All right, I don't know about you guys, but there is a group of MAGA voters who. aren't cultists, but they are like, I. like the tax breaks, and I like what. Trump's doing for my 401K. And then you. mention to them like, what about how. anti-gay MAGA is? What about how racist. they are? And they're dismissive of it. Like, oh no, I'm I'm a moderate. I'm. pro-gay. I'm LGBTQ+ out the wazoo. Well, it turns out they're not. It turns out. that there's a group of Americans that. care more about their alleged tax break. and the economy that they're willing to.

throw people they love under the bus. They're willing to look people in the. eye and say, I love you, but I'm going. to go cast a vote that's going to hurt. you. And one of the champions, the. biggest homophobe on the planet of this. movement is Riley Gaines, who only has a. career because she tied for fifth place. with a trans uh swimmer. Actor Elliot. Page steps out on the red carpet in. London, and Riley Gaines has a. stage-five meltdown regarding this. Like, nobody on the planet would think.

Like, what's going on in your life that you're. so fixated on somebody. whose acting career affects your life. zero. If that trans swimmer. had not tied for you for fifth place, you'd still be fifth place, but you. wouldn't have this hateful career.

from my life in the Bible Belt, there. are. private schools popping up all over the. place. And these schools are explicitly. anti-trans, anti-LGBTQ+. They make the students and the parents. sign documents that say that they. believe that marriage is only between a. man and a woman. They make uh parents. sign documents that they will only. enroll their child at the gender they.

were given at birth. This is systemic discrimination. Uh my son wanted to go to a particular. Catholic school and because all of his. friends were going there and there was a. document that I was required to sign. And I told my son, I will not sign this. document. It was a homophobic, institutionalized, anti-LGBTQ+. contract that I am incapable of signing. I was incapable of signing it and told.

my son, I'm so sorry, but you cannot go. to this school because I will not pay. money to an organization that covered up. child rape and now is injecting. institutionalized homophobia into the. system. My son later, of course he was mad at. me, but it was a a fight that I was. willing to take on to teach him how to. have moral grit, to teach him how to. stand up for the marginalized. And a. year later, he thanked me. because a lot of these kids, of course, this culture trickles down.

They use slurs like f a g g o t. The. parents just dismiss it and say, "Hmm, doesn't surprise me that they say that.". Well, it needs to surprise us because. look at what is happening. Look at what is happening to our. country. For LGBTQ+ Americans, their. first bullies are their parents in many. cases, their churches, their schools. And regardless of how many schools make. these contracts, you're not going to.

ungay somebody. Conservative MAGA people give birth to. gay kids. Christians give birth to gay. kids. I want to live in a culture where. we. teach acceptance and tolerance and. people have a backbone and stand up for. the marginalized instead of constantly. capitulating to right-wing patriarchal. framing. It's dangerous. It's hurtful and it's in this whole. generation.

of kids that are being raised with. Donald Trump as the president of the. United States. Their moral standards are. already so degraded. But then you pile on these schools and. you pile on the federal government, and. you pile on Fox News. The obsession with gender and sexuality. by the Republicans is at a fever pitch. because historians and scholars have. told us. from the very beginning that the through. line between all of these autocracies is.

homophobia. And the next on the table is. women. And if you subscribe to a politics. that leaves someone behind, eventually you will get left behind. This is just one stop, and then they. will move the goalpost and move them. again. And I think if the Riley Gaines. of the world. she's so anti-trans, and she's so. anti-gay don't have trans friends, don't. have gay friends, go to white Bible.
