We need to see more of this massive. protests outside the Kennedy Center as. Donald Trump wants to destroy it. He's. demanding his name be engraved in it and. that the surrounding area be named to. honor him or else he's going to destroy. it. Well, the people were having it and. they showed up in a massive. demonstration. And our international. viewers are probably saying, "Finally.". I mean, do you see what's happening in.

Albania? 111 days of protest there. Did. you see what they did in Ireland? Trump. was there for 48 hours and the people. showed up in protest. I know a lot of. people are saying, "Look, yes, you did. the no kings protest, but how are you. letting this sicko lunatic authoritarian. destroy your nation, destroy the. reputation that was hard fought in the. United States? Do something, damn it.". So, it was great to see these protests. outside of the Kennedy Center. Let me.

Now, folks, this is coming as we got a. new court order from Federal Judge. Cooper. Federal Judge Cooper ordered. that Donald Trump's installed handpicked. stooges on the Kennedy Center board. They must provide 30 days notice before. any change at all can take place at the.

Kennedy Center, including the main. building's demolition or anything. material. And the judge said, "I don't. need any emergency hearing. That's my. order. If anything's going to be done, I'm demanding 30 days notice." The judge. also demanded a sworn declaration by the. Kennedy Center board's representative to. describe what's going on. Here's what. up an important point here. At a hearing. that just took place this past week as. well. Judge Cooper pressed the Trump. regime about their claims that they're. going to bring the Kennedy Center into. bankruptcy. Because if it's brought into. bankruptcy, well then it opens up a. trust and a bankruptcy process for the. asset to be seized away from the Trump. regime. He was then blocked from doing that and. his name had to be removed. So, he threw. up tarp over it. And then he said, "Okay, well, now I can't call it Trump. Kennedy Center, but I want to inscribe.

my name into it and say, "This is. brought to you by Trump Kennedy Center, even if I can't call the entire building. that." So, that's what I'm going to do. Then I'm going to call the pavilion the. Trump Kennedy Center pavilion because. you won't let me call but building it. So I'm going to call the whole area. that. And then I want to have my name. saying Donald Trump raised $100 million. So it's funny this federal judge, Judge. Cooper, who was appointed over a decade. ago. He's well respected judge in the.

district court. He was like, "Okay, you. didn't raise the money. So on the issue. of you raising that money, you this. isn't like one of your fake deal things. So it's premature there. You come back. and you show that you actually brought. in the money and it's in a bank account, then we can talk about that. But for. now, it's moot. But on your broader. point that now you need to engrave your. name into the building because you can't. call it Trump Kennedy Center. No, it's. called the Congress. Damn it. Judge. Cooper said, "Simply put, defendant.

Donald Trump cannot install memorials to. himself. or or to anybody else or to anything. without Congress's blessing." Dude, if. you want to do this, you control the. different branches of government right. now. Go to Congress. Let them give you. this honorific that you think you. deserve and let them do it. And if they. do it, you could engrave it, change the. name, do anything you want. I mean, within the bounds of the Constitution, but let Congress say you can do it. This. has never happened. So, Judge Cooper. blocked Trump's latest efforts to try to. this time inscribe his name in it as a. honorific dedication to himself. So, then Donald Trump lashed out and he. posted, "All right, I'm shutting it down.

then. I'm shutting it down." He said the. board of the Kennedy Center today, and. he posted this on Tuesday, almost. unanimously to close the the board of. the Kennedy Center today agreed almost. unanimously to close the building for. safety reasons and so that it can begin. the process of reconstruction. The. closing will take place immediately. However, the renovation and. reconstruction, which is a very large. and complex job, cannot begin until such. time as the DC circuit rules on the.

board's approved name. If the ruling is. a negative one, which it should not be. and is not overturned by the Supreme. Court, the reconstruction and renovation. of the Kennedy Center will not take. place. The attorneys from the DOJ will. ask for an expedited appeal. In the. meantime, $17 million raised by. President Trump has been put into the. Kennedy Center account to keep it. afloat. Thank you for your attention to. this matter, Donald J. Trump. It was a. float. It was fine. Not only was it. fine, it was a cultural, incredible,

iconic place that people loved in DC. It. was operating fine. Resisting this conclusion, says Cooper, the government plays word games, which. of course they do.
