of old guys on that. team. Oh, yeah. If they don't know how. to tackle, that'll be on me. But people. in Pittsburgh are saying, "You're not. you're not taking these. You're not. going to the ground. I thought you were. a Pittsburgh guy. You want the Dallas. and got soft." Oh, Green Bay. That's. cute. Is that Here in Pittsburgh, we. tackle people. Mike McCarthy said, "Get. get off my ass, please." All right. We'll be thumping. Monday will be first day of pads. We'll. be excited to see the juice from that.
particular practice as opposed to what. we saw maybe last year. Now Tone, it's. not just the Pittsburgh Steelers who are. in training camp. Everybody's in. training camp. And there's a lot of. money given to a wide receiver down in. New Orleans. Congratulations to Ohio. State Buckeye Chris Lave. >> All right, [applause]. he earned this. Now listen, not a lot of. people talking about the Saints over the. last few years. And Olive did have a. year in which he had, I believe, a. concussion and had some injuries. So he. missed some games. I think he only had. 32 receptions in that particular season, but three out of the last four years. he's had over a thousand yards. Last. year he had a 100 catches over 1,000.
yards. Did his best work in Kelly Moe's. offense and now he's getting rewarded. from that. A lot of people high on the. Saints and I'll tell you what, them. giving Olive over $100 million. Now you. have to spend money. Y. >> okay, the NFL roster salary cap. structure, you actually do have to spend. money. So, somebody is going to get paid. them paying him all this money. >> and then you look over there at Tampa. Bay and it's like. >> Tampa Bay has got a lot of bad vibes. Saints got a lot of good vibes. Could. have never guessed that going into the. season, but that's where we sit. Saints.
could be a real problem and we've kind. of ruled them out over the last couple. years because they were in such salary. cap hell. They were in such a situation. where I think even the team themselves. said going to be we got one we got two. arms tied behind our back basically for. about a year or two. We went all in for. about 10 15 years straight. Now they're. on the other side of that. Kelly Mo is a. little bit more experienced as a head. coach. They obviously are able to keep. uh Kamar there. They bring in a Chan. They got their quarterback although he's. 27. He's only in his second year. You're.
able to pay your wide receiver. Defense. still has some stuff. It's like hold the. phone. Are the Saints a problem this. year in an NFC South that has a lot of. question marks? And with the vibes we're. feeling from the second day of camp, I'm. saying yes to the N O pal. >> Yeah. Yeah, when like when you talk. about vibes in the NFC South, the Saints. definitely have the best vibes coming. into the season. They are second in the. odds in the division, but when you look. at the other teams, like the Bucks vibes. not great right now. The Panthers had. really good vibes coming in, but they've. already had two season ending injuries. to two of their young guys who they.
thought may contribute this year. So, the Panthers vibes a little down. Obviously, they won the division last. year. We still think they're going to be. very good, but like in the the Falcons, they don't know who their quarter. quarterback's going to be. So, when you. go with the Saints, the vibe's really. high. They feel like they found their. young quarterback. They've got weapons. >> He's middle-aged. >> You're right. Middle-aged young. quarterback, secondyear quarterback, but. they drafted Jordan Tyson as a weapon. for him. They have a Jawan Johnson at. tight end who's a great weapon. A lav. and this time last year, people were. wondering if a was like going to play. football again because of his. concussions and injury. But though, three of the last four seasons, as you.
said, over a thousand yards. This it the. internet was like really really felt. really good for Lav yesterday because of. what he dealt with the season before. they everyone was seemed to be really. really happy for him yesterday. So it. was awesome. >> Ohio State wide receivers now in the NFL. and I know LSU says they are wide. receiver you and they certainly have the. argument. Ohio State though they are. pumping hot. Terry McLaren obviously we. know how we feel about him. We think. HE'S AN ABSOLUTE DO from Indianapolis by. the way. Garrett Wilson we've seen him. become the face of the Jets over there.
Olive now signs for 132. And then. Jackson Smith and Jigbas fresh off an. offensive MVP where he got two trophies. Yeah. Okay. Not just uh one trophy cuz. they spelled a word wrong. and he got. 168 million in total. And then everybody. in Arizona is like, "All right, so now. >> see what. >> Maserati Marv is going to get going. Going to get going." Hopefully he will. I saw Carson Beck making some plays over. there. I saw Jacobe spinning a little. bit. That is kind of what this time of. year is about is just finding out who. can make a splash play once every 3 days.
so that the internet's happy with their. success. There's so much going on. We're. only seeing glimpses of it. Tai, how are. you taking it all? >> Uh yeah, same same deal. You know, you. see a guy every once in a while get. really excited. Okay, he's gonna he's. posed to have a big year. He's gonna. have a big year. Like when I'm watching. the Packers anytime Jordan Love has a. completion, Matthew Golden had a pretty. big day yesterday and I just said, "Okay, sign, sealed, and delivered. Matthew Golden's going to have 1400. yards this year. [laughter] He's going. to have 12 touchdowns. He is going to be. the number one guy." So, it's a lot of. that kind of stuff. And then it really. is more so than anything else just. holding your breath that none of your.
guys who you know you're going to need. down the stretch are going to get hurt. Yeah, getting hurt is obviously. something we're all watching for Chef. and Rap's uh Twitter accounts to keep us. updated and obviously the local. reporters on the beat. We appreciate. that. But you talk about highlights. >> Did we remember? >> Yeah, >> Penguins are waddling around at altitude. all of a sudden. >> I forgot. I'll admit. >> Well, here's a nice little reminder. Waddle boom is a member [clears throat]. of the Denver Broncos with Bo Knicks and. Shawn Payeyton as the offensive mind. I.
believe he's not calling plays, but. still obviously in the building. Waddle. being added to an AFC Championship. Denver Broncos offense that with Boone. Knicks only getting better. This is. something that until I saw this. highlight, I wasn't fully like, "Oh. yeah, holy hell. Waddle is a stud and. Wadd's open, Wadd's tough. Waddle's. fast. Waddles a lot." And Waddle wasn't. talked about much whenever he goes up to. the Denver Broncos this off seasonason. He's going to make magic for him. This. is just like the AJ Brown thing with New. England. It doesn't really I don't think.
it's really going to hit us until like. some massive implications are on the. line and AJ Brown does something that AJ. Brown has been doing since he got into. the NFL and we go, "Oh yeah, AJ Brown is. now a member of the New England. Patriots. Can't believe Drake May has. another weapon." That Wadd Boicks thing. I I I think I just kind of, oh, not a. big deal. And then you see him and it's. like, oh yeah, Wadd is a dog and now. he's on a team that's actually a. contender. I I personally thought it was. criminal when I looked at the DraftKings. odds and saw that the Denver Broncos. were third in the AFC West right now as.
far as odds to win the division. Like. they they won that division last year. They made it to the AFC Championship. Their O line's been together for five. years. Their defense had the most sacks. I believe in the NFL last year. They're. absurd. Um their their secondary is. absurd. Then you add Wadd. Courtland. Sutton's been great. Is he a true number. one? Maybe, maybe not. But he's a great. 1A 1B for Wadd. And then they have all. those young wide receiver uh w talented. wide receivers as well. I think I don't. know if people are sleeping on the. Broncos, but for them to be behind the. Chiefs uh in the Chargers. I know the.
Chiefs are the Chiefs, but for them to. be third in that division seems a bit. weird. >> Bonito almost won what? Defensive MVP. last year, you know, let alone everybody. else they have on their team that are. absolute stars, but Denver Broncos kind. of getting overlooked. And also brand. new practice facility. >> Beautiful. Huge. I the drone artist that. did this. Congratulations. We appreciate. it. Obviously, great view of their new. practice facility. It's a lot of. walking, you know, it's a lot. It feels. like a long way on a drone as we were. getting a chance to kind of walk every.
hallway, see every room. They inevitably. end up getting to the locker room and to. the workout room. This is all front. office stuff, I do believe that we're. seeing here. Brand just opened in July. I mean, they got a brand new facility. They got the richest owner in the sport, right? I believe. >> they got Shawn Payeyton who's now has. his team and his vision. They add Wadd. Bo Nicks has a chip on his shoulder. I. assume he gets removed from the biggest. game of his life literally in a. heartbreaking way at the very end. It's. like, yeah, he did. He put his ankle on. his shoulder as a chip. It's like the. Denver Broncos are a problem. And I'm.
saying all that. >> strictly because I saw Waddle snag it. one-handed. [laughter] That's all we. need. That is all you need at this time. of year. Joining us, ladies and. gentlemen, live from an attic in Ohio is. a Super Bowl champion, a college. football champion, a RDER Cup winner. And Amanda was probably looking at that. practice facility saying, "Man, they. don't make them like they used to, do. the AJ Hawk. Hawker, did you follow that entire. drone?" It it continues here. This is. like kind of uh I think for the front. office, maybe the ad salespeople. Wait. until they get to the players area. The. players area is absurd, AJ. It is a uh.
ridiculous new beautiful facility. Richest owner in sports certainly helps, but the Broncos and Shawn Peyton's. Broncos all in. Now, I will say the. barber shop's bigger than the running. back's room, which does make you kind of. question some things, but beautifully. done. Love the drone footage. Love the. waddle highlight. And these are the. types of things we're looking for in. training camp that make us go, "Oh, wait. a minute. Maybe there's a barber. Look. how big the barber shop is. It's bigger. than a running back room." But the uh. Good idea, by the way, everybody's in.
there getting a fresh cut. Makes you. feel good. There's a little uh field for. you guys to work out in. And then. they're going to get to the gym here in. a couple seconds. This is the dining. area obviously for the boys, you know, for the lads. Go ahead and check it out. Do what you got to do. That's a lot of. walking. It's a long walk. >> So big. >> It's a long walk. I mean, that's a very. long. >> a college campus. >> Yeah, it is. Uh, it is beautiful. AJ, Denver Broncos vibes. Here it is. Look. at the locker room. >> Wow. >> Yeah, it looks like a movie. It actually. looks like a movie. I I don't know if I. like the down in the middle, you know? >> Like sunken in. It's like a sunken in.
hangout spot, huh? Yeah. You got to go. down the steps right there in the middle. of the locker room. >> Yeah, cuz look at the gym. >> I mean, this is awesome. [laughter] This. is awesome. >> Broncos might win the Super Bowl. >> And that helps in free agents in. college, right? Or sorry, in NFL, right? >> Uh, no. >> No, money helps. >> Okay. Well, yeah. >> Yeah. I mean, it's got a lot of that. Let's say the money's the same. So, >> it doesn't hurt. Doesn't hurt. >> Money is the same. The fact that they. can run for a championship still. Yes. You know, that is a big contender. Yes. Prime time games. Yes. What's my life. going to be like? Well, everybody that's.
ever lived in Denver said it's the. greatest. What's the practice facility. like? Oh, it's the newest and nicest. Okay. It certainly doesn't. It checks a. box, >> but I I don't think it's really like a, "Hey, you seen our facility? How about a. $4 million cut? [laughter]. >> Somebody's got to pay for this. You see. the pools? I mean, they're gigantic.". Joining us now, ladies and gentlemen, is. senior NFL insider for ESPN, Adam. [applause] Sher. >> Sheffy with a cold play. Okay. >> What's uh what's my favorite Cold Play. song? >> Uh Viva Levita. >> Sky.
[singing]. >> [singing]. >> That's them. >> Yeah. >> Yeah. You were doing a sky full of. stars, though. That's That's a banger. >> You're a. sky. >> They would be great in the sphere. >> Coldplay would. >> You were all yellow. >> Yep. They do that one, too. >> What's that? I don't think I know that. >> They're concerts in general. >> That was the Beatles there you just did.
>> That was cold play. >> Coldplay. Yeah. >> They have a lot of flags, right? A lot. of flags. >> Mhm. Yeah. >> Flying a lot of flag. You go to a. Coldplay concert, chef. You fly the flag. a little bit. >> Last summer we went in Toronto and I. will say it was one of the great. concerts I've ever been to and look. forward to going again. It was. incredible. Went with my wife. I capt. didn't get captured on the kiss cam but. with my wife [laughter] but did go and. my daughter and I forgot about it was. awesome. It was honestly they're they're. amazing. They're amazing. >> Just the amount of uncomfort that Chris, right? >> Yeah. Chris Martin. Chris had probably.
the week after that whole thing just how. Oh my god. Oh my god. Are we gonna be. laugh? Like what are they gonna do? Uh. that is not what our supposed to be. We're supposed to have a good time here. We're supposed to see Chefy and his wife. smooching. You know, [laughter] we're. not supposed to be doing all that. All. right, Chefy. Uh let's talk a little bit. about sports. Uh let's talk a little bit. about the league. Olve obviously gets. paid in a huge way. Three out of the. last four years has been over a. thousand. We were talking about how the. vibes in New Orleans very high. I mean. last couple years I feel like they. punted they understood the situation.
They keep Kamar obviously Taesm Hill's. done there. They pay Olive. They bring. in Achan. Tyler Shuck might be a guy. The defense has dogs all across the. board. Kelly Moe's a little bit more. experienced. And then you go over to. Tampa and it's like well everybody hates. everything over there. They're actually. coming out and saying disappointed and. disrespected. Starting quarterback. saying that. And the stud on the. defensive side says get me the hell out. of here. So, whenever we're reading. these types of vibes and situations this. early, should we jump the gun as quickly. as saying are the favorite in the NFC. South and oh yeah, the Denver Broncos,
they're going to win Super Bowl. He's. got a new practice facility and Jaylen. Wadd will snag the one-handed catch. Should we read into the vibes of these. buildings right now or how do you kind. of describe what's going on in these. different places, more specifically New. Orleans in Tampa Bay? >> I think there's always something to the. vibes that are going on around a team in. New Orleans. I think there have been. great vibes around that team all through. the off seasonason. I think they're on. the way back. I think anybody that. watched Tyler Shuck last year recognized. right away that he looks like a big hit.
for them. He looks like they got it. exactly right. And when you watch that. guy play in the second half last year, he looked like he's going to be a big-. time quarterback to me. And if that is. indeed the case, then yeah, I think the. Saints absolutely can win that division. I think I expect them to make a playoff. run this year and I think they'll be a. dangerous team and especially if you. look at their schedule. It's not overly. daunting. The team is really good and. the quarterback that's everything. They.
hit on that pick. It looks like it looks. like we'll still see. It is early. When. you watched him play last year, he. looked like he belonged. And if that's. the case, then they're going to be a. good team for years to come. >> I concur. And then you look over at. Tampa Bay, it feels all negative. And uh. if you just continue to dissect both of. these, it's like, are they in a new era? Tampa Bay trying to get to it right now. Are they trying to get to a new era? Potentially move on from Mike Evans. Vea. wants out. Baker Mayfield's not happy. David retires. They're dealing with all. that right now. And then the Saints,
they're in a new era. And Kell Moore, you know, think about what the Eagles. complaints were last year. Everything. about the Eagles last year was like this. offense stinks. Jaylen stinks. AJ's mad. offensive coordinator. It's like, well, Kelly Mo left, you know, and uh nobody's. really talking about how much Kelly me. or Kell meant to Philadelphia. And then. we see what we're saying right now for. the Saints. It's like maybe Kell does. kind of have a little bit of some. to them and leadership and obviously. being able to run a team. I'm pumped for. them cuz that fan base.
>> Yes. >> Psychos. Yes. Great. >> Yeah. We we we need them to be back in. the fold in a big way. And they had just. kind of been at the bottom of the map. just like they for a while. them coming. back. Good news. Congrats to Chris. Okay, let's talk about some other news. and things that are happening. Go ahead, Ty. >> Chefy, Debo Samuel is going back to the. 49ers. Is Ricky Pieraw It kind of sounds. like he might be done for the year? Uh, another just bad string of luck for. them. But was this kind of always in the. cards? Do you think Debo was kind of. just waiting for maybe something like.
this? And are the 49ers exploring. anything else? Are they pretty. comfortable with him? And now that. Deshawn Stribbling looks like he's uh. you know making a big impact in camp so. far. >> Well, the truth of the matter is Debo. had been talking to the 49ers all along. And the 49ers had told him that they. were interested in bringing him back to. San Francisco for weeks. There were. actual conversations that occurred. between Kyle Shanahan and Debo Samuel. And I think Debo obviously was looking. to see what kind of deal he could land.
in the open market. And when those deals. that he's looking for don't materialize. and those conversations with San. Francisco continue on and all of a. sudden there are questions about Ricky. Piol who by the way right now is. continuing to meet with doctors. He's. got another meeting planned for Monday. right now with another doctor. But he's. going through his meetings with doctors. and there are absolute questions about. you know if and when he'll be able to. play this season that have to be. answered still by the doctors. Uh the. niners have been talking to Debo. No.
other offers had materialized meaningful. offers. And so in the end, we've seen. what San Francisco can do with Debo, how. the 49ers utilize him. He's dangerous in. their offense, and I would imagine he'll. be a factor again this year. It worked. out really for both sides. That's really. where he should be playing. And they're. fortunate that nobody else stepped up. and signed him, and they were there for. each other when the 49ers needed to add. another receiver last night. It sounded. like your washerd dryer or microwave.
potentially was singing sky full of. stars in the back there. Happy you're. getting some fresh linens potentially. Here's a Hembo stat that says the slant. god going back to Brock Birdie could be. a good thing. 2023 2024 5.8 yards after. catch per completion. Fourth highest in. the NFL. We know Debo is uh filled with. a lot of that. 2025 lowest in the NFL. >> So, you know, maybe a little bit after. catch could come back with Debo coming. back to the Niners. Understands the. culture. will certainly buy into the hey. we're rallying around Shanahan we're.
doing this entire thing especially after. the car accident and how scary crazy. that all seemingly was and roll out of. so I like dbo. >> box. going back there yeah with Trent. >> Mhm. He's one of the mascots. >> Yeah, he that's right. >> Yeah, Debo. >> He was one of the mascots. >> Yeah, he was. Was it Trent, too? Are we. gonna say that? >> Is that Is that how this. >> By definition, he is one of the mascots. as well? >> What a goofball. [laughter] That guy. keeps getting microphones. I have no. idea how it's possible. Let's continue. to move uh forward around NFL stories.
Go ahead, AJ. >> Yeah, Chef. Obviously in Cleveland, we're seeing all the they're posting the. stats between Deshawn Watson, Shadore. I. guess what is your hunch on what their. opening day starting situation looks. like at the quarterback position? >> Well, that's when you know there's a. quarterback competition when every beat. rider is charting every throw and. they're posting the stats and the. attempts and completions from each. practice, touchdowns, interceptions. >> Um, I don't have a guess for you right now, AJ, because I think there's going to be. a lot that plays out this summer. I.
think it's between Deshawn Watson and. Shador Sanders. Like, it's hard to. imagine that Deshawn Watson is even in. this point. Nobody would have thought he. would have been competing for a starting. job at this stage in his career with. everything that's gone on there. And. Shador Sanders has looked better and. better and look more and more. comfortable. And I they're going to let. these two guys duke it out this summer. playing in the preseason. We'll see. which guy rises up. I think it's. anybody's job right now. >> Well, come Deshawn Watson uh has to look. over there and see his competition's.
