International Taste Test Marathon

International taste tests all day long? It's a Christmas Hanukkah miracle! Let's talk about that. Good Mythical Marathon! And Merry Christmas. And happy first day of Hanukkah to those. who celebrate either. Honestly, no matter what you celebrate, this is just a. glorious occasion for all. Hours worth of international taste test.

I don't even care that I usually lose. It's just good fun. So much fun, in fact that this is. our second time doing it, you can go check out the. first international marathon that we did from a couple. years ago after this one to complete the set. Yeah, there's. no overlap, you know, so they go together and that's. not all you can fill your Mythical Merry Day with. For the first time ever, we got a marathon up on the. Good Mythical More channel. It is a food draft marathon, one of our favorite games. we do in More, along with Jordan from Sport.

So be sure to check that out, get more of your marathon on. But now, darts. And one of the reasons that we can make another marathon that. does not cross over with the previous marathon is because. we have done this 82 times. 82 international episodes. And that doesn't count the glow in the dark. segment, I don't think. Which, which, that was just, that was just a little thing. That was just a little thing. Full episodes. Is that, is that the most, is this the longest running.

series we've ever had? I mean, in terms of number. I think will, it will, it might be more than 82. We have more than 82 Willits. I would think so. It started earlier. We'll, we'll do, we'll do some old math. I don't, I don't know. I don't know. Um, you know, over the course of this marathon, we, we might figure that out. We might not, but we might. And if we do, we'll let you know, because you. might figure it out. We're gonna be watching, We've done more Will Its. Oh, there you go. We already, we already figured it out. We've done more Will Its. We already figured it out. Did you ask ChatGBT? What'd you do? Mm hmm. It might not be reliable. Okay, so. Alright, let me just say. Sit back, get your salted almonds.

As you were saying, Link. Enjoy the marathon. Uh, you have fun with these, even though you usually lose. Do you wanna know how often you, like, actually lose? Oh, yeah, I definitely want, want, want. that to be rubbed in. Out of 82 episodes, you've lost 55 times, because I've won 55 times. Well. You've won 27 times. It's not, it's not bad. It's not too bad, I haven't doubled you up quite. I have had two nine time win, win streaks. There's a look on your face. From November 29th to 2019 to September 21st, 2020.

Dang, like basically a full year. Look on his face. And then in 2022, I went from May until January. of the next year with a nine time win streak. Wow, how do I do it? I don't know. I think it's less what I do and more what you do. I think most of the time you lose. It's not how good you are, it's how bad you are. No, it's not, really, it's not. It's something that you did, it's a mistake. that you make to lose. It's what I've seen people say. And now we get to see for ourselves, is that true?

All right, you be the judge of that. We're gonna go all the way back to one of our. earliest and most iconic international episodes. Yes, this is the one where Link famously, almost. impaled, a very young Chase with a wayward dart. All the way back February 24th of 2017. for the International Spice Taste Test. Today we become seasoned foodies. Let's talk about that.

Good Mythical Morning. We've had a lot of spicy stuff on this show, stuff that. humans should not consume. Yeah. We do it for your entertainment, but spicy. doesn't always mean hot. Sometimes spice is just the spice of life, just. adds flavor, but where does that flavor come from? I don't know, let's find out. Mm, yes, we'll be tasting a wide variety of spices and. herbs from around the world. World, uh and seeing if we can pinpoint the two. using the points on Darts.

Let's do it! Where in the world do these international. spices come from? Okay, so we're going to taste a spice, and then we. are going to guess where that spice comes from by. throwing a dart at, Oh my goodness! Why did you do that? What in the world is wrong with you? You gotta give me a heads up, man. I'm sorry! I didn't know you were moving over there. You could have totally gone through his freaking arm.

I'm a cartographer, I'm not a dartboard. Chase has to use those hands to measure things with, man. Chase, I'm sorry man. It's not gonna make up for it. I'm sorry. He's almost hurt me so many times and injured me so many. times that I'm not surprised. But are you okay? Chase, you okay? I'm surprised you didn't say more than you said. I'm trying to be nice for the fans. Anyway, Chase is still okay. Did you catch that? Did you miss that? We got it. So as I was trying to say We're going to guess what.

country it comes from by throwing a dart at the board. And of course, the closer you get, the better it is. So the further you get away, the worse it is. Chase, our ill fitting, uh, shirt wearing cartographer, who is totally healthy right now, will measure. it, and points are bad. Centimeters equals points. Points are bad. Are you ready? Have you recovered? The loser, uh, yeah. I'm very shook up by that. But thank you for being concerned for me. I will be okay. Uh, the loser has to eat a 25 spice milkshake.

Uh, in the conclusion of this. Let's get to it. Ba ba ba ba ba ba ba ba ba. Okay, so we're gonna have all our spices brought. in on a spice rack. It. Whoosh. There it is. Ha ha. Ha ha. See that? Okay, we've got the spices loaded into. these tennis balls. This one looks like Sugar? Flour? Dirt. Oh, it feels like flour. Mm. Oh, I've tasted this before. It's floral.

It tastes kind of like gingerbread. Yeah. Mm. Where in the world would this be? There's only one way to try to find out. Alright, you won last time we did this, so that means. you get to dart first. Whoosh. Well, I already darted, but that was a premature dart. Okay, um, man. Well, I'm from the USA, and I haven't really tasted. that in the USA cuisine. I can't imagine the dish that that would be in. Like, what kind of sauce would that be in? Because, here's what I'll say. It's not spicy. Yeah, it's not really strong.

It doesn't have a bite to it, so I don't think it's gonna. come from like, India, or Brazil, Namibia, that area. This, this seems like something some, some cold. white people would enjoy. So that is, uh, Iceland or Norway, best. guess that I've got. So I'm gonna aim right between them. Or way up there. Went kinda high. Chase, I can't help but notice that you're way back here now. You wanna get in a little bit? I'm fine over here. Okay, alright, so you're gonna stay there.

Yeah, I'll be right there. And I'm gonna throw this. Uh huh. I'm only gonna throw one. And I'm gonna throw it, I mean, it tastes. like gingerbread. I mean, I've had that. You've had that in the U. S.? Yeah. Alright. Alright. Okay, or you head in the Ivory Coast. Oh, the Côte d'Ivoire! Okay, guys, this is called maleb, and it's cultivated. from the seeds of a particular sour cherry tree used. widely as an ingredient in the desserts from Iran. Iran! Iran! I think you're, hmm, we're about even.

I might be a little closer because of my bad aim. Chase? Rhett, you had 30. Link, 27. Ooh! Neck and neck! Out of the gate! All right, another spice. Now this, well this. On the rack, okay, this one's seedy. This one, this one's dark. I go, I go soft on this one. Looks like snuff. Kind of, look, peppery, smells peppery. It tastes like something was like scraped off. the bottom of a shoe. Tastes like. Oh, in it, whoa.

Tastes like pepper, secondarily pepper. Well it's getting, whoa! What, what is that? What is that happening? That's taste happening. And there's a little spice there. It's very peppery. I feel very confident about where this is from. At first it was very potpourri y. I feel very confident about this one. There's a spice here. It doesn't mean anything. Man, you rub, I just feel like I'd rub this on some. meat and then Like this? Grill it. That's a big piece of meat. Yeah. What kind of meat is that you're rubbing? Brazilian meat.

Oh, Brazilian meat. Whoa, you almost actually hit the country. That would have been a first. I was aiming for it. Can you move back a little bit? Sure, brother. I'm going for the Côte d'Ivoire, which is French. for the Ivory Coast. Oh, little high. I'm high and to the right today, consistently. Stevie, what's the verdict? Okay guys, this is Tasmanian pepper. It's a rare peppercorn often used in traditional. food like emu burgers and kangaroo steaks. I knew it would be good on meat. From Australia.

Man. That was on the right track, but, those Brazilians, they, Chushkarara? Cheraskaria? Cheraskaria. Chase? Rhett has 56, Link has 62. Ooh, I'm getting back some points. Taking the lead, Rhett. Took a small lead. Okay, uh, okay. You're gonna get that big nut. Well, it's a crushed nut. Let's both go with the crushed side. Well, that's on your, that's your ball, man.

That's a crushed version of this. Your ball, your nut. So you want me to, so I'm gonna crush it. No, no, you don't have to. You don't, okay. Do what you want to. Ooh, what in the world, like moth balls. Yeah, tastes like something. Ugh! This is a preservative. This is a preservative. How do you even consume that? Ugh! That's a, you like it? I hate it, but I wanna know what it is. It's got a vanilla aftertaste to it. That's the weird thing, is that like, it's mothballs.

with a vanilla center. Where would they like this? Grab your dart, brother. You're gonna have to weigh in first. It's just such an unusual taste. And where would they need to preserve something? India. High and to the right, consistently. You think they need to preserve more things in. India than anywhere else? Yeah, they don't preserve anything anywhere else. They, you know, they High foot. Up there in Norway and Iceland, around those Arctic. regions, they like, they bury stuff, and then it ferments,

and Yeah, that's true. Then you sprinkle that nastiness on it. Mm hmm. And then somehow it all balances out. Yep. But I don't know. Just throw the middle in. I'm going for the middle. Oh, I hope it's Italy. Yeah, I don't think it's Italy. You were on the right track with vanilla, because. these are tonka beans, and they're used as a. substitute for vanilla. They're also considered to be magical, and they're used in. love magic and money spells.

Money spells and love magic? was feeling something after eating that. In Brazil, Brazil. Lots of money. Magic. That's good news for you. Link bad news for me. Link. You had 29 and Rhett 54. Ooh, that hurts. Yeah. Alright. Okay. I see what they're doing now. They're showing you the whole on your side and. then the spice on my side. Okay. So I can eat off of this side this time.

You can eat off of my ball. Your Royal Highness. All right. So, ooh. You did a pinch, huh? I did a pinch. I pinched it. This tastes like an Italian seasoning, and. my first thing is like It tastes like tea to me. It's got a tea taste. A spicy tea. It doesn't really taste like an oregano type spice. It, you get that at first. Hmm. This is I mean, I don't know. You go first. We'll see what you do. Chase is, Chase is trying to flee the scene, cause. I crowd the dark, and he tripped over the thing.

Alright. So I'm not going with you for Italy here. I'm actually gonna take a big honking risk. Big honking risk? I'm thinking Japan. You can think that. Well, hey, your throws are great today, by the way. Yeah, thank you. I don't know how your guessing is okay, but. your throws are great. What do you think you think in Italy? I think, ah, this is such a big risk because I'm think, I'm not thinking about going for a USA because I feel like. USA because I love my country, U USA, USA, my country's.

got Spice U, us a USA. They're not gonna just bring out like pepper. For, for USA. I feel like this is like a Oh, you think. this is tricky tricky? This is like a bay leaf ish thing, so Okay, yeah. I'm gonna go for the USA. Oh, I almost hit Florida! Dang it! I think you're gonna hate yourself for this one, because these are myrtle leaves, and the whole leaf. is used to infuse marinades and sauces in Oh, gosh, man!

Your original, I swayed you. We're both, we're both like polar opposites. Well, not at the poles, but Alright, 32 for. Rhett, and 39 for Link. Ooh, six degree difference. Well, seven actually. Yeah. Okay, more spice. Spice of life. Ooh, this one is, this one is colorful. Number four. Ooh! That's gonna be hot, I think.

This is spicy. That's a spice tasting sound. No, you gotta keep, no, yeah, keep the mouth closed. It helps, doesn't it? Didn't the country go straight to your brain. when you did that? For me it did. Oh, it did? Yeah, I know exactly what country this is. Ooh, I chewed up some of those green things. Those are like nutty seeds. I've, I've cracked the case. It's nutty seeds.

