Dems FINALLY go on OFFENSE against CORRUPT Judge Cannon!!!
Democrats in the United States Senate. are calling out Donald Trump's stoogge. judge Eileen Cannon before the 11th. Circuit Court of Appeal. Of course, we're all focused on the collusive. settlement agreement that Donald Trump. entered into with the uh Treasury. Department and the IRS regarding the $10. billion uh lawsuit that waved all of. Trump's tax liability and created the. billion dollar slush fund for the. January 6th insurrectionist. And we. talked about the collusive nature of it, how it was likely unlawful, the.
investigations taking place there by a. federal judge in the Southern District. of Florida and a judge also in Virginia. But let's not forget also a collusive. arrangement between Donald Trump and his. individual capacity and the Trump DOJ in. the case before Judge Eileen Cannon. where the DOJ which is supposed to be. adverse to Donald Trump individually. where they joined forces and stipulated. before Judge Cannon that volume two of. special counsel Jack Smith's report this.
is the portion of Jack Smith's report. regarding the investigation into Donald. Trump's unlawful taking, concealing, hiding, and obstruction of classified. information at Mara Lago. Trump and the. DOJ stipulated that this document should. never see the light of day. When in. fact, with special counsel reports, they've always been released publicly. I. mean, when a special counsel report. concludes, the special counsel, in this. case, Jack Smith, goes before Congress. and gives testimony on it. And the.
special counsel can get grilled on what'. you make this, what was your finding, what was this. that's in the special. counsel statute to begin with. But. because Judge Eileen Cannon declared. that the very concept of a special. counsel doesn't exist, she and the DOJ. and Trump individually said, "Well, you. know what? Special counselss don't. exist. We don't need to produce the. special counsel report." I hereby order. that the special counsel investigation. never see the light of day, that nobody.
can see it at all. and she's been doing. things over the past number of years to. delay, delay, delay, delay. The 11th. Circuit had to basically issue an order. saying you have to make a ruling. She. then set a briefing schedule where she. asked Trump individually and the DOJ. what's their position. That's where they. basically entered into the stipul. stipulation saying you must hide this. document so it never gets released. Never release Jack Smith's volume two.
And you may recall in the past whenever. it was when Jack Smith testified um. before Congress, you you'll remember we. were covering it here, they refused to. allow him to answer questions on volume. two because of Judge Cannon's order and. the collusive nature of Trump and the. DOJ working together, you know, in this. fashion. So now we're in front of the. 11th Circuit Court of Appeal after Judge. Cannon's delayed for uh you know years. at this point to release volume two.
Democrats in the Senate led by Senator. Schiff have now filed a brief to the 11. Circuit and they've also just said in. this brief judge Cannon's like lying. about everything. Like it's very odd to. have a judge who's basically serving as. the lawyer for Trump in his individual. capacity. You know, she's claiming that. there's no legislative activity seeking. this. We Hello. We're the legislative. activity seeking this because under the. special counsel statute, we have a right. to see it. We want this. Release it to.
us. 11 Circuit Court of Appeal. Senator. Schiff writes, "Jack Smith's report on. Donald Trump's mishandling of classified. documents and obstruction of justice is. still hidden thanks to Trump's personal. lawyers taking over the DOJ. I'm filing. a brief joined by every member of the. judiciary dems to make it clear to the. court that the corrupt process that hid. the report must not prevail. Congress. and the public are entitled to the. truth. And you take a look at this. amicus brief. They write the following.
to the 11th Circuit Court of Appeals. They say um we must correct the record. Despite Judge Cannon, the district. court's assertion otherwise, members of. Congress, particularly minority members. of the Senate Judiciary Committee, had. made repeated official requests for the. special counsel report. Despite the. district court's assertion that no. pending legislative activity could be. aided by the release of the report, the. members request directly pertain to. their roles in advice and consent of.
presidential nominees, their legislative. prerogative, and the committee's. oversight authority. Furthermore, notwithstanding the district court's. assertion that transmittal to Congress. would jeopardize confidential material. and due process rights of defendants, numerous prior special counsel reports. have been transmitted to Congress. without incident. And in any event, the. defendants's cases have been fully. dismissed. While these appeals concern. public release large, the interests that. the Amit Damichi and other members of. Congress have in the materials are.