DAD. YEAH. [laughter]. >> ON THE FIELD. NOW, obviously the. internet's going to have the reactions. that the internet has, but I think if. you were to ask any NFL coach if Deion. Sanders would be welcome at their. practice, first ballot hall of famer, one of the greatest athletes and. football players to ever play, I think. every coach would say, "Yeah, I I I. think we'd let And guess what? when. Payton Manning's son is potentially. going into a team, >> I assume Payton's gonna be welcomed at a.
lot of training camps as well and. allowed to walk on the field. Uh I. assume same thing with like a Ray Lewis, you know, I think people have forgotten. because Colorado has kind of become ass. over the last year or so. I think a lot. of people have forgotten who the hell. Dion Sanders is. Like I I I think people. see him as potentially coach of Colorado. and maybe down there at Jackson's or. whatever the case is. This is one of the greatest football. players that has ever existed in every. league that he has ever played in. So, everybody that is around ball holds. prime in a different category. So, if he.
wants to come to train, hell, if he. wanted to go to the Pittsburgh Steelers. training camp with his son competing for. quarterback with the Browns, Mike. McCarthy would be like. >> certainly let the we're not going to. give him a play sheet. We're. going to have him in here. I think it is. fascinating though the immediate. response to Prime being there and. because his son is competing for the job. that there's negative that comes from. it. It's like. >> you know what. >> I hate to break it to you. Dion's going. to be welcome at any training camp. Go. ahead. >> That's also people that don't know. Prime. Prime is positivity. Prime is.
inspirational. Prime is motivational. You want that guy around every team. He's he he knows how to lift up people. Uh to me, zero issue. I I think he. should be there more than he is. Well, he's also got a team, you know, that. he's got a coach here coming up. But. he's got to be what, nine toes down now. Yeah. Is that what it is? He got to be. nine toes down for Colorado, but also. his son, also the NFL and football as a. whole. Uh I love that he made an. appearance here and watched him there. I'm like, can we get him a cart? You. know, we got him walking pretty far. Can. we get this guy a damn golf cart? But. that might have been too much. That.
might have been a little bit too much. Uh AJ, the question around the Browns is. who's the quarterback. What if they. figure it out, though? They're paying on. the defensive side. >> What if the Browns go on a run? AJ, there's a chance that that's going to. happen. Let's stay in Ohio. Chefy, Cincinnati's just fighting each other. They're just fighting over there. Have. you gotten any word out of Cincinnati. Bengals camp about uh a new edge maybe. coming from the defensive side? AJ. pointed something out yesterday. He's. like, you know what, the Bengals have. started slow, what, the last five. seasons basically since Joe. So, first.
day them getting into it a little bit. What are you hearing from Cincy? And uh. is Sexy Dexis's presence literally this. big of a game changer for that defensive. side, which it feels like has a lot more. energy and buzz than they've had over. the years. >> They have made some impressive moves on. the defensive side of the football. They. knew how bad the defense was. They went. out and addressed it. Dexter Lawrence. was the big acquisition. There he was in. this particular clip where he uh told. Joe Burrow, "I want to see it today.". And Joe Burrow said, "I'm going to bring. it every day, baby." And [laughter].
I think that Dexter Lawrence brings a. certain element of talent and leadership. to that lineup. Um, they added other. players. They know how important this. year is. And I I view the Bengals the. same way that I view the Saints as a. team that last year didn't have the. season go the way they wanted. That this. year has a real chance to make a real. run. That has a favorable schedule. That. has the talent in place that people. aren't expecting. Look, if we go back. and look, there have been at least four.
new teams, at least four, that have made. the NFL playoffs every single year for. the last 36 seasons. It's not accidental. that we get new playoff teams every. year. And I won't be surprised when. we're talking in December and January if. we're talking about whether the Saints. and Bengals can lock up their playoff. spots. I view them both in a similar. light. Oh, Shifty's got him on a T-R. coming hard. >> Yeah, that's right. >> The these two are coming real hard.
>> We're talking coming and not stopping. coming. >> We're talking about fire hose coming. We're talking coming on the way. Do you. hear that, AJ? That's what She's saying. about the Cincinnati Bengals and the New. Orleans Saints. >> Shifty. I didn't know Sheffy was as high. on the the Browns and the Saints coming. hard. I guess. he was he was going pretty hard on it. all. Yeah, he's going real hard. >> He's going real hard on the Bengals and. the Saints. He said they're.
>> Yep. coming. All 17 games, all 18 weeks. Coming once, coming twice. Making a. three come shot. Think coming. Coming. thing. >> Yeah, [laughter]. >> they're coming. >> Well said. >> That's right. They're coming. >> Mhm. >> The Bengals coming. >> Boom. >> Put on a shirt. >> Saints coming. >> Yep. >> Shy said four teams that didn't make the. playoffs will make the playoffs this. year. That's just kind of how it is. >> At least. At least. >> they're all coming. Maybe, you know, maybe all the teams that didn't. >> Who's not coming then? Who? Someone's. got to be. >> Well, four, you know, sputtering then. Four of the teams got to be sputtering.
out there. Not coming. >> Well, four teams that made the playoffs. last year kind of blew their load last. year. They uh they have no chance of. coming again. No. >> And that's kind of the parody of the NFL. is just everybody's potentially coming. until you until it's kind of come out. >> Runs out. >> Yeah. >> Dries up. Speaking of, >> there's a big time competition happening. over there in Minnesota. Now, JJ. McCarthy, the uh incumbent, I believe, even though he's been injured, understands the offense. Michigan man. from our understanding, he's having a. good couple days of camp. Kyler Murray,
obviously brought in from Arizona, diehard Vikings fan as a child. Is this. a a way to salvage his career like a lot. of quarterbacks who have gotten second. chances at different places? Tone has a. question for you. Yeah, the Vikings are. another team that uh season did not go. the way they wanted to last year who. could be coming into the playoffs this. season. Now, if they get the quarterback. position right, I noticed on the Vikings. social media uh that there's no they put. they haven't put out any videos of their. quarterback competition, anyone making. any throws yet. So, we got to rely on. insiders like you to tell us what you. are hearing from Minnesota on.
potentially how uh those two players, those two quarterbacks are looking. So. far, >> they've been pretty adamant that both. quarterbacks are going to duel for the. job all through camp. I think both have. had their moments in camp so far. And I. think most people think think that Kyler. is going to be the favorite for the job. He handpicked Minnesota. Minnesota was. interested in him and he could become. the latest quarterback to become this. year's version of Sam Darnold, Daniel. Jones, Baker Mayfield, some of the. quarterbacks that have bounced around. I.
just think it's way too early to write. off JJ McCarthy just yet. And I'm not. just saying that cuz I went to Michigan. He went to Michigan. He's played 10 NFL. games. He's had injuries. He essentially. has played with an offensive line that. always hasn't been great. Um the team. struggled the last couple of years. >> He's still growing and learning. If we. go back and look and compare his numbers. to some of the great young quarterbacks. early on in their career, like a Matthew. Stafford, like a Josh Allen, there were.
growing pains and bumps for a lot of. these quarterbacks. And that may be the. case for JJ McCarthy. My point is, we. still haven't heard the final word on. him yet. And the Vikings are going to. let this play out all summer long. I. again, I understand all the excitement. and enthusiasm about Kyler Murray. It's. warranted. He has a chance to thrive in. that offense, but I just think people. have been a little bit too quick to. write off JJ McCarthy so far. >> Yeah, because Sky uh Kyler is. potentially a sky full of stars in Kevin.
O'Connell's offense. >> Yeah, true. That's kind of what we think. about the entirety. But then Living. Levita Loca uh is what JJ McCarthy is is. kind of all about. You know, so it's. cold world, but both of them are gonna. have to play at some point. And whenever. you talk about JJ McCarthy maybe finding. his second gear and we talk about Kyler. becoming the next, you know, Baker, Sam. Darnold, uh Kirk Cousins even, I think. you can go on and on about all the. different quarterbacks that have hit. their second. >> I mean, JJ might do that. I feel like.
we've already been through a chapter of. JJ McCarthy and everybody said he's a. bust, he's fragile, and he's not good. He might even get his opportunity to. showcase who he actually is through this. all. But it's hard not to get excited. about Kyler Murray and Kevin O'Connell's. offense. It it's really hard not to get. excited about that and it's really hard. not to just judge JJ for what he has. which is 10 games because we're just. taking the good from Kyler's previous. career at Arizona. There's a lot of bad. too, you know. So, it's just like uh. it's an interesting situation that. they're going to have to deal with over.
there. General manager already been. fired. He utilized the pick for JJ. McCarthy. So, what does that mean. whenever it comes to loyalty? That also. plays into it all. And then everything. Chef's saying, talking about loyalty, >> Shaft's golfing with JJ McCarthy every. other week at these Michigan events. True. You know, so I think he has a lot. I think he knows JJ better than all of. us. >> So I think that is why he's continuing. to be like, "Hey, JJ's a competitor. JJ. wants this. JJ's a talent. Look what he. did everywhere." It's like uh I don't. think anybody has a clue who's going to. actually win that role. Even though a.
lot of people, including Teen, who's. obviously been in the building, say like. Kyler's definitely the guy. It's like, well, hold the hold the phone, bro. Not. so fast, my friend. >> Unfortunately, I I think cuz Shifty. talked about, you know, the the bumps as. a young quarterback that happens to. everyone. If it wasn't for the nine. thing and the meme, I the public. perception would have be a lot different. on JJ and this quarterback race. I I. feel like that for some reason the nine. thing in and the meme really really. changed the public perception on JJ. Also, not that it should have. >> The draft class he was in like Caleb did.
what he did last year. Bone Knicks led a. team to an AFC championship. Jaden went. to an NFC championship. Like all the. guys around him have been super. successful and he looked like hammer dog. all last year. >> Well, that's a Packers fan talking right. there. So, we got to remember who's. saying all of these things whenever. they're saying them. We'll obviously. continue to follow along. We have faith. in the Vikings, >> but we also have faith that they won't. be good. Like, it's like uh it's a. duality of a team, the Minnesota. Vikings, because we believe they. certainly can. >> But is it actually going to happen in a.
lot of people's eyes? Probably not. We. shall see. Uh let's go back to. Cincinnati. Um we got a text from coach. Pagano Doris and Shepher. He'd like you. to remember this whenever you're doing. your reporting. It's all fun in games. and love the intensity at Cincy's. practice until you lose Jamar T. Higgins. for the season. Former free agent number. 35 tackling these guys in seven on. seven. Get him out of here. That's what. [laughter] Chuck just said. That's how a. coach feels and that's how we all kind. of feel and this why Mike McCarthy comes. out and goes, "We're not tackling.". Okay. We got to get these guys to the.
season. Here's what we're worried about. Chuck Maggano, former free agent number. 35, tackling these guys in seven on. seven. What are we doing here? I like. that's from Chuck Maggano who has had. his heartbreak from a player of his. getting injured in something stupid and. then obviously him or another coach. getting fired and their families having. to leave. So that's where Chuck's coming. from. We [clears throat] always have to. remember that. We always have to. remember that. AJ and I though 35's in. there stirring it up. [laughter] He's.
stirring We need a little bit of that. We need a little bit of that. >> Let's go to Let's go to Buffalo. CJ GJ. is making his first impression. Uh, very. good. I think a lot of chatting, a lot. of chirping. We have footage of him. bouncing around in the stretch lines. Obviously, Joe Brady's first training. camp. A lot of people saying, uh, Joe. Brady just looks like he's friends with. these guys. You know, what is this all. about? Well, he was hired from within. the building. Uh, he had been a head. coaching candidate before. He does know. the entire team. He understands that. with Josh Allen as a quarterback, you're.
going to have to make it to the. playoffs. You're going to have to win a. Super Bowl. But what are you hearing out. of Buffalo? And CJ GJ is beloved up. there, which we appreciate and respect. And what are expectations you think in. the building for the Bills this year? Undefeated. >> You know, you know what's interesting is. that we came off that highlight of 35 in. Cincinnati getting into that little. scrum and. >> throwing himself around and doing some. things that he probably shouldn't be. doing. I go back to the combine this. year and being around some people in the.
Bills organization and the one thing. that they said to me at that time which. I I've remembered since then was that we. need to get some guys in here that are. kind of bad guys like bad boys like we. need some attitude. >> bad boys bad boys. >> that that are going to get down and. dirty and so you're you're going to see. us take some chances on guys this off. season that might bounce around that. basically are polarizing type figures.
and and I think CJ CJ GJ. >> there it is. >> that that fits right into that category. and if you go and look at some of the. guys they drafted it fits right into. that category that they they've been. this has been a very nice team. They've. been very well behaved. They've been out. there playing hard like you need some. guys some rabble rousers, right? that. are going to go out there and and muck. it up and bring attitude and piss off. people and and I think CJ GJ is one of.
those guys for this team and that's. exactly what they were looking for. during the offseason. >> Yeah, it bringing Moxy energy and also. these types of guys, they're the guys. obviously you love on your team, hate on. the other team. CJ GJ has gotten many a. man personal fouls for throwing full. fists at helmets in the middle of games. I I mean he might go down as the. greatest. CJ GJJ might go down as the. greatest. >> The place you doubt Joe Brady's. >> antagonizing. Yeah. Pulling Joe Brady's.
uh card and schedule out of his pocket. and then pointing at him and then. jogging away. It's like he might be the. great Joe Brady saying, "I'm going to. get your ass." Oh, okay. >> By the way, Joe's talking too. >> Oh yeah. >> Joe is very, very chirpy in this entire. thing. But when it's all said and done, CJ GJ might be the greatest menace in. the history of the NFL. So, if Bean and. the boys up in Buffalo were looking for. a little bit of moxy, >> they they got the one. I mean, they. might have the GOAT of this entire. thing. And I'm excited that they're. embracing that because Josh Allen, remember, was voted as what, the best.
trash talker? >> Yeah. Biggest trash talker in the NFL. >> or something like that on the offensive. side. So, through camp here, we're going. to see Josh Allen and CJ GJ, too. Just. that's inevitable. We got to know that. And if Chuck Mun is watching, what we. hope happens, CJ GJ, Josh Allen, >> fist to cuff. That's what we hope, you. know, just to showcase that they're a. tough team, right, AJ? That's what we're. looking for. >> Yeah. Open hand, Josh. Don't open hand. Both of you guys don't We don't need you. breaking our hand. Don't point Don't. punch a helmet with your fist. >> Is that what you tell your kids? It. sounds like that sounded like a coaching.
point. >> I don't tell my kid, I tell it to. anybody. Watch old boss root clips. That. guy, he was an unbelievable palm. structure. That's what you need. >> Bang. Bang. Boom. Kick the shin. Bang. it. Boom. Bang. Boom. Banger. Pick up. the chair. >> Stab. Boom. Put down. Pow. Yeah. We. know. Boss R. >> Oh, yeah. >> Yeah. Yeah, we do know that. You know. who Boss Gruden is? >> Shafty. >> Boss Guden. >> All right. >> No, >> that's a bit of a rabble rouser. >> That's John's son who's the head. trainer, right? Boss Guden. >> No, it's Deuce. >> Oh, that's Deuce. Yeah.
>> Yeah, Deuce, by the way. I think he. powerlifter. He's awesome. >> He probably knows Boss. >> I mean, Boss Ruden definitely knows who. that is. Uh, okay, Chefy, what do we. miss? What do we need to talk about? Daniel Jones is back. He's flying. around. Anthony Richardson just threw a. fadeaway 50-yard bomb uh at training. camp. So, Colts are going to win the. Super Bowl. I don't see you tweeting. that much. Anything else that we need to. kind of pay attention to around the. league? >> Uh the Panthers have had a tough start. to camp here, losing their rookie wide. receiver Chris Brazelle to a season.
ending injury, losing Nick Scarton to a. season ending torn ACL, their offensive. tackle Taylor Motton. Yeah. >> Uh blood clots and he'll miss the start. of the season. And again, we're talking. about the NFC South where we started and. the vibes being high in New Orleans and. some of those issues in Tampa yesterday. with Baker Mayfield. Like it almost. feels like it's Baker versus the team. Baker's not happy with them. They're not. happy with the way he spoke about the. organization. That's not great. The. Panthers have had injuries. The Falcons. to a tongue is back at practice. He.
hasn't had this type of lower back. muscle issue before, but he's already. been going through individual drills. Atlanta obviously will be without. Michael Penn for the next month. They. have Tua working back in slowly and. Bejan Robinson is still not practicing. because he's a Holden. So there's some. issues with some of those other NFC. South teams. Although New Orleans did. lose Brian Brec the other day, their. defensive tack. So every one of these. teams in the NFC South has had some sort. of issue here this summer Pat. And you.
didn't mention you didn't mention Tony. Romo today. >> What had happened to Tony? >> What about him? You guys don't know? >> No. >> CBS placed him on leave for the time. being. >> Oh, and JJ Watt took his spot. Is that. what we watched? >> Exactly. So, you knew that? >> Oh, good guy. >> I didn't know that was the JJ. >> Is that surprising, Shifty? Was that. surprising to see? >> Uh, when I think everything that. happened here that unfolded, the videos. and all the coverage, when you go. through an issue like that,
organizations have to make decisions. And the decision that CBS made was to. place him on leave right now and promote. JJ to the number one team. And JJ is. going to get a chance here to work with. Jim Nance and Tracy Wilson. And JJ will. do a great job in that spot. And we'll. see uh if and when Tony Romo gets back. to CBS. >> Okay. So, on this note, there's also a. lot going on, right, with Paramount, CBS, everything. I think there's I think. there's a huge situation brewing maybe. that's involving ports and stuff. I. think Oh, yeah. Yeah, >> and I think there's a realignment that's.
going to like there's a lot happening. business-wise there, too, which. obviously plays into it all. We hope. Tony gets uh the help that he needs. We. also hope Tony just gets a driver, bro. Just let's just put all these questions. away and let's just handle that as we go. forward. Golf in all the tournaments you. want to golf in. Uh but we we don't need. to see you doing a full calisthetics. warm-up before, you know, a sobriety. test. I mean, that was just that was a. wild scene. And we are not, none of us. are perfect, but we are huge fans of. Tony Romo. >> Yeah,
>> huge fans. Now, operating while. intoxicated is very dangerous and we. think in 2026 it is stupid. That is a. stupid thing to be doing, especially. with everything that is available, especially to Tony Romo. So, we are not. advocates of what Tony Romo did, but we. would like to follow up and saying we. think Tony Romo is hilarious and we. think Tony Romo is very good for the. sport and we think Tony Romo loves bowl. Okay. So, that is just what we would. like to say, but we do hope that he gets. the help and we hope JJ continues to do. great because obviously uh it's for the. good of a huge spot. A lot of eyes on. that particular game. So, the ball ball.