Ah, okay. Alright. You're going first this time? Yeah, so, my instinct is Namibia. Because When I did the Namibia was formed, I almost poked. myself right in the eyeball. Namibia formed in my So I'm going to Namibia. I'm going on a one way trip to Namibia. Or the Ivory Coast. Now, interestingly enough, I actually think. this is Cote d'Ivoire. Oh, really? Well, aim for it, then. So now I gotta aim for that in order to,

like, maintain my lead. I don't know, the orangeness made me think India. But it didn't taste like Indian food. Man, could be India. Could be anything. What do we know? Oh, it could be Navidia. We switched. Yeah, we did. Okay, bear with me for this one. This is shishimi togarashi, or seven spice, which dates. back to the 17th century herbal medicine shops. And guess where it's from. Japan. Japan. Ooh, we were both very wrong. I would have never anticipated that being from Japan.

Never. Link, you had 45. Rhett, you had 49. Ooh, wow, this is a tight game, man. Okay Rhett, going into the final round, you have. to get 20 centimeters closer than me to win. To win, because you're up by 19. Hey, it's any man's game. 20 centimeters is not a lot on a big world, big map. Okay, now there's a big nut on that side. You eat this one. But you know, I do think, like what kind of tree would.

that nutty seed come from? What kind of country would that be? Smell it, let me smell it. Let me smell it. It smells like a big pepper. It looks like it has salt and pepper in it. It's a salt and pepper nut. How have I not heard of a salt and pepper nut? What is this? I mean, this is, ooh, it gets spicy in a second. Who's going first on this one? Me. I know where I'm aiming, but I don't wanna say. anything because the game is on the line.

Mm hmm. First of all, this is like a very tree ish, I. feel like I'm eating a tree, but I do like it. It's got a definite kick to it. Mm hmm. I can see that making some flavorful dishes. This is tough. So we haven't been to USA, Iceland, Norway, India, or Namibia. We haven't been to either African country. No, we haven't. I think this is a coastal thing. Plus, it's kind of in the middle of the map, so. I'm hedging my bets here.

Wow. You're on fire, Lynn. Yeah. What do you think this is? Tell me Since it, since, uh, there's nothing I can do. I think this is USA, I think this is, you do, I think it's pepper. I just think it's pepper. Think, but it's, it's a big corn. It's a big old corn. It's a big pepper Corn. It's a big old pepper corn. U-S-A-U-S-A. Or Canada, alright. You were right because it is pepper, it's alligator pepper. It's a highly sought after spice used in a. variety of ways for baby welcoming ceremonies, naming ceremonies, meet and greets, in the Ivory Coast.

Oh, you did it, Link! Yes! You took it home! Ah, ha ha, I'm, you know, I'm coming to you Ivory. Coast, I love it there, I haven't even been but. those big ol peppercorns and baby showers, those. are my two favorite things. One at a time, I'm going to enjoy a 25 spice. milkshake, oh, but I'm not going to enjoy it. Thank you for liking, commenting, and subscribing. And once again, Chase, I am sorry. Yes. You know what time it is.

Ah! Ah! Boy! I can't do it. You can't do the the spice tasting sound? I'm sorry, I apologize. I shouldn't have done it then and I shouldn't. be trying to do it now. You lost it. But you know what? Did you lost the ability to chase twice? You apologized to chase twice. That was beautiful. Yeah, something told me that I really needed. to get ahead of it. Right. You know, and that I would never make a mistake similar. to that ever in the future. Right. Because I would learn my lesson completely. Was that second apology preemptive to something that. you would do in the future or was it retroactive for.

what you had just done? It was just if people joined the s The second. half of the episode. If you're joining us now, because it does happen. I'm apologizing for something you didn't see. Sometimes you walk back in on a YouTube video that. you've started, that's probably happening today. I mean, this is a marathon. You're not sitting here the whole time. You're going in and out, you know, you're living your life. Getting a salted almond. Here's what I'm gonna do in 2025, Rhett. I'm gonna apologize at the end of every episode. Instead of thanks for liking, commenting,

and clicking that bell. I mean, how good, what, what good does that do anyway? Right. I think we're just like, I'm sorry, and you know what? I just wanna apologize for anything you think I. should have apologized for. That kind of makes it, that's that's not a. good apology though. People then your apologies become, and. I mean it pointless. And I mean it, I think you have to say, I want sincerely. apologize and just let people conclude what it is. that you're talking about. And, and I wanna, and the editor and then they, they make the connection. What if I could just do, I don't want to, and before. we go, before we go to more.

I want to officially apologize for And then the editor. can just cut back to it. How about this? For this. For this. And then they cut to it. All right. Okay, can we do that in 2025? Mm hmm. Ha ha! Mm hmm. Every episode, we're gonna do that. Well, you won this one, though. You know what? I did. So, I mean, that's a good way to start. Now let's move from spice to spice. Two rice. January 9th, 2023.

Why am I not able to talk? Apologize. Well, I'll apologize at the end. Okay. And then we'll cut to the clip of me not being able to talk. Oh, no. Let's check out some beautiful rice dishes from. around the world, okay? What do rice dishes around the world look like? Let's talk about that. Good Mythical Morning! And welcome to Season 23!

That's right. Brand new year, brand new season, and, uh, has. anything else changed? Uh, no, nothing's changed. My arm's not in a sling. It's not just you need your glasses. Yeah, I, um I broke my arm single handedly carrying. YouTube on my back. Oh. Okay. No, I broke my collarbone falling off my mountain bike. Uh We're sorry. We're sorry for you.

Yeah, so, for most, if not all of this month, my arm. is gonna be in a sling, but I'm gonna be positive. I'm very positive about this. And I'm gonna be distributing all of my right arm energy. into all of my other limbs to make this the best. start of a season ever. That's right, and it is no coincidence that. it is GMM season 23 and it's also the year 2023. That is the sole reason that we decided to start this. show back when we did so we could have this moment! Right, that and we were simply not trying to.

go broke at the time. Well, I don't want to emphasize that. So finally, after 11 years, In honor of GMM season 23 and. the year 2023, we can finally enact our plan to celebrate. That's right. You guessed it. We purchased 23 trombones and taught 23 Mythical crew. members how to play them. Get on out here, you crazy kids! Whoo!

Sounds great. Good. Keep it up, pull it together. 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20, 21, 22 That was only 22.

Are you guys serious right now? That was That was only 22.

The, I wasn't kidding. I've been thinking about this for over a decade. I didn't sleep last night. Hey, hey. Shut up for a second. Li listen to me. The, we, we've been working, we've been talking about. this for months, 23. Season 23, 20. 23. 23. Trombones, not freaking.

22 trombones. I'm not mad, I'm just, I'm just disappointed. It's time for Where in the World Do These International. Rice Dishes Come From? All right, we're gonna throw a dart at the country we. think the rice dishes that we're gonna taste came from, and Chase, the No More Mr.

Rice Guy cartographer, is, of course, here to kick off. the year and measure how far our fart How far our fart Oh, that cheers me right back up. Yeah, is it a little fart joke? You're back in this? Yeah, I'm back! Come on, man, top of the year. Yeah! He's gonna measure how fart we are from the correct answer. Oh, well timed, Chase. Whoever has the lowest score wins a serving. of One Minute Nice. I'm going to be throwing with my left arm because Link has.

to throw with his left arm, but I don't know if that would. be enough of an advantage, so Link, you're also going. to get In one round, the ability to dig into a bag of. rice, which has the correct answer for that round on a. piece of paper, but you have to find it in five seconds. And then once I find it, I still have to aim at. it with my left hand. That's true. And again. All right. Neither one of us have I mean, I haven't been practicing. anything with my left hand. Anything. Um, I haven't done much over the break.

Okay. All right. Just making sure. Let's do this. We have an omelet of some sort. I guess it's got rice in it. It's a rice filled omelet. Is that all it is? There's peas, there's ketchup on the outside. Looks like there's some corn. Oh, that's chicken. Man. That's quite tasty. I've never even thought about putting rice. in an omelet, Link. It totally works.

Hmm. Ooh, that's good. Okay, since I won the I mean, it's kind of like. a burrito in an omelet. Oh, don't give me any hints. Oh. Yeah, because you have to go first. Yeah, I have not attempted to throw anything. with my left hand. Um, but I was given a nice snazzy That's a nice sling. sling by the art department. Not only does it say GMM over here, thank you, but. But it also, let me hold this up, oh, check that out. It's signed by members of the Mythical Crew because.

with a broken collarbone you can't get a cast, but you. can still get the signatures. Ooh, let's put it back down. Thank you for making that for me. You're welcome. Oh, really, oh. It was in my direction. I took it around everyone's office space. and got them to sign it. So go ahead and move that dart to your left hand. You know? Oh, that feels weird. It does. Yeah. I mean, try to put on deodorant. Fix your hair. I actually feel like Put on a shirt. There's a chance I won't hit the board.

Gesture wildly. Okay. Roll over in bed to get a little smooch. We know you've been having a real tough time. We all feel, we all, we all feel so So. much sympathy for you. Okay, you might think I have to use my blow dryer. to dry off my entire body. Of course I already did that. Unfortunately it was not his mouth that was broken. It was his shoulder. So, So, typically, if you saw something like rice inside.

of some eggs that you, you know, you were talking about. burrito, you might be down there in South America. But the people of South America, they would not be. called dead putting ketchup on something like this. They got sauces for days that are way more exquisite. and complex than ketchup. But what I have observed about the eastern part. of Europe Otherwise known as Eastern Europe. They'll put ketchup on anything. I spent some time in Poland. They put ketchup on everything. Things that shouldn't have ketchup. Oh, really?

And they had rice? I mean, I didn't have this. But, I don't know. I'm just going with where I've seen them. put ketchup on things that don't need ketchup. Oh, not bad. That's not bad. Yeah, I don't I have to take the ketchup into account. They will put ketchup on things in, in Asia as well. Like Southeast Asia. I mean, you talk about rice being prolific. I listen, I want you to win. I'm going to say Malaysia would be my, was the second. place I was going to go.

Just so you know. Oh, that's weird. All right. But you might miss the whole board if you go from Malaysia. Going for Poland. I've got to turn the tide. Yeah. I was thinking Poland anyway. They put ketchup on everything there. All right. You know? How's that feel? Cool. Very awkward. Oh, okay. Oh! You know what? That was a practice gesture. There was no dart in my hand.

Now I'm gonna pick up a dart. Okay, just so you know. Technically that I didn't hear anything. Technically that's an automatic 50. Come on, man. We just started. But it's the new year. I'm in a giving, giving spirit. Don't miss it again, because I'm going to give you a. 50 if you miss it again. Okay? It was like, I expected it to hit the board. I was like, listening for It still hasn't landed. Doooo! Hit one of the trombonists. There it goes. Just landed.

Go a little lower this time. Where does the hand start? I don't know what's happening, man. I don't know what's happening. Okay, alright, well, hey, you're on the board. Be proud of yourself. Oh, this is gonna be a long one. Ha ha ha ha ha ha! You just had omurice, a dish that is a linguistic and. literal mashup of omelette and rice topped with ketchup. It's a beloved staple, especially enjoyed.

by children in Japan. Japan?! Oh, they'll put ketchup on things for kids. in Japan, apparently. I didn't know that. All right, Rhett, you had 27. And Link, 49. Oh, well, okay, so, I mean, you got one better. than missing the board. That's right. You're in it for the long grain. That's right. Oh, nice. Bum, bum, bum, bum, bum, bum, bum, bum, bum, bum, bum. Look at this. Is this a pizookie?

