Vandalizing the Mona Lisa
All right, it's time to cut each other's. hair. I'm ready. I'm Martin from. Belfast, Northern Ireland. Good mythical. morning. [Music]. Good mythical morning. You know what day. it is? It's Thursday. And Thursday.
means mail. This episode is brought to you by SMU, makers of amazing musical applications. for your smart device, including sing. with an exclamation point. You have one. week to participate in singing our. squirrel write song. Amaze us people and. win amazing stuff. That's just how it. goes. Please participate. And before we.
get into opening up the mail, uh we do. want to ask you to go over and watch the. new video on our main channel, Spot the. Differences. Now, maybe you've already. watched it, but you know what? We we. don't always say this, but we really. need you guys to actually the mythical. beast to watch it and to share it. because YouTube has changed a lot. You. may have noticed this over the past. year. Lots of things have changed. And. one of the things that we have found is. that it is more important than ever that. people like you, the mythical beast, help our videos get out there to your.
family and friends. So that includes. putting on Facebook, putting on Twitter, making a sign and going out on a street. corner and doing like this dressing like. a Statue of Liberty. Yeah. Either that. or like a chicken or or like it could. say free car wash and then below it it. could say watch this video. And I was. just joking about the car wash. I. wasn't. Well, cuz I wasn't making the. joke. I was just listening to you. No, I'm suggesting that I don't think you.
were tracking with me. Okay. As long as. they were, we're okay. You're a crucial. component to the success of our. entertainment. excursions. So, uh, continue to share. Appreciate. We have a PO box. Yeah. Thank you to all all of you who send us. stuff. And I want I want to let you. know, you may not know this, but we. don't talk about everything that we. receive. So, just because we don't talk. about it doesn't mean we didn't receive. your mail, but we don't so much time. We. do receive everything that we talk. about. We smell all of it. We receive We. don't open all of it, but we definitely.
smells like the Northwest. We receive. everything that we talk about. Yeah. Think about it. Yep, we do. Uh, this. one's I'm going to get right into it, Lane, because this one's disturbs me a. little bit. Okay, start with the. disturbing. Uh, this is from Kylie. She's in Washington. She says, "Hello. This may seem odd, but here is my iPod. for the time capsule. As you can see, Link, it is a working iPod. I thoroughly. investigated it. We didn't know if it. worked, so I plugged it in. And after. about 8 minutes, lo and behold, she.
fires up. And I mean, we got music on. here. There's music. There's um email. pictures. Yeah. What What's up with. that? You maybe you should have wiped it. clean before you sent it to I mean, there's nothing on there. Not not that. we've looked. We There's nothing on. there that's like you shouldn't have. sent to us. Well, but we haven't looked. She thought this would be good for the. time capsule because it would remind the. aliens of where we were at in like a. technological sense. And they could also. like gain insight into what her life was.
like in 2011. My vote. I think by. October 2011, I would I just have a. hunch. I I haven't looked at anything on. the iPod. By October 2011, she stopped. using it. Yep. Like taking photos. inferring that writing notes to herself. You're inferring that from the scratch. patterns. Yes, only that. I'm not It see. It didn't seem appropriate to look look. into the iPod. Here's my vote, Kylie. Uh. I think we should send this back to you. You're 14. You're a minor. Uh maybe you. weren't in your right mind. And we.
shouldn't have her iPod. Well, I mean, neither should the aliens. It It has. games on it. I mean, we can just play. Take the music and the games off of it. and then send it back to her. No, take. the personal stuff off of it and keep. it. Really? Yeah. I mean, she wanted us. to have it and stuff and But what if her. parents think about this? Well, I'm not. going to call them and find out. Let's. just move on. It's 5:00 p.m. December. 31st according to this iPod, which is. also weird. Yeah, it's also weird. Has.
to throw the aliens off. Uh, dear, speaking of aliens, dear Rhett and Link, this UFO operator's license that I sent. you, here it is right here. Careful. I. ripped it off. Is proof that we have. been visited by beans of the future. This is proof that we've been visited. cuz they left their UFO operator's. license. Please put it in the mythical. time capsule so you can possibly return. it to the rightful owner, a 12-year-old. mythical beast, Katrina Stratman from. Beaverdam, Wisconsin. Okay, Katrina. Um,
that that'll fit in the time capsule. Area 51 permit. Yes, this will go in the. time capsule. What? Why is it that all. of a sudden our time capsule is about. aliens discovering it? How do we know. that when we bury it, it's only going to. be discovered by aliens? We don't know that. How do we know. aliens exist? We're just Well, we're. hoping hoping so. I mean, it could be. like a park ranger finds it, but that's. no fun. You know what is this? I'd. rather be an alien. Dear Rhett and Link, we don't get to make that choice, right?
We can hope is what I'm saying. Dear Ret. Link, you probably thought this letter. was for you. Nope. It's for Lock and. Shep. Good job on your show, guys. That's from Chuck Ta. Chuck Ta sent a. letter just to my boys. I'm going to. take that and I'm going to give sent you. a letter. Yeah. Well, he sent my boys. Does he send lots of letters? I wonder. Or is, you know, is he still doing that? Dear Retin Link, my name is Emily. Here's a here's a photo of her. Emily. the Elgreindor. and I'm from Warimu in the Blue.
Mountains of Australia. That sounds like. a magical place. I have included for the. mythical time capsule the lock locker in. which you store a sample of rats up here. and links down here for discovery in the. future by gray or bald use. See, she. thinks we may dig up the time capsule. which kind of makes sense cuz that's. probably what's going to happen. or a. more intelligent species who will be. able to grow copies of you from your. hair DNA when you are long gone. So, back to the I guess alien thing.
