Too Dangerous For The Studio (Marathon)

It's a going outside marathon. Let's talk about that. Good Mythical Marathon. But before we put on our marathon shoes, we want to let you know that we're going to be back. to our regular schedule. starting this coming Monday. That's right. Next week. That's right. It's the new season of 28. The new season of 28.

is going to be a big one. 20... - We promise... - If you liked 24. You’re gonna love 28. We promise that we humans are. Yes we are. The premiere episode of season. 28 is Monday. Yep. Is what he was trying to say. And listen, hey, We are bringing back. a very special sort of episode. that people have been begging for for a while now. And we got a bunch of other exciting new things. that we are especially excited about. For you to see it all start on Monday. Yeah. Season of 28. Yeah.

Right? The season of 28. What would you do without me? How many times can I say it. before you figure out what you're going to say next? All right. I know what I'm going to say now. Okay. It's comfortable. behind this desk. Okay. We're familiar with it. We know how it feels. But occasionally we want to shake things up. We want to get out of our comfort zone. We want to get out into. the sun and squint. and have to do things involving all types. of elements. In spaces, sometimes larger,

we have an idea. that just doesn't work in here. Sometimes we, in fact, always. when we have an idea, the first thing to consider is can we do it. inside the studio? And then sometimes we say, no, we can't do that outside. We can't do that inside. We have to do that outside. And then the question is, are we going to do it? And then if we decide. that we have to do it. and it has to be outside, we get an outside episode. Whoa. That's how it works. And so we want to show you.

some of our favorite. outdoor episodes. in a little marathon. All right. What are we starting off with? Well, we're. starting off with a classic Will It? that required us. to step out into the rain. And, by rain, you mean. not exactly rain. Yeah. This is Will It Umbrella? from February 1st, 2022. Today. we ask the age old question.

Will It Umbrella? Let's talk about that. Good Mythical Morning. This is going to be a fun one. They’re all fun ones. They’re all fun ones. But in the long history of Will Its?, there's. been a few notable times. where we veered off. the food path into. outright engineering. And then you gotta. You need some wings.

Oh, every time I sit down, it gets a little soft, Will it shoe? Will it hair gel? - Will it chair? - A little more dangerous. and potentially messy than just a. will it with food. Yeah, it's a full body. experience. Yes. Today we gave the kitcheneers a break. and we turned to Mike Paisley of the art. department to keep us dry and looking fly. And speaking of the art department, we realize Paisley. needs a nickname because we got mad dog Lucas. We got Miss Wizard Caitlin, but nothing for Mike Paisley. So we're looking to you,

the mythical beast, to come up with a. give us your best ideas using the hashtag moniker for Mike. And if I may make a suggestion, you may make a suggestion. for Moniker for Mike, My dad, Magic Paisley. I think I got that from, I think that came from a mythical beast, actually. You know. I feel like you're really swinging the vote. now that you've... Vote for whatever. you want, but... - Let's see if we can... - Want a little dad magic. you know, just be open to the possibilities. Umbrellas. Or as we call them,

umbrellas, have gone. almost completely unchanged since their invention. in 1000 BC. So we felt it was time. for him to get an upgrade. So will this makeover end. in victory or soggy shambles? Probably a combination of both. It's time for will. it umbrella? Like any will it, success is not guaranteed. So we will be testing these. hopeful umbrellas in our parking lot. We already had one office flood. We do not need another. So to qualify as an umbrella,

it must have a metal skeleton. That's not a scary thing. That just means like a frame, an opening slash closing. mechanism of some kind. And of course it must protect us from the rain. Emphasis on protect us. from the rain. Now, the answer is that I hear. rain on my window. I want to curl up like a pig in a blanket. But if we got to go out in it, the least you can do for. comfort is grab an umbrella. and a cup of coffee. But what if you could just make that one grab?

Oh, presenting the café. con brella. It's an umbrella. that makes coffee when it rains. Oh my goodness. Hopefully. Oh, okay. Yeah, it collects the rain. Mike. Soon to be Moniker Paisley. What did you do? For this umbrella. We just took a regular. umbrella apart. and made a new umbrella. But inside of it, we have a cold brew.

coffee filter. That's a coffee filter. liner on the whole thing and the whole thing. And then this is a straw. Yeah. So you get nice rich brew, you get a nice wide brew. Because I know that's a thing in coffee. Yes, you can make it to flavor. So you just, you know, you have a friend or you just... I have a friend. You do? All right. The people of Seattle are gonna freak. when they hear about this. Okay, let's go test it. Of course, the. best place to test. an umbrella is in a place where it never rains.

Southern California, good old Burbank. All right, I'm gonna open her back. up, and then we're gonna... I can go full dump. Full dump. Right there in the middle. Full dump. All right, so we got our grounds, and, boy, do they smell like great coffees. Now you can actually make it. rain on command. in Southern California if you pray directly. to the ghost of Bob Hope. So. Oh, ghost of Bob Hope, please make it rain.

Please. Oh, see, it's. raining in Burbank, right? Thank you, Bob Hope. Right here on us. Is it collecting in there? I can, I can, I can see it. I can feel it. Well I, I'm staying. pretty dry so. That's working. Yeah. Okay. It's going to take it a little while. This is like the slowest. gentlest of pour overs. Bob was in in a very he was in a team. giving him a mooch. Is it coming through. Yeah. He's got. Oh yeah. Oh yeah. It's collecting.

Oh look at that. Yeah. Oh yeah. It's coming through. I mean and you want it. to actually filter through. Oh here it comes. Oh here it goes. Suck on it. There's. straight up coffee grounds in there. I can see him. Yeah. You get some. I mean pretty weak. Excuse. that some weak cold brew is pretty weak. But if you, it's a constant stream. I mean once the coffee starts. coming it's just like a coffee fountain. It just.

oh we're staying dry. and we're drinking. crappy coffee. This is the life, man. It’s coming up again. I love California, man. Yeah? Yeah, man. It has to be weak coffee, man. Oh. Oh, there you go. And and we could add creamer if we wanted to. Yeah. It's just all you need is just to, you know, go on top. Oh, I'm done with this coffee, Bob. Hope. Make it stop.

All right, so coffee, will it umbrella? Yes. Well, we're still pretty dry. I'm back's a little wet, but. I got a little elbow wet-eage. but not too bad at all. Now, we're still at the. awkward stage in life where we're both too. old and too young to wear a diaper. You know, it kind of that in between, but can we at least have it be our umbrella? Yeah, well, it's absorbance. Keep us nice and dry. Oh gosh. It's the pamperella. This thing is heavy. This is kind of that old school kind of... Parasol.

Yeah, exactly. Is that what you were going for? Yeah. Miss Wizard and I went on. a little journey of the best way to make a diaper umbrella. We did some testing, and this is what we came up with. It's got kind of nice. southernly... You know, maybe, I'd say, gentlemen, in this case. Okay, well, then we would definitely. call this one an umbrella. And not an umbrella. This one doesn't open. And close is a nice way. You're going to see why. A little while. All right, let's take it out there. It's very heavy, is it not?

And it's only going to get heavier. I know that's what is a diapers. because this is just diaper on diaper. The question is how long. before the rain just brings it down. upon us? Like what... What's the length of time we need to test the umbrealla? I think both of us are gonna be holding it up. pretty soon, but okay. All right, Bob Hope, do your thing. Okay. Completely dry. And you don't favor yourself.

Put it right up the middle. Now. Completely dry. I'm bigger. Getting some weight, some extra weight. We probably added. We probably added a pound or so. Nothing that I can't deal with. When that rain is going. to be cold, if it comes through, we have absolutely no. drippings, no leakage. Thus far we have got. absolutely nothing coming through. I'm feeling pretty good. all of a sudden. Okay, the rain has picked up a little bit. We're, Okay.

I mean... Is it getting heavy? Oh, yeah. I mean, like, if I would just drive holding. this, like, a normal umbrella, it would just like one hand. That's tough. That's a bicep workout. Let me let me try it. Oh, wow. You were. You were ready for that. - You were ready. - It really is. But still we've got no penetration. No, we've still got a complete. seal here. Just two guys. holding one umbrella. Not going anywhere.

Okay. Hold on. I'm going to give you a give all the way to the user. so you can see how hard it is now. Oh, wow. I mean, this thing is. at least quadrupled in weight. I mean, the skeleton is holding. Whoa whoa. whoa whoa whoa whoa whoa. Careful. Oh, I just saw a bit of sweat come down your brow. Yeah. You nervous? That's the rain thing I think we got. I think some rain came through, but why do you keep pulling it toward you? I just. Oh, come on, we got a leak. We got a little bit of a leak. Is the whole thing going to just snap.

and pop me in the head? I feel like I should get a little bit lower. than need to hit you in your head. I mean, how long you need it? How long does an umbrella need. to function to be a certified umbrella? Think about a reporter. at reporting about the rain. of this in a hurricane. I'm out here in Burbank and believe it or not, it is raining in one spot. and it will not stop. I am going to stay here. and report. until it stops raining, but no worries. because I have an umbrella made of diapers. We're still here in the rainy.

spot in Burbank, reporting live. and inexplicably, it is still raining here. And our diaper. umbrella is keeping us. reasonably dry. I'd say it weighs 43 pounds. It's raining a lot, but are we still good? Oh, yeah, we're still good. We're so good. We're still good. We’re still good. We are no longer reporters. Gotta hold that umbrella. We're just good ol boys in the parking lot.

