We Made Whole Worlds Out Of Food
We're gonna eat whole worlds made out of food. Let's talk about that. Good Mythical Morning. You ever see those videos of people making dioramas out of food, like. a herd of Dino Nuggets frolicking under a mashed potato volcano? I have, and I love to see those. So much so, that we decided to one up them with a Mythical.
Crew food diorama competition. That's right. Crew members worked with Mythical Kitcheneers and the art department. to bring these food worlds to life. And we are the judges. Let's check 'em out. Well, hello Emily. Hi. Well, what do you have here for us? Well, it's a lazy river, but I call it America floats on Dunkin'. Oh, not a sponsor. My camera, okay, yes. Um, so.
Hmm. We've got a river made of coffee, Dunkin' coffee. What, okay. And little flotation devices. So there's like, you know, when you're in the lazy river, you get the, the inner tubes. and there's little guys made of sausage. Oh. And then there's a little lifeguard right here. I see that. Originally, I wanted this to be the English channel and us have a big warship. So it could be, um, America runs on Dunkirk, but. Wow. I was told that was, um, disrespectful.
Yeah, right. Um, so. Or I'm, the reference is lost on me. I know it was a good movie. Yes, it was. And it's, did you know it's a true story? Yeah. Yeah. I heard It's based on a real event. This story is crazy. I will tell you, nothing makes me hungry like drunk sausage men drowning in lazy rivers. I know, but don't worry, they, we've got a lifeguard. We've gotta wait. Where is it? Get him. Get him. Oh God. Are you, is your, your hand is the lifeguard. Don't you die on me. Oh, is that CPR?
Yeah. In the. Oh, don't. The sugar, the sugar beach. This is his dad. No, he is dead. Don't, don't overindulge in the lazy river. Sorry, can I make an observation? What's up? Uh, first of all, I mean, it's beautiful. I love it. I didn't make it, just so you know. Oh, well you, it was made at your direction. Yes. This is the laziest, lazy river I've ever seen. Meaning that it is static. It doesn't move, yeah. Uh, is there, so that's part of the, the plan, it's. Well see you are the thing that makes it move.
Like what I did. Okay. Yes. Um. So you can eat the donuts or the men. I like the idea. Donuts are tasty. Of uh, I'm gonna grab a little bit of a bacon. And we tried to make it, I asked for it to be as authentic as possible, Lily and Lucas. So there is a used bandaid floating around in there somewhere, right? It is not edible. Okay. Sausage mixed with chocolate. Mm-hmm. Donuts. So, what's happening here?
Oh, this is the best part. So that's a water slide. Well, it's a syrup slide look. Bacon, bacon slide. Um, yes, so. Okay. Uh oh. Oh, it's interactive. Yes, yes, yes. There he goes. There he goes. There he goes. He's trying to go. Okay. Sausage man. He's had a lot to drink too. Yeah. Come on. Come on. Oh, he's in there. He eventually made his way into the lazy river and he did not float. Yeah. Just you understand. This is Dunkirk. Yeah, if you go into this lazy river, you are- you're gone for good.
Yeah, you're not gonna find him. I'm glad that I didn't see like a bunch of piranhas on a feeding frenzy in there. Yeah. We didn't have the budget for that yet. There is, but we got, we got bandaid, uh. You got a beautiful bridge over here? Yes. A bridge. You could jump off of it if you wanted to. You're probably not allowed to. There's no running. Alright, Emily. On the bridge, but. Emily, we've, we've seen a lot and we've heard even more. So we will take all this into account. Mm-hmm. In our final judging.
Excellent work. Okay, Lucas, you got some sort of swamp aquarium here. It's not a swamp aquarium. What it is, is a Bayou-Ti-Pho day. So I have two loves in life. One is swamps, one is pho. I didn't know you love swamps. Yeah, I love swamps. I like swamps. I spent a lot of time in swamps when I was in my early twenties and. uh, a lot of people to thank there. So what you have here, is an edible assortment of things.
And then I also want to direct attention to what's inedible and covered in airplane glue. Talking about glass or. This is not, yeah, this isn't the edible stuff, but this, which. looks pretty, pretty similar. This stuff right here. You can eat that. Yeah, it's not delicious. What is it? It's um, some kind of like reconstituted bread. It's like a sponge something? Yeah. Or a sponge. Oh, it's green bread. I was wondering why it smelled like airplane glue. Oh yeah. That's not pho. No, that's the airplane glue on the front. Okay.