It is. Put it on this plate here. Oh, my. And then when you turn this around, you can see. that there's It's rice pie. I'm gonna eat straight from this part. There's a little. And there's a little, what's that blue thing? That's a blueberry. Is it? It is. Blueberry rice. There's almonds on the outside. Chicken. This is very bland. Yeah, it feels like it needs more blueberries,

sauce, something. I like the presentation, but Putting fruit inside. of rice with nuts, that's a Middle Eastern thing. At least it can be. I'm sure they do it other places as well. And also, is this chicken or turkey? Does it matter, really?

It matters, Link. It matters because you know the capital, the world. capital of turkey is turkey. Oh gosh. So last time I was way right and high, so that means my. left, maybe, I don't know if I'm consistent though. Oh! Oh! Okay, all right, okay, okay. Did you like do free throws with your left. hand or something? I mean, back in the day, maybe. But not in the recent days.

Not this year. I know that Ethiopia likes big breads. Yeah, right. And this is like a big bread that's unfolded over itself. I like big breads and I cannot lie. And created like a calzone ish pie. With nuts. Why would they throw in a little bit of a berry. in anywhere but Ethiopia? Yeah. Yeah. That's a good, good thought. Link. I'm still high.

Yeah. Yeah. You hit my dart as a matter of fact. Thank you for that. You just had Perde Pilavi, dough filled with. rice, chicken, currants, almonds, and pine nuts. It's typically prepared for weddings because it symbolizes. the building of a new home, while rice symbolizes. fertility, and the currants are a sign of future children. This traditional dish is enjoyed in Turkey. Ah! Turkey. You jerky.

Mmm. I'm starting to kind of like it. Especially if I think about a wedding setting. I mean, where's the sauce? You don't want to get too, you know, you don't. want to get too much sauce because you want to get. it on the dance floor. You don't want anything to be on your pants. You come here on the day of my daughter's wedding and you. ask me to read the scores. Was that your Marlon Brando? Yeah. Yeah. Yo Rice mouth, right? You had seven link 15.

Mm. Hey, that's pretty respectable. Pretty respectable. That's a nice hoodie. Oh yeah. Check it out. Oh, nice hoodie. Oh yeah, check it out. We got some new hoodies, y'all. And t-shirts. It also joggers, Uhhuh, . We got a whole collection. that we're launching. Yes, a lot of it features this geometric, ge e me metric, ge e me metric, get it? It's geometric. And the name of our show is GMM. Yeah, yeah.

Burgundy crystal wash set as well. Go to mythical. com. Check out the new stuff. Yeah. It appears that we have some sort of a pudding with. some crushed pecans on top. Is it rice pudding? It is rice pudding, I assume, given the. nature of this episode. Ooh. It is cinnamony. Cinnamony. I love this. There's raisins in there. I am a fan of puddings. I did wanna point out that another thing that we.

took from the GMM Marathon is the Falkland Islands. Falkland Islands are on the map every time. from here on out. All right, you're gonna go first. I am. Link, this makes me think of flan. Flan. This makes me think of flan. Which I don't know if flan is a, is made from rice. Uh, but I know that flan, um, I've had it, I've had it. here in California, actually. Believe it or not. I believe it. But I believe it comes from Mexico, uh, which.

is the closest to Peru. And maybe some flan Like, filtered down through Central. America, squeezed itself out and turned into this in Peru, because that's how food makes its way through the world. Maybe it's just Falkland Islands. Just go for that. So I'm going Peru, but I'm You know, it could be one of those. many other countries over there to the right, so I don't. want to be too far off here. Mm hmm. Oh, I did not mean to go that far to the right. That looks like a wuss throw.

I tried to hit Brazil. I tried to hit Brazil. Huh. This is nice. Last time I ate rice pudding was at an Indian restaurant. It was fabulous. Hmm. It is. India is not one of the things. So I'm going to use my lifeline so that I can. get the right answer. Give me that sack. Okay, Link, I'm going to hand you this bag of rice. I'm going to untie it. It has the correct answer in it and a piece of paper. You have to dig through it. You will have five seconds. I'm going to go ahead and open the top for you. I'm going to set it in front of you.

We're going to count down. Ha ha ha. Five. Hold on, hold on, no. Ha ha ha. You're gonna, you're gonna set it down, and then I'm. gonna put my hand in, and then you're gonna start. I have five seconds to search. What were you looking in there for? To see. If it was like sitting on top? We're not gonna do that. Alright, I'm ready. Five, four, three, two, one.

Like sands through an hourglass. Um, that was hard with one hand. Yeah, yeah, yeah. And um, maybe it wasn't even in there. Yeah, oh, I bet it was in there.

Let me, can I have another try? You can have a three, you have three seconds this time. All right. Three, two, one. Pfft. My favorite part is how you hold it up and. then, and then, and then wish that it was there. And just wish. I'm sorry, Link. I'm sorry. It's tough, it's tough being me.

You got any guesses? The door to Peru is wide open. Yeah, I'm not, I'm not doing that. I think that's their slogan. Christ pudding. This is Ethiopia. That's not that far, I mean the A in Ethiopia. is really close to India. So what somebody who's watching might be thinking is. Link, it might be Ethiopia, but Link, but Rhett, this one, is pretty close to Ethiopia, so you're not going to gain. much in the way of advantage by going for Ethiopia.

But if I'm right, then. But if it is Peru. I have to be as close as I can to the right answer. That's true. I'm just saying. I mean, if it ends up being Ethiopia and you go for Peru, then everybody would be mad at me, but I'm just saying. But if I go for Peru, everyone's like, all he does. is copyright his answer. Ah, that's true. It's just like you can't win. It's tough. I'll just have some rice pudding. I am starting to believe that.

Honestly, I was aiming for Peru. The honest truth is I aimed for Peru. And I landed right next to you. What a worthless result. Hey, 2023 is gonna be a great year, y'all. It's gonna be a great year. Okay, this dessert is called Arroz Zambito. It's traditionally made with raisins, anise, and. coconut, and then garnished with toasted pecans, and. you can find it in for real.

No! I tried, man. I aimed for it. I did, too! Like, I'm not playing the victim. I just am I the victim? I'm not playing the victim. I am just the victim. Everyone, please arroz. Yeah, like well, it would have made more sense to. just say, please rice. All right.

Okay. Uh. Okay, uh but I appreciate the effort, Chase. Welcome to the club, man. All right, uh, 29. Link, 27. Hey, 27. That's two better than what I got. That's right. I beat you that round. Look at this, Link. That's a big'un. And this is all rice, just solid? And it's kinda got a custardy kinda quality to it.

Like there's some egg that's holding this together. Oh, and it's got layers. Oh man, there's something inside there. What is it? It's goodness. It's meat. It's meat! Is it turkey? Hmm. Wow. That's some good stuff, dude. I like this, man. Okay, but I gotta, I gotta throw. This is some, this is some good stuff. It's pretty decadent. Well, this is a mystery round.

Yes, we're only doing four rounds here. Typically we do five, but there was a whole trombone. thing at the beginning. I've seen many a TikTok video where a group of. people will be sitting around and they'll have a pot. And some guy will come out of the corner and throw something. like this on a table. Then everybody comes in and eats it. Usually it's not this well put together. It kind of falls apart, but it's like a rice. cake kind of thing. And every single time I see one of these videos, there's. like Middle Eastern music playing in the background.

of the TikTok video. So I'm using my TikTok discernment skills to say that. this is enough like that to tell me that this is somewhere. from the Middle East. So that's where I'm throwing it. Oh, a little bit low. Little low. Oh, you know what link? I thought there was a bit of, uh, a cardamom flavor in that. Oh, even better link. Uh, so where's Cardamom? Here? Here's the thing. Cardamom, uh, contrary to Popular Beef is not a country.

Oh. We are gonna give you the bag again. Okay. Or lemme just say, I am going to give you the bag again. Okay. Out of the goodness of my fart. All right. And I've got. I'm getting really good at being patronized. And I've got, and listen, I've been told that they. didn't put any more rice in there, there's less rice, and I've been told that the answer is in there twice. But you still have five seconds in one hand, okay? I'm gonna take it.

Go. Five, four, three, two, one. And. Oh! Oh, it's in there! I got it. I got it. I have my own little victory. That was dramatic. I love it. I love it. I love it.

I'm not gonna look and see what it is. Okay. Where is that? All right. I got it. Here we go. Yep, that's exactly what I was aiming for. Mongolia. Where were you aiming, Link? No, you know what, don't tell me.

Don't tell me. I don't want to know. I want to find out where it's from. You just had tajin, a savory rice delicacy resembling. a cake or casserole. It's made with layers of saffron spiced rice. alongside meat or cardamom! And topped with red barberries, or barberries, or pistachios and served with yogurt. This dish is eaten on special occasions in Iran. Yeah, I knew that. I knew that. Totally.

My aim was just a little off. Yep, yep. Well, shoot. All right, before I do the scores, I want you to say. hello to my little friends. Rhett, you had 15. Link, Link, 10. Hey. 10 and 10. Look at us, friends. We can agree, to move on from this as friends. Yeah, I mean, but we're gonna play this. game again, you know. Next month, probably. And you've got a whole you've got lots of time to prepare.

I'll come up with something, and I'll have. my other arm by then. Congratulations, Rhett. You won 60 seconds of Compliments. A minute of nice. I'm looking forward to that. From me and Good Mythical More. Thanks for subscribing and clicking that bell. You know what time it is. Woo! How's our arm? How's the collarbone? It's good to have use of both arms. Do you ever think about the fact that it was broken? Like, how often do you feel that it was broken? Never. I don't feel anything. My collarbone is better than new. Is it stronger like that kid in that baseball movie?

I mean, I was even doing this because I. forgot which one it was. Oh, you're doing this? It's this one. Oh. It's this, I think it, I think it went down a little. bit, but I don't like to think about the fact. that it was ever broken. I do. Nope. No, no, I mean if it's gonna rain, I mean. it doesn't rain here. So maybe if I lived somewhere else, I would start to. get pain when like there was a barometric drop. Only if there was something still going on with it.

Better than ever. Better than, I should break the other one. I just want to take a moment to say, you know, there's, whenever I have a moment like that, where I was really. upset about the 22 trombones that were supposed to be 23. Yeah. We, you know, what we've successfully done is we've. made it seem like it was just a big, it was a big joke. You know, it was just, Hey, Rhett's just acting and. he didn't really get mad. He doesn't really get mad. And I just want to take this opportunity to say. that I was actually mad. I was actually very, very mad.

Uh, in that time that I was upset about my. chair getting moved, that sometimes goes around, I. was actually mad for that. Because sometimes I get actually mad, and I. have an anger problem. And, uh, I refuse to talk to my therapist about it. So it's probably gonna continue to happen. It'll pop up. I will pop off at times. Uh, I snap, basically. Say more. I am a ticking time bomb, waiting to snap. and get incredibly mad. I do it all the time in my personal life, with my. family, with the colleagues here, with Link, and.

sometimes you get to see it. Thank you for at least honoring it. Mr. Hennington, can you continue to confuse people? All right, you won that one. Maybe I'll win the next one, though. From spiced rice to barbecue, Bryce. Bryce is our new intern. Yes. He's right over there. Say hi, Bryce. This is the International Barbecue episode. He's 12. We're also violating child labor laws.

September 4th, 2017. How well do you know your international cue? Let's talk about that. Good Mythical Morning. Happy Labor Day, the day devoted to all the. expectant mothers out there. That is what Labor Day is all about, isn't it? Yeah, I think so. Okay, and you know what expectant mothers love? What? Barbecue.