particularly silent. I want to bring in. Harry Litman from the Talking Fed. YouTube channel, Substack and Podcast. You know, this is the banana republic. stuff, Harry. This is the, you know, cloak and dagger, keep everything a. secret. You know, let's not let the. American people see what the special. counsel said. Jack Smith confidently. went in front of Congress and said, "Ask. me any questions. You want to attack me. on Fox, which I call state regime media, you you go do that. But here's your.
chance. I'm here. You want me for 12. hours. You want me for two days. You. want me for five days. I will be here. and defend this report. Jim Jordan, tough guy. James Comr, tough guy. Do it. You want to bring in your own special. lawyers to cross-examine? Do it. I want. to do it. No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no. We don't want We just. want to go on Fox and we just want to go. on Breitbart and we want to go on.
Newsmax and just spread our. conspiracies, but we're too afraid to. allow people to see the document and. cross-examine you because Harry, if. ultimately Jack Smith lies under oath, then prosecute Jack Smith and he said as. much. If Jack Smith can't defend what's. in the report, we'll be able to see that. live. We'll go, "Holy I thought. that he was, you know, knew what he was. do." you know, Jack Smith is standing. there confidently and you know, these. MAGAS who have been spreading these. lies, they don't want the truth coming.
out and that's the most telling thing. And the Democrats are out there saying. just release it. And and to me, Harry, that's everything. When it comes to the. Butler, Pennsylvania files, release it. Why Why are you hiding all when it comes. to the Epstein files? Release it. We're. We can deal with it. And I always say, who wants it secret? Who wants it. released? That often tells you. everything. Harry, what do you make of. it? >> It really is the fullon banana republic. model, Ben, because in the worst of.
banana republics, the judges, too, are. captured by the executive. And here we. have an example of a judge captured from. way back from her moment on the bench. So really, check out the incredible kind. of of bogus nature of the whole thing. So remember as you say she says Eileen. Cannon he's he's unconstitutionally. or illegally appointed an argument.
nobody buys. Justice Thomas had put it. not even asserting it but a as a. possible thing in a lone descent. She. jumps on that and then she dismisses the. cases and that's important against Nala. and Deala. So at that point we have no. cases pending. We have volume two about. the cases that used to be pending. And. as you say it would typically be a. foregone conclusion especially in a.
democracy but certainly in our democracy. that then that information belongs to. the people once it can no longer um. prejudice any pending proceedings. Notwithstanding which Canon says no. Uh. and and we we really do have the perfect. collusion here cuz the judge accepts. what submission now and deever say it. will it will prejudice us and hurt our. due process rights sort of to nothing.
because there's nothing pending against. them and lo and behold the department of. justice says yes we agree we you know we. on the other side of this case but of. course we're now familiar with this from. the slush fund but that was really the. first kind of extreme just clear. instance of it. They weren't on the. other side. They were on the same side. They were colluding. And even to the. point, as you say, when Smith testified. in public, the DOJ, you know, a few.
minutes before said, "You better follow. Canon's order or you could be in big. trouble." They are on the same side as. Donald Trump, as Nela and Dea just to. keep it from coming out. But it's got no. grounding in any kind of constitutional. basis. So you have on the one side the. um whatever possible interest in an. extinguished case that no longer is. anything any jeopardy at all to them as.
against the entire public. Oh, and what. else? The Congress. because Canon's. ruling actually says and there's no. valid legislative purpose, you know, and. that again you can only see in sort of. banana Republic terms. Excuse me. There. there um would be it's self-evident that. there's a congressional purpose here in. terms of oversight, but in case it. wasn't self-evident, the five or six or. eight requests from Congress to the DOJ.
ought to make it very clear. So both. sides of her ruling, one that there's. some real problem even though the cases. are completely dead done and buried and. that's because the DOJ again on the same. side after she dismissed them went to. the 11th circuit and says we don't agree. uh we agree with uh the poor defendants. on the other side. We're not even going. to appeal the dismissal. were laying.
