🚨 Trump is SCARED and wants THIS GONE NOW!!!!
So, when none of the top lawyers or top. people in the legal field want to work. for the Trump regime because of the. horrible behavior they've engaged in, where the Trump regime keeps on losing. in front of district court judges, they. try to get bailed out, of course, by the. Supreme Court. And while the Trump. regime loves to attack federal judges. and as Donald Trump blames this judge. and that judge even if he appointed him. for the decisions, what would you do if. you're the Trump regime and you want to.
just really destroy the rule of law? Just destroy like law schools being. accredited in an organized way. And so. the Trump regime has set its sights on. destroying the American Bar Association. And we've talked about this before on. the Midas Touch Network that the Trump. regime's like the ABA is a radical. extremist arm that's out there engaged. in all this woke behavior. And it's like.
the ABA, the the American Bar. Association. I've never heard of anybody. refer to the ABA as a law professor, by. the way, as some like woke liberal. haven. I never even knew the political. makeup of people who were part of the. ABA. It's a pretty boring but necessary. entity that would do things in terms of. accrediting law schools. And you would. say, "Okay, that's an ABA accredited law. school. That's not an accredited law.
school." You know, kind of like when you. go into a restaurant and you see on the. window that it's an A or it's a D or. it's failed an inspection. You know, they perform tasks like that. They help. promulgate model rules of professional. conduct and behavior. They promulgate. um model rules um regarding various. areas of law. But the Trump regime wants. to destroy the ABA by utilizing.
Department of Education funding to. schools. And so the Department of. Education funding and financing for. student loans and other kind of. financing for law schools in general. requires accreditation by the ABA. So. the federal government would normally. kind of link up with the uh ABA uh in. order to determine okay is this a school.
that we will one allow the department of. education to provide loans and grants to. and also can students at various law. schools take out loans or get financial. aid or apply for grants to the federal. government. The ABA was basically the. entity that would do the accrediting and. the federal government department of. education through their regs would rely. on that and there was great cooperation.
like what I described not really kind of. a controversial area where you would go. oh my god the ABA so what's going on. here well the ABA has been vocal not. about being anti-Trump for the sake of. being anti-Trump they've stood up. somewhat, I guess, for federal judges. who are under attack by the Trump regime. against litigation tactics and behavior. by the DOJ and Trump, which is abhorrent.
on an objective level to the way the. practice of law is supposed to happen to. which the Trump regime is like, ah, the. woke radical extremist ABA. So, here's. where we're at right now. The education. department of the Trump regime has until. late December to make a decision. They've already recommended denying the. ABA's renewed recognition after finding. it out of compliance with more than 26.
federal criteria, which is just the. Trump regime applying their kangaroo. court dynamic over there. If the ABA. loses its perch, as even state regime. media is reporting, Fox legal. education's experts say it would. accelerate a growing movement among. states to create alternative. accreditation accreditation pathways, potentially opening the door to shorter, cheaper law school programs that break. from the ABA's traditional three-year.
model. For example, the University of. Austin is developing a law school that. would operate without ABA accreditation, exploring a two-year degree with. tuitionfree enrollment in courses taught. by practicing attorneys and federal. judges instead of the extensive. full-time faculty the ABA currently. requires. I want to bring in Harry. Litman from the Talking Feds YouTube. channel, Substack, and Podcast. No, Harry, I don't want to act like I'm some.
cheerleader for the ABA that I wake up. and go, "Ah, the ABA is perfect or I. love the it's got to be three years.". But I am somebody who wakes up and. stands up for order, for rules, for the. rule of law. And my view is the Trump. regime wants to destroy the legal. profession generally. They don't want to. rebuild programs that are actually going. to be better. They want to do what they.
do with everything. Rip it down, tear it. to shreds, create a vacuum. don't. actually fill the vacuum with a. architecture. mature that can deal with issues and. then create chaos in the profession. where you start to have Katie Zacharias. and you know all of these people who. shouldn't have licenses to practice law. now out there. degrading the practice. I want to get. your take on this.
>> Yeah, what you just say is really well. put. So the ABA Yeah. I'm also not their. biggest uh cheerleader. Um and but it's. ironic that they're considered in the. Trump White House a, you know, terrible. woke organization. In my experience, they're actually very sort of stodgy and. protective of the the the finer kind of. ethics of the profession, but there is a. you know a certain gray suit aspect of. it that just you know completely. undermines why what Trump is saying.
They are for like you are for like. talking feds is for the rule of law. certainly and they stand up for that and. that means uh they are against Trump in. so many ways but the the uh effort here. that the administrator is thinking it is. a body blow make no mistake. So somebody. has to play the role but that is the ABA. that plays the role really is a. grandizing of the ABA. they decide you. you know you teach uh at fine law.
schools etc. But you go down the ranks a. little and there's a cut off point. between uh law schools that are. accredited and those that are not. accredited don't have that blessing from. the ABA and it's a huge kind of you. could say you know quality control. mechanism in the profession because. especially at these lower ranked law. schools where people are sort of going.
the for the first time in their in their. family, it's their generation and the. like. Um the you got to be able to have. access to federal loans, PEL grants and. the like. And that means you need to be. accredited. So in that sense, the ABA. really does stand as the gatekeeper to a. certain level of quality in the. profession. And unless you want to say. along with Katie Zachariah, anything. goes, if you are trying to protect.