Can we get it up a little bit higher? Okay. Go. It's so heavy. You gotta. I mean, this is a two man job. This is a four hander. At this point, My back is. Starting to get wet, but. we're still good. Let me see if I can walk a little bit with it. You're not walking away, but just. Let's just walk out and just what? Just walk around in a circle here.

Okay. Yeah. Still functional. Maybe. Maybe clockwise. Mommy, what's. wrong with those two men? We're. We're very much. fighting with each other, pulling this thing. Oh, really? Us? Because. Because you want it centered on over you. I want to centered over me. One control freak and one. best friend of a control freak. That's not gonna go well. You’re pulling hard. Like if I let go, look at you.

You're taking the umbrella. Oh, man. This is not the middle. This is the middle. No, it's not now. My whole shoulder is out. My shoulder was out. My whole shoulder is out. We're still good. I think we're. finding out why this thing. is engineered to not close. Because with the weight that I'm holding right now, it would just be closing it. It would totally collapse on us. I think we'd be gone forever. I'm nervous the whole time that it is going. to just completely close. on us, even regardless of the fact. that it's been locked in place. It's heavy as all get out, but it is not failing.

We are indeed still good. We've been out here. for like ten minutes. and I'm definitely. getting an arm workout, but my head is completely dry. It is a triple in weight, but yeah, we're dry. It's functioning as an umbrella. So diapers, will it umbrella? Yes. Okay, so we were fighting over that umbrella. But I will take this opportunity to point out. that my back is completely soaked. all the way to the back. To the bottom. Oh. Mine is too.

See? Sorry. All right, y'all, we have. got some exciting news. Trevor, from. the Mythical Kitchen. has his own podcast. Is Trevor Talks Too Much. It's not a dig. Well, it is a dig, but it is the name of the podcast. Trevor talks too much. and is launched today. Yes. Some of you are familiar with the infamous. Trevor Holiday party story. That went on for, we lost count for how long it went on. We love him, but he talks too much,

so we decided that Trevor needs an outlet. where he could talk as much as he wants. But the thing is, he needs somebody to talk to. So each week, we've tasked Trevor. to invite a new guest on the podcast to talk to, with the goal being, is this somebody Trevor. can add to his talk. to list of contacts, or will he talk too much. and push the guest away forever? Well check out the first episode today. Wherever you get your podcast. Trevor talks too much. All right, unless you're a worm on a sidewalk, no one actually wants to be outside in the rain. But maybe a happy cloud.

Hued in the colors. of sunset can make it. a happy experience. Introducing the pink. Sugarella. Look at this. Can you get a load of that? This thing is made. entirely. of cotton candy, but again, it's got the frame. and just cotton candy. It smells great. This is definitely gonna work. What did you do? We made a bunch of cotton candy. and we put it on the umbrella.

Well, you did a good job. I mean, look, look, look at the top of this thing. Look at that, look at that. Look at that cotton candy nipple. Wait until you taste it. Oh, we're not going to taste. It’s gonna block all the water. to keep us dry. Something tells me that Randy is not going. to come anywhere near. this rain cloud. This is a sacrilegious thing to do. and move up a little bit more. I mean, we got nothing to worry about. We're going to stay completely dry. Yeah, definitely. Bob Hope, pee on us.

What? It's raining. I mean, first of all, there's, like, whole holes, right? Like, I can literally stick. my whole hand through it. Starting to get some. It's it's melting. Oh, wow. Oh, gosh. This is going to be sticky. Oh, no. No. Oh, God. Oh, it tastes good. Oh. Oh it does. Oh man.

That's really sweet. Ohh that’s cold. It’s okay. We're starting... Oh. Oh okay. It's it's really going. pretty fast now. Okay. Maybe if I can, maybe I can catch some. Oh you got a whole thing. right here. We still good. Yeah. We're still good. No.

It's all gone. I think it's over. That didn't take long. All right. Cotton candy. Will it umbrella? No. Okay. I'm a little wetter. and a lot stickier. Yeah. I'm a little sugary. That entire umbrella. just basically, became part of our clothing. and hair. All right. In 1952, the nativity musical, Singin in the rain. Gene Kelly called the experience. a glorious feeling. And I'm happy again.

Yeah. It's, there's an umbrella idea. in here somewhere, so we let. Paisley figure it out. We now present the umbrelloake. Like karaoke. this thing, this is a whole karaoke machine. Oh, yeah. I mean, it's a whole entertainment package. for outdoors. Oh, there's speakers up there. Oh, there it goes. Now, if you let... - Two speakers, - If you let your hand water. down to the fabric and closure at the bottom that. Yeah. Yes.

And you can peel it back. Now you've got your, your interface. full control right to. But until you need it it's kept high and dry. Yeah. You can, you can keep it. hidden nicely away. And then you can break your left hand right. There's an on off switch if you want to kick it. on on the back right in your left hand. Yep. In the back of the right there. Oh yeah. There you go. Take that on. Look. See, it says “hi”. Now it says hi. Check, check, check, check, check. Let's go outside. and get this thing wet. Wet wet wet wet. Bow bow bow bow bow bow bow.

Hahahahahahahaha. I wonder if actually. playing music. will repel the rain. off of the speakers up here. Well, I'll get up on. top of the building and find out. Test, test, test. We've got some. echo echo, echo, echo, echo. Yo, hit it! Yeah. Okay. Yeah. Let's play our own music. Yeah, yeah.

Is it heavy? Yes. I can't believe we live. to be this old. And somehow we. have never seen this hole. A little dent, with a little bit of lint. inside it. underneath this umbrella. we've been hiding. It's time. that we unwrap this gift. Let's bring back.

the male midriff. - Is it working? (x8) - It’s my belly button. Is it working? - Is it working? - I’m not wet. I'm not wet. Either. Let me see what's happening on the top. Hold it. Very light. When you do that, that when the bass hits, it kind of like vibrates a little bit. It's actually pretty cool.

It's very water repellent up there. It's quite. What? It's actually very cool. It's very water repellent. On top of this thing. You would be very impressed if you can see the top of it. Why don't you go to the top of it? Look at the top, Link. Oh yeah. Oh yeah. I'm looking at the top and I'm getting real wet. Is the top cool? Is the top cool? Is the top cool? How cool is the top, foo? It's not so cool that I don't want.

to be under here where. I'm not quite as wet. Okay, I think this is actually pretty simple. We're having a good time. It's a little bit heavy, but. karaoke machine, will it umbrella? Yes. Oh, man. No, I've really gotten wet. This have been fun. I'd like to give a shout out. to Mike. soon to be moniker Paisley. Dadmagic. and the rest of the mythical crew that has managed.

to stay completely dry. for this entire test. Thank you for subscribing and clicking that bell. You know what time it is? What a fun episode. Cotton candy? - We've got kind of ugly - Cotton candy. Got a little bit ugly. I haven't done any umbrellaoke. Do we have that machine still? We don't have that. No, we didn't keep such of grand invention. No way. We got rid of it? We don't have enough room,

That's why I had to keep going. outside to do episodes. All right, that's okay. But see, now we've finally gotten in touch. with the ghost of Bob Hope. So, yes, he's very responsive. We could bring rain anytime. we want to this city. But we should ask it more. But we have demands. We should ask him more. Don't blame... Yeah. We're the reason why... ...the lack of rain on us. It's really Bob Hope's fault. Yeah. We can't ask him so often.

So let's, let's get off the subject, okay. Let's get off the rain. Let's get to the fire. Yes. So these are two sports, that shouldn't be tried at home. or inside a studio. or really combined. But that's what we did, because these are back from. that glorious time. in Good Mythical Morning history, when we did, like, 4 or 5 videos a day. Remember that back in 2017-ish? It’s all a blur. So this is fire. bowling from March 19th, 2018. An extreme liquid nitrogen golf.

from November 9th, 2018. - 2017. - 2017. The season 28 is soon, so. numbers don't matter. I have a ball of fire. We built. a bowling alley in our parking lot. Yeah, we finally got an excuse. to start that two man bowling league. We've always talked about the bowl movement. Now regular bowling. is just regular, so we wanted to make bowling lit.

We're going to do some fire bowling. with the help of Simon. One of the three of these guys. is equipped and, qualified to work with fire. Can you guess which one? Not the two guys in sequined shoes. I'll tell you that much. I'm told that you have. pre-rigged something here. Wanna see it? Yeah. All right, let's light it up then. I can't help but notice. that A, there are bumpers. and B, they’re on fire. You think we need bumpers?

