🚨GOP Cross-Exam INSTANTLY BACKFIRES…
The Republican Senate cross-examination. of special counsel Jack Smith just. backfired in the faces of these. Republican senators. Yes, they're. spending their time subpoenaing special. counsel Jack Smith again. And there was. this moment that took place during the. cross-examination where MAGA Republican. Senator Schmidt from Missouri was. cross-examining Jack Smith and said, "Isn't it true that you were in Atlanta. to see the Hawks game, the NBA. basketball game, and you met with Fawn.
Willis and you never disclosed it? Isn't. that true?" And special counsel Jack. Smith looks really confused. I never was. at a Hawks game. I don't know what. you're talking about. And then Senator. Schmid, the MAGA Republican, like. removes this poster board that he has. where he was like gonna set up this. Perry Mason moment. And it turns out. what actually we learned is that special. counsel Jack Smith was at an Iowa. Hawkeyes game in Maryland. He was. watching the female college basketball.
team play in Maryland because it was a. Caitlyn Clark game. And this MAGA. Republican senator had all of his facts. wrong. And then he was like frozen and. didn't know what to do cuz he was. cross-examining Jack Smith on the wrong. facts. He was just like, "And you're a. dirt bag." And then you had Democratic. Senator Clolobachar said, "You should. probably get your facts straight before. you start to call Jack Smith a dirt bag. based on the wrong sports team. The. Atlanta Hawks men's NBA basketball, the.
Iowa Hawkeyes with Caitlyn Clark female. college basketball team. I want to show. you the exchange that went down there. I'll also show you the exchange when the. MAGA Republican Senator Darlene Graham. was trying to cross-examine Jack Smith. and he said, "Actually, you know, Lindsey Graham, your brother, your late. brother, he probably would have been a. witness against Donald Trump." And she's. like, "Let's move on. Let's move on.". And there were so many other moments. where this cross-examination of Jack. Smith blew up in the faces of these MAGA. Republican senators. But I think this.
video tells the full story right here. Watch as MAGA Republican Senator Katie. Britt watches what is unfolding with the. MAGA Republican Senator Schmidt trying. to cross-examine Jack Smith using the. Atlanta Hawks and some meeting that. never happened in the Atlanta Hawks game. when in reality he was supposed to be. talking about the Iowa Hawkeyes game. Completely different event that special. counsel Jack Smith was out not with. Vonyie Willis. Watch Katie Britt MAGA. Republican senator here from Alabama.
play this clip. I recall going to a. University of Maryland basketball game. where Caitlyn Clark was playing uh right. around that time uh and the Marshall. Service was there with me. You could. check if that was the exact date. It was. Maryland playing Iowa. I think February. of 2024, but again, that's you could. check that out if that's what we're. talking about. You see the oh no face. right here from MAGA Republican Senator. Schmidt. He had a whole chart prepared.
with everything. Let me show you what. went down. You're going to want to watch. this full video of this exchange. Utterly humiliating for MAGA Republican. Senator Schmidt and frankly for all of. these MAGA Republican Senators. And then. I'm going to show you a little bit what. unfolded thereafter. Here, play this. clip. Did you go to an NBA game between. the Golden State Warriors and the. Atlanta Hawks on February 3rd, 2024? >> I'm sorry. All right. Could you say that.
again? >> Did you go to an NBA game between the. Golden State Warriors and the Atlanta. Hawks on February 3rd, 2024? >> What city would that be in? >> Atlanta. >> No. >> Okay. So, your testimony today is that you did. not go to a Hawks game on February 3rd, 2024. Is that correct? >> I have no recollection of that. >> Okay. Is it your testimony that you were. not in Atlanta on February 3rd, 2024?
Let me let me just give you a little. context. The day before Fanny Willis. came clean with her affair with the. prosecutor, you know, the Atlanta. prosecutor that was also trying to get. Trump. The next day, were you in. Atlanta? >> I do not believe so. >> Okay. Did you ever go to Atlanta during. your time as special counsel? >> I I really don't think so. It's possible. I flew through the Atlanta airport on. the way to Florida, but I do not have a. recollection of going to Atlanta. I I.
definitely did not go to a Hawks game. I'm sure of that. >> Did you ever meet Nathan Wade or Fanny. Willis in your in your time as special. counsel? >> No. >> What would you say if I had a series of. text messages from your team that said. you were in Atlanta at a Warrior Hawks. game on February 3rd, 2024, the day. after Willis and Wade announced their. affair? you. I don't think you know that we have.
