So, we really have. to begin right in the middle of World. War II in 1943 at the Stark Expo in. Queens, New York, as shown in Captain. America: The First Avenger. Skinny Pre-.

Serum Steve Rogers and Bucky Barnes and. their dates toward the technology expo. hosted by Howard Stark. And they passed. by this display, Dr. Phineas Horton. presents the synthetic man. This Easter. egg in the 2011 film referenced the. original Human Torch from the Golden Age. in Marvel's Timely Comics era, a robot. before the character would kind of be. reinvented as the Johnny Storm Human. Torch. actually visions comic origin was. that he was a copy of the android body. of this era of Human Torch taken by. Ultron and inserted with some of. Ultron's technology and then programmed.

with the brain waves of Wonderman Simon. Williams to create an android son that. Ultron names Vision. Vision's MCU origin. happens later as a product of Ultron and. Jarvis and experimentation by the. Avengers. But in the Vision Quest. series, we will meet this Jim Hammond. human torch synthsoid. A newspaper. headline will suggest that Jim standing. for jewel individual machine killed his. tech boss creator Phineas Horton and. drew wings beneath his body. So. Frankenstein's robot monsters turning on. their creators will be established as. part of the legacy of Ultron and Vision.

And for Vision, his Dr. Victor. Frankenstein was Ultron. Meanwhile, another critical piece of the Vision. puzzle would be explored in 1947 to 1948. in the 18 episodes of the Agent Carter. series. This spin-off series starring. Haley Atwell as SHIELD agent Peggy. Carter in the early days of the spy. organization dealing with Hydra while. Steve Rogers was frozen in the ice. co-starred James Darcy as Edwin Jarvis, Howard Stark's longtime butler and. driver who aided Peggy Carter on a. number of missions and ended up. following Peggy to Los Angeles in season. 2 to deal with a dark force and Whitney. Frost. And that brings us to 1970 and.

Avengers Endgame, the Avengers time. heist to take Steve Rogers and Tony. Stark to Camp Lehigh, New Jersey to. retrieve the tesseract and more pimp. particles in order to get home. And here. we see James Darcy returning again as. Howard Stark's butler, Edwin Jarvis, one. month before Tony Stark's birth. From. here, the Iron Man public Identity. Prelude Comics for Iron Man 2 in 2010, explore Tony Stark's youth in the late. 70s and early 80s as Edwin Jarvis would. comfort him during his father Howard's. drunken outbursts. In 1991, Howard and. Maria Stark died in a car accident. We.

later learn the doing of Winter Soldier. Bucky Barnes. And afterward, Edwin. Jarvis would serve as a sort of father. figure to young Tony. So that when Edwin. Jarvis passes away sometime in the late. '9s or early 2000s, Tony would rename. his AI after Jarvis, now Jarvis would. stand for just a rather very intelligent. system. And actually, James Darcy will. return in Vision Quest, playing an. anthropomorphized form of Jarvis's AI. from this earlier era before Jarvis. evolved in Division. Meanwhile, 1999 was. actually an important year to note here.

This was the year of the Novigrad. bombings in Skokovia where a Stark. Industries warhead was dropped in the. home of Olegen Arena Maximoff and their. children Wanda and Pro. Young Wanda had. to use a low-level probability hex to. keep that bomb from going off. But that. ended up festering a lifelong hatred of. Tony Stark and the eventual Avengers. that he would later form. Elsewhere in. 1999, Tony Stark met a young Aldrich. Killian, future inventor of the AIM. extremist technology in Iron Man 3 at a. tech conference in Burn, Switzerland. And this is also where Tony meets. Yinsen, the captive who would later save. his life in Afghanistan. Bringing us to.

2008, the first Iron Man film. Jarvis is. now a snarky AI voice voiced by Paul. Bettany in Tony Stark's Malibu Mansion. And Jarvis ended up operating Tony's. Mark 2 and Mark III suits in the. heads-up display. In this movie, we also. meet Tony's simpler AI robots, Dummy. And you, Dummy, in particular, we. learned that Tony built at MIT and won a. robotics award for building. Dummy was. repeatedly shamed by Tony throughout the. film, but ended up saving Tony's life by. helping him reach that replaced arc. reactor heart. Both Dummy and You will.

also return as anthropomorphized AI. forms in Vision Quest, played by Henry. Lewis and Jonathan Seer, respectively. Also returning from the first Iron Man. film in this Vision Quest series will. reportedly be Farah as Raza, the leader. of the 10 rings faction that kidnapped. Tony Stark in Afghanistan. Raza might. end up being seen as a memory in this. series since we are going to be seeing. past MCU moments from the points of view. of some of these AI. So, this Jarvis AI. played by James Darcy might have some. memory of Raza, though we should note. that Tony's Mark1 armor that he built in. the cave with a box of scraps, did not.

