And thanks again to WB games for sponsoring. this portion of today's episode. Oh, and by the way, today is July 11th, AKA 7-11, AKA Slurpee Day, not a sponsor. And we're paying homage to that tall cup. of icy deliciousness the best way we know how. - It's time for "Will it Slurpee"?
- Many great minds have tried, but no one throughout the history of science. has been able to create one specific thing, a hot Slurpee, until today. - Hmm. - And this Slurpee isn't just hot, it's flaming hot. We're calling it the, a Slurpee of ice and fire. But I'm also calling it the Ice Spice. - Oh, I think I like that better. Nicole, what'd you do? - [Nicole] Hey, you okay, Link?
You said you were gonna remove the top on it. - I don't think he's okay. - I was gonna remove the top. - I don't think you should take off the top. - Okay. - Just let things be sometimes. - Well, how are we supposed to use the scoop? - You stick it through the top and scoop it out, like a person. - Okay, well that's what I'm gonna do, but what did you do? - [Nicole] Well, we made our own proprietary. flaming hot spice blend. with tons of lots of chilies, citric acid, some cheddar cheese powder, and then a handful of flaming hot Cheetos. in there as well for texture. And then in order to make a Slurpee,
there's actually quite a lot of science that goes behind it. There's like a specific ice to water to corn syrup ratio. I hope you guys enjoy. - Hold on. Did you sneak into the lab? How did you find that out? - No. - Okay, that sounded guilty. You can try a little sip first. Because I think if you've got to scoop it out, it's not slurpable. It's not called Scoopee, it's called Slurpee.
- Mouth malfunction. Wow. Ooh, hot. - Okay. All right. - Good gosh. - Aho! - Like... - You didn't hold back. - ...when you said citric acid. What is happening? I mean, it feels like it's burning through my tongue. Is it smoking? - It is so, this is hotter. - It's not. - This is hotter than anything. flaming hot I've had. Well, it's not just. spicy hot. - Concentration. It's also like chemical. It feels like it's chemically hot. - It's taking off a layer of skin. - [Nicole] Yeah yeah, exactly.
So whenever you eat like a flaming hot Cheeto. or a flaming hot Dorito, there's that corny chippy bite. to kind of cuts through all of that. We pretty much mitigated like the majority of that. - Yeah, the majority of that was mitigated. That's exactly what I was saying. - The thing I like about this is the fact that, sometimes late at night, I'm like a gremlin. and I do eat after midnight, and sometimes if I get a hold of a bag of flaming hot, like usually I don't buy this for myself, but if my kids have got some. and they got 'em in there,
I get home, like 1:00 a.m. I'm in there. And then I come back to bed and I touch my wife. and I've got the Cheeto fingers. and she doesn't like to be touched when I've got. the Cheeto fingers. In fact, she has specifically asked me. to not touch her anywhere when I have Cheeto fingers. So now I can just come back to bed and touch freely. - Oh. - Because I'll have a Slurpee. - With this? So you're gonna drink that at midnight. - And then I'm gonna go back to bed.
- And. - Touch my wife. That's what I'm gonna do. Thank you, Nicole. - Anytime, man. - And of course. her mouth will be taped shut. - Yes, as I have required. No, my wife tapes her mouth shut. because it helps her sleep, a lot of people do it. Look it up. I have no opinion about it. She looks beautiful with and without it. - I think this will work with tequila, but otherwise, I'm not in favor.
- Yeah, well. - It's bad. - Now that I thought about... - It's accurate. - ...what I'm gonna do later. - It's so accurate. - I kind of agree. - [Link] Flaming hot, will it Slurpee? No. - What do you call those couple of months. during the middle of the year where life is at its hottest, brightest and sunniest? That's right. Corn season. - Oh yeah. Corn season. - And to pay fealty. to the almighty grain, we've made a street corn flavored Slurpee, presenting the seven elote. Get it? 'Cause it would be like 7-11, but (indistinct). - Oh yes, I do now get it.
