Jade Cargill Calls WWE Wrestlemania Opponent a LOSER & Marco Wants Her to Wrestle Oprah
I was screaming your name. You didn't. say nothing. >> And you said No, you said you were You. said you responding fast. >> No, but listen, I was seeking revenge on. that crazy girl. >> You could have just gave me two seconds. of your time. >> No one got my time. >> And I'm sitting there telling people I. said I know her. I'm like, I know her. These white family was like, "You do? >> Where were you?". >> I was right between announcers. >> Well, see, you see me getting my face. beaten and then. >> I was trying to help. >> So, why did you jump the guard rail to. help me? >> Cuz there was a little kid by me. >> So, >> Huh? So, >> cuz I told man violence ain't the. answer.
>> The whole show is violence. [music]. >> Uh, world. Hello. This is me, Marco. I'm. here with Jay. Is that your real name or. your wrestling name? >> That's my real name. I'm one of the rare. ones that have my real name. >> Yeah. Did you ever wanted a nickname? >> I did. I was trying cuz you need that. alter ego. So, I stood up. Well, I. stayed up till like 4 a.m. with Chris.
Jericho and a couple other wrestlers. >> We couldn't. And he said, he was like, "I'm I'm great at giving people's names. I can give you a name." [music]. >> It took me over a year to settle on the. fact I should use my name. So, we sat up. till 4:00 a.m. He was like, "No, maybe. you should use Jade." And I think. >> it works perfectly. Jade Carill, it just. flows. >> Oh, you said Chris Jericho. That's a. legend right there. >> Yes, it is. Super cool guy. >> Yeah, that's amazing. Just growing up. with uh wrestling, were you like. familiar with watching it on TV a lot? >> Here and there.
>> I grew up I was a big tomboy. Um used to. wrestle with the guys. Skin knees, elbows, bloody noses. I used to fight. because they did not want to wrestle. with a girl. >> Um so I watched it growing up and China. was my role model. So China. [clears throat] and Stone Cold were like. my two people that I loved growing up. Who are you? >> And it was funny. Um Mankind. I like. mankind because I feel like that's. that's my personality where he got. cactus jack then he got like he got so. many different people and then. >> he really like went down to the end.
Even when he used to get hurt hurt still. kept on going. >> Okay. Okay. What would your ring? I'm. looking at me. I'm like what would your. name rang name be? >> Oh that would be funny. Dang. Um. that's a good name. >> Damn. I never thought about that. >> It's tough. >> Yeah. >> it's tough. That's when you get put on. the spot cuz you got to do everything. and then you come up with the intro. Okay. So, tell me about the theme song. How did you pick your theme song? >> So, I love a good beat. >> and I love the electric guitar. So, what. I wanted to do was everybody that loves.
rock and roll, everybody that loves. heavy metal, all that stuff. I need. everybody that loves good beats, R&B, everybody come in the middle and just. kind of have a good beat. So, it took me. about 6 months for me to complete it. And then I had a guy named King Fish is. the one who originally did my electric. guitar. Now that I'm at WWE, it's. changed a little. The beat isn't as. hard. And I'm hoping we go back to that. >> cuz I love a little beat to my melody, but I'm the one who really thought of my.
my beat. >> Where was your uh like your moment like. state that you like favorite place to. wrestle and like like city was like they. showed out. You can really hear them. like cheering your name like show the. most love. >> It's going to come out very cocky. everywhere. No, I'm kidding. No, it is. No, no, it's um overseas. Atlanta is cra. it's always crazy. I always turn up. Yeah, >> but overseas because we don't we're. starting to have PLE's like we have our. Wrestlemania PL next year there in. Saudi. So, um overseas because we don't. go there as often, we're starting to.
pick that up more. Um they go crazy. They go crazy. [clears throat] And I. feel like everybody from America, they're so spoiled. So, they more so are. not as they're excited, but they see it. all the time. like they can go to a. smackdown or raw any like what city you. want to go to. So we probably go. overseas now twice a year. Um so. Scotland was wild, France was wild. I love France. Um UK is. always wild but it's a toss up between. France and Ireland. >> Mhm. What do you So with this match.
