X-MEN 97 Episode 1 + Episode 2 BREAKDOWN! Easter Eggs & Details You Missed!

welcome back to new rock stars I'm Eric. Boss and this is a breakdown of X-Men 97. episode 1 and episode 2 the two-part. Premiere to me my X-Men and mutant. Liberation begins Marvel has resurrected. the X-Men animated series that aired. from 1992 to 1997 with a storyline that. picks up where the show left off with. amazing fight sequences yet still the. classic animation charm and unrestrained. exploration of the Marvel world that we. have been missing we broke down the. complete 78 episode run in another video.

to help you catch up but here in this. video I'm going to break down these. first two episodes of 2024's Xmen 97 for. the Easter eggs the animation secrets. and just impressive attention to detail. that you might have missed now you may. have noticed 2024 is becoming the year. the X-Men come home to Marvel so to. celebrate with us and to support new. rock stars grab one of these Xavier. Institute shirts over at nerd riot. shop. okay we open with a new Marvel animation. title card that it seems like the studio. is going to be using to distinguish. titles like X-Men 97 and your friend.

neighborhood Spider-Man and Ice wakanda. Marvel zombies and maybe future seasons. of what if from the other liveaction MCU. titles now these background cameos. include a mix of past Marvel animated. shows on other networks and more recent. Marvel Studios titles that we've seen on. Disney plus I think to pay homage to. these past eras that we grew up with. whose popularity really led to these. film adaptations that now dominate. Hollywood and if you go through these. opening seconds frame by frame you can. see in this order Spider-Man from the. 1967 series and then Ben grim the thing.

from the 1978 the new Fantastic 4. animated series and you can actually see. the robot Herby in the bottom right here. and we know from the cast announcement. that Herby will appear in the liveaction. MCU Fantastic 4 movie that's coming in. 2025 Herby was actually introduced in. this 78 series to replace the Human. Torch who was at that time option for a. solo series that never came to be there. was actually a theory that Herby. replaced the Human Torch so that kids. wouldn't set themselves on fire but that. wasn't the case okay but next we see. Wolverine from the 1992 run of the X.

animated series that this show is. continuing and then Silver Surfer this. particular shot is actually from the. intro of his 1998 solo animated series. Mr Surfer have you ever considered. propane as an alternative energy source. for that board of yours I think this. might be the first time we're seeing. anything Silver Surfer related in like a. Marvel Studios Production so it's very. exciting but then we shift into more. recent Marvel Studios animated. characters from the Disney plus era. including the Watcher from the what if. series zombie Steve Rogers from the. season 1 zombie episode of what if this.

is the moment he snars at Bucky on the. subway car and tala from the what if. tala was Star-Lord episode of what if. when he was perched on a crate in the. collector's Vault okay then we go right. into it the classic 1992 intro sequence. with the epic theme. music Marvel Studios has been waiting. for this moment they've used this Rift. to introduce Kamala Khan as a mutant. when they introduced the 838 Universe. version of Professor X and now we just. get it here in it rocks but a note on.

this themee song that we have to talk. about this was composed by Ron waserman. who also by the way composed the '90s. Power Rangers theme the Coco Power. Rangers this guy was such a big part of. our childhood but you may notice in the. credits of this episode the music only. lists X-Men 97 theme written by hiim. Saban and Shuki Levy hiim Saban and. Shuki Levy were Israeli musicians and TV. producers who founded sabon. entertainment the company behind the 90s. X-Men as well as the 90s Spider-Man and. the Power Rangers so why did they get.

the credit here it's probably like a. money and legal thing I mean the X-men. theme song was subject to a lawsuit in. 2019 for sharing similarities with the. tune of a show called Linda which is a. Hungarian cop show that ran from 1984 to. 1990 but I'm speaking only for myself. here I believe music plagarism lawsuits. are frivolous and overly awarded to. judges who don't know about music. theory and they tend to overweigh just. melodic similarity compared to the work. and creative Ingenuity it actually takes. to make a composition truly. transformative but this is all just to. say Ron werman your name should have.

been in the credits here anyway the. opening credit imagery actually follows. what we remember from the '90s Animated. Series but they did make some upgrades. to it not just to the animation style. but to what we actually see we start. with the two flying X-Men Rogue and. storm with the Blackbird but storm. you'll notice as a mohawk now and they. are flying from two planets instead of. three then we swoop into the cockpit but. instead of just Wolverine Jubilee Gambit. Cyclops and Jean Gray in that cockpit. they are now also joined by Beast morph. and Bishop and then we get all the. character introduction whereas before.

