🚨Trump BUSTED as Investigation KILLED…
It seems like the Trump regime ordered. the group that's supposed to investigate. market manipulation around the oil. markets to stand down uh after the Trump. regime engaged in these kind the wild. behavior which they still do involving. the catastrophic war in Iran where it. seemed that Donald Trump was causing. massive dips in the market and then. manipulating the market where you would. then see all of a sudden uh the market.
surging on Donald Trump's post that we. all now know about the war were not true. and we all talked about it market. manipulation market manipulation what. the hell is the SEC doing but what the. hell also was the CFTC doing that's the. commodity futures trading commission and. whereas the SEC securities and exchange. commission its jurisdiction is. securities the stock market for example. public markets and also to some extent.
private markets and private placements. but generally public markets. The CFTC. commodities, commodities like oil, crude. and you would see Trump make certain. announcements and the price of Brent. crude especially in the early days of. the war would plummet 14%. And then. Donald Trump would make other. announcements and it would surge 10%. So. you would have these massive 14 point. percent swings, 10% swings in a day and.
it seemed that there were lots of people. making very remember we would do lots of. reports on this where you would see all. of these trades either people going. short, people uh taking positions, anticipating news 10 minutes before it. happened or five minutes before it. happened timed almost perfectly. and. there was a core group of people, you'd. be like, "Whoa, you just shorted it when. everybody was going long based on what. everybody saw." Think about where we are.
now, right? You would naturally take. positions if you saw where this was. going, trying to predict that crude. would be where it is today, like 106, $107 a barrel. If you want me to get. more hyper techchnical with you, that's. the futures contract price. But the spot. price right now when we're talking about. dated or spot crude today like $150 a. barrel if you needed to buy it urgently. today. But I'll do that's a whole other. video. Regardless, you had these massive.
swings and that should have been part of. investigations that the CFTC conducted. Well, here is what we are learning. It. looks like Donald Trump brought in an. ally, plucked him in the CFTC. investigations unit in order to block. investigations into insider trading. This is what it appears. Again, appearance, opinion, allegations. Everybody's presumed however they want. to be presumed. But here's the article. from Bloomberg. CFTC staff were told to.
retract analysis of suspicious oil. trades. chairman's advisor intervened to. take over examination of lucrative bets. that were made around Trump reversal on. Iran power plant attack. And I believe. that's just the tip of the iceberg. Traders placed billions of dollars worth. of contracts predicting oil would fall. and the S&P would rise about 15 minutes. before Trump announced his Uturn on.
striking Iranian power plants. An. investigation by the CFTC was open. pursuant to its normal procedures and. rules and forensic experts began their. work. They have institutional knowledge. how to do this. They can see the trades. They can look deeper into who was making. the trades and they could identify the. source. They can then look at the spread. to see if that source was sharing the. information with others who were part of.
this cohort and were able to see this. get exposed. Shortly after though, the. forensic people started getting. involved. A Trump insider shut it down. What happened next? Mel Guna Wardina, a. senior adviser to the AY's Trumpapp. appointed chairman, Michael Celig, told. a supervisor within the market oversight. team, "Retract the referral. Do not. investigate.". I want to bring in Harry Litman from the.
Talking Feds YouTube channel, Substack, and Podcast. Now, Harry was a former. United States attorney for the Western. District of Pennsylvania. Also, you held. top positions at the Justice Department. in Maine justice. You clerked for two. Supreme Court justices. Now, often times. we'll see investigations originate from. the SEC, the CFTC, another agency. They'll do kind of civil enforcement. investigations. They've got injunctive.
power. Then what'll happen is they'll. either be a referral or a parallel. investigation by the DOJ on the criminal. side. There's usually a lot of. integration and sharing between these. entities over what's happening and. you'll see civil and criminal hand in. hand and these things are flushed out. There's a process forensics. institutional people and here they're. being told don't do your work. Let's. talk about it, Harry.
This is really stunning, Ben. This is a. for for the CFTC and possibly the SEC, possibly the DOJ. It is like a screaming. neon banner. 15 minutes before Trump. made an announcement that was going to. and very much did totally affect the. markets, you had billions of dollars in. betting that oil would fall and the S&P.