coming up, what are you like looking. forward to like with the fans? Do you. really especially like when you in. there? Do you hear like where it be so. like really quiet? people don't know on. TV you can really hear every. >> amazing everything. >> Was this one what was like one that you. probably heard and you said something. back to like somebody you got into it. with somebody. >> Um I was in Saudi and you can actually. pull this up. So I was in Saudi and this. guy uh I think he said you suck when I I. won Queen of the Ring last year 2025 and. I was walking ramside and he was like.
you suck and I was like yo mama. [laughter] and but I hear everything and. like cuz you got to think where we are. We're in Saudi. So for me to talk to. another man like that, it's kind of like. and I was I was afraid. I was like, "Oh. my gosh, like [clears throat] just shut. up. What are you doing? What are you. doing?" But that was one time that I. actually spoke back and I was a face at. the time. So I was a good guy. And as a. face, you're supposed to embrace the. crowd. But I'm also that type of person. like you knocking my door, I'm going to. answer like leave me alone. But I talk. to fans all the time. I hear them all. the time. I actually love fan. interaction. When we do live events, I.
always tell my opponent, "Let's go. outside because I want to give someone a. show." Because if they're paying all. this money to sit sit front row and. they're bringing their family and. friends who have never seen wrestling, >> I want to be able to give you something. that you can bring back like, "Oh my. gosh, Jade came up to me and like, I. don't know, shot me a bird or like. grabbed my popcorn and threw it at me. or, you know, grabbed my popcorn and. threw it at my opponent." I love that. Like, I love that interaction because I. want to give that person their money's. worth. But you got a real life switch.
like cuz you like when switch like and. you it's like that's you in real life. too like where you really could like. >> go into your or. >> Yes and no. So I'm a bad guy now. I'm a. heel. I love it. I think my character. I'm getting cuz we have writers. So it's. it's a combination of who I am and not a. combination of who I am. But um like. previously my heel character was more an. ext. whatever of myself. I can help you. I. don't know how to say that. >> I know it's that. I'm sorry. My mind is.
like everywhere. But it's just like a. it's that part of myself. Um like I'm. confident. I know who I am. My character. more so is like in your face with that. confident. Like I'm this, I'm that. You. can't beat me. D as a real. >> Yes. But I'm a real chill, laid-back. person. Like somebody you. >> That's it. That's it. You keep knocking. at my door, I'mma answer it. But that's. who I am. But we have writers who kind. of like give you the guide. They It's. like a script. >> and you have to deliver the cadence. You. have to deliver all that stuff, but for. the most part, it's an extension of.
myself. >> Mhm. Is Megan good your sister? >> No. >> Oh. >> I look like Megan Good. >> Yeah. You never heard that? >> No. I get uh Tiana Taylor a lot. >> That too. Wow. >> I get that a lot. I get that a lot. A. lot. A lot. A lot. >> Is there anybody that you seen like. shocked that is a fan like a celebrity. like wow they support me scene? Like is. it somebody that you was happy? Like. wow. You know what I'm saying? Like that. you like grew up watching like wow now. they watching me. >> Michael J. white. >> Uh-huh. >> Because I watched him growing up in. martial arts.
>> Who's Michael J. White? Is he white? >> No, he's black. >> Oh. >> You know, he's like a big karate kung. fu. I'm trying to think what movie he. was in. Was he in Why Did I Get Married? Big SW guy. Big SW guy. >> It's because I [music] like I. appreciated body when I was growing up. because I grew up very muscular. That's. why I liked China because. >> she had confidence and she had this aura. about her that was very unapologetic. [music] And growing up being muscular, I. was picked on. So I looked at these. people who were muscular and embraced. that he was one of those people that. embraced it. >> So when he wrote me like.
