All right. It's always been AI and the. tech oligarchs that were coming for us. It's never been the immigrants. It's. never been the um LGBTQ plus community. It's never been the zero trans players. in the WNBA. And the Anthropic CEO makes. a dire warning about the future of AI. Pop this up. Okay, this is startling starting to feel. like a disaster. the CEO of. Anthropic just published an article. admitting AI is already building the. next generation of AI by itself. He says.

within 6 to 12 months a rogue swarm. could take over the entire internet and. cause hundreds of billions of dollars in. damage. And what makes it scarier, Elon. Musk just backed up everything Daario. said. All of this dropping just days. after Jacob Coxin went viral with his. warning about AI and the extinction of. humanity. Tell me this isn't strange. And um in the article or in the.

statement they write in 6 to 12 months. such a swarm could be capable of taking. over the entire internet with a. persistent botn net potentially causing. hundreds of billions of dollars in. damage. and the scale of damage would. continue to increase from there if AI. becomes more powerful without the. necessary guard rails. I wonder if we. have a government that's interested in. guard rails. Um Josh, [snorts]. >> well, this is one of those scenarios, who do you trust here? Do you trust.

these billionaire CEOs that they really. need regulation? I think there is some. truth to that. I think that based on. that piece uh that the insider uh. published just a few days ago, there's. some merit to that. But I I I think it's. an about face for these CEOs of these AI. companies to now all of a sudden say. this unless there's some financial gain. from them, some financial motive. And so. we're in this scenario. I don't really. trust what they're saying, but I do. think that there's merit to it. And we. damn sure don't trust our government. Uh.

Should the AI industry slow down or be. more regulated? >> Well, I say this, look, we're leading. China in AI. We're most sophisticated. country in the world. And frankly, I. want to keep it that way because whoever. wins AI wins. And uh we can put guard. rails. We can do this and that. But I. think you have a lot of negative forces. that are bringing it up that uh.

shouldn't be bringing it up. >> It's pretty rich for Trump to talk about. negative forces. [snorts] Here's the. thing. He scares people with China's. going to be ahead of us. The reality is. since he has been in government, these. big tech oligarchs have bribed him, paid. him, corrupted, whatever. He's gotten. rich, his kids have gotten rich. [snorts] And then not only does he not. want to put federal regulations on it, he [snorts] is trying to institute. policies that will not allow the states.

to control AI. That tells me this is a. terrifying situation because if Trump is. all in on these oligarchs getting power, it's because he wants to enrich himself. It's not for the good of the American. people at all in my opinion. >> Well, and he says whoever wins AI wins. Is that true? Or is whoever wins AI gets. killed by AI? Right. >> Furthermore, um nobody has assisted. China. >> more than Donald Trump in in this.

regime. No one has assisted the rise of. China as a superpower and the demise of. the United States of America as a. superpower more than Donald Trump. are. former allies. Uh, and I say former. loosely there, but I think they would. consider former Canada, the EU. Who are. they looking to as reliable trade. partners, not this who, um, goes. through dementia sundowner hour every. day, multiple times a day, uh, goes on. these AI sloth posting sprees. They are.

going to China as a more reliable. trading partner. But let's listen to. what the speaker of the house, little. Moses Mike Grinder Johnson, a guy who. has power, a guy who could put in a. guard rail. What does he do and say. about this? Play the clip. >> The guys who are raising the alarms. right now all have very different ideas. on what the guardrail should be. There's. no consensus among them. And Congress is. obviously less qualified than the people. who are pushing this frontier to know. all the ins and outs of it. So, this has. to be a a partnership with the industry. itself, with the corporations that are.

doing this, and with the policy and. lawmakers. And. >> Josh, >> boy, that sounds reassuring, doesn't it? Although he does make the admission that. Congress is unqualified. Like he does. [laughter] make that admission up front. You know, every time I hear an interview. with him, it just it just gets worse and. worse and worse. And I think we'll. probably revisit that same interview. later. Uh we have no leadership at the. federal government. We have no. oversight. We have nothing. Uh of course. AI needs to be regulated. Everybody.

knows that. We've been screaming that. forever. And he's got uh he's got no. opinion about this. He's got no. leadership. He's got no policy. He's. just got nothing, which is typical for. Republicans. If he's not screaming about. trans issues, he's not saying a damn. thing. >> And I think it's important to listen to. what the people who are really embedded. into tech and covering it. Journalists. like uh Gil Duran. He just wrote a book. called The Nerd Reich. The desire of. these tech oligarchs is to create one.

government of the world that is run by. technology. And in that technology, they. provide us socialism, communism, the. money and the goods that we need. And. these tech oligarchs run the technology. As crazy and dystopian as that sounds, look into what Peter Thiel, Curtis. Yarvin, and others want to do. These. guys get so much money they enter a. stage of billionaire psychosis. They get.

bored and they think, "Oh, what else can. we create? What else can we create?". They want to dismantle democracy. They. want to dismantle all humanness in the. world. This is really gross stuff. Moving along. Obama is warning Democrats. about AI. Pop this up. Obama implored. Democratic leaders to move AI oversight. to the center of the party's agenda, warning during a private fundraiser this. past week that the technology could be. dangerous if they do not get on top of.

