The Secret to Never Losing Your Keys

we've got some interesting methods to. help you never lose your keys again. let's talk about that good mythical. morning okay got a call the other day. while we were at work it was from my. wife. my wife was at your house with my wife. and all of the children's work kids. we're together and which this happens on. occasion they're good friends and they.

like the kids like to play together. they're not it's not just for show a lot. people think it might just be for show. but it's actually a real relation but. they were supposed to be home the real. relationship was supposed to be over. well at that point you were there was my. wife I could meet me at my house and we. carpool back home you take me drop me. off in my house and then go on to your. house but my wife called me she said I. need you to just come all the way over. to Lynx house and after going to your. house to get my keys to the car because. she says we've been locked out of the.

car we think what happened is his lock. went out to the car to get a nerf. blaster and Goergen he locked the keys. in the car. and his name is lock which is it makes. it equally or even more embarrassing. than it could be other way well let's. just say ironic and so something about. something about that didn't make sense. to me because his name is lock and I. think he is pretty conscious about not. locking things in places that hasn't. really done that and he says I kind of. remember bringing the keys back in but.

they thought well maybe you drop them. along the way so we get there and. they've looked everywhere for an hour. they can't find the keys they've ruled. out every location except the car but. when you get there read the key you. unlock the door. these said keys that supposedly were. locked in there not not in there so. we're like okay well I mean we can't. stay here forever the needles got to eat. they got to go to bed we got to leave we. actually we you actually stayed for. dinner I did stay for dinner but it. sounded better I was like I got to eat. we got to leave let's eat with him and. then let's leave they got to sleep we.

don't want to sleep there let's leave. you got a mooch then you got to leave so. we left and then you know there's like a. 15-minute drive back home and well and. you're like you got all there's all. these keys on your ring it's like what. are you gonna do it's not just the one. key but it's a spell. kind of key and they can also very large. for the grocery stores man you don't. want to replace my things so anyway we. get about halfway home and Shepherd my. five year old goes huh I hear a gasp am. i huh he found the keys and then I.

turned back there in his I look at him. in the rearview and his eyes are big. he's like I remember where the keys are. oh we didn't find him you ruined where. they were I remember where the keys are. they're in Lincoln's diarrhea and this. would be my eight-year-old son I'm like. yeah oh they're in his diarrhea what in. what was going on with the moms I mean. what was happening at the house. it's things get out of control nobody. told us about it i areia that many kids. in one place and then Jesse goes oh you.

mean Lincoln's diary which just just to. defend my son a little bit he doesn't. have a diary he has a journal he has a. journal but Lando and Shepherd found his. diary on which they which they think. that was their way of referring to his. journal and they found some keys on the. floor that Locke had brought in my. wife's car keys and they were like there. are some keys here's a diarrhea let's. see if we can open up this diarrhea and. get all Lincoln's secrets. so Lando and Shepherd are up on the top.

bunk of the bed with the diarrhea it's. flowing with it they're sticking the car. keys into it I find all this out later. from Shepherd. so Shepherds like they'll be on the top. bunk and so they go to into Lando's room. and they look in the top bunk and there. are the keys in the bay area. well they didn't I don't know if they. were sticking in the diary at that time. I think they were next to the diary but. they didn't get the diarrhea open they. just they they just gave up I gave up. her trunk the keys yes and then for the. next three hours when everybody's.

looking for the keys Sheppard's like. he's know whatever he's playing he's. playing a video game he's playing. minecraft or something oh yeah I know. how that is in his own but this got me. to thinking and my wife and I we've. talked about this a number of times. about you know you need to do some. things people who lose their keys like. this guy who's a friend of mine and my. wife and I got too much there's gotta be. Matheny's there's gotta be techniques to. prevent this from happening and I. dr. maybe you could invest in many of. these okay speaking of investing this.

first one is actually result of a crowd. crowdfunding campaign is called the tile. this thing is a little piece of metal. that you can put onto your keychain and. then you can track it with an app the. tile app and it keeps up with where it. is based on Bluetooth up to 150 foot. range however if you get further than. 150 feet. it begins working through the other. people who also have the app they raise. over three million dollars in the. crowdfunding campaign and so there's. like tens of thousands of people who.

