>> Living in Texas, you learn pretty. quickly that summer is no joke. Once. July and August hit, the heat is. basically a full-time commitment. >> Yeah. When it's 100 plus degrees. outside, your plans go quickly from. let's go do something to how quickly can. we get back inside. >> Which is funny because you'd think every. Texas home would automatically come with. a pool. But that's definitely not always. the case. >> That's why sometimes we'll plan Little. Texas stations and book a stay through. Airbnb at a place where we can actually. enjoy the summer instead of just trying. to survive it.

>> We recently did that and found a place. with a pool just outside of Dallas, which completely changed the experience. One morning, we grabbed breakfast at a. local coffee shop, spent a few hours. walking around the Dallas Alberto, and. by the time the afternoon heat had. rolled in, we were more than ready to. head back, jump in the pool, and cool. off before going to a Brazilian. steakhouse for dinner. It's one of our. favorite spots. And anytime we're in. Dallas, we try to make it there if we. can. That ended up being one of my. favorite parts of the trip because we. got to do things we normally don't do.

while still feeling like we're at home. I loved that we could do something in. the morning, come back, recharge for a. bit, and then head back out later that. evening without feeling like we had to. be out doing something all day. Having a. nice place to come back home to made the. trip feel balanced. >> Honestly, those are the trips that you. don't expect to be memorable, but. somehow they end up being the ones you. talk about the most. Yes, sometimes you. don't need a big trip or a far away. destination. You just need a place that. lets you enjoy the people you're with. and the city you're in. >> That's what made this Dallas getaway so.