have Jarvis programmed into it yet. Bringing us to Iron Man 2. In this film, Jarvis helped Tony while he fought. Whiplash in Monaco and helped Tony. invent a new element as a substitute for. the obsolete palladium in his arc. reactor that was poisoning him. Bringing. us to 2012, the events of the Avengers. Jarvis accompanies Tony Stark to the. shield helicarrier and hacks shield. systems to learn that the organization. was using the tesseract to make weapons. Jarvis guided Tony as he transitioned. into the Mark 7 armor in this movie and. accompanies Tony when Tony thought he. would be dying going through a wormhole. to space and throwing a nuke at Thanos's.

forces. Jarvis is the one who has the. idea to call Ms. Pots, but she didn't. pick up the call. So, the Battle of New. York is also a memory that Jarvis on. Vision Quest will also have. On to 2013, Jarvis got a bit more personality in. Iron Man 3 when we see a Jarvis stocking. hanging in Vision's red and green colors. while hanging above the fireplace of the. Malibu mansion. Jarvis in this movie is. mostly operating the faulty Mark 42. suit, but in the final battle, Jarvis. commands the House Party Protocol to. deploy the Iron Legion suits that would. eventually just all explode in the Clean. Slate Protocol. 2015's Avengers: Age of.

Ultron was really the key origin point. for most of the characters we're going. to see on the Vision Quest series. Wanda. Maximoff and her brother Pro were now. enhanced operatives for Hydra and Von. Strucker as bitter Sakovians who hated. the Avengers for the Stark weaponry's. impact on their country. We actually saw. Wanda and Petro in the previous year's. Captain America: The Winter Soldier. postredit scene. We also saw in W. division episode 8 that Wanda's powers. at this point were enhanced by the. Mindstone to show her her future as a. Scarlet Witch. That's the Wanda that the. Avengers are facing now. In this movie, the Avengers defeat Hydra and Sokovia.

and withstand Wanda and Petro's attacks. while controlling the local Sokovian. population with the Iron Legion drones. In this movie, we see Jarvis as a nice, warm, orderly display of orange. holographic clockwork. We also meet. Helen Cho, a scientist making. breakthroughs in regrowing human tissue, and Ulysus Claw, an arms dealer who has. stolen vibranium from Wakanda. Tony. Stark and Bruce Banner experiment with. the mind stone. And Tony theorizes that. they can use the cosmic artificial. intelligence contained within that stone. to run Ultron, which is Tony's new AI. algorithm that he's invented to operate.

his global peacekeeping force through. the Iron Legion drones. A suit of armor. around the world, he called it peace in. our time. Overnight, while the Avengers. party and Steve Rogers proves himself. sneakily worthy by nudging Mjolnir, Ultron wakes up and becomes sentient. He. quickly reviews all recorded media of. human history and the Avengers history. and comes to the conclusion that to save. this planet, all of humanity must be. destroyed. Ultron's coding destroys. Jarvis. But Jarvis has backed himself up. on a hidden drive. Now with the sexy. voice of James Spader, he puppets the.

Iron Legion drones and attacks the. Avengers. Ultron recruits Wanda and Pro. to his cause and takes Claw's supply of. vibranium and begins replicating Stark's. drones into Ultron centuries. Ultron. kidnaps and brainwashes Helen into. fusing synthetic human tissue with. vibranium atoms in order to build a new. synthoid body for Ultron. Ultron plugs. the mind stone into the forehead of this. body and plans to upload his own Ultron. consciousness into that body to become. the ultimate being. But the Avengers. interrupt that process and steal back. this new android body. Now Tony pitches. Bruce on completing this process, but.

instead installing the body with the. backed up Jarvis programming. The. Avengers debate whether this is a good. idea, that God of Thunder Lightning was. the final love tap that it needs to come. alive. And bam, here's Vision that they. now call him based off of Thor's vision. He's played by Paul Bettney in the sort. of flesh. He has the ability to phase. project layers of skin and clothes on. himself, evidenced early by his copying. of Thor's cape. Meanwhile, Tony upgrades. his armor with a new AI with an Irish. voice. Friday, female replacement. intelligent digital assistant youth, voiced by Carrie Condan, but will be.