this stuff. So, I'll give you a second. to process it so you don't, you know, purge it yourself. >> You just took it down really quick. If I. could look at that again. >> Okay. >> Mr. Chairman, can we give the witness a. copy so he can see what's being read to. him? >> Well, I think you've already. sufficiently answer. I want to I want to. run through. We'll we'll we'll put it in. a follow-up. You can respond. You've I. think you've already perjured yourself, but um did you or your office can we see. it? Can we see it? >> Did you or your office seek this is my.
time? If you want to use your time to. criticize my question, go ahead. Ranking. >> just very briefly and this can if if. this is the correct um um basketball. game. I recall going to a University of. Maryland basketball game where Caitlyn. Clark was playing uh [snorts] right. around that time. Uh, and the Marshall. Service was there with me. You could. check if that was the exact date. It was. Maryland playing Iowa. I think February. of 2024, but again, that's You could.
check that out if that's what we're. talking about. >> University of Iowa. >> Is it the Hawkeyes? >> Yes. >> Could Could it then be that University. of Iowa is the Hawkeyes? Could that be. it? And maybe before we show this kind. of thing. H. I know. But if he was at an Iowa game, is that correct? >> It was because Caitlyn Clark was coming. to Maryland to play and so we went to. the game to. >> That might be the confusion over the. names of the team, but perhaps you.
should have looked at it more carefully. >> This is Whose questioning is this, by. the way, Mr. Are you Are you using your. time, Senator? Is this what this is? Are. we just Are we just having like an open. session here? >> Questions. I just I'm just. >> Well, I'm glad you're trying to. rehabilitate the witness, but it's not. [clears throat]. >> You are calling a witness a dirt. presented him with text messages about. him wanting to meet with people. >> that could have obviously been related. to the prosecution that was coordinated. with his office in Atlanta. >> I will begin my questions now, but I.
think that people should have their. facts straight before they accuse. someone of being a dirt bag and not get. the teams. >> I stand by that statement. >> Teams, you had the teams wrong, sir. >> Senator, >> Mr. Chairman, >> as the floor go proceed with your. questions. Thank you from the state of. Minnesota where we have the Gophers. So. there's not a lot of confusion. There's. not a lot of professional teams with. those names. Mr. Chairman, many of us in. this room uh were here on January 6, one. of the So then we heard from MAGA.
Republican Senator Darlene Graham, and. she was trying to cross-examine Jack. Smith about Lindsey Graham, and Jack. Smith's like, "You know what? Actually, Lindsey Graham may have been one of our. main witnesses against Donald Trump.". And she's like, "All right, move on. Let's move on here. Let me show you what. unfolded there. Here, play this clip. >> So, Mr. Smith, do you really believe. that Lindsay was going to destroy. evidence that was not even in his. possession?
>> No. I believe your brother was a. patriotic public servant. He was not a. target of our investigation. And in. fact, he likely would have been a. witness in our case. Your brother. investigated the claims that Donald. Trump was making. He found them to be. false. He said so on the House. >> I have another question. Then why does. the gag order say that disclosure of the. subpoena would result in destruction of. or tampering with evidence? >> Let's also talk about then what happened.
after that. Now you would think MAGA. Republican Senator Schmidt would be like. you wouldn't because he's a MAGA. Republican Senator, but he would take. the L, right? And that's pretty damn. bad. I mean, apologize. I don't care. what political party you're from. I. mean, you got your facts wrong. So, just. say you made a mistake. People make. errors. Not that egregious. Not even. close to that, but that was a pretty bad. one. So, just move on and apologize. That's what adults should be behaving. like, but no. MAGA Republican Senator. Schmidt then goes on all of these.
right-wing shows. And then he acts like. he did some great cross-examination and. all of these Trump bootlicking. podcasters are like, "Oh yeah, you got. Jack Smith really good. Let me show you. what unfolded. Play this clip.". You I don't think you know that we have. this stuff. You I think you've already. pjured yourself, but. >> Dang, you uh so you so you had text.
messages from his team confirming that. he was going to a Hawks game, and he sat. there acting dumbfounded and completely. clueless. >> It was the only It was the only NBA or. NCA men's game going on at that time in. Atlanta. He claimed later that he was at. another game. Um I don't you know, here's the thing. My job is to ask the. questions. he's already um and if that's. what his answer is, then that's what his. answer is. But he also said that he also. took the advice of the uh um of the. public integrity unit, and he didn't. because he was filing briefs within the.
