We Interviewed The Girl Behind The $4k TikTok Hair Disaster!
This girl is going viral all over Tik. Tok right now because she paid $4,000 to. get her hair done. And then she took to. Tik Tok sharing her not so pleasant. experience. >> So that is just the price of Chrissy. touching your hair. >> And the internet is going crazy over. this, saying things like she got. completely scammed, taken advantage of, and even that she needs to sue the hair. salon. So we reached out to have her on. the podcast so she can finally tell her. full story that everybody has been. begging to hear. So, I hope you enjoyed.
this episode because this drama is. absolutely crazy. So, we have today with. us not famous. >> Hey guys. So, at the end when I got my. hair like all finished, Chrissy comes up. to me and she's like, "All right, uh, you're all done." And then she's like. grabbing stuff off the shelf. She's. like, "Take this, take that, take this.". And I'm like, "Oh, okay." Like, at that. point, I thought it was complimentary to. the $4,000 service that I had. >> No, she gave you a bag of shampoo and. conditioner. >> She didn't even hand me the bag. She. handed the person like at the counter. the bag. And I'm just like, "What is. going on?" The total bill was what? >> It was 4,237.
Oh [laughter] my gosh. >> What's up, guys? Welcome back to another. episode. Uh, today is going to be a very. interesting one. >> Dude, I'm excited. >> I know the drama. >> Yeah. So, uh, as you guys know, there's. been some Tik Tok drama or lore. Uh, >> he just learned what that word meant. like today. You said [laughter] it like. does mean drama, right? >> Yeah. Okay. >> It means like backstory. >> Okay. What it means more like backstory. Wait, is that true? >> No, it's like it's it's like both. It's. like what's the lore? It's like you want.
to know the drama and the backstory, I. guess. >> Okay. Well, anyways, uh today we're. about to do the lore, the drama, all and. all of the above. Um so, we have today. with us. >> not. Hey guys, [laughter]. >> can you tell the people what your real. name is? >> You don't have to, but. >> I want to like keep it like not famous, YOU KNOW, LIKE she doesn't want her name. to be famous. [laughter]. >> No, cuz the whole thing is like not. being famous, you know? That's true. >> Yeah. No, that makes sense. That makes. sense. Already building a brand. Let's. go. [laughter]. >> Wait. Yeah. Were So, were you trying to. become an influencer? >> Um, before this I was posting a lot of.
like real estate videos trying to like. promote it a little bit and it was doing. pretty good, but I was trying before. >> Oh, okay. Nice. And you chose not famous. as like your tag before that. >> I had a different name before. >> Oh, what was it? >> Oh, but then when this happened, >> I can't say it because it's it's my real. name. [laughter]. >> Before I posted the video, I changed my. name to not famous so that way it like. went more with the. >> So, during the episode, just to be. clear, we're supposed to call you not. famous. >> I mean, yeah. I got it. Yes. But she. told me earlier. >> Did you know her? Oh, she told you her. name. Oh, do you guys know her name?
>> Uh, no. >> Wow. >> It's a mystery. >> I felt almost bad when she got here cuz. I was like, "Wait a second. I don't know. her real name." I was like, "I only know. her as not famous." And [laughter] I was. like, "Oh, man. I'm going to look like. the guy that invited someone to be on. their podcast that has no idea who they. are." All right. Well, let's go ahead. and get into it. I'm sure you guys have. seen the video. >> When you're not famous and you go to. Chrissy, she doesn't actually spend time. on your hair. So, uh, do you just want. to kind of tell us from the very very. beginning like what happened? Like why. did you book this appointment and. everything? Cuz we just want to we just. want to figure it out and just lay it.
clear for. >> There's a lot to unpack I feel like. >> Yeah. >> Yeah. Well, to start, the reason I. booked the appointment in the first. place was because I've gone to a lot of. hair stylists and like a lot of them. can't get my color right. I don't know. I I was like naturally like a strawberry. blonde, so it's kind of hard for them to. get like to a really like bright color. with my hair and like it stay. So, I. originally booked with Christy because I. saw so many Tik Toks like blowing up of. like all these like influencers like. getting their hair done, I was like, I. need to do that. And like with real. estate doing good and everything, I was.
like, you know what? Like why not have. like a once in a-lifetime experience? I. knew that it was going to be a lot of. money. Um, but I didn't originally want. to pay the 4K. That's why I like brought. my own extensions to make it a little. bit cheaper just to be more realistic. >> I didn't even know you. >> Oh, yeah. I didn't know that. >> Wait, you brought your own extensions? I. brought my own extensions in to her. salon and I was like even texting like. with the with her assistants that I was. going to bring my own in extensions in. Oh my gosh, I can't talk. But yeah, and. so they were like cool with it and. everything, but when I showed up it kind. of changed. >> Okay, wait. Don't tell us that part yet.
I want back up to you were doing real. estate and posting real estate stuff. What made you just think, "Oh yeah, I'm. just going to randomly post like a hair. video." Well, um, so going back to the. very beginning after I got my hair done. with Chrissy. Um, about a couple about a. week or two later, we were in LA for my. boyfriend's birthday dinner. And before. the dinner, he actually went surfing and. I was so uncomfortable with my hair. because it has like a mustache on it, which is like. >> Oh, wait. I'm sorry.
>> Extra a mustache. [laughter] Yeah, it's. called like a mustache in like the hair. world which is like on the actual we. there's like little hairs at the front. that just like poke into your head and. it hurts so bad and the ext and I didn't. even know that those were on the. extensions. I thought that it was like. the infinity W which doesn't. >> Okay, wait. So, a mustache is part of it. extensions. >> Yeah. >> Well, it's like when an extension is. like low-key malfunctioning like. [laughter] like it's not supposed to be. like that. >> Oh, okay. Okay. >> Yeah. And so, um. >> and this is after you got your hair. done? >> Yeah. We were at we were about to go to. his birthday dinner and he went surfing.
So I was like, "You know what? I'm gonna. try to go to like um a salon." This was. after I got my hair done by her because. I was so uncomfortable. So I went to a. random salon like in LA and they just. like washed my hair, kind of like tried. to tone it a little bit. >> and we went to the birthday dinner and I. was just like telling him like how. uncomfortable I was and his mom was. like, "What's going on?" And I like told. her the whole story and she actually. told me to like speak out. She was like, "You should make a TikTok video.". because she knows that I was like always. trying to like make content and stuff. And so she originally gave me the idea.
and which is why I even posted the video. in the first place cuz I never even had. that idea. Like I wasn't like, "Oh, I'm. going to try to post a video and get. famous." Like literally like people were. telling me to do it and I was like maybe. that's a good idea. Like. >> yeah. >> Hey guys, WE ARE OFFICIALLY STARTING OUR. [cheering] OVERSEAS tour very soon. And. if you live in Manchester, you're going. to want to listen to this because. tickets for Manchester are finally on. sale, baby. So, go get your tickets to. Manchester. We also have London, Ireland, Melbourne, and Sydney, Australia. All these tickets are.
officially on sale right now. So, guys, go get your tickets. If you want to see. us on tour this March, guys, we are so. excited to see all you guys and we'll. SEE YOU ON TOUR, BABY. GO TO the. lolodcast.net. Peace. Okay. So, go back to before where you. were saying like, "Oh, real estate's. doing good. Why don't I just go ahead. and book the appointment?" Like, why. not? Yeah. >> So, you brought you texted her people. and you're like, "Hey, I'm bringing my. own extensions." And then where what.
happened after that? >> So, I text them that I was bringing my. own extensions and that I kind of want I. sent them like my inspo pick, which was. a different inspo pick originally, and. they were just like, "Oh, well, we can't. like dye the extensions because blah. blah blah." I don't know. It was. probably because it wasn't like their. brand extensions. So, they were like, "We can't really do much with it." And I. was like, "Okay, like as long as you can. just like lighten up my hair, that's. fine.". >> And then when I got there, >> they were just like saying that the. extensions were like like not like they. didn't say that it was ugly, but they.
were just saying things around it. Just. like saying like. >> that they're not as good, like cheap or. something. >> Well, no, not like cheap. They were just. like the color like for what I wanted. She said that it wasn't like ideal for. the inspo pics I was showing her. Wait, do you have a picture of these. extensions before they went in your. hair? >> Of like these? >> Yeah. >> Wait, no. You're saying the original? >> The original extensions. >> The ones you brought. >> The ones I brought. I have like a video. I don't have like a direct like picture, but I have like a picture of me like. wearing ones that are like the same. color like that.
