🚨MAJOR Red Flags SURFACE in MADURO Trial over SECRET DEAL!!
There appear to be massive red flags in. the Trump Department of Justice's latest. filing in the Maduro case that there may. be a lot of shenanigans going on behind. the scenes, potential deals being. discussed. When I looked at this. scheduling order that was filed by. Trump's Department of Justice allegedly. in coordination with Maduro's lawyer, and it's not that unusual that you would. have joint stipulations, but looking at. this joint stipulation it had a lot of.
red flags that were at least indicating. to me that there seemed to be a lot of. activity taking place. And while this. filing was made also Donald Trump's. statements he was making on Friday in a. deranged press conference about what a. great job Delcy Rodríguez is doing, she. was the former VP to Maduro, and how he. doesn't want to hold elections there. soon because he likes the work that. she's doing. If you read that in. conjunction with uh the stipulation that.
was filed, he seems to be giving Maduro. a whole lot of room for immunity. defenses and other things if he's. endorsing the Maduro regime. wholeheartedly and no elections with. Delcy Rodríguez, when you look at the. charges against Maduro, it's like. narco-terrorism conspiracy, conspiracy. to import cocaine into the United. States, possession of machine guns and. destructive devices, conspiracy to. possess machine guns and destructive. devices. I mean, Maduro is in the same.
position or was in the same position as. Delcy. So, if he's guilty of. narco-terrorism, which you could say he. certainly is, Delcy Rodríguez is as. well. Same thing with the conspiracy to. import cocaine, so is she. And in terms. of machine guns, the guy was running the. country, he's got an army. Of course. they're going to have machine guns, and. that's one of the motions that Maduro is. going to likely file, um a motion to. dismiss on the ground some of the. grounds that I said right there. And. also, I think this does relate to that. deranged national address Trump gave a.
few week 2 weeks ago at this point where. he was talking about this, you know, fake election interference and he was. dying Venezuela was this and that. And I. think ultimately he's going to try to do. a deal with Maduro with Delcy's blessing. that is going to have Maduro say. something about the election being. interfered with and Maduro will go back. to Venezuela. It just seems that Trump. and DOJ want to give this a little more.
room to breathe. Get a do this after the midterms, but it. seems that the writing's on the wall. that that's what's going to happen. Well, let me give you some examples of. what I see right here. So, they write a. letter to this no-nonsense judge in the. Southern District of New York, Judge. Hellerstein, and the government. respectfully writes to advise the court. that the parties. parties being Trump DOJ and Maduro. through Maduro's counsel are entering. into this stipulation. This is the deadlines that they're.
suggesting be followed. They want trial. to commence June 2027. So, they want to. push the trial all the way to next June. when Maduro was arrested or captured, however you want to frame it, back in. early January of 2026. But notably, if you look at footnote. two, here on the Midas Touch Network, we. always look at footnote two and footnote. 12 and if there's footnote 1,000, we. read those also. It says, "The government's ability to.
satisfy its classified discovery. obligations depends in part on other. components of the United States. government outside the DOJ. If delays. prevent the government from meeting this. deadline, the government will so inform. the defense and anticipates a motion to. adjust the following motion schedule. The provision of classified discovery. may result in litigation under the. classified information procedures act, which could result in a need to adjust.
the remainder of the schedule. Footnote. two, like a poison pill right there, because. if you remember back on our coverage of. the criminal case against Donald Trump. for classified information, the whole. procedures regarding the classified. information act and its various. provisions and how you have to submit. documents for certain types of. highly classified in camera review and. how the parties ultimately challenge it, that process alone can take a great deal.
of time. So, the fact that they are. saying that there's classified. information that's likely out there, duh. Of course, there's going to be. classified information that's out there, but that they're waiting to hear from. who? We're already in July 2026. For the. first time, you're saying we may learn. about class Of course, it's going to be. classified information. Think about all. the information the CIA has on Maduro. If you're representing Maduro, it's the. first thing you're going to request. So, the idea that Maduro's counsel hasn't. already even been pushing forward under.
