Trump DOJ BLINDSIDED as LAWYERS starts LOSING LICENSES!!!!
We warned you. Donald Trump's Department. of Justice is panicking as its lawyers. are now facing disciplinary proceedings. Federal judges referring them to state. bar regulatory organizations, which. could result in these prosecutors losing. their ability to practice law for the. rest of their lives and perhaps even. worse. And it's not just any federal. judges. If you zoom in on what just went. down in Rhode Island, it was a. Trump-appointed judge, Judge Mary.
McElroy, for example, making a referral. to state bar. agencies there. And we're seeing this. actually take place across the country. where federal judges are saying, "We are. sick and tired of. this Trump DOJ lying to us so. blatantly." And while obviously the. Trump DOJ, where these lawyers are. practicing with, is part of what's. essentially become a RICO criminal.
enterprise, so we don't expect the DOJ. to take any action whatsoever against. the people who are complicit in what. Trump's DOJ is intentionally doing in. basically defrauding judges, these. federal judges are saying, "Well, even. Trump-appointed judges, one of the. powers that we have is that a federal. judge referral to a state bar agency. saying that this person should be. disciplined and have their license. revoked or other disciplinary actions be.
taken, that's very powerful. And if you. take away a lawyer's ability to practice. law, and that's what they do for a. living, and you strip them of their. livelihood, it's a very serious. punishment to be dolled out. Let's zoom. in on this case because this case where. the DOJ lied to the judge and where. these DOJ lawyers lied to the judge, it's horrific. And it was over an issue. involving very vulnerable children. And this is happening across the country.
right here, which I want to remind you. of as well. So, as Josh Gerstein. explains, Judge Mary McElroy, a. Trump-appointed judge from Rhode Island, refers this group of DOJ attorneys, not. just one, a group of DOJ attorneys, to. the court discipline committee over. handling of a fight over trans medical. care, gender-affirming care subpoenas to. a Rhode Island hospital. Earlier, she. agreed that the presumption of. regularity for government lawyers and.
for the DOJ no longer holds. I just want. to share with you the judge's words in. this case where. Trump DOJ issued subpoenas for a. purported criminal investigation. regarding gender-affirming care at this. Rhode Island hospital, and they did this. across the country. Tell us anyone that. you're aware of in your state who. received gender-affirming care, we want.
to know we want their medical files, we. want their records, we want everything. that we want to we want a database on. transgender people who received. gender-affirming care. So, hand it over. And so, this hospital said, "Mm, there's privacy issues there. We're. not going to give you all of our patient. information." But, the hospital said, "We'll work with you to try to negotiate. things that we can turn over that don't. violate HIPAA." And while there were.
negotiations taking place, what the DOJ was representing to the. federal judge. is that there was no negotiations taking. place and that. there was no problem with pursuing the. subpoena. They misrepresented what was. taking place with the Rhode Island. hospitals that were asserting objections. and going through a negotiated process. So, the federal judge was lied to and. led to believe that basically the.
hospital waived its objections and. wasn't participating. and thus the DOJ could pursue its. subpoenas. So, the DOJ was lying, engaged in the. subterfuge to get private medical. information on children and then. when the DOJ was worried that this Rhode. Island judge may not be favorable, they. then lied to the Rhode Island judge cuz. they did another proceeding in Texas. And they didn't tell the Rhode Island.
judge they did that and they didn't tell. the Texas judge that they were in front. of a Rhode Island judge and then. eventually all of this was discovered. and the Rhode Island judge like, "You've. just been lying to me about everything. to get your hands on medical records of. little children and of of children and. people children of all age and people of. all age and their medical records when. there was a process that could have. safeguarded medical privacy and. determine what the real issues, if any, were actually existing." So, let me just. share this with you which with the what.
a Trump appointed judge says. "The. United States Department of Justice. possesses immense prosecutorial. authority and discretion. As citizens, we trust that federal prosecutors, when. wielding this awesome power against a. state, a company, or certainly against. vulnerable children, will play fair and. be honest with its counterparts and the. judiciary. DOJ has proven unworthy of. this trust at every point in this case. It has misrepresented and withheld. information to both this court and the.
United States District Court for the. Northern District of Texas. It did so in. an obvious effort to shield its recent. investigative tactics previously. rejected by every other court to review. them from this court's review in favor. of a distant forum that the DOJ deems. friendly to its political positions. Its. representatives have under oath. misrepresented salient facts. It has. misled the parties with whom it was. negotiating in Rhode Island, who have. now been placed in an untenable and. unprecedented procedural position. And.
when its attorneys came to this court to. explain their conduct, the senior. attorney who was present at many of the. events that took place in this case sat. silently by as his counterpart, a junior. attorney who has been practicing law for. approximately 6 months and had no. relevant information was forced to. answer questions about the DOJ's blatant. disregard for the proper course of. negotiations. Now before the court is. the petitioner, the child advocate for. the state of Rhode Island's emergency.
motion to quash the subpoena duces tecum. issued by the DOJ, as well as Rhode. Island Hospital's motion to quash the. same subpoena. For the following. reasons, the court grants both motions. to quash and enjoins the DOJ from. seeking or receiving any documents. relating to this now invalid subpoena. And then the court makes that referral. to the bar agency. Let's bring in Harry. Litman from the Talking Fed Substack, Talking Fed's YouTube channel, and. Talking Fed's podcast. Everybody make.
