Living on A Cruise Ship
Would you live on a cruise ship for 365. days a year? Don't answer that yet. Let's talk about that. [Music]. Good mythical morning. Thank you for making us a part of your. daily routine. Whether you are on land, on sea, or in the air right now. Whoa. That's wild to think about. Somebody's flying right now. Yeah. How are they watching it? superpowers.
The internet on planes is horrible. It's superpowers. Oh, it's like a superhero. Yeah. Like I don't know. I don't know. what it is. Goggles on. I just want everyone This could be seen. I hope so. Well into the future. We don't know how. far into the future when those type of. technological things happen. People are. still watching this show. It could be a hologram right now. And I want to in I want to to show that. we value you by. shake my hologram. Shaking our hands. Thank you for joining. us. Okay. Um, that was basically a segue. to say I'm going to talk about the seas,
the high seas. That was a good segue. Pirates. Um, no cruise ships. Oh, second. I have never been on a cruise ship. I've. never even like taken a tour of one. I've taken a virtual tour of some. Is that an option? Like I don't want the full package. Uh, I just want a quick tour. I just want a walk through in case I. ever want to like buy a ticket. You've. never been on a cruise ship either. Too tall. Uh, well, they. at least that's what I think. I I've had all these thoughts about why. I would rather do something else with my.
precious vacation time. Can't be in the Navy either. That's why. I haven't been on a cruise ship. But with a recent development, at least. in my psyche, given this research that. I've done, uh, I may be going on a I may be going. on a permanent cruise. extended stay. Uh, yes. All right. Cruise ship the. world. That's what it's called. the. world. I like that. Is the largest privatelyowned yacht on. the planet.
How big are we talking about? 644 feet long. That's long. 12 long. That's over two football fields. 12 decks high. I mean, this is a. bonafide cruise ship. That's tall. I think I could fit. Cost $266 million to build. It was. launched in 2002. But here's the thing. A cruise ship in general is basically. like a floating hotel. Oh yeah. This, my friend, is totally different. Okay, this is this is no cruise ship. This is. a floating gated community.
Every you just can't buy a ticket to get. on this this uh this boat. You have to. buy a condominium. Whoa. The people who own condominiums on this. thing, there's like 165. probably rich people. Very rich people. I'll go through how. much they cost uh in a few minutes if if. you're in the market. Okay. Oh yeah. Um. I'm just interested. They you know I'm just looking. I'm just. browsing. They own the boat. Okay. This boat cons. continuously circumnavigates the globe.
and stops at all different types of. places. The people they their homes are. on the boat and then they you wake up in. one place and and then you go to around. and for three days and then you go to. sleep and you wake Oh, I'm in Uruguay. now. Oh, Uruguay. That's on the stop. I'm in Ecuador now. You know, I'm in. I like that idea. How world travelers? I'm in New Zealand. Aspire to be. the coast of New Zealand. So, it's a. cruise mansion. Okay. All right. I I'm second guessing.
it. But you're you're not warming up yet. Well, I'm going to tell you why I'm. second guessing it. Because that. give me your initial thoughts. Well, my initial thought is I'm too tall. for cruise ships. The beds are too. small. But then when you say it's a. condominium, I'm like I think I king. size California king is what I might I. am. You can. Not because I'm a king of. California. Not because I live in. California, but that's a type of bed. You can you can. extra long. You can purchase a customdesigned. suite ex to your liking. Stripes. I'm talking three You want stripes?
$3,000 coffee tables. I mean, this is. I'm in. I'm in. I'm in for that. That's what you want. You know, a. California king-size coffee table. I want a marble conference table. They got marble everywhere at this. thing, man. Kanye is into that. When me and Kanye. have our business meetings, he only does. marble conference tables. All right, let let me give you some of. the prices here. You You can have. anything you want in these things. Anything. Anything. A studio is going to cost you $600,000. Watermelon any time of the year. Watermelon any you'll you'll sail.