You can dip first. Nicole, what did you do? So we made a mix of sweet corn, tortilla cheese, a little bit of parquet butter. I put butter in air quotes because it's not really butter, but it sure tastes like butter. A touch of mayo, some chili powder for spice, a fresh squeeze of lime. and a few drizzles of hot sauce around the cup. - The corn is strong with this one. - The bold flavors that. almonds, you can get in almond snacks now.
Bold flavored almond snacks. They have an elote and I got it. - Oh, you got it? - And it was, it reminded me of the show. because it reminded me of the last round, and maybe this, it was so accurate, but abhorrent. - What? - You don't like that? - Because it was... - Too corny? - ...butter flavor, like really strong butter flavor. - Get ready. I literally had a memory pop up in my mind. when I sipped on this. - Wow.
- It was fishing for bream with Aunt Helen. - That's crazy, Nicole. - You used corn. - [Nicole] I get a little crazy sometimes. - We use corn to catch bream in the farm pond. - Isn't it so accurate? But you wouldn't eat them. - Other than the fact that it's cold and wet. - But the taste, if you just, just think about the taste. - Just think about the taste. - [Link] And praise Nicole. - I'll praise Nicole. - Thank you.
- You're more pregnant than you've ever been, right? - [Nicole] As of right now, yeah. - Don't say I could tell. - Yeah. - That's what you were. about to say. - I wasn't gonna say that. - I noticed. - Been thinking about you. - [Nicole] Oh. Thank you, I think. - Hoping you're doing good. Yep, and I'll stop there for now. - [Nicole] Good job. I'm really tasting the cotija. - Cojita. - Which is sometimes said cojita if you're Link. and sometimes said cotija, if you don't know how things are pronounced,
which is often us. - [Nicole] Now you said that the first Slurpee. was missing a little corn. - Yeah, we need to mix the two. - [Nicole] Yeah, would there be if you mix, if you had one sip of this and one sip of the flaming hot, would the flaming hot retroactively work? - I think maybe, let's try it. - It would, but we don't have it. - Yes, we do. - We just don't have it. - We don't know whose straw is whose. My straw's a little bit longer.
- My straw's a little bit deeper. - Nope. - I don't. (Nicole laughing). - You don't even need to do it. - I don't want to. - The flaming hot is so overpoweringly bad, but you know what I believe this... - And let's not forget. - ...stands on its own. - Street corn, will it Slurpee? - [Both] Yes! - There's plenty of hor d'oeuvres. that I just wouldn't or do, but a big exception to that is deviled eggs.
I love these things. You love these things? - Yep. - Every time we're going out and there's like. deviled eggs on the menu for like the app, we're always trying to get those deviled eggs. - But recently we went out and they had salmon roe on them. and you didn't enjoy them. - Nope, I didn't. - So I ate yours. - So I want to redeem myself with a Slurpee. - Okay. - That's made into deviled eggs. - Well that's convenient, 'cause that's what we're doing today. - We're calling it Slurpee side up. - Ah, I get it, like eggs. - Nicole, what did you do? - [Nicole] So we made a base of egg whites,
mayonnaise and salt for the egg white part. And then the egg yolk part is a combination of dijonnaise, a little bit of stone ground mustard in addition to that, some pickle juice, egg yolks, and we put a little bit of chive and smoked paprika. on the top for garnish. - So you need to be sucking as you insert. - [Nicole] Yeah, man. Go wild. - Or as you. - As you pull out. - [Link] Because all of this is whiteness. And then this right here is the yellow.
- You can't miss the top, so you gotta be sucking. I think maybe suck the whole time. - I'm gonna suck down. I'm gonna suck down. - You sucking down or are you sucking up? You suck down, I'll suck up. - I'm sucking down. - I'll suck up. You look great today. - [Nicole] All the way down. - Iconic. (crew laughing). - Whoa, why are you going so deep? Oh, oh, oh.