All right, let's grab our balls. Now, let's grab our bowling balls. Going. All right. This is a cup of rubber cement. Do not let it near the fire. Rubber cement is super flammable. Yeah. Simon, did they tell you. that on this show they don't. - let me touch knives? - Yeah, yeah. You just gave this man a cup of napalm. Yeah, I'm pretty sure you only need, like, four inches. - Is that a lot? - That's good. That's perfect. We're just going to put some. You're going to glue a bowling ball. All right. Now what I want you to do. I want you to light your fire. line on fire. Fireballing man.

Whoa! Oh! Yo! Fire bowling roller. Oh, there it goes. It didn’t catch. It did, but it didn't feel like. we put enough rubber cement on that ball. Oh, yeah. He's going thick. Lay it on thick. Really want to get. Yeah, we really... We really do. Lighting. Beat 6, Neil. I’m remembering my PE 486 training. That's right.

I took a bowling class. in college. You better bowl before the fire goes out. Oh... strike! That is a hard ball. Yeah. I think it's just because the ball was on fire. Okay. Can we up the ante, though? Is there a way that we can have the ball. catch fire, come all the way down here. and then catch all of the pins on fire? Like, can we coat rubber cement. on every single one of these pins? We can. That's it. All right.

You got another strike in you, Neil? Yes. Ooh... It’s a strike. But they didn't all catch on fire. Haha. I got five for that because only five caught on fire. That's the game. At this point. You got to catch them all on fire. Okay, that's fire bowling. I've got to show that I belong in this league. That's right. If you leave this league, this leaves me. Yeah, it's a one man league. We don't want that. You got to at least light six. Okay. Hopefully ten. Do it.

One. Two three. 4567. How many? How many burning? Oh, it's all of us. It's official. I'm no longer ashamed of myself. Can we take fire? Bowling up one more notch. I want to hold a firey. ball in my hand. Okay. Yeah. Hahahahaha! Now this is your idea, so you go first. You scared? No. All right, here we go. There you go. You're holding the fireball. Behold, fire!

Nothing lit down there. My turn. Okay, Link. Light my juice. I have a ball of fire. I am a little nervous. that is a fire.

- Oh. Holy moly, - That's official. I think we almost caught. the camera on fire. Oh, that is a successful fireball. Hey, thank you so much. for making our dream come true. We're not done yet, I got a surprise for you guys. Turn around. Ain't nothing over here, Simon. All right, guys, turn around. and see what's up. You made a cockatrice. I did all of that myself. But what happens when you hit the bullseye?

I don't know. Okay, Link. you proven yourselves to be the best bowler in our league. I hate to say it. You do the honors. I’m going to let you redeem yourself. Oh, really? And bowl at that bullseye. Now, Rhett. There's a lot of pressure on me, man. Do not miss this bullseye. You got to have a good full. bowl movement. Okay. All right, here we go. That's doing it.

Oh, my God, that's a celebration. The bowl movement. Woohoo! Today, we're going to make golf faster and funner. We're Nitro-Golfing! Uh-huh, we have super cooled a series of objects using liquid nitrogen. Now we're gonna see if we can make a hole in one. You get a hole in one, I'll get you a chili dog. Something tells me that's not going to happen. Professionals like us refer to the golf hole as a cup, so I'm gonna hit a cupcake. Logic. Bagger Chase, please fetch me a cupcake.

Bagger Chase, you ever put a cupcake on a tee before? - First time. - How long you worked here at this particular course? - It's my first day. - Oh, lots of firsts for Bagger Chase. Oh, here we go. Fore! ( sentimental music ). Whoa! It went everywhere! - Did it go in the cup? - Some crumbs did, yep, I got some cupcake crumbs. I get a chili dog. Nothing says "I love you" like a shattered bouquet of flowers. Aim high, Link. I have to alter my professional golf swing.

Yeah. Oh my goodness, it's crackling. Fore! ( sentimental music ). ( laughing ). - Where'd it go? - Right there. It all went right there. Look at that. That was perfect, man. I see nothing in the hole. I took all of the flowers off, though. That's like a good lawn-mowing job there. Take this home to Christie. Hey baby, look what I got ya. Hmm, smells... like nothing.

You can leave your jack-o-lantern. on your porch to rot, or not. - Aah! - ( chuckles ). Look at it! Almost hurt myself on that one. - Wow. - It's like styrofoam. - Really cold styrofoam. - Look at that. This one will make your head explode. ( music playing ).

Whoops! ( laughs ). Bring that face over here. Look what you did, Link! Put it up to my face. It's like the Phantom of the Opera. Oh, that's cold! Don't put it on my face. This gummy bear is in deep hibernation. Let's wake him up. ( sound slowed ) Oh my goodness! Sub zero sub sandwich.

What kind of sub was that? It was cold cuts. Dirty diaper. You know what, Bagger Chase? I think I'm gonna go with a five iron on this one. I don't know what that is. It's the one with the five on it. Fore! - Ugh! - Is that real poop, or is that fake poop? - Why don't you taste it? - Cellular telephone. Can you hear me now? ( music playing ).

- What is that? - I don't know, lick it. Look how many-- who knew. that there was just pieces of paper. - inside of a phone? - It's just like a--. There's multiple pieces of paper! That's all a phone is! And that's how golf should be. Totally destructive and done in four minutes. I'm glad we're watching this back, because. this is how I remember that. I've done these things. Yep. And if somebody’s like. you ever, like, bowled. with the bowling balls on fire or you ever... - I’d remember that - ...had things frozen.

And then hit them with a golf club? I would remember that. Yeah. Done both of those. I mean that was cut down only four minutes. So... it's defensible. that we wouldn't remember it. Yeah. It's it was, you know, it was a strange time. for the show to be able. to do things like that. and so quickly, just to like... - Well, it took longer than 4 minutes... - fart it out. It took longer than four minutes to do. That's the sad reality, It took a lot longer than four minutes. Yeah. It just seemed to be worth. about four minutes of. great, great footage. In that time period.

All right. So we would always. find stuff to destroy. and we'd always have to go outside to destroy it. Like this. Castle back here. Oh, don't get any ideas. What? Don't get any ideas you want to see? You want to destroy that? I want to destroy it so bad. At least the end of the summer. You're going to stick around. and clean it up? I know. I'm not. We'll give you some time to think about that. While we watch. What will survive a crash test.

from February 6th, 2020. - To smash or to smash, that is the statement. - Let's talk about that. (upbeat music). Good Mythical morning. - In life, if there's anything we've learned, it's that for every yin there is a yang, a primordial balancing act of tension. For every trick there's a treat, for every Mary Kate there's an Ashley, and for every posted selfie,

there's 100 seemingly identical pictures you rejected. because you you got too in your own head about it. - I've never done that. Today, we're gonna offset that primordial balance. by attaching things to long ropes and smashing them together. at high speeds. What could go wrong? It's time for It's Fun to Smash Things into Each Other, So Let's go Extreme and Always Respect Your Mother. - Welcome to the smashing good time zone. - Next, to us (laughs), thanks for trying that. Next to us are two mystery items. that we're gonna be smashing into each other.

Each round, one of us is gonna get the power of choice. and then one of the items will be revealed. - Yeah, the goal each round is to pick the item. that will be the least smashed in a collision, and the chooser gets to take the one that he can see. or the one that he can't see. - And then we're gonna go outside. and let 'em smash and crash. and whoever's object was least smashed, gets the points for the round. - Points are gonna go up each round. and whoever wins is gonna be named Smash Brian. Now let's get smashical. (upbeat heavy metal music).

- Okay, this first round is worth one billion points. - Wow. All right, to see who gets the power of choice, we're gonna choose a sledgehammer. Okay, you wanted that one? You're so good at choosing these. I wanna choose the one that you were gonna choose. Aw. - Oh, boy. - [Link] Yes, look at you! - I should've let you do it, man. I should've just gone with fate. - I'm gonna go right, yes! Look, I pulled the longer one. - It happens sometimes. Okay-- - That's what it feels like. - So Lucas is gonna reveal one of these. Are you gonna reveal the toilet or the? - It's gonna be the toilet.

- Okay. (Rhett laughs). - All right, so you're telling me. this is gonna dangle from a rope? There's no way. what's under that is gonna smash a toilet, so--. - Well, do you remember what happened. when we cooked on a toilet? - I'm-- - It fell apart. I mean, just cooking with a toilet. - But there's a lot more of-- - But we were still good. - This to break apart and still be mostly together. versus whatever's under there. So I'm sticking with the toilet. - Okay, let's see what the toilet is gonna get broken by. - Oh gosh, what is that? (Rhett laughing).