Um, can I, can I keep going? Please do. Yeah. Uh, okay, so, sorry. I just love it so much. So Sriracha dock noodles or sra, sriracha noodle docks, noodle dock. Sriracha. Noodle docks. Sriracha noodle docks are a featured. thing. What, what am I calling these? Yeah, featured things. Uh, we have another kind of noodle, the glass noodle trees. You can enjoy these with chopsticks if you want to. Oh, yes, yes, of course. Um, for protein, we have alligator.
So these are made entirely of meat. I told Lily. What kind. I really wanted, gimme a second. I told Lily that I really wanted to, to eat a, an alligator. Um, but you know. You might. Oh, no, no, please, that's the point. Just remember when we judge this, I'll realize that it was intact at one point. It was. Yeah, dip the noodles. Oh, sure. Yeah. Oh look. That's gone. There is, it's straight meat. It's a meatball. It's just straight meat.
You want the back? Yeah, bite it. It is actually really nice. Is it alligator? It's really nice. Yeah. Okay. There's another one here. Oh, I'm touch it. Sorry. You didn't h you didn't hold it, uh, tight enough. Um, I'll eat a frog. No, no. Wait, I have a joke about that. So the, um, did you want to eat this other one before I get into that one? Uh, I kind of want to leave that one. What I'm gonna do is I'm, these are, I'm gonna bite this one. Yeah. Oh God. It now has hair on it. What? It was on the floor. Yeah. I got it off the floor. Well, you fed it to me.
I was just holding it up so you could see it. Oh. I didn't think you were gonna bite it either. Oh, well. Release him back into his environment. That's not the worst thing that's in there. He'll survive. All right. Um, a couple of human bites aren't gonna kill him. Just gotta run through the, the frog joke. Okay. Yeah, yeah. I want to hear it. This one, I wanna hear it, um. These aren't frogs. These are pho-rogs. Oh, snap. pho-rogs. Pho. Oh, okay. Oh, I got some plants. We're not good, we're not good with, um.
Oh, and then I have an interactive moment to show you. Okay. Oh look. I made a boat. He's got a boat. But it's a spoon for ladling out, you know, conceptually the swamp. And then it comes with a little, a little fishing day. Hey, hey Link, why don't you, why don't you come fishing with me, bud. There you go. Okay, dad. Pull that up, buddy. That's, that's kind of irresistible. Yeah. You got, oh, you got it. Wait, I think I, I think I'm. These moments are precious, buddy. I think I've caught something. Oh, you got it. Oh. Oh, look at that. Oh, it's an, an edible shrimp.
You love shrimp? I do like shrimp. Yeah. High in cholesterol though. Okay. So is the rest of this. Yeah, so is it the rest of it? Good. I love what you've done here. Wow. I think there's a lot of great concepts. Pho-rog. I'm gonna take that with me to my grave. To the bank. Uh, I will say that I don't know what this says about your creation here. I wanted to eat pho. Mm-hmm. Potentially. Yeah. This weekend, and now that I see that, it kind of just looks. like dirty river water, right?
Yep. You stare at 10 gallons of anything and you're not really gonna wanna. consume it on a individual level. It's not stopping Link. He's been going at it. Continuing to dip into it. How many times did I say that's mostly airplane glue. Right, yeah, yeah. It's crazy to me that you're trying it again and again. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. It's just, yeah. This is fun. Hello, KG. Is this a day at the beach? No, it's the Castle Made of Bland, or as others call it, Bland Castle.
Am I right everybody? Am I right? You're talking to us. Yep. You're not, you're not trying to get applause. From everybody, you're everybody. You're everybody. Thank you. Okay. So, uh, okay, give us your inspiration for this. So, the reason I wanted to make this is because I feel like most people. can eat this, mostly everyone that has like a severe allergy except gluten. Okay. If you have tummy problems, and also if you're Link.
So people can eat this. Oh, so this is for like toddlers? Yes, yes, yes, yes. Um, and also the inspiration of the color scheme was based off the Pantone. color of the year, cloud dancer. Oh yeah, I saw that. Or as other people call it, white. Yeah. Right. Yes, yes, yes, yes. Yeah. Yeah. Like, yeah. I kind of feel right at home here. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Okay, so what we have here is. What are are energies? No, I just like showing them my skin color related. Right, compare. Related to this. Hey. Is it taters? Yes, it's, it's, no, it's masa. It's masa, and then we have breadcrumbs. And then around here is mashed potatoes.
Oh. And the base is rice. And then we have little people in the front made of pasta. And then the flag's made of Triscuits. Pasta people. And then my favorite part is the drawbridge. And it functions. No, it doesn't. So pull the string for me. Oh, that's pretty cool. No one's getting in here to taste nothing. Oh. Oh, nothing. Okay. Well, it's, uh, I think the bridge has been pudding-ed a little bit.