Included are two little rope ties to. hold the locks after you take the snip. before. before putting them in the locker. Enjoy. Now, we This is the This is not. the first time we've cut each other's. hair on on Good. We got a lot back here. Let me just grab a little bit. I mean, do you want I can take I can take it all. the way down so you got really short. hair. So, I can do like half so it kind. of blends in. Just do half, please. Hold on. Hold on. Hold on. You're still. cutting. It didn't really hurt at all.
There's not nerves in your hair. What's. up, man? I didn't tell you that. You got. to be careful with mine. I don't have as. much to go around. Definitely don't do. right. So, I cut it really short. Kind. of like don't little bit right in there. I don't know what to do here. Well, you. can create a really awkward situation. for me if you're not careful. Look at. that. Got some hairs there. And we're. going to put them in this thing. Just. set it on there for right now. Yeah, it's difficult to do. Well, you put it. on my If they get mixed up and then then. they try to build a person and then they. put their hairs together. It's going to. make like a hybrid of me and you be.
disappointed. It's like when a when a a. woman has a baby that's um a different. race than the father. And uh this is. going to be the this would be the last. thing that we talk about here. Um. uh dear Rhett and Link is seen in any. form of media. The past has always been. shown with deep lush green forest. whereas the future is foreseen full of. skyscrapers, roadways completely devoid. of all foliage. I hope my sc my small. contribution can bring back what may be. lost. Um she actually looked into making.
sure that she can mail these to. California. She says it's legal. This is. from Crystal. She's got cucumber seeds, uh carrot seeds, and then some kind of. flour, the ankoli flour. Who knew that. carrots came in seeds? Uh, me. All right, here we go, people. As you. know, it's time for another episode of. Time Rangers Burst. Time. Rangers. Hey, man. Hey. What you doing? I'm just.
stroking my mustache with my hand. Okay. Oh, yeah. Movember. Yeah. Yeah. Hey, you. know, ever since we got our time. traveling gazebo back, I've been wanting. to get in it. Okay. It's over there. Over there? Yeah. Let's go check it out. Okay. And listen, my life sucks without. miniature horses. So, I want to go back. and fix that. That should be our mission. today. Uh, listen. No, I've got some. thoughts about this. I don't think we. should be meddling in time. We've. screwed up enough things as it is. If we. go back and try to fix it, we may screw. up more. So, let's just go back and. observe. You know, time travel for.
entertainment purposes only. Okay, that's fine. Where you want to go? Well, I've always wanted to go back to the. moment where the greatest painting in. the history of the world was created. Ah, yeah. The first Thomas Concincaid. No, I mean Da Vinci. Ah, you know, the. Mona Lisa. Yes, exactly. There's all. this controversy surrounding it, you. know. Is it a picture of him as a woman? Is it his mother or a lover? You know. Okay. Well, let's go back. 3 2 Hold on. No, you you got to know when to think. of. Yeah, right. 1503 Florence, Italy.
Okay. Think of that. Three, two, one. Wow. Yep. This is it. 1503 Florence, Italy. Look over there. Over there. Yeah, over there. There's a mailbox that. says Da Vinci on it. Okay. Yep. Well, good chance that's his. Let's go. Knock on the door. Bonj. U. Hello, Mr. Da Vinci. We are. tour. We're part of a tourist. We're. like community college art students.
This is a research project from school. And can we just come in and take a look. around? We're big fans of your work. Come inside. Look around. I'll be. drawing in the corner. Oh, wow. Okay, great. That was easy. Let's go inside. [Music]. Wow. Looks like he's inventing lots of. stuff. This guy is such a genius. Sketching things and Oh, look over. there. Over there? Yeah, right over. there. Yeah, it's a painting. I think. it's the one we're looking for. Let's go. get a closer look. Okay, [Music]. where is it?
right behind you. Oh. Oh, wow. The Mona. Lisa. She looks like it's just been The. paint is still wet, Link. Yeah, and. she's beautiful. Well, actually, she's a. little homely. Hey, you look around. You. tell me if uh Da Vinci's coming. Okay. Okay. Got a little something up my. sleeve. Huh? What do you got to do? Just. wait. What? Wait. What? What? What did you do? I put a mustache on Mona Lisa. Why would.
you do that? Movember. Okay, here comes. Da Vinci. What have you done? You. defaced my masterpiece. No, I didn't. deface it. I just put a mustache on it. Movember. Uh, yeah. It's for prostate. cancer awareness. Yeah. I'm going to. teach you a lesson with my newest. invention. Oh my goodness. It looks like. some sort of stun gun stun cane thingy. He invented that, too. I can't feel my. face. Let's get her back to the gazebo.
Okay. Well, boy, that series is just. keeps going, doesn't it? It just keeps. it just It just keeps happening. All. right. Nothing we can do about it at. this point. If we didn't say it, if we. didn't make ourselves clear enough at. the beginning, you're a crucial part of. entertainment. Remember to share our. videos. Uh, but don't click away yet because we. haven't ended the show. Here we go.
Rhett gets shortterm memory loss. All. right. Well, this series, man, the. series keeps going and going. Let's. Let's spin the wheel. How did What? How did How did I just. spun the wheel so uh I don't need to. spin it again. And uh just act like you. have short-term memory loss. All right. You ready to get your. haircut? No. No. You've already done that. Um and.