>> Yeah. Yeah. >> Um, let me see. Do you want me to find. it? >> If you can. If you can. >> We'll just pop it up on the screen. >> Yeah. If you want to send it to us. after. >> Yeah. Yeah. >> Yeah. >> But was it a Jurassic? Like in your head. at least, was it a drastic different in. color than your hair right now? >> No. I feel like when I left, I really. couldn't even tell a difference like in. the color of my hair from when I had the. extensions. Like obviously my natural. hair was a little bit of a different. color than the extensions I came in. with, but my hair felt brighter when I. got there rather than when I left.
>> Wow. Okay. So, they were basically like. telling you like, "Hey, like these. extensions ain't you don't want these in. your head." And so were you just kind of. in the spot of like do I like buy the. ones they're telling me to buy right now. or like. >> I feel like I didn't really have a. choice because like there there like. imagine like I'm a young girl obviously. like having like 10 girls around you. telling you like. >> Yes. Because we all three of us have us. three have been to Christy before. We. all I I went one time, Mav went a few. times and Cash went one time and so I.
remember cuz I was like I think I was 17. when I got my hair done by her. >> Wait, you went multiple times? Yes. Oh. >> yeah. I was like 17 when I got my hair. done by Chrissy and I remember like it. was like one of the first few times I. was in LA and yeah like having that many. just like assistants around your chair. just like curling your hair like it is. intimidating like. >> but it's also cool. >> I mean you kind of feel like oh yeah. like it's cool but also I I could. understand how when there's like 10 of. those girls just around you like you. don't want these. It's like. >> maybe I thought it was cool cuz I was 17. and there was 10 girls around me. [laughter]. >> Yeah. Anyways, go on.
>> Yeah. But like you said, like it's it's. a cool experience, which is why like. originally I did it. I was like, I want. to have like a once in a lifetime. experience. Like I didn't know like. ideally if I was going to go back to her. just because of like pricewise, but I. wanted to go and like have a good. experience. It was just like shocking. that she didn't actually do my hair like. at all. >> So the extensions that you have, they. >> Wait, I have one quick question if I can. ask you. The the hair extensions when. when you came in, were they already on. your head? >> So I had. >> or did you have them like to be put on?
I have had extensions since for like a. year now coming up because I got them. last December. I started actually. wearing extensions. Um, so I had a brand. new thing of extensions in my head that. I had got. >> So they took out the extensions. >> Yes. But I also had another pack because. my old hairdresser accidentally ordered. two orders like my card. >> Oh, so you had brand new ones? >> Yeah, brand new like in the box. Brand. new. And then I had brand new ones in my. hair. >> and the brand new ones in the box is the. ones they were like you don't want to. use these. >> Yeah. >> Just cuz the color cuz the color. was.
literally like brighter than this, which. is like more the inspo pick that I was. that I had shown. >> That is kind of weird. >> Interesting. Okay. >> Well, I guess also part of it is. probably because um Chrissy like has her. own salon and stuff, but she also has. like her own extensions like line that. she sells. So, obviously like in her own. salon, she's going to be pushing like. her brand to her clients, >> right? >> So, that's like probably where her team. is coming from. >> Yeah. I feel like if if that's like what. she wanted, then she would only do her.
brand extensions. >> Yeah. No, that that would be like I. would imagine that she would be like, "Oh, sorry. Like I only install like. have it extensions.". >> Yeah. Yeah. >> But she told So when you were going in, your assumption was that you were going. to be able to use these extensions, but. when you sat down in the chair, you kind. of felt overwhelmed because there were. so many people and then you felt like. you had to buy extensions that they were. telling you to buy. I felt like in order. to get to my ino pick that I had to buy. the extensions because it felt like it. was almost unrealistic for them to do my. hair at that point.
>> They were making it seem impossible. >> which is why like I was like okay well I. want this hair so I'm just going to do. what she said. Like me and Chrissy had a. conversation in the beginning and like. the minute I had with her in the. beginning was very like. >> okay if I buy these extensions will you. promise that it's going to look exactly. like the picture? And she was like I. promise. >> She was like just let us take over. And. I was like, "Okay, I trust you." So, I. was like feeling good and then I just. didn't. >> Yeah, >> it wasn't. >> Then how how much were the extensions? >> Um, so I think there was like. >> Can we throw up, by the way, the inspo.
pick and then what you got? >> Yeah. >> Okay. >> Okay, we'll pop pop that up right now. >> Yeah. Um, but I think the just my. extensions in itself was like a thousand. because you can see like on the receipt. like the I think it was like coconut. cream and then the other one underneath. and they were each like 500 something. I. think the color I got. >> Really? >> Yeah. When I when I got my hair done. that one time, I remember thinking that. was a cute name. I was like, "Oh, coconut cream.". >> Wait, so if the extensions were only. $1,000 because the total bill was what? >> It was $4,237,
I think. >> Oh my [laughter] god. >> Something. I don't know. >> But I'll be real. I'll be real though. No, no, no. DON'T BREEZE BY THAT. NO. >> Like that's someone's That was more. That's literally more than the mortgage. on our house. [laughter]. >> I literally was like the mortgage on our. house. Yes. like the monthly payment. Oh, listen. [laughter] What? >> I gota I I I'll be honest. I have feel. like I I need to defend Chrissy there. though a little bit on $4,000. Like Yes. Yes. It's a lot of money. >> It's a lot of money. It's It's literally.
like a car. >> Yeah. >> But if you have people that are going to. pay that. >> No, that's true. >> Then. >> why not charge. >> I'm not saying that it's. >> Yeah. Like Gucci charges a ton for a. t-shirt that is only because of the. brand% like if I own any company or. anything. I'm going to charge what. people will pay. Like you're. >> Yeah. Like a tattoo artist that's really. really good. >> Yeah. Yeah. >> Charges a ton as a tattoo artist. >> But it's still expensive. >> But if you go to a cheap tattoo artist, you might can get the same result, but.
probably not. So it's like I know in. your situation, you're like, "Oh, I paid. a lot and I got the crappy tattoo." Is. how you feel. So it's like that's that's. >> I don't know. I just think 4,000 is. insane. I've never heard that much for. hair. I've never heard that much for. hair. But. >> if that's what your clients are willing. to pay, I don't see a problem. >> This. also Chrissy like her her program that. she does. >> the way she does it is she gives I know. like sometimes complimentary hair and. stuff like that to like different. influencers. >> This is like the thing because if like.
she if so many people are getting like. free hair then like at what point. >> I don't know how many but I'm just. saying I know that they do something. >> Exactly. And so it's like she charges. normal people so much maybe to make up. for that price. >> That's what I'm saying. It's not even. like the brand that you're getting. You're literally paying for other people. to get their hair done because she does. so much. >> Yeah. But that's kind of how she gets. people in the door. Does that make. sense? Like if you're doing Ariana. Grande's hair, I'm not saying she does. Ariana's, but if you're like, "Oh, I do. Ariana Grande's hair and Ariana Grande. posting about it." You're going to get a. lot of people in and then you can charge. more because you have more clients than. you have time. Does that make sense?
>> No. No. I I 100% get that. I'm not. saying that that's wrong or anything, but I'm saying that at the end of the. day, $4,000 something dollars is. >> But if people are GOING TO PAY IT, >> I'M not saying it's wrong. I'm not. saying that. All I'm saying is. >> But I'm saying that's also like people. getting mad at us for how much we charge. for a meeting. >> I'm not saying it's wrong. >> Like we can only meet so many people. >> What are you saying? I'm not saying it's. wrong or getting mad. I'm saying that's. just crazy. >> That's all I'm saying. >> It is a lot. Yeah. >> It's just $4,000 for. >> Sorry, they are you a lot. >> No, it's okay. >> No, it's a lot of money. Like me. personally, I would have paid $4,000 for.
