Birthday Reflections And A Big Surprise | Khloé In Wonder Land Ep. 21
[Music]. I cannot believe that it's my birthday. week. I also can't believe that I'm. going to be 41. That is crazy. So, I. wanted to do a solo episode and talk. about my 40th year self-reflecting, where I'm going, all that good stuff. So, come on with me for the ride of my. 40s. When I was young, our representation of.
40 was like the golden girls. That is. not 20, 25, 40. I mean, Eva Longoria, JLo, these women are in their 50s and. they look stunning. So, I'm not afraid. to age. I actually think it's super. badass. When you turn 40, you sort of. don't give a anymore. You're like, what. did I care so much about what he and she. thought or said about me? But you do. have.
Is everything dark here? Should I tell ghost stories? Once upon a. time. This Hi. [Music]. Right now, I am very into designer bags, but I don't want to actually buy them. So, I recently joined this thing called. Vivil. Here's the deal. It is a. membersonly club where you can borrow. designer bags, jewelry, watches, even.
diamonds if you're feeling crazy. And. when I say designer, I mean like Hermes, Fendi, Dior, St. Lauron, you get it. It's all the good stuff. And the best. part, you can hang on to whatever you. borrow for as long as you want. No. return dates. So if you fall in love. with a little Chanel number, keep it as. long as you want. Or you can swap it out. next month for something else. Vivrell. is the firstofits-kind luxury. accessories membersonly club providing. members with access to borrow designer. handbags, jewelry, watches, and.
diamonds. Members can treat the Vivil. closet like their own and borrow. anything within their tier. Vivil has no. return dates. Members can swap items. once per month or keep items as long as. they'd like. Memberships start at $45 a. month with the most popular being the. classic tier for $119 a month. Fendi, St. Laurent, Dior, and many, many. more. And you can use code Chloe to get. 30% off your first month of membership. Chloe. I cannot believe that it's my birthday. week. I also can't believe that I'm. going to be 41. That is crazy. So, I. wanted to do a solo episode and talk. about. my 40th year, all the things that I've. done, self-reflecting, where I'm going, all that good stuff. So, come on with me. for the ride of my 40s. I am turning 41,
which is crazy. I cannot believe I'm 41. I definitely feel like a child. sometimes, but I love celebrating my. birthday. I just love celebrating really. anything. I'm not doing anything big. this year. 41's not a big birthday, but. I had the craziest 40th birthday, so. that makes up for. tons of birthdays to come. But yeah, it's not some big celebration, which.
isn't a bad thing. I also love a chill. birthday. Last year for my 40th, Kim. threw me my Chloewood birthday in honor. of Dolly Parton Dollywood, which I. loved. But on my actual birthday, because we celebrated my surprise. birthday was, I think 2 days later, but. my actual birthday, I had a pool party. at my house, but just for the kids, some. of my closest friends, and that was it. And that is like my dream celebration. So, I love doing stuff like that. And as.
perfect as Chloewood was, I could also. just do the pool party and be so so. happy, which I was. So for me turning. 40, I literally was counting down the. days. Um, I promise you, I had like a. calendar and I was like, "Okay, 6 months and two days left." Like I was. so looking forward to being 40. My 30s. were incredible formative.
learning lesson moments in my life and I. feel like I got. hopefully every lesson that I need in. life out in my 30s. I'm like, "Okay, I. did it. I paid my dues. Whatever bad. karma I had or whatever, it all. happened.". And I just was so excited for 40s. I. also think seeing my sisters and how. great their 40s have been to them, other. friends of mine, their 40s are so good.
to them. When I was young, our representation of. 40 was like the Golden Girls. I don't. know if you guys know who the Golden. Girls are, but it's like you turned 40. or 50, they're going to send you to. Florida and you live with some girls and. you just go there and wear mumoos and. like that's it. That is not 2025 40. Like now I mean Eva Longoria, JLo, these. women are in their 50s and they look.
stunning. They're just getting started. They're doing all these things. was. like, "Eva, the things that I see Loria. doing, I'm like, yes." Like, you just. get so excited. So, I am not afraid to. age. I actually think it's super badass. And in my 30s, I remember especially my. 39th year, I made a. I would say 38th and 39th year, I made a. really. really definitive decision and effort to.
do things that I've been too afraid or. in my head to do well in my 30s. All. things I know I can do. I was just too. scared or I got in my own way. and. not on purpose because things take years. to create, but I think the podcast was. more intentional. Launching Cloud and. launching Exo Chloe. It just sort of happened that it was in.
