Trump Drops Bombshell Firing on Press Secretary Katie Zacharia | ITH LIVE
and welcome to a special edition, a live. edition of Inside Trump's Head. I'm. sorry to laugh, but this is a record. even by Trump's own standard. Katie. Zacharia Zachariah. Katie Zachariah. >> You You don't have to learn Don't bother. learning the name now. >> I know. I was really stumbling over her. last name. She is out and in the most.
delicate way I think I've [laughter]. ever seen Trump fire someone who's like. I I think I'd reconsider if I were you. I would rec. >> I would say the background in the. background was less than delicate. >> So I mean Michael, what do you think's. going on here? Well, let's just first. acknowledge that the one person who the. the one happy person at this moment must. be Anthony Scaramucci. His 11day record.
has now been broken. >> And he didn't think it would be. I've. been having a text exchange back and. forth with him and he's like, "No, she's. going to she's going to outlast me." I. don't think so. Not so fast. >> No. No. I I was I thought she was not. going to make it through the weekend. So, >> you you did say that. You did say that. >> So, but uh and she hasn't she didn't. make it through Friday. >> Oh, goodness. And and let let's go back. because this time last week, she hadn't. even been announced in the job as she.
told Shauna Hannity in a in a what turns. out to be a prophetic and sadly fateful. sadly for her fateful interview. Uh she. said it had all been done very last. minute. She'd come in for an interview I. think on Thursday. She'd flown back to. California on the Saturday. She'd flown. back to DC on the Sunday. She wasn't. really briefed, but she'd stepped up to. the plate and done her bit and gone. ahead with the briefing. And of course, the briefing turned out to be.
catastrophic for her. >> Uh uh that you mean the briefing, the. White House briefing? >> Yes. The the briefing that she gave the. press where she answered three. questions. She took I think a total of. three minutes. uh and and she was also. given the you know remarkable bit of. news to tell people that they'd asked uh. Kimberly Gil to resign and she gave a. little sort of smile when she said that. >> Amazing. Let me just give a little. background on what I can surmise more.
than surmise. I know [laughter] happened. with the Sean Hannity interview. So uh. so he was the designated assassin. Take. her down. Oh, interesting. You think he was the. designated assassin? And who was he told. that by? Was that by Susie Wilds? Who? >> Yes, somebody. He was told by the White. House whether who who that came directly. from. Um, but it was and it would have. been couch go tough on her.
>> Okay. Because. >> and if she survives I, you know, that. was the kind of thing. If she survives, okay, maybe May may maybe she gets. another another crack. But um but we. want to kill this. If this is going. south, we want it to go south today. >> Okay. So So for those who haven't been. paying as much attention as we have, she. comes out and gives her first press. briefing on a Tuesday. It's not very. long. She takes three questions from. Breitbart, from the Daily Mail, and from.
Fox. Uh they then go out because. President Trump is on his way to Alaska. to shore up Dan Sullivan's seat out. there. Uh which has become very tight, not least because there's another Dan. Sullivan running in the same race. against the incumbent Dan Sullivan, but. we can come to that later. Uh and then. they have a sort of impromptu press. conference as the helicopter is worring. and about to take off from the brand new. helipad. And.
she is asked or Donald Trump is asked. which state did she pass the bar in? Because Donald Trump's been boasting. she's an attorney. He turns to her. >> Yes. >> And she gives um an answer, a one-word. answer that will um that will [laughter]. be um remembered in the history of the. Trump administration, the two Trump's. administration. And her answer as to. what state she had passed the bar in was.