[laughter]. >> I have a question though. >> I don't care how much money I make. >> I've seen other people that have gone to. her before and they're like they got a. cost breakdown before they even walked. into the salon like from her assistance. >> Wait, say that again. >> People who I'd seen other people after. you posted your video, I'd seen people. that had gone to Chrissy, not as an. influencer who was getting free hair, but they said that they got um like a. cost breakdown of how much it would cost. to go get their hair done before they. ever showed up to the salon. Did you get. that? Okay. Hey, I'm sorry. I know you. guys hate when we interrupt the podcast.
like this, but trust me, you're going to. want to hear this one. >> Our holiday merch is dropping next. Friday, November 28th. >> Yeah. On Black Friday, we are bringing a. bunch of new designs to you guys. We. have one of my favorite designs. Actually, the sketch tea is going to be. put on a crew neck. We're putting a. Bible verse on both a hoodie and a. t-shirt. It's our favorite verse, Isaiah. 41:10. And then we're also going to have. a little LOL pod baby tea and long. sleeve tea for you guys. This collection. we are so excited about. So, if you guys. want to get your hands on this, make. sure to go to the loopodcast.net.
next Friday, November 28th. >> So, when I was texting the assistants, she was like, "Okay, just make your. deposit of like $895 cuz it's supposed. to be. >> the deposit was $800.". >> Sorry, I know my face looks shocked cuz. it is shocked. But again, if people are. willing to pay that, I think that's okay. to charge. I just It's just a lot of. money. [laughter]. >> Okay. Anyways, go on. >> Yeah, but the deposit that I paid was. $895 cuz it was supposed to be exactly. half of what your service was supposed. to be. Okay. >> And since I was bringing my own. extensions, it was only $895. But when. you go.
>> So the So the total was like $1,800ish. $1,700. >> Yeah. Or like around. >> that's what you thought it would be, $,800, >> right? That's what I was expecting to. pay with the extensions when you walked. in the door. >> And I feel like 1,700 is I mean, I know. extensions are expensive. That's like. more normal, right? >> Oh, she wasn't buying extensions. She. was bringing them. And also say, >> but it's also like you're going I mean, yes, it's more normal, but again, you're. going to a luxury salon. >> It was for the You're paying for the. experience. >> Yeah. Well, the the 17 $1,800 was just. for her to take out my old extensions,
put her my new my extensions that I. brought in my head, and then color my. head. That's all that that was for. >> Yeah. Right. >> But um Yeah. So, initially when you pay. the deposit, you can see like color. I. think the color was 895. >> and then you could see like the. >> which is what she's really good at. >> Yeah. Like that's what people go there. for a lot is the color. >> Yeah. But I think like new extensions. they don't have it directly on their. website because it's like how much can. fit in your head cuz like every like. weft costs you a certain amount, right?
So you could do like you could see like. coconut cream like times four or times. five on the wrist. >> You got big head, you're going to pay. for a lot. [laughter]. >> Well, if you have like thick hair, they. do more thick hair like. >> like things like that. >> Yeah. >> Okay. So the cost was like $17ish $100. $1,800. And then so so so $1,700. [laughter]. Even if you add a grand to that for the. extensions, that's only 2,700. Where did. the other money come from? >> The other part is the Chrissy ex the. Chrissy service charge, which is I think.
2,900. something. >> Wait, wait, hold on. What are you. talking about? >> 2000. What is it? I don't. >> 2000 something, right? >> It's 2000 something. I think it's close. to three. It's It's 2,999. That's what. it is. Cuz everyone is saying, >> "Wait, what?" No, no, no. What are you. talking about? >> The Chrissy experience. >> No, [laughter] cuz she already paid the. 1,800 to get her hair done. >> No, no, no. I didn't. No. >> No. She's paying 1,800 for like to just. go sit in that salon chair and whoever's. in the salon can do her hair, but you.
have to pay extra for Chrissy herself to. come over and work ON YOUR HAIR. >> OH, WAIT. Is it Is that. >> Actually, that's what it is. >> I don't know because I booked with. Chrissy. So, it's like when you book. with Chrissy, you're automatically. charged that Chrissy service, which I. think the Chrissy service, like when I. think about it, I think it's paying all. those 10 people to sit around you and do. your hair at once. You know what I mean? So, I think you're paying more people to. do your hair at once instead of just. like one person. But, it's a Chrissy. service like but she doesn't even touch. your hair. So, it's like.
>> So, if you go to Chrissy salon, >> everyone pays the Chrissy service. >> No. No. >> Only if you have her do your hair. Oh, so you chose like I want Chrissy to do. my hair, so I'm going to pay the Chrissy. service, >> right? >> Oh, which is like 10 people, not just. Chrissy. >> But it's weird because like another um. Tik Tocker, I think her name is like. Zoe, she also posted her experience. going to Hair by Chrissy, but she didn't. actually book with Chrissy cuz I was. like we me and her have been chatting. she booked with someone else I think. called Hair by Savannah and she still.
paid $4,000 but on her receipt it. doesn't say the Chrissy service but it. has like something like a little less. than 3,000 and it's um like the service. fee charge which I think is just. everyone doing it. >> literally. Yeah, it's like just good. >> But you know that before you go in, correct? >> I didn't know that. I didn't know that. there was going to be a Chrissy service. >> But I thought maybe you said it. Somebody said that you get like a. breakdown before you go in. Correct. Yeah, she got she got the cost breakdown. before she went in, which is the like. seven around $17 to $1,800 thing that. she was told. So she sent the $800.
because you have to send half. So she. was under the impression she was going. to pay like $17 to $1,800 total. >> Mhm. >> That's what she was told before she went. into the salon. >> Yeah. >> So then did you know the Chrissy. service? Like were you aware you were. paying for that? >> No. >> When you booked Chrissy, did you like. know that that was more of a fee? >> No. She told me that if I wanted cuz. when I was originally texting her, she. was like, "Okay, if you don't want to. use before I even mentioned my. extensions that I wanted to bring in, um. she said that new extensions and color. is going to be around 3500 to 4,000." So.
I I'm assuming that's including the. Chrissy charge cuz my extensions in. itself. >> Well, that sounds about right cuz it's. about what you paid, right? Right. >> Yeah. But my extensions from her salon. were like a little bit under a thousand. just for the new hair. >> So I don't know. So yeah, >> which I will say I paid for a new set. like of extensions one time that wasn't. the her line and I still paid $600 for a. set of extensions really. >> So six like 900 is like really. expensive. It's on it's definitely on.
the higher end but it's like okay like. you are just paying for the brand at. that point. >> Y'all know how much I paid for a haircut. for 18 years [laughter] of my life. I. don't know if you have all of my. haircuts in the entire live stream. >> No, till I was eight almost 18. Not 18, till I was probably 16. My haircuts cost. $9. [laughter]. >> I'm not kidding. It was $9 from a small. town in Oklahoma though, bro. >> Not something to brag about, man. >> No, I thought I got cut. >> We could tell. We could tell. >> You guys were so You paid $9 for that. haircut?
>> Yeah. At one time, low key, I'm not. going to lie, at this $9 salon, I tried. to get color kind of like that, like. more blonde. I came out silver. I'm not. kidding. It was gray silver. >> No. In Oklahoma, dude. I remember I. would try to dye my hair that color. blonde, like the tips sometimes. And I I. came out one time yellow. Like literally. the color yellow. [laughter] Like. straight up. >> Like it was like a yellow crayon. >> Yeah. Like the yellow crayon. I was. like, "What?" And then another time they. dyed my hair all the way down to my. roots and my scalp was on fire. Like.
stinging. On fire. I I was like, you. know, trying to play it cool cuz I'm. like 16, 17 year old dude in the salon. with like all the women. I'm like, is. this is. >> this like Yeah, it's going to hurt a. little bit. I was like, "My head's on. fire." And then I I had to finally I was. like, "My head's stinging." Like, "Is. that cool?" And she's like, "Oh, yeah. Yeah." And then finally got unbearable. I was like [laughter] I was like I I I I. don't want the hair color no more. I was. like, "Wash it out now. I can't wash it. out." And apparently you're not supposed. to do that. You're not even men used to. go to war.