the order went Cyclops then Wolverine. then Rogue then storm then Beast then. Gambit then Jubilee then Jean Gray then. Professor X now it goes Cyclops then. Jean Gray she's moved up a few spots and. then storm who's moved up a few spots. and then Wolverine and you'll notice. he's not in his jungle setting anymore. he's just kind of on the same green crck. that Cyclops was and he's weirdly naked. in a speedo before his suit appears on. and then morph has been added to these. opening credits then Rogue then Beast. then Gambit then Jubilee and then Bishop.

has been added and then finally we get. to Professor X and like I said some. animation details have changed like Jean. Gray's hair is longer storm has the. Mohawk Rogue flies with a visible wind. Trail on her title card then we see. Rogue getting insens snared by a. sentinel and using her strength to flip. it as we saw in the 1992 version but. whereas before she did this in wide and. just kind of flipped it with her General. strength off to the side to the left now. they add more frames to this motion to. show Rogue screaming in closeup as she. flips The Sentinel toward the camera and. she also kind of like straddles the.

camera for a single frame you'll notice. that they definitely flattened some of. the sexualization of the character. designs in the '90s but also they upped. it in other ways and specifically with. the animation movement okay then they. removed the shots of Jubilee on the. fence but there is a reason why that. we'll get to later in this series then. we get a new shot of morph getting. surrounded by these Crimson rappings as. we hear some laughter reflected in his. eye is a red-eyed silhouette who's. almost certainly Mr Sinister who haunted. morph in all the Xmen throughout the. '90s run and will show up in this show.

and then we get the evil Mutants versus. the X-Men charge the classic thing that. always ended the sequence but whereas. before Magneto's lineup included. Juggernaut Warpath who they actually. added in because they had already done. the design for his twin brother. Thunderbird and Thunderbird was the. character was supposed to die in the. first episode instead of morph and then. there was gargoyle Yuri toov then pyro. Mystique saber-tooth and avalanche now. the lineup includes Juggernaut emmafrost. Lady Death Strike pyro Mystique. saber-tooth and Avalanche and then. you'll notice in the middle it's now a. more diverse group of humans running in. the crossfire and now we see there.

fleeing two giant Sentinels which were. not there before and then over on the. left side whereas before Jean Gray did. not join the X-Men in that charge now. she does also this may be nothing but. before Magneto's waves that came out of. his fist were red now they are yellow. kind of going from a Sinister color to. more of a color associated with. friendship and then we end with the. silver X-Men logo with the electricity. sizzling across it but now that current. flows to the right to produce a golden. 97 so yes this episode's title is to me. my EXP a catch raas later repurposed by.

other mutant leaders throughout the. comics including Cyclops and the ccoa. run so we are going to see how this. episode progresses the succession of. Professor X's leadership the New York. skyline includes two towers that aren't. quite the World Trade Center but you. know this is 1997 so they would still be. there Time Square is actually filled. with Easter eggs going from left to. right we see the name dasta which is the. surname of Roberto dasta Sunspot and. Roberto later says in this episode that. his family is well wealthy then we see.

vistacorp which is the name of the. company that Scott Lang used to work for. and hacked into that got him imprisoned. that preceded the Ant-Man film in 2015. beneath that is a NASA space shuttle. which might be a nod to the Space. Shuttle that they piloted in the season. 3 Phoenix Saga story line then up top in. the middle there is a blue Stark. industry sign now we don't expect to see. Tony Stark to appear in the series but. back in the '90s pretty much all the. Marvel characters including the Avengers. existed in the world of the X-Men so yes. there is a Stark Industries as well as. like a Daily Bugle in the background of.

this world which is very cool to think. about beneath the Stark Industries logo. is a green yashida logo which Ison to. shinjin yashida one of the Silver. Samurai father to Maro yashida and then. also we see a sign for ok Cola which is. a brand of soda that Tony Stark bought. in the 2008 Invincible Iron Man number. four and then at the center on the. ground there is the statue of George M. Kohan that exists in Times Square in the. real world and then we move on to a less. safe block where there are signs for. bail bonds future coms future coms mean. pagers and more I love it and then.

