Avengers Secret Wars. production is ramping up and now we're. learning more about this even crazier. cinematic event that comes after. Doomsday. Deadline is reporting that. Noah Jupe, the quiet brooding young. actor from A Quiet Place and A Quiet. Place II, and the upcoming A Quiet Place. III, and Hamnet, was cast in a secret. role for Avengers Secret Wars. Between. these A Quiet Place films and Hamnet, he. has already worked with one MCU Reed.

Richards and the Eternals director. So, a Marvel casting was inevitable. So, will he play an older Franklin Richards, another young face of the mutant saga, or both? Let's break down everything we. know and everything we are hearing about. Secret Wars. Deadline reported that Avengers Secret. Wars was going into production later. this year and that Noah Jupe is joining. the cast. The full report reads, "While. Marvel Studios still has a couple months. before it unveils Avengers Doomsday, the. next chapter already is looking to add. to its stacked cast. Sources tell. Deadline that Noah Jupe has been tapped. for a secret role in Avengers Secret. Wars, which is set to go into production. later this year. Marvel had no comment. on Jupe joining the cast. While unknown, the role is expected to play a key part. in the story of Secret Wars. Anthony and. Joe Russo are directing with Marvel. President Kevin Feige producing. The.

film is set to bow on December 17th, 2027." Noah Jupe you've seen in the. Quiet Place films as Marcus Abbott, the. son of the family, and of the very, very. sad Hamnet, and Ford vs. Ferrari. He is. exactly the type of young actor Marvel. Studios is seeking out for characters. like what we are seeing in the lineup of. mutants in 2028's X-Men. But, Jupe was. not announced for the X-Men, but rather. the movie coming sooner, Avengers Secret. Wars. And the speculation is that he is. playing a teenager or adult version of. Franklin Richards in that film. Franklin. Richards is normally depicted as blonde,

but starting in Dan Slott's Fantastic. Four run, he does dye his hair black to. look more like his father. And in later. runs, he ends up kind of using his. reality-warping powers to change his. hair color to whatever he wants it to. be. The young actor that they cast for. Franklin Richards in Fantastic Four: First Steps in the Fantastic Four: First. Steps post-credit scene and Avengers: Doomsday has blonde curls reminiscent of. his mother, Susan Storm. So, if Noah. Jupe is playing Franklin in Secret Wars, it would mean that there's some time. dilation or time jump in Battleworld. when we get there in Secret Wars where. young actors are now older. That's how. I've been thinking we're going to get. from Prince T'Challa being the kid.

played by Divine Love Konadu Sun in. Black Panther: Wakanda Forever to the. aged-up David Johnson in Black Panther 3. coming in 2028. And Noah Jupe has gone. from black curls in The Quiet Place. movies reminiscent of Pedro Pascal and. dyed blonde hair in Hamnet. So, the. actor can pull off either. Hilariously, some folks have looked at Noah Jupe's. Letterboxd account and claimed that he. has watched Fantastic Four: First Steps. three times. I don't know if that means. anything. I saw the movie five times, and I'm not playing the Beyonder in. Secret Wars. I obviously already played. Mole Man in the MCU. Now, the thing. about Franklin Richards is his mutant.

status is kind of up for debate. He. began being known as a mutant, even an. Omega-level mutant, but then in later. comics, that was kind of retconned as. just a reality-warping ability to. present as a mutant from the DNA level. We'll see how much Marvel Studios cares. about the distinction. I say any young. talented actor playing a character who. is born with their abilities is allowed. to be a mutant and is allowed entry into. Xavier's School for Gifted Youngsters. And that includes Kamala Khan. I want. all these cool young people with their. cool powers to take over the MCU and all. go to school together. But mutant or no,

it sounds like this Deadline report is. saying that Noah Jupe is playing someone. very important in Secret Wars, and. Franklin Richards is very important to. how these characters overcome God. Emperor Doom in Battleworld. He and. Doctor Strange are probably going to be. the ones working together to restore and. fix everything. But it's interesting. that this Deadline report is saying. Secret Wars is going into production. later this year. I mean, guys, it's. September. We only have so much later in. 2026 before productions all ramp things. down around the holidays. And think. about it, the Russo brothers, Robert. Downey Jr., and many of the actors who. will be in both Doomsday and Secret Wars.