already have this app so at that point. it's going to use other people's phones. somehow it's so it's going to I think it. uses the cell phone I think actually. uses little Bluetooth and then their. connection to the social network through. the cell phone towers and then their. Bluetooth connection so if you title if. you lose your phone and don't find it. the tile or what not your phone if you. use if you lose whatever the tile is. attached to and it cannot communicate. with your phone then it's going to try. to find anybody to then be adopted by.

please anyone who runs us out but no but. you you sign up like a honor code or. some somehow or it's like if you have a. search party like Kristy and each of the. kids could have taken all these they. would have found it instantly they would. have gone in all these places in fact. that's pretty cool and the tile looks. cool I would kind of like to order one. of those because this is a problem for. me now but if you don't want to get that. high-tech you could go what is kind of. the old school method for tracking. something the guardian angel child. tracker. I said child tracker because that's how.

they they advertise this thing this is. something you put on your kid to keep up. with your kid but it basically is just a. little ladybug it looks like a keychain. you could just throw this thing on. anything into ladybugs you could put it. on put it on my wife's earrings that. could be earrings that would that's an. interesting look and why would you want. to keep you need to keep up with it I. just I just I should get lost all I like. she go shopping and like she I she and. it's to section is she in the furniture. section I got to keep an eye on that. woman you good texture you say where are. you now if I've lost my phone but I'll.

have that handy dandy you're gonna have. child shocker I'll be that I'm going. around target like and my wife this last. one is. she's the one with the ladybug earrings. oh yeah this is the most low-tech. solution this is simply a sparrow key. ring with birdhouse this is just a. little bird that you put onto your. keychain that has a little house and so. every time you do where to put it's a. glorified key holder but I actually like. this one because I'm I would be very.

motivated to let the bird find its home. you know I I can look at this Nestle's. right in and go it's like a reward - oh. look the little bird is home and. everybody's happy and of course now I. know where my key is gonna be it's going. to be dangling from that bird's foot. yeah but then you're the guy with a. little pink bird on his keychain I guess. you could get other colors you could dip. it in some paint if it doesn't fit good. coming but pink I get a black bird I've. worked up a few options of my own. because this is this is a problem of.

yours I'd say yeah twenty percent of the. time when we get ready to go since. you're the one who drives a car on in. our carpool you're like where my keys at. right and I was I actually had my I. tried the carabiner thing the one that. says not to be used with actual rock. climbing yeah it's just used as a. keychain you attach to your person and. I'm now reaching for it and I don't have. it or your keys I don't I don't know. where they're on a carabiner somewhere. besides hook to my belt loop when they. don't I mean we're a few weeks ago here. in the office now as a few months ago I.

lost my keys and we look for him for. like an hour two hours and then fine. they were found in a drawer that I've. never opened it's like how do I mean how. does that it's like my keys you open it. to put him in there all right no I don't. know what it's like the drawer was. magically open they fell in. so carabiners don't work for me but you. could do what the restaurants do you. know how when you like going to a. Chipotle in like downtown LA or.

somewhere and they don't want people. going and out in I already got to have. the ring but if you're gonna go in a. Sharky's bathroom you gotta have to you. got to have this special key ring with. the key on it was attached to a spoon. spoon I think is the keep the key part. of the key ring first time I got one of. these I I was like well I know what to. do with the key in the bathroom I don't. know what to do with the spoon in the. bathroom that's when you're giving them. a sample. yeah you guys want a sample just like a. drug test I'm some kind I'm I've. seriously considered doing the whole.

janitor keyring thing I'll keep this out. here just to keep your still consider I. would not like that one like a big ones. and you can put it on something where. it'll attach to your person and ring out. find the right one put anything and then. it'll it'll suck I can't I would never. even cool patches even cooler and I know. where you are at all times I hear you. coming like you'd be ringing your little. bell and baby oh here he comes and then. as you get older and you start losing. your mind I'll you know I'm already done. I'm already there brother you need a big.
