🚨GOP Senator GETS REVENGE on Trump before BLANCHE AG VOTE!!!!

The Republican senator that Donald Trump. screwed over and destroyed his career. from Texas claims he's going to be. getting revenge on Donald Trump's pick. for Attorney General Todd Blanche. We'll. see because even the Republican senators. Donald Trump screws often show how. cowardly they are. But here's what's. going down right now. You have Senator. Cornyn of Texas. Remember Donald Trump. endorsed Cornyn's primary opponent Ken. Paxton, that crook, beating the MAGA. Republican Cornyn. Cornyn, a former.

Supreme Court justice in Texas, a former. top prosecutor in Texas, a former top. judge in Texas before becoming a United. States senator who while weak and. cowardly and spineless and MAGA was not. MAGA enough, but he was asking some. pretty good questions. Remember I. highlighted the questions that he was. asking of Todd Blanche during Todd. Blanche's confirmation hearing. specifically about the so-called.

the settlement agreement between Donald. Trump in his individual capacity and the. Department of. Justice regarding this slush fund for. the January 6th insurrectionists and the. super pardon that would prevent Donald. Trump from being audited personally. forever basically from the date of the. agreement going back you know for his. taxes like full you don't have to pay. your taxes Donald because you sued the. government for 10 billion dollars the. Treasury Department and the IRS.

we know that the DOJ had refused to put. in writing anything at all that they. would not be enforcing the settlement. agreement that they would not be. enforcing the January 6th fund for the. insurrectionists or that they would not. be enforcing the super pardon for Donald. Trump that prevents Trump from being. investigated, prosecuted, audited for. any past tax evasion. Now Todd Blanche. said during the hearing very cagey words.

like we're not going to pursue that or. we're done pursuing that or for at this. time we're not going to be pursuing it. Also, you know, there was different. litigation that's been taking place. I. mean, there was the underlying lawsuit. that Trump filed suing the federal. government, the Treasury Department, and. IRS in the Southern District of Florida, which resulted in a federal judge, Judge. Williams, making a finding of collusion. and improper filing by Donald Trump and. Trump's lawyers working in a collusive.

way, in a non-adversarial way, with the. government to come up with this, um, you. know, bogus and effectively fraudulent. agreement to begin with that was signed. and then the judge made referrals to. different state bar organizations and. you know, we'll we'll follow up there. and what's going on. Then there was. another lawsuit filed in Virginia, uh, in for injunctive relief to try to block. and bar uh, the settlement agreement. from taking effect. Uh, and then the. federal judge there gave Trump and the.

DOJ an opportunity, basically, okay, just have Todd Blanche do a stipulation. saying that the agreement is voided. Put. it in writing and then, you know, I I. don't need to have any court proceeding. anymore. I don't need to issue an. injunction blocking this agreement and. blocking the fund because I have. a declaration under penalty of perjury. Put it in writing and Blanche wouldn't. put it in writing. The DOJ wouldn't put. it in writing. So, Cornyn's.

cross-examination of Blanche identified. the reason why they weren't putting it. in writing because the agreement says. that the only way to overturn the. agreement, um, requires writing. That. unless there is a written instrument. that voids the, uh, settlement agreement. that Trump entered, the agreement. remains in effect. So, the squirmyness, the bad faith, you could call it a lot of other things. as well, that Trump and Blanche and the. DOJ were pulling is to make an oral.

representation that the agreement would. be voided and that would not be. enforced, but not put it in writing. And. what Cornyn was able to identify in his. cross-examination. of Blanche was that Trump still had the. ability to in his individual capacity to. enforce the settlement agreement unless. and until there was a writing by the DOJ. and Trump voiding the agreement. voiding the settlement agreement. And. that's how Trump was going to get around.

it. And in the future when Trump didn't. pay his tax if this hypothetically. happened, Trump doesn't pay his taxes. and then there's an investigation or. whatever, Trump will say, "I entered. into an agreement with the DOJ." Yeah, but Todd Blanche publicly said that it's. voided. And he said and the DOJ said. it's not enforceable. Ah, the agreement. says it needed to be in writing and no. one put it in writing. So, it gives. Trump that argument to not pay his taxes. hypothetically. Um and Cornyn was able to kind of. pinpoint. We were talking about that.

here on the Midas Touch Network, but. Cornyn appointed to the loophole by why. they didn't want to do any writing. So, what Cornyn is saying right now and what. Tillis is saying, remember Trump also. destroyed the career of Senator Tillis, the Senator from North Carolina, is. Tillis has two demands and Cornyn had. basically one. Cornyn's revenge or. Cornyn's demand is put that in writing. that this agreement is void. We want to. see it in writing that the super pardon. and that the January 6th fund is voided.

