Halloween from the. thundero it is October 31st 20123 Aaron. Rogers Tuesday this program starts. now football happened last night in a. big way on Monday Night Football and we. will obviously chat about it all damn. day we'll be talking about all the. sports happenings and obviously we'll be. enjoying the holiday that is maybe the. greatest holiday there is where you. dress like an and have the time. of your your life and make Memories.

Forever I am currently dressed as a. Buddhist whale uh named Lolita or Tate. depending upon when you met me uh I did. pass away before I could enjoy the open. Waters of Washington and the Pacific. Northwest and also the Waters of a 757. that Jim ERS was going to deck out into. an aquarium for me to live my best life. I do have friends and siblings that I've. lived alongside in a dumpy aquarium down. in Miami but they've all commed suicide.

because how terrible our life conditions. were you I've remained my buest mindset. this entire time because life is what. you make it and I choose to make mine. the best this is Jim 's favorite whale. this is the NFL's favorite whale and. this particular whale died too soon and. that's why I'm paying my respects on. this beautiful happy Halloween I'm not. alone here though no no it's a different. cast of characters on this glorious. Halloween Aaron Rogers Tuesday the toxic. table is here at Boston Connor who was. turned into spider sperman Spiderman.

what what's the inspo here pal you look. good yeah so originally you know I've. been planning this for quite some time. of course and I was going to be Gaba. goul and then when I went to make my. Gaba goul costume yesterday turned out. to be very difficult so I started open. up some you know boxes that I have in a. while I'm currently playing the. Spider-Man video game on the PlayStation. 5 I look into a suitcase that smells. like absolute poop and I see this. Spider-Man costume and I say to myself. holy hell if Aaron Rogers forgot his. crutches and Ed that as a sign to stop.

using them I forgot my go Gob ghoul. costume because I see this Spider-Man. costume I meant to put that thing on I. had to cut a couple holes obviously to. make it a little easier but yeah I. couldn't be happier with my decision I. will say they say like 80% of. communication's non-verbal Bingo a lot. of it is like facial expressions and how. you're deliver we can't see any of that. because of how disguised you are but. those words sound beautiful I just know. I'm locked in okay my my facial. expression is locked in cuz I don't know. if I'm going to get a call and I might. have to go save the world hey it's trade. dead day exactly and look at you you're.

Dynamic St Brown then defensively all. three levels mcneel had a couple sacks. anzalone on the second level had a. couple sacks Kirby Joseph had a pick an. important pick in the red area so just. an all allaround effort for the line and. like you said getting their guys in that.

McDaniel before he coached a game in the. NFL was in our office and he sounded. exactly how he sounds right now he was. actually told yesterday that he was a. Halloween costume and this is his exact. response this is the new Wonder kid in. the NFL this is the new guy drawing up. plays that everybody else is replicating. around the NFL being told that he is now. a Halloween costume and the kids are. dressing as him speaking of uh. adolescence wearing jerseys um one of. the hot costumes in Halloween as you. kids wearing I I've seen it posted on.

social media kids dressing up as Mike. McDaniel um that does not compute that. doesn't make any sense I have the video. if you want to see it they did your run. at on Sunday Night Football one kid did. the run and then a fan last night yest. faster than the kid curious what as you. see it goes into dressing up like Mike. McDaniel I have no idea this is this is. um I refuse to accept that as reality so. so he has been like that literally since. day one he's been a to lead a team not. just a team a team of superstars a team.

that is very very talented and he's. remained the same exact person listen to. this interview that Michelle bisner Buck. had with Motor City Dan Campbell last. night and listen to how he and watch how. he reacts to his first group of team. that he had a chance to coach with the. Detroit Lions it was September of 2021. and you were just getting started here. and I asked you to give me one word that. would describe your locker room and the. identity of that team it was two years. ago at that time time do you have any. recollection of what that word might.

have been no it would probably be. something like gritty. boom is that the word that you would. still use today absolutely why. absolutely we're we're the same gritty. team we're just more. talented that's that's what I would say. cu the core of that group man you talk. about a bunch of dudes that were just. going to battle and H yeah we didn't. quite have the horses we got now but. those guys you talk about laying it on. the line and uh going toe-to-toe with. anybody and willing the fight to the end.

I'll never forget those guys yeah you. know. yeah what's making you emotional right. now he's thought about a guy with a high. ankle spring going back into the game. yeah that's what we just thought think. about up downs I just uh got a broken. wrist come on 10 up downs I appreciate. you guys. that lay it on the line hell yeah maybe. you're outnumbered maybe you're not the. most talented and uh maybe uh the odds.

are against you and nobody believes in. you and uh and I respect the hell out of. those guys that'll fight you know and. uh and that's what that's what we're. about that's what we're about man that. that's how we that's how we roll here. that tears roll that's why get yeah it's. like real CP it's real that's genuine. cry and it's like you if you're a player. that watches that it's like man our. coach our coach genuinely loves us like.

our coach is all the way in with us. that's why I think that culture is so. strong up there because they found the. guys that they wanted obviously they're. like hey we need guys that fit our. culture what did Kyle Whittingham say. you're changing for us we're not. changing for you pretty much that is how. I think a culture that's already been. built has to operate because it's like. hey we are who we are you can fit in or. you can get the hell out feels like they. found their guys and that guy is. somebody that I put out a tweet last. night that said I'd run through a with. that guy and normally when you're. talking about a coach you say for that.

guy I said with that guy because it does. feel like he is literally right next to. him running onto the field every single. game he's doing the up downs with him. he's in the practice with him his. speeches are like this is what we are I. love everything about his leadership. style and it's paying off massively. obviously for the Detroit L the GM Brad. Holmes and Dan camell have just built. this team in their identity you always. hear people say good football teams take. on the identity of a head coach I mean. bad football teams at times too you see. it with Mike MC Daniel and what's going. on with Dan Campbell and you see that. interview you know it's not you know you.

it's not you know it's real so. you know it resonates you know as. players as former players you know hey. you just want a coach to be himself you. know the football is going to come to X. and O's the great coaches Ben Johnson. Aaron Glenn they're going to do their. thing but when it comes to Identity when. it comes to you know that leader of men. that got to stand in front of us you. know every day to kind of set that tone. uh for the game for the year for the. practice week um just be yourself be. authentic and that's who Dan Campell has. been from from the from the junk Pete he. cried after a loss in like 2021 I think. after a game and we all immediately said.

guys's going to be crying a lot Hey. listen this is the NFL you're you're the. coach of Detroit Lions can't have you. crying after a loss that's what we said. at the time but now we're looking back. it was like he was heartbroken that they. lost that game and I think in that inter. in that press conference that he was. crying he said you get so beat up. whenever you see your guys do everything. right and it doesn't pay off for him. he's living and dying with every single. play he's old school coach I love. everything about it you have to hate. that in the NFC North especially with. where you guys are sitting Pete yeah.

absolutely but it's also hard to hate a. guy like Dan Campbell cuz we you know we. had all our fun when he first got hired. and oh this guy's a big dumb. he's a doofus you know everything he. says he sounds like a you know. we're going to laugh at him we're going. to make fun of him and then they stunk. you know and we kind of we kept saying. that kind of stuff um but yeah at this. point you know uh again you know they. got their guys in there and I think one. of the big things that you know not a. lot of people are talking about that. actually matters he played for the Lions. so he understands you know like hey this.