Rising Spire records which is probably a. variant of Tower Records now on a post. is a flyer saying to report mutants and. then graffiti in blue says mutants are. monsters and the graffiti and yellow. trust no mutant and then on an even. worse block we see Crazy Eddie. electronic shop So Crazy Eddie was a new. york-based chain in the 70s and 80s run. by Eddie and Sam Anar which was a. company that engaged in a lot of Fraud. and filed for bankruptcy in 1989 but. here it is in 1997 still scamming and in. the dark alley you can see Kalisto in. leech members of the morlocks those are.

the underground mutants who don't look. like normal humans so they kind of have. to hide in the shadows so we see a. broadcast from wh6 recapping the events. of the season 5 finale that episode was. called graduation day when Henry Peter. grick blasted Professor X at the UN and. put him in a coma the broadcast in the. show so far claim that Charles is dead. but we know from watching that episode. that Charles really just left Earth with. lilandra to the shiar Empire for. treatment so I assume this is kind of. cover story I'll talk more about this in. a bit but wh recognize that's the N.

Universe News Network of the MCU but. being wh 6 here suggests that it's just. a smaller Network in 1997 before media. mergers and Acquisitions of the 2000s. and it would be something like New York. 1 still a very important news network. just not as big as like you know CNN or. BBC a car pulls up to a hip skate party. but you'll notice the letters are. missing so it looks like hate party. which is very fitting for a warehouse. used by the mutant hate group of the. Friends of Humanity or FOH you'll notice. there is a missing poster on this poll.

and this photo is the mutant Maro Sarah. rushman now Meo also runs with the. morlocks in the comics but wasn't with. the morlocks in the original animated. series which could just be a little. inside joke because you know maybe she. was like missing from that storyline so. we see Roberto dasta Sunspot getting. pulled into this Warehouse with a mutant. dampening collar on we saw these. throughout the ' 90s run they first. appeared in the season 1 episode slave. Island where they were used on josha now. the fooh we see has Sentinel blasters. that they have derived from actual. Sentinel Tech and they're Shi keeping. them in boxes of rollerblades which is.

so wonderfully '90s the fooh members. mullet and denty talk about how some. buyer is paying 10,000 for every mutant. and Carl denty we know from the comics. is the name of the Executioner and we. will see his costumed form in episode. two Roberto says I didn't ask for this. okay I Was Born This Way interesting. words because in part two of the 1992. pilot Jubilee said almost the exact same. thing it's not my fault I can't help the. way I was born but d 's breath becomes.

visible indicating a drop in temperature. and thunder rumbles overhead I am storm. Mistress of the elements surrender the. boy or face my Fury storm is back and. she's just like she was in the90s Dy. calls her a witch and indeed Aurora. Monroe is giving off some surrender. Dorthy Vibes here and I love it storm. was frequently called a weather witch in. the ' 90s run most notably by Sauron. from The Savage land storm goes to work. on these guys it's so awesome to see.

Bishop drops in providing backup using. the Hits From The Sentinel Blaster to. charge up his body and return that fire. and then when Cyclops arrives you'll. notice that Roberto just kind of. exclaims in Portuguese because the. character is Brazilian Cyclops fires his. optic blast to repel him and Roberto. backwards it's so sick then this grunt. charges up a giant Sentinel hand to. blast them and you'll notice in the. background Roberto just Chucks a. rollerblade at another's head but they. snare Cyclops and they take his visor no. don't I Surrender.

H. not again not it's such a 1997 thing but. you may remember Scott Summers actually. says the same thing in the 1992 pilot of. course. not so Cyclops just blows up the entire. warehouse and you notice a few. rollerblades fly out at the camera but. also a Daily Bugle front page drops past. us we saw this in the trailer but in the. trailer inside scoop was on the front. page and now that's been replaced by. Benetton mutant fashion show in the '.

80s and 90s there used to be a United. Colors of benettin store chain and they. were known for these bold ad campaigns. that took on controversial topics and. here it just seems like beniton is. taking on the mutant craze and we see a. mutant model with antlers it's awesome. but in the upper corner our headlines. including is Spider-Man a mutant and you. know Spider-Man is not hyphenated as it. should be because I assume Just J Jonah. Jameson did not want to waste the ink on. this and then Hellfire Gala text by. Eddie Brock photos by Peter Parker so. Hellfire Gala obviously a reference to.