- A gargoyle? Okay, I'm not sure what this things made out of, but it's pretty hefty, so let's smash it. - Welcome to the jolly smashing good time, pip pip cheerio zone. - All right, let's smash 'em, three. - [Rhett And Link] Two, one. - Pull. - Smash! - [All] Oh! Oh!

- [Link] You didn't let yours go. - I sure did, it just didn't release. - It was a delay and yours was a obliterated. Even if it was way up there. Look at that, now they're swinging together in harmony. (Link grunting). - Yeah, so-- - All right. - So I pulled it very hard. I don't know exactly what happened, but it didn't have to get down here. to see that gargoyle did not survive. And again, it is made of plastic, but (laughs) that didn't help.

- Now, I just wanna see if there's any problem. with my toilet. Nope, no problem at all. - Oh well, I mean, you've lowered the value. This might be in the clearance section at Marshalls now. - All right, so we--. - Because it's got a little chippy chipperoo there. (upbeat heavy metal music). - I got a billion points, I feel like a billion bucks, and if you wanna feel like a billion bucks. you can get this GMM Heritage sweatshirt at mythical.com. This next round is worth--. - Two billion points. - Two billion points. - All right. You wanna go first?

I'm not gonna do any indication, even though last time I should've--. - Maybe you should do an indication. - Ope, but you pulled it, and now whoa! - Dang it. - Look at me, I'm on a roll. The tables have turned. - I'm on a longy roll. All right, Lucas, reveal. - Ooh. - A brick. - [Rhett] A brick. - Okay, so much smaller in this round. That one's bigger. - Brick, hmm. - Hmm, it's hard to destroy a brick. - Brick is very dense.

You can build with them I hear. - Yeah, I gotta go with the brick. - Okay, going with the brick. - I'm going with a-- - There's no way. - Oh, a bigger brick. - Oh, a cinder block. (Rhett laughing). - Okay. - I'm going with a bigger brick. - That's... (crew laughing). The brick versus the block. - All right, let's smash 'em, three. - [Rhett And Link] Two, one, pull. (Rhett laughing) - Oh, no!

(Rhett laughing) - Oh, no! - Take that, brick! - My brick came all the way back here. My brick busted in half. Dang. - Okay. Now, you did a teeny bit of damage to me, but you know what? I still feel I can build a cinder block wall with this. What are you gonna do with your two bricks? - I can make, like, a brick. - A brick trick (laughs).

It's a brick trick. Do it, Link. - Two billion points, man. - Well--. - Oh, look at that. (upbeat heavy metal music). - All right, we're three billion points now. - So many points! - Now, my ability to grab long things. has not translated to hammers, so I have no confidence now. Link, you just need to go first. - No, I like you going first. - No, you have to go first, I refuse. - What would you choose if you were going first? - I'm not even gonna look at them. I'm not even contemplating it. - Whoops. (Rhett laughs). - Wow. - Didn't help me last time, though.

- It's helping you every single time. - All right. - There you go, okay. - Power of choice. What is this triangular thing? Oh, we got a fancy desk top and monitor. Are we sure we wanna destroy this, guys? This stuff looks valuable. - Yeah. I could use on of those. A nice, square monitor. - What is that? All right. All right, I think I know what that is. Now are we gonna string both of these up together? Is this like two dangles?

(Link sighs). I'm gonna stick with this. - Okay, I think this might be, oh, whoa. - Look at this, it's a old iMac. - This old Mac. - Look it, it's got that, you're hurting my hand 'cause we both grabbed it. - There's a lot of weight on that thing. - That is heavy. A lot heavier than this (laughs). - [Stevie] You get it guys? - Oh, Mac versus PC. - It's Mac versus PC. (Rhett Laughs) (Link yells). - You can still make that joke. Hello, I'm a Mac.

- And I'm a PC. - [Rhett And Link] Three, two, one, pull. - [Rhett] Oh! - Oh my gosh! Oh my gosh! What on earth? That was crazy. - Okay, this is not gonna be an easy thing to determine. - Now, if we just look at what's dangling. - [Rhett] Your monitor's fully intact. - There's nothing wrong with the monitor.

There's a lot wrong with your monitor. - [Rhett] Okay, so we lost a full side of this. - Let's put these up here. Look at this. This is, I mean, that, this is kind of even. You know what I'm saying? Like a whole surface is busted off. - [Rhett] I mean, there is my monitor.

I mean, it's taken a beating. It's got a crack in it. - [Link] Yeah, the monitor's been damaged and removed. from the rest of the processing point, whatever. What is that? Look at that. It's a CD-ROM. - That's the CD drive. - [Link] Listen--. - I mean, it's pretty close, but the fact that you've got a piece that's fully intact, I think the PC may have taken this home. - Yeah, man, give me those points.

- All right, PC wins. (upbeat heavy metal music). - Our final round is worth four billion points. - It's anybody's game. - Who knew we had so many points that we could earn? Oh, see, okay, you know, I'm glad you grabbed first. - No, I'm just touching it. (laughs) You've won all three of these. - Yeah, I ain't gonna grab what you grabbed. Ha! (Rhett laughs). Take it! - [Together] Oh, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa. - Whoa, whoa, whoa. - I won!

- You won. - Whoa! - You won by that much. - Finally, finally, okay, all right. - And what--. - [Together] Is that? - Is that a meatball? - It's a meteor. This came from another galaxy. It's a meatball. - A meatball can't, a meatball's just waiting to be broken, I think. I don't know what this is, but--. - You have the power of choice. - I'm selecting this.

- Okay. - Which I guess I should now reveal what it is. - [Link] Let's see what it is. What is that a cake face? Is this a cake? - Is that Sinbad? (crew laughing). No, it's Guy Fieri (laughs). It's a Guy Fieri cake head. - Is that Guy Fieri? - Yeah. Isn't it? - [Stevie] Yeah. - Yeah. Okay, Guy Fieri head versus meatball, which is really meatball versus meatball. Okay, it's anybody's game.

- That's right. - I got a Guy Fieri cake head. - And I got a meatball but listen. if that Guy Fieri cake has like a rock in the middle of it, I think that's the only way you're gonna beat me. - Hopefully this Guy Fieri cake has a rock. in the middle of it. - And I wouldn't be happy if I found that out, so--. - Here we go, ready? - I mean, you honestly think you can win? - Listen, I have faith in Fieri. It's my religion. - Leave me out of it. - Here we go, three. - [Rhett And Link] Two, one, pull.

- [Rhett And Link] Oh! Oh! - Oh, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, what? What? - They smashed in, well, not in the way kids talk about it. - Don't touch it. Wow, okay--. - There's still doing a little dance. - It was so soft and, I mean, we've got... I mean, there's a little bit of cake on the ground, a little bit of meat. Oh, hold on, Link. Look at this.

- Well, I would say that Guy--. - Hold on. - Definitely has a concussion. - But look at this. Look at, do you see a piece of Guy. that is this big somewhere on the ground? Because that's a big piece of meatball. - Where did that fall off of though? - Right there in the back. Right there, see that? - From the bottom? - The bottom. I mean--. - But look at that head injury right there. - Oh, that can easily be fixed. That happens every Friday night to Guy. - Okay-- - I kind of think. - [Link] Fix it. - You know, you just pat it a little bit. - This thing is heavy.

- Okay, listen--. - Is there a rock in here? - All I gotta say is, there's a lot of cracks in yours. and there's a giant piece of your meatball brain. on the ground. - The only place on Guy that was compromised at all. was just right there at the string. and then a little cracking. His cheek, his cheekbone got broken, but he's still looks great. I mean, all right, so I'm gonna concede this one to you. and your Guy Fieri head. - All right, that means I get four billion points. and I'm officially Smash Brian!

- You earned it, Rhett. - Whoo! - You lucky dog. - Thanks for subscribing and clicking that bell. - All right, you know what, I'm gonna deconstruct this thing. to make sure there's not a rock in it in Good Mythical More. You know what time it is. I would have been all. right not seeing that Guy. Fieri head ever again, ever again. That's, That was quite disturbing. It makes me a little hungry, though. You never know what's going to work. or how difficult it's going to be. to pull things back. and get them to hit each other. What you didn't see in that edit.

was how many times. we couldn't make the things. hit each other. Right. We had some difficulty. But this next one. we're going to watch. There was a lot that went into this, this episode took. an entire day just to film, and it took. days, slash weeks. to prepare for. This is when we thought. we wanted to go outside. and we wanted to do something. big to shake things up.

Let's do, like, a stunt. Let's do something to. really get the clicks. or not. Six years later, it. is hovering around 1.1 million views, which is a lot of views. for a YouTube video in general. Yeah, not necessarily. for one on this channel, but I would click on can we launch a hot dog into a bun. if I saw the right. thumbnail? Yes. You think it's the thumbnail’s fault? Let's well, we're not trying. to let this fall around this.