this team sucked when I was here okay I. lost a lot of football games I know what. this means to this city and these people. and and all that kind of stuff and then. obviously you hit on a couple draft. picks you know you get you and and. people are are kind of you know casting. aspersions and throwing stones at you. for that as well but you hit on those. draft picks and those guys come in and. they make it an immediate impact and. then yeah sure it doesn't hurt that the. division absolutely stinks right now and. the Boogeyman you know Aaron Rogers. isn't there anymore but I mean Jared G's. playing as best football uh you know the. that offensive Line's tough that.

defensive Line's tough and physical I. mean they debot mentioned it you know. they they really are kind of molded in. the image of Dan Campbell and it just it. just kind of took him a little bit of. time to get rolling is is this your best. one yet you think I don't know uh you. know I mean I've I've you know kind of. just in the office been doing Pete. themel a little bit for the guys and. everything but you know never really had. an opportunity to kind of you know take. it to to Center Stage but uh yeah I'm. deep-seated very deep down place of. admiration uh in my loins in you know. down in my gut um it's it's just I I. respect the hell lot of Pete Thell every. time we see him when we go somewhere I I. immediately where's Pete thill at I got. to go shake his hand you know talk to. him see how the family is see how he's. doing so yeah I I just want Pete to know. that this is this is a lot of admiration. that I have for him and that's why I. decided to kind of you know dress upage. him for Hall okay well we appreciate. how Pete's going to feel we'll talk to. him in a couple hours he should like it. he's the first just like when McDaniel. learned that somebody dressed up as him. for Halloween Pete you're the authority. now this is what happens this is what. you're you're big name you're super. could have been shefy could have been. yeah could have been. Shams could have been all these but. instead you're the authority of college. football Pete DL yeah there was only one. choice and it was pretty obvious is it. because you sound exactly like him. potentially um I don't know I mean I. listen to that college game day podcast.

Devonte Adams I talked about this on. first take remember he left Green Bay. Packers Green Bay Packers made an offer. that was similar to what the Raiders. offered allegedly then I heard Stephen A. Smith say they were delayed with that. offer though that's on their fault I. didn't remember that being a part of the. story but Stephen A saying it lead needs. me to believe that that was certainly a. part of the story on devonte's side it.

was like yeah as I'm going and deciding. to go to the Raiders they say wait wait. wait as I'm out the door here's a deal. maybe that's how it went down but. nonetheless there's a lot of things said. Devonte said he wanted to get out from. underneath maybe the shadow of playing. with Aaron Rogers because everything he. would do well you got the best football. thrower of all time throwing you the. ball they were friends but I think he. kind of said I want to go prove to. people that I could still be Devonte. Adams without Aaron Rogers he goes to. Derek Carr guy he knows very well very. very well. the situation How It Ends With Derek. Carr and the Raiders bad terrible kick.

situation about not being targeted and. let's get this guy the ball and the. other things he said he did drop one. ball last night y anomaly yes not used. he dropped one ball okay we get it but. buddy there's like 200 yards of re. receiving on the field still from Jimmy. G missing them and you start thinking to. yourself are the Raiders going to be. able to fix their situation in the next. year in the next two years when Devonte. is under contract do we think Jimmy G is. going to be the quarterback next year or. two years from now for the Las Vegas. Raiders do we think McDaniels is going.

to be the head coach of the Las Vegas. Raiders a year from now two years from. now so if you're Devonte and allegedly. Jordan Schultz at the Schultz report now. with Bleacher Report came out and said. that Devonte did test how interested the. Raiders would be in I mean that's just a. Miss that's just a massive miss that. doesn't happen in the NFL Jimmy G came. out and said it was a bad day but you. can't be having a bad day whenever we're. in the middle of a discussion about. wasting a guy's Prime Talent years and. what he wants to become and what your. team can become now Jimmy's going to. have a bad day that takes place but.

Devonte is about done with everybody. having bad days all the time seemingly. since he's come to the Las Vegas Raiders. trade deadline today at 4M so you have. to start thinking to yourself is Devonte. Adams going to move on from the Raiders. you start looking at his contract if. they were to trade him I think it'd be a. $31.5 Million Dead cap hit if he was to. go to another team they'd owe him $3.8. million which I believe is a prorated. salary for this year and then $17. million the year after that every team. in the NFL can make that happen somehow.

I feel like there's a very good chance. he's going to be on the move even though. he signed a massive contract to become a. Raider and it has done nothing like we. thought it was going to become debu man. he he's got to be just a long nightmare. right now cuz from the time he went over. there I feel like we've kind of seen a. different part of uh a different side of. Devonte we've always seen him and almost. not really heard him off the field but. he was you know complaining about. targets last year then even this. offseason kind of talking about you know. him still still being him away from. Aaron Rogers and things like that but. now with where things are going with.

McDaniels the quarterback situation up. and down week to week like that receiver. position it's great to have one but they. are dependent on so many other things. they're dependent on the play callers a. good offensive line a good quarterback. and make good decision and throws so. it's frustrating man you see his his. transition to you know Las Vegas and. then Tyreek transition to Miami remember. both of these guys pretty much moving. the same offseason like I mean it's. night and day what's going on there so. um I I wouldn't be shocked at all if he. moves maybe the ners I know they got the. most most cap space I know you mentioned.

the Chiefs earlier in the division so. we'll see but everybody Ravens would be. unbelievable but U Indianapolis Colts I. don't know about that one why Chicago. Bears are buying Chicago Bears are tra. Chicago Bears are making trades they. traded for sweat this morning from the. Washington commanders I don't think. anybody thought the Bears would be. buyers in this situation but allegedly. what is being reported is they have $110. million in cap space going forward after. this season and that they know that they. won't be able to get Mont sweat for a in. a second round next year so this is.

basically free agency in the middle of. season looking ahead to next year not a. bad play at all if that's the case they. have a corner who's requesting a trade. in Chicago jayen Johnson I wonder if. this changes that whole thing and what. are the Bears doing this is interesting. because they still will have those. number ones right because this is a. second round pick so still be able to. make moves with young young talent and. they're able to do free agency not a bad. way to use the trade deadline here in. Chicago but to my point though you never. know who's going to decide to trade for.

a team or who's going to make the best. offer for anybody you would assume it's. going to be the teams that want to go. Inn a Super Bowl very very true and. talking about Devonte like he did sign. up to go play with Derek car and with. Derek Carter he had 100 catches 15. touchdowns I think in 1500 yards like so. he had a really good season with Derek. Carr and then I mean he couldn't be. happy with what the Raiders did to Derek. Carr cuz they're what's going on you. just you look like an. in a good one what do you mean. well that's kind of what I was going for. but. uh yes that's who you are yeah Devonte.

would like you guys mentioned the Ravens. that makes a ton of ton of sense because. like obj he he's there he's he's having. an okay season Z flowers is but they. don't they don't have that like Devonte. guy like Devonte is is different the. Chiefs make the most sense out of any. team in the league because yes if the. blueprint is out which I don't think it. is like from the Broncos last week or. whatever against Kelsey like you can't. do that to Kelsey with Devonte but are. they going to trade within the division. I assume it would take a lot but if.

you're the if you're the Chiefs give up. whatever it's not like you don't need. the draft I mean you have your team. whatever you have Pat Mahomes like could. you imagine they do trade him to the. Chiefs and he ends up playing there for. eight years doing everything that we all. assume he'd be able to do with Patrick. Mahomes the Raiders fans who are already. I'd assume very confused about how we. got to this point yet again with another. coach another office another quarterback. another situation Raiders fans are a. real deal too they got a lot of passion. feels like you guys are only like I five. 10 years away yeah 5 10 years away at.

