Sarah and your brother, we're gonna send you Mythical T-shirts. Yeah. - And today is the last day that you can submit a super note. and help Team Mythical Beast be respected by that. - It's not too late, people do it.
- Be respected by the world. - Happy Halloween, everybody, and happy harvest. If you're not into the whole Halloween thing, that's okay. There's no judgment here. - There's something different. There's something different about you Link. - I'm sitting on your right. - That's what it is. - It's very weird sitting over here. Oh, and we're also in a two-headed, two armed, three-legged monster costume. That's the other thing that's different. - Oh, I keep forgetting that. - Yeah, it wasn't built for me. to be accommodated on my side of the table, so.
We gotta do this. - It being, Halloween we thought we would. put on our Halloween costume. which is actually just a prop from our new video. on our main channel to spot the differences video. This is sans the pig noses and long nose that. we didn't feel like putting on. - Are you creeped out? Are you ready to hear the most spooky story ever told? That's what we're gonna talk about today. We are going to tell the spookiest story ever told, but before we get into that. - You're building it up. - Well, yeah, I mean, it's in the title.
and everything it's already built up. I'm just reinforcing it. - Okay. - Before we do that we're gonna share. our most fondest Halloween memories. You go first. - Well this is not a fond memory of any kind. This is my worst memory and my earliest memory. But I thought that it was-. - Kinda warm in here. I'm sorry to cut you off, but I'm just acknowledging that fact that. - Cause it's like we're sharing a sleeping bag, essentially. This is like the time we shared it sleeping bag, oh. we're not supposed to talk about that. - I'm just kidding. - This is like-. - No comment.
- Okay, I'm gonna tell the story. about my Big Bird costume when I was three years old, Link. I think I've told this before on something, but I can't remember. So I'm gonna tell it again. because Big Bird is in the news again, at least if you're in the United States of America, because it's being talked about amidst the election footage, there's arguments about killing Big Bird off. and things like that. Well, my first costume I ever remember wearing when. I was three was a Big Bird costume, and I looked so good in this thing you would not believe.
- It definitely is appropriate. See, you were freakishly tall as a three year old. - Oh yeah. - And they said, "you know what that kid looks like?". This is your parents talking. - Big Bird. - You know what? What's that kid's name? You know, our youngest son. - Rhett? - There's only two of us. - The freakishly tall one. You know what he would be good as this Halloween. - Big Bird. - Big Bird. I'm definitely thinking Big Bird. That's look at how freakishly tall he. - That's not how it happened. I think I just said I wanna be Big Bird when I was asked. Anyway, I had to put on like nylon pants, you know those like? I think there's still, they still make costumes out of this stuff.
But the stuff that like if you light it with a lighter, like melts the child. - Yeah, I think it's just like a glorified plastic bag. - Yeah, I think. Well, I took one step out my front door tripped, hit my knee, skinned the knee. And of course just completely decimated this costume. And so it was like gimp Big Bird. And I was so embarrassed. I didn't wanna go out. And I just stayed in the living room the whole night. And I was like, "just bring me back some candy. Bring gimp Big Bird back some candy". - Gimp Big Bird.
- And they left me there three years old, left me all alone in my house. - Really? Did they bring you back candy? - I lied about that last part. My parents would've never done that. - Oh, okay. - They did bring me back candy though. - Well, I'm glad you set the record straight. - It ended well. - Well, you know the ironically we kinda approached. that Sesame Street character, that's the two head of monster. We're a different color and we speak English. I think they just spoke a gleep, gleep, glarp. - Wash the horn, thank you. - Beep, beep. (laughs). - Beep, beep. - Beep, beep, horn. Wash, wash face.
Beard, wash beard. - What's your story, Link? - I don't have any fond memories of Halloween. because then I didn't believe in celebrating it. - You were a harvest kid? - Yeah, I was a harvest kid. No, I had a lot of, I mean, I was Wiley Coyote. my first Halloween costume, but I have pictures. but I don't really remember. It was very flammable too, but it didn't catch flames. but I'll talk about my son, Lincoln. - Huh? You have a son? - Yes, one of my two sons yes. When he was three-. - I'm imagine like, I'm just your monster friend.
that we live in the same body. and I don't even know you have a son. - Yeah. We share a body. Of course we don't. - We'd probably also be both be the father. I don't know how the anatomy works. down to the bottom of this thing. - Down in the midsection. - Yeah, let's just move on. - So Lincoln, what I think we decided. to get him the venom costume for Halloween, but what my kids would call it was the black Spider-Man. I don't think that's the politically correct term for it. - That's was Donald Glover, was the almost black Spider-Man. - You mean Danny Glover? - No, Donald Glover, the comedian man, wake up.
You don't even know who Iceman is. - Oh, sorry. Anyway, we get the costume. We put it on Lincoln. He's three years old and we say, "Hey, look at yourself. in the mirror," we had a full length mirror. He goes up to the mirror. And immediately when he sees himself, his whole body goes. into like this convulsion of fear. And he runs away, rips the costume off. and refuses to even look at it. He cannot look at what he calls black Spider-Man. to this day, which is yeah. Which I need to really help him with that because-.
- You should make him be black Spider-Man. just to get over the fear. - Well, I tried to help him get over the fear, fast forward a few years, last year he was six years old. We got him-. We let him pick out anything you wanted at Party City. And I said, get something scary, get something scary. And he said, "oh, okay.". And he got the Scream mask. - [Rhett] Oh, okay. - [Link] Get the scream. - [Rhett] Oh, okay dad. - Right the Scream mask from the movie "Scream.". And there was one, if you like pushed a pump. blood would come down over the mask.
