WTF is happening. It's an important. question that we ask with all of the. breaking news that we're reporting on. It's important that we make these. connections, right? There is a. connection to be made between the Trump. regime's judicial coup in Bolivia and. the Trump regime's interference with the. elections in Brazil and the Trump. regime's support for secession movements. in Alberta, Canada. with the Trump. regime's attempt at taking over. Greenland, with the same tactics used by.

Putin when it comes to Eastern Europe. and Europe, what we're seeing in Asia, what are we seeing in the Middle East. right now, we have to make these. connections and not just always report. on here's what happened. So, let's take. a pause and let's ask ourselves what the. f is happening and what the f can we do. about it. It also happens to be the. title of our book WTF America, which I. think really perfectly encapsulates this. moment. Like what the f what's happening.

to this country? What's happening to the. world? And as we approach the midterms, there is a great opportunity here to. really push back against this. authoritarianism and fascism. But it. can't be winning for the sake of just. winning. We have to ask why is it do we. want to win? What does a win look like? And it can simply be return to the. status quo because the status quo gave. this country the Trump regime and Donald.

Trump. And if we just go back to the. status quo and not fight for people, not. take off the gloves and truly fight and. to make sure that people are supported. and protected and looked after, we're. just going to be back in this constant. seessaw of this person, then a Trump. person, then this person, then a Trump. person that we need to get out of this. cycle. So, let's just take a look at. what's happening right now. Obviously, the news of the Brazilian elections may. have come as a surprise, right? Flavio.

Bolsinaro, who is the Trump MAGA. candidate in Brazil, the son of Jaer. Bolsinaro, won the first round of the. Brazil election. Lots of interference by. the Trump regime and the MSAD to also. help prop up Jire Bolsinaro's son, Flavio Bolsinaro. There were other. Bolsinaros who were running for the. Senate and congressional positions in. Brazil who won as well. Brazil has a. second round of the election that will.

be taking place soon and it will again. feature Flavio Bolsinaro Jaire's son and. uh President Lula who's the current. president of Brazil and we will of. course be covering that but you have to. also ask yourself in Brazil how is it. that the son of an insurrectionist. Jaire Bolsinaro. who also spread all of the lies during. COVID you know who in my view was. horrible during COVID just like Trump. was. How is it that the people in Brazil.

were able to say, you know what, we want. another Bolsinaro after seeing how bad. things were, you know, and there's this. dynamic of course of oligarchs and. billionaires that rigged the algorithms. that also push people in a certain. direction. There's the interference of. course by these oligarchs and by the. Trump regime, you know, and there is. this sense that there needs to be some. dramatic change or there needs to be a.

whole rethinking of the system and these. right-wing authoritarian demagogues come. in and they sell this bill of goods. We're going to fix it. Everything will. be a miracle. And then they make it. worse and then it goes back to somebody, you know, else who will be in office. And then the right-wing often these. authoritarian style people who are the. arsonists, they then come along and they. say, "We're going to fix it when they. were the arsonists at the outset." And.

so if you look though at the situation. in Brazil and you look at the situation. in the United States, insurrectionists, former presidents, at least in the case. of Brazil, it was the sun, but you know, coming back into power, saying that. they're going to fix the problems that. they created, seeing the algorithms and. the oligarchs use of it tweaked in a way. that pushes uh a narrative, seeing how. um the kind corporate news structures.

were aligning behind the candidates that. would support the billionaires. Um, and. then seeing how that actually plays out. in an election. I think you can draw. these important lessons that we in a. pro-democracy community need to be. thinking about things outside of just. there's an election taking place. you. know, these authoritarian forces have. been aligning really since the beginning.

of history. Um, but if you want to put a. modern lens on it for the past 50 60. years, these authoritarians saw the uh. uh information disparities that exist as. a way for them to kind of rear their. heads again after we saw the rise of. liberal democracies since the. enlightenment period. And so across the. world, we've seen this authoritarian. template. And one of the reason the.

authoritarians often look to Victor. Orban as what he was able to kind of. project in Hungary and how he was able. to, you know, put forward this kind of. MAGA playbook that's been followed over. and over again. And of course, a lot of. that originates with Putin. It. originates actually with a lot of KGB. psychological analysis of kind of the. human condition and how disinformation. can spread and how to push certain types.

of narratives among populations that are. struggling and how the people in power. can make the people they are uh. essentially subjugating make them feel. that they are the ones helping them when. they're the ones often creating the. problems. And so, you know, the Trump. regime borrows a lot of its tactics from. Orban, from Putin, and what you see with. kind of the Putin sphere of influence. mentality in Eastern Europe and Europe,

just as Putin's focusing on influencing. all of these elections, not just in. Eastern Europe, but throughout Europe. This is one of the Trump regime pillars. that they want to work handinhand with. the Putin in order to interfere with. elections, allow Putin kind of free. reign in Europe, give Xi Jinping kind of. free reign in Asia and then be able to. manipulate uh the Western Hemisphere's. elections and to view the Western.