And if you do that, then I will agree to. have Todd Blanche be the AG. despite all the ridiculous and unlawful. and criminal and hateful and conflict of. interest that Todd Blanche has engaged. in in my opinion, that that that's what Cornyn says he. needs. The writing something in writing. to avoid the January 6th fund and and. the super pardon. Tillis says, "I want. that plus. I want Blanche to meet with the.

survivors of Epstein." Blanche met with. the survivors of Epstein in a. check-the-box way, but tormented the. survivors. He was rude, he was abrasive, he was hateful. He further traumatized. them. The survivors said this was the. worst. He met with us arms crossed, was. mean to us, treated us horribly. That. wasn't a meeting at all. So, we'll see. what Tillis thinks about that. rewritten before voting for Blanche. The. Texas Republican drew a red line ahead. of a crucial Judiciary Committee vote on. Thursday. Cornyn said uh early this week. he will not support Blanche's. confirmation as the Attorney General. absent a written modification to the. settlement agreement that Donald Trump. entered with his own administration. It's the most ridiculous, unfathomable. sentence that you even have to say, but. such is fascist United States under uh. Donald Trump. Then Blanche separately,

sorry, then uh Cornyn rather, um. separately said the following. Um regarding any any other way that he. would support Blanche's nomination. Fake. news alert, there is no deal on Blanche. nomination. Cornyn and Tillis want. the Department of Justice to formally, in writing, kill the anti-weaponization.

fund and restrict Trump's audit immunity. deal before they advance him in. committee. That vote is scheduled for. Thursday and many are suspecting that. they may now move this vote from this. Thursday to next week to try to figure. out a solution. So, you have this. standoff right now. Now, if you I've. been following Cornyn and Tillis, despite Donald Trump. causing them to lose their job, despite. everything, they seem to always back.

down in the end, and which is also, I. think, one of the reasons why they lost. their seats to begin with, also. Um but in in in any event, um I want to. bring in Harry Litman from the Talking. and any of them could technically kill. it in the committee before it gets out. of the committee. So, what's going on here, Harry? >> Okay. Cornyn only a matter of weeks ago, endorsed Ken Paxton, who the Republican. Senate in Texas impeached, is a rogue of.

the first order, and uh Cornyn, as you. say, is not only this sort I mean, he's. very, very Republican, to be sure, but. he's not only this esteemed. um resume, he's quite respected in the. Senate. The senators uh by and large. were really upset that Trump just. essentially walked him up to the wall. and shot him. And similar with Tillis.

And they're now contemplating. going for and voting for, and they're. the pivotal votes on Todd Blanche, who. they have ample, more than ample, you. and I have talked about this, overwhelming reason to vote against in. any event. And that itself is so telling. about the kind of, you know, political. system and power of Trump even today, even as a lame duck, cuz these are guys,

you wonder, what the hell? What are they. even thinking? And I think the. persuasive answer is, you know, after. it's over, he's killed their career, they have to go into the private sector, but even there, they're going to be. lobbyists, say, and they're going to be. within the Republican kind of ecosystem. And if they're the people who. administered the coup de grace on Todd. Blanche, they're the traitors. And, you. know, at the dinner parties and the. cocktails and the lobbying themselves,

they'll be on the outs. They'll be. ostracized, and therefore, must they. must be so bitter about it after Trump. has totally, uh, just skewered them, they they looks. like are, you know, they they can't. simply just say, "No way will I vote for. Todd Blanche." Okay, now let's go back. to what you're saying, because you're. totally right. Corwin, in his, um, colloquy, you and I talked about this at. the time with, um, Blanche, he made the.

point that we've been making, but others. seem to not, uh, notice in this whole. kind of nasty, um, collusive settlement agreement, which is. if you want to pretend it's a settlement. agreement that Trump has done his part. by. dismissing his completely worthless, phony baloney 10 billion, actually worth. zero, among other reasons cuz it's. unconstitutional lawsuit. At that point,

it's not up to Todd Blanche and the. Department of Justice. Now, it's up to. Trump to say, "Well, I know I did my. part. I'm now have the right for you to. follow through, but you don't have to. anyway." In other words, an actually. effective for what Corwin's looking for. what has to involve Trump. It's not just. about Blanche saying, "I Todd Blanche. promise blah blah blah." And you're. right, this point in writing.