>> Yeah. It [laughter] scalp. No, I got. scalped. scalp. Was that your first time at the. hair salon? >> No. And that's why I was like, "No one. else has ever stung my hair like this.". All right. Anyways, >> my Wait, my first time at the hair salon. was a really sad story, actually. I went. in and I had I was my little I think I. was 15. My 15-year-old self sat down and. I had no clue anything about hair. And I. was like, I just I just want blonde. highlights. And she was like, well, do. you want chunky highlights or do you. want like baby lights? I didn't know. what that meant. And I didn't take five. seconds to Google it. So, I was like, I.
want chunky. I want to be so blonde. The. girl gave me zebra stripes. I literally. had chunks this big. >> That's That's another small town thing. >> No, but I had my first boyfriend for. about a month. >> Yeah. Then he broke up with you. >> Well, I I looked at it and I was like, "Man, it's not the best, but I'm so. happy. Like, I'm blonde. This is so. exciting. It's my first time getting my. hair done. I showed it to I like walked. in the door to show him and I was like, "Look." And he was like, "Oh, no." He. was like, "You look like a zebra." And I. I went home and baldled my eyes out. >> Yeah. I mean, that's rough. That is sad.
Well, that [laughter] is very sad. >> That's unfortunate. Um, hi. When I went. to uh Hair by Chrissy, I went a couple. times and Chrissy kind of similar to. you, uh, she didn't come and do my hair, but she did stop by multiple times um to. like just check on my hair. Does that. make sense? Like she'd come by and she'd. be like and she'd, you know, be like, "Okay, show me what you're wondering. again." Okay. And she'd, you know, say, "Okay, um, leave this on a little. longer." Blah blah blah blah blah. Try. this. And and she helped it get at least.
for my hair. She helped get it to like. exactly what I want. Like I left feeling. like a million bucks. I was like, "Oh, >> yeah. M we were used to paying $9. We. got chopped our whole life. [laughter] I. would hope any other hair salon.". >> I don't know though. I'M JUST SAYING FOR. your hair. >> No, but I went to a lot of hair salons. Like a lot trying to like get people to. like dye my hair like how I wanted. And. she was the only one that could get it. like the like where it's brown at the. roots and like the like NK like blonde. >> look. That's also different though. because like. >> I know I'm a guy but. >> yeah it's like the like color matching.
extensions like a lot of hair stylists. that install extensions like are not. capable of color matching really. >> like you there's so many girls I feel. like you walk around scene and like I. you have to know what I'm talking about. when you see a girl and you're just like. it's not blended like it's rough but. yeah Chrissy when she did my hair I was. really happy with it but my hair was. also like completely chopped right. before I walked in there too cuz I just. had it like fried off so. >> so the uh so There's the $1,800 charge. cuz I feel like for some reason I feel. like I'm stuck stuck on the numbers.
>> You cannot get past the numbers. >> There's the eight. No, no, no. I'm just. trying to figure out the Chrissy fee. >> Yeah, >> $1,800 charge. >> Well, the Chrissy fee is to have like 10. girls around you doing the thing. And. her giving her hair is if she was paying. a deposit half up front of $800, that. would mean there's another $800. >> Yeah. >> But then she said the only thing that. changed. >> Yeah. The only thing that changed was. she bought extensions. >> Yes. So therefore now it should be. 2,800. >> Yeah.
>> Do you not do you not see is that not. confuting? >> I don't know. I'm very confused. >> He's wondering because like if it was. only going to be the two grand because. it was like So then where did the 2900. come in for the Chrissy service because. it wasn't included in the deposit? >> If it's not included in the deposit, how. did. >> that makes sense? Cuz I only paid 50% of. my deposit which was 895. And then I. actually. >> Wait, have you never thought about that. before? You have your receipt. I just I. just I just looked at our cost. breakdown. Sorry. I'm like literally. stalking your. >> Wait, this is this is her cost per day. >> This is her Yeah, the one you posted. >> Pop this up on the screen. >> Okay. So, Chrissy service is $2,974.
>> So, that's to get your haircut there. No, but that's what I'm saying. >> But that's your haircut. And. >> I don't care. Listen to what I'm saying. >> No. >> If she was paying $800 up front and $800. was supposed to be paid when she left, where the heck did $2,900 come from? >> But I don't think it was ever that. >> Can you guys just stop interrupting FOR. TWO SECONDS? YOU INTERRUPT so much. >> Okay. Go ahead. Go ahead. Oh my. goodness, >> man. I hope we don't run out of time. [laughter]. >> Um, no. So, the coconut cream 22 inch. five WS, like that's your extensions,
$570. Whipped cream extensions, you had four. of those were $456. So, 570 and 456, that's like. >> We need to get into real estate. That's. what we need to do. >> You know those nights when you just need. to pamper yourself a little bit? That's. when I always go for the Domino's. specialty pizzas. They're the ultimate. indulgence. Premium toppings, melty. cheese, and flavors that hit every. craving. Right now, the new spicy. chicken bacon ranch pizza is Domino's.
hottest pizza yet. Creamy ranch base, grilled chicken, smoked bacon, jalapenos, mozzarella, and finished with. a drizzle of buffalo sauce. If you're. looking for something classic, there's. the People's Pizza Deluxe, loaded with. pepperoni, Italian sausage, green. peppers, mushrooms, and onions. Or you. can go big with the extravaganza, super. loaded with all of your favorite. toppings. or dive into the pizza. A. total meatlover's dream. Seriously, these pizzas are a little luxury for. your night in. Grab a couple, track them. in real time from the oven to your door, and enjoy every slice while chilling.
with friends, a movie, or just by. yourself. Make tonight a pizza night. with Domino's specialty [music] pizzas. And trust me, it's exactly what your. cravings ordered. >> or hair extensions. >> Um, and then you paid $40 for the. detangler that they put in your hair, so. they spray. >> Wait, no, you need to say the name of. that. She paid $40 for seven seconds. detangle. >> Seven seconds of detangling. >> Seven seconds is probably the brand, Kinsey. >> Oh wow. >> Kinsey face like what? [laughter]. >> No, that's a that's that's for the next.
topic. >> Yeah. Oh, okay. Okay. And then Milbon. report repair restorative shampoo was. $32 and the restorative treatment was. 44. So that was for like your shampoo. and like probably the conditioner sort. of thing that they put in your hair. >> No. Okay. Okay. So, I guess we're we're. on this topic. >> Yes. Let's go item by item. >> I don't know if you've like seen my all. my videos, but I made a video about um. kind of. >> I haven't seen most of your videos. Most. of what I saw was like people reposting. >> Yeah. So, I made a second video just. like talking about the cost breakdown.
So, at the end when I got my hair like. all finished, basically there, as I said. in my videos, like there was a bunch of. like Tik Tockers filming videos and like. Chrissy was like helping them film and. then her assistants were like telling. them what to do. And I was just like. looking at everything like so. overwhelmed. And then I was like just. like standing there for like 5 minutes. like what do I do? Like no one like I. was done with my hair just like do I go. to the counter? Do I just stand here? So. then Chrissy comes up to me and she's. like all right uh you're all done. And. then she's like grabbing stuff off the. shelf. She's like grabbing a bag and. she's like putting everything. She's. like what do you use for shampoo? She's.
like putting stuff in the bag and she. like hands me the bag and I'm like, "Oh, okay." She's like, "No, you need all. that." And then just brush your hair in. the shower with conditioner. Just like. talking so fast like, "Take this, take. that, take this." And I'm like, "Oh, okay." Like, at that point, I thought it. was complimentary to the $4,000 service. that I had. >> No, she gave me a bag of shampoo and. conditioner. >> She didn't even hand me the bag. She. handed the person like at the counter. the bag. She didn't even hand me the. bag. I'm sorry. Now I'm remembering it. Like, she literally was like getting. everything. She was like showing me the. bag and then she like gave it to the. person at the front. The lady starts. like scanning everything in the bag and.