Mm hmm. Now we've had a, an American barbecue taste. test on this show before, but it's time to stop. thinking locally and start acting globally. Yes. It's time for Where in the world does this international. barbecue come from? Okay, we are going to be experiencing five, counting. five, international barbecues. So, today I can smell it already. is a good day. Great Breakfast of Champions. And we have a world map right over here with. cartographer Chase.

Uh, gingerly pointing at it with a shirt that's. a little bit too small, but it has a map on it, so that makes it okay. Um, we are going to be tasting each barbecue, and then choosing which Good job, Chase. Which of the eleven countries we think this. barbecue originated in. Yes. And then Stevie is going to reveal, um, however far we. are, is how far he's going to measure in centimeters, and then give us a score. Uh, corresponding to that. So the goal is to have the smallest score, like golf, at the end of this thing.

Got it. Um, there's also gonna be a round where we can throw. four darts at once, in order to mix it up and have a. greater chance of getting it right when we're guessing. Yes. Let's start. Take Wow, it's a It's a grill. Oh, it's ribs. They smell good. I was gonna go for that one. I was getting this one for you. There's a lot of ribs that go around. That's fine. It looks like a normal rib. That's a pork rib. That's a good rib. But it's really about the sauce, right?

The clues come from the sauce. I'm gonna put mine over here on a grill. On a paper towel, so I can lick my finger. and think about it. Looking at the map here. If somebody served these at their house, I wouldn't. be like, ooh, what country did you get these from? These are so exotic! Yeah, I would just be like, that's a good sauce! The sauce has got a little something in it, though. It's got a little something from another country. Now, you're taller, so, um, you get to go first. Oh, once again, it's an advantage. Throw your dart at the country that you think.

That this rib originated. Now, I will clarify, you talked about the, uh, the four dart round. That can happen in any round, and it's four. darts, fart, for short. You just call fart, and you can do it at any time. It is not a fart joke, it's just the only way. that you can say four darts in a catchy way. Yeah, it's the most logical way. I'm not gonna fart in this round. I'm, I don't wanna fart too early. Right. Could you move out of the way a little bit? I would love to. These are not Canadian, Mexican, or Brazilian. But I also feel like there is some sort of.

African spice here. I wanted to say it was, it was Thailand, cause it was kind. of a sweet Asian thing going. What I'm gonna do is I'm going to aim for the Indian Ocean. Because I feel like that's a safe bet. So I'm not making a real guess. I'm not committing. I'm just adding, I'm going for the Indian Ocean. Oh, and I hit the, uh, That's not one of the oceans. Southern Ocean is not an ocean. I think it might be, isn't it the Southern Ocean? That's an ocean. Um, I know there's all types of Brazilian meat houses,

and they'll come around to your table with meat, at. these Brazilian meat houses. I love it. Churrascaras. Whatever. Don't believe. Okay, so you went for Brazil. And I hit the West Ocean. I feel like Brazil would have been beef, but I don't. know, but you could be right. Let's find out. Okay guys, you just nibbled on some Sikrong Moo Yang, which. are grilled pork spare ribs marinated in a sauce comprised. of garlic, ginger, soy sauce, fish sauce, sugar, salt,

and pepper, and then grilled from the country of Thailand. Thailand. It wasn't as sweet as you thought Thailand. would be, but you're still way closer than me. And that would have been great with the Indian Ocean. Man, you are taking the big lead here. All right, Rhett, you had 25, and Link, you were at 65. Oh, wow. Early lead for the Rhett. Ba ba ba ba ba ba ba ba ba ba. I'm gonna try to win, but, I mean, everybody who's. eaten this is a winner.

You gonna eat it with your hands? Hmm. This is Oh, this is goat. Yeah, it's goat or sheep. It's got that, like, barnyard overtone, but. then it tastes really good once you get past that. I think the reason that barnyards smell like. barnyards is because barnyards smell good. So where on earth are barnyards? Ha ha ha. Aim at a barnyard and see if you can hit it. Man, if this is Mongolia, that could be yak. It could be. Mongolia is a The thing about Mongolia is it's. up in there in that upper right hand corner. So if I'm wrong, I'm not close to being right.

about anything else. And I already made that mistake with Brazil. I went lower left. But you know this is not Canadian, Mexican, or Brazilian. So, I mean, I think you're safe on the. right side of the map. But I'm not being Deceitfully, I'm being a good friend. I really feel like this is Mongolian, I'm not. gonna apologize about it. Don't apologize to anybody. Link, your aim is superb today. I just need you to back up. Feeling myself. What? I'm feeling myself, man. So, I think Mongolia is an excellent guess, but in an.

effort to mix things up. You're gonna try to outdart me? No, no, no. I think this could also be Cameroon. So you think this is a water buffalo type situation? No, I think they could have goat in Cameroon. Yeah, I think this is a goat. No. If it were Cameroon, it'd be a goat, but I. think this is Mongolia. I think it's a yak. I'm going Cameroon. I think you might be right, but You're trying to throw. it through the board? Yeah. It's a hard throw. I'm low today. You're left and I'm low. Alright. Okay, guys. You just ate barbacoa de borrego, translated to lamb. barbecue, which is a whole lamb that is traditionally.

buried in the ground, covered in leaves and hot. coals, and found in Mexico. Mexico? Dang, you got lucky again, just getting. closer for no good reason. Some call it luck, some call it skill. I didn't think it was yak. Where do you think they're gonna get yak? You gonna get yak in town? Yeah, this is Los Angeles. Rhett, you had 41. I had 41. And Link, you add 62. Oh gosh, I'm gonna have to fart. Yeah, you, you are man.

Man, Link, you're, uh, you know your aim's off, but. your, I mean your aim is on, but your choices are bad. That's a big sausage. Two wieners. That's not a wiener, that's a sausage, man. They didn't give us anything to eat with, no not a lot of. thought went into that, just every guy grab his wiener. Smells like Christmas. Both ends smell the same. Oh wow, it's really got a strong, uh, spice.

Clove. You're throwing first this time. Where do they put clove in their sausage? Aim for the North Pole. It does feel like something they do in Canada. Where do they love cloves? They love cloves in Turkey. I'm gonna fart. Ladies and gentlemen, he is going for the four. dart throw at once, known colloquially as the fart. It is not a fart joke. It's just what it's called when you throw four darts. Now, we've never done this before. We have no idea what's gonna happen. I don't even know where I should aim. Where do you aim a fart?

Aim everywhere. The fart should spread. You want it to spread as much as possible. You want your fart to spread throughout the world. I'm gonna throw it in the middle of the map. and see what happens. Oh! Everything sort of zeroed in on Brazil. That didn't really help you. No, it's horrible. Very tight, tight spread. I'm not gonna use my fart. yet, because yours was so pathetic. This is my opportunity to gain some ground. True. Didn't taste like turkey, but it tasted. like it was from Turkey!

Clothes and hookahs. Hit Mongolia. Hold on, but if it is Mongolia, you're. in the country. And we give you full credit if you're in the red. That'll be zero for this round. Okay guys, the sausage you just put in your. mouth is called Barvorz. Which is made from a coarsely minced mixture of lamb. and pork and seasoned with coriander seed, black pepper, nutmeg, cloves, and allspice. Usually barbecued outdoors in the oven. South Africa.

Oh, you're still closer! Yeah, my fart paid off. Your blind guessing is leading you to sanctuary. What? Alright, Chase. Link, you're at 37. And Rhett, you had 18. Okay. With four darts, you should've done better. Yeah, you're right. You should've done better. You're right. Bum, bum, bum, bum, bum, bum, bum, bum, bum, bum. I am sorry Link. I'm not even trying. It's just happening. It's luck. Ooh, we have a hen. That's a full half chicken.

Just in the name of conservation, we. should just split one. We'll save the other one for later. I mean, this piece of a, piece of a leg here. I want You gotta get the skin. I gotta get some skin. That gives you info. Mm hmm. I know exactly what this is. You know exactly what this is? Mm hmm. All I know is that it's very good. This is tough, because, I mean, it's like, I don't know. how anything could be Canada. Do they barbecue stuff in Canada? How could anything be Canada, period? No offense, I love Canada.

But it's, I don't know it for it's barbecue. They're so nice up there. Australia is in the corner. Who am I kidding? I just have to fart right at the middle of the board. I mean it's Everyone's clearing out back there. They didn't do that when I was farting. I thought this was like a Perry Perry but I. can't remember where Perry Perry comes from. Well just fart at the board and see what happens. I got a decent spread, but the board needs. to be farther away. Yeah, that's it.

Could you move, uh, back a little bit? Now, Link, you're 100 percent right. It's Perry Perry. Where's Perry Perry from? Africa, man. I don't know if it's Cameroon or South Africa, but I'm going for Cameroon. Ooh, that's close. Alright, let us have it, Stevie. Okay, so you're kind of right, because it. is Piri Piri Chicken. Piri Piri. I say Piri Piri. But it's from Portugal. Oh, Link, look at you, man! I've, I've won this round.

Piri Piri. Thought it was African. Wrong. Portuguese. Alright, Rhett, you were 19 away. And Link, you were 19. Eight. Hey, look at you. You feeling yourself again? I'm feeling myself. And bring her in now. Link. Ooh. Oh yeah. That's not our job. Oh gosh. Oh, what? That's a, that's squid. That's a skate. That's a squid, man. You seen? That's a s skate. That's the tail of a, oh, of a squid, man.

What is that? That's the flap part. And what is this? The face part. Oh my goodness. Is that all from one. Mmm. Smells good though. Where should you eat? Oh, that's a spicy squid. Whoa. That's super spicy. Whoa! It builds. Uh, the spice is like a, it's a black pepper spice. It's not like a, it's a spice spice. It's not like a pepper spice. Mmm. I don't understand. But, I feel like this is a spiciness from.

spice, not from a pepper. I need, I need my, my space. Like a black pepper. This has gotta be a place where they've got access to. squid, so Link, I'm going to tell you, it's not Mongolia. You've tried to do that twice. In South Korea. And I could miss the board. If I miss the board, I get the maximum score of 50. So hey, you could make a big comeback here. Mm hmm. Thailand, huh? And here, here you go, Link. Or as my dad calls it, Thigh land!

Link, because you're down so far, and I'm a. good friend, I'm gonna give you the super fart. That's a double fart. Oh, so this is like the walking farts, where. they just keep coming. Yeah, you get eight. You have to throw them all at once, though. Three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine. Okay, yeah, go for it. Nine darts. Chase, don't you wanna get a good look at this? Yeah, from over here. I mean, this is, this is crazy, man. I think this is probably Korean barbecue.

Okay. But, I have to like, swath. Oh, no, no, no. You can sidearm it. I'm just trying to get the whole board. Just let go at the right time. Don't let go. Oh, wow. Look at that, guys. I hit every single fart on the board. Nine darts at once. You did. You did. All dangling on there. None of them close to what I was guessing. If it's South Korea, I still win this round. Let's just see what it was. Okay guys, that spice you were tasting comes from.

a sauce called gochujang sauce, which is a type of. fermented red chili paste. And these are ojingeo gwi, squid marinated in that. sauce, and then grilled over charcoal or gas. It's from South Korea. I was guessing that! And all nine of my darts didn't come anywhere close. You had a double fart and a little extra fart. And I'll still beat ya. You lucky devil.

Alright, Rhett, you had 15, and Link, you had 17. Ooh, I almost won the last round. You did. So, Rhett, you won fair and square. Thank you. You get an amazing sandwich and more, that. is the International Barbecue Sandwich. All of these combined. That's gonna be tasty. It's gonna be awesome. Join us. Thank you. Thanks for liking, commenting, and subscribing. You know what time it is.

