Testing The Internet's Weirdest Products
- We bought some of the weirdest products on the internet. - Let's talk about that. (singers vocalizing) (upbeat whimsical music). Good Mythical Morning. - With the internet being a lawless, godless place, we get a lot of strange products for sale. shoved into our algorithms. - Yeah, like, why do I keep getting ads. for sweat-wicking thongs? - Well, I don't know. 'cause I- - It doesn't make any sense.
- I've never received any of those. Okay, what if some of those weird products. were actually useful? Let's find out. It's time for "A Journey to the Island of Misfit Products.". - Today, I have the final say. If we like a product, we're gonna put it in this box. for Rhett's birthday, which is coming up in a few weeks. - It is. - Uh-huh. You're only getting older, buddy. And I'm gonna give it to you. as a gift on your actual birthday. - But won't that kind of ruin the surprise.
because I'm gonna see all these gifts, and then it won't be. a special day for me. - Don't worry. I got that covered. - Okay, well, lucky for me, Megan did the research. on all these products, not Link. - [Megan] That's right. First up is an eye moisturizer for $179. - An eye moisturizer. - Oh, I've been to market. for this, a dry eye boy. - [Megan] Okay. - Well, then you put that on. - [Megan] Well, it's for. dry or tired eyes, put the goggle on, and it sprays steam to moisturize them. But before you do that, we got to make sure your eyes are properly irritated.
- Oh, my eyes. are always irritated. (Megan laughs). - [Link] Yeah. - [Megan] All right. Nevermind. - Yeah, my eyes are always a little bit dry. I do get them treated. They would be a lot worse. - Oh. So your eyes are open in there, right? - Oh, yeah. My eyes are, like, trying to eat the air. They're blinking to grab and pull in the moisture. - [Link] Oh, yeah, I can see. - Is there menthol in that? - I would hope not. - I hope not. (crew laughing). - What does it feel like? - You know, like, if you're driving in the fog. and you can't see,
and you think if you stick your head out the window. it'll help? - [Link] Yeah. - That is one thing. Another thing is-. - Is this screwing you up? - Do you remember when I used to get the croup. when I was a kid, or you would get the croup. and your mama would put the steam shower. and take you in there and hold you? Well, my mama did that. - Oh, that's sweet. - It feels like that. I feel like I'm being caressed by my mother right now. - My mom would always put a humidifier by my bed, and I was sleeping. - She's a smart lady. Yeah, you got to have a humidifier. - But she would never change the filter, and I got a little crazy. - Oh, it's getting hot. It's getting hot.
- [Link] It looks like you're on fire. (crew laughing). - I think this is good. I think moisturizing your eyes and-. - 20 minute, 30 minute. There's a 40-minute timer. on this thing. - Right, put it on 40. and relax. - You haven't even gone 10 minutes, but you can take it off. - Okay. All right. Well, let me just tell you right now, I like that and my wife will love it on the bedside table. (crew laughing). - Yeah, it's beautiful. - So... - [Megan] Well, how do your eyes feel now? Because I tried these out. - So wet. - [Megan] Okay. I felt more irritated after. - I am so wet. right now, Megan.
- [Megan] All right. Good to know, boss. - Unplug that. So what I'm gonna do is just... - Yes, thank you. Thank you. That goes in my box. - Put that in there. I didn't break it. What's next? - [Megan] Ready for the next one? It's meat shredder claws. - Oh, I love these. I've seen these on the internet. - [Megan] For 14.99. They're made of stainless steel. and claim to easily shred pork, beef, and other meat. - Oh, you're gonna make me do this to a brisket? I want to do this to a pork butt, but I'll do it to a brisket. Sorry, Texas. (Megan laughs).
- [Megan] It also has a bottle opener on the side. - [Rhett] Oh, gosh. Look at that, Link. I'm shredding brisket. - Because you want to drink a beer bottle. when you're shredding. your pork or brisket. - [Rhett] Oh, look at that. - I guess you could... Do people shred brisket? - Yup, you can. You can. I mean, look at that. - [Link] I mean, you're like meat Wolverine. - [Rhett] You got to get some of that. Grab some of that. - Oh, my God. - I mean, typically, yeah, you can do this to brisket. Some people like a shaved brisket. I mean, shredded brisket sandwich. I mean, I made such short work of that.