I'm just like, "What is going on?" I was. so overwhelmed. Like I was just like. swallowing it all down because it's so. hard to like speak up in there because. it's just like so much is going on. >> Like I will say that's kind of crazy if. they're like, "Oh yeah, you're Okay, so. you're going to need all this. You like. shampoo, right? Here we go. Just check. her out really quick. I want like a. documentary. Like I want to watch the. security footage.". >> That makes sense. I was thinking so the. So you came. >> Oh my gosh. The security footage would. be. >> Chrissy, please post the security. [laughter]. >> Drop the footage, please. I need to see.
it. >> Drop the Oh my goodness. So, the 7. seconds detangler and the restorative. shampoo and treatment and serum were all. the products she just put in a bag and. hand it to you. And you were basically. like, "Okay, I get I I take these now.". And you thought it was complimentary, but then you were charged for it. >> And what did that total? >> How much? >> All of this. So, the the Chrissy. service, which is literally Okay, now. I'm understanding the Chrissy service. now that we have it broken down. So the. Chrissy service is literally just like. come into my salon and get your hair.
done. That's like you're just that's the. base. >> That's like that's like her. >> that's like my barber my barber that's. like the fee to walk in the door then. just be like I know what you want. >> No no no it's like it's like that's like. the labor fee essentially. >> like when like when you book with Genty. like [snorts] you pay more for Genty. than some of the other people. >> Yeah. >> Like you're paying you just pay more. which is what it is. >> Yeah. So she so she paid for the Chrissy. service, which is essentially like the. labor or like the labor of all of her. assistants or whatever. And then she. paid 570 and then 456 for the extensions. she has in her hair. And then the four.
products that were put into like a. little bag that she had to pay for at. checkout. And all of that totaled to. um oh my gosh, $4,152. >> Okay. But how much how much was just the. products? >> Just the products. Do you want me to add. it up real quick? >> It's a little over. It's like in the. 150s, I think. >> Yeah. Yeah. >> It's like 150. It's not that much. >> No, but that like look that low key like. still is a lot. >> No, it's a lot for hair products. >> But that's like what if I go dye my hair. like that's what they charge me total. Like putting items in a bag and then.
charging someone 150. That's a little. >> You don't even get charged 15 or that. much total? >> Really? >> Yeah. >> Yeah. That's what I'm saying. >> Yeah. And then you were so generous. You. left a $50 TIP AFTER ALL THAT. NO, [laughter] LISTEN. LIKE I WAS AT the. counter. Chrissy was standing there and. like the lady and then like the thing. popped up and she was literally staring. at me like this and I was like I just. like IT WAS LIKE 15. >> 15% of the tip was like $575 and I was. like oh my god. So I clicked custom and. I typed in $50 cuz I was like what do.
you do? Like I didn't know. >> I think that is a very good tip. [laughter]. I didn't know but also like when you're. I feel like if you are going to go. I understand $500 tip is insane. Yeah. No, [laughter] no. But that's like. that's like saying if you go to a nice. restaurant then you don't have to tip. more. You do. >> NO. IF MY RESTAURANT CHARGED ME 4 grand, I'm sorry. I'm not You have to tip more. I'M NOT TIPPING. IF A GIRL WALKED IN. THERE THINKING SHE WAS PAYING. $1,800,000. >> I'm just talking about the in general.
here that if you go to like a fancy. restaurant and you pay $1,000 for your. bill, you you got to tip more than you. pay. >> No. No. But also this. If I went to like. a crazy expensive restaurant that's like. insanely expensive, if I paid like. $1,000 for my steak and $1,000 for. Kate's steak and it's just us two, I'm. not tipping 20%. I'm not tipping $400, but you're supposed to is what I'm. saying. >> It's almost like the service is like. part of the tip because you're paying. everyone to do your hair kind of. So, it's like that's what I was thinking. I. was like, I'm not.
>> I didn't think about that. If you are. paying for the Christy service, you're. paying for 10 people to do your hair. included. Well, I'm I'm just thinking. that yeah, that sounds like a lot of. money. >> Tip at a hair salon is not even expected. like tip at a restaurant. Tipping at a. restaurant is more. >> No, you're expected to tip at a hair. salon. But I know at least like when I. go to the barber, it's like tipped like. what? 12 bucks. >> That's what I'm saying. 15 bucks. $500. >> But that's cuz I'm getting an $80. >> It's hilarious at the fact that you. still did tip after 4,000. >> I'm a nice person. Like I'm not going to. be like, "Oh, no tip." Like I don't. know. I felt I was like embarrassed. I.
didn't know. >> No, no, no. I I understand how you feel. Like the first time I tipped at Subway, I was like, [laughter]. >> "No, if I had to choose about tipping. right when I was at Subway and the first. time, this is the first time it ever. happened to me when they flipped the. little thing around and they were like, "Would you like to tip?" And I was like, "I mean, you just took 30 seconds and. slapped my sandwich together and I. didn't even get the lettuce I wanted, but it's fine. But sure, I'll tip $5. right now." Cuz this was before really, you know, it's like really like gotten. crazy the last like three or four years. Everywhere you go, it's like how much.
you want to tip. >> Oh, yeah. This was like the first time I. had experienced that. >> You can tip us after this, by the way. [laughter]. >> No, dude. I'm done with tipping, dude. I. was at a selfch checkout like at a. Walmart or something. I forgot what. store it was. A selfch checkout. I go to. pay and it's like, would you like to. tip? I was like, who? [laughter] It's a. robot. Yeah. No. And Matt, I want you to. imagine you're getting your hair done. and then you're like four grand, man. I. mean, >> I did not want to spend that. >> I didn't I didn't even want to be here. in this position. And now it's like, no. No. It's like tip minimum's 400. You.
would be like, "No, no, no. Don't get me. wrong. If I felt personally like I went. to a hair salon like that, like let's. just say I go to a random place here in. Dallas and they were like, "Oh yeah, it's going to be a $100 haircut." Like, I'd be like, "Okay, that's kind of. expensive, but I'll do it." And then it. ended up being like 4 thou or 400 or 500. and they were like, "Now you got to tip. 200 bucks." I I I wouldn't. >> Yeah. No, I probably if I felt like I. would have done what you if I felt like. I was already paying more than what I. agreed to, then I probably wouldn't. But. if I was going to a place where I'm. like, "Oh, yeah, it's going to be a $400.
haircut.". >> I wouldn't be like, "Oh, well, if it's a. $400 haircut, then I also got to like I. would factor that in before I. were prepared to pay 20 15 20% or like. tip whatever of the $1,800 you. originally thought you were going to. spend.". >> Yeah. No, there Yeah. There's a point. where something so expensive, you're not. expected to tip. >> No. if she was going in there for the. $1,800 haircut, I think it would have. been fine to expect to tip a hundred or. 200 bucks. But. >> if she went if if she went and then had. to she didn't I don't know. I wasn't. there, but you know what I'm saying.
>> Yeah. >> Yeah. I probably would have done. >> cuz I have Y'all have all been there. I. have never been there. >> What do all 10 people do? Because the. hair stylist that I go to now, she like. actually places like the foils in my. hair and everything and she has an. assistant who washes my hair and dries. it and that's how it's supposed to be. That's That's like. >> Well, no, but the assistant doesn't. foil. >> No, >> the assistant does not foil. >> No, but they're like, "While one. person's doing this, the other one's. like coloring and like curling your hair. and blowing it out and like. >> you can't do all that at once." So, how. do you have 10 people's hands in your.