the classified information-related. procedures already is a massive red. flag, cuz that's going to be the first. thing you do. Unless there is. broader discussions, I believe, going on. behind the scenes. And that's what I. want to do here at the Midas Touch. Look, I I don't know for a fact, but I. can tell you, having worked in big law. firms that handle sensitive cases, I have a sense of when you read. something like this, what I think may be. taking place behind the scenes. It goes. on to talk about how there were two.
rounds of motions that are going to be. filed prior to the government's. completion of discovery. There's going. to be a first wave of pre-trial motions. by the defendant, then a second wave of. pre-trial motions by the defendant. And. I mean, to me, you look at all of this, it's all the it's all the this whole. thing seems arranged. Having June 2020. June 2027 as your trial date, knowing. that Hellerstein's a no-nonsense judge, but also putting in all these barriers.
to eventually move that to a 2028. And, you know, whether ultimately Maduro gets. pardoned or released with some sort of. deal before Trump's term is over, that. seems to be obviously where this is all. kind of heading. Now, one of the reasons I feel that way is. not just in the document. When Donald. Trump held that bizarre press conference. on Friday, he was asked about Delcy. Rodriguez, elections in Venezuela, um Machado who was the.
leader who was elected, but she's in. exile and Trump doesn't let her go to. Venezuela. And remember, in Venezuela, they're reeling over there from that. horrible earthquake, the back-to-back. earthquakes that killed thousands and. tens of thousands of people are still. missing. But listen to what Trump says. when he asks about election, when he's. asked about elections in Venezuela. Let's play it. >> Uh as far as the elections in Venezuela, they're not really ready for them yet, but boy, a lot of progress has been. made. Uh Delcy's been doing a fantastic job,
as you know. Uh the uh. the amount of. uh. the amount of oil coming out of. Venezuela right now, even before the big. companies, you know, Exxon, all the big. companies, >> Let me bring in Harry Litman from the. Talking Fed's YouTube channel. Harry, former top federal prosecutor, Western. District of Pennsylvania's United States. Attorney. So, Harry's litigated and been. a part of the biggest types of cases in. Western District of Pennsylvania and in. Maine Justice. You supervised these.
lawyers across the country and from. Maine Justice itself. So, you've seen, you know, very high-profile cases that. involve classified information, sensitive compartmented information, and. the procedures. Now, Harry, I just look. at a document like that in a case of. this level of complexity, the type of. classified information we'd expect to. see, and they go, "We'll let you know if. we're going to be dealing with. classified information in the future.". And I'm like, "What do you mean you're. going to let us know in the future?
That's the main thing Maduro's going to. want to see back in January, obviously.". And the fact that you don't have the. procedure set up already tells me. there's stuff going on behind the scenes. here. The June 2027 trial date, Trump. making statements like that, what do you. make of it, Harry? >> You know, can't blame you for a second. for having those suspicions and reading. between the lines. Let me just say. there's another reading according to. which it's basically.
a straight-up shot in the Southern. District of New York. That, of course, is perfectly consistent with Trump. coming in with some last-minute deal and. throw away the prosecution and give. Maduro pardon and the like. But the. schedule itself, I think, Ben, isn't. something to really make a prosecutor's. antenna really. quiver. You're right, I have been. involved in cases like this, and this. particular case, each side has a really.
big. gnarly, complicated, uncertain issue. Maduro is going to be. claiming immunity and that as as the. president when he was arrested, and the. administration is going to be relying, this is the second-to-last motion listed. in the second round, on the on CIPA. Section 4, Classified Information. Procedures Act. And this is anytime that.
comes up, it is time-consuming. It used. to be the case that if the. administration or a government wanted to. use classified information, they they were stuck because they had to. show it to the other side and the other. side could essentially the the word was. graymail. force the government to either. drop the case or expose this stuff and a. little bit of inside baseball here is as.
a prosecutor you often had these behind. the scenes tussles with the national. security people who were saying, "You. can't show that." And prosecutors. saying, "We got to convict this guy.". Anyway, the what what CIPA section 4. provides is you take the information and. you try to excise out the words that are. most revealing, most inflammatory, and. create an alternate version with the. participation of the judge and it's that.