them on people what what is the how how. do star wide receivers change everything. for a defensive coordinator in a defense. at the NFL right now oh it's a great. question I mean to me anytime you're. you're dealing with a great wide out um. it affects if you're going to double the. guy uh how are you going to double him. and then when you start talking about. you know allocating resources to a. receiver then it changes the math and. the Run fits and how you're going to uh. you you know stop a good run team at the. same time so it it causes way more.

discussions um than if it's a team. that's not as good as in terms of. running the football but man we you. you're now doubling a guy and then oh by. the way how you gonna how you going to. outnumber him in the Run game and that's. where the issues become massive and and. decisions become massive whenever they. say like a blueprints out is that true. like you're going to watch people that. are successful obviously against a for. instance Kansas City Chiefs what just. happened to them with Denver people are. like oh this is going to be the way that. you play the Kan C this how you beat the. City Chiefs is that an accurate. depiction of what actually happens. behind the scenes I just think if.

wavering here at all it's just how we. are around here I think we just take it. one game at a time and believing that. we'd all come around as as uh the season. progressed and you know it's just great. belief in each other the players the. coaches and you know it showed on Sunday. you know coming off the bye we had a. great week of practice and uh the guys. were ready to go and uh you know we've. we've played in so many big games over. the last few years this was just another. one against a really good team and our. guys believe believe in themselves and. what we do and and how we do it and it's. showed on Sunday hey self Scout during.

the bye looking at other people what why. is there always an advantage coming off. a bye seemingly other than rest of. course I think yeah the rest for the. players is huge but uh you know we're. not I think you fight the battle to to. be honest I know I fought it a little. bit about maybe doing too much because. you do have the extra days and the extra. time to prepare so um you know you look. at what we what we've called what I've. called on certain situations you try to. change that up a little bit um and then. just you know the extra time to just. detail it out a little bit more you get. the extra practice day uh so that.

certainly helped especially against uh. you know the San Francisco offense where. they they Pro uh you know give you so. many issues that you got to deal with. hey I have some good news for you that. just came through Adam shefer just. reported that uh his sources are telling. him not a chance in hell that Devonte. Adams gets traded from the Raiders hey. congrats coach coach I I speak it into. existence there it is yeah I it's. probably because you came out said hey. let's all relax okay let's all let's all. maybe think about keeping them in there.

let's talk about the new offenses though. CU we do talk about the ners offense a. lot we talk about the Miami offense a. lot do you have to just build for. whenever you're inevitably going to run. into these teams that are juggernauts or. how do you go about balancing against. like Cleveland Browns team all right. we're GNA do this one Miami's wide open. the 49ers without Trent Williams and. Debo obviously a little bit different. but how do you prepare for teams that. seem to be so vastly different. offensively in the modern NFL. I think uh well it helps being in our in. our division because we get a little bit.

of that here you know you talked about. you get the rounds that are going to. line up in multiple tight ends and. before uh chub got hurt you're going to. get a heavy dose of him and that's what. they do uh but we see different things. from different teams you know with the. Lamar and what they do with Baltimore uh. the Steals and what they do but then you. know oh by the way we got to get ready. for the Chiefs and the Dolphins. hopefully in the playoffs you know as we. go down the road so to me it's a it's a. the Fine Line we get to see a lot of. different things from our offense which. really helps in in in the spring and.

OTAs and training camp so we get a good. mix uh based on again what we see from. our own own guys and then uh you know. within our own division it's crazy how. much the offenses are kind of evolving. and changing but then there's old school. still happening almost it's almost old. school is becoming like the the new. school almost it's an interesting time. you've been around long enough to know. that I want to let you know though. whoever your Barber is your fade on Su. hey Lou huh he'll love that he'll love.

that you look like you were 38 years old. byproduct of having a big a large core. your group of guys that are still there. and kind of carried over I know you lost. the two safeties you know kind of the. business uh Von Bell Jesse Bates but is. that part of that because I I could. watch film and see you in Seattle lined. up seven eight man's front bringing the. gas on third long and then this week. same look but now dropping eight like. how uh how does that work into that as a. coach yeah I think it's a it is a. byproduct for sure of having the guys in. the same system for a long time and we. able to build off of things that you.

know uh maybe you wouldn't be able to if. it was a a new group but uh we can we. can pull back from some things or reach. back to different game plans and say hey. we're going to make this look like uh. what we did two weeks ago and they'll. know and the the beauty of it is we can. do that on the Fly and the sidelines. with the our our linebackers Germaine. and uh Jermaine Pratt and Logan Wilson. they you know that we have conversations. on the sideline like they're coaches. those guys really are unbelievable and. it it just sprinkles throughout the. defense I mean you look at What DJ reer.

did um in on Sunday's game you know he. he was basically unblockable uh on so. many different plays and and and really. had a big part of what we did but yeah. it's it's a big big byproduct of how we. uh have so many guys on the same same uh. same together kept them together two. huge turnovers by those backers too last. week big big big time plays hey two. picks and a fumble let's go for the. whole defense unbelievable unbelievable. catch by Germaine I don't know how he. CAU that thing he's an athlete bro you. got some freaks out there I mean Trey.

Hendrickson come I mean he's B I mean. you got some dogs out there coach a lot. of success which means one thing. Football whole world's going to be. watching coach oh I assume the haircuts. going to be just as fresh but whenever. you talk about the Buffalo Bills. whenever you're getting ready for them. what do you do you watch their cuz. they've been uh this is me just being on. TV saying dumb stuff on a regular basis. you probably see it differently but. they've been a little bit more. inconsistent than normal on the. offensive side of the ball how we view.

are you watching for like their best. stuff are you looking like what they. normally are like how do you prepare for. Josh Allen when the year is gone how. it's gone for the Buffalo Bills so far I. mean I just we just look at the core. things that they've always done over the. over his course of his career we know uh. having you know good idea of what uh. plays or what type of Concepts they'll. run but man what an explosive guy at any. point he can pull the ball down and run. he can make every throw as we all know. and then they've got great weapons on. the outside so um they're doing they're.

doing a good job running the ball we. just take the whole thing in and and uh. you know we don't look at um you know so. much what was negative what was positive. it's more about just taking it all in. and making sure we understand hey these. are the concepts we got to stop this is. what the plays that we think where. they're going to attack us and then and. and then go from there how about big. Joey being back now we're saying he's. back but he certainly looked more. healthy than ever he had two quarterback. draws he an escape on thir third down in. the first quarter he's running faster. than seemingly he's ever run before and.

at the beginning of the year with that. calf injury I don't think any of us. outside of Cincinnati fully understood. what was going on and if he was going to. get better he maintained that it was. going to keep feeling better keep. getting better and then this past. weekend he's back to being old fash Joey. diving for first downs quarterback draws. being called and then boom need to get. it got to have it scoot scoot that's a. great defense he's running right by how. has it been having him oh no. oh no M we we lost it just says bangal.