You won that one, too. You know, it was only the fifth time we. had played the game. You didn't know what was to come. I will say, Link, in all the times we played this, I did a little math, you've won 32 percent of the time. Yes. And if you win, Every game that we've, of International. Darts, that we have scheduled to play in 2025, you can. bring that number up to 40%. Okay. So that's, that's how that can go. It's uh, it's like turning a ship. Right. Um. You know, I will slowly overtake you.

And then if you win everything in 2026, maybe you get to 50%. Yeah, you get, yeah. But I don't want to raise suspicion that I'm. actually trying to do that. Right. Um. Where's my almonds, though? I know you took my almonds. You ate them all. I did not eat them all, because I was thinking, I'm. saving my three almonds to a point in this marathon. where I need to feel, I need a salty boost. Oh, Bryce has them. Bryce, give them to Chase. Bryce has them.

We pay that child with nuts. I'm sorry that I assumed it was you when it was Bryce. But now that you have it, you can give them to me. I'll let you have one. Alright, I gotta go walk over to Bryce and. then come back over. I mean, watch the next episode. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. What? Okay. Bye. We want to take a moment. We're going to balance it out for you in this marathon with. something a little bit sweet. Some Dunkin Donuts. Not a sponsor. Yes. We're going back to June 11th, 2018 for some. international Dunkin Donuts. The world runs on Dunkin, Not a sponsor. Let's talk about that.

Good Mythical Summer! We got some exciting news. In addition to our big Australian tour, the Tour of. Mythicality is hitting the road one more time in 2018. On November 8th, we're gonna be at the Sony. Center in Toronto, Canada. On Friday, November 9th, we'll be in Atlantic City, New Jersey at Caesars Palace, and then we're gonna. be wrapping things up at Foxwoods Resort Casino in. Connecticut on November 10th.

All of the info for the tour is at tourofmythicality. com, and if you want early access, make sure you go. there and subscribe to our Mythical Monthly newsletter. and follow our social accounts at RhettandLink. These are the final shows we're gonna be playing for. the rest of 2018, so if you wanna come see us but missed. the tour the first time around, this is your chance. But now The donut. Yes, it's the perfect representation of life. Cyclical, sweet, and it gives you high blood pressure. Now, we just got duck and donuts in California a couple.

years ago, but it turns out there's actually duck and. donuts all over the world and those global locations serve. some interesting versions. So today, we wanted to taste some selections from. international DD menus and see if we can deduce the donut. It's time for where in the world do these international. duck and donuts come from? Well, you know how this works. We're each gonna taste a Dunkin Donuts item that has. been recreated by our mythical chefs, Tess and Josh, and. then we're going to determine where we think that is from,

uh, by throwing a dart at our map, which was manned by. our resident cartographer, Chase, in his map shirt. Uh, he's gonna measure the distance to see who is closest. to the correct location. Link, as we have established, You're bad at this game. And so today, I'm gonna give you the Donart, which. is, at any point of your choosing, you can take. 12 of the donut holes, the munchkins from Dunkin Donuts. Yeah? There's like, powdered sugar covered. You can throw all 12, the whole box and the.

12, at the thing, and the closest powdered sugar. dot to the correct answer is your guess, okay? I will gladly accept that advantage. Okay, whoever has the shortest total distance at the end. of the game wins, and the loser has to eat a scro nut. in Good Mythical More, which obviously is a donut. filled with testicle mousse. Testicle mousse. All right, let's have the first donut. What is this freaking donut? It's, it's hairy.

It's got fuzz on it. It's like a freaking sesame seeded asbestos donut. Smell, but smell it. That is, there is something awful about that. It's from the sea. You're biting it already? That's meat. That's frickin hair. Meat hair. It's hair able. It's meat. It's like jerky of some kind. That's bad, y'all. All right, Rhett. Since I'm taller than you are short, you should go first. Okay. Um. Where on the earth would someone want to purchase this?

What do you think it is? You think it's meat? It's definitely meat. It's meat and seaweed. So we are definitely in an Asian location. I mean, I think this could just as easily. be China or Japan. I'm going to aim at East China. Just in case. I'm basically aiming between China and Japan. Oh, okay. I hit China. Okay. I'm gonna try to do what you were unable to do. Oh, okay. Which is just go to the right of your dot, but still hit China.

Get close to Japan. Both! Wow. Not bad! We're both in China, you're closer to Japan. So, what the crap is this? You guys are off to a great start. This is a donut topped with dried pork floss. Pork floss? This is what pigs floss with? Yep. Which can be enjoyed in Dunkin Donuts. Oh! Oh, look at us! No, wait, so we both get zero points. We both get zero. What are you measuring? Yeah, come on, Chase, there's no measuring.

For the first time ever, we both nailed. the country, I think. Hey, we started off zero, zero, man. Hey, this could be, this could be a, this could be a. really good day for you, man. And you. I wasn't trying to block this one. No, that's the new five. It's the 2018 five, huh? No, no, no, hear me out. This is how you do it. You go up. You go under, and then you hit the back. All right, it's the mythical high five. But what about the back? You went down. Let's practice later. Okay, yeah. Oh, it's a pig in a blanket.

Oh, ooh, it's warm. There's no donut aspect to this. Well, it's, I mean, kind of. A pig in a blanket has nothing to do with a donut. in my mind, but oh, is there cheese inside of this sausage? There's cheese inside of the sausage. It's so good, but in no way is it donut. Well, I mean, it's round if you look at it like that. See, they had to add this to the menu. To get people to come in to wherever this is sold. I mean, it's like a brat. I mean, we're obviously talking Germany, right?

Right! Oh, you don't think so? Well, I know, I know that. I live in the USA and I love this. I know that sausages are a thing in Argentina because. that's where the whole steak, you know, when you. go to like a Brazilian steakhouse situation, you. get, they're into meat, so. Yeah, you're right, lots, and they'll come around to your. table at those restaurants and just, but there's not. pig in a blanket there. Well, they're sausages. Oh, Bulgaria gets the vote from me. I'll stay back here.

Alright, now, you were trying to throw me off. at Argentina, don't lie. Or, you know what, aim for Argentina. No, I think Germany. Put your dart where your mouth is, buddy. I was trying to throw you off. I do think that it's probably Germany. Okay, I'm aiming for the Germans. Oh, you got closer, but I hope you're wrong. Stevie, what is it? This is a cheese filled sausage wrapped in a flaky. pastry called a kolache which originated in Central. Europe but is extremely popular and co opted by. Dunkin Donuts in Texas What?

And you're just ever so slightly closer. to Texas than me. I can see how Texans would love this. I've been in Texas and I love it. All right, Rhett, you had 36. Link, you had 40. Oh, okay. All right. Hmm, that Bulgaria wasam really didn't. help you out, did it? Sesame seeds? Is that what we're looking at here? I think whatever's inside is gonna be the big giveaway.

I think it's just cream in there. It's a cream cheese almost. Yep, you're right. It is amazing. It is really, really tasty. All right, you darted up first. I, boy, wow. What you thinking? Nothing is coming to me. Nothing. Yeah, I mean, cream cheese. Oh man, I just feel like I need to do a protective throw. Okay. As opposed to making a very definitive choice. because I have no, I have no, there's nothing. definitive coming to me. It could be Argentina. It could be Japan. They love sesame seeds in.

It could be Germany. Japan? I'm gonna throw it in the middle of Africa and just. hope I'm getting lucky. Oh, Bulgaria. Now when I think sesame seeds, I think sesame chicken. And when I want sesame chicken, I order. Chinese takeout. Which is why I'm gonna aim for Bulgaria. Because I don't think that that logic holds true. All right, I'm gonna hedge my bets here to. hit my dart on your dart. Really? Oh, come on, come on, come on.

Wham! Little low. All right. Where is this from? You guys are on fire today. This donut that clearly wants to be a bagel is. stuffed with cream cheese and topped with sesame and. you can eat one in Bulgaria. Oh man! I'm sorry dude. I don't know how it happened. You lucky dog. I did not mean to get close to Bulgaria. All right, so how, he pulled ahead a little bit. A little bit. Rhett had three and Link had six. Still, it's still very close. You got a donut coming up, man.

Boy, it smells good. Some sort of open faced Once again, not a donut. sandwich. Is that cheese and, like, black beans? Dink it. Sink it. Black beans and cheese on a hoagie top. Hoagie top, hoagie top. Hmm. You're up first, Neal. Now, I could use my munchkins on this one. Yep, you still got those. I mean, you got some refried bean action.

I mean, a lot of Mexican food's got the refried beans, and Honduras kisses Mexico, according to my visual optics. I don't think we're going South Africa for any reason. Well, the only thing I will say is that bean spread, I don't know if it's black bean, bean spread. is a North African thing. But cheese, it seems to throw it off a little bit. I mean, Morocco, I'm just saying, is a candidate. Whenever you start talking and I'm gonna throw a dart,

I've learned not to listen. Oh, good. But I was listening. Okay. Well, fine, I'll just And also the French occupation. of Morocco, which introduced the baguette into their. I don't think there was a French occupation in Morocco, but it sounded smart. You know, I'm gonna go for a bold choice, saving my. munchkins for the final. Honduras, here I come! Oh, oh, dang it. Too high. Too high. You know what you've made.

I think you've made this, uh, you've made this easy for me. I did. Yes. Because now all I have to do is just go lower. than you and I'm probably gonna be right, because. you think it's Honduras. Yeah. Not Morocco. Definitely not. You're such a disingenuous contestant, uh, Honduras man. Boy, that feels right, doesn't it? Sounded right when I said it. All right. Ah! Okay, not that much closer, actually. All right, where is this from?

Did we make this too easy for you guys? Because this is a mollete, which is an open faced. French bread sandwich. Sandwich. Sandwich. Sandwich. With black bean paste and melted cheese. Popular at Dunkin Donuts in Honduras. Ah, I mean, I got it right. I gave you the daggone answer and then I couldn't. throw a dart worth of fart. But listen, you still got your donut and I'm not gonna. have that much of a lead. That's right. Link, you had 13. Rhett, you had eight. That puts me only 12 behind.

All right, I can do this. Huh. You appear to have some sort of I thought it. was coconut encrusted. But that looks like Parmesan. It's Parmesan cheese. You can smell it. All right, you're gonna go first. I am up by 12, but that can be so easily erased. Why does it always come down to this, man? Yeah. Okay, move over, Neil. because I know you've got your doughnut. Okay, all right.

What are you thinking? I think that Argentina was added to be a decoy. from Honduras because they knew that we would pick. one of those countries for the black bean stuff. See how hard he thinks? And we've already picked I just enjoy my life. We've already picked the USA. So I'm ruling out, you know, North and South America. Now I'm back over here. That was an opportunity to do the new Yes. Um, in previous times, I would have said there's no. way that this could be from an Asian country because. it's got Parmesan on it. But I've been wrong about that many times because.

I think that they're beginning to experiment. more and more with these type of Western ingredients. in Eastern cuisine. Last time I threw it into the Indian Ocean and that worked. My munchkins are gonna go everywhere. Global domination. Ugh. Okay, I'm gonna kind of go Indian Ocean. Cheating a little bit towards Japan. Hope for the best. Ah! That was way too high for Japan. Basically, let's see. So for my munchkins, I think this is Japan.

I just think that they're experimental in that way. Cause this doesn't make any sense. Now, I'm a little concerned that this may not work at all. I might be better off throwing a dart. You're committed to the donut now. You've got him in your hands. I mean, I've never done this. No one's ever done this. It's just the closest sugar dot. How much are they gonna spread is the real question.