are going to have to step away from any. Secret Wars production set and shift. back into the publicity circuit for. Doomsday by like December 1st at the. latest. So, I think pre-production for. Secret Wars is actually happening right. now. And I think principal production. will happen from October through. November. And I also think some of the. production for Secret Wars is happening. right now under the auspices of it being. reshoots or pickups for Doomsday. Because you probably saw the reports in. the past week that Jeremy Renner posted. a cryptic Instagram story hinting at. Hawkeye's return in something. Elizabeth.

Olsen's stunt double's also been posting. some stuff. And Daniel RPK claimed that. the Scarlet Witch will be returning in. Avengers Doomsday added during these. recent reshoots for whatever they are. But, I really think the production. happening in the UK right now could be. for either film. Particularly since we. expect the final sequence of Doomsday to. be the creation of Battleworld and its. early population of certain characters. in its various regions. If it's on those. sets, who knows if it's for the ending. of Doomsday or the beginning of Secret. Wars. The Russo brothers did this kind. of thing between Infinity War and.

Endgame, coming up with pre-vis for. things that was going to be part of the. end of Infinity War and then later. during production and post-production. shifting it over to Endgame. Now, when. it comes to the Battleworld of it all, a. reminder that the Russo brothers have. said about Battleworld to Joshua. Horowitz at San Diego Comic-Con this. >> We won't confirm or deny whether. Battleworld appears in either of these. films. Uh and we cannot confirm or deny. who appears in Battleworld if. Assuming. she's in Secret Wars, I have to wonder. if some of these other homegrown mutants. of the MCU will also appear in. Battleworld. Like Kit Connor Scott. Summers Cyclops, Maya Boyd as Ororo. Monroe Storm, and Indya Moore as Storm. Emma Dumont as Emma Frost. Christopher. Abbott as Professor X. Secret Wars is Benedict Cumberbatch as. Doctor Strange. In January 2025 Benedict. Cumberbatch freaked everyone out by. telling Variety that he would not be in. Avengers Dooms Day saying that his. character was not a line with this part. of the story, but he did say at the time. that Doctor Strange is in a lot of. Avengers Secret Wars saying quote he's. quite central to where things might go. But then a week later probably after a. frantic phone call from Kevin Feige, Cumberbatch told Business Insider that. Doctor Strange will also be in Dooms Day. first before Secret Wars. But for. whatever reason Marvel Studios has still. not confirmed Cumberbatch to be in Dooms.

Day. Though you can just look at the. concept art to show that it looks like. Doctor Strange might be the sheriff to. Doctor Doom because then Jonathan. Hickman Secret Wars the 616 Doctor. Strange does take Doctor Doom's side. Next confirmed for Secret Wars Paul. Bettany as Vision. In an interview with. the Daily Telegraph last December Paul. Bettany said quote I think I've got some. Avengers duties next year. And the only. Avengers movie that Bettany would be. shooting would be Secret Wars. And he. did indicate this in an interview with. Joshua Horowitz earlier this year. >> You have teased that. if not Dooms Day, perhaps Secret Wars.

World last year, an article from Esquire. included quotes from Anthony Mackie and. co-director of Doomsday and Secret Wars. Anthony Russo saying that Mackie's Sam. Wilson will appear in both of the next. two Avengers movies. Next, Florence Pugh. as Yelena Belova, but maybe not all of. the Thunderbolts. Remember at San Diego. Comic-Con 2024, Kevin Feige indicated.