needs it. The league needs it and we'll. see how everything shapes up. Can I go. back to what you said about Tampa? So, we saw Baker give a four-minute answer. about everything, the state of his. relationship with the Bucks and how the. Bucks are going to do this year. You. mentioned that the Bucks aren't. necessarily thrilled about the way he. spoke about the franchise. Okay. So, you've heard from somebody within the. Bucks organization since this entire. thing. How does that end up playing out? How do how does how does that whole. thing end up working out here? Because. Baker said he won't negotiate and AJ and. I hypothesized yesterday if they were to. put a $50 million three-year deal in. front of his face right now. Would he.
sign that? I wonder if he would sign. >> They already were they already were. offering over $50 million a year. >> It's not what he was two years though. Two years, wasn't it? They they they. already if you go back and you look in. Jeremy Fowler's story last night. Hold. on. Hold on. >> Okay. So, Chefer's got a good plug in. the Bucker Buccaneers organization right. now. Okay. >> No, no, no. I'm just telling you. >> No, no, but we need to know. We need to. understand that as we do this, like we. are about to get a lot of good. information from the Buccaneers. organization right now. Everybody needs. to let's strap in right here. Let's.
figure out how this is going to go. This. is a big story. Franchise. >> quarterback. Jeremy Fowler last night. reported the Buccaneers felt their. offers in the final days of the. negotiation were competitive, including. a two-year deal were slightly above a. hundred million in total. >> Guaranteed 15. >> I I don't know what the guarantees were. >> No, no, I know. I know. I know. I know. >> But the offer was over $50 million a. year on average. And And I think I think. the Buccaneers, that's their side, which.
is fair. And I think Baker's side is. fair. two years. Like if you're the. franchise guy, you deserve more than two. years. So that's part of the issue. Like. Baker's got a point on the years. I. think the value is a little bit more. than than was led on. The Buccaneers. have made an offer over $50 million per. year. And Baker says it's shut down. It's shut down and he's not going to. talk. Now they can still franchise him. at $47 million this off seasonason, which would be less than 50, and then 57.
the next year. So essentially they have. him for the next two years for 105. million with the franchise tag. >> Okay. So and he said they don't want to. do that because there's a lot of dead. cap too if I he he addressed that. because obviously that was. >> No no no no no no they're they're not. going to just let him get to free. agency. I mean we'll see how it plays. out. But they they have the franchise. tag available and. >> yeah but Baker said they don't want a. franchise tag me. That's a lot of money. and there's also a lot of dead cap that. comes alongside that. I don't know what. he meant by that, but I'm just saying he. addressed that the franchise tag in the.
entire thing, which I assume was a part. of potential negotiations between. Buccaneers and his people. Could you go. back to what uh the previous thing we. had up here? Uh it had his Yeah, this. one here. Okay. So, his current annual. average of 33.3 million is obviously. >> below M below market. We all agree. >> Okay. Thank you. Yes, I agree. But also. great for Baker whenever what the stage. Baker was in whenever he was there and. he acknowledged that. Thank you to the. Tampa Bay Buccaneers for making this. happen. But if they offer him a uh a. three-year, let's say it's $150. something million deal with over.
whatever, let's bump that up to 35. 35*. 3 is 105. >> 95. >> Uh no 105 105. So in 105 is what they're. going to owe him anyways if they do two. franchise tags. So can't you just give. him a threeyear 150 some million with. $105 million guaranteed and then. hopefully that would be that would kind. of be out the door or do we think he. wants like a fiveyear deal? I think he wants more years, whatever. that is, whether that's three, four, five years, and the Buccaneers have.
offered a two-year deal worth over a. hundred million. It doesn't matter right. now because he's adamant that he shut it. down, that he's not going to do it in. season. And he and he himself said like. they didn't believe that I would shut it. down, but I did. I said it had to be. done by the start of camp or I'm not. doing it. And he's not doing it. And I. would say I would promise you that if. and when they reopen talks, if there's. not a deal done ahead of free agency, I. promise you they'll franchise him. I. promise you that's going to happen. Dead. cap, whatever issues, he's going to get. tagged. So that that's also coming if.
they can't get a deal worked out. >> Oh yes, we got Trama down there. And. this might honestly, you would. automatically assume this would be bad. for a franchise. Baker Mayfield, a. little bit of heat in there. >> Yeah. >> Yeah. This might actually be good. Now. he's an adult. Obviously, he's at a. different stage of his life now. Uh he's. a dad, he's a husband. He said he had to. talk to some of the free agents that. come in and let them know like, "Hey, this is how I am." He might have a. perception of me that is different than. who I am. But if he's all in on ball and. then also thinking that he's. disrespected by the owning that he's in. and the building has a little bit of.
sauce with him as well, is that right? You're going to be doing that. This. might be a good thing for Baker Mayfield. and Baker Mayfield alone. Every other. quarterback, this would be a devastating. type situation for Baker. I think he. lives in the kitchen if he has to and. when it gets hot in there, he starts. cooking. You know, that's why bake. bakes, baby. >> Exactly. >> We appreciate you, Chef. You're the man. Keep living in the fire, brother. >> Thank you guys. Have a great weekend. >> Let me hear a little Cold Play real. quick if I could on the way out from. here. Chef Dy, >> there's so many good songs. They are. awesome. They are a I'm just telling. you, if you haven't seen them in.
concert, you have to go. >> I think you don't know any of the songs. I think you went because your wife's a. fan. You got the shirt and you don't. know any of their songs. >> Blocks yellow. I mean, I don't know the. names. I know all the songs when when. they're on. I can't sing. >> That's what I am, too. >> That's what we want to hear. We would. like to hear it. We'd like to hear what. your favorite one is. >> No, you don't want to hear that. I. [laughter]. was just I'll go I'll take the Charlie. Chaplan mode. Okay. >> Oh, you're doing Coach Fangio. >> Yeah. >> Is that what he's doing right now? >> He is doing coach Fio. >> Who was doing F?
>> Tony Fi. >> Tony Fouchy. That's what you're trying. to do. Yeah. We're a little worried that. becomes our entire life now because we. asked Coach Fangio about 30 questions. yesterday and this is all he had to say. I'm gonna be like Fouchy and just take. the fifth amendment on our questions. >> So Sheffy's doing that right now. Coldplay the man. Ladies and gentlemen, Adam Shfter. >> I like what Fio did. >> Me too. >> Yeah. >> As soon as he gets down there. >> Yeah. I don't have a plan for this. really, but I do want to say this. Did. you see that guy? >> It's unbelievable.
>> What a fun time to be alive for all of. us. Uh ladies and gentlemen, a man who's. about to be joining us has a lot of. information that we need. >> He better. >> because there's a sport that actually. matters right now. Okay. Okay, not that. it never did in the past. I'm just. saying right now there's a lot going on. that really matters. Okay, this is a uh. this is a huge deal to the future of. sports. Definitely to the future of the. sport, >> but also like what about America? You. know, what about the United States of. America? >> Apple pie. >> And not just America, what about I mean. we've seen it. >> Yeah.
>> Latin America loves. >> Japan loves sport. >> I mean I don't know about any Europeans. doing this thing. Australia's got the. sport in there. Mhm. >> Baseball is at a pivotal time right now. And there's one player, okay, that is. potentially the entire lynch pin on. whether or not baseball continues or. doesn't continue. >> And he just so happens to be a. left-handed pitcher who used to be on. the Tigers, is still on the Tigers, but. about to be on his way out. TK Scooble. is about to be traded from the Tigers.
If he ends up on the Dodgers and the. Dodgers win the World Series, there will. be a lockout shutdown of baseball for 15. years. Maybe if Scooble goes anywhere. else and does good, everything's okay. Scooble goes to the Dodgers, they lose, everything's okay. Y. >> Scubble goes to the Dodgers, Dodgers win. again. Baseball's dead forever. That's. what's being said. Joining us now to. tell us whether or not that's true or.
not, senior MLB insider for ESPN, pundit, analyst, voice of a generation. for America's pastime. Ladies and. gentlemen, Jet Passing, [cheering]. >> am I right on saying that, JET? THAT'S. WHAT IT I'm reading and it feels like. that is kind of what the case. If Scoobs. ends up with the Dodgers and they win, there's no way a deal is ever going to. get done. Nobody's going to agree and. baseball's over forever. That's what is. that a little bit overreaction, Jet? Because I'm reading that from a lot of. people, Jet. Yeah, I think that's a. that's a little much. But this is the.
perfect storm of everything that's. percolating in the labor space right. now, is it not? You've got the Dodgers. who aren't just dominant on the field, but dominant in terms of the money that. they're spending. And for them to go out. and get the best pitcher in the world. and add him to a rotation that frankly. doesn't need him at this point just. feels like a little too much. Especially. when you look Pat at the other teams. that are in the TK scoop sweep stakes at. this point. The Milwaukee Brewers who.
you see their second uh favorite behind. the Dodgers. The Brewers have an. incredible farm system. They have the. ability to do this and they've done it. in the past in 2008 when they went out. and got CC Sabathia and uh he had an. amazing second half of the season for. them. Uh, it would be incredible to see. Jacob Miserowski and TK Scubble in the. same rotation, reminiscent, if you will, of 2001 when Randy Johnson and Kurt. Schilling were out there leading the.
Arizona Diamondbacks to a World Series. championship. So, uh, this is going to. be this is going to be a fascinating. next like 96 hours or so before the. deadline. And, uh, there's a lot of. stuff still left to happen with Terubel. It was kind of it's kind of all. reminiscent to what CC Sabathia did. It. kind of took me back to that when he was. with Cleveland and then the Brewers. rented him and then inevitably he gets. hot. He's pitching every other day. He's. dominant down the stretch and then he. ends up with the Yankees, right? Is that. kind of why we're thinking some of these.
smaller market teams might actually be. in this school running because it's just. a half a season rental basically before. he gets paid somewhere else? >> Here's the thing though, Pat. Generally. speaking, those smaller market teams. don't do big ticket rentals. Like this. is antithetical to their process. The. reason that the Rays are where they are, that the Brewers are where they are, is. because they keep their prospects and. they bring them up and they have control. of them for multiple years. So Matt. Arnold, the the Rays president of. baseball operations, Eric Neander, the.
excuse me, Matt Arnold's with the. Brewers, and Eric Neanders with the. Rays. This is a position that they're. not used to being in. And why everybody. in the industry believes that Scubble. will wind up with the Dodgers is the. penalty for a trade like this. The. penalty for the Dodgers is so much less. Because let's say that they trade away. really good players and that school. doesn't work out and they don't win. The. Dodgers are still making a billion. dollars a year and the Dodgers still.
have an absolutely loaded farm system. Whereas, if you're the Rays and the. Brewers, your lifeblood is those young, undercontrol, cheap players. And if. you're giving them away for a guy who. you're going to have for only two. months, he better work. Like, this. better be the sort of thing that winds. up with gold on your finger. Or. otherwise, you've done yourself and your. franchise a long-term disservice. >> Well, good luck to all parties involved. and good luck to baseball. You know, I. hope baseball gets the outcome that it. needs here. You talk about the Dodgers.
and if they win, everybody's going to be. pissed. There has to be others. Go. ahead, Ty. >> Yeah, Jet, who do you think is going to. be the most aggressive at the deadline. and trying to pick up a bunch of people. to maybe try to, you know, supplant the. Dodgers top the baseball world? Uh. because the the AL seems like it's kind. of more open than it's been in a long. time. And if the Yankees keep trottting. out this goddamn lineup that they have. for the last [laughter] couple weeks, I. might kill myself. So, uh, what teams in. like the AL and I guess even the NL, uh,
are going to be very aggressive at the. deadline, you think? >> Tai, the Yankees are everywhere right. now. They're looking at catching. They're looking at relief arms. They're. looking at bats. They understand that. that lineup that they have right now is. not going to be the sort of thing that. can win them playoff games. Now, granted, they're going to have Cody. Bellinger back. They're uh, in all. likelihood, they expect to have Aaron. Judge back. They hope to have John. Carlos Stanton back. So, this isn't. quite the same, but they know they they.
need a catcher. Um they they could, you. know, they they keep getting tied to. Luis Arise. I'm not sure where the fit. is there because he wants to play second. base. He's insisting on playing second. base and we've seen Jazz Chisum at third. and it it's probably not going to work. And yet, the the the DH slot could be. open for a rise right now. Uh the. Yankees are going to be busy. the the. Rays are uh you know they they have. lines out everywhere I in addition to. Scooble you know they're in with Freddy.
Peralta they're looking for for another. starting pitcher they're in on a rise. they're looking for a bat uh they're. looking for outfielders like the the. Rays understand this is such a great. opportunity for them because the AL is. down and there aren't many years like. this where uh Tampa Bay is at the top. and the dominant team. So, uh, I think. they're going to be busy. I think the. Red Sox are certainly going to continue. to be the Chicago White Socks, uh, have. a lot of irons in the fire at this. point. Uh, and and the Texas Rangers, if.
they can get some money, uh, they're. going to they're going to be a player. here, too. >> I like that the White Socks are cooking. They got Moonshot Taka Morakami. I mean, you want to get that guy into prime. time. I hope he's playing in the big. games late. >> Stroking, baby. >> Yeah. >> Stroking. >> Stroking the east, stroking the west, baby. Yeah. I uh I love Moonshotaka. He. was so nice to us in the White Socks. becoming a relevant team. Obviously good. for the city of Chicago. Now there is a. bigname Yinszer that's also available. Go ahead Tone. >> Yeah Jet Mason Miller the closer for the.
Padres's. His name was very very hot uh. in the market maybe a week or two ago. and that it kind of feels like things. have calmed down. I don't know because. the Padres's have the bats have woken up. a bit. They've won five of six or only. two games back in the wild card. Can. Mason Miller still be dealt or the the. Padres's recent success? are they not. going to be selling anymore? >> So, when Mason Miller's name was. hottest, it was before teams understood. what the ask was. And a AJ AJ Prowler,
the the president of baseball operations. for the Padres's is very clear at the. beginning of any deal about what he. wants. Like he will he will communicate. openly. And in this case, when he was. talking with interested parties, he said. to them, "Nobody in your organization. can be off limits." And so when you say. something like that to the to the. Mariners, for example, that means that. Kate Anderson is in play. Kate. Anderson's the best pitching prospect in. the minor leagues right now. Do they. really want to give him up for a closer?
I mean, that was the kind of deal that. the Padres's made last year getting. Mason Miller and giving up Leo Dere, one. of the best prospects in the whole game. and the industry looked at that like, wow, that for a closer is that really. the right thing to do? So, what the. Padres's have right now value-wise on. Mason Miller does not line up with what. the rest of the industry sees. But, we're still a few days away from the. deadline, guys. and you know that prices. go down and if the Padres's feel like. they they need to get more rotation.
pieces or they need to get another bat, uh Mason Miller and Audrey and are. going to bring back the most and would. be if either is dealt uh the best relief. pitcher on the market right now. >> All right, Jet, we'll keep our eyes and. our ears pinned to MLB as this weekend's. going to be a lot of action, right? That's what we're assuming. Monday at 6, this whole thing is uh is is wrapped up. So, we got a lot of action coming in the. next couple days, we assume. >> I'm not going to be sleeping much, but.
I'm okay with that. >> I like that. We got some stuff over here. that could help you. Our guy talk takes. it if you need [laughter] that. He never. stop now. His is medically. Yours is. just professionally. You got to do what. you got to do. You're the best, ladies. and gentlemen. Jet pass and. >> big day of baseball today. Uh, and. DraftKings has a fun fun special going. on right now. Tone, can you tell the. people a little bit more about a no. sweat bet for any MLB home run bet. today? And also, we like a few guys up.
there. Go ahead, Tone. >> Yeah, as as I always say, like before. you're making bets on DraftKings, check. their promotions that they have going on. because they normally have one for every. single sport that's going on that day. Today, you get a no bet, no sweat bet. for any MLB home run bet today. So, basically, you can put money on it. I. think it's up it's up to a certain it's. up to a certain amount that you know is. based off of what you normally bet and. then if it does not hit you get the that. money back. Um yes, we do like a lot of. people today. Um we each picked a guy.
I'm going with CJ Abrams of the Nats. He's got nine home runs in July. He's. been absolutely raking. Uh they're going. against the Braves. Uh Bryce Elders is. going today. He's given up six home runs. in his last three starts. So I like CJ. Abrams today as my no sweat home. repping. You like you like CJ A Abrams. as your no sweat bet. AJ likes South. Stewart against Paul SK. What's that all. about? AJ, >> I don't love that it's against Paul Ske, but I like South Stewart that that much. You know, the bit the Red's on a bit of. a win streak here, so I think they're.
hot. We're going to continue. >> I like Bryce Harper. There's some. website that uh tells you how the. pitcher does pal. >> Yeah, ballpark pal. That how a pitcher. does against a hitter. This particular. pitcher today against Bryce Harper, F+. >> Okay. >> Okay. Okay, so Bryce is going to want to. hit a big dong, I think. Now, none of. these are guaranteed, obviously. Uh, Tai. likes Michael Bush. Why do you like him? >> Uh, because he is also going against a. guy who he should farewell against and. Will Warren of the Yankees who has. pitched [laughter] like complete. since the All-Star break. Winds blowing. out a little bit at Wrigley today. So, I.
like. >> You're betting against the Yankees. though. >> I am. I am. I am. Yep. Have to. Have to. I've seen it with my own two eyes the. last several weeks. I'm not I'm not. going to be too proud to do it. And. Gump, you're going with Will Wilson. Contrarus. Obviously, he's going to hit. a bomb, which we appreciate in your. eyes. Uh remember, the reward is issued. as a bonus bet that you have to use. within seven. So, if you or seven days, so if you opt into this, then you. utilize it as your bet. It'll be a bonus. bet that you have to use within the next. seven days. But he's no sweat, baby.
However you're feeling, why don't you go. for it? And uh I like Bryce, but I. assume there's going to be plenty of. dongs today. And anytime DraftKings has. given out a no sweat one, >> we'll take it. >> Let's go ahead and do that because. there's been too much sweating on it. already. >> That's right. >> This off season's gotten hot. >> Pretty hot with the World Cup. >> Oh, forgot that happened. >> I thought I knew what I was doing, >> man. For a good chunk there. >> Punch back. >> We were winning. >> Yeah, big every time. >> First two weeks, >> stars were showing up. >> And now football's back. We can't wait. But also, let's give one last run with. baseball. Shout out to DraftKings, the.
best sports book on Earth. No sweat bet. Opt in. Utilize the token. All right, hour one wrapping up here on linear. television. Uh we'll be back in three. minutes for an hour or two that's going. to be packed and stacked. We got Shrags. coming. Paul. >> he's got a lot to say. >> Yeah. >> How's he feeling about Malik Neighbors. running wild? I assume he's all zaked up. about what's going on in the New York. Giants facility. And what drama does he. know about that we haven't talked about. yet? And is Aaron Donald signing with. the Rams?
>> That wasn't for me. That's somebody. else. I'm nothing but kind. Be a friend. Tell a friend something nice. Might. change your life. See you in 3. >> Belle Sessions, who got here at 3:00. a.m. this morning, was the winner. Her. ticket was pulled and you thought to. yourself immediately, "What, Bel?". >> I knew I couldn't do it. And he was next. to me and he said that he could, so. we're splitting it. >> Okay. So, Belle Sessions made the. decision to talk to my man Henry Silver. who been [cheering].
