barbecue dishes come from? Part two. I think we're ready to taste some barbecue and we. were told that the mythical crew has gone ahead and. purchased some custom plates. from sellers on Etsy that our barbecue's. gonna be served on today. Mm-hmm. That's right, boys. Today you'll be trying barbecue dishes from all. over the globe and throwing your darts at where. you think they're from. Chase, the barbecutie cartographer will be. measuring your darts to determine points.

He's also sporting a custom apron from Etsy. Seller Swanky Badger. Of course, all of today's custom plates and Chase's. apron can be found over at etsy.com/mythical. Of course. Mm-hmm. Uh, let's, it looks like that's a dart proof. Yeah, let's try it. All right, let's go. I'm ready today. You just dropped that on my hand. Well, I didn't hit Chase. That was a joke. Were you trying to be cute? What if that went right through? That's my job.

Well, I'm sure you'd find a way to complain about it. Yeah, I would. Let's go ahead and bring in that first dish, shall we? Raw meat. And this is part of it. I see, Hot stone. Touch it and make sure it's hot. Woo. I can tell that is a hot stone. What did you do? Burn it. Uh, why don't you grab two of these that obviously are. beef in the middle there. And we'll cook those 'cause that can cook fast. Look at that.

Look at this. That's a hot salted stone. That's a hot rock man. Where do they do this? I went to a fancy restaurant one time and they did this, but I don't remember if it was a restaurant that had. a country attached to it. Like I think that was a college buddy trip. I think I was there for that. Oh, that was just a like a Coloradan restaurant. Yeah, didn't they bring out a stone and then we--. Oh, nice, Link. Dude, hey, you're cooking, you're cooking.

Let him cook. I'm grilling. Let the man cook. I'm doing some grilling. Now, I'm gonna use the cook. Now, we don't call this barbecuing because. barbecue to us is meat. I'm gonna let this, I'm gonna use this. So, so, okay, now stop cooking because I'm gonna. use one that hasn't touched. Raw, raw meat. See, this is why we have this. Oh. So now go in here and make sure that, and now. And not use this. Yeah, and I'll just use this to eat. Ooh, that really put some, let's put some heat in.

Some heat out. Hot. Is it hot? Is it real hot? It's good. Oh, you in trouble? I'm kind of scared of it, you know, it's like rock. heated meat makes me scared. now. I've never seen anybody have so much trouble. I didn't want to eat all of it. Okay. I'm gonna dump the rest of this on here.

Sorry to disappoint you. So we can see this custom made plate. Oh, oh. Get it on there. Look at that. It's Sean. What? Lookin' every which way. That's my boy. That's my bull guy. Boy. Oh man. Hey Sean. Are you looking at me? And he's looking at you at the same time? I love that. I'm gonna take that home.

I would like to wash it first. Alright, so you won last time. You're up. All right, I'm gonna go first. I'll also say that because Link won last time, that. means that Rhett, you get an advantage in this game. So for any one round you can make Link flip a burger with. his non-dart throwing hand while he throws his dart. And you, look at how much trouble I had with that meat. Yeah, you couldn't even finish it. Um, I'm feeling Argentina.

Whenever I think about just the grilling of the meats, I always think down there in South America and then. New Zealand, of course, I, I encountered lots of meats. down there, but I'm gonna stick with Argentina and. all I'm gonna do is throw this dart right there at it. Uh, hoping I could get you to go for Mongolia. Steak your claim. Oh, a little bit of Falkland Islands. In my life.

I was trying to, I did. How close did I get to drawing you to Mongolia? Not really that close. You thought about it for a second. Not really that close. Mm. I think the beef of it all, the pork of it all. They do that. They do that in Argentina too though. I, I mean, I'm thinking Argentina just because of the. heavy concentration on beef. Uh, what about all that igneous rock in New Zealand? You've been to New Zealand, I haven't. And you didn't pick it, so I'm going to take that as a hint.

Oh, whoa. You just had pura. A form of barbecue in which thin slices of local meat. are cooked on a hot stone. A popular ski food to be eaten after a day. on the Alps in France. Oh, France nuts. Rock to cook? Yep, they'll do it. They'll do it. I bet you they got it in Argentina. What do they call a rock in France? Le rock.

I was gonna say a Jacque. Why? Why were you gonna, okay. All right. Link, you had 35. Rhett, 19. Okay. All right. I got lucky. Yes. I'll take it. I'll take it. You did. Full fish alert. Rosemary. Rosemary on the top. Oh, look at this fishy. Oh, we have a, we have a little sentence we revealed. So this fish is head and tail and all. The hosts with the most.