ultimate version that a jury could see. and a defendant could see. That is. time-consuming. You can go back and. forth and back and forth. We've seen it. a couple times in this you know in the. whole Trump 10-year saga. So, given the kinds of motions that are. involved, you know, I think a year from now trial. date is not. kind of crazy loose elastic and and.
built in to let the politicians make. trouble or over haul the entire thing. That could happen of course. It's the. Trump administration and it could always. happen, but this would be the kind of. thing that Hellerstein in the Southern. District of New York might be seeing if. they were playing it on the up and up. The four lawyers who are involved here. who signed the joint motion, it's kind. of interesting. Two of them are new, but.
they're returning from new. So, it's. it's a little hard to say are these sort. of Trump loyalists and acolytes that's. been revealing in many cases, including. in one after the other where the. administration is completely. messed up like with the recent New York. Times subpoena that they had to. withdraw. You know, the if it's the new people, but the other two people are veteran. AUSAs. So, again, you could you could.
construe it either way. I'll make one. more point, which is. he's in he's in incarcerated. He's not. going anywhere. So, you know, the the. government doesn't have the sort of. hurry up pressure. of his being at liberty and the same. thing with the defense. I think these. are really sophisticated defense. attorneys. They got together and they. worked out a schedule that is not so out. of line for how these cases would go.
And of course, as you say, that's always. subject to um to being completely thrown. out the window in some political. goal being superseded. Venezuela is a. mess that supposedly we're running, Marco Rubio is running, and we're we've. totally, you know, created a. a total screwed up situation there and. how Maduro could figure in, you know, all of that is right and we've seen.
again and again that the administration. doesn't care about the niceties of like. due process and other other things like. that before they impose a political. solution. That said, this looks to me. pretty close to what something would. look like in this complexity case if it. were on the up and up and we didn't have. this administration for whom the. presumption of regularity has been. completely thrown out the. >> Well, because the defense lawyers though.
are. very sophisticated, they know behind the scenes what Donald. Trump is looking for out of this. They. also are monitoring the statements that. Donald Trump is making, which you just. said that Trump through Rubio, through. Delcy, which is the Maduro regime, is still. running Venezuela. The Maduro regime, the Maduro government is the government. in Venezuela right now. The immunity.
argument that Maduro would make is that. I'm a head of state, and that you. charged me with machine guns and drug. dealing and things that you're not. allowed to charge a head of state. So, for me not to get immunity, you have to. show that I acted ultra vires, I was not. acting as a head of state. I was. illegitimate. For example, if Machado was the real. president and I was staying in power.
even though I'm not the real duly, you. know, whatever person there. So, to me, by legitimizing. Delcy. and legitimizing the power structure and. the regime, and, you know, and and doing. it consistently, that's giving Maduro. the best immunity argument. And I only. say, you know, that some of the red. flags that I see right there is I would. expect not from the prosecutorial side, I get it. This is what the prosecutors.
would want, perhaps. But, if you're Maduro's lawyers, they. know how to turn it up and be aggressive. and ask for the CIA file and certain. things that would make this very. difficult on the prosecutors in a case. like this. And they haven't done that. yet, because they're sophisticated. That's what I read between the lines, that they see obviously a need to pens. down a little bit. versus you know really motion the hell. out of this. That's really what I was.
getting at Harry. I'll give you the. floor. >> Fair enough. I'll just make two quick. points. One is that any any full team. sophisticated and Maduro almost. certainly has a lot of funds includes a. whole team of crisis management and. people who are working the government. and people whom you know the word on the. street is you pay a couple million and. Trump coughs up a pardon etc. That's. part of it as well. And then the second. point is they've negotiated here Ben and.
notice the immunity is the centerpiece. of the first round of motions. If they. win immunity, trial's over as we've. learned ruefully from the Supreme. Court's immunity decision. Immunity is a. a right not to stand trial in the first. place. So even if you're just thinking. of the time aspect of it, they get to. roll the dice on their big play first. and if they win it, everything with the. second part is gone, right? And I'll bet.
that's something they were able to. secure in a in what seems like a pretty. sophisticated New York lawyers and New. York prosecutors back and forth. before this you know joint motion was. submitted to Hellerstein. >> Everybody subscribe to Harry Litman's. YouTube channel. It's called Talking. Feds.
