I Plugged the X-MEN Into MCU History and… THIS IS CRAZY

I figured out how to perfectly fit the. X-Men into MCU history. Let me cook. Welcome back to New Rockstars. I'm Eric. Boss. And with the revelation of Gan. Gray in Spider-Man: Brand New Day as a. mutant existing already in the. background of the MCU along with other. X-Men characters announced at T23, Christopher Abbott as Professor Charles. Xavier, Kit Connor as Cyclops, Scott. Summers, Indie Navaretti as Rogue, Samara Weaving as Emma Frost, Maya Boyd. as Aurora Monroe Storm, and Adam Driver. as Mr. Sinister Nathaniel Milbury and at. least one or two more to come. According.

to Marvel Studios casting director Sarah. Haley Finn, this really now answered the. biggest question I've had about Marvel. Studios mutant plan. Yes, the studio is. now saying that all of these mutants are. homegrown in the 616 universe. the same. continuity of the 616 Infinity Saga. along with the history of Steve Rogers, Tony Stark, the Avengers, Shield, Hydra, the Sigovia Accords, the attack by. Thanos and the 5-year blip period, Doctor Strange's memory wipe spell, the. emergence of Teeut in the Indian Ocean, and that one time Konchu made some crazy. happen in the sky. It makes sense.

Marvel Studios isn't going to completely. reboot this entire universe after Secret. Wars. They're fully invested in things. like the lineage of Tchala, the current. Spider-Man they have that's making them. billions of dollars, Yolena Bova, and. hopefully for Anthony Mackey, the. current Captain America, not to mention. Shan Chi. You're not going to want to. erase everything he went through. So, in. this video, I'm going to plug all of. these X-Men characters back into this. still very much intact history of the. MCU to explain how some of these older. characters like Magneto, Sinister, Wolverine, and Apocalypse can fit into. the world as we know it. And one really.

cool way the 2028 X-Men movie could open. that could easily tie the Mutant Saga. into the Infinity Saga. By the way, the. shirt I'm wearing is this Magneto Omega. Okay, before. we begin with this mutant historical. revisionism, let's first talk about who. else is really missing from this X-Men. lineup and fill out our X-Men choose.

your fighter grid. After the seven. confirmed cast members for 2028's X-Men. were announced at D23, some folks looked. back at our colleague Brandon Davis's. interview at San Diego Comic-Con in July. with Marvel Studios casting director. Sarah Finn. Brandon asked her what it. was like casting the original six. Avengers versus the new group she was. casting now, referring of course to the. X-Men. And here's what she said. It's um. occasionally if we're doing something. where we might be casting say eight runs. at once, it's um it's quite challenging. and um and rigorous.

>> Yeah, you heard her. Eight. Now, at this. point, Satie Sink was already cast as. Gan Gray for Spider-Man: Brand New Day, so she probably would not have been part. of the decisions that were being made. the week in mid July 2026. Satie may. have been involved with the screen. tests, but really the decision was. already made when it comes to her. So, I. assume it was like 8 plus satis. It's. also not clear if Finn considers Aid to. include the villain of 2028's X-Men, Adam Driver, playing Mr. Sinister. So, it stands to reason that there are. between one and three additional mutants.

that are still in the process of being. cast for the film. While Kaylee Spy was. reported to be in talks to play Rogue. before Andy Naetti was cast, Night Edge. Media reported Friday that they heard. exclusively Kaye Spain was still. speaking in Marvel Studios about playing. another role, which some believed to be. Kitty Pride, aka Shadowcat. Charles. Melton was rumored to be in the running. for Hank McCoy Beast, but last week it. was reported that Melton would be taking. a role as Kakashi Hatake in Destinator. Cretton's upcoming Naruto movie. That. doesn't mean that he can't also play. Beast in the MCU. But will this X-Men. movie already introduce new actors as.

Wolverine or Magneto? I find it. interesting that Marvel Studios signal. that they knew fans were expecting. Magneto when Adam Driver was announced. as the villain Nathaniel Milbury aka. Sinister by having Adam Driver tease the. crowd this way. So, I'm very excited to. be playing the role of Magneto. >> Does this indicate that Marvel does. still plan to introduce Magneto as part. of this lineup played by just a. different actor announced sometime. later? For now, please pay no attention. to last week's aggregator that.