- Mm-hmm. That is good because otherwise what are you doing? Using forks? - Hand. You're just going in with hands. - All right. But this is more efficient than-. - Y'all are gonna like this, aren't you? I can... I can already tell. - [Megan] Our mouths are watering. - All right. I know you want this for your birthday. - I'm gonna keep that brisket. nice for y'all. - LOPE & NG! - Okay, I'm gonna hand this carefully back. so you can all enjoy that brisket.
- I could give it to him, but no, I'm gonna mail him this big box. What's next? - [Megan] All right, next product is on the other side. of the set, but you can stay there. We have a remote control crocodile head boat. for 39.99. - Oh, yes! I've been looking for these. - So that's what this remote is for. Put it in your pool. - [Megan] Yeah, it can spray water from its mouth. and has RGB lights. Its two main uses are to scare children. and birds away from ponds. - I like it when the birds come to my pool.
- [Megan] Yeah, I don't know why people. would want to not have birds. - But I don't like it when kids get in my pool. - [Megan] Random kids? - I just like friends of our kids. - [Megan] Showing up. - Yeah. - The turning radius is a bit wider than the... Oh, yeah, here we go. Yeah. Look at that. And what does this button do? Oh, oh, sorry. Sorry, crew. - Wow, that was quite a squirt. - He sprayed. He sprayed. All right. - Well, that could be lots of fun.
I'll tell you that right now. - And when he's really going, you can't see that there's no body. - I'm gonna have to darken the bottom of my pool. to make this joke really work, though. Otherwise it just looks like a disembodied head. - [Megan] Worth it. - You know? - So you don't think you like this? - I'm leaving this up to you. I mean, darkening my pool bottom, (Link sighs). that's gonna be quite a project. I don't know if it's worth it for this singular joke. - Yeah, I don't think you want this floating in your pool. We're gonna leave it in that pool. I'm rejecting that one. - [Rhett] Okay. All right.
- [Link] Turning radius isn't great. anyway, Megan. - [Rhett] I'm fine. I'm fine. I'm fine. - [Megan] Okay, next up you have. the Mouth of Truth hand massager for 99.99. It's modeled after the ancient Roman sculpture. It's not only a heated massager. Oh! (massager laughs maniacally) It's done. - What? - [Megan] It's a heated massager to ease stress and pain, and it also laughs at you when you stick your hand in. - But why is it... I mean, look at this. It's just a thing that you just... (crew laughing). I mean, it's not even part of it. - [Megan] You're ruining the illusion. - But why? I mean, yes, I've seen these massagers,
but what is this modeled after? - [Megan] The ancient Roman sculpture, the Mouth of Truth. - Which really exists? - [Megan] Which exists in Rome, and when you stick your hand in it in Rome, supposedly, if you're a liar, it bites your hand off. (massager laughs maniacally). - Oh! Next, tell a lie. Tell a lie right now. - I've never gotten an ad for a sweat-wicking thong. (crew member laughs). I get them all the time.
- Is it still massaging? - No, it stopped. I've never gotten an ad for a sweat-wicking thong. - Is it cutting your hand off? You don't-. - [Rhett] It's cutting the circulation off. - It's squeezing that hard? - No, but I like it. I like when my hand's squeezed, you know? It's like a hand massage, but it's a little imprecise. It's like somebody with just two giant thumbs, okay? You want somebody to kind of work each finger. - So it's a suboptimal massage.
with a cheap Roman theme. (massager laughs maniacally). - This part is offensive. (crew laughing). Like, do they sell this to people who've, like, they're going and sticking their hand in the Mouth of Truth. and then they're tourists and they're like, "What are we gonna get to remember this place by? Oh, they're selling these hand massagers.". - Oh. - [Crew Member] Is it offensive because it looks like you? (crew laughing). - Listen, not every single person with long hair.
and a beard looks like me. - [Megan] Wait, Link. - Quit sending those videos. on social media. - Stick your hand. in his mouth. - It looks like you, dude. - People send me pictures of all these, like, Roman statues. like, "Oh, that's Poseidon.". - It's quite a compliment, right? - Yeah. I mean, I guess it's great. I'll take it. But listen-. - You'll take this? No, you'll take the compliment. - You know what? Just let me keep this. - Yeah, you keep that. I think I'll keep this. - I'll keep the mask. - All right. Yeah. I'm not giving him that. - [Megan] Okay, next we have a portable nasal therapy device.