Hemisphere as the Trump regime sphere of. influence. So, I've been doing a lot of. reporting on the connections. internationally here because if you look. at what's happening everywhere in the. Western Hemisphere, the Trump regime. calls it the Don Row doctrine, but it is. about the same type of kind of Putin. doctrine for Eastern Europe. Trump wants. to install his dictators all throughout. the Western Hemisphere. in South. America. He's got his guy there, Fernando Saramido, who was arrested in.

Bolivia for allegedly trying to kill his. girlfriend at the time. Uh, femicide. Uh, there were three people who were. allegedly involved in this uh, hit for. hire, hired by Fernando Saramito, this. Argentinian. uh, political operative who works with. uh, the Trump regime to install. dictators throughout South America. Apparently his girlfriend who was again. pregnant at the time knew too much about.

Sarah Mato's work with the Trump regime. These are the allegations that at a high. level they were putting in these. dictators and we can see you know the. dictators that they're putting in. But. the allegations are, you know, look, these people are linked actually to kind. of the top level narcos while the Trump. regime blows up fishing boats and claims. that these people in the fishing boats. off the coast of Venezuela and some of. the fishing boats in the Pacific are. narco terrorists. There's no evidence. ever behind the killings of these people.

on the fishing boats, but it's kind of a. smoke screen for the Trump regime and. Marco Rubio and Hegs propping up people. with the connections to the top level. narcos and it's alleged and kind of. controlling it for purposes of money and. making more money and sucking up the. resources of South America. You know, the Trump regime is invade is engaged in. these types of operations everywhere. from Mexico to Central America to South. America. In Bolivia, the independent. prosecutor who's been investigating uh.

Ferdinand Sardo was essentially. kidnapped by President P, the president. of Bolivia, who is a Trump installed. stoogge in Bolivia. But you can look. everywhere. Whether you're looking in. Ecuador or Colombia, uh whether you're. looking at Argentina or El Salvador, the. Trump regime is propping up its. preferred dictators. They work with the. oligarchy with the Elon Musks and the. Metas and all of these, you know, right-wing tech bros who control the.

algorithms. They prop up each other to. suck the resources out of South America. to deprive the people, but they rile up. the people, you know, with the rage. algorithms and they pit people against. each other and they find whatever these. issues are, whether the issue is, you. know, demeaning groups and attacking. marginalized communities. There's a. playbook that certain things trigger. certain responses in the human. condition. And you see that at play um.

across frankly across the world and it's. being used over and over and over again. And so I point this out because as we. report, okay, here's what happened in. the Brazil elections. By the way, it was. still relatively close as we head into. the second round. Flabio Bolsinaro had. about 47% of the vote. Um uh to. President Lula had about 45% of the. vote. There's about eight or nine. million votes that could be fought for. It's going to be tough for Lula because. he's got to win like 65% of I think of.

that vote. Um that's voted for. alternative candidates if those people. go out and vote. Um but you take a look. at what's happening across the country. You look at that election. You look at. South America. You look, you know, we'll. look in a moment at the Middle East and. and Europe. And I think it's important. that we understand that these forces. that we see in Brazil are in play here. in the United States and they're in play. in all these South American countries. And so if we want to fight back, the way.

to fight back though is also to build. sustainable institutions that can. actually uh put on the fire hose of the. truth the way these right-wing. propagandists put on the fire hose of. disinformation and lies. They've been. building this, as I said, from the. history of humankind. But if you look in. the past 50, 60 years, the right-wing. has steadily been building these. specific institutions that look beyond a. specific election, but actually look at.

domination and control. And so, we have. to look at restoring things like the. fourth estate, a healthy media. environment. We have to build things. that like counter in the United States, the federalist society, right? the way. the Federalist Society is out there um. that basically brings um students from. college to law school into the Supreme. Court into the judiciary into top legal. positions and that ultimately over time.

led to the erosion of uh critical. precedent in the United States. There. needs to be structures that are built. like that and we need to build out. independent media and not just here in. the United States but the connections. have to be made internationally. It's. why we build out Midas Canada. It's why. Charlie Angus is you know such an. incredible. uh person to lead Midas Canada. Um but. we need to build Midas Europe. We need. to build Midas South America. We need to. build Midas uh Africa and go into.