Let's watch it. and then we'll talk more about it. This, was from November. 21st, 2019. - Can we catapult a hot dog into a bun? - Three, two. - [Both] Let's talk about that. (upbeat music). - Good mythical morning. - We are on our way to a field. in order to catapult a hot dog into a bun.

- On our video where we put cheese wheels on a car. we got a comment from juiceypimp who said, "Try to make a pig fly next!". - That seemed inappropriate on a number of levels. but it did lead to what we're gonna do today. - Yes, now typically, putting a hot dog. into a hot do bun is a pretty simple process. See that? - Can I see that again? - Boom. Can I see that again? - That is very easy. - But what we're gonna do today. is gonna be a lot more fun than that, and potentially more dangerous. - If we're going to succeed, it will be because of this man.

- Hey guys. - Or if we fail, I will say, I will probably blame you. - I'm trying to be confident. - Yeah, I'm trying to be confident, too. - Okay, Pasley, when you first heard about this idea. how did it make you feel? - Sheer excitement. So, it's definitely-. - Is it impossible? - No, no. The more common name of like a gravity-driven catapult. is a trebuchet. - [Link] Trebuchet. - A trebuchet is like a square, right? So, a trebuchet is a catapult, but a catapult isn't necessarily a trebuchet. So, in order to shoot a hot dog.

we have to overcome a lot of physics. The internet led me to something amazing. called virtualtrebuchet.com. One of the most important attributes for us. is the release angle. We're not sieging a castle, we're launching a wiener. So we don't want our wiener to come straight out, we want our wiener to pop up. It's got to come up at a very high angle. rather than just straight out. You can simulate this and it gives you a sense. of what's gonna happen. - [Link] Look at that wiener go. Oh, my, what?

- But again, you know, this is all simulation. We gotta see what's gonna really happen. - Right. - Okay. - But what we have is a little mini-boy. - Okay, so you've got a model. - Yeah. It's gonna shoot this way, so if you wanna take a look at it. Yep. - Shoot right towards you. - Right now it's shooting right at your eyeball. - It's shooting right at me? - Yeah, right in your mouth. Kill ya. - So, what are we gonna catapult? - Right, we're gonna need a projectile, so we're gonna use this one right behind Link's ear. And we're just gonna... - A little smokey. Hold on, you've been keeping little smokies. behind my ear? - behind your ear.

- Here, we'll just go partial wiener. - Okay, ready? Three, two, one. - Whoa, it hit Merle Haggard. - Well, which one? Where is it? - It hit the way I am. It bounced right there. It hit right above his head. - Here it is. - You can see the little grease mark. It almost hit him on the head. Were you aiming for that? Were you aiming for that? - Oh yeah, right above his head. - I aimed for his eyeball, actually. - Okay, um... - It's gonna work. - [Mike] It's gonna work. - I'm convinced now.

- How much time you gonna need? - A week? - Hey hey. - Hey guys. You ready to get started? - Is it in there? - It is, ta-da! (door clatters). - It's in a lot of pieces. - Yeah. It's like a kit. - Who's going to assemble it? - We're the dream team right here. Let's get goin'. - I'll hold the hot dog.

("Flight of the Bumblebee" plays). - Oh gosh, I kinda thought I'd show up after this part. (metal clanking). (drill buzzing). - Are there any snacks? - Down a little bit. - I'm good, I was made for this, man. - I'm kinda guessing here. - [Mike] Yep, well stop. - Ah, I freaking broke it. This is the hot dog holder.

- The wiener holder. - The wiener holster. The dingaling sling. - Oh, you know what we could call it? What if we called it the dinger slinger? (Rhett laughs). - Behold, the fully assembled... - [All] Dinger slinger. - Looks good. - Yeah, I've got the bun here. which will receive the dinger. - And I've got the wiener, dinger, here. which will go into the bun. Just so. - Just like that. That's how easy it is. - Just like so. - Okay, I'm gonna run down,

we've got it measured off, and my bun shall be awaiting the dinger. - See ya later, dude. - [Mike] Sling your ding. - [Link] All right. - [Mike] Put it right there in the middle. - Okay, the very center of this target. is exactly 283 feet from the center of the trebuchet. So, I am going to lightly place the open bun, and you know what? On the computer model it was like 282.8,

so I'm just gonna... - You ready? - Yes. - Three, two, one. - [Rhett] It didn't work. - Where is the frickin' dinger? - I know that my eyesight is dwindling with age, but from 283 feet it looks like it didn't work. - All right, so we are tethering... No, we are severing the safety lines.

- Well, we're severing one of the safety lines. So we'll have to reset it manually each time. - [Link] Okay. - So, you see I'm holding this weigh down? We'll have to do that instead of having. a nice winch to pull it down. - Okay, well I'll just hold the dinger. Attempt number two, placing the dinger. Three, two, one. Oh, it went basically straight up. Little short. Right here, right here.

You know what? The wiener's intact, that is the good news. - Now, what happened, boys? - We got a lot of pop fly. I think we need to try for more out, less pop, more out. - Yeah. - [Mike] That pin at the very top, we're gonna bend it a little bit more. - So that it releases later. Okay, ready? - Ready. - Three, two, ding it. Where is it? Oh, shoot, dang it.

This one went even short of the last one. Not feeling great at this point. It's like we're actually losing momentum. - This is how every great exercise in greatness starts. - What are we changing this time? - First of all, I'm here now. - Okay, Rhett's here now. - There's that. - We're rotating the pouch. because I think we might have the pouch inside out, which I'll take blame for. - That's not sexy. What are we doing that's sexy? - Rotating the pouch, now that sounds sexy.

- We rotated the pouch but then we straightened out the pin. - Straightened out the pin, which sounds very, very sexy. - All right, here we go. - I'm on board for this. - Three, two, one. Oh my gosh, it's going straight up. - [Rhett] It's so, look, whoa (laughing). Oh, that was crazy! Is that what happens every time. on this fun end of the thing? - I mean, that's the same place it hit last time. - This is fun, you see how high it went? You guys didn't seem like you were having fun.

- Well, I want it to go far. It went up. - [Mike] Yeah, I mean that wiener disappeared in the sky. - All right, let's start putting flags. Yeah, that's a good idea. - We need to learn something. Oh, you're gonna go, okay. Kinda makes the flag pointless. - We got wieners to spare, I guess. Now, can I just ask a question? And I don't wanna have an existential crisis. this early in the process, but are we willing... - No, it's like a mic. - Oh, I was gonna eat it. because when you put a wiener near me, I'm gonna bite it.

Are we willing to just go ahead. and move to the potential reality that. we're just gonna shoot our wiener really high in the air, not too far, and put it in a bun? Or, do we insist that this wiener has to travel. an impressive distance? - We've only tried three times. - Well, what are we gonna change now? Are we gonna go double wiener? Are we gonna go triple wiener? Are we gonna throw something else in it? - I think the wiener itself has to be heavier.

I think we need a weightier wiener. - What's the heaviest wiener on the market? I feel like we should put two wieners in there. and see what happens. - Okay. - And maybe we should just go ahead and do three wieners. - Okay, let's do three wieners. It's a three dog night. We may be here til the night. Three, two, oner. Oh wow, there's four in there. - [Mike] One of them split. one of them split. Okay, all right. I wanna readily admit that my theory was not sound.

- Three, two, one. - Higher, it went straight up. - Oh my God, it's higher, and closer. All right, but not much closer. - It's pretty interesting--. - Exact same distance. - That it's coming out the side and yet it's still going. almost exactly the same distance every time. - [Mike] Climb up on the trebuchet, Caitlyn. - [Lucas] Climb up on the trebuchet. (wood cracks). - [Lucas] Okay. - [Mike] But not on that part. - [Lucas] Not that specific part. - [Mike] You can't stand on that. - Caitlyn just broke the trebuchet.

Since the dog is slipping out of the side, let's just make sure we can get something. to go the distance. - To get it to open up as designed, so like something heavy, like a whole pack of hot dogs. Like, not even opened. - [Mike] Okay. I'm not gonna touch it. - So, we've taken out the hoses on the sides. so that it'll cradle it more. Throw the smokies in there. - [Rhett] Oh yeah, look at that. I mean, look at that cradling job. - I think we're gonna have to start. getting religious on this thing. - Maybe we should hold hands. Okay, all right.

- Three, two, one. - [Mike] Activate. - [Rhett] Yeah! - [Link] That went forward. - [Rhett] Okay, all right, progress. - [Link] Give me a flag. - [Rhett] A little progress. A little smokie progress. - [Link] Wa-bam. - [Rhett] We got little smokies everywhere. Look at that. - [Link] A little smokie. - Now that the pouch is holding on. in the way that it should, might I suggest--.