China. China. China. >> It it it you know, as a as a friend just. texted me sometimes, it's not enough to. be blonde, Michael. It's not enough to. be blonde. Um so she had the look. She'd. been on television. How do you think. they chose her in the first place? Big. shoes to fill from Caroline Levit. the. previous press secretary who'd been with. Trump since the beginning of this second. administration had a second child has an.
older wealthier husband I think had been. sick of Trump shouting at her and. probably wanted to spend more time with. her babies that's what she said and so. >> deep experience in the Trump in the. Trump circle she was with him throughout. the 2024 campaign a lower level I mean. she really had risen up the ladder. proved herself um And I suspect he. wanted someone like her. I mean, so. there was, you know, there was a lot of.
talk of of Scott Jennings of, you know, a Fox guy, um, who might come in. There's a lot of people around the White. House who might have been qualified. n kind of natural for this for this job. What Trump wanted was uh someone a. blonde, someone who looked the part. I. want someone to look the part. doesn't. look the part. Doesn't look the part. Yeah, she looks the part. Get her. And. that's. >> central casting. Central casting.
>> Yes. So, that was that's pretty much the. sub the sum of her vetting. Um that she. had uh that the hair looked right. >> and he thought she was an attorney. Apparently, what we're hearing is that. he was telling people backstage, "Oh, I. thought she was an attorney." He didn't. realize she wasn't an attorney. And. clearly nobody had vetted her. Nobody. had vetted her, Michael. >> And you're you sound surprised.
[laughter]. >> I'm a little surprised. Um but I guess. I'm not surprised. Well, should we be. surprised that she's gone as fast as she. has? >> Uh yeah. Yeah. I mean, even in even in. the Trump world. Um but this was a. calamity. So you you began by saying for. those of you who might not know, everybody knew, everybody has been. following this. This was a live train. wreck. But you know, I think the broader.
implication here is Trump wanting. wanting to do things the way he wants to. do things. Uh it's just I think he. disintermediated. Susie Wilds and any other adults in the. room. I want her blonde. on her. Um, that's what he in in the ideal world, in. the ideal Trump world, nobody else is. making decisions or nobody else is. making decisions about the things that. he wants to make decisions about. So, we.
are going to go in and remember, we're. we're now heading in the midterms are. going to happen and then we're heading. into the final two years. And these. final two years are going to be um a. shitow for a lot of reasons, but not. least of all because Donald Trump wants. to do what Donald Trump wants to do. >> So what does that mean? He hires. someone, he fires them if they do I mean. why does what why doesn't he I mean he's.
got a system here whereby you vet people. so that he doesn't have to go through. what looks like chaos and makes him look. idiotic. I am. Did I just hear you say. system and Donald Trump in the same. sentence? >> I know. Why did I say that? But isn't. the point of having Isn't that the point. of having Susie Wilds though that. everybody says, "Oh, Susie Wilds." The. point of being the president of the. United States is that you can do or the. point about being Donald Trump and the. president of the United States is that. you can do whatever you want to do. And.
and you you know I I am actually. surprised. Trump Trump is willing to tolerate. virtually anything. Um. and but what he is not willing to. tolerate is somebody fumbling around in. front of a camera. So the fact that on. television she was inept is a is fatal.
in the in the Trump universe. >> and yet she had auditioned for the job. by being on television and you know. >> well that's why I mean I'm sure that he. saw Yeah. He saw the he saw the tapes. He saw her on television. I like the way. she looks on stuff. She's good. Look at. that. She's good. So, does this mean that Scott Jennings I. mean, someone just posted a very very. funny comment saying that uh Scott. Jennings is out busy buying a blonde. wig. Someone else just posted saying,
"Oh, I wish that she'd survived through. Halloween." I think the implication. being they were going to dress up as her. uh for Halloween, which is kind of a fun. one. Um I guess everybody will be. there'll be a run on blonde. You are you. are you are you asking if it's going to. be Scott Jennings who you have been. promoting for. >> I haven't been promoting him. I just. heard that uh that Scott was very much. in the market for the job and we've all. seen his his makeover on television.