Players especially on defense but too. talented especially at the quarterback. position I still think sha mcder is a. good head coach um great weapons over. there so good coaching staff definitely. not out on the bills yet I'm in on the. LED everybody signal to everybody what. we had seen during practice that you. know Joe is feeling really good and and. comfortable enough to you know to put. that extra element into his game which. is you know being able to move and run. and it just stresses I know is for our. on our side man that just stresses the. defense out when you can not only drop.

the news that his sources have told him. that the Raiders are not moving on from. Devonte Adams you signed the deal this. what you signed up for when you play. with the Las Vegas Raiders Devonte them. playing on Monday night and it was chat. about yesterday with the Lions. potentially wanting to add something you. can't really make any moves because if. it gets public and then your players. here they got a game on Monday night. that's very very important so they're. kind of delayed like by 24 hours after.

mustache looks awesome okay the bubble. gum big bubble pop it so cool so relaxed. last week you kind of sandbagging you. said there's no progressions I'm kind of. getting bummed out about the recovery of. the rehab nothing really happening and. then the next time we see you you're. doing three-step drops walking very. casually and absolutely spinning it. where are we right now how pumped were. you to feel this type of motion this. quickly after the Achilles surgery I. mean that felt great honestly I got my.

my super dad shoes on they they're the. Rockers you can tell they have basically. a little uh you know half circle on the. bottom it allows me to get from my heel. to my midfoot to my toe pretty easily. and last week was a tough week of rehab. uh but we kind of adjusted some things. with the with the shoes and with my uh. with my insoles and later in the week I. really started to progress kind of back. onto what I was doing few days before.

that and that was honestly the goal was. to just kind of keep on getting better. uh be able to do a little bit more I've. been doing more in my rehab and feeling. like I can uh you know kind of get into. a little abbreviated left right left. right drop and I just felt normal just. to be out there and throw mess around. with Timmy a little bit and play catch. and and uh you feel like I was uh you. know part of it that's that's what it's. all about that's why I've been flying. back here to see the guys and encourage. them be on the headset and uh but yeah.

for me that's just fun to be able to. feel like uh you know just kind of a. part of it not too too distant from from. the squad we talked to Thomas morstead. yesterday you had a massive game. obviously just absolutely MVP of the. game man he was incredible yeah he's. really good has been really good for a. long time too and he told us he grew the. mustache you know in honor of you. because you know he said a lot of guys. signed on his team because Aaron Rogers. was going to be our quarterback and we. were excited for it and then he said you. can kind of already see how the movie is. being written about this particular.

season with how it was supposed to go. then the adversity that comes four plays. into this and then the recovery and how. it could end with the Jets sticking. around are you still dreaming big dreams. and whenever you talk to the guys what. are the conversations like because it. feels like their admiration for you in. that locker room is through the roof I. hope you feel that well we made some. great connections over the three months. you know that I was there after the. trade and uh you know into the uh the. slight little break and back for. training camp Thomas is one of them we.

had a you know him. myself and kind of the older guys Greg. zerin alwoods. uh we all a part of uh a squadron a team. for the uh Navy Seals came in and did. some cool stuff and showed us how to. clear rooms and team building stuff and. we're all part of Team Zulu so we have. this kind of this little celebration we. do for each other we like make a z with. our hands and there was a lot of that. going on on Sunday because both those. guys had incredible games and they've. been so steady for us but um but there's.

a real tight-knit Bond on the on the. team and especially with some of the. older guys who've been around for a long. time and been to other places and just. you feel how special the the vibe is. that we have and the connection with the. guys and um I'm thankful for for that. it's fun to be back you know just where. I'm at in the locker room I get to spend. time with the uh some of the older vets. and the dment over in my corner for. whatever reason it's like Q Jeff alwoods. John Franklin Meyers uh Dwayne Brown's.

over there so we're always having some. fun conversations I miss those times. there's nothing like it you guys know. there's nothing like the locker room and. and cutting up and and figuring out the. problems of the world you know in. between meetings like we always do but. but I'm thankful for Thomas he's become. a good friend um his wife doesn't really. know my name she called me the wrong. name when she met me she called me. Andrew so um I'm not sure who she. thought I was but uh but that's a little. joke that's a little joke between Thomas. and I and and Daphne I don't even know I. think her name is Diane or Daphne or.

something. but probably neither of those but uh but. no I love I love Thomas man what a great. guy what a weirdo in the best way he. watch him after he punts it and he. Sprints down to the guys and then. Sprints off the field and um but him and. Greg and and uh and Hennessy have been. doing a great job and our teams have. been really good you know our special. teams has been really really good we had. legit returner and then you know we've. been covering kicks well obviously our.

defense has been incredible and. offensively you know we've gone through. our struggles for sure but um they don't. uh like we say in in golf you know they. don't drop pictures in the scorecard. they don't really drop pictures you know. on the in the standings either a win is. a win and those ones seem to always. count a little bit more late in the. season you know being four and three now. and coming away with a win and that ugly. game is gonna. uh make things a little bit uh more. interesting as we get into November and. December because you're four and three. everybody's dreaming those Big Dreams.

still yeah do we feel huh huh we're. still motivated inspired to do that for. sure I mean the goal is to is to come. back and the goal is to to be able to. have that conversation again there's. still a lot that has to happen you know. every week seems to be there's a. progression sometimes when you're in it. it doesn't feel like anything's. happening and and you're stag to some. sort of plateau but then you look back. and think you know I was walking on. crutches uh you know with about a month. ago now I'm able to take some dropbacks. put legitimate weight onto it transfer.

my weight get onto my front foot um you. know do uh really high percentage body. weight walking and and calf raises and. um we're just progressing so it's it's. it's really good there's still a long. way to go and a lot of things have to. happen we obviously have to be um you. know still alive but God I love I love. the vibe on the team I'm proud of our. guys I'm really proud of Zach there late. in the game with two huge throws and and. a clock with a second left to get us. into position I'm proud of the fact that. we lost our you know top two centers and.

titman was out and we're playing with a. guy who just got promoted from the P. Squad at Center and Billy Turner who's. been a long time you know mostly tackle. in the league playing Right Guard so. really proud of the guys up front the. way we battled again wasn't a pretty. game but that doesn't matter you. know at the end of the season when. you're buying for playoff spots that one. counts in the W column yeah and if. you're still alive for a guy who's 39. who has an Achilles to come back and. still be in it for who cares how you win. now they will say no the ref didn't.

touch that ball when it was spotted but. hey who cares want your way got to keep. it moving AJ has a question for you here. hey you mentioned how tight your team. was and the culture and everything and. how you guys get along so well is that. like how do you build that is that. simply just bringing in the right type. of people or it's obviously bringing in. the right type of people and then put. them in positions like how does that. that happen I'm sure you've been on. obviously teams over the years where. that you know comes and goes with how. how well the team gets along compared to. other times when maybe they're not as. tight no we've been on a lot of those.

teams together you know and you know you. and I would sit and talk about a lot of. this stuff about the chemistry that we. have about guys coming together and the. camaraderie I think a lot of it is just. the culture you know Foster an. environment where you're allowed to um. to have the freedom in a locker room of. expression and and and then also. encouraging guys to get together I think. that's a really important part of it um. encouraging guys to spend time outside. the facility together and build those. friendships and those connections and. get to know each other's significant. others and families and kids and and uh.

