🚨Canada AND EUROPE make DEAL TRUMP FEARED…
This is the deal that Donald Trump. feared and it is happening right before. the midterms. Canada is not backing down. and Canada just forged a deal with the. European Union to become an associate. member of the EU and to provide a. pathway to become said associate member. of the European Union. In Montreal. today, you had Prime Minister Carney. joined by the president of the European.
Union Commission, Ursula Vanderion, and. the President of the European Council, Antonio Casta. And they talked about. this unprecedented relationship with. Canada on the path to becoming an. associate member. Now, Prime Minister. Carney said, "Whether you call us an. associate member or whatever, this isn't. a marketing ploy. This is real. integration with the European Union as. Canada says bye-bye to the United.
States. You done screwed this up and we. are over. Not only did they say that. before, but they're saying here is a. structure that we are setting up to make. sure we're no longer dependent on. despicable Trump regimes and your. behavior. Now, Prime Minister Carney and. Ursula Vanderline and Antonio Costa. talked about how this associate member. status, it's basically all of the uh. benefits, all of the relationships and.
association with the European Union. without actually becoming a EU member. So, let me show you what went down. Then. we'll take a look at just the signing. ceremony as agreement after agreement. after agreement, deal after deal was. signed by Prime Minister Carney and EU. officials. But let's talk about what. Prime Minister Carney said in Montreal. This incredible announcement. Here's. what Prime Minister Carney said today. The European Union and Canada are.
launching something very special. Here, play this clip. Today, the European. Union and Canada are launching the. Alliance for the Future, a new. partnership of nations that will. leverage our strategic capabilities. and a variable geometry of like-minded. nations to address common issues. The. alliance will focus on increasing our. collective sovereignty and resilience in. areas such as AI, energy, critical. minerals, quantum, and beyond.
And in parallel and at the foundation, we are working towards the deepest. possible partnership short of accession. because of our geography. with Canada becoming the European. Union's first associate member. In the. coming months, we will determine the. full substance, scale, and scope of this. new form of membership. The presidents. and I will meet periodically to track.
progress. In March, we will convene the. College of the European Commissioners. and our federal cabinet here in Canada. to advance this work. And in June, I. have accepted President Costa's. invitation to attend the European. Council meetings where we intend by that. point to conclude these negotiations and. discussions. The prime minister cardi. then talks about what that means. Canada.
being an associate member, what type of. opportunity we're talking about. Let's. play this clip. Canada being an associate member of the. European Union creates opportunity that. starts with our young people. We'll begin negotiations to expand our. participation in Arasmus Plus, Europe's. worldrenowned student and skills. exchange program. So what does that. mean? It means through this program, a. Canadian student can pursue their. studies in Barcelona just as easily as.
they could at McGill. It means an. apprentice welder in Manitoba can bring. or could complete their placement with. an employer in Italy, bringing new. skills back home. More from Prime Minister Carney over. here talking about how Canada and. European Union members will now leverage. each other's strengths for the mutual. benefit for free trade for innovation.
for uh military support across the. paniply of ways to cooperate. Play this. clip. Through our new partnership, Canada is launching negotiations to join. Galileo, Europe's positioning, navigation, and timing system. This will. strengthen the reliability of GPS. services across Canada, very much. including the Arctic, building our. resilience with our most trusted. partner. We're deepening cooperation on. semiconductors.
We're taking the first steps towards new. transatlantic and potentially. transarctic data cables. The point is. we're leveraging and complementing each. other's strengths and building our. resistance, our resilience, creating. more choice, ensuring that we are not. beholden to others. More from Prime. Minister Carney over here where he was. asked by a reporter, so is Trump. welcomed into this or like what's the. deal with that? And Prime Minister. Carney just kind of laughed and said, on.
to the other question here. Play this. clip. Um, would President Trump be. welcome in the Alliance for the Future? >> Thank you. >> Okay, on uh your first question, >> let me show you the EU's. uh president or the European Council. President um Antonio Casta. He talked. about how special the relationship is. with Canada. Play this clip. 50 years ago, our first framework.
agreement spoke on common heritage and. especially affinity and the shared. aspirations that unite us. Today, the. time has come to build a broader and. deeper political and institutional. partnership. One that reflects the major. partners, strategic allies, and close. friends we have become. That's why we are starting a never.
closer association. Our relationship is so special that we. want to create something new to go. beyond a simple association. Everything. short of a full EU membership. Our association will be the closest, deepest and most unique of its kind. We will do it through closer engagement. at the highest political level and by.