He's lost a lot of weight. No. >> And he's grown. >> He's not going to be the press. secretary. Who who do we think is going. to be? I mean, as the poor press. secretaries themselves always have to. say, and at least Caroline and Katie. both said, "Oh, he doesn't need a press. secretary. There is no better press. secretary than Donald Trump. No one. communicates Donald better than Donald.". Does he actually want a press secretary? Is this perhaps now an outdated job? >> Well, well, yeah. No, no. I mean, I. mean, it's a functional job. I mean, you.
need somebody to go out there on a. rather constant basis. I mean it's a. really it's a really tiring job and to. absorb a lot of incoming from a lot of. reporters. Um so um and Trump has always. it's not an important job. That's why. Trump has always wanted someone to look. the part. >> That person represents the Trump. administration. He wants it to be seen. that the Trump administration is an. administration of um blondes of of.
[laughter]. I don't know. >> an administration of blondes. That's. brilliant. And of course he gets well he. gets blonder he gets grayer he gets. redder. Who knows what he's doing but. [clears throat] administration of blond. >> Yes. Hair is very important. What's the. most important thing to Donald Trump? >> Oh. >> hair is certainly up there. >> Hair is up there. We've just flashed up. my favorite picture of the week, which. the two of us dissected in Thursday's. Inside Trump's Head. This is Natalie.
Harp on the right. As we look at the. picture, uh, with Katie Zachariah, uh, on the left, Trump himself, and I think. this is a Doug Mills picture from the. New York Times. They're actually two. very similar pictures. Uh, one was by. Doug Mills. This one came out on Getty, I think. But um let's just talk about. this picture for a moment. >> What do you see, Michael, when you look. at this picture? >> Blondes. I mean, that's what this is about. He. likes to be surrounded by by women,
young women. >> You know, I we've we've often discussed. during his trials, his four criminal. indictments during the campaign, and he. would brag. I mean, he would um was. clearly very proud of this to say, "My. legal team may not be the smartest, but. it's the hottest." Um referring to Alina. Haba and uh what's the name of Lindy.
Hagan? >> Lindsay. Yes. Yes. >> Lindsey Hagan, who he then tried to put. into. James Comey, I think that's right. and. she was she was removed because she was. illegally put into the the prosecutor. role. Right. >> Right. >> Or was she put in as US attorney or they. tried to put her in as US attorney? >> So Alina Haba is and we can talk about. the people we ought to talk who have.
campaigned for this job, the press. secretary job, including Alina Haba. >> Would she be good? Would she be better. than Katie Zachariah? Would she perhaps. last half of Zachariah? We have a new. time unit now as Zachariah. >> No. Yeah, I think I think she uh she. might. Although during the campaign um. um Trump would was constantly dressing. down Alina Haba for as he said your.
truck driver mouth and also the fact. that she was she was uh she liked the. cocktail. She likes a cocktail. I mean, what what. does Katie Zachariah do now before we. come on to the people who are going to. fulfill her? >> I don't know what what what was she. doing before? I don't know. Well, there. are very funny supercuts all over X, formerly known as Twitter, of her.
saying, "As a lawyer, as a lawyer, as a. lawyer, as a lawyer, >> well, I guess I guess she could study. for the bar exam. >> She could study for the Wouldn't that be. the best possible revenge for Katie. Zachariah that she studies and passes. the bar?". >> Well, she could study and fail again, too, of course. Like, >> well, she wouldn't be the first person. to fail twice at the bar. Didn't John. Junior do that? John Kennedy Jr. failed. at the bar, didn't he? Twice. I. >> think he passed on the third time.
>> Yeah. No. No. I mean, many people have. failed the bar exam, >> right? >> Hillary Hillary Clinton. I believe. >> Hillary Clinton failed the bar exam. >> I find that hard to believe. I find that. incredibly hard to believe that has ever. failed an exam. >> Can we check this? Would someone like to. check this? I hope. >> Yes. Can someone check it and then uh. post us? Someone can can. >> n I see Kaitlyn is saying she did.
>> she did fail the bar exam. That's in my. mind that has been but that's a fact. that I collect facts that. >> that are. >> that is not disconnected from every. you're you're seeing the comments. I'm. not seeing the comments. If. >> if Benji who's running this can figure. out how I can see the comments at the. same time. Yes, someone else is spot. Hillary Clinton failed her first bar. attempt. >> There you go.