played by Orla Brady in Vision Quest. Also in that drawer, by the way, was a. drive labeled Jocasta, a reference to. Ultron's robot wife from the comics, who. will also have a role in Vision Quest, played by Tenia Miller. Vision helps the. other Avengers fight Ultron's army of. centuries in Skovia and stop Ultron from. dropping the Skovian city back down on. Earth to create a global cataclysm. The. memories of Vision fighting Ultron will. be something Vision watches on a cinema. screen in Vision Quest. Apparently, the. house they live in will also have a. piece of the statue that we see in the. Age of Ultron credits where Ultron and. Vision are fighting each other. But in.

the Battle of Sokovia, Ultron murders. Pro Maximoff and Wanda rips out Ultron's. heart, at least the heart of the body. that Ultron was in in that moment. And. the battle ends with Ultron occupying. the one last century as he and Vision. debate the virtues of humanity in the. forest. >> Humans are odd. They think order and. chaos are somehow opposites and try to. control what won't be. But there is. grace in their failing. I think you. missed that. >> They're doomed. >> But a thing isn't beautiful because it. lasts. It's a privilege to be among. them. >> You're unbearably naive.

>> I was born yesterday. >> Avengers: Age of Ultron ends with Vision. joining the Avengers all while he's been. stealing some side glances at Wanda. Maximoff. In the months after this, we. learn that Wanda mourns her brother. Petro by watching old sitcom DVDs in. Avengers compound. Envision is the one. person there to join her and make her. feel better. Wanda describes her grief. this way. >> It's just like this wave washing over me. [music] again and again. It knocks me. down. And when I try to stand up, it. just comes for me again. It's just going. to drown me. >> And vision drops this wisdom.

America: Civil War. Wanda tries to help. the Avengers and Crossbones attack on. Logos by accidentally redirecting Brock. Romllo's explosion into a nearby. building, killing scores of innocents. Vision tries to cheer up Wanda by making. some pepper cash, setting him up as a. domestic daddy ideal. Secretary of State. Thaddius Ross issues the Sokovia Accords. to reign in the Avengers, which divides. the team into team Iron Man and team. Cap. Juan sides with Steve Rogers. against the accords, but Vision, who. supports Tony, forces Wanda to stay in. the compound. Clint Barton later arrives. to help break her out, and when Vision.

tries to fight Hawkeye, Wanda plunges. Vision's body down through the depths of. the compound. Wanda joins Steve's side. in the airport battle in Berlin. While. trying to stop Falcon, Vision fires his. laser and misses, disabling Rody's war. machine suit mid-flight, nearly leading. to James RH's death. Vision sits out the. rest of the fight while Wanda gets. imprisoned briefly on the raft. But at. the end of the Civil War film, Steve. Rogers returns to free Wanda along with. Sam Wilson, and Wanda will team up with. Vision as they go on the run as. fugitives. On to 2018's Avengers: Infinity War. We find Wanda and Vision. in Edinburgh, Scotland, their latest.

stop on their fugitive run. The Vision. Quest series will revisit Edinburgh in a. pub called the Old Selki that apparently. Wanda and Vision frequented during this. time. Since Thanos has deployed his. forces to retrieve all of the Infinity. Stones, Corvvis Glaive and Proxima. Midnight of the Black Order surprise. Vision and Wanda in Edinburgh seriously. wound Vision and nearly get the mind. stone out of his forehead. Steve, Sam, and Natasha save them, and they all. retreat to Avengers compound. Vision. wants to sacrifice himself by destroying. the mind stone. But Steve says, >> "We don't trade lives, Vision.". >> So they go to Wakanda where Shi works to. safely remove the stone from Vision.

without killing him, but they run out of. time as Thanos's forces attack in the. Battle of Wakanda, forcing Wanda and. Vision to join the fight outside. Now, with Thanos arriving with five out of. six stones, only the Mind Stone left, Vision tells Wanda that she just needs. to destroy the Mind Stone and let him. die. She does so crying. But Thanos uses. the time stone to reverse this. destruction and then sinks his purple. sausage fingers into Vision's head to. pull out the mind stone, killing Vision. and turning him into this gray corpse. Thanos snaps half of all life dusts, including Wanda Maximoff. Now, sometime. after the battle of Wakanda, agents from.

Sword retrieve Vision's corpse from. Wakanda and began experimenting on it. 5. years after this, in 2023, during the. events of Avengers Endgame, the Avengers. succeed in a time heist to find the six. Infinity Stones in the past. Smart Hulk. snaps and Wanda Maximoff is among the. returning fallen. But because Vision. died before the snap, he does not come. back to life. Wanda confronts Thanos. >> You took everything from me. >> I don't even know who you are. >> You will. >> And Wanda gets arguably closer than. anyone in killing Thanos. At least.

before Tony snaps. She breaks his sword, rips off his armor, and forces his hand. to rain fire on the entire battlefield, killing many of his own forces. Tony. Stark snatches the stones and snaps away. all of Thanos's forces. And as Tony. dies, Friday is one of the witnesses. >> Friday, life functions critically. >> Vision Quest creator Terry Matales. confirmed that we will revisit Tony. Stark's death scene from Friday's point. of view on this series. Endgame ends. with Wanda still grieving Vision. alongside Clint grieving Natasha. >> She knows they both do. >> Next on to the best thing ever, Wanda.