for 32.99. - Oh. - [Megan] It uses infrared technology. to provide relief from nasal congestion, runny nose, and nasal irritation. - [Rhett] Oh, I like this. I've got a deviated septum. - Okay. - I've got a slightly deviated-. - Oh, it's tight. - Hold on, but how am I gonna... - Oh. - Ah! Your whole nose just got red, Rudolph. (crew laughing). - Really? - Oh, God. I'm, like, seeing your sinuses.
- Really? Are you? Are you seeing? - Yeah, you can't see it on the monitor, but, like, I can see your whole... This is all bright right now. - Wow. - You got a thin nose. Maybe that's how everybody's noses are. - It's going deep. - Does it feel hot? Does it feel like-. - It's just really uncomfortable. - How does this work? It's just red light is supposed. to make things happen in there? Do you feel... I know you like things that are decongesting. Like you've got some... - I think this is hoo-doo.
- Some menthol things that you stick around. - I think this is woo. And I mean, it does want to come. Oh, okay. Yeah, you're doing a little dimming. Look at how... - I mean, the red light is a real thing, though. Like, red light helps with different things. I don't know if it helps with inside your nose. Do you feel anything at all like-. - Discomfort. - Just from the pinch? - Yeah. And I don't feel anything else. - Okay, well, I kind of don't want it now. because it's been up your nose anyway, and you're not supposed to mix inside nose stuff. with other people.
- I definitely know that I don't want. one of those septum piercings, but I do want you to have this. (crew laughing). - Okay. Well. - Time will clean it. - All right, next. - [Megan] Next we have the FaceOn beautywear for $35. So for this, you put it on over your head. after you've put on makeup and hair products, and it stops it from transferring onto your clothes. when you put your clothes on after. - Put the makeup on first. - So we have some makeup. for you to put on. - e.l.f. makeup. - Yes, it's from e.l.f. - Is that a brand,
or is that the type of thing that you make yourself into? Multi-stick. So where does that go? - [Megan] It's a brand. - Everywhere? - [Megan] Everywhere. - Oh, you're looking so vibrant. Oh, what? (crew member laughing). - [Megan] Interesting. - And now what you don't want to do. is you don't want to put on a shirt. and wipe your makeup off and get it on your shirt. - [Megan] Yeah, we got white T-shirts for you. - So put this on.
- [Rhett] Okay. God. I mean, is this really worth it? This is something that happens? - [Megan] Yeah. - Because I mean, I though you just grab the neck. and go like this, stretch it over like that. See, that didn't hit nothing. - [Megan] Well, it didn't hit anything. because you were in the bag. - [Link] And now you can take the thing off. - Oh, that's pretty. (crew applauding and cheering). That's pretty. - We have an enthusiastic response. Whoops!
- I look like a chef. - Let me try it. - I look like a Swiss chef for a moment. - I mean, I just want to walk around with this. - Yeah. You kind of look like... - [Link] Got to put another T-shirt on. - Like a bride from a horror movie, you know? That doesn't happen a lot anymore. The veils, people aren't doing veils anymore. - I do. - [Megan] People are doing veils, just not over their face. - I do. Give me a kiss. - [Rhett] Oh, God. - Let's consummate.
- I do not want to consummate. - I want to consummate. - It looks like hair at this point. - My mom may want one of these. She's got an entire room. that's a ready room where she gets ready. - If you... - She's got a ready table. She's got a ready mirror. She's got a ready room. She's got a ready stool. - If you give this to me for my birthday, I'll re-gift it to your mom. - Okay. - And I'll put the multi in there. because I know she likes that. Is that cool? - See, but now I'm going to take this off. - I missed, so I guess I'll just get it.
- I'm gonna get all the makeup on the shirt just to show. Well, I guess I did get. Yeah, I got some makeup on it. - Okay. - That's what you wear to prevent, mom. - [Megan] Okay. Head on over to the multi. - Oh. - Oh. What happens when we try to guide both of our families. through the New York City subway? - Well, you can find out in our exclusive vlog. over on the Mythical Society. - Okay. - [Megan] Okay. Next up, we have a full-body dryer for 89.99. Link, you actually might want to keep this one.
