🚨Trump Finally CORNERED over MISSING FINANCIALS…
Donald Trump is essentially saying there. are no documents that the Kennedy Center. board has what it made its decisions to. shut down and Donald Trump's been. talking about demolishing the Kennedy. Center. There was a lawsuit filed to. block Donald Trump from putting his name. on the Kennedy Center and then after. Donald Trump lost that he wanted to name. the pavilion and then engrave his name. in the Kennes Kennedy Center and he lost. there. Then he's like, "If I can't put.
my name on it, I'm going to demolish the. building and I'm going to close it down. for two years." And Judge Cooper, a. federal judge, is like, "You can't do. that. You You're just making You're. probably breaching your fiduciary duties. in order to just do whatever Donald. Trump wants and you're not presenting. any evidence that your decision to shut. this building down or try to demolish it. that it's based on any facts and. evidence. I mean, as we all know, the. Kennedy Center was actually doing good. before the Trump regime. And when Donald. Trump politicized the board, that's when.
you started to see artistic acts leave. That's when people didn't want to be. associated with it. It's actually. because of the Trump regime that it. started to struggle. But what the court. is saying is, look, this is a court of. law. And if the Trump regime, if Kennedy. centers board is making decisions. pursuant to their fiduciary obligations. as board members, then produce documents. and records that describe that you've.
exercised. an equivalent of like business judgment. or professional board fiduciary duty. judgment in this context. So the Trump. regime though was like, "We don't have. these documents. They don't exist." and. we can't turn him over. There's nothing. that we can produce at all. And so in. this case, Judge Cooper, the federal. judge presiding over this matter, said. the following. Recent finances also. implicate equities of lifting the. injunction. And while defendants may be.
correct that information confirming the. cent's financial peril could be used to. undercut plaintiff's opposition to. closure, the court will not attempt to. anticipate representatives arguments. They are hers to make, not the courts. As for the burden, the court highly. doubts that the center has operated. without core financial reporting over. the past year. Surely the center has. ready access to periodic income.
statements, balance sheets, cash flow. reports, and budget documents that. reflect actual financial performance. over fiscal year 2026. not just. projections. The center should be able. to gather these materials from existing. sources without having to query its. updated financial system for bespoke. reports. If that is not the case, standardized reports will do. So. although plaintiffs exhaustive requests.
may be undue are unduly broad given the. expedited timetable, the court hereby. orders defendants produce your fiscal. year 2026 financial statements of the. nature noted above sufficient to show. the cent's financial performance over. the condition for fiscal year 2026. defendants need not produce the cent's. full general ledger payroll reports or. all internal financial management. reports to the extent the produced. statements are unudited or unverified.
Defendants may indicate as such. And so. what the court's saying is I'm not. trying to substitute the court's view. about whether or not there should be a. closure of the Kennedy Center. I'll give. deference, but you have to show me that. the board exercised some modiccom of. judgment. Let's be clear. This is. different from destruction of the. Kennedy Center, which the court is not. allowing. This is different from Trump. engraving his name or putting his name.
into it, which the court is not. allowing. But look, if you think that. there's a certain amount of closure. that's needed to do legitimate repairs. and you want to show the court the. fiscal year documents that we would. expect to see, show me the documents and. just produce them and then we could at. least deal with that issue. I want to. bring in Harry Litman from the Talking. Feds YouTube channel, Substack and. Podcast because Harry, you know, the. Trump regime, they go on State Regime.
Media Fox and they go on state regime. media CBS and they say, "Look, the judge. wants to act like she's the arch or he's. the architect and the judge is saying. that they know better than us on how to. develop that." You know, it's like, "No, that's not what this is being said at. all. There's a lawsuit that was filed. A. preliminary injunction was granted on. different categories on the issue of. closing it for repairs. The court says, "I'm actually inclined. I may defer to. you on that, not destroying it. I may.
listen to you on that one, but show me. documents that say that this is what's. happening that I know that the money. that's going in is going to be used for. these purposes. Show it to me. Just show. me the documents." And time and time. again, Harry, in all of these cases, what do we see? Whether it's the most. egregious with Epstein files, whether. it's with discovery in cases that Trump. brings, whether it's with this, Trump. refuses to show documents or evidence or.
facts or ledgers or spreadsheets, things. that you and I and people who work in. nonprofits or run businesses, everybody. keeps these things and they don't. produce them. And they don't I don't. think they I think they may not even I. know they don't want to turn him over, Harry, but I'm not even sure based on. how incompetently and corrupt that they. even have it. I think they just wing a. lot of this stuff and just cover it up. And so here we are. Harry, what do you. make of it all? >> Yeah. So that's very possibly just. what's going on. They sort of vary.
between the dog ate it and uh oh, it. never existed. Remember this is Trump's. whole move which somehow the Department. of Justice has to translate into legal. terms. Trump is saying the whole thing. it's falling down. It's terrible. Uh. we've got to close it for two years. Oh, unless of course Judge Cooper's uh. ruling is overturned and the Supreme. Court of DC circuit says that it we can. put Donald Trump's name on it. uh then.