Lee Pace, Henry Caval, and Matt Smith. were in talks for Magneto. Accounts like. these are doing this really annoying. thing lately of tagging Deadline and the. Hollywood Reporter when those. professional trades never actually. reported what these aggregators were. claiming they reported. Please, whenever. you see these, double check the original. source and community note them to hell. We have to work together to bring down. these bullshitters. But I do think when. it comes to Magneto, they are going to. go with an actor in his 40s like those. three actors are. And they're going to. go with a really big name, maybe an. A-listister like Adam Driver whenever. they do announce their Magneto. So, I. just have a feeling that the remaining.

three to be announced are going to. include a kitty pride, a beast, and a. Magneto. Maybe a Bobby Drake somewhere. in that mix, maybe a Warren Worthington. somewhere in that mix. We'll see. So, Jean Gay's introduction in Spider-Man: Brand New Day as a mutant was done. without any particular trigger event. that was referenced. Brand New Day. implied that she and her sister just. kind of arose organically and naturally. in this universe, born the way they. were. That is in accordance with how. Stan Lee and Jack Kirby introduced the. mutants in the 1960s. Lee and Kirby were. just kind of creatively spent at having. to invent new superhero origin stories.

for all of their characters and just. wanted a new status to say that some. characters were just born with their. powers and that those powers begin to. manifest when they come of age and. reached puberty. That's how we got the. X-Men, a simple Xgene. So for this film. universe, the simplest route really. could just be that humanity has reached. a natural inflection point where our. species needs to evolve to adapt to this. more fantastical environment and that. 0.5% of the population was just born. with a dormant X gene that has begun to. manifest naturally in certain people. While in the comics and in the Fox X-Men.

film continuity and in the animated. X-Men '90s continuity, mutants began to. emerge on a wide scale in the 1960s, the. nuclear age children of the atom they. were sometimes considered. But before. that, there were some mutants that. predated the 20th century. In Sabahur, aka Apocalypse emerged in ancient Egypt, as we saw in this recent season of X-Men. 97, where the intervention of the. celestial Asan the Searcher elevated. Nur's mutant abilities. And certain. continuities imply that Amal Farooq was. born in the 16th century in Egypt before. gaining the status of the shadow king. Aazil has been implied to have origins.

in medieval times. And then, of course, our boy James Logan Howlet was born in. the 1880s in Canada's Northwest. Territories around Alberta. But with Gan. Gray emerging now along with her sister. Sarah Gray, Marvel Studios is telling us. that they're kind of shifting this era. of mutant emergence to be a bit later. around 60 to 70 years later because it. is currently 2028 in the MCU timeline. So in order for this all to work and. maintain Magneto's origin story with. World War II, we do need to accept the. simple rule that mutants just age. slower. Neyar indicated this was true.

for him in Black Panther Wakanda. forever. >> I was a [music] mutant. I could swim in the sky and age slower. [music]. >> Now, we could also further apply this. rule to say all mutants can fly, but I. don't think that's going to be the case. Storm can just fly because she can. manipulate the weather. Magneto can fly. because he can manipulate Earth's. magnetic fields around himself. Rogue. can fly because she absorbed Carol. Danver's powers and abilities. Will we. ever see Indie Navarretti with Brie. Larson sharing a scene like this? I. don't know. If Indie drains someone's. powers, I would rather it be Gaia. So,

let's start with Charles Xavier in the. MCU. Currently, we are to believe that. Charles, played by 40-year-old. Christopher Abbott, bald and in a. wheelchair, is living in his mansion in. Westchester, and that is where Gan Gray. was taking that bus up to at the end of. Spider-Man: Brand New Day. I did see. what looks like a chimney or some kind. of smoke stack or antenna up on the. right side of screen and all those. trees. But we're saying that this. version of Charles Xavier lived through. the same blip period, the threats of. Hydra, the Chitauri invasion, and all. the other Avengers level threats as all. other characters in this universe have. that this guy was watching Tony Stark.

reveal himself as Iron Man in a press. conference on TV. That this guy just sat. on the sidelines and watched the. Avengers go at each other on an airport. tarmac in Germany. I'm going to assume. that this Charles was still born in 1932. in New York City like he is in the. comics. And that again, he's just aging. slower. In this case, it would have to. be two to two and a half times slower. Hey, actually, maybe he was that kid in. Brooklyn that Steve Rogers saved from. the hydra operative. >> Go get him. Meanwhile, if this rule. applies to Magneto, a young Eric. Lyncher, or Max Eisenhart as he was. known, was a Jewish boy born in Germany. in 1928. World War II of course still. happened in the MCU continuity of Nazi. Germany in this history had this side. project with Johan Schmidt aka Red Skull. and all of Hydra. Though we would not. have seen Young Magneto in the events of.

Captain America the First Avenger, he. was sent to Ashvitz in Poland. Steve. Rogers, Bucky Barnes, and the Highland. Commandos were with the Allies on the. Western Front of the war, not the. Eastern Front. But after surviving. Ashvitz, Max aka Eric Lyncher would meet. Charles Xavier in the early 1960s, and. their relationship would unfold from. there. But we cannot move on from World. War II in the MCU history without also. now imagining that there was a James. Logan Howlet who served in that war. What's interesting about potential. Wolverine sightings in the MCU is in. Loki season 1 episode 4, there was a. location that we saw in the TVA ticker.

referring to locations in the sacred. timeline that mentioned Alberta, Canada. That could refer to James Howlet's past. in Canada as a date of importance to the. TVA. Why would they consider that. important? Well, in Deadpool and. Wolverine, we know that the TVA then. recognized Wolverine as the anchor being. of another timeline or universe, Earth. 10005. Maybe they're keeping their eyes. on the Wolverine of the sacred timeline. within Earth 616. But there are two ways. to consider Wolverine's snaked origin. story in the 616 history. One could be. the classic origin that after World War. II, the Weapons Plus program was trying.