Uh, they didn't leave much of a mark. It's hard to tell that they left anything. Do you see anything up there, Chase? A little bit over near your dart. And then some around Japan. You got one. Well let's find out what the right answer is. You got one really really close. We don't even know if Japan's correct. So where is this from, Stevie? This donut is called a black cheese topping. It's chocolate glazed and it has shredded parmesan stuck.

to the sides with icing. And you can grab one the next time you're in Indonesia. Oh, yes, so There's one right here. Yeah, there is. Oh, gosh. Real close. Link, I think you pulled it out with the doughnut! Oh, if I had just gone into the Indian Ocean. like I wanted to! All right, Rhett, you had 20. Link, you had five. Yes! I've made up the 12 point difference. You won by three centimeters!

I don't even know how to feel. Congratulations, Link. Whoo! Oh, man! All right, Rhett, in Good Mythical More, you. have to eat a scro nut. I'm sure Chase will help you. I'm so looking forward to that. Thanks for liking, commenting, and subscribing. You know what time it is. This, this marathon's going good. That was a close one. That was a close one and the advantage helped you out. I, I, I won. And we've been doing our special. Backside.

There we go. That was nice. Backside high five. Oh yeah! It actually hurts. Yeah, you're supposed to high five with this part of. your hand cause it's soft. Not this part of your hand cause it's bone. Yep. That's why we do it. We do it. The back side of your hand is the bone side. I like the kolache, man. You know? I wonder if they still have that in Texas? Oh, man. Cheese filled sausage wrapped in a flaky pastry. Well, they still, I mean, they still have it because it's.

Well, it's a Dunkin Donut. Do they have it at Dunkin Donuts? But the people of that region make it too, right? Yeah, but do they sell it Like, because of. their German descent. No, what I'm asking is, do they sell it in. Dunkin Donuts still? Uh, I don't know. Which is weird that they ever did, but okay. I'll take it. Oh. Oh, nuts. Is it extra salty? It's more salty. It's been in Chase's Oh, it's been in Bryce's hand.

and then, uh, Chase's hand. Mm. These are so addictive. Oh my gosh, I can't believe I forgot. Oh, what? The most important meal of the day. Breakfast. Sandwiches. Yes, let's take it back to September 13th, 2021 to see. how other countries like their breakfast sandwiches. What do other countries slip between their. breadie for brekkie? Let's talk about that.

Good Mythical Morning! And welcome to the premiere of Season 20! That's right! And this ain't just any old premiere week. of GMM, no sirree bop! This is the week of Megacality! Which means, every day this week we're gonna be. hitting you with one of your favorite formats, right in. the eyeballs, every morning. Depending on your time zone. We're coming out swinging.

Yes, that's right. Five days of our biggest, most popular, most. righteous episodes. It's gonna be mega mythical. All right, we're gonna be kicking things off the way. I kick off my smoothie free mornings that don't become. cereal mornings, and that's with breakfast sandwiches. Because there's breakfast all over the world, and there's. bread all over the world, therefore, There are breakfast. sandwiches all over the world. I'm out. Bullseye! That's how I'm gonna throw this season. Underhand! It's time for Where in the world do these.

international breakfast sandwiches come from? You know how this goes. We're gonna be trying a breakfast sandwich hailing. from somewhere on this globular green earth. Not to be confused with the other flatter earth, which we. have represented on our map. Now we're gonna throw a dart at the country we think. it's from and then chase. Our chase. That's me. Our very own chase. Yes. We get one, you get one. Uh, our buttered biscuit cartographer chase. It will measure exactly how far we are from. the right answer.

Happy 20th premiere, our chase. Thanks. Happy 20th premiere, my Rhett and Link. Oh! Whoever has the lowest score at the end wins, and since. Rhett, you won last time. Yeah. I get the special advantage dart, which. is the Yolk Yeet Yart. Hmm. And the winner gets to become the par fa gentleman. in Good mythical more. Start it up. We got some long GEs here. Some sort of a gie That's a, that's a. baguette of some kind.

And then we've got, well we've got some. black eyed peas in here. Or is that beans? What's happening? Hmm. That was a bit crunchy. I think that is black eyed peas. Hmm, that's good. And it's meaty. Is there meat? Well, it could just be that the black eyed peas have. made a meaty consistency. No, I think that's a meat. It is a meat. And some onion. I can't tell you what meat it is. Maybe a beef? You can or you won't. I shan't.

Alright, you won last time, which means I get the pleasure. of you going first again. Yes. Hi, Mom! How you doing? Hi boys, it's me, Rhett's mama. I'm so happy to see your handsome faces again. Hi, we're so glad to see a camera. Of course, you only usually see the top of our heads for. most of this, but we're not going to forget about you. Mama died. Anything you want me to know before I throw my first dart? Rhett, when was the last time you tried on a signature. pair of Dockers khaki pants?

I, uh, I mean, that's weird mom. Uh, not, not recently. Wow. Speaking of pants, keep your butt in the seat. I think that the baguette, the baguette made its way. to many different places in the world from France. Cause the French, they would do with some occupying. The black eyed peas specifically. I like some black eyed peas. I thought that was just a Southern thing. A Cuban sandwich. A lot of times we'll come on some bread like this.

You're making a bunch of statements that have nothing. to do with each other. No, I'm zeroing in on Cuba, but I'm not super. confident because I also think it could be Argentina. So I'm just kind of gonna split the difference there. Oh, well, that was not what I was intending. I mean, it could be anywhere. Because beans on toast is like a UK thing. Black eyed pea is kind of like a bean. Is it a legume? I'm On toast? I believe that it is a bean. So I kind of, I kind of feel like. I don't know, I'm gonna stay close to France.

I'm gonna go for Denmark. Woo, woo, woo. Oh, nice. Oh, I'm feeling it, y'all. I'm fresh. Okay, you guys just ate an endambe sandwich. Endambe is a bean stew made with black eyed peas, beef, onions, tomato paste, and an array of spices. When served on a baguette, it becomes a morning. favorite throughout the day. Oh, whoa! Senegal, huh? Well, I think I was pretty close to Senegal, y'all. Hey, season 20.

Yeah, Rhett, you had five. Link, 24. You lucky Senegalese doll. I mean, you know, I mean, sometimes you. just can't help it. Look at that, Link. Good gracious! Get a load of that. Boop a loop a loop a loopie bread! Yeah! These are, these are huge. They're, uh, they're cold. This is ice cream in here. Smells good. With like some sort of marshmallow fluff. You just suck the fluff? I got a little of the greenie.

The green ice cream. I think it's pistachio. Pistachio ice cream? I don't know, what do you call this? A nipple? A booby bagel? Is that what you call it? Yeah, I call it. Mmm. That's some good bread, y'all. That's refreshing. Now I know, you're still darting first, that. Don't give me any hints now. We've tasted ice cream in a sandwich like this. before, like on bread, but I really can't remember. what that translated into. I'm going with the pistachios.

And pistachios are put into many desserts. in the Middle East. Georgia. I was born in Macon, Georgia. On your mind? Not that one. Oh, maybe it wasn't that one. Oh yeah, I was born in the United States. Man, I'm Can you verify that? You can say that again. Yeah, I was, yeah, that's right. Born in Macon, Georgia. You got any tips for me, Mom? I can't tell you how happy I am in my Dockers. mid rise skinny jeans. Ooh, comfy.

Is that odd to you that she's taking these opportunities. to talk about Dockers? I think. . I think she might be sponsored. She might have a deal with doctors. Well, we'll, we'll talk about it later. Uh, so you're, I'm, I'm, you're going for Georgia. I'm going Georgia. Oh, man. A little to the right, a little to the east. I, I, I'm being, I'm being drawn to South Korea. I think this is something that Ice cream, all bread, joy. What is happening? Is it, I've been, it jumping, thinking about.

my mom and dockers. I'm thinking about my mom in skinny jeans. Did you know Dockers has big and tall pants? Shirts and shorts? Perfect for my big and tall boy. Dude, she's getting a check or something, man. Mom, just to be honest with you, are you being. sponsored by Dockers? How dare you? She just loves Dockers, man. That's all it is. She just loves Dockers. South Korea. And I'm not even gonna try to go to the east, cause. I'm gonna be assertive.

Oh, yeah. You got an accurate toss, uh, this season. Yeah. Okay, you guys just tried brioche con gelato, which. consists of scoops of creamy gelato on a brioche bun. Though it seems like a dessert, it's actually. a popular summertime breakfast item in Italy. Aww. And actually, the boob thing, I guess, isn't. just a coincidence. It's supposedly an intentional showing of Sicilian's. respect for motherhood, and specifically the Virgin Mary.

That's nice, honey. That's right, the Virgin Mary's, the Virgin Mary's. nipples, apparently. All right, Rhett, you had 18, Link, 34. Link, 34. Ouch. Before we move along, in honor of today's 20th season. premiere, the Golden Tee of Mythicality giveaway is. back again starting today. Once again, we're giving away three different prizes. Void would prohibit it. Link, you're gonna be excited about this, brother. Uh huh. Oh. We got some sort of flatbread with, uh, fish. and then some fish eggs. So why not have the full gamut? Oh, those are berries, right? Yeah, they're just berries. Dink it.

And sink it. That's not bad. This is not my idea of breakfast. Fish. Well, that's probably because you're not from this place. Or watch. I like that dill. I mean. Sorry. Yeah. Not only am I losing, I'm also miserable. Link, you sing tense. I think some Dockers Premium Heritage Chinos. would do you good. I know you're sponsored.

I better be getting a cut of this. No sirree. Yeah, I get a cut. It's my mom. Your mom's gotta get her own deals. Okay, how could this not be Denmark, is what. I'm thinking, right? The unapologetic smoked fish and caviar on top. of it for breakfast. I'm telling you. This is a, we're getting towards. Scandinavia, I believe. And so I'm going with Denmark.

Oh. Yeah, I don't know how it could be anything. besides Denmark. And I just can't afford to go off the rails. without any reason. I mean, South Korea, would they be doing this? Can I go back there? It could be South Korea, for sure. Can I risk it? I mean, I'm so far behind. I gotta go for Denmark. And I gotta hope that my aim stays true. Oh, yes, but not really closer than yours. Well, a little bit. Okay, the name of this open faced sandwich, I can't even,

it's not gonna happen for me, but it's called Smurrberg. Maybe we'll put that in post, but not my voice. Smurrberg. It's traditionally served on a piece of rye bread, smeared with butter, then artistically layered with. spreads, garnishes, fish, meat, or cheeses, local. to Denmark, of course. Yes! Okay, good. Alright, Rhett, you had eight. Link, seven. So I won a round. Yeah, yeah. Hey, there you go, man. You're making it up little by little.

Okay, I'm gonna cut one of these open. Is it, is it a fried something? Oh, man. It's very slushy. Oh, that's some egg. You're gonna love that one. Oh, no. That's a very, very, very gooey egg. I mean, I don't have a good time with the runny egg. Mmm. Mmm. That's good. I mean, it tastes good. It's like cornbread with a runny egg in the middle. Okay. Uh, Mom? It's just the oozy kind of gets me. You got anything else for me, Mom?

Dockers. Yeah, just come out with it. Man, she must be getting paid well. We're gonna eat real good. Do you have a coupon code? I think she's got, oh, that's the pet dolphin. That's the pet dolphin that she adopted. I've never heard of it. No, you can adopt pet dolphins when you've got doggers money. Have you ever heard her make that sound? She's never, ever laughed that way for me.