[screaming]. Henry got here yesterday at 6:00 p.m. He's been waiting for this moment. Now, Henry, you told her that you could make. it. Why do you think that's the case? Have you ever kicked a ball before? >> I've kicked a ball before. I've played. soccer my whole life. I think I can do. it. >> This kick is for 150,000. You said you. would split it in half, right? Yes, sir. >> Okay. So, let's make it 200,000. If you. make it, you will both get 100,000.
Where are you from, Henry? >> I'm from Fischers, Indiana. >> Who's your favorite NFL team? >> The Colts. >> Hell yeah, dude. Hell [laughter] yeah. Come on, bro. Hell yeah. To hell with. the Falcons. Uh, that that was rude. They didn't deserve that. I like that. HENRY, 33 YARDS. 100,000 FOR YOU. 100,000 FOR HER. $200,000 TO HURRICANE. RELIEF. 400,000 ON THE LINE. HENRY, ARE. YOU READY? >> OF COURSE. >> HAVE YOU EVER SAID ANYTHING BAD ABOUT. KICKERS? >> Of course. >> Shut up. Let's go. Now, here in Athens, Georgia, it would be beautiful if.
$400,000 would be up for grabs. Why. don't we double it because the Georgia. Bulldogs. >> So, eight $800,000. kick right here, Henry. But what I want. to let YOU KNOW IS YOU'RE NOT GETTING A. second opportunity. I don't care if this. entire place starts chanting for a. second kick. One kick, 800,000 racks. 400,000 TO HURRICANE RELIEF. 400,000 to. you two SPLIT 200 GRAND EACH. HENRY.
SILVER FROM INDIANA from Bell [cheering]. Sessions. >> Let's go, HENRY. OH my [screaming]. [cheering]. come. [cheering]. down the middle.
Let me see this. [cheering] Let me see. this. >> [cheering]. >> That was amazing. >> I mean, he walked in like Henry. Henry, >> congratulations, Henry. [cheering]. Congratulations, Bill. Congratulations, Georgia. What a morning. College game. day is the greatest. College football's. amazing. Bill,
you just won $200,000. The following program is a collection of. stooges talking about happenings in the. sports world. It is meant to be comedic. informative. The opinions expressed on. this show do not necessarily reflect the. beliefs of their peers, their boss or. ESPN. There may be some cuss words. because that's how humans is the real. world talk. If you are a young, please. seek permission before watching any. further.
>> Hey. Let's go. >> This show stinks and the fact that you. listen, we are very, very thankful for. McAfee on the line with a gorgeous. assist. >> The alltime leading tackler for the. Green Bay Packers. >> You can't. [screaming]. stop. DAMN IT. >> YOUR [music] FRIEND, tell a friend. something nice could change their life.
>> Hello, beautiful people. [laughter]. And welcome back to [music] our humble. abode. The DraftKings Thunderdome on. this feelgood Friday, July 31st, 2026. Hour two begins now. >> Football is all around us. We're pumped. That's AJ Hawk. He's a college football. national champion, Super Bowl champion, Ryder Cup winner. The talks the table is. here. One half of the hammer Cowboys AP. Tone and Ty Schmidt. We can't thank you. enough for allowing us to do this for a. living. And we can't thank the NFL. enough for being back. >> Hell yeah. >> You know, it's not just the NFL that's.
back and showing us highlights. College. football's back in a big way. AJ, I. don't know if you saw a lot of. microphones being used in Chicago at Big. 10 Media Days. >> Big 10 media day is fun. I know one. coach kind of stole the shine and kind. of has the most quotable situations. going on. I I tell you what, I'm on. board for it as well. >> Are you talking about the national. champion? Are you talking about the guy. who kicked off uh the new NCAA game? Are. you talking about the man who has been. compared to the greatest coaches and the. greatest leaders of all time because of. what he's been able to do at Indiana. University in Bloomington for football?
Paul, is that who you're talking about, AJ? >> I am talking about coach Signetti. Yes. >> A lot of people heard this quote about. the SEC from coach Sig yesterday where. he's saying, uh, let me just explain to. you why we are the best actually versus. the people maybe in a different place. >> The Big 10 is is uh the best league in. football. Uh, and a lot of really good. football teams. It's hard to win on the. road. Very physical football teams, very. well coached. It definitely prepares you. for the playoffs. Uh there's no doubt.
about it. The numbers speak for. themselves. I mean, we don't run a hype. machine up here in the Midwest. We believe everything's earned, not. given. And when we fall short, we say we. fell short. We don't cry a river, whine, and complain. [laughter]. All right? And that's why we're the. best. >> Coach Signetti, thank you so much for. your time. >> Thank you. [laughter]. [screaming]. >> Yes. >> And that's why we're the best. Looks at. the camera. All right,
coach. Okay, I mean, just take that one. to the bank. Didn't just talk about the. SEC and uh the Big 10. Also chithatted. about what life has been like uh on. vacation the last few weeks at home with. uh Mrs. Signetti. >> Mhm. >> So, I'm really excited. I've been on. vacation long enough. You know, I'm. tired of being bossed around by my wife. I'm ready to boss somebody else around. and develop a football team. And it's. all about development, okay? Player.
development, team development, positional development, and developing. the intangibles, the mindset, and the. identity of your football team. >> We'll dive into all these a little bit. more because the amount of things he's. saying that actually matter versus just. funny clips are certainly kind of tied. together there because, you know, a lot. of people are saying this new NIL era. and the transfer era, there's not no. development. You can't develop anymore. And Sig's like, I just got a smaller. timeline now. Okay, now we got to. develop this as soon as possible. We got. to get into this. It's nice for me to go. boss some things around. You know, all. these quotes could potentially become. the next Signetti quote. But never.
forget the first Signetti quote, which. was uh reminded to him by one of the. media members about maybe putting a. patch on that new IU jersey. >> There's a lot of talk about sponsorship. patches. So, I wanted to pitch to you. since you don't have a ton of time. I. want to get your thoughts on this patch. for Indiana football, which is a Google. logo and the word me. >> Okay. Is it going to make us better? >> But it it might I'm not interested. Might get you more [laughter] money.
>> Well, that guy had an opportunity there. to say, "Yeah, Google's going have to. pay a lot of money. You might be able to. get yourself a new roster." Well, I. certainly listen, you know, I I think he. would certainly do that. But I like that. Sig knows and I think Sig does under. every time he's on a microphone, he is. mustwatch. And I I don't think he's. trying to live up to his own hype and I. don't think he's trying to be like that. I think this just comes natural to him. And I've never seen somebody more. comfortable and confident being a head. coach of a national champion football. team than Sigetti. And he got his. starting job late. Obviously, we all.
understand his story where he was an. assistant in Alabama. If you would have. waited around, maybe he would have got a. big time job. Instead, he wanted to be a. head coach. Goes to IUP. Okay, that's. Indiana University of Pennsylvania. Okay, that is uh about an hour and a. half outside of the city. Uh we actually. played against them one time uh in. football Indiana. We went up to that. area. We had gone to IUP a couple times. as high schoolers because that school is. known for. >> boozing fun. >> and STDs.
>> I didn't say that. That's Tone Digs. >> My brother went there. I could say that. >> Okay. >> Mikey Dogs. >> But also I mean that was uh I think. there was a lot of schools potentially. that were smaller. >> Yeah. The whole piece. >> Yeah. There was a lot of schools that. were around there that were allegedly. about. >> spreaded all over those schools. Really? I think that was just like kind of what. was said about each school by the other. school and then inevitably it just. became like. >> all PA state schools. Yeah. >> Yeah. So we're like 16 years old, you. know, we have a nice weekend. We're. going to visit somebody that we know. that's in school somewhere. No matter. what small school it was that was within.
driving distance for us. Everybody said, "Hey, watch out up there. They got. nothing but STDs up there." So I think. that's kind of how every school just. kind of uh tried to demean the other. ones. And I don't know if it was real or. not, but I was worried and I was. appreciative of everybody that gave me a. heads up. But Signetti was coaching Ed. He was coaching IUP. After coaching at. Alabama, he was coaching IUP. Then. obviously the James Madison story goes. absolutely crazy. We have game day at. James Madison, our show at James. Madison. And this guy who his dad. coached at West Virginia, he played at.
West Virginia, is from Pittsburgh. originally, obviously a Pison who loves. ball, gets on a mic in front of 30,000. people and go, "DO WE LIKE THE NCAA?". AND THEY GO, "NO.". AND I'M LIKE, "Holy hell, this guy has. got gut sack." Okay. Then our show based. here in Indianapolis, he gets hired to. be the IU football coach and we go, "Sick, >> go back to IUP.". >> Yeah. >> Don't go to IU. Like, what are you doing. here? And he had nothing but faith since. day one that him and his guys could.
figure it out. And they have. He's. talked his He's earned his place. He's remained the exact same. And his. team loves him. I mean, his teams. absolutely love him. And there's a I I. thought there's no way they'll be able. to run it back. College football is way. too hard. Okay, it's way too hard. You. have to have so many things go right. They got new pieces that they've just. brought into their uh culture that are. going to have to have huge games if. they're able to do it. Then I listen to. them on a microphone once or twice and. I'm like, you know what? >> Indiana's about to win the next 10. straight national champions. And that's.
how a sig makes you feel, AJ. It's. legit. That's never come from the. Indiana University Hooers ever from a. football perspective, AJ. Yeah, I think. he got this Indiana job at the just the. perfect time in his career. He was. clearly very ready to run a program like. this. The speed he that he was able to. get them to become national contenders. is is unbelievable. I mean, I don't know. if we've seen that before. The fact that. they were go 160, do everything they did. last year, tested over and over again, and continue to to answer the bell. I. mean, he feels like you said before,
very very comfortable in his own skin. and he seems like he has this formula. whatever he has like his leadership how. it goes like he has it dialed in and he. has all the right pieces around him and. I also credit to the Indiana the people. that do the hiring there for bringing. Sig in to hire him. It it has changed. the course of this institution forever I. believe. So I give them a lot of credit. >> President Pam Whitten and athletic. director I should know your name. You're. been very good to us. I do apologize, but uh got a chance to talk to the.
president in SIG's first year there and. she was at Georgia before being at IU. and she very much understands what. sports can do for your university and. she was one of the main drivers of let's. get a real coach here. Let's actually. let's go let's actually try to build. this. And then obviously they're money. people around the state in the state in. literally the city of Bloomington. I. believe there's a company called Cook or. something like that. I think they're a uh medical sales maybe. company. They have been a massive.
contributor to what they are doing in. all sports, certainly in football. Obviously, there's the Mark Cubans uh. who have also contributed in this entire. thing. But then they also have the. largest alumni. in America. They have the most alive. alumni in America. And they have a great. business school. They have a dentist. school. They have schools that produce. people who make, you know, not. everybody's going to be a millionaire, but if you're making 750,000, 800,000 a. year, and you give 50,000, 75,000, and.
there's 880,000 of those people out. there, which I think is the number of. alumni that they have. It's like, it's. crazy what real teamwork can happen in. an alumni perspective for a team that. really didn't exist. Now they got their. own facility. They're building up the. stadium. They got all this. And it was. like that wasn't like that four years. ago. So the modern era is crucified for. a lot of things. The modern era birthed. a football university in Bloomington and. Signetti was uh the godfather of it all. down there. And that's why whenever he. could have left, he could have. He.
stayed. I think he knows what's. happening in Bloomington. I think he. understands what's possible and he'll. have a statue down there. And I think he. wants Indiana to be. >> forever, not just with him being the. head coach. >> That man uh can say anything he wants as. all those reasons that you laid out. He. won a national championship and went. undefeated at Indiana University in in. the second year and it's arguably. transitioned to the new NIL era better. than any other coach uh in the in the. country. But boy, we talk about how. great rivalries are for college. football. He's he and what's been going.
on the last three years between the Big. 10 and the SEC and what he did. yesterday. just staring an absolute. hornets nest in the south and everyone. like when during the first video it had. like Purdue as one of their their prime. matchups and there was like the SEC was. like okay that says enough Purdue is one. of their prime matchups and then you. know the Big 10 came back and said. Purdue scored the same amount of points. as uh Alabama did against IU last year. The whole Big 10 SEC rivalry that's. going on right now is awesome. I am here. for it. I love Sig. I will side with him.
for now. But like just the SEC have. having that. >> I'll tell you what, we're going to see. how this team we'll see how this year. goes. But the SEC having the dominance. forever and now the Big 10 and now them. just being they they can't handle it. The SEC can't handle it and I'm here. I. love it. I'm eating it up right now. >> Yeah. It's good for sport obviously. It'll be good for the emotion. It's also. a lot of pressure on the South, you. know, a lot of not only win the SEC, be. dominant SEC, but their fans are used to. >> Oh, yeah. >> full dominance. So, I think it's good. I. think anytime there's pressure, anytime. there's motivation, anytime there's.
competition is good for all parties. And. uh the Big 10 certainly has a lot of. reason to be very comfortable in their. king spot. Three different Big 10 teams. have won a national championship in the. last three years. So whenever the SEC. says, well, the depth or whatever, it's. like we got three national champions in. this in just in the last three years. Let let alone if Oregon goes. >> Yeah, that would be. >> okay. So if Oregon goes, not that any of. these other Big 10 schools want that to. happen. Okay. Obviously, Indiana would. like to win every single year going. forward, but it's like if Oregon goes on.
a run and then next year SEC goes Yeah, but you guys don't have the depth. It's. like we got four national champ We got. the last four national champions are in. this. It's uh. >> it's not just Bama or Georgia. Not that. that they're the only. >> They need it down there though. >> Oh yeah. >> Like the SEC needs one this year because. it's only going to continue to get. >> if Texas gets it like let's say Texas. wins. They're Big 12. >> Yeah, exactly. That'll happen. immediately. >> That's the truth. You know, I mean, you. hate to say it, but uh and it's not just. coming from a guy who went to a Big 10. school, but.
>> Iowa stuff all in front of you. >> Exactly. And you know, I mean, I I won't. pat myself on the back, but Iowa got. beat by Oregon and Indiana by a combined. total of I think. Yeah, it was like five. points maybe. So, you know, they win. those games. Maybe they get in the. playoff as well. Maybe deserve to be in. the playoff. Sig even said it himself. yesterday. He said Iowa, >> they were the most underrated football. team in the country last year. So, you. know, I mean, it's coming from the. Godfather himself, but I think a lot of. people I saw too were were just saying. like, you know, it's the NIL portion and. that because of Cuban, that's why.
Indiana's gotten so good. This guy is. the best developer of talent in the. country. He took a bunch of guys from. JMU, brought him into the Big 10, and. they won a national championship. And. even like Fernando Mendoza, it's not. like he was a schlub when he was at Cal, but when he transferred to Indiana, no. one was pointing at that and being like, "Oh, okay. Indiana went to the playoff. last year. Now they have Fernando. Mendoza. They're gonna go win the. national. >> They were like 20 25 or 24 coming into. the season. >> Exactly. There was a lot of other. schools picking other quarterbacks over. Fernando. Oh, correct. >> Like that. There was many other big.
schools that we know. I'm not going to. put them on blast, but there's a lot of. big schools that were thinking Fernando. or somebody else and decided somebody. else. So, you know, >> Sig just gets all the best players now. Must be. >> and now he's starting to. And that's. that's what should be scary for. everybody. >> Munch sale. Yeah, exactly. Preseason. number 20 last year. >> It's all about development. We're. talking about the team. We're talking. about the culture. We're talking about. the players. We're talking about the. coaches. That's what I want to worry. about. Development. What a legend. The.
SEC though sees stuff like this though. and they go, "Uh, I don't think so.". >> GOPHER FANS, IT IS TIME TO ROW THE BOAT. >> Hell yeah. Hell yeah. >> Well, Minnesota sucks, so I I get I get. if they would do that. I mean, you know, but you're he's a snake oil salesman. You're not taking anything serious about. that unless you live in M. >> I think Brian Kelly was doing that. too down in LSU. >> That's a good point. >> Yeah, but we got to remember I like PJ. I I think PJ has the. >> done really well at that program.
>> PJ got him a new facility. Got him a lot. of stuff obviously. They beautiful. facility. Um when he was at Eastern. Michigan. >> Western. >> when he was at Western Michigan he made. one of those videos as well about a new. third down. You remember that? Oh yeah. He wanted them to get, you remember, they wanted to do third down. [laughter]. >> Yeah. >> PJ is one of those innovative. He's an. innovative guy. >> It's kind of just been lost in Minnesota. for a while, though. >> Yeah. >> Yeah. >> What if Minnesota goes on a national.
championship? Terry, you don't know. >> what kind of support do they have? Do we. know what kind of financial support they. have? >> It's probably middle middle of the road. >> I don't know how many players you can. get with just raw snake oil. >> All right. >> Uncut [snorts] snake oil. That's a good. question. This is not This is This is. not. >> PJ is a good salesman. I will say, you. know, we almost committed to Minnesota. whenever we were there. >> We had a great time up there. >> We thought about getting into the boat. Remember, there was a boat in there. >> You. >> run that video back. You're telling me. you wouldn't get in the goddamn boat if.
you saw this right here in front of your. face. PLEASE. >> GO FOR FANS. IT IS TIME TO ROLL THE. BOAT. >> Don't you want to just Don't you want to. just. >> That's like a scoreboard thing, right? That's like a third down scoreboard. thing. That's not just like a oneup. What is that? >> Yeah, that's that's an ad win from the. admin of social saying, "Hey, this is. what we're getting into." And remember, the rowing of the boat became pretty big. because the Vikings came over here. >> Yeah, he actually stole that from. Adysius. >> Did you see Odyssey? >> Not yet. I'm going to go Saturday. >> Oh, you are you really? Yeah. Yeah.