- You shouldn't let him get that. - He didn't get that one. He just got the straight up Scream mask. - Shouldn't have let him get that either. - We bring it home and he's in his room. And I had the stuff in like the Party City bag at the door. And I pulled out the Scream mask and I put it on. and I run into his room and I'm like (screams). - And he's like, "Whoa, whoa, whoa.". - And he totally, he totally freaked out. Ran outta the, ran at me and just started scratching me. like a cat with mange. - He attacked you?
- Yeah, ripped the mask off my face. So I was like, "It's just me. It's just me.". - I'm glad he didn't run. I'm glad he attacked you. You're teaching him well. - We had to return the costume and I said. "I'm not buying you another one.". I didn't buy him a costume. He had to wear like a Batman costume. from like a year earlier. Yeah, I mean he picked it out. - Yeah, it's his fault. Okay, all right. Those were two great stories. Now-. - Boy, they were weren't they? - Yes they were. I feel the need cause we're in costume to act. like I'm on a children's program. and say things like this guys. - Okay, kids now it's time to hear the.
most spookiest story ever told. That's never been told. It's never been written. It's never been thought up. Here's what we're gonna do. - Okay. - We're gonna take-. - You tell them, what is your name in this costume, Link? - Yeah, just Link. - You tell them Link. - I am going to say a line. - Ooh! - Listen to me! - Okay. - I'm gonna share a line of the story. Then you're gonna share the next line. We don't know what we're gonna say. And then we're gonna piggyback off. of each other and build the most spookiest story ever told. Is this clear? - I realized I shoulda been talking. with my hands the whole time you were talking.
- Right, because we only have two hands. - Yeah, it's but it's too late now. - We start now. - Yeah. - Okay, so let's get ready and let's do this. Are you ready? - How does it work? - [Link] The spookiest story ever told. - Little Tommy was all alone in the woods. - Was that a complete sentence? Yes. And he was searching. for his sister who had just a few minutes earlier. ran to the woods to tinkle.
(laughs). - He was listening for the sound of the pitter patter. of the tinkling on the floor of the woods. And he heard it. But when he arrived at it was not his sister tinkling. - You did it, it's my turn. He approached slowly. and saw what the non tinkling sound was. And it was blood. - Blood?
Can I keep the cup there cause I have an idea. - No, I'll say it again. Yes, it was blood dripping from high above, somewhere. - Coming from the dismembered head of a goat. that had been the victim. of some sort of weird sacrifice from the neighbor Trevor. - Ah, yes, bad, bad spooky Trevor, who only came out to feed his goats,
but we never knew that it would go this far. - So Tommy said, "I have a choice to make. I can call the police to say, to issue an Amber alert. on my sister, but that has to be 24 hours. that've had to pass. So it doesn't apply. Or I can call the police and tell them. about...". - "Trevor or the third option would be to go.
to Trevor's house at 3:00 AM. And that's what I'm going to do," he said. - And so he approached Trevor's house. following the stream of goat blood. And on the way in the backyard. he saw many other little cute animals that had. been dismembered and it was very gross and spooky. And he said to himself. "Someone should really, Trevor needs help. Trevor needs to see someone.". (laughs). - And then Trevor laughed like that.
That was him laughing, not me because he was. at the door seeing the whole thing unfold. And he said to himself, "Hmm, look at that, Tommy.". (laughs). He kept laughing like that. - He's not a goat, so I won't harm him. I don't want it to get too bad here at the end. - And then Tommy screamed, "Trevor, you need some sort.
of psychiatric treatment, immediately. And by the way, have you seen my sister?". - He's like, "Oh yeah, she's inside. We're sacrificing goats together.". The end. - And that is the spookiest story ever told. There you have it. And for those of you who weren't spookafied away. it is time to end the show with the Mythical Wheel. which is gonna be difficult to grab. - Well, you usually pick that up.
- It's right down. Jason, can you help with the wheel. - No, no, I got this. I got it. - You're gonna hurt yourself, man. I really can't help you here. It goes the other way, man. Like don't let go of it. - [Rhett] Let's just leave it right here in front of us. - No, just put it back there. - Jason help us out. - Put it behind us. - Okay, here we go. - Sorry about that. Tried something and failed. (wheel clicking). - Oh, he spun it too. - Well. Yeah, I spun it. I think I spun it the other way. - You spun it? How did you do that?
- I spun it with your hand right here. Didn't you feel me spinning the wheel? - I can't tell. - Monster left half. - I can't see it. - Oh, almost the red square or whatever that is, it's not a square. Rhett and Link exchange gifts. - Oh well. - Well, Rhett I've got something I want to give you. - Yep, what is it? - You know that I'm a very gifted public speaker. and it's time for me to give that up. I want to endow you with my gift of public speaking.
So here you go. You got anything from me? - Like a metaphysical kind of gift. - But yeah, see, listen, you're speaking and it's publicly it's working. - Huh? I got you this little bird that's in a nest. Put that somewhere on your person, of course would be putting it on my person. So let's put that on our person. - Doesn't seem like kind of a fair trade here. - Congratulations. ♪ Do your business ♪. ♪ Zip up ♪. ♪ And then dispense this ♪. ♪ Little bit of paper towel ♪.