my 40th year. I didn't know if it would. take longer to launch cuz those things. take more time. Launching my podcast in. my 40th year was just it that was more. like, okay, let's do this. I want to do. it now. This is the right time. doing. things that I was too afraid to do. before and didn't realize I'd be doing. them all at once, which is. really exhilarating, a little overwhelming at times, but what. better time than now? Like, this is the. time to do it. So, I I've had the most.
incredible 40th year. I have felt so. accomplished and proud of myself. I've. done all these things that I said I was. going to do and I'm doing them and I. think I'm doing them really well. I'm. not just, you know, h throwing up all these balls. I'm actually juggling. Like I'm making. it work and I I'm proud of myself for. that. I'm proud of what I'm showing my. kids. I also think that anyone male or.
female, you get older and you think, "Damn, it should have happened already. or this should have happened. I should. have done this. I should have done. that.". And you can psych yourself out a lot of. times. And I think. it's really really exciting that even. when you have those moments of doubt and. self-doubt and all that stuff where. you're. you don't really know where you're going. to go and you just feel like h that.
window is passed. No, I think you can have it at any time. It's just on you. You have to have the. confidence. You have to have the you. have to be strong willed the the. mindset. And so for me that I did all. these things, I would say later in life. I'm still young in my eyes. But people. think like, oh, 40, you're, you know, everyone's like, you're 40. Yes, I'm 40. Like I think you need to spin being 40.
I still think 40 is really young. So I. love it. I love all the things I've been. doing. And I think everything's perfect. timing. I feel like my. Tatum a few years ago was too much of a. baby to really leave and try to do all. these business ventures. I just think. everything has been at the perfect. timing and I'm I'm happy. I'm excited to. see what 41 is going to bring. I don't. think this has just been my year. I'm. claiming that this is my decade or.
decades and I'm excited for what is to. come. It's interesting. So, I did a. radio show called Chloe After Dark. Not. podcast, a radio show. So, it's. different. It was just a different. energy. I think if I launched this when. I was 30, I would just be talking about. different things. I don't think I would. be having. the J Shetty and the Dr. Becky's on and. the Mel Robbins. I'm sure who who knows.
who I'd be having on, but probably not. people that were going to be helping us. and giving us takeaways. It would. probably just be a debauchery of an hour. and chaos, which is fun. There's It's. okay to have different versions of. yourself. And Chloe After Dark was a. little bit more like that than I had. cocktails with Chloe. Like they were. just different. different versions of me. Not bad, not. good. But this podcast,
like every guest that I've had, I'm. really proud about. I feel like even if. you don't resonate with one of the. guests, you're like, I'm not into that. subject. Somebody else is. But I feel. like every guest has been solid. I think. there's a takeaway and something you can. learn from every person that's been on. here, and I'm proud about that. I think we can all easily do salacious. clickbait things and I just didn't want.
to do that. I wanted to do things of. substance and things that. piqued my curiosities and. made me feel good. So I it's a totally. different vibe than what this podcast. would have been if this was 10 years. ago. my 30s, my self-esteem was shot. More so my later, my second half of my. 30s, like 35 and on, my self-esteem was. just shot. I wasn't the same version of. myself.
I doubted, second guessed, and doubted. every single thing I did and just never. felt like I was good enough. And what's. crazy is I never felt that way before. I. was probably overly confident in a but. not in like an arrogant way, in like a. fun, silly way. If I had insecurities, I. would laugh about them. It was just I. was a different me. I definitely didn't. recognize myself, but almost I didn't. know how to deal with me. Like, I didn't. know how to approach myself.
I did a lot of. selfwork. You have to put in the work. You can't. just say, "I I want to be better. I wish. I wasn't like this." you actually have. to do the work to get better. And I did. and I still am all the time. But when you turn 40, at least for me, you sort of don't give a anymore. You're. like, "What was I tripping out about? What did I care so much about what he. and she thought or said about me?" I'm.
sure I have my days. I'm sure there's. days that I feel more insecure than. others or whatnot, but you do have. No, it's okay. This happens for us. Really just gone up. Yeah. Should I tell. ghost stories? Yeah. Once upon a time. That's all I got. [Music].
Yeah. What are you guys doing? [Music]. Birthday. Oh my god. Happy birthday to you. Yay. [Music].

