Trump gets RUDE AWAKENING as Voters TURN AGAINST HIM in TN!!!
Will Ruby red Tennessee turn blue? People in Tennessee are absolutely. pissed at the Trump regime, whether it. is farmageddon, farmers suffering in. Tennessee, whether it is health care. being ripped away from people in. Tennessee, whether it is construction. and manufacturing and real estate. reeling in Tennessee, people are. demanding change and there is a. important congressional special election.
taking place on December 2nd and. Democrats are eyeing this congressional. district to flip a very very ruby red. safe Republican seat into the Democratic. column. You have a state representative. by the name of Aftyn Bain. She is. running against a MAGA Republican. candidate by the name of Matt Van Eps. and there was a former MAGA Republican. congressman by the name of Mark Green.
who's leaving that seat. That seat. previously was double digits in voting. for Donald Trump, but Democrats think. that they can flip this seat, especially. based on what they saw during the. Tuesday elections earlier this month. where there was that blue tsunami. Let's. talk about what's going on in Tennessee. because there they've got a farmageddon. taking place. Farmers are getting. screwed by Donald Trump's tariffs. against the world and the higher input.
costs. You have health care being ripped. away from so many people in Tennessee, construction, manufacturing, real estate. are reeling, rural hospitals are. suffering. Tennessee is like last when. it comes to mortality rates, when it. comes to education, when it comes to. critical categories of people's health. and wellness and overall safety. Let's. go through what's going down. This can. be a big flip. So, Tennessee farmers are.
facing a farmageddon. Don't just take my. word for it. Let's listen. Let's listen. to what the Tennessee farmers are. saying. Play this clip. Joe Jennings is. CEO and founder of Tilly, a. Memphis-based agricultural company that. helps farmers with business management. He has a term for what farmers are. seeing. This is. probably as bad as we we've seen it in. well over a decade. And. we've termed this farmageddon because. it's really the perfect storm. A storm.
he says was brought on by the impact of. tariffs at the same time as production. costs increases. Production, for. example, here in the mid-South it costs. over $1,000 an acre for a rice producers. in Arkansas and. cotton producers in Mississippi, for. example. $800, $900 an acre for corn and $600 for. soybeans. So, that's a good bit of money. that. that that that they have to invest to. grow crops. And with current market prices, they're.
all under water. He says farmers are. losing anywhere from $100 to $300 per. acre. At the same time, they're taking. hits on equipment prices. Add in yields. lost to floods earlier this year and. just trouble with financing, farmers are. in deep. Representative Hardaway fears. this is only the first round. That. double whammy is going to have a lot of. farms go belly up. >> And in Donald Trump's America, in. Trump's Tennessee, we have food pantries.
that are being so over utilized because. people in this country are now starving. to death that they can't even replenish. the food in time. This is what's going. on in Tennessee. Here, play this clip. Second Harvest of East Tennessee is. working to fill the gap left by SNAP and. feed East Tennessee families. And today, Governor Bill Lee has announced the. state will give $5 million in emergency. funding to food banks statewide. Chief. Marketing Officer Michael Toronto says. that every dollar counts, but the.
organization needs more dollars to feed. everyone. Well, the state of Tennessee's. SNAP for our 18 counties that we serve. says that it costs $24 million a month. to fully fund SNAP in our 18 counties. There are 95 in the state of Tennessee. We serve 18 of them. The money donated. by the state will be split between the. five distribution centers covering all. 95 counties in Tennessee. This this. current situation is going to take a lot. more than that to meet the immediate.
demands of all the SNAP recipients that. don't have anything on their cards. It's. very helpful, but we need more. The. boxes behind me are marked for mobile. pantry distribution and they're filled. with everyday items like this, peanut. butter. But, in 2 days' time, all of these boxes. from top. down to the bottom, they will all be shipped out and Second. Harvest will need to move new boxes into. these spots. Canned meats cost us more. than peanut butter to go on our shelves.