I think that's a really really important. part of it and I think Robert does a. great job of that is you know the kids. are always around so you know I saw some. people talking about you know me doing. random handshakes with random kids those. aren't random kids you know that's like. that's that's Jackson Downey that we. have our own uh you know handshake. together that's Todd Downey and our. quarterback coach's son I got a. handshake with uh with Adam Salah uh you. know Robert's oldest you know who's. around all the time and that stuff I. love that stuff you know seeing my. little godson Kade and his brother Cass.

at practice randle's kids is you know is. awesome and and then getting to meet you. know I laugh I joke about uh you know. Tommy's Tommy's wife not knowing my name. but getting to meet him and his kids and. getting to meet his kids and his wife. and and having the you know coach's. wives around it's just it's an. environment of it really feels like a. family and I I give Coach Salah and Joe. Douglas and the freedom that that Woody. allows uh allows for all those people to. be around I think it's really really. important to to create an environment.

where um you know guys are are connected. and and it's a it's a one it's a big uh. big family feel it feels like what they. have going on is not normal in a lot of. places which is why you wonder why the. Jets have been in this position for so. long because it feels like the building. is being run right maybe it's a new. group but also could you imagine in New. York City. this old ass man tears his Achilles. fourth play comes back leads the team to. success for the first time in what 50. years or something like that oh my God a.

that'd be a cool Halloween costume. people would wear forever the guy that. flipped the Jets organization on its. head in New York City Matt Canada has a. question for you man yeah Aon first and. foremost I saw that the watch you. designed dropped congratulations on the. watch it looks sweet hell yeah Zen yeah. oh look at that wow oh. how much is that never mind uh congrats. on the deal that's what I'll say. congrats on the deal that's awesome uh. but uh unfortunately uh Kirk tore his.

Achilles uh this weekend have you or. will you reach out to Kirk or has he. reached out to you potentially for some. advice yeah I talked to a couple. different people uh yesterday who had. mentioned that he might want to reach. out and I I asked him to pass along his. number and. actually got talked to him on the phone. yesterday um I really I really like Kirk. and I've uh competed against him over. the years and have a lot of respect for.

him and you know just got to talk to him. uh hopefully encourage him a little bit. it's you know sucks definitely sucks he. was playing really really well. especially you know what a crazy. situation everybody's trying to write. him off and and you know say everybody's. going to get traded there and uh you. know they're going to blow that thing up. and then they win a few in a row and. everybody said oh now they're a playoff. team and and Kirk's obviously playing. excellent so disappointed for him you. know in that injury but passed along you. know all the information I could and let.

him know what's been working for me um. not sure what he ends up doing but also. unfortunately you know alwoods uh my my. buddy my homie my teammate uh had the. same thing and and uh so because because. the rehab's been great because I feel so. good obviously people have been. interested in what I'm doing and and. uh um you know I've just been passing. along what's been working for me. obviously I'm a big believer in in Dr. ELR big believer in uh every in Heather.

and and daa and her staff at Elite doing. the rehab and um so that's the direction. I'd probably Point anybody to do but uh. you know just depends on what they're. willing to do and and how much you know. Freedom they have to to to get out west. but uh definitely the type of surgery I. did I think is going to be way more. uh mainstream moving forward it's not. for everybody not for every body type um. why is it not for everybody right there. is it for the recovery process is it.

because you have to be in La why is it. not for everybody I think both of those. things are part of it the other how. quick do you want to come back I said. let's come back as quick as possible um. you know uh but Kirk in no rush you know. like uh he's not going to be able to. make it back for this season uh Al same. thing and Al you know Al's a big man you. know weighs north of 300 lb and um so uh. not necessarily needing to get back on. his feet and get moving right away so.

it's again it's not for everybody but I. there's nobody better than than Neil and. I would send anybody to him uh that was. interested but. um um but again it just depends on. Logistics and a lot of other things but. I'm I'm uh you know I'm in the. conversation now when when there's an. Achilles and we had an Achilles Factory. Brewing out out west with myself and JK. and T white and avt and who else now. we'll see hey that's obviously no.

hopefully nobody but it does feel like. there's been more Achilles this year do. you have you noticed that as well and. what is your take on that is somebody. that's obviously a part of that. discussion oh I don't know I don't know. if you can really point to anything Kirk. got hurt on grass I got hurt on Turf Al. got hurt on Turf I'm not sure what U DWI. got hurt or JK but um it just you know I. think there's some fluke injuries that. happen from time to time I you know Kirk. looked like he pump faked and I don't if. they were running you know some sort of.

double move with a see on the backside. but like they like to run but um that. just looked like a thing he's done a 100. times you know pump One Way reset back. throw a seam and and you could tell by. the video you saw kind of the. reverberation of his leg up and down. when I saw that I I knew it was it was. going to be Achilles yeah it's just. if you guys are able and I'm saying you. guys as if you know you're a part of the. Achilles Factory which you are you're a. massive part of it you're the reason why. we're kind of talking about it if we can.

expedite the Achilles right like the ACL. used to be okay it's over then science. has kind of done its thing and surgery. is kind of expedited a little bit and. it's not it's like all right you'll be. back the Achilles still even in like. 2020 was like you're done basically. you're definitely done if this is able. to get sped up quickly all sports are. going to reap the benefits from this. this is huge deal I think for science as. a whole which is why I said the other. day this dude's relationship with. science is wild it really is because. you're in a part of it you're a part of.

the whole conversation here all of. it well you know if if science can't be. question then it's not science anymore. it's propaganda so oh je I think with. any type of science or in this case. medicine I think they're always has to. be uh trial and error and and new ways. of doing things this you know this this. whole technique came up uh based on a. actually a different uh process a. different type of surgery and the idea.

for this uh was built out of a way of of. anchoring shoulders um when you're. redoing uh you know a shoulder injury so. that's the way these things have uh. progressed there's some Brilliant Minds. uh who've been doing this obviously you. know there's uh there's multiple people. who' had this surgery now so it has you. know some some traction but uh yeah I'm. thankful for Neil and thankful for guys. like cam Acres who went through this and. came back quickly and and um but you.

know there's there's more than one way. to do things for sure I'm excited about. my rehab and um you know when you have a. a you know full rupture of your Achilles. like it it has been a death sentence in. the past for for athletes and it's kind. of one of those injuries you you really. really have fear about as a player ACL. you know ligament injury it's like okay. I'm going to come back so many people. come back but Achilles has been been. rough for a while so hopefully know.

there's more people doing this type of. surgery and then they can just keep. continue to make it better I'm not sure. what they what they'll do but but uh the. more that some Brilliant Minds work on. it I'm sure that the better this thing. will be will be but right now I feel. great about my recovery and I'm still. you know aiming for uh for a comeback. and and hopefully all those things are. in play so the conversation is is. available yeah and like the thought of. Achilles being a death sentence was Not. only was it a fear there's also like. nothing you could do to prevent it like. well can I Strength it they're like kind.

of this might work this might like it's. always been something that nobody's. really known about and then whenever it. inevitably pops most of the time nonon. it's like non- contct and everybody's. like Achilles and everybody's bummed. it's like it's over pretty much so what. you're doing is awesome bro it's awesome. to watch this whole thing and you and. those old man shoes dropping back into. did you play with Eli did you catch with. your knee on your left foot like what do. you what's the plan I would assume you. already have that in the process right. now are you wearing some big Gothic. boots yourself right now is that why. you're asking no I am not I'm just I. assume I can't wait to watch you wear. like one normal shoe on your right and. then one of those giant Dan Marino High. Tops on your. left no I think the thing we got. remember is I need to be able to move. otherwise why the hell would I come back. you know like I need to be able to to. play from under Center and get to an.

outside Zone hand off and get to a. keeper and be able to move in the pocket. otherwise I'm not doing ourselves our. team myself my career any you know any. favor so I need to be able to move and. so a lot needs to happen before that I'm. not even jogging yet I'm just taking. some nice dropbacks. um so A lot's got to happen I think that. now that the walking has really. normalized and I'm able to walk you know. pretty normal uh pretty standard uh that.