that the Thunderbolts group would return. in Doomsday and Secret Wars. But he. didn't say everyone in the Thunderbolts. Similarly, Pedro Pascal as Reed. Richards, Vanessa Kirby as Sue Storm, Ebon Moss-Bachrach as Ben Grimm, and. Joseph Quinn as Johnny Storm, the. Fantastic Four. In the same breath as. saying the Thunderbolts would return in. both Doomsday and Secret Wars, Kevin. Feige in 2024 said the Fantastic Four. would also show up in both movies, but. again, maybe some of them might die or. respawn in Battleworld in some new. horrific forms. Shuri. Wright did confirm in an. interview with Screen Rant last December. that she finished shooting scenes for. Avengers Doomsday and that in 2026 she. would be shooting scenes for Secret. Wars. She said, "That's what I have to. film next, Secret Wars. But Doomsday, we. finished that and that was very great.". Next, Simu Liu as Shang-Chi. We know. he's going to be in Doomsday fighting. Gambit, but last year Liu told People. magazine that he would be in Secret Wars. as well saying, quote, "But I think the. more immediate tease is, of course, Doomsday. Yeah, which comes out next. year, which I was lucky to be a part of. and will be lucky enough to be a part of. its successor in Secret Wars." Next,

Mark Ruffalo as Hulk. After some rumors. that Mark Ruffalo had been fired by. Disney after some remarks the actor made. during Jimmy Kimmel's brief suspension. from ABC, Mark Ruffalo denied the rumors. saying he has a good relationship with. Disney and that he's still going to be. around for some other big Disney titles. currently being worked on, which of. course would exclude his work with Sony. for Spider-Man Brand New Day that came. out earlier this year. Hulk showed up in a Hulk village in that. concept art, I feel good that Ruffalo is. going to be in Secret Wars. Next, Chris. Hemsworth as Thor in the same junket. with Mark Ruffalo. Yeah, we're having a shot at one. >> Let's get into the question from. Deadpool and Wolverine of why Thor was. crying. I think we will get that answer. in Secret Wars, not in Doomsday. So you. kind of see where we're getting at here. This makes more sense for why Jeremy. Renner is now saying, "Hey, Hawkeye's. going to return, too." And if they get. five, you know they're going to get six. And don't be surprised if you see. Scarlett Johansson coming back as some. respawned version of Natasha Romanoff. But let's talk about some rumored. characters. David Johnson as T'Challa, rumored. I just think they need to. explain the aging issue and we're going.

to need to see the new T'Challa here in. Secret Wars. Ryan Gosling as Ghost. Rider, also rumored. And a new Nova. actor, also rumored. The reason I'm. strongly predicting some of these other. new X-Men along with Sadie Sink plus. David Johnson, Ryan Gosling, and the new. Nova actor is that Kevin Feige has been. very clear about Avengers Secret Wars. being a bridge to what comes after in. the MCU. Avengers Doomsday is the event. that ends all past Marvel storylines. Secret Wars is the birth of something. new. Here's what Kevin Feige told Empire. after Comic-Con. Secret Wars in. particular for Empire readers who know. the comics is a setup in and of itself.

to the future, to what's next. So really. it was landing those two movies and. setting up 2028, of which we've revealed. two of them so far, Ghost Rider and. Black Panther 3. By so far, he was. leaving room for X-Men which would be. announced 3 weeks after this at D23. So. I think all three of those movies are. going to be set up somehow by the events. of Secret Wars and I'm throwing Nova in. there because Feige confirmed to Brandon. Davis that Nova will be a movie in one. of the divisions of Battleworld is New. Xandar from a universe where Annihilus. won and I think that's where we could. get our new Nova in the MCU. So my.

Polyphemus's eye was like, "Oh, this is. upsetting in a very specific way, you. know?". >> Nolan feels like he's part of a new wave. of like big screen horror sensations. >> Like you know people use like elevated. Like you know, he's doing like elevated. body horror, you know? >> Ryan Ryan Coogler did Sinners on IMAX. and I feel like Nolan's only going to. want to shoot in IMAX for the next 10. years. So I'm thinking like he could do.

like a Sinners scale period horror film. or he could do like. maybe not IP. I don't think he's going. to move into IP. Um he wants to do his. own IP. So I'm not saying he's going to. do like Godzilla or King Kong or or like. a classic 1940s horror like a. Frankenstein because like it seems like. Blumhouse is doing their versions of a. lot of these things. Um but I do think we're going to see. some kind of like big scale cosmic. horror. Maybe he does like a. uh Lovecraft.