identifying shared priorities and. coordinating our responses to common. challenges. We are already putting this. into practices. More from Antonio Casta, the president of the European Council. where he talks about, you know, Prime. Minister Carney was invited, you. remember we covered it over here to. Yeravan where there was the European. Council meeting uh in Armenia and it was. also a big deal that it was being held. in Armenia because Armenia was obviously.
a previous Soviet country and allied. with Russia. So doing it in Armenia was. also a statement for Armenia moving more. towards the EU um and away from Russia. And here's what Costa had to say about. the role of Canada at that very powerful. conference. Remember when we were. covering that here on the Midas touch. network? I told you it was a very big. deal. Let's play it. Dear Mark, I was. delighted to welcome you in the Aravan. last May as the first non-European.
leader to attend a European political. comm community summit and we look. forward to welcome you again in Dublin. in two weeks. >> Then we heard from the European Union. Commission President Ursula Vanderion. where she says Canada is the most. important European country outside of. Europe. It goes beyond geography. It's. about values. It's about principles. Here, play this clip. >> Canada is the most European country. outside Europe. Because what brings us.
together. goes far beyond geography. We see the world through the same eyes. What matters nowadays is not where a. country is on the map, but what it is. ready to build with us and what it. stands for in a world of fierce. geopolitical headwinds. These headwinds won't stop blowing. This change is permanent. And now it is.
time to act with confidence and with. vision to build a new future. More from. European Union's Ursula Vanderline about. this concept of associate membership is. unchartered territory. But we have. ambition. We have something that's the. most valuable commodity today. You know. what it is? It's trust and it is. creativity. Here, play this clip. >> Yes. The concept of an associate member. is uncharted territory. But we have the.
ambition, trust and creativity to shape it. together. And to be crystal clear, this is a. partnership not against anyone else but. for our common strength. >> More from the European Union Commission. President Ursula Vanderline about this. idea of association without assession. We can replace the term assession with a. common ambition and vision. Play this.
clip. >> And this is what makes today's summit so. unique and as you said so historic. Today we haven't looked backwards but. only forward. setting out a vision for the future. We both want to bring our relationship. to the highest level possible. So at the summit, one of the main points. we discussed was the idea of Canada. becoming an associate member to the.
European Union. And our idea is simple. It is an association. without accession because the treaties. are clear and don't allow allow it. A. country outside Europe cannot join the. European Union. But we can replace the. term accession. with a common ambition and vision. We can build a sha partnership that. comes closer to membership than anything.
we've done before. with three clear objectives. More. opportunities for our people, more. prosperity on both sides of the. Atlantic, and greater security for all. of us. More from Ursula Vanderline over here. about Canada fighting side by side with. Ukraine as Donald Trump continues to. throw Ukraine under the bus and. continues to threaten Zalinski and as. Donald Trump props up Russia every dang. day here. Play this clip.
>> Canada has always been at the side of. Ukraine and the Ukrainian people and we. thank you for that. Now I also think. about this meeting in Russia at the same. time you have the G20 foreign ministers. meeting in Atlanta that's now taking. place where the Trump regime invited. Sergey Lavrov Russia's foreign minister. to the Atlanta summit. Also, the Trump. regime doing a lot of diesel deals with. Russia and other deals with Russia we're.
learning are on the horizon from Carell. Ditriv who is Russia's sovereign wealth. fund leader and also the envoy to the. United States. And um EU's Ursula Vander. Lion says look we would have loved to. discuss membership but we know Canada. can't be an official member not really. it's not located physically in Europe. and you know as Charlie Angus who leads. Midas Canada has said it's better this. way there's a lot of bureaucracy in the. European Union so Canada gets the. association doesn't have to deal with.
all the bureaucracy it's a win-win here. play this clip. >> there's a broad support and shared. ambition among the member states but you. also. experiences in the European Parliament, a vast majority that is for the fact to. bring Canada closer to the European. Union. We would have loved to discuss. about membership, full-fledged. membership, but it is impossible. We. know that and therefore we are exploring. the closest ever association to the um.
membership in the European Union. And. this is the start of an intense work. that we see here. We have the vision, we. have an idea, we have to develop the. framework, we have to fill it with life. now. But on one thing, I'm absolutely. sure having spoken uh a lot about this. idea in the last weeks that is the broad. support to have Canada much much closer. to the European Union. >> Prime Minister Carney also addressed. this idea of associate membership and as. I described before he says this is not a.
marketing exercise because you call it. associate membership. whatever you name. it is less relevant to me than what. we're actually doing together because. we're not just doing some stunt. This is. real. This is also a significant move. away from the United States. generationally. And this is the damage that Trump has. done to the United States because as I. said, you know, yeah, there'll be a. future president in the United States. and let's say the Democrats win the.