I was like hell yeah I love this but. that's one person because I actually. watched him growing up. >> Yeah. So people want to get you into. acting. How do you feel about that? And. they also say you be the next Storm in. X-Men. What's the feedback or like what's the. route you would take if you want to do. that? >> I love what I'm doing right now. I. really want to lay a foundation. I look. at people who have came before me like. The Rock or John Cena. Like John Cena. just fil his whole final uh tour this.
past year and I really want to lay the. foundation before I dip off into that. lane. Now I can do both if WWE lets me. I could do both. But um I really want to. lay a thick foundation here that. can be that can't be duplicated so I can. always come back and help the next. generation like John Cena did or The. Rock has done. >> Um but if the opportunity presents.
itself, I doubt WWE will say no. >> Yeah. >> So I would love to I I think that I. absolutely would love it. I think that. my job prepares me for situations like. this and those type of scenes. I mean, I. am a walking superhero, >> so why not? Like, you don't need all the. aesthetics. Just let me go out there and. be myself. Hand me the script. Give me. some time to rehearse and I got you. >> Yeah. Did you watch Storm growing up? >> I did. And that's So, um, I'm trying to. veer off a little bit because I don't.
want anybody getting sued. But. >> when I first started, my whole persona. was Storm because I felt like, >> so why don't you do the wrestling name. or try to do something around that? >> We can't get sued. We don't want to get. sued. >> Storm. I feel like when you when you say. Stormy, what do you think about? >> Stormy, it'll be you. >> I mean, yes. But I feel like I know. other people with that name who have. that like marquee of a name. >> that I don't even want to compete with. that. So that's the only reason why. And. I can see how. >> companies like Marvel and stuff like.
could come after me if I do that. So. now, even though initially I started the. base was Storm because I thought she was. a strong, powerful black queen that was. very unapologetic. >> And I feel like when I go out there, the. audience, they they uh attend to my. cadence. So if I want you to stand up, you're going to stand up. If I want you. to sit down, you're going to sit down. Like it's all off my Yeah. It's all. about right there. >> It's all off of my performance. I feel. like I weather the storm. Like I weather.
the crowd. I'll tell you how to act, but. I have to get away from that so no one. gets sued. >> This show is sponsored by Liquid IV. I think I'm more. nervous to do interviews. Like right now. I'm fine, but I'm more nervous to peel. back and because I'm very um laidback. I. don't like people really knowing my. life. Like I'm going to show you what I. want you to see type person because I. feel like when you peel back too much,
people think they know you and it's like. >> Yeah. >> Come on. Like you don't know me. Yeah. Exactly. >> But I feel as though when I am. performing, I'm just putting on a mask. Like it's just an extension of who I am. nervous. So, you do walk down. >> I My first Mania, everybody thinks I was. so nervous and I think it was more so I. was focused and engaged and I don't do. the dancing and I'm very like stoic, >> but uh my first match ever was with. Shaquille O'Neal and our champion now, um Cody Rhodess. >> And I asked Shaq before I went, I was.
like, "Are you nervous? Like, you ain't. this is my world. Like, you've never. done this." And he was like, "Baby, I'm. Shaq. I'm going to do what I want to. do." And I was like, >> "Yeah, you're right." Like, "Okay, all. right. So, why am I nervous? This is my. field." So, I took that confidence that. he had and I embodied that. And so, now. >> I probably breathe and I turn it on and. I'm ready. I hear my music and a whole. another person comes out and I'm ready. to go. >> By the way, Shaq, you still owe my uh. fat cousin some pizza from Papa John's. Uh, so you said you was going to give. him a life supply of pizza and you. didn't. So, um, yeah, get that together.
>> I didn't say that to bring that up. I. thought Yeah. No, I didn't. I didn't. know anything about that. I don't want. to get in trouble with the big man. >> No. Sh. If me and Shaq got into, who you. think will win? Be honest. >> Don't Don't ask. >> Who you think will win? Me and Shaq. >> Shaq. >> Political reasons. >> No, >> I'll sue him. >> No, don't do that. >> No, I'm with you. That's dope. And then. look. Okay, so I got some pictures, right? Okay. >> Of wrestlers, niece. Like I want you to. say one word that you got that comes to.
mind. >> Oh gosh. Jeez. All right. Who. >> you got? Like. >> uh Kindle stick. >> Kindle stick. Okay. Uh, strong. >> Mhm. >> Crazy. Loser. >> Loser. >> Let everybody see it. >> Yeah. Loser. >> Loser. >> I'm going to try to do a new one. >> Loser. >> Who?