>> I just know at the end when I've been. there, it's like, "We're not asking you. Five people curling hair." That's more. like your body. >> Yeah, don't ask [laughter] me. >> I don't know. For me, it was very much. like in the beginning there was like. five girls around and we were all. talking about my hair in the beginning. and then there's like a couple after. that there's like two girls in the back. like mixing it. Yeah. >> And then like mixing the color and then. they're all like beginning to start to. foil your hair. >> They all foil it together. >> Yeah. Like five of them. Are you like. the only one in the salon? >> No, there's a lot. >> That's what I'm saying. So it's take it. is taking like five or six people to.
just do one person's hair. So it is. going to be a more expensive and it's. already a luxury. >> So how many people were in the salon. like getting hair done? There was. probably like I I don't know probably. like at least 20. >> Really? >> At least 20 because there was actually. >> we haven't been in a long time. When we. went it was like set maybe eight chairs. >> Did everyone have like that many chair. on them doing their hair? >> Um well there's like there's different. stages of hair. So people like. processing and then like Yeah. But I. would definitely say like towards the. end is when it got more chaotic. And.
when they were doing the foils on my. hair it was so chaotic. Like there was. like three girls in the beginning doing. my extensions. Then when they moved on. to the foils, it was like that's when. there was like 10 people. Like I. couldn't even see like it was like. poking me in the eye and there was like. hair in my mouth and I was just like. trying to move it, but there was there. was so much. >> So you have like multiple people doing. foils. I know like hair is an art and. you have to like place them in certain. like spots on your head to make it like. look good and blended. >> Yeah. One side of the shorter than the. other. >> That's what she was saying is that. because she has so many girls working on.
her. >> I don't know. It was I don't know which. side you could see the difference in the. front. Like one of them is like, "Can. you see?". >> No, I'm blind. Have the Let me see. Let. me see. >> Like one side. Slight. What do you mean? >> It's slight. Very slight. >> It's probably because we're looking more. at the left side's blonder. Yeah. Slightly. >> Yeah. Like the front. >> You can't tell unless you point it out. >> Yeah. No, you can't tell unless you. point it out, but like you could tell. like when when I'm looking in the. mirror, I'm like, "What the heck?" But I. mean, it's fine. Like it's not that big. of a deal. [laughter]. >> I just $4,000 and it's not even. But.
>> Oh my god. It's funny. No, but that's. what that's what you were saying in your. video is there were so many people. working on your head and even if Chrissy. came over and was like, "Okay, you guys. are going to like mix this and do this. and do this. It's still hard for people. to all still be like on the same page. So, it's like parts of your hair are. going to look slightly different.". >> Yeah. And there was a point when I was. getting my hair done and one of the. girls like asked a question like was. like, "Wait, are we doing that?" And she. was like, "Yeah, we were doing that from. the beginning." And she was like, "Uh.". And I looked at her and I was like, "What the heck?" Like they literally all. are on different pages. Like it's crazy. Yeah. >> Well, when you're in like when you have.
that many people working on you, it. probably does get confusing to. >> the uh the assistant thing. I'm trying. to think like if that's like if I like. say like you know like when you book. someone on like at our barber and so. there's like someone there you click. >> Yeah. >> Like if you were going to pay an. expensive price. >> We don't we don't pay enough for. assistance. That's what. >> But [laughter] no, but if we were going. to pay like three grand, you're picking. like that person. >> Yeah. >> You want that person to do your hair. >> I would assume that that person is going. to do at least like 80% of the hair. Yeah. You know what I'm saying? >> No, she say even 50% would have been.
fine with me. 50% I would have been. completely. >> Yeah. I wouldn't have assumed for them. to do like 10% of the work. >> No, she didn't even do 10% of the work. She came over, she did a foil right. here. She goes like that. She folded up, walked away, and then. >> she did one foil. >> Yeah. Insane. >> Yeah. >> She at least when she did my hair, it. was more like she's overseeing the. people. So, it's like she's over there. making sure they're doing it right and. then she leaves. >> Speaking from the experience of we were. the influencers who went in and got our. hair done for free. >> Yeah. So we can't dude, so it's probably. different. But I'm saying if I pay three.
grand, four, two, three, four grand for. a person to do my hair and then I go in. there and they did one strand of hair, I'd be like, >> "What?". >> Yeah. >> Like that's kind of. >> So if there was so many people foiling. your hair, like when I sit down and only. one person does my hair and I have. pretty thick hair, it takes about an. hour, hour and a half to foil my whole. head. How long did it take for them to. do all of your hair? >> I don't even know. >> Just a foiling. I think like 20 to 25. minutes I was sitting there doing but.
it's really intense. It felt longer. because of like. >> Yeah. How many? >> It's like almost claustrophobic feeling. >> No, I was like having anxiety really. bad. Like I It was really bad. >> How long were you at the salon totally? >> I was there for like two or three hours. >> Oh wow. It was a long time. >> That's looking kind of fast. I feel like. it's about normal. I when I got my. extensions done and he was in my like. old uh stylist in Hawaii was doing my. hair. He was It took him like six, seven. hours like we were.
>> Yeah, but you had a lot of people. [laughter] working on it, so it's going. to go a little faster. >> Look at his tattoo. He just got this. >> You like that? >> I can't even see it. It's so. >> She said it's so pathetic. I can't even. see it. [laughter]. >> No, not pathetic. I just said I can't. see it. It's so light. >> It's also pretty pathetic. [laughter]. >> Yeah. >> How long did it take you to get your. extensions in? When I Well, when she. does my hair because I Wait, with. Chrissy? >> No, no, no. When you go to Gabriel? >> Oh, at Gabri's probably. Oh, it took it. took a while, but it's cuz she's the.
only one doing it. Like, that's why I. thought it always took long, but I. forgot. >> How long does it take for one person? >> Probably for her to do it. It's Gosh, we. were at the salon for three to three and. a half hours every time and I was doing. that. >> Yeah, it was a long time. It was a long. time that I know to sit in the car. >> Yeah, I know. Sit in the car. But she. was able to color your hair and give you. extensions in a three to four hour time. period. And that's the same time it took. for her and she had 10 people on her. Yeah. >> Which seems a little insane. >> So I'm I'm curious. So how do you feel. about the whole experience? Cuz you. you've explained it on like 45se. secondond Tik Tok videos, but how do you.
feel now about the whole thing? >> I feel like when I was sitting in the. salon, like it wasn't hitting me like. what was happening, but like when I got. out, >> what part wasn't hitting you? like the part of like how I actually. felt in the end of it and like during it. like it didn't hit until like later and. I was like wow like that's that's crazy. like it only hit like when I started. like actually realizing how. uncomfortable I was and how like I. didn't even like my hair in the end. >> like not that I hated it like it just. wasn't what I expected at all but like.
now like looking back I just feel like I. did not feel welcomed at all and like. when I was getting my hair done no one. was trying to even talk to me or have a. conversation with me And then one of the. girls was like, "Oh, are you like an. influencer?" And I was like, "No." And. she's like, "Oh." And I was like, "Oh.". [laughter] And then they just like. started talking about this girl that. they did the other day who was like an. influencer and they didn't even know. And they were just like they asked her. if she was an influencer and she said. no. And they were like, "Why wouldn't. she tell us?" Like they were literally. just like talking about the most random. stuff like not even trying to have a.
conversation with me. It was so weird. It was. >> So overall the whole experience, what's. your like what's your stance on it now? Like, do you wish you never would have. gone? >> I mean, I feel like everything happens. for a reason. Like, I'm here now. So, [laughter]. >> true. >> I mean, I'm not complaining. >> I mean, it's definitely It was. definitely good for your plot. Like, it. was really good for the plot. >> Yeah. I mean, I was never like initially. like, "Oh, I want to find something to. talk bad about." It was just like, >> yeah, >> it it just all happened so fast and. everyone was like, well, not everyone,
but one person told me to speak out and. I was like, you know what, maybe I will. >> Okay. So, if Chrissy is watching, what. would you what would you want to tell. Chrissy? >> Oh, um I don't know. [laughter]. >> Well, okay. Aside from the actual like. experience in the salon after you got. your hair done and you posted the video, you said like you were it was super. itchy and like you weren't really happy. with it. So, you post this video, but. then you kind of just like start going. back and forth with her on the internet. for a minute. Like how did how did that.