Nicole? - Yes. - I'm gonna do something you said not to do. - This is reminding me of the one thing. that I don't like about deviled eggs is when they're cold, people make them and then refrigerate them, and I am- - That's 'cause they're eggs. - No, no, no. But when you make them. - You like them to be room temp. I get it. - Can you let me?
- I get it. We already know what you're gonna say. - Because you've tried to say it twice. - He likes 'em room temp. - They're great room temp. A room temp deviled egg is the perfect deviled egg. This is a lot colder than just a refrigerated deviled egg. The taste is great. Once you get over that you're in a savory Slurpee world,
which somehow this has allowed me to do that. I like it. I like it. Even though it's cold, because it's so cold, it's intentionally cold. And not just safety cold. - It's Slurpee cold. - It tastes absolutely spot on. - [Nicole] Thank you. - You're even more pregnant now. than the last time I talked to you about it. - Yep, that's right. - Think about it. - Like you're gestating. - It kind of happens constantly. - [Nicole] It's the gestation station over here.
- And let me tell you right now. that though I haven't touched you, this past weekend, well it was a couple weekends ago, I had a poke fest with this pregnant lady who, you know what? I'll just say it. - Yeah, I was there for it. - Brian's wife. Brian. - Yeah, there's two babies in there, and you poked both of them, at a wedding. - Brian, the Mythical president's wife had to endure.
- I walked up, he was poking. I walked away, came back, he was still poking. She let me do the five finger, like the, the the basketball palm. Like I was able to do that with her, where like the fingertips turn white. 'cause I'm really gripping. (Nicole laughing). - [Nicole] Yeah, I'm not there yet. - You're not, you're not ready for that. - [Nicole] No, no, no, I'm not ready for the white finger. basketball grip. - I don't believe anyone is. - But I want, you'll know.
I'll know when you're ready. - [Nicole] I know you, you'll know that. - And then I'll ask. Then I will ask. - You know what I think we should do? Change the subject. And also I want someone else to experience this. because I honestly don't know how I feel about it. I think we should third mouth this. And I want a third mouth, Mikayla, because she was recently quoted. as saying on "Good Mythical Weekend," quote, deviled eggs taste like butt. - But this.
- Do we have a special straw? - The extra? Yeah, there it is. - There we go. - Okay, thank you. - Okay. - I just want you to know too, if I ever get pregnant. around here. - Yes. - I think you should. - I'm not telling you, you're just gonna see me with the baby. You're just gonna see me with a child. Yeah. - Your mom will tell me. - She would actually, and I have to get her. I have to her sign an NDA or something, I don't know.
- Right Mom, your parents are already like, under no circumstances. acknowledge my pregnancy. - If there's anything. you can do to help Mikayla get pregnant, let me know. That's what they asked me. - Do they really? - Yeah, it was weird. - Yeah, hook me up with your famous friends or something, I don't know. - You want to get impregnated by one of my famous friends? (Rhett laughing). - It's overrated. - What's the best way to do it? This tastes like butt, but you know, deviled eggs,
it definitely tastes like a deviled egg. - Yeah. If you're tasting butt right now, then that's a yes from you. - Yes. Yeah. - [Link] Deviled eggs. Will it Slurpee? - [All] Yes. - Speaking of Mikayla eating butt, if you wanna watch what happens here on the weekend, you should watch "Good Mythical Weekend" every Saturday. In fact, tomorrow is a Saturday. - It is. Slurpees are about as synonymous with summer as barbecue, so we figured why not come combine 'em, specifically barbecued ribs. This is the baby back Slurpee.
- Great idea. Nicole, what did you do? - [Nicole] So we literally took some baby back ribs, and a ton and I mean a ton of Sweet Baby Ray's, some molasses, a little bit of liquid smoke, and then we blended it up into a Slurpee. - Is is it meaty or saucy? I mean, if she's saying like a ton of Sweet Baby Ray's, I mean the meat falls right off the straw.