Uh, we'll lose. Athletic. >> Who? >> Who's. >> who? Who? Loser. >> Golf girl. >> Okay, so look. We got baby pictures of. wrestlers. I'm going to see if you can. guess who. These are like legendary. wrestlers. Baby pictures. >> I seen this. Is this Solo? >> Hold on. >> You have to look at the back.
>> Oh, >> I think I've seen that. >> Really? >> Wow. Okay. Well, I'm kind of close, right? [music] Right. >> No, it's the rock. >> They're part of the same family. >> He still got that same hairline. >> I didn't say it. You did. >> I know I did. >> All right. Well, I thought I was solo. Okay. So, these are any type of like. This isn't just current active. wrestlers. >> Yep. >> Michael B. Jordan. >> Oh, you good. >> Well, I see the the back.
[music]. Selena Gomez. >> Yeah, that's really good. Okay. >> Usher. They look like themselves. >> How you I thought this was Kevin Hart. >> No, come on. That looks like Usher. >> Yeah, you're right. >> Show that. Like that looks like Usher. >> Pop up on there. >> That looks like Usher. >> Oh, who baby is this? Jesus. >> I don't know. >> Yeah, >> I don't know. >> Let's guess. Uh, it look like Kane.
>> Well, I don't really know what I don't. know. Kane Kane. I have no idea. Who is. that? >> Oh, this Eminem. >> And I would have never got Would you. have gotten that? >> No. Well, sorry Eminem. I hope you don't. watch this. >> Yeah. Sorry. I never would have got. that. >> Wow. What about right here? This is a. good one. You should know this, baby. >> That's how you look when you walk down. the ring when you don't want to look at. nobody. >> I don't know. I don't know. >> This Adam Sear. >> Adam. Okay. Okay. I can see it. I can. see it. I can see it. This is hard.
>> Yeah. This is hard. >> How did you come up with your finisher. move? Like, did it take a minute? How. did you come up with your finisher? >> Um, there was this female, phenomenal. female wrestler named uh Eively. >> um at my previous company. And she was. like, "Whatever you do, Jay, you need to. have your opponent's face in the camera. and like looking petrified.". >> And I was like, "Okay, I don't know.". She was like, "Maybe like a double under. hook like Beth Phoenix." And I didn't. know about it because I was like, "All. right, well, I kind of feel everybody's. telling me I should do like a torture. rack or something with someone on my.
back." And um we've had uh wrestlers who. have done moves on their back like one. of the Bellas and things of that sort. who have messed up their neck, their. back, all these kind of doing these. moves. So I was trying to look for. something that I that can last over time. that I don't have to reser resort. results in surgery. And I was like, "Okay, what can I Because people think. wrestling is like easy, like the things. we do. But you continuously like me, I. hit my tailbone every time I hit the.
mat. >> Over time, I'm pretty sure I'm going to. feel my tailbone bone. It's going to. hurt. >> I just figured out about the tailbone. >> Huh? >> I just figured out about the tailbone. What do you tell? No. So, look, I got. Okay, so I was on planes a lot a lot. And then I woke up this morning and I'm. like, "What the hell is this pain?" And. I didn't know how to explain it to my. brothers cuz I didn't want to tell them. my ass hurt. >> So, I'm walk I'm like I'm I'm like, "What is this?" So, I'm on an airplane. and then this old lady, she's sitting. next to me and [music] I just can't sit. right and she just I'm sitting like this. and she's like, "What's wrong?" And I'm.
like, "Something hurts." And then and I. was like, "I just don't know how to say. it." And she was like, "You can talk to. me." So, if remind me of my grandma. >> Okay. >> So, I told her my ass hurt. >> My ass hurt. >> And you know, >> you didn't say it like that, did you? Did you say my tailbone hurt? >> I didn't know what it was. That's what. I'm saying. I didn't know what it was. So, she told me, "What do it feel?" And. I feel I can't touch it. Like, it just. feel like a pain. You can't touch it. And then she was like, "Oh, that's a. tailbone." I never knew what a tailbone. was. And then that's when I end up. looking to the doctor more. >> No, I didn't know. I didn't know about a. tailbone. It just sound like, you know.