down and therefore the cases end. Uh. therefore any conceivable legitimate. interest of now and dee Olivera end. Um. but uh nevertheless you have canon. saying we're not going to release it. anyway and let's cut to the chase. Why. not? And why do now tenda take this. position? And why does the department of. justice take this position on the same. side as the former defendants? because. Donald Trump doesn't want volume two out.
just cuz as he doesn't want anything out. that contradicts his Orwellian fantasy. version of what happened during his. presidency which was in reality a whole. kind of uh crime spree but he wants to. completely rewrite. So a judge here, the. defendants uh are abetting it and. including this really outrageous um. itself sort of sanctionable opinion by.
the judge just completely averting her. eyes and saying there's no legislative. possible meaning. Okay. But now we are. in the 11th circuit. It's been there a. long time. They've just recently taken. it off calendar. there may be certain. kinds of of um you know judicial um. complications that we don't know about. We we've known for a while they're. really aware of this case, really aware. of the uh of Canon and how she's harming.
the reputation of the whole bench. Uh. you might have thought uh that there was. we'd hear oral argument by now. It was. originally set for this week. We haven't. yet. I don't know what the story is, but. I I think this it just will not cannot. happen that canon and uh is able that. that the system keeps this report. bottled up basically because Donald. Trump wants it to. The truth on this.
will out and it'll be remember this was. the case. Um, and obviously what Trump. did January 6 was more heinous, but this. case was more clear. He just completely. obstructed. The case here was. overwhelming. And when volume two of the. Smith report comes out, we're going to. see it was overwhelming. Serious crimes. of the sort that other people have done. have been uh, you know, completely. punished for. January 6 is sort of its.
own kind of precedent, right? But here. he's a criminal. He should have been uh. punished and but for the the weird um. appe both but for both the weird. election but also but for canon being. the unlucky draw on the case. This would. have been a straightforward layup for. the justice system. Instead, it was. foiled at every turn. And even in its. aftermath. with no possible defense, we continue as.
the American people and Congress not to. have the facts and not even to say them. lest uh the uh court kind of come down. on us for violating the order. >> Yep. And now we have a crook and a. criminal who's destroying the country. and destroying the world. when uh if you. look at what was going on in Brazil with. Bolsinaro, you look at what was. happening in South Korea with their. insurrectionist other other countries. that used to look to the United States. justice system where we would send our.
top lawyers there. Oh, this is how you. do it. This is a system that we're Yeah. You know, their systems worked and our. system really collapsed in a critical. moment and and you layer on top of that. a extremist right-wing Supreme Court. given this guy absolute immunity and you. have um the hell that's been unleashed. on this country and the world when you. don't hold people accountable on law. >> I'm sorry, but the layer on top of that. which is the whole effort so.
totalitarian to literary literally. whitewash history. It's amazing. >> Yeah. And with complicit people like. Judge Cannon, you know, these are. people, you know, you know, Trump's a. psychopath and and now we know that. Judge Cannon is too, it's uh just. shouldn't be surprising, but going. through the reps of law school and being. a law professor and being in a community. of top lawyers and you know, you know, the fact that someone like a Todd Blanch. chases, you know, this insatiable power.
over law and order, you know, how people. so easily get rid of their oath is. something I I'll never understand. I I I. I never will get it. But, you know, I'm. not sure how they sleep at night or or. how, you know, I I think they sleep by. or not sleep by wanting us all to feel. whatever the pain is that they feel and. spread it. Anyway, everybody subscribe. that positive. A very quick note is the. first signature to this brief Ben is. Adam Schiff and uh he is going to be I'm.
going to maybe talk to him about it. because he's coming to uh San Diego a. week from Friday July 3rd 10:30 in the. morning and we're going to have a. one-on-one conversation as we do uh in. with talking San Diego and talking San. Diego.net has all the kind of info on. it. But I was uh interested to see him. at the top of the brief of all the. senators. >> Everybody hit subscribe. Help us get to. 7 million subscribers.