Uh, so le let's just talk about this. Hannity interview. You say that he was. instructed to basically put the knife. in. Susie Wilds wasn't a part of Katie. Zachariah in terms of her being. appointed to the job. Did Susie call Hannity? >> It wouldn't matter who who called. It's. this is this is that would have come. directly from the White House. whether. it came from Susie, Steven Chung, somebody else who um uh who Hannity is.
talking to. And remember, Hannity talks. to many people in the White House. It is. perfectly possible, perfectly possible. that it came directly from Donald Trump. to Shan Hannity. >> So, play that conversation out for me a. little bit. What would it sound like? >> Go tough on her. See if she can take it. We got to we we we have to move on this. We have to resolve this. >> Was her other mistake that she became.
the story? I mean, we know that Donald. Trump doesn't like people who make money. off his presidency and he doesn't like. it when people get more attention. >> Yeah. No, no. This was a disaster. I. mean, this had to happen. I mean, that's. why the Sean Hannity thing was was uh. was useful. Could she use that? Could. she stand up to Hannity? Could she. change the subject? Could she show that. she was another side of her that that. was not evident when she did the press.
conference? So, do it. It's on you. See. if you can do it. Um, and she couldn't. Actually, she made it things worse. And. so, she's gone. She's gone. She's evaporated. And all. credit to her. She has four kids and she. thought she could do the job with four. kids. and she seemed anxious about uh. being at home for supper. She said she. wanted to be at home for supper with her. children. That that was a. non-negotiable. I wasn't quite sure how. she was going to do that even in the.
runup to. >> um now she won't have that problem at. least. >> Yeah. No, I I mean I feel some sympathy. for for her. She got drafted into this. and opportunity. This was like, you. know, opportunity knocks once. and she and she felt she had to take it. But she was uh obviously unready, unprepared, um caught off guard. Um and. then had to had to be in one of the.
most, you know, one of the jobs with the. highest public exposure, most vulner. vulnerability you can ever have. be able to jump on live and respond to. something in real time. And this is the.
most uh well both unexpected and perhaps. inevitable story that Katy Zachariah. would last less than a week after her. >> But again, let let's go. It is on Donald. Trump, [clears throat]. >> you know. I I mean, you know, they've. been they're pretty good in this in this. White House about picking picking the. kind of spokespeople. that um that Trump that Trump likes that.
work with him that can defend the. indefensible, let's say. Mhm. >> And um and well and and actually let me. let me rethink that because there have. been notable instances like Sean Spicer, the first press secretary, that didn't. work out so well. But there have been. certainly a string of of there have been. very clear models for what is required. of a Trump press secretary. And um and.
uh you know I mean this is again just. that instance of of of of he didn't. think this through. He thought no I like. the way she looks. Let's take her again. the kind of arrogance that comes after, you know, um, from being the president. of the United States and wanting to do. what you want to do and, uh, screw.
everything else. Take her. I can pick. her. I can I have that. I have the power. here. >> I have the power here. Well, it turned. out that the power wasn't much use to. him in the end. And he thought she was. an attorney and and she wasn't. And I. wonder if she should have thought harder. about how to explain. the fact that she wasn't actually an. attorney at law, that she doesn't have. ESQ after her name.
>> I mean, it feels like no one brought. >> Well, that's a hard explanation when you. have been billing yourself as an. attorney. but have not passed the bar, >> right? So, so could she should she have. said, "Yeah, I I mean actually at that. news conference, she should have said, I. went to I graduated from law school. I. haven't passed the bar." But then that. opens the thing. I failed the bar. >> Also, you know, not a good look.
