Which Is The Impostor Snack? (Taste Test)

Can we identify the foreign snack imposter? Let's talk about that. [Funky intro music]. Good Mythical Morning. If there's one thing that unites the entire world, it's a love of snacking. Mm-hmm. Well, that and a fear of the deep ocean. I mean, seriously, what's going on down there? It's spooky. I don't like it. Everybody on the whole planet agrees with me. Right.

But everyone on the whole planet also agrees that. snacks are the best. Yeah. And thanks to international grocery stores, like the ones. we have here in LA, we have access to the best snacks. from all over the planet. So many that it's sometimes hard to tell which snacks come. from which countries. And much like the sciences who say that. the Mariana Trench is nothing but a harmless geological. feature. Really pushing this--. Some of those snacks might be trying to trick us. Okay, it's time for sneaky, sneaky snacks.

Okay, boys in front of you are four different salty snacks. Three of them hail from Argentina and one is an. imposter from a completely different country, but. which and which country. That's exactly what you're gonna be figuring out today. Crap, that's a big question. If you guess, which is the imposter. You get a point. If you guess the country, you get additional points. There's nothing but points on the line for you today. Also, nothing points. Also, you get a briefcase today. I know we don't often get, give you a briefcase,

but in that briefcase you have a list. of all the countries that the imposters could be. from and a few decoys. Oh, because we wanna make it, uh, hard. Can you read the list? Australia? Yes. Chile. Yeah. I just like to yourself, China is really what. I was. To ourselves. Yeah. China. Okay. Go ahead and taste. Uh, I've never been to Argentina, so what am. I supposed to do here? But, but we are friends with somebody who lived in.

Argentina. And he brought back. Mate. Yep. Remember that? He talked about how they would just sit in. parks and drink mate. Hmm. That's good. I can't place it though. I think it's a chicken flavored stick. It's a salty brothy stick from where? Argentina. That's just a good snack right here. These others. I can't, I can't tell you what flavor that is either though. It's um, it's a sweet mess. It's got more, it's got more typical like.

chip dust on it though. You know, like in the realm of regular chip dust. Hey, is there any, any two friends who've eaten more. together than we have? I mean, think about it. There's probably, I mean, there's probably like a set. of roommates somewhere that have breakfast and dinner. together every day. That would never get near us, dude. Every single day. Wait, yeah, we, we, we, we've done this for 15, 20 years. No, but they, they moved in together.

They were college roommates, but then. they moved in together. They have breakfast and dinner together. and sometimes. Okay. Especially during COVID, they, they would, they would have lunch. together 'cause they were both working from home. And would they exclusively just talk about what. they're eating and? No, they talk about life. Well, we do that sometimes. Oh god. These, they're horrible. These are horrible. It's like hot dog water. Meat, that's meat flavored. It's meat flavored. It's nasty. And I think you might be right that these are meat. flavored. It's palpable. I mean it's, uh, palatable.

I can also touch it. Now this one, it tastes like a cheesy, it's like a combo. Hmm. With nothing in the middle. It's wagon wheel shape, but it's a, it's a hollow combo. Okay. These are, these are very similar. I have a guess. Okay. Your job is. This is the one that sucks. Does that mean that that's the one we're choosing? Well, you're playing against each other. And that's not how the game works. That's a bummer. But yeah, I'll see that now. Um, okay, which one is from Argentina? 3, 2, 1. It's gotta be this. I'm gonna, you know what, lured you in.

And now I am going with this. The imposter snack. is in bowl number two. Yes. It's my day. Okay. But to get--. Here's why. The three additional points, you have to guess which. country it's actually from. All right. Rhett, you can't do this. Not true. You both guess. Oh, right, right, right, right. I'm gonna give you a 3, 2, 1. Oh, oh wait. Hold on. We gotta this. Yeah. 'cause this is gonna help us. Okay.

3, 2, 1. [Rhett] Australia. [Link] Vietnam. The sneaky, sneaky snack was Smith's burger rings from. Australia. Yeah. Got more poison in made for the dumb part. Why would you say Vietnam? It tastes like a, it tastes like a--. A burger? Let's see the packaging on this one. This one. Smith's. Smith's burger rings from Australia. This was the imposter. Burger rings. Snack.