certain basic uh standards of not just. of knowledge but of comportment and. professionalism, the things we've seen. the Department of Justice abandon. You. need somebody like the ABA. And who. would it be other than the ABA? They're. a whole national effort. They do the. same thing, by the way. and also to the. chagrin uh for a long time of. Republicans where judges are concerned. They rank judges and I think they gave.
maybe Bourke, you know, a qualified. instead of wellqualified and that put. them uh with on the war on the war path. the Republican administrations and. they've been controversial here. But. look, by and large, they are. professionally minded organization. I. have been in schools when the ABA comes. time to do its five-year review and it. is some serious stuff. They go to your. classes, they go through everything, they want to know there are certain uh.
minimal level of quality. Now, the. effort of of places like University of. Austin to sort of have more um. untraditional models of law school, I. think that's fine. The ABA may think. it's fine. And if they don't, maybe it's. an argument for them loosening up a. little around the joints. But this is. just an effort to just shoot them. through the heart because the people in. the White House perceive that there are,
you know, um, woke uh, forces who don't. like Trump. And look, legal forces don't. like Trump. I don't like Trump. You. don't like Trump because of the complete. uh, assault on the rule of law. So, whoever would play this role, and. somebody has to, unless you're going to. have a free-for-all and wind up having. no regulation of attorneys, no way for. consumers to know who's good or bad, nothing to to go on, unless you're going. to do something like this, you need an. organization like the ABA, and there's.
really no showing that the ABA is uh. somehow, you know, could be improved on. by another national organization. There. aren't many who could step in. So this. is really, as so often the case, an. illthought through, shortsighted, you. know, they try to uh stab him in the. heart uh in December. And then what? And. what about uh consumers of legal. services? What about people wanting to. get loans and how that whole system will.
work? Things would really collapse um. without them. And you know, as you said. at the beginning, as I said, maybe there. are things to try to reform. They're a. bonafide organization doing not just. bonafide, but necessary work. And as you. say, the effort here would thoughtlessly. leave just a huge vacuum in the. profession. Imagine if it were the case, say, with doctors and you didn't know. whether that, you know, they'd pass. certain boards or whatever, and you were.
rolling the dice on your brain surgeon, right? you need some professional. controls. They do a pretty good job of. it. And the effort to basically. decapitate them is just the the sort of. smallminded. uh wrinkling of uh Trump as it always is. rather than any actual perceived need of. uh ways the ABA system could be. improved. >> Right? The United States created. meticulous architecture that we took for.
granted here at home and also abroad. with certain international systems as. well. And the United States then ripped. the architecture apart and under the. Trump regime and then doesn't have a. plan to to fix it, right? And so. ultimately, if you're going to rip away. Obamacare and the Affordable Care Act, for example, what's your alternative. plan that allows uh 30 million Americans. who relied on it, who didn't have health.
care before to keep their health care. and not uh be blocked from seeing. doctors right now and and and be in a. desperate situation that they needed. with the subsidies. We can have a fair. conversation about, well, why is it. still expensive? Should you have certain. more access to doctors? All fair. conversations, but we should be. improving. And if you're going to rip. something to shreds, well, then have a. replacement that's actually better. And. then you know over here just another.
example if you're going to destroy the. ABA okay I mean so do you have a better. system that will that can be applied um. fairly across the country that we can. ensure that we have law students and. lawyers at a certain caliber um and if. you have a better way of doing it tell. me what that is but they never do they. have. >> Yeah. See, it's such a good point, important point, Ben. They are bereft of. ideas. What they want to do here, it's.
not even we want to somehow improve the. system. It's the Trumpian uh motivation. par excalons. We want to screw these. guys cuz we don't like them. With no. thought at all about what ensues, you. you explode the big hole in the ground. and then you walk away and leave it for. the next guy. That's cuz they're not. it's not even there are well-intentioned. people who object to the ABA and would. have a whole different system. That's a. little bit what's going on in the.
University of Austin. It is not what's. going on with this administration which. you know the whole uh so many. departments could just be replaced with. department of recrimination. And that's, you know, how can we really stick, you. know, stick it to them and empower. Donald Trump at an individual level and. the mess we leave behind? Well, that's. for somebody else to think about. >> And this we talk about in WTF America. I'll plug it right now. Make sure you. get it in hard coverver and ebook. because. >> when's that one coming out, Ben?
>> It's out right now. WTF [screaming]. America. >> WTF America is out, you fed heads. Okay, >> that's the reaction. That's the That's. the That's the reaction I need right. there. Um but look, deals are difficult. Uh they require compromise. You have to. give. It's messy. You know, it's slow. It's boring. No, nobody likes rules. That's hard. You know, it's it's hard. It's easy for me to be against something. and destroy it and rip it apart. And. just so much of what we see with all of.
the stuff that Trump is doing is there's. just destruction and nihilism and then. no buildback and no anything. And so. you're just left with the sham and then. it's the blame. He did it. He did it. He. did it. He did it. And that's one of the. things that we call out here. It's what. you call out on talking feds to the fed. heads. Get your copy of WTF America. Here's the message to the feds.