it. Bernie Sanders of course has been. saying this as well, but I think this is. really smart strategically, Angie, because um you look at what happens with. the data centers and the outpouring. bipartisan support of the people that. have to live around these data centers. screaming no, we don't want them near. us. What's your take? >> Well, I think that uh Obama is a. brilliant politician and I completely. agree with him. I would say that the. American public has made their feelings.

about AI as clear as crystal. Same with. the government of Israel. So I'm saying. listen to your constituents. Obama is. voicing concerns the American people are. voicing and you have Trump poo pooing. it. And so we need to see these. lawmakers. Are they getting funding. from, you know, Israeli corporate. interests and are they getting funding. from AI corporate interests? And we know. for a fact, you know, Chuck Schumer,

speaker of the or I'm sorry, the Senate. minority leader is as deep with. Palunteer. So, I think as voters, we've. made our mark on what we think of this. issue. And I am glad to see Obama coming. out front and saying, "Hey, you got to. pay attention.". >> Yeah. And I just don't think that right. now anybody thinks that many people. think about what the voters want. That's. why I think you have these independent. candidates in the DSA that are winning. because um they are speaking to the.

needs of policies that can deliver. materially for the people. And so then. you look at who is opposing DSA. candidates, the Democratic establishment. and the Republican party, every single. bit of it. M all of it. And so as we see. this economic populism rise up, the. forces that are uniting with the uh tech. oligarchs in the United States. government, this is an uphill battle, but we can do it. What they're what. they've done, which is just insane, is.

they are embedded now in the national. government, in the [clears throat]. federal government. This technology is. embedded. Do you remember the story um. um about a year ago where in the army uh. and and in the in the Pentagon they were. putting um tech um uh CEOs and whatnot. embedded in the United States military. Um and now the new season of 60 minutes. premiered last night and this. administration is already colluding with. Barry Weiss. Pop this up. Hexath heavily.

pressured the two crew members of the US. F115 or F-15 shot down over Iran in. April to appear on tonight's 60 Minutes. report on their rescue, meeting them. privately and asking them whether they. would take part voluntarily or be. directly ordered to after both had. raised concerns about the interview per. CNN. One airman agreed, the other one. refused. Um.

Josh th this type of propaganda that is. now being ordered from the uh secretary. of defense he's ordering United States. military to go on TV and propagandize. about the failures of Pete Hags reign as. uh defense secretary. >> Any other administration this would be a. page one headline. this would be a top. story here. It's buried somewhere.

because of all of the other corruption. But keep in mind, we executed uh. individuals on boats outside of. Venezuela. I mean, just just downright. executions uh by the orders of Pete. Hexath. what's happened here and all of this is. a disgrace. At some point, there's going. to have to be some accountability when. the Democrats take over and ask. questions about this because we have a. Congress that just lays down. There's. been plenty of evidence uh to support. the fact that Pete Hexth, and this is by. both aisles, is simply an incompetent. leader. He's incompetent. getting involved in a um United States. military um officer to go propagandize, aka lie, for Pete Hagsth, is not. supporting the troops. It's not. supporting the Constitution. We have a government right now that is. actively trying to dismantle our. government. So when you hear Donald. Trump talk about China winning, well, yeah, you're making sure of that. But. also, another adversary of ours is just. delighted, absolutely delighted at the.

arrival of the incompetent dipship. cabinet of Donald Trump. And. that of course is Vladimir Putin. [clears throat]. in Russia. And here's a clip. Jared. And obviously. our job as the mediators to figure out. how can we come up with a creative. solution that doesn't um that doesn't. violate their desires and that helps. them achieve you know their objective. and does in a way that we can get uh. Russia to to end the uh to end the. conflict in a way that hopefully um you. know allows both parties to move forward. in a framework that uh that where this. doesn't happen again. These are diabolical. smart people. You work for a diabolical. the fact that he is saying that. Ukraine just needs to give Putin what he. wants and that we still have some. European allies. um bending the knee to Trump is a real.

wakeup moment here. >> Yeah. And I look at Jared Kushner and I. think I mean obviously he's not an. expert in any of this but the way he. speaks and talks [snorts] and his l I. mean his just complete arrogance to. think that he's the guy that I'm the guy. that's going to fix this when really he. just wants Ukraine to lay down. And. [snorts] I would just say to me, and I. think Marco Rubio sucks the all the way, but this tells me what a bad situation.

and a bad deal and that we're only after. money when we go over there and. negotiate with Russia because the. Secretary of State is not going. It's. these two, Jared Kushner, who has. personally enriched himself. Steve. Wickoff personally enriched themselves. So, this is not a diplomatic mission. This is a pocketbook mission. And it. really makes me sad for the people of. Ukraine that this we're dragging this. out after Trump was going to, you know, stop the war in one day, which everybody. with a brain knew was Yeah.

Everything with this administration is a. complete shakeddown. And the fix is in. The fix is in. The only way to uh halt. the fix is um the midterms. And one. final clip here. Trump was asked about.