I think things can progress you know to. into jogging and moving but listen today. is what today is Tuesday October 31st. it's Halloween happy Halloween you look. cool hey thank you it's seven weeks and. a day since the surgery or sorry since. the injury tomorrow will be seven weeks. since the surgery so we're we're had a. schedule um but we still got a long way. to go Darius has a question for it yeah. speaking about that schedule I know the. last few times you've been on here. you've saying uh you want to stress.

stress the Achilles but not stretch it. and now with dropbacks and now you say. you're walking normal as well are you at. the point now where you can stretch the. Achilles yeah DB this is an important. time of the recovery of the tendon 6 to. 12 weeks is when there's a lot of. healing that goes on I feel like that. window is a little quicker because. usually 6 to 12 weeks is when you. finally get some weight on it and most. people are just kind of coming out of a. boot 6 to 8 weeks and definitely not in. the shoe once you get into the.

shoe uh you're getting you know more. obviously more movement there the tissue. uh fibers the muscle fibers are starting. to turn on more there's obviously more. blood flow going there because I was in. a shoe within a couple weeks um we've. accelerated that process significantly. um we've been very very careful with uh. not trying to um mess this thing up and. so we have kept a a real Keen Eye weekly. on the uh not just the strength of the.

tissue in my calf but the actual. structural Integrity of that so we've. been checking on that um weekly uh so. that we're not uh stretching that thing. out and some of that is just looking um. at how it's uh kind of laye uh in when. you're in a prone position and just kind. of and your legs are up just making. making sure that we haven't uh stretched. that thing out too far and the other. part is actually you know doing some um. some ultrasound stuff to to make sure. that uh the Integrity of that is staying.

in place there is blood flow there. there's no tearing or M micro tearing of. the uh the uh the injury spot where the. rupture was where the sutures are. everything looks normal so we're being. really really smart with this obviously. we're pushing it as well but my schedule. has been acceler accelerated because. like I said six to eight weeks a lot of. people just getting out of a boot and I. was I was there you know a couple weeks. so yeah you're certainly accelerating.

the entire process we're all watching it. whenever you talk about the angle of. your foot are we keeping that thing at. 90 is that the goal right now we an OB. angle there you know what I mean we get. a little bit bigger what is the are we. is that the goal right now is just to. keep that thing locked up or how is it. it's to keep it at an obtuse angle so we. got to be above 90 right now that's. that's making sure that it's as safe as. possible we got to be really careful. with um the um the planter flexion and. uh you know building up all the muscles.

around uh around it and starting to to. work in some cardio oh what are we doing. upper body this yeah what are you. doing yeah a lot of Versa climber uh. total gy Chuck Norris Bam um okay A. little bit of you know. Taio dance dance Dan. Revolution TDR have you ever seen the. there's that one video of somebody just. absolutely crushing it you got you got. to use that back banister that's what.

you got to use to kind of balance your. feet I think is what you have to do I'm. not an expert but I think I've seen one. can you walk on the. beach no that's uh that's not very smart. um when could you though that's great. rehab though will you be able to walk on. the beach before you you play again is. that the final test oh well again we got. to get to 90 first but when not we don't. need to get to 990 today slow down. rehab walking on the beach is. unbelievable rehab for your feet ankles. all of it it's romantic I understand it. also it also puts you in planter flexion. past 90 degrees so we're not ID okay. yeah that's why you have scissors for. hands and not uh you know utensils for. medicine you're not a doctor yeah. scalpel there it is you idiot um you. don't you don't understand. science you do though heard that right. hey big science you're we're big science. show huge big S nobody talks about that.

yesterday Ganon came out and said n it's. going to be ter Kyler are going to be. starting and everybody's like what what. happened literally just the other day. you said and this is what he actually. said Josh will start but then what's. what changed between last yeah just. watching the tape again talking with the. staff um feel like this gives us the. best chance to win yeah wash the tape. again the guy stinks which also could. mean uh he's not going to be on our team. we are actually now in a position with. how great that rocket scientist played. he is now very valuable potentially on.

the trade market he's going to Minnesota. congrats to the Vikings doing that how. do you feel about the trade deadline. AFC South why do you think that is coach. honestly and what is it about your. culture that is so successful so quickly. you know I I I really believe in the. players I really believe that you know. Trent balky myself you know we we've. brought in a group of guys and there was. a group of guys here that that uh uh are.

are high culture guys they High. character guys just great leaders you. know they went out and drafted Trevor. Lawrence a couple years ago the year. before I got here you know so they got. the quarterback piece in place and then. just building around that you know and. and really for me um it's just kind of. taken the things that I've learned. through my professional career as a. player learning from guys like Mike. holgren and uh Don schula and Andy Reid. and all the head coaches that I had you. know uh in my career and then obviously. uh Translating that over now into into. as a head coach and just getting these.

guys to kind of buy into that and you. know I I do believe that too you when. you when you win in this league it comes. with a level of respect and these these. players have really bought into that and. listen they're they're they they trust. each other um and and really really. playing really well right now yeah I'd. say what a win in Pittsburgh this past. weekend go ahead AJ coach what's it like. uh coaching Trevor Lawrence the guy. seems like he is incredibly mature. Beyond his years as they say sometimes. he seems like you can't he's like. unflappable he has all those all those.

things you want in your franchise QB how. have you kind of seen him grow as well. through your time there yeah you know AJ. I mean this guy he he's the real deal um. you know and the thing is he's. continuing to get better and and each. each game he just takes another step uh. closer in the direction that we want to. go and really in his sort of his uh uh. progression as a quarterback and and. being one of the elite you know. quarterbacks in this league and you know. he's just he's a sponge he he he wants. to learn he wants to get better he wants. to be coached which uh which is really.

sometimes can be rare uh in this in this. day and age but he definitely wants to. be pushed hard and challenged and and uh. he he's really opened up second year. with us you know as a staff and in our. system um just just a great great leader. you know and and really I'll tell you. this too I mean I mean going out and. getting guys like you know Z Jones and. and Christian Kirk Evan Ingram a year. ago you go get Calvin Ridley this year. you know and you you just put pieces. around him he he's done a nice job of. getting all those guys involved in our.

offense let's talk about those pieces. around Trevor the Christian Kirk signing. was one that kind of reset the entire. wide receiver market and a lot of people. were saying well Jacksonville did he's. been awesome with Trevor Lawrence what. is it about him and the guys that you've. brought in that make your offense and. the offense around Trevor kind of click. and who are you looking for to join your. team is there certain types of guys that. you want on your roster well obviously. you want talented guys right guys that. can fit and guys that can fit into your. culture and so when we looked last year.

a year ago in the free agent market and. and Christian Kirk was available he he's. somebody that I really enjoyed watching. coming out of college at Texas A&M and. and thought that his his college tape. was was really good of course I was in. Philadelphia at the time but um getting. guys like him here who uh his work ethic. during the week if you ever came and. watched a week of practice and how hard. he goes in practice is there's no you. know there's no hesitation why why he. and he and Trevor are on the same page.

because they they work extremely hard. together and those are the type of guys. you want Z Jones did the same thing. Calvin Ridley does the same thing Evan. does the same thing it's just the way. they work together and they're High. character guys they're they're they're. the they're the unselfish athlete all. they want to do is win put in the time. put in the effort. and uh is paying off for you know for. our offense and for our team right now. you retiring anytime. soon no. everything you're saying right now. coach you know sounds like long long.

decade decade and a half for the. Indianapolis Colts two three de you know. what I mean I mean that is not that's. not fantastic news hey hey Pat listen I. I got to say this though I do really. appreciate the shout out previous to the. week one game that was a great shout out. in the stadium down there Lucas Oil that. was awesome hey Trevor banging banging. that Anvil boom and then. what yeah well yeah yeah yeah yeah I. felted it yeah yeah exactly but it was.