>> Clearly not a good look. But the other. thing, and we we've said this before, she, you know, she doesn't have to be a. lawyer to have this job. So that's a. that's an issue that that had no reason. to come up. >> Well, it's a very good question. As. someone I hear, Jean from the Bronx is. asking, "Are the lawyers in DOJ better. having passed the bar?" Case in point, Todd Blanch, I mean, that's a perfectly.
reasonable question, but I I wonder how. much actually background checks they're. doing in the DJ than the DOJ. >> I have no idea. Um, but I do know that. in order to um to um to argue a case in. court, you have to have passed a bar. Well, interestingly, Katie Zachariah said that she was uh an. a legal analyst. She wasn't a legal she.
wasn't giving legal advice which she. said this on on Hannity uh when he. >> but she's all all of the I mean this is. all wrong because there there's other. instances then where she build herself. as a general counsel a general counsel I. mean this is all an issue of of of. baloney nomenclature. um I said I was a lawyer but not an. attorney although there are instances of. her claiming that that that too as So. there's a distinction between lawyer and.
attorney. There is not in English. anyway. Um and the idea of a general. counsel, the general counsel is is the. lawyer who represents a corporation. So. she just got Yeah, she got hung on a uh. I mean she was obviously. engaged in some minor misrepresentations. of herself which then came to bite her. in the ass. So, does she head off to Fox News now? Would Fox News hire her at this point?
>> No, I don't I I don't think so. I mean, I think but you know, I mean, let's not. feel so sorry for her. She will um she. will be forgotten in days. Um and the. Katie Zachariah um um episode will be. not hardly even a footnote. And as. footnotes go, I mean, Anthony Scaramucci. has done pretty well um after his 11.
days. So that would say that um I think. that Katie Zachariah would can go into. the podcast business. Well, certainly. Anthony Scaramucci has given her a very. good um blueprint for what to do, which. is you have to lean into it. You have to. laugh about it. You have to draw. attention to it and own it as opposed to. pretending that it's someone else's. fault. >> Took Anthony quite a while to laugh. about it. >> Yeah, did it? >> Oh, it did. >> It did. Well, he can certainly laugh.
about it now. And he's turned it to his. advantage. He also had of course a. period I mean during the Biden years. when it wasn't really relevant but it's. become more relevant now. >> now but the other the other issue. Anthony Scaramucci thing is that he. turned against Trump what is what. rescued Anthony Scaramucci becoming a. Trump enemy. So that would be the. message for Katie Zachariah. >> Okay. So Katie Sachariah might have some. competition for that because another.
scalp this week was that of of course. Kimberly Gilfoil. um who as we know has apparently a lot. of information about the Trumps having. been engaged to Donald Trump Jr. for. many many years. >> the bosom of the Trump family. >> in the bosom of the Trump family. And of. course they've. >> or she kind of was the bosom of the. Trump family. >> Yeah, she was everybody's bosom. actually. I mean I interviewed Eric Deas.
uh the man who she asked to quickly uh. wire her $100,000 to uh pay off her AMX. bell as she was he seemed seems like a. real scumbag. Did he see seem like that. in person? >> Well, he what I will say is he was full. of energy in person. I mean, it was as. if he drunk. It was like talking to. someone who'd had five Red Bulls. He was. on fire, but he's also a a radio host in. Kentucky, so he's used to sort of high.
energy and and yelling at at the camera. But he did describe one incident where. he has the the how he gets to know. Kimberly Gilfoil is he goes to a. speakers bureau to book MAGA speakers. for his freedom fest which is a festival. he's doing I think in some fields in um. in Kentucky during COVID to sort of say. let's get back out there let's socialize. again. Uh and he books Kimberly and he.
also has Don Jr. coming. Don Jr. commands $200,000. Uh Kimberly gets paid $300,000, but. that's for doing three speeches, so. $100,000 each. But he says that when. they arrive, uh they come from separate. airports. He picks up Kimbley and then. they have to drive very, very fast to. pick up Don Jr. and they bounce down a. kind of grass verge because he's missed. the turning to the airport that Don. Junior is coming in at. And she shouts. at him, "You're my Jason Staithm. my.
breast implants are going to explode if. we carry on like this, which I thought. was a was a a great detail that I hadn't. heard before. But he was uh, you know, she didn't deliver him the. information that he'd wanted or the. connections that he'd wanted. Uh, and. now he's claiming that he's going to sue. her because she's claiming that the the. texts that he provided the Wall Street. Journal, who broke the story, were in.
fact AI. He's saying they weren't AI. They're true. Especially the one that. said, "If you carry on like this, you. are going to cost me my ambassadorship.". Uh, which turned out to be a precient uh. text indeed. Well, and I can guarantee we certainly. have not heard the last of Kimberly. Gilfoil. We may have had heard the last. of of Katie Zachariah, but not Kimberly. Gillet. >> So, what does Kimberly do now, Michael?