the Hellfire Club of Sebastian Shaw but. yeah the big news here both Peter Parker. and Eddie Brock exist in this reality. which was the case for the X-Men and the. Spider-Man animated series throughout. the 90s Spider-Man makes a brief cameo. in X-Men during the Phoenix Saga story. line but you just see his shadow and his. hand fipping but in a two-part crossover. on the Spider-Man series Peter's spider. mutation was running wild and he seeks. help from Professor X in terms of the. question is Spider-Man a mutant it's. long been debated by Marvel fans if it's. considered a mutant or not he's. definitely not but Peter has been called.

a mutate which means his normal DNA was. changed by some external Force so then. we get this x wipe to the X-Mansion. Gambit is making beignet of course he. would and he's wearing this cut off rock. shirt that shows some major abs and um. gutters on the radio he's listening to. mfo by cavana which is a 1997 pop single. from the UK mfo made for each other. Cyclops says that Professor X entrusted. them to protect his dream of mutant. coexistence and they have to stay an and. then in walks Professor X himself voiced.

by Ross Maran who voices Red Skull for. the MCU but you know since he's walking. it's obviously morph scurrying around. morph reverts to their neutral State the. producers of X-Men 97 have stated that. the character is non-binary on BEAST's. bookshelf we see George Orwell's Animal. Farm books on science and DNA and a book. by Jay lald Jay lald is for Julia lald. co- showrunner of the 9s series Animal. Farm actually showed up in the '90s run. in the inter Magneto episode it's one of. the books that beasts reads when he's in.

jail and of course it's really just a. reference broadly to mutant human. relations the whole concept of all. animals are equal but some animals are. more equal than others so we see Beast. hanging upside down just like the first. time we saw him in the 1992 series he's. tinkering with Bishop's Tech that can. teleport Bishop through time in space so. we're probably going to get a time. travel episode at some point this season. I mean we have to Crazy Bishop time. travel is such a huge part of all five. seasons of the show Cyclops and storm. asked Roberto for details on the fo's. Sentinel technology but he is uncoop. operative and Jubilee says kidnapping we.

want to help mutants even arrogant. yuppies like. you I love it when the animators of the. show embrace the jutter of the 9s kids. animation including reaction shots that. are just still frames like with. Roberto's face here the show is just so. good about picking the right moments to. embrace that unrefined quality while. like showing off in the battle sequences. it's how the show so perfectly captures. the tone of the 9s show something that. was made for kidss then aging it up for. audiences who now get these inside jokes.

now that we're adults not feeling like. the characters are any different than. they were when we used to watch them so. Jubilee takes Roberto to the danger room. where he immediately finds himself in. the Carnage of a destroyed U cting up. the destruction that the U will see in. episode two Jubilee asks if Roberto can. shoot gold balls from his body which is. a reference to Fabio media AKA gold. balls AKA egg egg is actually extremely. important to the kcoa storyline he is. one of the five who is responsible for. mutant resurrection and this could be.

extremely important for this season. because I asked producer Jake castorena. if this season would be pulling anything. from the comics after 1997 like. Cassandra Nova who will be the villain. of Deadpool 3 or kcoa and he actually. hinted that they were going to do that. what made the OG show so great Eric and. Julie lewald and Larry Houston and all. the team on that having love and. appreciation for thep they went to the. source material as true as that is in. the DNA of the OG show us being a. spiritual successor and a Revival so too. we should do that when out go to the. books so Wolverine snicks his two outer.

claws to pin Roberto's head and I love. how Roberto's people stylate when he. realizes that Wolverine is not part of. the simulation meanwhile Scott looks at. this portrait that shows the original. X-Men lineup as they appeared in 1963's. Uncanny X-Men number one Professor X. with the blanket everyone with black. masks and then blue and yellow uniforms. Beast with Caucasian skin and bare feet. Angel Jean Gray who was then known as. Marvel girl Cyclops and Iceman who then. kind of just looked like a goofy Misty. ice Cloud but they give him yellow boots.

here Cyclops and Jee talk to Dr Val. Cooper from the UN who's currently. jogging in some 80s workout gear Cyclops. ends the call with Cyclops out outside. the others play basketball and you'll. notice how Logan and Remy are shirtless. and their look playing basketball like. this as a nod to the X-Men comic number. four from 1991 where the same sequence. was drawn out by Jim Lee we see. Charles's death certificate listing his. death as November 11th 1996 now season 5. episode 10 technically aired on. September 20th 199 97 but November 11th.