what I'm saying? Tailbone reminds me of. like dragon tails or something. >> So, I thought it was like a tail. I. don't have a tail. >> It's okay. It's okay. >> But shout out to the old lady that. helped you that now you know. Well, how. often do you fly? >> Uh, it was a lot. Like a lot. >> cuz I our life like I basically am paid. to travel. >> Yeah, I know. all the time like just. back and forth like a basketball like. player like how they just on the road. >> It's a lot. >> Do you feel like it should be like. should it be a home? What if they did. have wrestling like a one home state.
like for like a month and like people. could come visit and go or a weekend or. something? >> I love it. And I did that when I first. started. It was in the pandemic area. So, um the previous company I was at, we. stayed in Jacksonville for. >> a very long time and I absolutely loved. it. It was easy. I knew where I was. going. I went to Jacksonville. University. Shout out to JU. Um, go. Dolphins. >> Um, but it was just easy. I knew where I. was going. I knew the hotel we were. going to. It just became like a second. home. It's when you go to these. different airports and go overseas and.
have to operate on that time zone. Like. when we land in Germany, it can be, >> you know, 2:00 over here and we have to. go over there, land, and perform. Like. that's a lot. >> and you you've been on the plane for. hours. So you have to [clears throat]. get up and just go. But um yeah, that's. our life, I guess. Like traveling, I. can't imagine, but I feel my neck when I. travel. >> So, it's a neck pillow. >> Yeah, I do. >> I do. I have one for Well, I was out. last year for about two months because I.
had a neck injury, >> which is normal in wrestling. So, I have. to travel with the neck pillow. >> Yeah. >> But yeah, >> I used to love wrestling. I used to My. favorite move was like the rock bottom. on my cousin. >> Really? >> Yeah. I was Musty, too. I was Musty and. I used to rock bottom. He was so mad. Oh. my gosh. >> You Yeah, that sounds like really dope. >> I used to just punch people, which is. terrible, >> but like you're not supposed to. You'll. be disqualified, but like I used to. punch people all the time. I really had. no special moves, but I was dirty. I.
play. >> I think everybody dream is to punch a. referee. Have you got to do one yet? >> No. And I'm a heel, but I think we use. not think we use those very sparingly. because we need to make that a big. moment. I would love to bump a hill. I. would love to do not heel but a ref, but. I would love to as a hill. But. >> I was watching a documentary of Stone. Cold and it shows the journey of. wrestlers what they go through cuz Stone. Cold used to have hair and he went. through like getting fired and then like. how he changed his name, how they made. it. So it's like a journey. >> even with you know I think the Rock has.
went through a journey too cuz Stone Co, he used to be broke going through. >> all these changes and then I was mad. too. I got mad because I found out Kane. and Undertaker wasn't brothers and I. >> I think everybody was so devastated. about that. I was too. >> and Kane didn't get burnt in no fire. too. That was a fake thing. So they said. what that storyline is how they. introduce Kane as is like when he came. out his first night is where Undertaker. was wrestling and then he came out to. get revenge on the Undertaker cuz he set. the whole house on fire. >> Yal. Yeah. >> Yeah. And and that's when I was like, it's really story lines of how people.
and it's really good. >> Mhm. >> And it is like uh and I always wonder if. it was different canes. It was the same. one from my whole time. You could tell. by his chin. He had a booty chin. >> So yeah, >> it depends. Yeah, it depends. Listen, they they put people in those slots. sometimes. >> Yeah. So, and then um is it a wrestler. that that you feel like you would like. to like see them return like they would. go crazy? >> I feel like Trish Stratus, she returned. last year at Evolution in Atlanta. I was. there. Um, so you see me do my thing. >> You was there. I was screaming your.
name. You didn't say nothing. >> And you said it was so many people. You said you responded fast. >> No, but listen. I was seeking revenge on. that crazy girl that you had on the. floor. >> But again, you could have just gave me. two seconds of your time. >> No one got my time. >> I'm telling people I said I know her. I'm know her. I follow her on Instagram. And then these white family was like, "You do?" And then that's when where. were you? >> I was right by between announcers right. there. And I told, >> well, see, you see me get my face beat. in then over there. That's when I got.