>> Well, I don't we're we're we're waiting. to see. She turns against Trump. possibly. Uh maybe she will take follow. the Anthony Scaramucci model or she's. negotiating. That's what she's doing. right now, right as we speak. She is. negotiating with the White House on some. some favorable or at least more. favorable outcome for herself. >> They may not get it. >> What if they were to offer her the press.
secretary? >> You know, I think even this White House. could not do that. But I will tell you. that she is one person who has. campaigned for that job specifically. Mhm. Oddly, if they hadn't sent her to. Greece, it's a job she might have been. quite good at. I mean, she's not blonde, though. I'm sure she would go blonde, and I think she used to be blonde. >> Um, well, the problem the problem, of. course, was that she is was the jilted.
uh fiance of the president's son. That. was a little bit of an impediment. >> Oh, that would be that would be tricky. >> But she also tried to get this job. during the um uh during the first. administration. She c was campaigning to. replace Scott Spicer. >> Oh, interestingly. So, she's Sean. Spicer. Sean Spicer. >> So, she's Sean Scott. None of it. matters. He went on Dancing with the. Stars. I think I'm just looking here. I. don't know if you can see this, but it's. actually a rather funny uh tweet put out.
by Gavin Newsome's office in memoriam. to Friday. We should point out that uh. Gavin Newsome was the former Mr. Kimberly Gilfoil. >> The former Mr. Kimberly Gilfoil. And she. told a friend of mine when she moved to. New York when the friend asked why she'd. left Gavin because they seemed to be a. power couple on the West Coast. Uh the. marriage wasn't big enough for two egos. So, she sort of acknowledged her own.
ego. And I I do think I think it was in. Thursday's episode of Inside Trump's. Head, you gave a very good analysis of. her as as beyond the Becky Sharp. character that she really is um or. perhaps it was in your Substack. actually, a beautifully written Substack. about her being this novelistic. character who really has no soul and is. just climbing from one, as it turns out, man to another. And you not. I would not make this a thing about.
about women. This is this would. characterize the soullessness and the. climbing and the uh the desperate effort. to to get what you can get during this. Trump opportunity characterizes. virtually everyone in the Trump. administration. >> Right. So let's just have a look at some. comments we've got in here. Who needs. nuclear weapons when you have Kimberly? That's from Jean from the Bronx. Uh,
I've just managed to access our our. comments. Um, Annie Boravigator. is saying, "Is this an October surprise? Is this the October surprise?" Um, some. >> Well, just just the it is it is it is an. October surprise, but it's certainly not. helpful again. And and it's it's I mean. we ought to we ought to uh nod here to. the again again to the midterms. This is.
not a good look for Donald Trump. I mean. arguably very little is a good look for. Donald Trump, but this is but [laughter]. this is this is a pretty pretty public. bad look. >> Oh dear. Well, thank goodness Katie. Zachariah's got her children to go back. to. There's something very leveling. about walking into a house or an. apartment of children and she won't have. to move now cuz she was talking about. moving her whole family. She said that. her husband had come with her for the. week. Uh and they will return to.
California and all that time with the. realtor, Mr. Zachariah. Um you don't. have to worry about making a choice. between, you know, Chvy Chase or. Alexandria or Georgetown. You're going. back to California. You're going back to. California. Um, someone here asking, do. we even know what exactly she did in the. law firm in China? >> Uh, well, I think the Chinese the law. firm has implied that she was an intern.