500 would rise. 15 minutes before he. makes that announcement. That fact alone. would within a 90 seconds lead to the. opening of a file and a serious. investigation. There's nothing remotely. subtle about the predicate. So, let's. just start there. It's not there's not. that many dots to connect here. You can. imagine I'm a prosecutor. I believe in.
presumption of innocence and the like. You can imagine with a lot of splaining. that some kind of innocent account. transpires. 15 minutes before his announcement. Billions of dollars. It's like out of. trading places uh with the oranges. report. It is so blatant. That's point. one. Point two, though, this is the very.
conduct, except it's worse here, that. Nixon was basically uh had to leave. office for. He told a uh well, he told. someone to tell someone at DOJ, shut. down that investigation that's going to. lead to bad stuff. It is, you know, it's. illegal eight ways from Sunday. But even. if it weren't, it's just such. prototypical corruption. Are you kidding.
me? You have this investigation open by. career people, which they do. This is. what this is their bread and butter. And. there's quite a lot of bread and butter. here in these billions of dollars of. trades. And then the the um the um. election, excuse me, not the election, the actual official folks at the top, the non-career employees, the political. folks put their boot on the neck and.
they're able to and order them to just. let it go. And why? And we don't know. the person who does it is the closest. person to Trump's handpicked. um acolyte to head the CFTC. I mean this is not a kind of remote case. to look into. This is you know to all. the world you it certainly seems as if. the president of the United States let.
it be known and so friends or others. there himself could possibly make a few. billion dollars. I'm not even making. that as an allegation here uh Ben. because the obvious point beyond any. caval is you must you must you must. investigate it. Maybe Trump was sloppy. say or maybe people riffled in his uh. true whatever it is um you know maybe. it's his true social uh person. It.
doesn't matter. The the the facts, the. bare facts themselves are stunning. And. stunning on steroids is the fact that a. political appointee ordered reached down. into the career staff that had gotten. this uh referral and says, "It's not. your it's not your night tonight, kid. That one is going away.". that fact. As I say, in a different um.
world, it could be an immediate. impeachment inquiry if it's if it's what. it looks like. Certainly an inquiry. The. the the facts are as um stinky as you. can imagine. Maybe they pan out, but the. idea that the investigation into them. was squaltched by political people. acting on Trump's behalf is an absolute. radioactive. uh violation of duties to take care and.
you know 16 different legal provisions. It is a real scandal. >> Yeah. book. One of the things about. American markets for lots of critiques. and criticism that we rightfully can. have about it, it was viewed globally in. comparison as a predictable and stable. place with bipartisan enforcement. mechanisms. No matter how the political.
dynamic seesawed, you'd have top people. do investigations into these matters. um. and you would have more broadly stable. markets uh generally that functioned. well and there was full faith and credit. in the United States. This shatters that. >> and the long-term damage in addition to. the criminality is a damage that is. potentially fatal to the view of the. United States markets if you believe. that it hasn't already been fully fatal.
because there's an argument and. discussion to be had. the poison pill. and damage is already done. But if the. game is fully rigged, which we all I. think presume it is at least at this. point, that sends a very deeply. disconcerting message. And we've seen so. many economies throughout the world. completely fail with that type of level. of corruption where the word corruption. is actually too small of a word to deal. with the intrinsic nature of all levers.
of the government being used to enrich. the dictator. And I'll also just say. this, it also raises additional. questions about what I believe to be the. unlawful Trump social API scheme where. they're selling early access to his. social media posts. Because by doing. that, in addition to my view it being. entirely unlawful, it seeks to normalize. precisely the unlawful conduct that. we've just described here with certain.
groups trading apparently on inside. information making billions of dollars. They want to act like, "Look, this is. something we did normally and lawfully. over here anyway." Which to me puts um. more smoke and when there's smoke, there's often fire, but not always. really at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue and. its surrounding apparatus as the sights. where a lot of this in my opinion. potentially was going on. I'll give you. the final.
>> Yeah. And look, I mean, the smoke is. wafting over the whole district. Just. just a few things. You make a really. important point. On the one hand, there's the illegality, corruption, and. just plain old outrage that someone. close to Trump or Trump may have been. enriching themselves to the tune of. billions of dollars. But you make the. broader point that the reason we have a. CFTC, the reason we have securities laws. is so people all over the world trust in. the uh integrity and and um the the rule.
the enforcement of the rules that govern. all of the US uh economy. And if that. goes away, the um ripple effects are. just um potentially, you know, monumental. So the um the the. cavalier. uh sense that this, you know, if it did. happen, and again, what what's 100%. clear must be investigated as against. the the conduct. And final point is.
assuming the um Democrats take the. House, we're going to be hearing more. or they'll fight it. But we're going to. be hearing more from the career people. who uh the um pro the the actual uh. officials in charge told to stand down. There's a supervisor involved and a. career person who actually had the. investigation. This is the kind of thing. when properly packaged honestly goes to.