like how did Yeah. Like how did that. happen? like when she started just. posting stuff about you too and like. >> Oh yeah. Well, I think the the crazy. part was when I was like literally like. laying on my surgery bed and she was. like I was literally getting surgery on. my nose in like 30 minutes and she. posted like merch about me and then she. like posted the videos about me. >> Whoa, hold on. Yeah, >> merch. >> She made merch. >> Yeah, it was great. >> She made merch about this. So then I. made merch. Yeah, I [laughter] HAVE A. WHOLE MERCH LINE. NO, I have a whole.
merch line. I kind of I kind of love. that. >> Wait, wait. >> On both sides. What was her merch? >> Her merch was like I touch hair for 60. seconds or something. And then like. other shirt was like 4K hair. >> 4K [laughter] hair. Wait, pop pictures. of her merch if we if we can find it. >> What did your merch say? >> My merch is actually fire and it's like. hers was like AI freaking generated from. [laughter]. >> She was She probably was just making it. to post on her story, >> right? But. >> well, if I had known I'd have bought one. for today, that would have been that.
would have been hilarious. [laughter]. >> That would be so. >> I just like take my jacket off. I have. just like. 4K hair. >> Yeah. Well, so from what I understood. while she looked for that. >> I might buy that anyways. That's the. funniest. >> Maybe I'm just chronically online. because I know way too much about this, but from what I understand is she posted. her like experience video and then. obviously when you post your experience. video like that, everyone's going to. like flood the comments of like why. would you charge this much? Like this is. ridiculous. So, she's going to go into. defense mode. And so, she started.
posting stories and it was like pictures. of your hair, like videos of you there, like you looking happy and stuff like at. the salon or whatever. >> Yeah. But then like in the after video, like everyone was like, "Oh, like she. doesn't look happy." Like you can. literally see in the after video like. >> Yeah. >> It's just like in the beginning I was. like so excited to get my hair done. I. was like, "Okay." Like the. >> I couldn't even find the before and. after video. I just saw like the clip of. like your after. >> Yeah. I'd love to see the before or not. the before and after, but at least like. the like look you were going for. >> We already popped that up. >> Yeah, but I haven't seen it. >> Yeah,
>> you [clears throat] know, but it is one. of the most awkward situations. >> Not that all like when you're done with. your hair like you get hair dye or. something. >> I've had that happen. >> and they flip they flip you around in. the chair for the mirror and then. they're like, "How do you like it?". >> No. When they were they were being so. fancy. >> You're like, "It's gone. It's gone. You. cut it all off. >> It's not how you wanted it at all." And. you're like, >> "It's great. >> Thanks." [laughter]. I've had some bad bars. >> You said they were being You said they. were being fake. >> Yeah, we were like at the wash bowl and. it was not light enough at all. Like you. could hear them literally saying how.
they were going to like add more. >> Oh, that's horrible. When you hear the. barber or somebody behind you, >> the girl was like, "Okay, like if it's. not bright enough when we wash it out, like we're going to do like another like. round or something.". >> So, you can hear them talking in the. background like panicking. >> No, they told me that. They said like. it's if it's not bright enough, we'll do. another round or something. But then. like when they were drying it, you could. tell they were trying to get out of it. They were like, "Oh, it looks so good. looks just like your inspo picture. And. I was just looking in the mirror and I. was like, "Yeah, >> yeah, [laughter]. >> yeah.". >> God. >> So, what's the picture you're looking. Oh, the merch. >> Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. So, anyways,
>> I have so many photos. You're good. You. can show it to the the what I saw. Wait, did they asked you if you crazy? I. literally go ahead. Sorry. 700 times. >> I know. I'm bad this episode. I'm sorry. >> You were really bad this episode. Anyways, um what I was saying is from. what I saw, she posted um your like. before and afters of you looking happy. and then they started posting stuff like. pictures of they literally took pictures. of Chrissy while she's doing a client's. hair and they said Chrissy doing. people's hair and then they took a.
picture of Chrissy just in the salon and. they said Chrissy in her salon and they. just like were almost like making fun of. you on the Tik Tok stories and. >> you could literally see her like doing. something and then walking away. Like. could you see that? cuz like everyone. was commenting like she literally did. one clip and then walks away. >> She's such a troll. >> Everyone was like, "Dude, she's. literally proving herself.". >> She's like like literally like final. boss trolling you [laughter]. >> doing the merch is great. >> Yeah. And then and then I saw the. picture of her merch where she was like. uh do like I touch hair for 4K or. something. >> Did you actually list your merch like.
for sale? >> Yeah, we've made we've made a lot of. sales. >> No way. >> Yeah. [laughter]. >> No way. >> That's so funny. Imagine people buy the. merch and then they go get their hair. done and everyone in her salon just has. this merch. >> Your merch said like what is it called? It was like. >> this is this is my merch. So it's like. it's actually like a fire hoodie and it. says kindness is worth more than 4K. [laughter] And then on the back it says. not famous. >> That's hilarious. >> Yeah. This was my this was my original. inspo pick for my.
>> Yeah. >> Okay. Wait. Pop this up right now. The. original the inspo picture. >> Kindness. I think y'all have already. seen this, but the insto picture and. what she got. Can I see like the final. >> Yeah, like after you got it done. >> Yeah, like the before and after video. that she posted. >> Um. >> Oh, Chrissy posted the before and after. >> Yeah. To be fair, >> it's not there anymore, though. >> She deleted it. >> I screen recorded it. >> Did she delete it? >> Yes. >> Oh, >> cuz I made a video basically like saying. that like I wanted her to take it down. and then she didn't for like two days.
So then I made another video and then. she took it down. [laughter]. This is crazy. >> The drama is crazy. I mean, who would. have thought? Going going to go going to. get your haircut and then all of a. sudden you're dropping merch about it. >> No, that's that's so bad. >> It's way deeper than I thought. If y'all. are at merch already, >> this is [laughter] this is my video for. >> And if you want to take. it down real quick like the audio. Yeah. Yeah. >> Gosh, that's so funny. >> Like you can. >> Okay, we'll pop up this TikTok. Oh, I.
want to see this so bad. >> So, this is the. >> Yeah. >> Uhhuh. >> So, it looks close to me except yours. yours. >> Yeah, she said hair in 4K. >> I didn't get to see the ino picture very. well, but I will say the after looks. really good. Like your hair does look. good. >> Yeah, it looks good. >> It looks good. But like in the video, like people did like a sidebyside. Mine. looks so gray. The one thing I feel like. >> Yeah, it is kind of like. >> as a dude looking at hair. The one thing. I feel like I see is that it's like that. one's like more blonde up top.
>> Yeah. Like it's not it's not. >> it's not. >> Yeah, I would do. I don't even probably. notice the differences y'all are talking. about cuz to me it all looks the same. So then after you got your hair your. hair done, um you said it like. physically hurt. >> Like it doesn't it doesn't hurt. It's. just like very itchy and like I've had. hair with like. >> this type of weft before and that's why. I went away from it. >> and I had no idea that this hair had. >> the mustache on it. >> So I found that out quickly. >> So do you The hair you have right now is.
still the hair. >> hair by Chrissy. >> Okay. So but now. >> still rocking it. >> Hair by assistance. >> Now you [laughter] are. my gosh. >> hair by assistance. put that on merch, honestly. But now, now you're in Texas. because I saw again I'm chronically Oh, goodness. I'm chronically online and I. saw that a hair stylist here in Dallas. was like, "Not famous. Get down here.". Like, I'm going to fix your hair. >> Yeah. >> So, are you going to see her tomorrow?