sure you subscribe to Harry Litman's. YouTube channel called Talking Fed's. Harry, I could give numerous other. cases. There are thousands in the immigration. area where this conduct is going on. Judge Ludig was on the Midas Touch. Network recently talking about this as. well. He said, "We've never had in the. history of the DOJ a pattern and. practice of intentionally lying to the. judiciary. This is the first time in. American history, and Trump has turned. the DOJ, where you used to be a leader.
of the DOJ as the United States Attorney. in Western Pennsylvania and Maine. Justice, they've turned it into like a. Trump criminal enterprise." And we're. seeing judges punch back, but this. behavior is just a microcosm of it, Harry. >> It makes you want to throw up as a. former DOJ or it's so bad. You know, there before crises would arise and. judges would get mad and you'd look into. it and there were maybe some nuances. These are got First of all, both these.
guys banned they can't when they come to. the department within the last year. These are the you know, you ask what's. going on? Who will work in that. department? There's been a total brain. drain. They have to give bonuses. Who's. coming in? Both these guys who were. there, Jordan Campbell and Brantley. Myers are the new appointee. Campbell to. a. very high up deputy assistant attorney. general job. So, that's who's coming in. And look, it's.
one it's not only the case that we. bemoan this all the time and it's true. that they've lost the culture and the. norms of what it means to be in DOJ, but. there's this other part of the problem, the more active part of the problem that. the people who have come in are there's. just no sense of the ethos of the. department. If you had had people who. had done anything close to this before, first of all, the ripples of crisis. would have gone all through the.
department and it would have been just a. complete. conniption from the whole supervisory. structure. The people are coming in. there and to all appearances they just. having no training and difference. And. of course, the it matters here that this is an. issue that where where these this. appalling, I'm using Mac the the judges. own. word, behavior has taken place is one of.
these. cultural. social uh issues that the Trump. administration care so much about, used. it as the main spear against Kamala. Harris. So, you have to imagine that. either on their own, I've got a great. idea. We did another um. uh tape uh today about Bill Pulte, you. know, who's coming in and doing all this. stuff to make trouble for uh Democrats. and serve uh Trump. Or it's even as.
likely this these people are are big uh. appointees, certainly Campbell is, that. that was the whole idea. But the. complete uh that that they should not um. not understand that they are playing. with fire, that's what really appalls. me. Look, we've seen all this. I think. it would be part and parcel of the. atrocious. uh fundamental errors in the grand jury. from around the country. You come into.
the DOJ or when the DOJ was the DOJ, not. as you put it a uh racketeering. enterprise. Um and you train for a. couple uh years and and you do you know. what you're supposed to do, not to. mention why and how you're supposed to. do it and why and how you are not. Um. you know, you put these together. You. mentioned this just in passing, but if. you want to have a sort of quick and. dirty measure of how the DOJ has fallen,
it's the loss of something that seemed. completely institutionalized, the presumption of regularity. Judges. across the country are saying you've. lost that DOJ, not this guy, not that. guy, DOJ as an institution, you have. lost that. So tawdry and flat-out. dishonest has your conduct been. By the. way, this is one of only two scandals in. Rhode Island. Rhode Island's a pretty. small place, but another judge called.
them to task for what she saw as a. misleading or even false statement in a. press release. But this, I mean, it. really does stink to high heaven. You. can sometimes try to. reverse engineer how did they screw up. that badly? What were they thinking or. not thinking? But I don't see the other. side here. And then finally, I just want. to note you're exactly right. The. department is trying really in very.
aggressive ways to. kind of plaster over the one remaining. area of discipline. The. It used to be that there was a vigorous. Inspector General and. and Professional Responsibility. Departments. And if you did that as. a USA, you already knew you were in big. trouble, big hot water. That doesn't. happen here. So that's why judges do.
things like referring people out to bar. authorities. And the DOJ from under. Bondy is trying very hard, even though. another congressional statute, what do. they care about what Congress says, to. wipe out that possibility and take over. any kind of. discipline by the bar. And and I'll make. this final point. DOJ lawyers are afraid.
of this. You you know, you think of. you're exactly right. They're knowing. and we're seeing by the way, I'm really. struck by this underreported fact that. when they came out of the box with the. slush fund, the General Counsel. of the Department of Treasury, very high. up. appoint appointee, a. really credentialed guy, a partner in a law firm of Justice. Thomas, I believe, clerk resigned. People are starting to think, "Uh-oh, I.
I hope to have a livelihood after." And. that brings me back to these two. here. As you say, I'll give you my. opinion. Punks who are. the new the new kids behind, you know, wet behind the ears. They come in, they. make this kind of trouble, they don't. play it straight to courts, and they're. looking at serious sanction when their. careers are just getting started. And, you know, they they don't either don't. know that they're playing with fire or.
so. completely reflexive is their. loyalty to causes of the Republican. Party that they're not even thinking. twice about it. But, man, oh man, as a. sort of, as you say, microcosm. of how corrupt and rotted out the. department has become, this is a a. really, um, vivid story. >> Everybody make sure you subscribe to.