I mean, I mean, this is the best one we've had so far. Can't you tell on Link's face? - It is pungent. It is so pungent. It is meaty. - It's saucy. - But mostly saucy. But there's something about cold barbecue sauce, because sometimes you don't have. to put sauces in your fridge.
This is a controversy. - I know. Why are they in the fridge? - Well, when I did my little fridge tour, I actually took sauces that I didn't have in the fridge. and put them in the fridge just so I could talk about them. But I said that, but I said that during the tour. to acknowledge that you don't. have to put sauces in the fridge. But if I had sauce I wanna talk about, I'll put it in the fridge. - If you wanna see that, it's on the Sport channel. - Yeah. - Unintentional promotion. It does taste good. - I love Sweet Baby Ray's. This is a big day for me, can I just say?
- Sweet and cold Baby Ray's. - I wasn't really a Slurpee kid, because my dad wasn't a straw guy. You know, there's a contingent, it still exists. It's not as quite as big as, thank you for that, that it used to be, that's a hair. - Go ahead. Go ahead. - And he just didn't believe in men sucking on straws. And so in our family, boys really didn't suck on straws either. And so you really didn't.
- It's a slippery slope once you start sucking on straws, - You really didn't get to slurp much. - What? - So, I don't think it was necessarily about that. I think it was just the look on a man's face. when he's sucking on a straw. is a face that my dad didn't wanna make. I mean, just watch me. - Yeah, son son, don't make that face. Yeah, don't do it. - He didn't believe in us making that face. So I didn't make that face until I was an adult. and tried a straw for the first time. - But now Rhett's living his best life, which I take it to mean barbecue ribs, will it Slurpee? - [Both] Yes!
- I'm just now learning a new thing, which is Chinese five spice. - Yeah. - And you can put it on Chinese food. Well, I don't know about this. Why don't I know about this? - You probably had it. - They don't put it in the Chinese-. - Hundreds of times. Yeah, they do. It's cooked in it. - Oh, it's cooked in it? - Yeah. It's like, it's in the recipe. - Nicole, you're gonna have to school me. after you tell me what you did to it. This is the Chinese five slurp. AKA, the ice spice.
- We're back. - [Nicole] So Chinese five spice. is a blend of Siamese clove, Sichuan peppercorn fennel and cinnamon, specifically cassia bark. And it's a really delicious complex. - Sounds pungent. - [Nicole] Very pungent, delicious spice powder. ♪ And I made a Slurpee out of it ♪. - (laughing) Yeah, you did. - Well, I think we should, we should taste it at the same time. because we need to get, this is the last one, we need to get dual reactions. - Dual reactions. Dual cam.
- Oh. - Yeah. You didn't hold back. - [Nicole] I never do. Full throttle baby, pregnancy, woo. - You gotta swallow it. - The star anise, you like that? - Is the star. The anise is the star really, of this one. - It's like a- - Licorice.
- It's that licorice, crap. - I can't say that I dislike the taste of five spice, but I do not like what just happened to me. But this is, I'd be scared to drink anymore of it. - [Nicole] I understand. - So Chinese five spice, will it Slurpee? - [Both] No! - Never! - We had some winners today, we had some losers. But you're all winners, right? Don't forget to come back. for Good Mythical Weekend tomorrow, which will be right here on this channel. - Thanks for commenting and sharing this video. - You know what time it is.
- Hi, I'm Tim. - I'm Gretchen. - And we're on the Appalachian Trail. at Dragon's Tooth Lookout. And it's time to spin the wheel of mythicality. Woo. - Look out. Click the top link to see us rank the crew. because it was on a lookout, to see us rank the crew's crazy high school stories. in Good Mythical Morning. - And to find out where. the Wheel of Mythicality's gonna land. - [Rhett] Thank you again to WB Games. for sponsoring this video. And don't forget to download DC Worlds Collide. A new episode of "Good Mythical Weekend". is coming your way tomorrow morning.
Be sure to tune in. - Trevor? - In a butt. (crew laughing). - Yeah. - In a butt.