listen if I didn't have respect for you. I wasn't going to say your name but. honestly from watching you like that. Philadelphia Eagles team you need to. know this as a fan watching from outside. in I saw a video from team meeting night. before NFC Championship game and Meek. Mill Dreams and Nightmares was playing. in there in everybody in the room. 75-year-old white offensive line coach. was Hold Up Wait A Minute whole team was. like vibing like the way you've been. able to build your teams to come. together and be as tight as they are is.

not normal so I've always been a massive. fan with that being said when I say your. name during the thing like don't be. scared to lose that game you know it. gives me a little bit more credibility. around these parts but we're all master. fans of yours coach honestly well thank. you thank you you know and I I I'll tell. you this when you when you Empower your. players and and it doesn't always have. to fall on my shoulders you empower the. players to be great and let them kind of. control the football team you know it's. their team right and and let them go. play we just have to steer the ship let.

them go and and that's what they did. back in Philly in 17 we lost a lot of. good players we lost Darren sprouls that. year we lost you know Jason Peters that. year um you know we lost some really. good Chris Maro for the year we lost our. starting quarterback for the year you. know but it was a matter of just. empowering the team much like here in. Jacksonville letting the guys take over. and that's really what carries you. through the hard times and and really. that's carried carried us through the. Super Bowl that year massive respect for. that Darius has a question for you uh. speaking of empowering players I got a.

chance to listen to to Trevor Lawrence. kind of miked up against our coachs talk. talking through the offense really. taking ownership of the offense heard. him kind of call out that uh Christian. Kirk touchdown on the slot fade but uh. also empowering coaches obviously from a. head coaching position you got OC press. Taylor calling the plays and not. yourself as an offensive head coach what. went into that decision and do you feel. like it helps you I guess manage the. game otherwise um when you're not. calling. plays yeah you know that's a great. question I've been asked that a lot. especially early in the season and and.

you know obviously it's not an easy. decision to come to it takes a lot of. soul searching and a lot of thought that. has to go into that because I do enjoy I. do enjoy you know calling plays and and. it keeps you involved in the game but I. I just felt like that you know I my best. uh as far as a leader as far as the head. coach being able to control the football. game and manage the game and do. different things spend time on defense. spend time special teams managing all of. that has been a lot better for me uh I. see the game uh differently I see it.

more clear probably uh than when you're. kind of focused and and locked in to. calling plays all the time and and. listen press and I have been together. for seven years you know all the way. back to our days you know in. Philadelphia when he was a quality. control coach for me so I got a lot of. trust and in him and and how he puts. game plans together and. and he's done an outstanding job you. know for us this year in the first eight. games and so it was that decision right. there made it easy you know for me to. turn it over to press okay let's talk. about the first couple weeks where it. maybe doesn't look as good as we all.

kind of expected was there any doubt or. thought there as it was happening or did. you have faith you know I continue to. have faith but you know obviously you're. going to get asked the question about. every single call right because we we. weren't playing very well the Kansas. City game the Houston game was just a. mess and and uh you know you get a lot. of questions about that but look you. know I trusted the players I trusted my. coaches and said listen if we're going. to do this thing we're going to we're. going to go in all you know we're diving. in we're going all the way with this. thing so um continued to have faith. continue to have trust and in press and. and and slowly but surely we worked.

ourselves I think the best thing for our. football team was to get into Europe get. over to London for 10 days and really. kind of bond and get close stay in the. hotel travel do all that stuff and and. that kind of that kind of gave us a. little bit of that galvanizing uh. feeling back here in Jacksonville it's. like a bowl game kind of get like a time. away from everything eliminate all the. distractions need to be with each other. because you're in the same place that. could be a beautiful thing a lot of. people say it's bad to go to London. feels like you guys have really been. able to take advantage of it happy that. has happened for your team speaking of. your team as we've been live here you.

just got a new Guard from Minnesota. congratulations to the Jacksonville. Jaguars who just made a trade for Ezra. Cleveland from the Minnesota Vikings who. have got a quarterback today and now. shipped a guard out of town uh obviously. you knew this was going to happen you're. Peterson you're the head coach of the. Jacksonville Jaguars but how's it feel. to be on a team that's like buyers at. the trade deadline as potentially. sellers that's just expectations I guess. these days well I think that is. expectations and and you know obviously. getting a good player to come in here.

and help us and and we've already got a. a good offensive line and and and ezro. can come in and give us some really good. depth and and uh it's just a matter of. getting him caught up and and get him in. getting getting him in the room you know. with a with a really good offensive line. guys like Brandon Sheriff I mean he he's. the leader in there and Luke forner and. you know I mean you look at these guys. cam Robinson I mean Walker little these. guys are just busting their tail every. week so getting a guy like Ezra uh his. caliber we got a you know a starting. type uh guard really really solidifies.

you know solidifies our offensive line. and makes us better go ahead AJ coach. your owner is seems awesome Shan Khan we. see him in his yacht doing yoga all over. the place sweet mustache what's it like. working for a guy like him and I I. assume you have a great relationship and. and can you talk on how important that. is as a head coach to have a good. relationship not only GM and everyone. else in the front office but also the. owner like the guy that is kind of. calling shots yeah I mean Shad is. unbelievable uh his family's. unbelievable Tony they're just they're.

just humble people you know when he. bought the team you know 12 years ago I. mean they haven't had a ton of winning. seasons here I think only two winning. seasons last year was the second you. know winning season for him and and you. want to win for guys like that because. he's so humble he gives you every. opportunity to be successful gives you. all the resources that you need you know. to to add add pieces to your coaching. staff add pieces to your football team. and and just uh just a humble humble guy. to be you know successful in the. business world that he is um and and it.

makes it it makes it I don't want to say. easy because you know coaching is not. easy but it makes you want to win for. for a guy like that and and uh that's. the feeling here in Jacksonville um you. know with Mr Khan and and just he he's. so happy and elated you know viously. right now and where we are as a football. team he hasn't been in this position you. know obviously is an owner in. Jacksonville and um you know you want to. do everything you can uh to make sure. you stay in his position he was trying. to do everything to get that place.

buzzing he couldn't go on the field. obviously but the building up of the. pools and the game day and everything. like I very obvious that he and his. family want it to be successful now it. is whenever Urban got hired there we. heard about maybe a new Jacksonville. city that was being built for the. Jaguars and all the these plans for. everything that's going in obviously the. urban meire era ends you come in is that. stuff still all in the works happening. what is and how much say do you want to. have or have in like what the future of. the Jacksonville Jaguars look like yeah.

you know we're in a brand new building. right here with the Miller Electric. Center it was just finished right before. training camp so we got a brand new you. know football complex two beautiful. fields we got the bleachers 2500 fans at. training camp you know practices every. day just a a fabulous building right. outside. you know EverBank stadium and and um you. know and then of course there are the. plans for the stadium right we we. understand here in Jacksonville the. weather gets nice and hot and September. and October and you know we want to the. next the next really renovation is to is.

to put a put a roof over the top of this. stadium so hell yeah that's all in the. planning phases that's all in the works. right now um the rendering the drawings. have been out and and people have been. able to see it and and I do want to be a. part of that you know and I think I I. was a part of the Miller Electric Center. kind of Designing coaches offices and. different things and and um it just. gives you a feeling and appreciation of. of um you know ownership as we talk. about with players and and you know it's. exciting times right now in Jacksonville. and we got some uh some great years. ahead yeah well let's relax you know.