>> Oh, you walked right into that. >> Yeah, it was pretty good. That's a new. one there. AJ, >> I ought to see what. >> was that. >> You didn't finish what you were saying. >> No, no, no, no, no. I think uh you and D. understood everything that was kind of. happening, right? Exactly. Yeah. It. feels like it's all kind of coming. together there for you. Ladies and. gentlemen, joining us now is a man who. has all the info on everything happening. everywhere. It's crazy. It's crazy. >> Yeah, he does, man. >> He does. How does he know? Well, cuz he. works his ass off. This man's been.
sleeping on a couch for years so that he. can earn his way to the top. And what. did he do? Won an Emmy. >> Emmy award winner. now member of the. Emmy awardwinning NFL Live. Ladies and. gentlemen, ESPN pundit and insider, Peter Shreger. [applause and cheering]. >> Shreles. >> What up, Shreggs? >> Oh, what's up, fellas? I love that PJ. video. I'll tell you what, there was a. moment in time probably three, four. years ago, he was the hottest name in. NFL football and it was PJ Fleck is.
going to be the next guy. If they get. back up there, that that could be the. conversation again. But I that was a. that was a wild video and that is what. you have to do as a college football. coach these days. >> Thank you. Yes. Has to do that. Yes. Yes, he does. >> Sig doing any like that? >> Yeah. At the beginning he he said uh. we're on Ohio State. He did all that. >> Called a shot. >> He's not he's not doing whatever happy. that is. >> Okay. That's an Iowa fan. >> Kirby I think Kirby was doing that last.
week, too. >> Was he? >> Well, I don't think he was. >> Okay. Well, that's. >> Brian Kelly was the famous with the. rotating, you know, the. >> Yeah, [laughter] that was. >> he had a whole new voice. >> Okay. >> You remember he did that? >> Oh, yeah. >> PJ Fleck has always been trying to drive. up juice wherever he's at. >> I get on mentality. >> Okay. So, we always hunting like a. shark. >> Never stopped. >> Never stopped. Always looking for. >> We enjoyed PJ Flick, but boy, nobody's. talked about Minnesota in years. I mean, game day was out there, remember? In the. middle of the snow. I thought they were. going to go on a run. I guess you just.
can't keep up with everybody else's. money, talent, and everything going on. in the modern Big 10 that we live in. Now, on that note, we would like to wish. good luck to PJ and Minnesota and the. Big 10 and to the SEC. Let's pivot to. the NFL. Tampa Bay is not happy with. Bake. Bake's not happy with Tampa Bay. We referenced his press conference. yesterday during our going camping. He. also uh had a side interview with Jeremy. Fowler. We also uh think we saw him with. Pete Brisco. I think we saw Pete Brisco. sitdown interview and in all of them he.
was letting people know that he was not. >> pumped about everything that had. happened during negotiations. Now Chev. is telling us that the Tampa Bay. Buccaneers have let the word out. We're. not thrilled that he's doing this. either. So this is franchise. quarterback, 31-year-old quarterback has. won for you and we all kind of know what. the comps are and how much everybody. should be paid at this stage and they're. not getting a deal done and Baker's. pissed and they're pissed. What's going. to happen, Treas? And how does this end? How do you see this ending? And is this.
just going to be a tumultuous year that. Baker's going to have to feed off the. spite? And is Tampa Bay Buccaneers going. to feel the same way? How do you kind of. see this working out, you think? >> You know, it's it's funny because I I've. interviewed Jason Light, the GM, a. thousand times. I know Greeny, not R. Greeney, but Greeny in Tampa, who runs. the salary cap there. He's been there 20. years. And these guys to a man have. never spoken about a player, a leader or. person like they talk about Baker. Mayfield. This is maybe the most beloved.
player in that building since Brady. left. Um leader, everything man about. town, but also represents the right. things. Hangs out with the offensive. lineman. And the hope was that this. wouldn't be the way we start camp. I. think everyone in Tampa is a little. like, whoa. Okay, but this is Baker to a. to a tea. And if you know Baker. Mayfield, it's question me. Question me, challenge me. I'll bring it every time. And that's been the story since he was. at Texas Tech and they brought on.
competition and he left and he walked on. at Oklahoma and ended up winning a. Heisman. It's the same thing where, you. know, Cleveland says, "We're better off. without you." And he's like, "All right, I'll make this roundabout way and I'll. get back there." The question is $60. million. Is Baker Mayfield a $60 million. quarterback? And in a lot of ways. >> you say, well, I don't know, but in this. day and age, if you have Baker Mayfield. and he is the guy and he is. representative of that city and is so. good for that organization and has taken. to the playoffs, pay him whatever it is.
because in a year it's going to be 70. million or in two years it's going to be. 75 million. The salary cap keeps going. up. But there is a budget, a salary cap, and a way that they have this pie. And I. think the hope was that they would come. to an agreement and that this would be. one of those where, okay, Baker, let's. keep it. Baker nipped it right in the. bud. First day of training camp, get me. in front of the first microphone I can. And oh, Jeremy Fowler, ESPN, you want me. to do the PR message points? No, I'm. going to say exactly why I deserve that. money and why I think so. And it's years.
and it's time and it's average money. Gosh, as as a as an independent person. and a capitalist and all this stuff, you. have to appreciate Baker Mayfield. saying, "I want mine and I'm going to. use this moment of time and you're gonna. give me the podium and I'm going to do. it." As a Buccaneers person, you're. probably like, "Can't we do this behind. closed doors? Does it have to go this. way?". >> Yeah. Well, I found it to be great. because he had the Buccaneers flag right. over his head. I mean, it was literally. right over his head. Had their jersey. on. >> Yeah. And it just sucks that this is how. this team operates. [laughter]. It was just And that's your quarterback.
and that's Baker. But we did think they. were kumbaya though. Oh yeah, cuz just. like you talked about like we talked to. Jason Light as well and obviously we had. BA in here last year. He was very tight. with the organization. The way they view. Baker was like a godsend. Like we are. very lucky and thankful for Baker and. Baker Baker heard all that as well. >> Week week week 18 against the Panthers. in that monsoon. Baker's playing with a. messed up shoulder. Baker's playing with. an ankle that's all messed up. He's. getting the crappy gets up in the rain. every single time. just like you cannot.
ask for a bigger gladiator and guy who. leaves it on the field like Baker. Mayfield does and in the fallout of all. that all offseason it's like we love. this to me might even be more shocking. than any other NFL news going on that. Baker took the offensive and was like no. no okay let's let's hey you want to go. we could be friends but I'm also going. to going to speak up when I think it's. time I I find it fascinating. >> to your point though we like Jason Light. we trust him we think he's going to do a. good job but like this is not Great. Feed's come out, he wants a trade.
Baker's come out, he's not happy. It's. like that's a lot to deal with going. into a football season where it's. already hard enough to win. You know, it's already hard enough to win in the. NFL. And then you look at the Saints, it's like the Saints are actually. throwing a parade down there. I mean, they actually have a parade happening. It's like the NFL will not wait for you. to figure out your drama. The NFL is. going to continue. Let's uh last. question for me before the boys have. theirs. Patrick Mahomes running his ass. off at practice. They're running. options, fake pitches. He's duking. people out or uh deing people out. He.
looks nimble. He looks fast. Chiefs fans. are wondering why he's running and. getting a little negative about it. I. just saw him double step on his left. knee right there. I see him being very. healthy. I love that they're doing this. I like that he looks this good this. early. What is kind of the word out of. camp that you're hearing not only about. Mahomes, but the rest of that team, Shrags? >> Yeah, that he's ahead of schedule and. looks amazing. But how do you govern. this during training camp because he is. coming off the ACL? The the historically. Patrick Mahomes has played in the second. preseason game, does it at Arrowhead and.
plays the full first half and has a. couple great plays and gets the fans. excited. I think is going to be a really. interesting decision. Do you put him out. there in the preseason this year? Do you. let him even do that because it's just. what he's always done or do you. gradually ease him into this and say, "You know what? Why don't we just do the. practices? is we don't need to put you. against live bullets in a preseason game. where someone might be wanting to make a. point and try to make a roster. Um. they've never protected Mahomes in any. way like that. They've always let him. just be Mahomes. He's a, you know, a.
bird that's, you know, a caged bird. Go. free in the preseason. Do you? >> That's right. >> Whatever it t this year, I wonder if. they govern it a little bit and see, hey, maybe we don't need to see you in. the preseason. Let's start week one and. let's go there when you play Denver on. Monday night. >> AJ, you see the same thing as me, right? That first clip zoomed in. He does a. double bounce on his knee. could have. got over right there could have got over. his toe. It's like the amount of strain. that is on that knee and that double hop. right there immense. Would hurt so bad. if he had any pain going on and then. afterwards him skipping there's no lame. >> there's no lameness in that left knee. I.
mean he is boopping around right there. It might be a little stiff cuz he has a. entire brace on it but he's skipping. I. I think yeah this is a guy who feels. very good about where he's at. I think. that should be good news, not bad news, personally. But I do appreciate Chiefs. fans going, "H ANDY, COME ON. >> PAT, you said you weren't going to do. this. >> PUT HIM IN A BUBBLE OUT HERE." IT'S. LIKE, I think he needs to see where he's. at. And I think as soon as I see that, if I'm a teammate of his or if I'm a fan. or anybody, I'd be like, "Yes, he is.
very healthy for this particular time.". Because there wasn't that long ago that. we saw a highlight of him rolling to his. left and throwing where Dr. David Chow. came and said TBD on if he'll be, you. know, week one or whatever. And then now. you kind of see him skipping around. It's like, yeah, Mahomes is just like we. thought he was. Middle of that dance. floor. >> I was gonna ask. >> up on that stage. You saw it. >> Yeah, it was very early just watching. like, geez, all of the Chiefs are here, doctors, coaches, everybody. And. Patrick's going to town up there in. front of everybody. At some point,
somebody would say, "Hey, you can't be. like that." Just like the Malik Neighbor. softball thing. The amount of people. that had to let him onto that field. I. think you heard me and AJ say he had to. be let out there. Now, obviously it. looks terrible, but he had to be let out. there on the Giants beat. Ty actually. has a question for you about all of. that. >> Yeah, Shrekes. Uh I mean a little bit of. that like in terms of when you look at. what they are doing. Uh Cam Scatabo, uh. what like is he is he going to be their.
go-to guy this year? We know their. backup is very good and uh we had Art. Stapleton on yesterday who said, "Listen, everyone likes Jackson Dart and. they're excited about him, but the way. Harbaugh is like they want to be a run. first uh offense." Do you think Scatabo. like everything's good with him? Uh we. saw again, you know, I know you saw it. Fanatics Fest, he does the backflip, it. doesn't look great. He's had a bunch of. stuff like that this offseason where. he's kind of showed, hey, the the leg is. good. What do you expect out of him.
going forward this year? I was actually. surprised the Giants didn't go big after. just getting another running back in. free agency just because they've built. up every other spot of the roster and. that one still might be a question mark. Scatter was awesome in his limited time. last year. Tyrone Tracy does things. inside the numbers but also can be a. pass catcher and of course you've got. some of the veteran guys that are still. there. But there's going to be a big. microscope on those two guys,
Scatteraboo and Tracy, because Harbaugh. and Greg Roman and Matt Naggie to a. point, those are running guys. Like they. want to control the ball and they're. going to use Dart in that way, but like. you need to have a bellcow. Remember. when Greg Roman was with the Ravens, it. was Mark Ingram and then of course you. had, you know, Lamar and you had all. these different running backs that were. doing the job and then. >> Yeah. And then you go through all these. different players that Naggie's had over. the years. As much as they've been a. passing offense in Kansas City, a lot of.
that was, hey, big game Dame Williams is. in the back field and we've also got. Clyde Edwards hair. Like this doesn't. strike me as a Jackson Dart throw the. ball 50 times a game team. So the. running game is going to be massive. And. help. >> some is going to be pissed anyways. Oh, [laughter] I just thought about the. Baltimore Ravens wide receivers coming. out publicly and saying, "Why are you. going to have dogs if you're never going. to use them?". >> Mhm. >> And then, oh no, >> who was that? Ob who said, >> "No, that was uh went to Arizona.".
>> Hollywood. >> Was that deep Threat, right? >> Was that Hollywood? >> Yeah. So, is everything going to be okay. with Malik Neighbors who once again you. put him above Terry McLaren? Uh I think. that was last. >> last year at this time and I still will. which which by the way every Giants. person we have talked to has echoed your. sentiment like yeah he is if he can put. it together he will be. Do we think. Malik Neighbors is going to have another. breakout year for the Giants, especially. if they're going to have success? Or is. this going to be something he's going to. have to get used to of being Patrick,
uh, Tracy, uh, Scataboo, Big Motor, Devin Singleary, Devon Singleary also. there. Uh, so whenever you think about. the run game verse having an ultra. talent that you all have said is top. four, top five in the NFL, the rest of. the league, we haven't seen it much. You. know, I think we haven't seen it much. We're excited about the opportunity. because he looks like an absolute. monster, of course, and his highlights. are outrageous. But how do you think. that all works out? And how do you think. Harbaugh's handling the entirety of this.
new Giants franchise with a lot of. expectations very quickly? >> Well, I think one of the reasons. Harbaugh took the job was talents like. Malik Neighbors. This cupboard was not. bare and Malik Neighbors has the. opportunity to be a top five wide. receiver in this league, if not better, over the course of his career. Uh, unbelievable talent. breakout game. against the Colts that we're seeing here. two years ago. Of course, gets injured. in unfortunate fashion, but the sky is. the limit. And the fact that he's. actually running routes and moving and. with the team at Greenbryer is an. amazing thing.
>> And I believe that I would have no fears. if I'm in fantasy football or if I'm a. Giants fan and that just because they. like to run the ball that Neighbors. isn't going to get his load of action, too. If anything, I would expect him to. be the focal point of the offense and. then the running game to complement him. I'll tell you what, good run game is. great for a deep throw. Yeah, great for. a deep throw. Load that box, baby. Yeah, you got Patrick Ricard, massive body. You got Scataboo, massive body. You got. Jackson Dart, massive body. You're going. to need humans down in the box. >> Got likely also now,
>> which. >> drafted Maui No, and moved him inside to. guard. >> Yeah, >> it's like, >> are you guys in on Giants? It's such a. funny I'm in New York and it's such a. funny topic because all all anyone wants. to talk about and it could be anything. from. >> we're gonna win 10 to 12 games to we. we're already too hyped and we're going. to win six games. Where do you feel on. it, Pat? >> I think Giants fans probably have a. little bit of sense of being jaded, you. know, with everything that has kind of. happened through it all. I mean, the. Mcadoo years probably are a little bit. difficult, especially coming out of. everything that you had. And, you know, the Eli Manning uh kind of exit and how.
that whole thing ended, debacle, I would. say. And then obviously the hard knocks. uh inside saying Saquon ain't worth that. money. Get him the hell out of here. And. then you know obviously Saquon going on. to be the MVP. So So I think like uh. Giants fans probably have had a lot of. examples and reasons to not believe. I. think that's probably why some are still. negative. I just like how positive. Giants fans seemingly are. Like I think. Giants fans being this positive is. pretty wild to kind of experience. because I don't know what you're going.
off of and they're like well before. injuries like when this guy wasn't hurt. He was unbelievable. When this guy. wasn't hurt, he was unbelievable. Now, technically, in theory, we're all back. together with a better coach who should. be good. And I'll tell you, I'm a buyer. I I believe it. I've been with Bruce a. lot throughout this entire I I believe. they're going to be good. I think cuz I. respect John Harbaugh as well as like a. winner. Do I think they're winning the. Super Bowl? No. No, I'm not doing that. >> I think they're going to win the. division. >> You You got them winning the NFC. >> Oh, yeah. >> I actually picked them to win the ECS. when they were done. >> Yeah. >> As did I.
>> I'm not laughing. I think it's possible. They were 18 to1 last year this time. This year they're sitting there at 6. to1. Um so I mean you know the sports. books think it's a rosier picture. >> [laughter]. >> um as as well. I I think part of it. though also is just that the Eagles and. Cowboys are are always going to be you. know pretty good programs, good. institutions, and it's always going to. be a challenge for the New York Giants. And yeah, we've been in hell since we. fired Tom Cough basically. Um, but yeah, it's it's as good a team uh at least in.
the offseason, as good as a of a feeling. as a Giants fan going into a year um. that I that I've had in a long time. >> So, Shriggs, I think you're hearing a. thunder that's uh certainly believers. But if it's all ass, you know, I I will. certainly say I can't believe I fell for. this [laughter]. >> First two games, >> what's that? >> First two games, Sunday night against. the Cowboys, that's a litmus test. Let's. see how this defense looks. And then. they go to LA. >> Yeah, it's tough. >> And they play the Rams on Monday Night. Football. two nationally televised game. and what I would say was the off.
seasonason of John Harbaugh being. treated like the Pope or something in. New York. Like you would think this guy. is coming in. He's Phil Jackson with the. 11 rings. I it's amazing. It's like oh. we got we got John Harbaugh so it's. done. Like we're good. They have to. actually go win these football games. now. I would add this when it come when. it comes to the Giants. Ree is very exciting. I don't know how. they're going to use him. Abdul Carter. had some moments last year. Let's see if. he's going to be good. Tibido like you. have all these guys in the front seven. that are freaks that were top 10 picks.
If they can put it all together and then. the offense is better. Yeah, they should. be competitive. They should be talking. about playoffs, not just talking about. being an over 500 team. >> Well, congratulations to the Giants. fans. >> Let's go get it this year. Over under. seven and a half. Feels like sports. books are like let's uh let's do reality. here. Okay, that's what they're saying. But uh feels like everybody in here is. pumped about the other side of that. Okay, let's move along, shall we? Tone. has a question for you, Shre. >> Yeah, Shre, let's talk about a team. that's not being talked about and uh.
that would be the Jacksonville Jaguars. and Liam Cohen talked about it this week. that he's looking at all these websites. and all he's seeing is pictures of Caleb. Williams and nothing on the Jacksonville. Jaguars. I saw that you talked to him. this week and you're talking about. Travis Hunter who looks very, very good. He looks like he's put on some really. good weight. What are your thoughts on. on the Jaguars and what did you get from. Liam Coen when you talked to him this. week? Liam's a master motivator and he. knows exactly what buttons to press and. what to do. And when he showed up to. camp this year, he had spent weeks. building up to this point of how I'm.
going to express and communicate to our. team what we can be. And I think a lot. of this they're leaning into this, hey, we're the 32nd market. They don't want. us to be the guys they're talking about. in the Super Bowl. They don't want to. believe in us, but look how good we are. and look how much we're ascending. Trevor Lawrence and him had an. outstanding off season. And then they. have these four wide receivers and I'm. including Travis Hunter who by the way. they will be using at wide receiver and. who ran even though he had the injury 23. miles per hour during practice the other. day when they clocked him. But between.
Parker Washington who everyone says is. the first guy in last guy to leave the. worker horse. You got Thomas Jr. of. course you've got Jacobe Meyers who's. your possession guy. Now you. [clears throat] got Travis Hunter as. your wild card. We don't know how. they're going to use him. four great. wide receivers, a great offensive coach, a number one overall pick, and a defense. that had to say goodbye to Devin Lloyd. who they absolutely loved, but they have. a lot of young guys that they're really. feeling good about. So, it's funny like. you go city to city to city. Jacksonville is one we're not going to. do a ton of talking about because it's.
not this national team, but remember, they gave the Bills everything they. could handle and they bring back just. about everybody else except a running. back and a linebacker and they got. better this off seasonason. So, I I am. excited for Jacksonville. It might be my. early AFC Super Bowl pick. >> WOW. WE LIKE THAT. >> WOW. >> We like that. >> I don't know if ESPN and Disney are. doing flips like Jacksonville Super Bowl. in their first year, but I am. >> Yeah. Well, I mean, ESPN is putting a. lot. Whoever's in the Super Bowl, it's.
going to feel I mean, >> yeah, >> we getting some uh early looks at things. that are happening. >> To say a company's going rather big on. something would be an understatement. I. mean, this is going to be a movie that. that obviously it's a Super Bowl, so it. has to be. We get a chance to look at. some of this stuff. Geez Louise. Yeah. >> And it's Los Angeles, so the amount of. opportunity. >> It's going to be gigant. If. Jacksonville's in that Super Bowl, I. think we will all uh certainly be pumped. because of the tale that could be told. depending upon who they're playing. Could you imagine Jacksonville Los.