>> Um, no. I'm going to see her on uh. Friday. Saturday? >> Yeah. I was supposed to come to Texas. next Saturday, but you guys weren't. available. >> We're gone for like two weeks and then. when she's here, we're gone. Yeah. So if. we didn't also Yeah. So for those you. guys just listening, this is an. emergency episode. [laughter]. >> No, >> this was. >> we had did not have this planned this. morning and she lives in San Diego and. we live in Dallas and at like 100 p.m. today. >> Yeah. >> We were texting and I was like, can you. get down here today? Lol. And she's.
like, >> this was literally the last minute. I. have a 6 hour drive at 5:00 a.m. >> And then I walk up here to everyone. else. I'm like, "Hey guys, we're filming. an episode at like midnight tonight.". And they're like, "Okay, [laughter]. >> you fly home in the morning." Uh, we're. So, right after this, we're heading back. to the airport. Literally, right after. that, that makes me sick to my stomach. >> Yeah, that's my worst nightmare. We have. a guest bedroom. You guys can stay in it. if you want. Like, that is my worst. nightmare. >> No, it's okay. >> We did that for a podcast once, too. We. were flying to Arizona for a podcast and. we flew there back. >> Oh my gosh, I'm sick to my stomach.
>> Not at like 1:00 in the morning. >> Yeah, that's a little bit of a fried. school. >> Uh, no. We have like a bunch of brand. deals to get out tomorrow, so. >> got to get Hey, congratulations. What time is your flight at? >> Um, our flight is like around 6:00 a.m. I think. 6. >> 6 a.m. >> So, tonight/ tomorrow morning. So, it's. in like 6 hours. >> It's currently 12:09 a.m., guys. >> Okay. Wait. No. Literally, just like you. guys can sleep in our bed our guest. bedroom until you want to crash for like. 30 minutes, but you got to get. [laughter] up. >> I I have a couple questions still.
>> Okay. >> One, dude. >> Would you ever be down to box Chrissy? Because I [laughter] I'd love to watch. Um. >> I mean, people think she already has cuz. of my nose. as I was getting those. comments. [laughter]. >> No, wait, wait. You know what would be. crazy? Obviously, I don't think I don't. think Chrissy would agree, but if they. both came on the podcast at the same. time, >> I would kill to do that. I would. moderate. >> She wouldn't. Well, [laughter]. Chrissy, Chissy, would Chrissy Chissy. >> Chrissy. Also, I'm not going to say when. you did do my hair, Chrissy. I did like.
it. Um, but [laughter] I'm a guy. >> I was I was happy with mine. >> So, if you'll do my hair for free again, hit me up. Um, >> you guys just like tell her to come in. and I just like jump out of the corner. >> [laughter]. >> So she doesn't. >> low key you do need to go experience. >> Yeah. Okay. Hair by Chrissy. I have not. experienced you yet. I would really. appreciate it. Please. >> And also Chrissy, if you want to come on. the pod, please hit us up. We'd love to. have you on. We'll fly you out at. >> We'll [laughter]. you guys will pass in the air. >> But no, that would be amazing.
>> That's so that's so funny. >> All right. Well, before we end this. episode, is there anything you want to. say to either the internet or Chrissy or. >> where can everyone find you? Anything. you want to get out, YouTube? >> Just my Tik Tok. >> Dang, we're already done. I wasn't done. I had so many more questions. What was. your question, Mav? >> I just I feel like we skimmed over like. you started to bring up the receipt and. we went through like two items on it. >> No, that was the receipt. >> Oh my. god. I was confused. That's enough. Just. M. >> We love you. Just sh.
>> I just want to know I Okay, last. question. How much because this will. this will make everything clear for me. When you're sitting in the chair, they're like styling your hair. You're. almost done, right? How much were you. expecting the total to be? >> I was expecting it to be anywhere. between I I thought it was going to be. like 35 35 something. >> Okay. So, it was about $500 more than. you expected. Plus, they added on and. and they added on the like the. >> Yeah. all the soaps and stuff. >> But keep in mind when she walked into.
the salon like two hours prior, she. thought she was gonna pay like. >> Yeah. But she's mad. We're like soap. asses. No, [laughter] I'm just saying. Okay. I'm saying if she did say yes to. the other stuff. >> Yeah. Before we end it, is there. anything you want to tell Chrissy people. online? Cuz obviously I think you've. been getting a lot of hate, right? Too. or no? >> Not really. >> Really? I haven't checked it. >> I've seen so many creators like normally. making parodies of your videos. [laughter]. >> Yeah. Normally when. Yeah. No, I've gotten a lot of like a. lot of people been reaching out just. like talking about like their experience. and like wanting to get in touch with me. just like yeah just like happy that I.
spoke out about it. So if there's like. one thing that I would say it's. definitely to like speak out and speak. up and even if you didn't do it in the. actual moment like you can always still. do it afterwards and like look at all. the opportunities that it's got me like. to see Rachel and. >> I'd advise doing it in the moment. Wait, see Rachel's the hair stylist she's. coming to see next. Yeah. >> Yeah. She's completely like she's paying. for us to come and then she paid for our. hotel. She made a whole itinerary. >> Wait, what's her name? >> Uh it's.
it's like her company's like Bold Hair. >> If Rachel if Rachel was funny, she'd. make a Tik Tok and then she would not. touch your hair at all and have only her. assistants do it. That [laughter] would. be a viral Tik Tok. Um but okay. [gasps]. Wait, what did I want to say? Frick. I. had something really good. Okay, I don't. know. Never mind. Anyways, uh before we. end it, um oh my god, >> maybe I should call it I should call. right now. >> No, wait. I had something. Oh, wait.
That's what I was going to ask. Um I. normally assume when something like this. happens that like anything any time. anything happens on the internet like. half the people are for this side and. half the people are for this side. So, have has like you feel like most. everyone's been on your side about it? I. feel like yeah, I feel like mostly. everyone's been on my side and every. video that I've seen on the internet. that's been on her side, all the. comments are like literally like. >> really I will say off rip, if you're. like if you don't understand Chrissy's. like business structure and you see. $4,000, you're definitely you're.
definitely going to be like, "Oh, that. girl got scammed." But it is like like. you know a luxury. >> playing such a devil's advocate right. now. >> Well, I somebody's got to we'll have no. conversation on the pod if we're all. just like yes. >> It's true. [laughter] I wasn't. originally complaining about the price. at all. It was honestly like it it. nothing about my review or all my videos. has nothing to do about the price at. all. >> That's true. >> Yours your you were just more so you. were also very kind in your videos. >> Yeah. I didn't even like say like in the. beginning that I felt like any type of. way. I just said like my experience as a.
non-famous person. It had nothing to do. with the price. It was nothing. Like. >> that is true. >> It wasn't even supposed to be backlash. really good because something I feel. like like just because her her whole. like business is literally built on. doing like influencers hair for free. Like it really was just like a. completely different perspective to have. somebody who wasn't just walking into. the salon for free and getting their. hair done because obviously everyone. who's getting their hair done for free. is not going to go in and like bash her, >> right? >> And like you weren't even bashing her. You were just sharing the truth. But. it's like if they if they didn't like. what they got, they're not going to say.
that online because they want to go back. again, you know? >> So if you didn't complain about the. price, who said it was 4K? Did she say. it or did you say it? >> No, she just put the cost breakdown in. her video and everyone watch video. That's why I told you I only saw the. repost. I'm so sorry. >> THIS PODCAST I WAS TOLD ABOUT IT LIKE 4. HOURS AGO. [laughter] I didn't have time. to prep. >> Well, just like basically like I put the. receipt in my video just to show like. what I paid and just say like it was. disappointing. >> She was trying to be she her video was. literally like this was my experience. and so she was sharing her experience.
She wasn't complaining. >> and I showed the price just to be like. the breakdown. Like this was the Chrissy. service but then I didn't actually get. the Chrissy service. Like that's what it. was. >> This is this has been very informative. [laughter] and and I think we need to. have Chrissy on and then both of you on. We need Chrissy. Please come on. Everybody go comment on Chrissy. Come on. the other podcast. [laughter] Um all. right. We'll see you guys later. Thank. you so much. Not Famous for coming on. Um would you like to say bye? >> Bye guys. [laughter] Bye.