Corwin really exposed when he showed. that part of the actual agreement. So, they're being totally funky and one and. squirrely and wanting to preserve. Trump's abilities. It seems to me if. Corwin draws that line, we saw this with. Tillis, right? And but it was so much. sort of check the box. Tillis, you know, Tillis said, "You've got to meet with. them." So, he met with them in a in this. very kind of almost offensive.

contemptuous. way to the Epstein survivors. They came. out even more upset than before. He was. obviously not, you know, in any way. offering the the support or interest. even of the Department of Justice, but. Tillis could say, "Okay, I I can check. the box." That's what's happening now, it seems to me with Corwin and the. administration. They're circling and. doing a dance, but if Corwin eventually. says, "Here's what it's going to have to. be, it's that or Blanche goes down." I.

think they'll do it. In other words, this to me strikes me as preparatory. It. sounds like a kind of tough tough. senator talking, but I think it's. basically putting the power in the. administration to have Blanche voted out. of committee, which is the big vote. If. either Corwin opposes or Tillis opposes, he won't get out of committee, but. whatever, and I think they will postpone.

it a week and they'll keep dancing. around it. And if Corban says, "Look, this is how it's going to have to be.". They don't want to because they want to. have this phony baloney deal that they. say is dead, uh actually be revivable by Trump. But. if it's that or no Blanche, uh I think they'll eventually do at. least a check the box way. So, that's. the sort of men of kind of almost um. waltz that we're in. And to me,

uh my main lookout, and I think yours as. well, is what a terrible AG choice uh. Blanche would be. And they're ratifying. something that, you know, his behavior. over the last year that includes. bringing prosecutions of innocent people. because they're the enemies of Donald. Trump. It seems to me the power is now. in the administration's hands. They may. have to swallow and do something they're. not eager to do that maybe diminishes. the entitlement of Trump to this crazy.

ass thing. But, uh it may it makes it to me the sort of. Vegas odds, if you will, more likely. than not that um Blanche gets by. And. that's to me the headline, and that. really uh really is distressing. But, Corban can play tough to a point and I. but uh I think eventually it it you. know, what what he says, they're going. to have to listen to. On the other hand,

if they do, he's pretty much got. signaled that he'll he'll um vote for. him out of committee. Say one final. thing, which is if that happens, and I. think it wouldn't happen till a week. from Thursday, then we go into. calculations on the floor. Is there any. kind of possibility, especially with. McConnell, we now know not not. participating that he could uh there. could be a no vote on the floor and then. the pressure will change from Corwin and.

Tallis to the Alaska senators Susan. Collins and and the like. But you know, right now I think he's looking. to get by by the skin of his teeth and. you know, having already proven himself the worst. attorney general of all time. >> You know, Governor Beshear. Kentucky had a decent point. He's like I. understand everybody wants me. you know, call the special election call.

the special election. His only point was. he goes like we haven't had. Democratic senator here since 1992. and he said I hear you. His point I'm. not endorsing it. I'm just letting you. know what his point is. His point is. but Mitch McConnell's not voting. Wherever he is whether he's alive or not. alive or in a coma or whatever the. whatever's going on with McConnell. He's not voting and so having a non vote. could actually be better than a vote.

given the dynamic of of just the way. Kentucky is. And it's a point that he. makes and that relates to this and a lot. of Donald Trump's other really terrible. legislation. I'm not an. expert in Kentucky law but the the. maneuver that everyone wants Beshear to. pull is I gather. you know, a little bit tenuous legally. and that could be a whole kind of snarl. as well. >> You know, and look, I'm all for, as. everybody knows, uh pushing people to be as aggressive. uh as aggressive as they can be. Um you. know, I just think it's worthy of. sharing uh at least what the perspective.