specific countries. We need to build a. Midas in Asia and we need to then. continue to really be part of a global. movement of getting out the truth. And I. think that's one of the most important. things. As I said at the outset of this. video, we have to ask ourselves, why do. we want to win? It can't just be for the. sake of winning. We have to stand for. certain values and principles. And we. have to stand behind these values and. principles of freedom and democracy and.

empathy and love and connection and. supporting the rights of workers and. standing up for people who are being. bullied and to make sure people get fair. pay and pay with dignity when they work. their jobs. to make sure there are. worker protections and make sure that um. you know these billionaires are not out. there taking advantage of a system that. essentially is a form of socialism and. capitalism for billionaires. We talked. about South America. You're aware of the.

story this weekend. Uh the Trump regime. working with secession group. We know. this for a long time, but more stories. came out about Trump regime working with. secession groups in Canada in order to. try to get Alberta to secede. And we're. seeing the effort really being pushed by. the Trump regime to manipulate the. secession vote. Even though it's highly. disfavored, the Trump regime is not. going to stop. When they say 51st state, our Canadian viewers know this. It's. actually a declaration of war by the.

Trump regime against Canada. It's not. just rhetoric. It's not just memes that. are being posted. That's what's really. happening right there. You know, you. turn our attention now to the Middle. East. And you see these kind of. Trumpbacked kingdoms are really. struggling right now. As these. Trumpbacked kingdoms thought all of. their quid proquo deals with Donald. Trump were going to result in actual. protection. What they found out is look,

Donald Trump is the ultimate con artist. I know you don't like when I say artist, but Donald Trump is the ultimate fraud. And the same way Trump has bankrupted. casinos his whole life, he's bankrupted. the US security umbrella. So earlier. today we saw Saudi Arabia invoke the. Mecca defense pact with Turkey and. Pakistan in order to bring forces to. bear in a potential offensive against. the Houthis Ansurala in Yemen who are. continuing to advance against the.

Saudibbacked PLC in Yemen. The Ansar. Alah Houthis have been able to strike in. Yamu and Jedha uh in Riyad uh. potentially the East West pipeline again. in Saudi Arabia and Saudi Arabia is. feeling pretty vulnerable right now. The. Kingdom of Saudi Arabia like so many of. these royal families throughout the. Middle East intentionally kept weaker. armies because they were worried about. coups. So they depended on this system. of the United States would protect them.

The Trump regime has installed 200. intelligence officers inside Saudi. Arabia in order to um provide. intelligence targeting of the Houthis. But the US is not providing what they. refer to as kinetic force. The US isn't. going to provide its military uh to the. Saudi Arabian offensive against the. Houthis because the Trump regime fears. of Ansurales shuts down the Red Sea to. US vessels and US linked vessels.

that'll further cause the price of. diesel uh to surge and the price of gas. to surge. And so we're seeing though as. the security umbrella of the US falls in. the Middle East, a new security umbrella. is forming. You know, one that China is. taking advantage of, as China makes its. uh pitch to these Middle East countries. Um and China just kind of sits back and. China just builds up its advanced. military. It builds up its roads and.

bridges and uh it's on the cutting edge. of green technologies and wind and solar. despite the fact that Trump claims they. aren't. But they're able as as the US. gets involved in these reckless wars, China sits back and China just keeps. growing from within. And then you have. what we're seeing is the escalation and. the catastrophic war in Ukraine. Of. course, as Russia is striking uh and. escalating its strikes within Keev, within Odessa, within Zapcia, within.

Carke, um within Lviv, you know, all the. cities of Ukraine, uh particularly Keeb. and Odessa getting hit very very hard. We've seen Russian new drone striking. bridges heading into Kev. We've seen. Russian drones um striking uh the. science center in Kev and other areas. Um, we see Zalinsky striking back in. Russia. That war is completely at a new. level of escalation from what we've seen. even going back to 2024. Um, Donald.

Trump promised he would end that war in. 24 hours. And instead, what Trump seems. to be most focused on, of course, is. trying to do some deals with Putin. end. of last week, we know that uh one of the. things that Putin was really discussing. with Witoff and Kushner was a deal. involving Russia's foreign oil assets as. part of Luke Oil. Um, and that a Trump. MAGA billionaire working with uh Middle.

