Because if you keep attacking Canada. sovereignty, what if they shut off the. electricity? Really? You You don't think.

we need things from Canada and setting. aside what we need or whatever, you. don't think that Canada's been. shouldertosh shoulder with us through it. all? No. Jameson Greer. We all know a. Lutnik, like the they're predators. Canada wants to have free trade.

agreements with India and Europe. They're doubling down on globalization. Why would we let them do that? Because. they're a country, you idiot. They're a. country. They're sovereign. They entered. into a free trade agreement with the. United States called Koosma, Canadian, US, Mexico ripped to disrupt. So, you. don't think they can do business with. other countries without your permission? Jame Greer, you know, and it's just. fascinating to see this this guy Jameson.

Greer, like he could be eaten up and. chewed out and spit out by Leblanc and. by Prime Minister Carney. I mean, Jameson Greer is like a He's like a. gnat, right? They're their own country and if that's. what they want to do, that's fine. But. we want to make sure that North America. is protected. We want to make sure that. if something's coming in from Canada and. it's getting a great deal, uh, that it's. truly Canadian. Uh, so when they go to. to China and they say, "Listen, we're. going to let in Chinese autos and we're. going to invite Chinese auto investment. into Canada." That's inconsistent with. US trade policy. And again, if Canada. wants to do that, that's their right, but it doesn't mean that we have to go. along with it. >> Former US trade official on Canada and.

give some pretty clear signals uh that. they are changing their tune. They don't. seem to be in a mood to do that right. now. Uh but in order for Canada to uh. have any kind of a reasonable. conversation uh with the Americans uh. their theme has to change from. subjugation and domination uh to one of. common sense business crossber. relationships. Uh we are a very good. ally partner and friend uh as well as.

trading associate with uh uh with the. United States. We're a good customer. uh. we're uh we're a good supplier. Uh we've. got a track record that is uh that is. really quite uh exceptional. Uh and they. don't seem to be interested in having a. good business relationship. uh it's this. it's this constant flow of invective uh. and uh the uh uh the notion that somehow. we have to be subservient to them that.

has to change in order for Canada to. have a credible conversation with a. decent interlocator on the other side. Now, I found this specifically salient. and this is what I talk about a lot as. you know on the Midas Touch network that. the way Donald Trump views Canada is how. Putin views Ukraine. It's the same. language. It's the very same kind of. tactics also. You know, whether it's, you know, dennazification or Donald. Trump, you are causing all this fentinol.

to go through the board. I mean, it's. deranged, but Trump repeats it over and. over and over again. They No one's. treated us so unfairly, and Trump. creates a whole fake history in his own. deranged, demented mind. Professor Maria. Papova, I think, puts it apt here. Play. this clip. You're the first one to point. out, but you would know better. I mean. the kind of language that Donald Trump. uses on Canada saying it's an artificial. border kind of suggesting it's not a. real country 51st state that kind of. language was similar to the language is.

similar to the language that Vladimir. Putin has used to describe Ukraine right. >> it is indeed very similar and there's a. lot of other similarities the idea that. um Canada or Ukraine cannot exist. without the bigger country. Uh the. attempt, this is something new for us in. Canada, but Ukrainians have dealt with. this for a very long time. Uh this. suggestion that uh the official language.

um in in our case French or in Ukraine's. case Ukrainian uh should somehow not be. promoted uh because the bigger country. Russia or the US objects to this. It's. not in their uh best interest. they. would like us to have some other. different language policies. This is. another parallel which is uh very. concerning uh to us in Canada and the. Ukrainians have dealt with this for a.

very long time from uh from even before. um Russia's pressure on Ukraine. escalated to a war. Which is why when. Prime Minister Carney was just uh in. Ukraine speaking with or when he was. speaking with Zalinsky rather recently. and Zalinsky was there um I I I think. that the. words that Carney is saying here knowing. that in the back of Carney's mind the. way Trump treats Canada is how Putin.

views Ukraine. It makes the words, I. think, take on a little bit of extra. meaning about the solidarity. by Canada and by Ukraine. And I also. think it's informative and important. in Prime Minister Carney's view of. Canada leading the coalition of mid. powers to build the superpower. One of. the main reasons he's going to Europe at. the European State of the Union. Watch. what he said at this speech that he just.

gave. Look, I I I can't look deeply into the. souls of other people and see their. emotions. This isn't a question of. emotion. It's a question of sovereignty. for Canada, our rights uh to not just. protect but to promote uh our official. languages, our culture. Uh there are. there are fundamental issues. There were. issues uh in terms of where the. negotiations got to on the commercial. side. We've been very clear about what. those are. Um and uh Canada is always. ready uh to strike a fair uh a fair.

deal. Uh we believe there's a mutually. beneficial uh deal for Canada and the. United States. Um and uh our team myself. are ready.