Vision. 1 month after Endgame, we're now. in November 2023, Wanda Maximoff tries. to recover Vision's remains from Sword, but no longer feels his presence in the. corpse. She realizes that Vision had. bought a plot of land for the two of. them to build a house together in. Westview, New Jersey. In her grief, she. uses her chaos magic to warp all of. Westview into a sitcom themed Hex Pocket. reality, including a newly conjured. vision based on her memory of him. They. start in a 1961 themed sitcom similar to. the Dick Van Djk show, as odd glitches. make Vision paranoid that something.

isn't right. We meet the nosy neighbor, Agnes, who's actually longtime witch. Agatha Hartness. More on her in a bit. Sword has set up a perimeter around this. town. And we meet Monica Rambo, who had. her own traumatic blip moment and lost. her mother, Maria, to cancer and now. works as a sword agent and teams up with. Jimmy Woo of the FBI to investigate this. hex, but Monica gets sucked into it. Wanda warps the hex into a late60s. bewitched era and is suddenly pregnant. Then she warps it again to a 70s Brady. Bunch era and rapidly progresses through. the stages of her pregnancy to give. birth to twins, Billy and Tommy. The.

reality glitches continue and want to. start seeing Vision as the corpse he. actually is. Outside the Hex, Darcy. Lewis works with Monica and Jimmy. against Sword to try to figure out what. the Hex really is and not see Wanda as. the ultimate enemy. Wanda warps the Hex. again into a 1980s growing pains full. house era as her sons rapidly age. But. at this point, Vision argues with Wanda. over what she is doing in this hex. And. ding-dong, Uncle Petro arrives, played. by Evan Peters, who played Quicksilver. Peter Maximoff in the Fox X-Men films. So now we're in the 2000's era Malcolm.

in the Middle sitcom Halloween episode. Wanda expands the hex to a huge area. Wanda warps again to 2010's Modern. Family era with the mockumentary format. breaking the fourth wall so that Agnes. reveals herself as the witch Agatha. Hartness. The name's Agatha Harkness, >> who was manipulating Wanda all along to. perpetuate the hex so that Agatha could. eventually steal the powers of the. Scarlet Witch. We learned that Agatha. Harkness was a witch who got too. addicted to power and was put on trial. by her own mother, Evanora, in her own. coven. In 1692 Salem, she used her power.

to absorb all of the powers of her coven. and kill them. Sword has taken the old. vision corpse and restored it using. Wanda's magic derived from a Stark drone. that she threw back at them, turning him. into the weaponized White Vision form. that we know. Sword deploys White Vision. into Westview. Wanda battles Agatha. while the two visions fight, leading to. this great moment in the library and the. wonderful ship of the debate. White. Vision requests elaboration and. thankfully for us, Hex Visionable. Hex. Vision downloads all of his memories. from the Hex and the history with Ultron. before into White Vision and White.

Vision flies through the skylight, leaving Westview until we catch up with. him on this vision quest series. Wanda. Vision ends with Wanda stealing Agatha's. power, trapping Agatha in a hex. brainwash and collapsing the Westview. hex, erasing the forms of her sons, Billy and Tommy, and her love Vision. >> So long, darling. Wanda is left heartbroken, despised by. the people of West View that she mind. controlled, and leaves West View to. explore the Dark Hole to try to find a. universe where she could be with her. sons Billy and Tommy. In summer 2024 of. the MCU timeline are the events of.

Spider-Man Far From Home. And here's. where we meet the Stark created AI form. of Edith, even Dead I'm the Hero. Tony. Stark installed this AI in a pair of. glasses and bequeathed them to Peter. Parker, giving him access to see private. communications and control his full. fleet of Stark drones. Peter nearly. loses these to Mysterio in a plot to. deceive Peter during his European trip, but ultimately Peter gets them back, but. they are later confiscated by the DODC. and Spider-Man No Way Home. We will see. the DoD repainted Stark drones in Vision. Quest. And on Vision Quest, Edith will. be played by Emily Hampshire, Stevie. from Shitz Creek. November 2024 are the.