>> I think she was giving legal legal. analysis. Michael, it sounds like she. was an intern or maybe. >> I think they were they were they were. pretty clear that that was that she was. not giving legal analysis that she did. not have a she was not offering um legal. counsel at any level and to anyone you. know she's I you know I mean I do again. I I feel I do feel something something. for her. she got in, you [snorts] know,
whatever she whatever needle she was. trying to thread about being a lawyer, not being a lawyer, needing a job. Uh, you know, you know, a lot of people go. to law school and think, Jesus, that was. a terrible experience and and you know, I don't really want to be a lawyer. But. then you need a job and you're kind of. caught in this and then uh uh you're. you're picked out of you're randomly. picked out of nowhere to be the um uh to. be the the White House press secretary.
and um all that you've kind of fudged. and been imprecise about and kind of. lied about um you know what just one. more resume lie. Um, and your the light. shines on you. Well, alas. >> Yeah. And she's 41. She's 41, so she's. gotten used to fudging it and no one. calling her on it presumably. I mean,
she did, the way she presents herself on. television, she did talk about, you. know, that she would oversee these, you. know, billion dollar global contracts, which is quite a lot of responsibility. for an intern. Now, someone here is saying it was cruel. of Trump to pick her in the first place, which is really your point, I think. Now, how about getting rid of Hexth? >> How about it? >> Yeah. No, I mean, that's the other. thing. I mean, it really is compared to. the other people, she is hardly um.
hardly the first person you would pick. to uh um to toss out. Is there a single man that Donald Trump. has tossed out yet? All the cabinet. members that he's fired have been women. >> Yeah. Well, let's think. I mean, Rick. Grenell kind of got the boo. Um, >> he was running he was a former. ambassador to Germany in the first. administration running the Lincoln. Center this time round.
>> That was called the Kennedy Center. But, >> oh, sorry. Sorry. Can't believe I said. that. I'm so New York centric. So New. York centric. Yes, the Kennedy Center. The Kennedy Center. You see, I've. already erased it from my mind. >> Well, you might as well. [laughter]. Yes. >> Like Katie Zakaria, Zacharia, it's on. its way out. Yeah. Sorry. The the. Kennedy Center. >> Um, so I'm on the um I'm just trying to. think who else has what other men.
>> Christine went uh Lorie Chavez. Rumor. went or rumor Chavez went the labour. secretary um. Pam Bondi went I can't I don't think a. single male cabinet minister has gone. and goodness knows there are candidates. for it. >> secretaries um yeah no I and I should. the the more important point there are. candidates every single one of them.
practically. >> every single one of them. Okay. Uh. [snorts]. how much here's someone asking Donna. Bolt is asking how much actual strategic. planning can he do with that demented. brain? >> Well, as I have tried to. say and illustrate and argue over many. many many years, the answer is none. No.
strategic planning. >> Right. Someone here is saying, joking. I heard. Gavin may have a position in his. presidential run. Kim could work for. him. >> Yeah. Why do I think that's not going to. happen? >> Do you think she becomes an issue for. him if he does run for president, which. he appears to be doing? >> Yeah. I mean, I I I'm going to make it. an issue. >> You're going to make it. >> I mean I I mean I can't even begin to.
explain that. How does this how does. Gavin Newsome marry uh Kimberly Gilfoil? I mean that is a mist. just oh there there is some inexplicable. judgment there. >> Youth what about youth? >> Youth well you know these these days we. get hoisted for the decisions we make as. uh young people. >> We do. We do. That's that's fair.
actually. Okay. So, Gilfoil, Zachary, and Zampoli all in one week. Margaret. Rowane is saying Trump chaos is. ratcheting up as the midterms close in. >> I think that's I couldn't agree more. And by the way, that would be Thank. Thank you, Margaret. Um, uh, that's. another guy. There's a guy, Zoli. >> Did Zampoli lose his job? [laughter]. >> Of course. >> Oh, I missed that. I missed that. Zoli.