Ooh, it is slippery. Take the bait. What's so shiny? Annoying personalities. The host with the most. Oh, uh, what you trying, what are you trying to say? Who? I don't know. It's meant for somebody else, so I think it's referring. to other, other people. Alright. I'm just gonna bite a little bit of. Just bite the fish. Also to let you know what you're playing for today, the loser will have to make the winner a Father's Day.

card in Good Mythical More. Oh, no, no, I don't wanna do that. Well, fish isn't bad, but it. It's a little fishy. They're not trying to hide the fishiness. Maybe some salt on that thing. Now, wouldn't you think, Link? Woo. That is fishy fish. That is the fishiest fish. Yes. Yup. Nope, nope, nope, nope. No. Wouldn't you think? Nope. Don't say it. That fish that looks like this, that's got this. rosemary, it just screams Iceland, doesn't it?

Uh, well, Iceland's green, remember? Greenland's ice. But it's, there's lots of fish. Yeah, there's, it is surrounded by probably fish. But another even more interesting thing. about these fish that might be from Iceland. Is that you're gonna be in Iceland this summer. when I'm in Croatia. Am I? And they're both up there. What are the chances? I didn't know you were going to Croatia and I. haven't told you that. I'm not going to Iceland. Uh, you haven't told you that you're not going to Iceland? Yeah. I didn't tell you that. Well, you're not.

Why are you going to Iceland? I'm just not ready. What? Well, then I'm not going to Croatia. Yeah, let's just, let's just hang, call. the whole thing off. Let's just hang out here. Where are you going? You know, I don't know. Maybe Ireland. Hmm. Oh my home country that I've never been to. Right. Uh, okay. Well you can say hello to my people for me. So are you going for the Iceland? Yeah. I mean, I'm just thinking fish. Like I think that they might do this kind of. thing in Indonesia, but the rosemary, there's no, there's.

nothing that I would call an Asian flavor in that. Nope. It's, it feels fish. You just pulled like something off of an evergreen tree. Ever green in Iceland, just like you were saying. Golly, that's a little high. I hit Greenland. Now you are also saying that Croatia is the other choice, and I agree with that. That could be the other place I would go, but since. you've left the door open for Iceland, I want to.

hit Iceland, get zero, but then also hedge you out. of everything to the east. Hedge me. Come on Iceland. Oh yeah. There we go. You just had cradle, a word, which refers to not only. a simple metal grate, but is also a regional. ideology and lifestyle. during the summer, often done over an open fire. This traditional way of grilling fresh sardines. can be found in Croatia.

Oh, I could've gone for it. You should've done it, man. I left open. Open Croatia. All right. 27 for Rhett. Nine for Link. Oh. Oh, don't you think I'm cute? Uh, I think you, I think you're a worthy barbecutie. Let it, let it speak for itself. Sorry. I was fishing for that one. What is this, dumplings, or? The ch, I think it's just, is it chicken? Chicken. Some sort of fried chicken.

But fried and then grilled. Oh, it's soft. Oh. Oh gosh. You got, they got a picture of you on the plate. Okay. Okay. I'm listen. I know I don't have a chin, but my eyes are not that lazy. and have never been that lazy. You're like your dog, man. Oh, okay. What's it say under there? It says chinspirational.

That's great. That is great. Good. Great. Why is it so mushy? It's not actually meat. Is it just grilled chicken fat? Chicken skin? I don't know. You're up. Oh, I'm up and I'm gonna deploy my disa, my advantage, your disadvantage, you gotta flip a burger. with your left hand. Okay. As you throw this. So flip. A burger flip and throw it.

Not flip and flip, then throw, flip and. throw at the same time. So it would be like flip and throw like that? Is that what you're saying? Like this flip and throw, flip and throw at the same time? Yeah. Flip and throw. Yeah. Yeah. And if you don't catch it, it doesn't count. What? No, that, oh, I just made that up. No, it's, I'm a, it's like this is the grill. Okay. Yeah. There you go. There's no sauce on it.

There's a seasoning. There's just, it's salted, but. Those eyes are photoshopped, aren't they? Let's just, I mean, let's just, I mean, I. wanna be clear here. I'm not Rodney Dangerfield. I just don't know what it is at all besides. like chicken fat. I'm gonna split the diff between Ethiopia and Mongolia. 'cause I think that's where, and then I'm gonna,

how do I do this? Well, you, I mean, I mean, you could, you could, if you. wanted to move your left hand out of the way of your right. hand, I mean, I, I know this is my advantage, but I'm gonna. flip it here and I'm gonna do this at the same time. Yeah. Okay. You're pretty close to Mongolia, which. is a good answer. And what was that sound? Was that signifying that I got it right? I hold on. Or did I do that?