It's for getting extra dry after the shower. in those hard-to-reach places. - Yes. It's so perfect that today's kilt day. - Yeah. So we can test this out. - [Megan] To test out the dryer, you got to get wet first. - Oh, yeah. Bring me that remote control. - Can you hold this for me? - Oh, God, did you take your underwear off? - [Megan] Did you just wipe your face with it? - No. - You got some... Yeah, I want to really feel what's happening.
Oh! Oh! Whoo! Wait, wait. Let me bend over. - Okay. Hold on. I was trying to... Okay, guys. - This is just for your eyes only. David, I guess you get to see this, too. - Oh, God. (crew laughing). (Link giggling). (crew laughing). - Sorry about that, bud. - Oh, God, that was awful for me. (crew laughing). - Your aim was impeccable. - Yeah. Listen, they call me the bidet. - All right, so now I am dripping. - [Megan] I'm apologizing to the editing team.
in advance. - Whoa! Whoa! Whoo! This is amazing. - Okay. All right. Is it working? - Yeah. - There's a part of me. that feels like this whole, like, full-body drying thing. is sort of your thing. - Yeah, yeah, yeah. - [Rhett] I feel like if you-. - You're not getting this. - If I give this to you, you give this to me, I give this to you. - Christy is gonna be hating me.
- Yeah. My wife wouldn't put up with this. - [Link] Oh. - [Rhett] I do kind of want to feel the sensation. a little bit though. - And then... I mean, I'll be brushing my teeth. - I mean, I don't have underwear on anyway. - I'll be fixing my hair. - I didn't wear underwear today. because you're not supposed to wear underwear with kilts. I didn't know a kilt would just stay down. - How much does this cost? - [Megan] This is 89.99. - Oh, dang. Okay.
Yeah. I want that. Hey, got an idea. Bring out the brisket and the remote for the alligator. - The remote's right there. - Okay. Here you go. We got to keep this guy. - Y'all ate all the rest of the brisket already? - You ever seen him feed an alligator? They usually do it with turkey. He's in a frenzy. (crew laughing). - [Rhett] Boy, he's resilient.
- [Crew Member] Oh, God. - [Rhett] Wow. Look at him. He doesn't slow down. Man, that's a greasy brisket. - He squirts good. All right. I changed my mind. You're getting this. - [Rhett] Okay. - [Megan] Okay. Bring him back to the desk. - Whoa! I am not completely dry down there. Maybe I need to use that yoni steamer. - [Megan] I don't think that's this episode. - That is not prescribed.
- [Megan] All right. Next up we have-. - Put it on your face and your yoni. A what? - [Megan] We have aerogel. It's marketed as the lightest material on Earth. - [Rhett] I've heard about this. - It's a silica-based material. consisting of up to 99.8% air. and has been used by NASA to capture space dust. We got it for 22.99. - It's hard but light. - What? - Oh, my God. - What?
- I though it would be like gel, but it's hard. It feels like-. - It's completely-. - Styrofoam almost, but... - [Link] Oh, my gosh. This is the lightest material? - [Megan] Supposedly. - Can you eat it? - [Megan] No. - It completely disintegrates if you smush it. - Check this out. - It feels so velvety. - I'm gonna put. this glove on. - This is wild. - So I can't feel. - What's the price? - [Megan] 22.99. - That's expensive. Because then what do you do with it? What we're doing? Wow, and then it's over.
- [Megan] Can you put a price on beautiful memories? - Quit ruining it. Okay. I want you to tell me... How much did you say it was? - $22. - I want you to tell me when you put it in my hand. I mean, I want you to put it in my hand, and I'll tell you when you put it in my hand. (crew laughing). - Okay. - Well, that felt pretty obvious. - Hold your hand in more level.
- [Rhett] In? - I mean, 'cause it is-. - Are you dropping it? Just place it. - I'm trying to place it. I'm trying to place it. - Place it. - [Link] I'm shaking though. - I feel nothing. - All right. It was there, and I'll put another one. - Do you think we could set the world record. for the most aerogel lifted? (crew laughing). - I mean, look at that stuff. - Look, I didn't... The only ones I felt were the ones. in which you, like, did that. - It's a phenomenon.