would be Armistice Day AKA Veterans Day. in the United States these first two. episodes scarred around it which I. believe they do this to leave it kind of. a mystery for now but Charles Xavier is. not dead as far as we know like he just. left Earth with lolandra to recover but. Scott said the death certificate just. came in now like a few months later and. it's been several months since gyri. attacked Charles and it's just kind of. seems like the X-Men are using this. cover story of Charles's martyrdom to. unite Society against the whole. anti-mutant sentiments that's been LED. by gyri but I do believe Charles Xavier.

is going to return because Ross Marquand. is voicing him and you know that's a. pretty big deal but just note that. throughout this episode The X-Men do not. say Charles is dead just gone yet on the. basketball court Scott refers to gyri as. quote the man who killed Charles Xavier. but I just think he meant the Man known. publicly as the guy who killed Charles. Xavier but yes outside on this. basketball court you'll notice Logan is. so hairy Logan take that nose of yours. and go find the kid and take Jubilee yes. I love how Wolverine growls and Jubilee. hops with Glee Jubilee's Jersey reads.

number seven which could be a nod to. Jubilee 7 where in X-Men House of 92 the. comics from the year 2022 Jubilee in her. seventh life finds her allying with. Strife in a desperate attempt to stop. Nimrod in the Sentinels Jubilee. Wolverine Gambit Rogue and morph taking. their male form from the '90s episodes. that we remember enter this club looking. for Roberto and the music is kind of. this EDM house track where the lyrics. are something like I can't really trust. you now I looked for the track in the. credits I couldn't find it but the. composers credited on this episode are.

the Newton brothers who have worked on a. ton of titles they actually came up in. the remote control music group under Han. Zimmer so I assume this EDM music came. from them Rogue notices the skin contact. made by all the dancers and she Longs. for human touch while talking with Remy. Mor of messes with Logan who holding a. toothpick on one side of his mouth swigs. his beer on the other side morph shifts. into Jean Gray and plumps out Jean's. baby bump I'm having the most beautiful. baby in the world and Jean's bump will. be that big in episode 2 Jubilee finds. Roberto dancing with glow sticks then.

lowers her Shades and improvises glow. sticks of her own by Conjuring some. fireworks and he can see in his eyes. even here hey another young mutant can. make their body glow meanwhile the. others visit grick in prison who says. that PR mutant sentiment is a passing. bad as in look at my Mutant friend but. he ends his speech with this chilling. line tolerance is extinction and that. phrase is the title of the three-part. finale to this season so we know this. horrifying race war is going to be where. things are headed I think it's bold but. a audable that the writers of X-Men 97.

are basing garrix's speech on the. talking points of the great replacement. Theory which is a farri white. nationalist agenda which has just been. so horribly normalized by conservative. media but don't come at me for bringing. politics into this when Stan Lee and. Jack Kirby introduced the X-Men in the. 60s they conceived it as a metaphor for. the civil rights movement and it's. fitting that the X-Men in 2024 are. reflecting racism's ideological form. today but I just love how the scene with. gurick is storyboarded in a way to. reflect storm and then sky in gyri. lenses after Scott's thoughts were.

previously reflected in his Ruby quartz. lenses back in Xavier's office which in. guy's case simultaneously makes him look. soulless but also suggests that these. X-Men are living rentree in his head. which nicely sets up the reveal that. Jean Gray is literally using cerebro in. this moment to be inside of guy's head. she learns from his thoughts that gyri. and Boulevard trass planned a second. master mold and it's all in that same. kind of like translucent super. imposition that cerebro took throughout. the '90s run then Jean senses another. presence something's wrong someone else.

we see a girl coloring a drawing of a. castle that might be the X mansion and. the crayon is yay croa is a variant of. Crayola and in this nightmarish Vision. Jean discovers she is no longer present. but her baby is in a cradle while we. hear This creepy. [Music]. lullab now in general the imagery here. is setting up some reveals that will. come in episode 3 which I have seen it's. called fireade flesh it's a gene Centric.

episode and I don't want to spoil it so. I'm just not going to dig into it too. much here but you may have noticed that. the Demonic mastermold cites a verse. from Percy Shell's poem O amandus my. name is O amandus King of Kings look on. my Works see Mighty in despair this is. cited quite a bit throughout media. notably by the character o amandus and. Watchmen and it's perhaps poetry's most. famous passage about just the Folly of. human ambition how everything we build. in life will inevitably give way to. Decay over time and be claimed by the. sand storm actually hints at this poem.

in her awesome line later ancient sand. heed my command and reclaim these relics. of hatred a sentinel smashes a black. bird storm gives a nod to Rogue and they. go to work storm catches Gambit morph. morphs into Archangel and catches. Wolverine Rogue catches beast and Bishop. Cyclops needs no catching because he. Embraces the dive and then fires an. optic blast into the sand to cush his. landing and then he says the episode. title to me my.