White House in 2028 and 2029. Canada's always still going to remember. like are you going to vote another. Trump? Are you going to bring in a JD or. a Rubio or a Hgsith or one of these. lunatics who's just going to go back? We. have to protect our sovereignty from the. next iteration of you bringing in. another dictator lunatic. So we we'll. we'll we can still do more business. together. We're appreciative, but you've. done lost our trust. You've lost our.
trust. Listen to what Carney has to say. play this clip. >> on Canada EU. Uh you've said that the. words, the semantics don't matter. Uh. but we know that some European states. believe it does matter the words. So I. wonder how you feel about Madame Bonder. and even today saying your mutual goal. is associate membership in the EU. >> The I think the look there are they. don't matter from our perspective. Um. the nomenclature doesn't matter. What. matters what what matters to Canadians.
ultimately from this uh this new. alliance is going to be affordability. It's going to be opportunity uh. opportunity for young Canadians uh to. live, travel, study uh opportunities for. our researchers uh to plug into one of. the most uh advanced research networks. across a wide range of domains. opportunities, greater opportunities for. our companies, um, cultural. opportunities for Canadians. And at the. base of this, and this is why we began,
I began at least with the national. security strategy. This uh, new alliance. is not a marketing exercise. The name. doesn't matter. What matters is that the. complimentarities of our two. jurisdictions. uh strengthen our sovereignty. strengthens Europe sovereignty various. strategic autonomies critical minerals. energy other aspects AI the partnership. here is a classic example of that you.
see it in the partnership can between. cohhere with Germany and then and then. more broadly um and similar. complimentarities for Canada and why. does sovereignty matter in a dangerous. and divided world. It allows us to. withstand shocks. It means that we're. not held up uh by some country or some. technology company that wants to dictate. how we're going to live our lives. It. allows us to live our lives as we. choose. And as I said at the start, in. the greatest country of the in the world.
and all the diversity that that brings. I'll show you some of the signing. ceremonies. We can run some B-roll here. if we want to. Canada and EU signed the. political agreement on negotiations for. the digital trade agreement. You know, Donald Trump always attacks the digital. trade and we don't like your digital. sovereignty. Well, they're forging a. closer reliance on their digital trade. agreements. Canada and EU signed the. administrative arrangement between the. European Commission and natural. resources in Canada. Canada and EU.
signed an administrative agreement. between the European Commission and. Canada's space agency on space secure. connectivity cooperation. Let's be clear. what that's about. That's about Starlink. and Star Shield and Musk throttling the. use of Starlink and Star Shield at Elon. Musk's whim as he's just done with. Ukraine and has he'll threaten to do. with the rest of the world. So, you have. Europe and Canada. They need to create. their own SpaceX. They need to create. their own uh companies that are not.
dependent on the Musk and Trump cartel. You've got them also signing the joint. declaration on Canada's participation in. the European high performance and. computing computing joint undertaking. So you've got all of that going on as. well. So a very big day for Canada, for. Europe, a very bad day for Donald Trump. And let's just face it though. And I, you know, it's a bad day for America, though, you know, because, and I mean.
this sincerely, I mean, I'm appreciative. of Canada going elbows up. It's been a. shining example for the world about. protecting your sovereignty and punching. back. Most Americans though love. Canadians and we love Canada and we want. to be allies with Canada and we hate. what the Trump regime is doing. And so. when you have this abusive and. disgusting vile sex predator piece of. trash in the Oval Office that has. severed a relationship with Canada where. Canada's moved on, it's still sad as an,
you know, it's still sad as an American. to see. And I know there'll be future. administrations which will do their best. to restore the trust. And I say do their. best because Canada's going to be very. skeptical of any future presidency here. And I and I totally get it. And I just. want to also say how grateful, how. honored I am to stand. shoulder-to-shoulder and to stand in. solidarity with you, the Canadians, against the Trump regime and the. government here in the United States.
That's a vile piece of crap, sex. predator protecting government here. And. um you know, you've been a shining. example. It's been an honor of my. lifetime to fight with you. And thanks. everyone in Canada who got WTF America. It's one of the best sellers in Canada. right now. And so we're grateful for. that. I've seen the displays at the. various Canadian bookstores of W. It's. been an hon. It's been such a freaking. honor. Um, to all the Maple Midas out. there. Thanks everybody. Appreciate you. WTF America is officially out now. My. brothers and I wrote it, but this book. is also about you, the millions who.