Burger rings. I don't know what is a burger ring? It tastes like ketchup. And mustard together. But it's--. But it taste very--. Like an onion ring too. It just had a very, like western snack taste. It doesn't say anywhere on the front or back. What it's supposed to taste like. Burgers. It says it right there. Burger. Yeah. But. And then big burger taste. It literally says that, you know what I mean? It doesn't say anywhere on here what it tastes like. You know what I mean? Hey, what do these burger rings with a big burger taste,

taste like? Well, but, but, but, but you know what I mean. Okay. The other snacks, the First Bowl, those are. Palitos Pep in Bacon flavor. Yeah. Okay. Bacon, those are good. And then you have Dos Hermanos Baked rice snacks. in Serrano Ham Flavor Ham. Well, lemme revisit. That's bad. And finally, yeah, Rudeitas pep and pizza flavor. Those are good. Pep is like the combos of Argentina.

Hmm. Little pep in your step. Three of these Oreos are from China and one is not. Well, this one's blondish. That one's looks normal. This one has. a weird. There's a flavor on that cream. Weird thing in the cream. And this one has a weird thing in the cream too. The flavor on that cream is notable. I see what you're doing there. Oh, this is double flavored.

It's buttery. It almost tastes wow. Like a cinnamon roll. Is there some cinnamon in there? Yeah, I think it's a cinnamon roll flavor. The second one is very floral. Well, I ain't gonna like that. I don't want flowers on my Oreo. What kind of flowers do you want to eat with chocolate? When's the last time you picked a flower. in, you thought, I want to eat chocolate. I've had, uh, you get fancy. Uh, Stevie got me a whole series of fancy chocolate. bars for Christmas. And did they have flowers? One of 'em had flowers. In it? In it.

Like, what? The kinds you eat. And I quite loved it. Like I've eaten a weed, like the sour weeds. I, I did forget to tell her how much I enjoyed it. She had to ask me. Ooh, what is this? Cheese. Cheese. Oh God. Reinterpret it. Reinterpret it. It's cheese in an Oreo. Once you know it. Hey, we know about chocolate and cheese around here. What the dookie? Oh, I just broke this one. She asked me what I thought about my chili oil and I.

had to lie to her face. I still haven't tried it. What is this? Matcha? Stevie, you hear that? Oh, I'm listening. I'm joking. I'm wondering if the matcha still-. I'm joking. It's so funny. I'm wondering if the matcha's to, to throw us. off because matcha has become so ubiquitous. Okay. Stevie, you know what Christie told me the other night? I don't. She leaned over to me. She said,. I hate you. [laughter].

What? I said the other night, not last night, I'm sorry, I couldn't resist. She leaned over to me. She leaned over to me. She got real close to my ear and she said. Why would she say I hate you? I hate you. And then I looked over and she was back on her phone. Mm-hmm. She, she leaned over to me the other night and.

she said, I want some deviled eggs for dinner. Why was she asking you? She did, she, she was putting me on notice that she was. gonna make some deviled eggs. Oh, okay. And lemme tell you, she made it and she put that chili oil. Mm. Oh, you got me in there full circle. Oh my God. Foolproof deviled eggs. That is some good Deviled eggs. I'm ready to guess. Okay. Imposter snack in three, two. One cheese.

Oh, now you switching up. Did I move you? No. Okay. I think that the matcha might be a local one. The imposter snack is in bowl number one. How did you do that? Because it was the only one that tasted like. something that would be like from America. Let's see what it is. Well, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no. Not yet. You have to guess the country. You have to guess the country it's from. Do you remember that? Open the briefcase, please. You were right. I said it.

Okay. Okay. You going Canada? Two, one. Canada. Ireland. Did you say two countries? We started to say Canada and then he changed it. Canada. Ireland. Okay would you like to--. I'm going with Ireland. Ireland. They're from. Canada. Yeah, it's the, it's not, uh, cinnamon. It's cinnamon bun. Cinnamon bun? Yeah. Oh, they don't have Cinnabon in Canada. I picked it out.

