A Fan Pitches Conan, Sona, & Gourley Themed Amusement Park Rides | Conan O'Brien Needs A Fan
I have a question. What's your favorite. uh theme park? >> I do have to say Disneyland, but I grew. up in Singapore and when I was a little. girl, I went to this very unusual. amusement park called Haar Villa and. it's not a place that people would know. about, but it's all about um you know, Chinese myths and like um legends and. all this. And they would carve these. like fullsize sculptures and diaramas of. what would they they would do to you if.
you end up going to hell. >> Wow. [laughter]. >> Yeah. >> This sounds this sounds I have to see. this. >> Don't go high and don't get high. [laughter] and go there. >> Yeah. It used to have a boat ride to go. to go through all these scenes of hell. and you would literally see the devils. like gutting you and pulling out your. guts. >> Oh my god. It's like the anti small. world. It [laughter] is. It is. >> It is. >> I never thought about it that way, but. it's true. >> It's the inverse of It's a Small World. It's not optimistic. It's not cheerful.
>> Yeah. >> Um. >> It's a cautionary tale. >> It's a cautionary tale of what could. happen to you if you lie and cheat. >> Lo, a world of fear. It's a world of. constant pain in your rear. >> Oh my god. Disney. Yeah. >> Okay. >> Um they don't have our number. We keep. moving. >> I think they have everything. >> You know, uh I feel like I'm starting to. hear about celebrities making theme. parks. Nate Burggatsi was on the podcast.
not long ago and he's going to make. >> um a a theme park. >> that he wants to be very familyfriendly. and fun and I think it's going to be in. Tennessee. >> in uh outside Nashville. >> And it sounded like a great idea. He's. taking it very seriously and he was. telling us he's meeting with some people. at Disney to get advice. Um, and so this. is becoming a thing is celebrities. having Dollywood. Yeah, that's been. around for a while. Do you see this as a.
new trend? >> It's not necessarily a trend. I mean, it's been around for a while. I mean, if. Walt Disney, you know, did it, right? Like, why not anyone else? >> I thought I know where this is going. Conan land. >> So, exactly. So, Conan Land. >> Yeah. >> is a thing. Coco land. However you. >> Well, it sounds like they're already. doing it in Singapore. [laughter]. You get on a boat, you go through every. stage of hell, [laughter]. >> and then you come out and you have a. prominent eye vein. >> For you, it's just weird things. [laughter] like sex talk. That's hell.
for you. Exactly. Not, you know, getting. a B on a test in high school. >> Having a conversation with someone where. you lock eyes. Oh, being complimented. I. was going to say. >> being complimented. If you go through. one part where someone says, "I enjoy. your work." AH, [laughter]. >> WELL, I I think that all of you should. individually have a ride. And I have. ideas, but I want to hear your honest. I. I'll start with Conan. So, I think. Conan's ride is uh a ginger colored.
high-speed roller coaster. >> that goes up and down, twists and turns, completely unexpected. We have to have. And it never ends. [laughter]. And there has to be the string dance. involved in it somehow. So maybe. >> erratically at times. >> Uh it's a very Is it Is it an unsafe. ride? >> It could be. >> Oh, I see what you're saying though. That like the tether clips and then you. fall like Tower of Terror. >> and you fall there's a freef fall and it. could be great.
>> Yeah. >> And so I think that that would be a. really good one for you. As long as when. you get off your skin is dry [laughter]. um. and you're and. you're questioning some of your. decisions in life, [laughter]. that's the only thing I want people to I. don't want them to have that rush of. endorphins when they get off. >> I want them to just sort of feel queasy, dry skin again, prominent eye vein, and. >> [laughter]. >> uh just worried worried about past. choices. Let's move on to Sona. Sona,
what's your what's your ride going to. be? Okay. So, Sona, I'm envisioning like. a lazy river boat [laughter] ride. You. had me at lazy, right? So, so you're. gonna every every visitor who steps in, they get a gummy. >> Yes. They go on the ride, they get a. gummy, and then they're going to have. plush seating on this like gondola type. of ride. And you're going through all of. the scenes, all of your biggest dreams. So everything from like scenes of like.
Magic Mike, you know, just going there. and just like music, beautiful music, and all of your favorite shows, all your. reality shows coming to life around you, right? >> Oh, and there's a bucket of like humus. and chips. No, but you love humus. >> I do. >> You had it yesterday. >> Why do you keep bringing it up? >> Because I just see I picture. >> I was talking about magic mind. No, but. on the And if you're loaded up on. gummies, you're sitting there, there's a. bucket of hummus.
>> and you Doesn't it sound good? >> Yeah, it does sound a really good bread. and you're just hush. It's hush. >> I know. I like I love my ride. Keep. going. >> There's more. >> Well, maybe and and it could be that you. know you exit through a gift shop and. there you could have the hummus and all. of that stuff too and then come back and. come back on the ride, you know. So, it's it's however you want it to be, right? Like, and that's kind of like. your way. I feel like it's like, you. know what? I'm just going to do this.
right now. I'm not going to do that. right now. Right? And maybe every once. once in a while, we'll hear Conan and. the speaker being like, "Sona, sona, I. need this." You know, whatever. But then. you ignore it. You just ignore it. >> Go with the flow. Go with the flow. >> There's an uh sort of robotic cone that. pops out every now and then and starts. to say, "I need your assistance with.". And then you can just push it aside. [laughter] and it goes. >> and melts away, right? >> You have like a little wand and.
[laughter] you can just you can just do. a flick of your wand and. >> I disappear. [laughter]. >> Okay, gory. I got to hear gory. >> This is awesome. >> All right, so gory. I'm thinking it has. to be a dark ride. And when we say dark. ride, it's a fully enclosed indoor uh uh. ride. And I'm thinking like an omni. mover like Haunted Mansion, right? So an. omni mover is constantly flowing, very. smooth. And instead of that um the uh. doom buggy, it'll be like a really plush.
leather upholstered armchair. >> I love this. >> And when you get in, you have a whiskey. or a cocktail in hand. >> Oh my god, [laughter]. this. >> is great. >> And as you go in, it's kind of. midcentury retro. You'll hear vinyl. records, a scratchy sound. your voice gorly in the speakers and. you're taking everyone on this very calm. and smooth journey through a thrilling. ride of what your imagination and your. dreams are too. So maybe it's going.
through a flea market [laughter] and. maybe. >> you you've incepted into her your. version of me. >> Yes, I am. >> But is not. >> everyone's wearing tweed. You get a. tweed jacket as you. >> I love it. I love it. You're just you're. coasting along and you're in like an EMS. chair, like a mid-century chair. That's. right. >> And all the architecture of the ride is. very uh craftsman, right? It's just. Pasadena Craftsman. >> Uh Exactly. >> It's it's it's nice. This is a great.
ride. And I love the cocktail idea. >> and just every every rider gets a cat on. their lap. >> Yeah. >> Oh, yes. Yes. >> And I love the idea. I love this. My. only request, Margaret, is that all. three rides collide at the end. Oh my. god. >> So the Conan ride smashes into the gory, smashes into the Sona, they all smash. into the same place and there's some. injuries every time. [laughter]. That's the podcast. That's Yeah, exactly.