It's not a sailboat. You'll putter along. to the wherever watermelon season. I. don't even like watermelon. I was just. asking. Two-bedroom apartment cost just under $3. million. I could do that. Two bedroom. But it's it's not just. anywhere in. real money. Actual money. We're not. talking monopoly money, right? Real real cruise money. That could be a problem. And it's you're talking about location, location, location. I'm talking about. location and location and location and. location. The location is constantly changing. Yeah. Here's the problem. Location and location. Location. I feel like I need to interject at this.
point. Hold on. World Suite. The slightly top. Okay. Is it stripes? $13.5 million for a World Suite. That's a lot for stripes. But you name. it, it's got you got it. I mean, marble. I mean, you got like marble plates. probably. Man, this is amazing. Here's my problem with this. Okay. The. other when we were at Playlist Live, you. remember we ate at the Kurabas. Remember. that? Yeah. Fine Italian D. The whole team ate at the Kurabas and we. had a very talkative waiter who would.
just volunteer a lot of information. Also had a ponytail. Yeah. Yeah. He did a little tight. ponytail. And uh as we got finished with. the meal, he he kind of came in there. He's like, "Everybody enjoy it." He's. like, "Well, two weeks and I'll be on a. cruise.". We just volunteered the information. Everybody's like, and we're like, "Quiet." We're like, "Okay, how do you respond to this? Tell us about your cruise.". And he's like, "It's a music cruise.". And by that I mean there's like a lot of. bands. Well, Phil Collins son, he's. going to be there. Like, okay. Not Phil Collins, Phil Collins son.
and some former members of Genesis. Genesis. And I was like, this sounds. like a great time now. nice guy. Sure, he's going to have a blast. I don't want. It's one thing for him to be my waiter. It's another thing for him to be my. neighbor. You You know what I'm saying? So, I when I think cruise ship, I think. about being stuck on a boat. You go up. to the buffet and there's Harvey and Liz. again and you're like, "Yeah, I keep. running into them." But it's one thing. if it's a week, but if it's just like. every day, how do you get rid of these.
people? You can't snuff them out, can. you? Well, is that one of the surfaces? Well, depending on what international waters. you may be in, then maybe I don't know. how you, you know, what what laws apply. Um, but this may change your tune. What. if I told you that a certain Arnold. Schwarzenegger. owns a suite in the cruise ship? Are you talking about the Arnold. Schwarzenegger or just a certain. I'm talking about him, man. The. governor, the boss, whatever he's called. Springsteen.
Um, Terminator. You know, that could be good. What if I. told you that one certain Madonna? Also, this is sweet. You what? You're like. sunbathing and all of a sudden you look. over there and it's Madonna. Well, she's seen better days, man. And then then uh the Terminator over. here, man. Shoot. What is this? Like it's like 1987. Well, it's like I you know, I'm just saying. it's like the Terminator in Madonna. It's like I mean, okay. All right. Hopefully. I can go to the wax museum. Hopefully, we can cut to some of this.
footage. Let me sweeten the deal a. little bit further. I I was watching. YouTube videos. I think it's like. something ripped off the ripped off the. Travel Channel, but it's like. videos from 2002. What if I told you. that they've got a fully stocked library. with any VHS tape you could want? Oh, no. I'm into that. I like VHS. Full-time librarian. I would be the. librarian on that ship, man. I would. learn to freaking do a decimal. Be kind. Rewind. to be on this thing. And if that's not. enough, Brett, and I can tell you're.
teetering on the edge. Yeah. Of investing 13.5 million. If I can get stripes, I am into this. This is going to put you over the top. Internet cafe. Oh, they got an internet cafe. They. serve drinks, too. They've got a special seat where you can. surf the internet in a special chair. I'm assuming since 2002, they've. upgraded the Wi-Fi across the boat. I'm. just assuming that. that's probably true, but let's just. focus in on what we know to be true. but. in 2002 video form. I think this seems like a great idea. The woman who runs the internet cafe.
sings with her husband who plays piano. for crowds of one to two people in the. lounge. My husband and I came as a package. actually. Johnny plays and sings. So. he's the only pianist on the board and. so I sing with him and help him with his. shows. Well, she might be dead now. I mean it's. been over 10 years. She seemed pretty healthy. in the video. I did. But she No, you. can't say healthy on a cruise ship. Every time I hear about cruise ships in. the news, it's people getting diarrhea.
It's like the whole cruise ship got. diarrhea and they had to turn around. It's like that doesn't sound like. something I want to invest in. I I get. diarrhea enough without investing in it. You know what I'm saying? I get diarrhea. just from bad food choices. I don't want. it to be as a result of my living. quarters. Yeah. Yeah. I mean, what are you talking about? 13.5. million. I'll save it. I don't know, man. It it it it's like. 118 people on a cruise ship that could. hold 1,800 people. It's like a ghost. town cruise ship. You you might not even. get diarrhea.