I was right about everything except the stuff that matters. Mm. And then you were right about the other flavors, except for the one that you said was floral is. actually blueberry raspberry. Oh, really? Yeah. And then you have cheese, and then you. have matcha. From China. Oh yeah. Look at that. Okay. For the final round, we have some snack cakes that are all--. Don't tell us from where they're from, because I've. done the math on this and I don't think Link can win.

Really? And I think, but I would like to give him an opportunity to win. Okay, and so--. Do you think he's gonna care? I think if Link can say where the three are from. which you've been telling us, be right about what--. She hasn't, isn't. Be right about which one is not from that country, and then guess the country that it is from. Be right on all three counts. You win the whole game. Why don't I just diffuse a bomb while I'm at it? I mean, statistically speaking, there's a good.

chance that you can get this if you just try. You know what I wanna say? What? I hate you. That's not, that's not what I was gonna say until. you said what I could tell by the look at you. I, you were like, please say, I was hoping I. you'd say I hate you. Please say I hate you. What are you gonna say? I hate you. Oh, okay. These are beautiful. Look at this. It is a, whatever land three out four of these are from is. a land full of little finger parties and I wanna have a. finger party in this land.

It's like half a cookie. Yeah, where's that on the top of the cookie? And look at the nice little, uh, thing in the. middle, in the country. This is from, this is how they teach young. people about periods. Why don't we see the lesson from you? Ooh, coconut. Yeah. I didn't think you'd like that. Everything individually is probably good, but, oh, this is a sandwich. I was taking it apart. It's a watermelon bread. Isn't that crazy sandwich? I mean, that is.

It's beautiful and it's watermelon flavored. No, it's not. Take a bite of that bread. That's the craziest thing I've ever put in my mouth. Well. What? That's phenomenal. So what is the white stuff in the middle? Some sort of cream. See, I think you're gonna be able to figure out. where these are from. This is the funnest finger party. I think you're gonna be able to figure out. where these are from. I really believe it. These are these, they're crazy. These have a yellow leakage in the country. where these are from. This is how they teach young people about. Infections.

Ooh. Is it? Is it a lemon? It's like, it's like a Swiss cake roll, but. it's not a lemon and you ain't gonna like it. Mm. Swiss. Hmm. Link. I noticed something you said there without, don't. even thinking about it. You said Swiss. That's not from Switzerland. That's my impression of him. I noticed something you were saying there, right? You seem, you seem smarter for a second there. I was wondering what was going on. You said Swiss, this is big.

This is a treat. I've seen these in Amsterdam. Nothing particularly, um, unusual about that. Alright. Where, okay. What country do you think that the these three are. from that are, that are not included in this? I think that, I think this is the outlier and I think these. three are from Switzerland. And I think that this one here, this nice, delicate. Watermelon sandwich is from Amsterdam. Okay, so that's your guess.

I know that's the city. I think the outlier is this. The whole country of Holland? I think these are from Ireland, and I think these. three are from Korea. Oh yeah. I forgot that we had this. Holland's. Not one of these. You think that's Ireland? Nope. Ireland. Ireland and Switzerland. The majority of these snacks are from. Mexico. Ooh. The imposter snack is on plate number two.

Hmm. And it is the snack lab, a watermelon toast from. China. Ah, well, wow. Never seen anything like that. Come on. This is, look at it, it comes in a nice, cute little package. I can't even explain how good this is. Can I hold this up? It's so weird. Doesn't that just make you want to purchase? I, yeah, it really does. It's, it looks, it tastes like a watermelon. It's so cool. That's bread. If you see, if you saw this, you just have to purchase.

it and try it at least once. Do that. Um, if you see this, get it. The rest are the first one's. Bimbo Sponch. Sponch. Sponch. And then you have Bimbo, Choco Rolles in pineapple Flavor. Pineapple. I didn't pick up on that. Yeah, weird. The last one is Maryella Napolitano, orange cake with raisins. I didn't taste the orange either. You had a little citrusy, but I didn't see the raisins. They're slipping them by us left and right. Today I've lost.