lost his job. >> Yes. >> Okay. As ambassador for what was he. ambassador for? Every every word. ambassador at large. >> I mean he had no job job. It was easy to. fire him because he really didn't do. anything. He wasn't even supposed to do. it. He had no function. But he had a. title. >> And he got fired for allegations of. sexual abuse. Right. >> Uh uh no. That's not I don't think that. that is um that's not clear if it's the.
case. >> Oh, I thought that's. >> I thought. >> he's just out. >> He's out. >> And he wasn't even I don't even think. they've announced he's just leaving. >> He's leaving, but there [clears throat]. were accusations. >> There were accusations of sexual assault. against him brought I think at the. beginning of this week. And he is of. course the man that Melania writes about. in her book as having introduced her to. Donald Trump. >> I mean I think yeah I mean his larger. problem is that he seems to have.
arranged the deportation of the mother. of his of his child. >> So that's a good look. [laughter]. >> Oh my goodness. Well, um, we've got here. Anthony Scaramucci saying, "Records are. made to be broken, but I take no. pleasure in other people's pain." And. then Joe Scarra saying, "Mooch, we. hardly knew you.". >> Um, I bet he took takes a little.
pleasure. >> Well, I don't think we're taking. pleasure in her pain, are we? taking. some element of amusement at the chaos. of it all and the predictability of it. all and the inevitability of it all and. the understanding that this is why you. have systems. This is actually why you. do background checks so that this. doesn't happen to you and to the. country. >> Well, we always like a little. humiliation of someone else.
[laughter]. >> Michael Wolf, we will be back with. Inside Trump's Head tomorrow. thrilling. to jump on with you live. Uh I I will. say the tech wasn't 100%. um 100% at my end. I don't know how it. was for you. >> My end. Perfect. Smooth. >> Good. Well, that's cuz you're living in. the Hamptons and you have no problems. here in the city. It's over complicated. and I couldn't quite see enough of the. uh of the com comments. Um. >> yeah, I've actually I the comments had.
started here but then they stopped. Go. figure. Who knows? Who knows? Michael. will be back at uh well, we'll be back. at uh we'll be back [laughter] at it. tomorrow. We'll be back for another. episode. >> almost immediately. We'll be back. >> It's basically 24/7 at this point. I. mean, there is an amazingly there is an. Inside Trump's Head 247 channel which. gets more viewers frequently than Trump. TV. I have been tracking it. Uh but at. this point, it feels like we're always.
talking. Well, and and I think, you. know, as this as we go into I mean, it's. almost impossible to to imagine that. things could become more intense and. more chaotic um than they have been, but. these final two years are going to be um. something. >> Do you think he needs a press secretary. before the midterms? Will he need one. to, you know, announce some of the. results? >> No. [laughter].
No. I mean, there there are people there. are actually people in the press office. who who are there who can fill in who. are who are good. They're just not as. blonde as as he might like. So, uh so I. I don't I don't know. Will they I mean. there's two things. Will they rush to uh. to select someone uh new so we can put. the Katie Zachariah episode behi be. behind us behind them? uh or will they. think, "Hey, we we should we should. maybe take some time here and and and.
vet somebody.". >> You you you predicted when we spoke on. Thursday that um you thought a lot of. people had probably turned the job down. >> Absolutely. Yes. I mean, it's, you know, I mean, for all. kinds of reasons. So, because to be uh. to be so identified with with Donald. Trump um is um. you know, I mean I mean I think at this.
point people are thinking twice about. this. Also, we're going into the midterm. elections. I mean, they could be and. more and more likely will be devastated. There's a lot of reasons to turn down. this job unless you're a you're a a a. woman, a blonde who wants to uh wants. entree to Fox News. >> Mhm. Well, I wonder what uh Sean Hannity is. thinking right now. Is he thinking that.
he's more powerful than. >> He's thinking I did my job. You owe me. White House Donald Trump, you owe me. Michael Wolf, you owe our viewers more. time tomorrow. We'll be back at 2 PM on.