Angeles Rams in there? >> Oh my god. >> Oh, that's And then Liam and Shawn are. best friends, so that's actually fun. There's a story line there. Well, story. line would be the Avengers take on a. team from Duvall. They're playing in Orlando. >> They're leaning into it so much though. like this is this is every it's like. playbook and it's just hey if this is. the hand we're dealt we are going to. play into that and they'll talk about. how many prime time games they've been. given. Like they Liam works with a guy. John Gordon. Do you know John Gordon?
>> J O N. Yeah. No H. >> Yeah. He's a motivational speaker. He's. also a guy who's a connector and is, you. know, a man of faith. And Kevin Oonnell, Shawn McVey, Liam Cohen, uh Chris Schul, all these guys. It's almost like he's. their fengali, if you will. They go to. him in the off season. Hey, I want to. put together my thoughts, my my my. visions, what and he puts together. >> basically what is your vision board for. your team. When you come into me, you. tell them, "What do we want to be? How. do we want to?". >> And Liam spent a lot of time with John.
Gordon this summer, and I believe. they're going to come out and they're. going to be motivated. they're going to. be on the same page and I believe these. guys buy in. Like they believe in Liam. and they love the fact that he went up. against Salah last year in that post. game. They love the fact that he barks a. little bit. So this Jaguars team is one. of these smaller market teams with a. giant chip on their shoulder and I I I. can buy into that. >> I'd like to I love Liam Cohen. I love. Jacksonville Jaguars. Good luck. It's. going to be tough road in the AC South. >> Yeah, let's never ever forget about. that. Especially with Danny Dimes being. back. I'd like to know a little bit more.
about John Gordon here. Okay. Because. anytime I'm hearing somebody is helping. shape, there's only 32 jobs. These are. NFL coaches are some of the greatest. motivators, leaders on earth. If they. believe somebody else can assist him, I. think that's a massive compliment. Now, John Gordon is a motivational speak. What What is John Gordon? What is. >> author? >> He's an author. >> Like, you know, like Ryan Holidayiday, like those type where like you read. these books and it kind of centers you. and it gives you this is the guy John.
Gordon. this is who they believe. I love. that you have the image. >> Uh Tim Tibo, all these guys go to him. and it's like this council ship almost. and a lot of it is faith-based and John. will talk to them about let's just like. let's ground you and let's build up what. you want to be and then let's build it. around your organization so we can set. the culture for the team and we might. think it's a bunch of hogwash whatever. BUT. >> WHO'S WE? WHOA. TALKING ABOUT SOUNDS. LIKE that in [laughter]. >> there's a we. Hey, that's not the. pronoun we're looking for in this.
particular conversation. We have not met. John Gordon yet. Okay, you could use I. and me if you would like, but we in this. particular setting, not. >> there could be cynics. That's all I'm. saying to any of this stuff, but if. you're a real leader and you look to. other leaders, he's the guy they go to. >> I love that we're doing a whole thing. I. was just mentioning his name. >> John Gordon is one of the most. influential and sought-after leadership. authors and speakers today. He's a. consultant to numerous leaders, CEOs, NFL, NBA, and MLB coaches, championship. teams, and high performers, and an. inspirational teacher who has helped.
millions. and [screaming]. millions of people have a more positive. mindset. He's the author of 32 books, including 19 bestsell Holy. >> 19 modern day Tony Robbins. >> No, I was going to say more like the. modern day Joel Ostein. >> No, I was thinking more like the modern. day Gandhi. >> You know, this guy praising is this guy. Shinszu? >> That's high praise. Who did Shrek say. earlier? Who do you compare him to? >> Their uh. >> Ryan Holiday. >> Yeah, Ben. >> Yeah, he did say he's kind of their. spengali. >> Bengali. A shaman, if you will.
>> Oh, a guru. This guy. >> Guru. >> Hey, congrats to John. We appreciate. what you're bringing to the NFL. Now, >> got to keep eyes out on his teams, how. they do. >> Yeah. >> You know, we got. >> him and Big Daddy work. >> Minnesota. >> Minnesota. >> Rams. >> Okay, hold on. >> Jacksonville, >> the John Gordon Network. >> Minnesota. >> The John Gordon teams. The other guys. hate him or what? >> Does he work with Big Daddy Shregs? Do. you know that? >> Big Daddy of Coastal Adviserss. No, I. don't know if they have it. [laughter].
>> Best life insurance man in the game. >> That's what we've been told. >> All right. Yeah, we've we've been told. He also put a Batman mask on himself cuz. we called him vigilante. So, we respect. that. Speaking of vigilante football, there is a huge storyline that kind of. came out of nowhere for us. Dan Orlovski. came on the show and talked about Max. Crosby. Is he going to be a Raider at. the end of the season? Then Jerry Jones. comes out and says, "Hey, listen. I'm. dealing the future for today. I'm making. a big big prospective move here." And.
everybody's like, "That's Max Crosby. That's Max Crosby." Then he came out and. said, "I didn't say Max Crosby. I don't. even know Max Crosby." Cuz I don't want. to tamper anything. Why is his name up. Tai? Has a question for you. >> Yeah. Shriggs, are you hearing that Max. Crosby might be available again? And I. think when that trade got rescended with. Baltimore, we were all just assuming. like, okay, you know, he's going to he. put out the Raider way song. We assumed. he's going to be a Raider for life. But. is there a chance that he gets dealt. like before the season gets started. here? Like are the Cowboys in play to. potentially get him? And if it's not the.
Cowboys, like is is he kind of are they. are the Raiders still shopping him? They've already traded him once, I. suppose. So maybe they'd be willing to. do it again. But what are you hearing. about Max Crosby? All all I hear right. now is how it's Kumbaya over there and. he's excited to be a Raider and let's. pretend that whole thing never happened. Let's turn the page and let's just, you. know, tackle a new uh challenge here. with a new coaching staff and new. quarterbacks and the whole thing. But. you better believe if this team starts. out not necessarily in playoff. contention, come the trade deadline, his. name's going to be the number one name.
because they've already traded him once. Um, >> I don't think this is like Jerry last. year where it was like he was, you know, looking to get someone and he was. trading Micah Parsons. I don't think. there was any breadcrumbs there. I would. be surprised if Crosby is traded before. the season starts. It seems like he's on. board and they're on board, but as we. always say, it's a week- toeek season. and with a trade deadline looming, if. they traded him once, they could. definitely trade him again. >> Yeah, but. he's putting out a lot of stuff saying. how much he's a Raider. Don't Don't we. think that he would.
>> It's not from his side. >> Well, that's But wouldn't he be hearing. from the other side then that he's at. least I don't know, man. You think they. would came in? >> Well, I think there's a new coaching. staff, fresh start. Like I feel like. it's all love right now. >> Okay. >> Be tough, wouldn't it, Pat though, to. tell them like, "Hey, uh, I know you're. multi-talented. You do all this, but. easy on the Raiders gear, you know, Raiders stuff. We might be, uh, might be. shopping you a bit.". >> Hey, we heard your the sample. We think. Raider Way. [laughter] We're deciding. what that looks like actually going. forward. Not you anymore.
>> Take the song down. >> now. >> Okay. Blackboy Max is fine. Take take. Raider way down. Now, >> by the way, Pat, can I interrupt? >> Kind of a banger, both of them. Go. ahead. >> Got some breaking news for you. >> What? >> What? What team? What team? So, we can. be ready. >> John Gordon's going to speak with the. SAINTS NEXT WEEK. >> WHOA. >> ADAM, Kelly Mo, >> did that just come into [laughter] your. phone? >> Yeah. >> It seems like John Gordon just texted. Shrikes, not John Gordon. It was not a. team source. >> Wow.
>> Watching the program and said, "Hey, John Gordon's coming here this week.". Hey, thank you for getting us Chris uh. Olive on Monday, too. Whoever's watching. this show from there, we appreciate. that. Chris Olive will be joining us uh. on Monday. We appreciate that. And uh. we'll certainly ask him about his time. with. >> John Gordon if he's already been down. there. That will certainly be something. What's this guy saying? >> I don't know. [laughter]. >> This guy's got the goods. >> He does. >> 35 books. That's a lot of words. 19. bestsellers. Jeez, a lot of good words.
It seems like. >> if any office needed it, it's ours. Let's get him in here. >> We cannot disrespect John. >> I didn't say we were going to disrespect. him. >> Yeah, I'm saying we will though. As soon. as he walks in here, I assume there'll. be some questions. >> I need him more than Oh, boy. >> You need John? >> I need guidance, man. I need some. guidance. >> I need guidance. >> Okay, Sh, you want to come out here for. when John walks in here so we can have. maybe a little whole team kumbay? Let's. learn about like. >> I'll hold hands. We'll do the We'll do a. drum circle. Whatever you need. >> This guy's going to be expensive. I I. can already tell. Just looking at this,
I can already tell he's going to be. >> He said pro bono for this one. >> I don't think he ever will say that from. this particular line of work. I don't. know if that actually ever happens. So, so what do we need? Do we need. bleachers? We need any seats here? We. need a. >> risers. Pew. >> Can't we do the same setup we did for. that cowboy that wore the thong? >> Yeah, the little roundy. >> Yeah, >> little Ronnie setup. You're right. The. the singing man's favorite friend. >> Pew. Okay. AJ took him home that day. It.
was weird. >> All right. So, John Gordon team is. Minnesota, Rams, Jacksonville, New. Orleans. Okay. A lot of NFC teams. Seems. like they. >> college teams, too. I believe. >> he needs to go to North Carolina. >> Oh, stat. >> Maybe it's already been. [laughter]. >> No, he doesn't. >> I wish it wasn't the case, but it sounds. like that might be the case. >> What country? >> What country do we live in? >> America. >> Yeah. Until proven guilty. Okay. Uh, all. right. I Hey, listen. Good luck to all.
parties down there, of course. And we. will keep our ear to the ground, but. maybe John Gordon does offer up his. services to Chapel Hill [laughter] just. a little bit. What do you think he says, Shregs? What What do you think? I. haven't read. >> I know. These guys, they love him. I. mean, McVey flew across the country in. the middle of the summer to go meet with. John Gordon. I'm telling you, it's real. >> Hold on. This might be it. We're reading. the back page. Don't let negativity, pessimism, challenges, and change. sabotage your team and organization. The. power of positive leadership program is. designed to help your leaders thrive by. developing a resilient mindset, leading.
through change, improving communication, and fostering a positive culture of. accountability and connection. A John. Gordon certified trainer, hand selected. for their expertise in positive. leadership, will bring this powerful. training to your organization. Oh, so we. don't get John logos. >> We get somebody. >> I'm a John Gordon trainer. Um, >> boy, you want to talk about snake oil. >> Here it is. By the gallon. [laughter]. He probably makes a killing at corporate. office. >> Hold on. >> The sea level. >> We're getting one of his copos sent in.
here though just to kind of do like some. recgnissance. I like it. >> Hello, Nevertis. >> Hey, that was not true. What I That is. not true what he said back here. >> No, it's not. >> You think all these incredible leaders, CEOs, NFL teams, MLB, NBA thought. changers, provokers are all going to the. wrong spot? I got it. >> John McFay is not buying snake oil. >> Hey, John. Exactly. Exactly. KC's not buying snake oil. >> Exactly. >> Now, if he got a couple other coaches, I. would change my tomb, but. >> Well, anyways, John Gordon, we can't.
wait for you to come in here, man. >> We'll put you right here, maybe. >> Yeah, >> right here. Right. >> I love this. I will fly in for this. >> Okay, Shanks, we'll put you front rows. You might sit on this one right. here. >> I need it. >> Okay, we'll just maybe sit in these. things. >> That's not a bad idea. >> Kind of just let him work. We'll put AJ. in the big thing here. >> Mhm. >> I think we got to be hand selected to. potentially receive this, though. So, needs to be front row as well. >> Debbone's not listening to a word. discussion. >> He's going on the mic. >> He doesn't have ears. He's You've said. it. >> Yeah. >> AJ, you didn't get to see it the other. day whenever he was operating that jib.
up there at ESPN. There was obviously. some people very worried about him. Uh. pretty expensive. Pretty expensive jib. Yeah. Yeah. So, he did he did do he. didn't wreck anything. He did he did. good. We appreciate him doing that. >> These fine people who certainly knew. what they were doing and had a lot of. vested interest in it were trying to. talk to him and tell him what to do. And. I was trying to explain to him like, hey, that guy's ears actually do not. work. Like they're sitting there, but. they don't really take he's kind of got. to figure it out himself. Like that's.
just kind of the type of person he is. You can tell him something for 6 months. It's just not going to He didn't eat a. chicken nugget till he was like 25 or. something because just, you know, >> still hasn't had eggs. >> Doesn't know what eggs taste like. >> Ty and I watched him try to stuff pork. sausages into his ears the other day cuz. he couldn't fit anymore in his mouth. >> Exactly. So that's what we're talking. about. Like so he he I don't think even. if John Gordon comes in here those. things will ever be able to operate. You. know even if we say to him like hey. everybody on earth is trying to listen. to this guy B would be like I don't care. he's it gives me the ick.
>> leadership actually gives. >> he's not willing you're saying he's not. willing to listen to. >> he's not a willing participant with his. ears. He he since birth, I'm I'm. assuming I I don't think this is a a new. thing, but I think he was born with the. incredible trait to just kind of flip. the switch on his ears. >> and uh he still hears like the world, but just like anything to him doesn't. make it in. >> It's like the parents in Charlie Brown. >> Exactly. The boys. >> and to him it's just kind of like. background tracking as he just kind of.
goes through it. And once. >> remember when he was sweeping and Cody. Rhodess came in. Exactly. >> Oh, >> well said. >> Well said. Great memory. >> Yes, Shakes. That entire situation is a. perfect depiction of these things just. being flaps on the side of his head. But. on that note, great work, B. You're an. artist. >> Hey, that a baby. >> He's an artist, Shreggs. He's an artist. Got to remember that. >> Love that guy. [laughter]. >> Yeah, we have to.
>> He. love everybody. You know what else? Hey, Shregs, it's Friday. We'd like to uh you. know, we're not the innovators of this. entire thing, but you know, it's nice to. showcase the highlights of the week. Would would you like to stick around. with us and do that right now? >> I would be honored. I'll just be quiet. and lay out. I want to. >> No, need you. >> Need you to be active. >> Okay, I'm in. >> Active listener. >> Not too active though, you know, because. you're in a different place and AJ's in. a different place and we're in a. different place. So, it's not easy to. kind of.
>> Don't be scared of your chest hair this. time either. >> [laughter]. >> That's that would be BNC. >> That was not the shirt. Rude. >> Own that trick. >> Hey, I will say you had good chest hair. and when you were trying to cover it up, you missed like five of them that were. doing this number here, which we. respected, but it seemed like you didn't. really want the world to know about. >> We like the fact that you're just, you. know, alpha man over there. >> Yeah. >> Yeah. Shregs. We like that over there. Okay. These are uh some things that. aren't asked for. >> Here we go. Here we go. [applause] Here. we go. Hey, you know, a lot of camp.
highlights, obviously, because football. is back. Let's go down to Carolina. Jaylen Coker, one-handed grab, shimmy. shake, has a guardian cap, no gloves. Give me that. Now, he cradled it a. little bit so people would judge, but. him not wearing gloves and having his. gloves in the back of his pants. I. appreciate AJ. If you could do it with. no gloves, you could certainly do it. with gloves on. I like he's making the. world harder on himself and then showing. up still. >> No question. You just got to make sure. if you're not wearing gloves and they're. tucked into the back of your pants, you.
better make that one-handed catch in. practice. Your coach would be pretty. upset. >> Yeah, this is the people who have their. hat backwards doing this number here, you know, trying to block the shot. >> Yeah, certainly me as well. Wear. sunglasses on top ahead as you can't see. anything. Maybe a fly ball is coming. Gloves in your literally on you in your. uniform tucked into your pants. You're. lucky you catch that. Coker knows it. He's a dog. >> He got paid this offseason. He's. probably feeling very confident. the. perfect number two to T McMillan. >> Uh Shre Holy Cross.
>> Wow. I like that Shrekes. That was a. good drop in. But I was going to. [clears throat] say to you, Shawn Payton. out in Denver, he got a weapon. Mr. Wadd. in Miami was certainly overlooked. He's. a talent. And hey, give me that big. guardian cap on. Feels like that's a new. norm for everybody at training camps in. NFL. Hopefully, it'll keep people safe. and not make it worse. But Jaylen. Waddle, one-handed grab shriggs. I feel. like that has been uh an afterthought in. the NFL conversation about Bo Knicks. picking up a number one. >> amidst all this AJ Brown talk for months.
and months and months. Very quietly, Jaylen Wadd swap teams and goes to a. team that was a couple plays away from. the Super Bowl. They are so excited. Payton can't stop raving about him and. he joins Courtland Sutton and Mims in a. good little receivers room. I am excited. to see and this is a good sign. >> Yeah, I think it's a great sign. Now, let's go over to Cincinnati. Obviously, we've seen a lot of fights. How about. Andre? He's boss. >> WOW. To drag swag, I believe, is what Nate. Berles says. Now, I do like the pants. cut off in the middle of the thigh. You.
know, I would like to have the tightness. of the pants on. I like the look of my. thighs. I got a good little uh uh. definition in the offseason doing. onelegged squats and uh split squats. And look at the toe foot control in the. highlight green shoes. This guy's got a. lot of moxy, a lot of pizzazz. I like. what we're doing here in Cincinnati. >> Yeah. Tyler Boyd used to be the number. three there. Was incredible there. Now. he's Andre steps in. He's the number. three. He's had a couple good good years. in a row. Sees a lot of single coverage.
uh in that offense. >> Yeah. With T and Jamar obviously out. there. >> Contract year, I believe, as well. >> Yeah. >> Oh, big time. >> Insane college career at Princeton and. was a track star. Um just an awesome. kid, an awesome talent. Zack Taylor. loves him. >> Great Princeton drop. >> Love it. >> What was the first one? Holy Cross. Yeah, Holy Cross Bob Koozie style. >> Are you in the ESPN Jeopardy show? >> I am. >> Who asked you to do it? We We've been. trying to figure that out. How'd you get. asked to do it? Was that uh like Joe.
Buck invite or who who did the invite. there? >> It might have come through Buck. I got a. It was around NFL draft. I got an ask. while I was at the draft if I would fly. to LA to do it the next week or. something. I'm like, "Hell yeah, let's. go." It was awesome. >> We're happy you're in that. Uh we would. like to say, "Hey, Suits, you scared? You a little scared of Tash Schmidt. coming in there and eating your absolute. lunch in that entire We got no invites. out here to the Thunderdome. Feels like. everybody at ESPN is representing except. for our show. So, we can only take it as. the suits are scared to death that this.