60-day window. We were not supposed to. do it before. Jack Smith has lied under. oath time and time again. And so, you. know, the purpose of today is just to. get him to answer a bunch of questions. and and uh and see if he's in stairs. himself in more lies because he's done. that before. And then MAGA propagandist. Benny Johnson posts, "Senator Eric. Schmidt just caught Jack Smith perjuring. himself on the stand in his testimony. Jack Smith denied having any contact. with Fawny Willis and denied going to an. NBA game in Atlanta. Then Eric Schmidt.
pulled out the receipts. What would you. say if I had a series of text messages. from your team that said you were in. Atlanta at a Warriors Hawks game the day. after Willis and Wade announced their. affair?" I don't think you know that we. have this stuff. I'll give you a second. to process it. Jack Smith was stunned. He wasn't stunned. He was confused. because you're lying. And this is one of. the main things I talk about how this. should not be political. This isn't a. Democratic. This shouldn't be a. Republican or an independent. This.
should just be the truth and the facts. And these MAGA Republicans don't give a. crap. And they'll just lean in on the. lie, spread the propaganda because it's. all about deceit and deceiving the. American people. And also on that point, while they subpoena special counsel Jack. Smith and they'll frame the entire the. entire title of this hearing before the. Senate, Jack Smith's abuse of the. American legal system. The MAGA. Republicans are still blocking Jack. Smith. They're banning him along with.
the Trumpapp appointed judge, Judge. Eileen Cannon, from talking about the. indictment regarding Donald Trump. stealing classified documents and hiding. it in Mara Lago showers and cafeteria. rooms and in the Mara Lago like theater. room. And so for all of these people out. here who want to like do this. performative stuff, they're hiding and. preventing Jack Smith from testifying on. what he knows. That should reveal to you. everything as well. Then they go on Fox. and Newsmax and all of their regime.
propaganda to attack the guy in Jack. Smith's like, "Let me talk about the. facts." Nope, you can't talk about this. Just let us get up here and show you. fake messages from fake events that. don't exist and then you'll be confused. and we'll go on right-wing podcast. It. pisses me off. Here's another moment of. Eric Schmidt on I guess they still call. it the Charlie Kirk show. Here's what he. said. Here, play this clip. >> All right. Well, Jack Smith is a total. dirt bag. Um, and you you caught him. out. uh on this NBA game too, by the. way, in Atlanta. I I want to I want to.
make sure we get to everything we we're. supposed to get to here, Senator, but it. was a great moment. >> So, good for you on that. Okay. Last. night, >> the Protect College Sports Act of 2026. passed. >> Now, we're big sports fans around here. Danny's always moaning and groaning. about Ohio State getting beat by Texas. and else other things. Then we heard. from MAGA Republican Senator Kennedy. from Louisiana cross-examining Jack. Smith about the Easter Bunny. I mean, this is this is the MAGA Republicans big. moment right here. Here, play this clip.
>> What my job was. >> I don't know anything about that. Do you. believe in the tooth fairy? >> I do not. >> How about How about the Easter Bunny? >> I no longer believe in the Easter Bunny. Yes. >> You think Jimmy Hoffa died of natural. causes? I do not. >> Okay. >> Then we heard from MAGA Republican. extremist Senator Cruz who says, "Do you. have any evidence whatsoever that I and. 20% of Republicans would engage in the.
destruction of evidence?" And Jack. Smith's like, "That's not why we had. certain protective orders and why we had. certain uh processes that are part of. the DOJ manual that we pursued when we. were prosecuting Donald Trump for his. crimes. We had very credible evidence. that Donald Trump was going to destroy. evidence and obstruct because we charged. him criminally with obstruction. Here, play this clip. Do you have any evidence. whatsoever to believe that I and 20% of. the members of the Republicans in the. Senate.
will engage in destruction or tampering. of evidence and intimidation of. potential witnesses? >> No. We had powerful evidence that Donald. Trump and his associates. >> Am I Donald Trump? You are not, sir. >> Are the members of the Senate Donald. Trump? >> No. >> Was this order directed at Donald Trump? >> No. I believe that. >> Did your office draft this order that. Judge Boseberg signed? And he signed. them like he was signing Denny's menus. one at a time over and over and over.
again. Facts be damned. Did your office. draft this? >> Uh, I'd have to look, but I'm assuming. that's the correct order. And if so, we. did. And I'm happy to explain why we did. if you'd like. >> Good. I want you to tell us right now. Are you an officer of the court? >> Yes. >> I want to tell us, did you have a shred. of evidence. that 20% of the Republicans in the. Senate will destroy evidence and. intimidate witnesses?