Did did the, did the dart hit. Yeah, the Dart hit the? No, the spatula. The spatula hit that. Yeah. How did you get over there? And then the burgers over here? I don't understand what happened. Boy, I gotta watch that back. I never watch it back. I never, I never watched this show. We gotta watch it back. But hey man, put it on my calendar. Okay. Alright. So two centimeters, celebr, celebrate the winners. Yes, that's right. Uh, you thinkin' "mongjolia"? Well, here's what I'm really hoping for. I'm really hoping.

Just so you know that this is one of those situations. where when Stevie gets ready to explain it, all of a sudden. we hear a different voice. And it's Davin's voice explaining that this. is from Indonesia. Oh, where they eat the grilled fat. Where's Davin? Well, Davin's still standing. Okay. Thanks for the hint. Now he's, now I see him walking over there. Oh, now he's walking over there. Oh.

Gosh, uh, I, no, honestly, I thought Ethiopia was, was it. But I don't think, I mean, it's not, it's chicken. It's not sheep. No, it's not. It's not sheep. Mongolia is a good guess. Ethiopia is a good guess. Indonesia is a good guess. Ethiopia. Pretty close to Ethiopia. Let's see if it matters. You just said Mollejas, a sweet bread. This is specifically the thymus of beef cattle.

It is prepared by soaking the meat in milk overnight. and then grilling it to form a crispy outside, and. this dish is usually served as a starter in Argentina. Hahahaha! He got us. He got-- the thymus?? Thymus. What's the thymus? What does the thymus do? It's like a little organ part. It's a, yeah, it was super spongy. I was like, I don't think there's this much fat. concentrated in any chicken. All right. Link. You had 48.

Rhett, 39. Oh, all right. It's close. Going into the final round. Ooh, we got a big old meat plate. Lots of meat here and there's like a seasoning on everything. that you might think was hair. There's little thin little things, but it's like. a, it's not saffron, but. It does look like hair. Do you wanna--. Actually, I have a plate for you to put those on, you know?

Oh yeah. Custom plate. World's best Dad. Aw, that's sweet. And Link. Dad, you're a good dad. You're a good dad, Link. Well, I, I'm, I'm a dad. I'm not the worst. Hey, that seasoning. It's weird that it's like hair. But the seasoning is great.

Like, you know, what is that? It's a like a greenish pasty. Hmm. Some sort. Where would they do this? I got you exactly where I want you though. Seven centimeters ahead of me making you have to go first. The stakes are high. And wide, dad. I'm gonna give you a little bit for that. Chase. You can eat anything off this plate you want.

In fact, anybody can later because we have. lots of meat here. Thank you. It's, it is very good. There's some spice in it. It is quite a marinade. Save that for later. What is that? A little bit spicy. The shrimp throwing me off a little bit. If I throw it on the left, then all you have to do is. throw it a little bit further on the right and you get.

all these other countries. Mm-hmm. If I throw it in the middle, I force you to make a decision. Yep. Yep. And since I'm not confident. No, you're not. I'm not confident that this is not, I don't know, man. I'm, you know what? I'm gonna let you decide this. Alright. I'm throwing it right in the middle of the map and you have. to make a decision whether it's Latin American or Asian. or somewhere in between. Okay. You feel comfortable with that? Yeah. Yeah.

Gimme the ball coach. Let me put it away. Woo. Whoop. Whoop. Okay. I, to me it almost felt like a jerk seasoning, but not so. it was like pseudo Caribbean. Hmm. Pseudo Caribbean. I think that's what we're, that would explain the shrimp. And I need to go, so I need to go west. Of you. Young man. 7.1 centimeters and I'm gonna go a little bit down.

That's so good. Towards South America A little bit. Okay. Okay. All right. I'll live with that choice. You just had Dot Seen a style of barbecue that is made on. a traditional griddle and meant to be served communally. on a sharing platter. Marinated in sweet and savory dipping sauce, and the. little hairs are lemongrass before being grilled.

This meat is most often enjoyed with family. on holidays or for special occasions in. Laos. Oh, it was over there. Link. Link. I left the door open and you didn't walk through it. What a lousy outcome. Meat cute. All right, Link. You had 45, Link. Sorry, Rhett. Yeah, that's me.

27. Alright. I pulled it out in the end. Congratulations, Rhett, for your wins. That means Link. You have to write Rhett a Father's Day card. Well, I am the worst world's best dad, so. that's very fitting. Thanks again to Etsy for sponsoring today's episode.