It's small, colorful, and. basically helps me get everything that I. want with zero hassle. I know we all use. Venmo to pay people back or split. dinner, but here's the plot twist. You can. earn up to 15% cash back at select. merchants. It's like a credit card but. without the credit part. No bills, no. interest, just rewards. And it's. actually really cute. You get to pick a. color, and I chose one that kind of. matches my phone case. It's really cute. It looks very intentionally aesthetic. So, yeah, if you're not already using. the Venmo debit card, you are seriously. missing out. Head to venmo.me/debit.
to get in on this. You know what I've. been really loving this summer? Escaping. to a space that feels completely mine. long. Head to wayfair.com right now to. shop a huge outdoor selection. That's w. afir.com. Wayfair, every style, every home. That. was honestly the best surprise. We've. had a few moments in this studio where. the lights have gone out. So for those. of you that are like, "God, she didn't. seem that concerned that the lights went. out." I wasn't. because it's happened. three maybe four times. I can't remember.
but I definitely three. We had to buy a. generator for it. So I was used to the. lights going out. Wasn't that surprised. by the lights. I was so surprised by the. squad that came in with the balloons and. the beautiful faces and the birthday. cake and what a great surprise. And it. also just reminds me of how great and. happy life can be and celebrate. especially. I don't know I feel like sometimes we.
get I used to get sad on my birthdays. and now there's just no reason to. So. I'm so grateful for the 40 years that I. have had on this earth. I'm so grateful. for the highs and the lows and all of. that. I am so incredibly excited for. what's to come for the next 40. I think. sky's is the limit. I don't even want to. say this out loud, but I will. One day. you girls are going to be.
teenagers and then adults and then get. married and then. be mommies and then I'm going to be an. old lady and I'm going to walk with my. cane. And I'm so excited for that, you guys. I. really am. Then why do you say TR is. like only six? Well, because in my I. don't ever want you guys to grow up. It.
makes me so sad every day. And just. knowing that now next year, you're in. third grade, you're in second grade. I. my heart, this year, whatever, the next. school year, my heart can't handle it. And I just think, oh my gosh, how did. this happen so quickly? And when you. guys are young, like right now to go to your next. birthday, you're probably like, "Gosh, time is so slow. I want my next party.".
You've already thought of the theme. You. thought of what you want to do. You've. thought it all, but it time is moving. like a snail. When you get older, time. moves like lightning. And I'm like, "Wait, but I just had my Dolly apartment. party." Remember my Dolly apartment. party? They call her Dolly apartment. instead of that's what they think her. name is. And instead of what? I'm not. going to tell you. I think it's cute. that that's what you guys call her. I. want another. No. Why? Dolly. And so. Dolly Parton. Dolly what? Parton.
Apartment. Yeah. Can you just tell us. the Dolly Parton name? Dolly Parton. Parton. I said Parton. But what I'm. saying is I feel like I was just. celebrating my 40th and now I'm going to. be 41 and then soon before I know it I'm. going to be 45 and it's all going to. Right. But what I'm trying to say is it. goes in a blink and before you know it. you're older. So.
enjoy every single second cuz every. moment is a blessing and a gift. You. have just a little bit of time to be. young. So you guys enjoy it and be as. young as you want to be because then. you're just an adult. and so it goes quickly. So enjoy be a. teenager. Yes. But that's still young. You've it's such a short time until. let's say you're 25.
and under is going to be young. And then. when you're 25 and older. it just goes like that. How old is Jane. going to be when you're 25? How old is. she going to be? She'll be 27. I can't even talk about it. I mean, like. I said, you fantasize about your life, whether it be I don't think someone I. don't I've never pinpointed 40, but just.
my adult life. And you dream it up to be. one way and then it goes another way. Not bad, not good. It's just different. than what you've dreamt up. And I love. my life. I love where I'm at in my life. I love who I'm surrounded by in my life. Um. right now always like I just feel like. I'm in such a great space. I have such a. great tribe around me. I've made really. I've been really aware of who I even do.
business with, what I want those types. of people that are in my life because. life is too short and I just want to be. surrounded by. kind, good-hearted, decent people at. their core. And then of course, I want. you to be really smart and great at what. you do and. build me up and I build you up. I want. all those things, but I think to be at a. point where I know what I deserve and to. set those boundaries for myself, I think. I'm just in a really, really healthy,
great place. And I don't ever see myself. going backwards. What do you think. you're going to be like when you're 40? In your head, what does 40 mean to you? Like an old lady? That's what you said, J. What' she say? She said when you're 40, you're you're. old. Old. You're old when you're 40. That's what she said. A little bit a. little bit. So, do you think I'm old? No. You guys, what is your birthday wish.
for your mommy right now? Puppy. No. What's your wish for me? Puppy. A puppy. Thank you. What's your. wish for me? A puppy. A what? I want a. puppy so bad. You want a puppy so badly? Well, that's your wish. That's your. wish. What do you wish for me? A cook. A. puppy. Okay. What about you? To be. healthy. To be healthy. Yours is still a puppy. Okay.
Thank you guys so much for being on my. journey for as long as you guys have. been. Thank you guys for bringing in my. 41st birthday with me and all the. kiddos. This is not the end. It's just the. beginning. And I hope that you guys will. celebrate the next few birthdays with. me. This isn't the last. And yeah, cheers to life, everyone.