- But there's no weight to it at all. - They collect space dust. with this stuff? - [Megan] Yes, basically. - This is cool, man. - [Megan] We have some other light materials. if you want to compare it. - I think you would want to put this on a shelf somewhere. - Okay. Here. - In your home. - I'm gonna put-. - The boy's got so many shelves in his home. You wouldn't believe that either. - What you want to do here is I want you to put... I'm gonna close my eyes. You put one light object in one hand.
and one aerogel in the other hand, and I'll tell you which hand weighs more. - All right. - And I don't know which is which. Tell me what I'm supposed to be thinking. Are they in? - Yeah. Which one's heavier? - Right hand.
Sorry, aerogel. - Heavier than a feather. But I mean, was it demonstrably heavier? - It was really 50/50, honestly. - [Megan] There was a little corruption in that test, I will say. - There was corruption? - [Megan] There was corruption. - [Link] I don't know what you mean by that. - Okay. Well, I don't know. - This is very cool though. Put the piece in here. - I want this. I want this so I can do more experiments. - I mean, it's just nice to, like, when people come over and it's like, "Close your eyes, and I'm gonna put something in your hand.".
It's already there. - Yeah, it's NASA. - [Megan] Maybe don't do that with strangers. - Yeah, people who are over for the second time. - Okay? Now what? - [Megan] Okay. - I really want. to bite it. - [Megan] Don't do that. - You can eat a little bit, just a little bit. - Nope. Nope. - [Megan] You can do whatever you want. - We're not. - [Megan] Just not on camera. - Okay. - [Megan] Okay. Our last product is on the other side of the set, if you can make your way over. - All right. - Okay. - [Megan] All right. We got the Hunkerin Stool for 137.99.
It is a deep squat stool to combat poor posture, tight hips, and back pain. - Mm-hmm. - Okay. Well... - Maybe you should do it away from camera. - I'd like for you to flash it. - Well, can I... I feel like if I... Oh, it's cold. I'm so low. - [Megan] How does your back pain feel? - It feels fine in the moment.
You see what I'm saying? Like, this is pretty low. Am I supposed to be on my laptop right now? - [Megan] Yeah. Some people have desks next to it or... - Really low desks? - [Megan] Yeah, really low desks. - 'Cause I can see it just like, "Hey, let's just have a conversation. Get down here with me.". - I mean, doing a deep squat, that's... - That's good. Oh, God. - Sorry. Sorry. Okay. I'm gonna put this back on now. - [Crew Member] Did you just see.
the world's second lightest material? - Carney, you stinker. - I am scarred for a while. It's been probably 15 years since I've seen that thing. And boy... - [Megan] That feels untrue. - [Rhett] I need a moment. And it's always accidental. Okay. - Yeah, I got to say that wasn't completely accidental. - Okay. Okay. All right. Did you put your underwear back on? - I did, yeah. - Okay, good.
I don't know. I have been doing deep squats while watching TV lately, you know, but I've been doing this squat, this squat, just like you just watch TV. - We're really regretting wearing the kilts now, huh? - Yeah. Kilt day was a bad idea. - All right. I don't think you want this, so we're leaving it. - Okay. Okay. - Somebody's gonna have a good birthday, aren't they? - Yeah. I'm feeling pretty good. Feeling pretty good. - That's right. Of course, you can't remember any of this.
- Huh? - So just look right here. (neuralyzer flashes). - You ready to do the episode? - Thanks for being your Mythical Best. - What's on your face? - You know what time it is. - I'm Danny. - And I'm Jordan. - We're here in South Carolina. - Camping with our family at Myrtle Beach. - [Both] And it's time to spin the Wheel of Mythicality. - I know a Carolina beach when I see one. - Uh-huh. Watch out for my dad on his golf cart.
- Link has a huge announcement that he's gonna share. with all of you right now. (Link breathes deeply). - I'm never wearing a kilt again. (crew laughing). - I'm not disappointed in that. - Yeah. It wasn't good for me. - Join us in "Good Mythical More". to find out if we know what time it is. - [Link] Unlock access to our new vlogs. at mythicalsociety.com.