to replicate the super soldier program. experiment after Steve Rogers with other. soldiers like we learned that they did. with Isaiah Bradley. And this would have. included this Canadian regenerative. mutant named James Howlett grafting. adamantium to a skeleton. However, in. Captain America: Brave New World, Marvel. execs indicated that the corpse of. Tiiamat being made of adamantium was the. quote unquote birthplace of adamantium. in the 616 universe. If adamantium. literally never existed before that. emergence, that would mean Wolverine. would not have gotten a surgery until. after the events of Eternals. I choose. to believe that there were other sources.

of adamantium as far back as the 1940s. man-made adamantium created accidentally. as an alloy of vibranium and steel and. that could have given us the Wolverine. that was referenced in the website. headline and She-Hulk Man with metal. claws fights in barbar. The fact that. Adam Driver is playing Nathaniel. Milbury, Mr. Sinister, tells us that. they're probably going to trace his. history back to 1880s England. It's. really the empowerment Nathaniel gets. from Apocalypse that makes him immune to. aging and disease. I'm just saying if. he's a guy old enough to use the alias. like Nathaniel Milbury, it implies that. he's been around for a very long time.

And the only way he could do that is if. there's an apocalypse in this universe. So that's why I think it's going to be. really important for the MCU to. establish mutant origins as far back as. Egypt, similar to what X-Men 97 did in. season 2. We're going to need to see how. the Celestials, in addition to. introducing the Eternals to ancient. Mesopotamia, created a genetic offshoot. of mutant kind in ancient Egypt. This is. why I think we need to see Maya Boyd. Storm's youth as a daughter of Kenyan. royalty growing up in Cairo like she. does in the comics. I think we need to. meet Amal Farooq. We need to hear the. name Insabanur. And if it isn't.

something Jake Shrier is making room for. in the 2028 X-Men film, then hopefully. Ryan Cougler could explore this in Black. Panther 3 coming later that year. I. think it's interesting that they cast. Samara Weaving as a slightly older Emma. Frost and the rest of the cast and imply. that she's already going to have her. tragic backstory with the Massachusetts. Institute and all the kids she lost. But. rather than it being timetraveling. sentinels who killed all of her. students, could it have just been the. events of the past decades blip that. disrupted those kids? I think the. hardest thing for fans to really fathom. is even if the X-Men were not yet. formally organized in the past decade of.

MCU history, say it was just Charles and. Eric debating constantly over games of. chess. Where were these guys during the. Battle of Earth in Avengers Endgame? Well, here's my pitch for how the 2028. X-Men movie could open or just a. flashback later in the movie or just. some kind of verbal reference they can. make in the film. What if Charles did. help the Avengers in the Battle of. Earth? We just didn't see the full. battle in that movie. It was a massive. battle, folks. The stuff that we did see. in that edit were just little. representative vignettes of things that. were happening in that battle. There was. a lot that logically would have had to.

have been left on the cutting room. floor. In the same way that several MCU. titles after 2012 have gone back to. revisit the battle of New York to show. us other characters origin stories like. Adrien Tombs in the opening scene of. Spider-Man Homecoming, the Avengers and. the time heist in Endgame, Kate Bishop. and Hawkeye. It's really not that hard. for Marvel Studios to reveal other. things were happening during the Battle. of Earth in Endgame. We already began to. see other characters point of views of. the moments they undusted from the blip. with Monica Rambo and Yolena Bova. We. learned in Secret Invasion that Nick. Fury organized the harvest with scrolls.

like Gravik to recover Avenger DNA from. the aftermath of that battle. I just. like the idea that Charles Xavier from. the window of his mansion in Westchester. County saw Thanos's ship on the horizon. bombarding Avengers compound a few miles. away and then he might have looked over. across the chessboard to his friend Eric. and said, "To me, my friend." And then. those two flew over there and kicked. Ebony Ma's ass while the other Avengers. were on the other side of a pile of. rubble trying to get the nano gauntlet. to the quantum tunnel. I mean, just. establish that Charles Xavier and Eric. Lyncher were veterans of the Battle of. Earth. And you can either show us that.

fight or talk about it. But either way, if you do that, everything in the Mutant. Saga is going to connect with the. Infinity Saga. And we can look back at. the moment when Wong said this. >> Is that everyone? Like you [music]. wanted more. >> and we would know we did have more. Brothers and say, "No, I want full. authorship of this movie so that you. don't own it so that I own it and that I. can re-release it in the future and make. all the money from it." Um, now Ryan. Cougler is a singular talent. I don't. know if he needed Marvel Studios, but. Marvel Studios gave him the platform and. the visibility to share his talents with. the world. And so I think having a.

machine like Marvel is only a net good. for this industry that we all love and. benefit from.