- You might. - We just put one wiener in there. and see what happens. - All right, I got some good news and some bad news. - [Link] Okay. - The good news is that worked, that was great, guys. Good job. - Yeah, we're feeling good. - Let's all give each other a hand, this is awesome. Um, the thing bent pretty badly. - What do you mean? - The arm in the end of it, you're gonna see. - Oh my God. - Little smokies are heavier than anybody thought. - [Link] But, I mean, is it still gonna work? - One way to find out. - Well, if it's not broken. So, let's leave it as is and do one wiener. - Okay. Three, two, one.

- [Rhett] Oh whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, look at that thing. - [Link] Where did it go? - All the way here. Whoa, we got an exploded wiener. That went exactly the same distance as the little smokies, so the weight is not even important anymore. Look at that wiener. - And look at that thing, it was decimated.

- When do you think that happened? When it hit the ground? Okay, so it seems like. we've got a pretty consistent launch, and I think that, at this point, because the thing is bent, it's coming over here to the right, so... - We are ready to place a bun. - And why not just put a bun. exactly where the last one landed? - [Mike] That should just go right there. - But what are the chances. it's gonna hit this one single bun? Our odds are drastically increased. - But still very, very low, I think. - Yeah.

- But, only one way to find out. Okay, we're ready. - Three, two, one. - It's way over there, way short. - We were over here. - I mean, it's going more than a hundred feet, but not much more. It's pretty much--. - Thank you. - It's pretty much just straightened out. - Be pretty cool to catch a hot dog from this far away. - What do you guys think we do next? - The bun has to have the option. to move to meet the wiener. You need moving wiener, moving bun, coming together in one cosmic hot dog marriage.

- That's kinda fancy speak for, I think you're saying you just want to catch the hot dog. in a bun. - in a bun. Yeah. - Okay, Andrew you want a bun, too? - Some may call this a compromise, so do I. - [Rhett] All right, we're ready. - [Link] We are ready. - [Mike] Okay, in three, two, one. - Where is it?

- I got it. - Reset. This is what happens when you let Lucas pull. Reset. - 13 people out here. trying to catch some hot dogs in some buns. - Well, really, there's just two. trying to do exactly that right now. - Three, two, one. - [Link] Get it Rhett, get it. So close! - This is gonna happen. This is gonna happen, people.

- Three, two, one. - [Link] You got it. Oh, it was right on you. - Oh, I caught half of it. - No, dude, you dropped it. - I caught half of it and the rest of it broke off. - Dude, it went right to you. - I caught it but it broke because it's moving so fast. So, I caught half of it and the other half broke off. Okay, guys... - [Mike] We should half one more hot dog. - No, here's what we need. We're gonna need a bigger bun. I mean, what does it say on the package? - [Both] Hot dog bun.

- Okay, I believe basically we need. to make a catcher's mitt out of this thing. - Yeah, put your hand right behind the knife there. - [Rhett] Oh, I've dealt with this before. - [Link] I'm not one to tell you how to cut something. - [Rhett] That's true. - I'll be honest, I haven't seen the hot dogs. fly through the air at all. Like, I cannot find them. - Okay, well then you should give me the bigger bun. - I'll be further back, and I'll just close my eyes and pray. - Three, two, one.

- [Link] Oh, oh, ah. - I was confused by the multiple--. - I didn't know there was four frickin' hot dogs in there. - I was confused, but do it again. - Three, two, one. Leeroy Jenkins. - Okay, ahh, I caught it! I caught one! - [Link] You caught one? - [Rhett] I mean, I did. It broke off again. Does that count? - [Link] Where's the rest of the dog? - [Rhett] It's on the ground.

- You caught two halves, that's a whole. - Do we have to get a whole dog in there? We gotta get a whole dog in there. Reset. - [Mike] Three, two, one. - Yes, got it! Whole dog. - [Link] I got it on the outside of my--. - I got the whole dog. - I got this. You got a whole dog? - I got a whole dog, on the inside. - Look at that, oh, and it's even, it broke in half but it's in there. That counts, does this count? - Yes! - Hit my arm... - Not really, but this is definitely in there.

Look at that. That is a whole wiener inside of a whole bun. From a catapult, dare I say, a trebuchet. That's a hot dog, but there's only one way to be sure. Any wiener on that side? - Wiener didn't make it to my end. - This is the wiener side, come here.

- I got wiener, whoo! - There you go, that's a hot dog, ladies and gentlemen. That was a wiener being thrown through the air. into said hot dog bun to make one giant hot dog. like the world has never seen. You're welcome. - Lemme tell you. - Tell me. - That's the best tasting hot dog I've ever had. - Host dog. Okay, mission accomplished. Well done, sir. I know we hit some roadblocks there, but you know what? We jumped over them.

- We powered through. - In the journey of life, there's roadblocks, you know? - Yeah, you can't just stop when you feel like a loser. You gotta turn yourself into a winner, or a wiener. - A wiener, yeah. - Sorry. - Don't be. - Comment below and let us know. what you'd like to see us do next. - Thanks for liking, commenting, and subscribing. - You know what time it is. We succeeded. Yeah, we did it. Oh, you know, it's just one of those things. where we put so much work into it. Or Paisley. You put a lot more work into it. You know, we just showed up and we're like, oh, this is it. Oh.

I think that the is the tale. of increased desperation. to get some sort of conclusion out of a video. that you've invested. way too much energy into it. Well, the thing about this is that this, the hot dog. launcher, has become shorthand. for a category of episode. Oh really? This is this is turning it into a hot dog. If somebody has. if somebody is pitching an idea that is going to take.

a lot from a lot of people in this building, and it's not going to get. a lot of views from the people. in all those buildings out there. We are like, is this a hot dog launcher. situation? Again, love doing it. Love what it became. Is this a cheese. wheels on a car situation? Yeah, right. I did that one too. Damn. Well, it was. It was a strategy. Did we do a third one or. Yeah. Pizza car. Oh we did a pizza car.

and a cheese wheel car. Yeah, yeah. We got to use the things that we have. and it's got to be food. - Got a lot of miles. - So it had to be food. - So we're like... - It was my neighbor's car. Hot dog pizza and cheese. What else? And a lot of work. You said you had some. other ideas that were. that were on a list. Yeah. Not all my ideas are team effort. But yeah, I found the document for 2019. that has a brainstorm list, but we decided. that the hot dog catapult was the one to go with.

I'll just read the headlines. Water balloon pizza launcher. Don't know what that means. suspended in the. air for 24 hours. That would have. That would have worked. We wrapped bird. scooters in bacon. Stevie remembers that. That became a pizza car. Probably. We gave a baby money. When you're brainstorming, no idea's a bad idea.

But at this point, that was a bad idea. We secretly planted 1000. trees around Los Angeles. Like in the middle of an intersection? Yeah, I don't know. Rhett adopts Link. That was that. You know, legally, we would have gone through it. Yeah. Rhett and Link make dogs... Oh, Rhett and Link make Dogs:

The Musical in 12 hours. There’s like cats. But it was dogs. Yeah. Do you guys want more? No. Okay. No no no no no. Nothing that we should have done. I'll tell you something that we watch. and we're like, we should have done that. And that's WonderHole S2. we want to. remind you that this Sunday. and every Sunday, as long as the season last, which is six episodes, you can watch it. They come out at 2 p.m. eastern, 11 a.m. Pacific on the Rhett.

and Link YouTube channel, or you can stream them early. and ad free exclusively. on the Mythical Society. WonderHole! Woo! Thanks for watching. Now we have taken baths and a lot of things. Cereal, shamrock. shakes, ranch dressing, dust. And yes, we've taken water baths here. Yeah, of various temperatures. But today we look back on a bath. that holds a very special place in our hearts. This is chicken Noodle Soup bath. from September 1st, 2016.

Rub it up, dub two men. and some chicken noodles in a tub. Let's talk about that. Good Mythical Morning. Mythical beast. You are like the inquisitive yodeler. who yodeled his question or her question. from the mountain top. And we are the echo. who repeated your question. back to you verbatim, but in such a way as to make.

you think we answered it. Well, it's very complex. We ask you to ask us questions. about sick, being sick, and sick things. Sick day. And Stephanie. Mathias asked, what is the best home remedies. for when you're sick? Plural. And since you used S and made it. plural, we're going to make the answer plural, because everybody knows the number. one cure for a cold. is chicken noodle soup. And the number two cure. for when you're sick is a hot bath. And we today are going to combine the two.

I don't know if that's actually number two, but so what? It's what we decided to do. Let's just go with it and not draw. any attention to it. We're going to make ourselves a chicken noodle soup. bath. Human size. Here we are again with our trusty metal tub. that we take two men baths in. Yeah, it. And it's time to do it again, Rhett. Back again. You feel sick? You know what? I have been fighting off a cold and I feel like. I still got a little bit of congestion in there. So I'm going to bring you all the way out. It's going to loosen it up.