Iowa Hawker, this man who has the. ability to have 16 Red Bulls before a. show. >> Only two today. >> Congratulations. >> Thank you. >> Hey, it's a big step for you. >> Pretty proud of you. [applause]. >> No invite to the Thunderdome. It's we're. going to have to watch this see. Go. ahead. >> The buzzer really is like the whole. thing cuz you all know the same. You. know, we have the stupid sports brains. We all know everything and it's the. almanac. But like to get the buzzer in. there, Ty, do you rise to the occasion. in those moments? Could you be able to. just like say I'll have my best day in.
the biggest moment or do you think a. buzzer would mess you up? >> Uh Shrekes, is he a Big 10 angler? Uh is. he a video game player? Uh is he on a. stage in front of people every single. day? Uh yeah, I think so. Sh. Yeah, I I. don't I wouldn't be certainly wouldn't. be worried about the buzzer. I think. that's one of those things where you're. going to have to adjust. You know, if. you're not getting if you're not getting. in early, it's like, okay, let's let's. kind of reframe how we're doing this. year. But no, I I would be I would be. very confident and we are very pumped to. watch. We are very excited tomorrow. I.
won't give you a spoiler, but I'll give. you a spoiler. First round, there's like. multiple rounds of tournament. I took a. blowtorrch to the competition and was. like, [laughter] I'm just I'm not. And. then the second round, you'll see how it. goes. It was a battle and it was quite. humbling. >> Okay, Shrekes, I like to hear that. Now. grant it feels like I do know what. happened in the first two episodes with. Shregs in there and we'd like to say. congrats on that early. [laughter]. >> says uh we can't wait to watch it but we. would like to let uh whoever is in.
charge of that particular show know that. uh we understand why. >> because there's no way this guy could go. into your little suit show and just shut. everybody down. There's no way that. could happen. That'd be a real buzzer. killer, would it not? >> It would. But, you know, I mean, Shakes. raises a good question. How how am I. going to react if I'm standing next to. John Ham, you know, and his hamaconda. maybe, you know, maybe I grab that thing. and I'm trying to squeeze that instead. of the instead of the buzzer and then, you know, it throws me off. That's.
possibility. >> Hey, with what you just said, [laughter]. there's no way that guy could go in. there and all these Ivy League. >> Yeah. When he's doing Final Jeopardy, he's got both hands on the back of his. head and somehow. >> there's a chance. There's a chance he. might win it all. There's no reason that. guy though that says that and. immediately goes that could win a super. suit Jeopardy. >> He's too silly. >> No, couldn't do that. Couldn't do that. By the way, >> you got to have Ham on the show. I want. to hear his thoughts on Jeopardy. >> Uh yeah, we we'd like to let Mr. Ham. know he is welcome on this show anytime.
We are. >> Ty. You can ask him about those rumors. >> We have Yeah, we have. We've already. talked. Yeah, we've [laughter] done. that. We've taken a trip down that lane. before. Uh we love Mr. Ham. We also. appreciate the fact that sports trivia. is coming back in a big way. Absolutely. >> We love it. We hope ESPN Jeopardy has. great success. We hope that uh season. two exists as well. And you know, just. you don't have to be scared of the big. bad wolf out here in Indianapolis. You. know, especially whenever it comes to. being smart, you know. I'm I would never. put myself in there. Okay. That is not. my game. Unless it is. I don't know.
what's being asked. >> Sports Jeopardy. I think you I think. you'd be able to farewell on that. >> Matt, you'd do great. I've always been a. Wheel of Fortune guy, so Jeopardy kind. of scares me because normally you have. to be pretty well read, but if it's. sports, all sports questions. >> Yeah, we we can kind of cook in there a. little bit. H. >> Joe Buck didn't want Ty Schmidt to eat. on ESPN [laughter] Jeopardy. That's what. I. >> That's what I heard. >> That's what I heard. >> Bummed out about that. >> What are you gonna do? >> Joe Buck's so good. We love Joe. >> Love Joe Buck. >> Have a great weekend. We'll see you ON.
MONDAY FROM STEELERS TRAINING CAMP. GOODBYE. Good send off. >> Yeah, >> Joe Buck didn't want Ty Schmidt to eat. >> Let's watch and make sure it's something. we'd be good at though. There is a. chance, you know, that. >> Yeah, like I said, I mean, I've been. playing Sports Jeopardy, you know, >> circa 1995 on Sega Genesis, and I was. fairing pretty well back then. Trager. gets it, so you know, I mean, >> on the PC, baby. >> Oh, is that where you were playing? >> No, I was playing it on the Sega. Genesis. >> Yeah, that Jeopardy game on. >> Yeah,
>> that's awesome. >> Sports talk football. >> What's that? Joe Montana Sports Talk Football. Awesome game in between Techmo and. Madden. Awesome. Genesis game. >> Are you a gamer? >> Oh, that era like that's all I did. That's that raised me. Yes. >> What about Mario Kart? Are you a pretty. good Mario Kart player? >> Oh, yeah. >> Game Genie. >> Golden Eye. Game Genie. >> What was that game that you guys all got. addicted to? The first one that really. started killing people. You started. shooting people. >> Call of Duty. >> Call of Duty. >> No, before that. >> Halo. >> Halo was the one, right?
>> Doom. >> Doom was the original. >> Doom was sick. Doom was the one where. you like saw the thing, right? Yeah. Yeah. My brother Doom was first, I. think, and then Halo game, then Call of. Duty, right? That's kind of the line of. games. >> I never played those. The only shooters. I really played was Golden Eye. >> Yeah. >> Interesting. I watched My brother was. great at video games. I watched him play. a lot. I was ass at video games. I was. so bad. Mario Kart's the only one I. could really cook in. >> Yeah. >> Because I feel like that's the most. athletic one. >> Sure. [clears throat]. >> Mario Kart probably the most athletic. one.
>> Most thumbnail. How would we do in a. video game contest against other. >> not good? >> I mean I don't I just don't have time to. play video games in a while. >> 10 years ago dominate. >> I [snorts] I think Connor I mean he just. got married. >> like Mitt who someone. >> I don't think. >> who plays the most in the off who games. the most. >> But he just got married though so we. don't know. >> Yeah. >> We think that might. >> that's done. >> Yeah. >> Bone. But Bone only plays WWE. >> Yeah. And he's good there though cuz I. think all he got doing in that one is. >> Yeah. A lot of button mashing. It's. weird. He's always playing Braun panty.
match. >> Did you guys bring up SummerSlam? >> I wanted to ask Treggs what uh what his, you know, favorite match on the card is. >> Yeah. >> Night one or two. Doesn't matter. >> I like Dowhausen versus Miz. >> Well said. >> Me, too. >> Who's that again? >> That guy won you a NBA title. >> Dahaz [laughter]. the mic. >> That guy That guy won you an NBA title. That's disgusting what YOU JUST DID. >> I LOVE THAT GUY. [laughter] YEAH,
>> DUDE. DAN, >> that was awesome. >> Danhousen. >> Dan Hen. [laughter]. >> Yeah, he he. >> he was cool as I was in the green. room with him, man. Like, get up. He was. cool. He was hanging. >> Yeah, he's hilarious. He's awesome. He. also got a lot of power, dude. >> He's got a lot of power. >> Yeah, >> he's got a lot of power. That guy, I. think he is he taking on the mic? I. don't think so. That is that at. SummerSlam or No. >> No, I just made that up. Those are two. guys I like. >> You like the mic and Danhousen? He did. sit next to the mic at the uh SPS piece.
>> Oh yeah, I forgot about that. Remember. us turning the corner and seeing the mic. and shreds next to each other? >> That was awesome. >> Well, they had that Jim Abbott piece. which about the kids with disabilities. and I'm I'm literally crying. >> and I look over to this professional. wrestler and he looks at me, he's like, I'll let I'll let it pass. Like you're. allowed to do that on this. I'm like, all right. I thought he was going to. >> Hey, there was some emotional stuff in. there. >> Especially if you're kind of tired, a. little bit uh. >> a little bit boozed up. Yeah, there's. some real emotional pieces in there. They were telling some real stories. >> I cried like the entire show.
>> The whole time. Yeah. [laughter] Yeah. The whole time. I was like, "Oh, man." And then I had to get up there and. talk. >> Yeah. >> And I was like, >> "That one wasn't emotional either.". >> Yeah. Not at [laughter] all. I was just. thinking of the story as I was going up. there and I'm like, "Oh my god.". >> One of the cool things, I don't know if. anyone saw this at home, the the the uh. I'm going blank. EMT. What would you say. he is? >> US Coast Guard. >> Coast Guard. He was rushing off stage. afterwards. Pat grabbed him before he. got off backstage. And Pat grabbed him. physically and said, "Hey, take a. moment." And just kind of flipped him. around and let him look at a whole crowd.
of like the sports world's greatest. giving him a standing ovation. And I had. chills from Pat doing that. It was a. really cool moment from you. Good. awareness. And I think it was at that. moment where this guy realized like, "Oh, wow." Like I know I'm being humble. I know I'm being modest. I know. But. like this is this is a this is a really. cool moment in my life. >> Yeah. Scott is his name. He uh I wish I. had his official title. I wish I had his. official title. We didn't we it wasn't. ever said there. He was awesome. He was. a true lad of the lads and then. obviously her hero and courageous and.
everything and he obviously just kind of. deferred all of the to everybody you. know like well the army did this this we. this or this which is what you would. >> I guess the reason why he's getting that. award is because you want. >> because that is how he he kind of. thought about it but he was a lad of the. lads as well as uh Scott Ruskin okay is. his title but yeah he was awesome and it. was cool as we were walking off you I'm. fighting through tears in my eyes and I. turn and the whole place like that that. hadn't happened. You know, people go up.
on stage, people were standing, but when. people were walking off stage, there. wasn't uh uh standing yet or whatever. And I I didn't know what the show was. cuz we did miss rehearsal 100% on me. I. didn't know what was next, but uh yeah, I don't know how often that happens for. people, you know, and it's like uh I'm. happy he got a chance to see that. Yeah, that was uh. >> that was cool for Scott, man. And also. cool for our heroes in general. Thank. you for being badasses. [clears throat]. Actually crazy how courageous. some people are out there.
>> Then you got us. >> Ty scary go to the bathroom if he had. four Red Bulls because he doesn't know. what's going to come out. >> That's right. You never know. >> It's why we need them. >> Shrekes. Who's your favorite wrestler? >> Probably Jake the Snake Roberts. >> Okay. Shout out Jake Snake. >> My current roster. >> Yeah, current he's the inventor of the. DDT by the way. Jake Snake, which is a. huge huge impact. >> I like Orton. >> Hell yeah. >> Good call. >> Hell yeah. Love. >> Randy. >> Pat and Orton do some some in the.
spring and I loved it. >> So you're big Snake guy. The Viper and. Big Snake. >> Yep. >> Yeah. Dan Hen, not your guy. >> I like Dan Hen. Dan Hen's cool. Um Trick. Williams. I liked him. My son loves him. >> He's got a big one this weekend. >> Yeah, Trick's got a big one this. weekend. Are you going to SummerSlam? >> No, I will not be in Minneapolis this. weekend. All right. Well, it's twoight event. Saturday, August 1st, we got Fatal. Influence versus Nikki, Bri, and Paige. >> I can't wait for that one. >> Those are three Hall of Famers. Yeah. >> Okay. In one, the Usos and Jacob Fu.
>> Holy. >> Representing the Bloodline take on uh. Royce Keys, LA Knight, and Solo Doo. Sakoa. >> Okay. >> Who you got in this one, Shrags? >> You know, I It's too close to tell for. me. [laughter]. >> I get it. I get it. And. >> true. >> Tough to pick. You're right. >> What is that? Triple. >> When these two match up, just throw the. throw the record books out. [laughter]. >> Is that a street brawl or.
>> Minneapolis street fight? Yeah. >> No, that's a uh I think that's just a. standard. >> standard. Okay. >> Sixman tag. Okay. Uh Gunther versus Nick. Aldis. Now, this one's going to involve. some heavy shots. I think people forgot. who Aldis is, you know. Yeah. He is. foreign Adam Pierce. That's what I. thought he was. >> Sure. general manager of Smackdown. Uh. he was involved pretty mightily in me. and Orton story as we were trying to. save the business. Turns out Cody. Rhodess had it saved all along, you. know, and we were kind of misreading the. entire situation. Remember he had to.
deal with me a couple times. >> Oh yeah. >> Now he's fighting Gunther. I think he's ready. >> Is anybody ready? >> Strikes. Who do you got in Gother versus. Aldis? >> I'm going to go with Gunther on this. one. >> Yeah, everybody feels that way. That. might actually motivate Aldis a little. bit, huh? >> It could. He's one of the most violent. champions in WWE. So it would be. >> the. >> Oh, the back. >> That's not Wall-E. >> Pip the artist formerly known as Wall-E. Yes. >> He was never known as Wall-E. He He was. Walter.
>> Weren't people chanting Wall-E? >> Wallally A. >> I swear they used to chant Wall-E for. him. >> No. No. No. They never said Wall-E. They. never said that. Like maybe not. No. Gother. Never said Wallally. They never said that. Never said that. We're all on Gothther here. Yeah, >> we don't like foreign Adam Pierce. getting a win. >> No, >> no, he's not the most violent champion. >> How about Liv, champion versus Eio Sky? Liv, >> live. >> The technical difficulty in that match. is going to be through the roof. >> Is this the first time she's defended.
the strap? >> I saw that stat across the bottom of the. screen. It's been forever since she's. defended this title. It's like Liv works. whenever the right person shows up and. gives her a challenge. That's why Liv is. the champion. >> I like Liv to win. Shrekes, you got Liv. or Eio Sky? I got live on this one, guys. >> Oh, she retains. How about you, AJ? I. >> You know what, guys? I think Eio Sky IS. GONNA TAKE THIS. [screaming]. >> HATE TO do it. I hate to do it, but I. got to trust my instincts. Son of a. >> Okay. All right. Jeez. Let's get.
>> Very technical match. >> Yeah. CM Punk verse Cody Rhodess. A lot. of history here, obviously. Now, just. about a week ago, it felt like they were. kind of all fun and games, but we know. Saturday night when they get in the. ring, it's gonna be a master class. Who. you like? Shrigs C and Pory. Rose. Cody Rose and Cody Ro.
[screaming]. >> Who you picking? I love the storyline of CM Punk being. the overestimated or the underestimated. the guy chipping. Yeah. But I also like.
when Cody has to fight back for it. I'm. going to say for SummerSlam, CM Punk. Pride of Chicago is going to have his. moment and CM Punk is going to beat Cody. Rose. >> Wow. Wow. >> That'd [snorts] be a shocker to us. >> Yeah, I know. This guy gets some. business. >> Yeah, does feel like he kind of. understands. AJ, who who are you riding. on on Saturday? Who you hopping right on. top of on Saturday? Maybe. >> So, I hate to uh pick against Shregs, but I I got Cody Cody Rhodess on this. one. >> Oh, you're riding Cody. Okay. Yeah,
>> you're riding with Cody. You're. straddling him down there. Riding him. right to happy view. >> No, I won't be there. But yes, I will be. rooting for him from afar. >> You'll be riding riding with Cody. Riding on Cody, if you will. Ty, who do. you got? Cody or CM Punk? >> I mean, it's always been OD OS, especially after we saw the athletic. achievements he put on at Goofball Fest. Yeah, I'd say that he's ready for this. one. >> Okay, Tone, how about you? Who do you. like? >> I hate seeing Punk with a p passion with. a. >> Why? >> The power of a thousand sons, >> which is crazy cuz Tony dressed at him.
uh dressed as at Wrestlemania. >> I didn't know a ton about [laughter] him. at that time. >> You did. >> What do you mean? I know it's kind of he. been around forever. >> I do I didn't do that. I had to do that. stupid clobber in time thing. >> Yeah, you crushed that [laughter]. though. >> You were really good. >> I did just breaking news on WWE.com. They're up for a MTV music award. uh. video award for best kiss, too. So, I. hope I hope I'm the best now. >> Okay. So, I think you're picking Cody. Rhodess. >> Yeah. >> Okay. But you were once a CM Punk. CM. Punk's in the best shape he's I've ever. seen. >> He's ever been in.
>> I It's It's unbelievable. CM Punk uh did. put on a master class at WrestleMania. >> Okay. He absolutely did. >> Lost. >> Nope. >> Didn't Well, it didn't. >> No. No, he did not. >> Am I thinking of a difference? >> You see the title right there over his. shoulder. Did he go against Roman? >> Mhm. >> He won that one. >> I think so. >> I just thought Yeah, that's just not. possible in my eyes. >> Well, to be clear, >> how long ago was that? When did he had.
to That's when he had to have got the. title, right? >> I thought Sammy had it for like a day. and then CM won it. >> Okay. >> Oh, yeah. Sammy had it for one day. >> So, Roman beat CM Punk. >> Uh, yes. According to Nick, yes. >> Okay. Congrats to our tribal chief, by. the That's a big time win. That's a big. time win. >> Yeah, it is. >> So that CM Punk got humbled in that and. then he came back stronger and then won. the title from Sammy and now he's. defending it against Cody. Is that's. what happened? >> That's what it sounds like. Yes. >> The fact that Sammy had the title for. any amount of time, too. Jesus Christ.
What are we doing? >> Samy's a grinder. [laughter]. >> You're a grinder doesn't mean you get. the strap, brother. >> Why? Sammy did has done so much for the. business. And who says that he doesn't. have. >> We've gone down this road. These two, they just don't look like a WWE champion. in my eyes. >> CM Punk does. >> finally. >> Okay. And now he's champ. He's got Cody. Rhodess, though, who we we got to. experience. Cody is the FA. I mean, he. is the Bish. >> Yeah. >> Everything you want in the Bish. Cody.
Rhodess is. >> Yeah. >> So, I'm going with Cody Rhodess. Actually, because of all that, I'm going. WITH CM PUNK. >> YEAH. PAT, come on. >> Okay. >> Oh, wait. It's in Minnesota. Give me. Actually, Punk's going to win. >> Okay. So, hold on. just by location. >> CM Punk in Minnesota, especially uh you. know, Midwestern gonna have to do that. And then Brock and Oba Femi, this one is a Clash of the Titans. >> Yeah, telling me. >> big guys. >> A Brock.
>> Okay. AJ Hawk has Brock Lesnar. A. gathering of the Goliaths. >> Saturday in Minnesota. The next of the. business and a prodigy of the business. Shrekes. Who do you like? Brock Lesnar. from Minnesota taking on Oba Feami in. Summerslam Saturday night. >> See, I watched Lesnar walk off after. that last fight he had at at at. Wrestlemania and I was like, I'm good to. close the chapter on that tip my cap. like and now he's back. I'm going over.
Fe. I just It was a classic way to end a. career. Just just go off into the. sunset. >> Oh, was it worked, brother? You got. worked. Oba thought Oba thought it was. over, too. So he said, "I don't have to. worry about that guy anymore." Yeah, right. The big bad alpha male of our. species was still hunting him down. >> Paul Heymon. >> cried. Paul Heyman cried when Brock. retired. I mean that was good work. >> Yeah, it was good, man. >> That was really good. >> I was emotional at home in New York like. what's happening? [laughter].