This reminds me of what I know is a pupusa. Which, uh, I think is an Ecuadorian thing. Okay. Which is really close to Columbia, so I'm not gonna do. any more thinking Columbia. Oh, I think I may have hit Ecuador. You got you got this fried corn patty. This could be Tanzania. Never been there. Maybe one day i'll get to go and I think. this will be there. Tanzania, don't do me wrong. This is my opportunity to get back in this.

Yes! Okay, what are you laughing at? You just had. But you said yes and to yourself. Like Ed McMahon. Yes! An arepa de huevo. This deep fried maize dough sandwich is made. by pulling the dough from hot oil, partway through. cooking, then a whole egg is cracked inside, and then. it's returned to the fryer. Arepas are popular throughout South America, but arepas de. huevo can be found along the Caribbean coast of Africa.

Columbia. Oh. Columbia. Shoot. The Caribbean coast of Africa. Dang it. Rhett, again, you had eight. Link, 38. This might be insurmountable. You know what would make this better? If I was wearing Dockers. Yep. I love you boys, almost as much as I love Dockers. For our mystery round, we've got a two parter. Some sort of sandwich with green stuff in it.

Look at that. And then like a poached egg with some sort of This. has like ectoplasm in it. It's sweet. Ooh, creamy. I can't tell if that's mayonnaise. Oh, dip it in that. Is that. guava paste? Dip in that, that's actually excellent. Is it soy sauce? And egg juice? I think it's soy sauce. It all kind of works together, yeah. What is that?

It has a little bit of a It's not salty enough to be soy. Like a yeasty thing? Is it gravy? I don't know, but we've got any place on the. board that's not marked because it's mystery. And of course I have, I gotta use my advantage. I mean, this is, this is an insurmountable lead. I'm not gonna be bitter at the start of a season, but I. don't look great and it hurts. Well, hey, hey, it's not over, Link, because if you. name this country exactly and get egg yolk on it, I'll give you the victory.

Oh yeah? Yeah, alright, so I'm getting rid of that. But I'm still gonna go first. I don't know if that soy sauce, it's kind of mixed with. the egg yolk at this point and it's hard to tell but it. has that kind of consistency so I feel like it is on that. side of the world but the lead is so high at this point. that I think you've gotta get it right in order to win. So I'm just gonna. You know, throw it in the middle of the map there. I wish I knew stuff that I could say now that. would make me seem like Just make it up, dude. That's what I do. I had a guess. Just make it up. That's what I do. I just, I'm so tired of you doing it that I just.

don't want to do it. Just say, well, maybe my mom's got something for you. Well, you know what? This, the green stuff in this sandwich Docker Smart. 360 Tech Fabric makes me feel like a new woman. What do you think about that? I want some of that money. I want that Dockers money. I'm not too interested in that. Yeah, right. That's right. It's like a pudding. And that's not soy sauce, so I'm not going. It's very, very tasty. I have to say a country to give it a shot.

Yeah, yeah, yeah. I think this is Brazil. Ha ha ha ha! Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha! Oh, thank you, mom! She did the dolphin laugh at you, man. Alright, I'm sticking with Brazil. It is a big one. Yeet! Okay, hey, hey. You hit Brazil. Yeah, I have a shot. This will be incredibly impressive, and you. definitely deserve the win if it's Brazil.

Yeah, and some dockers, apparently. You just tried kaya toast. Kaya refers to the coconut jam spread between the bread, which is a popular spread all on its own in Southeast Asia. We're using green pandan kaya. However, kaya sandwiches with a side of eggs and. soy sauce is a common menu item in the local. coffee shops of Singapore. Singapore, man. Not anywhere near Brazil. Nope. Nope. Unfortunately, not.

Ahhhh. Alright, Rhett, you had 23, and Link, from your. closest splatter, it was 33. Mmm. Thank you, Chase. You know, bring in the parfait gentleman. You know, the last time I felt this dejected was. when I showed up at school in my pleated Dockers and. everybody had moved on to the unpleated Dockers. Am I right? They say Dockers compliment beards, glasses, and. streaks of gray hair. Oh! No cap.

My mom just said, no cap. All right, great kickoff to the season for you, parfait gentleman. Yes. Thanks for subscribing and clicking that bell. You know what time it is. Dockers! I'm starting to think that the advantages that. I get don't help me. Well, I mean Because, you know, the fart didn't. help me, uh Well, the donut thing helped. Yeah, okay, yeah, actually, it did.

But the Yolky Yart. Did not. I don't think you can talk about your advantages. not helping, because my advantages never help. Like, when have I gotten an advantage. that is any help at all? I mean, sometimes you do get a legitimate Yeah, I. don't think you ever do, and I'm fine with that. Yeah. I'm fine with that. You know what, so am I. Um, you know, I enjoyed my mom tuning in for that one. A lot of you don't know that every time, she doesn't always. talk, but every time we do an international episode,

She's present, watching. And, uh, it makes me wonder, you think she's here when. we're just talking about an international darts episode? Oh, no. Mom? Hi, boys. It's me, Rhett's mama. I'm so happy to see your handsome faces again. Good to see you. So she is here. She's always watching. Yeah, yeah. How you doing, Mom? You having a good time? Did you know Dockers has big and tall pants, shirts and shorts? Oh, yeah.

Perfect for my big and tall boy. Yep. I did know that. You tell me that a lot. Yep. What was that? I'm sorry that we haven't realized that you've been up. there for every DART episode. We haven't talked to you in a lot of them. If you say so, Link. No, I mean it. I'm sorry. You seem tense.

Yeah. I think some Dockers Premium Heritage chinos. would do you good. All right, does that mean apology accepted? I'm not too interested in that. Yeah. That's pretty good. That's pretty good. What are you interested in, though? Ah ha ha ha. Ha ha ha ha. I kind of thought she might say Dockers. Ha ha ha ha. Yeah. Dockers. Ha ha ha ha. Yeah, there you go.

Alright, before we get into this last episode, we would. be remiss if we didn't throw in a very special clip from. a very special international episode from last year. Stevie, tell us what's happening. Yeah, your eyes, your eyes are like all black. Yeah. You're all black and glossy. That's what's happening. I hope we're creeping you out. Okay, the good news is that the first game you're. playing, you know well, and it is International Darts.

Seriously? Really? Yeah, the bad news is, it is international darts. Oh my, yep, here's a dart. Oh no! Okay, so Rhett, you're feeling, yeah, so a couple, a. few months ago we did You're giving him darts in the dark? Yeah. I can hear the map talking, I'm gonna see. if I can throw at him. I'm glad I'm over here, God. Oh man, you, uh, don't, please, Link, don't even. pretend gesture with darts cause you were closer to. Rhett than you thought you were, uh, with that one.

Um, so yeah, we had Hey, put the darts down. Put your darts down. We had, uh, an extra Oreo from International Oreo, so that's. what you're gonna be trying. And of course you're gonna Throw your dart at the country. you think it comes from. Now, you know, any countries are open on this map. that you also can't see. Is the map in the same place as normal? The map's in the same place. I'm eating an Oreo. Our goat in the darkographer, Chase, will still be. measuring, but he's not anywhere near the map.

because we know, Link. I hear, I hear something. I won't be there. I'm by the map. So this is a sweet Oreo. Rhett's gonna go first. As opposed to a savory one. Yeah, it's like, that's how rudimentary my thinking has. gotten here in the dark. Uh, it's a lemon. Lemon flavor. Lemon flavor. I'm gonna try to get some of this cream out of it. I mean, let's not kid ourselves, though. We're just trying to hit map.

You know what I'm saying? I'm good. You gonna aim somewhere specific? Is this basically like video chat syndrome where. because we can't see each other about to talk, we. talking over each other more? The cream is the same. Um, you might wanna move. Yeah, you going first? I think so. I'm going first, right? Yeah, you're taller in the dark. Okay. Hold on, hold on. I haven't moved far enough yet. Okay, I'm gonna move up a little bit.

And I used the desk to sort of align myself. Because I think I don't need to be touched right now. What? I know, but I need to touch you right now. Um. I don't need to be touched right now, but I need. to touch you right now. So, this is the desk, which means that that's the map. What are you I'm echolocating.

It's doing nothing. That's, that's pro, that's pro speech. I just hear myself clicking. Okay, uh Alright, what's your guess? Give it a chunk. It's just lemon, so I think this is somewhere. in, uh, Europe. You hit it! You hit the map! I mean, it definitely sounded like you you hit the map. Okay, so Here's you, here's me, this is what. I you Where I would normally, ho ho ho ho ho. Oh. Ho ho ho ho ho.

How's that working for you? Okay, so, what is my guess? Since you said Europe, I'm gonna say South America. Okay. So you're going low. And I can actually see it, right there. And, I'm aiming for This is a limoncello. Which is a Brazilian word for Oreo. I'm going for Brazil. Brazil. I just want to be very specific so when I hit. it, it's impressive. I know Brazil's big, but I can't see anything.

I'm listening. See if you hit Brazil. Brazil. Here we go. Okay, um I don't know about you, but I don't think That. didn't sound like cork. Uh Let me try again. Can I try again? Yeah, your first one counts, but let's just see. if you can hit them at it. I mean You got an automatic 50. If that was the filing cabinet, you know, you. got an automatic 50. This is just to see if you can vindicate yourself. Okay, here we go.

Okay, that was awesome. You know what? I think two's enough. You hit the file cabinet, or you hit something metal twice. The filing cabinet is behind me, actually. The filing cabinet should be here. Okay, now Chase is going to don't link. I'm throwing another one, Chase. Okay. What the crap? Okay, that's it. You're done. But you're also remarkably consistent.

Okay, okay, Chase is wearing night vision goggles, so he. is going to go to the map now, and please don't throw. anything, and then he's gonna see how well you did. Dang it, didn't work. Only thing I'm about to throw is a tantrum. I don't know what to I like it, though. And So you just had Key Lime Pie Oreos. Oh, Rhett, you should have known that. They have a tart Key Lime Pie filling, sandwiched. between two graham cracker cookies, and come from.

one of the world's leading exporter of key limes, Mexico. Mexico. Brazil would have been nice if you had to hit the map. All right, Link, you have an automatic 50. Rhett, Whoa! That's pretty dang good. Yeah, it's not bad, dude. And I'm a goat. Bah! What? I just I don't know. They put horns on this outfit. You look great. That was one of those moments where people just they insist.

that you have to be trying to do some of the things. that you do, like hitting the cabinet twice, but he's not. It's really dark. Yeah. You ever come in here and just throw darts. at the cabinet for fun? No, no, no, no, no. It wasn't, it wasn't, it wasn't fun. It was completely embarrassing. I couldn't live with myself. But we had a lot of fun with that. you had a lot of fun with it.

So a little teaser as a reward for sticking around this long. in this marathon, uh, we're going to be doing some more. stuff in the dark in 2025. Not just once multiple times. Yep. Yep. Yep. Let's do, let's do some more dark danger. All right, now let's get back to the bonafide list. Uh, last but not least. Hey, tis the season. Let's take a trip back to Christmas past. Yes, it is time to snuggle up and get warm with. a cozy international Christmas food taste test. from December 19th, 2016.

Have yourself a merry little Christmas dinner. Let's talk about that. Good Mythical Morning. Welcome to the final week of Season 10 of. Good Mythical Morning. That's right, another season of Good Mythical. Morning is coming to an end. But don't worry, we're not gonna leave you. hanging, because we will be back January 16th.