and we get a lot of peanut butter, fortunately, because the community steps. up a lot. Please don't stop sending us. peanut butter. We definitely need that. But, if we had to pick between A or B, I'd say we need some canned meats. So, now back to what I was talking about at. the beginning. You have state. representative Aftyn Bain. She's running. against MAGA Republican candidate Matt. Van Eps. How MAGA is this Van Eps guy? He's like an AI MAGA robot manifested as.
a real human being. Believe it. This guy. is I support Donald Trump. What does. Donald Trump tell me to do? I do it. Like a almost like a character of of. himself. Play this clip of Matt Van Eps. Play this clip. Mr. President, when I. get to Congress, I will have your back. 100% and I'm honored to be endorsed by. our commander-in-chief, President Donald. J. Trump. And by the way, Matt Van Eps'. ex-wife, Beth Ann, she's talking to. friends on Facebook and she's like, "No. worries, girl. Trust me. The receipts I.
have on her ex-husband, I just can't. believe a single person can fall for all. of his political He's a robot. who does nothing but repeat Fox News. rhetoric." And speaking about that, he. was recently asked on a local media. channel if he would release the Epstein. files or how he would vote. He couldn't. answer the question as a simple yes or. no. Here, play this clip. Do you support. the full release of the Epstein files?
So, I think the the speaker has a a. great plan. I I support the speaker's. plan and this I'm for full transparency. Um the speaker has empowered. the the oversight committee with now. with subpoena power and is taking a. deliberate approach so that um so that. justice um is had and so that the. victims are supported and Republicans. are taking a a very deliberate approach. here um because they want to get it out. >> who want it released. President Trump. has said there's nothing to see here. Do.
you agree there's nothing to see? Well, I I think the speaker and the president. have have said that they are supportive. of full transparency in this and and. that's my position as well. Then should. they be released? How I guess the full. transparency thing certainly Democrats. would say that's not the case. Even some. Republicans would say it's not full. transparency. So, what why not just. release the files? What what is the. concern? Well, I I think that's I think. Republicans are taking that approach. I. think the speaker has that plan and.
through the oversight committee is is. doing very deliberate investigative work. that's not performative politics. That's. actually trying to to solve this issue. Are you concerned that they were. tampered with in some way? I guess the deliberative work that's. being done by the speaker is is. trying to do what? I mean, the files are. there. Why not just release them? I think it's a they're taking a that. deliberate approach with the subpoena. power so that they can fully investigate.
um. in in into into the situation and hold. those accountable that need to be held. accountable for the heinous crimes that. happened. You do hope that at some point. it will just be released. I'm I'm for. full transparency. So, who is he running. against? Who's the Democratic. challenger? A very popular state. representative by the name of Aftyn. Bain. She's been running incredible. commercials. I just want you to be. introduced to her. Watch this incredible.
ad as she talks about how Washington is. giving billionaires an easy ride while. hard working Tennesseans are getting a. rough ride due to bad policies of Trump. and MAGA and they know it. Here, play. this clip. >> [music]. >> The Epstein files are locked away. I'm. Aftyn Bain. We all know the system is. rigged in Washington. Here's how it. works. >> [music]. >> Politicians make it easy for their rich. donors, tax cuts for billionaires and. burying [music] the Epstein files while. hard working Tennesseans get a rough.
ride by cutting health care for. Tennessee families, doubling health. insurance premiums and tariffs that. [music] hurt our economy. I'm Aftyn Bain and I approve this. message. Vote early to shake up. Washington. So, without further ado, let me bring in. representative Aftyn Bain. So, look, you. know, as I said at the outset, Tennessee, that 7th congressional. district has been gerrymandered in ways. that make it unrecognizable. It's a.
double. by design by the MAGA Republicans, it. was a double digit Trump area. So, how. how you going to flip it? How you going. to do it? >> Well, it's what on the heels of what. successful Democrats did last Tuesday is. make this about the affordability crisis. that Tennessee is experiencing. Washington is making our affordability. crisis worse and working families in. Tennessee are getting crushed. everywhere. Utility bills, housing, groceries, everything is going up and the.