Hopefully we'll loosen it up and put it into the soup. Don't do that. I’m sure you're going to be enjoying. We're going to sample that okay. So we are feeling the heat. from the coals that are underneath this. And bringing this up to a simmer. We got some chicken broth already in here. We can add some more. Yeah. We have all the ingredients that you need. for chicken noodle soup, including chicken broth. Lift with your back, not your legs. Here you go. I can just smell the. sodium is healing. The sodium is healing. Oh, look at that. Somebody should have mixed that. But whatever. Of course you can't have chicken.

noodle soup without carrots. Carrots make you make you well. So do celeries. Oh, look at that. Link, I think you have. another important ingredient over there. I've got some onions. These are good for your skin. Did you know that. celery floated? Yeah. Brother. Have you eaten soup before? I feel like I'm in physics class. Let's noodle this piece. Okay. Lots of noodles, bucket fulls of noodles.

Oh, good gosh. you had a sort of a noodle nugget. there, a noodle plug. You want to put the noo--. Whoa. Okay, now, this is this is... Release the noodle kraken. When you’re dealing with soup of this size. Noodle plugs are not an uncommon occurrence. Now, here's how you deal with noodle plug. You take your paddle. Can I have one? Yeah. And you find the plug. You want to locate the plug. There's one. You want to break up the plug. You're trying to break it. You're trying to break up that plug.

Oh, yeah. Look at that. It can be difficult to locate the plug. because the plugs don't float. Plugs are a sinker. Plugs are a sinker. Well, on that note, we're going to move on. to the most important ingredient. In chicken noodle soup. Chicken. Chicken, Link I think you got chickens. Look at all this chicken parts. Oh, man, I'm getting hungry. for some baths. It's getting really hot to me, too. And we've got pieces of chicken, but we also wanted a chicken. Chicken? So just be taking a bath with us.

Yeah, and that could be. what one of us sits on. Or we could play. Find the chicken. Find the chicken? Yeah, I might be sitting on it. Yeah. There he goes. Okay, now I think we should start again. And you want to make sure. you just brush up next to the chicken. You don't want to undo the chicken. You want the chicken to stay intact. How you're talking about this. as if you've done it before. I've done it in my mind. Who has done this before? Chicken floated a little bit. Okay, Bob, let's call her Bob. Okay. All right. Now we wait. for this to come up to bathing temperature, which I'm saying is about 95 degrees.

That sounds great. That's going to take time. We're going to kill the time by singing. a song. Sick as a dog. Sick as a cat. Sick as a corrupt diplomat. Sicker than beast. Sicker than Dre.

Sicker than finding an extra nugget. on your lunch tray. I need a chicken noodle soup bath. A chicken noodle soup bath. Just do the math. Sick plus chicken soup equals. a chicken noodle soup bath. Sick as a dog, sick as a cat. Sick as a middle age’s rat. Sicker than you sicker than me.

Sicker than fruit. from a salmonella tree. Salmonella grows on trees. I need a chicken noodle. soup bath. A chicken noodle soup bath. Just do the math. Sick plus chicken soup. Equals a chicken. noodle soup bath. [Sick whistling solo].

Now a mouth trumpet. [Sick mouth trumpet solo].

One more time. [Sick mouth trumpet solo again]. Oh! I need a chicken noodle soup bath. A chicken noodle soup bath. Just do the man, sick plus. chicken soup equals.

a chicken noodle soup bath. It’s warm. Let's get in. I peed on myself because you played. the mouth trumpet. All right, good song. Good soup. Good times. All right, disrobe. Link. Look at me. Oh, look, you went with... You went with some purple thing, too. Yeah. Oh, don't want to do that... We always wear the best shorts when we take baths. All right. Don't tip this, okay? You want to take it out and do something? I then proceed to do it.

Let me check the bottom of your feet to make sure. they're clean before you stick them in something. I'm going to eat now that. How about mine? Kind of dirty. All right. Pretend you didn't see that. All right, let's go in. I think I'll get in first. because I got more leg than you do, and you can kind of work around me. All right. More leg, more brains. Oh. Whoa! Warm. Well, there's a chicken under that. My foot. Right now. You do get a lot of the chicken. What are the chances that I stepped on the chicken? Get in there.

Oh. Oh. Nasty or. Ooh, awesome. I just don't know what I'm feeling, but I'm feeling good. All right, I'm coming in after you. Oh, it's nice and warm. All right. Here we go. Oh. Oh yeah. I got my foot on a noodles. Noodle bed. Yeah. There's a noodle bed. Ooh oo mama. Haha. Yeah. Well you know what. We went heavy on the celery. Well the celery just up there. Gotta get it mixed.

Get it down, get it mixed. You know, grab some noodles, but grab noodles, not noodle. Okay. Hey, hey, whoa whoa whoa, you're getting close, noodle. Now, I also want to make an observation. that this is a perfect example. of what I would want to see. in a bite of chicken noodle soup in a little spoon. And you're going to eat that? Yeah, I'm just going to sink my mouth into it. You first. I'm going to sink my mouth. into it. I'm gonna. Get well, one bite at a time.

This is extremely healthy. It's good. I mean, it's chicken noodle soup. How can it be bad? Carrots aren't. cooked that much yet. Whoa. Oh, there it is. He's lost. This is the life, man. Well, this is a life. These are two lives lost in chicken. You want some chicken? I don't like to just bite the whole chicken. It's not becoming of a man.

Oh, I knew it. Yeah, buddy. Nice and warm. Whoa. How is it? It's warm. Yeah. You want to follow it up with a chicken breast? Sure. Excuse me. Sprite and chicken breast. Happy man. Happy hands. Hold on, is that your foot? No. Chicken soup for the soul. Empty nesters.

Look at how pristine it is. How did it? What?! It was like it was in a pocket. It’s totally dry. on the inside right away. Read away, empty nester. This is chapter 65 swings and things. Now we go down to the garage. It's a two car, but there's only one. car. Why? Because here are my oldest son. Skiing and camping gear, all our children's bicycles and sleds, and all of the toys they outgrew. but couldn't bear to throw away. We miss our children terribly, but one question keeps nagging at my brain.

what is this empty nest. we keep hearing about? The kids may have flown, but we're stuck with their droppings. Yeah, clean that up. Yeah, kids taking dumps in the garage. That's a disorder. Get them out of the nest. All right, I this put this completely. sealed book back in here. Hey, let's take turns. submerging ourselves. Submerging. Yet you submerge first, and then I submerge. Okay, well, you know how this goes. You gotta get your arms out. I gotta get my legs up around you, I’m gonna turn sideways for this.

Feels great. The soup, I mean. Get your head under. I'm going to put the book in between me and you. Yeah. Do it as a barrier. I can't really get up on you. Tell me when you're done. Oh, come on, there he goes. And that's the last we saw of Rhett. This is not a desirable place to be. How was it? Salty. Did you open your mouth under there? Yeah. Slide up, brother. Everything is so soft in here. Exactly.

All right, let me. Let me have a turn. I'm gonna have to. On your side's here. Yeah, I'm gonna get my arms out, and then I'm gonna. Can you hold my glasses? Put your legs in my hands. Just slide. I'm like. They’re like stirrups. Yeah. Look, there we go. Oh, oh, oh, look at that. It's salty under there, isn’t it? My life flashed before my eyes and it looked. like chicken.

This is fun for a little bit. And now, I'm thinking. this is weird a lot bit. So I'd like to. I'd like to get out and, get on with my life. I'm glad that we did it. I don't feel like I have to do it anymore. Yeah, this is kind of a one time thing. Yeah, it's a oner. And you know what? Maybe we should look into. getting a trough for each of us. I think we actually already have that. Oh, really? I don't know why we're not in two. Okay. Thanks for liking, commenting. and subscribing.

You know what time it is? I never thought about doing that. in the subsequent times that I've gotten sick. No. And, we said we wouldn't do it again. No more chicken. noodle soup baths. Really no more baths. Quite a few baths. What we're cleaning. It was an internet era, the era of baths. And we made it. We made it through. And that's what. we celebrated today. - That's what we celebrated - We've lived through... The bath era of the internet. We celebrating that.

which we contributed to. The bath era is over. And the marathon is almost over. But let's slide. into one more episode. And if you don't get what I'm getting at. you will after Rhett says what. he's about to say. This is will it slip and slide. for a May 28th, 2018. See? Today we ask the age old question, will it slip and slide? Let's talk about that.

Good Mythical Summer. and happy Memorial Day. We're back. Did you miss us? Because we missed you. And if you couldn't tell by the cool summer vibes. that we're throwing out, it is summertime. That means vacations, cookouts, and excruciating. sunburn everywhere on your body. except those two streaks on the side of your head. from where your sunglasses were. If you want to know. what we've been up to so far this summer, listen to Ear Biscuits, our podcast, which comes out in audio form every Monday. and in video form the following Saturday.