Monday, January 16th, with Season 11 of. Good Mythical Morning. But Link, can you believe it? Ten seasons of Good Mythical Morning, down the hatch. Down the hatch. We've eaten all of them. Well, we have eaten a lot of stuff. And we're going to put some more stuff. down the hatch today. Namely, Christmas dinners. Now listen, uh, here in America, we eat. ham and, uh, chicken. Gravy, gravy ized taters, and some. vegetables, and some pies. But we, by no means, have the corner on the.

Christmas dinner market. No! There's Christmas dishes around the world that we. need to be edumacated about today, as we throw darts! It's time to play Where Are We? In the world do these Christmas dinners come from? Okay. We are going to be given a dish that we're. gonna from somewhere. We're gonna eat it. We're gonna eat it, and then we're going to know. guess where we think that dish comes from. And then we're gonna throw it at this map over here that is. manned by our cartographer, who wears a map shirt, who. has unbuttoned his shirt a little bit for the, for.

the holidays apparently. Chase, keep it open. It's fine. Chase the cartographer. And of course you're aiming for the country that you. think this hails from, obviously, the further you. are away from the actual location, the worse you are. Right, so the higher your score, the more you're losing. Ba ba ba ba ba ba ba ba ba ba Ba ba ba ba ba ba. ba ba ba ba ba Alrighty! What is this? I'll slide it down here. Is this a cake? Oh, I know exactly what this is. And I like it.

This is like a spongy, look at that, it's a. crepe or something? No, it's a pancake. Can you grab that right there? Oh my goodness, Rhett. Was that a Oh. Is that an egg? Uh huh. I got some bone in there. I even know what restaurant this is from. I love it. Mmm. Who's going first in this one? Well, you know what it is. Maybe you should go first. Why don't you go first? Why don't you go first? Cause I think last time I went first, so why don't. you go first this time? That's tough, man. I'm gonna keep eating. That is good. That's tasty. This doesn't taste Canadian. What is this stuff?

Can I, can I get it with the Yeah, you're supposed. to eat with darts. I don't know what that stuff is, but I do like it. Okay, where do you think it's from? Is that Swaziland? I didn't know that's where Swaziland was. Is that Swaziland I taste? Man, I'm tempted to aim at Swaziland just. cause I love the name. Man, this is tough. I wasn't aiming for Finland. But at least it's central on the map. Could you just back up just a little bit for a second?

Alright, Mr. Confidence, now what are you aiming for? I know what restaurant this is from. This is from Little Ethiopia, man. There's a place in Little Ethiopia that serves. this exact dish, and so I'm assuming that. it's from Ethiopia. Oh! But I aim for hunger. That's good. I'm saved a little bit. Now you know how bad I am at aim. Okay, guys, this is the Dorawat. It's a thick and spicy stew that contains. meat, vegetables, and eggs, typically eaten. with flatbread, and it is from Ethiopia. Woo hoo hoo! You've been to a restaurant in Little Ethiopia with this?

Yes, man. It's so good. If you're beating me, it's not by much. Cartographer Chase, how do we fare? Link, you have 24. Rhett, you have 15. Okay. Okay. Alright. Okay. This is some sort of egg roll looking thing. I'm assuming I need my fork for this. I didn't know I had a fork. I also have a knife. So sophisticated. Now this is like Is that a cabbage on the outside?

Ooh, it looks like meatballs and rice in here. Hmm. Boy, it smells good. Keep in mind, these are Christmas dishes. Merry Christmas somewhere on Earth. Wow, they do Christmas right in this location. It's like a cabbage and some pork. Thin tomato, meatball y thing. Mmm. That's good. Where's it from? I don't have a clue. Um. But you have to dart first. And yes, dart is a verb.

I'm going just, I'm not using logic here. When that was set in front of me, I was hungry. I'm hungry. I think that's sound logic. Hit the Baltic Sea. Look to the right. Or whatever that sea is, I don't know what it is. I'm just trying to act like I know something. about geography. See, you also have the advantage of being in. the middle of the board, which is a good place for. a clueless person to aim. Which is why I aimed there last time. Oh, that was your strategy. Yeah. That means you can take a big lead here.

I really, you know, I really smell Portugal. You smell Portugal in there? Yeah. Oh, hey, if it is Portugal, good job. Alright, Stevie, give me the, give me the country. I'm hoping to hear. I'm gonna butcher this name, but I'm gonna try it anyway. This is the Toltot Caposta, or Stuffed Cabbage, a traditional. Christmas dinner of minced pork, onions, garlic, and. tomatoes stuffed inside of a cabbage, and it's from Hungry. Oh, you lucky dog! No logic!

Yeah, I'm just playing with you, man. It's like a goulash, man. Alright, Rhett, you had 12, and Link, you had 15. Okay. I was not that much further than you. You weren't. Oh, this one's got lots of gravy in it. Oh, capers! I got some capers happening. What's under that caper? I do not know. It's a slab of something. Boy, that's some kind of meat under there. Okay, this is, this is, this is beefish. Beefish?

It's beefish, but I don't know. It's porkish. You think it's porkish? Yeah, that's porkish. Is it supposed to be cold? Is that part of it? It's cold as ice. Yes. It's supposed to be cold, alright. Those capers give it a strong flavor. Link, you're up first on this one. I thought it was going to be enjoyable and then it started. getting not as enjoyable. It's rare, too. You see the blood coming out of it? Yes. It's rare and cold. I don't think capers have made it down to Australia. Or way up to Canada. Really? You don't think capers have made it to Canada?

I bet you I've had a caper in Canada before. A Canadian caper is not A Canadian caper. A Canadian caper is a pea. Oh, really? Yeah. A Canadian pea. A garden pea. Then what do you think it is? This is tough, people. Mongolia's got some goats. I think this could be goat. You think it's goat? We just ate a rare cold goat? Yeah. I don't, I doubt it. Everything's cold in Canada. Your logic is impeccable. I'm having some difficulty, and I'm. really trying to win this. Alright, here we go. I'm making a choice.

Mongolia, huh? I don't think that's correct. I didn't ask you. I mean, if I had to guess, I would say this is just. based on taste and the fact that they're willing. to eat something cold with a lot of sauce on it. I would think this is something the Finnish. people would be into. But Canadians have weird tastes as well. So I'm going to aim at Iceland. As like a happy medium. Oh, almost hit Finland. Okay guys, this is called vitel tonne,

which is comprised of sliced veal, drenched in. tuna sauce and capers. So it is goat. Lamb goat. Sliced veal? Veal, yes. And it comes from Argentina. Argentina! Argentina, dang! Oh, well. You lucky dog still got a little closer to the tree. You were right, it's beef. Alright Rhett, you had 49. 49. Link, 69. Oh, gosh. You better make a big swing, sucker. Now!

I know where this is from. This is from Kentucky. Hold up. That's just straight up fried chicken, Link. That's right, son. Grab your leg. Do you think it's chicken? I'm gonna grab me a breast. You know what? This might not be chicken in other parts of the world. Oh, you think they're tricking us. This is not from KFC. This isn't original recipe? This is not even chicken. It's gotta be chicken. It's not.

That ain't chicken. Yeah, it is. That's chicken. Is this just like a break where we get to eat chicken? It's like the game, what is it? Chicken break! Okay! We're cleansing our palates. In season 11, we're gonna have a fried chicken. break in every episode. Mmm. Dude, that tastes like the kernels, man. I think it is the kernels. This is the kernels. This is a place where there is a KFC and they. eat it for Christmas? I believe that's what we're experiencing. Eating fried chicken from KFC for Christmas. First of all.

Yes, I'm into that. Second of all, who would have that idea? This seems like the kind of idea you would have. after you had a few drinks. In Kentucky. And that's why I'm gonna go with Australia. I don't know, this also could be the kind of thing. they like to do in Sri Lanka, cause I don't know. a lot about Sri Lanka. Australia it is. Okay. Or not. Maybe it's Japan, I don't know. I actually think it is Japan. You can make a really big swing right here. Link, just so you know. The problem is, The problem is, I think it's Japan.

I literally think that, you know how Japanese people, they like American culture, and Americans like Japanese. culture, and there's like this, there's this amiable. exchange around the holidays. We give them chicken. I'm pretty sure that it's Japan. But if I go with that, I can't, I can't beat you. Unless I nail Japan, which I can't even, I can't. hit Japan with a dart. They give us schoolgirl outfits.

Oh man, I really wish you had a hit Canada. Okay guys, you are correct, this is. Kentucky Fried Chicken. Uh huh. Um, it actually, there was a campaign, ad campaign in. 1974 called Kentucky for Christmas that was so, so. effective that people in this country eat Kentucky. Fried Chicken for Christmas. And that country is Oh, it's right! Dang it! Why didn't you go with your instinct, man? Because I had to beat you, but I have, I was banded against.

myself to try to beat you. Oh, man. Dang. Oh, Chase, no, you're measuring the wrong way. It's a round globe. Measure the other way. It is just flat on the map, dude. But you know what? That's not a bad. Canada to Japan is really close. It's not a bad idea. Right? So Rhett, you had 12 and link, you had 83. I would never fly from Canada to Japan that way. Link, you know what, you can have the whole. bucket of chicken if that makes you feel better. Well, it will . Okay.

I'm not surprised I wore it. Okay, link. You make a good point. That is how you would fly if you were in a plane. So we, we can do it that way, and Chase, what would. that be if you went the, if we went around the globe? That would be 31 centimeters. Yes. Okay. The world is not flat, and I still have a fighting chance. You still have a chance. Let's bring in the last dish. Mmm. That is Look at that. It's so pretty. Look at that. It's some sort of, it's a fish made out of. chitlins or something. I doubt it's chitlins.

I'm gonna go out on a limb. It smells like a dessert. It probably is. Hmm. It smells cakey. What do you want? What part do you want? You want the head? Um, what are the white balls? I don't know. I'm just gonna kind of just grab a Ooh. Oh gosh. Is it hard? I was just thinking, whoop, I just thought it was hard. Come right up. But no, you gotta, you gotta really work this thing. Hmm. Ho ho. Hold up. Uh oh. It smells sweet, doesn't it?

It smells odd. It's good. I'm a little afraid that this might be gross, but I actually like it. It's not good. It is good. It's not good. It's like cake, man. It's like funnel cake. Alright. Oh. This is do or die for the Linkster. This is tough. I think, I think because it was in like a fish pattern, that must mean that it's from an oceanic country. Huh. Japan has been taken, but they could double up on Japan.

You never know. Man, Sri Lanka's just hiding down there in the ocean. Every country except Mongolia is touching the water. No, Hungary isn't. We've already been there. Sri Lanka hasn't been an answer, has it? It has not. Sri Lanka's just down there, ready to get oceanified. Okay. Almost hit the A in Sri Lanka, a little to the. right of the dot, but alright, feeling good. Okay, a fish?

Do you think there's fish in that? No, no, but it's shaped like a fish, Link. It was. And it's shaped like a catfish, so I actually. think the Sri Lanka's a pretty good guess. But, the fish, the Swedish fish, comes from Sweden, which is in the same part of the world as Finland. Ooh. Finnish strong, Rhett. I don't think Canadians would do this. Canadians are way too practical to make food into. the shape of an animal.

Finland. Oh! So close! Okay guys, this is called Lampreja de Ovos, which is. a platter of nothing but sugary egg yolks formed into. the shape of a lampre fish, lying on top of more sugary. egg yolks, from Portugal. Oh! Portugal? Oh! Oh! Link, I'm sorry, man. Rhett, you have won outright, but you know what? It's the holiday season, so you can say that I won, too.

Okay. Is that how it works? We're both winners. It's the holiday season, and a loss but a win, somehow. Maybe next time, Link. Thanks for liking, commenting, and subscribing.