Republican Washington Republicans do not. have the solution to fix it. And so for. me, I decided to jump in this race after. the passage of the big ugly bill. It was. a breaking point because it codified the. greatest transfer. of wealth in American history and I'm. running because Tennessee deserves. someone who will stand up for working. people not corporate donors. You know, Matt Van Eps who you're running against, you know, he's running the the normal. mega playbook where I culture wars, wokity woke, pee pee poopy bathrooms, we.
should care about bathrooms. This he's a. pioneer of urinals and and pooping. apparently wants us to focus on that. Like do the people of Tennessee realize. that that crap is like literally just a. way to like divide the people while they. destroy the livelihoods of people or is. this. like does this stuff still work or mean. like where where are people on this cuz. he's running that playbook. >> Yeah, I think the I think it's cracking. I do think there's a rupture. We're. seeing. you know, I routinely go on conservative talk.
radio and I've been saying this from the. beginning especially around the. the rhetoric about immigration is that. immigrants are not the reason your. grocery prices are high. Period end of. statement. I've been saying that with my. whole chest and I think the scapegoating. I think people are realizing that. there's nothing behind it and it's a. distraction to force us to scapegoat. each other rather than focusing on the. real issue which is that the federal and. state administration in Tennessee have. not delivered an economic agenda that.
has addressed the cost crisis in. Tennessee. You know, I'll be very clear. This next thing I'm going to show is not. yours. I just I enjoyed watching this. because I think it summed up Matt Van. Eps about covering up the Epstein files. and just a hedge fund puppet for the. billionaires. This one this one made me. laugh so I'm I'm I'm going to play it. To be clear, this not this one's not. yours. Here play this clip. The [music] Epstein files are locked. away. Matt Van Eps will keep them that. way. Just a hedge fund puppet for the. billionaire [music].
elites. Backed road by their Wall Street cash, he'll give them tax cuts in a flash. [music] Supports a plan that would cut. our social security. Matt Van Eps the. hedge fund puppet [music] can't trust a. word he'll say. If we're want to clean. up Washington, we best [music] keep Matt. Van Eps away. Your community pack is responsible for. the content of this advertising. I mean. look, the dude is literally right out of. central casting. Like if you were to. generate an AI and be like I don't even.
know if Matt Van Eps is a real human. being. He's kind of like the AI cookie. cutter mega Trump yes man person, you. know, like that's what it looks like to. me. >> Yeah, I mean it's clear I on the. campaign trail I've said that he is. he he answers to the puppet masters and. I answer to the people and so clearly. the stick landed and I I hadn't seen the. full commercial so that's why I was. giggling a bit. You know, I want to show. this though because you've been an. activist your whole life and you've been.
just before you decided to ever run. I. mean you've been leading with passion, you've been leading, you know, I I. remember there was a a situation where. like your Republican speaker, former. Republican speaker who was then was also. pardoned by Donald Trump, you know, was. endorsing another mega candidate in your. state rep house, you know, who was who. who. was a. talked about being with underage girls. and he was with underage girls and.
sexually it was a whole thing there. going on and let me just remind people. what went down and and I'm not going to. play the full clip but we'll we'll play. some of it. Let's play it. >> [music]. [music]. [music]. [music].
>> So what was going on there? Yeah, so we. had a state legislator who had sexually. assaulted underage girls as a basketball. coach. and I along with his victims ran a. campaign to force his resignation in the. state legislature and it culminated in. that moment when our corrupt speaker of. the house who had been indicted on. federal corruption charges. I was it was the last day of session and. I couldn't leave without you know, one. final nail in the coffin and so I think.
that's the level of tenacity that I will. bring to Washington in standing up for. victims and survivors which is why I've. called on to release the I'll be one of. the signatures on the discharge petition. to release the Epstein files and my. opponent has equivocated on that answer. every time he's been asked. >> if you think about what a great state. Tennessee is and all of the. possibilities and the culture. it just feels like when you when you. look at Tennessee and a lot of the. national statistics whether it's.
mortality rates and health and education. and all of these things you know, you'd. you'd expect it to be much higher. and it just feels that you know, it's. it's being run like like a mega land and. they had their opportunity to run like. like they they had their chance like. they. they ran it they controlled it with a. with an iron fist and the outcome just. objectively. not as a political thing like just.