you in the face. Yeah, I know. >> But you I was trying to help you. >> I was trying to help. >> So why didn't you jump the guard rail to. help me? >> Cuz there's a little kid by me and I. told him he was like, "What should you. do?" Huh? >> So. >> cuz I told him violence ain't the. answer. >> The whole show was violence. >> But it's I was going to call the police. for you. >> There was there Yeah. >> Yeah. They were there. >> It was good. >> Yeah. Excuse me. But I I guess I'll take. it. I did. I did that night. Um but the. person I guess. >> Stone Cold too stone cold was amazing.
>> He was I guess but he could not come. back from because he had an injury. >> Okay. >> Um that's one person because it was two. people when I came to the company that I. was in awe to meet and I was mean. >> awe and awe to meet. >> What does that mean? >> Like I really wanted to meet like oh my. gosh. >> Oh just say that part. >> Oh well big words. >> A it's it's three letters right? Am I. >> confused? It sound like autumn. I. thought it was like a Christmas ottoman. or something. >> No, no, it's okay. Uh, but one was uh. Paul Heymon.
>> Paul was dope. He's always yelling. >> He's. >> He looked the same all the time, >> but that's amazing. That's what he does. either. >> He doesn't. And the fact that he's been. able to push so many families to success. and he survived so many generations. because. >> kids today are totally different than. kids in the '9s. You know, like what? Like now we want instant gratification. and he's able to just fit in with any. time. He's timeless and I love that. um. >> the double chin, right? Him. >> And then the other person is um see if.
Roman hears that he might be upset. But. the other person, it was Stone Cold. >> Yeah, >> it was Stone Cold. So. >> Shawn Michaels, too. >> Shawn Michaels. He's super cool. Very. laidback. >> Okay, let's have our. >> I think Sexy Red just dropped a song, [clears throat] right? >> All right. Who has the best intro time? Me and my brothers arguing about this. and this how how amazing I am, right? >> Um cuz we the confidence. Listen, >> you Okay, >> I love the confidence. Keep going. I'm. listening. >> All right. We was arguing about who had. the best intro ever. Okay.
>> And I said Undertaker. Last ride. Keep. rolling. When he comes around with the. motorcycle and tell me why he come out. the same day that I was talking about. that, but who do you feel? He said Shawn. Michaels do. I said no. Undertaker has. the best intro. >> Boy. >> Yeah. But Undertaker is the best intro. ever. >> And also it's him and Eddie Guerrero. when he come out with the. >> Yeah. had the cat. Yeah. Um, >> who would you say is your best intros? >> I like Triple H. >> I like Triple H. >> It came out spitt in the air.
>> That's on people. Well, it wasn't me, but I think I liked it. It's very. original. And then um I guess I could. say Stone. I like the broken glass. >> Yeah, >> I like the broken glass. And he came out. like a badass, like unapologetic. And he. came from the back. I think at one point. he was coming straight from the back, right? >> Who we branded differently? I got the. answer. Like who we branded? Who is. somebody that just being one person but. they switched and being like another. character the wrestling like came with a. whole new image. >> as far as a whole? >> Yeah. Like somebody that does that's.
like you if you are who you are now and. you came back as being like. >> a face or something. >> something different. You know how like. mankind switched and being different. people. Do you. >> currently I thought Naomi the crazy girl. on the floor? >> She did an amazing code switch. She was. a a good girl and she was naturally like. she loved kids. uh her whole persona was. like the glow and the fact she was able. and she when she switched she actually. had a hard time switching and she was. asking me like this is like so sudden I.
don't know what to do and uh I remember. she was looking at her fans for like. help. >> but then she would go out there and just. own it and I'm like girl you're doing. great like you you look fantastic like. it's believable but her co switch was. like so good the fact that. >> the majority of her career she was a. face that's all she knew she was beloved. she's still beloved cuz she was so good. as a face. It's like it has. spray tan in it from Tiffany Stratton. Like, it's it's real. That's the hard.