Say it's a user error, um. And then how do we get it to go? Oh, um. You just, you just. And now it's in the moat. The moat is made of mayo, if you guys wanna try it. Oh, it's, I thought it was pudding. No, it's mayo, you can try it. It's mayo. Right. It's all right. It's just mayo. Uh, I think I'm just gonna get, I think I'm gonna just try a corner of mashed potatoes. Yeah, go for it. Which one do you, what looks. This corner? Most appetizing. Want this? Yeah, the pointy one. Okay. Mm-hmm, that was for you. Oh, you're gonna, okay. No hands? Yep. No hands with it. Why is it so cold? Oh.
You don't like cold mashed potatoes. Right, right, right. It's like leftovers. I guess I'll do a little, little, little masa bite. Nice. Also, what I like with food is that you can play with it, you can touch it. Like if you're angry, just being overstimulated. So you guys wanna. Look, look here. Here comes a. What? Here comes a meteor. No, no, no, no. Come on. Like that. Go ahead, no, do it. Nope. Please don't. I'll go with you. Whoa. What is happening right here.
Take that one. I don't, no, I don't wanna destroy this beautiful creation. I don't know what's happening. It's your emotions, it was made to help feel your emotions. You don't wanna play with food, go ahead. I'm happy. It's a rage castle. Yeah. You know how angry I always am. Well, now I don't remember what it looks like, KG. It was a sand castle. Sand castle, and this is a triscuit with glue on the back. It's edible. Really? I don't know if it's glue, but it's edible. I mean, I will say I did. Oh, that's candy. I will say that I love what you've done here, but um, I definitely, don't.
think you have a chance of winning. Well, you didn't. I just want, I just wanna be honest with you. You didn't try punching it, that made it look a little better, right? Yep. Like you had fun. I totally disagree with him. Just go. And, and what is this made out of. Like, what are you angry at? Like, what are you, like, what are you so angry at right now? Just, you know what I, I, I don't, I don't harbor a lot of anger. Okay, um. Why would you think that? Uh. What is this made of? I like it. You can be angry at me. Bread crumbs. Yeah, pretend Link just smacked you in the face right now. Oh dude, you did, you literally broke the whole, the whole table.
I told you I didn't want to do it. No, it's great. That's what it was made for. I didn't wanna do it. I didn't wanna hit it. No, it's fine. All right. Just hold, alright. I didn't wanna mess with it all. This is so beautiful. Move it to the judging place before it falls. Mikayla, is this a cotton candy tree? Yes, it is also called Sweet Enlightenment. Why? Because it's sweet and I am enlightened.
Okay. You are enlightened. Yes. So this is a zen garden. Um, it's a tree. Oh. Foliage, don't touch that gap. I'll get to it. Okay. Yeah. When I get there. He's gonna ruin it. Gotcha. You just gonna mess it up. Gotcha. Um, it's a tree foliage covered in cotton candy, and it's also. made out of powdered sugar. So it's powdered sugar all throughout the branches. What's, oh, what's the trunk? Uh, also sugar. Because the fun thing about sugar is you could just shape. it up as much as you need to. And you did. Mold it. I see that. And I did, I was so creative.
Um, and then the garden part, 'cause you know, zen gardens are sand. Mm-hmm. Is cherry and raz apple flavored fun dip. This is absolutely beautiful. Thank you so much. For. Thank you. Like a tween girl. Uh. Yeah. We can embrace our inner tween girl. You can. Yeah. You have been called baby girl. Everyone's got one. That's on the internet that I seen. Where are the little, where are the little men? Where is there, there's not a little man. There's no man, there's no men involved 'cause it's so sweet. Okay. It's so sweet. It does feel.
Can I. Men are not sweet inherently. It feels at once a little bit more elevated because it doesn't have. like the little men and stuff. Right. But also maybe youthful, like the, for the tween girls. It is, it's, it's for the girls, it's for the girlies. These are candy rocks. And this is a fun dip rake also made outta sugar. Like it's glued together with sugar as well. And what about the glue? Is that. Wonderful. Sugar. The sugar glue. It's sugar glue. Stop asking. You know the answer. Okay. So let. It's gonna be sugar. Now, you can, you can rake if you want to.
Be nice. Be kind. It seems like you're the one who needs zen. I should. I actually made this because I deal with you so much. Relax. Yeah. Hey, relax. It's dealing with you. Look at. What? Look at that. Look at that. Ooh, it's so smooth. Okay. You going to the. And if I lick it. You're not supposed to scratch the bottom. Yeah. All right. Okay. So you lick this? Yeah. You, you rank it and now it's inedible. You get zen. To anybody else. Then you pass it to the next person at the party. Yep. Oh.