objectively seems like bad outcomes and. they can try to attack all these you. know, blame like as you said immigrants. and this and that but like at some point. you know, it's it just doesn't seem to. be working like and that to me should. transcend. politics and so talk to us about that. and I'm also just hearing and seeing a. lot of independents you know, are. gravitating to your campaign. Yeah, well. first I just I want to say thank you for.
recognizing that Tennessee is a. beautiful place and there are people. that are trying to do good work here. We. have some of the best organizers in the. country because we have to operate under. incredibly oppressive circumstances and. I think my biggest pet peeve in politics. is when people who don't live in the. south say you get what you voted for. because this is not what I voted for. I. didn't vote for the highest maternal. mortality rate in the country. I didn't. vote for the most dangerous place for. workers in the country. I didn't vote. for the highest inflationary cost of.
groceries in the country. but that is what 15 years of Republican. supermajority rule of the state has. done. Tennessee has been bought and sold to. the highest bidder and those are. multinational corporations and the. billionaire boys club. There are no checks and balances and. what we are seeing right now is a. rupture in their paradigm because they. have ruled as you said with an iron fist. and have squelched dissent and. dissonance and I think they're seeing. the. now we're seeing the kind of rumblings.
the simmering of perhaps a different. paradigm. One is one of which is. you know, economic populism and ensuring. that the real villains are painted as. the billionaire boys club and these. greedy corporations that are make that. are pitting us against each other. as we fight and not delivering for the. Tennessee people. So after this special. election is on December 2nd, right? You. have to put up the early voting. It's. what that November 12th to 16th window. right right there. I'm saying it.
accurate. Where where can people find. out more about the campaign? What do you. want people to know to our 6 million. subscribers out there? Yeah, thanks. thanks again for having me. I'm a big. fan. I would say first time long time. listener first time caller. But a little bit about the district so. it is an R plus 20 district but as you. alluded to in the beginning Nashville. had a consolidated Democratic district. and they cut it into three and they got. a little greedy which is why this. district is competitive now. We've seen. Democrats over performing in districts.
like this 16 18 points. Our poll in. mid-October showed us about six points. down. A poll released this week shows us. four points down and that gap is. shrinking every day. The independents that are coming to our. campaign are are disillusioned with the. chaos and the cost of of living and we. have said from the beginning that we are. building a coalition of those that are. pissed off at what's going on. and the antidote is not sending someone.
from the same mess to go fix it. It's. sending someone who has stood up against. the status quo and someone who will. fight for the people of Tennessee and. not for corporate donors. Early voting. started yesterday. It lasts until. November 26th so this will be a. Thanksgiving endeavor and the election. is December 2nd. It's the last. congressional special election in the. entire country. The last flippable red. to blue district in the entire country. and for your listeners this race is. increasingly important. One, if we do.
well and we flip it, it will dramatically transform the map. in favor of candidates that are talking. about affordability. and for the Democratic party. However. you believe it's it's. the map shifts in favor of non-mega. candidates next year. Two is that you have to start investing. in states like Tennessee because. Tennessee is ground zero for. the worst of the worst. We have been. living under product 2025 for 15 years.
I can tell you it's suffocating and it's. not fun. and so what is happening here is coming. to your doorstep next if you don't start. investing in candidates like me and. campaigns like this in a state like. this. So I'm just incredibly grateful to. be the Democratic nominee and to be. representing Tennessee on the national. stage. I come from you know, the. organizing I've been in movement work. for the past 10 years trying to take. back our state and I'm just incredibly. grateful for to be on your show today. Website people can go if they want to. find out more? www Well, I guess you.
don't have to say that, but after for. congress.com. My name comes from a poem people have. been asking. I know it's weird, but I. guess it sticks out. But after for. congress.com. We have phone banking opportunities. You. know, please give as you are able. We're. up on TV with the commercial that you. were able to see. We just heard that the. Republicans are now getting more. involved and they're going to spend. probably another million dollars and. that they didn't want to cuz we're. pulling them down for this fight and I'm.