[Music]. X-Men oh my God you may notice how storm. does this little hand flip which stins. perfectly with Scott's eyepiece so even. like behind his back he can kind of. sense her handing him the mic to say. this I actually asked supervising. producer Jake ctera about the. distinction between the unrefined. animation jutter in some scenes versus. the smooth animation during these action. scenes and he revealed how since the. scale of the Sentinels is different they. kind of had to use modern technology to. smooth out their movement so that modern. audiences would find that more watchable.

you know using CG layout for for the. Sentinels with 2D animated elements over. it as well as 2D animated characters and. scale to them it's a technological. advancement that I welcome because one. of the things that even as a kid I. noticed Sentinel scales in the original. show was just very inconsistent as big. as a house they were as small as a house. they were able to walk through them all. that's what I welcome about the future. advancements that we've had you know. over 30 years is that oh we can at least. keep scale consistent like that's great. you know that's not going to take the. audience out of the moment that giant. Sentinel is always is going to be a. giant Sentinel thank you to better help.

head and Chucks it into a third. Wolverine claws another Sentinel head. beast is just a big old goofball. dropping jokes greetings Enemy Mine. might I induce you to a change of. heart Lewis I think this is the. beginning of a beautiful involuntary. friendship of course a reference to the. final line from Casablanca and then he. operates his Sentinel like a puppet from. the heart outward and he fights the. others Scott calls storm to give him the. forecast and this episode says go goo. storm uses lightning to turn the Sahara. Sand into glass and then conjures the.

tornado to shatter that glass and tear. the Sentinels apart the Sentinels. explode around the Xmen like fireworks. and then light pours in from the heavens. as their severed limbs float around it. kind of evokes the Old Testament God. killing and sucking up the bodies of the. Nazis and Raiders of the Lost Arc and. just this awe inspiring Omega Level. power inspires the rest of the X-Men to. team up Gambit hops on Wolverine's back. and notice how Wolverine doesn't even. Flinch or stumble and then then Gambit. charges up his adamantium claws morph.

really be reaching into future. Progressive talking points with the. whole Love Is Love illusion but notice. how he once again gets tongue tied on. the word coexist a future where human. and mutant could relinquish the past and. finally yeah he can't say the word. coexist he hates it so Magneto defends. his actions as avenging an attempted. extermination of mutant kind but he has. no answer if that view would make him. too extreme to follow in Charles's path. and In This Moment the f forces breakr. with the mob and they're coming for.

reacts before he knows that storm lost. all of her powers for all he knows she's. just kind of wounded at first but either. way he rips the UN Globe Crest from the. wall and he pins executioner to it. flipping him upside down like he's in. like the circus Beville knife throwing. act and then we get this haunting. realization from Storm the breeze is. gone I cannot feel it nor the moisture. nor the air what has he done to me good. God she says she cannot feel the. moisture and when Magneto points to her.

later she is crying almost like she is. willing her cheeks to feel moisture. again the breeze has been a constant. companion that she has always felt with. a heightened sensitivity compared to the. rest of everyone else to be forced to be. numb it's just such a cruel thing to do. to her Magneto says is this the high. Road's destination if so I say as I have. too many times before never again never. again yet another loaded meaningful. phrase that absolutely reinforces.

Magneto as a victim of the Holocaust and. with this illusion to the high road. we're also reminded of the reaction to. statements like when they go low we go. high idealism with many historical and. present day revolutionaries and Freedom. Marvel as a company was still figuring. out how to look back at the Phoenix Saga. and meline prior and cyclops and cable. but now with the benefit of hindsight in. 20124 they are now in this position to. clarify and fix the animated show cannon. with this new season and seems like. they're going to find a way to tell the. story properly and that's just really.

cool to see folks what I love most about. this show is how animation seems to. liberate the writers to be more direct. and overt with the characterization. which you know in live action would. probably come off as like campy or. unnatural but here it gives X-Men 97 a. boulder theatricality and it allows. Magneto and storm and the other. characters to scare us and move us with. more flowery language and heightened. emotions Marvel needs Camp Marvel needs. color Marvel needs political fire and so. far Xmen 97 is bringing the heat thanks.