He comes along. That's good. Are y'all both gonna lick it like that? And then he comes in. That's the, that's the operative question. And then he licks the other side. Oh, oh. And then he comes in. Y'all kissed, they kissed. No, we didn't. And then you hand it off. They tongue kissed. And you hand it off. These little candy rocks too, try a candy rock, try the cotton candy. The cotton candy is great. I'm gonna eat a, I'm gonna break a little twig off of this, of your tree here. I really enjoy the scaling. Don't, don't do that. Okay.
Do that, don't do that. Don't do that. It's a wire. There's a wire in there. There, there. That's my sanity actually. And you knew, and you knew that. Yeah. You knew, 'cause when you were telling. I was just being nice. You were telling 'em how to make this, you were like put wires in it. Mm-hmm. Except for the color of it. It kind of is the most adult one. That's what I was saying. Right, because adults really, really need emotional. It's not. Regulation. It's not, it's not asking to be like, oh, it's got a lazy river. Or it's got little people or a mote. It's more like, it's a beautiful tree and a zen garden. Mm-hmm.
That's all you need. It's interactive. It's not trying too hard. Yeah. But it's certainly trying harder than the last one we saw. What do you mean. The last one didn't even have colors. Exactly. That's so boring. I think we're agreeing right now. Trying hard in a good way. I'm trying hard in a good, okay, I'll take that. Yeah. You're putting forth effort. Uhhuh as I so often do. Okay, well let's figure out who's the winner. Each and every one of you did amazing jobs, different levels of. amazing, but, we do appreciate all of the work that has been done.
In fact, if you want to experience that process, you can watch that. on the latest episode of Behind The Mythicality, which comes out every. week over on the Mythical Society. Now, we're going to start with our fourth place, which yes, is our loser. Uh, this person will be asked to, uh, leave the building, um, at the. close of this episode immediately.
Uh, again, you put forth effort, but I think what you did to your. creation was an indication of what we were all feeling about it. KG. Mm-hmm. Dang it. Yes. Castles made of bland, uh, is fourth place. I think you made that clear. Really good pun though. Which is last place. Coming in at second runner up, which is third place, I think. Yeah.
Mm-hmm. This particular artist did an amazingly beautiful job, but, the level of specific. amazingness didn't quite get there. Not enough was thrown at it for us to catch the vibe. Mikayla. Elaborate. At the end of the day, you have a cotton candy tree with some sand. Not enough to it, is what I'm trying to say.
Not. The tree, the tree. You can take it home with you. You do not have to leave immediately like someone else. When I watch shows that we're like emulating, there's not an argument. You just kind of weep and be quiet about it. I like feedback, unfortunately. Should've had the little guys. You could, you could have done a lot more. There's no necessary guys. You didn't do enough. And now that leaves our top two contenders over here. Now there's a lot to celebrate here, Emily, uh, with your, um, what do you call it?
America Floats on Dunkin'. Yes. We really appreciate the ingenuity, we appreciate the lazy river. And we actually noted in our discussions, the two of us had discussions, uh, at. how practical of a party platter this is. People could just come up and take a donut and walk away. They know how to interact with it, and that means a lot. It's really wonderful. Lucas. Yeah. We really appreciate how heavy yours is.
Thanks. That means a lot. Yeah. And we really feel a rush to complete this episode before it collapses and spills pho. into three surrounding blocks of Burbank. Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm. Okay. Lots of details, um. It's gonna take a while. Very tasty alligator. Things I tasted, tasted decent. Very unexpectedly tasty. At the same time, these aren't perfect. Okay. Your lazy river, as we said, is incredibly lazy, if not stagnant.
On brand. Uh, at the end of the day. And your swamp is kind of un appetizing. Right, and you could just say that, hey, this is really just donuts on top of coffee. And you could just say that this looks like something that a. janitor would dip his mop into. Yeah. Our hands are getting sweaty, but we can only have one winner. Can you tell us what it is? Yes. There's only one. There's only one of these. Say that again, say that again. There's only one of these. Oh my God.
That has the pho-rog. Congratulations Lucas. You win a seat at the head of the table. Wow. Okay, this is great. Um, I'd like to thank. No speeches. Okay. Thank you for commenting and sharing this video. You know what time it is. I'm Jedidiah. And I'm Lily. We're here with ravioli Rhett and Link. And it's time to spin the Wheel of Mythicality.
What did they say that was made out of? Ravioli? Ravioli. It's just pasta, dude. That's impressive. Hey, let's be impressive right now. Okay. Let's think of a number. Yep. Between 5 and 15. Okay. Three. Two. One. 11. 11. Ah, I don't know. I don't know what happens. Click the top link to watch us test edible spoons in Good Mythical More.