it'll be okay and we won't we won't have. to close it. It's always been the the. same playbook with him. What can he do. to somehow, you know, slather his name. on the the Kennedy Center, which, you. know, it always occurs to me that the. Kennedy Center cultural jewel, but also. the exact thing that Trump isn't. you. know, Kennedy is an embodiment of uh of. culture and uh respect and human values.
uh and the like, but I want to say I. know him, so you take it with a grain of. salt, but I think Cooper is really. putting on a clinic and how to handle. these guys cuz time and time again, you're right, he's he's um pushed back. to like a 75%. point from the start. remember when they. had to have he had an order. You've got. to have it up by midnight. They they. jerked around with all these things. And. really what they were trying to do was.
uh keep the public gathered there from. having the satisfaction of seeing. Trump's name taken away. So they just. were over by eight hours. There are some. judges who would have blown their stack. Cooper played it cool, gave him a few. more hours, and they did it within a few. more hours. And the same thing here, the. Trump's whole argument is I alone can. fix it. It's completely going to seed.
It's it's a complete mess. But he. doesn't want to to show that. And it. may, as you say, just be false. We've. got this is the fact of the matter that. doesn't show up in Cooper's opinions, but everybody knows it. It's the 900. pound gorilla in the room. We just have. a complete handpicked board who if Trump. wants to say uh that the Kennedy Center. is located in Kansas City, they'll say. it. And they've said they've backed his. claim uh and supposedly in the exercise.
of their professional judgment. They. have no professional judgment. They just. have Trump judgment, but they've said, "Oh, yes. It's uh we've seen this. report." Remember, he came forward and. said, "We've, you know, got a. powerpoints and 163page audit and you. can trust us." And, you know, you could. trust them if this worked the way it was. supposed to in government and you had. independent people and expertise, but uh. Trump has gone to great lengths. throughout the government to kick all.
those people out and just have yes men. and women there. So you can't trust him. Uh but except when really forced to it, Cooper in a sort of gentle way, he's not. saying, "Oh, you guys don't don't try to. pull it pull the wool over my eyes.". Even though of course everyone's. thinking and he's saying, "Let's just. see the figures." Come on. That it is. it's just got they now will have to come. back and and what are they going to do? Say literally the place operates with no.
financial information whatsoever. And. that, by the way, is the supposed new. professional model that we want uh the. Kennedy Center to follow. And whenever. they come forward, it always turns out. uh that when this happens that it the. documents that exist are contradict what. the Trump administration has to say. And. I'm just betting, but you know, not not. from any uh uh great predictive powers,
but just having seen it again and again, that the stuff they come forward will. not make the case that Trump has been. making in the public eye. Namely, the. whole thing is going to completely. collapse tomorrow and I alone can fix. it. So, it's the it's the perennial. problem, right? Trump says all kinds of. crap, any kind of crap. And then lawyers. have to go before judges under and. potentially penalty of perjury or rule. 11 and back it up somehow. And you know,
we've learned many more than one time. that there's just a big gap between what. Trump says and what the evidence will. show. And I and again, I'm just closing. by saying um Cooper is doing a. meticulous job at sort of unearthing. that uh gap. And when literally they. come forward with nothing with nothing, well then there's there's no uh they. have they have no argument to make.
against what the people on the other. side are saying, Joyce Batty and the. like. You know, they have literally just. just uh words without any any evidence. Uh-uh. That won't cut it for what. they're trying to do. Look, if you were. representing a defendant in this case, the process is very simple. You enter. into a protective order. If you think. there are confidential documents, >> you do that right away. You don't turn. over your ledgers until there's a.
protective order. Then you turn over the. documents. If you think that it's over. broad, then you go to the judge and you. say, "Hey, look, we're willing to turn. over this. It's an unusual ask. We're. not going to turn over every line item, but here you'll see the basic balance. sheet. And if you think you need more, we'll give you more. But here's where. we'll start. Then you submit uh, you. know, whether it's a motion to dismiss. or whatever your opposition to a. preliminary injunction. You would. request that certain portions be filed.
under seal. If it involves information. that's pursuant to the protective order, um, you do a declaration and you say, "I. am familiar with the books and records. He attached as exhibit A is a copy. It. shows this. It shows this. Here's what. it shows. Here's what it shows." And. then, you know, the court's not going to. then say, "I am the judge and I decree. that you will not do renovations to. this." That's not what the judge is. going to say. The judge.
>> That's not what this judge is going to. say. That's real feder other than. >> well no there are some judges now who've. had it up to here with Trump and they do. throw the book at them but you notice. what Cooper did just here. Cooper said. all right maybe they've asked for too. much. Cooper is building a very good. appellet record. So when it goes up to. the DC circuit, there won't be a way of. portraying what he's done as just going. for the other side at all ter at, you.
know, every juncture. And uh that's. going to make it harder for them to. scream emergency and try to say a stay. or whatever. >> Agree. Harry Litman runs the Talking. Feds YouTube channel.