East uh uh royal family members and uh. potentially a USbacked government entity. could be working to acquire Russian oil. Luke oil facilities internationally to. the tunes of billions or tens of. billions of dollars. And the Trump. regime wants to do this deal regardless. of whether there's any sort of peace. deal with Ukraine. And so Trump who goes. around saying peace, peace, peace. I did.

this deal. I did that deal. We know is. just completely fraudulent. There's more. war across the world than there ever was. before. And then you look. geopolitically, and we've been talking a. lot about this. the United States. aircraft carrier in the uh Arabian Sea, the USS George HW Bush is in Phuket now. There's only one aircraft carrier strike. group that's in the Arabian Sea, the USS. George Washington, which had to leave. from the Pacific. The US is without any. aircraft carriers in the Pacific right.

now. Yes, you have the USS Theodore. Roosevelt, which is heading to the. Middle East, ain't going to get there. until midn November. Iran's aware that. the closest US aircraft carrier to the. USS George Washington is more than a. thousand kilometers deep all the way. back in the Arabian Sea. Pretty far out. at this point. Iran has been striking. tanker after tanker after tanker. The. Trump regime's policies are absolutely. malicious. War crimes are being. committed by the Trump regime. Um and.

they're all war criminals. We should. never have been involved in this. catastrophic war. But I think one of the. significant um things that we need to. talk about is also it's just. incompetent. The Trump there's those. there's the strategy of is is just so. awful as the Trump regime has purged all. of the top generals and admirals. What. are we left with at this point? We we. all of our top talent has been purged. and even this war we should never have. been involved in. We ran out of weapons.

We don't have aircraft carrier groups in. the region. We lost an aircraft carrier. group in China. Our interceptors are. gone. Offensive weapon capabilities are. gone. And we keep getting hacked every. day. It's like not a day goes by the FBI. gets hacked and the Pentagon is hacked. and this thing gets hacked and water. facilities are hacked. And I'm sure. there's so many more hacks that are. actually even being discussed right. there. And I think, you know, I wanted. to do this video to talk about all of. these issues happening, right? Of. course, there is the Trump regime taking.

over Venezuela. Um, and then claiming. that we have access to 65 million. barrels of hypothetical oil, which um, we don't uh, you know, have. I mean, maybe in 5 10 years, who the hell knows? But that's not filling up the strategic. petroleum reserves. But if you listen to. how Russia speaks about it, they go, "Look, the Trump regime claims they're. going after narot traffickers, but. they're working with the Deli Rodriguez. regime, which was an extension of the. Maduro regime. The Trump regime claims. that the reason they were in Iran is for.

nuclear weapons, but they claimed they. obliterated it last year. And then Trump. was trying to do deals with Ayatollah to. control the uh straight of Hormuz in a. joint venture. So the US has completely. lost its moral authority. I frame all of. these issues this way because all of. this then impacts everything we're. experiencing here on the domestic front, right? It impacts the price of oil. It. impacts the price of diesel. It impacts. the mortgage rates. It impacts the.

treasury yields. Uh which means the US. has to pay 1.35$1.4. trillion a year in order to service the. debt, the notes that are the bonds. because no one wants to buy our bonds. So we have to pay a higher yield. We. have to pay more interest on it. And all. of that want to talk about trickles. down. I would say it's more than. trickles. that swamps down on the. American people. And this is all stuff. that Trump's doing, not to mention his. tariffs against the world, you know,

which have been a complete and utter. disaster and have caused inflation to. surge. And so when we're wondering why. are people here struggling for, you. know, housing? Why can't people get paid. with the dignity that they deserve? Why. is it that the Trump regime is spending. all this money on war and not health. care of the American people? Why is it. that, you know, the Trump regime uh why. why is it that everything's getting far. worse right now? And it's because of. this whole picture that I described.

right here. And so I wanted to step. back. I wanted to talk about it not in a. yelling, not in Iran, not this is a. breaking news to talk about what's. happening everywhere right now. The US. doesn't control the straight of Hormuz, right? You know, the US militarily is. pretty is in pretty weak position right. now. Um, Iran knows that. That's why. they keep on strengthening these. tankers. There's not more oil getting. out of the straight of Hormuz than ever. before. None of that's happening. And.

it's just this fountain hose of lies. And I'll I'll leave us with this, too. when we actually look what's in the. Epstein files and we see Epstein as kind. of a broker, if you will, for the. Epstein class, for this oligarchy, um, one of the things that he would talk. about was, you know, really propping up. these authoritarians and to create all. this disruption in the world so that. these oligarchs can feast on everybody. else in a destabilized world order. The.

oligarchs can do well while everybody. gets screwed over. And that's one of the. themes we see in the Epstein files, obviously, in addition to the sex. trafficking, which is sick and vile and. is being covered up by the Trump regime. But the sex trafficking that was engaged. in was also part of the currency of the. Epstein class of these sick people who. were also involved in this predatorial. behavior geopolitically.

um and creating complete global anarchy. to then pick people's pockets basically. and to transfer all of this wealth to. the oligarchs. And I think you see that. actually playing out right now. And so. people have asked, well, like, well, what are you talking about in WTF. America? It's not an election book. It's. about all of these broader ideas that. I'm describing in this video.
