A Georgia couple, allegedly left three. young kids, [music] one of them. reportedly just nine months old, inside. of a car in a hot grocery store parking. lot. Baby was falling out of car seat, 1-year-old. Uh, the other. >> They were they were left in a parking. lot. Yeah, with the car running. And the. two children could have easily The older. children could have crawled over and. turned on the car. They could have been. kidnapped. Or What's wrong with him? And. when deputies caught up with the pair, they didn't go into custody easily. Come. outside. I see my keys and.

called 911. after spotting three small children in a. black SUV alone in front of a Publix. grocery store. So, the sheriff's deputies arrive to. check things out. They run the plate, which comes back to the children's. mother, Santana Reynolds. And according to law enforcement. records, her driver's license is. suspended. So, when deputies ask one of. the young children to open the door, they did. And according to an incident. report, that is when deputies were hit.

with a strong smell of marijuana. They. reported that the SUV was running, but. the air conditioning didn't seem to be. working properly. Remember how hot this. is? The report says that all the. children were sweating heavily. Now, what happens next? So, soon, a man. later identified as DeShawn Hall came. out of the Publix, and deputies. discovered that he was the kids' father. But once Hall seemingly realizes he's. about to be in serious trouble, he. allegedly takes off, leaving the.

She. claims she was working as a grocery. delivery driver, that her license. suspension had already been worked out. with the courts, but it's not showing up. that way in the deputy systems. I. I come outside, I see my kids in the. 10-7 is in the FCA. Okay. You have a license on you?

That's. something you got to figure out with the. court system, but your as of right now. you're still suspended for failure to. appear.

And Hall and Reynolds were both. transported to jail facilities, although. they both continued to seemingly insist.

for possession of marijuana. Hall was. also wanted on warrants out of other. jurisdictions. This is according to the. sheriff's office. It's unclear exactly. what the outcomes of their criminal. cases has been, but I'll just tell you. this much from a human point of view. It. is fortunate that none of these children. were seriously hurt and hopefully at the. you know, very least there was a lesson. learned here. This is one of the reasons. we're bringing attention to this matter. because we see these kinds of cases over. and over and over again.