Colts still got a team true you know. Colt still got a team in the AFC South. but I will say it is an honor to watch. you do your thing and I'm incredibly. happy that the Jacksonville Jaguars are. in the position that they're at now. because of you and good for Trevor man. honest was Trevor the big reason why you. chose the Jag I know there's a lot of. places that wanted it it it was it was. it really was when I had an opportunity. to look at some of the teams that that I. could potentially interview for uh. Jacksonville was the number one spot. because of because of Trevor. Lawrence brand new facility too come.

Blue Angels I did a couple different. rides yeah puked in all of them so I met.

a gentleman named Greg uh who's I think. from Pittsburgh or his family's from. Pittsburgh I know his family I do not. know him though he is a nephew of uh. good friend of my dad Tim he's the one. uh oh I don't know if we Zoom the guy. right next to me that's taller than me. might be the biggest blue angels guy of. all time he's the leader he's he's. flying plane one he's the he's the guy. to the left L2 L2 there that that that. guy NOP from the.

end boom guy on the far left with the. great teeth now he's L2 right there. that's that's guy named Greg he has. family in Pittsburgh that I know so he. asked me to come over and shake his hand. and then immediately got to meet all of. them a lot of college football fans and. NFL fans in the Blue Angels nice a lot. of I think the Boston Connor got. said by three of them come on yeah so. like I think I think there's potentially. some fans in the Blue Angels and. obviously I think they have like uh the. maintenance folks and then the loading.

folks it's like 100 and some people all. together they had some people that are. transitioning in a younger class of blue. angels Pilots over were there wearing. the khaki shorts and they had a couple. thousand people that were watching this. air show as they're flying 200 ft above. the sky. it's insane I'm happy they're on our. side AJ legit yeah they very impressive. like their whole operation is absolutely. crazy and how precise they have to be. with everything like the I'm sure they. talked about a little bit like the. planning they do for every single flight.

is unbelievable yeah and they did this. thing at the end it was like a firework. where I think there was six of them so. two of them went straight up and then. two went this way and then two were. flying sideways at like 75 ft above the. I was going out there leaving a trail. behind it so it looks like a fireworks. showing off it's like shout out to them. and they're all still currently active. those it's like a part of the so they're. still out there don't they do a year or. two stint and then they move on yeah but. I think like the crew that I met was.

going to a base after this Air Show they. just got done doing like I think like 30. shows or something like that and then. they're going to a base they are still. active right now are those planes they. Navy Thunder Air Force Thunderbirds I. did the thundero made that mistake. though BL okay are those happy I didn't. say good or know yeah I kept shut when. you came in on hammer down the other day. I I held up the Air Force jersey for the. Blue Angels and I got a couple messages. said hey Air Force is Thunderbirds Navy.

yeah but we were talking about American. Sky the Marines have that Harrier yeah. the Harrier jet the Harrier jet that. lifts straight up in the air and kind of. goes I got to see one of those on an FB. uh on a on a Runway after the Duke game. I think Duke game day they did a fly. over smaller plane but that thing like. hovers like a helicopter but it's like. real tight it's kind of a little bit. shorter those blue angels planes are. lost are they weapons hot in. case like while they're doing an air. show we get invaded they got missiles on.

her I'd assume that they would be able. to destroy something if they had to I. would assume they also got that fat. going through a slump and you know you. could think of this a little bit now. he's won two national titles right that. the list of coaches who've won two. national titles that are actively. coaching in college football is very. very short um I think I think Pete could. write them out right now on his on his. list and hold them up uh fairly fairly. quickly so nobody's no nobody is through. with that o Sweeny um I do think we're. at a inflection point for some potential. change at Clemson um obviously it's been. long discussed dbos hesitancy to enter.

the transfer portal I believe they've. taken two backup quarterbacks in it. since then obviously he has been um slow. to embrace nil I think might be the. fairest way to uh to say that so um. there are some modernizations that M. have with the Clemson program and I. think will'll also you know they'll also. take a long hard look at that staff. where he is now a decade plus into. Clemson is a place where a lot of the. people who've risen up on that staff. have come up through his system so the. question is are there more outside.

voices needed or is is there more. outside juice needed do you need to. change and evolve more um you know the. previous staffs were Double Downs on. what he'd done and quite frankly he'd. done it better than anybody else so I. really think think that you know four. losses they went like a three-year. stretch from I believe 18 to 20 without. losing four games so there's you know it. will be it would be interesting to see. how Dabo evolves from this because I. think we're at an inflection point for. evolution I didn't hear about 30 to 35.

seconds of your answer because I lost my. ears they fell out of my ass on my whale. there but what it sounds like is dabo's. going to be able to do whatever he wants. down there he seems though to be at a. point where I think a lot of these other. coaches too like we talked to mck Brown. uh whenever he ended his time in Texas. and he said a win was just a relief and. then a loss was like devastating and. that's because the expectations of their. fan base got so damn high and then you. hear about some of these other coaches. that had a lot of success at College. it's like winning a game in September or.

October means absolutely nothing there. isn't even a happiness anymore it's just. like you're expected to go to the. playoff and do this dabo's experiencing. that now in the post lot of success era. that he had this is now what is and. their fans are like I don't want to say. bored with it but hey this season. doesn't start to the playoffs or this. season doesn't start till the ACC. Championship I think that happens in. college football more than any other. sport I personally just from learning. about it over the last couple years. seems to be very real now the three Pat.

was beautiful I'd like to go back to the. Jim Harbaugh situation though because. there's now a contract extension that is. being Fastpass allegedly for Jim. Harbaugh with Michigan and this is. before Michigan knows really what all is. about to be found out uh through this. entire investigation or does Harbaugh. know what's coming down the pipe like. why is this extension happening so. quickly so publicly and what does this. mean about Harbaugh going forward no. matter what the punishment. is I would say this Pat it will be.

Santa Ono and Santa Ono basically took. over the contract talks last year in a.

very public way that you rarely see a. president do that and I think he. realizes that Jim Harbaugh has an asset. to the University of Michigan in a you. know in in a significant way um look. Bill self got a time contract while they. were under NC investigation from the. federal basketball scandal so if there. is a contract given to Jim Harbaugh on. the upcoming weeks to me it would really. be one of the ultimate middle fingers to. the enforcement folks in in Indianapolis. basically saying what the NCA says in.

rules doesn't matter the University of. Michigan is just going to plow on and. doesn't really care about your multiple. investigations that's crazy to think. about honestly because we have no idea. what the punishment's going to be right. we have no clue that's not coming till. after this season right I mean the only. thing you can ever safely say about NCA. punishment pad is that it will be slow. and it's usually a safe guess to say. there will be the NCA enforcement will. be ineffective because they have been. for decades but slow is like 100% if you. can if you can bet on one of our.

gambling Partners about an NCA. investigation going slowly you would you. would have made a lot of money you you'd. have multiple beach houses at this point. if you've done that the last three. decades all we know is this won't be. this won't be resolved quickly the Big. 10 does not appear motivated at this. juncture to do anything they have the. autonomy as we reported last week to do. something they have a new commissioner. were to trade Jaylen that'd be a weird. kind of contradictory it is odd it is. odd and I think if they had their DRS. they would like to keep Jaylen Johnson. but considering he wants to become one. of the higher paid quarterbacks I mean. if you get to 15 million then you're in. that top 10 range for Corners I think he. could command more 16 17 plus and then. you're really talking big dollars and. considering his age and the fact that. you know he really hasn't gotten paid. anything yet it's very clear to me that. he wants out and that Chicago is willing. to acques again with the right price but.