>> We had a strong reason to believe that. Donald Trump would destroy evidence. >> That was not directed at Donald Trump. It it was stated disclosing it to. members of the Senate. No, it was stated. at disclosing it to anyone and we do not. have to uh wait for someone to be. injured for an investigation to be. obstructed. We had strong reason to. believe that Donald Trump would obstruct. our investigation. Given the obstruction. alleged in the Florida indictment, given.
the attempts to intimidate witnesses in. the election case, given the threats. that were later made to witnesses in the. election case, Senator Schmidt comes back for more. seriously. And then he starts to ask. Jack Smith what he's writing down on a. notepad. Then he's like, I retract that. question. I retract. Here, play this. clip. >> I have a feeling that your testimony is. going to be read back to you uh in in. subsequent hearings. You've lost a lot. of big cases in your career, haven't. you?
>> I have lost cases in my career. >> Just curious, what are you writing down. there? >> I'm sorry. >> Never mind. Um, you were the chief uh of. DOJ's public integrity section when John. Edwards was prosecuted. >> More from MAGA Republican Senator Kenny. Kennedy over here asking spe former. special counsel Jack Smith questions. about his wife. And Jack Smith's like, I'm not talking about my wife. weirdo. You're asking about the tooth fairy and. my wife. Here, play this clip. >> When when President Trump. defeated Secretary Clinton, you were.
bitterly disappointed, weren't you? >> Uh, I I don't recall that. >> You don't recall at all? Um, Mrs. Smith was, wasn't she? >> I'm uh I'm not going to talk about my. family. But what I can share is that I. accepted a position in the Trump. administration as the acting US attorney. in Tennessee after that election. And.
then I accepted a second position in the. Trump administration as a war crimes. prosecutor. >> Your your your spouse, it's certainly. her right, I'm not being critical, uh is. an ardent supporter of of uh President. and First Lady Obama. Is that right? I'm not going to talk about my family. here today. I'm here to talk about my. work as special counsel. In. >> in fact, she made a a a glowing. saccharine sweet documentary.
about First Lady Obama, didn't she? That. she sold to Netflix. >> I'm not going to speak about my family. here today. I'm happy though to answer. any questions you have about my actual. work as special counsel. And so then Senator Kennedy's like, "Uh, I just want to vomit in my mouth right. now." So that's what the MAGA. Republicans are reduced to. They bring. in Jack Smith while the American people. like, "Are you guys going to do. something to stop this catastrophic war.
in Iran? Are you going to do something. on the issue of cost of living? Are you. going to do something on the issues of. the rising record setting gas and diesel. prices? Could you do something?" Oh, no. You want to talk about vomiting in your. mouth and Easter bunnies? Here, play. this clip. >> When you went to Judge Boseberg, you you didn't even tell him you were. seeking the phone records of members of. Congress, did you? Because you knew he. wouldn't agree. He he would he would. say, "Hey, counselor, anybody who knows.
a law book from a J Crew catalog knows. that this violates the Constitution.". But you didn't tell him, did you? Uh, we sought non-disclosure orders from. >> You didn't tell him, did you? >> In seeking non-disclosure orders, we did. not disc. But you're unbiased. You You You have no personal feelings. You make me want to throw up in my. mouth.
>> Then Jack Smith talked about how history. teaches us valuable lessons. Let's play. it. History teaches that the rule of law. is rarely destroyed. all at once. It's. often weakened by attacks on the. institutions and the public servants. sworn to uphold it. Since January of 2025, we have witnessed. precisely such an effort, including the. vilification of the agents, prosecutors, and staff who worked on my team simply. because of their unwavering.
dedication to the rule of law. I myself have been threatened with jail. by the president of the United States. However, I remain confident that the. rule of law will endure because so many. continue to uphold it faithfully each. day. And more from special counsel. Jacksmith here about the overall. investigation regarding one of the. criminal prosecutions of Donald Trump. that Jacksmith is allowed to talk to.
Trump's interference and crimes. regarding the 2020 election and relating. to the January 6th insurrection. But the. MAGA Republicans prevent and they've. blocked him. They said they will. criminally prosecute Jack Smith if he. talks about Donald Trump stealing. documents like nuclear documents and. other classified documents and hiding. him in Mara Lago. So they block him from. talking about that. co coordinating. essentially with uh Judge Eileen Cany, Judge Trump appointed in the Southern. District of Florida. Here, play this.
clip. Our investigation developed proof. beyond a reasonable doubt that President. Trump engaged in serious crimes against. our nation. If asked whether to. prosecute a former president today based. on the same facts, I would do so. regardless of whether that president was. a Republican or a Democrat. The charges against President Trump were. the result of the evidence. Grand juries.
in two separate districts reached this. conclusion based on his actions as. alleged in the indictments they. returned. Rather than accept his defeat in the. 2020 presidential election, President. Trump engaged in a criminal scheme to. overturn the results and prevent the. lawful transfer of power. Well, there. you have it everybody. Let me know what. you think. Hit subscribe.