events of Doctor Strange in the. Multiverse of Madness. Wanda exploring. the pages of the Darkhold has allowed. her to realize that she can dreamwalk. into the bodies of her variants from. other universes, something incredibly. dangerous as it can cause incursions. She controls interdimensional beasts. with runes to try to get America Chavez, a girl who can jump through universes by. kicking star portals. A defender Strange. dies protecting America Chavez and then. it falls on Earth 616 Doctor Strange. Wanda attacks Kmartage to get to America. Chavez and then uses the Darkhold to. dreamwalk into her variant from the 838.

universe. As that Wanda, she kills the. Illuminati of this universe. And then. kidnapping America Chavez, she gets to. the Darkhold temple on Mount Wagore. where Kathon first drafted the Darkhold. Earth 616 Doctor Strange dream walks. into his variant corpse and fights to. save America Chavez. Wanda, after seeing. how much she scares the variants of her. sons from the 838 universe, makes peace. with her variant and with herself and. allows the Darkhold temple to collapse. on herself. There was a little blast of. red light there that could have been. anything. She's believed to have died in. that moment. I do not believe. Even. though apparently on Vision Quest,

Vision will believe the weight of a full. mountain collapsed on Wanda. I still. hope. And lastly, in Agatha all along, we learn that at the moment Wanda. dropped her West View Hex, the chaos of. that moment caused a fatal car accident. in nearby East View, New Jersey with. Billy Kaplan, a boy celebrating his bar. mitzvah, who did have a special interest. in magic and witchcraft and tarot. But. at the moment of his death, the fragment. of Wanda's magic that was Billy Maxmoff. inhabited Billy Kaplan's body, leaving. this new Billy in a new confused state. He researches what he remembers about. his mother, Wanda, and her foe, Agatha.

Harkness, and finds the legend of the. witch's road, a complete myth. that Agatha made up in order to try to. steal the power of other witches. throughout the centuries. Because after. leaving her coven, Agatha met Rio, aka. Lady Death, and had a son in Nicholas. Scratch, who helped her make ends meet. from town to town. Nicholas died of cold. one night, and death led him away, leaving Agatha all alone, drifting from. coven to coven. Apparently, she was even. a passenger on the Titanic. But Billy. finds her in the modern age, still. trapped in Wanda's TV themed hex. But. that hex does fade from the police.

procedural. In Billy urges Agatha to. find a new coven and go down the witch's. road. With the Salem 7 finding Agatha. and seeking revenge, Agatha's new coven. goes down the road and she's shocked to. realize this road is real, created by. the chaos magic that Billy inherited. from his mother. One of the greatest. moments of the series is the realization. that he is exactly Billy, son of Wanda, having the comic accurate crown and look. of Wiccan. The witches go through a. series of trials, dying one by one. Billy and Agatha do a seance to find. Billy's missing brother, and Billy helps. guide the soul into another boy who.

drowned somewhere, Tommy Shepherd. Tommy. will be played by Rory Malikica in. Vision Quest. Agatha fights Lady Death. and dies. And Agatha's ghost joins Billy. on a quest to find his family. And. that's really where we're left as we. start Vision Quest. So, a quick cheat. sheet of what you need to know. Vision. Quest is being buil as the conclusion to. the Wision trilogy. So, it's the stories. of Wision, Agatha Allong, and now Vision. Quest. While W division and Agatha all. along were produced by Jack Schaeer. The. showrunner for this show is Terry. Matalis who ran the sci-fi 12 Monkeys. series and the second and third seasons. of Star Trek Bicquard. He's really one.

of the best science fiction TV writers. who knows how to work in the big genre. space. And Vision Quest looks like it's. going to have some of the most. interesting existential themes when it. comes to artificial intelligence, commenting on AI's ability to generate. art, make it through captas, and yes, go. rogue and kill us all. The title of. Vision Quest is inspired by the two-word. title variant of the comic story line. from 1989 by writer John Burn under the. West Coast Avengers run, which is. arguably already adapted in part by the. final two episodes of Wanda Vision. Vision's disappearance from the Avengers. West Coast compound, being found,

disassembled, and then returning as the. memory wiped White Vision and his. marriage with Wanda beginning to. collapse. This Disney Plus show story. line will extend that story line with. this original story by Terry Matales and. his team. After the events of Westview, Vision is now back in Edinburgh working. at that pub that he and Wanda used to go. to, the old Selki. Bounty hunters are. trying to find Vision, including. Paladin, played in the show by Todd. Stashwick. Vision spends a lot of time. inside of his own mind in the show where. he has a huge mansion that seems like. it's based on the ship of Thesius, and. it's going to contain all past forms of. Tony Stark's artificial intelligences,

That same code language appears. on the pinstripes in Vision's costume on. this series, leading me to hope that.