>> Do we think Brock comes out for nothing? >> Uh number 69 Viking jersey. >> Yeah, I hope so. Hope he comes out on a. motorcycle, too. Just come on and let. that thing eat. >> That' be sweet. Oh, maybe he knocks that. stupid uh Viking mascot off of it and he. rides the. >> motorcycle. >> No, I'm not talking about the Minnesota, but they are in a stadium, right? >> Yeah, >> that's a huge stadium. >> Massive. >> Okay, let's go to Sunday. Let's run. through Sunday's lineup as we pick that. entire [laughter] card. Everybody pick. Brock there or is everybody picking Oba? >> I'm going I mean I forgot it was, you. know, in his back backyard. >> Whoa. >> Wow. Sh. AJ, Brock, you know,
>> I got Brock. Brock. Brock, >> but you're doing Oba's one. I just love. doing that walk. >> I'll take Brock Lesnar in his hometown. over Oba Femi. Oba's got a great future. ahead though. >> Yeah, he does. >> And if this was potentially Brock's last. one at home, >> be good one to hang the boat up at, >> you know, but there is the thought of. like. giving a rub to the next generation, you. know. There is like one of those things.
in the business. So. >> maybe Brock will have it one and then. say for the good of. >> the business. >> We are going to kind of let Oba do it. >> We'll see. >> Brock's never going to quit though. >> No. No. >> But but maybe he does. >> because he's for the better. >> Let's go to Sunday. Panther taking on. Chad Gable. Shreds. Who do you like? >> Who is it? >> Okay. >> Oh, come on. Chad Gable. [laughter]. >> Okay. >> I can't see it. It's Olympic wrestler.
Chad Gable. Okay. American Olympian. wrestler. >> Iowa wrestler Gable. Yep. >> Okay. And then I think he's Minnesota. actually. Maybe. I'm not 100% sure. >> Not related to Dan Gable. I know that. >> Oh, he's not. I thought Dan Gable. >> Yeah. His name's Chad. He hell of a. wrestler actually. One of the greatest. in the ring. He He's second coming of. Kurt Angle who 20 years ago today. >> Won his gold medal in the Olympics with. a broken freaking neck. >> Yep. Yes. >> Remember that. >> Shouts to Kurt Angle. He said, "Do it. all over again. Just hard work and grit. and not nothing stopping you. We love.
Kurt Angle. If Kurt Angle was wrestling. in SummerSlam, we'd say Kurt Angle was. winning. Yes, >> that's what we'd say. Chad Gable verse. Penta. Who do you like? Shanks. >> I like Gable. >> AJ. >> Chad Gable all day long. >> Ty. >> I'm going to go Gable as well. >> Okay. That doesn't sound like Tai. Go. ahead, Digs. >> Yeah, these colors don't run. He's American. one gold medal. >> But you are kind of wearing black and. white, which is kind of pentas.
>> Oh, these colors. No, the colors that. run through my blood. >> Okay. Red, white, and blue. Yeah. Okay. >> Okay. I'll ride with Gable, too, for. that. But I think Penta's got a a real. chance here. He's special talent. And. then we got Baron Corbin. Bum ass Baron. taking on Trick Williams. And Shreggs, this is who you said uh is beloved in. your household. Baron Corbin's a. problem. He's a an experienced vet who's not. scared to do the low dime dirty tricks. to get a dub if he needs it. Also an. owner of skulls, human skulls at his. house. So shre, you're going to pick.
against Corbin and stay with Trick or do. you like Corbin maybe to get the big. time win? >> Corbin, I want to say pride of Kansas. City if I'm not mistaken. Rolls with the. Chiefs a lot, >> but I'm going Trick Williams here. I. love everything about him. I love his. whole presentation. I love the way he. fights and I think he's going to be the. next guy in wrestling. Oh, he's next guy. in wrestling. He's saying, "My time is. now. Your time is up." AJ, who do you. like? >> So, I'm going to have to admit. something. I was not prepared to pick. all the SummerSlam matches both nights, but I I can pivot and work in the.
moment. I like Baron Corbin. >> Okay. You need more stats. You. [laughter] need more. >> I need more stats. >> That was a strong pivot. >> I didn't prep I didn't prep for this as. much as I thought I I was. >> You talk about you watch every Friday. >> A way to prepare. We have been prepping. though for you. >> Yeah. you know, we we have been prepping. for you. So, we all got the answers. here. You know, we all have whatever. question you have, we have the answers. So, don't you worry about that, AJ. >> As long as they're healthy. As long as. they're both 100% healthy going into.
this match. >> You want to see an injury report. >> I [laughter]. need to know what's going on with these. guys. >> Okay. I'm taking Baron Corbin. Okay. I'm. taking Baron Corbin to come back in a. big way. Uh Tone, Ty, >> let's see. an upand cominging star in. the business versus some who I love old. washed up vet. [laughter] Uh yeah, big. trick. >> Okay, that when you tell it like that, I. guess it seems obvious, but that's not. Is that accurate what he just said, Ty? >> I'd feel a lot better if he was.
wrestling under the alias as uh Bishop. Dyer. But considering he's going back to. Baron Corbin, I'm going to have to go. with Trick Williams. >> You know what? Everything you guys said. was accurate. I'm going with Trick as. well. That sounds like a clean sweep for. Trick Williams. CJ, >> I got I got to flip. No, I'm going to. Trick. I I forgot about Trick's. athleticism, everything he's doing. Baron, I I love what he's doing, but. Trick is he's the guy. He's the next. guy. >> This is a long way away from Tom Pesto. It is. >> long way away from Tom Pesto. Golden. Gloves, boxer, NFL offensive lineman.
>> Yep. [laughter]. >> We got a chef now. >> Yeah. >> Is he still got it in? >> I think he might. >> cuz I I've ended days had to wear a neck. brace. >> That's right. Oh, yeah. Exactly. >> Yeah. >> He's tall, athletic, fast, strong. Is he. though? I don't know. because he's been. doing a lot of whiskeying online. >> Exactly. We're gonna find out. >> How about uh Dan. >> Hazen. >> verse Dom and they're fighting in a. >> hell of a cell. >> Ladder match. >> Just a match. >> They're fighting in the square circle.
>> Is this SummerSlam? We're all the. gimmicks. Give me a hell in the. cell. Give me a Minneapolis. street fight. Where's all that. >> I think there is a hell in Cell the. first night, right? Now we're Brock and. Oba. Are they doing. >> Are they sell? Yeah, they're doing help. >> I Okay, I thought so. I I just need. [laughter]. >> It's all there. >> Okay, >> it's all there. >> Just making sure. Just making sure. >> Dan Hen or Dom, who do you got? >> Shrekes. >> I'm not familiar with Dom. He looks a. little bit like Taylor Lewan in this. photo. >> Yeah, Dom's Dom's a problem. I will say.
Dan Hen's a menace and a problem. >> I'm a Dan Housing guy. You know it. New. York Knicks. Knicks in five. Dan Hen's. the reason why. >> Okay, I like that. Bars, actually. AJ, who do you got? I mean, you know, we. can't I cannot pick against Dan Hen, so. give me him. >> Ty, >> I can't pick I love Dom. Can't pick. against Dan Hen. >> Uh, Diggs. It. >> feels like Dan Houses's got the rub. right now, but as far as, you know, just. technicians in the ring, >> technical ability. >> Yeah. Give me Dom. >> Foxy, is Dan Housen back there with you. right now. >> No, he's not. What the hell?
>> All right. Yeah. >> Do the voice. Do the voice, Bruce. >> Come on. Come on, Bruce. >> Hi, Jinx. >> Come on, Bruce. Human monies this. weekend. >> Human monies. I lost all my human monies. yesterday on the Cardinals. >> Yeah, I love Dan Hen. I love Dan Hen. >> He's the man. >> But Dom. wins his. >> Dom and his dirty tricks. >> Yeah. >> And Dom's got people all over the place. >> Yeah, it does. >> But Dan's got those little ones. >> Mhm. >> Give me Dan Hen. Big time win out of Dan. Hen. Okay, here it is. Both former world. champs. Finn Balor taking on Sami Zayn.
Peter Shreger, who do you got in this. one? >> I've got Finn Bower winning this one. over Sami Zayn. Oh, I like we love Finn. Balor. What's the crack? He's a good. Irish lad taking on Canadian Sami Zayn. Uh AJ, who do you like? >> You know, I've been I've been sensing a. lot of um hate for the, you know, for. Sami Zayn coming, especially from Tone's. direction. So, I'm going to take Sami. Zayn in this one. >> Wow. You think maybe Tone inspires Sammy. to get the job done? Uh let's go to the.
toxic table. Uh Ty Schmid, who do you. like? Uh Finn or Sami Zayn? >> Love Finn. Uh, I I would expect Sami. Zayn to deliver several Huova kicks. during this match. Maybe a couple blue. blue powder bombs or Thunder. Yeah, sure. Uh, chances are I'm going I'm. probably going to opt out and go take a. during this match. This one just. isn't doing it for me. >> Could have gr I know. I like it. I like. it. >> The main event. >> This ain't the This ain't the. main event, TS. Come on. This is. Summerslam. You kidding? Uh, so yeah, I.
might I might go drop a deuce during. this one and check back in. What is your. This is what you're talking about, AJ. Finn Balor and Sami Zayn have put in so. many years into the business and this is. how the toxic table feels about it. It's. unbelievable. >> I appreciate it. >> You I appreciate how many years. they've put into the business. But um. >> so who you picking? Nobody. You're. picking the bathroom is what you. >> Yeah, exactly. >> That's unbelievable. Tone, who do you. like? >> Well, [laughter].
we got a 12-pack versus a bag of milk. That is not. >> Tony. >> That is not how Sami Z is going. >> Give me Give me the demon. >> Okay. Finn Balor, we don't know if he's. the demon. Shreker, I don't know if you. know uh what that means. Okay. So, Charlotte, Jade, Tiffany, and Chelsea. Is it a fatal four-way here? >> Chelsea Green. >> So, what's. >> what's the rules? >> There a surprise guest up top with the.
>> Yeah, I don't know what's going on up. there. What's the rules on this one? We. >> got silhouette. >> It's a interim WWE Women's Championship. ladder match. >> I'll tell you, they are going That is. going to be a really good uh. >> Yeah. >> Yeah. >> All of them fly. All of them are willing. to do stuff. That's going to be a great. match. >> Yeah. >> I'm actually excited to watch it. That's. a letter match right there. >> Love it. >> Okay. There's going to be a Charlotte. Flair. >> Exactly. >> This one's easy. >> Who? >> Chelsea Green. >> Okay. Ty. >> No, it's it's Charlotte Flair. We were.
just with her. I mean, you know, [laughter] I'm not I was going to do the. whole thing. I'm not going to do it. right now. So, I'm just going to take. Charlotte Flair. Uh she looked very. motivated at the SP. >> Yes, she certainly did. Her and the mic. She had to deal with the mic obviously. through the through the entirety. Uh not. deal with, sorry. Get to hang with the. mic, which is how we all feel. >> Shreds in that latter match going to be. uh. >> this one's show Steeler, I do believe. Who do you have winning? >> I'm going with an upset. I think Jade is.
going to take it. And I think we're all. going to be talking about Jade on Monday. morning. >> Oh, she's beast. >> She is. She's an absolute beast. AJ, who'd you pick? >> I'm picking Jade, but it's not an upset. So, I think Jade's going to be upset. that Shregs threw some shade her way, saying it would be an upset. I think. Jade is the favorite. I'm going to pick. her to win. >> Congratulations to Chelsea Green who. wins this one. I think Wow. As you kind. of look at this, Tiffany's going to fly. >> Tiffany Tiffany. >> Tiffany Tom. >> in Minnesota, right? She's from. Minnesota, I believe. >> Okay. >> I believe. Uh, so there's going to be. something that's going to be absurd.
Charlotte's going to do something. insane. Jade's P is going to do. something. And then Chelsea Green, who. gets absolutely demolished early. She's. crappy. >> I I mean, she There's two tables. Maybe. she goes through very quickly early. And. then she at the end is going to survive. She's going to go crawling up there. And. Chelsea Green's going to be champion. >> Wow. Is the belt hanging from the. Raptors? >> Yeah. Glad I met. >> Who's the silhouette top right though? Is that Is that some surprise coming in? >> Shakes. Drake should have inside info on. this. >> Otis tapping in or something.
>> I don't know if Otis is. >> I think former Vikings head coach Mike. Ty is uh the special referee. [laughter]. >> That'll be so good. >> Mike Zimmer. >> Could be. >> Could be. And ladies and gentlemen, all. roads lead to this. >> Yeah. >> All of Saturday happened. All of Sunday. happened for this match. Roman [groaning]. Reigns taking on Seth freaking Rollins. Mhm. [clears throat]. >> Seth Frein Rollins has become a sports.
analyst. >> He is obviously a man who has. accomplished many of things in the WWE. Will be a first ballot hall of famer. How do you think he fares against. Roman. Reigns Shanger? Gotten to know Seth very well. I find. him to be incredibly talented. I think. he's passionate with his sports takes. >> I also think he is great for the WWE as.
is Roman Reigns. Midwest guy, Chicago, the whole deal. >> He's from Iowa. >> with Seth Rollins in a victory. >> Okay. You don't really know him that. well. You guys got your relationship. >> Iowa, but then Chicago. He likes the. Bears. >> There you go. >> He does like the Bears. Do you like Seth. freaking Rollins? >> I like Seth freaking Rollins. >> You like the visionary. You like the revolutionary. You like.
>> You don't know. >> I don't know the theme song. >> No. Yeah, you don't. Oh, [screaming]. you'll be standing on your couch doing. it on Sunday night. >> Seth freaking. >> I just need to hear the I need to hear. the actual music. Then I can sing all. the words. >> No, but that what I said wasn't the. song. What I said was what he says every. time he's in the ring. Literally every. single time he's in the ring, he says. it. I give him credit. He's up at 4:45. in the morning doing good morning. football. He's going to win a wrestling. match. >> Yeah, you're right. That's good work. ethic. And he is from Iowa. Obviously a.
dog. Will that matter though with who. he's taking on? AJ, who do you like? How. do you like it? >> I mean, come on. We know that. Uh Seth. Rollins, I I love what the guy's doing. He's everywhere and he's very talented. But we all know. Give me Roman Reigns. >> Talk to Table Tone and Tai. Uh, Seth has. my favorite entrance in all of wrestling. right now. But. >> yeah, >> Ty. >> Yeah. >> Yeah. >> Just kidding. Give me the What? Give me the architect of destruction. >> What? >> Yeah, I'm going with Seth freak. And.
he's in Roman's head already. We saw it. We saw it. Roman can't get away from it. >> What did you just do right here? >> Yeah. What was that? >> Broke up the shield and he's just. crawling right into Seth's trap. >> He is a master baiter of him. He was. able to bait him masterfully into the. ring to get a stomp onto a chair. He's a. revolutionary. >> He's a visionary. >> He's also maybe the greatest masturbator. of in the history of wrestling. >> Yeah. I mean, you want to talk about. technicians in the ring?
>> Look no further. >> All right. So, you like Seth Frein? >> I do like Seth Frein. >> And Manti's been teaching him new moves. every day. >> I believe it. >> Is Tom Brady running out? >> I think Jamie, too. >> Tom Brady. is where is Logan and Tom? >> Yeah, >> I saw Logan was doing stuff from that. card show in the collective in Chicago. He was doing booms with AJ and Big. Justin, >> dude. I love that. >> Those guys are everywhere. [laughter]. >> They're working a gimmick, bro. >> I know. It's crazy. I I respect the hell.
out of it. >> Yeah, that's one of the greatest. gimmicks a wrestler an indie wrestler. has ever gotten over. >> Yeah. >> Yeah. He's Cuz you got to remember, Dad. is an indie wrestler. >> He's a worker. >> He's a worker. He gets it. And he's got. to gimmick over with his entire family. >> Yeah, >> pretty good little work. >> He needs to come out Summerslam. Maybe. >> Oh, that would be awesome. >> Maybe they throw the Rizzler, >> you know, like maybe Brock hits him. >> Like shoot him out of shoot him out of. the the horn up top or something. >> Mhm. >> Gallow horn. >> Are you going to hit that thing, Shrek?
You're not going. All right, we're going. to try to get out there for this. Yep. >> Obviously, it's a huge deal. And uh. >> I want big justice in the in the. Danhousen mask. >> Now we're talking. At least you know his. name now. Okay. The guy won you a. title. You're the best. We. appreciate you, ladies and gentlemen. >> Appreciate you guys. >> Big weekend, SummerSlam. >> Huge. >> Let's enjoy it. >> I can't wait. >> Hope someone wrote down our picks. >> Lot of picks, AJ. You weren't You. weren't prepared for it, huh?
>> I didn't get to do the the as much prep. as I would have liked to, but I can. always, you know, I know who's going to. win, >> especially with. >> the business. We'd like to say thank you. for everything. All of you are the. reason we get to have the greatest jobs. of all time. We're so incredibly. thankful. Monday, we'll be live from. Pittsburgh Steelers training camp. >> Hell yeah. >> Can't wait to get out there and watch. the boys work. Have no idea how that's. going to go, but excited to kind of. experience it. Very honored and thankful.
to be there. We will not be heading to. the Hall of Fame on Thursday. Um, and. then we'll be on the road following. Are. you okay? I just had a shooting. pain go up my entire arms. >> Left one. That's good. >> That's the side you want it to be. >> I don't think so. >> You're good, bro. >> Hey, great work you two. Really, I don't. know what just happened right there, but. you good work out of you guys. Behind. the glass. Good work this week, boys. >> Boys, good work, boys. >> AJ, way to go.
>> A bit of tightness, too. Are you? Yeah. >> I hope you guys are all right. Graphic. design boys. WAY TO GO. GDP. >> YEAH, BOYS. [screaming]. >> Zo Tim battling. There you. >> go. Go boys. >> To the construction workers outside who. have no idea with every single step that. they take, they are taking our power or. our internet. And I know it's not their. fault. So, it's it's a little bit of an. interesting dynamic. Mhm. >> When you have to rely upon a generator.
every day, you learn a lot about. generators. >> And it turns out these generators. definitely good for power at some point. >> You know, >> fickle bunch. >> They are a fickle bunch. >> Yeah. >> This is too big of a generator. You need. a smaller generator. >> Yeah. The big one actually turned off by. itself because you you weren't using it. enough. >> So the generator didn't want to give. power because it wasn't giving enough. power. Yeah. Yeah. Well, there's a. setting you could have turned off, but. obviously you didn't know about till. now. We should have definitely ran.
through how much power it's using before. we plug this thing in. You bought this. one that's 10x the amount of price that. you actually need. >> Okay. >> Okay. So, we bring that other one in. How's that one doing? Oh, actually, well, they got a little bit of an oil. thing going on. We're going to have to. redo the entire engine. Sick. Let's get. So, we get another one. Well, actually, with the way it's belt, we could. actually take the other one and make it. a But it's already too big, right? Yeah. But we could change the setting to make. it smaller. >> Be a friend. Tell a friend something. nice. That's what's happening. AJ, >> I mean, I've been thinking for years. about getting one for my house. I don't.