On this channel all summer long. And one of the things we're doing this. summer is taking the Tour of Mythicality to Australia. That's right. We're going to be in. July in Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane. Are you ready for us? Get tickets and info. at tourofmythicality.com. But today, to kick off Good Mythical Summer, we are focusing on the greatest summertime. invention of all time, the slip and slide. And you might think it's impossible. to squeeze any more fun out of a long sheet of thin.

plastic covered in water, but we beg to differ. Did you wheez? Yeah, I wheeze man. I wheez when I get excited. Well, by the end of this video, we may be begging for mercy because. we're going to be slip sliding on some stuff. that's never been slip slid on before. It's time for. will it slip and slide? Those people slip and slide in their backyard. But we're not most people. This is a parking lot. Most people cover their slip and slide in water, but we're not most people, so we're not putting water on there.

We're putting various objects, and we're starting with something. that's got a reputation for being very slippery. The banana peel. Yeah. As you can see, we have covered these twice. as long as regulation. slip and slides because we are lengthy men. Yeah. In banana peels. Yeah I think it might work. It's a little slippery. They're all face down. I don't know if it's just hitting me as. we stand here over these. that we should have gotten children to do this. We do not employ children. And that is on the record. So you guys, I'm. legitimately worried children. I'm legitimately worried about getting hurt.

I mean, I do have on a puffy. bathing suit and a rash guard, but I don't think that's. going to keep me from injury. So you're going to go. you're going to pace yourself. I'm going hard. But you know, Rhett, hard. which is just kind of limp, which is. not as hard as some people. Well, I'm glad you at. least understand that. Oh, gosh. Okay, now. slide on the yellow part. Yeah. 3, 2, 1. Go.

That hurt a little bit. I don't know. I really don't know how to determine this. I mean, we didn't go the full length. I gained a little confidence for later rounds. I keep kind of get the wind knocked out of me. Now that I'm starting to talk, I got something else knocked. Oh, really? I don't feel great.

You got to hit chest first. I hit this part first. Chesticles. Not testicles. But we did make it. one complete slide. But not two lengths. My jaw is even hurting. I think I hit my freaking. You're. the one that got hurt, not me. Okay. I don't know how to judge this, but I feel like it was just such a short thing. that this would get. very old very quickly. I don't think we can say that the slip in slides, no banana peels. will slip and slide. Now, everybody loves eating bacon,

but can you get the same joy that you get. from eating bacon by sliding on it's grease? That's what we aim to find out. Right now we have fried up. 30 pounds of bacon. which the mythical crew. has eaten the majority of. But all of the residual grease. has been spread on our slides. This one's got to be more slippery. than bananas, don't you think? I think so, and we call this happier than a pig and slip. Whoa! There's some big puddles at the end. You think we’re gonna get to it? I hope so.

All right. Three. Two. One. Go. It's just stuff. I got a lot further than you. I got some in my eye. You did? My eyes cooking. Oh, my goodness. For a second, I thought that it was freaking. boiling. It didn't burn me, but I. I was afraid that it was going to.

Oh, my man, I'm eating something. Wow. Not only did we slide. an impressive length. I mean, especially me. You made it the majority of the way. Like 75%. I made it like 60%. I think that's good enough. to declare bacon grease. Will it slip and slide? Yes, sure. We're wearing these fresh sets of rash guards, but there's really no way to escape. a little chafing when slipping and slide. unless you're doing it on. Gold Bond Medicated Powder.

Not a sponsor. But we do have 25. pounds of gold bond medicated. powder on each one of these slides. Oh, yeah, we should go crotch first, right? Yeah. Get as much crotch in it as you can. No, you should not. Of course not. All right. We're protecting our nose. and eye orifices. Let's do it. Just keep your mouth orifice closed. what's going to happen? It's just powder. I kind of feel like the slide. is going to crumble up right here at the beginning. It might launch us all the way to.

Tujunga. Oh, yeah. All right. You do the count this time. Three. Two. One. Go! I brought my slide with me. I feel a little chafe somewhere.

Oh, I can't see. Where's the. Where's Tujunga? This is this is the end. Come back here. Okay, so. we crumpled our slides. That's no fun. Once you crumple your slide, everybody just goes home. Yeah, this is a big fail, but the cloud was pretty cool. You look awesome. Yeah, you look like powder. You're greyer than me now. Hold on a second.

Gold Bond. will it slip it slide? No. now the internet is filled with weird challenges, but we're not dumb enough. to put tide pods in our mouth. We are dumb enough, however, to put them on a slip a slide. Actually, I think this is a brilliant idea. Yeah, we've covered this whole thing. and not only tide pods. but liquid tide. How could this not. be a slippery, slippery sensation of...

...awesomeness? Now we got to. We got to make it all. All the way to the end. And if you get every tide. pod that you take with you, you get to take home. So keep that in mind a little prize. Yeah. All right. Okay. I'm going hard on this one, Link. I'm going hard. like I've never gone hard. Stop saying hard. I'm going for it. Is it better? I'm going to go. really intensely. Okay? Okay. Woo! Three, two.

One! Yeah. We did it. That's a freaking slip and slide. The only reason I stopped. is because I left the track. Whoa. That was satisfied. Oh. How many tide pods did you get? Four. - Yeah you could have a... - I forgot.

Woo! Okay, that was incredibly slippery. and slidey. We actually busted a few of them along the way. Yeah that's nice. Now we're just going. to lay out our laundry for the next run. No, I think we have something nastier. But first tide pod. will it slip and slide? Yes. Slip and slide is really only fun when you're doing it. with your favorite chuff, not you actual fish. Chomp. I'm talking about covering this thing in fish. guts, which we've done. Yes, we have the rejected.

parts of tuna, sardines, jellyfish, salmon, mackerel and sea clams. And we call this one. the Fish-N-Slips. Now, we have nose plugs. in right now so that it doesn't go up our nose. But we spotted a second ago, it is just smell like fish vomit. It's horrible. Which I've never smelt before. I've never seen a fish vomit. Never been at the presence of one. Now, like, I'll give you a dollar. if you make it all the way through the salmon heads. A whole dollar. Yeah. Gee. Thanks, chum.

This is horrifying. Okay, let's do it. Oh, we could do it. Oh. Oh, okay. Let's just keep your mouth. closed. Yeah. Here we go. Three. Two. One. Go!

Well, I give you a dollar. You made it, man. We both made it. Woohoo! I'm so grateful that I cannot smell myself. right now. I don't think I'm ever going. to take this nose plug off. I can taste it a little bit though. A little bit. Got into my mouth. Oh, I got in your mouth just a teeny bit. Oh my goodness. How does it smell. over here, guys? I think Ellie's vomiting. Ellie’s going up in the corner. That's a sign of success.

Okay. Hey, that works man. It was both made it past the salmon. You've got it all in your mustache. Yeah. Oh, my gosh. Just save it for later. Yeah. All right. Fish guts. Will it slip and slide? Yes. All right, now you know exactly what to do. with your summer slip and slide. Oh, my God. Gather the kids around. and get some fish. You're going to have fun. Thanks for liking, commenting and subscribing. You know what time it is?

- Put our bodies on the line - I know, man. Will we do that now? No, I don't. Even without the fish heads. I'm too. I've gotten that. much older since that point. I was already on the edge. of whether or not that was a good idea. Now I'm way past that. I'm sorry. I can't sacrifice my body in that way. I think I'm right there with you. Oh, that fish guts. I mean, that was gross. Yeah, and it did get in my mouth, but I was wearing, toe shoes.

That was just for the day. Well, I kept them after that and I thought I was going. to wear them. I never wore, and I just. I just couldn't bring myself to do that. To be that type of person. Thanks for bringing yourself. to this marathon. So it's over? It's over. And Good Mythical Summer’s over. All of this decoration. We don't need it anymore. We don't need it. - We don't need, - Oh gosh, is he gonna... If you don't need that thing anymore. You’re going to break the sand castle?

Don't need that thing. That was heavy a thing. It's heavier than I thought. I wonder, do we need this? What about this? Not necessarily. Do we need these? These are nice. We'll keep these, okay? Yeah. That's hot. I mean, this is a real. This is a real thing. It's really destroys something. How hard is it? How hard is it? Well, I'm like, Knock, knock.

Who's in the house? Who’s in there. Come on, come on. Can I just... Don't ask me. What about that? Don't ask me. Don't ask me. Oh no no no no. It's hard. Yeah. It's gonna, it's gonna really take a... All right, all right. We're gonna see you on Monday for the premiere of 28. It's our new show. Yeah, yeah. Used to be Good Mythical Morning. Just go by the numbers now. All right. We ready? Yeah. I'm so ready to see you do this.

Don’t miss the new episode of Wonder Hole this Sunday at 2 p.m. eastern, 11 a.m. Pacific on the Rhett and Link YouTube. channel, or streaming early. An ad free exclusively on Mythical society. Now that we're out here in the middle of nowhere, you think maybe I could. give it a go? Give it a go? Yeah, give it a go. That's crazy.

It’s so loud. What is wrong with you? I just pulled it like you did. Maybe we can get used to it.
